Speaker 4: Hello, ladies and gentlemen, this is Caralee with Let's Talk
• 0:39
Speaker 4: and I have in the building. Uh Hollis Lewis, Hello, Hello,
• 0:43
Speaker 4: and the list the miss Lisa can get my name right.
• 0:50
Speaker 2: I've been trying to I've been trying to forget.
• 0:52
Speaker 5: Forget you is what I've been specause I don't have
• 0:55
Speaker 5: my Packers shirt on tonight.
• 0:56
  Speaker 6: You're up.
• 0:57
Speaker 2: That is the reason why I've been trying to forget you.
• 0:59
  Speaker 2: That's the problem.
• 1:00
Speaker 7: You know I wear one next week.
• 1:01
Speaker 4: Well you know we don't take it as a Viking
• 1:03
Speaker 4: fan anytime, so you don't have to wait it out. Okay,
• 1:07
Speaker 4: oh boy, So today, and I'm gonna say, maybe the
• 1:13
Speaker 4: quietest person on the show sometimes sometimes sometimes I'm mad.
• 1:17
Speaker 4: I was quiet because I missed last week with Dustin Baker.
• 1:20
Speaker 4: So I'm a little you little man, but I want
• 1:25
Speaker 4: to talk to that was missed. If you haven't listened
• 1:30
Speaker 4: to that show, make sure you do that. Well, since
• 1:32
Speaker 4: you're back, well we're going to hand it over to you.
• 1:35
Speaker 4: Let you handle, all right. So we talked, y'all talk
• 1:38
Speaker 4: Vikings and Packers and all that stuff. But I am
• 1:41
Speaker 4: a Laker fan. I can say this is the this
• 1:44
Speaker 4: is probably the only team that I am a true
• 1:47
Speaker 4: fan of besides West Virginia State and Southern University. But
• 1:50
  Speaker 4: far as professional, I'm a I'm a Laker fan. I'm
• 1:53
Speaker 4: never going to change. If if if I couldn't like
• 1:56
Speaker 4: if I could not be a Laker fan. I just
• 1:58
Speaker 4: I'm not a fan of basketball team Laker.
• 2:02
Speaker 2: Okay, okay me either. You got to give me a
• 2:06
Speaker 2: little bit of backdrop.
• 2:08
Speaker 4: Magic Johnson, that's it. I love Magic Johnson. He's my
• 2:12
Speaker 4: favorite all time basketball player. He's the greatest basketball player
• 2:15
Speaker 4: if you ask me. But yeah, I'm a huge Magic Johnson.
• 2:20
Speaker 4: When when he did his announcement, you know, he he
• 2:23
Speaker 4: couldn't play anymore, Like I cried, like you know, I am.
• 2:28
Speaker 4: I was like ten eleven, maybe twelve I'm like that.
• 2:31
Speaker 4: I think it was like ninety three, it was early nineties.
• 2:34
Speaker 7: You hear that he's a baby.
• 2:38
Speaker 4: I am a huge I love Magic Johnson. So what
• 2:43
Speaker 4: happened is that this past week the Lakers were sold
• 2:47
Speaker 4: for the second time in a year. So the Lakers
• 2:50
Speaker 4: were originally sold to from the Bus family, or at
• 2:53
Speaker 4: least a large percentage from the Bus family, to Mark Walter.
• 2:57
Speaker 4: He's he owns the Dodgers and a couple other teams
• 3:00
Speaker 4: for ten million dollars. Walter then turns around this week
• 3:04
Speaker 4: and sells the majority interest eighty three percent of the
• 3:08
Speaker 4: Lakers to Disney CEO bib Auger and Josh Kushner Josh Cushing.
• 3:13
Speaker 4: I think is some disin related to the Trump family
• 3:16
Speaker 4: or you know, by marriage or whatever. He sells them
• 3:18
Speaker 4: for twelve point five million dollars, So that's about a
• 3:20
Speaker 4: twenty five percent return in it in a year. So
• 3:25
Speaker 4: and Walter Mark Walters, he is currently under federal investigation
• 3:29
Speaker 4: for tax frauds, so I think he's not only selling
• 3:31
Speaker 4: the Lakers, He's trying to sell the soccer team. But
• 3:35
Speaker 4: I think the issue with this is number one, when
• 3:37
Speaker 4: you have such an historic franchise, like the Lakers being
• 3:40
Speaker 4: kind of just moved around like a used car, although
• 3:44
Speaker 4: although we're talking significant money, so we're not talking used
• 3:47
Speaker 4: car money, right, And then just the manner in which
• 3:50
Speaker 4: this sell happened, right, because again this was kind of quiet. Normally,
• 3:54
Speaker 4: if a team is up for sale, it's a kind
• 3:57
Speaker 4: of quote unquote pin on the.
• 3:59
Speaker 2: Markets and hurt exactly right there may.
• 4:05
Speaker 4: Literally, So I guess the question is is that does
• 4:09
Speaker 4: the league or should professional franchise leagues, do they have
• 4:14
Speaker 4: an obligation to make sure that sales like this aren't
• 4:18
Speaker 4: done in this sort of manner or is it a
• 4:21
Speaker 4: situation in which, hey, man, you own a team, you
• 4:23
Speaker 4: kind of do what you want.
• 4:24
Speaker 2: See And and to that point, I think ownership.
• 4:30
Speaker 4: Supersedes not that it should, but it supersedes the owner,
• 4:37
  Speaker 4: like the.
• 4:39
Speaker 2: I don't even know how to even describe it, but
• 4:41
  Speaker 2: you yes, like I don't.
• 4:43
Speaker 4: Yeah, I think if I own it, you can't tell
• 4:47
Speaker 4: me what I can and can't do with it. But
• 4:49
Speaker 4: but isn't there like an integrity part within kind of
• 4:53
Speaker 4: the confines of like the n b A or whatever
• 4:56
Speaker 4: professional sports organization that they should have some sort of
• 4:59
Speaker 4: you could you you could want that, but again, how
• 5:03
Speaker 4: how how are how are you going to convince me
• 5:06
Speaker 4: as an owner of a team that that that you're
• 5:08
Speaker 4: gonna because let's say, because it has it's not there now,
• 5:11
Speaker 4: can we get there? I'm gonna say possibly no, because
• 5:15
Speaker 4: I don't want you to be able to dictate what
• 5:18
Speaker 4: I'm doing with my team.
• 5:20
Speaker 2: Now. Do I think that's right?
• 5:21
  Speaker 8: No?
• 5:22
  Speaker 2: But I just don't. I don't think that that's well.
• 5:24
Speaker 7: I mean I see your point to a degree.
• 5:27
Speaker 5: It is your team and you should be allowed to
• 5:29
Speaker 5: to do you know, as you will as far as
• 5:32
Speaker 5: sell or you know, keep it or however you choose
• 5:35
  Speaker 5: to handle things.
• 5:35
Speaker 7: But it's got to be a clean sale.
• 5:38
Speaker 5: I mean, there's so much, there's so much like you know, uh,
• 5:41
Speaker 5: dirt around this sale because you're thinking about this this
• 5:45
Speaker 5: guy that we Mark Walter agreed to sell to, that
• 5:49
Speaker 5: Josh Kushner, he's in trouble right now, right, Yeah, they're
• 5:56
Speaker 5: all in trouble. So you know, I think that why
• 5:58
Speaker 5: I meant Walter, you're right, but he's the one that
• 6:01
Speaker 5: had the business empire, right, the t WG Global, and
• 6:04
Speaker 5: they're under investigation for tax fraud, for tax fraud.
• 6:07
Speaker 7: And for for you know, he's trying to seek.
• 6:09
Speaker 5: Liquidation because he had all these loans that he had
• 6:13
Speaker 5: through insurance companies, like sixteen billion dollars worth of loans,
• 6:17
Speaker 5: so he's trying to pay those down. So that's part
• 6:19
Speaker 5: of the tax fraud, I believe.
• 6:20
  Speaker 2: OK.
• 6:20
Speaker 7: But you know, I don't think that.
• 6:25
Speaker 5: You have some freedom to do what you want with
• 6:28
Speaker 5: your team once you buy into an NBA franchise, But
• 6:31
Speaker 5: it has to be legitimate and you know, above scrutiny.
• 6:37
Speaker 2: But shouldn't we be looking at them, shouldn't we shouldn't
• 6:39
Speaker 2: we catch that on the front end?
• 6:41
Speaker 4: I mean, I mean maybe, But I think the other
• 6:44
Speaker 4: issue far as when we talk about the legitimated legitimacy
• 6:49
Speaker 4: of the sale, and it's particularly like what's going on
• 6:51
Speaker 4: because you're kind of in trouble and you don't want
• 6:53
Speaker 4: to have any sort of you know, stain on the
• 6:56
Speaker 4: league name. If I'm the New York Knicks, if I'm
• 6:59
Speaker 4: the Miami if I'm Chicago Bulls, I'm like, what are
• 7:02
Speaker 4: you doing? We sold again? The Lakers are the Yankees.
