- 0:50Speaker 6: of the New England Patriots, Toyota. Let's go places, and guys,
- 0:54Speaker 6: I guess let's start with Brady Knight. You know it's uh,
- 0:57Speaker 6: you know, my family was there.
- 1:01Speaker 7: You know.
- 1:01Speaker 6: I've had multiple people tell me they got a little
- 1:03Speaker 6: emotional during it. I felt like I just have my
- 1:08Speaker 6: fan hat on all night.
- 1:09Speaker 5: I was back to blogger Deuce and that's how I
- 1:11Speaker 5: took it in.
- 1:12Speaker 6: And to me, it was just a reminder of it
- 1:15Speaker 6: wasn't perfect, but it was amazing what those guys did.
- 1:19Speaker 6: And you know, I think you can choose to harp
- 1:22Speaker 6: on the last few years and how it kind of
- 1:24Speaker 6: fell apart and why and all that, or you can
- 1:26Speaker 6: kind of look at the whole thing and say, it
- 1:29Speaker 6: was pretty cool what happened and the.
- 1:30Speaker 5: Way that those guys all respect each other.
- 1:33Speaker 6: You know, you saw such a turnout for Tom Brady
- 1:35Speaker 6: all his teammates coming back. I mean, I know I
- 1:39Speaker 6: was part of it kind of, but like at the
- 1:41Speaker 6: same time, like I just I just took it in
- 1:42Speaker 6: as a fan last night, and from that perspective, to me,
- 1:46Speaker 6: it was it was perfect.
- 1:47Speaker 5: It was perfect. I think they covered everything.
- 1:50Speaker 6: You know, there was some family stuff, There was some
- 1:53Speaker 6: old defenders who kind of set the tone early on.
- 1:56Speaker 6: There was you know, plenty of moments between you know,
- 1:59Speaker 6: Bill and Moss and you know, guys getting extended ovations,
- 2:03Speaker 6: and I just I still think I'm processing it, but
- 2:07Speaker 6: last night I was just a fan, and I think
- 2:09Speaker 6: it was it was just really cool to kind of
- 2:12Speaker 6: feel like it was cathartic, and it was entertaining, and
- 2:16Speaker 6: it just felt like the ending that I really wanted
- 2:19Speaker 6: for this, for all the all the kind of sticky
- 2:22Speaker 6: points that we talk about here, at the end of
- 2:25Speaker 6: the day, it was something super special that happened here.
- 2:28Speaker 6: And you know, maybe the Patriots will win another super
- 2:31Speaker 6: Bowl down the road, but it's never going to be
- 2:32Speaker 6: like that again, where you're just consistently an AFC Championships
- 2:36Speaker 6: and knocking on.
- 2:36Speaker 5: The door of the Super Bowl. So you know, to me,
- 2:39Speaker 5: it was it was quite the night.
- 2:41Speaker 8: Yeah, I feel like in a lot of ways, there
- 2:45Speaker 8: was a celebration of the dynasty, not not just Brady.
- 2:48Speaker 8: Obviously Brady was the figure ahead of it and deserves
- 2:52Speaker 8: every possible thing the organization can give him, but to
- 2:57Speaker 8: have so many players from the die to see there obviously,
- 3:01Speaker 8: to have Bill there in Brady, it was it was
- 3:05Speaker 8: a culmination of the entire twenty years in using Brady
- 3:09Speaker 8: as a as a way into that and to tap
- 3:12Speaker 8: into that, and it felt like a final celebration of
- 3:16Speaker 8: the dynasty. As much as that's also kind of depressing,
- 3:19Speaker 8: it is there's some finality. The other thing I would
- 3:24Speaker 8: just say is that I thought that the best moments
- 3:28Speaker 8: were the organic moments, not necessarily the ones that were
- 3:32Speaker 8: planning usually. I you know, I feel like this is
- 3:38Speaker 8: something that I'm pretty proud of to like say that
- 3:41Speaker 8: I work here after a nightlight last night, because I
- 3:44Speaker 8: know how much went into it, first of all behind
- 3:46Speaker 8: the scenes, but also just the fact that they that's
- 3:50Speaker 8: how you do it, Like, that's how you you send
- 3:52Speaker 8: off an all time great like Brady and looking through
- 3:57Speaker 8: some things and googling and things like that. That was unprecedented.
- 4:00Speaker 8: And I was on the red carpet for a little
- 4:02Speaker 8: bit of it too, And just the amount of faces
- 4:06Speaker 8: that walked through that door and the amount of Red
- 4:08Speaker 8: jackets that walked through that door, and just from personnel
- 4:13Speaker 8: people to coaches Josh McDaniels, Bill O'Brien, Charlie Weiss, to
- 4:20Speaker 8: all of the players that were here, and then lastly,
- 4:24Speaker 8: as a thirteen or fourteen year old kid, Randy Moss
- 4:28Speaker 8: in the two thousand and seven Patriots is I will
- 4:31Speaker 8: always hold that up there. I know they didn't finish
- 4:33Speaker 8: the deal, but I will always hold up that up
- 4:35Speaker 8: there in the highest regard. Randy Moss is one of
- 4:38Speaker 8: my favorite athletes of all time, and I think that
- 4:41Speaker 8: for people my age, that's probably true across the board,
- 4:44Speaker 8: and the recognition that he got made me emotional, honestly,
- 4:49Speaker 8: you know, I was dusty in there a little bit too.
- 4:53Speaker 8: I was, and for a good amount of time afterwards too,
- 4:56Speaker 8: like I was still trying to kind of recover from that.
- 5:01Speaker 7: I just need to know one question, and that's di
- 5:05Speaker 7: did you and Tom get a chance to kiss again?
- 5:09Speaker 3: I actually spent the night in my office making sure
- 5:13Speaker 3: all the streams are working and all that, so I
- 5:16Speaker 3: never even got outside. But yeah, I what you guys
- 5:20Speaker 3: said is true. And I think what you said Evan
- 5:23Speaker 3: about the organic moments, we knew they would happen, but
- 5:26Speaker 3: you don't know what they will be. And I think
- 5:28Speaker 3: Randy's was won. And I think for fans like people
- 5:33Speaker 3: like Randy and Wes Welker, you never really get to
- 5:36Speaker 3: say goodbye like you want to, you know, like Randy
- 5:40Speaker 3: kind of left here all you know, he was being Randy,
- 5:44Speaker 3: and Wes left unceremoniously. And I think for a lot
- 5:48Speaker 3: of fans this was a chance to formally even Bill.
- 5:51Speaker 7: I thought the Bill was the highlight of the night,
- 5:54Speaker 7: to be honestly, even.
- 5:56Speaker 3: With Bill, they had the press conference, but fans never
- 5:58Speaker 3: had a chance to say how much they appreciated or goodbye.
- 6:02Speaker 3: And I think they took that opportunity in a few
- 6:05Speaker 3: of those cases, you know, to do that.
- 6:09Speaker 7: I agree. I thought Bill and Tom were excellent. I didn't,
- 6:12Speaker 7: you know, not necessarily the speeches and what they said,
- 6:15Speaker 7: but those moments, I thought, you know, we're pretty strong.
- 6:18Speaker 7: And I agree everything you said Fred about you know,
- 6:21Speaker 7: all the different guys who for whatever reason didn't finish
- 6:25Speaker 7: in New England, even Gronk. Gronk was going to get
- 6:28Speaker 7: the same thing that Mass did, but he stopped it. Yeah,
- 6:31Speaker 7: you're right, he just powered through and just kept talking
- 6:34Speaker 7: until they stopped. So, like I thought, that was an
- 6:37Speaker 7: opportunity for the fans, and you know, there's a lot
- 6:41Speaker 7: of stuff that you can talk about. I think it
- 6:43Speaker 7: was a really good night for the organization. I think
- 6:45Speaker 7: it went off well, and I'm really glad for a
- 6:49Speaker 7: lot of people that I you know, that I work
- 6:51Speaker 7: with every day that were really involved in this that
- 6:54Speaker 7: from a you know, from a production standpoint, a technical standpoint,
- 6:57Speaker 7: it worked. So that's the thing I'm most happy about.
- 7:01Speaker 7: But out of all this stuff, like Dion Branch's delivery
- 7:07Speaker 7: introducing Bill was great. And I'm not being disrespectful to
- 7:12Speaker 7: anybody else, Like he's the only one that was like
- 7:17Speaker 7: that looked like he belonged, Like he's like been on
- 7:20Speaker 7: stage in front of sixty thousand people every day of
- 7:22Speaker 7: his life, and you know the four things, and you
- 7:25Speaker 7: knew where it was going right when he started, you know,
- 7:28Speaker 7: and that's not like we knew like we knew what
- 7:31Speaker 7: the show was going to be, but you don't know
- 7:33Speaker 7: what's gonna like people are gonna say yeah, And as
- 7:36Speaker 7: soon as he says the foremost important things, you know,
- 7:39Speaker 7: we have the best fans and like, oh, I know
- 7:41Speaker 7: where this is going. And man, he was like like
- 7:45Speaker 7: an old time promoter talk about playing the crowd. And
- 7:48Speaker 7: that was just Fred. I clapped, Wow, Wow, we got him,
- 7:55Speaker 7: We got him. I clapped when that, you know, when
- 7:58Speaker 7: he got a chance to go out and you could
- 7:59Speaker 7: see Bill was like visibly now he played it up Bill,
- 8:03Speaker 7: you know, because he started talking with his hands. You
- 8:06Speaker 7: know when you talk with your hands, it's like thank you, Oh, no,
- 8:10Speaker 7: thank you. It was, but it was it was awesome.
- 8:12Speaker 7: I agree totally with Fred's point about giving the fans
- 8:16Speaker 7: a chance to say yeah, thank you to Randy Moss,
- 8:19Speaker 7: thank you to Wes Welker, thank you Bill Belichick and
- 8:22Speaker 7: whoever else ended up not necessarily leaving with a chance
- 8:26Speaker 7: to say goodbye and be thanked. So that was the
- 8:29Speaker 7: highlight for me.
- 8:30Speaker 8: That was the other thing that we were talking about upstairs,
- 8:32Speaker 8: amongst some other things that wield touch on. But those
- 8:37Speaker 8: sixty thousand people in the stadium, it's not disrespect anybody
- 8:40Speaker 8: else but that those are the fans like those are
- 8:43Speaker 8: the hardcore Patriots fans. And all the drama of how
- 8:48Speaker 8: it ended with Bill and all and Brady even two
- 8:51Speaker 8: and some of these other guys, none of that mattered
- 8:55Speaker 8: last night, which is really cool. It was a moment
- 8:57Speaker 8: for all of us to just forget about the last
- 9:00Speaker 8: couple of years. Brady's leaving for Tampa, and I feel
- 9:03Speaker 8: like we hear so much about that in other places
- 9:07Speaker 8: that it's all this negativity, and last night there was
- 9:10Speaker 8: sixty five thousand people there that could care less about
- 9:14Speaker 8: all of that type of thing.
- 9:15Speaker 3: And you know, a few players said it, you know,
- 9:18Speaker 3: there's only one guy that could bring everybody together like this,
- 9:22Speaker 3: And it's kind of right because you know my guys,
- 9:24Speaker 3: Like I mean, it's you know, I think it was
- 9:27Speaker 3: others too, but you know, like like Bill, he's got
- 9:30Speaker 3: his detractors, and you know, but and Robert, you know,
- 9:34Speaker 3: he's got his detract but Brady's the one that kind
- 9:36Speaker 3: of like you can't hate Brad no, you.
- 9:38Speaker 6: Know, well some of those kind think not anymore. Actually
- 9:41Speaker 6: I'm back on the train after last Yeah.
- 9:43Speaker 3: But like he was kind of like in the middle
- 9:46Speaker 3: of he was kind of the sun that everyone else
- 9:49Speaker 3: was orbiting around, you know what I mean.
- 9:52Speaker 6: Yeah, it's I mean, and I don't want to say
- 9:54Speaker 6: it's you know, I'm still like processing it, but you know,
- 9:58Speaker 6: like one of the things that kind of popped into
- 9:59Speaker 6: my mind mine was I think we talked so much
- 10:01Speaker 6: about Bill Bill was tough to play for, and I
- 10:03Speaker 6: think you know, Bill said that multiple times, but it
- 10:06Speaker 6: kind of stood out to me too that like Tom
- 10:07Speaker 6: wasn't easy to play for either no, and he could
- 10:10Speaker 6: be no and you know, and I thought, you know,
- 10:12Speaker 6: Gronk's story, which I mean, you know, Gronk took so
- 10:15Speaker 6: much crap in the roast about you know, just dumb
- 10:18Speaker 6: jokes that's what they made for him. But like he
- 10:20Speaker 6: really told the story of the progress. And I think
- 10:23Speaker 6: that's one of the most remarkable things about Gronk is
- 10:25Speaker 6: that he does.
- 10:26Speaker 5: People do have this impression of.
- 10:27Speaker 6: Him that he's not smart, but he described to you
- 10:30Speaker 6: how he picked up this really hard system under a
- 10:33Speaker 6: really hard coach and a really demanding quarterback, and it
- 10:36Speaker 6: just painted a picture that it was a magic chemistry
- 10:40Speaker 6: that these guys all had. And yes, some of them
- 10:42Speaker 6: are definitely a holes and not easy to work with.
- 10:45Speaker 5: And but that's the magic of it. It wasn't all.
- 10:48Speaker 6: Everybody's happy and we just kicked everybody's buff for twenty
- 10:50Speaker 6: years and we're all best friends.
- 10:51Speaker 5: Like that's not realistic, that's not how life works.
- 10:54Speaker 3: But even you know, like you said, Bill said himself,
- 10:57Speaker 3: he's hard to play for. But without Tom, he people
- 11:02Speaker 3: wouldn't have bought into Bill. Right, it's because Tom bought
- 11:06Speaker 3: in that everybody else bought in.
- 11:08Speaker 6: And I liked Willie's talking about getting the edge, and
- 11:10Speaker 6: that was you know, he had all the rookies there,
- 11:12Speaker 6: they were all in their jerseys. Drake may was there
- 11:14Speaker 6: for the whole thing. But you know that's the message,
- 11:17Speaker 6: that's you know, that was the seeds of it. And
- 11:19Speaker 6: it was those guys adopting that attitude of you know,
- 11:23Speaker 6: Willie McGinnis kind of holding it over the locker room's
- 11:25Speaker 6: head of what are you doing? I mean he said
- 11:26Speaker 6: it another thing, drinking water, you know, all these little things,
- 11:29Speaker 6: and you know, you want to sign.
- 11:31Speaker 5: So much credit to who and whomever.
- 11:32Speaker 6: But like that's a big part of it too, was
- 11:35Speaker 6: you know, that standard that they established and that they
- 11:38Speaker 6: held themselves to. And then I think everybody realizes now
- 11:41Speaker 6: once Tom Brady, the greatest player of all time, took
- 11:43Speaker 6: over that standard and was the standard bearer of that
- 11:47Speaker 6: attitude of constantly really working and really you know, doing
- 11:51Speaker 6: every last thing they do.
- 11:52Speaker 3: If the best guy in the team's doing it, I
- 11:54Speaker 3: better do it right, you know, right.
- 11:55Speaker 6: And how many of these guys like, I mean, I'm
- 11:58Speaker 6: blank and Welker, like Welker saying, he's screaming at me
- 12:02Speaker 6: all the time, you know, and all you see is
- 12:04Speaker 6: what happens on the game field. Then you see Welker
- 12:06Speaker 6: come out there Week one with the Jets and he
- 12:07Speaker 6: scores that touchdown.
- 12:08Speaker 5: You're like, man, this is gonna be easy.
- 12:09Speaker 6: But like it just shines a light on how hard
- 12:12Speaker 6: it was and how much work all these guys did
- 12:14Speaker 6: and that there wasn't It wasn't just like build the
- 12:16Speaker 6: evil dictator being like you got you know he was
- 12:19Speaker 6: certainly had elements of that, but they all were like
- 12:21Speaker 6: that and that's what really made it work.
- 12:24Speaker 7: Yeah, So it's almost like you the whole time that
- 12:29Speaker 7: all that winning was going on, we all wanted to
- 12:31Speaker 7: sort of get a peak as to what was going
- 12:34Speaker 7: on behind the curtain, you know, like what was the
- 12:38Speaker 7: secret sauce, what was the key to all the success?
- 12:41Speaker 7: And I think last night, you know, you listen to
- 12:45Speaker 7: a lot of people and you know, there was a
- 12:47Speaker 7: lot of repetition and stuff, but it basically it told
- 12:49Speaker 7: you this is what it was. This is that was
- 12:52Speaker 7: the peak. That's how that's how they were so successful.
- 12:56Speaker 7: It was talent, for sure, you can't do any of
- 12:58Speaker 7: that without talent, but it was all of that work,
- 13:03Speaker 7: all of the you know, the Tuesdays talking about Tuesdays
- 13:07Speaker 7: with the quarterbacks, Saturday night, you know, the Saturday night
- 13:10Speaker 7: meetings that Brady would kill them. Like again to your point,
- 13:13Speaker 7: like Tom was hard to play for too, that couldn't
- 13:16Speaker 7: have been fun, Like I dropped a passing practice on Wednesday.
- 13:20Speaker 7: You got to show it to me on Saturday before
- 13:22Speaker 7: the game. But you know, like how.
- 13:24Speaker 3: Many other quarterbacks on teams have their own film review,
- 13:28Speaker 3: Like not the quarterback.
- 13:29Speaker 7: I don't have an answer to that. I don't know,
- 13:31Speaker 7: but I'm just telling you that was pretty demanding.
- 13:33Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm sure not just done, but like he would
- 13:36Speaker 3: have to go to the team's video crew and say
- 13:39Speaker 3: these all these clips, all these clips, and they would
- 13:41Speaker 3: have to get it ready for him. You know, so
- 13:42Speaker 3: they were probably practice e Clipstuly, I'm doing it for
- 13:46Speaker 3: all all coaches. Now I gotta do it for you, right.
- 13:48Speaker 6: They're going through front to find like all Randy Moss's
- 13:50Speaker 6: drops in practice.
- 13:51Speaker 8: Like that game. You're dogging it here, you're dogging right.
- 13:55Speaker 7: Yeah, anybody, anybody, I mean, this is probably I know,
- 14:01Speaker 7: no one for me. Anybody that you were kind of
- 14:03Speaker 7: disappointed not to see or hear from Teddy Bruski.
- 14:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I was.
- 14:08Speaker 7: I was really for some that.
- 14:09Speaker 3: I thought I was really hoping when Slater came out,
- 14:12Speaker 3: he doing all Yeah, with the whole stadium able to
- 14:15Speaker 3: do it.
- 14:15Speaker 7: It's funny. I thought they were at the end when
- 14:19Speaker 7: they had all of the red coats. Yeah, up, on
- 14:21Speaker 7: the stage and at one point I think maybe Robert
- 14:25Speaker 7: was talking to them and that they kind of like huddle.
- 14:28Speaker 7: I thought they were going to do that. Yeah, I
- 14:29Speaker 7: thought they but necessarily with the whole stadium. I thought
- 14:32Speaker 7: they were going to do it.
- 14:32Speaker 3: No, I think the imagine you know, sixty thousand or
- 14:36Speaker 3: how many people were there all doing Oh yeah, that
- 14:38Speaker 3: would have been a moment.
- 14:39Speaker 5: I still love your idea.
- 14:41Speaker 6: That's a really giving that to the fans and making
- 14:43Speaker 6: that like another Patriots first down.
- 14:45Speaker 5: Oh yeah, like or something like that.
- 14:47Speaker 3: What do you think about putting Tom Brady into the
- 14:49Speaker 3: Patriots Hall of Fame?
- 14:51Speaker 7: But I have to say, I guess you know, I'm
- 14:54Speaker 7: gonna be good. This is not the day.
- 14:56Speaker 6: As someone who tried to pull that though during training
- 14:59Speaker 6: camp hype when you know, go out and I get
- 15:00Speaker 6: the cut crowd all lathered up and try.
- 15:03Speaker 5: How do we feel about being back at Patriots training camp? Yeah, well, like, guys,
- 15:07Speaker 5: we know this thing.
- 15:08Speaker 3: They may not have been the.
- 15:11Speaker 7: I think last night they would. I would think you
- 15:14Speaker 7: would have nailed that if you were able to get
- 15:17Speaker 7: that done.
- 15:17Speaker 6: To your point, and I did think about the Bruskie thing.
- 15:19Speaker 6: That's why I was kind of ready because I was
- 15:20Speaker 6: just you know, he was a vocal kind of guy.
- 15:22Speaker 5: But other than him, I can't really think of it.
- 15:24Speaker 5: I didn't.
- 15:25Speaker 3: I mean, Rodney turned it down. He wasn't there would
- 15:31Speaker 3: have been especially in that competition.
- 15:34Speaker 7: Those are the three guys Bruskievbel Harrison.
- 15:37Speaker 3: Where he had those guys, you know, because he would
- 15:39Speaker 3: have some good stories.
- 15:40Speaker 6: Yeah, but I think Willie McGinnis kind of represented that that,
- 15:44Speaker 6: you know, those group of older leaders that were already.
- 15:47Speaker 5: There when Tom you know, kind of arrived.
- 15:49Speaker 8: Yeah. I think the only when they did the Cornerbacks thing.
- 15:53Speaker 8: Kobe Brissett's here, so I thought that was a little
- 15:56Speaker 8: weird that he wasn't on the panel. And then to
- 15:59Speaker 8: get I thought it was if we got Jimmy, then
- 16:03Speaker 8: he could get the wolf Pack back together, and you
- 16:05Speaker 8: know that I think would have been cool. But I
- 16:08Speaker 8: don't know Jimmy. You know, he's probably off on the
- 16:10Speaker 8: hurt Island with some supermodel or something. But I don't know.
