- 0:00Speaker 1: You're waking up to Denver's Morning.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Show with Nina and Josh.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Mix 100.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Some shocking news today on your celebrity quickie. So we
- 0:09Speaker 2: are finding out that Gypsy Rose Blanchard, we found out
- 0:13Speaker 2: her ex-fiance, I think he's her ex-fiance now. has passed
- 0:17Speaker 2: away at the age of 33. So news broke last night.
- 0:21Speaker 2: His name is Ken. He was found unresponsive at his
- 0:24Speaker 2: home in Louisiana, and it was his birthday as well.
- 0:29Speaker 2: This is just an insane story. He was found by
- 0:32Speaker 2: Gypsy's brother, and reports are coming in that a substance
- 0:35Speaker 2: was found with Ken at his home, and as of
- 0:39Speaker 2: right now, it is a suspected overdose. So Gypsy said...
- 0:44Speaker 2: She has tried to text Ken happy birthday the day of.
- 0:47Speaker 2: She never got a response. Gypsy also mentioned that he
- 0:50Speaker 2: was being really badly cyber bullied and he was kind
- 0:54Speaker 2: of in a depressive state. I don't know if that
- 0:55Speaker 2: has anything to do with what happened.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Is that an alibi?
- 0:59Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:01Speaker 1: I'm not going there. I'm just saying it's very hard
- 1:05Speaker 1: not to go there.
- 1:06Speaker 2: I know. Exactly.
- 1:07Speaker 1: I'm just saying.
- 1:08Speaker 2: And that's what's already kind of running rampant on the
- 1:11Speaker 2: internet because this did break, I don't know, 9 p.m. yesterday.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:14Speaker 2: And so the internet had all night to make all
- 1:17Speaker 2: their jokes and all their assumptions. But police are further
- 1:20Speaker 2: investigating his death right now. And Yeah, we're all thinking it, Josh.
- 1:25Speaker 2: We're all thinking it.
- 1:26Speaker 3: What's interesting is when I first saw this, I was
- 1:28Speaker 3: actually in the middle of watching the Krista Pike documentary.
- 1:32Speaker 3: There's a documentary that's on YouTube right now that opened
- 1:35Speaker 3: up like, I don't know, 15 days ago. So I
- 1:37Speaker 3: was watching that and then just kind of mindlessly scrolling
- 1:39Speaker 3: on socials too.
- 1:40Speaker 1: And I see that and I'm like, what is happening?
- 1:43Speaker 2: What's going on?
- 1:44Speaker 1: Like, it just.
- 1:46Speaker 3: it's always gonna look fishy with someone who has gone
- 1:48Speaker 3: to prison for what she is known to going for
- 1:50Speaker 3: prison for.
- 1:51Speaker 1: I mean, killing her mother. it's a weird look. I'm sorry.
- 1:55Speaker 2: And now her fiance, I think they were not together currently.
- 2:00Speaker 2: They do have a child together, but the fact that
- 2:03Speaker 2: she felt the need to immediately say, Oh, well he
- 2:06Speaker 2: was really depressed because he was being very badly cyber bullied. Like,
- 2:10Speaker 2: okay girl, but if this is also a suspected overdose,
- 2:13Speaker 2: like what does that have to do with anything? Why
- 2:14Speaker 2: are we, why are we putting that out there already?
- 2:17Speaker 1: So yeah, very weird news.
- 2:20Speaker 3: I don't understand it, but, We're gonna try to bring
- 2:23Speaker 3: that bad news up with some good news a little bit.
- 2:25Speaker 1: This is a really cool story. A St.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Louis man has spent decades searching for his biological roots
- 2:32Speaker 3: and then all of the sudden just learned a stunning discovery.
- 2:36Speaker 3: His father, after decades of searching, is Doobie Brothers legend
- 2:41Speaker 3: Michael McDonald.
- 2:41Speaker 1: This is crazy.
- 2:43Speaker 3: So Michael Gosling or Gosling, I'm not quite sure how
- 2:46Speaker 3: to say his last name, but Michael is an adopted
- 2:48Speaker 3: infant and after searching for his biological parents for forever,
- 2:52Speaker 3: he began unraveling a weird little mystery from an unknown
- 2:56Speaker 3: half-brother who took that 23andMe test. So on his 58th birthday,
- 3:00Speaker 3: so think about going this, almost 60 years without knowing
- 3:03Speaker 3: who your father is, he finally connected with his birth
- 3:06Speaker 3: mother who spoke by phone with his biological father. And
- 3:09Speaker 3: he said, hey, are you Michael McDonald? And he said, yes,
- 3:13Speaker 3: I'm afraid so, I'm afraid I am, so... McDonald, he's
- 3:17Speaker 3: known for so many hits, like What a Fool Believes
- 3:20Speaker 3: and many, many other. He expressed that he had much
- 3:23Speaker 3: relief to find out that his son has had a
- 3:25Speaker 3: very good life.
- 3:26Speaker 1: He's very excited.
- 3:27Speaker 3: He said the real rock stars of the story are
- 3:29Speaker 3: his adoptive parents. And since then, the two have met
- 3:32Speaker 3: in person and now McDonald's is a grandfather. So all
- 3:35Speaker 3: of a sudden, after not being a grandfather forever, forever,
- 3:38Speaker 3: even though he kind of was, he found out that
- 3:40Speaker 3: he has grandkids too. So it's a really nice story
- 3:42Speaker 3: coming together, but it's one that, you know, one of
- 3:44Speaker 3: those things of always, you know, wanting to be like, Hey,
- 3:47Speaker 3: Maybe I'm adopted and my father's really, really famous.
- 3:49Speaker 1: This is actually true.
- 3:50Speaker 2: This actually happened. Wow, interesting right there. It's Denver's Morning
- 3:54Speaker 2: Show with Josh and Nina on Mix 100. And Josh,
- 3:58Speaker 2: yesterday we had some fun playing around with a video.
- 4:01Speaker 2: We posted up a video because, of course, we have
- 4:03Speaker 2: this Avs giveaway at 8.20. and we're giving away four tickets,
- 4:09Speaker 2: and we decided, you know, let's do another video, just
- 4:11Speaker 2: kind of let people know what's happening. We got with
- 4:14Speaker 2: Big Rob, we were watching the fight that happened at
- 4:16Speaker 2: the game the other day, and I ended up punching
- 4:18Speaker 2: you in the face.
- 4:19Speaker 1: You did. Sorry about that. No, it's okay, it's fine.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Glad you took the rings off. Yeah. really, really sweet
- 4:24Speaker 1: of you.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Yeah, it was good, right?
- 4:26Speaker 3: Yeah, no, we're giving that family four pack away, which
- 4:28Speaker 3: is awesome because there's the loaded tickets and we're doing
- 4:31Speaker 3: all that later at 8.30 today. But yeah, I got
- 4:33Speaker 3: socked in the face and fell to the floor and
- 4:36Speaker 3: now everybody's calling me a wimp.
- 4:37Speaker 1: So it's fantastic. Aww. Love it. No, we love it, Nina.
- 4:41Speaker 1: It's great. It's for the fans. It's for the fans
- 4:43Speaker 1: of hockey and the avalanche, and it's okay.
- 4:45Speaker 2: If anyone has ever wanted to punch Josh in the face,
- 4:48Speaker 2: just know it felt really, really good.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Nina, that list is long.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I bet.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Yeah, it's the J name. That's what happens. It's fine.
- 4:55Speaker 3: Every ex that I watched that video was like, go, girl.
- 4:58Speaker 1: You go, girl.
- 4:58Speaker 2: They were like, yes, thank you.
- 4:59Speaker 1: I think it replayed 18 times or something like that.
- 5:01Speaker 2: It might have. It might have, for sure. Yeah, right
- 5:04Speaker 2: now we are actually live on YouTube. If you want
- 5:06Speaker 2: to check us out, go subscribe at Mix 100 Denver.
