- 0:00Welcome to the One Small Change. I am thrilled that you are taking
- 0:04time out of your busy schedule to be with us today.
- 0:08This is a journey of exploration and transformation and
- 0:11I am so glad you've decided to take it with me. I'm Your host, Yvonne
- 0:15McCoy and I bring almost 30 years of entrepreneurial experience and a
- 0:19passion for discovering growth through the power of
- 0:23seemingly small change. You can be amazed at
- 0:26what happens when you make a small change. So again, thank you
- 0:30for joining me and I want to introduce an amazing
- 0:34new friend, Mark Intrican and he's
- 0:37going to tell us what's unexpected and
- 0:41insignificant decision sparked a remarkable transformation
- 0:45and growth in either his personal, professional or both.
- 0:49Mark, so glad you're here today.
- 0:53Thank you so much, Yvonne. I'm excited and I'm honored to be
- 0:56here. This is so wonderful. I love your program.
- 1:00I love how you're the women's business strategist
- 1:03because the strategies that we take are truly what puts us to
- 1:07that next higher level, right? Absolutely,
- 1:11absolutely. So I want you
- 1:15to talk about what you do and how
- 1:19you got there. What made you go to where you are and what
- 1:22kind of impact is it having? Yvonne, that's a great
- 1:26story and I love telling it, but it's going to take just about seven or
- 1:29eight hours. Do we have that much time in a different
- 1:33universe? Okay. It all
- 1:37started back when I was a small child. Now, well, in a
- 1:41way it was. Started as a small child.
- 1:46But this small child was an 18 year old. He had a
- 1:50scholarship to the University of Alabama. And if you know football,
- 1:54that was back in Bear Bryant's time when he was just
- 1:57winning, just championship after championship.
- 2:02I was there, but I was now I was on a scholastic scholarship. I was
- 2:05not on a football scholarship, but I was ready to go. I
- 2:09was excited. And my brother in law and I were coming home
- 2:13one night from the restaurant. We were coming around the curve,
- 2:16front left tire blew out, took the car into the ditch,
- 2:20boom, hit the ditch. I went through the windshield.
- 2:24Oh, and when I went through that windshield, of course I ducked and did this.
- 2:28I've got scars in my hand. I don't know if you can see them on
- 2:30the camera, but there's large scars on my head which you can't see
- 2:34because I let what little hair I have grow grow over them.
- 2:38But I spent some 17 days in the
- 2:41hospital, 17 to 20 days. And the hospital can't tell me exactly. They don't keep
- 2:45records back that long. And I checked them many
- 2:48years ago for that, but they never gave Me, the exact dates, but I know
- 2:52I spent five days in intensive care. This is just.
- 2:56Am I going to make it? Am I not going to make it? Head injuries
- 2:59went in, they removed the glass. Everything else they came out,
- 3:03issues with more glass. They took me back in, removed more glass.
- 3:07And so I was there for the five days in the
- 3:10emergency room, the 17 days in the hospital. Finally
- 3:14get to come home. And where do I come home to? Back to my
- 3:17home high school town where I was so ready to get
- 3:21out of. I'd been there going through school, through my third grade,
- 3:25through senior in high school. Small town, southeastern
- 3:29New Mexico, middle of nowhere. I was stuck for
- 3:32six months for rehab. Finally I said, well,
- 3:36I'll be able to go back. Called University
- 3:40of Alabama. They said they'd hold my scholarship for me. Great, great. I was excited.
- 3:44But after a few months, things just started happening.
- 3:48Mom didn't want me to get away from home yet, quite yet. Want me wait
- 3:51another semester. So I went to Texas Tech
- 3:55University in Lubbock, Texas. Good school, loved it, great
- 3:59people. And during that semester, I kind of lost my
- 4:03interest in the University of Alabama. I don't know why, but I
- 4:06did. And then after that, I got
- 4:10married. Wonderful. Had two beautiful kids,
- 4:14had a boy, had a girl. Perfect family. Boom,
- 4:18there went the divorce. And, oh, the divorce was so
- 4:22dramatic, like you see on tv. I want those television type divorces where
- 4:26every time I walked into that courtroom, oh, there's a deadbeat dad.