• 7:07
Speaker 4: The Lakers are the Cowboys. So if you sold them
• 7:10
Speaker 4: for twelve point five, and I'm like, I mean not
• 7:12
Speaker 4: to say they are. But if I'm the New York Knickson,
• 7:14
Speaker 4: I'm like, well it's time for me to sell. Are
• 7:16
Speaker 4: you going to get as much as the Lakers? Probably
• 7:18
Speaker 4: not right. If you're Miami Heat, you definitely ain't. You're Chicago,
• 7:22
Speaker 4: if you're Milwaukee. So if I'm an other team, if
• 7:24
Speaker 4: I'm another team owner, again, I may sympathize what's going on,
• 7:27
Speaker 4: But at the same time, I'm looking like, dang, at
• 7:29
Speaker 4: least put it on the market, because I'm thinking, at
• 7:32
Speaker 4: the very least I'm top fifteen billion, maybe even up
• 7:35
Speaker 4: to twenty bgion it's the Lakers, yes too, Okay, So
• 7:39
Speaker 4: the really the issue to me that you're saying is
• 7:44
Speaker 4: actually the cost and the sale cost of it. There's
• 7:48
Speaker 4: no way you can you can buy a franchise team
• 7:54
Speaker 4: and not one of the best in the NBA.
• 7:57
Speaker 2: In sports, in sports, in sport. Okay, I even give
• 8:00
  Speaker 2: you that.
• 8:00
Speaker 4: Yeah, it's in sports, No way you can you can
• 8:04
Speaker 4: come out of that with that little bit of money.
• 8:07
Speaker 2: I mean, but it's a lot of money.
• 8:08
Speaker 4: It's a lot of But what I'm saying is like,
• 8:10
Speaker 4: if you put it on the market, we don't know.
• 8:12
Speaker 4: I mean, maybe maybe it maybe it is twelve point five.
• 8:14
Speaker 4: Maybe that's what it is. We don't know, but I'm
• 8:16
Speaker 4: saying we don't know because.
• 8:17
Speaker 2: It's not in the market.
• 8:18
Speaker 4: I would i would agree with you that it's probably
• 8:21
Speaker 4: worth closer to fifteen or maybe a little bit more
• 8:24
Speaker 4: so if I'm an if I'm another team, I'm looking
• 8:26
Speaker 4: at like, man, you just can't arbitrarily sell these things.
• 8:29
Speaker 4: And again, were there any vetting to your point? You
• 8:33
Speaker 4: talk about catching on the front end? Are we vetting
• 8:35
Speaker 4: the new owners? What's the process for that?
• 8:37
  Speaker 2: Right?
• 8:38
  Speaker 6: You know?
• 8:38
Speaker 2: Are we opening ourselves up to bid? Is it?
• 8:41
Speaker 4: Is it a quote unquote fair process? Because the league
• 8:44
Speaker 4: can reject to say hey, you can't own a franchise.
• 8:48
Speaker 4: They've done that previously, they rejected owners.
• 8:51
Speaker 7: They're not going to reject that much money, though, do
• 8:53
Speaker 7: you think even though.
• 8:56
Speaker 5: And who else would buy? I mean, I'm sure there
• 8:58
Speaker 5: would be somebody, but not for that much.
• 9:00
Speaker 4: We see in Jenny Buss her family just sold their
• 9:03
Speaker 4: seventeen point eight steak after the original sale. That yeah,
• 9:06
Speaker 4: so they sold. Not not only did Walter show his shares,
• 9:09
Speaker 4: but the Bus family saw this, which is a sad thing.
• 9:11
Speaker 5: It's just well, she was supposed to be like that
• 9:14
Speaker 5: she was going to stay the Lakers governor until all this,
• 9:17
Speaker 5: like you know, change and transition you know, kind of
• 9:21
Speaker 5: happened and now she's gone.
• 9:22
Speaker 7: So you know, that's another thing.
• 9:24
Speaker 5: This team is probably you know, their heads are the
• 9:28
Speaker 5: people on the team, the organization, the players, Their heads
• 9:31
Speaker 5: are spinning. You're going from one owner to another, the changes,
• 9:34
Speaker 5: the expectations. Do you think that's why Lebron you know,
• 9:38
Speaker 5: kind of thought about I didn't even think that.
• 9:43
  Speaker 7: Wind of that.
• 9:44
Speaker 5: I wow, I just thought of I just made that connection.
• 9:48
Speaker 5: And I'm like, you know, he went to the seventy
• 9:50
Speaker 5: six ers and he just went up, you know, not
• 9:52
  Speaker 5: long ago.
• 9:53
  Speaker 7: Did he know?
• 9:53
Speaker 5: Did he see this coming? Did somebody you know tell
• 9:56
Speaker 5: him that this was coming down the pike? And he
• 9:57
Speaker 5: was like, hey, I'm out of here.
• 9:59
Speaker 2: That's actually a great point that even think about. So
• 10:01
  Speaker 2: that could be.
• 10:02
Speaker 4: And it can and and and it couldn't easily look
• 10:05
Speaker 4: as though he might have known, but he and he
• 10:08
  Speaker 4: might not have. But yeah, I mean that's a that's
• 10:13
Speaker 4: a that is a good good point because I mean,
• 10:17
Speaker 4: why would he why would he have left? Well, I
• 10:19
Speaker 4: think his time was up, But yeah, I think.
• 10:22
Speaker 5: That but it might but if any other any other franchise,
• 10:28
Speaker 5: there's not to me.
• 10:29
Speaker 4: I don't think he has an opportunity to go to
• 10:32
Speaker 4: a franchise that is on the brink of winning a
• 10:35
Speaker 4: championship because they don't need him. I think he is
• 10:38
Speaker 4: in this situation with all the pieces that they got
• 10:40
  Speaker 4: within is now.
• 10:42
Speaker 2: I think he is now, I really do.
• 10:45
Speaker 4: I mean, because they got emb they got your boy,
• 10:47
Speaker 4: they got Jaylen Brown, they got Lebron, they got some
• 10:51
Speaker 4: other like young pieces there.
• 10:52
Speaker 2: Okay, let me ask you, let me let me ask
• 10:54
  Speaker 2: you this question.
• 10:55
  Speaker 7: I'm happy in l A. I mean, I think that's
• 10:58
  Speaker 7: his business.
• 10:59
Speaker 5: You're right, And he had a son there with him.
• 11:01
Speaker 5: I mean, he was kind of living a dream life.
• 11:04
Speaker 5: The Lakers, like you said, they're the story team of
• 11:06
Speaker 5: the NBA. It just kind of Now that.
• 11:09
Speaker 2: Is a good Maybe he knew something, right, that's a
• 11:12
  Speaker 2: good point.
• 11:12
Speaker 7: I mean, you know this didn't happen.
• 11:14
Speaker 5: Just this has been in the works for a minute,
• 11:16
Speaker 5: for this much money and all the trans you know,
• 11:18
Speaker 5: transactions and the paperwork that have to take place with
• 11:21
Speaker 5: the legal stuff. Surely somewhere along the road he found
• 11:25
  Speaker 5: out about it.
• 11:26
Speaker 2: Well, maybe he just knew that guy was in trouble.
• 11:28
Speaker 7: Maybe he not too that too.
• 11:30
Speaker 4: Oh man, Okay, have we ever seen this happen like
• 11:39
Speaker 4: this before? You can anybody remember this fast? Like a
• 11:44
Speaker 4: sale like that just happened again. We're not talking no disrespect.
• 11:48
Speaker 4: We're not talking about the Brewers. No, you know what
• 11:50
  Speaker 4: I'm saying. You're talking about the Lakers. Yes, it's it's
• 11:55
Speaker 4: in American sports. It is the Lakers, it is the Yankees,
• 12:01
Speaker 4: and it's the Cowboys when you all play.
• 12:07
Speaker 2: There. Yeah, that's why Mike went out.
• 12:12
Speaker 7: I think Matt Murphy was they cut my mic out.
• 12:16
Speaker 2: No, but those are the premier franchises.
• 12:18
Speaker 4: But hey, like them, love I'm no I am, I
• 12:21
Speaker 4: am no cowboy friend, but like them, love them, I
• 12:24
Speaker 4: hate him. Those are the premier franchises in American sports.
• 12:28
Speaker 4: And when you sell those franchises, you don't do so
• 12:32
Speaker 4: in a week under.
• 12:33
  Speaker 2: You don't do that. I don't know.
• 12:35
Speaker 4: I'm gonna say even do you even do you even sell?
• 12:38
Speaker 4: Do you even sell those great point coach.
• 12:41
Speaker 7: Even when they lose, they make money.
• 12:43
Speaker 5: We we know the merch sales, you know, just people
• 12:47
Speaker 5: buy tickets, whether they're losing better.
• 12:50
Speaker 4: Better year, And those are franchise that have been handed
• 12:54
Speaker 4: down to second and third generator.
• 12:55
Speaker 2: Yes, right, you know what I'm saying.
• 12:57
Speaker 4: When you look at the Yankees and stein brannder friend,
• 12:59
Speaker 4: I'm not sure if they still own him. I believe
• 13:01
Speaker 4: they did at least for a while. You know, the
• 13:03
Speaker 4: bus you're passing him down at least for one or
• 13:06
Speaker 4: two generations. Right, So it's just, man, it's just a little,
• 13:10
  Speaker 4: a little fishy.
• 13:11
  Speaker 7: A lot fishy.
• 13:12
Speaker 5: I'll know, a lot, I'll go even further, a lot fishy.
• 13:15
Speaker 4: I'm I just don't for me anything anything that has
• 13:24
Speaker 4: to do. I would say, I don't know if it
• 13:28
Speaker 4: necessarily I can, I can put him in this, but
• 13:30
Speaker 4: it went it's around Lebron.
• 13:33
Speaker 8: Johns Now, he's not responsible, No, he is everything that saying.
• 13:44
Speaker 5: But this looks pretty legit that that we're questioning. Is
• 13:48
Speaker 5: that why he jumped ship in LA Now that this
• 13:51
Speaker 5: came out not long after he decided to go to
• 13:53
Speaker 5: the seventy six ers.