- 5:10Speaker 2: It is brought to you by Safeway.

- 5:15Speaker 3: plus same-day deals and rewards as in-store. Start today at Safeway.com
- 5:18Speaker 3: or on the Safeway app.
- 5:20Speaker 2: And because we were at the office a little bit
- 5:22Speaker 2: longer than usual, Josh, yesterday, I didn't get home until
- 5:27Speaker 2: like 1.30, 2 o'clock. Then I'm doing social media stuff,
- 5:30Speaker 2: posting things, da-da-da-da-da. And next thing I know, I'm like, well,
- 5:33Speaker 2: it's basically 2 p.m. I'm eating dinner in three hours,
- 5:36Speaker 2: and I haven't eaten yet. Starving, but I need just
- 5:39Speaker 2: a little something to kind of hold me over till dinner.
- 5:42Speaker 1: A little snacky.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Right, yeah. So I have these backyard garden tomatoes, and
- 5:47Speaker 2: my husband's like, we need to use these ASAP. And
- 5:50Speaker 2: I was like, I'm going to make a tomato sandwich,
- 5:52Speaker 2: because that's what you do when you have some extra
- 5:55Speaker 2: leftover tomatoes. I've been looking forward to my once-a-year tomato sandwich.
- 6:00Speaker 2: And I decided, let me film this. Let me put
- 6:03Speaker 2: it out on the internet. Let me see what the
- 6:05Speaker 2: reaction is. Because I know it's kind of 50-50 when
- 6:08Speaker 2: it comes to tomatoes.
- 6:09Speaker 1: It should not be 50-50.
- 6:10Speaker 3: I have a lot to say about this. First of all,
- 6:13Speaker 3: let's make that once a year tomato sandwich into once
- 6:16Speaker 3: a decade.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Oh, come on. So that's rule number one.
- 6:19Speaker 3: Second of all, just what the heck? I watched the video,
- 6:24Speaker 3: and I think I watched it four times to understand why.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Just what you're doing.
- 6:29Speaker 3: Okay, so my dad, I've always thought, is a little weird, too,
- 6:32Speaker 3: because he could eat a tomato like an apple.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Weird, too.
- 6:34Speaker 3: He loves tomatoes, and I don't like tomatoes to that degree.
- 6:39Speaker 3: If they're on a sandwich, fine, so be it. I've
- 6:40Speaker 3: never seen a sandwich made out of them.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Out of just tomatoes? No. It was tomatoes, mayo, a
- 6:47Speaker 2: little salt on top, and just sandwich bread.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Which, by the way, salt, pepper, if you did add pepper, salt, whatever,
- 6:53Speaker 1: that's good. I like that. That adds some flavor. That
- 6:55Speaker 1: adds some spice to it a little bit. Right, right.
- 6:57Speaker 1: I like that.
- 6:58Speaker 3: The amount, the amount of mayonnaise that was added to
- 7:02Speaker 3: that sandwich is ungodly. Like, like I needed to go
- 7:07Speaker 3: to like confession or something for what I watched.
- 7:09Speaker 1: It was, it was. No, there's no listening to this, Nina.
- 7:14Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I watched and I'm truly like, I love you.
- 7:17Speaker 1: I really do. You are a sweetheart. You are such
- 7:19Speaker 1: a kind woman. You're so sweet. That was gross. That
- 7:24Speaker 1: was really gross. Like, you grossed me out yesterday.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Okay, I will admit, the amount of mayo that I
- 7:29Speaker 2: put on that sandwich, it was a little much. It
- 7:31Speaker 2: was a little much even for me. And I'm a
- 7:33Speaker 2: fan of mayo. Like, say what you want to say. But, yeah,
- 7:36Speaker 2: it was a little much, but I kind of just, like,
- 7:39Speaker 2: did it big for the video. I'm not going to lie.
- 7:41Speaker 2: But I mean, I made a face at how much
- 7:42Speaker 2: mayo I even made in it and put in it.
- 7:45Speaker 2: But here's the thing, Josh. You think that is gross
- 7:48Speaker 2: and disgusting because you don't like tomatoes. Now listen, once
- 7:52Speaker 2: upon a time, I was young and immature and my
- 7:54Speaker 2: taste buds hadn't, Developed yet either so I get it.
- 7:58Speaker 2: I was like you too, and I didn't love tomatoes
- 8:00Speaker 2: either But one day you'll grow up and it will
- 8:03Speaker 2: be okay But I do want to say one thing
- 8:06Speaker 2: because there was a lot of people commenting on the
- 8:08Speaker 2: videos not a single person commented that it was a
- 8:12Speaker 2: disgusting sandwich except for one individual and I was like,
- 8:17Speaker 2: let me see I was like I bet you that
- 8:19Speaker 2: this is a child and Because again, young, immature, undeveloped
- 8:24Speaker 2: taste buds. And I click on the profile, literally is
- 8:27Speaker 2: like a 12-year-old kid. I'm like, first of all, why
- 8:29Speaker 2: are you commenting on my Instagram? Second of all, you
- 8:31Speaker 2: are a child. Like literally a kid.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Well, first of all, it's because he's a massive fan
- 8:36Speaker 3: of Denver's Best Morning Show with Nina and Doc. So
- 8:39Speaker 3: first of all, thank you for commenting on that video.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Second of all, I love the fact that you agree
- 8:44Speaker 3: with me.
- 8:45Speaker 1: And I'm not saying I hate tomatoes, but I've never
- 8:48Speaker 1: seen them be the end pieces of a sandwich. There's
- 8:50Speaker 1: nothing in between except for mayonnaise.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Yeah, in between it was just mayonnaise and tomato and
- 8:55Speaker 2: on some bread.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Can you throw a little turkey or bacon?
- 8:58Speaker 2: I could have, but again, I just needed something simple
- 9:02Speaker 2: and light because I was going to eat dinner in
- 9:04Speaker 2: a few hours.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Next time, go with air. I mean, literally just choose air.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Come on.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Wait, do you want to know what is an added
- 9:11Speaker 2: ingredient that people, multiple people said to put on it
- 9:15Speaker 2: for the next time? Which, basically, they said cheese. Cheese, tomato,
- 9:22Speaker 2: mayo on the bread. But I was like, cheese would.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Honestly, a little separator. Like, give me something. I don't know. Like,
- 9:29Speaker 1: I like tomato on a sandwich. It's fine. Just give
- 9:30Speaker 1: me something else. I don't know.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Fine. Next time, I will cook up turkey bacon because
- 9:36Speaker 2: Josh didn't like my sandwich.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Three things you need to know before you go into
- 9:41Speaker 2: the office today, including more Denver Summit news. So yesterday,
- 9:45Speaker 2: they actually broke ground for... on their new stadium at
- 9:48Speaker 2: Santa Fe Yards. So this is a big deal because
- 9:52Speaker 2: this is only the second dedicated professional women's soccer stadium
- 9:57Speaker 2: in the country.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Yeah, this is really cool.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Yeah. So the fact that they broke ground yesterday, it
- 10:02Speaker 2: is happening is just very, very exciting, not only for Denver,
- 10:06Speaker 2: but of course, everyone on the team and for women's
- 10:08Speaker 2: sports in general. So the stadium is going to be
- 10:11Speaker 2: built at I-25 in South Broadway. It's going to be 14,500 seats,
- 10:15Speaker 2: which that's a pretty big stadium.
- 10:19Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, Ball Arena holds 18, so that's awesome. Exactly.
- 10:22Speaker 1: That's really, really cool.
- 10:23Speaker 2: And they are set to open in 2028, so it's
- 10:26Speaker 2: just very exciting that... Ground was officially broken yesterday, and
- 10:30Speaker 2: they are on their way to constructing this new stadium.
