- 0:00Titus chapter 1. Let's pray God Almighty, the
- 0:09Lord who reigns on high, we thank you Father, for another
- 0:13day. God, we enter in with praise and
- 0:16Thanksgiving. God, we come in waving the palm
- 0:19branches, screaming out, hosanna, hosanna in the highest.
- 0:26You are holy, you are high, you are lifted up, you are meek and
- 0:31mild and tender and loving and we love you God, we love you.
- 0:35Father. Thank you Jesus for salvation.
- 0:39Thank you Jesus, for giving us enough strength and enough
- 0:44mental fortitude to know that you are King, that you are
- 0:48everything, and that you are Lord and you are God.
- 0:51And so, Lord, we just get out of our own way.
- 0:53We get out of our own understanding, God.
- 0:56We push aside feelings and emotions, God.
- 1:00We push aside our own intellect, Lord, and we grab a hold of who
- 1:06you are. We grab a hold of you, Lord.
- 1:08Help us to not let go. Help us to not look left or
- 1:12right back, but God only forward with you.
- 1:15And so, Lord, I pray for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit
- 1:18today. Come in, Father, fill us up,
- 1:22Father. Overflowing into the streets,
- 1:25overflowing into the hospitals, overflowing into the courtrooms,
- 1:29overflowing into the military, overflowing into law
- 1:33enforcement, overflowing God, across all platforms,
- 1:37everywhere. Lord, rain down supreme, rain
- 1:41down on high, rain down God and wreck us with your love, Ravish
- 1:46us with your presence. Lord, we want to see your eyes
- 1:49like fire and hair like wool, the voice of the many
- 1:52multitudes. Lord, the King of Kings and the
- 1:55Lord of Lords, you are everything, the Good Shepherd,
- 1:59we love you, Adonai El Elyon, the Most High.
- 2:02God, we love you. Be the banner, be our healer, be
- 2:06our provider. God, we know that.
- 2:08You see, Lord, you are the shepherd King, you are the
- 2:13servant leader. Holy Spirit, get a hold of us.
- 2:16Holy Spirit, convict us today. We repent and confess of all the
- 2:21times that we have shortcomed, every time that we have sinned,
- 2:25every time that we have transgressed against your holy
- 2:28name. Father, I pray for healing from
- 2:31on high, healing on your wings. Lord, I pray that we will be
- 2:35made whole and complete. Give us our marching orders and
- 2:38allow us to see that you're moving mightily all around us in
- 2:43the angelic host. We love you.
- 2:45Teach us your ways. Lord.
- 2:46I pray that as we open up your word that your word will read
- 2:50us. Your word is alive and active.
- 2:54We hide it in our hearts. I decrease as you increase.
- 2:58Maranatha, come the Spirit and the bride says, come.
- 3:02We love you, Jesus, we worship you Jesus.
- 3:07Heal us. Jesus, you're lovely and holy
- 3:12and worthy. We just desire more of you.
- 3:19Give us a touch today. Show up today and show off.
- 3:25Take us to new heights, Father ABBA.
- 3:31Cry out, ABBA, we thank you for our adoption.
- 3:35We thank you that we are yours. We thank you that we can know
- 3:40you, be known by you, and it's in Jesus Christ, holy and
- 3:48precious name that I pray, Amen. Let's start in verse one.
- 3:57Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ
- 4:05according to the faith of God's elect and the acknowledging of
- 4:11the truth, which is after godliness.
- 4:16What's Paul talking about here? Well, Paul's talking to his
- 4:20constituent, one of his disciples here, Titus.
- 4:23And Titus has a long track record throughout the New
- 4:27Testament. We saw them all the way back in
- 4:30Acts and throughout Corinthians. In this letter is very similar
- 4:35to the first letter that he wrote to Timothy.
- 4:38He's going to give some instructions for the church.
- 4:41We know that Paul left Titus back at Crete.
- 4:45And if we thought that Ephesus was a rough crowd, the Cretians
- 4:49are even more rowdy friends. And so Titus seems to be a
- 4:54problem solver. He seems to be someone that Paul
- 4:58could trust to go in and to actually do the things that
- 5:03needed to get done to establish a healthy church.
- 5:07So we can see that Paul makes God and Jesus synonymous, the
- 5:14three and one. We see the Trinity at work and
- 5:17season throughout all of Paul's letters.
