- 0:55Speaker 2: Man special guests in here. My brother representing Massachusetts, my dog,
- 1:00Speaker 2: the biggest Celtics fan in the world, wearing a Sun's
- 1:01Speaker 2: jersey today.
- 1:02Speaker 1: For you, Millies, for you. We're for you only because
- 1:06Speaker 1: you're not competitive. If you were competitive, I would have
- 1:08Speaker 1: never wre this jersey today.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Thank you, thank you.
- 1:11Speaker 1: I got so much love in my heart for you. Bro.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Get a ball, Steve, Steve nash Man a great, a
- 1:16Speaker 1: great white basketball player all time. White for sure is
- 1:20Speaker 1: a great way.
- 1:20Speaker 2: You gotta put him up on a white mount rushing
- 1:22Speaker 2: for the NBA time MVP.
- 1:24Speaker 1: He is a great way.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure. How's everything been though? Man? New albums out?
- 1:29Speaker 1: Blanco seven, Yeah, B seven, seventh Installment.
- 1:34Speaker 2: When do you stop this thing?
- 1:36Speaker 1: Ten? I was going to stop it at I was
- 1:39Speaker 1: going to stop it at seven, but like now I'm like, yeah, ten.
- 1:43Speaker 2: I'm like ten.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Like Blanco, Yeah, because I literally get bigger in my
- 1:47Speaker 1: career every time I drop one of them. It's like
- 1:50Speaker 1: the process of dropping a Blanco album just propels me
- 1:54Speaker 1: in my career. And it's the music I love working on.
- 1:56Speaker 1: It's you know, it's kind of theme based music.
- 1:58Speaker 2: So it's what's the difference for you, Like between like
- 2:02Speaker 2: a Holy Water and like working on a Blanco like
- 2:04Speaker 2: is it.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Like like the Blancos. I want to make sure it's
- 2:09Speaker 1: a balance of melodic records, pain records, my essential MILLI
- 2:15Speaker 1: sound like if you go to YouTube and you go
- 2:17Speaker 1: to Millie's type beat, you'll see hundreds of thousands of
- 2:21Speaker 1: millions type beats like I got my own, you know
- 2:25Speaker 1: style that I created in that sense, So I keep
- 2:29Speaker 1: that type of music heavy on the Blanco series, but
- 2:32Speaker 1: then I keep a good balance of melodic records, and
- 2:35Speaker 1: then I try to get you know, the A list
- 2:38Speaker 1: type features right, and it's it's just a formula to it.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Where Holy Water is that was just like a darker album.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Yeah uh you obviously you start to talking about big features.
- 2:51Speaker 2: This this album's got meek mill And by the way,
- 2:53Speaker 2: Jada Kiss had one of the craziest punchlines to kick
- 2:56Speaker 2: off the album.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Hell yeah you called that where he was talking about
- 2:59Speaker 1: the patt the top of your Yeah, he said you
- 3:01Speaker 1: could try waiting and you could die hating, get your
- 3:04Speaker 1: head tapped, shock clock violation, And when he said it,
- 3:08Speaker 1: I just thought it was a dope line, like you know,
- 3:09Speaker 1: get your head tapped, like yeah, but then he's like
- 3:12Speaker 1: yeating know the reps, they tap their heads when it's
- 3:14Speaker 1: a shock.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Yesh, so good bro. Yeah, but talk about work because
- 3:20Speaker 2: obviously now meet's independent, So I feel like it's a
- 3:23Speaker 2: lot easier because you're an independent artist. Yeah. I feel
- 3:26Speaker 2: like like it's probably a lot easier for you to
- 3:28Speaker 2: work with somebody when they're independent than like dealing with
- 3:31Speaker 2: the major label ship getting that shit cleared, like because
- 3:34Speaker 2: you might fuck with an artist and they might fuck
- 3:37Speaker 2: with you. But then when it comes to time for
- 3:38Speaker 2: the record to come out, especially if you want to
- 3:40Speaker 2: do the primary artist thing and all that explain like
- 3:42Speaker 2: like connecting with Meek and.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Well I connected with them through Garcy.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Okay, so Garcy is like my.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Bro, like long time, like we've been tied in and
- 3:54Speaker 1: Meek Mill that was like a bucket list record for
- 3:56Speaker 1: me for sure, for sure because he's man can Drake
- 4:00Speaker 1: Cole Meek you know that's really that they'll probably try
- 4:05Speaker 1: to leave him out of some of those or Drake
- 4:07Speaker 1: you know that whole conversation. He's the street rapper right
- 4:11Speaker 1: out of that that really put out you know, classic
- 4:14Speaker 1: bodies of work. Man. A lot of people that might
- 4:17Speaker 1: be the last street rapper who was like a superstar.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Right, And I mean, like you said, the classic bodies
- 4:24Speaker 2: of work is all those dream chasers.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Yeah, dream chases tastes down to the albums though, Yeah, Championships, Championships.
- 4:34Speaker 2: I think it's his best body. I love so good.
- 4:37Speaker 1: I told him, I like I like the intro and
- 4:39Speaker 1: championships more than dreams of nightma.
- 4:42Speaker 2: I feel like Meek is a perfect example too of
- 4:43Speaker 2: like once you hit a certain level of success, like
- 4:47Speaker 2: hip hop fans are so finicky, bro, yeah, because it's
- 4:51Speaker 2: like he got so big and was like rubbing rubbing
- 4:54Speaker 2: shoulders with like the biggest motherfuckers like outside of hip
- 4:57Speaker 2: hop billionaires and like yeah, and it's people try to
- 5:00Speaker 2: use that ship against him. It's like, Yo, isn't this
- 5:02Speaker 2: the goal? Like shouldn't you want to like elevate and
- 5:05Speaker 2: get out of the trenches remove yourself from situations in which, like.
- 5:10Speaker 1: I think that's everywhere.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Though.
- 5:14Speaker 1: The very famous friend of mine from uh my area
- 5:19Speaker 1: in Massachusetts, he told me say, yeah, people like you
- 5:22Speaker 1: to do good, just they don't like you to do
- 5:24Speaker 1: too good? You know?
