Mega Edition: Ghislaine Maxwell And Her Backyard Brawl With Prosecutors (9/17/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

0:00
Speaker 1: Our article tonight is from the AP, and the headline is,
0:05
Speaker 1: Evidence Deadline Looms in Case of Epstein's Ex-Girlfriend. Well, the
0:09
Speaker 1: headline is ridiculous, first and foremost. Why do people still
0:14
Speaker 1: insist on calling her his ex-girlfriend? And this is the AP.
0:18
Speaker 1: Isn't the AP supposed to be the one who calls
0:21
Speaker 1: the election results tonight? Boy, I have a lot of
0:24
Speaker 1: confidence in that and in them. This article was authored
0:28
Speaker 1: by Larry Neumeister. And just so we're clear, she wasn't
0:32
Speaker 1: his girlfriend. She was his co-conspirator, fellow child abuser, general
0:37
Speaker 1: all-around scuzzbag, and, let's hear it from the back, bipedal serpent.
0:44
Speaker 1: Prosecutors and defense lawyers are clashing days before a deadline
0:48
Speaker 1: for evidence to be turned over in the prosecution of
0:51
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's one-time girlfriend, wrong, co-conspirator, fellow child abuser, general
0:58
Speaker 1: all-around scuzzbag, and bipedal serpent on charges that she recruited
1:04
Speaker 1: girls for him sexually to abuse. So, the lawyers here are,
1:13
Speaker 1: just like we said in the opening, they're definitely wrangling
1:15
Speaker 1: and they're trying to pull on whatever levers that they
1:18
Speaker 1: think that they can pull on to try and get
1:20
Speaker 1: this to move in the direction they want it to move.
1:23
Speaker 1: They know that they're up against it. They know that
1:25
Speaker 1: there is a absolute ton of evidence and the fact
1:29
Speaker 1: that the prosecution is waiting until the very last minute
1:33
Speaker 1: just once again adds more weight to the fact that
1:38
Speaker 1: I think that they're going to be dropping more charges
1:41
Speaker 1: on them more charges and when I say more charges
1:44
Speaker 1: I mean Rico we know that this didn't happen in
1:46
Speaker 1: a vacuum we know that this wasn't a crime of
1:48
Speaker 1: one person it was obviously a criminal conspiracy that Ghislaine
1:53
Speaker 1: Maxwell was involved in up to her forehead So I
1:57
Speaker 1: expect to see those charges, RICO charges and similar, be
2:02
Speaker 1: slapped on these people as soon as other people are
2:07
Speaker 1: brought into the mix. Indictments are sealed, etc.
2:10
Speaker 2: etc.
2:14
Speaker 1: The trial of Ghislaine Maxwell is not scheduled to start
2:16
Speaker 1: until July, but prosecutors must turn over evidence to her
2:20
Speaker 1: lawyers by Monday. So they got less than a week,
2:25
Speaker 1: six days. And they have some stuff they got to
2:28
Speaker 1: get working on to turn over. There's no doubt about it.
2:30
Speaker 1: But we're talking about the federal government here. We know
2:33
Speaker 1: they're going to wait till the very last minute. If
2:35
Speaker 1: it wasn't, if it was that, if they were waiting
2:37
Speaker 1: on you, of course, it's never the last minute, right?
2:40
Speaker 1: Like say you owe the IRS money. They're coming to
2:42
Speaker 1: get it right away.
2:43
Speaker 2: But if the IRS owes.
2:44
Speaker 1: You money, forget it. Same situation here. The federal government
2:49
Speaker 1: will have it in by the deadline or they'll file
2:52
Speaker 1: some kind of extension or whatever the hell. sort of,
2:58
Speaker 1: you know, strategy you use in that situation. I don't
3:03
Speaker 1: even know what would occur there, right? If they needed
3:06
Speaker 1: more time, I guess they could file for an extension.
3:08
Speaker 1: That would make sense. But again, who the hell knows, right?
3:11
Speaker 1: I'm certainly not a lawyer. Maxwell has pleaded not guilty
3:15
Speaker 1: to charges alleging that she recruited three girls in the
3:18
Speaker 1: mid-1990s for Epstein to abuse. Epstein killed himself, allegedly, in
3:24
Speaker 1: a Manhattan federal lockup in August 2019 as he awaited
3:28
Speaker 1: trial on sex trafficking charges. So there's a lot of
3:33
Speaker 1: leaps being made in this article by the austere AP.
3:39
Speaker 2: He killed himself, huh? That's definitive?
3:41
Speaker 1: Or is that just the you know, what you were told,
3:44
Speaker 1: the narrative you were told by the same people that
3:47
Speaker 1: you were telling us are liars on a regular basis.
3:49
Speaker 2: Which way is it, AP?
3:51
Speaker 1: Are you just going to accept that narrative or are
3:53
Speaker 1: you going to do some journalistic work and try to
3:56
Speaker 1: get to the bottom of it? I guess we'll have
3:58
Speaker 1: to wait to see what answer we get from AP
4:02
Speaker 1: on something like that, considering, well, you know, On October 30th,
4:08
Speaker 1: prosecutors said in a letter to a Manhattan federal court
4:11
Speaker 1: judge that they will, in the next week, give Maxwell's
4:14
Speaker 1: lawyers over 1.2 million documents from devices seized from Epstein's residences.
4:20
Speaker 2: 1.2 million documents.
4:24
Speaker 1: And that's just what they weren't able to destroy, right?
4:27
Speaker 1: I wonder what they were able to flush. I wonder
4:29
Speaker 1: what they were able to hide at Zorro Ranch, which
4:31
Speaker 1: still hasn't been raided. Maybe I should just bring that
4:34
Speaker 1: up in every episode we do from here on out,
4:37
Speaker 1: at least for a second about Zorro Ranch. It's absolutely ludicrous.
4:43
Speaker 1: ludicrous that Zorro Ranch has not been raided. Considering everything
4:48
Speaker 1: we know about Jeffrey Epstein, about how he had stash spots,
4:51
Speaker 1: about how we know New Mexico and Zorro Ranch was
4:55
Speaker 1: used as a place to abuse girls, yet nobody has
4:59
Speaker 1: decided to raid it. Not the federal prosecutors and not
5:02
Speaker 1: the state prosecutors. It's an absolute joke. They say they've
5:11
Speaker 1: already turned over more than 350,000 pages of documents, including
5:15
Speaker 1: search warrants, subpoena returns, and some records related to law
5:19
Speaker 1: enforcement investigations of Epstein.
5:21
Speaker 2: So the deadline's Monday. They have roughly.
5:26
Speaker 1: I don't know, 900,000 more documents to turn over, 850,000
5:31
Speaker 1: more documents to turn over. And I am almost sure
5:35
Speaker 1: at this point that they will have them turned over
5:37
Speaker 1: by Monday. In my opinion, They're just waiting them out,
5:42
Speaker 1: and now the prosecution is dragging its feet the same
5:45
Speaker 1: way the defense did. The shoe is on the other
5:48
Speaker 1: foot now, and they're taking their merry old time.
5:51
Speaker 2: They're not in a rush.
5:53
Speaker 1: The wheels of justice grind slowly. Defense lawyers have complained
6:00
Speaker 1: since Maxwell's July arrest that prosecutors are slow-walking the turnover
6:04
Speaker 1: of evidence the defense needs to prepare its arguments to
6:08
Speaker 1: challenge charges against the 58-year-old British socialite.
6:14
Speaker 2: Uh, what? Co-conspirator?
6:17
Speaker 1: General all-around scuzzbag and, well, bipedal serpent, you mean, right?
6:24
Speaker 1: The arguments are due December 21st. So, that's going to be,
6:29
Speaker 1: December 21st is going to be pretty, uh, interesting in
6:32
Speaker 1: my opinion. That's where we're going to start getting into
6:34
Speaker 1: the meat of things, right? Discovery phase, more evidence. Things
6:39
Speaker 1: are going to start getting really, really real inside of
6:42
Speaker 1: that courtroom. And hopefully I'll be able to access those
6:46
Speaker 1: trials every time that they're taking place via the phone system.
6:52
Speaker 1: And then, of course, like I said, in July, when
6:54
Speaker 1: the actual trial itself starts, I will be in New
6:57
Speaker 1: York and covering it for its duration, I hope.
7:02
Speaker 2: Summer is gone. Winter is coming.
7:05
Speaker 1: And the government has failed to make good on its promises,
7:08
Speaker 1: the lawyers wrote.
7:10
Speaker 2: What do they think? They're George R.R.
7:11
Speaker 1: Martin.
7:12
Speaker 2: Winter is coming. Shut up.
7:14
Speaker 1: All right, shut up. You'll get it on the day
7:17
Speaker 1: of the deadline.
7:18
Speaker 2: Don't try.
7:19
Speaker 1: You see, this is what they do. They just keep,
7:22
Speaker 1: you know, poking and poking and poking and prodding. And
7:26
Speaker 1: hopefully they find a technicality. Like I said in the
7:28
Speaker 1: very beginning, they'll throw enough shit against the wall, hoping
7:31
Speaker 1: something will stick. And this is more of that. The
7:34
Speaker 1: lawyer said in an October 23rd letter to the trial
7:38
Speaker 1: judge that prosecutors had promised substantial production of evidence would
7:42
Speaker 1: occur quickly. But so far, it has been substantial in size,
7:47
Speaker 1: not substance. Right there, they tell you what they really mean.
