- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. When it comes to Jeffrey Epstein and mysterious deaths,
- 0:09Speaker 1: there are still a lot of unanswered questions. Now, a
- 0:13Speaker 1: lot of people want to chalk it up to coincidence,
- 0:16Speaker 1: and I'm sure that some of these deaths most certainly are.
- 0:20Speaker 1: But when you have as many as we have around Epstein,
- 0:23Speaker 1: questions have to be asked. And now we have another
- 0:28Speaker 1: death in To add to the equation. And this time
- 0:31Speaker 1: we're talking about a man named Simon Andres, who used
- 0:37Speaker 1: to work for Cantor Fitzgerald, and who was a whistleblower
- 0:42Speaker 1: who outed Howard Lutnick and his relationship to Epstein. And
- 0:46Speaker 1: wouldn't you know it, Mr. Andres ends up meeting his
- 0:49Speaker 1: fate in Thailand. Now, I'm not going to sit here
- 0:53Speaker 1: and tell you that Jeffrey Epstein's organization took this dude out.
- 0:59Speaker 1: But what I am going to say is that it's
- 1:01Speaker 1: another one of these weird-ass so-called coincidences surrounding Jeffrey Epstein
- 1:06Speaker 1: and people who die in his orbit. So today, we
- 1:10Speaker 1: have an article from The Sun and the headline, Brit
- 1:13Speaker 1: Epstein Whistleblower 57 Found Dead Months After Revealing Links Between
- 1:17Speaker 1: Petto and U.S. Official Amid Calls for Probe. This article
- 1:22Speaker 1: was authored by Jalyn Mechmit, UK MPs, have now called
- 1:28Speaker 1: for a probe into the death of Simon Andres, 57,
- 1:32Speaker 1: saying his case raises deeply troubling questions. Well, I'd say so.
- 1:38Speaker 1: I mean, we're just getting over Daniel Syed allegedly committing suicide,
- 1:43Speaker 1: and now we have this dude who allegedly took his
- 1:46Speaker 1: own life, just like Mark Middleton, and how many other
- 1:49Speaker 1: people that have been around this case, including Epstein himself.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Oh yeah, don't forget Jean-Luc Bruneau. All of that's just
- 1:57Speaker 1: a coincidence. And I'm sure that everybody's just clipping themselves
- 2:00Speaker 1: because they have nothing to hide, right? If they are
- 2:02Speaker 1: the ones doing it. That screams guilt to me as
- 2:07Speaker 1: far as Jean-Luc Brunel and Jeffrey Epstein go. Now, when
- 2:10Speaker 1: it comes to people like Mr. Andres, I don't know.
- 2:14Speaker 1: I don't know what his life was like. Was he
- 2:16Speaker 1: going through it? Did he have, you know, issues at home?
- 2:19Speaker 1: Those are all questions that have to be answered. But
- 2:22Speaker 1: anybody who thinks it's not curious at the very least,
- 2:25Speaker 1: has not been paying attention. The former Wall Street banker
- 2:28Speaker 1: died by suicide in Thailand last month. His family has confirmed.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Months earlier, Andres had revealed emails he claimed exposed business
- 2:37Speaker 1: ties between U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and Jeffrey Epstein.
- 2:41Speaker 1: And we all know that old Howie boy isn't just
- 2:43Speaker 1: going to let it slide, right? That's a man that
- 2:46Speaker 1: likes his vengeance. That's a man that likes some comeuppance.
- 2:50Speaker 1: That's a man who's used to getting his way. And
- 2:52Speaker 1: then you have somebody like Mr. Andres... who shows up
- 2:56Speaker 1: and overturns the apple cart, not something that someone like
- 2:59Speaker 1: Howard Ludnick is used to dealing with. He's used to
- 3:02Speaker 1: having people listen to everything he says and do everything
- 3:06Speaker 1: he says. And Mr. Andres committed the cardinal sin, right?
- 3:10Speaker 1: He spoke out of school. He went to the authorities.
