A Virginia woman, Donna Newton, is paying the price for a botched animal welfare investigation after her 42 animals were seized — despite her legal right to own up to 50. Claiming she was a devoted animal lover, Newton says the seizure was unjust, even though she had a kennel license and was trying to fix documented issues.