- 5:26Speaker 2: Is that Mark Warberg.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Ship?
- 5:28Speaker 2: Like that shout out to Mark Welberg. Yeah, yeah, no,
- 5:32Speaker 2: that's true. Have you. Have you dealt with that at all?
- 5:34Speaker 2: Because oh, for sure, obviously you're like very successful, but
- 5:37Speaker 2: you're still kind of like underground.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Yeah. So I'm so I'm underground in the whole scheme
- 5:45Speaker 1: of things like nationally, you know, but like in my city,
- 5:50Speaker 1: I'm kind of my state. I'm like the big fish
- 5:52Speaker 1: and the small for sure. So I take I take
- 5:55Speaker 1: all the hate.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Yeah, you're like the like why aren't you doing more?
- 6:00Speaker 1: Why it doesn't matter they move the goal post every time.
- 6:03Speaker 2: So yeah, it's it's interesting because I've been in that
- 6:06Speaker 2: same position in Arizona where it's like, yeah, how much else?
- 6:09Speaker 2: Like what is like what do you'll want me to do?
- 6:12Speaker 2: Matter how many Arizona rappers come on my showing rap
- 6:15Speaker 2: like it ain't never enough.
- 6:16Speaker 1: I pray I pray that five six seven artists could
- 6:21Speaker 1: pop at the same time, kind of like how Detroit.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Is, right, you know, it's crazy.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Then I could just do my thing with immunity and
- 6:28Speaker 1: be fine, you know, without people, you know, watching every
- 6:32Speaker 1: move I'm making, being like it's man, it's his fault
- 6:35Speaker 1: that I'm not further in my career, Like that's that's
- 6:39Speaker 1: what they think.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Yeah, it's crazy. Because the approach that mind state will
- 6:44Speaker 2: have you fucked up for the rest of your life
- 6:46Speaker 2: if you if you always are looking at it.
- 6:48Speaker 1: It's a bitch azz mind state too. Yeah, it's a
- 6:51Speaker 1: bitch azz mind state.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:53Speaker 1: If your point got to be a man man like
- 6:56Speaker 1: nobody like my me. Being lit does not dim your
- 7:00Speaker 1: light at all. You know, it's enough money for all
- 7:03Speaker 1: of us. It's enough. It's enough abundance for everybody.
- 7:10Speaker 2: And what I'm doing and got nothing to do with
- 7:13Speaker 2: what you're doing. Hell no, And yeah you got to.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Take if anything it could, it could big get ship up,
- 7:20Speaker 1: like in the case of like Joanne and Lucas. He's
- 7:25Speaker 1: a big rapper from where I'm from. Of course, you know,
- 7:29Speaker 1: he's from like an hour from where I'm from. But
- 7:31Speaker 1: it's the same, yeah, but it's the same thing. And
- 7:34Speaker 1: he got a huge fan base, bro, And that benefited
- 7:39Speaker 1: me because us being from the same backyard pretty much.
- 7:42Speaker 1: He put me on tour, you know, and put money
- 7:46Speaker 1: in my pocket and put me in front of a
- 7:48Speaker 1: huge fan base. And that's because we're from Massachusetts.
- 7:51Speaker 2: And Wi you were coming up, you wasn't hating on him,
- 7:53Speaker 2: being like, yo, why is Jordan.
- 7:55Speaker 1: You know, I wasn't hating it, and he never he
- 7:59Speaker 1: never rea out to me or nothing. We had like
- 8:02Speaker 1: other shit, you know, going on, but it was like
- 8:04Speaker 1: I never ever hated publicly, no matter what if I
- 8:08Speaker 1: seen them at the Grammys. It's just not in my
- 8:10Speaker 1: heart to see somebody from Massachusetts at the Grammys and
- 8:13Speaker 1: not go wow, this is crazy on the internet and
- 8:16Speaker 1: put it up like that'll never be, you know, not
- 8:20Speaker 1: in my heart to do. Man, I want six or
- 8:21Speaker 1: seven to win to the utmost. That's why you can
- 8:24Speaker 1: never catch me down in somebody because I really want,
- 8:28Speaker 1: you know, I want Massachusetts to win man highest level.
- 8:32Speaker 2: There's like a false narrative too that like people can
- 8:35Speaker 2: gate keep other other people from succeeding. I'm like, yo, fuck, no,
- 8:40Speaker 2: the internet exists. You have a direct yea option at
- 8:44Speaker 2: all times. You should look in the mirror and figure
- 8:47Speaker 2: out the things that you're not doing to resonate with
- 8:50Speaker 2: people with.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Yeah, And it's almost no excuses a rapper now, because
- 8:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna break it down like right, all right, So
- 8:56Speaker 1: what would be what would be a hindrance to a
- 8:58Speaker 1: rapper making it right now? Like if you were let's say, let's.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Say let's say most rappers would be like, they would
- 9:05Speaker 2: look at how hard it is to get on a
- 9:07Speaker 2: playlist because they think that that's the only thing that
- 9:10Speaker 2: matters a lot of small minded.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Well, that's playlist. And let me tell you something. I
- 9:14Speaker 1: got a line. I got a line on my thing
- 9:17Speaker 1: and I love I got a song called what If
- 9:22Speaker 1: I told you and on it and this is no
- 9:24Speaker 1: I listen. I love Spotify. I have nothing against Spotiforse,
- 9:30Speaker 1: when you look at my shit, it says one percent
- 9:36Speaker 1: or zero percent editorial playlisting. I'm me at this height
- 9:41Speaker 1: of my career. I done had all the features and
- 9:43Speaker 1: all of that. I don't care. I'm not mad at them.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Carl Cherry, y'all, I'm still waiting. It's fine. I got
- 9:51Speaker 1: nothing but love for y'all in my heart. I'm gonna
- 9:53Speaker 1: keep working. I don't give a fuck. That don't make
- 9:55Speaker 1: me or break me. I still got love. But I
- 9:58Speaker 1: got a line. I said, what if I told you?
- 10:00Speaker 1: Spotify don't put me on a playlist. But in the trenches,
- 10:03Speaker 1: I'm so famous. They treat me like I'm a list.