- 5:20And so also you need to know that it is acknowledging the
- 5:25truth which leads to godliness, and there is no truth outside of
- 5:29Jesus Christ. We see that Paul was a willing
- 5:33servant of the Lord Jesus. And so that is what another
- 5:38thing that you need to know is that God doesn't take us
- 5:41hostage. We have free will.
- 5:44We can choose Him or not in the moment or for a lifetime, but
- 5:49you need to know that Paul here was sold out to the Lord Jesus
- 5:55Christ and he says, woe to me if I do not preach.
- 5:59And I pray that that's your story.
- 6:00I pray that you're willingly going along with the Lord no
- 6:04matter what his plans are, no matter if it looks
- 6:07counterproductive and counterintuitive.
- 6:10This goes way beyond human intellect.
- 6:14This is trans rational, forensic, transcends all of our
- 6:19own feelings and emotions and all of our own ways that we I
- 6:23think this little life should go.
- 6:25It's yoking yourself up to the King of Kings and the Lord of
- 6:30Lords. It's putting yourself in service
- 6:33to the only one who can bring you home safely.
- 6:37Verse 2 in hope of eternal life, which God that cannot lie
- 6:43promised before the world began. Think about it friends, God
- 6:47created not only this world and not only the things that can be
- 6:52seen, but he created an entire universe.
- 6:55He created the heavens above, friends of the depths below, and
- 7:00he can do anything that he pleases.
- 7:03But I want you to know that God cannot lie.
- 7:06He will never go back on His word.
- 7:08What he he says is firm and we can build our entire life on it.
- 7:13So when he tells you that you will inherit eternal life, you
- 7:17can bank on it. And it doesn't matter how
- 7:19disease riddled your body is. It doesn't matter how many court
- 7:25cases you got coming up or prison sentences you got.
- 7:29It is God and God alone who can deliver on the promise of
- 7:34eternal life. So we take a hold of that.
- 7:37Friends, we're not looking looking for a cushy,
- 7:40comfortable, pleasing, pleasant life here and one to come.
- 7:44We go into the hardest places, we do the work of the
- 7:48evangelist, and we count the cost before we ever go out into
- 7:53the harvest. And God can give you slivers of
- 7:56heaven here on this earth, but they pale in comparison to what
- 8:00is to come. If we'll just place our faith in
- 8:03the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in our heart that God
- 8:07raised him from the dead, we will have eternal life.
- 8:10We can be robed in Jesus Christ righteousness and purity and
- 8:15innocence and we can know that we know that we know that we
- 8:18know if we were to die today that we're going to bust heaven
- 8:21wide open. Praise God Hallelujah, we love
- 8:24you Jesus verse 3 but has in due times manifested his word
- 8:31through preaching which is committed unto me according to
- 8:34the commandment of our God and Savior.
- 8:37So Paul had a very amazing ministry where the structure of
- 8:45the church would be revealed to Paul as it was hidden in times
- 8:49past, but it is made known to Paul and it was given to him to
- 8:54preach. And you can see that Peter went
- 8:56on to teach the Jews and there was such a confusion with the
- 9:00Jewish nation where they were trying to hold on to all of
- 9:03their Jewish customs and bringing Christ into the mix.
- 9:08And Paul had to Peter and tell him that that wasn't the case
- 9:12and they they didn't need to get circumcised and eat kosher.
- 9:15And it's a hard lesson for those who were steeped in the Jewish
- 9:21religion. And then we can see how the
- 9:23gentiles were coming out of Pagan idolatry.
- 9:26And they would have laid those down easy.
- 9:29And this is a lot of what the letter is about is rebuking all
- 9:34of the Jewish legalism and it is encouraging these Cretians to
- 9:41continue on in the faith and not to be steeped and not to be back
- 9:46laden and back trodden with all of the customs of the Jews.
- 9:51We're going to see that get played out in this book.
- 9:56And God made it manifest the all of the church was already in his
- 10:02mind and it was already ready to be revealed, but it was hidden
- 10:07in God. And so God chose the proper time
- 10:11to bring it all in to light. And we saw the Pax Romana where
- 10:17there was some relative peace in the known inhabited world.
- 10:21And then also you can see one common language.
- 10:25So Jesus Christ came at the exact time that God had ordained
- 10:30and revealed Himself self so that we could here in this day,
- 10:36in this hour, hold the Holy Scriptures in our hands, the
- 10:40complete work and authority of God Almighty.
- 10:43It is God breathed and it is alive and it is active and it is
- 10:47reading you as you open it up, friends.