- 16:14Speaker 8: I just I really didn't feel that those are just nitpicks.
- 16:18Speaker 8: Like I didn't really feel like I missed anybody. But
- 16:21Speaker 8: for me as as like the nerd that I am,
- 16:25Speaker 8: you know, Billy oh, McDaniels, Charlie Weiss were all there,
- 16:29Speaker 8: you know them that talking talking ball about with Brady
- 16:33Speaker 8: might have been cool, but again, these are all just
- 16:36Speaker 8: I really like to.
- 16:37Speaker 6: Some of just the little details of like having the
- 16:39Speaker 6: old Brady ladies there and the barstool for guys came
- 16:42Speaker 6: into decked out and their stuff like those.
- 16:44Speaker 3: I don't know whose idea that was, but that was great.
- 16:46Speaker 5: That was funny. Yeah, that was funny.
- 16:48Speaker 3: And you know, I know from the run of show,
- 16:49Speaker 3: they thought the show would be done around nine to
- 16:51Speaker 3: fifteen hell, and yeah, it was like well past ten.
- 16:56Speaker 7: Still going.
- 16:56Speaker 6: We got in that defense panel, and I mean those guys,
- 17:00Speaker 6: you know, you could see Devin mccordy like, I've been
- 17:02Speaker 6: sitting here for ten minutes waiting to talk, you know.
- 17:04Speaker 6: I think those were supposed to be like twelve minutes
- 17:06Speaker 6: and they were all like twenty to twenty five minutes.
- 17:08Speaker 5: So but I think that it wasn't.
- 17:12Speaker 7: A conversation right two weeks ago.
- 17:14Speaker 5: Yeah, well, and that's what you kind of thought would happen.
- 17:17Speaker 6: But it was good stories though, you know, like that
- 17:19Speaker 6: was to me, I mean Tom, yeah, well I mean
- 17:22Speaker 6: more Tom.
- 17:23Speaker 5: I think the Moss the Moss moment was a really
- 17:25Speaker 5: cool one. Oh god, you know, that was one of
- 17:27Speaker 5: the best ones.
- 17:27Speaker 3: I mean he I think I don't think he expected that.
- 17:30Speaker 3: It took him by surprise a little bit, you know now.
- 17:33Speaker 6: I mean Evan I think summed it up well. Of yeah, well,
- 17:36Speaker 6: like you said, and I never put it all together.
- 17:37Speaker 6: It was more you're focusing on, Well, Bill's kind of
- 17:40Speaker 6: left on, you know, weird terms, and Tom kind of
- 17:42Speaker 6: left on weird terms, and it was more about them.
- 17:43Speaker 5: But then when you guys made the point of like
- 17:45Speaker 5: Gronk left like that, Welker left like that.
- 17:48Speaker 6: Yeah, you know, everybody kind of you know, it's just
- 17:50Speaker 6: it never ends beautifully perfectly where it's like we'll go
- 17:53Speaker 6: our separate. I mean, everybody wanted that they win one
- 17:55Speaker 6: last Super Bowl together and they all go off into
- 17:58Speaker 6: the sunset, and it's just not realistic.
- 18:00Speaker 3: Yeah, So no more number twelve. That's going to be retired,
- 18:04Speaker 3: and they're going to have this statue, which he said
- 18:06Speaker 3: would be revealed during the season, not when though, and
- 18:10Speaker 3: looking at the schedule, when could that happen. There's a
- 18:13Speaker 3: late November game against the Rams that Fox is broadcasting.
- 18:17Speaker 3: It's the only home game that Fox has, so that might.
- 18:20Speaker 8: Be maybe on the call to Yeah.
- 18:23Speaker 3: Maybe Fox would give us that the A team for
- 18:26Speaker 3: that one, just so that we could get Brady here.
- 18:29Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, that makes sense.
- 18:31Speaker 9: Yeah, I want what's going on.
- 18:32Speaker 8: I'm definitely going to take a picture with it or seventy.
- 18:35Speaker 5: Yeah, you're like chiseling away somewhere.
- 18:38Speaker 3: And I know Roberts said twelve. From what I understand,
- 18:41Speaker 3: it's taller than twelve feet because you include the base
- 18:46Speaker 3: and I don't want to give it away, but I
- 18:47Speaker 3: think it's more like seventeen feet tall.
- 18:51Speaker 6: You know, we were talking upstairs though it's kind of
- 18:54Speaker 6: you can't do that for Bill, And I'm like, but
- 18:56Speaker 6: you can't do what do you do for Bill?
- 18:58Speaker 7: That's in between?
- 19:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I think so.
- 19:00Speaker 7: And I have an idea that Bill might not want. No,
- 19:06Speaker 7: So my guess is it's going to be something like
- 19:09Speaker 7: inside reception kind of intimate kind and not a lot
- 19:14Speaker 7: of people were going to be there. Yeah, Like, I
- 19:16Speaker 7: just have a feeling that Bill would not want like
- 19:19Speaker 7: media outside stuff.
- 19:21Speaker 5: You know, I know, I think you're totally right, Paul,
- 19:23Speaker 5: because they can't.
- 19:24Speaker 7: You can't do it in the plaza and you can't
- 19:26Speaker 7: go back to the plaza again for the plaza, right,
- 19:29Speaker 7: And I don't think you necessarily do another stadium thing
- 19:33Speaker 7: for anybody.
- 19:34Speaker 5: No, And it's Evan made the point upstairs.
- 19:36Speaker 6: It's hard for a coach like you know that people
- 19:37Speaker 6: don't get excited like that for a coach. So but
- 19:41Speaker 6: I know it was it did seem like there was
- 19:43Speaker 6: some tension about like his Belichick even here, you know,
- 19:45Speaker 6: before he came out. So I think, you know, that
- 19:47Speaker 6: Dean Branch moment was great because it kind of I
- 19:49Speaker 6: think that was the point where people were like, where's
- 19:51Speaker 6: Bill and he let him led them right into it.
- 19:53Speaker 8: I I that was one of the first times I
- 19:56Speaker 8: get he was emotionally a little bit shook at the
- 19:59Speaker 8: press conference when it ended. But I felt like he
- 20:03Speaker 8: was shook from the reaction of the crowd Bill then
- 20:07Speaker 8: his speech. I don't think he really knew great. I
- 20:11Speaker 8: don't really think he knew what he was doing at
- 20:12Speaker 8: that point. You know. I feel like the reaction from
- 20:15Speaker 8: the crowd really took him by surprise a little bit,
- 20:18Speaker 8: and he it shook him a little.
- 20:19Speaker 7: I also though, just in regards to the speech, and
- 20:23Speaker 7: I don't know this for sure, but he started off
- 20:26Speaker 7: by saying how he would echo so many of the
- 20:29Speaker 7: things that so many again, so many people said over
- 20:34Speaker 7: and over again. You wonder why it was three and
- 20:35Speaker 7: fifteen minutes that I think he sort.
- 20:38Speaker 3: Of he had to throw it out.
- 20:41Speaker 7: I'm not going to just repeat everything that's already been
- 20:43Speaker 7: said by fifteen of his former teammates. So he probably
- 20:48Speaker 7: had the pebble Beach story because but he went he's
- 20:51Speaker 7: told that story before. Yeah, I actually so he probably
- 20:55Speaker 7: had that planned, you know, sort of to display his
- 20:59Speaker 7: maniacal competitiveness and didn't really know what else to do.
- 21:03Speaker 6: And then he went to a deep dive of random
- 21:04Speaker 6: tom Bras plays right like that was awesome.
- 21:07Speaker 7: Yeah, likedown real quick though.
- 21:11Speaker 6: Paul like to get into it a little bit, the
- 21:14Speaker 6: thing about never making mistakes, and it just it kind
- 21:17Speaker 6: of spoke to me about what we've talked about of
- 21:19Speaker 6: what his kind of view of the offense was of
- 21:21Speaker 6: like just don't screw it up, like, just don't.
- 21:23Speaker 7: Make How many times how many different ways did he say,
- 21:25Speaker 7: don't lose the game?
- 21:27Speaker 3: So many games in the NFL are lost. You want
- 21:29Speaker 3: you have to keep from losing before you can win it. Yeah,
- 21:32Speaker 3: so I'm going back to what you could possibly do
- 21:35Speaker 3: for Belichick, And so I'm just thinking about this workshopping.
- 21:38Speaker 3: So you don't want to do the exact same thing obviously,
- 21:40Speaker 3: and you can't do the plaza. So what about if
- 21:43Speaker 3: you do this out on the practice field, because Bill's
- 21:45Speaker 3: all about preparation. You erect bleachers, you know, so you
- 21:49Speaker 3: can have a hell of a lot more people there.
- 21:51Speaker 3: But you break up the night into segments just like practices.
- 21:55Speaker 3: So practices and segments, and you kind of walk around
- 21:58Speaker 3: the field and you do things from the practice field,
- 22:01Speaker 3: you know, with players, and it's kind of it's got
- 22:04Speaker 3: that more vibe of you know, this is Bill's element,
- 22:08Speaker 3: this is where Bill was best. That's creating coaching, you know,
- 22:13Speaker 3: players learning from him and you and you do it
- 22:16Speaker 3: in that setting.
- 22:17Speaker 6: I like if fred I think another like good touch
- 22:19Speaker 6: of that would be at random moments during that you
- 22:22Speaker 6: have Aaron walk out and be like, cameras off.
- 22:24Speaker 5: Everybody, no taping this segment.
- 22:26Speaker 8: That's our time, that's our time.
- 22:28Speaker 3: That's a that's an inside joke.
- 22:30Speaker 7: You should have seen him in the NATRI shutting down
- 22:32Speaker 7: people's phones.
- 22:33Speaker 3: Oh yeah, meanwhile, people have the whole event.
- 22:39Speaker 7: But that's the Like, so I understand that you couldn't
- 22:43Speaker 7: post anything media wise, right, And I get that, and
- 22:47Speaker 7: you can monitor that, Like, but you can't prevent sixty
- 22:50Speaker 7: thousand people from pulling out their phones and videoing to
- 22:53Speaker 7: their heartskin tent. But if you were in the media,
- 22:55Speaker 7: you couldn't do that.
- 22:56Speaker 8: Yeah, and so prevent my fiance now that she's video.
- 23:00Speaker 7: Had no restriction.
- 23:01Speaker 8: Oh yeah, no, I know. I'm just saying. She was
- 23:03Speaker 8: playing the video of jay Z and she was.
- 23:06Speaker 7: Like, yeah, I have the video background. Like I'm not
- 23:09Speaker 7: big on taking night Like I'm kind of a little
- 23:12Speaker 7: like Fred. Fred's like very anti the you know, the
- 23:14Speaker 7: pictures on the phone and the selfies and all that stuff.
- 23:17Speaker 7: Like I was here. You know, I don't necessarily need
- 23:20Speaker 7: to post it on seven.
- 23:21Speaker 5: If you didn't tweet about it, didn't really happen.
- 23:23Speaker 7: Right, Like I didn't tweet about it. I didn't, you know,
- 23:26Speaker 7: I watched. I took it all in. I sort of absorbed,
- 23:28Speaker 7: like I like I said, I was really blown away
- 23:31Speaker 7: by the reaction to Bill and and then when Tom
- 23:37Speaker 7: So when when Robert was wrapping his intro to Tom up,
- 23:41Speaker 7: you could hear like the small Braidy and it started
- 23:45Speaker 7: in one corner and then just started to permeate the
- 23:48Speaker 7: whole you know, the whole bowl. And that was pretty
- 23:51Speaker 7: cool too.
- 23:52Speaker 5: Yeah, the Randy two the same thing.
- 23:53Speaker 6: Like you know, here it starts to grow and I
- 23:56Speaker 6: mean you just see the emotion. I mean, how many
- 23:58Speaker 6: times did guys well up last night and then.
- 24:00Speaker 3: And then fed off because when the fans saw they
- 24:03Speaker 3: were getting that reaction.
- 24:04Speaker 6: And even more I mean Brady Brady like teared up
- 24:08Speaker 6: like three times in the first like two minutes.
- 24:10Speaker 3: It was a night of grown men cry. Yeah, it was.
- 24:13Speaker 8: I mean, I don't don't shame me, all right, I could.
- 24:16Speaker 7: Like Brady though, like you got thousands to honor you.
- 24:21Speaker 7: He's an emotional guy to begin with. I would have
- 24:24Speaker 7: been crying.
- 24:24Speaker 3: But he was crying from the get guy.
- 24:26Speaker 7: I would have been crying from the get go. Absolutely.
- 24:28Speaker 7: Did you see like the shots when he was talking
- 24:30Speaker 7: of his parents, Oh gosh, and like you know together
- 24:34Speaker 7: she's holding Tom gay One's holding Tom's hand, crying her
- 24:38Speaker 7: eyes out and just can you imagine the immense pride,
- 24:42Speaker 7: Like I talked about this this morning with Claire on
- 24:44Speaker 7: the on the podcast, Like the immense pride that you
- 24:47Speaker 7: would feel. Yeah, like my son is being honored by
- 24:51Speaker 7: like sixty five thousand people right now like.
- 24:53Speaker 3: An emperor, you know.
- 24:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 24:56Speaker 3: To answer a lot of questions that are coming in
- 24:58Speaker 3: when or we're going to post the entire show, we
- 25:03Speaker 3: will to as much as we can and people, you know,
- 25:07Speaker 3: I know it's boring, but there's a lot of licensing
- 25:09Speaker 3: issues that we have, Like, for example, we can't show
- 25:12Speaker 3: jay Z. We can't like, if.
- 25:14Speaker 7: You're a fact that you're here today tells me that
- 25:16Speaker 7: we did.
- 25:16Speaker 3: A good job. If you're a fan and you shot
- 25:19Speaker 3: jay Z, then you have it. You can do whatever
- 25:21Speaker 3: you want with it, but we can't. We don't have
- 25:25Speaker 3: the right to show jay Z for an example, So
- 25:29Speaker 3: we have to make sure that what we post we
- 25:31Speaker 3: don't get in trouble for. And once we get through that,
- 25:34Speaker 3: I've got a meeting today. We're just gonna go through
- 25:36Speaker 3: every part of the show. Yes, that can go, that can,
- 25:39Speaker 3: and then we'll post it in its entirety to the
- 25:41Speaker 3: point that we can. You know, like you know, Bono
- 25:44Speaker 3: at the end, we couldn't show Bono didn't want his
- 25:47Speaker 3: shout out out, and it's like, I don't know why
- 25:48Speaker 3: But okay, you didn't miss much folks.
- 25:51Speaker 7: By the way, if we reached that portion of the show.
- 25:56Speaker 3: Where no but I have a doc, we'll get out
- 26:02Speaker 3: the full show as soon as we can.
- 26:04Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 26:04Speaker 5: Yeah, So it was a good night.
- 26:07Speaker 6: I yeah, I just I you know, I was emotional because,
- 26:11Speaker 6: like I said, I was back in my blogger days
- 26:13Speaker 6: and it just reminded me of what this team really
- 26:15Speaker 6: meant to me. And you know, not I I love
- 26:18Speaker 6: my job and I love working here, but it's totally
- 26:20Speaker 6: different now and that's fine, but it just took me
- 26:24Speaker 6: back to what this team brought out of me, like
- 26:26Speaker 6: you know, I mean not to get like super personal,
- 26:29Speaker 6: but you know, as somebody who was kind of looking
- 26:32Speaker 6: for how they fit in professionally and what their job
- 26:34Speaker 6: was going to be. And you know, here comes this
- 26:36Speaker 6: team that was just you know, inspirational, I guess is
- 26:39Speaker 6: the word. And you know inspired me and I mean
- 26:41Speaker 6: probably you know to gree Evan too, to just create
- 26:45Speaker 6: something on my own and I got to write about
- 26:46Speaker 6: this team and there's something special happening here and I
- 26:49Speaker 6: don't know where it's going to go, but I'm gonna
- 26:51Speaker 6: start a website and I'm gonna you know, like and
- 26:53Speaker 6: all that energy kind of came back to me now
- 26:55Speaker 6: and you know, not to you know, get too emotional,
- 26:58Speaker 6: but you know, not that I went through times, but
- 27:01Speaker 6: like this team meant a lot to me. It meant
- 27:03Speaker 6: a lot to me in my life, and you know,
- 27:05Speaker 6: to kind of get a chance to get away from
- 27:07Speaker 6: getting so wrapped up.
- 27:09Speaker 5: In the drama.
- 27:11Speaker 6: And that's fun and we talk about it all the
- 27:12Speaker 6: time and I love it, but it's a reminder of,
- 27:15Speaker 6: you know, just what was special to me about this
- 27:17Speaker 6: team and that you know, and again it's just it's
- 27:19Speaker 6: never gonna happen again like this, and you know, you're
- 27:21Speaker 6: never gonna witness that kind of greatness.
- 27:22Speaker 3: Everyone that watched had their own personal relationship to the
- 27:27Speaker 3: Night and to Brady, and you know, so everyone took
- 27:31Speaker 3: that with them while they were watching. So it meant
- 27:34Speaker 3: something special for everybody because everybody had what you had,
- 27:39Speaker 3: but in their own way, in their own personal way.
- 27:42Speaker 6: I mean, my sister, my sister said she was getting
- 27:44Speaker 6: all teary eye. My mom was getting teared, and not
- 27:46Speaker 6: not just because not on me in the premium, like
- 27:47Speaker 6: the actual thing, by the way.
- 27:49Speaker 3: You get you and FITZI you. You really did a
- 27:51Speaker 3: great job on that red carpet holding it down. And
- 27:53Speaker 3: I'm not just you know, blowing smoke. That wasn't easy
- 27:57Speaker 3: because you got somebody in your ear tell you're okay,
- 28:00Speaker 3: go here, go there, and and then you had to
- 28:03Speaker 3: tap dance a few times. And you guys did a
- 28:05Speaker 3: really good job. And not not to single him out,
- 28:08Speaker 3: but FITZI I think you know, because he's a little
- 28:10Speaker 3: bit more schooled than that. Yeah, he did an excellent job.
- 28:14Speaker 3: He really did.
- 28:14Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, you know, just one personal moment and
- 28:17Speaker 6: Paul talked about mister and missus Brady standing there.
- 28:19Speaker 5: I mean for me, you know, my little part of it.
- 28:22Speaker 5: But my dad was there.
- 28:23Speaker 6: And to see the look of pride on my dad's face,
- 28:26Speaker 6: wow afterwards, like I I I don't remember ever seeing that.
- 28:31Speaker 5: Look on his face before. And he just was this
- 28:33Speaker 5: was so awesome.
- 28:34Speaker 7: That is great. It was, it is great. Let me
- 28:39Speaker 7: know what I can see.
- 28:42Speaker 5: You're gonna drive your mom to work this morning.
- 28:43Speaker 7: She's a whole conversation. She goes, oh, how did that
- 28:46Speaker 7: go last night? By the way, but you didn't see
- 28:47Speaker 7: any but no, I watched the Celtic.
- 28:50Speaker 5: My dad was so cute.
- 28:51Speaker 6: He wore a tie, like he was dressed up, and
- 28:53Speaker 6: you know, my my sons were there and my wife,
- 28:55Speaker 6: and it was that's awesome. It was it was it
- 28:57Speaker 6: was like I said, I'm still processing all this right now,
- 29:00Speaker 6: like it's it's just it's it's hard to kind of
- 29:02Speaker 6: put it all on towards.
- 29:03Speaker 3: That's really good. Yeah, you should be.
- 29:05Speaker 7: You should mean a seriousness. I bust your balls off
- 29:08Speaker 7: and you should be proud of that. No, it was,
- 29:11Speaker 7: you know, I don't know.
- 29:11Speaker 5: I just stood up there like, oh, this is great.
- 29:13Speaker 3: Hi, guys, what are we doing?
- 29:14Speaker 7: You know, he's got I was making fun of you
- 29:18Speaker 7: because you know, we had, you know, like to get
- 29:21Speaker 7: I talked about the peak behind the Patriots curtain, a
- 29:24Speaker 7: little peak behind the p U curtain.
- 29:26Speaker 1: You know.
- 29:26Speaker 7: Recently the three of us, Mike, Evan and myself and
- 29:31Speaker 7: some others met with a sort of a media coach
- 29:36Speaker 7: sort of give us some tips, watched a lot of
- 29:38Speaker 7: the shows and gave us some ideas.
- 29:40Speaker 3: This you do really well this Jerry Maddalon. Yeah, yeah, okay,
- 29:45Speaker 3: shut out Jerry, No, I mean, listen, he'd appreciate the well.
- 29:48Speaker 7: I just didn't know if we were allowed to sure. So,
- 29:51Speaker 7: so Jerry had a lot of, you know, because really
- 29:53Speaker 7: constructive criticism of the show, of our platforms and individually
- 29:58Speaker 7: what we do. And one of the things that he
- 29:59Speaker 7: said it was about stand ups when you're on camera
- 30:03Speaker 7: and hand placement high you know, no pockets. Every every
- 30:07Speaker 7: time I looked at you, I was.
- 30:11Speaker 3: Erryn and no figgly.
- 30:14Speaker 6: I figured, no, at least I wasn't like power. That's
- 30:19Speaker 6: a good that's a good call out, Paul. I mean,
- 30:21Speaker 6: you know, Zoe came up like the first the stage.
