- 0:00In the first year of his reign, I Daniel understood
- 0:04by the books the number of the years specified
- 0:08by the word of the Lord through Jeremiah the prophet, that he
- 0:12would accomplish 70 years in the desolations of
- 0:16Jerusalem. Then I set
- 0:20my face toward the Lord God to make requests by prayer and supplications
- 0:25with fasting sackcloth, and ashes.
- 0:29What was it that Daniel understood?
- 0:33What was the flash of insight, the light bulb that
- 0:37went off, that drove him to prayer
- 0:40and repentance on behalf of his nation and his people?
- 0:45What was it in Jeremiah that he learned?
- 0:48In this chapter, chapter 9 of Daniel, it is a huge
- 0:52key to unlock many other prophecies throughout the Bible concerning
- 0:57the end of days. What did Daniel understand?
- 1:01Listen in as we unpack this today. Welcome to
- 1:05the One Year Audio Bible Podcast. Today is October
- 1:0814th. Now let's continue our journey reading through the entire
- 1:12Bible in one year. This week we are reading from the Israel Bible
- 1:16for the Hebrew Scriptures and from the King James for the New
- 1:20Testament. Numbers 29:17-25.
- 1:29Second day: 12 bulls of the herd, 2 rams,
- 1:3314 yearling lambs without blemish, the meal offerings
- 1:36and libations for the bulls, rams, and lambs in the
- 1:40quantities prescribed, and 1 goat for a sin offering in addition
- 1:44to the regular burnt offering, its meal offering, and libations.
- 1:483rd day: 11 bulls, 2 rams,
- 1:5114 yearling lambs without blemish. The meal offerings
- 1:55and libations for the bulls, rams, and lambs in the quantities
- 1:59prescribed. And 1 goat for a sin offering in addition to
- 2:03the regular burnt offering, its meal offering and libation.
- 2:084th day: 10 bulls, 2 rams, 14 yearling lambs
- 2:12without blemish. The meal offerings and libations for
- 2:16the bulls, rams, and lambs in the quantities prescribed,
- 2:19and one goat for a sin offering in addition to the regular burnt
- 2:23offering, its meal offering and libation.
- 2:31Jeremiah 23:21-25,
- 2:3738. I did not send those nevi'im, but they rushed
- 2:41in. I did not speak to them, Yet they prophesied. If they
- 2:45have stood in My counsel, let them announce My words to My people and make
- 2:49them turn back from their evil ways and wicked acts. Am I only
- 2:53a Hashem near at hand, says Hashem, and not
- 2:57a Hashem far away? If a man enters a hiding
- 3:00place, do I not see him, says Hashem? For I fill
- 3:04both heaven and earth, declares Hashem. I have heard
- 3:08what the nevi'im say who prophesy falsely in My name.
- 3:12I had a dream, I had a dream. How long will there be in
- 3:16the minds of the nevi'im who prophesy falsehood, the nevi'im
- 3:20of their own deceitful minds, the plan to make people forget my name
- 3:24by means of the dreams which they tell each other,
- 3:28just as their fathers forgot my name because of Baal?
- 3:34Let the navi who has a dream tell the dream, and let him who has
- 3:38received my word report my word faithfully, How can straw
- 3:42be compared to grain? says Hashem. Behold,
- 3:46My Word is like fire, declares Hashem,
- 3:50and like a hammer that shatters rock.
- 3:53Assuredly, I am going to deal with the Nevi'im, declares Hashem,
- 3:58who steal My Words from one another.
- 4:02I am going to deal with the Nevi'im, declares Hashem, who wag
- 4:06their tongues and make oracular, Utterances.
- 4:10I am going to deal with those who prophesy lying dreams,
- 4:13declares Hashem, who relate them to lead My people astray
- 4:17with their reckless lies, when I did not send them or command them.
- 4:22They do this people no good, declares Hashem.
- 4:26And when this people, or a navi or a kohen, asks you,
- 4:30What is the burden of Hashem? You shall answer them, What is the burden?
- 4:34I will cast you off, declares Hashem. As for the Navi
- 4:38or Kohen or layman who shall say, the burden of Hashem,
- 4:41I will punish that person and his house.
- 4:46Thus you shall speak to each other, every one to his fellow,
- 4:50what has Hashem answered? Or, what has Hashem spoken?
- 4:53But do not mention the burden of Hashem anymore.
