- 1:25random Heathen ramblings podcast, enjoy hail to you all
- 1:38Well, hello everybody. Hail and welcome back.
- 1:44To a different sort of layout that different sort of format.
- 1:47As you can see, still got the intro, still got the
- 1:55housekeeping type stuff that you saw already, but I'm playing
- 1:59around with how I record my solo podcasts and in-person guest
- 2:07podcast going forward. Should I ever have any?
- 2:10So hopefully for those that are watching this, you know whether
- 2:14you're getting it on YouTube or on the Spotify platform.
- 2:19Hopefully this is an enjoyable thing.
- 2:22I might have to play Around a little bit with the lighting,
- 2:24but I kind of like the dark Ambience.
- 2:30You got my incense burner over here, which I am about to
- 2:33actually go ahead and light because it's not going to be a
- 2:40very in-depth podcast today. I just have one thing on my
- 2:44mind, I always say that, right? I always say that it's not going
- 2:46to be a long one and then it turns out, you know, to be a
- 2:51Regularly scheduled program regular length program, second
- 2:55to stay. I think it might need a little
- 3:01touch on the side. This is a cedar Aroma that were
- 3:05burning today. Here we go, more satisfied with
- 3:09that. Okay, this is a cedar Aroma that
- 3:12were burning today because I thought that it would be a great
- 3:17Aroma to usher in the Autumn season.
- 3:25Where, fastly approaching what Here in the northern hemisphere.
- 3:31A lot of folks acknowledged as the fall or Autumn Equinox or
- 3:37Solstice or what have you. So we've got we actually just
- 3:41this past weekend. We just had the full moon for
- 3:46this month. So you know the nights have been
- 3:49getting cooler the days of me getting still warm but not as
- 3:52oppressively humid or you know hot in that way.
- 3:56And I felt like you know Cedar Was a good.
- 4:01Was a good one too to bring in to the podcast too kind of Usher
- 4:06in that you know time of welcoming in the days of
- 4:12darkness here. Today with me I got actually got
- 4:17this brand-new cup that I'm really digging.
- 4:21This was made by the Elvis here. Workshop, who supplies so much
- 4:25of the accoutrements that you see around me including this
- 4:29incense burner The drum in the back, the little Hammer rattle
- 4:33that you see in some of the other items that you might have
- 4:38seen or have had our, I've had featured in other podcasts, and
- 4:43other my video content on the midgard, musings YouTube
- 4:45channel. But needless to say, this is
- 4:49phenomenal. This is my new daily drinking
- 4:51vessel right now. It's just got some tea in it.
- 4:58But this is a cup that can be used for as a says, hot and cold
- 5:02beverages. This is a cold beverage for
- 5:06right now. It's cold tea, but I've also got
- 5:09my Scotch here. Don't worry, we never podcast
- 5:13without it unless the occasion or the, or the place calls for
- 5:18something of a less alcoholic nature.
- 5:21So want to talk about that here in just a moment. and kind of
- 5:27give you guys something to look forward to I've coming.
- 5:32So at the time of this podcast being recorded, I am in the week
- 5:35of looking forward to welcome. The gentleman who has been a
- 5:42longtime supporter and follower of my channel, midgard musings.
- 5:47And by default, of course, a follower and a guest also on the
- 5:51random, even removes podcast. So my good friend from Missouri.
- 5:54Patrick Walsh will actually be coming out this week and if
- 5:58you're watching this podcast, he will be arriving.
- 6:00Tomorrow from from Missouri. And we got a really nice and
- 6:05exciting and fun podcast that we're going to be having in
- 6:09person at the bar field Crescent Park.
- 6:13We're going to be recording their.
- 6:14He's going to be talking about his high long experience, so
- 6:19really excited to hear him. Talk about that in front of all
- 6:23of us and do this. This podcast, not in this
- 6:28backdrop, but in the backdrop of Of nature, at least, you know,
- 6:32the park as it were. So because it is a, you know, a
- 6:36place of public happenings and things people come and go with
- 6:41their families and stuff. We cannot have alcoholic
- 6:43beverages at the park, so I will not be able to partake of
- 6:48scotch, but I will have my cup or, or a, or a, or a horn or of
- 6:54sorts with other beverages of refreshments and things.