7:51
Speaker 1: This is all about getting early access, right? They're not
7:54
Speaker 1: happy with what they got. They want what they want.
7:57
Speaker 1: And unfortunately, that's not how this works. They will get
8:00
Speaker 1: what the prosecution releases as long as it's at the deadline.
8:06
Speaker 1: And then at the deadline, they'll get everything else. It's
8:09
Speaker 1: pretty simple how this works. But again, they want to
8:11
Speaker 1: stay in the news. They want to keep it relevant.
8:14
Speaker 1: They want to make it seem like Ghislaine Maxwell is
8:16
Speaker 1: getting a raw deal. They're trying to build some public
8:19
Speaker 1: support for this woman. Unfortunately for them, me, my beard,
8:24
Speaker 1: and all of the amazing listeners of The Jeffrey Epstein
8:28
Speaker 1: Show see right through it. They said about one fourth
8:32
Speaker 1: of the documents turned over so far relate to materials
8:35
Speaker 1: from civil litigation to which Ms. Maxwell was a party
8:39
Speaker 1: and the remainder relate largely to Epstein and have nothing
8:42
Speaker 1: to do with the 1994 to 1997 time period of
8:46
Speaker 1: the conspiracy alleged in charges against her. And that's significant
8:50
Speaker 1: in my opinion as well. The period of conspiracy alleged
8:55
Speaker 1: in charges against her. So that means in my opinion,
8:59
Speaker 1: and again, I just like to be clear when I'm
9:01
Speaker 1: just giving you my opinion and want to make sure
9:04
Speaker 1: we're clear about that. I don't have any inside information here.
9:07
Speaker 1: But it would seem to me that they don't want
9:11
Speaker 1: to turn this evidence over because of the other charges
9:14
Speaker 1: that are coming. They don't want to tip their hand
9:16
Speaker 1: to the other co-conspirators. So they're going to wait until
9:19
Speaker 1: the very last minute. And I would not be surprised
9:22
Speaker 1: if Monday isn't a day that maybe we see some
9:25
Speaker 1: unsealed indictments. Again, I don't have any inside information that's
9:28
Speaker 1: giving me that, feeding me that. That's just a hunch
9:31
Speaker 1: that maybe we'll see something like that, considering that's the deadline.
9:35
Speaker 1: And once they give over the information they have, the
9:38
Speaker 1: hand is tipped. So perhaps we'll see some unsealed indictments
9:41
Speaker 1: and maybe we'll see some.
9:42
Speaker 2: Arrests next week. Maybe. We'll see.
9:46
Speaker 1: In their letter, prosecutors called the defense claims factually and
9:50
Speaker 1: legally incorrect.
9:52
Speaker 2: Not shocking.
9:53
Speaker 1: We know that the prosecution is working their strategy here.
9:57
Speaker 2: They have a way they're going about this.
10:00
Speaker 1: They're doing it in a manner where they are not
10:03
Speaker 1: going to give the defense any sort of ammunition or
10:08
Speaker 1: any tips to maybe get a jump on them. They've
10:13
Speaker 1: been very precise thus far since Maxwell has been arrested.
10:18
Speaker 1: Contrary to the defense's suggestion, the government has made numerous
10:21
Speaker 1: productions consistent with the discovery schedule in this case and
10:25
Speaker 1: is working diligently to continue to meet the discovery deadlines
10:29
Speaker 1: in this case, they wrote. So the prosecution is saying, look,
10:34
Speaker 1: we have turned over a numerous amount of documents. We're
10:41
Speaker 1: working diligently. And by the date of the deadline, all
10:44
Speaker 1: of the discovery material will be turned over to the prosecution.
10:48
Speaker 1: And of course, it was a preemptive strike by the defense, right? Again,
10:53
Speaker 1: they're trying to refurbish her image here. They're trying to,
10:56
Speaker 1: you know, gin up some support for their client in
10:59
Speaker 1: the public eye. But we all know that that's not
11:02
Speaker 1: going to work. They could try that all they want.
11:05
Speaker 1: They can attempt to do that and they can try
11:08
Speaker 1: and make it look like she's getting.
11:09
Speaker 2: This absurdly horrible treatment.
11:12
Speaker 1: But it's rather obvious that if you have a scale
11:15
Speaker 1: in your jail cell and you have a computer in
11:18
Speaker 1: your jail cell, that you're the one that's getting special treatment.
11:21
Speaker 1: Nobody else and nobody's treating you badly. So I don't,
11:26
Speaker 1: you know, again, it's just more noise and a way
11:30
Speaker 1: for them to try and get some support for their
11:33
Speaker 1: client by misleading the public and saying she's being treated
11:37
Speaker 1: in such a draconian manner. Prosecutors also disputed defense claims
11:45
Speaker 1: that Maxwell did not have adequate access to evidence at
11:48
Speaker 1: the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where she is held
11:51
Speaker 1: without bail. Prosecutors said she had access to the materials
11:55
Speaker 1: 13 hours per day longer than any other inmate. So
12:00
Speaker 1: there you go, folks, okay? She has access longer than
12:03
Speaker 1: any other inmate. Why?
12:05
Speaker 2: What makes her so special?
12:07
Speaker 1: And that's why when people like Brian Basham come out,
12:10
Speaker 1: and start piping off out of the side of their
12:12
Speaker 1: neck about how she's being treated so poorly.
12:15
Speaker 2: She can't have her lettuce wrap. Give me a break, dude.
12:18
Speaker 1: She's getting way more time on the computer than anybody else.
12:21
Speaker 1: She's getting way more time than anybody else to have
12:24
Speaker 1: a go-through of the documents. She has a scale. She
12:27
Speaker 1: was one of the first people to see a lawyer.
12:29
Speaker 2: I mean, what more do you want?
12:31
Speaker 1: She's no longer running around the halls of Mar-a-Lago. She's
12:35
Speaker 1: no longer lounging by the pool down in Palm Beach.
12:39
Speaker 1: She is now a guest of the state, and she
12:42
Speaker 1: should be treated like any other inmate. If you'd like
12:48
Speaker 1: to contact me, you can do that at bobbycapucci at protonmail.com.
12:52
Speaker 1: That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at protonmail.com. You can also find me on
12:59
Speaker 1: Twitter at B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I. Hello everyone and welcome to
13:07
Speaker 1: the Jeffrey Epstein Show. I'm your host, Bobby Capucci, and
13:13
Speaker 1: this is a morning update. What's up everyone and greetings
13:18
Speaker 1: from Sin City. Hope that you're all having a great
13:22
Speaker 1: morning out there, and hopefully you all had a great
13:25
Speaker 1: weekend as well. You know, we're just going to jump
13:28
Speaker 1: right in this morning. No sense dilly-dallying, no sense killing time.
13:33
Speaker 1: Let's just jump right into the topic. And get to it,
13:37
Speaker 1: shall we? Today, we're going to talk about Ghislaine Maxwell
13:42
Speaker 1: and her team's attempts to try and get the jurors
13:48
Speaker 1: into a secret environment to screen them. Now, that usually
13:54
Speaker 1: doesn't happen like that. It's usually a sidebar where they
13:58
Speaker 1: go and discuss it with the judge, something like that.
14:01
Speaker 1: But of course, Ghislaine Maxwell's people are asking for special privileges,
14:06
Speaker 1: asking for special conditions for their very special client. It's
14:13
Speaker 1: also vomit inducing to me because I look at this
14:18
Speaker 1: and every time I see Ghislaine Maxwell and the way
14:21
Speaker 1: she's being treated in jail, I see I see Kalief
14:24
Speaker 1: Browder and I see the way he was treated in
14:26
Speaker 1: jail and I see the way he was treated. By
14:29
Speaker 1: the authorities. And it sickens me. To see this lady
14:34
Speaker 1: still up here. Yelling and moaning and complaining. About her conditions.
14:39
Speaker 1: Lady you're in jail. You're not at the Waldorf Astoria.
14:43
Speaker 2: You're not at your.
14:44
Speaker 1: Belgrave condominium. You are in a shithole. Federal holding cell.
14:53
Speaker 1: Basically is where you are lady.
14:55
Speaker 2: So yeah. The conditions aren't going to be optimal. But
14:59
Speaker 2: enough is enough.
15:01
Speaker 1: And now, to think you're going to get extra special
15:04
Speaker 1: privileges with the jury, it's just, it's ridiculous, but it's
15:08
Speaker 1: not unexpected. We all know that Ghislaine Maxwell's lawyers, her team,
15:14
Speaker 1: everyone around her, they're playing a game of technicalities and loopholes, folks.
15:20
Speaker 1: They're not out here talking about, oh, my client's innocent.
15:24
Speaker 1: They're looking for whatever sort of technicality or loophole that
15:27
Speaker 1: they can find in the law to that was put
15:29
Speaker 1: on the books by their friends, by the way, that
15:32
Speaker 1: they can wiggle off of the hook with. And that's
15:34
Speaker 1: why those little loopholes and back doors are put into
15:38
Speaker 1: these laws. So when these sick bastard politicians or their
15:42
Speaker 1: handlers or their bag men get into trouble, well, they
15:46
Speaker 1: don't ever have to really get into trouble, do they?