- 4:57Does a man regard his own words as a burden,
- 5:00that you pervert the words of the living Hashem, the LORD of Hosts,
- 5:04our God? Thus you shall speak to the Navi, What did Hashem
- 5:08answer you? Or, What did Hashem speak?
- 5:12But if you say, The burden of Hashem, assuredly, thus said Hashem,
- 5:16Because you said this thing, The burden of Hashem,
- 5:19whereas I sent word to you not to say,
- 5:22The burden of Hashem, I will utterly forget you,
- 5:26and I will cast you away from My presence,
- 5:28together with the city that I gave to you and your fathers.
- 5:33And I will lay upon you a disgrace for all time,
- 5:36shame for all time, which shall never be forgotten.
- 5:43Hashem showed me 2 baskets of figs placed in front of the Temple of Hashem.
- 5:47This was after King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon had exiled King Jehoiachin
- 5:52son of Jehoiachin of Judah and the officials of Judah
- 5:56and the craftsmen and smiths from Jerusalem and had brought
- 6:00them to Babylon. One basket contained very good
- 6:04figs, like first-ripened figs, and the other basket
- 6:08contained very bad figs, so bad that they could not
- 6:12be eaten. And HaShem
- 6:16said to me, What do you see, Jeremiah? I answered, Figs.
- 6:20The good ones are very good, and the bad ones are very bad,
- 6:23so bad that they cannot be eaten.
- 6:27Then the word of Hashem came to me. Thus said Hashem, the God
- 6:32of Israel: As with these good figs, so will I single out for
- 6:35good the Judean exiles whom I have driven out from
- 6:39this place to the land of the Chaldeans.
- 6:42I will look upon them favorably, and I will bring them
- 6:46back to this land. I will build them and not overthrow them.
- 6:50I will plant them and not uproot them. And I will give
- 6:54them the understanding to acknowledge Me, for I am Hashem.
- 6:59And they shall be My people, and I will be their God, when they
- 7:03turn back to Me with all their heart.
- 7:07And like the bad figs, which are so bad that they cannot be eaten,
- 7:11thus said Hashem, so will I treat King Zedekiah
- 7:14of Judah and his officials, and the remnant of Jerusalem that
- 7:19is left in this land, and those who are living in the land of Egypt.
- 7:23I will make them a horror and evil to all the kingdoms
- 7:27of the earth, a disgrace and a proverb, a byword and
- 7:31a curse, in all the places to which I banish them. I will
- 7:35send the sword, famine, and pestilence against them,
- 7:39until they are exterminated from the land that I gave to them and
- 7:43their fathers. The word which
- 7:46came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in the 4th
- 7:50year of King Jehoiakim, son of Josiah of Judah,
- 7:54which was the first year of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon.
- 7:58This is what the Navi Jeremiah said to all the people of Judah
- 8:02and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem: From the
- 8:0613th year of King Josiah son of Amon of
- 8:09Judah to this day, these 23 years, the word of Hashem has
- 8:14come to me: I have spoken to you persistently, but you would
- 8:17not listen. Moreover, Hashem constantly sent
- 8:21all His servants the Nevi'im to you, but you would
- 8:25not listen or incline your ears to hear when they said, Turn back,
- 8:29everyone, from your evil ways and your wicked acts, that you
- 8:33may remain throughout the ages on the soil which Hashem gave to
- 8:37you and your fathers. Do not follow other gods to
- 8:40serve them and worship them. Do not vex Me with
- 8:44what your own hands have made, And I will not bring disaster
- 8:48upon you. But you would not listen to Me,
- 8:52declares Hashem, but vexed Me with what your
- 8:56hands made to your own hurt.
- 8:58Assuredly, thus says the Lord of Hosts, because you would not listen to
- 9:02My words, I am going to send for all the peoples of
- 9:06the north, declares Hashem, and for My servant King Nebuchadnezzar
- 9:10of Babylon and bring them against this land. And its inhabitants,
- 9:14and against all those nations round about. I will exterminate
- 9:19them and make them a desolation, an object of hissing,
- 9:22ruins for all time. And I will banish
- 9:26from them the sound of mirth and gladness, the voice
- 9:30of the bridegroom and the bride, and the sound of the mill and the light
- 9:33of the lamp. The whole land shall be a desolate ruin,
- 9:37and those nations shall serve the king of Babylon 70
- 9:42years.
