- 0:00Speaker 1: Brought to you by the reinvented two thousand twelve camera.
- 0:03Speaker 1: It's ready. Are you welcome to Stuff You Should Know?
- 0:08Speaker 1: From House Stuff Works dot Com? Hey, and welcome to
- 0:11Speaker 1: the podcast. I'm Josh Clark with me as always as
- 0:14Speaker 1: one Mr Charles W. Luscious Bryant, we call him Chuckers.
- 0:19Speaker 1: He calls me to come to his head and this
- 0:21Speaker 1: is stuff you should know. Welcome. How's it going, Chuck, dude?
- 0:25Speaker 1: That may be the best intro ever. Thank you. It's
- 0:28Speaker 1: the fact that I'm not wearing pants right now. I
- 0:30Speaker 1: think I feel very free and easy, compass head and
- 0:33Speaker 1: a little sweaty. Actually okay, then, so, Chuck, have you
- 0:37Speaker 1: ever had warts? Did you have warts when your kid um?
- 0:39Speaker 1: I have had two incidences of warts. Currently, I have
- 0:44Speaker 1: a wart on my uh, sort of near my knee
- 0:48Speaker 1: and it's been there a long time and it's not
- 0:50Speaker 1: one of those real gnarly ones. It sticks up, you know,
- 0:52Speaker 1: out into the universe. It's like pretty small and not
- 0:55Speaker 1: a big deal. And then I had planners wards when
- 0:58Speaker 1: I was like fifteen. Have you ever had those? No?
- 1:02Speaker 1: I have? These are the war dude, It's awful. Did
- 1:05Speaker 1: they hurt really, really painful. Yeah, they grow up into
- 1:10Speaker 1: your foot instead of out. And I think I caught
- 1:13Speaker 1: it from my brother because he had it and when
- 1:15Speaker 1: he was at Georgia Tech. Brother was dirty, dirty, dirty Scott.
- 1:18Speaker 1: And uh it was the handsome one that Christina Ricci likes.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Oh yeah, like a male model, that guy. Um, it
- 1:25Speaker 1: was great growing up in a shadow too, because he's
- 1:27Speaker 1: like way smarter than me and slam and trim. It's
- 1:30Speaker 1: great anyway. Uh and happy birthday by the way to
- 1:34Speaker 1: my brother. Oh, happy birthday, Scott, and uh Molly Edmonds,
- 1:38Speaker 1: Happy birthday, Molly Fellow writer that aside, I had planners
- 1:42Speaker 1: words and it's really really painful, and I had them
- 1:44Speaker 1: burned off and that was painful. Yeah, with the frozen
- 1:48Speaker 1: liquid nitrogen. Yes, I have been through that experience too. Yeah.
- 1:52Speaker 1: I had warts on like my fingers on my elbows
- 1:55Speaker 1: here there when I was a kid. Yeah, every once
- 1:58Speaker 1: in a while, like they just kind of pop up,
- 2:00Speaker 1: and my mom would be like, let's go to the
- 2:02Speaker 1: I guess the dermatologists and quit picking up frogs. Yeah,
- 2:06Speaker 1: we told that, not quite. I had a pretty good story.
- 2:09Speaker 1: But yes, I have heard that toads specifically, cause wards
- 2:15Speaker 1: I've heard that as well, that's not true, but it's
- 2:17Speaker 1: not let's start. Let's well, so wow, wow, every bit
- 2:21Speaker 1: is segue just fell away like you just you just
- 2:24Speaker 1: got rid of an entire page of this article with that.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Well that's because we don't plan this stuff out. What
- 2:29Speaker 1: do you want to talk about? Australia? Okay, alright, So
- 2:34Speaker 1: Australia has a pretty big problem right now, right, probably
- 2:38Speaker 1: more than one. But this this one we're talking about
- 2:41Speaker 1: is well, yeah, they're in the grip of like a
- 2:43Speaker 1: horrible drought still aren't aren't they? And it's hitting their
- 2:47Speaker 1: bread basket to basket. Um, yeah, what they have? This
- 2:52Speaker 1: one problem is with the giant Kane toad Buffo marinus.