• 13:54
  Speaker 7: I mean, I'm just I'm just.
• 13:55
Speaker 2: Making my point, helping me make my I'm not.
• 13:57
Speaker 5: Saying he did it like like he wanted to do.
• 14:00
Speaker 5: I mean, you know, maybe he saw what was coming
• 14:02
Speaker 5: on and the guy you want to get his hands dirty.
• 14:07
Speaker 2: Okay, you said you said he saw the writing on
• 14:10
Speaker 2: the wall, or did somebody write it on the wall?
• 14:13
Speaker 7: Somebody did he read the writing?
• 14:16
Speaker 4: See that's my that's my place seeing doesn't want to
• 14:19
Speaker 4: give me no do You could very well be we
• 14:23
Speaker 4: both could. But I'm going to make the case it's
• 14:27
Speaker 4: not a coincidence to me that he's trying to jump ship.
• 14:31
Speaker 4: I jumping ship because he he he's going to know.
• 14:36
  Speaker 2: To me, I feel like he's he's a player. He's
• 14:39
  Speaker 2: in the note.
• 14:40
Speaker 4: I mean, and and again it's legitimate because of all
• 14:43
Speaker 4: his businesses in l A. He does this stuff, with
• 14:46
Speaker 4: all the things he's trying to do.
• 14:47
Speaker 7: He's your head a little bit when he goes to Philly.
• 14:51
Speaker 4: So like, I'm no conspiracy theorist, but you know, again,
• 15:00
Speaker 4: you heard it here first. I don't think I've heard
• 15:01
Speaker 4: that anywhere else. I don't think I've heard that theory.
• 15:04
Speaker 4: So it's legit. But we move on to football, and
• 15:08
Speaker 4: we have quarterback of the Commanders, the Washington DC Commanders,
• 15:13
Speaker 4: Jaden Danils. He sent a cease and desist order to
• 15:18
Speaker 4: l s U to stop using his name, image, and likeness,
• 15:22
Speaker 4: and the basis of it was because they allowed another
• 15:27
Speaker 4: player to wear his number five. He was a Heisman
• 15:30
  Speaker 4: winner at LSU. I don't think they didn't win a
• 15:33
Speaker 4: national championship winning, but he was a Heisman winner, high
• 15:35
Speaker 4: draft pick, and he and he backdated. So he was
• 15:38
Speaker 4: just like, look, don't use my image no more. If
• 15:40
Speaker 4: y'all gonna let him use where my number, we're done.
• 15:44
Speaker 4: As far as that relationship, I think he even tried to, like,
• 15:46
Speaker 4: at least the speculation that he tried to like take
• 15:48
Speaker 4: back the Heisman that's house there and everything like that.
• 15:52
Speaker 2: What do you what do you think about that?
• 15:54
Speaker 4: All Right, I'm gonna I'm gonna I'm gonna hit this
• 15:56
Speaker 4: with a question. All right, So let's just say you
• 16:01
Speaker 4: you you go to college. Most colleges are rarely retire jerseys.
• 16:09
Speaker 4: Some some league teams don't.
• 16:11
  Speaker 2: Yes, don't. I didn't know that.
• 16:14
Speaker 4: Yeah, and and and a lot of times the league,
• 16:16
Speaker 4: they may retire your jersey, but somebody can still wear it, right,
• 16:22
Speaker 4: you know what I'm saying, Because they because there's only
• 16:24
Speaker 4: so many numbers, it's not official.
• 16:26
Speaker 7: They just kind of take it off the market. Is
• 16:28
Speaker 7: that what you're saying?
• 16:28
Speaker 4: You know, they're just like, hang it up. The like
• 16:31
Speaker 4: honor the jersey. They won't retire the number. They might
• 16:36
Speaker 4: retire in particular jersey for you.
• 16:39
Speaker 7: Okay, but not the number.
• 16:40
Speaker 4: But not the number, yeah, because what what because you
• 16:43
Speaker 4: can you can come up short of numbers.
• 16:47
Speaker 2: Now, with with that being said, I would think.
• 16:53
Speaker 4: I'm okay if you know you're not gonna retire my jersey,
• 16:58
Speaker 4: somebody's gonna wear I'm okay with somebody wearing it. What
• 17:03
Speaker 4: I the all that would matter to me is what
• 17:05
Speaker 4: what will you do with my jersey to to keep
• 17:08
Speaker 4: me in the mindset of the fan base and the
• 17:12
Speaker 4: former players that are or the future players that will come.
• 17:15
Speaker 4: I'm not really why do I care if they take
• 17:19
Speaker 4: the number off the market? Well, I think I think
• 17:22
Speaker 4: for sure, you're a Heisman winner, his jersey is going
• 17:25
Speaker 4: to be like in their Ring of honor or whatever.
• 17:27
Speaker 4: They's going to be honest, he's going to and all
• 17:30
Speaker 4: that stuff. But I think it brings up two interesting questions,
• 17:33
Speaker 4: Like I think number one is the business savvy of
• 17:37
Speaker 4: the athlete to say okay again. And he didn't go
• 17:42
Speaker 4: He went to I think one or two years there.
• 17:44
Speaker 4: He started out for Arizona State. Then he transferred to
• 17:46
  Speaker 4: l s U. I'll touch on that in a second,
• 17:49
Speaker 4: but I think that it brings up an interesting point
• 17:51
Speaker 4: of now the athlete saying, look, I don't want if
• 17:54
Speaker 4: you're not gonna, you know, essentially do what I say
• 17:58
Speaker 4: as far as the college that I went to, I
• 18:00
Speaker 4: don't want you using my name, image and likeness anymore.
• 18:03
Speaker 4: So I don't want you to profit or use me
• 18:05
Speaker 4: in promotional tools or anything like that. What do you
• 18:09
Speaker 4: think about that part that that that the athlete now
• 18:11
Speaker 4: has that that that I don't think that you I
• 18:14
  Speaker 4: don't think that you can I don't think that I
• 18:17
Speaker 4: could have that at Marshall when I played there. Marshall
• 18:20
Speaker 4: has the right to play any clips of my inn
• 18:25
Speaker 4: commercial if they're trying to sell Marshall. But okay, let
• 18:29
Speaker 4: me but if they did something that you disagreed with.
• 18:33
Speaker 5: That, let me let me throw something in there before
• 18:35
Speaker 5: you got to go any further with this, because I
• 18:37
Speaker 5: think part of the problem is what I read. Jaden
• 18:41
Speaker 5: Daniels and his family feel disrespected because, in their opinion,
• 18:45
Speaker 5: they're not receiving the same treatment as Joe Burrow. Yeah, okay,
• 18:49
Speaker 5: because his number nine jersey has not been given to
• 18:52
Speaker 5: any other player since he left for the NFL in
• 18:55
Speaker 5: twenty twenty, So that's their argument. Also, I heard or
• 18:58
  Speaker 5: I read that this uh it's it's a defensive back
• 19:02
Speaker 5: wearing his number DJ picktt that yeah, yeah, that was
• 19:06
Speaker 5: part that was part of his recruiting deal, that he
• 19:10
Speaker 5: wanted to wear that number and they granted that. So
• 19:12
Speaker 5: that's kind of a sticky situation because I guess the
• 19:15
Speaker 5: school doesn't want to, you know, go back on what
• 19:17
Speaker 5: they promised this four star player to come to l SU.
• 19:21
Speaker 4: But I would say with Joe Burrow, is that again
• 19:24
Speaker 4: I understand that from a competitive nature, like you want
• 19:27
Speaker 4: the same treatment, But I would also say, Joe Burrow
• 19:30
Speaker 4: won a championship and that was one of the greatest
• 19:33
Speaker 4: college football teams of all time that he was on,
• 19:36
Speaker 4: and he won the Heisman. Well, so it's a it's point,
• 19:39
  Speaker 4: it's sort of a different I am I saying, it's
• 19:42
Speaker 4: like it's that far different, But that championship at LSU means.
• 19:46
Speaker 2: A lot more than just that Heisman.
• 19:48
Speaker 4: Yeah to them, yes, I I.
• 19:53
Speaker 2: When did we get to the place, When did we
• 19:55
Speaker 2: get to the where a player.
• 20:00
Speaker 4: Is arguing about his jersey going to somebody that's that's next.
• 20:06
Speaker 4: I never even thought. And again I'm not in that.
• 20:10
Speaker 4: I'm not at that level. Well, no, you are at
• 20:12
Speaker 4: that level for Marshall. He was like one of the
• 20:14
Speaker 4: first draft picks. So you are at that level for Marshall.
• 20:17
  Speaker 6: You are.
• 20:17
Speaker 4: If somebody's gonna wear number one at Marshall, I'm like, hey,
• 20:22
  Speaker 4: what's his name?
• 20:23
Speaker 2: I want to know who he is. You know, I'm not,
• 20:25
  Speaker 2: I'm not.
• 20:27
Speaker 4: I'm not worried about anything about the number when it
• 20:33
Speaker 4: comes to me. But but okay, let's let's just let's
• 20:37
Speaker 4: say is your numbers retired at Marshall, or your jersey's retired,
• 20:41
Speaker 4: or you Ring of Honor or something?
• 20:42
Speaker 2: Yeah I got yeah, I'm Hall of Fame.