- 9:47When the 70 years are over, I will punish the king
- 9:50of Babylon and that nation and the land of the Chaldeans for their sins,
- 9:54declares Hashem, and I will make it a desolation for
- 9:58all time. And I will bring upon that land
- 10:01all that I have decreed against it, all that is recorded in this book,
- 10:06that which Jeremiah prophesied against all the nations.
- 10:09For they too shall be enslaved by many nations and great kings,
- 10:14and I will requite them according to their acts and according to
- 10:18their conduct. For thus said Hashem,
- 10:22the God of Israel, to me: Take from my hand this cup
- 10:25of wine of wrath, and make all the nations to
- 10:29whom I send you drink of it. Let them drink
- 10:32and retch and act crazy because of the sword that
- 10:36I am sending among them.
- 10:41So I took the cup from the hand of Hashem and gave drink
- 10:45to all the nations to whom Hashem had sent me: Jerusalem
- 10:49and the towns of Judah and its kings and officials, to make them a desolate
- 10:53ruin, an object of hissing and a curse, as is now
- 10:56the case; Pharaoh, king of Egypt, his courtiers,
- 11:00his officials, and all his people; all the mixed peoples,
- 11:04all the kings of the land of Uz, all the kings of the
- 11:07land of the Philistines, Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron,
- 11:11and what is left of Ashdod, Edom, Moab, and Ammon,
- 11:16all the kings of Tyre and all the kings of Sidon and all the kings
- 11:19of the coastland across the sea, Dedan,
- 11:23Tema, and Booz, all those who have their hair clipped,
- 11:27all the kings of Arabia and all the kings of the mixed peoples who live
- 11:31in the desert, All the kings of Zimri and all the kings of Elam and
- 11:35all the kings of Media, all the kings of the north,
- 11:39whether far from or close to each other, all the royal
- 11:43lands which are on the earth, and last of all the king of
- 11:47Shishak shall drink. Say to them, Thus said the
- 11:50LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Drink and get drunk and
- 11:54vomit, fall and never rise again!
- 11:58Because of the sword that I send among you.
- 12:02But if they refuse to take the cup from your hand and drink,
- 12:05say to them, Thus said the Lord of hosts,
- 12:09You must drink. If I am bringing
- 12:13the punishment first on the city that bears my name, do you expect to go
- 12:16unpunished? You will not go unpunished, for I am summoning
- 12:20the sword against all the inhabitants of the earth, declares the Lord of
- 12:24hosts. You are to prophesy all those things to them and then
- 12:28say to them, Hashem roars from on
- 12:31high. He makes His voice heard from His holy dwelling.
- 12:35He roars aloud over His earthly abode.
- 12:39He utters shouts like the grape treaders against
- 12:43all the dwellers on the earth.
- 12:46Tumult has reached the ends of the earth, for Hashem has a
- 12:51case against the nations. He contends with
- 12:54all flesh. He delivers the wicked to the sword,
- 12:57declares Hashem. Thus said the LORD of hosts: Disaster
- 13:02goes forth from nation to nation. A great storm is
- 13:06unleashed from the remotest parts of earth.
- 13:09In that day the earth will be strewn with the slain of Hashem from
- 13:14one end to the other. They shall not be mourned
- 13:17or gathered and buried. They shall become dung upon the face of
- 13:21the earth. Howl, you shepherds,
- 13:25and yell! Straw dust on yourselves, you lords
- 13:28of the flock, for the day of your slaughter draws near.
- 13:32I will break you in pieces and you shall fall like a precious vessel.
- 13:36Flight shall fail the shepherds and escape the lords
- 13:40of the flock. Hark, the outcry of the shepherds and the howls of the lords
- 13:44of the flock, for Hashem is ravaging their pasture.
- 13:48The peaceful meadow shall be wiped out by the fierce wrath of Hashem.
- 13:53Like a lion, He has gone forth from His lair.
- 13:57The land has become a desolation because of the oppressive
- 14:01wrath, because of His fierce anger.
- 14:082 Thessalonians 2:1-17.
- 14:17Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus
- 14:21Christ, and by our gathering together unto Him,
- 14:25that you be not soon shaken in mind or be
- 14:29troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by
- 14:33letter as from us, as that the day
- 14:37of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive
- 14:41you by any means, for that day shall
- 14:45not come except there come a falling away first,
- 14:50and that man of sin be revealed, the son
- 14:54of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself
- 14:58above all that is called God or that is worshiped,
- 15:01so that he as God sits in the temple of God,
- 15:05showing himself that he is God.