- 10:32Speaker 3: Well, yeah, and right now they're playing at like a
- 10:34Speaker 3: makeshift built stadium right next to, it's not Dove Valley anymore,
- 10:39Speaker 3: but where the Broncos practice facilities are. So right over there.
- 10:42Speaker 3: And I've seen that, and it's a cool stadium. It
- 10:44Speaker 3: just looks like massive bleachers being built up. But the
- 10:47Speaker 3: fact that they're getting their own dedicated stadium for all
- 10:50Speaker 3: of us and the fans to go see, I love that.
- 10:52Speaker 2: I think that's really, really cool. That's the key right there.
- 10:54Speaker 2: And I do love the location. Personally, it's... Nearby my house.
- 10:58Speaker 1: There you go.
- 10:58Speaker 2: So, I mean, once that opens up, I will be
- 11:01Speaker 2: definitely going to some Denver Summit games. So that is exciting.
- 11:04Speaker 1: For selfish reasons. Love it, Nina. No, that's awesome. Yeah. Well, hey,
- 11:07Speaker 1: you know what, Nina? I have some news for you.
- 11:09Speaker 1: You might want to... Well, let me ask you this.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Hold on. Are you a person who ever... leaves a
- 11:15Speaker 1: good or bad review on Yelp when you visit something?
- 11:18Speaker 2: I have before in the past, yes.
- 11:21Speaker 3: Hey, well, you might want to think twice about this
- 11:23Speaker 3: next time because researchers have just found out that looking
- 11:26Speaker 3: through public reviews on Yelp specifically... You can figure out
- 11:30Speaker 3: social connections between other users and yourself, and that's without
- 11:34Speaker 3: looking at any other friends list, like on Facebook or
- 11:37Speaker 3: Instagram or anything. Now, why does that matter at all,
- 11:39Speaker 3: you ask? Because online scammers use those social connections to
- 11:43Speaker 3: make their phishing scams much more believable, okay? This is
- 11:47Speaker 3: when it looks like a friend is texting you or
- 11:49Speaker 3: messaging you on Facebook and saying, hey, I need some
- 11:53Speaker 3: help or what's going on, you know, those types of things.
- 11:55Speaker 3: The good news is that these researchers also tested a
- 11:58Speaker 3: couple ways to protect us. Don't Yelp, essentially.
- 12:01Speaker 1: I mean.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Don't do it.
- 12:02Speaker 3: Essentially, they're like, hey, don't leave a lot of reviews
- 12:05Speaker 3: because if you're just constantly leaving a trail for yourself
- 12:07Speaker 3: and you're the one popping up consistently.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true.
- 12:10Speaker 1: They will target you more often, okay?
- 12:12Speaker 3: So I guess if you really feel like this place
- 12:16Speaker 3: just was awful or really good, you can leave positive reviews.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Or really good and you're like, I have to share
- 12:21Speaker 1: this with people.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Then maybe do it. But other than that, it's kind
- 12:25Speaker 1: of keep your opinions to yourself.
- 12:26Speaker 2: The more you do it, the more you are going
- 12:28Speaker 2: to be targeted.
- 12:29Speaker 1: You're leaving a massive paper trail essentially. Okay.
- 12:31Speaker 2: I mean, that kind of makes sense. And I don't
- 12:33Speaker 2: do it that often. It's if something like really, really
- 12:36Speaker 2: bad happens.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Or really good.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Or really good.
- 12:38Speaker 3: No, but I agree because I've been in those places.
- 12:41Speaker 1: I've been in those restaurants that I'm like, dude. Come on,
- 12:44Speaker 1: what's going on? You want to leave a review.
- 12:46Speaker 2: I mean, I did it for an apartment complex that
- 12:48Speaker 2: was essentially scamming people out of money.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Okay, that's probably a good yelp.
- 12:52Speaker 2: I was like, hey, warning. For real, for real, this
- 12:55Speaker 2: is not a good spot.
- 12:56Speaker 1: To be at.
- 12:57Speaker 3: But it's just we always say we'd never fall for
- 12:58Speaker 3: those phishing scams, and yet we do.
- 13:01Speaker 1: I mean, we really, really do. So just be careful
- 13:03Speaker 1: out there. Maybe don't yelp every day.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Okay, sounds good. So Run on the Rocks is coming
- 13:07Speaker 2: back to Red Rocks next weekend. This benefits the National
- 13:11Speaker 2: Lung Association. Run on the Rocks. This is the only
- 13:14Speaker 2: race that happens at Red Rocks, which is kind of cool.
- 13:18Speaker 2: So it's a 5K course running around Red Rocks. Up
- 13:21Speaker 2: and down inclines, you know, so you're huffing and puffing.
- 13:24Speaker 2: But they also offer a walk, a 1.3 mile walk,
- 13:29Speaker 2: in case you don't feel like running that day.
- 13:32Speaker 1: I don't.
- 13:32Speaker 2: They have live music, entertainment there afterwards. They want you
- 13:37Speaker 2: to try to go up those famous stairs if you can. But, yeah,
- 13:41Speaker 2: afterwards they do, of course, have an after party. I mean,
- 13:43Speaker 2: it is Red Rocks.
- 13:44Speaker 1: You have to, right?
- 13:45Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. But this sounds kind of fun. It is
- 13:48Speaker 2: next weekend, so I will make sure to put that
- 13:50Speaker 2: on the Den 10 next weekend. But if you want
- 13:53Speaker 2: to check out this weekend's Den 10, it is up
- 13:56Speaker 2: at Mix100. com. So make sure you check that out. And
- 14:00Speaker 2: speaking of this Saturday's game. We're going to be there, Josh.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Yeah, this is so awesome.
- 14:05Speaker 3: So you were talking about earlier how you were going
- 14:06Speaker 3: to be there. Then we started giving tickets away. And
- 14:08Speaker 3: I just had major FOMO. I was like, I got
- 14:10Speaker 3: to figure out a way to get there.
- 14:12Speaker 1: And you so generously had an extra ticket. I did.
- 14:14Speaker 1: And it's so, so kind of you that you thought
- 14:16Speaker 1: of me for once.
- 14:17Speaker 3: Finally was able to give me a ticket.
- 14:21Speaker 1: And I was so happy.
- 14:22Speaker 3: I was so excited. I was like, absolutely. So I'm
- 14:24Speaker 3: going to join you. And I'm so excited because I'm...
- 14:26Speaker 3: I'm an Avs fan. I flippin' love them. I bleed hockey.
- 14:30Speaker 1: I grew up playing hockey. I grew up playing and
- 14:33Speaker 1: being a fan of the Avalanche.
- 14:34Speaker 3: Of course. So I was like, yes, of course I
- 14:36Speaker 3: want to go with you.
- 14:37Speaker 1: That sounds awesome.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Well, you're welcome, but you sounded a little sarcastic there.
- 14:41Speaker 2: So next time, I don't know, I'm going to double
- 14:43Speaker 2: think that.
- 14:43Speaker 1: No, I'll buy the drinks. I'll buy something.
- 14:46Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 14:47Speaker 1: I promise I'll make up for it. I promise you.
- 14:49Speaker 1: And look, this is the thing. The Avs are really, really, really.
- 14:52Speaker 3: trying to make that Stanley Cup push and I'm not
- 14:54Speaker 3: trying to jinx anything I'm not but that being said
- 14:57Speaker 3: they're a good team they are a good team so
- 15:00Speaker 3: these are the games you don't want to miss this
- 15:01Speaker 3: year they are fired up especially after that massive win
- 15:04Speaker 3: the other day this is only their second game of
- 15:05Speaker 3: the season yeah this is only their second game of
- 15:07Speaker 3: the season they had a few days off in between
- 15:08Speaker 3: um plus I mean what else would you want to
- 15:10Speaker 3: do on a Saturday night.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Right Absolutely nothing else. So make sure you try to
- 15:15Speaker 2: get into that game as well. So we're giving away
- 15:17Speaker 2: those tickets at about 8.20 and we're going to mix
- 15:21Speaker 2: it up. We kind of changed up the game a
- 15:22Speaker 2: little bit. So if you know your hockey, you watch
- 15:24Speaker 2: a lot of it on TV, you listen to all
- 15:27Speaker 2: the sports reports. That, just in general, may help you
- 15:31Speaker 2: with the game that we have coming up at 820
- 15:33Speaker 2: to win those Avs tickets.