- 30:25Speaker 6: Oh yeah, he was forty a text to my you know,
- 30:27Speaker 6: I'm like, you know, it's I'm just I'm watching and
- 30:29Speaker 6: then the barstool guys called takes over and I'm kind
- 30:32Speaker 6: But when.
- 30:34Speaker 7: That's Zoe's element, oh yeah, like that was the best.
- 30:37Speaker 3: Well I think secretly he wants to work for barstool
- 30:40Speaker 3: like that.
- 30:41Speaker 7: I certainly seen it.
- 30:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:44Speaker 8: I might be in the minority here, but the barstool
- 30:46Speaker 8: guys I didn't need. I didn't need Brady shouting out
- 30:50Speaker 8: the barstool.
- 30:50Speaker 7: That would have been one of my nitpicks.
- 30:52Speaker 3: I mean, let's face it. They did get arrested for him,
- 30:55Speaker 3: you know, So who was that for?
- 30:57Speaker 5: Really, I whatever, but the shirt sales.
- 30:59Speaker 3: They spent time in jail, you know, and directly tied
- 31:03Speaker 3: to Brady, So I thought it was a cool moment.
- 31:05Speaker 5: It was hilarious, and when Brady called him out, Portnoy
- 31:07Speaker 5: wasn't even there.
- 31:08Speaker 7: Give I do give Dave Portnoy in individually. I have
- 31:13Speaker 7: an immense amount of respect for what he's built, his
- 31:17Speaker 7: business acumen and ability and what he's built. I don't
- 31:20Speaker 7: agree with how he's done it, but you can't argue
- 31:23Speaker 7: with what he's done and what was He sold a
- 31:27Speaker 7: company for X amount and then got a bad okay
- 31:31Speaker 7: getting it back for like one quarter of X.
- 31:33Speaker 10: Like.
- 31:34Speaker 7: The guy's brilliant, and I think he just, you know,
- 31:37Speaker 7: his hustle is to be unbelievably respected.
- 31:39Speaker 5: Yeah, it was for me.
- 31:40Speaker 6: I mean I hear, I hear the point it was.
- 31:42Speaker 6: It was a nice little, just fun little detail. I
- 31:44Speaker 6: thought that, especially that they were wearing the same clothes.
- 31:46Speaker 5: I thought that was, you know, a good thing.
- 31:48Speaker 8: That was a nice touch.
- 31:48Speaker 5: I didn't need to you know, I didn't need to
- 31:50Speaker 5: hear them.
- 31:51Speaker 8: Yeah, that was a nice touch. I think it It
- 31:55Speaker 8: doesn't matter, but it's more just what Paul is saying
- 31:57Speaker 8: about how they've built it to this point. I don't
- 32:00Speaker 8: agree with.
- 32:01Speaker 7: It's not me, it's and but I understand I'm made
- 32:04Speaker 7: the minority. Just like the thing last night was I
- 32:07Speaker 7: think might no, I think Evan, you said it. The
- 32:10Speaker 7: people that were there last night, that's that's. This is
- 32:13Speaker 7: for you, guys, you know like this that you you
- 32:16Speaker 7: think of Brady in this way, and this was all
- 32:19Speaker 7: for you. There's a lot of Patriots fans that didn't
- 32:21Speaker 7: necessarily have a lot of interest in that, you know,
- 32:24Speaker 7: casual Patriots fans. This was for the like the died
- 32:27Speaker 7: in the died in the Wall. I got on board
- 32:29Speaker 7: week three of two thousand and one.
- 32:31Speaker 9: This is my.
- 32:33Speaker 6: This is my great great call out, Paul, And that's
- 32:36Speaker 6: you know, And I think earlier this year we had
- 32:38Speaker 6: the Dynasty, which I think a big complaint for the
- 32:40Speaker 6: Dynasty was that, you know, it was it wasn't really
- 32:42Speaker 6: about negative well it you know that it wasn't necessarily about.
- 32:45Speaker 5: What the fans wanted to be about, which was the championships.
- 32:48Speaker 6: And then you had the Roast, which was, you know,
- 32:50Speaker 6: let's let everybody take a flamethrower to all the little,
- 32:53Speaker 6: you know, subtle things that happened over the course of
- 32:55Speaker 6: the year. It was just great to be amongst the
- 32:58Speaker 6: real fans. You know, those fans they like, they just
- 33:01Speaker 6: they don't need to get caught up in the bs.
- 33:02Speaker 6: They just want to root their team and have fun
- 33:05Speaker 6: on Sundays, you know, get drunk with their buddies beforehand,
- 33:08Speaker 6: watch them hopefully win a game. So I think it
- 33:11Speaker 6: was that for me, it was just that was a
- 33:13Speaker 6: great tribute. They needed that to have, for the real
- 33:16Speaker 6: fans to be able to say goodbye to Randy and
- 33:18Speaker 6: Wess and you know, I mean every single one of
- 33:20Speaker 6: those guys has drawn some criticism, right like how Randy left,
- 33:23Speaker 6: you know, West dropping a pass on the Super Bowl,
- 33:25Speaker 6: all that stuff, and I just I felt like a
- 33:28Speaker 6: lot of that stuff kind of went away, at least
- 33:30Speaker 6: for last night.
- 33:31Speaker 5: It was it was just a moment to say, you
- 33:33Speaker 5: did a lot for us, and we really appreciate.
- 33:34Speaker 3: One thing. I was thinking about, what do you think
- 33:36Speaker 3: Drake May's thinking when he's watching.
- 33:38Speaker 5: Oh, I hope he's taking notes.
- 33:39Speaker 3: No, I mean really like, Wow, this is the organization
- 33:43Speaker 3: I play for now.
- 33:44Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I would.
- 33:45Speaker 7: If I were him, I would hope that he's listening
- 33:47Speaker 7: to Tom and Tom's teammates talk about how hard he worked,
- 33:51Speaker 7: and that's exactly it. And I think Tom even said
- 33:54Speaker 7: at one point every quarter he said my thing that
- 33:57Speaker 7: I say a million times, like, don't be wold by
- 34:00Speaker 7: the throws, because every quarterback can throw the ball sixty yards, right,
- 34:04Speaker 7: you know. But it's what I think between the time,
- 34:07Speaker 7: when it's between the ears, that separates, and that's what
- 34:10Speaker 7: it's going to be the challenge. I think this was
- 34:12Speaker 7: every young.
- 34:12Speaker 3: Required watching for Drake May.
- 34:14Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 34:15Speaker 6: I do think though there was an element of these
- 34:18Speaker 6: aren't the Patriots anymore? And I mean I don't mean
- 34:20Speaker 6: that in like a negative connotation that all we were
- 34:22Speaker 6: terrible now, but you realize how hard it is to
- 34:25Speaker 6: create that and how many different great, awesome personalities you
- 34:30Speaker 6: needed to make something special like that happen.
- 34:32Speaker 5: And I think sometimes we boil it down to, well,
- 34:34Speaker 5: if you just get the quarterback, you'd be good. Like,
- 34:35Speaker 5: just get the quarterback, I mean, to.
- 34:37Speaker 6: Be truly great, you need you need a Willie McGinnis.
- 34:40Speaker 6: You need you know, you need an Adam Vinatieri who
- 34:42Speaker 6: in the clutch is gonna be money. And there's so
- 34:44Speaker 6: many little elements that.
- 34:45Speaker 3: Go into sixty dollars. I know that this is only
- 34:48Speaker 3: a year two and it's impossible for him to build
- 34:51Speaker 3: up what Brady had. But Aaron Rodgers not showing up
- 34:54Speaker 3: for mandatory mini can't like, you know, you're after missing
- 34:58Speaker 3: the whole season, after some finding this huge deal and
- 35:01Speaker 3: the Jets going out on a ledge for you, you're
- 35:04Speaker 3: just not going to show up.
- 35:05Speaker 7: I mean, like something something happened.
- 35:07Speaker 3: But it's the polar.
- 35:08Speaker 5: Opposite, you know, you think like they have a little uh.
- 35:10Speaker 7: No, he said, he told them that he had this
- 35:13Speaker 7: thing and he wasn't gonna come. But I don't know,
- 35:15Speaker 7: Like to me, there's very few things that that could
- 35:18Speaker 7: be that that would be acceptable, especially that they they
- 35:21Speaker 7: deemed it unexcused.
- 35:23Speaker 8: Well apparently they planned it. He planned it well in advance,
- 35:27Speaker 8: told them that this is when this event is going on,
- 35:30Speaker 8: and they still scheduled mini camp for this week.
- 35:32Speaker 7: So which is all part and parcel to the Jets.
- 35:36Speaker 5: Way, isn't it remarkable?
- 35:37Speaker 6: Like I just like I'm like, my god, like that
- 35:40Speaker 6: you think that this was the year? Like all right,
- 35:41Speaker 6: Rogers back healthy, at least, it's gonna be a good
- 35:43Speaker 6: off season.
- 35:44Speaker 7: But a lot of people talk like the way Evan does,
- 35:46Speaker 7: Like I'm not going to worry about them until they
- 35:48Speaker 7: proved me wrong.
- 35:49Speaker 8: Yeah, it's always something. I mean, the bills will always
- 35:52Speaker 8: find a way. The toront That was funny, by the way.
- 35:56Speaker 7: The Bill Burr line with Josh Allen, that was fun
- 35:59Speaker 7: I like the one thing that Andy reads too, that
- 36:01Speaker 7: was funny. Andy Reid's to stop Andy reads.
- 36:04Speaker 5: Too fat got me too with that one.
- 36:05Speaker 7: There's no way that chiefs Andy reads too fast. Yeah,
- 36:07Speaker 7: got me to that.
- 36:08Speaker 8: That portion.
- 36:11Speaker 7: That he he had a couple of good, good lines.
- 36:13Speaker 3: Yeah, that was a good segment.
- 36:14Speaker 8: Yeah, the picture segment that was funny. His first his
- 36:17Speaker 8: first set.
- 36:18Speaker 5: Was but I got I got read alert.
- 36:21Speaker 6: We need you, Jason Cordy stuck in traffic, Can you
- 36:23Speaker 6: come right now to the red carpet to interview Bill Burr?
- 36:25Speaker 5: So I just ran over.
- 36:28Speaker 6: Oh wow, So what was he talking about? I'm interviewing him, like,
- 36:31Speaker 6: you know, some softball questions.
- 36:33Speaker 7: He's going on and on history, going on history, the electriction,
- 36:37Speaker 7: the electricution come up, but no he got some of it.
- 36:39Speaker 5: But then you're talking about like the colts cheating and
- 36:41Speaker 5: like what what?
- 36:42Speaker 3: But like at some point, like I wanted you to say, no, Bill,
- 36:45Speaker 3: just be funny. You don't have to like show how
- 36:47Speaker 3: much of it. Just just be funny.
- 36:48Speaker 5: Well that's what I was trying to tee him up
- 36:49Speaker 5: for it. I don't know, it was.
- 36:51Speaker 6: It was kind of bizarre because I was I'm thinking,
- 36:53Speaker 6: I'm going to tee him up for comedy, and he
- 36:55Speaker 6: just wanted to go on like.
- 36:55Speaker 7: A historical humor thing like you know, Deuce brought up
- 36:58Speaker 7: like all the different things that you had to you
- 37:00Speaker 7: had that you had the roast. Like, maybe that's what
- 37:02Speaker 7: you do with Bill, You roast them, roast them with
- 37:06Speaker 7: the play. I mean, you know, with a couple of players.
- 37:08Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I think you have that element within it,
- 37:11Speaker 3: but I don't think you do an all out, not.
- 37:13Speaker 7: A full one, not have a bulgar roast like that.
- 37:17Speaker 3: You definitely have a segment where players get to say
- 37:19Speaker 3: what they always wanted to say, right, That's what I'm
- 37:21Speaker 3: talking about.
- 37:22Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, I always. I always think it's great, you know,
- 37:25Speaker 8: to go back to the people that were there last night.
- 37:28Speaker 8: We are so entrenched in all of what goes on
- 37:31Speaker 8: with the team, the current team and the negativity. Obviously
- 37:35Speaker 8: their record is what it was last year and all
- 37:37Speaker 8: this kind of stuff. It's always refreshing. It's kind of
- 37:39Speaker 8: like when we went to Germany and met a lot
- 37:42Speaker 8: of those fans over there in Europe. It's always so
- 37:44Speaker 8: refreshing to me to just be with people that are
- 37:46Speaker 8: happy to be Patriots fans and aren't you know, worried
- 37:50Speaker 8: about the fact that they picked third overall in the
- 37:52Speaker 8: draft last year and you know that sort of thing.
- 37:55Speaker 8: And I heard a lot about that, uh, you know,
- 37:57Speaker 8: coming into this, like, oh, probably would be better if
- 38:00Speaker 8: they were you know, weren't destined to be one in
- 38:02Speaker 8: fifteen this year or whatever. And it's like, I feel
- 38:05Speaker 8: like that those people just don't care last night at
- 38:08Speaker 8: least about that, And it almost takes you out of
- 38:12Speaker 8: being in the trenches like we are with this team,
- 38:14Speaker 8: and it allows you to relate back to the fandom
- 38:18Speaker 8: side of it and recognize that I was out there
- 38:21Speaker 8: in the plaza waiting to meet up with justin the
- 38:25Speaker 8: amount of the smiles on every single person's face that
- 38:29Speaker 8: walked out of there. None of them care right now
- 38:32Speaker 8: that this team in the twenty twenty four is rebuilding
- 38:35Speaker 8: and probably isn't going to be hanging another banner or
- 38:38Speaker 8: anything like that. It didn't matter in that moment for anybody.
- 38:42Speaker 8: That's always great. Yeah, and those are the people that,
- 38:44Speaker 8: you know, like they were the ones that were going
- 38:46Speaker 8: to appreciate it.
- 38:47Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 38:48Speaker 7: Yeah, you know, to Evan's point, like there were a
- 38:51Speaker 7: lot of people here really early. Oh yeah, yesterday, Yeah,
- 38:54Speaker 7: you know.
- 38:55Speaker 3: I mean the lots opened at three, people started coming.
- 38:58Speaker 3: The red carpet kind of kicked off around five, so
- 39:02Speaker 3: it was a long night, you know, but people were
- 39:06Speaker 3: digging every moment of it. So well.
- 39:08Speaker 5: I did think though it was just kind of cool
- 39:10Speaker 5: to go. We haven't even mentioned that they had a
- 39:12Speaker 5: mini camp practice.
- 39:12Speaker 7: Day, but I was just gonna say take away from
- 39:15Speaker 7: but it was.
- 39:16Speaker 6: You know, it was just kind of cool that you
- 39:18Speaker 6: ended mini camp with Drake May firing a touchdown to
- 39:20Speaker 6: Jalen Polk and then you know that's the cool like well,
- 39:23Speaker 6: you know, like that's there's maybe there's something there, like
- 39:26Speaker 6: you ended this mini camp in this off season with
- 39:29Speaker 6: just you know, a moment of positivity.
- 39:31Speaker 5: Sure, I'm your first round picked through a touchdown in
- 39:34Speaker 5: your second round. Thing, two young guys have been working together.
- 39:36Speaker 3: Give us a nugget. I just give us something, you know,
- 39:39Speaker 3: so I.
- 39:39Speaker 5: Don't know, maybe this is this is the start of
- 39:41Speaker 5: the actual new segment.
- 39:43Speaker 6: And you know, the last few years with Mac and
- 39:45Speaker 6: Cam Newton and we were kind of trying to reproduce
- 39:48Speaker 6: what they had before, and you know they had they've
- 39:51Speaker 6: wiped the slate clean now and I mean, we'll see.
- 39:53Speaker 6: But I mean I came out of yesterday feeling like, hey,
- 39:55Speaker 6: I'm excited to get the camp and you know, see
- 39:57Speaker 6: how these guys continue to develop it.
- 39:59Speaker 5: Certainly they've they've got ways to go, no question.
- 40:01Speaker 6: But you know, if your your your quarterback, you just
- 40:03Speaker 6: took third overall, threw a touchdown to the receiver you
- 40:06Speaker 6: took in the second round, I'll take it.
- 40:08Speaker 8: I love the optimism because honestly, I felt the opposite.
- 40:10Speaker 7: I was, like every other player of the practice.
- 40:15Speaker 8: Can I just capture this three hours, like in a
- 40:18Speaker 8: in an emotional bubble for me and not think about
- 40:21Speaker 8: the fact that we have a you know, a season
- 40:24Speaker 8: coming up in six weeks that we may or may
- 40:27Speaker 8: not win four or five games. You know, Like I
- 40:30Speaker 8: don't want to think about that all right now. I
- 40:32Speaker 8: want to think about last night.
- 40:34Speaker 5: So that all right? But I hear it, We're not
- 40:35Speaker 5: talking about many camp.
- 40:36Speaker 8: I hear, I hear what you're saying.
- 40:37Speaker 5: Well, I just p I mean, look, if we're gonna
- 40:39Speaker 5: be honest and we'll talk about you know, mini camp,
- 40:41Speaker 5: it was.
- 40:42Speaker 7: It was a continuation of what we've seen.
- 40:43Speaker 6: I mean, it's it's it's Jacoby Brissett is under duress,
- 40:46Speaker 6: and when he's not under duress, there's not much open.
- 40:49Speaker 6: And you know, I think, what if you want to
- 40:51Speaker 6: be a blind Homer Patriots fan, like I'm being right now,
- 40:54Speaker 6: you say I see some traits from Drake Mayn.
- 40:56Speaker 5: I'm seeing him make make some plays.
- 40:58Speaker 3: Okay, we'll go around the table. Whatever you thought before
- 41:02Speaker 3: the off season program and since the draft about Drake
- 41:06Speaker 3: may maybe starting week one? Has that changed?
- 41:10Speaker 1: Yes?
- 41:10Speaker 5: Yeah, I think there's more of a change.
- 41:11Speaker 3: What way, I think more of a chance that he's
- 41:13Speaker 3: more to start week one, more more of a chance. Yeah,
- 41:17Speaker 3: not me, not you saying he won't make the team.
- 41:20Speaker 7: No, I think he will start at some point as
- 41:22Speaker 7: a rookie.
- 41:23Speaker 5: It won't be in week one.
- 41:24Speaker 3: Would be in week one, okay, any sooner? Do you
- 41:26Speaker 3: think you've moved it up because of things?
- 41:28Speaker 7: Would that be a positive if I answer, if I
- 41:31Speaker 7: say yes. Is that considered positive.
- 41:33Speaker 6: If you're a Drake May fan, Yes, but it could
- 41:35Speaker 6: be more of a negative about Jacoby Brissett. And I mean,
- 41:38Speaker 6: I think that's where I come from it of like
- 41:39Speaker 6: I'm going positive if it looks like this with him,
- 41:42Speaker 6: Like why not just get started with Drake and let
- 41:45Speaker 6: him get in there and just start taking his lumps.
- 41:47Speaker 7: And to me, it's all about Drake May being ready,
- 41:50Speaker 7: And I think Evan and I have been locked up
- 41:51Speaker 7: on that since before they even drafted him.
- 41:53Speaker 3: I but but that's my point. Does he look more
- 41:56Speaker 3: ready than you thought he would be? Not necessarily okay?
- 42:00Speaker 8: And I want to speak for Paul, but I'm not
- 42:03Speaker 8: ready to victory Lap yet, not there yet because it's
- 42:05Speaker 8: just it's non padded practices in this. I'm not there yet.
- 42:09Speaker 8: But the one thing that I kept on trying to
- 42:11Speaker 8: harp to people is that he's not as far away
- 42:14Speaker 8: as some of these people think that he is. And
- 42:16Speaker 8: what I have seen out here with him in the
- 42:19Speaker 8: spring is yes, there are some details that he needs
- 42:22Speaker 8: to sharpen up mechanically, but it's not like we watched
- 42:25Speaker 8: a quarterback that can't hit the broad side of a barn. Right, Like,
- 42:28Speaker 8: we were watching a guy that has at least seventy
- 42:32Speaker 8: five percent of what he's going to need to be
- 42:34Speaker 8: able to start in the league, and we're talking about
- 42:37Speaker 8: working on the margins here of fine tuning things so
- 42:40Speaker 8: that he doesn't sail one occasionally over Mitchell will Cox's head,
- 42:44Speaker 8: and it's a little bit more consistent.
- 42:46Speaker 7: It's an odd odd to use just an example.
- 42:49Speaker 8: Well it happened, so that those are the little things.
- 42:54Speaker 8: But when I hear and this again is not to
- 42:57Speaker 8: pick on people, but when I hear, oh, he's ahead
- 43:00Speaker 8: of where I schedule, maybe you just downplayed how good
- 43:03Speaker 8: he was coming into the draft.
- 43:05Speaker 3: You know.
- 43:06Speaker 7: I think that that he can be way ahead of
- 43:07Speaker 7: where you thought he would be. But you can't say
- 43:10Speaker 7: he's way ahead of schedule, Like that's just that that's
- 43:13Speaker 7: an individual thought.
- 43:14Speaker 3: I don't know what the schedule is exactly, you know.
- 43:17Speaker 7: And I think Evan's right. I agree with a lot
- 43:19Speaker 7: of what he said. I didn't think, like to go
- 43:22Speaker 7: back to your original premise, Fred, like, do you think
- 43:26Speaker 7: any differently?
- 43:26Speaker 5: I don't.
- 43:27Speaker 7: And it's it's funny because I did Andy's podcast with
- 43:30Speaker 7: him for EEI yesterday. He asked me the same exact
- 43:32Speaker 7: question that Fred just did. Did you hear any of
- 43:35Speaker 7: your thoughts change on Drake May from the start of
- 43:38Speaker 7: off season to now? And I said No, I knew
- 43:41Speaker 7: he had the physical ability. I watched it. That's why
- 43:43Speaker 7: I wanted to take him so much, because I think
- 43:46Speaker 7: he has the stuff that you can't teach.