- 6:58So we'll definitely be partaking of the non-alcoholic drinks, but
- 7:03That's for next week. As long as I'm in the confines,
- 7:06in the safety of my home by will drink and partake as I see fit.
- 7:13but yeah, this is again, just kind of like a New and different
- 7:17thing. I'm, you know, trying to figure
- 7:21out The future of the podcast and how I'm going to be
- 7:25recording stuff. I've got some really neat things
- 7:28that that other people have helped add to the podcast.
- 7:31In terms of like, outro content things that are going to be
- 7:34added to the end of this video, which I'm going to be playing
- 7:36around with today. So I'm rambling on about stuff
- 7:40that doesn't really matter to you folks.
- 7:41So what are we going to be talking about today?
- 7:47we're going to be talking about, Letting go.
- 7:53We're moving in again to the darker times where the sun does
- 7:58not have as much time in our skies as as it usually does.
- 8:04Of course, we're hitting into that longer nights shorter days
- 8:08time of year as as it happens every year.
- 8:11And so we're I'm at least experiencing some things.
- 8:15And now that one might say are dark times, you know, moving
- 8:21into Dark Times. But at the same time, they are
- 8:26necessary happening. Say, unnecessary things to allow
- 8:31for old things to die, in new things to, to be burnt to be
- 8:35birth or born and manifested as it were.
- 8:41So again, there's this like this, there's a conundrum to it
- 8:43all with, you know, allowing things to grow while also
- 8:47letting things die. And and one of the things that
- 8:51is hard for me as of late that I wanted to just kind of talk
- 8:54through today and talk about today is, you know, letting go
- 8:58of the things that you feel you have invested so much into
- 9:05whether it be physical growth of things, you know, whether you've
- 9:10tended to, you know, crops or built a structure or any other
- 9:16sort of, you know, tangible physical things, you know, there
- 9:21are times, are there come there comes a time or there comes
- 9:25times even wear All of the work that you've put into something
- 9:32all of the effort that you put into something is not reaping
- 9:35the reward. It's not bringing forth the
- 9:40fruit that you so desperately want to have it produce.
- 9:46It's not achieving the goals that you set despite your best
- 9:51efforts, despite all of your hard work and so one has to sit
- 9:56back and decide. Okay, well, do I do, what is it?
- 9:59Because I'm doing It wrong, right?
- 10:00Is it? Because I'm maybe not watering
- 10:03things enough and maybe it's because I'm using the wrong
- 10:04number. Is it?
- 10:05You know, is, am I doing something wrong or have?
- 10:08I checked all my boxes, have I dotted.
- 10:10All my eyes if I crossed all my T's and is the failure to
- 10:14produce due to other things that are on the other party side,
- 10:21right? Is it because it's just not
- 10:25meant to be, you know? Like no matter how much I want
- 10:27to grow coconuts. If I live in Canada, I'm just
- 10:32not going to be able to grow coconuts despite my best
- 10:34efforts. The ground is just not
- 10:37conducive, it's not rich enough, it's not climate, you know,
- 10:41climate speaking climate wise. It is not conducive to growing a
- 10:46tropical plant when you're in a Northern environment, right?
- 10:52So are the things that we are doing the things that I'm doing
- 10:56despite my best efforts, right? It's just not conducive, it's
- 10:59just not working. And I think some of the hardest
- 11:02decisions that we have to make when we sever those ties, when
- 11:07we cut loose, from the thing that we've put so much time into
- 11:11that one of the hardest moments that we reach is realizing that
- 11:17I can't do any, I can't do anything else.
- 11:19I can't, I want it to work and it's just not meant to be, it's
- 11:24just not working, you know. I think that so much of myself
- 11:29at least as a, the kind of pagan that I am right, is that I I
- 11:38believe that we have that, I have a lot of control in the
- 11:42here and now I have I feel like I have a lot of say, so in the
- 11:48way things pan out and I'm and I'm going to be very transparent
- 11:55and very real with you guys here today in the sense that that is
- 11:59not always the right way to You know, to think we don't have
- 12:05control over everything, we don't have control over a lot of
- 12:07things. and, That could be tough to face, that music can be tough
- 12:16to, you know, to dance to as it were.
