- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, it's your person, Michelle. I guess I'm back, I think.
- 0:05Speaker 1: And it's been kind of a week, I guess. I
- 0:08Speaker 1: mean technically the week that was really stressful. Now is
- 0:12Speaker 1: kind of last week for you, but for me it's Tuesday,
- 0:15Speaker 1: so a couple days in the past, so hello from
- 0:19Speaker 1: the world of the past or something. But yeah, there's
- 0:23Speaker 1: been stuff going on. It hasn't been great. Like the
- 0:26Speaker 1: end of Chainsaw Man just kind of out of nowhere
- 0:30Speaker 1: and it made me really upset and confused. So yeah,
- 0:37Speaker 1: I don't even I'm not gonna say anything about it.
- 0:40Speaker 1: I'm considering like doing a small episode just complaining about it,
- 0:44Speaker 1: and possibly complaining about try Gun Stargaze as well, even
- 0:50Speaker 1: though I have not seen the last episode of that yet,
- 0:53Speaker 1: but I've seen the rest of it and it wasn't good,
- 0:55Speaker 1: so maybe look out for that. I'm not really sure.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Maybe i'll talk more about that at the end of
- 1:00Speaker 1: this show thing that we're doing. But yeah, it's just
- 1:04Speaker 1: been kind of shitty. I mean. Good news is I'm
- 1:06Speaker 1: pretty sure that today or yesterday, no, that today is
- 1:11Speaker 1: the day that there's finally a new chapter of Windbreaker manga.
- 1:16Speaker 1: And I've been waiting for that so long. I think
- 1:19Speaker 1: it's been like three weeks, so I'm super excited because
- 1:23Speaker 1: I haven't read it yet and I don't think it's
- 1:26Speaker 1: going to be the last chapter of Windbreaker, so thank
- 1:30Speaker 1: god something still exists that I care about. But enough
- 1:33Speaker 1: about things that I care about, which there are fewer
- 1:37Speaker 1: now since no more chainsaw Man. Let's talk about given
- 1:42Speaker 1: episode eleven, which is the last episode of the anime.
- 1:47Speaker 1: So I don't know, yay or oh no or something
- 1:50Speaker 1: like that. I'm not sure. Anyway, Episode eleven is called
- 1:54Speaker 1: Song two, which is also the title of a song
- 1:58Speaker 1: by the band Blur, is from their fifth studio album,
- 2:01Speaker 1: which was just called Blur Yay, which is weird that
- 2:05Speaker 1: the fifth album would be the self titled one. Usually
- 2:08Speaker 1: that's like your first album or maybe your second album
- 2:11Speaker 1: because you ran out of ideas. I don't know, so
- 2:13Speaker 1: fifth is weird. But anyway, it was a really big hit.
- 2:16Speaker 1: You're probably familiar with it. I obviously can't like sing
- 2:19Speaker 1: it or play it for you, but it was a
- 2:22Speaker 1: really big deal when it came out in nineteen ninety seven.
- 2:24Speaker 1: And it's a really short song. It's two minutes long.
- 2:27Speaker 1: It's the second song on the album, I believe song
- 2:30Speaker 1: number two, and lyrically it doesn't really work for given
- 2:36Speaker 1: or this episode at all because it doesn't make any sense.
- 2:40Speaker 1: And I like want to kind of clarify that, like
- 2:42Speaker 1: I don't mean that it doesn't make sense to me,
- 2:45Speaker 1: or that I don't think that they had a clear
- 2:48Speaker 1: kind of understanding of where they wanted the song to go. No,
- 2:52Speaker 1: it's basically supposed to be a parody of either like
- 2:55Speaker 1: a grunge or a punk song, but it's just like bullshit,
- 2:58Speaker 1: Like none of the song makes any sense. They're just words.
- 3:02Speaker 1: So it's funny and interesting to me that it ended
- 3:05Speaker 1: up being such a big hit when it's literally about nothing.
- 3:08Speaker 1: But somehow it's just a really good song anyway, which
- 3:12Speaker 1: really is a testament, I guess to them and their
- 3:17Speaker 1: ability to like write catchy music that you can just
- 3:21Speaker 1: take a song that's I don't know, I mean, I
- 3:24Speaker 1: guess the chorus is just wo who. So if you
- 3:26Speaker 1: know the song, you know the song. You can take
- 3:28Speaker 1: a song that just has a chorus that is wo who,
- 3:31Speaker 1: And then the verses and like the pre choruses like
- 3:34Speaker 1: don't make any sense with each other or themselves, and
- 3:37Speaker 1: everyone's like this is a good song. So yeah, kudos
- 3:41Speaker 1: to Blur for writing song Too. I guess that being said,
- 3:45Speaker 1: I think song too actually makes sense with the episode,
- 3:49Speaker 1: so that's pretty cool. So last week I think I
- 3:51Speaker 1: said that I wasn't sure about this title, that either
- 3:54Speaker 1: it was just a song that the director or someone
- 3:56Speaker 1: on the production staff like really liked, so they just
- 3:58Speaker 1: included it. But I also said that it might make sense,
- 4:01Speaker 1: So I was really happy to find out that it
- 4:03Speaker 1: did make sense, and I would assume it wouldn't be
- 4:07Speaker 1: too hard to figure out how song too makes sense
- 4:09Speaker 1: in a show about music. But I guess we'll get
- 4:13Speaker 1: there if it doesn't make sense to you or something,
- 4:16Speaker 1: So let's just do it. So this can be done
- 4:19Speaker 1: and you can go and live your life and know
- 4:23Speaker 1: the ending of given in case you don't already. And
- 4:25Speaker 1: I just mean the anime, not amanga. So if you remember,
- 4:30Speaker 1: at the end of last episode, Mafou and Uino Yama
- 4:34Speaker 1: were at Mina Do We Die, which is in Yokohama.
- 4:38Speaker 1: It was like right on the bay and there are
- 4:40Speaker 1: all these people around, and you know, Mafu, you said,
- 4:43Speaker 1: it looks like this is a good date spot or whatever,
- 4:46Speaker 1: and then he said that he liked Ueinoyama, and that's
- 4:49Speaker 1: where we ended, just like that, except I think Uyeno
- 4:52Speaker 1: Yama no, that is the exact end. It's just him
- 4:55Speaker 1: saying I like you. So we pick up right there,
- 4:59Speaker 1: or maybe just slight before there, because we kind of
- 5:01Speaker 1: loop around. So we're looking out over the bay and
- 5:05Speaker 1: the sun is low. I guess they've been standing there
- 5:07Speaker 1: for a while or something, and we hear again MafA
- 5:10Speaker 1: you say, I like you uino Yama kuhn. Interesting that
- 5:14Speaker 1: they went back to like when they ended the last
- 5:16Speaker 1: episode with love in the translation, which I still think
- 5:19Speaker 1: is wrong. Anyway, he said that, and we get this
- 5:22Speaker 1: close up shot of uino Yama's eyes just super wide,
- 5:26Speaker 1: and then there's silence, and Uinoyama finally says, do you
- 5:33Speaker 1: mean in a friend kind of way? Mafu You says no,
- 5:40Speaker 1: he kind of looks down and he starts to blush slightly.
- 5:44Speaker 1: I mean in a romantic kind of way. Ooh yay
- 5:48Speaker 1: ouino Yama is I guess, just kind of comically dumbfounded.
- 5:53Speaker 1: And then we go to a dark blue screen and
- 5:56Speaker 1: we see the sun slowly rising over the Earth like
- 6:00Speaker 1: in space, and this giant stone character is like rising
- 6:05Speaker 1: in the middle of the sun. It's the character for
- 6:07Speaker 1: love or romantic love that is Koi. And then we
- 6:11Speaker 1: go to like a scene that's on the ground and
- 6:13Speaker 1: there's like a jungle and dinosaurs and this big character
- 6:17Speaker 1: for love, but the other kind of love, just regular love.
- 6:20Speaker 1: I slides into the scene and a t rex like
- 6:23Speaker 1: looks over at it, and then we see I and
- 6:25Speaker 1: Koi meet in the middle of a mostly blue sunny
- 6:29Speaker 1: sky and there's a giant wave from the ocean or
- 6:33Speaker 1: something that overtakes them, and then they're replaced by it's
- 6:37Speaker 1: mutual woo in rainbow characters. As Ouo Yama stands stunned
- 6:43Speaker 1: in front of them, another wave comes up behind him.