- 10:05Speaker 1: It's all right, Like you don't need a playlist, you
- 10:09Speaker 1: don't need you don't need a playlist to propel. You
- 10:11Speaker 1: need the internet, man is phone you get clicking off
- 10:15Speaker 1: your phone, you know what I mean?
- 10:16Speaker 2: Yeah, you need to make music that resonates with people,
- 10:20Speaker 2: and that's how you build a flock, you know what
- 10:23Speaker 2: I'm saying. Like we've been I've been watching you dog
- 10:25Speaker 2: for like ten years, slowly chipping away at this shit.
- 10:27Speaker 2: You know what I mean.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Yeah, Yeah, and that's what it is, like a slow
- 10:31Speaker 1: and steady build. But like my thing to any artist
- 10:34Speaker 1: would be like you have the option to get your phone.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Let's say you're a whatever type of rapper you are,
- 10:41Speaker 1: a lot of things hold rappers back.
- 10:43Speaker 2: I don't.
- 10:43Speaker 1: I don't got the clothes, you know, I don't got
- 10:46Speaker 1: the outfit to do it well. People like the genuine
- 10:49Speaker 1: struggle too. You could, I believe somebody could blow up
- 10:52Speaker 1: wearing dunkin Donuts.
- 10:53Speaker 2: I mean you you wear a wife beater for the
- 10:55Speaker 2: most part too. You could wear a.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Wife beater or or if you're playing with a couple
- 11:00Speaker 1: of thousands of dollars, let me tell you something you
- 11:03Speaker 1: don't need. You don't need a camera man. You don't
- 11:05Speaker 1: need a professional camera man. You just need an iPhone
- 11:09Speaker 1: maybe an android. You know you need you need a
- 11:12Speaker 1: you need a decent phone with a decent camera. If
- 11:15Speaker 1: you got a couple thousand dollars, go to Sacks fifth
- 11:18Speaker 1: if you want to look. I'm not saying like super
- 11:20Speaker 1: fake it to you make it, but you know, get
- 11:22Speaker 1: a get a decent outfit. Man, throw that shit on.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Go put the phone up. You could record the song
- 11:28Speaker 1: off your phone. Is forty dollars to record a song without.
- 11:31Speaker 2: City three baby was recorded on iPhone exactly right.
- 11:35Speaker 1: So you put the phone up. You got your new outfit,
- 11:39Speaker 1: go wrap the song man, return that outfit, get your
- 11:42Speaker 1: money back. Now you got your clip. Now when you
- 11:47Speaker 1: post that shit, send it to you know, fifteen to
- 11:50Speaker 1: your friends. At the same time, put a group chat.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Let's push this at each fifteen people, send it to
- 11:57Speaker 1: another fifteen people and just see what happens. And do
- 12:00Speaker 1: that seventy times. Yeah, and if you're good, I bet
- 12:03Speaker 1: you something to happen.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Yeah, if it's If it's good though, yeah.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Put out, put out, you know, put out? How volume work? Man?
- 12:12Speaker 2: Yeah? Not for sure? What you would you say that
- 12:15Speaker 2: at what point in time? Because you've had a long
- 12:18Speaker 2: journey in this music ship. What point in time, do
- 12:22Speaker 2: you feel like the rubber finally started to hit the
- 12:24Speaker 2: pavement In terms of you feeling like, okay, I'm cutting through.
- 12:28Speaker 2: This is working.
- 12:30Speaker 1: The rubber hitting the pavement fucked me.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Up, bro Okay, the tire hitting the.
- 12:36Speaker 3: The tire, I was like, I can't Jesus Christ, Hey, yo,
- 12:42Speaker 3: you fucking East Coast guys.
- 12:43Speaker 2: I swear to God.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Now I'm just the saying you're talking about, Like we're
- 12:46Speaker 1: in a real serious conversation, Like you.
- 12:53Speaker 2: What what was the question I was asking? Obviously there's
- 12:57Speaker 2: been a long journey for you music. Yeah, it wasn't
- 13:00Speaker 2: always this, you know. I'm sure there was times where
- 13:02Speaker 2: you maybe thought about fucking giving up. At what point
- 13:06Speaker 2: in time was the traction real enough where you felt like, Okay,
- 13:11Speaker 2: this is something that I got to pour more into.
- 13:13Speaker 2: This is working.
- 13:14Speaker 1: So a Beanie Seagull line is what changed my mind forever.
- 13:20Speaker 1: In terms of rap, he said, play your cards, go
- 13:24Speaker 1: against all odds, shoot.
- 13:25Speaker 2: For the moon.
- 13:26Speaker 1: If you miss, you're still amongst those stars. And I
- 13:28Speaker 1: thought about it, like, man, you know, I'm a really
- 13:31Speaker 1: talented rapper and I love being around this music. Shit,
- 13:37Speaker 1: if I just keep doing my thing, even if I'm
- 13:40Speaker 1: not at the moon. I'll be around the stars and
- 13:41Speaker 1: I meaning people as stars, but just you know, the
- 13:43Speaker 1: opportunities and things like that. And that's when I committed
- 13:47Speaker 1: to just I'm gonna do this until until it burns out.
- 13:52Speaker 1: There was a point I never thought I would make
- 13:53Speaker 1: money from it, though I was getting paid like a
- 13:56Speaker 1: part time McDonald's worker, you know, And I was almost
- 14:04Speaker 1: at the point of like I might have been at
- 14:07Speaker 1: the point of breaking a couple of times, but It'll
- 14:10Speaker 1: only be for like two hours and then I'll be
- 14:12Speaker 1: back to it, like no, I'm rapping. Wow, you know,
- 14:15Speaker 1: So this is what I'm supposed to do. Bro, I'm gifted.
- 14:19Speaker 1: I'm the best, you know, in my mind at least.