- 2:57Speaker 1: And I love that buffo. It sounds like a giant
- 3:00Speaker 1: Kane toad name right, So these things get to be
- 3:03Speaker 1: like two pounds, which is pretty substantial for a toad.
- 3:06Speaker 1: That would scare me. Well back in n um the
- 3:10Speaker 1: the the Australian government imported a hundred and one uh
- 3:15Speaker 1: giant kane toads from Hawaii. I love that it was
- 3:18Speaker 1: one on one. Yeah, It's like they gathered a hundred
- 3:20Speaker 1: and then there must have been like one lucky frog day. Yeah,
- 3:22Speaker 1: they're like, you come to come on, let's go to Australia,
- 3:24Speaker 1: kid um. So yeah, they imported him to Queensland from Hawaii.
- 3:29Speaker 1: And actually these things are indigenous to Central and South America,
- 3:32Speaker 1: but apparently they can live in Hawaii to right. Um.
- 3:36Speaker 1: And they they the reason they imported him was to
- 3:39Speaker 1: fight this um giant cane beetle. No, not giant cane beetle,
- 3:43Speaker 1: just to play an old cane beetle. Uh. And apparently
- 3:46Speaker 1: giant kane toads like to eat cane beetles, makes sense.
- 3:49Speaker 1: So the Australia had a big infestation in their crop
- 3:52Speaker 1: lands with these cane beetles, so they imported the giant
- 3:55Speaker 1: kane toads, and the giant kane toads did absolutely nothing
- 3:58Speaker 1: to eradicate the cane beetle. Right. I think a lot
- 4:01Speaker 1: of times when you introduce a species and non native
- 4:04Speaker 1: species to an area thinking it will accomplish some feet,
- 4:08Speaker 1: it usually ends up backfiring. Yeah. Oh definitely, kind of
- 4:11Speaker 1: like kudzoo here in the South. Yeah, but that one
- 4:13Speaker 1: wasn't that. That was a gift actually from our Japanese friends,
- 4:17Speaker 1: thanks for that. In the thirties. Well, they keep in
- 4:19Speaker 1: order control over there, but here in the South, it
- 4:21Speaker 1: just it grows like kudzo. Right. Yeah, And for those
- 4:26Speaker 1: friends of ours who are listening that have never been
- 4:28Speaker 1: to the southeastern United States, this stuff can take over
- 4:32Speaker 1: a hundred and fifty foot tall oak and kill it
- 4:35Speaker 1: of swallow it hole. It looks like it does never
- 4:38Speaker 1: seen it looks a lot like but it also has
- 4:40Speaker 1: this kind of creepy quality, like I'm killing this tree.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Check it out. And you can't do anything to kill
- 4:46Speaker 1: this stuff, and it's out of control. So I guess
- 4:48Speaker 1: what we're trying to say is please help us, send help. Um. So, anyway,
- 4:54Speaker 1: the giant kane to did nothing to eradicate the cane beetle.
- 4:57Speaker 1: And even worse, they apparently are olific lovers because since
- 5:03Speaker 1: that hundred and one original cane toads turned into the billions,
- 5:07Speaker 1: there are billions of cane toads in Australia now literally
- 5:10Speaker 1: overran the entire country. Yeah, in continent. Here's the most
- 5:14Speaker 1: unsettling part. They are slowly hopping toward civilization Perth and
- 5:21Speaker 1: then Sydney, And I mean, isn't that just a creepy thought.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Billions of toads like slowly coming your way? Have you
- 5:27Speaker 1: ever seen the documentary? No, there was an awesome documentary
- 5:31Speaker 1: it's really old um called Cane Toads and Unnatural History
- 5:35Speaker 1: by a documentary named Mark Lewis, and it's kind of
- 5:38Speaker 1: one of these classic documentaries. Yes, we're like Grey Gardens
- 5:41Speaker 1: just taken on like this cult following Yes, which is
- 5:44Speaker 1: our producer Jerry's favorite movie of all time, Greg Gardens. Yeah, really,
- 5:48Speaker 1: you didn't know that. We've had like this conversation eight times.