- 6:46Speaker 1: We go back to reality now, thank god, and Mafuyu's like,
- 6:52Speaker 1: ou know, Yama kun uino Yama is just frozen in
- 6:56Speaker 1: shock thinking about the characters Koi and I just doing stuff.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Who knows what Mafayu again, says uino Yama kun. We
- 7:04Speaker 1: start to pull away from them, like back off of them,
- 7:07Speaker 1: and we hear the narrator say Ueno Yama Ritzka. Although
- 7:11Speaker 1: he may seem as calm as the service of a
- 7:14Speaker 1: quiet lake, actually has quite a storm raging within him. WHOA,
- 7:18Speaker 1: we are far enough away from them now that we
- 7:21Speaker 1: can see that overhead is that big giant. It's mutual.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Pulling back even further, now we see that the entire
- 7:30Speaker 1: scene is just a picture hanging in a room just
- 7:33Speaker 1: pretty cool, with a banner over it that says Uenoyama
- 7:38Speaker 1: Ritzka meeting room. But the meeting room is crossed out,
- 7:41Speaker 1: and somebody's like taped on a little piece of paper
- 7:44Speaker 1: that says farewell party. Oh. In this room, there are
- 7:47Speaker 1: a bunch of ouen oyamas with shirts that are like
- 7:51Speaker 1: dark blue and they have white print on them, and
- 7:53Speaker 1: they all say like who they are. They're all different
- 7:55Speaker 1: parts of him, I guess. So there is Virgin Me.
- 7:59Speaker 1: He's stays in the center of the frame and he's
- 8:02Speaker 1: got a blue and white polka dot like birthday hat
- 8:05Speaker 1: on and he has like tears streaming down his face,
- 8:09Speaker 1: and we also see the devil Me and Emotional Me
- 8:11Speaker 1: are standing to the sides of him, and one of
- 8:13Speaker 1: them says, but we're like not seeing exactly who's talking.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Maybe to save animation, I'm not sure. So one of
- 8:20Speaker 1: them says, holy shit, holy shit, you guys and another
- 8:23Speaker 1: one of him is like, congrats. Someone else says, calm down.
- 8:27Speaker 1: They're all standing around a table with a strawberry cake
- 8:31Speaker 1: on it, and it looks like there's other types of
- 8:33Speaker 1: food and maybe like a roast chicken there and worry
- 8:37Speaker 1: more at Me and Angel Me are also there, and
- 8:40Speaker 1: some other ones, and one of them says one of
- 8:42Speaker 1: us is trying to rush ahead and graduate. Another one
- 8:45Speaker 1: says this isn't a dream. Another one's like, let him
- 8:49Speaker 1: graduate already, and one more says, holy shit, holy shit.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Careful me grabs the like just totally overwhelmed, crying version
- 8:59Speaker 1: me by the front of his shirt and is like, hey,
- 9:02Speaker 1: don't rush things. He doesn't seem very careful. He's shaking
- 9:05Speaker 1: him and continues, why are you jumping so far ahead?
- 9:09Speaker 1: Cool Mey is sitting at the table with his hands
- 9:11Speaker 1: folded over his mouth, and I thought this was him talking,
- 9:14Speaker 1: but I actually think it's somebody else, possibly calm me.
- 9:18Speaker 1: That we haven't seen him yet anyway, He says, yeah, guys,
- 9:21Speaker 1: chill out and sit down for a second. It looks
- 9:23Speaker 1: like he wants to say something. Careful Me angrily turns
- 9:27Speaker 1: towards whoever is talking and says, huh, calm me, who
- 9:31Speaker 1: is standing at the front of the room, clears his
- 9:33Speaker 1: throat and they all look over and he's like, this
- 9:36Speaker 1: is a video from the start of the year. I'd
- 9:38Speaker 1: like you, gentlemen to take a look at it. He
- 9:40Speaker 1: is pointing to a screen to the side of him
- 9:43Speaker 1: that is with this big stick that has a yellow
- 9:46Speaker 1: pointing hand on it, and on the screen we see
- 9:50Speaker 1: Kaji and how Dogie sitting in the studio. Kaji says, so,
- 9:54Speaker 1: I heard the drummer for Kage's man got cut Hawke.
- 9:57Speaker 1: He's like, what why? Kaji says, apparently he made a
- 10:01Speaker 1: move on their female vocalists. How Dock, He's like, oh,
- 10:06Speaker 1: all of the Uyoyamas are looking at the screen now,
- 10:11Speaker 1: totally engrossed and worry ward. Uyoyama looks real fucking nervous.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Does that makes sense? We hear? How do p He say,
- 10:19Speaker 1: so they were dating without telling the others. Kaji's like,
- 10:22Speaker 1: that's bound to cause trouble. Dock, he says, for real,
- 10:26Speaker 1: I guess the no dating within a band rule is
- 10:28Speaker 1: ironclad anywhere. Yeah, it's not. I don't know what they're
- 10:31Speaker 1: talking about. Kaji says, of course it is I've never
- 10:35Speaker 1: seen romantic relationships work out in any band ha Doky's like,
- 10:40Speaker 1: but at the same time, that drummer's been with them
- 10:43Speaker 1: since they started. Kaji says, it's pretty sad. We hear
- 10:47Speaker 1: uin Oyama say, wait, what are you talking about? All
- 10:51Speaker 1: of the Uyoyama's look so fucking stressed now, he continues,
- 10:57Speaker 1: no matter how you spin it, hooking up with band mate,
- 11:00Speaker 1: it's only gonna cost trouble. How thoughtless can you be? Really?
- 11:05Speaker 1: Could you imagine them arguing in the studio. It'd be
- 11:08Speaker 1: even worse if they started going easy on each other's sound.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Kami turns around and he looks like, we're fucked basically.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Uo Yama continues, I'd be totally against it no matter what,
- 11:20Speaker 1: like drop dead. Seriously, the video pauses. The uino Yamas
- 11:26Speaker 1: look real freaked out, and the farewell portion of the
- 11:30Speaker 1: sign that was like tacked on just falls to the
- 11:33Speaker 1: floor and we hear mafu you say, Uno Yama, kuhn
- 11:38Speaker 1: ou No Yama, kuhn Uno Yama is just staring out
- 11:42Speaker 1: of the ocean, all freaked out, still thinking about all
- 11:46Speaker 1: these things in his head, like the little guys. Mafu
- 11:49Speaker 1: you again, says Uno Yama. Kuhn. Finally, Unoyama kind of
- 11:53Speaker 1: gasps and turns his head. Mafu You says, you're still alive.
- 11:57Speaker 1: He's waving his hand in front of Uino Yama's face.
- 12:00Speaker 1: It's just silent for a little bit except for a
- 12:02Speaker 1: boat blowing its horn. And let me go to the
- 12:04Speaker 1: opening theme for the last time, yay or no. Depending
- 12:10Speaker 1: back from the opening, we see the exterior of a
- 12:14Speaker 1: building looks like it's apartment building, but I don't know
- 12:17Speaker 1: this shot and a doorbell rings. How do Key opens
- 12:21Speaker 1: the door and he's like, huh A very pissed off
- 12:24Speaker 1: looking Oueno Yama and normal looking Mafu You are standing
- 12:27Speaker 1: in front of his door. How dock he says, why
- 12:30Speaker 1: are you here? Oua Yama kind of bows hi. How
- 12:33Speaker 1: do Key's like, quite down? What's with the energy? We
- 12:36Speaker 1: get a random shot of the wall and kind of
- 12:39Speaker 1: the ceiling of the door, and how do Key says,
- 12:42Speaker 1: you had a long walk from the station, right, come
- 12:44Speaker 1: on in? Ou know? Yama's like thanks, geez. We hear
- 12:49Speaker 1: them walking in and we see the door close and
- 12:51Speaker 1: they're kind of walking down the hallway now and how
- 12:53Speaker 1: do ke he's like we just saw each other yesterday.
- 12:55Speaker 1: What's up? Ou No Yama and Mafu you stop and
- 12:58Speaker 1: ouen O Yama says, I wanted to talk to you
- 13:00Speaker 1: about something. How dog He turns back to them. Uh,
- 13:04Speaker 1: I have to go to work in a little bit,
- 13:06Speaker 1: so can you make it quick? At this point in
- 13:08Speaker 1: the notes, I wanted to make sure that I told
- 13:11Speaker 1: you that how do Kei has his hair down and
- 13:13Speaker 1: he looks fantastic like he is. I know you know
- 13:17Speaker 1: that he has nice hair, but oh my god, it
- 13:20Speaker 1: looks just gorgeous here. How do Kei is beautiful? Anyway?
- 13:24Speaker 1: Uno Yama and Mafu you look at each other, and
- 13:26Speaker 1: then we see how do he like? Over by the sink?
- 13:29Speaker 1: I think, but we can't see what he's doing, because
- 13:32Speaker 1: why would we? But I think maybe he's getting water
- 13:35Speaker 1: for them or watching something out I don't really know.