- 12:21So the types of things that we can't control our first of all
- 12:24other people, you know? And when someone like myself,
- 12:28who is serving in a position of a leadership role within the
- 12:34Pagan Community, within my own small, Inner Circle tribe.
- 12:39It's not always, it's not about controlling things.
- 12:42It's not about Being like a being over certain things or
- 12:49certain people, but you kind of expect, right?
- 12:53When you when you lead, by example, when you do things that
- 12:56show results and when you do things that provide a result
- 13:05writer or bring about certain and goals, right?
- 13:10You you almost expect that when people see that, that that it
- 13:14inspires them to want to do the same thing.
- 13:16And so you're not necessarily controlling what other people do
- 13:18but by your deeds and by your actions, it inspires them to do
- 13:21things that align with what you're trying to accomplish.
- 13:27And that's just not always the case, not everything that you
- 13:29eat do is going to resonate with people or speak to people in a
- 13:34way that reaches that that result, right?
- 13:40No matter how much we try, no matter how much we we aim to do
- 13:43that and that's kind of where things are at for me, with my
- 13:46tribe, right? Working hard to build something
- 13:50working hard to, I guess, you know, And I've always said and
- 13:54I, you know, if you listen to any of my podcast or anything on
- 13:57my channel, like the whole like building thing like build a
- 13:59community, build a try, building this building that, right?
- 14:03I use that term and then I always come back and I'm like,
- 14:06you know, I almost really hate even saying it like that because
- 14:08it seems so, you know, methodical so so mechanical, so
- 14:15non-organic. But, you know, the more I think
- 14:18about it, I think that you have to, you have to build For things
- 14:25to be a certain way. You have to have control over
- 14:28the way. Things are built, you have to
- 14:29have your hands in it, so it's not necessarily a bad thing, but
- 14:33you want to, you know, allow the thing to grow.
- 14:35You want to allow it to cultivate and you want to
- 14:38nurture it along its way so maybe nurturing and helping the
- 14:41grow is better. But there is definitely I think
- 14:44part the more I, you know, think about it there there's more to
- 14:50be said about the whole building thing then I met The alluded to
- 14:54in the past. So building Community Building
- 14:56tribe, nurturing that growth I've really faced a lot of
- 15:03challenges recently where the growth is stunted and the growth
- 15:08is sometimes being choked out by weeds and things and and
- 15:14sometimes you got to get in there and you got to hack out,
- 15:17you know, chop down some of that, some of that bad growth or
- 15:21some of that, you know. You got to, you got to weed the
- 15:26garden and inevitably, if it's gotten so overgrown, if it's
- 15:31gotten. So choked up with the weeds.
- 15:33You know, sometimes you just got to go in there and just start
- 15:36from scratch. Just just go in there and some
- 15:39say, I'm done with trying to save this plant and done with
- 15:43trying to save this. I just need to tear it down,
- 15:45pull it out, rip it out and start from scratch.
- 15:51And we are in a spot, we have it.
- 15:55And we have kind of reached the position.
- 15:57My tribes early folk, have reached a position where, you
- 16:01know, certain elements are certain aspects of our tribe
- 16:04have needed to be. Ripped out removed.
- 16:13And maybe I did maybe a harsh comparison to what I mean by
- 16:18ripping out. It's not like you know, we're
- 16:19going in there and violently just saying getting it out of
- 16:22here, be done with it. But we're reading the writing on
- 16:24the wall, we're seeing the signs and we're reading the Omens and
- 16:28we're going, okay? It's time to.
- 16:33Move on. I recently saw something.
- 16:37And on the funny enough it was on the The Lord of the Rings,
- 16:41the rings of power Series on Amazon, which if anybody's kind
- 16:45of caught that recently and been watching it.
- 16:48The last episode episode 3 was the episode that introduced us
- 16:53to the island Kingdom of númenor.