- 5:51Speaker 1: I don't remember that. I just watched that this past weekend,
- 5:53Speaker 1: though for the first time I've never seen it either.
- 5:55Speaker 1: It was unsettling, I thought a bit long. And I'm
- 5:59Speaker 1: looking forward to the HBO movie starting one Miss Drew
- 6:02Speaker 1: Barrymore and one Miss Jessica Lain right right, And this
- 6:05Speaker 1: is so like such a segue. But well, let me
- 6:08Speaker 1: say this, since we're not a tangent, this is highly tangential.
- 6:13Speaker 1: And this is a tangent on a tangent. One of
- 6:15Speaker 1: my friends named bo kelly Um actually apparently had a
- 6:18Speaker 1: ring that he lent to the people who made this
- 6:22Speaker 1: HBO remake and the guy whoever the characters that plays
- 6:25Speaker 1: as the piano for the women a lot. He wears
- 6:28Speaker 1: the ring in most of these scenes. That is weird,
- 6:31Speaker 1: isn't it weird? I just found that out yesterday and
- 6:33Speaker 1: I don't know how it pertains to anything, but there
- 6:35Speaker 1: you go. Okay, So back to giant kane to billions
- 6:39Speaker 1: of them is where we left off, and they are
- 6:41Speaker 1: moving towards the big city, right and uh, the problem
- 6:44Speaker 1: is they have no natural predators right right, which is
- 6:48Speaker 1: and even worse, the the predators that are around Australia
- 6:53Speaker 1: haven't figured out that they shouldn't mess with these kane
- 6:55Speaker 1: toes because what happens is the giant kane toes are
- 6:59Speaker 1: highly toxic um. They emit a cocktail of four keene
- 7:04Speaker 1: toxins um from the warts on their back, which are
- 7:08Speaker 1: actually glands. Right, that's right, that's we should say that again.
- 7:12Speaker 1: The warts on a frog are glands. War but that's
- 7:16Speaker 1: where you get the impression that toad can give you wards. Yeah.
- 7:20Speaker 1: So anyway, so things like crocodiles, dingoes, all sorts of
- 7:23Speaker 1: other animals are being killed by picking up these giant
- 7:28Speaker 1: kane todes. You get scared, secrete this toxin, and then
- 7:30Speaker 1: all of a sudden, some alligator's belly up. And I'm
- 7:33Speaker 1: sure a two pound cane toad looks like a nice
- 7:35Speaker 1: meal for I don't think so. Yeah, we're I'm not
- 7:38Speaker 1: aware of their toxins. I need one, I cook it first,
- 7:41Speaker 1: but sure. Um So, anyway, as big a problem as
- 7:46Speaker 1: these cane toads are posing, uh the Australians right now, um,
- 7:51Speaker 1: one thing they're not going to do is cause wards.
- 7:54Speaker 1: There was our segue that you ruined earlier, but now
- 7:57Speaker 1: it's it's all good, right, Am I for given? Yeah? Okay,
- 8:01Speaker 1: So toads absolutely do not cause warts. We can say
- 8:05Speaker 1: that with factual Yeah. And you know how we know that? Um? Science? Science? Sure,
- 8:14Speaker 1: well what science has told us is that, um, since
- 8:18Speaker 1: toads don't actually have warts, they have glands, and we
- 8:22Speaker 1: know that actually it's the human Pavlova virus that causes
- 8:27Speaker 1: warts HPV, better known as hpp uh. And since toads
- 8:31Speaker 1: don't secrete HPV, toads can't give you wards. There you go. Yeah,
- 8:36Speaker 1: so that's it. Should we just pack it up? No?