- 13:39Speaker 1: And we hear WHU we know? Yama say, we have
- 13:41Speaker 1: an announcement or rather something to discuss with you. How
- 13:45Speaker 1: do he? He looks up. We see outside for a second
- 13:48Speaker 1: and like a train passing a body of water, and
- 13:51Speaker 1: then we cut back to Haddo Kei, who looks really
- 13:53Speaker 1: stressed out and he says, uh, absolutely not. Un yam
- 13:57Speaker 1: and Mafu you are sitting at a table with beverages
- 14:00Speaker 1: in front of them that I think are probably soda
- 14:02Speaker 1: because they look round, but who knows. How dick He
- 14:05Speaker 1: is standing at the other side of the table and
- 14:07Speaker 1: he continues, wait what okay, hold up, you guys are
- 14:11Speaker 1: gonna start dating. You're not dating yet, are you? Mafu
- 14:15Speaker 1: you says not yet. I just told him how I felt.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Unayama puts his head in his hands, poor little kid,
- 14:22Speaker 1: and how do He kind of like slaps himself in
- 14:24Speaker 1: the forehead and is like, oh shit, we're doomed. For
- 14:27Speaker 1: some reason, he's thinking about Kaji poking him with a
- 14:29Speaker 1: drumstick in the side many episodes ago, and then he's like, wait,
- 14:34Speaker 1: does Akihiko know about this? Unoyama says, probably yeah. I
- 14:39Speaker 1: asked him for advice about this before we of course
- 14:42Speaker 1: see Kaji now like giving him advice, and Mafuu says
- 14:45Speaker 1: he knows he may be face off to it before
- 14:47Speaker 1: the show. I mean I didn't take it that way,
- 14:49Speaker 1: but sure. How do He is gripping his cup tightly
- 14:52Speaker 1: and his hand is kind of shaking, and he thinks
- 14:54Speaker 1: that bastard. This gamble of his was way riskier than
- 14:58Speaker 1: I could have imagined. He kind of like is in
- 15:01Speaker 1: the background now and he gives like two thumbs up
- 15:05Speaker 1: and that says it'll all work out, like near him,
- 15:08Speaker 1: yay Ellino. Yama still has his head down. He's like
- 15:11Speaker 1: kind of holding himself, and Hodaki says, oh, I know, Yama.
- 15:15Speaker 1: You're the one who went on and on about how
- 15:17Speaker 1: band made couples should drop dead. Fuck o, we know.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Yama recoils and like sinks further down into his seat
- 15:24Speaker 1: and says, please let us have this. We'll do our best. Uh,
- 15:29Speaker 1: how dock. He is quiet for a second. Wait, are
- 15:32Speaker 1: you serious? We we know Yama like stands up and
- 15:35Speaker 1: bows says, please let us have this. We'll do our best.
- 15:40Speaker 1: How dock. He stares at him in shock, and he continues,
- 15:45Speaker 1: we might know. I'm sure we'll end up causing some trouble,
- 15:48Speaker 1: but it's quiet. After like a second of shock, howdack,
- 15:53Speaker 1: he puts his hand over his face, totally stressed, and
- 15:57Speaker 1: he eventually takes it down and takes a deep breath,
- 16:00Speaker 1: and at that maf Wou stands up too, So we can,
- 16:02Speaker 1: you know, join the standing party, and how dock, he says,
- 16:07Speaker 1: listen you to they look at him. Just make sure
- 16:10Speaker 1: no one finds out what he sits down. The business
- 16:15Speaker 1: of being in a band basically comes down to popularity.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Play your cards right and stay aware of your surroundings. Also,
- 16:21Speaker 1: if you piss me off, expect a lecture or two.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Keep that in mind. His hands are folded in front
- 16:26Speaker 1: of his face. He closes his eyes. While his eyes
- 16:29Speaker 1: are closed, they like go across the table and walk
- 16:32Speaker 1: over behind him, and before he can realize what's happening,
- 16:35Speaker 1: they like hug him from both sides. And how dock,
- 16:38Speaker 1: He's like, stop, seriously, knock it off. He's struggling, but
- 16:42Speaker 1: it doesn't look like he's doing anything. And I don't
- 16:44Speaker 1: know if that's because they didn't do a good job
- 16:46Speaker 1: of animating this or because he is really happy to
- 16:48Speaker 1: be hugged. He continues, I mean it, though, make sure
- 16:52Speaker 1: you don't post anything hinting that you're dating. I don't
- 16:55Speaker 1: like this. We know yamas like, yes, sir, how dock,
- 16:58Speaker 1: he says, okay it now cut it out. We see
- 17:02Speaker 1: the exterior of Kaji's place. We see Kaji now with
- 17:06Speaker 1: the door open, like standing in the doorway, and he's like, huh, congrats.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Uino Yama and Mafu you were obviously at the door,
- 17:13Speaker 1: and uino Yama's like, is that all you have to say,
- 17:17Speaker 1: Kaji San? Kaji says, I mean I took a gamble
- 17:21Speaker 1: on this, so who am I to complain? And I'm
- 17:23Speaker 1: sure Hookey's already lectured you. Anyway, I knew it, and
- 17:26Speaker 1: I still let you to walk that tight rope of
- 17:28Speaker 1: a concert. It did get pretty messy, but you made
- 17:31Speaker 1: it across. Ueno Yama kind of puts his head down
- 17:35Speaker 1: and gives like a pain smile, and Kaji continues, Oh yeah,
- 17:39Speaker 1: Mafu you, I owe you the CDs that you asked
- 17:41Speaker 1: for the other day. I'll go grab him. So wait
- 17:43Speaker 1: a second. He turns and heads back inside. Mafuy's like,
- 17:47Speaker 1: oh okay, the door closes. They are alone now waiting outside,
- 17:52Speaker 1: and un Oyama is like, you know, he's looking up
- 17:55Speaker 1: at the house. Kaji, Son's always complaining about being broke,
- 17:58Speaker 1: but he lives in a fancy place like this. Mafo
- 18:01Speaker 1: You says, this is actually his roommate's house. Uno Yama's like, yeah,
- 18:07Speaker 1: so wait, is this really Ugetsu's house, because if so,
- 18:09Speaker 1: why do they live in the basement together anyway, Mafo
- 18:13Speaker 1: You says, apparently, Kaji opens the door again and he's
- 18:17Speaker 1: got like a really big box, cardboard box, you know,
- 18:20Speaker 1: and he says, okay, here you go. We know. Yama's like,
- 18:24Speaker 1: you got enough there, Mafu who takes the box from him,
- 18:27Speaker 1: and Kaji says, help him out with that. Uino Yama, Ueno,
- 18:30Speaker 1: Yama's like got it. They leave and Kaji waves them
- 18:34Speaker 1: off and says, good luck. We now pan down from
- 18:38Speaker 1: the sky and like rooftops to Uinayama and Mafuu walking,
- 18:43Speaker 1: and u Yama takes the box from Mafuu as they walk,
- 18:47Speaker 1: and he says, it's just like Kaji san not to
- 18:51Speaker 1: bother using a delivery service for this? Are these all CDs?