- 14:23Speaker 2: What was the difference maker for you to finally start
- 14:25Speaker 2: making like decent money where you were like.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Okay, pandemic as soon as the pandemic hit. What happened,
- 14:32Speaker 1: I swear the pandemic hit. I caught COVID like bad,
- 14:36Speaker 1: Like I called COVID around the time fred to God's
- 14:38Speaker 1: son died, Like yeah, I called COVID when people kind
- 14:42Speaker 1: of didn't know what it was. And I have asthma
- 14:45Speaker 1: like I used to get rushed to the hospital as
- 14:46Speaker 1: a little kid and be on the net neverlizer treatments
- 14:49Speaker 1: and shit like that emergency room. So I really went
- 14:52Speaker 1: through it with COVID. I couldn't breathe, Like I didn't
- 14:54Speaker 1: take a FaceTime for three days because I didn't want
- 14:56Speaker 1: to talk, like I'm conserving my breath. That kind of
- 14:59Speaker 1: fuck me up. I lost a lot of weight. I
- 15:02Speaker 1: came I came back on Instagram like a month after,
- 15:07Speaker 1: and I was like, yeah, I'm straight, and I dropped
- 15:09Speaker 1: a song. I dropped a song called RLS Real Life
- 15:12Speaker 1: Shit and it was during the time of like it
- 15:16Speaker 1: was like a lockdown when you were like weren't supposed
- 15:18Speaker 1: to go outside and stuff, and that song just just
- 15:22Speaker 1: kind of hit. And then I just started dropping music
- 15:25Speaker 1: from there, and it was like because the world was
- 15:27Speaker 1: so slowed down, people had the time to consume what
- 15:34Speaker 1: I was saying for the first time in my career.
- 15:37Speaker 1: It's like all the noise was blocked out. You couldn't
- 15:40Speaker 1: drop a club anthem, you sound stupid. And club anthems
- 15:44Speaker 1: have never club Yeah, club anthems have never been my specialty.
- 15:48Speaker 1: So when the pandemic happened, it slowed everything down, and
- 15:53Speaker 1: everyone was on their phone and I just had my
- 15:56Speaker 1: cameraman tangent were running around, were just shooting videos and
- 16:00Speaker 1: now I'm like, oh, I'm gonna start doing some freestyle
- 16:03Speaker 1: wraps off the phone to them. I just took advantage
- 16:07Speaker 1: of the world slowing down because I'm like, now they
- 16:08Speaker 1: got to listen, And as soon as people listened, my
- 16:11Speaker 1: shit just went, and you know, it turned up. In
- 16:15Speaker 1: twenty twenty one, I got into the rap game. And
- 16:18Speaker 1: I've been in the rap game since twenty twenty one,
- 16:21Speaker 1: so like, yeah, like five four or five years. However,
- 16:24Speaker 1: I was in this game before that, but I wasn't
- 16:27Speaker 1: though I can't lie like I'd be lying to you
- 16:29Speaker 1: if I told you I was in the game. I
- 16:31Speaker 1: was maybe playing in a euro League, not even a
- 16:36Speaker 1: euro League. I was maybe playing like I was playing
- 16:39Speaker 1: in niketball Rucker, not even at the Rucker. Yeah maybe
- 16:44Speaker 1: maybe maybe pick up ball, and not even as like
- 16:47Speaker 1: a starter, you know, but like I got into the
- 16:49Speaker 1: NBA in twenty twenty one. Yeah, just my accountants could
- 16:53Speaker 1: tell you that how many years prior to that was
- 16:55Speaker 1: the journey, like twelve thirteen.
- 16:58Speaker 2: That's crazy, man.
- 17:00Speaker 1: So I only feel like I've been in this shit
- 17:02Speaker 1: for four or five because I don't count those years
- 17:04Speaker 1: when people talk about those like the old you remember
- 17:08Speaker 1: this song? No, I don't, because you know how much
- 17:11Speaker 1: work I put in since twenty twenty one, Like, how
- 17:14Speaker 1: extend the output is crazy?
- 17:16Speaker 2: I'd say, you output wise? What's your catalog?
- 17:18Speaker 3: Like?
- 17:18Speaker 2: How many how many bodies of work catalog wise are
- 17:20Speaker 2: you at now at this point.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Probably like fourteen fifteen.
- 17:25Speaker 2: That's a lot. Yeah, as anybody ever flirted, because I
- 17:29Speaker 2: know a lot of independent artists been getting hit up
- 17:30Speaker 2: by selling their catalogs. That's something you would do.
- 17:34Speaker 1: There's a lot of conversations in my life.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Gieparico told me how much they offered him for his shit,
- 17:39Speaker 2: and I was like, bro, yeah.
- 17:41Speaker 1: I could, I could.
- 17:44Speaker 2: I don't speak to It's cinly a seven figure bag
- 17:46Speaker 2: for you if you sold it, of course, it's multiple
- 17:48Speaker 2: seven figures.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Yeah, come on, Cad, Like.
- 17:53Speaker 2: I feel like if you're confident enough that like there's
- 17:55Speaker 2: more where that came from, you know.
- 17:58Speaker 1: I mean, like.
- 18:00Speaker 2: It's an option.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I see, you know random eighty thousand dollars checks
- 18:07Speaker 1: periodically a lot of times.
- 18:09Speaker 2: What's your what's your Obviously you're still would.
- 18:11Speaker 1: So raspy right, Yeah, I'm going to create right now though.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Okay, so the district comes through Created.
- 18:15Speaker 1: The distroc goes through Create, and I got a pup
- 18:18Speaker 1: deal through Empire. Shout out Ghazi.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Oh you're double dipping with it with the indie distros.
- 18:23Speaker 2: Got work with Empire, low work we create.
- 18:27Speaker 1: I'm just an independent guy, man, I love it. But
- 18:30Speaker 1: if they put me on a major man and give
- 18:32Speaker 1: me a Post Malone feature, have Taylor Swift singing in
- 18:37Speaker 1: the car like this, maybe Ed Sharnon come to the
- 18:41Speaker 1: studio and listen to my album and co sign it.
- 18:44Speaker 1: I do a commercial with Tom Brady?
- 18:47Speaker 2: Did Tom Brady? Come?
