- 0:21Speaker 1: Welcome to Eagles postgame analysis here at the Philadelphia Sports
- 0:24Speaker 1: Table podcast show, the longest running weekly Philly sports podcast
- 0:27Speaker 1: show in the world. Week two of the Philadelphia Eagles
- 0:31Speaker 1: twenty twenty four twenty twenty five season is now in
- 0:34Speaker 1: the books. They lose their first home game of the
- 0:37Speaker 1: season at the Link to the Atlanta Falcons by a
- 0:40Speaker 1: score of twenty two to twenty one. One in one
- 0:44Speaker 1: on the season. A fucking embarrassment. Yeah, this is explicit,
- 0:49Speaker 1: a fucking embarrassment within a minute in five seconds in
- 0:54Speaker 1: the fourth quarter. My gosh, this Eagles defense absolutely stinks.
- 0:58Speaker 1: We're certainly going to be getting into it. I'm Jeff Warren.
- 1:01Speaker 1: I am here with my good buddy friend of the pod.
- 1:05Speaker 1: You've heard him before on here from the honorable mentioned
- 1:07Speaker 1: podcast again, real good friend of us here, Matt Rodgers.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Matt buddy, thanks so much for jumping on the pod here, man,
- 1:14Speaker 1: I really appreciate it filling in for the guys. And
- 1:18Speaker 1: I thought we were gonna be having a different conversation.
- 1:20Speaker 2: I really did.
- 1:20Speaker 3: I thought we usually do.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Yeah. I thought I come on to.
- 1:23Speaker 3: W yes, I mean we're yeah exactly.
- 1:26Speaker 1: I had a prediction, a scoring prediction of this game
- 1:29Speaker 1: where it was gonna be thirty. I'm laughing at my
- 1:33Speaker 1: prediction thirty four to sixteen, my own, good lord, I
- 1:37Speaker 1: was certainly wrong. Wasn't even in the realm of what
- 1:41Speaker 1: my scoring prediction was. As you all know, we go
- 1:45Speaker 1: through our themes of this game, and then we grade
- 1:47Speaker 1: each unit. Matt, I'm gonna let you start off in
- 1:50Speaker 1: terms of the themes because I do have some notes
- 1:52Speaker 1: that I wrote throughout the game.
- 1:54Speaker 3: So they just one just came to me and it's fresh, folks.
- 1:57Speaker 3: I did not plan this, didn't write it. I got
- 1:59Speaker 3: a pin in my hand, but I did not write
- 2:01Speaker 3: this one. But since we're gonna start, we're gonna start
- 2:03Speaker 3: Spooky season early, or we're gonna call it the disappearance.
- 2:07Speaker 3: Oh Bryce huff, Oh dude, yeah, HSI man.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Yes, Well, here's the thing.
- 2:11Speaker 1: I don't even know if it was disappearance because he's
- 2:13Speaker 1: never shown up.
- 2:14Speaker 2: That's the thing.
- 2:15Speaker 1: He hasn't shown up yet, so I don't even know
- 2:18Speaker 1: how he can disappear. It's just not doing nothing at
- 2:22Speaker 1: this point.
- 2:23Speaker 3: You know that he placed that tonight? I could I
- 2:25Speaker 3: saw a zero on the field, yes? Or was that
- 2:28Speaker 3: just the goose eggs on the scoreboard.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 2:30Speaker 1: There you go, There you go. I have no idea
- 2:33Speaker 1: what's happening with this pass rush? Starting off with the defense.
- 2:36Speaker 1: I mean that's a huge theme. Exactly, Josh Sweat not
- 2:39Speaker 1: doing a whole lot of anything. I mean, beg is
- 2:42Speaker 1: God bless him. We love him.
- 2:43Speaker 3: He's the best pass rusher and he's eighty years old.
- 2:46Speaker 3: Sorry for everybody's ears. Turn it down because we're pissed. Yes,
- 2:49Speaker 3: and we should be, and you are to. BG is
- 2:53Speaker 3: the best freaking pass rusher on this team right now. Yes, yes,
- 2:57Speaker 3: at thirty eight million years old.