15:49
Speaker 1: Because there's a technicality or a loophole that their $ 2, 000
15:53
Speaker 1: an hour lawyer will find. Meanwhile, if you get busted...
15:59
Speaker 1: with a little bit of pot, or God forbid, some cocaine, well,
16:04
Speaker 1: get ready for a shit show. But if you're a
16:07
Speaker 1: human trafficker, you don't even get hit with RICO, or
16:10
Speaker 1: the Mann Act, or anything like that. But your life
16:14
Speaker 1: is so terrible. You're being treated so unfairly, Ghislaine Maxwell.
16:18
Speaker 2: Please, shut your mouth.
16:24
Speaker 1: Alright, so we have an article today from the great
16:26
Speaker 1: Adam Clasfeld. Over at Law and Crime. Let's see what
16:31
Speaker 1: Adam's talking about.
16:32
Speaker 2: Headline.
16:33
Speaker 1: Prosecutors oppose Ghislaine Maxwell's bid... To let her attorney screen
16:37
Speaker 1: potential jurors in secret. It's always secrets with these people too, right?
16:42
Speaker 1: Behind the curtain. Oh, we have to make sure that
16:45
Speaker 1: it's sealed. We have to shut up. I'm so tired
16:49
Speaker 1: of these people.
16:50
Speaker 2: I mean... The nonsense that they put the rest of
16:54
Speaker 2: us through... On a regular basis....
17:00
Speaker 1: Meanwhile, they sit there in their ivory towers, not worrying
17:03
Speaker 1: about a damn thing, while the rest of us go
17:05
Speaker 1: to the grocery store and wonder if the shelves are
17:08
Speaker 1: ever going to be filled again. A little more than
17:14
Speaker 1: a month before the anticipated start of a sex trafficking trial,
17:18
Speaker 1: federal prosecutors told a judge on Monday that Ghislaine Maxwell's
17:22
Speaker 1: lawyers should not be allowed to screen potential jurors in
17:26
Speaker 1: private grilling sessions.
17:27
Speaker 2: That makes sense.
17:29
Speaker 1: Why does it have to be done in private is
17:31
Speaker 1: my question. Haven't we had enough things done in private here?
17:35
Speaker 1: Enough things happening in the shadows? I think the public
17:40
Speaker 1: and the survivors demand transparency here. So let's get with it, okay?
17:47
Speaker 1: A little more transparency, a little less spin. The government
17:54
Speaker 1: respectfully submits that the well-established practice in this district should
17:57
Speaker 1: be followed. That is, the court should ask most questions
18:01
Speaker 1: in open court and ask sensitive questions, such as those
18:05
Speaker 1: that relate to sexual abuse and media exposure, at sidebar.
18:09
Speaker 1: Assistant U.S. Attorney Allison Moe wrote in a five-page letter. Now, again,
18:14
Speaker 1: with Allison Moe, as far as all of the prosecutors,
18:18
Speaker 1: I find her to be the most productive example. and
18:21
Speaker 1: the one that's most likely to really pursue justice here.
18:26
Speaker 1: She comes off as somebody who really cares, and she
18:29
Speaker 1: also comes off as somebody who really knows what the
18:31
Speaker 1: hell she's doing. As opposed to Maureen Comey, who I
18:35
Speaker 1: have zero faith in, and every time she appears on
18:38
Speaker 1: the screen, I just shake my head in grief. So,
18:42
Speaker 1: it's nice to see that Alison Moe here wrote this
18:45
Speaker 1: five-page letter. The letter comes a little less than a
18:49
Speaker 1: week after Maxwell's request for extraordinary secrecy surrounding the grand
18:55
Speaker 1: jury process. Maxwell's legal team, without objection from prosecutors, wanted
19:00
Speaker 1: to keep a proposed jury questionnaire and proposed joint questions
19:05
Speaker 1: under seal, citing the extensive pretrial publicity as justification. Well,
19:11
Speaker 1: that was a reasonable request, as we discussed at the time.
19:15
Speaker 1: With all of the publicity surrounding this case, I don't
19:19
Speaker 1: see a problem with having the jurors sequestered once the
19:22
Speaker 1: jury pool is selected and once it's all in motion.
19:27
Speaker 1: But this asking the jurors questions in private, you know,
19:31
Speaker 1: grilling them behind the scenes, I don't see the purpose
19:34
Speaker 1: in that. Isn't that what court is for? I mean, what,
19:37
Speaker 1: are you going to have them over for a barbecue
19:39
Speaker 1: and give them the old one-two? I don't even know
19:42
Speaker 1: what that.
19:43
Speaker 2: Means, honestly.
19:44
Speaker 1: So... Yeah, it shouldn't be done in private. It should
19:48
Speaker 1: be done the way it's always done. And then if
19:51
Speaker 1: it has to be sealed or whatever, that's fine. But
19:54
Speaker 1: why should she be given special privileges?
19:58
Speaker 2: Oh, it's the news. It's this. It's that. Man, shut up.
20:02
Speaker 2: Here's an idea.
20:02
Speaker 1: You don't want nobody to talk about your client. Make
20:05
Speaker 1: sure your client isn't hanging out with Jeffrey Epstein. Pretty simple,
20:08
Speaker 1: isn't it? A tsunami of reporting in every conceivable form. Newspapers, magazines, books, television, radio,
20:20
Speaker 1: video streaming services, podcasts. Hey, they're talking about us there, podcasts.
20:26
Speaker 1: Social media platforms has broadcast this case locally, nationally, and globally.
20:31
Speaker 2: Well, yeah, guess what?
20:32
Speaker 1: When your client is accused of, you know, trafficking human
20:36
Speaker 1: beings globally, it's going to be a global.
20:38
Speaker 2: Story, okay?
20:41
Speaker 1: To catch big rat, you need big cheese. And we
20:45
Speaker 1: all know that there isn't a bigger rat out there
20:47
Speaker 1: than Ghislaine Maxwell. It's crazy to me to think that
20:53
Speaker 1: a lawyer especially would have this kind of nonsense coming
20:59
Speaker 1: out of her mouth. Bobby Sternum.
21:02
Speaker 2: I mean, really?
21:03
Speaker 1: Is this your first rodeo? Remember, the public doesn't convict anybody, okay?
21:10
Speaker 1: The public's allowed to think whatever the public wants to think.
21:16
Speaker 1: We're not hampered by the rule of law. We're not
21:19
Speaker 1: hampered by courtroom rules. What the internet basically is is
21:24
Speaker 1: us around the water cooler at work shooting the shit.
21:27
Speaker 1: Point blank, period. And breaking news, I know this is
21:31
Speaker 1: going to come as a shock to some people out there.
21:34
Speaker 1: Twitter's not a real place either. Without a doubt, and
21:41
Speaker 1: without any credible evidentiary basis, Ms. Maxwell has been tried, convicted,
21:45
Speaker 1: and condemned in the court of public opinion without any
21:48
Speaker 1: credible evidentiary basis? It's a mountain high, lady. You need
21:53
Speaker 1: crampons and oxygen plus a couple of Sherpas to get
21:56
Speaker 1: to the top of it. We're talking Mount Everest level
22:00
Speaker 1: high here. No credible evidence. The only thing that's not
22:04
Speaker 1: credible is all of the gook and gunk that comes
22:07
Speaker 1: out of the mouths of you and the rest of
22:09
Speaker 1: the lawyers on this team.
22:11
Speaker 2: Holy cow.
22:13
Speaker 1: You guys might as well have Oscar David Marcus come
22:16
Speaker 1: out and give all of your statements. Oh, wait.
22:19
Speaker 2: He was already smacked down in court for his moronity.
22:23
Speaker 2: My bad.
22:25
Speaker 1: Maxwell's lawyers separately requested an individual sequestered questioning session and
22:31
Speaker 1: limited attorney-conducted questioning session. Sternum swiftly responded to the prosecution's opposition,
22:38
Speaker 1: floating the same argument for a change of procedure. The
22:41
Speaker 1: Monday filing produces the latest Google searches associated with the case.
22:46
Speaker 1: More than 4.7 million hits for Maxwell and 26.2 million
22:51
Speaker 1: for Jeffrey Epstein. Again, If you do not want your
22:55
Speaker 1: client to end up on page six of the post,
22:59
Speaker 1: then tell your client to stop trafficking young girls. I don't,
23:04
Speaker 1: you know, it's pretty simple. You know, when you wake
23:07
Speaker 1: up in the morning, straighten up your room. If it's
23:09
Speaker 1: a little messy, maybe hit the shower, wash your parts,
23:16
Speaker 1: brush your teeth, throw on some deodorant.
23:18
Speaker 2: Don't do meth.
23:19
Speaker 1: Go on about your day. That's how easy it is
23:23
Speaker 1: to be halfway productive in life.
23:26
Speaker 2: But no.
