- 0:01We live in a time where we expect everything to happen,
- 0:05instantly, we want to take a pill and Achieve instant
- 0:10Enlightenment. Life is speeding up with
- 0:13enhancements to Communications travel and devices that make us
- 0:18react faster everyday. Life itself seems to have
- 0:23speeded up and days disappear quickly.
- 0:27It is no wonder then that we seem to be Be more impatient.
- 0:31And even when it comes to spiritual practice, we expect
- 0:36immediate results. We must reckon with the fact
- 0:40that it is taken many Millennia of evolution to develop the
- 0:45current state of humanity. Our instincts habits reactive
- 0:50impulses Etc, If we choose to transform these long-standing
- 0:56predilections, rather than, simply find a way to abandon
- 1:00life, and The Human Condition, we must appreciate that.
- 1:05We are not going to be able to change all these unconscious,
- 1:09subconscious semi-conscious, or reactive responses, right away
- 1:17to accomplish this. Even in one lifetime would be
- 1:20considered, miraculous. What is then required as a
- 1:26patient and persistent effort? Without discouragement without
- 1:30flagging of energy, to move, forward toward the long-term
- 1:35transformation, and with concentration, focus and energy,
- 1:41address these issues as they arise within us.
- 1:45And at the same time, appreciate the need for time and therefore,
- 1:51endless amounts of it's there are those who promise you
- 1:56immediate results take this pill and be enlightened follow this
- 2:02path and Achieve realization practice this technique and your
- 2:06life will be revolutionized. Real change.
- 2:10However, does not work this way. SRI, aurobindo notes, quote.
- 2:16It is certain that an Ardent aspiration for the Divine helps
- 2:22one to progress, but patience is also needed for.
- 2:27It is a very big change that has to be made and although there
- 2:31can be moments of great rapidity, it is never all the
- 2:36time. Like that old things try to
- 2:39stick as Much as possible. The new that come have to
- 2:43develop and the Consciousness takes time to assimilate them
- 2:48and make them normal to the nature.
- 2:51The sadhna is a difficult one in time, should not be grudged.
- 2:56It is only in the last stages that are very great and constant
- 3:00repetitive progress can be confidently, expected.
- 3:06Determination is needed and affirm patient's not to be
- 3:11discouraged by this or that failure.
- 3:14It is a change in the habit of the physical nature.
- 3:18And that needs a long patient work of detail and quote
- 3:24reference SRI aurobindo in the mother growing within the
- 3:29psychology of inner development. Chapter 3 growth of