- 15:34Speaker 1: It might.
- 15:35Speaker 3: It's one of those things. I'm not giving too much away. But, again,
- 15:38Speaker 3: playing hockey in my younger years, you just learn a
- 15:42Speaker 3: lot of.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Terms.
- 15:44Speaker 3: And that's, that's, that's what I'm excited for. I'm excited
- 15:47Speaker 3: because it brings me back and it's so funny. So
- 15:49Speaker 3: have you ever been, have you ever been able to
- 15:51Speaker 3: be near or in a hockey locker room?
- 15:54Speaker 2: No, actually no. And I've never even seen it at
- 15:56Speaker 2: ball arena.
- 15:57Speaker 3: So first of all, the one at ball arena is beautiful.
- 15:59Speaker 3: They redid it a couple of years ago. I mean,
- 16:01Speaker 3: it is, it is the, the championship locker room. It's
- 16:03Speaker 3: a beautiful locker room, but that being said, there's a
- 16:06Speaker 3: particular stench in hockey locker rooms.
- 16:09Speaker 1: They are notorious for that.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Sweaty, gross boys.
- 16:11Speaker 1: It's just bad. It's a bad smell.
- 16:14Speaker 3: It smells like no one's washed their shoulder pads or
- 16:18Speaker 3: their jock in decades there, okay? However, it's funny, Nina.
- 16:22Speaker 3: I feel like after years of not being in a
- 16:24Speaker 3: locker room, I miss the smell.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Ew! No, I really do. Josh! No, because it's nostalgic.
- 16:31Speaker 3: You know how it smells like, you know, I'm going
- 16:33Speaker 3: to give you a horrible example here, but people are like,
- 16:35Speaker 3: when I smell the rain, it reminds me of home.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Obviously, that's a great smell. I love the smell of rain.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a nice, decent, good smell.
- 16:43Speaker 3: The wet pavement, yes. But that being said... a smell
- 16:47Speaker 3: can take you back to a certain time and place.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Definitely.
- 16:49Speaker 3: And the locker room smell, no matter how bad it is,
- 16:52Speaker 3: and I promise you, anybody that's played a sport, whether
- 16:55Speaker 3: it's football, where the locker room smells too, hockey, lacrosse, baseball,
- 16:59Speaker 3: text in, let me know if you have a particular
- 17:01Speaker 3: smell that has to do with your sport, and you
- 17:03Speaker 3: miss it.
- 17:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Because it's nostalgic. So 303-691-1649, Texas.
- 17:06Speaker 3: I want to know, If you have a smell that
- 17:09Speaker 3: brings you home, and it's a bad smell. It has
- 17:11Speaker 3: to be a bad smell.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Ew.
- 17:12Speaker 2: But I miss it, Nina. I will say, listen, I
- 17:14Speaker 2: played sports throughout high school, too. And so, like, obviously
- 17:17Speaker 2: we had our locker room and stuff like that. But
- 17:19Speaker 2: I do not miss that smell.
- 17:20Speaker 1: There ain't nothing.
- 17:21Speaker 2: No part of me misses that smell, Josh.
- 17:25Speaker 1: I promise you it does not smell as bad as
- 17:27Speaker 1: a hockey locker room.
- 17:28Speaker 3: No.
- 17:29Speaker 2: No. I don't even want to know what that smells like.
- 17:31Speaker 3: You can have bad cleats, like soccer, whatever. You can
- 17:34Speaker 3: have horrible smelling feet, shoes, whatever. There is nothing worse
- 17:38Speaker 3: than a hockey locker room.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Josh, the next time you try to come for me
- 17:41Speaker 2: for having a disgusting sandwich, 10 minutes later, do not
- 17:44Speaker 2: talk to me about how you miss the smell of
- 17:46Speaker 2: your hockey locker room.
- 17:48Speaker 1: It smells so good.
- 17:49Speaker 2: No, sick. So Halle Berry in a little bit of
- 17:53Speaker 2: legal trouble right now. This is a bit of a shock, Josh.
- 17:56Speaker 2: So Halle Berry has been served with a restraining order.
- 18:00Speaker 2: against her ex-husband and her son. So Halle's ex, Oliver Martinez,
- 18:06Speaker 2: claims that their son had called him and told him
- 18:09Speaker 2: that Halle physically attacked him. This claim is apparently not
- 18:14Speaker 2: an isolated incident. They say that other moments like this
- 18:18Speaker 2: have happened in the past, and Halle Berry has been
- 18:21Speaker 2: ordered by a judge to stay 100 yards away from
- 18:25Speaker 2: her ex, And she will be allowed to see her son,
- 18:27Speaker 2: but only during court-ordered visitation, which is two days a
- 18:30Speaker 2: week and every other weekend until their hearing, which is mid-October.
- 18:35Speaker 3: I mean, you hate to hear that because it obviously
- 18:37Speaker 3: involves a child and you do not want to hear
- 18:40Speaker 3: anything bad or about abuse with a kid.
- 18:43Speaker 2: No, no.
- 18:44Speaker 1: But it is shocking. I mean, you always kind of hold...
- 18:47Speaker 1: celebrities in a higher regard, right? Exactly.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Whether that's to a fault or not. She's such a
- 18:52Speaker 2: beloved actress.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 18:54Speaker 2: I think not only for her movies, and yes, of course,
- 18:56Speaker 2: her looks and things like that, but just as a
- 18:58Speaker 2: person in the past, she's always seemed like you know,
- 19:02Speaker 2: a good head on her shoulders, she's been okay, this
- 19:04Speaker 2: and that. But to hear something like this, like you said,
- 19:07Speaker 2: with claims of abuse towards a child, it's very concerning
- 19:10Speaker 2: and it really makes you kind of look at her
- 19:12Speaker 2: a little differently.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Definitely.
- 19:13Speaker 3: And I think it's bringing to light a lot of
- 19:15Speaker 3: things of Hollywood, how we hold these people in such
- 19:18Speaker 3: high regard. And they are humans just like us. Now,
- 19:20Speaker 3: I'm not making any excuse, but they make mistakes. You know,
- 19:22Speaker 3: they do things the wrong way sometimes. Right.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Well, this is an interesting story.
- 19:26Speaker 3: Meghan Markle is back in the news.
- 19:27Speaker 1: She has launched a new advent calendar. Have you ever
- 19:30Speaker 1: had an advent calendar?
- 19:31Speaker 2: Yes, and I love them, and I wish I did
- 19:33Speaker 2: them yearly. I just forget.
- 19:35Speaker 3: So again, I'm a little nerdy. I always get the
- 19:38Speaker 3: Star Wars Lego advent calendar.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Every time, Josh?
- 19:41Speaker 1: Yeah, pretty much every year.
- 19:42Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 19:43Speaker 1: I like it.
- 19:44Speaker 3: It's fun, but she is releasing a $ 150 advent calendar,
- 19:49Speaker 3: and she's in partnership with a Los Angeles chocolatier company
- 19:51Speaker 3: called Compartes, I believe. The calendar features 24 hand- This
- 19:56Speaker 3: is the big deal. Handcrafted chocolates averaging $ 6 each.
- 20:00Speaker 1: So for each chocolate.
- 20:01Speaker 2: I know.
- 20:02Speaker 1: I know.
- 20:02Speaker 3: Flavors include the norms like strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, and orange marmalade.
- 20:07Speaker 3: And it's inspired by As Ever's jam collection. I believe
- 20:10Speaker 3: that's her brand. It's called As Ever.