23:27
Speaker 1: With all the money and all the power, all the everything,
23:30
Speaker 1: she finds herself sitting in this jail cell crying about
23:33
Speaker 1: how many Google hits and Google searches her name pops
23:37
Speaker 1: up with. Well, breaking news, your client is a vile,
23:40
Speaker 1: bipedal serpent, okay? That's why all of those views are
23:44
Speaker 1: coming up. This is an extraordinary case involving sensitive issues,
23:51
Speaker 1: the filing states. We urge the court to exercise its
23:54
Speaker 1: supervisory powers and discretion and grant the defense request for
23:59
Speaker 1: individual sequestered voir dire and very limited counsel conducted voir dire.
24:05
Speaker 1: All that means is questioning. They like to use big
24:08
Speaker 1: words in the world of law, right? To make themselves
24:11
Speaker 1: sound smarter than everybody else. When in reality, we all
24:14
Speaker 1: know the scoop. You might know the law's But that's
24:17
Speaker 1: about as far as it goes, because I wouldn't call
24:19
Speaker 1: half of these people smart, okay? Crafty at what they do,
24:24
Speaker 1: but as far as life experience, look, let me be
24:27
Speaker 1: very clear with you folks, okay? I will not take
24:30
Speaker 1: advice from anyone who has not been poor in their life.
24:40
Speaker 1: For prosecutors, these requests were a bridge too far. None
24:44
Speaker 1: of the defendants' arguments warrant departing from the well-settled practice
24:48
Speaker 1: in this district court-led voir dire, prosecutors wrote on Monday.
24:53
Speaker 1: The court is well-equipped to thoroughly question prospective jurors and
24:57
Speaker 1: appropriately filter questions prepared by the parties. And again, they're
25:03
Speaker 1: not wrong about this. Alison Moe is not wrong about this.
25:07
Speaker 1: This is what the court does. The court is more
25:10
Speaker 1: than prepared to deal with all of this. This shouldn't
25:13
Speaker 1: have to be something that's done behind the shadows.
25:16
Speaker 2: Why?
25:17
Speaker 1: So another deal can be worked out? So another non-prosecution
25:21
Speaker 1: agreement can be cooked up behind the scenes? Oh, what?
25:28
Speaker 1: It's just amazing to me that they haven't learned their
25:30
Speaker 1: lesson yet here. There needs to be absolute transparency when
25:37
Speaker 1: it comes to this case and everything moving forward. The
25:43
Speaker 1: people do not trust you, government, okay? Are you guys listening,
25:48
Speaker 1: Department of Justice? Transparency is the proper path forward. During
25:56
Speaker 1: most jury trials in the Southern District of New York,
25:59
Speaker 1: the court routinely releases jury questionnaires and questions potential candidates
26:04
Speaker 1: in open court. Federal judges occasionally grant requests for anonymous
26:09
Speaker 1: juries in cases involving organized crime or terrorism, And in
26:13
Speaker 1: these cases, jurors are typically identified by a number and
26:18
Speaker 1: aspects of their questioning are released to the public. There
26:21
Speaker 1: has been no request for an anonymous jury to date
26:25
Speaker 1: in the Maxwell case. Well, I don't see why there
26:28
Speaker 1: would be. We're not talking about, you know, the mafiosos here, right?
26:33
Speaker 1: Maxwell and Epstein, they had a significant amount of power,
26:36
Speaker 1: but only against the most vulnerable amongst us. You notice
26:41
Speaker 1: they never flossed on anybody that had legit power, right?
26:45
Speaker 1: Only people that they had in their pocket. Only people
26:47
Speaker 1: they had their thumb over. These weren't actual, you know,
26:53
Speaker 1: people to fear when all was said and done. Not
26:57
Speaker 1: for prosecutors to fear them the way they did. Now,
27:01
Speaker 1: of course, the people who they were preying upon, that's
27:04
Speaker 1: a different story. I'm talking about the prosecutors who didn't
27:07
Speaker 1: do anything about it.
27:08
Speaker 2: Who let it all happen.
27:13
Speaker 1: Of course, under the typical practice in the district, prospective
27:16
Speaker 1: jurors would not be asked to describe their experiences with
27:20
Speaker 1: sexual assault or the details of pretrial publicity in front
27:24
Speaker 1: of the rest of the venue, prosecutors wrote. The questioning
27:28
Speaker 1: would happen at sidebar in an individual sequestered setting. But
27:32
Speaker 1: not every prospective juror may need additional questions on those topics,
27:36
Speaker 1: and other topics can safely be discussed in the group setting. Accordingly,
27:40
Speaker 1: it is more efficient to conduct questioning following the usual
27:44
Speaker 1: practice in this district. So basically, the prosecutors are just
27:49
Speaker 1: shutting down this request. They're not even leaving it open
27:52
Speaker 1: for a conversation at this point. No, we don't believe
27:55
Speaker 1: that this is going to work or it's unnecessary. So
27:59
Speaker 1: we're not going to acquiesce to this. Now you can
28:02
Speaker 1: expect Maxwell's team to come back with some lame ball-esque response,
28:08
Speaker 1: crying and complaining. and talking about how bad she has it,
28:12
Speaker 1: but I don't think it's going to sway Judge Nathan here.
28:18
Speaker 1: Maxwell's superseding indictment accuses her of sex trafficking and grooming
28:21
Speaker 1: minors as young as 14 years old for Epstein's predation
28:25
Speaker 1: from 1994 to 2004. Prosecutors also allege that she participated
28:31
Speaker 1: in the abuse. Having developed a rapport with a victim,
28:35
Speaker 1: Maxwell would try to normalize sexual abuse for a minor
28:38
Speaker 1: victim By, among other things, discussing sexual topics, undressing in
28:43
Speaker 1: front of the survivor, being present when a minor survivor
28:46
Speaker 1: was undressed, and or being present for sexual acts involving
28:51
Speaker 1: the minor survivor and Epstein, the superseding indictment states.
28:55
Speaker 2: I mean, wow, really?
28:58
Speaker 1: Not to rehash the past, but think about what she
29:01
Speaker 1: is being charged with here. And think about how much
29:05
Speaker 1: more she should be charged with. While all of this
29:07
Speaker 1: is good, and it's a good thing, where's the Mann Act?
29:11
Speaker 2: Where's RICO? R.
29:12
Speaker 1: Kelly gets that? Keith Ranieri gets that, but not Ghislaine Maxwell?
29:18
Speaker 1: Ask yourselves why, folks. Prosecutors claim the abuse occurred in
29:23
Speaker 1: Epstein's New York mansion, Palm Beach estate, and Santa Fe Ranch,
29:28
Speaker 1: as well as Maxwell's personal residence in London. Though the
29:31
Speaker 1: indictment focuses on girls labeled as minor victim, Epstein's estate
29:35
Speaker 1: recently paid out almost 125 million to roughly 150 people
29:40
Speaker 1: from a fund designed to compensate survivors. So, one thing
29:48
Speaker 1: I find funny about all of that, not even funny,
29:50
Speaker 1: but I find gross, honestly, is how many times has
29:53
Speaker 1: New Mexico been brought up? And never once has the
29:57
Speaker 1: state of New Mexico opened an investigation into this. Never
30:01
Speaker 1: once has Zorro Ranch been raided. So how is this
30:04
Speaker 1: going to be mentioned in this federal indictment and Zorro
30:07
Speaker 1: Ranch still.
30:08
Speaker 2: Not get raided?
30:10
Speaker 1: You know, it doesn't matter how long we talk about this.
30:14
Speaker 1: Each time we come upon these kinds of things, it
30:17
Speaker 1: gets me more aggravated than the last time. So let's
30:22
Speaker 1: hope that come June, Trial time? Ghislaine Maxwell gets the
30:28
Speaker 1: speedy trial she wants and then gets hit with the
30:32
Speaker 1: conviction hammer and goes to prison for the rest of
30:36
Speaker 1: her life. If you'd like to contact me, you can
30:40

30:57
Speaker 1: All of the links that go with this episode can
31:00
Speaker 1: be found in the description box. All right, folks, we'll
31:03
Speaker 1: be back tomorrow and we'll see what we see then.
31:06
Speaker 1: Hope you all have a great day. It looks like
31:09
Speaker 1: the Ghislaine Maxwell bail situation is about to come to
31:14
Speaker 1: a head. The federal government has responded to Ghislaine Maxwell's
31:22
Speaker 1: and her legal team and the assertions that they made
31:26
Speaker 1: about why Ghislaine Maxwell should get bail. Now, anyone with
31:33
Speaker 1: a working brain in their head should understand that someone
31:37
Speaker 1: like Ghislaine Maxwell doesn't deserve to be bailed out. Anybody
31:41
Speaker 1: with a working brain in their head should understand that
31:45
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell is not being treated in a bad fashion
31:50
Speaker 1: at That Ghislaine Maxwell is not being treated like she's
31:53
Speaker 1: in a 10th century dungeon. She's being treated like any
31:59
Speaker 1: other high-profile inmate would be treated. In fact, she's even
32:05
Speaker 1: been entrusted with speaking to other inmates who might be suicidal.
32:12
Speaker 2: So, I don't want to hear any of.
32:13
Speaker 1: This nonsense about her... living conditions and how it is
32:18
Speaker 1: just beyond the pale of abuse the way.
32:22
Speaker 2: She's being treated.
32:24
Speaker 1: No, she's being treated like anyone else would be. What
32:29
Speaker 1: you're really mad about is that she's not being given
32:32
Speaker 1: preferential treatment that's due to a so-called member of polite society.