- 18:56Speaker 1: I mean, why would he use a delivery service? Guys.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Mafu You's like, yeah, I wanted to listen to lots
- 19:03Speaker 1: of different things. He's quiet for a second. Music is
- 19:06Speaker 1: really fun? Uh oh, you know. Yama kind of blushes
- 19:10Speaker 1: and looks away and he's like yeah, Mafu You says,
- 19:15Speaker 1: wanna switch at the next telephone pole? O. We know
- 19:18Speaker 1: Yama just like the box like maybe it's really heavy
- 19:21Speaker 1: and says, nah, I'll tough it out. Mafo You looks
- 19:24Speaker 1: at him for a while and then smiles and says, okay, thanks.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Oh we know. Yama's like sure, MafA You says, should
- 19:31Speaker 1: I sing a fight song? We know? Y'ama's like, what
- 19:34Speaker 1: the fuck do you mean? We are panning back up
- 19:36Speaker 1: to the sky now and Mafo You says, like the
- 19:40Speaker 1: kind they dud sports festivals. Now we see an open
- 19:44Speaker 1: violin case and Kaji is walking down the basement steps
- 19:48Speaker 1: and Ugetsu has his bow in his hands and he says,
- 19:51Speaker 1: you had a visitor. Kaji's like, guys for my band,
- 19:55Speaker 1: I let one of them borrow your CD. Ugetsu closes
- 19:58Speaker 1: the violin case and says that's fine, he can have it. Aki,
- 20:02Speaker 1: he go coffee. Kaji starts to open the cabin and
- 20:05Speaker 1: he's like, I'm not coffee. He's getting out mugs. Who
- 20:08Speaker 1: gets who? Says said Aki, as he grabbed the mug
- 20:11Speaker 1: to pour some for Who gets you? Anyway? Howji's like
- 20:14Speaker 1: cut the narration? Who gets who? Lights a cigarette and
- 20:17Speaker 1: takes a puff. I wonder if I'll be able to
- 20:19Speaker 1: see the kid who sang that song again. He was
- 20:21Speaker 1: just right upstairs, dude. We now cut to the exterior
- 20:25Speaker 1: of an apartment building and then we see uino Yama
- 20:28Speaker 1: setting down like the box in mafuyus hallway. Mafuu's like,
- 20:32Speaker 1: good work, thanks. Uino Yama is obviously exhausted. He is
- 20:36Speaker 1: his hands on his knees and he's trying to catch
- 20:37Speaker 1: his breath and he's like, I'm so tired. Mafuju says,
- 20:41Speaker 1: are you okay want some tea? He walks past him.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Ounoyama looks up and makes a I don't know what
- 20:48Speaker 1: I'm supposed to do now noise sort of and mafu
- 20:51Speaker 1: You's like, you're not coming in o no Yama makes
- 20:54Speaker 1: a kind of scared sort of his noise. I don't
- 20:56Speaker 1: know how to describe the noises that uino Yama makes,
- 20:59Speaker 1: but he makes a lot of them, and Mafuyu continues, Oh,
- 21:03Speaker 1: my mom's not home, so it's fine. Yeah. Unoyama still
- 21:07Speaker 1: looks terrified, and at that point, Mafuyu's phone notification sound
- 21:11Speaker 1: goes off and he kind of gasps. He takes the
- 21:14Speaker 1: phone out of his pocket and he's like, oh, Uinoyama says,
- 21:17Speaker 1: what's up? Mafuu's like, Hidagi, one of my friends from
- 21:21Speaker 1: the old neighborhood, says he's on his way over. Uino
- 21:24Speaker 1: Yama looks kind of confused, but then he smiles this
- 21:28Speaker 1: terrified smile and says, well, I'll head home. Then we
- 21:33Speaker 1: now are just kind of looking at Mafu You, and
- 21:36Speaker 1: we hear Uinayama say siya, and then there's like this
- 21:39Speaker 1: slam and uina Yama's like, oh bye, and the door closes.
- 21:45Speaker 1: It's interesting that we didn't get to see any of that,
- 21:47Speaker 1: but it was kind of funnier that way, so that's fine.
- 21:49Speaker 1: I wonder what he banged himself into. Now we see
- 21:54Speaker 1: a close up of Kidama the dog's face and he's
- 21:58Speaker 1: panting as he does, and Keiragi is kind of leaning
- 22:02Speaker 1: out some like the balcony and she's Assuma's also there.
- 22:06Speaker 1: He's like hanging out with Kadama and ki Doki says,
- 22:09Speaker 1: it's so hot. Don't you have tea or anything? I
- 22:13Speaker 1: think he does because he just offered something to uino Yama.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Mafuy's like, why are you here? Kiragi says, what can
- 22:21Speaker 1: a guy come to visit? Mafu You says, I guess
- 22:24Speaker 1: it's fine. She's assuming. He's like, I didn't know you
- 22:28Speaker 1: had to. And then he gets cut off because Kidama
- 22:31Speaker 1: just jumps right up and onto his face and like
- 22:33Speaker 1: knocks him over somehow, and mafuy was like, Toma stop.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Ki Doki says, why the hell did you give it
- 22:39Speaker 1: a cat's name? I wish I understood this joke. A
- 22:43Speaker 1: Mafui is like, his name's Kadama. Dogi says, damn it
- 22:47Speaker 1: in size. Really, I have no idea what that joke means.
- 22:51Speaker 1: We now see a crowded subway station and uino Yama
- 22:54Speaker 1: has his hand over his mouth. He's kind of blushing
- 22:57Speaker 1: and his phone goes off and he takes it out.
- 23:00Speaker 1: It's three h nine pm and he has a message
- 23:02Speaker 1: from hoto Key and it says we're taking promo shots tomorrow,
- 23:05Speaker 1: so meet in front of the station at eleven. I
- 23:07Speaker 1: feel like you got to talk about these things first,
- 23:09Speaker 1: but whatever. Now we see someone else's phone and it
- 23:12Speaker 1: has an additional message like right after from Kaji that
- 23:16Speaker 1: says partied Hatakey's house after the shoot. It's Mafuu's phone.
- 23:20Speaker 1: He's looking at it and Hiragi says, what's up Mafuy's like,
- 23:24Speaker 1: we're gonna do more shows and intercompetitions, so we're taking
- 23:27Speaker 1: promo shots tomorrow. He Aggie's like, oh, Mafu, you says,
- 23:32Speaker 1: what are promo shots? K Doggie's head drops and he's
- 23:36Speaker 1: like he's talking about promotional photos. She's a Zuomi says, basically,
- 23:40Speaker 1: they're pictures of your band that everyone will see. He
- 23:43Speaker 1: Doggie's like, we need to take some too. Mafuu says,
- 23:47Speaker 1: you're in a band, Hidagi. Hei AGI's like, hey, you're
- 23:50Speaker 1: trying to pick a fight. The ones who were in
- 23:52Speaker 1: a band with Yuki were Shi'su and me, remember. Mafuu's like,
- 23:56Speaker 1: I know that, but you don't have a guitarist now right.
- 24:00Speaker 1: You don't have any friends, Hidaki, Oh my god. Hidagi
- 24:04Speaker 1: looks pissed, and he like tries to lunge at MafA you,
- 24:07Speaker 1: but she's a Zumi grabs his shoulder so he can't
- 24:11Speaker 1: and he's like, your little shit. He's like shaking with rage.
- 24:14Speaker 1: What is happening? Honestly, I'm on Hidagi's side. That was
- 24:18Speaker 1: mean anyway, She's assumed. He's like, we have a studio
- 24:21Speaker 1: guitarist playing for us right now Mafu You says, studio,
- 24:26Speaker 1: She's assume. He continues, sort of a temporary band member
- 24:29Speaker 1: who's just helping us out. Now usually it's for money, guys.
- 24:32Speaker 1: He's a friend from our school's music light club. He
- 24:34Speaker 1: knows what happens, so he's helping us out. Oh h,
- 24:37Speaker 1: I guess you should just probably find a guitarist because
- 24:40Speaker 1: I feel like it's been a while. But whatever, Mafu
- 24:43Speaker 1: You says, I had no idea you could do that.
- 24:46Speaker 1: She's assume. He's like, well, the specifics are kind of
- 24:49Speaker 1: hard to explain. Mafu You says, hey, wait, who's your vocalist?
- 24:53Speaker 1: He dogg He's like me. And with that, Mafu You
- 24:57Speaker 1: is trying so hard not to laugh, and he Agi says,
- 25:00Speaker 1: I'm gonna kill you to little shit. I bet Hedgi
- 25:04Speaker 1: has a beautiful voice anyway. Now we see the exterior.
- 25:07Speaker 1: It is sunsets, and then we see the box of
- 25:11Speaker 1: CDs and there's a couple of albums that I can read.
- 25:15Speaker 1: One of them is Clails or something, The Sleeper, and
- 25:19Speaker 1: it's a recognizable album cover, but I can't, for the
- 25:21Speaker 1: life of me figure out what it was supposed to be.
- 25:23Speaker 1: And then the other one we see very clearly is
- 25:26Speaker 1: one with Ugetsu on the cover with like a violin,
- 25:28Speaker 1: and it's called violin time. Come on, man, try harder. Anyway,
- 25:34Speaker 1: Mafuyu picks up headphones and sits on the bed and
- 25:37Speaker 1: he puts them on his head and closes his eyes. Yeay,
- 25:42Speaker 1: he's gonna listen to things. Let me go the eye catch. Yeah.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Now we see a building exterior, like a beige building.