- 4:30Wait a minute. I'm paying all of this money from
- 4:35alimony, child support, paying her attorney
- 4:38fees. What do you mean? Going back and fighting and fighting
- 4:42and fighting. And one day
- 4:46it just hit me. Hold on,
- 4:50let's do some thinking here. I was in Southern
- 4:53Mississippi when the accident happened. I was in the
- 4:57Hattiesburg Hospital neurosurgical unit, and
- 5:01I'm getting blood. What, what blood did I get?
- 5:04I didn't know as much about blood back then.
- 5:08I'm in the divorce. I walk into the divorce court at
- 5:129am in the morning, sometime between 9am and 4pm Whenever the
- 5:15judges would work. And I'm being tossed around like the,
- 5:20the minority of the century. I, I just walk in and people are just
- 5:23pointing fingers at me. Oh, a deadbeat dad in the courtroom with a divorce.
- 5:28And I thought, wait a minute, what's going on here? And
- 5:32then I remembered a little bit back about my science. And you know, there's four
- 5:35blood types in this world, around the world,
- 5:39not just in the United States. Every country
- 5:43go to Russia. You need blood. Guess What? There's four blood types. China,
- 5:48Antarctica, wherever you go, four blood types.
- 5:51What blood did I receive? Well, I received either
- 5:56one of the A groups. A positive is what blood type I have, or type
- 5:59O or type O negative. And it's not one of those situations, Yvonne,
- 6:03where they said, oh, Mark needs blood. Let's call his good old friends
- 6:07back home and just get some blood from a college
- 6:11educated high school guy who wants to achieve in life.
- 6:15They don't have that, Yvonne. They just gave me
- 6:19whatever blood was available that matched my.
- 6:24I didn't know if they were, but they were a darker color skin, lighter colored
- 6:27skin. Didn't know if they had tattooed, didn't know if they smoked, didn't know if
- 6:30they even had a college education or high school education. All of a
- 6:34sudden it started coming to me, understanding we
- 6:37are the same, just a little bit different color,
- 6:41lighter and darker skin. That's it. No
- 6:45matter where we are around the world.
- 6:49My divorce. Yes. A male.
- 6:53Why was I being so ridiculed in the court system?
- 6:57And it started coming to me. It's all about
- 7:01our culture, what we are taught from the
- 7:05time we are just a few days old,
- 7:09through the time we learn. The difference I'm trying to
- 7:13teach today is that we are all the
- 7:17same and we need to be treated that way. Mothers,
- 7:21fathers, the best parent is both parents.
- 7:25It's not one over the other. I can't have a child,
- 7:29but I can parent a child and I can do it well.
- 7:33And that's what we need to think about, what we're doing. And we need to
- 7:36end all the anger in this world, all the
- 7:40frustrations that we seem to have day after day.
- 7:44Times that we're just doing things, just getting mad over
- 7:48the smallest things. And then we create a distancing.
- 7:52That distancing is kind of like a hate. And that hate is
- 7:56nothing more than having accelerated troubled expectations. H A T
- 7:59E our anger. Nothing more than actions
- 8:03not gaining effective results. A N G E R
- 8:08It all came to me that there is a better way.
- 8:12We are the same. We are, or at least
- 8:15can be, as awesome as we choose to be.
- 8:19But we first have to make that choice. And that's
- 8:23what started me into what I do today. Going from a technical background,
- 8:27IT information technology and computers, to doing more on the personal
- 8:31side and helping us all get together
- 8:35for better tomorrow, achieving the unity that we
- 8:39all deserve. That is a great story. And I have
- 8:42to say to you, one of the things that you and I kind of share
- 8:45in common is the idea that, you know, when we're
- 8:49born and when we're, you know, you're young kids, we're like a clean
- 8:53slate. You know, we're not born. We are, we're not
- 8:56born with any of that stuff. And, you know, it comes
- 9:00from what we're taught and the
- 9:03experiences that we have. And, you know, I had an experience
- 9:07where I was an exchange student. I was in Holland
- 9:11for. Yeah, yeah, it was great. I'm so jealous.
