- 0:46Speaker 3: was the one hundred and ninth birthday of the National
- 0:48Speaker 3: Park Service?
- 0:49Speaker 2: No, it's your job to call and tell us.
- 0:53Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 0:54Speaker 3: The problem is is I get to work at like
- 0:56Speaker 3: eight o'clock and then I see all my memories for
- 0:59Speaker 3: the day on faceboo book. It wasn't at eight o'clock
- 1:02Speaker 3: yesterday after check in and everything was over, or I'm like, ah, crap,
- 1:05Speaker 3: I should have called in and wished the NPS a
- 1:08Speaker 3: happy birthday this morning on radio from hell.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Well, you're only a day. You're a day late, that's all.
- 1:12Speaker 1: That's okay. The first national park established was which one?
- 1:18Speaker 3: The national park was yellow Stone in eighteen ninety. No, sorry,
- 1:23Speaker 3: eighteen seventy two, my dad.
- 1:25Speaker 2: I'm glad you corrected that.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Yeah, because I was going to call you on that.
- 1:31Speaker 3: Sorry. Eighteen ninety was Yosemite.
- 1:34Speaker 1: So the National Park Service started. How old is it now?
- 1:39Speaker 3: It is one hundred and nine. It was formed on
- 1:42Speaker 3: August twenty fifth, nineteen sixteen, So they had their centennial.
- 1:45Speaker 3: I don't know if you guys remember that big celebration
- 1:47Speaker 3: they had back in twenty sixteen.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Was that? Was that Teddy Roosevelt? Did you do that?
- 1:55Speaker 3: It was an Act of Congress, but so he officially
- 1:58Speaker 3: signed it when it was all done, but it was
- 2:00Speaker 3: formed by an Act of Congress.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Yeah, he's the.
- 2:02Speaker 7: One that went there and said, yeah, we should we
- 2:04Speaker 7: should have saved this.
- 2:05Speaker 1: This is nice, it's nice.
- 2:06Speaker 4: Here are they raking the floods? Somebody should do so well.
- 2:10Speaker 3: And part of it was because he was going nuts
- 2:12Speaker 3: declaring national monuments because of the Antiquities Act. He was
- 2:16Speaker 3: literally just going crazy before nineteen sixteen, in like nineteen
- 2:20Speaker 3: oh three, nineteen oh six. He's just going nuts, declaring
- 2:23Speaker 3: monuments left and right.
- 2:24Speaker 4: I remember when Congress had some power.
- 2:28Speaker 1: All right, well there you go, Kate. That's Kate. Thank you,
- 2:31Speaker 1: good times, all right, thank you.

- 3:36Speaker 6: This Mike. I'm listening here in South Salt Lake, enjoying
- 3:42Speaker 6: the show. I thought I would mentioned the billboard that's
- 3:47Speaker 6: on five fifteen going southbound Queen Midvale and Sandy.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Let's it say?
- 3:53Speaker 9: Uh?
- 3:55Speaker 6: It says X advertised the X ninety sixth Morning Show.
- 3:58Speaker 6: It's pretty good looking billboard.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Okay, I didn't know.
- 4:02Speaker 4: I didn't know it either, un tell yesterday. I saw
- 4:04Speaker 4: it yesterday.
- 4:05Speaker 7: Okay.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Yeah, we're pretty good looking people, aren't we.
- 4:09Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 4:10Speaker 6: On my way down to Eagle Mountain, I bashed by
- 4:12Speaker 6: there almost every day, so I just wanted to mention that.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Well, thanks Mike, Thank you Mike, and and thanks for
- 4:19Speaker 1: thinking we're handsome. Yeah.
- 4:20Speaker 2: I didn't know that was up.
- 4:23Speaker 4: Yeah, I guess, thanks Michael.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Thanks thank you.
- 4:27Speaker 4: Gino. What was your evaluation of the park bathroom? Well,
- 4:31Speaker 4: that's coming up this weekend.
- 4:32Speaker 7: Yeah, I leave tomorrow for San Diego for Festus's graduation,
- 4:37Speaker 7: and uh, Bill, when you weren't.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Here, but I don't know what you're talking about.
- 4:41Speaker 7: Well, we have the list of the best bathrooms in
- 4:45Speaker 7: the country. The contest is going on, and a Little
- 4:48Speaker 7: America's bathroom is on is on the list. But there
- 4:52Speaker 7: was also a bathroom.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Wit now Little America, which one here? Yeah?
- 4:57Speaker 2: Or Grand America? Sorry, Grand America.
- 5:01Speaker 7: And there's one in San Diego, to which I said,
- 5:04Speaker 7: I would, you know, do some research and go investigate.
- 5:09Speaker 1: That about no one.
- 5:11Speaker 4: The one in San Diego is in a park.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Yeah, a park.
- 5:14Speaker 7: Yeah, that's on the list of the best bathrooms in America.
- 5:17Speaker 7: And I am suspicious that a park bathroom could rival
- 5:21Speaker 7: the Grand America.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Well, who are we kidding? You won't know, you won't
- 5:25Speaker 1: even go in it.
- 5:26Speaker 4: That's that's the challenge.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm going to go. How much I care?
- 5:31Speaker 1: You're gonna go and then go?
- 5:33Speaker 2: Yeah, you have to use the facilities.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Uh is Maverick bathroom on there anywhere?