- 10:50It's discerning you and your motives as you open it up,
- 10:53friends. And how amazing is it that God
- 10:56knows the exact time? And that is the same with His
- 10:59second coming, Friends. We don't need to be date setters
- 11:03and doomsday preppers. We just need to be rooted and
- 11:06grounded and steeped in God's Word, learning it and owning it,
- 11:11memorizing it and hiding it in our hearts.
- 11:14This is the map that leads to to Jesus Christ.
- 11:17Get in Christ, friends. And that is how we are to escape
- 11:22all of the tragedies that are coming down the pipeline.
- 11:25And you can see it in the birth pains that are coming.
- 11:28And they're faster and faster and closer and closer together.
- 11:32And you can look up and see that your redemption is drawing near
- 11:37and that the leaves are on the fig tree, friends.
- 11:39So we know that the head is crowning.
- 11:43We know that it's closer today than it was yesterday.
- 11:47Praise God, Hallelujah, we love you Jesus, for to Titus, my own
- 11:52son, after the common faith, grace, mercy, peace from God the
- 11:57Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.
- 12:00So imagine having that title. Titus has the honorable title of
- 12:07being just like a son to the Apostle Paul of our common
- 12:12faith. How amazing is it that we still
- 12:15have the common faith of the Lord Jesus Christ?
- 12:202000 years removed from this letter, you and I are still
- 12:24rooted and grounded and steeped in the common faith of
- 12:27Christianity. You can't do nothing with this
- 12:31book. You can't outlive it, friends.
- 12:33You can't get rid of it. It will outlast the test of
- 12:37time. No one will ever be able to
- 12:40completely and utterly destroy the Word of God.
- 12:43It is here to stay. Heaven and earth shall pass
- 12:46away. But not one of these words,
- 12:48friends. This common faith, 2000 years
- 12:51later, still being totally and completely preached throughout
- 12:59the entire world, and it is the common faith of Jesus Christ as
- 13:04Lord Jesus Christ as the only atonement for our sins, Jesus
- 13:11Christ as the answer to every single question that could ever
- 13:15get asked. It's Jesus, Jesus and Jesus.
- 13:20Everything is centered and built upon the chief cornerstone of
- 13:25Jesus Christ, the Messiah, and we love him.
- 13:31And we can see here this karis, we can see the common faith of
- 13:37mercy, and we could see this Shalom, Shalom.
- 13:41And it was the Greek world and the Jewish world coming together
- 13:46for this common faith. 5 For this, 'cause I left you in
- 13:51Crete, that you should set in orders of things that are
- 13:55wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed
- 13:59you. So Paul here is reminding Titus
- 14:03why he left him there. And it was to establish the
- 14:07churches and look for these overseers, to look for people
- 14:13who could oversee A congregation as the early church got started.
- 14:19And you can see here that Paul was seeing that there were lots
- 14:24of things that were in need on the island of Crete.
- 14:28You can see here that there are no deacons.
- 14:31There are only the the elders there.
- 14:34And that that was the entire purpose of Titus being left
- 14:39behind because Paul knew that he had a strong sense of who could
- 14:46be in these leadership positions and who could not.
- 14:52And so that is the same for us today, friends.
- 14:55We don't need to look for somebody who has a degree on the
- 14:59wall. You don't need to look for
- 15:01somebody who sure looks the part.
- 15:04You don't need to look for somebody who is very persuasive
- 15:10in their teaching and preaching. We need to look for the
- 15:14attributes that Paul is going to spell out for us.
- 15:18God Almighty looks at the inner man and not the outer.
- 15:22God looks for the character of a man.
- 15:25Not just the persuasive speech, not just the ravenous wolves and
- 15:30sheep's clothing. God looks at the motives of a
- 15:34person and that is what qualifies or disqualifies
- 15:38somebody from preaching the word of God.
- 15:41We need to earnestly strive after the things that He is
- 15:45going to state. 6 If any, be blameless.
- 15:50The husband of one wife having faithful children, not accused
- 15:55of riot or unruly. So you need to know that the
- 16:00ones that Titus was looking for and who God is looking for today
- 16:05to bring the gospel to the entire world are men who are
- 16:10blameless and who only have one wife.
- 16:15They are not somebody who is promiscuous.
- 16:19And that has to do with both the digital and the physical world
- 16:23having faithful children not accused of right or unruly.