- 2:59Speaker 1: We have a guy named Jalen Carter who's supposed to
- 3:02Speaker 1: be fantastic. We have a we have Jordan Davis who's
- 3:05Speaker 1: supposed to be found another non factor in this defensive line.
- 3:10Speaker 1: The defensive line is a non factor for the Philadelphia Eagles.
- 3:13Speaker 1: After Week two, here Smith, we burned? What didn't we burn?
- 3:17Speaker 1: At number thirty on Nolan Smith? Dude, Nolan Smith got
- 3:20Speaker 1: the shit kicked out of him on one play.
- 3:23Speaker 2: It was he was just trying, he was just trying.
- 3:26Speaker 1: To get her around the guy the tackle into the
- 3:29Speaker 1: backfield and he just fell on his ass. I'm not
- 3:32Speaker 1: sure if anybody saw that out there too, but I
- 3:34Speaker 1: was like, you've got to be kidding me. How is
- 3:36Speaker 1: this happening here? I mean, we're really really missing Hassan Reddick.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Who am really missing Hassan Reddick? And guess what Hassan
- 3:43Speaker 1: Redick is missing playing football on a football field. It's
- 3:47Speaker 1: h It's eat me alive, buddy, it's eating me alive.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Man. I don't want to go because because I'm still
- 3:54Speaker 3: at a visceral level. Because Hassan Reddick, I actually feel sad.
- 3:57Speaker 3: And that's like an actually like sad football store. Yes
- 4:00Speaker 3: that I feel like he's getting screwed by his agent.
- 4:03Speaker 3: I think his agent's telling him his market value is
- 4:07Speaker 3: somewhere where it is not. Yeah, yeah, And so that's
- 4:10Speaker 3: the reason he's not playing. He might have made a difference.
- 4:13Speaker 3: I mean, they lose to the Falcons by one point.
- 4:15Speaker 3: Can we talk about Can we just move to theme two? Yes,
- 4:18Speaker 3: the dumbass, the dumbass decision when you're up fifteen to
- 4:24Speaker 3: eighteen with the other team reeling on defense. Yes, if
- 4:29Speaker 3: you score, if you make the field goal, great, Jake
- 4:31Speaker 3: Elliott feels great. Great, great, this is Madden. We built
- 4:35Speaker 3: the momentum. Bar up. Let's get back to real football
- 4:38Speaker 3: where the score they have to still just score a
- 4:41Speaker 3: touchdown and score extra point and they win the game. Yes,
- 4:44Speaker 3: and it happens. I'm sitting there and I'm texting about
- 4:47Speaker 3: this is a dumb ass decision. If you miss it,
- 4:50Speaker 3: if you don't get it, you're inside the fifteen. You
- 4:53Speaker 3: pin them back. They don't have timeouts. Right under two
- 4:57Speaker 3: minutes with no timeouts, you pin him a under the
- 5:00Speaker 3: fifteen or you you you kick it out to the
- 5:03Speaker 3: thirty and then you play. I mean, is this Fangio?
- 5:07Speaker 3: Is this Schwartz? I mean, what the worst of Gannon?
- 5:10Speaker 3: That last yeah, defensive stand is just mind blowing.
- 5:15Speaker 1: On fourth down on fourth down, Matt, they were two
- 5:18Speaker 1: of three. It's not like they were oh and three.
- 5:21Speaker 1: It's not like the stats were saying, no, we should
- 5:24Speaker 1: not be going for it here on fourth down. They
- 5:26Speaker 1: were two for three on fourth down.
- 5:29Speaker 3: And it's fourth and three exactly. You take any team
- 5:32Speaker 3: in the league, everybody wants to have the Eagles.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Yes, absolutely, and and and yes.
- 5:37Speaker 1: While I loved what he did in this game, and
- 5:40Speaker 1: he was absolutely fantastic and brilliant running behind that offensive line,
- 5:45Speaker 1: Saquon Barkley not being able to pull in that little
- 5:49Speaker 1: pass in the flats right off his fingertips.