- 18:48Speaker 1: Hold on? I'm on something right now. Yeah, the Tom
- 18:51Speaker 1: Brady commercial, Damn Cavy threw me off. I was just
- 18:56Speaker 1: thinking about the grand plan because you know, I got
- 18:59Speaker 1: those singing ballad type anthems like oh and then justin
- 19:03Speaker 1: Timberlake on the hook, I'm going bro like a different stratosphere.
- 19:07Speaker 1: I'll probably be up at least like eighty to one
- 19:09Speaker 1: hundred million, and that could really happen in my life.
- 19:12Speaker 1: So we're just gonna manifest that right here. You see,
- 19:15Speaker 1: that was all using the complexion for the connection right there.
- 19:18Speaker 2: I love it. Have you gotten to the point where
- 19:23Speaker 2: like you've turned any major situations down or at least
- 19:26Speaker 2: I know they got it. Had to have called, right, keV.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Gotta know I'm coming into this interview Fried.
- 19:34Speaker 2: You said what a major situation like in terms of yeah, yeah,
- 19:38Speaker 2: major's coming in and knocking on your door.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Yeah, every single every single well maybe not every single,
- 19:43Speaker 1: I don't know all of them, but yeah, any situation
- 19:47Speaker 1: that's out there, because what it is now is they
- 19:49Speaker 1: look at data lines.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Yeah, they're looking at so.
- 19:53Speaker 4: They're looking at they don't give ant use it, they
- 19:56Speaker 4: don't give a fuck who you are, and they like
- 19:59Speaker 4: before for see, I ran around the industry with set
- 20:03Speaker 4: Free when I was.
- 20:07Speaker 1: First moving to New York, and he moved me around
- 20:09Speaker 1: to everybody. He moved me around and have me, you know,
- 20:15Speaker 1: shake hands with any record label. Look sect, I mean,
- 20:17Speaker 1: I'm sitting in Columbia Records with the ball somewhere. Everyone
- 20:21Speaker 1: and just every label was like, yeah, I don't get it.
- 20:25Speaker 1: But it took for me to drop independently. When the
- 20:28Speaker 1: pandemic happened, my music streams just went like this, and
- 20:32Speaker 1: what these people are looking for, They're not looking for
- 20:35Speaker 1: talent at this point. They're looking for whose line is
- 20:39Speaker 1: like this. So your shit is either like this, is
- 20:44Speaker 1: like this or like this. So anybody who's like this
- 20:47Speaker 1: is getting major offers. So it's not a unique thing
- 20:50Speaker 1: or a special thing to me. But yeah, we got
- 20:53Speaker 1: all those offers, we got, we got shit going on.
- 20:56Speaker 2: What would make you consider, you know, diving in to
- 21:01Speaker 2: the major infrastructure because it obviously.
- 21:03Speaker 1: No, that's I would do the major infrastructure if they
- 21:06Speaker 1: did the play rewind this sixty.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Seconds Taylor Swift played Tom Brady, play.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Yeah, Taylor Swift sing It in the Car, put MEO
- 21:14Speaker 1: Me and post Malone on the song Taylor Swift sings
- 21:17Speaker 1: It in the Car. Kylie Jenner shares a little video
- 21:20Speaker 1: Tom Brady commercial. I forget the other one, but something
- 21:26Speaker 1: with Ed Sherman and justin Timberlake. And then let's throwing
- 21:29Speaker 1: Nelly Nelly.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I like the Nelly.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Yeah, were throwing Nelly. And and then after that, me
- 21:38Speaker 1: and me and so that'll be the like big commercial single.
- 21:41Speaker 1: We push off the major shit and that shit hall
- 21:43Speaker 1: just blow up crazy and then me and Kiss will
- 21:47Speaker 1: come back with a hard ass racking me Kiss Wayne
- 21:50Speaker 1: eminem and whole. Do you know I was with you
- 21:56Speaker 1: to hold home? Might not get on the song, I think,
- 21:59Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know if M's tapped in. Man,
- 22:02Speaker 1: you know, he needs to know that the greatest Caucasian
- 22:08Speaker 1: there was ever created. You know, after I said I
- 22:12Speaker 1: put him out of the category, I do consider myself
- 22:15Speaker 1: the greatest Caucasian rapper of all time, you know what
- 22:17Speaker 1: I mean? I put him out of the category because
- 22:19Speaker 1: he saved my life when we was young, but I burned.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, Larry Bird.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Yeah, he's clear. He's like Larry Bird. So we don't
- 22:27Speaker 1: want to compare Luca Doncis to Larry Bird and stuff
- 22:31Speaker 1: like that.
- 22:33Speaker 2: That's funny, yo, How did you and m g k
- 22:37Speaker 2: up getting together and squashing whatever y'all squashed? Because I
- 22:42Speaker 2: remember you called him a garbage rapper in the lad
- 22:44Speaker 2: interview and all that, and then.
- 22:45Speaker 1: You take that back. He's not.
- 22:47Speaker 2: He's a sweet guy too, man, He's and I mean,
- 22:49Speaker 2: did you talk to him, that's my boy?
- 22:50Speaker 1: Like you talk to him like after.
- 22:54Speaker 2: I don't know if we talked about you, but I
- 22:56Speaker 2: was just with him in Vegas. He's just like one
- 22:58Speaker 2: of the best dudes. Ever, so I feel like sometimes
- 23:02Speaker 2: like because he's he's done rock and he's like done
- 23:05Speaker 2: different genres.
- 23:06Speaker 1: He's like no, no, no, no, he's cool. And we
- 23:09Speaker 1: had a rapport, you know, like we had a rapport
- 23:12Speaker 1: back in the day and Ship. I just felt like
- 23:14Speaker 1: he was firing shots at me, bro, and I fired
- 23:17Speaker 1: shots at him. I thought it would be a good
- 23:19Speaker 1: It's like a boxer calling out a boxer. You know,
- 23:22Speaker 1: that would have been a good fight for me.
- 23:24Speaker 2: You guys ended up connecting now and yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 23:26Speaker 2: we chopped it up.
- 23:27Speaker 1: I was just talking to him on FaceTime the other day, like, Bro,
- 23:31Speaker 1: he's cool. Yeah, you got his fan like his fans
- 23:35Speaker 1: be so mad that I didn't crash on you know,
- 23:38Speaker 1: social media like that. We didn't do violence to each other.