- 16:58So, I'm not going to give away like spoilers or whatever but
- 17:02there's a line In this most recent episode.
- 17:08Which made me think, right? There's these people are island.
- 17:12People, they live on an island and the sea is a big part of
- 17:21their culture, big part of their life and it made me think of the
- 17:25northern European Scandinavian people where the sea was so much
- 17:29a part of their life where they would sail and go and just, you
- 17:32know, discover any places raid, right?
- 17:35All of these various things that they spent time on the sea.
- 17:38But this line in this, this episode made me think about its
- 17:43application and other aspects of life in the line was like, the
- 17:48sea is always right? You know what, I got to thinking
- 17:53how you could you could apply that to so much of Nature and
- 17:57the wild, you know, the forest is always right.
- 18:01The river is always right, the trail is always right, the
- 18:04mountain, the valley, the Desert Hills there, it is always right,
- 18:10which is to say that as much as we are, a part of these
- 18:15environments, and as much as we put ourselves into these spaces
- 18:19to write, You know, reconnect and in get back to Our Roots,
- 18:27our Primal primordial Roots, we are still at the whim of
- 18:33whatever happens out there, storm pops up, right?
- 18:36At reek falls down a wild animal comes across our path, right?
- 18:40The wild is always right. Because the wild has no order, I
- 18:46mean it does, but it doesn't. There the the sense of order,
- 18:48the order of Tribes the structure of like Civilization
- 18:53the the way Society over centuries.
- 18:56Over Millennia is have have developed the order of the Wild
- 19:02and the law of the jungle. As it were is, it's much more
- 19:06fluid and it just, it goes with what it goes with.
- 19:10And we when we, when we enter into that space and when we go
- 19:15out and we Adventure off into these places, we are, we've got
- 19:19to play by those rules. There is You know, you don't
- 19:22just like, you know, the sea is becoming boisterous.
- 19:28Writer this he's becoming a storm, you can't just say, hold
- 19:31on, hold on a minute. Let me let me let me lower my
- 19:33sales. Let me you know anchor, let me
- 19:37adjust my settings. Let me do something to hold on,
- 19:40just a minute. Give me a minute.
- 19:41No you are now in the middle of it.
- 19:43You know you walk through the trails or you walk through the
- 19:46river, you climb the mountains and you you know, encounter
- 19:49something you don't just tell her.
- 19:50A bear. Hold on a second.
- 19:52Let me get up this tree. Let me give me a 50-yard Head
- 19:54Start before you, you know, come and mow my guts out, the see the
- 19:59wild, the the winds that the storm.
- 20:02It's always, right. And it kind of goes back to the
- 20:07whole like what is right? And what is wrong?
- 20:09I mean, When a storm comes up, when I went a wild animal
- 20:13encounter as you and, you know, looks to you looks at you as, as
- 20:18their prey, or if you trip and you fall.
- 20:21And you and you hurt yourself out there because of, you know,
- 20:24uneven ground. It's all these things that is
- 20:27right for the wild, the wild is always, right.
- 20:30It's not right for you doesn't doesn't bode well for you to
- 20:34encounter, you know, these things and have to put up with
- 20:39it and have to deal with it, but that is what we must do.
- 20:41We must deal with it. And sometimes, you know, how
- 20:47does this? How does this fit into what I'm
- 20:48trying to say, you know, here and now with with, you know,
- 20:53things going on with with tribe or to try building or tribe
- 20:57cultivating and where, you know, I'm still trying to figure all
- 21:03that out because it's more metaphorical than literal.
- 21:09But there are storms that come through and there are things
- 21:11that come through that cause disruption in the flow of
- 21:15things, and some of us in positions of leadership that and
- 21:20within our communities, it is up to us and people look to us as
- 21:27What's going to happen to us, what's going to happen to this
- 21:30group? What are we?
- 21:31What are we going to do? And what are you going to do to
- 21:36you know, address this? Now, in I think a strong tribal
- 21:45unit, yes, those leaders are look to.
- 21:49And then, at the same time, the people that are in that
- 21:52established group band together, they come together and it's not
- 21:57just on one person to fix the issue.