- 5:52Speaker 3: That was huge.
- 5:53Speaker 2: It seems like a small thing.
- 5:54Speaker 1: But it was huge. He would have had the first down. Bam,
- 5:57Speaker 1: that would have been it. That would have been it, Matt,
- 5:59Speaker 1: that would have been That would have been the game.
- 6:00Speaker 1: And I'm sorry, I am on the Nick bandwagon. I'm
- 6:04Speaker 1: staying on even after this bullshit. But for the CEO, coach,
- 6:10Speaker 1: you cannot lose this game on that kind of decision
- 6:14Speaker 1: because that's a Vib's move. Yes, a kwan drops the
- 6:18Speaker 1: throw on third and then you send out that you
- 6:20Speaker 1: run out the kicking unit for a chippy.
- 6:23Speaker 3: That puts you down. Okay, the team still has to
- 6:26Speaker 3: drive the length to the field and then you allow them.
- 6:29Speaker 3: So you've made a bad decision. Yes, your decision. You
- 6:33Speaker 3: secured what you wanted to happen. You said, I'll let
- 6:37Speaker 3: drive the length of the field. You have the Braden
- 6:40Speaker 3: man apparently who's doing the he's the on side specialist.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Kick it into the end zone and they take it
- 6:46Speaker 3: from the thirty. You say, no matter what, they're not
- 6:48Speaker 3: going to get seventy yards. They get seventy yards, seventy
- 6:52Speaker 3: yards with no timeouts. Yeah, that's what just happened. Absolutely football, Absolutely,
- 6:58Speaker 3: and look too.
- 7:00Speaker 1: You know, as much as I hate to give the
- 7:01Speaker 1: Falcons any sort of credit here, the one fact remains
- 7:06Speaker 1: is that the Falcons went five straight quarters. Their defense
- 7:09Speaker 1: went five straight quarters matt without giving up a touchdown,
- 7:13Speaker 1: all four quarters last week against Pittsburgh. I know it's Pittsburgh,
- 7:16Speaker 1: they have their own issues. Still, it's the NFL. There's
- 7:19Speaker 1: a decent amount of talent on talent on these fields.
- 7:22Speaker 1: But all four quarters last week against Pittsburgh, the first
- 7:25Speaker 1: quarter against the Eagles in their house at the Link tonight.
- 7:29Speaker 1: That all ended, of course, when Davante Smith caught that
- 7:31Speaker 1: touchdown reception from Jalen Hurts in the second quarter. But
- 7:35Speaker 1: it was a very good Atlanta defense that we saw playing,
- 7:40Speaker 1: and I was very shocked that some adjustments weren't necessarily made.
- 7:45Speaker 1: And I also wonder too, another theme of this game,
- 7:50Speaker 1: aj Brown not playing, how much of that was an
- 7:54Speaker 1: impact on this team. DeVante's Smithson. Yeah, I spit that
- 7:58Speaker 1: ten targets. Ye had ten targets, came tow with seven
- 8:00Speaker 1: balls for seventy six yards. He averaged ten point nine
- 8:03Speaker 1: yards per reception and a touchdown. Next on the list
- 8:07Speaker 1: was Britton Covey with six targets. He came down with
- 8:10Speaker 1: all six, but for only twenty three yards. Dallas Goddard
- 8:13Speaker 1: had only four targets in this game, and he came
- 8:15Speaker 1: down with three balls for thirty eight yards. I have
- 8:18Speaker 1: an issue with where the passing game went in this game.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Even not having aj Brown, it was huge not having him.
- 8:24Speaker 3: It was we're ripping the band aid off. Yes, we're
- 8:27Speaker 3: ripping guys, Jeff, I'm just gonna go there go. Dallas
- 8:30Speaker 3: Gotter is not an elite tight end in this league.