- 25:49Speaker 1: I guess windows, you know, like a building. And then
- 25:52Speaker 1: I guess we go inside to a beige room with
- 25:54Speaker 1: a beige table and teal chairs and there are like
- 25:58Speaker 1: two green boxes of tissues on the table and there's
- 26:02Speaker 1: like a tablet there too, And then we see a
- 26:04Speaker 1: close up of Kaji and uino Yama. I think it
- 26:08Speaker 1: was hard because you can only see from like their
- 26:10Speaker 1: nose to like part of their chests, which is a
- 26:13Speaker 1: weird shot, and a camera flashes, and also they're like
- 26:17Speaker 1: wearing coats with like fur around the hoods, which feels
- 26:20Speaker 1: weird because I'm pretty sure A it's summer. B Why
- 26:23Speaker 1: I just don't get it. What is this esthetic? Now
- 26:26Speaker 1: we see the same kind of shot but with Haddoki
- 26:28Speaker 1: and Muffleu and then oh my god, it's take Chahan
- 26:32Speaker 1: behind a camera making some sort of frustrated noise I
- 26:34Speaker 1: don't know, and he says, damn it, you guys, knock
- 26:38Speaker 1: it off already. The next guy who can't keep a
- 26:40Speaker 1: straight face owes me five hundred yen, so about three
- 26:43Speaker 1: fourteen cents. Kaji is like standing there, his entire body
- 26:47Speaker 1: is twitching slightly, like he's having tremors basically, and he says,
- 26:52Speaker 1: the more you tell us we can't laugh, the more
- 26:54Speaker 1: I want to burst out laughing. Uinoyama puts his head
- 26:58Speaker 1: down suddenly and almost giggles and takes like, okay, oh no, Yama,
- 27:02Speaker 1: that's five hundred gen how dock. He turns away suddenly
- 27:05Speaker 1: and starts to stifle a giggle, and Takei's like you too, Hadigi.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Mafuyu looks normal. He is not at risk of laughing.
- 27:13Speaker 1: How Doki says, hey, that shouldn't count. Taki's like, you
- 27:17Speaker 1: can smile, but I told you no, dopey grins, tighten
- 27:20Speaker 1: those face muscles, okay ready, and then the camera clicks yay.
- 27:25Speaker 1: The screen goes white, and then we go to their stuff,
- 27:29Speaker 1: just their random stuff on a red couch, and we
- 27:32Speaker 1: hold on this frame of the red couch with like
- 27:35Speaker 1: guitar cases and shit near and on it and stuff like,
- 27:38Speaker 1: wait too long because it's not that interesting or important
- 27:41Speaker 1: at all. Then we cut to them looking at a
- 27:43Speaker 1: tablet and going, oh, Take says, uh, what's with the
- 27:48Speaker 1: fake reaction? Did they suck? Do you not like them?
- 27:52Speaker 1: How Docki says, no, we're just so moved that we
- 27:55Speaker 1: don't know how to react. We see the picture that
- 27:58Speaker 1: they're looking at now, and it's just the four of
- 28:00Speaker 1: them together. I think they have their instruments or whatever.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Of course except for Kaji because he plays drums, so
- 28:06Speaker 1: I can't just have them in any picture. And they're
- 28:09Speaker 1: all wearing those weird coats with the like fur around
- 28:13Speaker 1: the hood on kind of like just a plain light
- 28:16Speaker 1: blue background. Yeah, it's fine, it's fine. I don't know
- 28:20Speaker 1: what they're going for, like what is this? What kind
- 28:24Speaker 1: of what are you selling yourself as? Bandwise? I'm not
- 28:27Speaker 1: getting anything that feels interesting, like, oh, I want to
- 28:30Speaker 1: find out what those people are about. It's just really
- 28:32Speaker 1: just kind of like yag group picture. I don't know,
- 28:35Speaker 1: maybe I'm being a jerk anyway, how Docki says we've
- 28:39Speaker 1: never had our promo shots taken in a proper studio.
- 28:42Speaker 1: While Hodoki talks to take. In the background, there's like
- 28:47Speaker 1: a conversation going on between mafol U, Kaji and Wueno Yama,
- 28:50Speaker 1: and Mafulu says, you're smiling in this one. We know
- 28:52Speaker 1: Yama kun and Kaji's like, that brings your total to
- 28:55Speaker 1: fifteen hundred. Yet we know Yama's like stop that. Anyway,
- 28:59Speaker 1: back to the main conversation, Take says, huh, what about
- 29:03Speaker 1: your old band? What dock? He's like, I just kept
- 29:06Speaker 1: using a casual photo that I miraculously got. Kaji says,
- 29:10Speaker 1: I took one at a warehouse type place using a timer,
- 29:13Speaker 1: possibly Uinoyama. We're not seeing their mouths, so it's hard, says,
- 29:18Speaker 1: I had someone majoring in photography take one of me
- 29:20Speaker 1: in a foresty place. So does that mean that take
- 29:23Speaker 1: is a professional photographer, because that would be cool. Anyway,
- 29:26Speaker 1: Unoyama and Mafu you are still looking at the pictures,
- 29:30Speaker 1: and Unoyama looks away and then he kind of slapped
- 29:33Speaker 1: his hands on his cheeks and he says, this is
- 29:36Speaker 1: so embarrassing. He's like, wait, you're saying that now. Kaji
- 29:42Speaker 1: slams his fist on the table, and he's like, don't
- 29:46Speaker 1: say it's embarrassing. He looks away. I mean, I've been
- 29:51Speaker 1: trying not to say it the entire time. How doake?
- 29:54Speaker 1: He puts his hands over his face and says, please
- 29:57Speaker 1: don't say anymore. I'm so embarrassed about that smug look
- 30:00Speaker 1: on my face. Let's stop hurting each other, Okay, I
- 30:04Speaker 1: really like that. Anyway, there's still at the table. I
- 30:08Speaker 1: don't know why they're just hanging out at this stable,
- 30:10Speaker 1: but they are. And mafu you says, do amateur bands
- 30:13Speaker 1: need professional promo shots too? Uino Yama says, of course
- 30:17Speaker 1: they do. We need them for social media and flyers.
- 30:20Speaker 1: They're essential for a lot of things. H Mafu's like
- 30:24Speaker 1: yeah Hawdki says more importantly, what are you two doing
- 30:29Speaker 1: at the same time? Uinoyama says, studying for a test
- 30:32Speaker 1: and mafu who says modern lit ha. Doki's like, please
- 30:35Speaker 1: stop shoving your youth in my face. Uino Yama's like,
- 30:38Speaker 1: Hadaki san, you're in humanities, right, help me out. I'm
- 30:41Speaker 1: in a real bind. Kaji is just texting, by the way,
- 30:45Speaker 1: how do He's like, dude, do you not see me
- 30:48Speaker 1: uploading our photos and entering us in stuff right now?
- 30:51Speaker 1: Uinoyama says, well, I have no idea who this not
- 30:54Speaker 1: to mayssicky guy's talking about Taki says, ah, Koko mafus, like,
- 31:01Speaker 1: how are we supposed to know what anyone born in
- 31:03Speaker 1: the one thousands was thinking? That's not modern at all.
- 31:06Speaker 1: Kadaki and Kaji are just kind of like staring at
- 31:08Speaker 1: them and smiling, but they look really pissed off. And
- 31:12Speaker 1: TAKEI is just doing his camera stuff, not paying attention.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Ou no Yama says, and we already suck at this
- 31:18Speaker 1: stuff since we're in the science curriculum. Uino Yama and
- 31:21Speaker 1: Mafu you turn to each other and they're both like right,
- 31:23Speaker 1: Mafo you chuckles and Una Yama kind of blushes, and
- 31:27Speaker 1: Haadaki and Kaji now just look totally annoyed. Take who
- 31:31Speaker 1: is still looking at the camera and I thought was
- 31:33Speaker 1: not paying attention, clearly is because he just puts his
- 31:36Speaker 1: hand on Hadaki's shoulder. Like in condolences, we go to black,
- 31:40Speaker 1: we hear a voice say hello, We now see Hadaki
- 31:45Speaker 1: facing away, sitting with his hair partially up. And this
- 31:48Speaker 1: guy who we can't see his face making peace sign,
- 31:51Speaker 1: and the guy says, I'm Hanaoka, one of the lackey's
- 31:55Speaker 1: working at hair salon Hadusume, and this is my buddy
- 31:58Speaker 1: Hatto Chan. It's one of these again. We start to
- 32:01Speaker 1: see comments come on the screen, and the first one
- 32:04Speaker 1: from Yuichan says, oh, here we go again. Then Blaki
- 32:08Speaker 1: Shisu says Hanu Chan and the little male symbol is
- 32:12Speaker 1: a beautiful girl. Hanahoka's like, we're here with episode thirteen
- 32:17Speaker 1: of How to Blow Your Man's Mind Cute and Sexy
- 32:20Speaker 1: Styling seminar. Another comment from uv Max is like, the
- 32:24Speaker 1: only beautiful girl aspect of him is his hair. Hey,
- 32:27Speaker 1: Hadoki's beautiful. Someone named Yukatan comments I've been waiting for this,
- 32:32Speaker 1: and then raky Shishu says his hair is so silky smooth.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Yui Chan's like, I wonder how old they are. And
- 32:40Speaker 1: now Hanaoka says, and we're broadcasting live again today. We
- 32:45Speaker 1: cut to a closer shot of Hadoki, kind of seeing
- 32:48Speaker 1: like his back three quarter view a little bit, and
- 32:50Speaker 1: we can definitely see his facial hair. Not a good shot, guys,
- 32:54Speaker 1: and Shizuku comments, I'm jealous he can pull off that goatee.