• 20:44
Speaker 4: Yeah okay, but let's I mean, would you feel a
• 20:47
Speaker 4: way if if if you weren't getting the same accolades
• 20:50
Speaker 4: for somebody who achieved the same thing as you, Like,
• 20:53
Speaker 4: so if you had another like the guy the next
• 20:55
Speaker 4: dude who gets drafted or or you know what I'm saying,
• 20:58
Speaker 4: because I think you were the first after the crew
• 21:00
Speaker 4: as right, Yes, so you were the first after the crash,
• 21:02
Speaker 4: and let's say the second guy who got drafted and
• 21:04
Speaker 4: he's getting all accolades, but you're not quite getting those accolades.
• 21:07
Speaker 4: Would you feel different at that point? No, because I
• 21:11
Speaker 4: think it's different. It's not just about the jersey. It's
• 21:13
Speaker 4: about that he doesn't want them to use his image.
• 21:19
  Speaker 2: Here's the thing.
• 21:20
  Speaker 7: Here's the thing.
• 21:25
Speaker 4: If the player is good, and I'm gonna make the
• 21:28
Speaker 4: assumption that he is really good because they're given him
• 21:31
Speaker 4: that number, you ain't got to worry about that.
• 21:34
Speaker 2: You don't have to.
• 21:35
Speaker 7: You don't take your money elsewhere. What you're saying he
• 21:38
Speaker 7: doesn't like Okay, at the next level.
• 21:40
Speaker 4: If I'm thinking they're gonna give somebody a number one
• 21:43
Speaker 4: and he's gonna sit on the bench, Okay, I might
• 21:46
  Speaker 4: argue with that.
• 21:47
Speaker 2: Okay, you know what I'm saying.
• 21:49
Speaker 4: But when you're talking, when you're talking about that dude's
• 21:52
Speaker 4: wearing number one and he's playing, I don't care. If
• 21:54
  Speaker 4: he's playing guard and he's a good player, he's on
• 21:57
Speaker 4: the field. Why number been worried about that number eleven
• 22:02
Speaker 4: at Penn State? We know like all the dog linebackers
• 22:04
Speaker 4: getting number eleven in Penn State.
• 22:06
  Speaker 6: Isn't this the reason we have n I l though?
• 22:09
Speaker 6: Isn't this the reason.
• 22:10
Speaker 9: Why the schools are paying these players so that they
• 22:13
Speaker 9: can use that image, and like this, they have paid
• 22:16
Speaker 9: him to be a player, and like Carl's stay, they
• 22:19
Speaker 9: didn't have that, so he would have I would think
• 22:22
Speaker 9: a much better argument there than say, someone who has
• 22:24
Speaker 9: been compensated through the NIL program.
• 22:28
Speaker 6: They paid you to play.
• 22:29
  Speaker 8: There that.
• 22:32
Speaker 6: The school owns the rights.
• 22:33
Speaker 2: That you're saying that, okay, okay, okay.
• 22:36
Speaker 6: They paid him, so they own the rights to do
• 22:39
Speaker 6: whatever they want with.
• 22:40
Speaker 4: His that's that that to me, that kills it.
• 22:47
  Speaker 2: That kills I.
• 22:48
Speaker 4: Mean, it does, but I'm still saying so, I mean,
• 22:50
Speaker 4: like do so so, Matt, you're saying that jayde and
• 22:54
Speaker 4: Daniel now does not have a right, whether legally, ethically
• 22:58
Speaker 4: or whatever, to dictate what they do with his image
• 23:01
Speaker 4: because he was compensated at that time.
• 23:04
Speaker 9: Essentially he became an employee of the university.
• 23:07
Speaker 7: Yes, you know, this may come up later on when.
• 23:10
Speaker 4: We're making some good points now, and yeah, there's.
• 23:19
  Speaker 2: I mean, that's I mean, that's that can't.
• 23:24
Speaker 9: Because I mean that was really kind of one of
• 23:25
Speaker 9: the arguments when they came up with the ni L
• 23:27
Speaker 9: issue to begin with, because there was video games, there's
• 23:30
Speaker 9: obviously advertising all of the traditional stuff that's been going on,
• 23:33
Speaker 9: and that was the argument by the players. Hey, you
• 23:36
Speaker 9: were using all of our stuff, our image, are likeness
• 23:39
Speaker 9: to make money for the university and we're getting nothing
• 23:42
Speaker 9: out of it. Now the players are getting something.
• 23:44
Speaker 6: Out of it. Do they have the right to make
• 23:47
  Speaker 6: that claim?
• 23:48
  Speaker 2: That's a I mean, that's that's not on. I mean that.
• 23:51
Speaker 5: Sounds like something that will come up in court eventually
• 23:55
Speaker 5: with them, but with you know another player that that
• 23:58
Speaker 5: kind of has the same issues. Well, I'll tell you
• 24:00
Speaker 5: one thing to kind of like, you know, kind of
• 24:02
Speaker 5: the Internet is always undefeated when it comes to stuff
• 24:05
Speaker 5: like this, right, you know we know that.
• 24:06
Speaker 7: So the jokes have been flying.
• 24:08
Speaker 5: So I guess just recently the Mets beat the Nationals
• 24:12
Speaker 5: in baseball four to one, and they said they stopped
• 24:15
Speaker 5: at four out of respect for Jade and Daniels. Okay,
• 24:18
Speaker 5: they've got sub Hub who said they no longer will
• 24:21
Speaker 5: offer tickets in groups of five, only four or six
• 24:24
Speaker 5: plus out of respect for jabb Now, how funny is that?
• 24:30
Speaker 4: When when when are you as the person okay, as Daniels, like,
• 24:34
Speaker 4: when are you gonna look at this and say, Okay,
• 24:39
Speaker 4: maybe I'm wrong here? But okay, let me let me
• 24:41
Speaker 4: ask you a question. How does this play? You know,
• 24:44
Speaker 4: you're you in in the NFL locker room, your quarterback
• 24:47
  Speaker 4: is doing this.
• 24:49
Speaker 2: How does this play in the locker room? Are you like,
• 24:51
  Speaker 2: do what the.
• 24:53
  Speaker 6: Oh?
• 24:53
Speaker 4: Yeah, there's there's gonna be guys. There's gonna be guys
• 24:56
Speaker 4: and playing guys who are players who have had some
• 25:00
Speaker 4: yours in right, they're gonna they're gonna dog.
• 25:02
Speaker 2: You, okay, but they're joking. They're gonna joke with you. Bray.
• 25:07
  Speaker 4: I didn't I didn't question. I walked in and there
• 25:11
Speaker 4: was a thirty nine in my locker.
• 25:13
  Speaker 6: I ain't had.
• 25:13
Speaker 4: No I ain't question that, I ain't question none of that.
• 25:17
Speaker 4: I was like, oh, that ain't a very good number.
• 25:19
Speaker 4: But you know what I did. I put it on
• 25:21
Speaker 4: and you made it. You made it a type number.
• 25:23
Speaker 4: You made it so and for me, I'm saying, I
• 25:26
Speaker 4: don't care what number you get, dude.
• 25:29
Speaker 2: Making work and and and and and I couldn't go
• 25:33
Speaker 2: over and try to get your jersey. You was already there.
• 25:35
  Speaker 4: I can't get least it's it's already there, you're already playing.
• 25:39
Speaker 4: I can't come in and start talking about well, hey,
• 25:42
Speaker 4: I want Hollis as Jersey Hollie no better yet, Hollis
• 25:45
Speaker 4: has my jersey number one.
• 25:47
  Speaker 2: Got that.
• 25:48
Speaker 6: Here's the thing about the NFL.
• 25:50
Speaker 9: They cover their own ass because what's the very last
• 25:52
Speaker 9: thing that plays on an NFL broadcast, the very last thing.
• 25:57
Speaker 7: The copyright or production of.
• 25:58
Speaker 9: This, reproduction, redistributions, and blah blah blah, the express riding
• 26:02
Speaker 9: consent of the NFL. They've got themselves covered there right right.
• 26:05
Speaker 9: The question is does the NC DOUBLEA have the same thing.
• 26:08
  Speaker 9: I don't know, but I bet.
• 26:11
Speaker 4: I don't even know if this has ever been a thing.
• 26:13
  Speaker 4: It's never I got, I don't remember. I mean, I'm
• 26:16
  Speaker 4: sure I don't even think.
• 26:17
Speaker 2: They probably even thought about somebody.
• 26:20
Speaker 7: Straight for all of that, like that they paid him
• 26:24
  Speaker 7: for the name.
• 26:26
  Speaker 6: You know.
• 26:26
Speaker 4: Well, I think it was a situation in which I
• 26:29
Speaker 4: want to say it was a Notre Dame player that
• 26:32
Speaker 4: and this was before pre n I l he actually
• 26:35
Speaker 4: sent something, did something so like he didn't want to
• 26:37
Speaker 4: be on commercials and features. He was like on one
• 26:39
Speaker 4: of those little game day commercials or something to that fact.
• 26:42
Speaker 4: So I think it has been done. But again I
• 26:44
Speaker 4: think he was in the air pre print. I want
• 26:47
Speaker 4: to say it was a Notre Dame guy, but to
• 26:50
Speaker 4: this degree, and I think, and I have to agree
• 26:53
Speaker 4: with Matt. I mean, you was paid, so I think
• 26:55
Speaker 4: it's going to be difficult for them for you to say, like, well,
• 26:58
Speaker 4: we just can't particularly a Heisman troll.
• 27:00
  Speaker 5: I know, right well, I think I think he's kind
• 27:02
Speaker 5: of realized the error of his ways. I mean, recently
• 27:04
  Speaker 5: he's he's come out and made a statement that he's
• 27:06
Speaker 5: locked in on training camp and he has gratitude toward
• 27:11
Speaker 5: l s U, but there are issues they need to
• 27:13
Speaker 5: work out. So he's kind of backing down a little
• 27:15
Speaker 5: bit trying because he realized.