32:38
Speaker 1: That's what you're really mad about, right? Let's just cut
32:43
Speaker 1: to the chase. Let's cut through the fat and let's
32:45
Speaker 1: just get right down to the brass tacks of it.
32:50
Speaker 1: They think Ghislaine Maxwell deserves to be treated better than
32:54
Speaker 1: someone from the inner city who is also in jail
33:00
Speaker 1: awaiting a trial. They think that Ghislaine Maxwell, if she
33:04
Speaker 1: isn't treated better than your average inmate, then she's being
33:09
Speaker 1: treated wrong and she's being treated badly. And this was
33:13
Speaker 1: the point that her legal team is trying to make
33:17
Speaker 1: to Judge Nathan. Thankfully, the prosecutors aren't having any of it.
33:24
Speaker 1: The prosecutors filed their own letter today, their own court
33:28
Speaker 1: filing with Judge Nathan in response to the ludicrous assertions
33:35
Speaker 1: made by Ghislaine Maxwell and her legal team. Our article
33:42
Speaker 1: tonight excuse me, our article this morning is from the abcnews.go.com
33:50
Speaker 1: and the headline, Federal Prosecutors Push to Keep Ghislaine Maxwell Jailed.
33:56
Speaker 1: Question Statements About Husband. So, the federal prosecutors, as we
34:03
Speaker 1: all know, are not interested in letting Ghislaine Maxwell walk.
34:09
Speaker 1: If it was up to them, she most certainly wouldn't
34:11
Speaker 1: be going anywhere with But the way the system works,
34:18
Speaker 1: they're allowed to petition the judge for bail. And then
34:20
Speaker 1: the judge has to make a decision one way or
34:22
Speaker 1: the other, depending on the facts presented to him or her.
34:27
Speaker 1: And to be honest with you here, folks, I don't
34:30
Speaker 1: see anything that Ghislaine Maxwell and her legal team has
34:34
Speaker 1: presented that they have not presented before. And the prosecution
34:42
Speaker 1: is saying the same exact thing. We've seen all of
34:46
Speaker 1: this before. These are repeats. We want some new programming.
34:52
Speaker 1: And I'm sure Judge Nathan feels the same way. I mean,
34:54
Speaker 1: I would guess anyway. Why are you going to waste
34:57
Speaker 1: my time and continue to send me briefs of the
34:59
Speaker 1: same exact stuff, basically, that I've already told you is
35:04
Speaker 1: not going to get you sprung? But Ghislaine Maxwell's legal
35:09
Speaker 1: team for the money that they're being paid. Like I
35:12
Speaker 1: said from the beginning, they're going to throw as much
35:14
Speaker 1: shit against the wall as possible, hoping some of it sticks.
35:19
Speaker 1: It's not about guilt or innocence with Ghislaine Maxwell. It's
35:23
Speaker 1: about technicalities. And it's quite obvious that that's what her
35:29
Speaker 1: legal team is gunning for here. It's no different than
35:32
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's legal team when he was in jeopardy and
35:36
Speaker 1: when he was facing criminal penalties. It is all about
35:41
Speaker 1: the loopholes. It is all about the technicalities. Guilt or
35:45
Speaker 1: innocent does not matter. When you're a so-called elite, when
35:49
Speaker 1: you have the sort of bankroll these people.
35:51
Speaker 2: Has, it doesn't matter.
35:54
Speaker 1: Because they're going to pay for not only a lawyer
35:58
Speaker 1: who can handle themselves in the courtroom, but they're going
36:00
Speaker 1: to pay for a lawyer who used to be a prosecutor,
36:03
Speaker 1: who has ties with To the prosecutor's office still. And
36:07
Speaker 1: that's exactly what Ghislaine Maxwell did. When she hired Everdell. Now.
36:14
Speaker 1: It seems to me. That this time around. That's not
36:18
Speaker 1: going to matter. I don't think Alice and Moe and company.
36:21
Speaker 1: Are interested in having any sort of pleasant.
36:24
Speaker 2: Heart to hearts.
36:25
Speaker 1: With Ghislaine Maxwell's legal team at this point. This seems
36:28
Speaker 1: to be a pretty contentious situation. And Alice and Moe.
36:32
Speaker 1: and the team in charge of prosecuting Ghislaine Maxwell have
36:36
Speaker 1: done a pretty good job, right? You know I'm very
36:39
Speaker 1: critical of all of this, of the way the government
36:42
Speaker 1: has prosecuted this case and the cases previously. But the
36:49
Speaker 1: current team, which is anchored by Alison Moe, has done
36:53
Speaker 1: a really good job. And I would really like to
36:56
Speaker 1: see them knock it from a C plus B position
37:01
Speaker 1: Into an A range of a grade... By announcing Rico charges...
37:05
Speaker 1: That would be fantastic... But the job they're doing here...
37:10
Speaker 1: As far as countering Ghislaine Maxwell... And her legal team...
37:14
Speaker 1: Point by point... Every single time Maxwell's team... Attempts to
37:18
Speaker 1: snatch the narrative... Has been a very very solid job...
37:23
Speaker 1: By Allison Moe and company... And hopefully they keep it up...
37:27
Speaker 1: Let's see what their letter... What they had to say.
37:30
Speaker 2: In their letter.
37:31
Speaker 1: to Judge Nathan in this article. The authors of this
37:35
Speaker 1: article are James Hill and Aaron Katursky. Now, James Hill,
37:43
Speaker 1: like I've said, has done just a fantastic job with
37:46
Speaker 1: covering this Epstein case. So I'm keeping to the pattern
37:55
Speaker 1: of following his articles and using this next article that
38:01
Speaker 1: we're going to read from James Hill in collaboration with
38:05
Speaker 1: the first one by James Hill. So that way we
38:08
Speaker 1: have the whole entire story, all of the context, and
38:12
Speaker 1: all of the meat that is possible on the bone.
38:18
Speaker 1: Federal prosecutors in New York are urging a judge to
38:21
Speaker 1: reject Ghislaine Maxwell's second attempt to be released on bail
38:25
Speaker 1: in advance of her trial. So, right off the bat,
38:28
Speaker 1: in the first paragraph of this article.
38:50
Speaker 1: You see that the federal prosecutors are already coming out
38:55
Speaker 1: with both guns blazing.
38:56
Speaker 2: A lack of candor? Check. Foreign ties? Checked.
39:02
Speaker 1: Demonstrate a willingness to live sophisticated and to live in hiding?
39:07
Speaker 1: That's a check as well. She was engaging in all
39:09
Speaker 1: of that.
39:10
Speaker 2: None of that's disputed.
39:11
Speaker 1: What they'll say is, Oh, well, she was trying to
39:14
Speaker 1: hide her communications and her movement from the media, from
39:18
Speaker 1: the media, like the media was camped out in front
39:21
Speaker 1: of her house. Besides The Sun, The Daily Mail, and
39:25
Speaker 1: a few other outlets, nobody was really charging hard after Ghislaine.
39:30
Speaker 2: Maxwell. Give me a break.
39:31
Speaker 1: People were writing articles, but they were piggyback articles, piggybacking
39:35
Speaker 1: off of the work that other people have already done.
39:38
Speaker 1: It wasn't investigative journalists hitting the streets looking for Ghislaine Maxwell.
39:43
Speaker 1: They couldn't have been bothered to do that. They were
39:45
Speaker 1: way too busy engaging in tribal warfare, folks. Maxwell, who
39:52
Speaker 1: is pleaded not guilty to enabling and, in some cases,
39:56
Speaker 1: participating in deceased sex offender, pedophile, Jeffrey Epstein's alleged sexual
40:02
Speaker 1: abuse of three minors in the mid-1990s, argued again for
40:07
Speaker 1: release on bail in a motion earlier this month. And again, remember,
40:13
Speaker 1: just because they filed this letter with the court doesn't
40:16
Speaker 1: even mean that Judge Nathan is going to grant a hearing.
40:20
Speaker 1: She might just look at all of this, the written requests,
40:24
Speaker 1: and say, no, I'm not even going to give this
40:28
Speaker 1: a second thought. We're not even going to bother with this.
40:32
Speaker 1: But we don't know if that's the action she's going
40:34
Speaker 1: to take, right? So as of now, as it stands,
40:39
Speaker 1: they have asked, Ghislaine Maxwell's lawyers, that is, have asked
40:42
Speaker 1: for a trial, a hearing date of December 21st. Prosecutors
40:47
Speaker 1: have said if that's what Judge Nathan is okay with,
40:51
Speaker 1: then we're okay with it as well. But I'm guessing
40:54
Speaker 1: that the prosecutors hope that the wording of their letter
40:58
Speaker 1: is strong enough to sway Judge Nathan from wasting everybody's
41:01
Speaker 1: time again with this bail situation. I mean, how many
41:05
Speaker 1: times is Ghislaine Maxwell going to get a hearing for bail?
41:10
Speaker 1: Is everybody petitioning the judge this often? Get this many
41:14
Speaker 1: shots for bail? For some reason, I highly doubt it.
41:20
Speaker 1: Maxwell's submission included letters from her previously undisclosed husband and
41:26
Speaker 1: more than a dozen relatives and friends attesting to her
41:30
Speaker 1: forthright character and their confidence she would not flee.