- 9:15It was, it was. That was like the, one of the big changes, you
- 9:19know, small changes that, that happened to me. And even in my
- 9:2260s, my brother said to me, you've never been right
- 9:26since you went overseas. Because I
- 9:31view the world totally differently. You know, it wasn't just about my
- 9:34town and about America. It was like, we're a global community.
- 9:39But it was the first time, I think that I actually
- 9:43encountered real hate. And,
- 9:47you know, for me, I was a teenager, so, like, I hate peas.
- 9:51I hate, you know, mustard colored clothes or whatever.
- 9:54And, you know, and I can't, I can't, you know, fault them
- 9:58because, you know, they lived through World War II. They
- 10:02had to. They hid Jewish families in their
- 10:05basement and they had, they had to bike out of town to
- 10:09get food, so nobody reported them for having more food than they were supposed
- 10:13to, that kind of thing. And so every time we, every time we
- 10:17passed like a, a bunker or something that was in the
- 10:21field, I had to say, I hate Germans.
- 10:25That, you know, my family said, I hate Germans. And
- 10:29it was, you know, it was like hate on a totally different level than
- 10:32I had ever experienced in my life. And for good reason.
- 10:36Don't get me wrong. I'm, you know, I. But it was, it was like,
- 10:40oh, so there are people in the world that have
- 10:44this level of hate, right? And,
- 10:48you know, I could have. I could have come from a family. You
- 10:51know, we were the only black family in a white neighborhood. So I could have
- 10:55come from a family that brought us up to be hateful,
- 11:00you know, but I didn't, you know, luckily I was very lucky. My
- 11:03dad brought us up. You know, you take every person as
- 11:07that person, you know, you don't prejudge
- 11:11them. You don't, you know, whatever. So. So
- 11:14this is not about me, but it could be.
- 11:18That's a good story. And I wished I would have done that. And Holland was
- 11:21a place I was thinking of. My aunt had a foreign exchange
- 11:25student with them during their senior year and a junior, I think
- 11:29it was, but. And I thought about it, but didn't do
- 11:32it and I wish I would have. I'm so
- 11:36glad you did. I wish I'd known you back then to have told me about
- 11:39it, so I would have done the same thing. That's such a learning
- 11:43experience, right? Like you said, it
- 11:46totally changed my, my viewpoint
- 11:51on things that are important, things that aren't important,
- 11:55that kind of thing. But anyway, so
- 11:59how are you using this professionally now or
- 12:02personally? What I
- 12:07do as much as I can every day is teach more
- 12:11and more people about the things that we just talked about. And
- 12:14that is ending to anger. Instead of anger,
- 12:18we need to be calm because it.
- 12:21Canceling anger leads motivation. C A L
- 12:25M I help people get beyond that anger,
- 12:29even things such as prejudice. Prejudice is just such
- 12:32a childish attitude. But I think as we're
- 12:36both saying, it is something that we do because
- 12:40it's what we were taught. And so what I'm doing is
- 12:44I specialize in helping individuals, organizations
- 12:49in all levels, in couples, married couples, especially in
- 12:53parenting time, helping them build stronger, commit stronger
- 12:57connections, dismantling the vision and
- 13:00creating a lasting success through the power of
- 13:04achieving unity. Because through that unity,
- 13:08we have the strength beyond every
- 13:12imaginable idea that we have of doing anything by
- 13:15ourselves. Well, I think, you know,
- 13:19if you're an entrepreneur, there's, there's an
- 13:22old proverb that says something like, if you want to go fast, go by
- 13:26yourself. If you want to go long, go with others.
- 13:30And, you know, you can. My, my, my add on
- 13:34to that is it doesn't matter how fast you're going if you're going in the
- 13:37wrong direction. So that's right. I think as
- 13:40entrepreneurs, it is really important
- 13:44to travel with other people, to find a community, find a couple of people
- 13:47that you can do connection and, and you know,
- 13:51collaboration with, because it will save you so many mistakes.
- 13:55It will open up ideas for you that you will never have on your own.