- 15:09Remember not that when I was yet with you I told you these things?
- 15:13And now you know what withholds that he might
- 15:16be revealed in his time. For the
- 15:20mystery of iniquity does already work.
- 15:24Only he who now lets will let only until
- 15:28he be taken out of the way, and then shall
- 15:33that wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall
- 15:36consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall
- 15:39destroy with the brightness of his coming.
- 15:43Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan
- 15:47with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with
- 15:51all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them
- 15:54that perish, because they received not the love
- 15:59of the truth, that they might be saved.
- 16:03And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion,
- 16:08that they should believe a lie, that they all might be
- 16:12damned who believed not the truth,
- 16:16but had pleasure in unrighteousness. But we
- 16:20are bound to give thanks always to God for you,
- 16:23brethren beloved of the Lord, Because God
- 16:26has from the beginning chosen you to salvation
- 16:30through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of
- 16:34the truth, whereunto He called you by our gospel,
- 16:38to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus
- 16:41Christ. Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the
- 16:46traditions which you have been taught, whether by word or our
- 16:50epistle, Now our Lord Jesus Christ
- 16:54himself, and God, even our Father, which has loved us,
- 16:57and has given us everlasting consolation and good hope
- 17:01through grace, comfort your hearts, and establish you in
- 17:05every good work and word.
- 17:12Psalm 84:1-12.
- 17:15How amiable are Your tabernacles,
- 17:19O Lord of Hosts. My soul longs, yes, even faints
- 17:23for the courts of the Lord. My heart and my flesh cry out
- 17:27for the living God. Yes, the sparrow has found a house,
- 17:31and the swallow a nest for herself where she may lay her young,
- 17:35even Your altars, O Lord of Hosts, my King and my
- 17:38God. Blessed are they that dwell in Your house. They will be
- 17:42still praising You. Selah. Blessed is the man
- 17:46whose strength is in You, in whose heart are the ways of
- 17:50Them, who passing through the Valley of Baca make it a well; the
- 17:55rain also fills the pools. They go from strength
- 17:59to strength, every one of them in Zion appears before God.
- 18:03O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear,
- 18:07O God of Jacob. Selah.
- 18:10Behold, O God, our shield, and look upon the face
- 18:14of Your Anointed. For a day in Your courts is better
- 18:17than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper
- 18:21in the house of my God than to dwell in the tents of
- 18:26wickedness. For the Lord God is a sun and
- 18:29shield. The Lord will give grace and glory; no
- 18:33good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.
- 18:38O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusts in
- 18:42you.
- 18:46Proverbs 25:15. By long forbearing
- 18:51is a prince persuaded, and a soft tongue breaks the
- 18:55bone. I want to speak to you today from our reading from Jeremiah
- 19:00chapter 25, and then we're going to jump into 2 Thessalonians chapter 2.
- 19:05And in Jeremiah chapter 25, there's a really fascinating
- 19:09verse. And it
- 19:13says in chapter 25,
- 19:17starting in verse 10, I will banish them from the sound of mirth and gladness,
- 19:22the voice of the bridegroom and the bride, and the sound of the mill and
- 19:25the light of the lamp. This whole land shall be a desolate ruin,
- 19:28and those nations shall serve the king of Babylon.
- 19:3270 years. This is a prophecy that
- 19:37Jeremiah is giving to the nation of Israel saying
- 19:40because of all of their sin and their idolatry and their
- 19:44worship of other gods and of their out-and-out
- 19:48rebellion against the God of Israel, he's basically letting them
- 19:52know and giving them a heads up, you're going to go into exile.
- 19:56You're going to be kicked out of the land. It's like the land is vomiting
- 19:59you. And you're going to be in exile for a very
- 20:03specific amount of time, 70 years. Now this is speaking
- 20:07to the nation of Judah, the southern kingdom,
- 20:10um, and that they would be sent to Babylon.
- 20:15And so that verse, verse 11, you shall serve
- 20:19the king of Babylon 70 years. So it's very specific. He didn't just
- 20:23say you're going into exile. He said where you're going, to Babylon. And not,
- 20:27you know, he didn't say he was— how long would
- 20:30they be in Babylon? 70 years. And then in verse 12,
- 20:35when the 70 years are over, I will punish the king of Babylon and
- 20:38that nation and the land of the Chaldeans for their sins,
- 20:42declares Hashem, and I will make it a desolation for all time.