41:34
Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, this is somebody who is obviously.
41:37
Speaker 1: Has just an abundance of character, a moral compass that
41:43
Speaker 1: does not ever beat the wrong way and somebody who
41:48
Speaker 1: would never engage in anything like this according to her
41:53
Speaker 1: relatives and friends I mean I'm pretty sure you could
41:57
Speaker 1: get a dozen relatives and friends of anybody to write
42:00
Speaker 1: a glowing account of them hell look at what people
42:03
Speaker 1: wrote about Jeffrey Epstein Miss Maxwell would never destroy those
42:11
Speaker 1: closest to her by fleeing after they have risked so
42:14
Speaker 1: much to support her Maxwell's attorneys wrote in the renewed
42:18
Speaker 1: motion for bail, oh, please give me a break. And furthermore,
42:21
Speaker 1: I don't care about the destruction as far as reputationally
42:27
Speaker 1: that the people around Ghislaine Maxwell get involved with here.
42:34
Speaker 1: If you're going to co-sign for somebody like Maxwell, you're
42:37
Speaker 1: going to have to get ready for what comes next.
42:40
Speaker 1: You're going to have to get ready for scrutiny. You're
42:44
Speaker 1: going to have to get ready for the fallout. Now,
42:48
Speaker 1: that doesn't mean anyone should harass these people. I don't
42:51
Speaker 1: think anyone should do that. That's really not my, uh,
42:54
Speaker 1: not my ski low anyway. I don't, I don't engage
42:57
Speaker 1: in all of that nonsense on social media, like all
42:59
Speaker 1: of you know. And if you're out there harassing people
43:02
Speaker 1: on social media, come on, get a grip. Just don't
43:05
Speaker 1: do it. It's not, it's not worth your time, right?
43:08
Speaker 1: Especially these idiots.
43:10
Speaker 2: The karma train is coming.
43:12
Speaker 1: For these people no matter what, folks. Believe that shit.
43:16
Speaker 1: It's already left the station. It's lumbering down the tracks.
43:20
Speaker 1: It's coming through the tunnel. And the light that you see,
43:23
Speaker 1: that little speck at the very far end of the tunnel,
43:27
Speaker 1: that is the karma train that is coming down the
43:29
Speaker 1: tracks to take care of these people. And quickly following
43:33
Speaker 1: the karma train is the federal prison bus. So these
43:41
Speaker 1: people are all going to get taken. They're all going
43:45
Speaker 1: to be aired out and they're all going to face
43:49
Speaker 1: a lot of scrutiny.
43:51
Speaker 2: Right.
43:52
Speaker 1: And if you co-sign for Ghislaine Maxwell, then it's game on.
43:55
Speaker 1: You should face that scrutiny. So all of these people
44:02
Speaker 1: who are talking about, oh.
44:04
Speaker 2: Well, we're worried about people threatening. I don't, you know, look.
44:09
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell and the people who are coming out to
44:12
Speaker 1: defend her have every right to do that.
44:16
Speaker 2: This is America.
44:17
Speaker 1: That's how this works. That is how this works. But
44:21
Speaker 1: at the same time, don't try and get people to
44:26
Speaker 1: quit talking about the situation and by throwing out ludicrous
44:30
Speaker 1: statements such as.
44:31
Speaker 2: Oh, Ghislaine's security is in.
44:34
Speaker 1: Jeopardy, like they were saying leading up to her arrest.
44:37
Speaker 1: I call that bullshit from the very beginning. In jeopardy
44:40
Speaker 1: from who? Nobody in the media even cared. From some weird,
44:44
Speaker 1: crazy people on the internet? Give me a break. Everybody
44:47
Speaker 1: deals with psychopaths on the internet. Anybody who does anything,
44:51
Speaker 1: even partly in the public view, is going to come
44:54
Speaker 1: across a psychopath or two.
44:57
Speaker 2: I've had my share, believe it. You ignore them and
45:00
Speaker 2: move on, right?
45:03
Speaker 1: But their strategy is... What they want to do is
45:06
Speaker 1: try and make it out... So nobody talks about the
45:08
Speaker 1: case even. They want it to be shrouded in mystery...
45:11
Speaker 1: Like it always has been. Because that's the best terrain
45:15
Speaker 1: for them to operate. When the public doesn't have any
45:18
Speaker 1: of the information... When the public is only being gaslit...
45:23
Speaker 1: That is the perfect time for the so-called elite... To
45:26
Speaker 1: control the narrative. Now that that narrative has been snatched
45:29
Speaker 1: from them... Now that the shoe is on the other foot...
45:33
Speaker 1: and the predator has become the prey? They don't know
45:36
Speaker 1: what to do, folks. But prosecutors cast Maxwell's pitch for
45:41
Speaker 1: a $ 28 million bail package as a rehash of arguments
45:46
Speaker 1: previously rejected by the court at a detention hearing in July,
45:50
Speaker 1: two weeks after Maxwell's arrest. And that is the position
45:55
Speaker 1: I have taken with this as well. This is just
45:58
Speaker 1: a retread, right? We're doing a rehashing of of everything
46:01
Speaker 1: that they presented already. Nobody has the time for it.
46:05
Speaker 1: Nobody wants to deal with it. But yet Ghislaine Maxwell's
46:09
Speaker 1: high profile lawyers have to make themselves seem useful, right?
46:14
Speaker 1: So they're going to go hard and they're going to
46:15
Speaker 1: try and use every little bit of leverage they have.
46:19
Speaker 2: COVID, we'll use it.
46:20
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell's supposedly draconian conditions in jail, we're using that too. Oh,
46:27
Speaker 1: A couple of unhinged maniacs on the internet talk trash.
46:31
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, let's use that too. We're going to pile
46:33
Speaker 1: that on in there as well and say there's a
46:35
Speaker 1: security threat. Whatever they can possibly use, they will use.
46:40
Speaker 1: You know what they will not say? And you know
46:41
Speaker 1: what they're not going to try and say? That she's innocent.
46:46
Speaker 1: Because they know at this point they can't even prove that, right?
46:51
Speaker 2: They know that the.
46:52
Speaker 1: Evidence is stacked a mile high against them. And all
46:56
Speaker 1: they have to go on are technicalities and loopholes and
47:01
Speaker 1: backroom deals and wrangling. Unfortunately for them, that's not going
47:06
Speaker 1: to work this time. And Ghislaine Maxwell... The only way
47:10
Speaker 1: she's going to reduce her prison sentence from 175,000 years
47:15
Speaker 1: is to start rolling over on other people involved. And
47:19
Speaker 1: then she might get a few years knocked off, but
47:22
Speaker 1: I don't see how, if RICO is implemented, that all
47:25
Speaker 1: of these people don't see themselves in prison for 120
47:28
Speaker 1: years at least like Keith Raniere. The offense conduct outlined
47:37
Speaker 1: in the indictment remains incredibly serious. The evidence against the
47:42
Speaker 1: defendant remains strong and the defendant continues to have extensive
47:46
Speaker 1: financial resources and foreign ties, as well as the demonstrated
47:51
Speaker 1: ability to live in hiding for the long term, wrote prosecutors.
47:56
Speaker 1: And who's to say that Ghislaine Maxwell couldn't disappear even
47:59
Speaker 1: in America? What's to say that she even has to leave?
48:03
Speaker 1: This is a very large country. And we know that
48:06
Speaker 1: she is adept at hiding. We know that she's adept
48:09
Speaker 1: at skulking around in the dark and avoiding the authorities.
48:13
Speaker 1: So why would anyone let her out of their sight
48:16
Speaker 1: at this point? Furthermore, if we're all so worried about
48:20
Speaker 1: her state of health and about her well-being, what better
48:24
Speaker 1: place than locked away in solitary confinement with people checking
48:29
Speaker 1: on her every 15 minutes or so?
48:31
Speaker 2: Seems pretty secure to me.
48:37
Speaker 1: Although the defendant now claims her marriage would keep her
48:40
Speaker 1: in the United States, her motion does not address the
48:44
Speaker 1: plainly inconsistent statements she made to pretrial services at the
48:49
Speaker 1: time of her arrest when, as documented in the pretrial
48:53
Speaker 1: services report, the defendant said she was in the process
48:57
Speaker 1: of divorcing her husband.
48:59
Speaker 2: Acting U.S.
49:00
Speaker 1: Attorney Audrey Strauss wrote, and that's all about protecting her money, right?
49:05
Speaker 1: She moved the money into Borgerson's name and then she'd say, well,
49:09
Speaker 1: we're getting, we're divorced.
49:11
Speaker 2: I don't, that's not my money.
49:12
Speaker 1: And they'd still be married on the hush, but she'd
49:15
Speaker 1: try and afford herself some protections to that dough. And
49:19
Speaker 1: it just shows you how smarmy she is. How scummy
49:22
Speaker 1: she is. And how not anchored in America she is.
49:26
Speaker 1: She doesn't want to ruin her family.
49:29
Speaker 2: Give me a break.