- 8:33Speaker 3: And people can clip this up and say, whatever the
- 8:35Speaker 3: hell you want to me. Watch that guy. He's not
- 8:38Speaker 3: getting any separation. You line him up next to damn
- 8:41Speaker 3: zach Ertz right now and tell me who's getting more separation.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Ertz had a great game this past week, the Commander's uniform.
- 8:48Speaker 1: He had a really good He had a nice game.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Mack Ertz a eighty eight million years old ye as well.
- 8:53Speaker 3: He is creating separation. There's there. It's different than It's
- 8:56Speaker 3: not Madden, folks. Madden's fun, but it's not just your
- 9:00Speaker 3: character traits. Dallas Goddard is not giving Jalen hurts and
- 9:04Speaker 3: when he is getting receptions, it's these bullshit ass since
- 9:09Speaker 3: we're just going there, yeahs, these bullshit ass motions and
- 9:13Speaker 3: then a little four yard sweep into the flash flat
- 9:16Speaker 3: is essentially a running play. Like Dallas Goddard is a
- 9:20Speaker 3: non factor in this. In the building of this team,
- 9:24Speaker 3: did not take into account that. Okay, let's assume Dallas
- 9:29Speaker 3: Goddard gets stays healthy for a whole season, which usually
- 9:33Speaker 3: does it. Okay, you have a second Titan. If you
- 9:36Speaker 3: go to twelve personnel, who the hell is respecting Grant Calcatara, Yeah,
- 9:39Speaker 3: one third and nine exactly exactly.
- 9:42Speaker 2: You make a great point.
- 9:43Speaker 1: And I'm gonna tell folks this who have been listening
- 9:45Speaker 1: to this podcast platform, our Eagle season preview and the
- 9:48Speaker 1: week's leading up to it. What was I talking about
- 9:50Speaker 1: with Dallas Goddard The fact that over the past three
- 9:53Speaker 1: years he has been trending downwards his yards. I mean, yes,
- 9:57Speaker 1: he's only catching three four touchdowns per season. His yards
- 10:00Speaker 1: have been trending down down, down by at least one hundred,
- 10:03Speaker 1: one hundred and fifty yards per season. We're seeing how
- 10:06Speaker 1: much of a non factory is as Matt was just outlining.
- 10:09Speaker 1: I mean, it's something we need to keep in mind
- 10:11Speaker 1: moving forward as we're looking at this offense trying to
- 10:13Speaker 1: find some answers when they're getting slow starts, or you
- 10:16Speaker 1: just don't understand why Nick Sirian he's making the decisions
- 10:19Speaker 1: he's making, or even Jalen Hurts in terms of why
- 10:22Speaker 1: he isn't getting the ball to Dallas Goddard. I think
- 10:24Speaker 1: we're starting to see the reasons why Matt and I
- 10:27Speaker 1: just that drive that they had in the fourth that
- 10:32Speaker 1: nine minute and thirty second drive in the fourth that
- 10:36Speaker 1: led Jalen Hurts to a brotherly shove and Sekuon going
- 10:40Speaker 1: in for the two point conversion. It was a seventeen play,
- 10:44Speaker 1: seventy yard drive and it was such a tremendous drive
- 10:48Speaker 1: for the Eagles, and I was thinking at the time,
- 10:52Speaker 1: it goes to show that this team is ready to
- 10:54Speaker 1: put the end of last season that collapse behind them.
- 10:58Speaker 1: That's what I was thinking the whole time. And then
- 11:01Speaker 1: for the defense to absolutely shit the bed the way
- 11:04Speaker 1: that they did in a minute and five seconds in
- 11:07Speaker 1: the fourth quarter to Kirk Cousins of all people, and
- 11:11Speaker 1: Drake Lundon.