- 20:12Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 20:13Speaker 1: The countdown numbers are hand-painted, Nina, in edible gold, okay?
- 20:18Speaker 2: Are you supposed to be licking the box on the outside?
- 20:21Speaker 2: What is the point of that?
- 20:22Speaker 1: That's my question. I don't know.
- 20:23Speaker 3: It's hand-painted in edible gold, so I don't know if
- 20:25Speaker 3: we're Willy Wonka-ing this thing and licking the walls.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Exactly. But it's using Meghan Markle's own penmanship, okay?
- 20:32Speaker 3: So this calendar is now on sale if you want
- 20:34Speaker 3: to spend $ 150 on it.
- 20:37Speaker 1: It's different. It's $ 28 more than Compartez's standard advent calendar. However,
- 20:43Speaker 1: I looked this up.
- 20:44Speaker 3: The Compartez luxury brand that they have They have alternative
- 20:49Speaker 3: advent calendars for as much as almost $ 400.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Wow.
- 20:51Speaker 3: So I don't know where they're getting this chocolate. Yeah,
- 20:55Speaker 3: I don't know where they're getting this stuff, but apparently
- 20:58Speaker 3: you can buy really, really expensive chocolates. So I guess
- 21:01Speaker 3: hers is kind of middle of the road, but I
- 21:02Speaker 3: don't think I've ever spent $ 150. No, not on chocolates.
- 21:05Speaker 2: I mean, I've bought fancy chocolates, and yes, it can
- 21:07Speaker 2: be pricey for gifts. I've done Mother's Day, and you know.
- 21:11Speaker 2: buy fancy chocolates and stuff like that.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Yeah, but how much are these chocolates?
- 21:14Speaker 2: Not $ 150. That's what I'm saying. No. So yeah, I
- 21:18Speaker 2: think it's because her name is attached to it and
- 21:20Speaker 2: all the handmade stuff. But still, still, that's a lot
- 21:23Speaker 2: for an advent calendar.
- 21:23Speaker 1: It is. I think I'll be skipping that one this year. Sorry, Megan.
- 21:26Speaker 2: And Hayden Panettiere's family said that they support Hayden's ex
- 21:30Speaker 2: to seek legal guardianship over their 11-year-old daughter, Kaya. So
- 21:34Speaker 2: he's doing this to help protect her because she is
- 21:37Speaker 2: the sole individual to take on Hayden's assets because no
- 21:40Speaker 2: will was made when Hayden passed away, so it's going
- 21:43Speaker 2: to her daughter. And the family says that, hey, they
- 21:46Speaker 2: support this 100%. He's a great father. They think that
- 21:49Speaker 2: he has his daughter's best interest at heart. And he
- 21:52Speaker 2: is truly doing this to support their daughter and for
- 21:55Speaker 2: no other reason behind it. So they're 100% behind this move.
- 21:59Speaker 2: And finally, some good news coming from one of these
- 22:02Speaker 2: Hollywood families.
- 22:02Speaker 1: That's what I was going to say.
- 22:03Speaker 2: Lately, it's been so doom and gloom.
- 22:05Speaker 1: It really has.
- 22:05Speaker 3: And I'm very excited for his daughter, especially because with
- 22:10Speaker 3: everything that's been going on, it's just bad news after
- 22:12Speaker 3: bad news after bad news. I'm glad that he seems
- 22:15Speaker 3: like he's got a good head on his shoulders. He's
- 22:16Speaker 3: a good father. He obviously loves her. He is her
- 22:19Speaker 3: father and is apparently going to take care of her, and.
- 22:22Speaker 1: I love that.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Three things you need to know before you go into
- 22:24Speaker 2: the office today, including something no one asked for, Tombstone Pizza.
- 22:29Speaker 2: They're getting weird for Halloween, Josh.
- 22:31Speaker 1: What is it?
- 22:31Speaker 2: They are offering candy corn pizza kits.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Come on!
- 22:37Speaker 2: You are not excited for this.
- 22:38Speaker 1: I would try this in a heartbeat. Are you kidding me? Okay.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Missed tomato sandwich earlier, sorry. Listen, that's normal. Not bringing
- 22:44Speaker 1: the past.
- 22:45Speaker 2: A tomato sandwich is normal. A candy corn pizza, absolutely not.
- 22:49Speaker 1: You know what, Nina?
- 22:50Speaker 3: I bet the first person to ever throw pineapple on
- 22:52Speaker 3: pizza was looked at sideways too, okay?
- 22:54Speaker 1: They were, they absolutely were.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Okay, so these pizza kits go on sale today on
- 22:59Speaker 2: their website. So it's a pepperoni pizza with a side
- 23:03Speaker 2: of candy corn. that you're supposed to sprinkle on top
- 23:08Speaker 2: of a pepperoni pizza.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Okay. Yeah. Might have been pre-celebration early right there.
- 23:14Speaker 2: You were talking too soon.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Pepperonis in that, I'm not a huge sweet and savory fan.
- 23:21Speaker 2: Yeah, but that's essentially, no matter what though, this would
- 23:23Speaker 2: be sweet and savory with the sauce and the cheese.
- 23:26Speaker 3: I was kind of thinking maybe it was gonna be
- 23:27Speaker 3: like a special candy pizza.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Oh, see that would have maybe have been okay. Maybe
- 23:34Speaker 2: that would have been okay.
- 23:36Speaker 1: I love pizza. I love candy corn. I'm still trying it.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Don't care. Okay.
- 23:39Speaker 2: Well, because you want to try it, you can absolutely
- 23:42Speaker 2: do that. It goes on sale today starting at 11
- 23:44Speaker 2: o'clock Mountain Time on their website. But because we know
- 23:47Speaker 2: it's going to be so rushed for, they're limiting one
- 23:50Speaker 2: pizza kit per order per household.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Okay. I don't know. They'll probably be able to change
- 23:55Speaker 1: that in a couple weeks. I don't know if it's
- 23:56Speaker 1: going to be a sellout.
- 23:57Speaker 2: They're going to be like, please, someone take these.
- 23:59Speaker 1: They're going to just offer it with any other purchase
- 24:01Speaker 1: of a pizza? I don't know. I'd still want to
- 24:03Speaker 1: try it. I like it. Well, the world's largest steam
- 24:06Speaker 1: locomotive is returning to Colorado, and this is cool. It's
- 24:09Speaker 1: on a limited holiday tour. So Union Pacific's big boy,
- 24:12Speaker 1: that's number 4014, it's the massive train they have, will
- 24:16Speaker 1: make its first ever holiday tour with a trip from
- 24:19Speaker 1: Cheyenne to Denver.
- 24:20Speaker 3: So the massive locomotive is set to make a one-day
- 24:22Speaker 3: stop in Denver going on display to the public on
- 24:26Speaker 3: November 21st. That's a Saturday for anybody wanting to go
- 24:29Speaker 3: see that. And the public is also being offered a
- 24:32Speaker 3: very rare chance to buy tickets and ride the same
- 24:35Speaker 3: train from Cheyenne to Denver.
- 24:37Speaker 1: And Nina, get this. Mrs. Claus and Santa Claus are
- 24:40Speaker 1: going to make an appearance on there.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Oh!
- 24:43Speaker 1: I know, I love this.
- 24:44Speaker 3: So those tickets, if you want to go on this trip,
- 24:47Speaker 3: for those who are part of the Union Pacific Railroad Museum,
- 24:50Speaker 3: so you can be like a sign-up early rewards member there,
- 24:54Speaker 3: those tickets will go on sale October 16th, and the
- 24:57Speaker 3: remaining tickets will be on sale Monday, October 19th to
- 25:01Speaker 3: get those tickets to go ride Big Boy.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Now, I've seen Big Boy. It is a hit. huge
- 25:07Speaker 1: train nina this thing is 1.2 million pounds okay and.