- 3:13Speaker 1: And in the world of Howard Ludnick, much like in
- 3:15Speaker 1: the world of organized crime, that's a non-starter. If you
- 3:20Speaker 1: go to the authorities, there will be consequences. Andrees had
- 3:25Speaker 1: previously worked under Lutnick. The MP also raised concerns over
- 3:29Speaker 1: how whistleblowers were treated after approaching the Financial Conduct Authority
- 3:33Speaker 1: with allegations of wrongdoing and the retaliation they may subsequently face. Well,
- 3:39Speaker 1: at a company like Cantor, for sure. You're going to
- 3:42Speaker 1: be ostracized, blackballed, the whole thing. And you know that
- 3:45Speaker 1: they put the word out that Mr. Andrees shouldn't get
- 3:48Speaker 1: a job in the industry, right? Call all their friends,
- 3:51Speaker 1: talk to everybody. Hey, look, Wink, wink, nudge, nudge. Lose
- 3:55Speaker 1: that resume. Labor MP John McDonald has since described Andre's
- 4:01Speaker 1: death as a profound and preventable tragedy. He warned that
- 4:05Speaker 1: whistleblowers were vital to policing the financial system and needed
- 4:09Speaker 1: to be properly protected. Well, that's true. There needs to
- 4:12Speaker 1: be safeguards for people that come forward and blow the
- 4:17Speaker 1: whistle on powerful people. And a lot of times people
- 4:20Speaker 1: aren't willing to come forward because they know that they're
- 4:23Speaker 1: not going to have any kind of protection, and the
- 4:25Speaker 1: vast majority of people aren't trying to rock the boat.
- 4:28Speaker 1: They're not trying to go up against very powerful people.
- 4:31Speaker 1: They know that's a losing proposition. So that's why whistleblower laws,
- 4:36Speaker 1: safe harbor laws, are important. He warned that whistleblowers were
- 4:42Speaker 1: vital to policing the financial system, and needed to be
- 4:45Speaker 1: properly protected. Andres said, had uncovered a 2018 email chain
- 4:50Speaker 1: which he claimed showed Lutnick and Epstein discussing Adfin, a
- 4:54Speaker 1: digital advertising startup to which they were both investors. The
- 4:58Speaker 1: messages were exchanged a decade after Epstein pleaded guilty in
- 5:02Speaker 1: 2008 to soliciting prostitution from a minor. But Lutnick had
- 5:06Speaker 1: no idea. He was just his next-door neighbor. Good old
- 5:10Speaker 1: Howie never had any access to the internet, right? He
- 5:13Speaker 1: had no idea what was going on in the world.
- 5:15Speaker 1: One of the most powerful and richest dudes around. had
- 5:17Speaker 1: no clue that his neighbor was Captain Diddle Shoes. These
- 5:22Speaker 1: people really think we're stupid. They think that we're so
- 5:25Speaker 1: dumb that we're never gonna catch the gag. Well, unfortunately
- 5:29Speaker 1: for them, we've caught the gag. And none of us
- 5:33Speaker 1: are laughing. Epstein died behind bars in 2019 while awaiting
- 5:39Speaker 1: trial on federal sex trafficking charges. Andres discovered the emails
- 5:44Speaker 1: while trawling through the huge release of Epstein files for HWL,
- 5:49Speaker 1: Lutnick's initials. And remember when Howard Lutnick tried to tell
- 5:53Speaker 1: everybody that everything was overblown? He hardly knew the guy,
- 5:57Speaker 1: only talked to him the one time when he was
- 5:59Speaker 1: in the foyer, and his wife told him he was weird,
- 6:02Speaker 1: and he decided right then and there that he'd never
- 6:04Speaker 1: see him again? Well, I know this is going to
- 6:06Speaker 1: shock you, but that was a lie. And he, in fact,
- 6:10Speaker 1: was going to see him again. And he did see
- 6:12Speaker 1: him again. And not only that, they had business dealings.
- 6:16Speaker 1: which Howard Lutnick also lied about. And not only did
- 6:19Speaker 1: he lie about it, lied to Congress, and lied to
- 6:23Speaker 1: the American people. And usually that's the end of it, right?
- 6:26Speaker 1: When people call you out on lying, and we can
- 6:28Speaker 1: prove it, that's the end of your political career. But nowadays,
- 6:32Speaker 1: that's how you get elevated. That's how you get a promotion.