- 21:59It is on everybody to fix the issue.
- 22:03Right? The storm comes through, it's
- 22:04not just on the chieftain to batten down the hatches, you
- 22:08know, everybody chips in and everybody secure.
- 22:10Things down. And everybody gets ready for the
- 22:11storm that is coming. And that happens, the reason
- 22:19that happens is because the trust that is established
- 22:22between members of that tribe, the the fifth bond that has been
- 22:28established. The obligation that is
- 22:32established between not just members of the tribe of between
- 22:36the chieftain in their tribe members and the tribe members
- 22:38and their Chieftain and the other, you know, leaders of the
- 22:41of the of the group or whatever, however, you know, whatever the
- 22:43tribal structure, whatever the Organizational structure of the
- 22:48of the building or the unit is, I should say, whatever that
- 22:52might be, you know? Yes, you look to your leaders to
- 22:56lead, but then you're also knowing that I'm going to be a
- 22:59part of this equation. I'm going to be working.
- 23:02And when you don't have that, when people don't step up, and
- 23:05when people don't, you know, work on on things together as a
- 23:10unit, then you are often faced with, you know, decisions to be
- 23:14like, well what are you doing here?
- 23:15Then if you're not going to band together with the rest of the
- 23:18group and you're going to just be out there flying solo and
- 23:21being you know, a Maverick and being You know the the captain
- 23:27of your own ship, you know, isolated on your own Island,
- 23:30then the tribe then has no use for those types and I think
- 23:35there's a very fine line between knowing the importance of
- 23:41industriousness and being capable of handling stuff on
- 23:44your own. There's a fine line between that
- 23:47and then being on your own and not having anything to do with
- 23:51the tribe and the tribe not having anything to do with you.
- 23:54That is dangerous that when it when it when it leans on the
- 23:58ladder example that I just gave where yes you are strong as an
- 24:01individual but you're isolated as an individual, you have
- 24:04nothing to do with the group and as the unit that that's
- 24:09dangerous, your people can't rely on you.
- 24:13And then you therefore are not reliable and you can't rely on
- 24:17them to help you out. So when when things happen,
- 24:19right? Where makes it manifests, we're
- 24:21okay, I'm not, I'm not a part of this anymore.
- 24:23I can't be a I don't want to be a part of this.
- 24:27That could be, that's kind of where things are at for us.
- 24:30Right now, are for me, at least, is that?
- 24:32But I've put so much work into this already.
- 24:34I've done so much, you know, I've I, you know, I have so much
- 24:40invested into this, you know, how could I possibly walk away
- 24:43from this? How could I possibly let this
- 24:45thing be the, the end of it all, or at least the seeming end of
- 24:51it. It's tough.
- 24:54It is. It's tough to separate yourself.
- 24:57Withdraw yourself from that, but it, I think it's necessary.
- 25:00And I think it goes back to where I was talking earlier
- 25:04about how, you know, getting into the times of darkness and
- 25:07preparing for the times of Darkness.
- 25:09Its We need to, we need to kind of band together who we have
- 25:14available to us. We need to band together, we
- 25:16need to hunker down, we need to get ready for those dark times.
- 25:18And during that during those, those months of darkness of
- 25:23during that time of darkness, and during that time, where
- 25:26there's not a whole lot going on, we can regroup, we can, we
- 25:31can come up with the the next steps and we can be active in
- 25:35that way. You know, may not be time to get
- 25:39out there and go on. A lot of, you know, Shares are
- 25:41do a lot of physical work but there's a lot of inner work that
- 25:46needs to be done and I think that that's kind of what's
- 25:48important about the timing of things where we are as a, where
- 25:55we are as individuals where we are as a tribe and and seeing
- 26:00that growth through to the next stage making it through.
- 26:06The dark ones welcoming in. Right.
- 26:11The, the winter nights and the winter months and tending to the
- 26:17Hearth fires tending to the things that are close in nearest
- 26:20and dearest to us. And letting letting go of those
- 26:27things that have served their purpose that have run their
- 26:32course, that have given everything that we can get out
- 26:36of them, right? and if we give, give give give
- 26:48Without receiving anything in return, if the reciprocity the
- 26:52gifting cycle gave of none of that is occurring.