- 32:58Speaker 1: Hana Oka's like, this time, we have some cue cards
- 33:02Speaker 1: from the manager. He puts a curling iron in the shot,
- 33:06Speaker 1: like next to howd key and continues, So I'll be
- 33:09Speaker 1: answering some questions as I start curling. Raki Sheshu comments,
- 33:12Speaker 1: this is new. Jesuzuku's like perfect timing. Ubi Max is like, oh, oh,
- 33:19Speaker 1: Foxov comments nice work manager. Anyway. Hanowoko says, let's see
- 33:25Speaker 1: from the glimpses I've seen of your faces on screen,
- 33:28Speaker 1: you both seen pretty hot? Are you both pretty popular?
- 33:33Speaker 1: Now there's just silence and the comments continue. Corotan nineteen
- 33:37Speaker 1: says same. Ubi Max is like sharp. Raki she Shu says, oh,
- 33:42Speaker 1: Foxsov's like say something lol. Raky she Sho's like, ah, perceptive.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Strawberry Boyce is like, ah, Shizuhu comments silence Lol. Raki
- 33:55Speaker 1: she Sho's like he's actually silent. Surfing Max says lol anyway.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Hanaoka's like, Okay, once we're done carling, we're gonna start
- 34:04Speaker 1: braiding the sides. Yeah, geez, guys answer questions. She's Zuka
- 34:09Speaker 1: comments he ignored it lol. Yuki Chan's like, cheer up,
- 34:14Speaker 1: Padu chan kotorn nineteen comments. He changed the subject lol.
- 34:20Speaker 1: Yukatan comments, I'm pretty sure they're popular. This is too
- 34:24Speaker 1: many comments for me to read like this. This sucks.
- 34:27Speaker 1: I shouldn't have done it like this, but now I
- 34:28Speaker 1: have hue Mac comments, I just saw the dark side
- 34:32Speaker 1: of Hanuoka. She's Zuku's like the manager's laughing. Lol. Let
- 34:36Speaker 1: me go to black Yeah, we hear hano Oka say.
- 34:40Speaker 1: I mean they're sitting in a cafe, him and Hadoki.
- 34:44Speaker 1: He continues, I've had girlfriends too, like three of them,
- 34:47Speaker 1: just like any other average guy. He's like, uh, so
- 34:51Speaker 1: have I? Hanoka says, But when works in the picture,
- 34:54Speaker 1: it's not easy. I meet new people, but it doesn't
- 34:57Speaker 1: get as far as love must be nice being you
- 35:01Speaker 1: what how doak? He's like, huh oh. His hair is braided,
- 35:05Speaker 1: by the way, and it looks super cute. Hanaoka says,
- 35:08Speaker 1: you're in love, aren't you? What kind of girl is she?
- 35:12Speaker 1: I'll make her fall for you with my awesome styling skills.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Haak He says, I guess I'll cut my hair then
- 35:19Speaker 1: maybe go for something girls would like little more. He's
- 35:21Speaker 1: kind of twirling his hair blankly Hanaoka's like, just kidding. Hm.
- 35:27Speaker 1: We see a large, long building at night, but I
- 35:31Speaker 1: think it's just a random building somewhere and how dock?
- 35:33Speaker 1: He walks to the door, which is his door, but
- 35:36Speaker 1: I didn't know this right now and he sighs and
- 35:38Speaker 1: rings the doorbell. That's why I didn't think it was
- 35:40Speaker 1: his door, because why would you ring your own doorbell?
- 35:42Speaker 1: And Kaji says coming, how do He's like, okay. Kaji
- 35:47Speaker 1: opens the door and says, hey, the braids are cute.
- 35:50Speaker 1: How doock? He kind of jumps at this. Kaji continues,
- 35:53Speaker 1: here you go. He is holding something up and how doak?
- 35:57Speaker 1: He says, huh, what the hell is that? It's like
- 36:00Speaker 1: a sash that's white and it has a red border
- 36:03Speaker 1: and it says like star on it. And then we
- 36:07Speaker 1: see Kaji leading Hadaki around the corner and he's like,
- 36:10Speaker 1: how Dookey's back says hey, and then he gasps. Everything
- 36:16Speaker 1: in the room is covered in blue tarps, including like
- 36:19Speaker 1: up the walls and the floor, and how do He's like,
- 36:22Speaker 1: oh shit, yeah, if I saw that, I'm pretty sure
- 36:26Speaker 1: I'd be getting murdered. Una Yama and MafA you appear,
- 36:29Speaker 1: I guess they're all gonna kill him together. Nuennayama is like,
- 36:32Speaker 1: Haki son mafu you says happy birthday, how dock. He
- 36:36Speaker 1: looks surprised and he's like thanks. Kaji, who is standing
- 36:40Speaker 1: behind him, is holding up a I guess banana cream
- 36:44Speaker 1: pie and he says, hodoki kon how dock. He's like
- 36:47Speaker 1: huh and he looks over and Kaji pies him in
- 36:50Speaker 1: the face. I'm we got to black. That seems mean.
- 36:54Speaker 1: We now see a little bit of some windows on
- 36:56Speaker 1: a ceiling and we hear Kaji say ready, and we
- 37:00Speaker 1: cut to food chips, beer pie, some pockey sandwiches, stuff
- 37:06Speaker 1: on a table and they're all likeh Dooki san, happy birthday,
- 37:09Speaker 1: Hadaki san, happy birthday. I don't know if it's in
- 37:12Speaker 1: a song form, but that's what they said, and then
- 37:14Speaker 1: they clap. Haddocke still has cake, you know, like whipped
- 37:19Speaker 1: cream cake all over his face and he's like thanks,
- 37:22Speaker 1: I guess some of the cake falls off. We cuts
- 37:25Speaker 1: two u no Yama pulling down the tarps, and this
- 37:29Speaker 1: is when I finally was like, oh, this is where
- 37:30Speaker 1: Hodogy lives, cause you can kind of see what things
- 37:33Speaker 1: are now, and that seemed a little overkill for just
- 37:36Speaker 1: one pie, but hey, I like that they wanted to
- 37:39Speaker 1: be clean. We now see how to Key's phone and
- 37:43Speaker 1: there's a Twitter post and it says congrats to our
- 37:45Speaker 1: basis Hottogee, and it has a picture of him with
- 37:48Speaker 1: cake on his face and all of them standing behind him, like,
- 37:52Speaker 1: but you can't see them. You can only see their
- 37:53Speaker 1: hands like poking out doing peace signs. I don't know,
- 37:57Speaker 1: He's like, I mean, I had a hunt since you
- 38:00Speaker 1: said we have a party in my place. He scrolls
- 38:03Speaker 1: down and sees the comments, and of course the first
- 38:04Speaker 1: one is take saying congrats Hadagi, and then someone else
- 38:08Speaker 1: saying lol, and there were more, but they weren't translated.
- 38:11Speaker 1: Haddoge holds up the pie that's still there with his
- 38:14Speaker 1: face print in it, and continues, but I definitely didn't
- 38:18Speaker 1: expect this. God. He's like, well, it was a surprise.
- 38:22Speaker 1: Unoyama says, yeah, it was a surprise. How do He's like,
- 38:26Speaker 1: remember your next Dueynayama just you wait, mafel You says,
- 38:31Speaker 1: when is it. Unoyama's like, August you to give him
- 38:35Speaker 1: actual date, but whatever, mafel You says, Oh, that's why
- 38:39Speaker 1: your name's Ritzka. Unoyama looks a little bit freaked out
- 38:42Speaker 1: at this, and he's like, huh uh, yeah, I guess
- 38:45Speaker 1: what about you? Were you born in the winter? Maful
- 38:48Speaker 1: you says February. Okay, So I'll pause there because I
- 38:52Speaker 1: should have done this earlier, but I didn't because I
- 38:54Speaker 1: needed to look into it and I just kept forgetting.
- 38:58Speaker 1: So everybody in the band have names that kind of
- 39:02Speaker 1: sort of have seasons in them basically, So we just
- 39:06Speaker 1: heard Ritzka has you know, summer in it, which I
- 39:10Speaker 1: guess it has not. Sue is summer, so I guess
- 39:14Speaker 1: that's like Ritzka. I that was the biggest stretch for me.