- 25:10Speaker 2: I'm talking just the front that's crazy.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Actual coal locomotive right there.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Not even the rest of the train not the.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Cars wow just the choo-choo part of the train yeah
- 25:21Speaker 1: yeah is 1.2 million pounds and to be able to
- 25:23Speaker 1: see this in person is actually quite a treat so
- 25:25Speaker 1: i would say if you can't go ride it from
- 25:27Speaker 1: cheyenne to denver on saturday november 21st go down there
- 25:29Speaker 1: and check it out it's see it it's really neat.
- 25:32Speaker 2: It makes you feel small They don't call it big
- 25:34Speaker 2: boy for nothing.
- 25:34Speaker 1: I feel that way every day, but yes, yes, yes
- 25:37Speaker 1: it does.
- 25:39Speaker 2: All right, the third thing you need to know is
- 25:40Speaker 2: that the Den 10 is up and available at mix100. com.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Josh and I put together a list every week of
- 25:47Speaker 2: things to do every weekend, and this weekend is... It
- 25:51Speaker 2: is filled with so much fall fun for the beginning
- 25:54Speaker 2: of October. We have Cider Days, and Mix 100 is
- 25:57Speaker 2: going to be at Cider Days this Saturday and Sunday.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Cider Days is always so, so much fun to go to.
- 26:02Speaker 2: It's kind of the kickoff. of fall for me, I
- 26:05Speaker 2: feel like.
- 26:05Speaker 1: No, it really is. I agree with you, yeah.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Go and check that out. We have info on Cider
- 26:09Speaker 2: Days at Mix100. com. What else is going on this weekend?
- 26:12Speaker 2: We have a First Friday art show over at Bear Creek.
- 26:15Speaker 2: That's always very fun. That's today, actually, since it's First Friday.
- 26:20Speaker 2: We have a couple of shows going on Saturday and Sunday.
- 26:24Speaker 2: Leslie Jones is going to be at the Paramount Theater
- 26:27Speaker 2: There's all sorts of farmers markets still happening, and those
- 26:29Speaker 2: farmers markets are only going to be here for a
- 26:31Speaker 2: little while longer. So if you haven't been to one yet,
- 26:34Speaker 2: you gotta go. But you can check out all these
- 26:37Speaker 2: things and so much more because there are way more
- 26:40Speaker 2: than 10 things on this list. Don't go check out
- 26:43Speaker 2: the Den 10. It is up at mix100. com. Your celebrity quickie.
- 26:49Speaker 2: While we are in the middle of 90 minutes commercial clean,
- 26:52Speaker 2: it is brought to you by Zero Res, now offering
- 26:54Speaker 2: three rooms cleaned for $ 115 and $ 100 off your air
- 26:58Speaker 2: duct cleaning. Go to zerores.com to book today. So we
- 27:03Speaker 2: really need to talk about Gypsy Rose Blanchard. Have you
- 27:06Speaker 2: seen this? How could you not see it? It's literally everywhere.
- 27:11Speaker 2: So Gypsy's ex-fiance and baby daddy, they do have a
- 27:15Speaker 2: child together. His name is Ken Urker. He has passed
- 27:18Speaker 2: away at the age of 33. So this news broke
- 27:21Speaker 2: last night, and Ken was found unresponsive at his home
- 27:25Speaker 2: in Louisiana, and it was his birthday. So he was
- 27:29Speaker 2: found at his house by Gypsy's brother, who I guess
- 27:32Speaker 2: was just coming to check on him. We're not sure.
- 27:34Speaker 2: But reports are coming in now that a substance was
- 27:39Speaker 2: found with Ken at his home, and it is a
- 27:42Speaker 2: suspected overdose. That's officially what the reports are saying as
- 27:47Speaker 2: of right now. Gypsy said that she texted Ken happy
- 27:50Speaker 2: birthday yesterday. She never got a response. But the weird
- 27:53Speaker 2: part about this, listen, we're all thinking it, right? Because
- 27:56Speaker 2: it involves Gypsy Rose Blanchard. We know her history, everything
- 28:00Speaker 2: that happened with her mom, and she went to jail,
- 28:02Speaker 2: and now this has happened with her fiancé, ex-fiancé. So
- 28:07Speaker 2: we're all thinking it, right? The weird part about this
- 28:10Speaker 2: for me is that Gypsy felt the need yesterday to—
- 28:14Speaker 2: before we even knew that this was a suspected overdose—
- 28:18Speaker 2: She felt the need to say he's been really depressed lately.
- 28:22Speaker 2: He's been cyber bullied pretty badly lately. It's been really
- 28:26Speaker 2: affecting his mental health, all this and that. And I
- 28:29Speaker 2: just feel it's very weird that she brought that up
- 28:33Speaker 2: first thing before we knew anything about what happened.
- 28:36Speaker 3: There's probably two reasons for that. One, she's probably like,
- 28:38Speaker 3: I've already been guilty of a murder one time. I
- 28:40Speaker 3: am telling you right now, it was not me.
- 28:42Speaker 2: It wasn't me.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Or she's trying to create an alibi. I mean, you know.
- 28:46Speaker 2: I don't know, I don't know.
- 28:47Speaker 1: Look, I am not, you are innocent until proven guilty. 100%.
- 28:51Speaker 3: I am not saying anything, I'm just saying for someone
- 28:54Speaker 3: who's already done something like this.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Yeah, it's hard.
- 28:57Speaker 1: You're gonna be a suspect.
- 28:58Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, immediately. And all the fingers are gonna be
- 29:01Speaker 2: pointed at you, which is currently what is happening right
- 29:03Speaker 2: now with Gypsy Rose. The internet has been going wild
- 29:06Speaker 2: overnight over this whole thing. I mean, still continuing through today.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Hopefully we get more answers throughout the weekend. Police are
- 29:14Speaker 2: going to be investigating this, obviously, some more to see
- 29:18Speaker 2: what exactly has happened, do a toxicology report, all of that.
- 29:22Speaker 2: But it was just weird that Gypsy felt the need
- 29:25Speaker 2: immediately to be like, oh, well, he was really depressed.
- 29:27Speaker 1: Right off the bat.
- 29:28Speaker 2: Well, what does that have to do with anything?
- 29:30Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 29:31Speaker 2: So, I don't know. It's just really weird. We're all
- 29:33Speaker 2: thinking the same thing, but no one is allowed to
- 29:36Speaker 2: say it out loud. But this is very interesting.
- 29:38Speaker 1: Such an odd situation. I cannot wait to see how
- 29:41Speaker 1: this plays out, to be honest.
- 29:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:42Speaker 3: Either way, it's going to be very interesting. And also
- 29:44Speaker 3: someone did lose their life here. That is an incredibly
- 29:46Speaker 3: sad story.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Yes. Awful. Only 33 years old.
- 29:49Speaker 2: And he was a father to a little girl that
- 29:51Speaker 2: they share together. So let's be tried our best, you know,
- 29:54Speaker 2: to be respectful and to keep the entire family in
- 29:58Speaker 2: our thoughts.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Yeah, well, Riley Green is in the news now. The
- 30:00Speaker 1: new voice coach, he's got a video popping up online
- 30:05Speaker 1: now because of him being on The Voice, and it's
- 30:08Speaker 1: an interesting video, and it's not something I wanted to
- 30:11Speaker 1: see at all. He turned a post-show challenge, Nina, into
- 30:17Speaker 1: an emergency room. So this is from a couple years ago.
- 30:19Speaker 1: While performing at the Floribama Club, The Florida-Alabama state line, Green,
- 30:24Speaker 1: accepted a friendly arm wrestling challenge from someone who was
- 30:28Speaker 1: at the concert, okay? Okay. He was doing this.