- 8:38Speaker 1: Should we talk about HPV. Let's talk about HPV, which
- 8:41Speaker 1: may ring a bell for people because there was a
- 8:43Speaker 1: there's been a huge push but it was really prominent
- 8:46Speaker 1: in two thousand and six and two thousand seven to
- 8:48Speaker 1: get mandatory inoculations for young girls against HPV. Yeah, I
- 8:53Speaker 1: mean it's it's a lot of people are affected by HPV. Um.
- 8:57Speaker 1: They estimate twenty million people in the US alone are
- 9:00Speaker 1: effected with some form of HPV. And there are about
- 9:03Speaker 1: one hundred different types of HPV, right, and some of
- 9:06Speaker 1: them are worse than others, Like the HPV inoculation that
- 9:09Speaker 1: that um that the government was the state governments are
- 9:14Speaker 1: pushing forth inoculates against the strain that gives you cervical cancer,
- 9:19Speaker 1: which is the biggest threat HPV poses a person. There's
- 9:23Speaker 1: slightly lesser ones like genital awards, which won't kill you,
- 9:26Speaker 1: but it's not pleasant and good luck finding a partner
- 9:29Speaker 1: for that one. Yeah, I mean those two words together
- 9:32Speaker 1: don't make people feel good in general. That's why I
- 9:34Speaker 1: was glad you said your reward was near your knee. Yeah. Um,
- 9:39Speaker 1: so yeah, it can cause general awards, and of course
- 9:42Speaker 1: HPV can also cause good old fashioned regular awards, but
- 9:46Speaker 1: that can I say a little aside about that push
- 9:49Speaker 1: for HPV inoculations and this interesting Yeah, I think so.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Thanks for the voted confidence UM. But basically in two
- 9:58Speaker 1: thousand and six seven that huge push to get UM
- 10:02Speaker 1: girls inoculated as part of like the mom's rubella, if
- 10:06Speaker 1: you want to go to school, you have to get
- 10:08Speaker 1: an HPV inoculation. UM. At the forefront of this push
- 10:12Speaker 1: was a group called Women in Government Yes, and they
- 10:16Speaker 1: are this huge assemblage of female elected officials, which is fine,
- 10:22Speaker 1: and they took up the cause. So far, so good, right, UM.
- 10:26Speaker 1: The problem is it was revealed that a large proportion
- 10:29Speaker 1: of WHIGS funding was coming from Merk Mark's the pharmaceutical company,
- 10:36Speaker 1: and they are the only ones who have an FDA
- 10:40Speaker 1: approved HPV inoculation on the market. So if all fifty
- 10:45Speaker 1: states started passing mandatory HPV inoculation legislation, then Mark stands
- 10:50Speaker 1: again quite a bit because there's no competition for that
- 10:54Speaker 1: kind of set things back a little bit. But as
- 10:56Speaker 1: of I think the two thousand eight there are forty
- 10:58Speaker 1: one different state legislation natures that had bills on the floor,
- 11:03Speaker 1: if not already passed, mandating that girls have to get
- 11:07Speaker 1: HPV inoculations, and nineteen states have already enacted them. Good
- 11:11Speaker 1: enough there, so the same thing that can give you
- 11:13Speaker 1: cervical cancer can also give you wards. Right. Most people
- 11:17Speaker 1: can walk around with HPV and not even know it,
- 11:19Speaker 1: may not even have common wards. Right, but if you
- 11:22Speaker 1: do get common wars, what's what's going on there? Chuck? Well,
- 11:25Speaker 1: I mean usually their words are going to be on
- 11:27Speaker 1: your hands and fingers. Um. And aside from the way
- 11:30Speaker 1: it looks, because words kind of have a negative connotation physically,
- 11:34Speaker 1: but aside from the aesthetics of it, there's really no
- 11:36Speaker 1: threat that they pose. They're not cancerus, which is weird