• 27:17
Speaker 7: That yeah, yeah, he's good, he knows what's I mean?
• 27:21
Speaker 4: I think about think about some of the number, just
• 27:24
Speaker 4: the number of players that had left college gone to
• 27:30
Speaker 4: the pros and somebody just threw them a number, and
• 27:34
Speaker 4: and and and and they put that jersey on and
• 27:37
Speaker 4: they played. And here now we've got a guy who is, yeah,
• 27:42
Speaker 4: who is worried about it his jersey number.
• 27:46
  Speaker 7: I know.
• 27:47
Speaker 5: I mean it was kind of like I kind of
• 27:49
Speaker 5: it raised my eyebrows, that's for sure. I was kind
• 27:51
Speaker 5: of like, I guarantee you, Matt makes a good point, Matt.
• 27:55
Speaker 7: I mean, I think eventually the point there's gonna be
• 27:58
Speaker 7: some litigation that comes along.
• 27:59
Speaker 4: With it, and maybe that and that might be something
• 28:02
Speaker 4: that's negotiated within contracts on the front end to say,
• 28:06
Speaker 4: to negotiate going forward.
• 28:08
Speaker 2: Yeah, the name of your li likens moving forward.
• 28:11
Speaker 4: I mean, and if it got down to Jersey, that'd
• 28:13
Speaker 4: be so petty, but you know, yeah, because because yeah.
• 28:17
Speaker 7: Does anything shock you anymore?
• 28:19
Speaker 5: Pettiness, the level of pettiness we've got going on in college,
• 28:23
Speaker 5: and that's just crazy.
• 28:24
Speaker 4: What happened showing up at camp and days and just
• 28:28
Speaker 4: business and just go and play business. All right, Speaking
• 28:33
Speaker 4: of that, speaking of showing up the camp and play
• 28:35
Speaker 4: we are in the midst of the NFL preseason, which
• 28:38
Speaker 4: came really really really.
• 28:39
Speaker 7: Fast, my goodness, our eyes.
• 28:41
Speaker 4: So we wanted to ask you, coach, like what what
• 28:45
Speaker 4: like if you can think back to when you were
• 28:48
Speaker 4: a rookie, verse when you were an established veteran, like,
• 28:53
Speaker 4: what was your mindset about preseason football games? So starting
• 28:58
Speaker 4: off when you was a rookie, what was your mindset
• 29:00
Speaker 4: going into like your first preseason football game? Am I
• 29:04
Speaker 4: gonna play? I just wanted I wanted to get yeah,
• 29:09
Speaker 4: I mean, how are the nerves because I mean I think,
• 29:14
Speaker 4: I think, I think over the nerves came wanting to play.
• 29:20
  Speaker 6: I did.
• 29:21
  Speaker 2: I didn't. I couldn't spend any time. I wasn't.
• 29:24
  Speaker 4: I don't want to say I wasn't nervous, but I
• 29:26
Speaker 4: was more so wanting to play because I figured the
• 29:31
Speaker 4: only way I'm gonna make the team is if I
• 29:33
Speaker 4: play and I can show it.
• 29:35
  Speaker 2: So now.
• 29:37
Speaker 4: Getting an opportunity, when you first get the first opportunity
• 29:41
Speaker 4: to play, there's some nervous nervousness there, but if you're asking, like,
• 29:47
Speaker 4: you know, first opportunity. I'm in camp and I want
• 29:51
Speaker 4: to get out there with the guys that are that
• 29:55
Speaker 4: are the name players.
• 29:57
  Speaker 6: You know.
• 29:58
Speaker 4: You know you got Tommy Kramer out there, you know,
• 30:00
Speaker 4: and I'm like, hey, let me I want to go.
• 30:02
Speaker 4: Let me in so I can see if I can
• 30:04
Speaker 4: intercept the ball from him, you know, I.
• 30:05
Speaker 2: Mean you it's just it to me.
• 30:08
Speaker 4: It was all about trying to get on simply get
• 30:11
Speaker 4: on the field, because you couldn't.
• 30:13
Speaker 2: You know, you couldn't.
• 30:14
Speaker 4: I wasn't going to be able to stand there and
• 30:16
Speaker 4: just say, okay, he looks like a player. I wanted
• 30:19
Speaker 4: to show that I was a player and I and
• 30:23
Speaker 4: I wasn't really sure if that was gonna be what
• 30:25
Speaker 4: showed up. But in my head, I'm thinking, I just
• 30:28
Speaker 4: want to get out on the field. I just I
• 30:30
Speaker 4: want to I want to get out and field. And
• 30:31
Speaker 4: I think most players, whether a walk on or a
• 30:38
Speaker 4: free agent, a first round pick, last round pick, I
• 30:42
Speaker 4: think when you get there and you're walking into the locker,
• 30:47
Speaker 4: and you and you know, you're walking into a it's
• 30:50
Speaker 4: a college surroundings, and you you got your number. You
• 30:55
Speaker 4: get to your locker and you put that gear on,
• 30:58
Speaker 4: and you're walking out for the first practice, the first
• 31:01
Speaker 4: actual physical practice. You're thinking about, Man, I'm gonna hit
• 31:05
Speaker 4: everything I can possibly get. I'm gonna you know, I'm
• 31:08
Speaker 4: gonna do anything I can do to get a coaching Yeah,
• 31:12
Speaker 4: a standout so that I have an opportunity to try
• 31:16
Speaker 4: to get to play. And you and you get that
• 31:17
Speaker 4: twice back in the day. You got it twice a day,
• 31:20
Speaker 4: you know, for three three and a half weeks. So
• 31:23
Speaker 4: is the is the game the actual first preseason game?
• 31:26
Speaker 4: Are you entering with that same mindset? Yes, you want
• 31:30
Speaker 4: to play and and and I don't think I played
• 31:34
Speaker 4: in the first preseason.
• 31:36
Speaker 2: Uh game and special teams nothing, no, nothing.
• 31:41
Speaker 4: I think I think maybe the second the second game
• 31:45
  Speaker 4: I got in.
• 31:48
Speaker 2: I got in on defense.
• 31:52
Speaker 4: For maybe a quarter, and then by the last preseason game,
• 31:56
Speaker 4: I think I got like like maybe the whole last quarter.
• 32:01
Speaker 4: I played the all or maybe the half, maybe a half,
• 32:06
Speaker 4: and you know, made some plays. But but what it does,
• 32:10
Speaker 4: what the preseason does for you is in your cockiness
• 32:14
Speaker 4: and belief that you can play.
• 32:16
Speaker 2: It'll show you if you can.
• 32:19
Speaker 4: You get the opportunity to be able to say, okay,
• 32:22
Speaker 4: I can, I can fit here.
• 32:24
Speaker 5: So what about the established players though, like, like, okay,
• 32:28
Speaker 5: So I'm going to bring this up real quick because
• 32:29
Speaker 5: I want to hear what you guys have to think
• 32:30
Speaker 5: about I have to say about it. Is Tom Brady,
• 32:33
Speaker 5: one of my favorite former quarterbacks insert eye roll here.
• 32:38
Speaker 5: He had a message for NFL players who would rather
• 32:41
Speaker 5: spend the preseason safely watching from the sideline. He said,
• 32:45
Speaker 5: get in the game. What happened was a fan shared
• 32:48
Speaker 5: one of his old clips of him playing in a
• 32:51
Speaker 5: twenty ten Patriots preseason game, and he reposted it to
• 32:55
Speaker 5: his Instagram. Okay, and he said this was you know
• 32:59
Speaker 5: and I quote preseason, regular season. I never wanted to
• 33:03
Speaker 5: be taken off the field. Practice makes perfect. Too many
• 33:06
Speaker 5: people looking for easy ways out these days. Now, that's
• 33:09
Speaker 5: what he said. What do you guys think about Tom's wizdy?
• 33:13
  Speaker 4: I think he's I think he's I think he's one
• 33:15
Speaker 4: hundred percent right, because what if he get hurt?
• 33:19
  Speaker 2: I had.
• 33:20
Speaker 4: I got in because hey, I got in because the
• 33:22
Speaker 4: guy was saying he was hurt. He thought he was hurt.
• 33:27
Speaker 4: I got a chance to get in. I in all
• 33:30
Speaker 4: the tents of purposes, I outplayed him.
• 33:33
  Speaker 6: So now.
• 33:35
Speaker 2: His his job now is my job?
• 33:39
Speaker 7: The time you were a starter, what I'm saying, yeah.
• 33:42
Speaker 2: Once you were established started, what was the thought process
• 33:44
  Speaker 2: of playing.
• 33:45
Speaker 4: I'm not going to ever give you a chance to
• 33:46
Speaker 4: get in the game, okay.
• 33:49
Speaker 5: And management was okay with that, because see, I look
• 33:52
Speaker 5: at it as I doesn't want them in there to
• 33:54
  Speaker 5: get hurt.
• 33:55
Speaker 4: They may bring you out, they may if they bring
• 33:58
Speaker 4: you out, they might bring you out the first quarter.
• 34:00
Speaker 4: That might bring you out at half and then put
• 34:02
Speaker 4: somebody else in. But for me, you the title was preseason.
• 34:10
Speaker 4: I wasn't thinking in my mind I was good enough
• 34:12
Speaker 4: that it could I could just play it because it.
• 34:14
  Speaker 2: Was pre season.