- 20:46And then the end of the exile will be
- 20:50complete and you will be allowed to return. Back to
- 20:54the land. So this is
- 20:58incredible. This is in chapter 25, verses 10 to 12.
- 21:03And one day, Daniel, who's now living in
- 21:06Babylon in exile, is studying
- 21:10the word of God, and he's reading in
- 21:13Jeremiah that very chapter, chapter 25, those verses
- 21:18I just read to you. And all of a sudden, ding,
- 21:21ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, light bulb goes on,
- 21:25flash of insight happens. And in Daniel chapter 9,
- 21:29it tells us that I, Daniel,
- 21:33chapter 9, verse 2, understood by the books
- 21:37the number of the years specified by the word
- 21:41of the Lord through Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish 70
- 21:45years in the desolations of Jerusalem.
- 21:50And why it was such a big deal was because he understood,
- 21:53oh, our time of exile is almost up.
- 21:56The 70 years are almost completed. And if we repent,
- 22:01and if we return to the Lord, then our people will
- 22:05be released from captivity, and we will be allowed to go back home
- 22:09to the land to rebuild Jerusalem and to rebuild
- 22:12the temple. And so understanding all of this, therefore,
- 22:16in Daniel 9:3, then I set my
- 22:20face toward the Lord God to make requests by prayer and supplications
- 22:24with fasting and sackcloth and ashes. And he begins
- 22:28this incredible prayer of repentance,
- 22:31standing in prayer, repenting for his people,
- 22:35for the nation of Israel. And, um,
- 22:39The rest of the chapter goes on with this repentance prayer. And then at
- 22:43the very end of this chapter, a tremendous
- 22:48revelation is given to him. An angel comes to him and says, I've heard
- 22:52your prayers. We've heard your repenting. And now we're going to reveal to
- 22:55you things about the end times. And this
- 22:59whole chapter is a key, a master key to
- 23:03unlocking many, many other prophecies in
- 23:07the Bible about the end times, especially concerning the
- 23:11Book of Revelation and the Second Coming of Christ. This book really opens
- 23:15that up. It's like a master key. But it all began
- 23:18with Daniel studying Jeremiah chapter
- 23:2225 and then understanding— it's kind of like if you were in prison
- 23:27and you were sentenced to 70 years in prison and maybe you were only 10
- 23:31years old, And now you're 79 years old and you've been
- 23:35in prison for 69 years.
- 23:39And you understand, oh, I only have one more year to go and then I'm
- 23:43going to be released. I'll be a free man. I'll be a free woman.
- 23:46I'll be out of here. That's what it was for Daniel
- 23:49of understanding our time of exile is
- 23:53almost complete. We better hit the deck. We better repent.
- 23:58And cry out and return to the Lord so that
- 24:02He will bring this prophecy to pass.
- 24:06Now continuing on in Jeremiah 25,
- 24:10in verse 15 it says, for thus says Hashem, the God of Israel,
- 24:13to me, take from my hand this cup of wine of
- 24:17wrath and make all the nations to whom I send you drink
- 24:22of it. And it goes on to say in verse 17,
- 24:25so I took the cup from the hand of Hashem and gave drink to all
- 24:29the nations to whom Hashem sent me. Now this picture
- 24:34that's being painted here about this cup of wine of
- 24:38wrath, that it's going to go to all the nations,
- 24:41that they're to drink and get drunk and fall and never rise again
- 24:45because of the sword that God is going to send among them,
- 24:51And this has a real
- 24:55clear connection into the Book of Revelation.
- 24:59And in Revelation chapter 17, we are introduced to
- 25:03the Mystery Babylon Harlot Woman.
- 25:07And in chapter 17, verse 1, it says, then one of the 7 angels
- 25:11who had the 7 bowls came and talked with me, saying, come,
- 25:14and I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many
- 25:17waters. With whom the kings of the
- 25:21earth committed fornication, and the inhabitants of
- 25:25the earth were made drunk with the wine of
- 25:29her fornication. So he carried me away in the spirit into
- 25:32the wilderness, and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was
- 25:37full of names of blasphemy, having 7 heads and 10 horns.
- 25:41The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet and adorned with gold and precious
- 25:45stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full
- 25:50of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication.