49:30
Speaker 1: This bipedal serpent doesn't have the kind of heart that
49:33
Speaker 1: we do even. I don't even think she functions as
49:36
Speaker 1: a human. She's such a sociopath. that love is such
49:40
Speaker 1: a foreign idea to somebody like Ghislaine Maxwell, in my opinion,
49:44
Speaker 1: that you can't even quantify it. On this point, it
49:48
Speaker 1: bears noting that the defendant's motion asks that she be
49:52
Speaker 1: permitted to live with, name redacted if granted, Belle, not
49:56
Speaker 1: her spouse, Strauss added.
49:58
Speaker 2: Well, that's weird.
50:00
Speaker 1: Her loving husband and her stepchildren that miss her oh
50:04
Speaker 1: so much, but yet she's not going to go and live?
50:08
Speaker 1: With Scott Borgerson. She's going to live with. Whoever this
50:11
Speaker 1: redacted name is. Why in the hell is that. Why
50:15
Speaker 1: in the hell would that occur. Why would she not
50:18
Speaker 1: go and live. With this loving husband.
50:21
Speaker 2: Who put up 22 and a half million. To get
50:23
Speaker 2: her out.
50:24
Speaker 1: He misses her so much. That she's going to live.
50:28
Speaker 1: With somebody else. None of this shit makes sense. It all.
50:34
Speaker 2: Fails the sniff test. Miserably.
50:40
Speaker 1: Maxwell's spouse, Scott Borgerson, whose name has been redacted from
50:44
Speaker 1: the public version of the court filings, told the court
50:48
Speaker 1: in a letter earlier this month that the person described
50:51
Speaker 1: in the federal government's criminal charges is not the person
50:54
Speaker 1: we know. He said he did not come forward as
50:58
Speaker 1: a cosigner to Maxwell's initial bail application because they were
51:02
Speaker 1: trying to protect their family from ferocious media aggression. My friend,
51:09
Speaker 1: If you're going to marry John Wayne Gacy, then it's
51:16
Speaker 1: not the media's fault if there's a frenzy when he's
51:19
Speaker 1: found out and you're put on blast as his husband
51:22
Speaker 1: or wife. That's how these things work. I have never
51:31
Speaker 1: witnessed anything close to inappropriate with Ghislaine. Quite to the contrary.
51:36
Speaker 1: The Ghislaine I know is a wonderful and loving person,
51:39
Speaker 1: he wrote in a letter accompanying the motion for bail. Aw,
51:43
Speaker 1: isn't that cute? Ghislaine is just such a good person.
51:46
Speaker 1: According to her redacted husband, Scott Borgerson, she is such
51:50
Speaker 1: a great person. I am sure that all of the
51:53
Speaker 1: girls that were abused at her and Jeffrey Epstein's hands,
51:57
Speaker 1: I'm sure they all feel the same exact way. I'm
51:59
Speaker 1: sure that they are gushing and they're over the moon
52:02
Speaker 1: right now that Ghislaine is trying to get bailed out.
52:07
Speaker 1: I mean, what sort of different universe do these people
52:13
Speaker 1: live in where anyone thinks that these stupid letters are
52:17
Speaker 1: going to work? They didn't work for Jeffrey Epstein and
52:20
Speaker 1: they should not work for his co-conspirating bipedal serpent Ghislaine
52:25
Speaker 1: Maxwell either. A person familiar with Maxwell's thinking said that
52:33
Speaker 1: divorce was an option she had considered immediately after after
52:37
Speaker 1: her arrest in order to protect the privacy of her
52:39
Speaker 1: husband and family, but that it was not pursued. Oh yeah,
52:44
Speaker 1: I'm sure that it was all about privacy and had
52:46
Speaker 1: nothing to do with securing your money.
52:50
Speaker 2: Remember, money and.
52:52
Speaker 1: Information was the manna that Ghislaine Maxwell lived on for decades.
52:59
Speaker 1: And if you think that this is all the money
53:01
Speaker 1: that this lady has, then I'm telling you I have
53:04
Speaker 1: some fantastic beachfront property for you right outside of Pahrump, Nevada.
53:12
Speaker 1: Prosecutors noted in their response to the new bail application
53:16
Speaker 1: that all three of the alleged survivors listed in the
53:19
Speaker 1: indictment continue to oppose her release. The government included in
53:23
Speaker 1: their filing a letter to the judge from Annie Farmer, 41,
53:27
Speaker 1: who has publicly identified herself as one of the three
53:32
Speaker 1: alleged survivors. Farmer's letter expresses her doubts that Maxwell would
53:37
Speaker 1: show up for trial if she's granted release on bail.
53:41
Speaker 1: I think that this should be enough, right? Annie's letter
53:45
Speaker 1: should be enough for the judge. If I was the judge,
53:47
Speaker 1: it would be enough. Look, this lady is saying that
53:50
Speaker 1: when she was a little girl, you abused her. Now
53:54
Speaker 1: you're asking me to grant you bail while this little
53:58
Speaker 1: girl who grew up into this fantastic, brave woman Is
54:02
Speaker 1: asking me to keep you contained in your cell? It'd
54:07
Speaker 1: be a no-brainer for me. Especially if I had already
54:10
Speaker 1: denied Bell once and nothing new had popped up. You
54:14
Speaker 1: add the new letter here that we're going to dig
54:15
Speaker 1: into a little bit and Annie's original talk in front
54:21
Speaker 1: of the court and in front of the judge. And
54:24
Speaker 1: I don't know how any judge could grant Bell for
54:27
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell. This is from Annie's letter. She has lived
54:33
Speaker 1: a life of privilege, abusing her position of power to
54:36
Speaker 1: live beyond the rules. Fleeing the country in order to
54:39
Speaker 1: escape once more would fit with her long history of
54:43
Speaker 1: antisocial behavior, Farmer wrote. And again, if anyone would know
54:49
Speaker 1: how Ghislaine Maxwell functions, it's Annie.
54:52
Speaker 2: She was abused by her.
54:53
Speaker 1: She knows how Ghislaine Maxwell groomed her and procured her
54:57
Speaker 1: and prepared her to be abused. And if anyone should
55:02
Speaker 1: have some skin in the game, if anyone should move
55:07
Speaker 1: the needle as far as what the judge or the
55:10
Speaker 1: state does, it should be these three girls in this
55:13
Speaker 1: indictment and anchored by Annie and her public statement here.
55:21
Speaker 1: Maxwell has repeatedly demonstrated that her primary concern is her
55:25
Speaker 1: own welfare and that she is willing to harm others
55:28
Speaker 1: if it benefits her, Farmer continued. she is quite capable
55:32
Speaker 1: of doing so once more. She will not hesitate to
55:35
Speaker 1: leave the country, irrespective of whether others will be on
55:38
Speaker 1: the hook financially for her actions, because she lacks empathy
55:43
Speaker 1: and therefore simply does not care about hurting others. I
55:47
Speaker 1: agree 100% with that, and furthermore, the $ 22. 5 million that
55:50
Speaker 1: Borgerson quote-unquote raised is Maxwell's money in my opinion anyway.
55:56
Speaker 1: I believe that it was Maxwell's money, And she is
55:59
Speaker 1: saying that obviously it's her quote-unquote husband's money. So if
56:03
Speaker 1: she did bounce, she'd be bouncing with her own dough,
56:06
Speaker 1: not Borgerson's. So screw the nonsense, forget the BS, and
56:11
Speaker 1: Annie is 100% right in my opinion. Ghislaine Maxwell would
56:15
Speaker 1: be a no-show. At Maxwell's initial detention hearing in July,
56:20
Speaker 1: prosecutors conceded that they were not alleging Maxwell presented a
56:24
Speaker 1: danger to society if released on bail, but argued that
56:28
Speaker 1: her finances were opaque and that she was the very definition.
56:32
Speaker 2: Of a flight risk.
56:34
Speaker 1: And while I don't know how much I agree with that, like,
56:39
Speaker 1: I don't know if I would call Ghislaine Maxwell a, um...
56:45
Speaker 1: a danger to society at this point, meaning I don't
56:48
Speaker 1: think she's going to be engaging in abusing anybody else
56:51
Speaker 1: at this point, but she's a danger if she's out
56:55
Speaker 1: of prison, because who knows with her contacts, what sort
56:58
Speaker 1: of nonsense she could get up to with people threatening
57:00
Speaker 1: these survivors and stuff. We've seen it before. It's not
57:03
Speaker 1: out of the realm of possibility. We've heard that Maxwell
57:06
Speaker 1: uses threats. So again, she might not be a threat
57:11
Speaker 1: to society at large, but to the survivors.
57:15
Speaker 1: It's a very different story, in my opinion. More than
57:18
Speaker 1: $ 22 million of the assets Maxwell has pledged to secure
57:21
Speaker 1: the proposed bond would come from the combined resources of
57:25
Speaker 1: Maxwell and her husband, with the remainder to be posted
57:29
Speaker 1: by a handful of close family and friends, according to
57:32
Speaker 1: Maxwell's court filing earlier this month. And there's that little nugget, right?
57:38
Speaker 1: A combined resources of Maxwell. So again, this is Maxwell's money.
57:43
Speaker 1: They're saying it's Borgerson's in my opinion, but it's really
57:46
Speaker 1: Maxwell who would be on the line for this dough anyway.