- 11:11Speaker 3: I think I think they've got to throw it out
- 11:14Speaker 3: of the DNA. I think that Nick loves it, and
- 11:17Speaker 3: I get it. I mean, it's pretty cool sometimes when
- 11:20Speaker 3: it's third and eleven in the Eagles, you know, say,
- 11:22Speaker 3: you know what, I'm gonna run QB draw and Jalen
- 11:25Speaker 3: gets thirty two. You know, that's cool. It's every now
- 11:28Speaker 3: and then. But I think that this team, while Nick
- 11:32Speaker 3: isn't drawing up the exact blaze, there's a mentality and
- 11:35Speaker 3: there's a way that he wants this team to be
- 11:38Speaker 3: coached up in a way that they do things. And
- 11:41Speaker 3: so I think that, you know, we are two committed
- 11:44Speaker 3: at times to not putting the ball in Jalen's hands. Yeah,
- 11:49Speaker 3: and then at the end of the game he goes
- 11:51Speaker 3: and shows you. I mean that that decision to throw
- 11:54Speaker 3: the ball to DeVante there it makes me, even as
- 11:57Speaker 3: a Jalen supporter, you know, a diehard Jalen supporter, it
- 12:01Speaker 3: makes me feel that he's not seeing the field. He's
- 12:06Speaker 3: he's decided, he's pre deciding when the play starts, I'm
- 12:10Speaker 3: going here, I'll look here. But at the end of
- 12:13Speaker 3: the day, and and it always ends invariably ends up
- 12:16Speaker 3: being DeVante or aj And it doesn't help when in
- 12:19Speaker 3: the media all week you're telling everybody in the damn
- 12:21Speaker 3: world our offense runs through Ajdavante. So when the big
- 12:24Speaker 3: plays come up, why would why would I not roll coverage?
- 12:30Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 12:30Speaker 3: Why would I not triple coverage Davante? Like on the
- 12:34Speaker 3: pick that Jalen threw in the middle of the field
- 12:36Speaker 3: in Brazil on that early in the first quarter, on
- 12:39Speaker 3: a big play like that. If he if I'm watching
- 12:42Speaker 3: Jalen stare him down, I'm gonna bring I'm gonna roll
- 12:45Speaker 3: over as well. I might not have even been covering
- 12:47Speaker 3: Ajir DeVante, but I'm watching Jalen. You're staring the guy down.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, watch it, Matt.
- 12:53Speaker 1: We've seen that on a number of occasions throughout the
- 12:56Speaker 1: past few years. We've seen that decision. We've seen that
- 13:00Speaker 1: those eyes going towards Davante or a j Brown from
- 13:03Speaker 1: Jalen hurts. I love the guy and I'm gonna continue
- 13:06Speaker 1: to defend him and boy and our mentions. We had
- 13:08Speaker 1: some people shit talking him and stuff. He had a
- 13:10Speaker 1: damn good game. He actually had a damn good game,
- 13:12Speaker 1: except like right there at the end, he actually had
- 13:14Speaker 1: a really good overall football game. And I'm not gonna
- 13:18Speaker 1: sit here and bash him, but we have seen more
- 13:22Speaker 1: on more than a few occasions at the end of
- 13:24Speaker 1: the game when they're trying to get the ball down
- 13:26Speaker 1: the field a few seconds left, we have seen that
- 13:29Speaker 1: decision making. I don't know how he goes by, yeah,
- 13:32Speaker 1: I don't know how he goes about eliminating that. And
- 13:36Speaker 1: maybe it's guys like we're talking about Dallas Goddard maybe
- 13:38Speaker 1: getting some separation every now and again.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Maybe it's them, you.
- 13:41Speaker 3: Know, trusting a guy like Johan Dotson, who you know
- 13:45Speaker 3: isn't necessarily been on the team now for for a
- 13:48Speaker 3: long One catch in two games, by the way, yeah
- 13:50Speaker 3: one catch. Yes, after he has he's the same number
- 13:55Speaker 3: of starts as.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Catches, yes, yeah, yes.