- 30:31Speaker 3: Apparently, he defeated a few more guys, and this big, strong,
- 30:34Speaker 3: jacked guy came up and was like, I'd like to
- 30:35Speaker 3: arm wrestle you, Riley Green.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 30:37Speaker 1: He was like, all right, let's do it.
- 30:38Speaker 3: So he goes, in quotes, some guy was like, hey,
- 30:40Speaker 3: let's arm wrestle. And he was like, all right, sounds good.
- 30:42Speaker 3: I will oblige you. The crowd eventually all gathered around
- 30:46Speaker 3: him and brought their strongest challenger out. And it was
- 30:48Speaker 3: a big guy, he said. And so Green was like, okay,
- 30:51Speaker 3: let's start doing this. I want to arm wrestle you
- 30:53Speaker 3: as well. Riley's a jacked guy as well.
- 30:55Speaker 2: He's like, let's go.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely.
- 30:58Speaker 3: So he starts to arm wrestle this guy and almost
- 31:00Speaker 3: immediately the man's arm buckles underneath the stress and snapped
- 31:06Speaker 3: his arm in half. He snapped it in half. He
- 31:09Speaker 3: had his arm laid over the table. An ambulance came
- 31:12Speaker 3: and got him. He goes, I felt really horrible about
- 31:14Speaker 3: it and asked about the whole incident and if this
- 31:16Speaker 3: man was a fan.
- 31:17Speaker 1: Riley replied, I don't know, probably not anymore.
- 31:20Speaker 2: Probably not anymore, like pay my hospital bills and maybe.
- 31:23Speaker 3: Nina, I did not mean to stumble upon this video,
- 31:27Speaker 3: but when I say his arm snapped in half.
- 31:29Speaker 2: So his arm broke, he had a broken arm.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Riley broke his arm, snapped it in half like a toothpick.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Oh, no.
- 31:35Speaker 3: It was disgusting, but also kind of a rare bragging
- 31:39Speaker 3: point for Riley Greene. Like, not only am I a
- 31:40Speaker 3: great singer, I'm so strong that I can break people's arms.
- 31:43Speaker 2: Like, check out this guy. And he was buff, too.
- 31:45Speaker 1: Yeah, ridiculous.
- 31:46Speaker 2: Oh, that's so ee, ee, ee.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Yucky! Yes.
- 31:49Speaker 2: And I'm still sad that Jelly Roll and Bunny XO
- 31:52Speaker 2: are getting divorced, but it is moving along, and so
- 31:55Speaker 2: are they. They just listed their shared Nashville home for
- 31:58Speaker 2: $ 7 million today. This was the house that they primarily
- 32:02Speaker 2: stayed in, so it truly is the end of an era.
- 32:05Speaker 2: I mean, their divorce was finalized in July. So technically
- 32:08Speaker 2: the era is over already.
- 32:10Speaker 1: I think they're both dating, aren't they?
- 32:11Speaker 2: Yeah, they're both already moved on.
- 32:13Speaker 3: Yeah, Bunny's getting with like a 24-year-old. That's what I've heard.
- 32:16Speaker 2: I think he's like an influencer, I think.
- 32:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm like, okay, girl, get it, whatever.
- 32:20Speaker 2: Exactly. But they say the split was a mutual decision.
- 32:23Speaker 2: So they are both dating separately. They handled everything privately
- 32:28Speaker 2: with the divorce. But part of that was including, obviously,
- 32:31Speaker 2: getting rid of their homes, their shared assets and things
- 32:33Speaker 2: like that. but a $ 7 million price tag if anyone's
- 32:36Speaker 2: house shopping in Nashville.
- 32:38Speaker 1: Pour them, 3.5 each.
- 32:39Speaker 2: I know, right? Exactly. Three things you need to know
- 32:43Speaker 2: before you go into the office today, like cell phones.
- 32:46Speaker 2: There is a movement in a lot of restaurants to
- 32:48Speaker 2: ban cell phones at the table, much like the old
- 32:52Speaker 2: non-smoking sections that used to be around. So this is
- 32:55Speaker 2: the new version of that. It's clever. Yeah, they're offering
- 32:59Speaker 2: things like a free bottle of wine, free ice cream.
- 33:03Speaker 2: A percentage off of your check if you do not
- 33:06Speaker 2: have your phone at the table. I really like this movement,
- 33:09Speaker 2: but yeah, no cell phones while sitting down at restaurants
- 33:12Speaker 2: is becoming more and more popular, so I can't wait
- 33:16Speaker 2: to see it more in Denver.
- 33:17Speaker 1: No, I'm into it. Put the phone down and talk
- 33:18Speaker 1: to the people across the table from you. Totally. That
- 33:20Speaker 1: is awesome. All right, Nina, when we talk about smell
- 33:23Speaker 1: of cities usually, it's.
- 33:24Speaker 3: Not a compliment, right? People talk about how incredibly bad
- 33:27Speaker 3: cities smell.
- 33:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:28Speaker 3: Well, a new study has just shown that there are
- 33:30Speaker 3: the best smelling cities that have come out. They smell
- 33:33Speaker 3: like local candy stores or bakeries or whatever around the city,
- 33:36Speaker 3: all right?
- 33:36Speaker 1: Now, number one was Boston. However, Denver did make the
- 33:41Speaker 1: top ten. We are number seven best smelling city in America, actually.
- 33:45Speaker 2: All right. It's because of all the trees and the
- 33:48Speaker 2: mountain air, everything like that, right?
- 33:50Speaker 1: You'd think so.
- 33:50Speaker 3: And I think just being up higher with the thinner atmosphere,
- 33:53Speaker 3: we have cleaner air.
- 33:54Speaker 1: Like, genuinely, that's a thing. Smog does not stay as long,
- 33:57Speaker 1: I understand. Okay.
- 33:58Speaker 3: Denver can have the brown cloud. But hey, we are
- 34:00Speaker 3: still top 10 in cleanest cities. Some of the worst
- 34:03Speaker 3: ones overall, number one. was Jacksonville, Florida, followed by Oklahoma City.
- 34:07Speaker 1: Oh, okay. I don't know.
- 34:08Speaker 3: I can understand Jacksonville. You always hear about Florida men
- 34:10Speaker 3: and women down there, so I get that. But hey,
- 34:12Speaker 3: we're not number one in the worst smelling cities.
- 34:14Speaker 2: That's great. I will definitely take that. All right. And DoorDash,
- 34:18Speaker 2: they're trying to get you your food faster with drone delivery.
- 34:22Speaker 2: So this is being tested right now in Northern California,
- 34:25Speaker 2: but they say 80% of orders are light enough to
- 34:27Speaker 2: be carried by drone and Their initial tests show delivery
- 34:31Speaker 2: times from the restaurant to your door in under five minutes.
- 34:36Speaker 2: If it is flown through the air by drone and
- 34:39Speaker 2: just dropped down. It has this little, like, table that
- 34:41Speaker 2: retracts and drops this box. But, yeah, you can't order
- 34:44Speaker 2: too much. You cannot be ordering for, like, a family
- 34:47Speaker 2: of five, unfortunately. It's going to be too heavy for
- 34:50Speaker 2: the drone, so it's lighter orders, but it's... Being tested
- 34:54Speaker 2: by DoorDash, it.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Could be coming soon.
- 34:55Speaker 2: I mean, why not?
- 34:55Speaker 1: Walmart does it. I understand. Amazon does it.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 34:59Speaker 1: We can't stop it.
- 35:00Speaker 2: No, drones all over the air. Good lord. Good morning
- 35:04Speaker 2: from Denver's Morning Show with Nina and Josh on Mix 100.