- 43:48Speaker 5: Yep.
- 43:49Speaker 7: Now the question will be going back to Brady and
- 43:51Speaker 7: making a full circle.
- 43:52Speaker 3: Will he.
- 43:55Speaker 7: Absorb the stuff that can be taught? And to me,
- 43:58Speaker 7: you could teach a guy to watch film in a
- 44:00Speaker 7: certain way, to prepare each week in a certain way,
- 44:03Speaker 7: and to you know, be a on the margins as
- 44:06Speaker 7: Evan just said, you know, detail oriented And does he
- 44:11Speaker 7: repeat the same mistakes? You know, I know he's going
- 44:14Speaker 7: to physically be able to get himself out of trouble
- 44:16Speaker 7: sometimes and make plays. Does he do that while avoiding mistakes?
- 44:22Speaker 7: You know, those are the things that we're going to
- 44:24Speaker 7: have to learn, and we didn't. We haven't seen any
- 44:26Speaker 7: of that.
- 44:26Speaker 3: I think I think the next with Helpstone for him
- 44:29Speaker 3: in terms of our evaluation of him, will be that
- 44:33Speaker 3: single day joint practice with the Eagles. If he gets
- 44:36Speaker 3: a lot of the reps and maybe he gets even
- 44:38Speaker 3: an inserted that will tell.
- 44:40Speaker 7: Us if he's taking number one reps in that, then
- 44:42Speaker 7: I'll rethink my possibility of him starting Week one. But
- 44:47Speaker 7: I just would look at it and just say, like this,
- 44:50Speaker 7: And he said it yesterday when he talked, because he
- 44:52Speaker 7: talked again after practice. You know, we haven't I haven't
- 44:56Speaker 7: gotten hit yet, right, you know, people were talking about
- 44:58Speaker 7: this that we haven't played football. Even he said it.
- 45:02Speaker 8: You know, yeah, I just I have become more about
- 45:08Speaker 8: are they going to be ready for him versus is
- 45:11Speaker 8: he going to be ready for them when it comes
- 45:14Speaker 8: to start start of the year, Because I think there's
- 45:18Speaker 8: a really good argument that let's let the offensive line
- 45:22Speaker 8: settle down. Let's let a VP in his system take
- 45:25Speaker 8: hold a little bit. Let's not put him out there
- 45:29Speaker 8: on September eighth against Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals
- 45:32Speaker 8: in Cincinnati, when we still might not know who our
- 45:35Speaker 8: right tackle is, and we still might not know what
- 45:37Speaker 8: our best five on the offensive line is. We still
- 45:40Speaker 8: Jalen Polk and Javon Baker might still be a month
- 45:42Speaker 8: away from being real contributors as rookies, and let's ease
- 45:46Speaker 8: into it a little bit in a it's a marathon,
- 45:50Speaker 8: not a sprint. As a VP put it type of way,
- 45:53Speaker 8: I have no doubt that he could play Week one
- 45:55Speaker 8: against the Bengals. I just don't know if that's what's
- 45:57Speaker 8: the best thing for his long term, you know.
- 46:00Speaker 3: Going back to last night, Brady made the case for
- 46:03Speaker 3: a quarterback being able to watch and learn. He made
- 46:07Speaker 3: that case true.
- 46:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 46:08Speaker 8: Yeah. The other guy on the stage with him, though,
- 46:10Speaker 8: Peyton makes the case the other direction because he played
- 46:13Speaker 8: right away, so it can go both ways.
- 46:14Speaker 5: Quick, quick funny story though. My wife was like, why
- 46:17Speaker 5: do they keep booing? Drew Bledsoe.
- 46:21Speaker 3: All right, okay, so foods here, Paul need ze. But
- 46:26Speaker 3: before we go, Josh and Nashville has been holding ones. Actually,
- 46:30Speaker 3: Jacob Jacob and Nashville has been holding on.
- 46:33Speaker 9: What's up?
- 46:34Speaker 3: Jacob Jacob?
- 46:40Speaker 11: All right, I won't keep you long because you're going
- 46:43Speaker 11: to lunch. But I just wanted to call that the ceremony.
- 46:46Speaker 11: As a twenty nine year old fan who grew up
- 46:50Speaker 11: in Vermont, obviously the Patriots were everything to me growing
- 46:54Speaker 11: up and seeing like all the success and it really
- 46:57Speaker 11: felt like last night was kind of like a closing
- 47:00Speaker 11: of the book from that era, especially I think for
- 47:04Speaker 11: my age group, and I just wanted to share our
- 47:07Speaker 11: quick story. Paul, I'm gonna need your help.
- 47:14Speaker 7: I'm sorry I missed. Mike was taking a shot at
- 47:18Speaker 7: my fatness, so I apologized. Jacob, I what was what
- 47:22Speaker 7: was the part that you needed my help with?
- 47:24Speaker 11: He's getting Uh we were playing uh the forty nine
- 47:28Speaker 11: ers they had I think it was like twenty eleven.
- 47:33Speaker 11: We were getting killed, right, it was like yeah. So
- 47:40Speaker 11: my father had gone to sleep early at halftime and
- 47:43Speaker 11: we watched every single game together, and I remember they
- 47:46Speaker 11: made that tremendous comeback which they ended up falling short,
- 47:50Speaker 11: but I ended up waking him up in the middle
- 47:52Speaker 11: of the night when we were like seven down and
- 47:55Speaker 11: h it just that whole night. My point is the
- 47:57Speaker 11: whole night took me back to that and like spending
- 48:00Speaker 11: time with my dad.
- 48:03Speaker 7: I was, that's really cool. I do remember the game's
- 48:06Speaker 7: I think it was like thirty five seven, and I
- 48:08Speaker 7: think they did tie it, and then the San Francisco
- 48:12Speaker 7: went down and scored a touchdown. I think they're sorry, receiver.
- 48:16Speaker 8: No, I'm with you. I'm with you, Jacob though, because
- 48:21Speaker 8: we often talk about what we missed the most about
- 48:24Speaker 8: covering the team and working for the team versus being
- 48:26Speaker 8: a fan of the team. There's no doubt about it.
- 48:29Speaker 8: For me, it's I missed the most of watching games
- 48:31Speaker 8: with my dad, like that's that's number one on my list,
- 48:34Speaker 8: because every single Patriots game we watched the game in
- 48:38Speaker 8: the same spots on the couch, you know, the two
- 48:41Speaker 8: of us. Sometimes my sister would join too, And that
- 48:44Speaker 8: that was If I could go back like now and
- 48:47Speaker 8: be able to watch one more game with him, with
- 48:50Speaker 8: Brady and with the Patriots like that, that would be awesome.
- 48:54Speaker 8: And the fact that that's over now, it is a
- 48:56Speaker 8: little bit sad.
- 48:57Speaker 3: Thanks, Jacob, appreciate the call. All right, we are going
- 49:00Speaker 3: to take a break. I do have some things to

- 50:54Speaker 13: Only lost a uh basketball legend. I just saw it
- 51:01Speaker 13: on the news. So my condolences to the family and
- 51:06Speaker 13: all the people that he's impacted. So all right, here
- 51:08Speaker 13: we go.
- 51:09Speaker 6: Questions yet Tom Brady tonight just was thinking has he
- 51:14Speaker 6: addressed the team by any chance or any of the
- 51:16Speaker 6: former guys around?
- 51:17Speaker 9: I mean, he's busy. You know, they had something last night.
- 51:20Speaker 13: I know a lot of guys went up there and
- 51:21Speaker 13: caught up with Tom, but excited to see him, excited
- 51:24Speaker 13: for the event today.
- 51:25Speaker 1: What's the message for guys who are leaving town after
- 51:29Speaker 1: today going home, especially for the younger guys.
- 51:32Speaker 13: Yeah, the messages don't lose the games that you've made
- 51:35Speaker 13: and either you're getting better or you're getting worse. There
- 51:37Speaker 13: is no maintaining all right, So continue to work out
- 51:40Speaker 13: at home and make good decisions off the field.
- 51:42Speaker 9: And if you do that you'll be okay.
- 51:44Speaker 2: It looked like Drake may by two strides this the
- 51:46Speaker 2: last time we saw him. How happy are you with
- 51:49Speaker 2: what he's done for this spring?
- 51:50Speaker 13: Yeah, he's done. He's done a great job. He's going
- 51:53Speaker 13: the right direction now and saying that. We know they're
- 51:55Speaker 13: going to be some down dates. And that's one thing
- 51:57Speaker 13: that I've been trying to stress to him, is all right,
- 51:59Speaker 13: just keep chipping at the rock, get one percent better
- 52:01Speaker 13: every day.
- 52:02Speaker 9: It's not always going to be great. And he's done
- 52:04Speaker 9: a good job.
- 52:05Speaker 11: Hoping to accomplish in this last day before the break
- 52:09Speaker 11: with the.
- 52:09Speaker 13: With the team, I think first and foremost is to
- 52:11Speaker 13: get out of here healthy. If we can get everyone
- 52:13Speaker 13: out of here healthy, that would be that would be
- 52:15Speaker 13: a great thing. Today's practice will be a little bit shorter,
- 52:18Speaker 13: but also to go out here and compete, but in
- 52:20Speaker 13: a safe way. We understand it's a non contact camp.
- 52:23Speaker 13: We want we want these guys to compete. We want
- 52:25Speaker 13: these guys to continue to bond, and even the bond
- 52:27Speaker 13: here today. You know a lot of these guys will
- 52:29Speaker 13: be at the event tonight. Hopefully that continues to carry
- 52:32Speaker 13: over over the next few weeks.
- 52:35Speaker 7: I thinks that the last manastory mini camp. Are you
- 52:37Speaker 7: expecting anyone to kind of pop in today at all?
- 52:40Speaker 13: I'm not sure. You know a lot of there are
- 52:41Speaker 13: a lot of people in town. You could if you
- 52:43Speaker 13: just walk around the place, walk around Patriot Place. You
- 52:45Speaker 13: don't know who you're gonna run into.
- 52:47Speaker 9: So, uh, I don't know. We'll see.
- 52:49Speaker 13: We'll have a few guys here, I'm sure. At the
- 52:51Speaker 13: same time. Look, they're all they're gearing up for tonight, right,
- 52:54Speaker 13: gear up for to night.
- 52:55Speaker 7: So you've had Drake made now for like a month
- 52:57Speaker 7: a month half Like what has been like to coach
- 53:03Speaker 7: Drake for the last month or so?
- 53:04Speaker 13: It's been great, It's been great. Look, and this is
- 53:06Speaker 13: the guy we spent an extensive amount of time. You
- 53:09Speaker 13: know his background, his family, how he is on the field,
- 53:12Speaker 13: how he is on the field, So we knew the
- 53:15Speaker 13: person that we were getting. I would say the surprising
- 53:18Speaker 13: thing is just the way he's able to pull the
- 53:21Speaker 13: nose up right. And one of those what I mean
- 53:23Speaker 13: by saying that is he makes a bad throw, it's
- 53:25Speaker 13: out of his head, move on to.
- 53:26Speaker 9: The next play.
- 53:27Speaker 13: And I think Jacobe's done a great job as well
- 53:29Speaker 13: as a VP and the rest of the staff like
- 53:31Speaker 13: really helping him out with that. You're gonna make mistakes
- 53:33Speaker 13: and this is the time to make those mistakes.
- 53:35Speaker 8: Savon, we saw him the other day, didn't appear that
- 53:38Speaker 8: he did anything.
- 53:39Speaker 7: Can you kind of give us an idea what the
- 53:41Speaker 7: status is?
- 53:41Speaker 13: Yeah, yeah, DG. Look, we want him here. He's one
- 53:43Speaker 13: of our best players. He's working. I will say that
- 53:46Speaker 13: he is working. He's here every single day, has been
- 53:48Speaker 13: here every single day, and look forward to getting him
- 53:50Speaker 13: on the field in camp.
- 53:51Speaker 8: Did say Matthew Jahn last year's situation.
- 53:54Speaker 9: I wouldn't.
- 53:55Speaker 13: I wouldn't put it in those words. If there are
- 53:58Speaker 13: guys that obviously they want to, you know, redo contracts
- 54:01Speaker 13: and stuff like that, and not just DG. It's a
- 54:03Speaker 13: bunch of guys that want to do those things, and
- 54:05Speaker 13: you know we're working through it. You know, Elliott and
- 54:06Speaker 13: his staff they do a great job as far as
- 54:08Speaker 13: handling that. I don't get into the player contracts. What
- 54:11Speaker 13: I will say is one thing I've learned is sometimes
- 54:13Speaker 13: the value that you know, the team has on a
- 54:16Speaker 13: person is a little bit different than the value that
- 54:18Speaker 13: the market has on a person. And so those are
- 54:20Speaker 13: just things I'm learning guys that, like I told you
- 54:21Speaker 13: guys before, it's like I'm green, but I'm learning, I'm evolving.
- 54:25Speaker 13: And these are the conversations that have to be at.
- 54:28Speaker 7: What's the goal for you the next the next month plus,
- 54:31Speaker 7: what do you want to do?
- 54:32Speaker 5: What do you want to get done? Do you want
- 54:33Speaker 5: to kind of unplug a little bit?
- 54:34Speaker 10: Are you going to be here about it?
- 54:35Speaker 13: I've always looked at this period of time, even as
- 54:37Speaker 13: a player, is a time to really develop, you know.
- 54:40Speaker 13: So if you guys have some good book titles or
- 54:41Speaker 13: anything like that, send them my way. But at the
- 54:44Speaker 13: same time, you know, I love football. I love thinking
- 54:46Speaker 13: about football. Even if I wasn't getting paid, wasn't getting paid,
- 54:48Speaker 13: I would still be thinking about football.
- 54:50Speaker 9: But I got to spend some time with my family
- 54:52Speaker 9: as well.
- 54:52Speaker 13: And this is the time you build up that goodwill
- 54:55Speaker 13: with your family, knowing that once you get to camp,
- 54:57Speaker 13: now there's go time.
- 54:58Speaker 9: The work life balance fifty to fifty thing, that's that's
- 55:01Speaker 9: not a thing.
- 55:02Speaker 13: It's one hundred one hundred, right, Either I'm one hundred
- 55:04Speaker 13: percent at work or I'm one hundred percent at home.
- 55:07Speaker 14: Period of learning and experience a lot of first time
- 55:09Speaker 14: coaches in retrospect will say one of the things that
- 55:12Speaker 14: they're surprised them is how much of what they had
- 55:15Speaker 14: to do wasn't coaching or football related. How have you
- 55:18Speaker 14: found that balance thus far and just being out here
- 55:21Speaker 14: on the field, has it made you feel like a
- 55:22Speaker 14: football coach?
- 55:23Speaker 9: Yeah? Absolutely.
- 55:24Speaker 13: I remember when I first took the job, it was like, man,
- 55:26Speaker 13: I'm just in a room all day every day, and
- 55:29Speaker 13: the first time we were able to come out on
- 55:30Speaker 13: the field face two, it was one of those eye
- 55:33Speaker 13: opening experiences. And even the veteran mini camp time, it's
- 55:36Speaker 13: been just it's a great time to really talk about
- 55:38Speaker 13: football fundamentals and also exit and know's And you're exactly right,
- 55:42Speaker 13: there's a lot of non football things that head coaches
- 55:45Speaker 13: have to deal with, and so.
- 55:46Speaker 10: I'm like one one who playing some my guard and
- 55:48Speaker 10: on Monday's practice, is that still a consideration.
- 55:51Speaker 13: Look, we're gonna try to get the best five out there,
- 55:53Speaker 13: and once again, it's hard to evaluate offensive line a
- 55:55Speaker 13: defensive line during this time. So we'll see when training
- 55:58Speaker 13: camp comes around. But once again, we all always talk
- 56:00Speaker 13: about the more you can do, the versatility not only
- 56:03Speaker 13: with the players but also the coaches. UH and he's
- 56:05Speaker 13: he's one of those guys that is blessed with that
- 56:07Speaker 13: versatility to be able to play both spots with him.
- 56:10Speaker 10: We did see Kenn Wallace or right tackle. What have
- 56:11Speaker 10: you been What have been your early impressions of Wallas?
- 56:14Speaker 13: Yeah, I would say these young old linemen, even the
- 56:15Speaker 13: guys making that second year job, they've been doing a
- 56:18Speaker 13: good job. Scotty and the rest of it and Coogler
- 56:20Speaker 13: the rest of that crew. They've really been you know,
- 56:22Speaker 13: focused on fundamentals and things like that. Less about scheme
- 56:25Speaker 13: right now, but all those guys are doing a good job.
- 56:27Speaker 7: Rod Alex hil Pelton said last week got they still
- 56:30Speaker 7: pretty much the entire offense and they're trying to run
- 56:32Speaker 7: through it twice this spring so that they can hit
- 56:34Speaker 7: the ground running for training camp. Seen it twice, now,
- 56:37Speaker 7: what are your thoughts in the offense?
- 56:38Speaker 13: That's good, you know, it's you know, we control the
- 56:40Speaker 13: ball and but I would say this, you really don't
- 56:42Speaker 13: know about the running game and say we'd put pads on.
- 56:44Speaker 13: But those guys, you know, as far as the lingo,
- 56:46Speaker 13: the language and you know, the execution, I think those
- 56:49Speaker 13: guys are pretty much on good pace.
- 56:51Speaker 2: There's another guy who's been here a lot but hasn't
- 56:53Speaker 2: necessarily been proximate with the team is on talkie talkie.
- 56:57Speaker 7: What's it been like to have him in the building
- 56:59Speaker 7: and do you have the update on when he might.
- 57:01Speaker 8: Be able to knock on?
- 57:03Speaker 13: It's been great having a Taki Taki here. You know,
- 57:06Speaker 13: I've actually watched him like the last two years. It
- 57:08Speaker 13: was always that, you know, man, this is a good
- 57:09Speaker 13: guy to have h He's good to be around. He
- 57:12Speaker 13: understands the defense, the exit and o's and you know,
- 57:15Speaker 13: dealing with a little bit, you know, just some soreness
- 57:17Speaker 13: or whatever. But once again, it's a new program. It's
- 57:19Speaker 13: expected with the old line.
- 57:21Speaker 2: We've obviously in a lot of different combinations out here,
- 57:23Speaker 2: especially with Jacoby and a QB.
- 57:24Speaker 9: This is why I tell you guys don't do the
- 57:26Speaker 9: depth charts.
- 57:27Speaker 2: The question is will there be a point in time
- 57:29Speaker 2: where you want to have five guys to sort of
- 57:31Speaker 2: build continuity? Is that like a training camp?
- 57:33Speaker 13: Absolutely? Absolutely, I mean at some point in time. All right,
- 57:37Speaker 13: here's the depth chart, right, this is what it is.
- 57:38Speaker 13: And to your point, the offensive line, there should be
- 57:41Speaker 13: no tighter group than the offensive line obviously there to
- 57:44Speaker 13: protect the quarterbacks.
- 57:45Speaker 8: So Jalen Hawkins, the guy that we've seen a little
- 57:48Speaker 8: bit play deep safety teams like is, how do you
- 57:50Speaker 8: see him fitting in? He's got some starts under his belt.
- 57:54Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, we have we have a good safety group.
- 57:57Speaker 13: We have versatility back there, we have safety that can
- 58:00Speaker 13: play linebacker, line, we have safety.
- 58:04Speaker 9: It's gonna be a very competitive group and we'll see
- 58:06Speaker 9: in training camp. But he's done a good job for us.
- 58:08Speaker 7: Right You guys have four quarterbacks on the roster right now.
- 58:11Speaker 7: It's a lot of reps to kind of split up,
- 58:12Speaker 7: and two of them are rookies. Obviously, the envision going
- 58:15Speaker 7: into camp with.
- 58:15Speaker 13: Four quarterbacks absolutely, absolutely, That's that's how I see it
- 58:19Speaker 13: right now. Look, we'll have these conversations as the week progresses,
- 58:23Speaker 13: but that's how I see it right now.
- 58:24Speaker 6: And on the health front, you mentioned getting out of
- 58:26Speaker 6: here healthy outside and maybe Cole Strange who last when
- 58:30Speaker 6: we last spoke to you, I think he said like
- 58:31Speaker 6: months to month type thing.
- 58:32Speaker 5: Yeah, everyone else tracking to maybe be ready for the
- 58:35Speaker 5: start of training camp.
- 58:36Speaker 13: Everyone else is tracking, they're tracking to be there. Let's
- 58:39Speaker 13: just say the first couple of weeks of training camp.
- 58:41Speaker 13: So we're fairly healthy.
- 58:43Speaker 10: You had to make some cuts in training camp. Obviously
- 58:47Speaker 10: you're a former player, it must be a difficult process.
- 58:49Speaker 10: I don't know if you've been through that before, but
- 58:50Speaker 10: I just wanted to ask you about what that process
- 58:52Speaker 10: has been like for you.
- 58:53Speaker 13: Yeah, the process is it has been tough. But I
- 58:55Speaker 13: would say even when I was a linebacker coach, I've
- 58:58Speaker 13: always looked at these as long term or relationships and
- 59:01Speaker 13: have always tried to treat those guys with respect and transparency,
- 59:03Speaker 13: and so those conversations are hard. At the same time,
- 59:06Speaker 13: there's a business side of it that I think most
- 59:08Speaker 13: of the guys understand.
- 59:10Speaker 7: So how would you saw up your first spring here
- 59:13Speaker 7: as a head coach.
