- 0:07Hi, I'm Jay Fallon and you are listening to the slippery slope.
- 0:11So for a while now I've been talking about upcoming food,
- 0:15shortages Global Food shortages. There's been a lot of people
- 0:19talking about it, warning that it is coming.
- 0:22I believe it's going to be coming to Australia.
- 0:23Obviously, it's Global. But, you know, some people seem
- 0:26to think that, you know, we will be okay, won't affect us.
- 0:30I do believe even in a nation like Australia, which can
- 0:34sometimes feel so isolated and where we can buy, we can grow.
- 0:39Sorry, a lot of our own produce even and they should like us,
- 0:42we're going to be affected, but I want to run through this
- 0:44article and in the actually comes from the daily digest.
- 0:49What really stood out to me was the headline it is shortages for
- 0:53the rich hunger for the poor Global food crisis is coming and
- 0:59this is the main problem. It's the poor that are going to
- 1:02be affected the most as as with most things like this and in,
- 1:06Where we are such a wealthy Nation, it is really.
- 1:11It would be difficult in Australia.
- 1:13She died of starvation. It they would have to be some
- 1:17outlying factors pushing against you causing you to die of
- 1:22starvation. Other than just, a lack complete
- 1:25lack of food. Over, I'll go through some of
- 1:27the headlines, some of, the main areas of this article and, and
- 1:32just add my comment. So it says that this is the
- 1:35perfect storm. All the conditions are there.
- 1:38We've got war in the biggest wheat, producing region in the
- 1:41world global supply chain. As a consequence of the global
- 1:45covid-19, pandemic and climate change.
- 1:50I'm not sure about the climate change, but anyway, having a
- 1:53negative in the harvests. So the experts, now, it's always
- 1:59the experts. So the experts, the anonymous
- 2:01experts are warning us that it is highly likely that our
- 2:04worldwide food crisis, is on its way.
- 2:07So unfortunately, so it's the war among the wheat Fields, the
- 2:10current war in Europe, affects two of the most important.
- 2:14We producing countries in the world Russia which is in fourth
- 2:19place, and Ukraine. In seventh place.
- 2:22If you count the EU, as a single producer between the sanctions
- 2:26of the former, and the invasion of the ladder importing serial
- 2:29form either Eastern, European country is an impossibility for
- 2:33the time being, and then you've got somewhere like in India,
- 2:37which is having a horrendous Harvest at the moment.
- 2:40India is the world's third largest wheat producer.
- 2:44It's has its had a disastrous harvest in 2022.
- 2:49Due to the high temperatures were.
- 2:50Sometimes the temperatures have reached 43 degrees Celsius for
- 2:54days after days, which obviously is not good for wheat
- 2:58production, but this is also the cost of globalization, you know,
- 3:03those people that decided that told us all we need to be.
- 3:07We need to have a global economy.
- 3:09We need to trade trade everywhere.
- 3:11Don't worry about growing. Don't worry about just supplying
- 3:14your own Nation. Globalization is where it's at,
- 3:17but one of the tenants of economic globalization was is to
- 3:22relocate wherever it's cheaper to produce which you know, it
- 3:27all sounds good because when your whole when your whole
- 3:32thought process resolves about making money, of course you want
- 3:35to make Action Jeepers. But this has allowed Russia and
- 3:40Belarus to virtually Corner, the market of fertilizer production.
- 3:44And now Nations like America, Australia are farmers.
- 3:47We're paying the price because it's getting harder and harder
- 3:51to fertilize their fields. Therefore, you're going to have
- 3:55a famine around the world. In May the United Nations made a
- 3:59dire forecast around the world, 44 million people in 38
- 4:05countries are already at emergency levels of hunger which
- 4:10is just one step away from famine more than half a million
- 4:14people. In Ethiopia, South Sudan, Yemen
- 4:17and Madagascar are already in catastrophic or famine
- 4:21conditions some Millions will stop, that's the prediction.
- 4:26David Beasley, who is head of the United Nations world food
- 4:30programme. He was very clear in an
- 4:33interview with CNN, he said that Millions will starve countries
- 4:37will destabilize and families will migrate by necessity.
- 4:43So unfortunately, adding to all of this issue, you've got less
- 4:48exports because countries are focusing more on, local need the
- 4:54New York Times and other other news outlets have all reported
- 4:57that the Indian government have decided to ban wheat products or
- 5:01wheat export. Sorry to cover, local needs and
- 5:05slow down food prices. And this is this is the to the
- 5:09detriment of European and American markets.
- 5:13However, if you're in the, if you're part of the Indian
- 5:16government, your priority are your people, your constituents,
- 5:23your, the local Indian people. This is going to be the sticking
- 5:28point for a lot of people because we have organizations
- 5:30like the world economic Forum, like the United Nations like the
- 5:35World Bank. They want globalization, they
- 5:38want everyone to be growing their food and exporting it
- 5:41around the world. They do not want.
- 5:43Tends to be focusing in words, that's not their plan.
- 5:48They want a globalization, they want a global government.
- 5:52They are pushing for a global lot Global government, besides
- 5:55the fact that I believe a global government is wrong completely
- 5:58evil. It is against what the Bible
- 6:01says, not even looking at all of that Global government.
- 6:06It allows the rich to keep getting richer.