- 11:39Speaker 1: because all cancers is uncontrolled growth and all award is
- 11:43Speaker 1: is uncontrolled cellular growth. It is weird. But they eventually
- 11:46Speaker 1: stopped growing. I guess a tumor never stops growing until
- 11:50Speaker 1: it's dealt with. And worts can absolutely spread from one
- 11:53Speaker 1: person to another, even through shared objects. Yeah, you don't
- 11:56Speaker 1: have to go like if you had a word on
- 11:58Speaker 1: your cheek. I don't have to go and lick your
- 12:01Speaker 1: your wart right now to get it. All you have
- 12:03Speaker 1: to do is come in contact with your dirty older
- 12:05Speaker 1: brother and bam, you got warts. Yeah. I totally caught
- 12:09Speaker 1: it from him. It's weird. You can even get it
- 12:11Speaker 1: off of sharing a bath toel with somebody with warts,
- 12:13Speaker 1: it's a it's a hardy virus. Yeah. Um. So the
- 12:18Speaker 1: other problem is is although warts do eventually stopped growing,
- 12:22Speaker 1: when they die, they slough off and which spreads. So like,
- 12:27Speaker 1: if you ever have warts like a warda on your finger,
- 12:29Speaker 1: you can probably look forward to getting warts on other
- 12:32Speaker 1: fingers nearby or very close by. This life cycle, it's um,
- 12:37Speaker 1: it's not never ending. Eventually your body will produce the
- 12:40Speaker 1: anybody's needed to work off the warts. But sometimes you
- 12:43Speaker 1: have to wait longer, longer times than others. But they
- 12:46Speaker 1: will eventually go away, which is good to know. So
- 12:48Speaker 1: what do you What do you do if you want
- 12:49Speaker 1: to get rid of your warts? You don't feel like
- 12:51Speaker 1: waiting around for your body to catch up and get
- 12:53Speaker 1: rid of them? Right, Well, you can take some nail clippers,
- 12:55Speaker 1: I'm just kidding about. What you can do is what
- 13:00Speaker 1: we were talking about earlier. You can freeze them off.
- 13:02Speaker 1: It's called croywd therapy and that's when they use the
- 13:05Speaker 1: liquid nitrogen. And there are also some over the counter
- 13:09Speaker 1: home remedies that have sell sellocyclics how you pronounce it,
- 13:14Speaker 1: sellocyclic acid as the active ingredient. And both of these
- 13:19Speaker 1: methods basically will create a blister around the area of
- 13:22Speaker 1: the ward, and then that will be shed once the
- 13:25Speaker 1: blister falls off. So the blister falls off, and basically
- 13:27Speaker 1: what you're doing is you're making your skin react in
- 13:29Speaker 1: such a way that it covers up the war so
- 13:31Speaker 1: it can't spread. And then when the blister falls off,
- 13:34Speaker 1: because it goes underneath the war and over the ward
- 13:37Speaker 1: and along the sides, basically encapsulates it. Then your blister
- 13:39Speaker 1: eventually goes away, but it takes the wart with it.
- 13:41Speaker 1: That's kind of gross. It is gross, and it's really
- 13:44Speaker 1: simple and basic works and it's it's kind of elegant
- 13:47Speaker 1: and it's simplicity, and I know, uh, if if it's
- 13:50Speaker 1: really bad, you can opt for laser surgery, UM and
- 13:55Speaker 1: prescription treatments. If if you have genital warts, you might
- 13:58Speaker 1: want to go that right. Well, no, if you if
- 14:00Speaker 1: your common warts don't work very well, if you have
- 14:02Speaker 1: general awards, they're gonna give you prescription medicine. But if
- 14:05Speaker 1: your common warts aren't responding to like cryotherapy or anything,
- 14:08Speaker 1: that may give you the prescription for genital awards. Because
- 14:12Speaker 1: hardcore stuff, I imagine a laser they do for everything nowadays.