- 16:27A man must be able to lead his family well before he could ever
- 16:31desire a position of leading those within the body of the
- 16:36Church. 7 For a Bishop must be blameless as the steward of God,
- 16:42not self willed, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker,
- 16:48not given to filthy lucre. So you can see here that God is
- 16:52looking for a man who is blameless, somebody who can hold
- 16:56no charges against him because he's not duplicious, he's not a
- 17:01hypocrite, He doesn't talk out both sides of his mouth.
- 17:05He means what he says. He says what he means.
- 17:08He is not somebody who's sleeping around.
- 17:11He's not somebody who is flirtatious.
- 17:14He's not very angry. He's not somebody who is quick
- 17:18tempered, who is hot headed. It's not somebody who is self
- 17:24seeking all the time, thinking about themselves, that all the
- 17:28attention is upon self. This is a man who is outward
- 17:31focused, somebody who loves Jesus Christ more than they love
- 17:35life itself. God's looking for somebody who
- 17:40does not look for getting drunk or high or somebody who is an
- 17:48altered state of mind. He is looking for somebody who
- 17:51is filled with the Holy Ghost, who doesn't have any need for
- 17:56intoxication. He's not a brawler, not somebody
- 18:00who's always looking to pick a fight with somebody, and also
- 18:04somebody who is not so incredibly in love with money
- 18:08that they're going to be greedy or going to lust and horror
- 18:14after the things of this world. That is the man that God is
- 18:18looking for. Somebody who's not given over to
- 18:21the love of money, the love of filthy looker, the love of
- 18:25mammon. That is not a quality that you
- 18:28want. And somebody who is an overseer
- 18:30of a congregation, this is what they need to be.
- 18:33They need to be a lover of hospitality, a lover of good
- 18:38men, sober, just holy, temperate 9 holding fast the faithful word
- 18:47as he has been taught that he might be able to by sound
- 18:50doctrine both exhort and convince the gain Sayers.
- 18:55That's what God is looking for. One man who's completely and
- 19:00utterly sold out to the king of kings and the Lord of Lords.
- 19:04They're not duplicious in their approach.
- 19:06They're not doing it for their own vanity.
- 19:09They're not doing it for self seeking gain.
- 19:12They're not doing it for the money friends.
- 19:14They're not doing it for an easy life where all they have to do
- 19:18is sit and teach. They are people who are
- 19:21shepherds. They are the ones who are going
- 19:24out into the harvest. These men love hospitality.
- 19:27They open their doors up. They're able to have people and
- 19:32hold Bible studies and give them sound doctrine friends.
- 19:36They're not those that are all the time looking for angles to
- 19:40pick people apart. They're lover of good man.
- 19:45They're not those who give themselves over to the evil ways
- 19:49of this world. They're sober.
- 19:51They look at themselves in the right light.
- 19:53They're not lovers of self. They're not haters of self.
- 19:57But they are sober minded when it comes to the.
- 20:02Vantage point of who they are in Christ that is what we need
- 20:06friends. We need to raise up a generation
- 20:09and we pray for God to raise up a generation unto himself of
- 20:13sober men who stiff arm all of the things of this world and are
- 20:19truly in love with him and him alone.
- 20:23These men are just. They love justice.
- 20:27They are the ones who they don't sweep things under the rug.
- 20:32They are the ones who say what needs to be said so that men
- 20:36will see the error of their way and give them an opportunity to
- 20:40confess and repent. They love justice.
- 20:43They're holy. They're set apart.
- 20:45They are not those that are steeped in idolatry.
- 20:49They're not steeped in the culture, friends.
- 20:51They are holy and set apart and they are temperate.
- 20:55They know how to keep their mouth shut and keep their ears
- 20:59open, and they're slow to anger. They hold fast to the faithful
- 21:04word. This word that we hold in our
- 21:06hands is everything that we need that is profitable for men to be
- 21:11saved friends. Nothing added and nothing
- 21:14subtracted. Sound doctrine is believing
- 21:19every syllable that's in this word, the sound doctrine to
- 21:24exhort and convince the gainsayers.
- 21:27That is what we need, friends. We need to be ready to give a
- 21:32reason for the faith that we hold in our hands.
- 21:35Never shying away from evangelism.
- 21:38Never shying away for giving people a reason to believe.
- 21:43Never shying away from the hope that we have in Christ Jesus,
- 21:49for there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers,
- 21:53especially they have the circumcision.