- 59:14Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 59:15Speaker 13: I mean, I guess that's for you guys to really
- 59:16Speaker 13: figure out and you guys to write about.
- 59:18Speaker 5: I've learned a ton.
- 59:20Speaker 9: I've learned a ton, not only just out here on
- 59:22Speaker 9: the field, but also in the classroom.
- 59:24Speaker 10: You know.
- 59:24Speaker 13: Being able to talk to coaches that have been outside
- 59:27Speaker 13: of this this building has been great. Being able to
- 59:29Speaker 13: reach out to guys like a Kevin O'Connell, you know.
- 59:32Speaker 13: Having Tony Dungey here, it's been fantastic for me and
- 59:35Speaker 13: That's why I say, like, this is the first evolution
- 59:37Speaker 13: as you know, for me as Jerry Mail the head coach,
- 59:41Speaker 13: and it'll probably be different at some point in time.
- 59:43Speaker 13: But I'm learning a ton and it's been great because you've.
- 59:46Speaker 14: Got these guys in the meeting rooms, in health sessions
- 59:49Speaker 14: and so forth. How much of your business experience has
- 59:51Speaker 14: informed kind of your approach to tens span learning, you know,
- 59:56Speaker 14: optimizing that time.
- 59:57Speaker 13: Yeah, we always talk about mental sprints a right, We
- 59:59Speaker 13: alway talk about mental One thing I would say I
- 1:00:01Speaker 13: took away from business is just being able to communicate
- 1:00:03Speaker 13: with different people different you know, different attitudes and different times.
- 1:00:08Speaker 9: Of the year or men, women, black, white.
- 1:00:10Speaker 13: It doesn't really matter because when you work in business,
- 1:00:13Speaker 13: I mean, it's the whole gambit. This is a male
- 1:00:15Speaker 13: dominated industry obviously, but there are women who are continuing
- 1:00:18Speaker 13: to be promoted in this league.
- 1:00:20Speaker 9: And also you know, players non players. It's just the
- 1:00:23Speaker 9: communication part of it.
- 1:00:25Speaker 5: That's part of wrapping up the spring. Do you expect
- 1:00:28Speaker 5: like the team to be there tonight? Like players, how
- 1:00:30Speaker 5: are you guys handling it?
- 1:00:31Speaker 13: Yeah, we'll have a good amount of players on this
- 1:00:34Speaker 13: team right now. And like I said, earlier. We'll have
- 1:00:36Speaker 13: a good amount of guys coming back to support time.
- 1:00:38Speaker 13: It's all about Tom today, and I'm excited to be
- 1:00:40Speaker 13: a fan honestly, like he's the goat.
- 1:00:43Speaker 5: Thank you, Thanks to you, and.
- 1:00:48Speaker 7: Now great moments in.
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: History.
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: I know historically teams have retired jerseys for much lesser
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: players than Brady, But say Aaron Rodgers became available next
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: year and wanted to We're twelve. Where would you stand
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: on it?
- 1:01:02Speaker 7: Go ahead, tell you no one can touch I thought
- 1:01:05Speaker 7: you were sorry. Yeah, I do not believe anybody will work.
- 1:01:09Speaker 8: They will not touch it.
- 1:01:11Speaker 9: Ye, dude, I don't think anyone should wear any seven either.
- 1:01:18Speaker 7: Do you agree? Fred?
- 1:01:19Speaker 8: I agree?
- 1:01:20Speaker 9: Do you?
- 1:01:21Speaker 7: Do you agree that no one will ever?
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: I agree that no one will ever twelve and should not.
- 1:01:26Speaker 7: I think we're all agree.
- 1:01:27Speaker 8: I think they should retire his number here while he's
- 1:01:30Speaker 8: still playing in the league.
- 1:01:31Speaker 5: No, he's dead to us right now. That's another great
- 1:01:35Speaker 5: moment from.
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: Hey, summer is here, which means it's time to turn
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: off that alarm and sleep in. Thanks to Bob's discount
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: furniture save Big by bundling Bobbo Peedick mattresses with your
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: choice of fantastic adjustable bases full of fun features like
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: charging ports, under bed lighting, and bluetooth speakers. So stop
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: in and sleep better with Bob's disc on furniture, the
- 1:02:00Speaker 3: official furniture store of the New England Patriots.
- 1:02:05Speaker 12: Go.
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: Yeah, so a lot of people emailing in people have
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: things to say about the people think.
- 1:02:12Speaker 8: Of me too, because we're so close to it and
- 1:02:14Speaker 8: it hits home for us that I am curious as well.
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: So let's go to the emails that are coming in
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: at web radio at Patriots dot com. First one, let's
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: go to Ray in Saint Louis. I love last night.
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: What I love the most about it is that Tom
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: got to feel that while he's alive. It seemed that
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: people only honored this way when they are no longer here.
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: So I get what he's saying here. You know, Tom
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: is the greatest ever and deserve to get his flowers
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: while he could smell them. So I'm proud this happened.
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: Shout out to r KKM Glad.
- 1:02:46Speaker 6: I'm glad his parents got to be there too, you
- 1:02:48Speaker 6: see it, because that's a little bit more tenuous.
- 1:02:50Speaker 5: With their agent.
- 1:02:52Speaker 7: Not that she needs me to. I thought she looked
- 1:02:54Speaker 7: fantastic Galen. Yeah, for someone who's been through I mean
- 1:02:58Speaker 7: not that long ago. I thought she looked really good. Yep.
- 1:03:03Speaker 3: Matt and Birmingham sat up last night to watch the
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: ceremony for the Goat. Amazing coverage from Patriots as usual.
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: We are so fortunate to get the opportunity to watch
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: these events from across the pond. Retiring twelve is a
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: fantastic tribute. I've been following the Patriots since two thousand
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: as a fifteen year old. I picked them because they
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: had England in the name. They play in red and blue,
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: which is obviously similar to the colors my soccer team,
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: Aston Villa play in. And I really like Drew. I
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: can't thank you guys enough for what you do. It
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: really helps to bring the Patriots closer to US fans
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: in the UK.
- 1:03:37Speaker 8: That's great. How did seventeen seventy six go though? Just kidding?
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: Wow, let's see, Aaron says. The fan reaction to Belichick
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: gave me goose pumps. True class for a true legend.
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: Love to see it. Just let's see next one. Jeffrey
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: in Canada, love the whole thing. Brady was the star
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: of the event, obviously, but I like to give my
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: hockey style three stars on those who took part. Third
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: star is Gronk. His point, Tom was the only guy
- 1:04:13Speaker 3: who could make this happen getting the band back together.
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: Second star Drew bledsoe, how do we get him working
- 1:04:19Speaker 3: for the Patriots full time? Seems like.
- 1:04:23Speaker 7: I've been making fun of him a little bit about that.
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: And first star the fans in the stands, what they
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: did for Moss, for Welker, for Bill, etcetera. That made
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: it extra special. They were all taken aback. It reminded
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: me of when Bill Buckner went back to Fenway. Well
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: that was more pity.
- 1:04:40Speaker 8: I was gonna say. It wasn't quite that bad.
- 1:04:42Speaker 7: Yeah, I do agree. The crowd was strong.
- 1:04:47Speaker 15: Let's see Henry, another person from the UK. He had
- 1:04:53Speaker 15: to go to bed before Brady Night started. Will the
- 1:04:55Speaker 15: video of the evening be available? It will be eventually.
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: Like I said, we're just working through what we can
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: and can't use from a licensing standpoint, but we'll get
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: probably eighty to ninety percent of it up there as
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: it as you you know, as it played out live.
- 1:05:11Speaker 7: You need suggestions for edits to check with me.
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: Okay, would you ever do a cutdown version.
- 1:05:16Speaker 5: It's just you know, maybe the great.
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: There's tons of stuff available now.
- 1:05:20Speaker 8: Well, I wrote not to not to plug my stuff,
- 1:05:23Speaker 8: but I wrote the best moments, and a great job
- 1:05:26Speaker 8: by our social team cutting out like one to two
- 1:05:28Speaker 8: minute excerpts that they posted on on x that are
- 1:05:32Speaker 8: also in the post, so you can watch the Randy
- 1:05:35Speaker 8: Moss ovation, the Belicheck ovation, Peyton manning up with Brady
- 1:05:38Speaker 8: in those little snapshots of time.
- 1:05:41Speaker 5: Yeah, Peyton, Peyton was was was good too.
- 1:05:43Speaker 7: I thought he was his typical self depreciation.
- 1:05:47Speaker 8: I like, how good he is.
- 1:05:48Speaker 7: He really is good at it. I liked that story
- 1:05:52Speaker 7: you told about nine about them getting together and the.
- 1:05:55Speaker 8: High school kids. Yea, it's great.
- 1:05:57Speaker 7: Tell anybody threatening threatening the kids to me, Like in
- 1:06:00Speaker 7: my mind I know it was. He was being serious
- 1:06:02Speaker 7: like we don't want anybody nobody. Reminded me of the
- 1:06:04Speaker 7: same Night Live.
- 1:06:06Speaker 5: Like, oh, that's one of my favorite.
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: Kids.
- 1:06:09Speaker 6: It was and part of me though, Like I was
- 1:06:11Speaker 6: enjoying him so much and he was just like, oh
- 1:06:14Speaker 6: he got me most of the times. I'm like, well,
- 1:06:15Speaker 6: come on, Peyton, like you know you you got a
- 1:06:18Speaker 6: couple off of him at the end.
- 1:06:19Speaker 7: Like you know you three and two in the player. Yeah, yeah, man,
- 1:06:24Speaker 7: was I know.
- 1:06:24Speaker 6: That's that's where like, that's when my head space went
- 1:06:26Speaker 6: back to it, and I'm like, oh, don't be so
- 1:06:27Speaker 6: hard on yourself, Peyton, You're good now Brady beat him
- 1:06:30Speaker 6: in the regular season.
- 1:06:32Speaker 8: There's eleven six ridiculous.
- 1:06:33Speaker 5: What did you guys think of the like the ray
- 1:06:36Speaker 5: Lewis ed Reid those.
- 1:06:39Speaker 7: Years old and he does look at that bear. I
- 1:06:42Speaker 7: loved the premise. I thought, you know, these are nitpicks. Okay,
- 1:06:47Speaker 7: we all enjoyed it. Can we all like get that?
- 1:06:50Speaker 7: I thought that was too long. I thought thought they
- 1:06:52Speaker 7: went to each individual guy too many times.
- 1:06:54Speaker 5: Sure, sure, you know, I think that's a good that's
- 1:06:56Speaker 5: a good criticism.
- 1:06:57Speaker 8: I just back to Peyton real quick. The I think
- 1:07:01Speaker 8: what makes it so cool is that he had a
- 1:07:03Speaker 8: worthy adversary.
- 1:07:05Speaker 5: That he talked about it pushing each other.
- 1:07:07Speaker 8: It was just so bird magic or like something like that,
- 1:07:11Speaker 8: where it was like, you actually have this other quarterback
- 1:07:14Speaker 8: who's probably the second greatest quarterback of all time all
- 1:07:17Speaker 8: things considered.
- 1:07:17Speaker 7: In the conversation anyway, and is a playing at.
- 1:07:21Speaker 8: The exact same time where their careers lined up perfectly.
- 1:07:25Speaker 8: That it just felt like every single wind was was
- 1:07:30Speaker 8: worth you know, worthy of what we call Brady because
- 1:07:33Speaker 8: he was beating paid well learned. Yeah, it's you know,
- 1:07:36Speaker 8: it's when you don't have that that foil there, it's
- 1:07:39Speaker 8: not quite as sweet.
- 1:07:40Speaker 6: I feel like, yeah, I get Paul's point on the
- 1:07:43Speaker 6: on the you know, competitors one, but I just I
- 1:07:46Speaker 6: watched Tom during that, and I think it might have
- 1:07:48Speaker 6: hit a little bit more with Tom. But I just
- 1:07:50Speaker 6: thought it was cool that they were able to get
- 1:07:53Speaker 6: the the the rivals, you know, I mean Ed Reid,
- 1:07:57Speaker 6: ray Lewis. I mean, I thought what ray Lewis had
- 1:07:58Speaker 6: to say was just really cool how he loved it
- 1:08:01Speaker 6: along those Jason Taylor was really good. But I think
- 1:08:04Speaker 6: I totally agree with your point though, Like I think that.
- 1:08:08Speaker 7: If I'm not expecting to hear much criticism. To be
- 1:08:12Speaker 7: honest with you, I heard one. You didn't hear to
- 1:08:14Speaker 7: the Sports Up this morning, Yeah I heard. But but
- 1:08:17Speaker 7: in fairness, wait till to Fred. You know, Fred Toucher
- 1:08:21Speaker 7: was you know, it's just that he felt he found
- 1:08:22Speaker 7: it boring. Okay, but he said, he goes, but this
- 1:08:25Speaker 7: wasn't for me. I'm not a Patriots fan, and he
- 1:08:28Speaker 7: flat out said it. I think he is kind of
- 1:08:30Speaker 7: curmudgeingly to begin with, but this wasn't for him, and he,
- 1:08:35Speaker 7: in full disclosure, said I'm not a Patriots fan, right, Yeah,
- 1:08:38Speaker 7: so he found it boring.
- 1:08:39Speaker 5: Neither is beat.
- 1:08:40Speaker 7: Apparently the only oh he was critical of it too.
- 1:08:43Speaker 5: He's actually I talked to a lot of yesterday.
- 1:08:46Speaker 7: I talked to a lot of media people last night,
- 1:08:47Speaker 7: and they didn't all love it, which I will say, but.
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: Had they put them way in the back and everything.
- 1:08:53Speaker 7: I thought it was fine where yeah, let them where
- 1:08:56Speaker 7: I was, where ever it was, and I didn't have
- 1:08:57Speaker 7: any problem.
- 1:08:58Speaker 3: Aaron was saying he couldn't hear anything.
- 1:09:00Speaker 5: It was.
- 1:09:01Speaker 7: Did you go to the second row? It was much
- 1:09:03Speaker 7: better audio in the second Oh?
- 1:09:04Speaker 8: Really that would That's that was fair. It was a
- 1:09:07Speaker 8: little bit difficult to hear some of the softer speakers,
- 1:09:10Speaker 8: but once Brady, you know, people that were standing at
- 1:09:13Speaker 8: that podium, that wasn't an issue. Brady Belichick, you know
- 1:09:17Speaker 8: r KK, but.
- 1:09:18Speaker 3: But you know his guy spent four hours yesterday saying
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: there's no interest in this. Meanwhile, they're doing it live
- 1:09:24Speaker 3: from the harp. Why aren't you in Dallas? If you know,
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: we want to be where the action is.
- 1:09:28Speaker 5: Well, it was, I mean, Evan alluded to yesterday.
- 1:09:31Speaker 6: I was listening to Beetle and Zoe yesterday and I
- 1:09:34Speaker 6: was Beatle making that point of like, well, wouldn't it
- 1:09:36Speaker 6: be better if they were good?
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: Now?
- 1:09:37Speaker 5: I'm like, this isn't about now.
- 1:09:38Speaker 7: That's a stupid articular. I wanted. I wanted. I wanted
- 1:09:42Speaker 7: to like that.
- 1:09:43Speaker 5: It was like, this is one of the rare moments,
- 1:09:45Speaker 5: you know, right like and I almost think like what
- 1:09:47Speaker 5: give him the what for? Wouldn't it be like wouldn't
- 1:09:49Speaker 5: it be less special if they were good? Because you
- 1:09:51Speaker 5: realize like, oh, well it's not that hard. Look, we're
- 1:09:53Speaker 5: already good again, you know.
- 1:09:54Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 1:09:56Speaker 6: And then it sounds like from Evan Evan had to
- 1:09:58Speaker 6: turn the radio off this morning with him sorry haven't
- 1:10:00Speaker 6: but yeah, I came in.
- 1:10:02Speaker 7: Hot with Fred No no, after I just strolling and
- 1:10:08Speaker 7: after would you just tell me come in for the show?
- 1:10:11Speaker 7: I missed that memo. I came in at ten. It
- 1:10:14Speaker 7: like it was, why do I care what time.
- 1:10:17Speaker 8: You got your well, you know, to be to be fair,
- 1:10:21Speaker 8: I said to Deuce, I didn't go to bed last
- 1:10:23Speaker 8: night until I mean, Fred, you might not have slept, so.
- 1:10:26Speaker 7: I don't want to.
- 1:10:28Speaker 3: I get home around one.
- 1:10:29Speaker 8: Okay, Wow, that doesn't make me feel how much twelve
- 1:10:32Speaker 8: thirty I feel? I feel better? Yeah, I I I
- 1:10:35Speaker 8: didn't go to sleep right away because between this and
- 1:10:38Speaker 8: the Celtics, my mind was still going. So but anyways,
- 1:10:42Speaker 8: I what.
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: About the Red Sox fun win last night?
- 1:10:45Speaker 7: Now that fun team got back to five hundred Freddy
- 1:10:48Speaker 7: fun team. Everybody has ten.
- 1:10:52Speaker 8: Everybody picks on our our boss. You want to talk
- 1:10:55Speaker 8: about picking on a boss of a team right now?
- 1:10:59Speaker 8: Sell the team? Please?
- 1:11:02Speaker 7: Well, I was going to say, the only criticism that
- 1:11:04Speaker 7: I would think we would hear much of is the length. Yeah,
- 1:11:08Speaker 7: and that's what Like, I were talking to a lot
- 1:11:11Speaker 7: of different people, and my crony spread to your point,
- 1:11:14Speaker 7: Like they're not Mike and Tony because I haven't talked
- 1:11:16Speaker 7: to them yet, but they were like, man, we're like
- 1:11:19Speaker 7: an hour forty five minutes in, no no Bill and
- 1:11:23Speaker 7: no Tom. Yet this thing's never going to end. That
- 1:11:25Speaker 7: was like the only criticism that I'd heard. I didn't
- 1:11:28Speaker 7: hear anybody say really anything about well the whole you know,
- 1:11:33Speaker 7: why did they do do this? Why did we hear
- 1:11:35Speaker 7: from him. Yeah, I just think that it was it
- 1:11:37Speaker 7: was too much, right, we heard from too many deaths,
- 1:11:39Speaker 7: and you'd rather.
- 1:11:40Speaker 5: Do too much and too little.
- 1:11:41Speaker 7: And I think you know that was not me. Now
- 1:11:43Speaker 7: you go the other way, you'd rather just be sparse.
- 1:11:45Speaker 7: That's I mean, leave them one well how you always
- 1:11:47Speaker 7: say leave them morning.
- 1:11:48Speaker 6: You You've got a lot of egos on stage and
- 1:11:50Speaker 6: they all got their story to tell, and it's hard
- 1:11:53Speaker 6: to really plan out.
- 1:11:54Speaker 5: I mean, I think you have to in the planning
- 1:11:56Speaker 5: phases say we know these guys are going to want.
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: To talk a lot.
- 1:11:59Speaker 5: We have to be very elective about the people.
- 1:12:01Speaker 6: That the fans really want to hear from and some
- 1:12:03Speaker 6: of the like lesser known guys that you know, but
- 1:12:05Speaker 6: still at the same time, like Wes Welker didn't have
- 1:12:07Speaker 6: a lot to say.
- 1:12:08Speaker 5: But the applause for him, like that was a moment
- 1:12:10Speaker 5: for me. And even though you know he didn't say.
- 1:12:12Speaker 3: It again, No, we never had a chance to say goodbye.
- 1:12:14Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:12:15Speaker 8: Yeah, I just feel like I these guys almost deserve
- 1:12:20Speaker 8: it in a way to be able to speak their turn.
- 1:12:23Speaker 8: And I'm I'm with Paul a little bit on the
- 1:12:25Speaker 8: fact that the Panels could have maybe been a little
- 1:12:27Speaker 8: bit more efficient, like we could have cut down on
- 1:12:29Speaker 8: some of them, but I still feel like some of
- 1:12:33Speaker 8: those guys, especially Gronk, Brandy Moss, you know, some of
- 1:12:37Speaker 8: these big names that have come through this organization of
- 1:12:41Speaker 8: obviously Bill like those guys deserve.
- 1:12:44Speaker 7: Yeah, the platform. I'm just saying, like if you if
- 1:12:46Speaker 7: you look at it, would you ever go to someone's
- 1:12:49Speaker 7: retirement ceremony and say, man, I wish I had got
- 1:12:53Speaker 7: to hear from Gronk or I wish I'm not saying
- 1:12:57Speaker 7: that you're mad that you heard from Gronk, I'm saying
- 1:13:00Speaker 7: it's Tom Brady's retirement night. I didn't need to hear
- 1:13:03Speaker 7: from Randy Moss, Wes Welker, Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, William McGinnis,
- 1:13:12Speaker 7: Like I didn't need.
- 1:13:13Speaker 3: To hear that.
- 1:13:13Speaker 8: That's the panel that I didn't need to hear from.
- 1:13:16Speaker 8: I kind of needed, not needed. But those were his
- 1:13:20Speaker 8: guys that he was throwing the ball to for twenty years,
- 1:13:23Speaker 8: So it was it was cool, you know, and not
- 1:13:25Speaker 8: also not just that they're all really really good friends,
- 1:13:29Speaker 8: you know, So those are his boys, like Edelman, Gronk, Amandola,
- 1:13:33Speaker 8: like those are his guys. So you know, I feel
- 1:13:36Speaker 8: like in this sort of setting it they should be
- 1:13:38Speaker 8: heard from.
- 1:13:39Speaker 5: A little bit.