- 6:12Speaker 1: Is this just for your personal collection or do you
- 6:15Speaker 1: represent some organization?
- 6:18Speaker 9: It's for the American Red Cross.
- 6:20Speaker 4: Oh, I've heard of them.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Okay, all right? So yeah, so you say you have
- 6:25Speaker 1: some slots available. Do you have to make an appointment?
- 6:29Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 6:29Speaker 9: You need to go on to make an appointment because
- 6:32Speaker 9: if you just walk in. They might not have a
- 6:34Speaker 9: spot for you. I see.
- 6:35Speaker 1: So how it work? Go to this go ahead, you go.
- 6:39Speaker 9: To the Red Cross American Red Cross dot com, I believe,

- 10:36Speaker 8: They need you to just cheer them on, and that's it.
- 10:38Speaker 1: I agree. You don't understand how important these things are Ryan.
- 10:42Speaker 2: We have invested a lot of money in this. This
- 10:44Speaker 2: is how he's getting to college. No, it's not, it's not.
- 10:47Speaker 1: No, it's all right, Ry, Thanks Ryan, and good good,
- 10:51Speaker 1: good reffing good. Look. Hello, Yeah, what Hi, Dylan? Where
- 10:57Speaker 1: are you calling from?
- 11:00Speaker 8: From South Jordan?
- 11:01Speaker 1: Okay? What's up?
- 11:03Speaker 8: So you guys were talking about the greatest toilets in
- 11:06Speaker 8: America earlier, and I wanted to share the greatest toilet
- 11:09Speaker 8: I've ever used.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Okay, I'd like to hear a blow by blow on.
- 11:14Speaker 8: That, moment by moment, moment by moment.
- 11:18Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 11:18Speaker 8: So it's actually it's actually up in Yellowstone National Parks.
- 11:23Speaker 8: So there's a there's a backcountry lake up there called
- 11:26Speaker 8: Shoshone Lake. You can only get to it by hiking
- 11:30Speaker 8: or by canoe, and there's a camp site up there
- 11:34Speaker 8: that has a toilet. You walk down this it's like
- 11:37Speaker 8: a hallway of pine trees, these beautiful pine trees. You
- 11:40Speaker 8: walk out to the end and there's just a toilet
- 11:43Speaker 8: sitting out there. It overlooks this beautiful meadow with a
- 11:46Speaker 8: little stream flowing by and some mountains in the background.
- 11:49Speaker 8: And I've never been more in tune with nature than
- 11:52Speaker 8: when I use that toilet, you know, the greatest toilet
- 11:55Speaker 8: in America, you know.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Dylan, This this reminds me of really a bathroom ex
- 12:00Speaker 1: experience like that when you go on a river trip
- 12:02Speaker 1: and I've gone down the Colorado a couple of times
- 12:05Speaker 1: and down into Grand Canyon. They when they set up
- 12:09Speaker 1: camp every night, and I think the last one we
- 12:11Speaker 1: were on, we're out for like eight nights. But they
- 12:14Speaker 1: find a place to put the toilet and it's they
- 12:16Speaker 1: carry it with them, you know, and it's a chemical,
- 12:19Speaker 1: little chemical toilet, but it's all they always situated in
- 12:22Speaker 1: such a way as that when you're sitting there in
- 12:24Speaker 1: the morning doing your your business, you're looking out over
- 12:28Speaker 1: the Colorado River rushing by, and it's just really it's
- 12:32Speaker 1: very peaceful. It's really nice. It's a nice way to
- 12:35Speaker 1: go to the bathroom magic.
- 12:37Speaker 11: Yes, it really is, Lan Dylan. Are you sure you
- 12:40Speaker 11: didn't dream that from a Rick and Morty cartoon?
- 12:43Speaker 5: You know?
- 12:44Speaker 8: It actually reminded me of that episode. Yes, that that
- 12:47Speaker 8: that episode is uh, that's my toilet, that's my secret
- 12:50Speaker 8: toilet camp.
- 12:51Speaker 1: All right, thank you, Dylan, thank you.
- 12:55Speaker 4: Okay, let's Darren.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Hell yeah, what Darren? What's up.
- 13:02Speaker 10: Hey, So I'm having to Chicago tomorrow for a couple
- 13:04Speaker 10: of concerts, and I want to know where I can
- 13:06Speaker 10: get a good hot beef sandwich.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Jesus, Well I got.
- 13:10Speaker 5: So.
- 13:11Speaker 1: We were just there and I had a hot beef sandwich.
- 13:14Speaker 1: And it was just at a just like a little
- 13:17Speaker 1: corner market, you know, that kind of a convenience store,
- 13:20Speaker 1: a little bodega, and it they said hot, said hot
- 13:24Speaker 1: beef sandwiches on the and they had a little deli
- 13:26Speaker 1: counter and uh, you don't remember. I don't know, but
- 13:31Speaker 1: but they're all over the place, you know, they're all
- 13:34Speaker 1: over town.
- 13:35Speaker 2: So maybe you're putting it out there.
- 13:37Speaker 7: Maybe somebody knows and can call us or text us
- 13:40Speaker 7: and let us know the best beef sandwich in Chicago.
- 13:43Speaker 1: There are any number of places, and I'll bet you
- 13:46Speaker 1: they're all pretty good.
- 13:46Speaker 4: What what part of Chicago are you staying? Downtown?
- 13:50Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 13:51Speaker 4: Okay, all right? Soldier Field though, oh, Soldier Field.