- 26:56Then that is a telling Tale in and of itself, right?
- 27:00If we are, if we are Not. Receiving in return, the gifts
- 27:07that we've given. Then it is time to stop.
- 27:15You can't expect things to happen on a one-way Street,
- 27:19you're only going to be moving in a in a single single file
- 27:22single line. There's none of this exchange
- 27:25taking place and what's really interesting at least, for me,
- 27:32and for our tribe right now, or, you know, in recent times is
- 27:36that the reciprocity does exist and it is coming through in ways
- 27:43that I would not have initially expected, you know, I would not
- 27:46have expected to be engaging in the, the gifting cycle in the
- 27:52ways that I have been, you know, Having Patrick coming out, you
- 28:00know this this man has spoken so well in myself of midgard
- 28:07musings and talking about how you know the information that
- 28:10he's gathered from what I do. Has been such like, you know, an
- 28:15influence for him and it's humbling.
- 28:18It is it is genuinely touching to know that.
- 28:25Sitting in front of a camera for hours and days and whatever,
- 28:29cumulative time, spent over the years, has impacted somebody.
- 28:34And then, in a in reciprocity and in giving, back in a way,
- 28:40it's not just well, great, you know, you enjoy what I do and
- 28:44you know, sharing what I know. And it's benefiting you in a
- 28:46way, but to give something tangible to the man to haul to
- 28:50offer shelter, to provide lodging to do the very thing.
- 28:55Our ancient ancestors would have done in ancient times that, you
- 29:00know, provide a place of Refuge, you know, a roof over their head
- 29:05and travel to do that. Very thing that to me is like a
- 29:08great way to show. Thanks, and to give a gift in
- 29:13return. Yeah, sure.
- 29:15I may have been able to be of a positive influence for you, you
- 29:21know, in your life. Now, let me repay you in.
- 29:24Thanks. By giving you a place to sleep
- 29:27and giving you food to eat and giving you drink and giving you
- 29:31time to spend in giving you a lot of these things, right?
- 29:33That are so meaningful that you can build a real relationship
- 29:38out of. I never would have thought that
- 29:40this would have happened this way other ways.
- 29:48JM fourth order of Saint, you know, be over to your Workshop.
- 29:52This man has been Whether he knows it or not kind of like a
- 29:57mentor and a, you know, he's said the same thing to me and in
- 30:02the sense that you know, a lot of what I've done, has helped
- 30:05him and we've helped each other and so there's there's exchange
- 30:08of knowledge as exchange of time counsel.
- 30:12There's there's exchange of physical Goods of the of time of
- 30:18all these things, right? It's a living example.
- 30:23Of how reciprocity transcends just physical gifts, right?
- 30:30You give me this. I give you that.
- 30:32It goes so far beyond that and it and it is stablish has, and
- 30:37builds a really strong bond between folks, you know, and it
- 30:45helps to I think assuage some of the anguish that comes along
- 30:49with letting go of things that you've spent so much time.
- 30:53Like, oh man, I spent so many years working on this pot.
- 30:56Now, I gotta break it. And now here comes a cup that
- 31:00serves a much better purpose you know that that fulfills a much
- 31:05greater need that. You can focus your efforts and
- 31:09your time and your energy and all that on.
- 31:12So you know it's a I'm going to I'm going to use like an example
- 31:17of just Maybe it fits, maybe it doesn't, but I'm going to say
- 31:21it, you know, a couple of weeks ago, I'm you know, I do these
- 31:24Riverwalk side, go out Barefoot in the in the in nature and I
- 31:28get my feet, my bare feet, connected and grounded and
- 31:31anchored back into the Earth and I received those energy time and
- 31:34I'm revitalized and I have this walking stick that I was using.
- 31:37And it broke right? It snapped in half almost and it
- 31:41served its purpose and it was almost hard, right?
- 31:43Yeah. It's just a stick.
- 31:44You can find another one, right? But it's the whole like I've
- 31:49walked. Miles with this thing.