- 6:38Speaker 1: He told the BBC in July that he knew from
- 6:41Speaker 1: his years working at BGC Partners, where Lutnick was chief executive,
- 6:45Speaker 1: that bosses... often use their initials in emails. Andrees then
- 6:50Speaker 1: passed his findings to U.S. politicians before Lutnick appeared before
- 6:54Speaker 1: the House Oversight Committee in May. Lutnick told the hearing
- 6:58Speaker 1: he had only learned Epstein was an investor in Adfin
- 7:01Speaker 1: when the Epstein files were released this year. The Commerce
- 7:05Speaker 1: Department has said there was no evidence of wrongdoing. That's
- 7:08Speaker 1: not really the point, is it? The point is, he's
- 7:11Speaker 1: lied to the American people, he lied to Congress under oath,
- 7:15Speaker 1: and he continues to lie. And what's crazy is in
- 7:17Speaker 1: the old days, and I'm talking what, maybe 10 years ago,
- 7:21Speaker 1: that would be a death knell politically speaking. You'd be
- 7:24Speaker 1: done for. But now people just expect it. Oh, a
- 7:28Speaker 1: politician lied? Cool, the sun rose today. Water's wet. The
- 7:32Speaker 1: sky is blue. And P.S. All these politicians, they still
- 7:36Speaker 1: hate you. But Andri's revelation put fresh scrutiny on Lutnik's
- 7:40Speaker 1: previous account of his relationship with the disgraced financier. Ludnick
- 7:45Speaker 1: had said he first met Epstein in 2005 after moving
- 7:48Speaker 1: next door to him in Manhattan and was so disturbed
- 7:51Speaker 1: by his massage room that he cut contact. Turns out
- 7:55Speaker 1: that was a lie. I cut contact. He was so weird.
- 7:58Speaker 1: My wife told me. Yeah, sure. My guess. And look,
- 8:02Speaker 1: speculation and probably some hyperbole here. Howie was probably hanging
- 8:07Speaker 1: out with Jeffrey more than we know. Next door neighbors
- 8:10Speaker 1: pop in. Let me get a drink. You want to
- 8:12Speaker 1: hang out? Can we play some chess? Whatever it might be.
- 8:18Speaker 1: He later told the Senate Appropriations Committee that he and
- 8:21Speaker 1: his family visited Epstein's Notorious Island in 2012, saying, I
- 8:25Speaker 1: don't recall why we did it. Let me bring my
- 8:27Speaker 1: family to a convicted sex offenders island. Sounds like a
- 8:32Speaker 1: great idea for somebody who's part of the president's cabinet. Like,
- 8:36Speaker 1: what are we doing here, folks? This is the best
- 8:39Speaker 1: and the brightest we have? These absolute nincompoops, these are
- 8:44Speaker 1: the people that are going to lead us into the
- 8:46Speaker 1: golden age, the greatest time in American history. Talk about
- 8:50Speaker 1: sucking up the slop. Andres also raised concerns about Lutnick's
- 8:57Speaker 1: alleged links to Epstein years before the emails emerged. While
- 9:01Speaker 1: speaking to the FBI in 2020 and 2021 during an
- 9:04Speaker 1: investigation into other allegations he made about BGC, he alleged Lutnick,
- 9:10Speaker 1: had undeclared business ties to Epstein. According to the BBC,
- 9:14Speaker 1: the FBI did not investigate those accusations because they don't care.
- 9:18Speaker 1: They were told from their boss, old Donito Trump, that
- 9:23Speaker 1: the answer is no. There'll be no real investigations. What
- 9:26Speaker 1: I want you to do is give the whole country
- 9:28Speaker 1: a reach around and never give them a tug. And
- 9:31Speaker 1: I hate to be so crude, but that's what they
- 9:34Speaker 1: did to us, right? Talk about the ultimate rug pull.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Andres later made another startling claim involving Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. He
- 9:46Speaker 1: told the BBC that one of Lutnick's firms had explored
- 9:49Speaker 1: going into business with Andrew in 2013 through a £ 1
- 9:53Speaker 1: million loan. Well, that's not shocking. That's what Jeffrey Epstein
- 9:57Speaker 1: was doing. He was bringing all these people together. so
- 10:00Speaker 1: that they could utilize their power, their privilege, and their
- 10:04Speaker 1: position for one another. And then Jeffrey Epstein would, you know,
- 10:08Speaker 1: get his piece of his half. No different than the mafia.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Finder's fee, right? Or as we call it in the
- 10:13Speaker 1: sports book, the VIG. So basically, if Jeffrey Epstein holds
- 10:16Speaker 1: that 10% on every transaction, the motherfucker's never going to
- 10:20Speaker 1: have to work again. So if he middlemans all these
- 10:23Speaker 1: transactions and sets everything up, he's getting pieced off. So
- 10:27Speaker 1: that's how he made a vast majority of his money.
- 10:31Speaker 1: And you know what else happens with that money? Undeclared.