- 13:58And not because you're not capable of it, but just because
- 14:02we are stuck in our own little silo, our
- 14:06thought silo. You know,
- 14:10another thing that happened for me was I took a
- 14:13positivity course and he talked about, you
- 14:17know, we tend to default to our, our background and our past,
- 14:21our comfort level. Yes. And also we
- 14:25collect evidence to support the belief that we have. So if you
- 14:29fail and you, you know, you say, oh, it's another time I failed.
- 14:32You're just building up that evidence. If you say, you know,
- 14:36I experimented and look, I had success or I learned
- 14:39something, then it, then it becomes a positive learning experience. But
- 14:43anyway, so the course taught me to say
- 14:46when things come up, am I being judgmental or am I being
- 14:50curious? And oh, my God, that changed my
- 14:54life. That's a great point, too, because that's what I do.
- 14:57Helping entrepreneurs in the ending, that anger and
- 15:01the hate and helping others. Because
- 15:05if we come into our office in the morning or if we're going to an
- 15:09appointment and we run into. Just take an example of road rage
- 15:13and somebody pulls in front of us and we have to make a quick turn
- 15:17and let's say we spilled our coffee or our cold drink on our sin,
- 15:21we are so mad. And a lot of times we just yell and scream
- 15:25and flip our hand up and those kind of things.
- 15:29What we have done too many times is
- 15:32messed up our next customer because
- 15:36we're going to take too many times again. We're going to
- 15:40take that anger with us to that
- 15:44next appointment, to that next phone call, to that next
- 15:47interview, to next video session.
- 15:51We need to let those things go, get
- 15:55beyond whatever everyone else is feeling and
- 15:58start grabbing onto us. Because what we're building
- 16:02is a better life. And if we don't
- 16:06let go of that extra weight that weighed on our shoulder
- 16:09because of someone else, what someone else said or did,
- 16:14we're dragging ourselves down. And as an entrepreneur,
- 16:18we don't want that. Right? So. So,
- 16:22okay, you've mentioned
- 16:26that we do better with our clients
- 16:29and with our interactions if we can let those negative and
- 16:33hateful feelings go. One of the things that I do that
- 16:37I think kind of irritates people is when I
- 16:41have a connection call. I do not go to LinkedIn and I do
- 16:45not read their profile. And I do not do all these things
- 16:49because I want to start with a clean slate. I want to
- 16:52just see how we connect with each other. What you
- 16:56put on your LinkedIn profile could be two years old and you're doing something
- 16:59totally different. And I've made assumptions, and then you're not
- 17:03there anymore. And so, you know, I've had people say, you didn't go
- 17:07to my website. I'm like, no, because I want to see how you
- 17:11tell me what you do. I want to see how well we connect.
- 17:15And some people find that really annoying, I guess.
- 17:19But my thing is I want to be open to the experience.
- 17:22I want to have a clean slate so that I can
- 17:26experience for myself that person.
- 17:30And I think that way you're not bringing preconceived
- 17:34ideas, you know, that that old, you know, assume makes an ass out
- 17:37of you and me kind of thing. So that's One
- 17:41thing is meet each person as a
- 17:45brand new open connection
- 17:49without any preconceived ideas. I think,
- 17:52and I like what you're saying, Yvonne, and I take it similar,
- 17:56but I always find out as much as I can about who
- 18:00I'm talking with ahead of time. Going out to their website, going out to
- 18:04their LinkedIn, see if they're on Facebook, see you. If
- 18:08anything I can find out about them because
- 18:11I want to be able to at least build a base or
- 18:15foundation. And that's where we all need
- 18:18to start, is somewhere strong. But
- 18:22what assume does only builds
- 18:25questions. And then I help leaders especially
- 18:29in asking those questions. You can't see it right now, but
- 18:33right here on my wall, several of them, it says, always
- 18:36smile first as you respond with a positive
- 18:40question. A smiley face on it, but that's what it says, always
- 18:44smile first as you respond with a positive question. So when I'm talking
- 18:48to someone and I've seen something on their website
- 18:51or just by talking with them, I'll say,
- 18:56this is what I saw, this is what I heard. What does that mean?
- 19:00Let them open up and then share. And like you're saying,
- 19:03Yvonne, sometimes I say, oh, that's what I was working on a couple of years
- 19:07ago. I'm not doing that anymore. I could assume from that
- 19:10point or I could ask another question, oh, what are you doing now?