- 23:41Speaker 1: But people should look at that situation and look at
- 23:43Speaker 1: it like this is how grown men handle no handle
- 23:46Speaker 1: ship And we didn't have a problem. We had a
- 23:48Speaker 1: rap problem.
- 23:49Speaker 2: That's good. Uh. I also saw you connected with Jelly
- 23:53Speaker 2: Roll in Boston.
- 23:54Speaker 1: Yeah. I connected with Jelly Roll in Nashville too.
- 23:58Speaker 2: He I know, he's a fan. Me and him talked
- 24:00Speaker 2: about you before.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, Jelly rolle Man, Jelly Roll was ill
- 24:03Speaker 1: because he's like a preacher rapper.
- 24:06Speaker 2: He's definitely a preacher singer. You go to that show
- 24:08Speaker 2: and he's like preaching to the crowd. Oh yeah, no,
- 24:11Speaker 2: house comes down on fire at the end.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Jelly roll super godly. He's just a dope individual that
- 24:17Speaker 1: God bless the world with.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Would you hop on a country beat? Not necessarily do
- 24:22Speaker 2: a country song?
- 24:23Speaker 1: Yeah, hell yeah, Hell yeah. I've I've changed a lot
- 24:28Speaker 1: of like my views on not saying like I would
- 24:32Speaker 1: switch genres. I'm gonna keep it this rap shit forever.
- 24:37Speaker 2: But I like.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Country music a lot though, like that, there's stuff that
- 24:40Speaker 1: I do here.
- 24:40Speaker 2: The songwriting is next level.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Yeah, it's very similar to hip hop though, is rod
- 24:45Speaker 1: Wave is the biggest artist selling wise, because like I
- 24:53Speaker 1: guess those country records that go number one and ship
- 24:56Speaker 1: like road Waves music is pretty similar on bar with
- 24:59Speaker 1: all of that ship not saying necessarily like sonically but
- 25:02Speaker 1: like just the song, but.
- 25:03Speaker 2: Like you could like flip a switch and put Broadways
- 25:06Speaker 2: onto some of these country productions and it's it sounds.
- 25:10Speaker 1: And I really got introduced to country music through rap,
- 25:14Speaker 1: like I got introduced through like Broadway girls, like Free Dirk,
- 25:17Speaker 1: you know, what I mean with Morgan Wall and like
- 25:20Speaker 1: that's how I got really acquainted. I knew one country
- 25:24Speaker 1: song when I was coming up Darius Rucker shout out, uh,
- 25:31Speaker 1: that's h and he was talking about who he was
- 25:34Speaker 1: talking about. Don't think I don't think about it through
- 25:39Speaker 1: the work and the herd and a whiskey. Don't think
- 25:42Speaker 1: I don't think about it. And that was one of
- 25:45Speaker 1: the things that like, I think that inspired him on
- 25:47Speaker 1: my song, right and sh like that.
- 25:49Speaker 2: He's from that's Hoody from Hoody in the Blowfish Darius.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Rutger, Yeah, I just know him from that song.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Yeah, shout out to Uh. I feel like Big Extra
- 25:58Speaker 2: Plug's doing a good job of like hopping country records,
- 26:00Speaker 2: but they sound like he's still just doing him, you know,
- 26:03Speaker 2: right right right, shout out to Big X. You got
- 26:06Speaker 2: a lot of dope features on this album. Obviously, No Cap,
- 26:08Speaker 2: Dave East.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Yeah you know about No Cap.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Of course, likeout out to Alabama, Man.
- 26:13Speaker 1: No, you really know about caps.
- 26:16Speaker 2: One of my I've been for like three or four
- 26:17Speaker 2: years DM and that guy trying to get him to
- 26:19Speaker 2: come on the show.
- 26:20Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, like he's an all time and I've.
- 26:22Speaker 2: Been trying to book him in my club for sake.
- 26:24Speaker 2: He's incredible.
- 26:25Speaker 1: I got cap as like the greatest artists out right now.
- 26:28Speaker 2: Yeah, his pen game is ridiculous.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Got him as the greatest artist out right now because
- 26:34Speaker 1: beat selection, melody and then straight bar work and a
- 26:39Speaker 1: lot of the Sometimes I feel like East Coast people
- 26:42Speaker 1: look over like his bar work because they're not catching
- 26:45Speaker 1: it because he's doing it in melody. You might got
- 26:47Speaker 1: some auto to him, but he's borrowing them the funk
- 26:49Speaker 1: out now his pen games. We got a song where
- 26:51Speaker 1: it goes, and I just thought it was a profound
- 26:54Speaker 1: statement when he said it. He said, I didn't pray
- 26:57Speaker 1: last night. Why because I'm a man and I'm not
- 26:59Speaker 1: trying to put this weight on God? And that that
- 27:03Speaker 1: hit me. I was like, damn, my man, I'm not
- 27:05Speaker 1: trying to put this weight on God. I thought that
- 27:08Speaker 1: was just profound in itself for sure. But I didn't
- 27:12Speaker 1: pray last night? Why because I'm amen and I ain't
- 27:14Speaker 1: trying to put this weight on God?
- 27:16Speaker 2: Yeah? Because amen a man?
- 27:18Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, So it's little shit like that. And
- 27:21Speaker 1: I heard that song ninety thousand.
- 27:23Speaker 2: You put that together?
- 27:24Speaker 1: No, a fan put it together for me and I'm like,
- 27:26Speaker 1: that's that's when you talking high level rap, bro, like
- 27:29Speaker 1: you're slipping shit in there, and that's that's what made
- 27:32Speaker 1: all the NAS CDs and all the classic rap CDs good.
- 27:36Speaker 1: When you could go back and on your ninetieth listen,
- 27:38Speaker 1: you're like, oh, shdamn he man, this that's fucking crazy.
- 27:43Speaker 1: And Cap got that all through his.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Catalog for sure. Yeah. No, he's slept on too.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Now, the most slept on. Not really though, because he
- 27:52Speaker 1: sells out all the shows and.