- 10:35Speaker 1: So the amount of money that Jeffrey Epstein had on
- 10:37Speaker 1: the books, I would say, and this is conservatively speaking,
- 10:41Speaker 1: at least double that. And that's what his real net
- 10:43Speaker 1: worth was, his true wealth. The problem is all that
- 10:47Speaker 1: money is hidden and we'll never find it. Andrees claimed
- 10:51Speaker 1: the plan was designed to commercially exploit contacts Andrew had
- 10:55Speaker 1: built as Britain's former trade envoy and was an attempt
- 10:58Speaker 1: to basically buy a prince while the prince was already bought.
- 11:02Speaker 1: And he would have just been another person buying the
- 11:05Speaker 1: prince's services and using the prince as a springboard. He
- 11:12Speaker 1: alleged that Lutnik offered the former prince a £ 1 million
- 11:16Speaker 1: loan in 2013 in return for for using his contacts
- 11:20Speaker 1: to attract investors. The deal never went ahead. Andres later
- 11:25Speaker 1: handed evidence to the Financial Conduct Authority over alleged misconduct
- 11:29Speaker 1: at Lutnick's former firm. Yeah, you mean like at Canter Gaming?
- 11:34Speaker 1: You know, the whole Jersey Boy scandal? The whole entire
- 11:37Speaker 1: nonsensical bullshit with Mike Colbert? With Liamitis? Absolute joke. And
- 11:44Speaker 1: the fact that Lutnick... was largely untouched by that controversy
- 11:48Speaker 1: is crazy. It was an absolute shitshow. And how do
- 11:52Speaker 1: I know? Well, I was working for the company at
- 11:55Speaker 1: the time. So yeah, I can tell you firsthand, absolute shitshow.
- 12:00Speaker 1: And I assure you, there was nothing going on that
- 12:02Speaker 1: Lutnik didn't know about. Among his claims was that money
- 12:05Speaker 1: set aside to pay brokers bonuses had been embezzled from
- 12:09Speaker 1: improper purposes. The firm has denied the allegation. Just weeks
- 12:13Speaker 1: before his death, Andres said that he'd been put through
- 12:17Speaker 1: absolute hell after turning to the FCA. Speaking at an
- 12:21Speaker 1: event involving MPs and whistleblower campaigners, he said he felt
- 12:25Speaker 1: thoroughly let down by the watchdog. He accused BGC and
- 12:29Speaker 1: its lawyers of retaliating against him for blowing the whistle,
- 12:32Speaker 1: something the firm denies. Oh no, that's something they do. 100%.
- 12:38Speaker 1: They try and hit people with that scarlet letter. But
- 12:43Speaker 1: the FCA previously told Andres there was insufficient evidence to
- 12:47Speaker 1: conclude he faced retaliation. He believed that that finding made
- 12:51Speaker 1: it harder for him to pursue a tribunal claim against BGC.
- 12:56Speaker 1: MPs have now called for the FCA to fund an
- 12:59Speaker 1: independent investigation into how it handles whistleblowers. Letnick was friends
- 13:04Speaker 1: with Andrew's ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, and attended their daughter Princess
- 13:08Speaker 1: Eugenie's wedding in 2018. You guys catching on yet? that
- 13:13Speaker 1: Lutnick's an absolute liar, and that this administration is littered
- 13:17Speaker 1: with absolute liars, and Lutnick is, you know, close to
- 13:20Speaker 1: the top of the list, in my opinion. Soon after
- 13:25Speaker 1: his revelations emerged, Andrees spoke publicly about the devastating toll
- 13:29Speaker 1: whistleblowing had taken on his career, health, and family. His
- 13:33Speaker 1: death was confirmed by Andy Agathan Angelou, founder of campaign
- 13:39Speaker 1: group Transparency Task Force, which had hosted Andrees's at whistleblowing events.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Agathon Angelou described him as a whistleblower who stood up
- 13:50Speaker 1: for what was right and valued member of our community.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Financial services expert and TTF community member Paul Callen said
- 13:57Speaker 1: Andres had bravely fought alone and vulnerable voice was let
- 14:01Speaker 1: down by some of those who needed to trust and
- 14:04Speaker 1: who were able to make a difference. That's how it
- 14:07Speaker 1: always works, right? Whenever you go up against very powerful
- 14:10Speaker 1: people like this, it's going to be a long road
- 14:12Speaker 1: to hoe And I think a lot of whistleblowers, they
- 14:15Speaker 1: get discouraged because they know that even if they come forward,
- 14:19Speaker 1: it's not going to have the effect they hope it has.