- 21:55So Paul here is going to pick on his Jewish people and he's going
- 22:01to talk about those of the circumcision, this Jewish roots
- 22:05movement who say we need to incorporate a lot of the
- 22:10festivals and incorporate a lot of the customs and the dietary
- 22:16laws of the Jewish belief. And I want you to know that when
- 22:24God told Peter to go and kill and to eat, and Peter said I
- 22:29would never, Lord, any unthing that is clean has never entered
- 22:33into me. And what did he say?
- 22:35He said, don't call anything unclean that I've made unclean.
- 22:39It's not what goes in the body that defiles it.
- 22:42It's what comes out. It's our words.
- 22:45These people of the circumcision, they think that
- 22:48they can be holier than thou. They think that they can attain
- 22:51to a level where God is more pleased with them than with
- 22:56those who have simple faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
- 23:00They say their blessing and they go on about their day.
- 23:03They choose which day to rest. These people have an immense
- 23:09amount of freedom and they're not those that are abusing grace
- 23:13as some are in the habit of doing, but they are sober minded
- 23:16in their approach to God. They're rooted and grounded in
- 23:20God's Word. They're not looking to measure
- 23:23how much God loves them or how pleased God is with them.
- 23:27It's actually quite pathetic. It's actually quite sad when you
- 23:32have groups of people who want to try to intermingle this way
- 23:38of the circumcision into the great amount of freedom that you
- 23:42and I possess in Christ Jesus. And we should pray for them.
- 23:46And Paul's going to talk a little bit about them and he's
- 23:49going to tell Titus to watch out for these unruly, vain talkers.
- 23:58It's all vanity. They want to be seen.
- 24:00They want to act as if they're better and they're not.
- 24:03And they're deceivers. And they bring people into this
- 24:06whole Jewish roots movement of following after the Lord Jesus
- 24:11and intermingling all of the Jewish customs in.
- 24:15And it's actually sad, friends 11 whose mouths must be stopped,
- 24:20who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought
- 24:24not for filthy lucre's sake. So you can see that the love of
- 24:28money is the root of all kinds of evil here, friends, these
- 24:32people, they do it for their own self gain.
- 24:36They do it to weasel their way into houses and they lead people
- 24:40astray. And Paul here is talking to
- 24:42Titus and God here is talking to us and saying, make sure that
- 24:47you speak up and tell them that they are erring grievously.
- 24:52And it breaks God's heart. Friends 12/1 of themselves, even
- 24:57a prophet of their own said the Cretans are always liars, evil
- 25:04beasts, slow bellies. So these Cretans, they were
- 25:09actually known to be liars, and they were gluttons as well.
- 25:20And you can see here that Paul knew that this was the case, and
- 25:25he wanted Titus as he was encouraging him here.
- 25:30He wanted him to know what he was up against.
- 25:33But Titus was the man for the job.
- 25:35Titus was the one outfitted to be able to deal with this and to
- 25:39establish a very healthy church. And we are tasked in this day
- 25:47and this hour with all of the things that are happening all
- 25:51around the world as we see the culmination of the history of
- 25:56mankind coming to a head. Friends, you and I are tasked
- 26:01with keeping the church healthy and vibrant, friends, and not
- 26:06slipping away into all of the negativity and the criticism,
- 26:10slipping away into the culture of the world and getting swept
- 26:15away by all of this new age idea garbage that's getting
- 26:19intermingled in the profane with the holy friends and this
- 26:23strange fire. Friends, we need to keep
- 26:26ourselves holy because He is holy.
- 26:29We need to make sure that we are honoring God by teaching the
- 26:33entirety of God's word, not holding anything back, not
- 26:37adding anything to it. This is the complete, infallible
- 26:40and errant word of God, and we're going to see God being
- 26:44well pleased whenever we give Him His due honor and glory by
- 26:49teaching the entirety of God's Word. 13 This witness is true.
- 26:56Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the
- 27:00faith. We can see God's heart here.
- 27:03He's not just so incredibly incensed against people, it is
- 27:10the spirit behind the people. And if they woke up and God's
- 27:14not done with them, and He wants them to come in to the saving
- 27:19knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and nothing more and
- 27:22nothing less. It is Jesus and Jesus alone that
- 27:26gets us there beyond salvation. Our works only result in
- 27:32rewards. Friends, it's not about a
- 27:35salvific issue if you're going to be there or not.
- 27:39Jesus Christ paid it all, paid in full to Telesty.
- 27:43It is finished, friends. It is by being covered in the
- 27:47blood of Jesus Christ that we get there.