- 19:14And so that's the thing that we both do in common, is ask questions.
- 19:19So when I meet somebody, I go, how can I support you?
- 19:22Tell me more, tell me, you know, how you got here,
- 19:27right? And ask questions, you know,
- 19:30to get clarity and stuff about what it is they're doing and that kind of
- 19:34thing. And so before we run out of time, there's one
- 19:38other thing that I kind of want to talk about is you've got this great
- 19:41graphic in your background and I'm not sure that we've touched
- 19:45on that or if it's even relevant.
- 19:49That is my, my son did the graphic. He put that together
- 19:53for me. But that was my company, Reality
- 19:57Focused Dynamics. And that comes from a lot of the things that we're talking about
- 20:00today, Yvonne. And from my past, from my college
- 20:04days to my accident, what is reality?
- 20:08And too many times we realize first that reality is
- 20:12our own perception, how we perceive our
- 20:15life, our day, our next event is our reality.
- 20:20So it's Reality Focused Dynamics.
- 20:23And first off, My phone number is
- 20:26303-focused.
- 20:29303-362-8733. That is
- 20:32303-focused. Because focus is where we need to be.
- 20:36So what's great about focused? We can build success
- 20:39focused solutions. That's my logo.
- 20:43Reality focused dynamics. Where are we? What is
- 20:47our reality? Let's focus on those. And as we
- 20:50focused on reality, let's focus on the success
- 20:54and the solutions. Because as we focus, which means
- 20:58really, truly put your mind,
- 21:02your mindset to taking that success
- 21:06forward based on your realities, you're going to come up
- 21:10with the right solution based on the dynamics that
- 21:13you use to get there. Well, we agree
- 21:17on that. Because, you know, one of the things that I, you know, one
- 21:21of my taglines is you don't need to be fixed, you need to be found.
- 21:24And the way you do that is focus on your, your
- 21:28unique powers, your unique skill set. And part of that is
- 21:32style. So, you know, we've, we've exhibited two
- 21:35different styles. You like to dig in
- 21:39so that you've got information so you can get to know people. I
- 21:43like a clean slate so I can dig in when I've got the person,
- 21:47right? And so those are our different styles, right?
- 21:51Our different unique powers, the way we go about things. So
- 21:55I. But they're going through the same dynamics though, right?
- 21:58We're. The idea is get to know the person, the person,
- 22:03not the ethnic group, not the, you know,
- 22:07whatever that, that they're going through. And, And I think, you
- 22:10know, our reality.
- 22:15How can I say this? Our reality
- 22:20can change in the sense
- 22:23that as we bring in more information, it's like a
- 22:26tapestry. You're adding more threads and
- 22:30more depth and that kind of thing. And that's one of the things that I
- 22:33found by doing the same workshop over and over again
- 22:37is that I just got better at it. Instead of being spreading out wider and
- 22:40wider, I was going deeper and deeper and finding, you
- 22:44know, the things that, that were really working and stuff. And, and
- 22:48I always thought I would be really bored because I'm a typical
- 22:51entrepreneurial squirrel, you know, always
- 22:55making programs and, you know, all kinds of stuff. And so, you
- 22:59know, the idea of doing one thing over and over again was like, oh my
- 23:02God, this is going to be horrible. And, and it has been the best thing.
- 23:06I have to keep myself from saying this is going to be the best
- 23:09workshop, you know, because I found something different.
- 23:13And I think what it does going to your dynamics and
- 23:16I, I may be misunderstanding this is.
- 23:21You've. You've got to keep moving forward. I mean, the world is
- 23:25changing. It is changing faster than it ever has. If
- 23:29you are not moving and have dynamics, you are going
- 23:32to stagnate and become irrelevant. That is so true. And let
- 23:36me play with a couple of words or one of the words that we use
- 23:39just in this conversation and that's the word change.