- 25:56And on her forehead a name was written: Mystery Babylon the
- 26:00Great, the mother of harlots and of abominations of
- 26:04the earth. Verse 6: I saw the woman drunk
- 26:08with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus.
- 26:12And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement.
- 26:18So this cup that she carries full of abominations,
- 26:22the nations and the kings of the earth have drunken
- 26:26from this cup, this wine of abomination.
- 26:30And it's closely connected to what we just read in Jeremiah
- 26:3525. Basically, we're kind of looking at
- 26:382 different camera shots of the same events happening in
- 26:42the end of days. Back in Jeremiah
- 26:4725:30, God is telling Jeremiah
- 26:51to do this. You are to prophesy all those things to them
- 26:54and then say to them, Hashem roars from on
- 26:58high. He makes His voice heard from His holy
- 27:01dwelling. He roars aloud over His earthly abode.
- 27:06He utters shouts like the grape treaders against
- 27:09all the dwellers on earth.
- 27:13So there's a time of judgment coming, a time of
- 27:17judgment against the nations that have allied themselves
- 27:21with this Mystery Babylon Harlot Woman,
- 27:24and the nations will be judged. So we've
- 27:28seen it pictured here in Jeremiah, and then of
- 27:31course it is repeated with greater detail and Revelation.
- 27:36Now let's go into 2 Thessalonians chapter
- 27:402. And if
- 27:44I could summarize this book or give it like a chapter title, if I
- 27:48could summarize the whole chapter in just one sentence, I would say what this is
- 27:51about is we are to be a lover of truth.
- 27:56Okay, so what is the restrainer that is mentioned
- 28:00here in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2? The restrainer
- 28:03is the Holy Spirit, the church. And so
- 28:08you and I, if we are born again, we are indwelled
- 28:12by the Holy Spirit. And when the restrainer is taken away,
- 28:16then the Antichrist is revealed.
- 28:21So in a way, I heard this analogy from
- 28:26John Barnett. He's a really great Bible teacher.
- 28:29And in a nuclear reactor, you have these control rods,
- 28:32and the control rods, as long as they are in place, they keep the nuclear
- 28:37reactor stable and it doesn't
- 28:40overheat. But as soon as you take the control rods out
- 28:44and they are lifted up, then the nuclear core begins
- 28:48to go into meltdown and it becomes highly, highly toxic
- 28:52and it it goes nuclear. So in
- 28:56a way, we are like those control rods. As long as the control rods,
- 29:00the restrainer, is present on the earth,
- 29:04it restrains and holds back the
- 29:08effect of the Antichrist and the evil and all of the evilness
- 29:12of the Antichrist. But as soon as the Holy Spirit,
- 29:15as soon as we the church are taken up and caught up
- 29:19in the clouds with Jesus to meet Him in the air,
- 29:22when that harpazo, that second, that rapture happens,
- 29:26that's the control rods being taken out of the nuclear reactor, and the Earth really
- 29:31goes totally full down the path of evil.
- 29:35So he also tells us in this chapter that there will be
- 29:39a great falling away and a great apostasy,
- 29:43that this is a huge sign that we are getting close to the end of
- 29:47days, and that we must not just be knowers
- 29:51of truth, But we must be lovers of
- 29:55God's Word. Not just knowers of God's Word, but lovers
- 30:00of God's Word. A strong deluding
- 30:03spirit will come, and those who don't love the truth will
- 30:08be deceived. So our protection from
- 30:13being deceived, from coming under that delusion, is that
- 30:17we must love the truth and that we
- 30:21are to stand firm and hold on to the truth. And truth
- 30:24is a person. Truth is Jesus Christ.
- 30:28So the restrainer is the Holy Spirit, the church. We are like
- 30:32the control rods of the nuclear reactor, and once the restrainer,
- 30:36the control rods, are removed, then the Antichrist
- 30:40is revealed and we are removed when the
- 30:44Rapture occurs. So Father, I pray that You will
- 30:48help each and every one of us to be lovers of Your truth,
- 30:51of Your Word. May our love for Your truth grow
- 30:56more and more. Increase our appetite and
- 31:00our hunger for the Word of God. Help us to share
- 31:04the Gospel with others and to take people with us to heaven.
- 31:10Help us not to come under that spirit of deception
- 31:14and delusion. May we return to
- 31:17You with all of our heart, and may You stir afresh in our
- 31:21heart our first love for You,
- 31:25Jesus. We ask it in the name of the Lord.