- 35:07Speaker 2: And next weekend is the Elitch Gardens Pet Parade, which
- 35:11Speaker 2: is exciting. It's part of Fright Fest every year. But
- 35:13Speaker 2: this is the first year that Mix 100 is going
- 35:15Speaker 2: to be part of it. So that happens next Saturday,
- 35:19Speaker 2: October 10th from noon until 3. And part of that
- 35:23Speaker 2: is going to be a costume contest for all the
- 35:27Speaker 2: pets that come through Elitch Gardens that day. So there's
- 35:30Speaker 2: going to be prizes and all sorts of stuff. I
- 35:32Speaker 2: was asked to be a judge. And while I am
- 35:36Speaker 2: very excited about it, I was also asked, like, hey,
- 35:39Speaker 2: it would be fun if you brought your dog. Of course. Now,
- 35:42Speaker 2: there's only one dog that I can bring because the
- 35:44Speaker 2: other one doesn't really love other dogs. You know what
- 35:46Speaker 2: I mean?
- 35:46Speaker 1: He's going to eat the other ones?
- 35:47Speaker 2: Yeah, one of those situations.
- 35:48Speaker 1: That's all right. Okay, okay.
- 35:49Speaker 2: So he's going to stay home, but my other dog
- 35:51Speaker 2: is friendly with other pups and kids and people. So
- 35:55Speaker 2: I'm going to bring him. And I'm excited to bring him.
- 35:58Speaker 2: His name is Bonzo. And he's a Red Heeler mix.
- 36:02Speaker 2: But I have been trying to figure out, since I'm
- 36:04Speaker 2: going to bring him, I have to bring him in
- 36:06Speaker 2: a costume. Of course. Obviously. And to keep it fair,
- 36:10Speaker 2: I won't enter him in the costume contest, but.
- 36:13Speaker 1: That would be a bias. All right, that's a conflict
- 36:15Speaker 1: of interest right there.
- 36:16Speaker 2: Right, exactly. But I still wanted to dress him up
- 36:18Speaker 2: in a costume. And so I went through my Halloween
- 36:22Speaker 2: bin yesterday. I mean, my living room is a mess.
- 36:24Speaker 2: It's just... pumpkins everywhere. But I have a couple of
- 36:28Speaker 2: dog costumes from the years. And I was like, let
- 36:31Speaker 2: me see what I have to see if we want
- 36:33Speaker 2: to reuse something this year. So one of his costumes,
- 36:36Speaker 2: I was so sad. He outgrew it. And I'm like, oh,
- 36:39Speaker 2: my guy is getting so big.
- 36:41Speaker 1: Which one was that, do you remember? It was a.
- 36:43Speaker 2: Triceratops dinosaur one.
- 36:45Speaker 1: That's adorable.
- 36:46Speaker 2: Which would have been so cute. That's perfect. But it
- 36:49Speaker 2: does not fit him anymore. So I can't use that one.
- 36:52Speaker 2: The other one that I have is a taco toy.
- 36:56Speaker 1: Which is fun. That's freaking cute. Right.
- 36:58Speaker 2: It's like a yellow taco shell. He'll be a little
- 37:01Speaker 2: taco dog. Uh, or I have a shark costume, which
- 37:06Speaker 2: is pretty cool. It has the fins and everything, but
- 37:08Speaker 2: it is a little bit big for him and the
- 37:10Speaker 2: fins have like stuffing in it. So it's kind of weighted.
- 37:13Speaker 1: It's going to flop around and it kind of is.
- 37:14Speaker 2: Going to like fall off of him. So I'm like,
- 37:17Speaker 2: I could use the taco, but then I wanted to
- 37:19Speaker 2: do kind of like a matching costume with him. I
- 37:21Speaker 2: was like, what do I dress up as?
- 37:22Speaker 1: Okay, so that was my question. Are you going to
- 37:24Speaker 1: be dressing up for this as well?
- 37:25Speaker 2: Yeah, well, yeah.
- 37:26Speaker 1: I want to get into the spirit. Girl, we got options.
- 37:29Speaker 1: We got options for days then, right?
- 37:31Speaker 2: That's the thing. I think I'm going to have to
- 37:33Speaker 2: either go to Spirit Halloween, spend a million dollars on.
- 37:36Speaker 1: A costume, or come up with something.
- 37:39Speaker 2: Yeah, or maybe thrift shop for one. They have a
- 37:41Speaker 2: lot of great costumes, dog costumes at thrift shops too.
- 37:44Speaker 1: You know what would be easy?
- 37:45Speaker 3: One thing that just comes to my mind right away.
- 37:47Speaker 3: I mean, you could make him thing one, you thing
- 37:49Speaker 3: two from Dr. Seuss.
- 37:51Speaker 2: Oh, that's cute.
- 37:51Speaker 3: All you need is a red vest, essentially, and then
- 37:54Speaker 3: just a little circle that says thing one and two
- 37:56Speaker 3: on there.
- 37:56Speaker 2: Thing one, thing two.
- 37:57Speaker 1: Okay, that's good. That could do that.
- 37:59Speaker 2: But yes, that's exactly what I'm looking for, Josh. I'm
- 38:01Speaker 2: looking for help figuring out what I could dress up
- 38:04Speaker 2: as along with my dog. So I need those ideas.
- 38:08Speaker 2: If you have any for me, please text us, 303-691-1MIX.
- 38:10Speaker 2: I am so desperate. to figure this out, because it's
- 38:14Speaker 2: one week from tomorrow. So I don't have that much time.
- 38:18Speaker 1: That is sneaking up.
- 38:19Speaker 2: It is one week from tomorrow to get two costumes,
- 38:22Speaker 2: one for him, one for me.
- 38:23Speaker 3: Well, I like the ideas of matching, first of all.
- 38:26Speaker 3: That's a really good one. You guys could go as
- 38:28Speaker 3: a couple of s'mores, and I feel like that would
- 38:29Speaker 3: be really easy. Two pieces of cardboard on either side
- 38:33Speaker 3: of you and maybe make it look, maybe wear a white, look,
- 38:35Speaker 3: white shirt and two pieces of cardboard.
- 38:37Speaker 2: Okay, that could be fun.
- 38:38Speaker 1: And then if you wanted to, something kind of looking
- 38:40Speaker 1: like chocolate for both of y'all. Uh-huh, uh-huh. That could
- 38:42Speaker 1: be easy.
- 38:42Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know. There's ones that you could
- 38:44Speaker 3: go to. I always see the animal costumes. The Chucky
- 38:47Speaker 3: one is famous.
- 38:47Speaker 2: Well, I was so sad that his dinosaur costume didn't
- 38:50Speaker 2: fit him anymore because then I could dress up as
- 38:53Speaker 2: like a Jurassic Park ranger with the dinosaur costume. Oh, shoot.
- 38:56Speaker 2: I know, but it doesn't fit him anymore. I can't
- 39:00Speaker 2: use it. There's no way.
- 39:01Speaker 1: Want to just get a new one? That would be
- 39:03Speaker 1: a really good one.
- 39:04Speaker 2: It would be really cute.
- 39:05Speaker 1: I like that. What are the other ones you could do?
- 39:08Speaker 1: There's always a Harry Potter one. I know you could
- 39:10Speaker 1: do that. He could be a little wizard with you.
- 39:13Speaker 1: That's kind of cute.
- 39:13Speaker 2: He could be Harry Potter. I could go as Hermione.
- 39:16Speaker 2: I have a red wig.
- 39:17Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh. Okay.
- 39:18Speaker 2: Right?
- 39:18Speaker 1: Something. That could totally be good. You could also be...
- 39:21Speaker 1: This would be cute. There's a UPS.
- 39:22Speaker 3: you're the parcel delivery person, and then your dog is
- 39:27Speaker 3: the package.
- 39:28Speaker 1: That's kind of cute.
- 39:29Speaker 2: Oh, that would be cute.
- 39:30Speaker 1: That one's not bad, I like that.
- 39:32Speaker 2: My arm's gonna fall off holding him the whole time, though,
- 39:34Speaker 2: because he outgrew that costume, I'm telling you.
- 39:37Speaker 1: That's true, he's big. He's heavy. He ain't no lap dog.