- 23:43Things do change, but change is
- 23:47short term improvement is the
- 23:50reality that we must focus, focus on for our
- 23:54dynamics to go forward. Because change
- 23:57is short term, improvement is long term. So
- 24:01our reality focused dynamics takes us long term
- 24:05as we build those success focused solutions
- 24:09because that's where we have to be long term,
- 24:12continual process improvement. And that's how I help companies
- 24:16get beyond that stagnation. Running in the mud, just
- 24:21having that weight of some kind of hate or
- 24:24anger or, or learning
- 24:29any of that weighing down on our shoulders. But
- 24:32instead shed that away and take that
- 24:36small change, turn it into a large improvement and you
- 24:40then have the dynamics to reach the solution that you've
- 24:44desired the whole time. Right. And
- 24:47so if I were to reword that just a little bit,
- 24:52I always think of changes. If you think of a wheel with
- 24:56spokes in it, change is kind of the center.
- 25:00And as it you keep implementing it and growing into
- 25:03it, the spokes get further and further apart. And so the
- 25:07area got a dog, guys. So the area
- 25:11of improvement gets bigger and bigger the longer you can do
- 25:15it. And the thing that really had an impact on
- 25:19me is when I learned about
- 25:22the change, a change model. It talked about you have
- 25:26to end something first or make room for a change
- 25:30before you can do kind of the new beginning and in the middle is called
- 25:34the neutral zone. And it is anything but neutral.
- 25:38I mean I think they got that from a car, you know, shifting gears
- 25:42first, forward, neutral. And, and you know, my mantra
- 25:46is I must be making a great change because I've never been this miserable
- 25:49before.
- 25:53Because change doesn't happen in a vacuum. You
- 25:56change something and other things start to change around it that you didn't even
- 26:00know we're connected. Right. And so
- 26:04it, it is. I think people don't expect to
- 26:08change. They make a decision and they don't expect to experience the other stuff
- 26:11that comes with the change that to get to the improvement, if
- 26:15that makes any sense. It does. And that,
- 26:19that's where I come up with this saying. And this is one of my domains
- 26:23is called you have something come up you didn't expect and you say
- 26:27what the frustration. And
- 26:30sometimes that can be frustrating to see that change.
- 26:34That's why you make that change. Then you go forward and make sure
- 26:38you're taking things down and breaking them down. That's another one of my
- 26:41speeches it's called Bidwid Rid Gid.
- 26:45Break it down, write it down, review its
- 26:49dependencies, get it done. And that's how we
- 26:52focus on those changes, make sure that they turn into long
- 26:56term improvements. Would that work for you?
- 27:00It does. And I say when you focus you can be much
- 27:04more strategic because you've got a long term goal that you're
- 27:08working on. And so even if you have to auto correct or you
- 27:12know, self correct as you're going along, you're still headed towards your, your
- 27:15North Star. So guess what, our time is up.
- 27:20I need to, I need to. This has been great. I got a
- 27:23couple of things. So just real fast. Some of the things that we talked
- 27:27about is knowing that, you know,
- 27:31we collect evidence to support an old idea and
- 27:34so we need to be more curious and ask more questions about
- 27:38things. I think
- 27:42we talked about treating each person as an individual with
- 27:45value the way they are.
- 27:50I don't know. Give me a, give me a third one that I missed. One
- 27:53of them that I want to emphasize is assumptions
- 27:57must only create further questions.
- 28:01Don't assume and believe it. Don't believe your assumption because as you said,
- 28:05it just makes an ass out of you and me. That's assume me. You
- 28:09want to make sure that that assumption, when you assume something,
- 28:12ask the question and don't be afraid to ask. So that's the
- 28:16biggest one as far as something to build from
- 28:19is assumptions. Make questions. Always smile
- 28:23first as you ask that positive question going forward.
- 28:27Okay. And, and so also tell us about your gift.
- 28:32Oh, I have a wonderful gift and I'll put the link in the
- 28:36chat, but it's called my Achieving Unity Guide.