- 27:54Speaker 2: He's been I mean, he's definitely big.
- 27:55Speaker 1: It's just people don't really Yeah, fully understand.
- 27:58Speaker 2: What you and Mazi. I know you Mazzi got a
- 28:00Speaker 2: working relationship at this point. Man, I feel like Mazi
- 28:02Speaker 2: is the type of guy to pop out and do
- 28:03Speaker 2: a joint album with somebody. Would you? Would you guys? Ever?
- 28:06Speaker 1: Man, I love that man, that bro, we should do that.
- 28:10Speaker 1: You know. That's so crazy because I think here was
- 28:12Speaker 1: one of the first places we started connecting the dots.
- 28:14Speaker 2: Yeah, he just took over my pizza shop Friday for
- 28:17Speaker 2: his album release. That's what's up.
- 28:19Speaker 1: Out to Masie Man, Yeah, no, shout out to Masi Man.
- 28:22Speaker 1: My West Coast Breda.
- 28:23Speaker 2: We dropped a pizza called the Mozzarella Fella and all
- 28:27Speaker 2: sales benefited incarcerated people.
- 28:30Speaker 3: I'm jacking out the mozzarella Fella. I'm jacking out you
- 28:33Speaker 3: could be the mozzarella Fella because your your skin tone.
- 28:36Speaker 3: Obviously mozzarella cheese is white. You know, how are we
- 28:42Speaker 3: feeling about?
- 28:44Speaker 2: I feel like the impending finals collision is Celtics first thunder.
- 28:50Speaker 2: If you had to put some money on it, how
- 28:55Speaker 2: do you?
- 28:55Speaker 1: First of all, we might see them reps start to
- 28:57Speaker 1: get a little triggy when it comes to the Lakers.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Is that Lakers? Celtics? Boy, that's that's the world want that? Man.
- 29:05Speaker 1: We don't give a funk about shake Gilgrits. I mean, ga,
- 29:09Speaker 1: we don't care about him and his aura, you know
- 29:12Speaker 1: what I mean. They don't care about that. We want
- 29:15Speaker 1: Celtics Lakers. But no, I mean, whoever we get, it'll
- 29:18Speaker 1: be it'll be a blessing to punish them in the
- 29:20Speaker 1: final for sure.
- 29:22Speaker 2: What is is there a team in the Eastern Conference? Look,
- 29:24Speaker 2: I know you're not worried about a team in the
- 29:25Speaker 2: Eastern Conference, but what is in your opinion, the biggest,
- 29:28Speaker 2: biggest challenge you're gonna face the cas Calves probably right, yeah, yeah, well.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Not the NIXT.
- 29:36Speaker 2: No disrespect.
- 29:36Speaker 1: I love New York I love New York Man, but
- 29:41Speaker 1: the Knicks they're just not it.
- 29:43Speaker 2: I don't think they They might not get out of
- 29:44Speaker 2: the first.
- 29:45Speaker 1: Round, the next the NIXT. Maybe in like five years
- 29:49Speaker 1: they're gonna have it.
- 29:50Speaker 2: Like, I wonder you are a ladies man. I al
- 29:54Speaker 2: would see you on Instagram with a plethora of young things.
- 29:58Speaker 2: Not young things, okay, properly aged things, nice thirty twenty nine,
- 30:03Speaker 2: thirty fours.
- 30:04Speaker 1: Yeah, I gotta rap, I said, I like a wholesome,
- 30:07Speaker 1: bad bitch that's approaching her thirties.
- 30:09Speaker 2: Perfect, all right, yeah, okay, yeah, yeah, I wonder what
- 30:14Speaker 2: because obviously you see what's going on with Shannon Sharp.
- 30:17Speaker 2: How careful are you about like making sure like women
- 30:20Speaker 2: who come around you ain't trying to set you up?
- 30:22Speaker 2: Because this is a thing that happens all the time
- 30:24Speaker 2: with artists and celebrities.
- 30:26Speaker 1: Yes, we'd like girls like filming you and stuff.
- 30:29Speaker 2: Have you ever been in that situation where you like
- 30:31Speaker 2: maybe woke up and the bitch was on her phone
- 30:33Speaker 2: like filming you or something.
- 30:36Speaker 1: I've never been in no type of sin and sob situations.
- 30:39Speaker 2: Not Shannon Sharp.
- 30:40Speaker 1: I just mean in general, clear me all the way
- 30:42Speaker 1: from put that over there, put that all the way
- 30:45Speaker 1: over that. I think every every woman that I deal with,
- 30:49Speaker 1: they'll say, you know, I'm even though it might seem
- 30:52Speaker 1: on Instagram I might come off disrespectful. Every woman that
- 30:56Speaker 1: I deal with will tell you Millies is one of
- 30:58Speaker 1: the most, you know, most nice, genuine people. Like I
- 31:04Speaker 1: don't even fall out with girls like that. A lot
- 31:07Speaker 1: of girls that I dealt with in life, we're still cool.
- 31:11Speaker 2: Yeah you know so.
- 31:14Speaker 1: But yeah, now I could tell like the cloud Chasers
- 31:17Speaker 1: that the second like, a girl asked me one time,
- 31:20Speaker 1: who's the most famous person in your in your phone?
- 31:24Speaker 1: And that just disgusted me, Like I get away from
- 31:26Speaker 1: those type of girls fast.
- 31:28Speaker 2: It's like, you gotta get the fuck out of here.
- 31:29Speaker 1: You gotta go now. She had to go that was it?
- 31:32Speaker 2: Like, what kind of question is?
- 31:34Speaker 1: Yeah? That question blew mint. We were in London. She said,
- 31:36Speaker 1: who's the most famous girl? Who's the most famous person
- 31:39Speaker 1: you got in your phone? I might have threw up.
- 31:42Speaker 2: That is crazy, Uh, what is the relationship like with
- 31:46Speaker 2: speaking of famous people that you know? With with one
- 31:49Speaker 2: of the greatest whites of all time, Mark Wahlberg. He's
- 31:51Speaker 2: a big fan, just a solid guy.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Mark is like Mark's a real say, he's somebody who
- 32:01Speaker 1: doesn't need anything from anybody.