• 34:15
  Speaker 4: I'm playing a game. Oh so you're you're locked in.
• 34:18
Speaker 4: I'm locked in. I can't do that in practice, but
• 34:22
Speaker 4: this is a game. I don't know nobody over there.
• 34:27
  Speaker 4: I don't have so I don't have to take it
• 34:28
Speaker 4: easy on nobody. You come across here, I'm hitting you.
• 34:31
  Speaker 2: So that's you.
• 34:32
Speaker 4: So you had a similar Tom Brady mindset, like preseason
• 34:36
Speaker 4: Week one playoffs playing, it's.
• 34:39
Speaker 2: Playing and again he was a low round draft pick.
• 34:43
Speaker 4: Okay, so maybe maybe the mentality when you when when
• 34:47
Speaker 4: you're in college and you and people are thinking that
• 34:50
Speaker 4: you're good, and you're starting to think that you're good too,
• 34:52
Speaker 4: and all of a sudden, when the draft go they
• 34:55
Speaker 4: call this name, they call this name, they call this name.
• 34:57
Speaker 4: Then they talk about, well we'll call you back tomorrow
• 35:00
Speaker 4: and you'll get that call the next day. And you're
• 35:03
Speaker 4: getting ready to go into camp and all these and
• 35:05
Speaker 4: I'm looking at some dudes, I'm like thinking that all
• 35:07
Speaker 4: these dudes came before me.
• 35:09
Speaker 2: All these dudes. You're saying, this guy is better than me.
• 35:12
  Speaker 2: This ain't gonna work. It's it's I'm telling.
• 35:15
Speaker 4: You, I don't see how you could go into it
• 35:19
Speaker 4: without that mindset, because if you do, you better be
• 35:23
  Speaker 4: a super superstar. I wasn't a super superstar. I had
• 35:28
Speaker 4: to build my my name, my reputation, what I could
• 35:32
Speaker 4: do on the field. So that and that's stayed with you,
• 35:35
Speaker 4: That stayed with me. I was hungry every single year.
• 35:38
Speaker 2: That makes sense. That makes sense, And I'm curious.
• 35:41
Speaker 7: I would like to look it up. Maybe maybe Max
• 35:43
Speaker 7: can look it up for us.
• 35:44
Speaker 5: But did Tom Brady play in any preseason games his
• 35:47
Speaker 5: the end of his career?
• 35:50
Speaker 7: He did remember him Okay, okay, at least thinking like
• 35:54
  Speaker 7: what are.
• 35:55
Speaker 4: I'm going to play at least a quarter and if nothing,
• 35:58
Speaker 4: and maybe Max at half time. Yeah, And that was
• 36:02
Speaker 4: just that was just the actual reality of.
• 36:07
  Speaker 2: Players.
• 36:08
Speaker 4: Now do you have players? Are there players that don't
• 36:11
Speaker 4: want to play in preseason? Absolutely? And today and today
• 36:14
Speaker 4: I think they're not interested in it.
• 36:17
  Speaker 2: I don't think that's.
• 36:17
Speaker 5: More management than the players actually like to me, those
• 36:21
Speaker 5: players are an investment.
• 36:22
  Speaker 7: This is preseason.
• 36:23
Speaker 5: I remember, I don't know how long ago, this was
• 36:26
Speaker 5: probably ten years ago, whenever was it.
• 36:29
Speaker 7: Jordie Jordie Nelson got hurt.
• 36:33
Speaker 5: In a preseason game and you know, a meaningless game,
• 36:35
Speaker 5: and he was out the rest of the season. He
• 36:37
  Speaker 5: did some kind of a I don't I can't even
• 36:38
Speaker 5: remember the injury. But to me, those star players, you
• 36:42
Speaker 5: protect them this time of year because what happens is
• 36:46
Speaker 5: even though most of those kids that are out their
• 36:48
Speaker 5: preseason are trying to, you know, make plays to make
• 36:52
  Speaker 5: the team.
• 36:53
  Speaker 7: That's that's the thing.
• 36:54
Speaker 5: They're going to go that there are adrenalines high that they're
• 36:57
Speaker 5: they're looking to make a name for themselves, are going
• 37:00
Speaker 5: they hit hard, and you know, the chances of injuries occurring,
• 37:03
Speaker 5: to me, skyrocket because there's those kids are wanting to
• 37:07
Speaker 5: make a name for themselves.
• 37:08
  Speaker 4: I would, I would, I would, I would say this,
• 37:12
Speaker 4: I'm games, I'm always I'm always going to be the
• 37:17
Speaker 4: one trying to make I'm trying to make the team
• 37:20
Speaker 4: every time I go out on the field.
• 37:22
Speaker 2: Every time I go out on the That's a different mentality,
• 37:24
  Speaker 2: you know.
• 37:24
  Speaker 4: I'm I'm because I know Hollis. I know if Hollis
• 37:28
  Speaker 4: is playing, I know he's good. He's here, so I
• 37:31
Speaker 4: know he's good. I'm not going to I'm not going
• 37:34
Speaker 4: to make that mistake. But John Swain University of Miami.
• 37:41
Speaker 4: He he had the audacity to say no, I won't
• 37:46
Speaker 4: play this game today because my ankle's hurt.
• 37:49
Speaker 2: Okay, who's going in.
• 37:52
Speaker 4: I'm going in with the mindset thinking, bruh, you ain't
• 37:55
Speaker 4: never gonna get back out here.
• 37:57
Speaker 2: Yeah, and he never got back out.
• 37:59
  Speaker 7: It's a brutal it is.
• 38:00
  Speaker 2: I mean.
• 38:02
Speaker 4: So if I'm not if for me, if I know
• 38:06
  Speaker 4: I got a job because a guy didn't want to
• 38:08
Speaker 4: play because he said he was hurt, you think I'm
• 38:11
Speaker 4: going to get out of the game. I'm not gonna
• 38:13
Speaker 4: play in the game. I'm playing with with with a
• 38:16
Speaker 4: cast with pins in my wrist because I'm not gonna
• 38:19
Speaker 4: not play because Hollis is sitting right behind me waiting
• 38:21
Speaker 4: on me to not get in the game.
• 38:25
  Speaker 6: Lord.
• 38:25
  Speaker 4: I mean again, I think that's just a different mentality
• 38:29
Speaker 4: when you are Tom Brady Coachley when a low pick
• 38:33
Speaker 4: and you ascend, so I think you always kind of
• 38:35
Speaker 4: carry that chip, which I mean, honestly, it makes sense
• 38:38
Speaker 4: and that's probably what should happen. So just moving on
• 38:41
Speaker 4: the youth sports, there's an article that we got sent
• 38:45
Speaker 4: earlier about one of our producers and it talked about
• 38:47
Speaker 4: the AAU system and in back in the twenty eleven
• 38:52
Speaker 4: there was an allegation or maybe a you know, conviction
• 38:56
Speaker 4: of what have you about, you know, sexual abuse in
• 39:00
Speaker 4: in the a you or youth sports, and then a
• 39:03
Speaker 4: you made a pledge to do investigation, to do background
• 39:07
Speaker 4: checks on coaches, to set standards. They even had a
• 39:09
Speaker 4: rule that we'll talk about later that if a coach
• 39:12
Speaker 4: was banned from one organization on one league, that he
• 39:16
Speaker 4: would be banned from the AAU system in totality. But
• 39:21
Speaker 4: what the article discovered in investigation is that they didn't
• 39:24
Speaker 4: they weren't really doing the background checks. Several banded coaches
• 39:27
Speaker 4: who were banning other leagues were still coaching within the
• 39:30
Speaker 4: AAU systems and it and it just wasn't being upheld
• 39:35
Speaker 4: or what they said wasn't being upheld as far as
• 39:37
Speaker 4: what they do. And it brings a you know, an
• 39:40
  Speaker 4: interesting a point because I guess I don't know how
• 39:46
Speaker 4: you would even try to make that claim or how
• 39:49
Speaker 4: you would even try to do that or implement and
• 39:51
Speaker 4: even execute that because everything is so fragmented, so even
• 39:56
Speaker 4: within the you know, ancillary leagues and you know, the
• 40:00
Speaker 4: little local leagues, and also within AU system because it's
• 40:04
Speaker 4: so large, because you have you know, hundreds of thousands
• 40:07
Speaker 4: of kids participating in anyone given time across various sports.
• 40:11
Speaker 2: So and it brings up to a question. Something we've discussed.
• 40:15
Speaker 4: Is like does youth sports do they need either state
• 40:20
Speaker 4: wide governing bodies or should there just be a national
• 40:24
Speaker 4: governing body which everybody is under. So, whether you're playing
• 40:27
Speaker 4: rec league, whether you're playing within the circuits, should there
• 40:31
Speaker 4: be like standardized governing bodies? I think I think it
• 40:35
Speaker 4: should be. I think it should be statewide as a whole.
• 40:40
Speaker 4: If you want to do national, that's fine, But if
• 40:43
Speaker 4: you don't do local, national is not ever going to
• 40:47
Speaker 4: have an impact. I can see that they're not going
• 40:49
Speaker 4: to have an impact on leagues like leagues like that
• 40:54
Speaker 4: we have here in West Virginia. They're not gonna Why
• 40:57
Speaker 4: would they bother with that?
• 40:59
  Speaker 2: Right?
• 41:00
Speaker 4: But if you have if you have local, I'll just
• 41:06
Speaker 4: say state. If you have, the state is over overseeing it.