- 28:40You can also get it on my website,
- 28:41www.achievingunity.com or
- 28:45www.markentrican.com. right there. And
- 28:48find my Achieving Unity Guide. Roll down the first page
- 28:52and it helps us talk about how we can end anger,
- 28:57hate and prejudice. And I go into some acronyms that
- 29:00are very catchy that help us think about
- 29:04all those items. That anger is nothing more than a
- 29:08frustration, hates nothing more than a disconnect. And I
- 29:11break down frustrate. I'm sorry, I break down prejudice into two
- 29:15different acronyms of how
- 29:19prejudice used to be and how it is today. Do you have time for me
- 29:23to go through them quickly? I don't think so, but I. Okay,
- 29:26we'll go through those next time. Tell you that, that you and
- 29:30I are like the acronym, you know, king and queen. Because I'm
- 29:34really into acronyms. Right. They help us remember don't they?
- 29:37They do. Because my thing is you can't. You, you know, you can't use it
- 29:41if you can't remember it. I, you know, I used to say in corporate, we
- 29:45got this great training, but when you got into the, you know, the heat of
- 29:48it, you know, your brain would go, which binder was that in?
- 29:52And so you defaulted back to what you automatically did
- 29:56before. So that's why, that's why I, you know,
- 30:00and I follow that in, in. In the podcast of
- 30:03make your learning last. You learn something, you apply it, you share
- 30:07it with others, because it. It makes it clearer for you, but it also makes
- 30:11you more of an expert that you're being generous and sharing your information.
- 30:14But the most important proactive, pick a time trigger.
- 30:18When is the situation? I'm going to need this so that you know
- 30:22when to look for it. Okay, so here we go.
- 30:26When was the last time you did something new for the first time?
- 30:29The newest things I've done is my podcast. And then getting on
- 30:33more and more. I have a podcast I love you. Come be a guest on.
- 30:37I want to thank you so much for being a letting me be a guest
- 30:40on yours. And that's my newest thing to start being on other
- 30:44professionals and their podcasts like yours. This is
- 30:47my new thing that I'm working on right now, and I'm enjoying it because not
- 30:51only do I get to meet people like you, you know, you and I knew
- 30:53each other, but get to know each other better and help us
- 30:57build a better world for all of us. Well,
- 31:00the reason I did the podcast is, like I said, I wanted to
- 31:05help my clients and my community expand the people that
- 31:09they were exposed to so that. That, you know, because I'm not
- 31:12gonna. I'm never gonna know everything about everything
- 31:16right, either. And so, you know, the best way to do that is
- 31:20have connection with other people. So here
- 31:24we go. It's time for the commercial. The best that I can do
- 31:27it. I want to make sure that you subscribe and share the
- 31:31podcast and engage on social media. And the reason I did
- 31:35this, I wanted to supercharge your business. And. And one of the ways to
- 31:39do that is connecting you to other people that maybe you wouldn't have run into
- 31:42before. And so this is my way of giving back to the community and
- 31:46helping you to grow and have impact. And so I hope
- 31:50you'll continue to join me on the one small change. And
- 31:54let's keep going on this journey where even the smallest shift can yield
- 31:58a huge transformation. And I want you to grow your vision.
- 32:01So it's a bold vision and you have innovative possibilities.
- 32:05Mark, have you got any last words of wisdom to share?
- 32:10And I'll try to go through this fast, Yvonne, but instead of getting frustrated or
- 32:14angry. Angry is. Anger is just actions not gaining
- 32:17effective results. Get calm. C A L M Calm
- 32:21cancels. Anger leads motivation. Instead of
- 32:25disconnecting or hating. Where hate is nothing more than having
- 32:28accelerated troubled expectations. Be
- 32:32the help. And that help is having excellent leadership plans.
- 32:36Life is truly what we make it. So if you're not making it awesome,
- 32:39you're letting someone else make your life what they want it to be. Now we
- 32:43can make it all up to ourselves, because isn't it time
- 32:47to make your life awesome? Achieving unity helps you achieve the
- 32:51credit that you deserve. Thank you so much.
- 32:54That is so true. All right, guys, we're bringing it to an
- 32:58end. So I want you to remember, change is simple, but it's not always
- 33:02easy. It requires courage, resilience, and a willingness to stability.
- 33:06Step out of your comfort zone. So I hope you'll continue to join me for
- 33:09the one small change and keep this momentum going.
- 33:13And until next time, stay very curious.
- 33:17Thank you, Mark. Thank you, Yvonne. It's been a pleasure. It
- 33:20has been.