- 1:13:40Speaker 6: I see to Paul's point for tom Brady's retirement that view,
- 1:13:43Speaker 6: But I think what kind of happened to me during
- 1:13:45Speaker 6: the course of it was that this wasn't just about
- 1:13:47Speaker 6: tom Brady. This was kind of closure and a celebration
- 1:13:50Speaker 6: for all of it. And you know, as the person
- 1:13:52Speaker 6: who had to produce these panels that everybody wants to cut,
- 1:13:55Speaker 6: I like that.
- 1:13:56Speaker 7: I liked in full disclosure. Everybody know, I've been making
- 1:14:01Speaker 7: fun of you about this for months and.
- 1:14:03Speaker 6: That's and that's no, and that's I don't I don't,
- 1:14:04Speaker 6: you know. But for me, that painted the full picture.
- 1:14:08Speaker 6: I liked hearing from from William McGinnis. And was it
- 1:14:10Speaker 6: a little long, sure, But if I had to go back,
- 1:14:13Speaker 6: I think you really painted the full picture of tom Brady,
- 1:14:16Speaker 6: his time with the Patriots, how it happened, and how
- 1:14:19Speaker 6: everybody on the team viewed him, from the defensive side
- 1:14:22Speaker 6: of the ball, to the opponents that he went to,
- 1:14:24Speaker 6: to the quarterback that he had arrival with, to the
- 1:14:27Speaker 6: the four guys.
- 1:14:27Speaker 5: That he threw the most touchdowns to. You know, I
- 1:14:30Speaker 5: agree with the general point.
- 1:14:31Speaker 7: But and I and your your point about it, it
- 1:14:35Speaker 7: was more than just the braid, Like that's why I'm disappointed.
- 1:14:38Speaker 7: I wanted it to be Brady's night.
- 1:14:40Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, Jackie and Aba. I was moved close
- 1:14:44Speaker 3: to tiers a couple of times during the Brady tribute,
- 1:14:47Speaker 3: two of the highlights where Drew Bledsoe and Peyton Manning.
- 1:14:50Speaker 3: Bledsoe was a gracious gentleman as he has always been
- 1:14:54Speaker 3: to Brady, the man who pushed his career into irrelevance.
- 1:14:58Speaker 3: Manning made the extra effort to appear personally to congratulate
- 1:15:01Speaker 3: Brady on his once in a lifetime career. If not
- 1:15:04Speaker 3: for Brady, Manning would have gone down in the record
- 1:15:07Speaker 3: books as the greatest quarterback of his generation. Manning's personal
- 1:15:10Speaker 3: appearance was a classy move. I agree with the point
- 1:15:14Speaker 3: made by the PU panel today that the Brady event
- 1:15:17Speaker 3: ended the Brady era with finality, which was something the
- 1:15:20Speaker 3: Patriots and their fans needed.
- 1:15:22Speaker 7: Yes, closure was the word I heard a lot of, Yeah,
- 1:15:24Speaker 7: a lot last night, and I totally agree with that.
- 1:15:26Speaker 8: That's what we were talking about this. Sorry to cut
- 1:15:28Speaker 8: you off, but we're talking about this on the way
- 1:15:30Speaker 8: down here. I love nothing more than the fact that
- 1:15:34Speaker 8: the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are completely wipe from that man's mind.
- 1:15:38Speaker 8: It makes me so happy that we until he does
- 1:15:42Speaker 8: this next year. No, let me make this clear.
- 1:15:46Speaker 7: There's no coach I'd rather play for than Bah.
- 1:15:49Speaker 8: Yeah. I am just so genuine because when he went
- 1:15:52Speaker 8: to Tampa, other than the heartbreak and disappointment, the other
- 1:15:55Speaker 8: thing that I was really concerned about was that we
- 1:15:57Speaker 8: were going to almost have to share him with the
- 1:16:00Speaker 8: Bucks a little bit and a little bit, Like I
- 1:16:03Speaker 8: think that does exist with Peyton to an extent with Denver,
- 1:16:06Speaker 8: even though he's a cult he lives in Denver and
- 1:16:10Speaker 8: he's he's there a lot, and.
- 1:16:13Speaker 7: It's much different I think because he played I think
- 1:16:15Speaker 7: he played longer in Denver then Yeah, but yeah, I
- 1:16:20Speaker 7: mean I understand your point. I do feel like it's
- 1:16:22Speaker 7: more of a share situation. But it's six and one
- 1:16:28Speaker 7: as opposed to one in one. Yeah, I mean that's
- 1:16:30Speaker 7: a big difference.
- 1:16:31Speaker 6: I appreciate what Tom has had to say when he
- 1:16:33Speaker 6: first came here last September, Like I just want to
- 1:16:35Speaker 6: be done with him trying to address it, like we
- 1:16:37Speaker 6: get it, like you know, it just seems like there's
- 1:16:39Speaker 6: a lot of I know, I went to play for
- 1:16:41Speaker 6: the Bucks, and I'm kind of sorry about it.
- 1:16:43Speaker 5: But don't worry, guys, like I still love you the most,
- 1:16:45Speaker 5: Like we get it, Like you know, I don't need
- 1:16:47Speaker 5: like he doesn't have to keep highlights back.
- 1:16:49Speaker 7: We got him back.
- 1:16:50Speaker 8: Fred he called that, he called it home. He said,
- 1:16:52Speaker 8: I'm a Patriot. He said, They're not going to do.
- 1:16:55Speaker 7: This on Brady.
- 1:16:55Speaker 5: You're forgiven time.
- 1:16:56Speaker 8: They're not going to do this in Tampa next year.
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: We're like, we're like the spouse who who their their
- 1:17:01Speaker 3: partner cheated. I'll never fully trust you.
- 1:17:04Speaker 5: It was a flame super Bowl.
- 1:17:06Speaker 8: I trust him.
- 1:17:08Speaker 5: Trust I had Gronk with me when we did it.
- 1:17:10Speaker 5: I mean, it was basically the Patriot solves.
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: I just wanted to congratulate you all for a memorable evening.
- 1:17:17Speaker 3: It was wonderful, but I did miss a few important men.
- 1:17:20Speaker 3: At the top of my list are Adam Vin and Terry,
- 1:17:23Speaker 3: Teddy Bruski, and Rodney Harrison. I sure hope they are okay. Yeah,
- 1:17:28Speaker 3: they're all doing well. I will always and forever be
- 1:17:30Speaker 3: a Patriots fan. How many years have I been rooting
- 1:17:33Speaker 3: for my team? Suffice it to say many many decades.
- 1:17:36Speaker 3: I even remember how it was early on and then
- 1:17:39Speaker 3: the excitement when we drafted drew bledsoe no one would
- 1:17:42Speaker 3: ever have been able to predict what happened next. I
- 1:17:44Speaker 3: cannot even find the right words to describe the happiness
- 1:17:47Speaker 3: and memories the Patriots and everything related to them brought me.
- 1:17:50Speaker 3: It goes far beyond grateful. I enjoy watching listening to
- 1:17:54Speaker 3: Patriots Unfiltered every Tuesday and Thursday. Keep up the great work.
- 1:17:56Speaker 9: Thank you guys.
- 1:17:57Speaker 3: Rock And that's Laurie from North Dartmouth. That's a big
- 1:18:01Speaker 3: head country.
- 1:18:02Speaker 7: Yes, spend a lot of time with big Head.
- 1:18:04Speaker 9: Yes.
- 1:18:05Speaker 6: Bring up one more fun mini camp fact. I don't
- 1:18:07Speaker 6: know if it's fun, but taekwon Thornton. Anybody wants jump
- 1:18:09Speaker 6: on that one.
- 1:18:10Speaker 3: He wasn't there.
- 1:18:11Speaker 7: That's a fun fact. He went from your number one
- 1:18:14Speaker 7: pick was a touchdown to the number two pick to
- 1:18:17Speaker 7: like making sure he stops all of this good will
- 1:18:20Speaker 7: to say, you know, taekwon Thorntons practices.
- 1:18:23Speaker 3: Sneaky, sneaky nagga.
- 1:18:27Speaker 8: There. It was two Sunshine dot Com produced, so he
- 1:18:29Speaker 8: just had to take.
- 1:18:30Speaker 5: Us down there. Brady was great, but taekwon Thornton did
- 1:18:33Speaker 5: miss a practice again.
- 1:18:35Speaker 3: Robin Pennsylvania brings up a question I heard and we
- 1:18:38Speaker 3: can answer it. He says, Tom was wearing a super
- 1:18:41Speaker 3: Bowl ring last night? Which one was it? Could it
- 1:18:44Speaker 3: be a scandal the Tampa ring? It was not a
- 1:18:46Speaker 3: super Bowl just a ring. The night before the event.
- 1:18:49Speaker 3: Last night, they had a dinner, private dinner with Robert,
- 1:18:52Speaker 3: and Robert presented him a special ring that he made
- 1:18:57Speaker 3: just for this night.
- 1:18:58Speaker 5: Why didn't the highlight that?
- 1:18:59Speaker 3: So it was a big twelve with a pig?
- 1:19:01Speaker 7: I actually would you?
- 1:19:02Speaker 8: Yeah, why didn't they tell us that?
- 1:19:03Speaker 7: You guys were talking about it?
- 1:19:05Speaker 6: Fourier right, Yeah, was trying to figure out which ring
- 1:19:07Speaker 6: I was going to text you, but I did, like
- 1:19:08Speaker 6: I was look at my phone, my hands in my pocket.
- 1:19:10Speaker 3: Well that's the thing.
- 1:19:11Speaker 7: I was going to text you and tell you that
- 1:19:15Speaker 7: that it was a special Yeah, But then I didn't
- 1:19:17Speaker 7: know if that was something that we necessarily you know.
- 1:19:20Speaker 7: And I also didn't want to fluster you, like I'm
- 1:19:22Speaker 7: like on the red Cup and I don't want to like,
- 1:19:24Speaker 7: you know, have you stop and think about, Oh, Paul
- 1:19:27Speaker 7: just texted me something. But something's going you know whatever.
- 1:19:29Speaker 7: So I didn't, but yeah, that's.
- 1:19:32Speaker 3: That was a custom ring that Robert presented to Tom.
- 1:19:34Speaker 7: I think it has a twel It was a twelve twelve.
- 1:19:37Speaker 3: And diamonds with a Patriot's logo put a ring on it. Yeah,
- 1:19:41Speaker 3: so he was.
- 1:19:44Speaker 7: It was funny. I forget who we were with, but
- 1:19:47Speaker 7: like you know, like those you know, those first class
- 1:19:52Speaker 7: problems people like try, like when Fourier was like trying
- 1:19:55Speaker 7: to figure it, Goes, that's the that's his favorite super Bowl.
- 1:19:57Speaker 7: That's how you can tell whatever one he's got on
- 1:20:00Speaker 7: if you can, if you can zero in on it
- 1:20:02Speaker 7: and figure it out. And they kind of gave a look,
- 1:20:05Speaker 7: but you couldn't really see the top. And I looked
- 1:20:07Speaker 7: at it and there was like five or six people
- 1:20:10Speaker 7: and I go that, I don't know, I have all
- 1:20:13Speaker 7: the rings. Well that's what I go, I have them all.
- 1:20:16Speaker 7: I don't know what's one that is.
- 1:20:17Speaker 3: But even they zoom in and it's fifty one. See
- 1:20:20Speaker 3: it was fifty one.
- 1:20:21Speaker 7: He did, what do you get it?
- 1:20:23Speaker 10: Goes?
- 1:20:23Speaker 7: He said, it was fifty one and because of the
- 1:20:26Speaker 7: amount of diamonds, like, which is dumb, because they all
- 1:20:29Speaker 7: have a ridiculous especially the last three.
- 1:20:32Speaker 3: But I just wanted to answer it.
- 1:20:33Speaker 8: Here was a special ring.
- 1:20:34Speaker 3: It was not a super Bowl ring.
- 1:20:36Speaker 8: I just want to cover a player, to cover a
- 1:20:38Speaker 8: player as a Patriot employee. And Paul is sitting over
- 1:20:41Speaker 8: there telling me he has all six super Bowl rings
- 1:20:43Speaker 8: at all, actually only five.
- 1:20:45Speaker 7: What I gotta watch?
- 1:20:47Speaker 3: I gotta watch Christopher Christopher the t I a like
- 1:20:55Speaker 3: fantastic night all around. The Moss and Belichick reactions were
- 1:20:58Speaker 3: tear jerkers, A bunch of emotions running through me. There
- 1:21:01Speaker 3: all class, Thank.
- 1:21:02Speaker 7: You, r K k uh if I have some pictures
- 1:21:04Speaker 7: if you want to see him wearing the actually you
- 1:21:08Speaker 7: bring him A.
- 1:21:09Speaker 6: Couple of like random like people that were there, Like
- 1:21:12Speaker 6: I couldn't believe how many guys turned out.
- 1:21:14Speaker 7: Like a keep to Leap was there, Like Bill given
- 1:21:17Speaker 7: a talib was one of the guys he mentioned he
- 1:21:20Speaker 7: saw him. I'm sure well. It was probably also in
- 1:21:22Speaker 7: reference to the you know, the dirtiest play in.
- 1:21:24Speaker 8: The history, which is accurate with we should have been like.
- 1:21:29Speaker 7: Nick Jack Tatum paralyzed Darryl Stingley. But that was the
- 1:21:32Speaker 7: dirtiest play that I've actually.
- 1:21:34Speaker 8: Nick Nick Cassio was there. Last time I saw him.
- 1:21:37Speaker 7: Was Josh Boy. He was there, yea Case was there
- 1:21:40Speaker 7: last night.
- 1:21:41Speaker 8: Yeah, he walked through and I was.
- 1:21:42Speaker 7: Like, that runs counter to some intel that he was
- 1:21:45Speaker 7: sitting right from.
- 1:21:46Speaker 8: Yeah, the last time we were you with me that
- 1:21:49Speaker 8: night in Indy. I don't remember.
- 1:21:51Speaker 5: I thought you were No, No, he was drunk. He's like.
- 1:21:55Speaker 7: I was going to say, probably not having a good
- 1:21:59Speaker 7: time in it's a good gath Wrong.
- 1:22:01Speaker 3: Yeah, Mike and Arlington now living in New Jersey. The
- 1:22:04Speaker 3: entire night, in my opinion, was exceptional. Your entire team
- 1:22:07Speaker 3: and all of our k Case team deserve a huge
- 1:22:09Speaker 3: round of applause for all the work that was done.
- 1:22:12Speaker 3: As you pointed out, the night for Larry Bird was
- 1:22:14Speaker 3: the epitome of what a sports legend should get. And
- 1:22:17Speaker 3: I just wanted to say, in my opinion, you superseded
- 1:22:19Speaker 3: that by leaps and bounds. Thank you for everything your
- 1:22:22Speaker 3: team does. It was a whole organization.
- 1:22:24Speaker 7: But yeah, yeah, I mean that was only like fifty
- 1:22:26Speaker 7: years later.
- 1:22:26Speaker 3: Yeah, but that was the bar that we went off of,
- 1:22:30Speaker 3: and we knew we had to like surpass that, and
- 1:22:33Speaker 3: obviously technology is better and all that stuff, and you
- 1:22:36Speaker 3: know it's.
- 1:22:36Speaker 8: Like, yeah, nineteen ninety thirty, Yeah, it's thirty years later. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:22:42Speaker 8: I think it was ninety three.
- 1:22:44Speaker 3: But I think, you know, I don't know, like other
- 1:22:47Speaker 3: than Bird and now Tom, I have any other team
- 1:22:50Speaker 3: done something like this.
- 1:22:52Speaker 8: For the Lakers? Did something similar for Magic?
- 1:22:54Speaker 9: Did they?
- 1:22:55Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 1:22:55Speaker 8: But it's all on YouTube, which I went down in
- 1:22:58Speaker 8: this rabbit hole yesterday a little bit.
- 1:22:59Speaker 7: Which is kind of my point about it, Like you
- 1:23:03Speaker 7: don't really know, yeah, because you don't care, Like I
- 1:23:07Speaker 7: care about that. I remember, you know, I was working
- 1:23:10Speaker 7: at the Herald at the time when we were part
- 1:23:11Speaker 7: of the coverage of that. Certainly you know, we're here
- 1:23:15Speaker 7: every day, so we care about this. But like if
- 1:23:17Speaker 7: they did it for Peyton Manning in Indianapolis, I wouldn't No,
- 1:23:22Speaker 7: I wouldn't care. I wouldn't want Wayne Gretzky.
- 1:23:24Speaker 5: I guess that Wayne.
- 1:23:26Speaker 7: I'm sure they've done things like that. I'm sure done
- 1:23:30Speaker 7: something I would think.
- 1:23:31Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm sure Jordan got something in Chicago.
- 1:23:34Speaker 7: But like you're not really aware of it because it
- 1:23:36Speaker 7: doesn't resonate. It's not a national story, right.
- 1:23:38Speaker 6: But I think that's what stands out about Tom is
- 1:23:40Speaker 6: that it could be a national story because he you know,
- 1:23:43Speaker 6: so many people were part of it. I mean you
- 1:23:45Speaker 6: had players from other teams. I mean it was I
- 1:23:47Speaker 6: know what stood out from Bird was magic, right, like
- 1:23:49Speaker 6: that was the big Oh yeah, but I was fantastic
- 1:23:51Speaker 6: that they got magic.
- 1:23:52Speaker 5: But you know, I think it did. It went further.
- 1:23:55Speaker 3: Let's see THEO rights in When I saw Mike at
- 1:23:59Speaker 3: the start of the stream, night was made. I'm a
- 1:24:01Speaker 3: huge fan of you, Mike. Great job last night, No
- 1:24:03Speaker 3: thank you.
- 1:24:04Speaker 8: Yeah, you only went with.
- 1:24:06Speaker 7: That crooked bow tie though, huh it was crooked.
- 1:24:08Speaker 5: I guess my mom told me that. She said real crooked,
- 1:24:10Speaker 5: and I wanted thing.
- 1:24:12Speaker 7: I gotta stop saying stuff because I'm like just like
- 1:24:18Speaker 7: randomly throwing bombs and having no idea they were actually
- 1:24:21Speaker 7: playing no.
- 1:24:22Speaker 6: Well, I mean, you know, in full disclosure, I was
- 1:24:24Speaker 6: playing hurt last night after taking.
- 1:24:27Speaker 5: A tumble down the stairs after.
- 1:24:29Speaker 7: Practice, so me and you weren't wearing your suit at
- 1:24:32Speaker 7: the time that I had really been a disaster.
- 1:24:34Speaker 6: I mean, honestly, we even Evan were walking down the
- 1:24:36Speaker 6: backstairs after practice, and it was a little.
- 1:24:38Speaker 5: Stressful getting my suit because there was all kinds of issues.
- 1:24:40Speaker 6: And so I'm like, tell you, was going through my
- 1:24:42Speaker 6: phone because I got to practice and I got a
- 1:24:44Speaker 6: bomb to debt and get this suit. Hopefully it's there
- 1:24:46Speaker 6: and so and I just stupid idiot, don't look at
- 1:24:49Speaker 6: your phone when you're walking down stairs, especially concrete ones.
- 1:24:52Speaker 5: And I just I think Alex's phrases ate pooh, and
- 1:24:55Speaker 5: just like laughed at me. He's like, I didn't know
- 1:24:57Speaker 5: what to do. I was gonna help you, and then
- 1:24:59Speaker 5: I just laughed at.
- 1:25:00Speaker 8: I saw it happening in slow motion, you know how
- 1:25:02Speaker 8: like I could see it after yeah oh yeah, yeah,
- 1:25:07Speaker 8: only down like a couple of stairs, but just two stairs.
- 1:25:09Speaker 7: But my left ankle, that wicked handsome.
- 1:25:12Speaker 6: Fell my left hand, my left ankle, I like stepped
- 1:25:15Speaker 6: with my left ankle and that curled under and then
- 1:25:17Speaker 6: I skinned my right knee.
- 1:25:19Speaker 5: So like last night while I'm trying to sleep, it's.
- 1:25:21Speaker 6: Like my knee stings and my ankle like anytime the
- 1:25:25Speaker 6: covers kind of pull my ankle the wrong way. So
- 1:25:27Speaker 6: and especially wearing like dress shoes the whole night I
- 1:25:30Speaker 6: got I got out of the dress shoes last night,
- 1:25:31Speaker 6: like oh my god, it hurt.
- 1:25:33Speaker 8: But you know what, you have that moment in your
- 1:25:35Speaker 8: head where it's like I could try to catch him,
- 1:25:38Speaker 8: but then he's probably gonna take me out.
- 1:25:40Speaker 7: With no sense of me going down to right. One
- 1:25:42Speaker 7: of us is gonna be okay, or I can't like
- 1:25:44Speaker 7: or I just laugh at him. I'm not gonna lie.
- 1:25:47Speaker 7: I would have been right next to him.
- 1:25:48Speaker 5: Oh no, no, I would have laughed to myself. It
- 1:25:50Speaker 5: didn't hurt so much.
- 1:25:52Speaker 3: So I like it when people fall in the press box.
- 1:25:55Speaker 3: You know, you don't see it, you're just hit.
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: Down.
- 1:26:00Speaker 3: Last year, I remember the best happened in the old
- 1:26:03Speaker 3: Foxboro press boxe right, and it was really steep, and
- 1:26:07Speaker 3: somebody did the full length.
- 1:26:08Speaker 7: Yeah, I don't remember that one.
- 1:26:11Speaker 5: Right down the stairs.
- 1:26:13Speaker 3: Long time scribe.
- 1:26:16Speaker 5: Bernie Adams there.
- 1:26:18Speaker 3: James Petty grew the most interesting Patriots fan in the world.