• 41:11
Speaker 4: I think now everybody's accountable. We can still have a
• 41:16
Speaker 4: board of coaches and presidents and all that kind of stuff,
• 41:19
Speaker 4: but you are the one who is going to be blamed.
• 41:25
Speaker 4: That board is going to be the one blamed if
• 41:28
Speaker 4: something's not going on. And let me ask a different
• 41:30
Speaker 4: question how do they execute that? Even on the state level.
• 41:34
Speaker 4: So we're saying all youth sports, so we're saying, cheering,
• 41:37
Speaker 4: they pass a track all this, and we're saying, we
• 41:40
Speaker 4: got to go to each little community and now we're
• 41:43
Speaker 4: going to be the governing body over all these fragment
• 41:46
  Speaker 4: and various sports.
• 41:47
Speaker 2: How do you do that?
• 41:48
Speaker 5: Couldn't you do something similar to the model that the
• 41:50
Speaker 5: Girl Scouts and Boy Scouties like, they have national standards
• 41:54
Speaker 5: that are there for all the organizations and then they
• 41:57
Speaker 5: take those and they mold them in make them fit
• 42:00
Speaker 5: to meet their needs at their state level. So you
• 42:03
Speaker 5: have an extra layer of security.
• 42:04
  Speaker 7: You're set.
• 42:05
Speaker 5: You have the national uh layer saying this, this is
• 42:08
Speaker 5: our expectations, this is what you need to do to
• 42:11
Speaker 5: run a clean program, and then the state has to
• 42:13
Speaker 5: abide by those and then maybe make their own bylaws
• 42:15
  Speaker 5: and that.
• 42:15
Speaker 4: But I think that the difference in that is that
• 42:17
Speaker 4: they're all under one organization. The Youth Sports says it's
• 42:21
Speaker 4: currently constructed, it's a bunch of different leagues.
• 42:25
Speaker 2: So they are making their own ohesion within that.
• 42:29
Speaker 4: So I'm saying, to your point, it could work if
• 42:31
Speaker 4: we're saying it's one organization just spread across different counts.
• 42:37
Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't have to.
• 42:38
Speaker 4: Play that league can be its own league. But but
• 42:42
Speaker 4: I don't think you could even do it like that.
• 42:44
Speaker 4: I think it has to be well everybody. To me,
• 42:47
Speaker 4: I'm thinking to your point, maybe maybe a little bit different.
• 42:52
Speaker 4: You have a governing body that is that sits above
• 42:57
Speaker 4: and there's no coaches, no parents, none of that.
• 43:00
Speaker 7: National sac yes, okay, state wisees.
• 43:04
Speaker 10: All right, and and you follow their rules and then
• 43:11
Speaker 10: there's an opportunity for them to or to receive a report.
• 43:16
Speaker 4: I could say, Hollis is coaching at such and such place,
• 43:19
Speaker 4: and we don't think that they are you. And this
• 43:22
Speaker 4: question is how do you how do you execute and
• 43:25
  Speaker 4: implement that?
• 43:26
Speaker 2: What does that look like?
• 43:27
Speaker 4: Because I'm saying, like, if you say it's the w
• 43:29
Speaker 4: v S SAC for youth sports, this is throw title
• 43:32
Speaker 4: on it. But there's so many more youth sports than
• 43:36
Speaker 4: there are high school teams.
• 43:38
Speaker 2: There's so many more youth teams.
• 43:40
Speaker 7: So I'm saying, like, every little community, and.
• 43:43
Speaker 4: Then what's the incentive for this team, that team, that
• 43:46
Speaker 4: team to be a part of this larger thing. You
• 43:49
Speaker 4: see what I'm saying. The reason why you would have
• 43:52
Speaker 4: to be parked, because then if you don't, if you
• 43:54
Speaker 4: don't participate, you ain't got a place to play.
• 43:58
Speaker 2: But you still need buy in from all these teams.
• 44:02
Speaker 4: I understand that, yes, but we well no, not necessarily.
• 44:07
Speaker 2: Their motive, our motive.
• 44:08
Speaker 4: To have to to agree to it. Whatever that's being
• 44:13
Speaker 4: put out there. If you put something out there, you
• 44:15
Speaker 4: had control of all the school all their all the
• 44:18
Speaker 4: football fields and stuff. Bro, we gotta follow you. I
• 44:22
Speaker 4: see what you see. I'm saying so, I mean so
• 44:25
Speaker 4: that the reality of where they practice, where they play
• 44:28
Speaker 4: their home games are all on high school middle school fields.
• 44:32
Speaker 4: And I can see that working for football. I still
• 44:35
Speaker 4: have questions on how that's gonna work for cheering, how
• 44:37
Speaker 4: that's gonna work for basketball, how they will work for baseball,
• 44:40
Speaker 4: because there's even even as many football teams as we
• 44:42
Speaker 4: think we have, it's so many more basketball and baseball teams.
• 44:47
Speaker 5: Well, I think for me, the bigger point for me
• 44:50
Speaker 5: is there were girls being abused, and that's a criminal charge.
• 44:54
Speaker 5: And regardless of whether we have an AAU, national or statewide.
• 44:58
  Speaker 2: Level, somebody's accountable.
• 45:00
Speaker 5: Somebody's accountable, and those people should legally, you know, be
• 45:03
Speaker 5: taken to court. And whatever, you know, consequences are served
• 45:07
Speaker 5: to them, should be served, you know, just like any
• 45:10
Speaker 5: other sport, like you know, in college whenever we had
• 45:12
Speaker 5: the scandal at Penn State. So you know, the bigger
• 45:16
Speaker 5: point is if there is some type of abuse going
• 45:20
Speaker 5: on with with with you know, some of these AAU leagues,
• 45:24
Speaker 5: then wherever they happen, First of all, you need to
• 45:27
Speaker 5: have a prevention of Everybody needs to be background checked.
• 45:30
Speaker 5: And I know that doesn't prevent everything, but it could
• 45:32
Speaker 5: help in the case that somebody jumped from one league
• 45:35
Speaker 5: to another and they really didn't check out his background.
• 45:38
Speaker 5: You know, that could have been prevented. Yeah, but you know,
• 45:41
Speaker 5: it's not going to prevent every situation. We know that,
• 45:43
Speaker 5: but at least it will help curb it.
• 45:45
Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, and I agree with you one hundred percent.
• 45:47
Speaker 4: I guess my question is, and just trying to play
• 45:49
Speaker 4: devil advocates, is that how do you execute it? Is
• 45:52
Speaker 4: kind of the question that I have because again I'm
• 45:56
Speaker 4: telling you, I've seen some of the most egregious things,
• 46:00
Speaker 4: particularly as it pertains the football. I mean, I've seen
• 46:03
Speaker 4: these these wacko coaches. I've seen one thing where they
• 46:06
Speaker 4: were having kids jog up a like a heel on
• 46:10
Speaker 4: like a street. It was a concrete in their cleats
• 46:13
Speaker 4: and in their helmets. I've seen one thing where they're
• 46:15
Speaker 4: clearly having the kids like not tackle correctly, leading with
• 46:19
Speaker 4: their head. It's like you, these people don't need to
• 46:22
Speaker 4: be coaching at all, right, But the question is is like,
• 46:26
Speaker 4: how do you execute a governing body against you sports
• 46:31
Speaker 4: when the nature of it, at least from some of
• 46:33
Speaker 4: these coaching standpoint, is that they are free to do
• 46:36
Speaker 4: whatever their volunteers. But I think, I think what what
• 46:40
Speaker 4: what you could do in that volunteer process, which is
• 46:43
Speaker 4: just saying if if I want to coach, I can
• 46:46
Speaker 4: just say, hey, you know, I show up and walk
• 46:48
Speaker 4: out on the field, bring my son and put them
• 46:51
Speaker 4: out there, and next thing.
• 46:52
Speaker 2: You know, I'm coaching.
• 46:54
Speaker 4: Okay, regardless of what I know or don't know about football,
• 46:57
  Speaker 4: I'm coaching.
• 46:58
Speaker 2: That's one of the problems.
• 47:01
Speaker 4: But what I think to your point, I think what
• 47:03
Speaker 4: should happen is it's just like if you're going to
• 47:07
Speaker 4: coach in high school or college, you gotta take you
• 47:10
Speaker 4: gotta take a you gotta take a class. I believe that,
• 47:13
Speaker 4: you know, I think I think that I think that
• 47:14
Speaker 4: they need to take those classes and pass them and
• 47:19
Speaker 4: then become part of it.
• 47:21
Speaker 5: And I agree, but then it's even harder to get
• 47:23
Speaker 5: people to come out involved. You know that they're already
• 47:27
Speaker 5: strapped to find people to come out and just coach,
• 47:30
Speaker 5: whether they're qualified or not. And then you add that
• 47:33
Speaker 5: piece to it unpaid, you know, then that's just going
• 47:36
Speaker 5: to deter a lot more people to be involved.
• 47:39
Speaker 7: In my opinion, Well.
• 47:40
Speaker 4: And I think what happens too if we if we
• 47:42
Speaker 4: if we structure have its so structured, then it almost
• 47:45
Speaker 4: takes the community feel out of it as well. So
• 47:48
Speaker 4: it's like it inhibits certain things. But I think that
• 47:50
Speaker 4: we have to have some sort of standardization, whether we
• 47:54
Speaker 4: get together as like a quasi governing body and saying, look,
• 47:58
Speaker 4: we're going to have these rules. We're not necessarily going
• 48:02
Speaker 4: to be like the quote unquote government bike but but.
• 48:06
Speaker 2: We we as a collective that's a better word.