- 27:49It's not by all of this dietary restrictions and keeping all of
- 27:54the festivals and looking at all the moons and all of the things
- 27:58of the Jewish customs. And it's not about being so
- 28:02Pagan and being so lost and being liars and gluttons and
- 28:07giving ourselves over to all of the New Age garbage that's
- 28:11coming in. It is being sober minded, which
- 28:14is one of the greatest calls of the Christian walk is to think
- 28:19about things in the way that God does.
- 28:22Look at them in the way that God does.
- 28:25But how would you know if you're not steeped and rooted in His
- 28:28word? Friends, that is what we need
- 28:31more than we need our next breath.
- 28:33We need to know the Word of God. We need to have a relationship
- 28:38with Him through His Son Jesus Christ, and that is what is
- 28:42going to lead us into eternity forevermore.
- 28:46He wants us to be sound in our faith.
- 28:49Increase your faith today. 14 not giving heed to Jewish fables
- 28:54and commandments of men that turn from the truth.
- 28:58So there was such a heresy of trying to intermingle the Jewish
- 29:04faith into the Christian walk. Friends, the Jews have to come
- 29:09in the same way that the Gentiles do, and it's through
- 29:14Christ Jesus. But you need to know that the
- 29:18Jews who are steeped in all the ways of Yahweh through the
- 29:25entirety of the Old Testament, when they finally come to the
- 29:29saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is an amazing
- 29:35moment where they can see all the Christophanies throughout
- 29:40the Old Testament that was pointing them to Christ Jesus.
- 29:45And then they can build upon all of their traditions.
- 29:50They can build upon them friends.
- 29:52And it's beautiful whenever they see that Christ is the
- 29:56fulfillment of every single law, He is the fulfillment of all the
- 30:04festivals, He is the fulfillment of everything that they were
- 30:09required, and it all points to Him.
- 30:11And it's beautiful. And they are blessed when they
- 30:17finally get to that place. And they will.
- 30:24All of Israel will be saved. 15 Unto the pure all things are
- 30:33pure, but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is
- 30:38nothing pure, but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
- 30:42You can go back to the book of Genesis, when God is creating
- 30:46everything, and he says it is good.
- 30:49It is US who pollute it. It is US who profane it.
- 30:54Friends, it's us who makes it defiled.
- 31:00God created it and it is good and everything is permissible,
- 31:06but not everything is beneficial.
- 31:09That is what you need to know. This calls for wisdom.
- 31:11It calls for a sober mind, which is the theme here amongst this
- 31:16first chapter of Titus, is keeping a sober mind.
- 31:20Whenever you walk throughout this lifetime, this little
- 31:24lifetime that you have is keeping a sober mind.
- 31:27Don't be given over to drunkenness.
- 31:30Don't be given over to a altered state of mind.
- 31:35Friends, give yourself over to the filling of the Holy Ghost.
- 31:40That is what we need more than we need a substance. 16 They
- 31:49profess that they know God, but in works they deny them, being
- 31:54abominable and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
- 32:01While Paul goes out swinging out of this first chapter, let's
- 32:08break it down for a moment, friends.
- 32:11They profess that they know God. This is Romans chapter one in a
- 32:15nutshell. You go back and you read that
- 32:18chapter and it is the larger picture of Titus chapter one
- 32:25verse 16. This is Romans chapter 1 and one
- 32:29verse. They profess that they know God,
- 32:33but in works they deny him being abominable and disobedient, and
- 32:41unto every good work reprobate God gives them over to a
- 32:45reprobate mind. They are delusional and they try
- 32:49to act as if they know God, but everything that they say and do
- 32:56is counter what is holy and good and pure and wholesome, and they
- 33:02call the good things evil and they call the evil things good.
- 33:08Woe to them, friends. It would been better for them to
- 33:13have not been born than for them to be thrown into eternal
- 33:19damnation. It would have been better for
- 33:22them to tie a millstone around their neck than to offend one of
- 33:26these little ones. And God sees it.
- 33:34Hope you've been blessed by this amazing chapter in God's Word.
- 33:38I know, I sure have. I'm praying for you, I love you,
- 33:55so does God. Stay prayed up today, stay
- 33:59blessed up today. Stay ready.
- 34:03You don't have to get ready. We are closer today than we were
- 34:11yesterday. Friends, do not grow weary doing
- 34:15good. God bless you.
- 34:23See you back here tomorrow.