- 14:16Speaker 1: I love that. Just hit it, just hit it with
- 14:18Speaker 1: blaser over the best. Right. There's also something called a
- 14:21Speaker 1: blister beetle, and it lives up to its name. Right.
- 14:24Speaker 1: So they figured out how to extract a certain toxin
- 14:27Speaker 1: from the blister beetle, which causes a blister reaction in
- 14:31Speaker 1: human skin, and basically it does the same thing is, um,
- 14:34Speaker 1: you know whatever. What was the first thing you said
- 14:36Speaker 1: that creates a blister that cryotherapy? Yeah? Yeah, so it's
- 14:39Speaker 1: the same thing, except it's it's natural because it's a
- 14:43Speaker 1: beetle extracture. And some people are into that, like Spanish fly,
- 14:47Speaker 1: which is not good forwards or anything. So check let's see.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Uh oh, did you want to mention that one? That
- 14:55Speaker 1: one old wives tale what to do if you have warts? Yeah,
- 14:59Speaker 1: I've never heard this actually, so good on you. Um.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Apparently burying a cat at midnight is one of the
- 15:06Speaker 1: wives tales that you could And does that mean bearing
- 15:09Speaker 1: a live cat? I check that out and no, it's
- 15:11Speaker 1: a dead cat. Okay, so bearing a dead cat at
- 15:13Speaker 1: midnight we'll get rid of your warts. Obviously this isn't
- 15:16Speaker 1: true bearing a live cat well, I mean it's like,
- 15:20Speaker 1: I don't know, yeah, this won't really work, right, But
- 15:23Speaker 1: I mean, where would you find a dead cat as well?
- 15:25Speaker 1: I mean that's yeah, I guess you could. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 15:28Speaker 1: The whole thing is just not true. This is kind
- 15:30Speaker 1: of unsettling, And that's one of the old wives. That's
- 15:33Speaker 1: like a billion frogs approaching its civilization unsettling, like how
- 15:37Speaker 1: do you get a dead cat? You should watch that documentary.
- 15:39Speaker 1: It's I totally will it's really gonna go watch it
- 15:41Speaker 1: after this because I don't feel like working any longer today.
- 15:44Speaker 1: So I guess that's about it. Oh. Even though, even
- 15:48Speaker 1: though uh, toads won't give you warts, you probably shouldn't
- 15:52Speaker 1: pick them up anyway, because toads like the pe all
- 15:55Speaker 1: over your hand, which might not hurt you, but it's
- 15:58Speaker 1: kind of gross. So you should probably just leave the
- 16:01Speaker 1: toads alone unless they're hallucinogenic, and then you can lick
- 16:04Speaker 1: them do your heart's content. Yeah, I think every time
- 16:06Speaker 1: I've picked up a frog or a toad, it's pete
- 16:08Speaker 1: in my hand. Really, you're not gonna c o a
- 16:10Speaker 1: on the hallucinogenic toad endorsement. No. I like frogs and stuffing.
- 16:14Speaker 1: They're kind of cool, Okay, have it. I won't lick
- 16:18Speaker 1: them though, Oh you want? Okay, all right, so that's it.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Go forth and tell everyone actually punch someone in the
- 16:25Speaker 1: neck the next time they tell you toads can give
- 16:27Speaker 1: you words unless it's your mother, and then you should
- 16:29Speaker 1: show more respect than that. Absolutely. So you want to
- 16:31Speaker 1: do a little pluggy plug, Sure, let's do it. Okay, Um,
- 16:35Speaker 1: shall we plug the audio spoken word we've been doing
- 16:39Speaker 1: We've been doing it like that first and then the blog.