- 1:26:21Speaker 3: Says it may have been closure for many, but produce
- 1:26:23Speaker 3: it was the opening of old wounds.
- 1:26:27Speaker 5: Come on, let's go, we get it, we get it.
- 1:26:30Speaker 5: He was good, Okay, he's the goat.
- 1:26:31Speaker 7: All right, fine, how long are we going with this?
- 1:26:34Speaker 3: The show o'lock?
- 1:26:36Speaker 5: Oh deuce, Just give him his jacket, that's what would
- 1:26:38Speaker 5: Just give him the jacket.
- 1:26:39Speaker 8: That was another thing. For some reason, I forgot about
- 1:26:42Speaker 8: the jacket.
- 1:26:44Speaker 7: No waitabe, that's my favorite, my favorite, very serious very serious.
- 1:26:49Speaker 5: We got to put the jacket on. Like he's right
- 1:26:51Speaker 5: in there, like like no one else, no one else
- 1:26:55Speaker 5: the jackets and Tom Brady.
- 1:26:56Speaker 15: May has become you know, the guy with the feathered
- 1:26:59Speaker 15: hair with the stand. Yeah, wherever you see the cup,
- 1:27:02Speaker 15: you see this guy with the white see him.
- 1:27:04Speaker 3: That's Maury. And now that's like I'll be eighty years
- 1:27:06Speaker 3: old and he'll be bringing out the red jacket.
- 1:27:08Speaker 6: For The funny thing was we saw Maury at the
- 1:27:10Speaker 6: rehearsal of the night before, and uh, I forget who
- 1:27:13Speaker 6: was talking to him.
- 1:27:13Speaker 5: I was kind of on the outside and I mean
- 1:27:16Speaker 5: it wasn't you. I don't know who it was. But
- 1:27:19Speaker 5: he told the story again about the time he got
- 1:27:20Speaker 5: Paul to swear, and I was like, oh, that's funny.
- 1:27:22Speaker 5: I've heard the story. And then like later I went
- 1:27:24Speaker 5: out and we got caught again in a small talk conversation.
- 1:27:27Speaker 5: I was like, oh, that's great. You know you called in.
- 1:27:28Speaker 6: He's like, man, let me tell you about the time
- 1:27:30Speaker 6: I got Paul the square, and I'm like, I just
- 1:27:31Speaker 6: heard the story.
- 1:27:33Speaker 3: He loves that story.
- 1:27:35Speaker 7: Next time, I'm I'm gonna smack him. Get my name
- 1:27:39Speaker 7: out your mouth.
- 1:27:40Speaker 5: I love that he tells it though, because it's it's
- 1:27:41Speaker 5: so Paul.
- 1:27:42Speaker 9: I'm not saying you've done it.
- 1:27:43Speaker 3: You've made me swearing.
- 1:27:45Speaker 7: Garry was later the but I could give it to
- 1:27:48Speaker 7: you chapter and verse.
- 1:27:50Speaker 8: I could just hear it in my head of you
- 1:27:51Speaker 8: being like I so cannot wait till week sixteen.
- 1:27:56Speaker 5: That's it.
- 1:27:58Speaker 3: Brian and Salem, Oregon. Been watching for years. I loved
- 1:28:02Speaker 3: the show. At the end of the broadcast, Mike Arico
- 1:28:04Speaker 3: mentioned there were two more pieces of business, but the
- 1:28:06Speaker 3: feed stop. Can you please explain what they were? Yeah,
- 1:28:10Speaker 3: it was Bono with a shout out, and like I said,
- 1:28:14Speaker 3: you didn't miss much. But we couldn't recray it because
- 1:28:17Speaker 3: Bono didn't want it out there. You know, it's like
- 1:28:20Speaker 3: just people with phones, it's gonna be out there.
- 1:28:22Speaker 7: And they played you know, it's a beautiful day. It
- 1:28:25Speaker 7: wasn't a lot. Bono wasn't that I didn't perform. That's
- 1:28:30Speaker 7: but that's sort of. It wasn't the music it was
- 1:28:34Speaker 7: and then too called all of the Hall of Famers
- 1:28:37Speaker 7: up onto the stage.
- 1:28:38Speaker 8: That was That was it.
- 1:28:40Speaker 3: So you didn't miss much. Dan and Virginia in Michigan.
- 1:28:44Speaker 3: The more I hear Paul talk about Brady's Knight, the
- 1:28:46Speaker 3: more I'm wishing that he had gotten together with Deuce
- 1:28:48Speaker 3: and developed the theme song to the evening Bret Brady's Night,
- 1:28:52Speaker 3: but sung to the tune of Ladies Night.
- 1:28:56Speaker 7: They had one on the Sports Hub. It's really bad.
- 1:28:58Speaker 3: With all the lad Miller cousin, with all the lessons
- 1:29:01Speaker 3: Deuce learned from, I won't forget you, Brady. I'm sure
- 1:29:04Speaker 3: it would have been a smash hit. Great to hear
- 1:29:07Speaker 3: that we are going to get video of the whole
- 1:29:08Speaker 3: thing right now some tryhard sports media wanna be in
- 1:29:12Speaker 3: Pittsburgh is the only entity with anything approaching the whole
- 1:29:16Speaker 3: video online? Please for it. I don't want my experience
- 1:29:19Speaker 3: of Brady Night ruin by some Steeler wiener cutting off
- 1:29:22Speaker 3: the end of it to offer his own insights.
- 1:29:26Speaker 8: Can we send that person a seasoned.
- 1:29:30Speaker 3: Probably, but let's regard that.
- 1:29:32Speaker 8: I believe.
- 1:29:32Speaker 3: Let's just get our own up there.
- 1:29:35Speaker 5: Let me offer my analysis of the Tom Brady.
- 1:29:38Speaker 8: Steel Because Ben roethlisberners one to beat us.
- 1:29:42Speaker 5: In two AFC championships at home.
- 1:29:43Speaker 9: That was tough.
- 1:29:44Speaker 7: Then I cornered.
- 1:29:48Speaker 3: Let's see Ben from Long Long Island, right Zin, My wife, brother, sister,
- 1:29:54Speaker 3: and I attended the ceremony last night. Let me tell you,
- 1:29:57Speaker 3: as a Patriots fan, that is something I'll never forget.
- 1:30:00Speaker 3: The emotion from the players made you realize these guys
- 1:30:03Speaker 3: are just as human as the rest of us. We
- 1:30:06Speaker 3: were in section three oh six, and to hear the
- 1:30:08Speaker 3: applause for Randy and Belichick was really something else. I
- 1:30:12Speaker 3: loved how Brady said, it wasn't you, wasn't me, it
- 1:30:15Speaker 3: was us. I was also extremely impressed by how well
- 1:30:18Speaker 3: Brady spoke presidential, like you could feel how genuinely thankful
- 1:30:23Speaker 3: he was. Twenty years of childhood memories all tied together
- 1:30:26Speaker 3: in one night. And besides you, Brady, he's doing well.
- 1:30:30Speaker 3: And I can tell you Brady, Gronk and Edelman it's
- 1:30:32Speaker 3: clear they're they're getting some media coaching these days, you know.
- 1:30:37Speaker 3: I think they're working at it.
- 1:30:38Speaker 5: I thought Brady looked presidential too when.
- 1:30:41Speaker 7: He stepped out on the red carpet.
- 1:30:44Speaker 8: He looked damn good in that red caet.
- 1:30:45Speaker 15: I'll tell you, like on the red carpet, if you
- 1:30:47Speaker 15: had to say whose night is this and you didn't
- 1:30:50Speaker 15: know anything about Brady or football.
- 1:30:51Speaker 3: You'd say that guy, that guy right there, that's what's.
- 1:30:54Speaker 7: The big deal, what's going on? Oh, that guy's probably
- 1:30:56Speaker 7: being a right right, Yeah, we should do a Brian
- 1:30:59Speaker 7: more update. By the way, they lost in heart Bridge,
- 1:31:02Speaker 7: and yeah, they really.
- 1:31:05Speaker 10: Did.
- 1:31:05Speaker 7: They beat that.
- 1:31:07Speaker 9: One.
- 1:31:07Speaker 7: Nothing the bottom of the eight couldn't get.
- 1:31:10Speaker 3: And they had bases loaded twice.
- 1:31:12Speaker 7: They left eight guys on base in the eight innings.
- 1:31:15Speaker 5: Things you can remember that one wake up.
- 1:31:17Speaker 7: He said, they actually did a reasonable job of getting
- 1:31:20Speaker 7: some traffic, you know, with that ace pitcher out there,
- 1:31:23Speaker 7: and his pitcher pitched great, and then they came out
- 1:31:26Speaker 7: of the game, both starters came out of the game, and.
- 1:31:29Speaker 5: That we all have those games. We all have those
- 1:31:31Speaker 5: games in the high school.
- 1:31:33Speaker 7: He came in the night of the rehearsal. He came
- 1:31:35Speaker 7: in and I said, I'm really sorry, And of course
- 1:31:38Speaker 7: I then got chapter in reverse of the last three innings.
- 1:31:41Speaker 7: But in fairness to Brian, I was interested in it.
- 1:31:44Speaker 11: I was, I was.
- 1:31:45Speaker 7: I was genuinely interested in it.
- 1:31:47Speaker 8: So we were all invested.
- 1:31:49Speaker 7: And it wasn't like, you know, someone scored a goal
- 1:31:52Speaker 7: lacrosse as an example.
- 1:31:55Speaker 5: Or or or got in with his knee brace.
- 1:32:00Speaker 8: She just went right there, you go too far. I
- 1:32:03Speaker 8: was big shout out to U. Need them Rockets in
- 1:32:07Speaker 8: the state championship. Do you want state championship against St.
- 1:32:10Speaker 8: John's Prep?
- 1:32:11Speaker 10: Ye?
- 1:32:11Speaker 8: Who beat beat might need him Rockets in the state
- 1:32:14Speaker 8: semi finals my senior year, so we know all about
- 1:32:17Speaker 8: losing one.
- 1:32:19Speaker 7: Do you want a chance they could beat them? Because
- 1:32:20Speaker 7: I always I don't know a ton honestly, but I
- 1:32:25Speaker 7: think I think the Prep.
- 1:32:26Speaker 3: Is it's midfield Division two because.
- 1:32:28Speaker 5: They were I think they're in the state championship to
- 1:32:31Speaker 5: I think is Duxbury still good?
- 1:32:33Speaker 8: Yeah, they're in D two now. Yeah, because all got realigned, I.
- 1:32:37Speaker 5: Might be ry midfield I think might beat them.
- 1:32:39Speaker 8: Yeah, So I don't know where to take You got
- 1:32:43Speaker 8: to find that out, but yeah, need them prep for
- 1:32:45Speaker 8: the state title on Friday night?
- 1:32:47Speaker 5: Rocket where they need them?
- 1:32:49Speaker 7: St John's Prepp need them against Prep Rocket power you're
- 1:32:54Speaker 7: gonna go.
- 1:32:56Speaker 8: I was considering it actually, and if it was sometimes
- 1:33:00Speaker 8: they played at Harvard Stadium, That's where we played the
- 1:33:02Speaker 8: state semifinals. But I don't think they do that anymore,
- 1:33:06Speaker 8: and so it's gonna be something.
- 1:33:09Speaker 3: Yeah, mascot changed everything. Let's see bread Brandon Wrights in
- 1:33:17Speaker 3: Brady Knight was awesome with that being said, how do
- 1:33:20Speaker 3: y'all feel about Belichick's speech? Did y'all find it odd
- 1:33:24Speaker 3: that he purposely left out coach Mayo when naming all
- 1:33:26Speaker 3: the great defensive players, And when he went to name O'Brien,
- 1:33:30Speaker 3: he said, and now the new head coach of the
- 1:33:32Speaker 3: Boston College. He smirked after it. It just seemed like
- 1:33:35Speaker 3: Bill took a couple of shots during his speech.
- 1:33:38Speaker 7: That was not a shot at Billy.
- 1:33:39Speaker 10: Oh.
- 1:33:39Speaker 7: That was a tribute to Bill Oh.
- 1:33:41Speaker 3: Yeah, it wasn't a shot at Billy.
- 1:33:42Speaker 6: I mean, he highlighted very few players, and I would
- 1:33:45Speaker 6: just say, well, which play would you like him to
- 1:33:47Speaker 6: highlight at Jerrob Mayos that he made Wow, this whole
- 1:33:51Speaker 6: like Dante High Tower, Dante High Tower, right like he
- 1:33:54Speaker 6: highlighted him.
- 1:33:55Speaker 5: I can give you a couple of plays like No,
- 1:33:56Speaker 5: I mean.
- 1:33:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I didn't. I didn't see the place where Mayo
- 1:34:02Speaker 3: would have been inserted. And I do see why O'Brien
- 1:34:06Speaker 3: was included, because he was all the offense.
- 1:34:08Speaker 7: Every offensive coordinator, and ended with Billy Oh, the new
- 1:34:11Speaker 7: head coach of Boston College. I thought he did that
- 1:34:14Speaker 7: in a very complimentary.
- 1:34:15Speaker 8: Fashion, especially in a foil of stadium of Boston people.
- 1:34:19Speaker 3: But he said it like I would have said it
- 1:34:21Speaker 3: the Boston College. Yeah.
- 1:34:23Speaker 8: The fact that I didn't notice that only the Eagles,
- 1:34:26Speaker 8: this stupid non Gerad Mayo mentioned is a is a
- 1:34:29Speaker 8: storyline is so annoying.
- 1:34:31Speaker 7: It's only a storyline because he's the current coach. Because
- 1:34:35Speaker 7: to deuce his point, he I mean, I know he
- 1:34:38Speaker 7: technically was on the team right for the fourteen team,
- 1:34:41Speaker 7: but he didn't have any role on it.
- 1:34:43Speaker 3: He was hurt.
- 1:34:44Speaker 5: He was hurt by the end.
- 1:34:45Speaker 7: So the other guys that he's mentioned, I mean, I
- 1:34:48Speaker 7: guess mentioned to leib right, Yeah, so, I mean, I
- 1:34:53Speaker 7: don't know.
- 1:34:53Speaker 5: Playing history though, I think it's nitpicking.
- 1:34:56Speaker 3: Do you think that like if you were, you know, returning,
- 1:35:01Speaker 3: you would have said something like, hey, I just want
- 1:35:03Speaker 3: to wish good luck to dry mal first.
- 1:35:06Speaker 6: I think that's fair. I think that's fair. I don't
- 1:35:07Speaker 6: think that it was like necessarily he should have been
- 1:35:09Speaker 6: mentioned with those players. But I as I I would
- 1:35:12Speaker 6: have been okay with just a little head. I mean
- 1:35:14Speaker 6: it would have driven it would have driven the Billbows crazy.
- 1:35:17Speaker 5: Oh yeah, you know if he had given a little tip.
- 1:35:18Speaker 3: Of the count. But no, people who lost their mind.
- 1:35:23Speaker 3: Andre in New Jersey. Absolutely fantastic night, well put together.
- 1:35:28Speaker 3: For the only problem was the stream suddenly ended. I
- 1:35:31Speaker 3: explain why that was Bono. Blame Bono. Let's see he's
- 1:35:38Speaker 3: wondering why. I never you know, No, the cameraman didn't
- 1:35:41Speaker 3: have to be traffic. Also, never watched a six ring podcast,
- 1:35:45Speaker 3: but that guy fits. He sure talks a lot. I
- 1:35:48Speaker 3: worried if Deuce would ever get into word again. But
- 1:35:51Speaker 3: love the way Brady's teammates talked about him, the embrace
- 1:35:54Speaker 3: between him and Belichick, which by the way, should get
- 1:35:57Speaker 3: a statue at the same time together. But that's either
- 1:35:59Speaker 3: not here or there. Even though Brady never got choked up.
- 1:36:04Speaker 3: I think he did, Brady, but I especially like seeing
- 1:36:07Speaker 3: Brandy Moss in the way he felt about his QB
- 1:36:10Speaker 3: and his organization.
- 1:36:12Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:36:12Speaker 8: Yeah, Brady was crying the whole night.
- 1:36:14Speaker 6: I know, I know, he should have just let it
- 1:36:16Speaker 6: all out right at the beginning, just a good SOB
- 1:36:18Speaker 6: like for a minute, Brady.
- 1:36:22Speaker 7: I mean, there were several times he had to stop
- 1:36:23Speaker 7: to compose him.
- 1:36:24Speaker 5: There was three in the first like five minutes. I
- 1:36:26Speaker 5: was like, holy crowd, this gonna be a long night.
- 1:36:28Speaker 5: Crying left and right.
- 1:36:29Speaker 3: Yeh, Anthony in Connecticut. Amazing night. It was just about
- 1:36:34Speaker 3: everything that I could have hoped for, truly once in
- 1:36:36Speaker 3: a lifetime experience. My only comment, if I may, was
- 1:36:40Speaker 3: that we didn't get to see the statue last night.
- 1:36:43Speaker 3: As someone in his mid twenties, the Patriot's Dynasty was
- 1:36:46Speaker 3: my childhood and this really put a bow on that.
- 1:36:48Speaker 3: I'll always reminisce. But this was a great closing moment.
- 1:36:52Speaker 3: My question for the group would be what was your
- 1:36:54Speaker 3: favorite moment from the night? Mine definitely had to be
- 1:36:58Speaker 3: the tremendous ovation for Bill and Andy.
- 1:37:01Speaker 5: Well that's two moments, yeah, Because I mean, no one
- 1:37:05Speaker 5: saw the statue.
- 1:37:07Speaker 3: The statue was.
- 1:37:08Speaker 7: Too closely involved in the production of this, and you
- 1:37:11Speaker 7: can't really take any criticism.
- 1:37:13Speaker 8: And his panels are not on the top of them
- 1:37:16Speaker 8: with the statue always going upstairs.
- 1:37:18Speaker 3: With like I mean, I think it would have been
- 1:37:22Speaker 3: my panel. You don't want them to show a picture
- 1:37:23Speaker 3: of the statue because they're going to have an unveiling.
- 1:37:25Speaker 5: Right, got to drag this.
- 1:37:28Speaker 7: I think he's saying that he thought it should have coincided. Yeah,
- 1:37:30Speaker 7: I mean, I might be reading too much into that,
- 1:37:33Speaker 7: but I kind of feel the same way everything.
- 1:37:35Speaker 3: Should have been that night.
- 1:37:36Speaker 7: I wouldn't it have been cool if they had it already,
- 1:37:40Speaker 7: and I assume it's going to be somewhere on the plaza.
- 1:37:42Speaker 3: Yeah, and they wheeled it out. It's on the Big Boy.
- 1:37:44Speaker 7: So now you have the event going on. Yeah, so
- 1:37:47Speaker 7: now so there's no attention out there. There's nobody really
- 1:37:50Speaker 7: in the plaza while the events going on, not a
- 1:37:52Speaker 7: lot of people anyway. And then you get it all
- 1:37:54Speaker 7: ready and you have cameras out there, and then Robert
- 1:37:57Speaker 7: goes for the cheap back and this is what you
- 1:38:00Speaker 7: will see the next time you entered the play, and
- 1:38:02Speaker 7: then they unveil it. That would have been pretty cool.
- 1:38:04Speaker 8: It would have been cool. But as somebody that was
- 1:38:06Speaker 8: in that plaza afterwards, if the statue had already been
- 1:38:10Speaker 8: out there, none of us would have ever gotten home
- 1:38:12Speaker 8: because the crowd.
- 1:38:14Speaker 7: It was an hour about an hour ride down one.
- 1:38:17Speaker 3: I just don't think they could have done it that quick.
- 1:38:19Speaker 3: You know the shortage of bronze because of COVID.
- 1:38:21Speaker 5: Yeah, oh, you can mask up the statue. I I
- 1:38:26Speaker 5: would say, though, I go back to the question. I
- 1:38:28Speaker 5: think it was Moss.
- 1:38:28Speaker 6: I mean, I really thought it was cool with what
- 1:38:30Speaker 6: they did for Belichick butt and I expected that, though
- 1:38:33Speaker 6: I think Moss was so unexpected to me that he
- 1:38:35Speaker 6: got so emotional and then it just continued to crescendo.
- 1:38:39Speaker 5: That that was the moment for me.
- 1:38:40Speaker 3: Yeah, that was That was the moment for me too. Yeah,
- 1:38:44Speaker 3: You're totally unexpected. And I remember the other big organic
- 1:38:48Speaker 3: moment for this organization was also Randy Moss during that game,
- 1:38:51Speaker 3: when that person in the stands had the Moss mass
- 1:38:54Speaker 3: and he was interacting with him from the bench like
- 1:38:57Speaker 3: you never see that at a Patriots game, you know.
- 1:39:00Speaker 5: Yep, that was cool.
- 1:39:01Speaker 7: A lot of people had the Randy moment at the top.
- 1:39:05Speaker 5: I think, to Avan's point, it was it was organic.
- 1:39:07Speaker 5: You know, you couldn't.
- 1:39:07Speaker 6: I mean in my head when I was like, here
- 1:39:09Speaker 6: comes Bill, especially when Dion was building it up, I
- 1:39:11Speaker 6: was like this place about the go nuts.
- 1:39:13Speaker 7: You know, but I did not expect that. I knew
- 1:39:17Speaker 7: that Dion was introducing Bill, but I didn't expect the
- 1:39:21Speaker 7: the dynamic way he did it, and the explosion that
- 1:39:25Speaker 7: just never seemed to end.
- 1:39:26Speaker 6: I saw Amanda was backstage, she posted, you know, some
- 1:39:30Speaker 6: pictures of him, and saw that It's pretty cool.