57:48
Speaker 1: So again, why would she not flee? Maxwell's lawyers noted
57:54
Speaker 1: in their motion for bail that she and her husband
57:57
Speaker 1: have filed joint federal tax returns since 2016. Prosecutors did
58:02
Speaker 1: not challenge the accuracy of the couple's tax filings, but
58:06
Speaker 1: argued in their opposition that most of the couple's reported
58:10
Speaker 1: assets were Maxwell's to begin with, and that she had
58:13
Speaker 1: slowly funneled the majority of her wealth to trusts and
58:16
Speaker 1: into her husband's name over the last five years. Of course,
58:21
Speaker 1: and tax returns are all fine and well, but you're
58:25
Speaker 1: not claiming your shadow money anyway. You're not claiming dark money.
58:28
Speaker 1: You're not claiming the money that you have stashed. So
58:31
Speaker 1: tax returns are a good baseline, but they don't tell
58:34
Speaker 1: the whole story. And Maxwell was most assuredly funneling money
58:38
Speaker 1: into Borgerson's name. She knew that the writing was on
58:41
Speaker 1: the wall, that they weren't going to get away with
58:43
Speaker 1: this forever. And then once Epstein got arrested, forget it.
58:46
Speaker 1: Everything went into overdrive. As a result, the government contends,
58:52
Speaker 1: if Maxwell were to flee, she would largely be sacrificing
58:56
Speaker 1: her own money and assets. This is a shrewd strategy
58:59
Speaker 1: by the prosecutors, and it's the same strategy that I
59:03
Speaker 1: would have pursued. I would have made the point and
59:12
Speaker 1: made it forcefully that this money is Ghislaine Maxwell's to
59:15
Speaker 1: begin with so why would we think that her fleeing
59:19
Speaker 1: would have this huge negative impact on all of these
59:23
Speaker 1: other people give me a break already the government The
59:31
Speaker 1: government also alleged that Maxwell's proposed bail package would still
59:35
Speaker 1: leave her with substantial resources to flee the country. Maxwell's
59:39
Speaker 1: proposal does not change the government's position that the defendant
59:43
Speaker 1: has considerable financial resources and could live a comfortable life
59:47
Speaker 1: as a fugitive, prosecutors wrote. And that, again, the government
59:52
Speaker 1: knows more than they're letting on here. Do you really
59:54
Speaker 1: think that the government doesn't know that these people have
59:57
Speaker 1: offshore accounts and then they're not digging through them or
1:00:00
Speaker 1: trying to get access to them? Do you think that
1:00:03
Speaker 1: Alison Moe and Audrey Strauss are not in contact with
1:00:07
Speaker 1: Denise George?
1:00:09
Speaker 2: They are.
1:00:11
Speaker 1: So I would think, and obviously this is speculation on
1:00:16
Speaker 1: my part, that the government has an ace up its
1:00:19
Speaker 1: sleeve still. And that ace up its sleeve is a
1:00:22
Speaker 1: superseded indictment that includes Rico. Maxwell, 58, is the Oxford-educated
1:00:30
Speaker 1: daughter of Robert Maxwell, the larger-than-life publishing baron whose rags-to-riches
1:00:36
Speaker 1: story captivated England. She lived an extravagant life among the
1:00:41
Speaker 1: British so-called elite until her father's business empire collapsed in
1:00:45
Speaker 1: the wake of his death in 1991. She decamped to
1:00:49
Speaker 1: New York looking for a fresh start and was soon
1:00:52
Speaker 1: seen in the company of the mysterious multi-millionaire Epstein.
1:00:57
Speaker 2: Pedophile.
1:00:58
Speaker 1: And it wasn't mysterious, right? My opinion is that this
1:01:02
Speaker 1: was all set into motion by Robert Maxwell. He was
1:01:07
Speaker 1: the one who set up Epstein with his daughter and
1:01:12
Speaker 1: it was to run this honey trap operation. Maxwell was
1:01:18
Speaker 1: an asset. Epstein was an asset. And Papa Maxwell most
1:01:24
Speaker 1: assuredly was an asset for multiple intelligence organizations. So it
1:01:31
Speaker 1: wasn't the story they wanted. They told at first, right?
1:01:33
Speaker 2: Oh, it was the money. Maxwell was destitute.
1:01:36
Speaker 1: I don't buy any of that. This was all set
1:01:38
Speaker 1: into motion. And this was a plot that was kicked
1:01:42
Speaker 1: into play with a lot of premeditation. Following Epstein's death
1:01:48
Speaker 1: in August 2019, prosecutors vowed to hold accountable anyone who
1:01:53
Speaker 1: allegedly conspired with him or participated in his alleged child
1:01:57
Speaker 1: sex trafficking crimes. Their attention quickly turned to Maxwell, who
1:02:02
Speaker 1: had been previously accused in civil lawsuits of facilitating Epstein's
1:02:07
Speaker 1: abuse of young women and girls, allegations that she has
1:02:11
Speaker 1: long denied. She was arrested on July 2nd in a
1:02:14
Speaker 1: surprise early morning raid at a secluded 156-acre property in
1:02:22
Speaker 1: New Hampshire that had been purchased by a shell company,
1:02:25
Speaker 1: an all-cash transaction, according to court records and public documents.
1:02:30
Speaker 1: Those shell companies we talk about in the Finson files
1:02:33
Speaker 1: sure are looming large in this case, aren't they? That
1:02:39
Speaker 1: has always been a thread that was big time, a
1:02:42
Speaker 1: thread that was hugely important. And I'm so grateful for
1:02:46
Speaker 1: the Finson files to give us the ability to go
1:02:51
Speaker 1: down that rabbit hole and tie it in with our
1:02:53
Speaker 1: story because it's such a huge deal. Maxwell's lawyers have
1:03:00
Speaker 1: argued that she went into seclusion after Epstein's death in
1:03:03
Speaker 1: order to avoid media scrutiny on her and her family
1:03:07
Speaker 1: rather than to avoid arrest. But prosecutors argued in their
1:03:11
Speaker 1: opposition that whatever the reason, her time in isolation makes
1:03:15
Speaker 1: clear that even to the extent she has loved ones
1:03:18
Speaker 1: and property in this country, she has proven her willingness
1:03:21
Speaker 1: to cut herself off entirely from them and her ability
1:03:25
Speaker 1: to live in hiding. And that's a great point by
1:03:30
Speaker 1: the prosecutors as well, right? Even if she says she
1:03:32
Speaker 1: was hiding from the media, she was still proving that
1:03:36
Speaker 1: she could elude people, that she knew how to live
1:03:38
Speaker 1: on the run. So that is a good strategy by
1:03:43
Speaker 1: the prosecution here. I think that is something that will
1:03:45
Speaker 1: win with the judge. If granted bail under her proposed conditions,
1:03:51
Speaker 1: Maxwell would be restricted to a New York residence with
1:03:54
Speaker 1: round-the-clock security and GPS monitoring. She would also irrevocably waive
1:04:00
Speaker 1: her rights to contest extradition from France or England, the
1:04:03
Speaker 1: two countries other than the U.S. where Maxwell holds citizenship. Sorry,
1:04:08
Speaker 1: that is not good enough for me. What if she
1:04:11
Speaker 1: goes and hides underground in France with friends, people hiding
1:04:15
Speaker 1: her and protecting her there, or England, or elsewhere? Nope,
1:04:19
Speaker 1: it's too much of a risk in my opinion. Prosecutors
1:04:24
Speaker 1: countered that GPS monitoring would offer little value for a
1:04:27
Speaker 1: defendant who poses such a significant flight risk and because
1:04:31
Speaker 1: it does nothing to prevent the defendant's flight once it
1:04:35
Speaker 1: has been removed. At best, home confinement and electronic monitoring
1:04:40
Speaker 1: would reduce a defendant's head start after cutting the bracelet.
1:04:44
Speaker 1: And they contended that her proposed waivers to contest extradition
1:04:48
Speaker 1: would likely be unenforceable and effectively meaningless if.
1:04:52
Speaker 2: She were to flee.
1:04:53
Speaker 1: For sure, she doesn't control what the French courts do.
1:04:57
Speaker 1: She has no control over that. If the French didn't
1:05:00
Speaker 1: want to set a precedent of sending her to America,
1:05:03
Speaker 1: then they damn well would not do it. Point blank, period,
1:05:06
Speaker 1: no matter what rights Maxwell supposedly waives. Maxwell's lawyers will
1:05:13
Speaker 1: have one more opportunity to counter the prosecution's argument for
1:05:17
Speaker 1: her continued detention. They've asked U.S. District Judge Allison Nathan
1:05:21
Speaker 1: to schedule a hearing next week on her renewed bail package.
1:05:26
Speaker 1: Nathan is not yet committed to a hearing and may
1:05:28
Speaker 1: issue her decision solely on the written arguments.
1:05:35
Speaker 2: So there you have it, folks.
1:05:37
Speaker 1: The prosecution has clapped back. They have responded to the
1:05:41
Speaker 1: assertions of Ghislaine Maxwell and her legal team, and they
1:05:45
Speaker 1: have done so forcefully. My opinion is Ghislaine Maxwell should
1:05:51
Speaker 1: not get bail. She should stay in there eating bologna sandwiches,
1:05:59
Speaker 1: and enjoying the accommodations provided to her by the federal
1:06:03
Speaker 1: government until her trial date. If you'd like to contact me,