- 32:03Speaker 2: I feel like he's gonna put you in a movie soon,
- 32:05Speaker 2: I hope.
- 32:06Speaker 1: So I never I got this thing. I never asked
- 32:09Speaker 1: my my big lit friends for anything, right, you know,
- 32:13Speaker 1: just good. I know a bunch of billionaires and shit.
- 32:15Speaker 1: So like the other day we were at the Celtics.
- 32:19Speaker 1: I was courtsied at the Celtics. I told all I
- 32:23Speaker 1: saw like all my guys, I said, courts eyed with it.
- 32:26Speaker 1: They're up like real significant money and all I had
- 32:29Speaker 1: crazy watches on. I just took a flick all the watch.
- 32:32Speaker 1: I didn't even put my shit in there because it's
- 32:33Speaker 1: a bust down. I'm like, I gotta have like a plan,
- 32:36Speaker 1: you know, even on my ship fifty five thousand. But
- 32:39Speaker 1: it was like, man, I couldn't even put it in
- 32:41Speaker 1: the picture. But I got all. I got a bunch
- 32:43Speaker 1: of people's contacts, and I don't really ask him for anything.
- 32:46Speaker 1: So I try to keep it like that with Mark
- 32:48Speaker 1: because he's so genuine. Like Mark then facetimeed my mom
- 32:51Speaker 1: and chopped it up and Mark. Mark actually put me
- 32:55Speaker 1: and Joyan and Lucas's relationship together.
- 32:58Speaker 2: That's dope.
- 32:58Speaker 1: Yeah, so me and j ain't and never really used
- 33:02Speaker 1: to chopping and Mark was like, now, y'all gotta work together.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Y'all get stronger bout together. But yeah, it's crazy. He's
- 33:10Speaker 1: a real, you know, aless celebrity, but he's a street guy,
- 33:14Speaker 1: like in his heart and you know, he really comes
- 33:18Speaker 1: from like trenches.
- 33:20Speaker 2: And for better or worse, at a certain point in time,
- 33:23Speaker 2: was the most popping rapper in Boston.
- 33:25Speaker 1: Hell yeah, back in the day. Hell yeah. He tries
- 33:29Speaker 1: to downplay his rap career.
- 33:31Speaker 2: It's almost like he tries to act like it never existed.
- 33:33Speaker 1: Well, no, he'll come around and he'll be like, we
- 33:34Speaker 1: got Millie's man, Millie's going crazy. You know, I was
- 33:37Speaker 1: a corny rapper, But I don't think he was a
- 33:39Speaker 1: corny rap. I don't think there's nothing corny about him.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Bros during that era. I think Mark is a stand
- 33:44Speaker 1: up guy. The streets love Mark. Like that's another thing.
- 33:47Speaker 1: Like when I'm when I'm with Mark, like I get
- 33:51Speaker 1: the craziest calls from rappers, like, hell, tell Mark, I'm
- 33:54Speaker 1: a fan bro like dude the zip lean all day
- 33:56Speaker 1: and don't even pay attention to society and should hit
- 33:59Speaker 1: me and like, yo, tell Mark im Afan like he's
- 34:02Speaker 1: nationally beloved. Man.
- 34:04Speaker 2: How far ahead do you think about, like in terms
- 34:08Speaker 2: of like planning, whether it's hey, all right, cool, block
- 34:12Speaker 2: O seven's out? Do you already got the next two
- 34:14Speaker 2: or three things figured out? Are you thinking five years ahead?
- 34:16Speaker 2: Or you think like, like how far ahead are you planning?
- 34:18Speaker 1: Like, because I really think like I didn't expect to
- 34:23Speaker 1: live this long, so I planned like two three months. Yeah,
- 34:27Speaker 1: Like I always. I always had this weird thing I
- 34:29Speaker 1: thought I was gonna die. Like my friend died when
- 34:34Speaker 1: I was like fifteen, and it just happened like we
- 34:37Speaker 1: were in the park one night and he died that
- 34:39Speaker 1: next morning, you know what I mean. And I looked
- 34:42Speaker 1: at him in the coffin like a week later, and
- 34:45Speaker 1: I just from there I was like, oh, oh you
- 34:47Speaker 1: die before eighteen. I was just like in my mind
- 34:50Speaker 1: like because this was the person I talk to every day,
- 34:52Speaker 1: my best friend. So I always just felt like I'm
- 34:56Speaker 1: not gonna live that long. And I kind of like
- 34:58Speaker 1: romanticized it, Like you get a lot of I don't.
- 35:03Speaker 1: I don't know how to say. It's like, when you die,
- 35:06Speaker 1: your ship is like it's lit for you, especially if
- 35:09Speaker 1: you don't got a lot going on. Now that I
- 35:10Speaker 1: got a lot going on, I don't want. Yeah, And
- 35:15Speaker 1: now the way that the Internet goes is like, man,
- 35:19Speaker 1: they talking crazy about people when they die. That ain't
- 35:22Speaker 1: used to happen back in the day. But yeah, I
- 35:25Speaker 1: say that to say, like I plan, I plan far
- 35:27Speaker 1: ahead and I'm trying to and that's where the catalog
- 35:31Speaker 1: talks and all of that, Like you know that that'll
- 35:33Speaker 1: be I'm cool with whenever I check out like I
- 35:35Speaker 1: had a blast, right, you know. But yeah, I don't plan,
- 35:40Speaker 1: Like I don't have no five year plans. My plan
- 35:43Speaker 1: is just to run up the bag as much as
- 35:45Speaker 1: possible because it's this shit could be over today.
- 35:49Speaker 2: We'll look Blanco seven is out, go support that ship.
- 35:53Speaker 1: Seven.
- 35:54Speaker 2: We're gonna have you and the homies wrap separate YouTube
- 35:57Speaker 2: video because I know you got to get a flight,
- 35:59Speaker 2: but yo, go get that album, Man, get the Owl,
- 36:01Speaker 2: get the album. Millise my Dog