- 31:50I've swam with this thing. I've gone places with this thing
- 31:53that now I can't go anymore. But I had to let it go.
- 31:58They it's done. It's served its purpose.
- 32:00I let it go and it sent it down the river in the river, current
- 32:04carries it to wherever it ends up to fulfill.
- 32:08Its next purpose. All right, it's not going to.
- 32:10Its next purpose is not going to be to provide stability when
- 32:13walking, but it's next purpose is going to be to provide, you
- 32:17know, structure or materials for perhaps, you know, a river
- 32:22creature or something to to build a shelter with or it's
- 32:25going to decrease. Suppose, it's going to return
- 32:27back into the Earth from whence it came.
- 32:29And it's going to Again, the whole gifting cycle.
- 32:33I think it the way it works. And that way, if you think about
- 32:35it, it completes the cycle. So in the literal sense I've
- 32:44recently had to let go of things that I've put some effort into
- 32:48and that have gone with me in ways that I can't ever forget.
- 32:54Metaphorically. I have had to let go of things
- 32:57and let go of relationships in a way that have hurt to do so,
- 33:02because That's it that that has served its purpose, it's run,
- 33:09its course. Now the neat thing about it
- 33:12right? Is that you know, some of these
- 33:13types of things, some of these, like, relationships and affairs
- 33:17with, you know, tribal members and whatnot.
- 33:22I don't feel like it. Those types of things are like,
- 33:26well, never going to see that person again.
- 33:27They're going to encounter that person again, but I think the
- 33:30next encounter the next stage of things, should it ever happen is
- 33:34going to be so much different because of that rebirth, because
- 33:39of that, renewal because of that recycle stage.
- 33:44If it does, if it happens, if it doesn't, then it truly has, you
- 33:47know, run its course. And there is nothing left for us
- 33:51to be a part of, you know, I do I try not to dwell on that
- 33:57because again, the more I think about, you know, the specifics
- 34:00of it all in the more I think about You know, the hurt or the
- 34:09anguish of letting go, right? You can get lost in that, you
- 34:12can get really, you can get stuck in that you get muck, you
- 34:15know, stuck in the muck. You really get bogged down into
- 34:18all that noise. And if you're bogged down, if
- 34:23you're, if you're stuck in the mud, you're not moving forward,
- 34:26you're becoming stagnant and you're letting that thing, be
- 34:30the thing to control and Rule grow, you know, and prevent
- 34:35ultimately prevent growth from happening.
- 34:39So, a certain points and I've been at, and at a point it's
- 34:44important to recognize and understand you have to let go.
- 34:49Learn what you can out of the whole thing, right, which I
- 34:53have. I've I've taken a lot of long
- 34:57hard looks at myself because I am the last person to let
- 35:03anything go, because I feel like there's something to salvage.
- 35:06Because, again, I feel like I got control.
- 35:08I have some sort of, I have to have some sort of control over
- 35:12the situation, right? I have to be able to say that,
- 35:13I've done everything that I can and if I haven't then I've
- 35:17failed and I And learned everything that I can out of it.
- 35:20But it, you know, sometimes you need outside, third-party
- 35:25perspectives to be like, hey man, you know, you're kind of
- 35:28beating a dead horse here. You're trying to do more than
- 35:32what is Warranted. You, you're you need to step
- 35:38away. You need to move on.
- 35:41It's hard. At least it's hard for me.
- 35:44May be hard for a lot of us. But don't feel like you're being
- 35:50remiss. When you let go, don't feel like
- 35:53you're not giving it your all When you walk away.
- 36:02I think so much what's wrong in our society now is that guilt
- 36:05culture Reigns and runs rampant this hole.
- 36:15Yeah. Guilt culture, cancel culture.
- 36:17There's a lot of things that are happening now in modern time,
- 36:21the way our culture has evolved and stuff is is to put the blame
- 36:26on people when There's no blame to be given.
- 36:35It's a fine line, because I think that there's also some
- 36:37people and some approaches to things that remove
- 36:42responsibilities and remove accountability.
- 36:48Not a lot of people are accountable of themselves, not a
- 36:53lot of people are responsible themselves.