- 6:09Instead of allowing individual governments to focus, On the
- 6:13needs of their own people. So then you have the World Bank
- 6:19requesting that Nations that are facing shortages or governments
- 6:23might want to follow India's. Again, example and choose to
- 6:27limit or prohibit, exports, such as wheat or other others
- 6:31affected by the price hike, the World Bank has requested not to
- 6:36adopt these policies and they've singled out and they have
- 6:40singled out. Agricultural Powerhouse has such
- 6:43as Argentina, Brazil and Australia to please, the layout
- 6:47of the trade of all sorts of good, you know?
- 6:49If even if you're sitting there thinking, well, you know, it's
- 6:52not going to get too bad. It's not going to get too bad
- 6:54for like a nation like Australia.
- 6:56We've already seen these these shortages starting to affect us
- 7:02and, you know, things are really bad.
- 7:05Things must be extremely bad in other parts of the world.
- 7:08If we're seeing the kinds of effects that we see in and our
- 7:11supermarkets, for example, like I send this article, you've got
- 7:15had we've had times of no sunflower oil, prices might hike
- 7:20in developed countries, but some shortages are starting to be
- 7:23seen as well. One in New York Times, article
- 7:26from May 5 in 2022, was titled sunflower oil, vanishes as the
- 7:31Ukraine war grinds on. We've had, we've had I've
- 7:35noticed just myself in our local supermarkets sunflower oil
- 7:40supplies have been extremely short.
- 7:44Yeah, and then obviously what's made the news recently is baby
- 7:48formula the shortages of baby formula especially in the United
- 7:52States. You know this has been missing
- 7:53from the shelves like I said especially in the u.s. baby
- 7:57formula something that seemed Unthinkable a few years ago, the
- 8:01world's largest and most developed economies now appear,
- 8:05no different than third world countries and decided glassware
- 8:11is this going to lead. So unfortunately it might lead
- 8:16this model, have a domino effect.
- 8:19So what is true is that inner world as interconnected as we
- 8:22live in catastrophic effects of war or they say climate change
- 8:27cannot be missed. Adding to all of this, we've got
- 8:31issues with fuel. We've all seen it that the
- 8:34massive price hikes, you know, fuel is just even if you've got
- 8:39fuel you won't be able to afford to put it in.
- 8:41It's so expensive. So, you know, we agriculture
- 8:46isn't the only front affected by everything that was that will
- 8:50have already mentioned. If Russia cuts the gas to
- 8:54Europe, many countries will face energy and fuel problems.
- 8:58Prices will rise as they already have and food will also be
- 9:02affected. And we again seeing this in
- 9:04Australia because of the massive price hikes in our, in our fuel,
- 9:10our food prices are just, they are skyrocketing as well.
- 9:13However, this this whole article wraps up with the with a very
- 9:19telling subheading to finish it all off a world of peace and
- 9:24stability and it says and it goes on to say the best chance
- 9:29or the best choice is to return to a world of Peace, stability,
- 9:36and trade between countries without difficulties one thing.
- 9:39I don't, I don't really know of a world.
- 9:43Peace. We've had different times.
- 9:46Where, you know, they might seem to have been relative peace, but
- 9:49there's always been conflict somewhere in the world.
- 9:52We haven't had a world of peace and why I found this.
- 9:56This last subtitle subheading to be very interesting, reminded me
- 10:01of a reminded me of a verse in the Bible coming from for 1st
- 10:07Thessalonians 5:3 and it says, when they shall say, peace and
- 10:13safety, Safety. Then sudden destruction cometh
- 10:16upon them as travail upon a woman with child and they shall
- 10:20not Escape. So if you're asking what the
- 10:22heck does that mean J. So what it means is because
- 10:26modern man, basically is was corrupt deceived.
- 10:31He's not going to know, peace or safety, in Isaiah 40:8 22.
- 10:35It says, there is no peace, saith, the Lord unto the wicked.
- 10:41So, think about this. All of the increased security
- 10:45possess pervasive surveillance billions and billions of dollars
- 10:49that governments all over the world.
- 10:51Spend on security are any of our nation's, any safer.
- 10:56And is it ever going to come a time when the government's when
- 10:59the Australian government American government, whatever
- 11:02country you live in? Is it ever going to come a time?
- 11:05When your gun will be able to announce we have enough
- 11:08security? Everyone is safe.
- 11:10We have complete, peace, complete safety.
- 11:13T. It's not going to happen as it
- 11:15says, in Isaiah 57:21. There is no peace, saith.
- 11:19My God to the wicked. When you live in a world that
- 11:22can tin use to deny God continues to walk or to run
- 11:28toward sin continues to to embrace murder or abortion as
- 11:33just a natural thing to do and constantly pushes towards
- 11:36globalization. There is not going to be peace
- 11:40without God and as I said first, Is 53 when they shall say peace
- 11:45and safety. When you have a government
- 11:48standing up and say, hey, we're going to create this one world
- 11:50government and is one leader stands and so, yes, we're going
- 11:53to have peace and safety. I can give you peace and safety
- 11:57throughout the whole world. Then sudden destruction is going
- 12:00to come. Unfortunately, I believe we are
- 12:03going to have that because the Bible talks about it, we are
- 12:06going to have massive food, shortages.
- 12:09We're going to have famine. We're going to have what I
- 12:12believe we are. Are in Australia in this whole
- 12:14region. We are still pushing towards a
- 12:17war, believe it's some live Wars on the horizon, unfortunately,
- 12:21but all these things are coming together.
- 12:23Just as the Bible said, they would, that's my opinion.
- 12:27Thank you for listening to the slippery slope.