- 14:13Speaker 1: to give a shout out to my good friend Kag
- 14:16Speaker 1: for introducing me to this morning show. How long? How
- 14:19Speaker 1: long ago?
- 14:20Speaker 10: Was that?
- 14:22Speaker 3: A couple of months ago?
- 14:23Speaker 12: We come into the office every Tuesday and we laugh
- 14:26Speaker 12: about the Hello.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Yeah, what together?
- 14:29Speaker 2: That's nice?
- 14:30Speaker 1: You enjoyed that? What do you guys do?
- 14:34Speaker 8: We work in property management?
- 14:35Speaker 1: Okay, thank you? Well, thanks so much. I'm glad you

- 14:42Speaker 1: is dumb. Why do you like it? Absolutely not? Thank you?
- 14:47Speaker 1: Thanks Alex.
- 14:48Speaker 11: Getting two reports Portillo's Sandwiches or mister Beef's. Of course,
- 14:54Speaker 11: if I'm picking, it'll be mister Beef's so I can

- 15:00Speaker 1: Hello.
- 15:00Speaker 5: Yeah, what this is Brad?
- 15:02Speaker 1: Hello? Brad? What's up?
- 15:05Speaker 8: Hey there?
- 15:06Speaker 12: Just wanted to call and thank you guys for doing
- 15:09Speaker 12: local morning radio my old radio station back from Colorado.
- 15:14Speaker 12: But they just sold out their morning show to a
- 15:16Speaker 12: big syndicated national show. It's heartbreaking.
- 15:21Speaker 1: What what what show did you listen to there?
- 15:25Speaker 12: That was X one on three nine in the mornings
- 15:29Speaker 12: with Summer and Crowley.
- 15:30Speaker 9: What are.
- 15:31Speaker 2: What's something that they did that you really liked because
- 15:33Speaker 2: maybe we can steal it.
- 15:35Speaker 12: Yeah, they would do the Sunrise Report where the Crowley
- 15:42Speaker 12: would talk about like the sunrise and describe it very
- 15:45Speaker 12: poetically and then do like one of the fake sponsor segments.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Okay, I like that. Maybe we'll steal it, okay and
- 15:54Speaker 2: make you feel more at home.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Anything else that we could steal that they did.
- 16:01Speaker 12: No, you guys are doing great.
- 16:02Speaker 1: All right, thank you. Thanks. We're better than them, We're