- 36:54They want to put the blame on others, for the reason why
- 36:56things suck, why the things why things are bad and why they feel
- 37:00the way they feel. There's a lot of I think people
- 37:03who have gotten. Or allowed I should say that.
- 37:10There's a lot of people that'll have allowed their trauma to
- 37:14rule their decisions and run and run and ruin their decisions and
- 37:18ruin their relationships. Now, I'm not saying that people
- 37:22who have experienced trauma of any sort are not justified in
- 37:26feeling the way they feel. What I'm saying is that it is up
- 37:30to us, as individuals, it is up to us to not allow that trauma
- 37:35two be the reasons that we're bunch of assholes, you know,
- 37:46that that is, that is tough. And that's a tough place to be.
- 37:49That's a tough play. Tough place to find ourselves in
- 37:51man. But be accountable for
- 37:56yourselves, be accountable for ourselves, right.
- 37:59Take up our Responsibilities to be better to be the best version
- 38:06of ourselves. We possibly can be and that
- 38:08doesn't mean that you're going to be the best every single day.
- 38:11Doesn't mean that we're going to be the best of our version of
- 38:13ourselves. Every single day, there's going
- 38:15to be days where we really do suck in.
- 38:17There's going to be days where we really feel like we just
- 38:19don't amount to much and it's okay to not be okay.
- 38:23It's okay to feel those feelings.
- 38:27But I think everything again, everything in context, right?
- 38:31Take care of it, address it, And that's going to be another
- 38:37thing. I think that we talked about on
- 38:39next week's podcast me and Patrick because this this kind
- 38:43of touches on, you know, mental health.
- 38:45No, it doesn't kind of touch on mental.
- 38:47It, absolutely touches on mental health, and I think Patrick is
- 38:50going to be able to, really provide some dialogue between
- 38:55the two of us that when we're sitting there getting ready for
- 38:58our Park mood while he's here in Tennessee, we're going to be
- 39:02able to talk about that and we're not going to have like a
- 39:04time limit on things. We're going to we're going to
- 39:06do. Ramble On too.
- 39:08However, long we want to ramble for it's going to probably be
- 39:11one of the longer podcast episodes.
- 39:12I think that are going to be released here, so just be ready
- 39:18for that. It could be, you know, an hour
- 39:20and a half, two hours long, we're not sure yet, we don't
- 39:22know, but we're not going to put a time limit on it.
- 39:24We're not going to stop just because it's, you know, I mean
- 39:27we do we will have the parking to consider so I mean if we
- 39:30start recording, it's, you know, 3-4 hours moving the oh crap,
- 39:33you know, we got it ready for our guests to arrive.
- 39:36But No, I think there's a lot of things to be said with regards
- 39:43to all of this, right? So Patrick you can be seeing
- 39:46this podcast before, you know, you come out here or whatever.
- 39:51That's what we're going to be talking about, man.
- 39:53We're going to be actually talking about it later this
- 39:56week. Well, we're going to be
- 39:59recording it later this week. And then you guys are going to
- 40:02see it next week. So prepare for the dark times,
- 40:11let go, there are things that are coming into this season for
- 40:17a lot of us. That are going to require us to.
- 40:25Withdraw, maybe disconnect. And just let go.
- 40:31Let go of that broken staff, man.
- 40:36You've walked along many roads. You've traveled many miles.
- 40:43You know, it's time to, it's time to cash it in.
- 40:46It's time to cash out. Maybe it's time to move on.
- 40:51It's time to let go and letting go doesn't always mean a bad
- 40:56thing. It's not inherently bad to let
- 40:58go. It's not inherently bad to say,
- 41:00I'm done. It's just what we got to do,
- 41:03sometimes, right? So that is today's ramblings.
- 41:15I think that's all I really wanted to say.
- 41:17I hope you all enjoyed again. The kind of different layout the
- 41:20different format. I'll figure out the lighting
- 41:23situation a little bit better for future podcast, but I think
- 41:26that the the the Ambiance that set in the minimal lighting
- 41:31right now is good anyway but I hope you did enjoy it.