- 39:18Speaker 1: But i'd also I'm not Japanese, so maybe it sounds
- 39:21Speaker 1: more normal and when you actually know the language. But
- 39:25Speaker 1: the other three are a little bit more Yeah, that's
- 39:28Speaker 1: definitely part of the word. So he asked if Mafu
- 39:31Speaker 1: was born in the winter, and he said February, so yeah,
- 39:34Speaker 1: so Fluu is winter, so that's easy. Mafuu. For the
- 39:37Speaker 1: other two, Hatu is spring HADDOKEI there you go, and
- 39:41Speaker 1: fall is aki aki he go yay. So now you
- 39:45Speaker 1: know why they were called the seasons and why they
- 39:49Speaker 1: could have still been called the seasons actually, but instead
- 39:52Speaker 1: they're given, which is better than the seasons, but not
- 39:54Speaker 1: as good as salted tongue. So continuing along, we see
- 39:59Speaker 1: exterior up some apartments. It's darkouts, and they're all like
- 40:03Speaker 1: thanks for having us. Then we see Yama and mafuy
- 40:07Speaker 1: walking and Mafu's like, do you think sound was happy?
- 40:11Speaker 1: Oh no, Yama's like hmm, not sure, Like I don't
- 40:14Speaker 1: think so, but who knows. Some guy is like coming
- 40:18Speaker 1: up the sidewalk riding a bike and he rings like
- 40:21Speaker 1: the little bell on his handlebars, you know, the little
- 40:23Speaker 1: cute bike bell. Mafou reaches towards Uino Yama and is
- 40:27Speaker 1: like here. Uinoyama's like, huh, Mafu, you says, give me
- 40:32Speaker 1: your hand. It's dangerous. Oh we know. Yama gasps me too,
- 40:36Speaker 1: that was super cute. We cut now to Hudoki. He's
- 40:39Speaker 1: like cleaning up and he picks up his phone and
- 40:43Speaker 1: he sees a tweet from the band, you know, from
- 40:47Speaker 1: Uino Yama. You know it reads in Uainayama's voice. So
- 40:50Speaker 1: it goes there was a festival on our way home,
- 40:52Speaker 1: And then we see a picture of Mafu's like back
- 40:55Speaker 1: and some signs from the festival, and he scrolls down
- 40:59Speaker 1: and then there's a picture of cotton candy and mafu
- 41:02Speaker 1: Yu says he bought me cotton candy. Haddock. He puts
- 41:06Speaker 1: his hand over his face and grunts and is like, ugh,
- 41:08Speaker 1: maybe it's safe. Yeah, I don't think so he turns, Hey,
- 41:11Speaker 1: Aki Ego, what do you? Kaji, who I didn't even
- 41:14Speaker 1: know was still there, is asleep on the couch. Haddogi
- 41:17Speaker 1: walks over to him and takes a picture of him.
- 41:20Speaker 1: Bad bad, don't do that. Don't take pictures of people
- 41:22Speaker 1: while they're sleep. That's weird. As he does, Kaji kind
- 41:26Speaker 1: of turns slightly, and how do he like, you know,
- 41:28Speaker 1: quickly walks away and then Kaji starts like chewing again,
- 41:32Speaker 1: and how Doogi looks freaked out because I think he
- 41:35Speaker 1: thought he was gonna wake up, But then he looks
- 41:37Speaker 1: at the picture and smiles, but then he looks like
- 41:40Speaker 1: not great, like this is killing him, and he kind
- 41:44Speaker 1: of sighs and you know, chuckles slightly, and he thinks,
- 41:47Speaker 1: I'm honestly just happy staring at this guy. Yeah you're not.
- 41:51Speaker 1: Kaji opens his eyes. How Dooge continues and every day
- 41:55Speaker 1: is a climax. He goes out on the balcony, so
- 41:58Speaker 1: I thought I was fine with having a one sided
- 42:00Speaker 1: crush on him. He likes a cigarette. We cut to
- 42:03Speaker 1: him as they perform being blown away by Mafou, and
- 42:07Speaker 1: he continues to think, but ever since I heard Mafou's song,
- 42:12Speaker 1: I felt really lonely. Oh. He exhales some smoke. Man,
- 42:18Speaker 1: I want a girlfriend, not a boyfriend. I'm confused. Now
- 42:23Speaker 1: we see a gates like over the festival, and there's
- 42:26Speaker 1: like lanterns and stuff and signs at like stalls. It's
- 42:31Speaker 1: a baby castella and chocolate bananas and tako yaki yay.
- 42:35Speaker 1: There are a lot of stalls and Mafuu he's holding
- 42:38Speaker 1: a stick, just a stick, and Wuoyama's like, you sure
- 42:41Speaker 1: devoured that fast. I believe it was the cotton candy.
- 42:45Speaker 1: Mafuu's like it was good, thanks. Wuoyama looks away and
- 42:50Speaker 1: blushes slightly. Sure. We see the lanterns. They're very pretty,
- 42:56Speaker 1: and Mafu you says it's almost summer vacation. Know. Yama's like,
- 43:01Speaker 1: we have finals before that though, I couldn't tell where
- 43:04Speaker 1: they were, but they were sitting on a retaining wall.
- 43:07Speaker 1: Mafu You says after they're done, it's summer vacation. Yama's like,
- 43:12Speaker 1: you got any plants. Mafou says, hmmm, work you know.
- 43:17Speaker 1: Yama's like me too. Mafu You says, also know. Yama's
- 43:22Speaker 1: like hmm. Mafo You says, I want to sing more
- 43:26Speaker 1: o No. Yama looks surprised and then smiles yeah. We
- 43:30Speaker 1: get a shot of the bay from the last episode,
- 43:33Speaker 1: and then we see them on the train. These are
- 43:35Speaker 1: all still shots, by the way, Etaya playing soccer, uh
- 43:39Speaker 1: I keep playing basketball, and then all of them at
- 43:42Speaker 1: least know Yama's class talking in the classroom, and then
- 43:46Speaker 1: ugets to looking out the window in in airports and
- 43:50Speaker 1: k damas sleeping on the dog bed in Mafuu's room
- 43:54Speaker 1: with Mafuu's guitar on his bed, and then we cut
- 43:57Speaker 1: to that stairwell where they usually sit empty now and
- 44:00Speaker 1: back to now we know, Yama says, Mafu you. Mafia's like, hmm,
- 44:05Speaker 1: we know. Yama continues, what kind of song do you
- 44:08Speaker 1: want to write? Next? Mafi is quiet for a second
- 44:11Speaker 1: and he looks up at the sky. Next time, let
- 44:14Speaker 1: me go to the title card number eleven, song two,
- 44:18Speaker 1: and then we go to the ending sort of it's
- 44:21Speaker 1: a little bit different. It's mostly just the dog walking
- 44:23Speaker 1: instead of playing, and it's kind of reverse colors, you know, yay,
- 44:29Speaker 1: and that's it yay, I guess, so there you go.
- 44:33Speaker 1: Song too is because he wants to write another song,
- 44:36Speaker 1: so it would be the second song. So that's perfect,
- 44:39Speaker 1: but we don't know what the song is gonna be
- 44:41Speaker 1: about because that's the end of the anime. Oh that
- 44:45Speaker 1: being said, there is, as I'm pretty sure I said
- 44:48Speaker 1: in like the first episode, there's a movie after this
- 44:51Speaker 1: that I really liked and resolved some stuff that's going
- 44:54Speaker 1: on between Akikiko and Haddo Key, which is really nice
- 44:58Speaker 1: to see because we're kind of at a weird spot
- 45:00Speaker 1: for Huddocky where he's like really not doing well and
- 45:05Speaker 1: we don't know what's going on with Kaji obviously with
- 45:07Speaker 1: him still living with this dude that he's definitely not dating,
- 45:10Speaker 1: and we don't know what his feelings are towards anyone really,
- 45:13Speaker 1: so a lot of that gets resolved. So if you
- 45:15Speaker 1: like this, I absolutely suggest that you watch the movie.
- 45:19Speaker 1: And then I think that there are some oba's that
- 45:21Speaker 1: kind of finish up things that I have not watched,
- 45:24Speaker 1: which I also told you about, and I don't think
- 45:27Speaker 1: they were as well regarded as the rest of this.
- 45:29Speaker 1: But yeah, so you can continue when you can finish
- 45:33Speaker 1: this out as anime if you want to. But that's
- 45:36Speaker 1: what we got for the actual season of this anime.
- 45:39Speaker 1: So a couple of things I wanted to talk about.
- 45:42Speaker 1: The whole big thing with not dating people in a
- 45:45Speaker 1: band with you. Yeah, I mean, it's probably not a
- 45:50Speaker 1: good idea if you can help it to be in
- 45:52Speaker 1: a band, you know, with someone that you're dating, because
- 45:56Speaker 1: most relationships end and most bands end to though, But
- 46:00Speaker 1: if you're looking for longevity in your band, it's hard,
- 46:03Speaker 1: I guess when you know things are falling apart with
- 46:06Speaker 1: you and another person and you still have to be
- 46:08Speaker 1: together all the time to like sing and play music.