- 1:39:32Speaker 3: I saw that Uh, Tony in Potton, UK, love the show.
- 1:39:37Speaker 3: Listen live when I can. Okay. He wants to know
- 1:39:41Speaker 3: if there's any way we can buy Hall of Fame merchandise.
- 1:39:47Speaker 3: Uh TV twelve Hall of Fame merchandise.
- 1:39:49Speaker 7: I think if I might be able to get you
- 1:39:51Speaker 7: a couple in the black Mark.
- 1:39:52Speaker 3: No, no idea. I don't go to Fanatics because they've
- 1:39:55Speaker 3: got all this stuff and I don't know. I knew
- 1:39:56Speaker 3: they had that T shirt that you're wearing.
- 1:39:58Speaker 5: This was the T shirt that that they gave out
- 1:40:01Speaker 5: last night.
- 1:40:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I think you can buy that in the pro Shop.
- 1:40:04Speaker 3: But maybe go to Fanatics and check out the Patriots section.
- 1:40:08Speaker 3: Maybe they put them up there. I don't know, or
- 1:40:12Speaker 3: visit here. Speaking of suits, Joe says, is it just
- 1:40:16Speaker 3: me or does Gronk only own one suit? Perhaps he
- 1:40:19Speaker 3: should start dipping into a salary earning.
- 1:40:21Speaker 5: He's got He's gonna got one pair of sunglasses too.
- 1:40:23Speaker 3: I think he looked like Mary Seinfeld with those glasses.
- 1:40:30Speaker 5: That's good, that's good.
- 1:40:34Speaker 3: John writes, the first off, Brady Knight was amazing, But
- 1:40:37Speaker 3: I have a question about how some of the NFL
- 1:40:39Speaker 3: players look at Brady when they talk about his talent.
- 1:40:43Speaker 3: I always hear Brady is the goat, but when it
- 1:40:45Speaker 3: comes to talent, insert player, this player is more talented,
- 1:40:48Speaker 3: and that it was Brady's will that made him. But
- 1:40:51Speaker 3: I mean, Brady's arm talent was second to none, or
- 1:40:54Speaker 3: as Evan would say, had all the clubs in his
- 1:40:56Speaker 3: golf bag. I mean, am I wrong? Help me out here?
- 1:41:00Speaker 7: Brady's arm was second to none?
- 1:41:02Speaker 5: Well, it is it just that, you know, go watch
- 1:41:04Speaker 5: the Josh McDaniels video.
- 1:41:06Speaker 7: His arm was was certainly more than good enough. There
- 1:41:10Speaker 7: are plenty of guys that through.
- 1:41:11Speaker 3: The Yeah, I mean we've talked about if you look
- 1:41:14Speaker 3: at pure talent, Brady was not the most talented quarterback.
- 1:41:19Speaker 6: The video Paul and I did with Josh that I
- 1:41:21Speaker 6: think that illustrates his capacity. And I mean he said
- 1:41:25Speaker 6: it last night, it's you know, between the ears, that's
- 1:41:28Speaker 6: where that's you know, that is what's separated, and and
- 1:41:31Speaker 6: knowing instantly what the defense was going to do, where
- 1:41:34Speaker 6: he was going to go with the ball, and just footwork,
- 1:41:38Speaker 6: everything in sync, right where it needs to go, everything
- 1:41:41Speaker 6: flawless mechanically, and ball delivered exactly where it needed to
- 1:41:44Speaker 6: be on time.
- 1:41:46Speaker 7: It's such a subjective thing that you could never quantify.
- 1:41:48Speaker 7: But if you said that every aptitude and work ethic
- 1:41:54Speaker 7: trait that Tom has, if you put in John Elway
- 1:41:58Speaker 7: or like the and Marino, those guys would have been
- 1:42:02Speaker 7: better because they had a better physical skill set. They
- 1:42:06Speaker 7: just didn't have what Tom had upstairs.
- 1:42:09Speaker 3: I mean even Aaron Rodgers.
- 1:42:10Speaker 7: I mean, now, Brady had a physical skill set that
- 1:42:13Speaker 7: was more than good enough, but it's not at the
- 1:42:16Speaker 7: like that l Way level. I don't think anybody had it.
- 1:42:19Speaker 7: I would say the same from Montana, by the way,
- 1:42:21Speaker 7: Montana didn't have the physical skills that Marino had, right.
- 1:42:24Speaker 8: I think Brady though, is definitely the most mechanically sound
- 1:42:28Speaker 8: thrower I've ever seen from.
- 1:42:31Speaker 7: Just seeing Mike and I like just stopping in the
- 1:42:33Speaker 7: middle of those McDaniel's things, like that's a statue.
- 1:42:36Speaker 8: That's the statue, Like it's perfect, the mechanical every time.
- 1:42:40Speaker 8: The mechanical chain, as we talk about so much with
- 1:42:43Speaker 8: Drake may from the ground up is teach tape for
- 1:42:47Speaker 8: every single young quarterback ever, and that was that's big
- 1:42:53Speaker 8: for him. And I also think for him he throws.
- 1:42:55Speaker 8: He threw such a catchable ball, which I think is
- 1:42:58Speaker 8: really underrated where it was always had their exact amount
- 1:43:03Speaker 8: of touch on it that it needed so that it
- 1:43:05Speaker 8: wasn't a really difficult catch to make for the receiver.
- 1:43:09Speaker 8: Even if he had to fit it into a key hole,
- 1:43:11Speaker 8: he was still able to put it in a spot
- 1:43:14Speaker 8: and to throw it with the touch that a guy
- 1:43:16Speaker 8: could could still realistically catch it.
- 1:43:19Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:43:20Speaker 6: So, but I think even more than like what made
- 1:43:22Speaker 6: him the goat, and I'll compare him to Bill was
- 1:43:24Speaker 6: that he had, you know, all the mechanical stuff that
- 1:43:26Speaker 6: Evan's talking about, but he also had the ability to
- 1:43:29Speaker 6: hold guys accountable and to raise player guys.
- 1:43:32Speaker 12: You know.
- 1:43:32Speaker 5: I just again, I love what Goronk had to say,
- 1:43:34Speaker 5: which was the same.
- 1:43:35Speaker 6: With Bill, Like he had all the knowledge, but he
- 1:43:38Speaker 6: was able to translate it as well to the team
- 1:43:40Speaker 6: and make it, you know, a tangible thing that you know,
- 1:43:42Speaker 6: like Fourier said talking about the motivational speech that he
- 1:43:46Speaker 6: gave before Super Bowl thirty eight, and you know, not,
- 1:43:49Speaker 6: you know, not Bill known to be this raw rock
- 1:43:51Speaker 6: kind of guy, but the ability to lay it out
- 1:43:53Speaker 6: and get guys ready to you know, get adult tough
- 1:43:56Speaker 6: guys to want to play hard, special talent just go
- 1:44:00Speaker 6: play to.
- 1:44:01Speaker 3: Tell you just do your job, Travis and Baltimore. I
- 1:44:04Speaker 3: just wanted to sing the praises of the team for
- 1:44:06Speaker 3: the effort put forth last night. I'm not one to
- 1:44:09Speaker 3: watch webcast often, but I was glued to my screen
- 1:44:11Speaker 3: for the entirety of the of the night. All members
- 1:44:15Speaker 3: of the team who had a hand in last night,
- 1:44:17Speaker 3: Mike helping host, Tamara being on the red carpet, and
- 1:44:21Speaker 3: everyone behind the scenes planning and preparing should take a bow.
- 1:44:24Speaker 3: It was an amazing night as a fan. Also go Celtics,
- 1:44:27Speaker 3: both in and out of the stadium.
- 1:44:30Speaker 6: You know, it was another funny kind of moment. Alex
- 1:44:32Speaker 6: Guerrero do you think that was coming? Brady thanked him.
- 1:44:33Speaker 6: It was kind of like a weird response from the
- 1:44:36Speaker 6: fans a little bit.
- 1:44:37Speaker 5: Yeah, I kind of felt like.
- 1:44:39Speaker 7: They wanted to booth it. I did too.
- 1:44:41Speaker 5: I did too. It was like I'll go, but I
- 1:44:45Speaker 5: did not, and that Yoko wasn't there. But that felt
- 1:44:47Speaker 5: like that's why Tom.
- 1:44:48Speaker 7: Was like this money maker right here, Yeah, the one
- 1:44:52Speaker 7: that drove the wedge between Building and Toms for real.
- 1:44:56Speaker 3: Eric writes in uh, since Evan is a fan of
- 1:44:59Speaker 3: the office, Mike falling reminds me of when Michael fell
- 1:45:02Speaker 3: in the coy pond and Jim just watched. Also, Evan
- 1:45:06Speaker 3: is right, Pam's a villain.
- 1:45:07Speaker 7: I was gonna say, was.
- 1:45:07Speaker 8: Pam throwing rocks at him, saying, Pam jess and I rewatch,
- 1:45:13Speaker 8: I'm rewatching. She's watching for the first time. And Pam
- 1:45:16Speaker 8: just got into art school. So and there's Jim, her
- 1:45:21Speaker 8: biggest fan. Evan storms out of the room.
- 1:45:23Speaker 5: I can't even.
- 1:45:26Speaker 8: Do your graphics.
- 1:45:27Speaker 3: And other people thinking that Bill took some subtle swipes
- 1:45:32Speaker 3: last night. Of course, when he was listening to coaches
- 1:45:34Speaker 3: and he said, and the new head coach. He gave
- 1:45:36Speaker 3: a pause, and then he said, Bill O'Brien at Boston College.
- 1:45:40Speaker 3: It seems like one of those classic Bill read between
- 1:45:44Speaker 3: the line deals.
- 1:45:45Speaker 7: If you want to tell me that it was intentionally
- 1:45:47Speaker 7: left Mayo out, I could hear that argument. Yeah, I don't. Necessarily,
- 1:45:50Speaker 7: I didn't take it that way. I'm with Evan. I
- 1:45:52Speaker 7: think that's a nitpick Mayo. That's not it. He did
- 1:45:55Speaker 7: that special for Bill O'Brien. I think he said it
- 1:45:58Speaker 7: that way on purpose about the new head coach at
- 1:46:03Speaker 7: Boston College. Like I think that's I think he did
- 1:46:05Speaker 7: that exactly for Bill O'Brien, not as a swipe the
- 1:46:09Speaker 7: Boston College.
- 1:46:10Speaker 3: I don't but but but you have to admit just
- 1:46:14Speaker 3: being honest. When I heard him say and the new
- 1:46:16Speaker 3: head coach, and he did pause a little bit, is
- 1:46:19Speaker 3: he gonna say mail? And he said, and he said, oh, okay,
- 1:46:22Speaker 3: Well that makes sense if.
- 1:46:23Speaker 7: He thought you weren't paying attention to the center, like
- 1:46:28Speaker 7: he's talking about all the office, because I was actually thinking,
- 1:46:31Speaker 7: you know, he's talking about Charlie Weiss and Josh and
- 1:46:34Speaker 7: I'm like, he's gonna he's gonna include Billy, oh right,
- 1:46:37Speaker 7: And then he did.
- 1:46:38Speaker 3: You know, but he also says he does things like
- 1:46:41Speaker 3: that when he when he says your great weapon on
- 1:46:44Speaker 3: your team is your punter, it's actually means of actually
- 1:46:46Speaker 3: saying your team sucks.
- 1:46:47Speaker 5: That is a shot like this did and he get
- 1:46:50Speaker 5: any time with devil last night was able to him.
- 1:46:53Speaker 7: He did not. I was laughing when he was on
- 1:46:55Speaker 7: the on the stream there for the red carpet. Someone
- 1:46:59Speaker 7: was like full back that I think it might have
- 1:47:01Speaker 7: been me.
- 1:47:01Speaker 8: Maybe maybe it's naive of me with Bill and all
- 1:47:04Speaker 8: of this, but I really just feel like last night
- 1:47:06Speaker 8: was not the night for them to be that Caddy,
- 1:47:11Speaker 8: what pet Caddie and Petty, But like also that direct
- 1:47:15Speaker 8: about it, you know, like that on purpose about these things.
- 1:47:18Speaker 7: I just don't feel like that was the forum for it.
- 1:47:21Speaker 7: But you guys know me, like I read crap into
- 1:47:23Speaker 7: a lot of stuff, and sometimes I'm right. Most of
- 1:47:26Speaker 7: the time I'm not. I didn't read anything into this.
- 1:47:29Speaker 7: Now again, I can hear the argument that him leaving
- 1:47:31Speaker 7: out Mayo was intentional. You can convince me of that.
- 1:47:35Speaker 7: I didn't take it that way. I didn't.
- 1:47:37Speaker 3: Also, he never mentioned Robert Kraft, but nope, I didn't.
- 1:47:40Speaker 5: I cut that too.
- 1:47:42Speaker 7: Yep, Hello Mariene, Hello everyone.
- 1:47:46Speaker 3: All the festivities last night were great. Big thanks to
- 1:47:49Speaker 3: Douce and FITZI for the pre show and all the
- 1:47:51Speaker 3: team behind the scenes who put it together from the
- 1:47:53Speaker 3: beginning of the year and those panels.
- 1:47:54Speaker 8: Don't forget about the panels.
- 1:47:56Speaker 3: It was definitely something that makes me proud to be
- 1:47:58Speaker 3: able to say I'm a Patriots fan. It was magic.
- 1:48:01Speaker 3: Huge thank you and Bravo PS thank you to Paul
- 1:48:04Speaker 3: for doing my show today.
- 1:48:05Speaker 7: You did it again, Paul, Yeah, fifth time you get
- 1:48:08Speaker 7: the Five Tiers Club. Five Timers club. You get like
- 1:48:10Speaker 7: a jacket for that or something. I don't know, Claire,
- 1:48:12Speaker 7: what do I get for that? Besides having any named
- 1:48:14Speaker 7: pizzas after the quarterbacks you like.
- 1:48:17Speaker 3: Bill Murray on Saturday Night Live or Alec Baldwin whoever.
- 1:48:20Speaker 5: That's sounded a million times.
- 1:48:21Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, yeah, John Goodman.
- 1:48:25Speaker 3: Yeah, Raig wants to know where he can get Deuce
- 1:48:28Speaker 3: his T shirt as well.
- 1:48:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:48:29Speaker 7: I don't think they're available.
- 1:48:30Speaker 3: We used to be able to call Ken Flanders and
- 1:48:33Speaker 3: Flanders and find out from what's going on in the pro.
- 1:48:36Speaker 7: Shop Flanders, here's the only useless person in here.
- 1:48:39Speaker 8: Yeah, okay, I remember we used to play.
- 1:48:42Speaker 7: Drops on this show.
- 1:48:45Speaker 3: Wow Wow, Tyler and Georgia. With all of the reflection
- 1:48:50Speaker 3: on the Patriots dynasty as it officially has come to
- 1:48:52Speaker 3: a close, are there any plans to re release the
- 1:48:56Speaker 3: all the three games to Glory in an upscale four
- 1:48:59Speaker 3: K box set? Boy?
- 1:49:00Speaker 5: Oh, money maker, there you go.
- 1:49:02Speaker 7: I'm going to say no, no, no, they're going to
- 1:49:05Speaker 7: spend money in doing that.
- 1:49:07Speaker 8: I would.
- 1:49:08Speaker 5: I'm going to make money to make money, right.
- 1:49:10Speaker 7: I don't think you're making a lot of money.
- 1:49:12Speaker 3: Do people buy DVDs anymore?
- 1:49:14Speaker 5: Now?
- 1:49:14Speaker 8: But I still have all of them.
- 1:49:15Speaker 5: I have all of them too.
- 1:49:16Speaker 7: I have all of them as well.
- 1:49:17Speaker 3: Yeah, but when you come with your rings, do you
- 1:49:20Speaker 3: have a thing to play it in?
- 1:49:21Speaker 7: Okay, so would you buy a good question? Thank you,
- 1:49:25Speaker 7: Fred Kurse. I'm the guy who's ahead of the game
- 1:49:28Speaker 7: in technology, right, that can't happen.
- 1:49:31Speaker 6: I think the first three games the Glory, which I
- 1:49:34Speaker 6: have on DVD, that like, that's like old school TV.
- 1:49:36Speaker 5: I mean that's like early DVD right, like kind of.
- 1:49:38Speaker 3: I mean, I will say on ESPN did a cool
- 1:49:42Speaker 3: thing and it was probably five five years ago. They
- 1:49:46Speaker 3: did all the thirty the thirties, and they issued him
- 1:49:48Speaker 3: in a box set. But the box was a locker,
- 1:49:51Speaker 3: a metal locker, and you open up the door and
- 1:49:54Speaker 3: the DVDs are in there.
- 1:49:56Speaker 5: It could be like a six super Bowl trophy kind
- 1:49:58Speaker 5: of thing, and each one.
- 1:49:59Speaker 3: Is so like is a keepsake more than it was
- 1:50:01Speaker 3: actually the DVDs.
- 1:50:03Speaker 6: It's not to buy DVDs though, Did you guys fire
- 1:50:04Speaker 6: up your DVD player very often anymore?
- 1:50:06Speaker 8: No?
- 1:50:07Speaker 3: I don't have one.
- 1:50:07Speaker 5: I don't even have one. Yeah, I still have one.
- 1:50:10Speaker 5: It's like just kind of kicking there, but I don't.
- 1:50:11Speaker 5: It doesn't do much. I wish I did though, the old.
- 1:50:17Speaker 7: The old Holy Crosses.
- 1:50:24Speaker 8: Check out my highlights related but also not uh the
- 1:50:28Speaker 8: Patriots Hall of Fame video that they show at the
- 1:50:32Speaker 8: actual Hall of Fame. That could use up.
- 1:50:35Speaker 3: Yeah that's all dated.
- 1:50:36Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, that's good.
- 1:50:38Speaker 7: Now God's gift to museums. You gotta get on that.
- 1:50:41Speaker 8: Well, well, now that he's in the Hall of Fame,
- 1:50:44Speaker 8: then jumping off point to maybe make it a little
- 1:50:48Speaker 8: bit better.
- 1:50:48Speaker 5: I like that.
- 1:50:49Speaker 11: I like that.
- 1:50:49Speaker 9: I like when I make.
- 1:50:53Speaker 3: He just I just pictured him coming out with the jacket.
- 1:50:58Speaker 5: Very serious.
- 1:50:59Speaker 7: It was like that couldn't have that couldn't have been
- 1:51:02Speaker 7: done any different way.
- 1:51:06Speaker 5: He had something to tell he had something to tell
- 1:51:08Speaker 5: Tom to like, so when they come out, you just
- 1:51:10Speaker 5: make sure that you put your right Like what is
- 1:51:12Speaker 5: he talking about?
- 1:51:13Speaker 3: He's put the jackets becoming a character.
- 1:51:15Speaker 15: Oh it's that guy with the red jacket, Like we
- 1:51:18Speaker 15: know who he is, but people like, who is this guy?
- 1:51:21Speaker 15: Like he just like I could just see people like
- 1:51:24Speaker 15: why him bringing the jacket? I love you, you know,
- 1:51:27Speaker 15: why not like another red coat bringing it so right?
- 1:51:30Speaker 7: Like he came out like you know, like he's not
- 1:51:33Speaker 7: gonna know to get his iron be on it. It's
- 1:51:35Speaker 7: gonna cast all.
- 1:51:36Speaker 9: Feed back up your shirt.
- 1:51:37Speaker 5: Don't worry, don't just go go go.
- 1:51:40Speaker 3: Oh if you need another alteration to bring.
- 1:51:42Speaker 7: It just I got a guy. I got a guy.
- 1:51:46Speaker 5: Did he know Tom? Like well, I mean, I know
- 1:51:48Speaker 5: Brian knows everybody right, Like, I don't know how, I mean.
- 1:51:50Speaker 3: You probably insulted him at least once or twelve.
- 1:51:53Speaker 7: Brian and I had a lot of conversations with Tom.
- 1:51:56Speaker 7: I don't know like how well he would still yeah,
- 1:52:00Speaker 7: like he's Tom Brady.
- 1:52:02Speaker 3: Really.
- 1:52:02Speaker 7: That was my one. My one drawback last night was
- 1:52:05Speaker 7: when he was thanking everybody and he didn't mention Paul Media.
- 1:52:08Speaker 7: I looked at Andy, I go could have used a
- 1:52:10Speaker 7: personal shot to the rest, but evidently that cost ten grand.
- 1:52:13Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:52:14Speaker 7: I know that Edlman thing was funny, great.
- 1:52:16Speaker 5: Great, great shot, A great shot.
- 1:52:18Speaker 3: I would have paid him twenty thousand if he mentioned
- 1:52:20Speaker 3: the podcast.
- 1:52:21Speaker 6: Yeah yeah, yeah, Well even when they walked in, he's
- 1:52:23Speaker 6: with his guy Sam and uh and FITZI shouted out
- 1:52:26Speaker 6: the games with Days and Edelman was like, yeah, you know,
- 1:52:29Speaker 6: like you can tell they really want that to get promoted.
- 1:52:31Speaker 5: They're trying to grow it.
- 1:52:31Speaker 8: Oh yeah, it'd be fun to have Brady on there.
- 1:52:34Speaker 8: I know he's been trying, and he's made some jokes
- 1:52:36Speaker 8: about that too, Like I can't even get him on
- 1:52:38Speaker 8: my podcast.
- 1:52:39Speaker 5: You know where's Brady lived now? He's he sent somewhere
- 1:52:41Speaker 5: warmer in Florida.
- 1:52:42Speaker 3: I think he's still in floor Tampa.
- 1:52:44Speaker 8: I think, yeah, actually it might be Miami.