• 48:09
Speaker 4: But I'll say this to trying to figure out if
• 48:14
Speaker 4: we can get them to do that without paying. I
• 48:16
Speaker 4: wouldn't make the case that most dads who are coaching
• 48:19
Speaker 4: their son would pay for the class to be able
• 48:24
Speaker 4: to be on the field with with with their son.
• 48:28
  Speaker 2: I think.
• 48:28
Speaker 4: I think the coaches that the dads, or even just
• 48:32
  Speaker 4: the coaches who.
• 48:34
Speaker 2: Are there who show up.
• 48:37
Speaker 4: I think, at least for us, we've got coaches who
• 48:43
Speaker 4: know they don't know, and will ask and they want
• 48:47
Speaker 4: to know, and I think I think what we could
• 48:50
Speaker 4: do is we could actually give them a class, create
• 48:53
Speaker 4: a class that all coaches would have to take. But again,
• 48:58
Speaker 4: I just don't I don't see that as the biggest issue.
• 49:00
Speaker 4: The biggest issue is getting all the teams to work
• 49:04
Speaker 4: together and to be under an authoritative body.
• 49:08
  Speaker 2: I think that's the issue.
• 49:09
Speaker 4: I think you can get the coaches because you as
• 49:11
Speaker 4: an organization could mandate that. But I think that getting
• 49:15
Speaker 4: all these little ragtag teams together and saying, okay, you're
• 49:19
Speaker 4: now under this governing body on a state and then
• 49:22
Speaker 4: at a national level, that's the task. See I think, okay,
• 49:25
Speaker 4: And to your point, the reason why that would be
• 49:28
  Speaker 4: challenging because I'm if I'm X program over here, I
• 49:33
Speaker 4: want to play over there because we think we can
• 49:37
Speaker 4: compete there, and we don't want to go over that
• 49:41
Speaker 4: way because we don't we can't compete. Then the governing
• 49:43
Speaker 4: body is going to be tasked with managing all these
• 49:47
Speaker 4: issues and it would literally be endless, don't I don't
• 49:51
Speaker 4: know that it could, Like I'm just trying to figure
• 49:54
Speaker 4: out how I'm sure it can work.
• 49:56
Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, maybe just start with baby steps, you know, like,
• 49:59
Speaker 5: first of all, makes sure that what was happening in
• 50:02
Speaker 5: the article that you referred to with with the AAU
• 50:05
Speaker 5: and and and the girls having you know, some some abuse,
• 50:08
Speaker 5: you got to stop that, stop you know the other stuff. Yeah, yeah,
• 50:12
Speaker 5: that that should be the first thing that that happens.
• 50:14
Speaker 4: I think, even even with even with the background check,
• 50:17
Speaker 4: I think that if you're if you're especially in the
• 50:21
Speaker 4: AAU situations or travel or whatever you want to call it,
• 50:27
Speaker 4: I think that there should not necessarily be a time
• 50:31
Speaker 4: to where you could have you could have my daughter,
• 50:36
Speaker 4: you and my daughter by by herself. You know, there
• 50:39
Speaker 4: should not be a situation because we don't have a
• 50:41
Speaker 4: locker room, you know, and and the only place we
• 50:46
Speaker 4: have that you should be around them is on the court.
• 50:50
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 50:50
Speaker 5: Well, and you're not sure what the story it could
• 50:52
Speaker 5: have even been sober. You know, you don't know if
• 50:54
Speaker 5: people get their phones and you know, do things.
• 50:56
Speaker 2: So yeah, that's a deep issues.
• 51:00
Speaker 4: Even the two fun we got to close out here shortly,
• 51:02
Speaker 4: but two fun topics, So two fun questions. So this
• 51:06
Speaker 4: guy named d rich TV on Instagram he posed these
• 51:10
Speaker 4: two questions. So I asked the first one, if you
• 51:13
Speaker 4: had a son, would you rather for your son to
• 51:16
Speaker 4: play be a Division one volleyball player or a Division.
• 51:21
Speaker 2: Three basketball player. I'm gonna go Division three basketball player. Ye,
• 51:26
Speaker 2: what do you say? Whatever? I mean?
• 51:27
Speaker 5: I like basketball, I would go Division three basketball.
• 51:30
Speaker 4: See I'm saying Division one volleyball because here's my thoughts.
• 51:35
Speaker 4: If you're going particularly Division three basketball, that means you
• 51:39
Speaker 4: lack the skill and you probably lack the metric because
• 51:42
Speaker 4: you're not even getting Division two or junior college pond
• 51:48
Speaker 4: in your Division one. I mean, but but but I
• 51:50
Speaker 4: say it, but but here's the thing. If you're going
• 51:52
Speaker 4: Division three, you lack the metric and you lack the
• 51:55
Speaker 4: skill set probably or you're very very very deficient in
• 51:58
Speaker 4: the metric and have some skill set, so you have
• 52:00
Speaker 4: a lack. If you're a Division one athlete, normally you
• 52:04
Speaker 4: have the metric and you have but you're playing volleyball.
• 52:10
Speaker 4: I just don't know how many how many young boys
• 52:16
Speaker 4: are out there looking to play volleyball.
• 52:19
Speaker 7: ESPN schedule to see when the next volleyball. You don't
• 52:22
  Speaker 7: see much.
• 52:23
Speaker 4: You got beach volleyball. That's huge, and you got no,
• 52:28
Speaker 4: it's dude too. And then and then you have an Olympics.
• 52:37
Speaker 2: Then you have the Olympics as opportunity. They're that good
• 52:40
Speaker 2: they can play the Olympics.
• 52:41
Speaker 9: I'm going to tell you right now, those guys, those
• 52:43
Speaker 9: guys get into volleyball because they know the women that
• 52:46
  Speaker 9: are playing also.
• 52:49
Speaker 4: And here's the thing. Have you ever been to a
• 52:51
Speaker 4: men's volleyball game? You see ussy Charleston has a men's
• 52:55
Speaker 4: volleyball team. Them dudes jump out of the sky. Oh
• 52:59
Speaker 4: there they are skywalkers. These dudes are like six six
• 53:03
Speaker 4: six eight and they are jumped. I mean they would
• 53:06
Speaker 4: dunk basketballs. I'm telling these dudes got hops. These dudes
• 53:09
Speaker 4: are super athletic. But that's a rare group of that's
• 53:12
Speaker 4: a rare group of athletes, at least here it is.
• 53:15
Speaker 2: Yeah, you know in the States.
• 53:17
Speaker 4: Everybody, everybody don't most of the kids that are going
• 53:22
Speaker 4: to be if you're going to be.
• 53:24
Speaker 2: A football player, you're we're barely fitting that.
• 53:27
Speaker 7: Do you not option out of that question?
• 53:35
Speaker 4: But I'm saying, like I'm going to Penn State. I'm
• 53:37
Speaker 4: gonna go to Miami. I'm not going Division three tracking
• 53:40
Speaker 4: those that was moles. If I'm going to go to
• 53:42
Speaker 4: the way Games, I'm going to the Clemson South Carolinas. Yea,
• 53:46
  Speaker 4: I'm going to l s U. I'm going to USC. Yeah,
• 53:50
Speaker 4: I'm going to the good campuses. So yeah, if we're
• 53:53
Speaker 4: gonna play, okay, Next question, similar question. So would you
• 53:57
Speaker 4: rather for your son to be a Division three like superstar,
• 54:03
Speaker 4: you know, very very good Hall of Fame type player,
• 54:06
Speaker 4: or would you rather for them to go Division one
• 54:08
Speaker 4: and be a bench warming basketball I want him to
• 54:11
Speaker 4: I want him. I want to start him for him.
• 54:12
Speaker 4: So you want Division three superstar, I'm.
• 54:15
Speaker 7: Going Division three all the way.
• 54:18
Speaker 4: I'm going Division one. Imagine my son going to DOUK.
• 54:22
Speaker 4: Yeah you're sitting on the bench, but we in Duke,
• 54:24
Speaker 4: we U s C. We're playing big time basketball. My mindset,
• 54:30
Speaker 4: as as as as we already had an understand I
• 54:34
Speaker 4: want I want him.
• 54:35
  Speaker 2: On the field.
• 54:35
Speaker 4: If he ain't gonna be if he ain't gonna be
• 54:37
Speaker 4: on the field, hey bro go do something else. Oh man, no,
• 54:40
Speaker 4: he could. I mean he might be four or five
• 54:42
Speaker 4: years he got five years of play. Now he might
• 54:45
Speaker 4: be a senior and player. I'm going to the good
• 54:47
  Speaker 4: games I got.
• 54:50
  Speaker 2: I'm getting.
• 54:53
Speaker 7: Worried about. Get out of it.
• 54:59
Speaker 4: I'm going to I'm that's terrible, Big George Sam, I'm there.
• 55:09
Speaker 4: We have a fun with this. That is, that is,
• 55:11
Speaker 4: and he owned it.
• 55:14
Speaker 2: I'm not. I don't want to track Division three. Ladies
• 55:19
Speaker 2: and gentlemen, I apologize by mister Lewis. We're going to
• 55:23
Speaker 2: the nice campus. He didn't he didn't really mean what
• 55:25
  Speaker 2: he says. He might get a little n I m
• 55:28
  Speaker 2: and who knows.
• 55:31
Speaker 4: Alright, Leasa, we gotta get out of here. Yeah, he's
• 55:37
Speaker 4: getting fired this week. Ladies and gentlemen, We'll be back
• 55:40
Speaker 4: again next week. Thank you for joining