- 46:11Speaker 1: So I get why it's not a great idea. I
- 46:14Speaker 1: don't think that it's a hard and fast rule. And
- 46:16Speaker 1: I definitely know of people who are in bands with
- 46:19Speaker 1: significant others and it's fine. And I know of bands
- 46:23Speaker 1: that had people break up within them and they manage
- 46:26Speaker 1: to continue being successful musicians. So yeah, I mean I
- 46:31Speaker 1: think it's fine. I mean in some ways, it's probably
- 46:34Speaker 1: nice if the relationship is good, to get to be
- 46:36Speaker 1: with that person a lot more, to have similar interests.
- 46:39Speaker 1: But I don't really know because I'm me and I'm
- 46:42Speaker 1: not in a band with people, so who knows. I
- 46:45Speaker 1: did think it was also kind of weird that Hockey
- 46:48Speaker 1: didn't want them to let anyone know that they were dating.
- 46:53Speaker 1: I got the impression that it's important to have like
- 46:56Speaker 1: a persona and to feel like you're accessible to your audience,
- 47:00Speaker 1: Like your audience can kind of have a crush on
- 47:02Speaker 1: you and not think that you're romantically involved, and that's
- 47:05Speaker 1: like how you kind of get them. Eh. I would
- 47:08Speaker 1: not suggest doing any of that. Be yourself. Let people
- 47:12Speaker 1: know who you are and what you're doing, and they
- 47:15Speaker 1: will be way more receptive to you than if you
- 47:17Speaker 1: try to present this like fake image of yourself. I
- 47:21Speaker 1: mean that about everything, all the time. Be yourself. I mean.
- 47:25Speaker 1: The only other thing I can think of is that
- 47:26Speaker 1: it's weird because we know Yama and maful you are gay,
- 47:31Speaker 1: So maybe that's another like maybe we shouldn't tell people
- 47:35Speaker 1: because maybe they won't feel the same way about this band.
- 47:37Speaker 1: But I really don't know how that is in Japan
- 47:40Speaker 1: right now, if like that would factor in or not.
- 47:42Speaker 1: But regardless, this band is kind of focusing on having
- 47:46Speaker 1: like really deep emotional lyrics. Best to just be yourself
- 47:50Speaker 1: because they're gonna find out anyway through the lyrics probably,
- 47:54Speaker 1: so yeah, yeah, everybody will respect you more if you're
- 47:58Speaker 1: just honest about it. So I don't know how that
- 48:03Speaker 1: works out. I don't think I've read all of the manga.
- 48:07Speaker 1: In fact, I know I haven't because it's hard to
- 48:09Speaker 1: read the manga because it doesn't have music in it
- 48:11Speaker 1: and it needs music. And I definitely haven't seen the oba,
- 48:14Speaker 1: so I really should do that. But yeah, so there's that.
- 48:19Speaker 1: And also I was going to take a quick look
- 48:20Speaker 1: at this part of the manga, but I'm pretty sure
- 48:22Speaker 1: a lot of this is anime original. It just feels
- 48:25Speaker 1: like it is. So I mean, I think it went well.
- 48:28Speaker 1: It was a nice way, you know, like everything got
- 48:30Speaker 1: wrapped up pretty nicely. I mean, besides what's going on
- 48:34Speaker 1: with Hotokey, the storyline of the show and all of
- 48:37Speaker 1: that and them continuing as a band felt like it
- 48:42Speaker 1: wrapped up as well as it could for the anime.
- 48:46Speaker 1: So yeah, I mean I liked this. I sadly, and
- 48:50Speaker 1: I hate this, I really do. I just didn't like
- 48:53Speaker 1: it as much as I liked it the first time
- 48:54Speaker 1: I watched it, And I don't know exactly why that is.
- 48:57Speaker 1: I mean, I probably do. It's probably because or a
- 49:00Speaker 1: show that is about a band, it really really didn't
- 49:03Speaker 1: focus on the music that much, and when it did,
- 49:06Speaker 1: it was wrong about things. So that kind of sucks. Yeah,
- 49:11Speaker 1: but what are you gonna do. I'm sure it's just
- 49:14Speaker 1: like everything else. If you have something that you know
- 49:16Speaker 1: a lot about, you're gonna find problems with whatever you're watching.
- 49:20Speaker 1: If the people who are writing it and producing it
- 49:22Speaker 1: and don't know that much about it but they like it,
- 49:25Speaker 1: but they're just not in that world, So it's probably
- 49:29Speaker 1: just a me problem. There also wasn't a lot of
- 49:33Speaker 1: Soka go. The animation was only as much as necessary
- 49:37Speaker 1: in most places. Even during the show, we just didn't
- 49:41Speaker 1: see a lot of them performing. I mean, we didn't
- 49:43Speaker 1: see a lot of like hands and actual parts of
- 49:46Speaker 1: their body that were performing detailed complex things like rhythms
- 49:51Speaker 1: and guitars and stuff like that, and drums. So that's
- 49:54Speaker 1: kind of sad because that would have been cool to
- 49:56Speaker 1: have more of that but yeah, I mean I like it.
- 50:01Speaker 1: Do I think that Mafuu and Uinoyama are like a
- 50:04Speaker 1: great couple. I don't know, I think they're okay. This
- 50:08Speaker 1: isn't a relationship to me that I feel like, well
- 50:10Speaker 1: they're like meant to be together or whatever, but they
- 50:13Speaker 1: seem to like each other. I totally get why, you know,
- 50:18Speaker 1: I'm not sure. I'm not sure if I see chemistry
- 50:22Speaker 1: there completely, but I'm happy for him. And yeah, yeah,
- 50:29Speaker 1: I hope that you enjoyed this. I really do, and
- 50:31Speaker 1: I wish I had more to say. Oh, but I
- 50:33Speaker 1: will say that I like Hidagi and Mafuu was mean
- 50:38Speaker 1: to him, and I think he's just kind of teasing
- 50:40Speaker 1: sort of. But fucking hith Agi just wants to be
- 50:43Speaker 1: loved and forgiven and treated well. So I just want
- 50:46Speaker 1: to hug him because I think he needs it many hugs,
- 50:50Speaker 1: and then he needs to calm to hell them. But yeah,
- 50:54Speaker 1: this anime, you know, despite having kind of like a
- 50:57Speaker 1: heaviness to it with what's going off Mafou, it's kind
- 51:00Speaker 1: of a lighter take on things, like you know, it's
- 51:03Speaker 1: it's a slice of type show. So I don't have
- 51:06Speaker 1: any like things that I need to ponder over and
- 51:09Speaker 1: kind of be like what did this mean? Or like
- 51:12Speaker 1: how is this gonna impact this thing? So yeah, it
- 51:16Speaker 1: was nice. Man, I want to be like real excited
- 51:20Speaker 1: and I'm not, and it makes me sad and it
- 51:22Speaker 1: makes me feel like you're going to not like me.
- 51:26Speaker 1: So if you don't like me anymore, welcome to the club.
- 51:30Speaker 1: It's you and everybody else, I'm sure. But if you
- 51:33Speaker 1: do like me, thank you. And also, we're going to
- 51:37Speaker 1: start a new anime because this one is over and
- 51:40Speaker 1: it's gonna be Serial Experiments Lane, which if you need
- 51:44Speaker 1: to find it legally would be on Apple TV. It
- 51:48Speaker 1: finally has somewhere that it lives again, so that's nice,
- 51:52Speaker 1: and I'm sure the other places too. But it's totally
- 51:55Speaker 1: different than this and a lot doer than most of
- 51:57Speaker 1: the other things we've been doing, which is kind of
- 52:00Speaker 1: nice to just have things that are very different from
- 52:02Speaker 1: each other. So maybe you will like some of them
- 52:05Speaker 1: and not hate me. But yeah, it's hopefully gonna be
- 52:10Speaker 1: really interesting. I the last time I saw it was
- 52:13Speaker 1: like maybe five, six, seven years ago, so I don't
- 52:19Speaker 1: remember it super well, like it's Lane, but like there's
- 52:22Speaker 1: definitely elements of it that are like really dense that
- 52:25Speaker 1: I think would be really fun to kind of look
- 52:26Speaker 1: through with a bunch of people that can't see me
- 52:30Speaker 1: and I can't hear them so they can't talk back
- 52:32Speaker 1: to me like you. So I'm kind of excited about it.
- 52:36Speaker 1: Hopefully it'll go well. What I'm gonna do is I'm
- 52:40Speaker 1: gonna take next week off sort of. I want to
- 52:43Speaker 1: do a little show about you know, try again Stargas,
- 52:47Speaker 1: like I said at the beginning, So that'll either be
- 52:49Speaker 1: next week or the following week, so two weeks, and