- 16:42Speaker 1: So let's just do the blog and then do the
- 16:44Speaker 1: book word. Switch it up a little bit, pal, And
- 16:46Speaker 1: you're blowing my mind. By now, most of you probably
- 16:49Speaker 1: know we have a blog, a weblog on our internet
- 16:52Speaker 1: site how Stuffworks dot com. You can find it on
- 16:54Speaker 1: the right side of the home page and it's called
- 16:56Speaker 1: Stuff you Should Know. And Josh and I post and
- 16:59Speaker 1: we talked about cool things, and we've been interacting with
- 17:01Speaker 1: the fans and it's been a good experience and I
- 17:03Speaker 1: hope it continues to grow. We've got some great fans,
- 17:05Speaker 1: don't we. We do really smart people. And it's one
- 17:08Speaker 1: of the few blogs I've seen so far where the
- 17:10Speaker 1: comments don't take a a bad turn and people don't
- 17:14Speaker 1: start fighting with each other. And we've only had one
- 17:16Speaker 1: right that Nazi referenced. Oh he has some crack. So
- 17:21Speaker 1: it's all very above board and we're real pleased about that.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Good nicely, don't Chucks. And now you want me to
- 17:26Speaker 1: do the spoken word thing. So if you don't know

- 17:33Speaker 1: spoken word album, uh. And it is called The Stuff
- 17:37Speaker 1: You Should Know super Stuff Guide to the Economy, and
- 17:40Speaker 1: it is jam packed with information about the economy, all
- 17:45Speaker 1: sorts of bells and whistles. There's chickens, there's um cows,

- 18:03Speaker 1: Um and it came out really well, I think. And
- 18:05Speaker 1: it's up. It's up for sale on iTunes for three
- 18:07Speaker 1: dollars and cents, just type of super stuffed into the
- 18:10Speaker 1: iTunes store search bar and that that should be the
- 18:13Speaker 1: first thing that comes up and you want to download it.
- 18:16Speaker 1: That's cool with us. Um, yeah, it is cool. The
- 18:20Speaker 1: more people who downloaded, the more likely it's going to
- 18:22Speaker 1: be that we'll be able to do another one, which

- 19:13Speaker 1: I'm a student from Germany and I really enjoy your podcast.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Last year I went to college in California and listening
- 19:18Speaker 1: to explain stuff makes me very nostalgic on top of
- 19:21Speaker 1: much smarter. On numerous occasions. However, you have mentioned the Germans. Germans,
- 19:27Speaker 1: I have nothing to complain about historic facts, but as
- 19:30Speaker 1: an avid learner of the English language, I feel made
- 19:32Speaker 1: fun of. It's true that I am obese, I wear
- 19:35Speaker 1: later hosen, and I have a huge mustache, but my
- 19:38Speaker 1: pronunciation of th h is flawless. Greetings from Zamzeland, Alex
- 19:43Speaker 1: Gym So. Alex had a very good sense of humor
- 19:46Speaker 1: about that. Yeah, and we should probably say that's a
- 19:48Speaker 1: reference to what snatch? Right? Oh? Is it? Are you serious?
- 19:53Speaker 1: You haven't known what I was doing the whole time. Now,
- 19:55Speaker 1: I had no idea. How have you not seen Snatch? Yeah,
- 19:57Speaker 1: it's been a while, you know. Jason Statham, Uh, yeah,
- 20:00Speaker 1: his his character. He says that he goes, yes, it's
- 20:03Speaker 1: a German's and I do a terrible impression of it.

- 20:09Speaker 1: feel mis understood, all right. And this is our other
- 20:12Speaker 1: funny fan are very strange friend, our oddball crack pot
- 20:16Speaker 1: friend from Seattle. And this isn't even his real name,

- 20:58Speaker 1: in this is just one of his emails. I really
- 21:01Speaker 1: do prefer stuff from your pod rather than the rest.
- 21:05Speaker 1: Maybe it's your sterling personality or maybe it's your aluminum wit.
- 21:08Speaker 1: No offense to the other pods, but they seem to
- 21:10Speaker 1: be the entertainment equivalent of rice cakes. You know, they're
- 21:13Speaker 1: good for you, but they're too dang dry. Thanks for
- 21:16Speaker 1: the excellent show. That's that is all I listened to. Now,