- 14:21Speaker 1: And probably they're going to end up taking it in
- 14:24Speaker 1: the pants. Callan added, it's a tragedy that he felt
- 14:28Speaker 1: so let down, how he sadly saw no way out
- 14:31Speaker 1: recently and was lost. To all of Simon's family and friends,
- 14:35Speaker 1: please stay strong. The pain must be unimaginable. And you,
- 14:39Speaker 1: along with Simon, are in the thoughts of so many
- 14:42Speaker 1: around the world. The words will never be right or adequate,
- 14:46Speaker 1: but so many are there supporting you, even if not
- 14:48Speaker 1: present or apparent, both now and in the weeks, months,
- 14:52Speaker 1: and years to come. Andres had spent 35 years in
- 14:55Speaker 1: the securities industry before being sacked by BGC in 2017
- 15:01Speaker 1: after raising concerns about alleged accounting irregularities. No, over I canter?
- 15:06Speaker 1: Come on. Everything's always been on the up and up. BGC?
- 15:10Speaker 1: has previously insisted his allegations were categorically false and said
- 15:15Speaker 1: they remained unsubstantiated following investigations by authorities in several jurisdictions.
- 15:21Speaker 1: The firm said Andres was dismissed after refusing to follow
- 15:25Speaker 1: medical advice or perform essential duties, rejecting reasonable accommodation and
- 15:31Speaker 1: abandoning his role. Lutnik has previously said he met Epstein
- 15:35Speaker 1: three times. He said, I unequivocally condemn the conduct attributed
- 15:39Speaker 1: to Jeffrey Epstein and everyone who participated in his illegal activities.
- 15:44Speaker 1: The survivors of his crimes deserve our respect and support.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Sure they do, Howie. And you're doing so much to
- 15:51Speaker 1: make sure that occurs, right? You're working tirelessly to make
- 15:55Speaker 1: sure that that happens, aren't you, Howie? The White House
- 16:00Speaker 1: also fiercely hit back at reporting about Lutnick's links to
- 16:03Speaker 1: Epstein in July. It told the BBC the BBC's pathetic
- 16:07Speaker 1: and desperate attempt to slander Secretary Lutnick will do nothing
- 16:10Speaker 1: to change the fact that he has been the most
- 16:12Speaker 1: consequential Commerce Secretary in modern history. Oh, here we go again.
- 16:17Speaker 1: The greatest administration in history. Oh, administration this, administration that.
- 16:22Speaker 1: We're doing such a great job. Just ask us. Yeah,
- 16:26Speaker 1: we're going to see how great a job you're doing
- 16:28Speaker 1: in about, oh, I don't know, a month from now.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Because the American people are going to have their say
- 16:35Speaker 1: at the ballot box. And I have a funny feeling
- 16:37Speaker 1: it's not going to end up the way People like
- 16:40Speaker 1: Howie Lutnick want. And guess what? They'll have nobody to
- 16:45Speaker 1: blame but themselves. Now, they're going to blame people like
- 16:48Speaker 1: Thomas Massey, and they're going to blame you. But the
- 16:51Speaker 1: truth is, the blame is with them. They made promises,
- 16:54Speaker 1: they didn't follow through, and they lied. And now, well,
- 16:59Speaker 1: now that bill is going to be due. Donald Trump
- 17:02Speaker 1: himself associated with Epstein and was photographed with him several
- 17:05Speaker 1: times during the 1990s and early 2000s. The US president
- 17:10Speaker 1: has always denied knowing about Epstein's sex offending. So look,
- 17:14Speaker 1: I don't know if this guy was killed or, you know,
- 17:18Speaker 1: something nefarious happened. And as of right now, it certainly
- 17:21Speaker 1: doesn't look that way from what we know. But when
- 17:23Speaker 1: we're talking about Jeffrey Epstein and we're talking about this
- 17:26Speaker 1: situation with whistleblowers, unfortunately, this is the fate that a
- 17:31Speaker 1: lot of them meet. So we'll have to see where
- 17:34Speaker 1: it all goes and we'll have to see what kind
- 17:36Speaker 1: of investigation pops up and what the FCA comes up
- 17:39Speaker 1: with over the next few days, weeks, and months. And
- 17:42Speaker 1: when we have some more information, like usual, we'll get
- 17:44Speaker 1: it added to the catalog. All the information that goes
- 17:48Speaker 1: with this episode can be found in the description box.