- 14:01Speaker 1: And it's it's just a frustrating postgame show, folks. It's
- 14:05Speaker 1: a frustrating postgame show here. And it's like, you know,
- 14:09Speaker 1: you've got CJ. Gardner Johnson who got me all love
- 14:12Speaker 1: and we love that he's back there at safety. We
- 14:14Speaker 1: love the intensity, the leadership, we love what he brings
- 14:17Speaker 1: to the defense because they've absolutely needed that presence in
- 14:21Speaker 1: the safety room. But man, with and on that tackle
- 14:25Speaker 1: to to give up that first touchdown. That that was
- 14:28Speaker 1: such a kick in the nuts.
- 14:29Speaker 2: It really was.
- 14:31Speaker 1: And it's like, man, those again, it's the little tiny
- 14:34Speaker 1: things quote, little tiny things that happened in this game.
- 14:37Speaker 1: A drop pass from Saquon, a bad and poor tackle
- 14:41Speaker 1: by CJ. Gardner, Johnson, Dallas Gottner, not getting separation on
- 14:45Speaker 1: a key third down play. These tiny little things just snowballed.
- 14:49Speaker 3: And it's why the ineligible man downfield, Oh my god, guess.
- 14:55Speaker 1: That was in my notes. That was in my I mean,
- 14:57Speaker 1: the penalties on this Eagles offensive line. Our grades are
- 14:59Speaker 1: gonna be interesting, I think for the offensive line, too
- 15:02Speaker 1: many holding calls. Three ineligible man downfield penalties, two on
- 15:08Speaker 1: Cam Jurgens, one on Lane Johnson, and Troy Aikman actually
- 15:11Speaker 1: said during the broadcast, I'm not sure. I think it
- 15:13Speaker 1: was Troy Aikman that said it. You almost never saw
- 15:15Speaker 1: these type of penalties called years ago, before the RPO
- 15:19Speaker 1: really came into effect in the NFL. Then defensive coordinators
- 15:23Speaker 1: just started whining and bitching, and you know here we
- 15:25Speaker 1: are today.
- 15:26Speaker 2: I mean, those.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Penalties took away some first downs too. So it's again
- 15:30Speaker 1: the little things in this game that just completely snowballed here.
- 15:34Speaker 1: I don't know, do you have any other themes here
- 15:36Speaker 1: before we go to a break and then we get
- 15:38Speaker 1: to the grades.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Uh, I mean so frustrating.
- 15:43Speaker 3: The good thing is that it looks like the Saints
- 15:46Speaker 3: like to attack through the air, and so far the
- 15:49Speaker 3: Eagles pass defense does.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Look pretty good.
- 15:52Speaker 3: They stood up pretty well against the Packers, even though
- 15:55Speaker 3: they shot themselves in the foot except.
- 15:57Speaker 1: For a minute five seconds at the end of the game,
- 15:59Speaker 1: they look like dog shit. Sorry, sorry, Matt's laughing.
- 16:04Speaker 3: Other than that, other than other than the last minute
- 16:07Speaker 3: in some change there for for fifty for fifty eight minutes,
- 16:13Speaker 3: the past defense looked pretty good today.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Alvin Kamara is going to be a problem next week.
- 16:20Speaker 3: This run defense is horrible and what the hell? All right,
- 16:23Speaker 3: one more theme?
- 16:24Speaker 2: There you go.
- 16:24Speaker 3: You brought that to my mind. Yes, we are seeing
- 16:28Speaker 3: a lot of Thomas Booker the fourth, all respect on
- 16:31Speaker 3: his name. That's great, you know, practice squad guy. He
- 16:35Speaker 3: made it his way up and you want to see
- 16:37Speaker 3: guys advance. But let's be clear who Thomas Booker the
- 16:44Speaker 3: freaking fourth? People on major downs. This is a team, Yeah,
- 16:49Speaker 3: this is a team. With Super Bowl aspirations with Who
- 16:54Speaker 3: and Milton Williams making place. You should know Milton Williams.
- 16:58Speaker 3: You listen to the show, you should know Miltonilliams. He's
- 17:00Speaker 3: a player. There were social media moments and he actually
- 17:04Speaker 3: has legitimately good tape Thomas Booker the Fourth on some
- 17:08Speaker 3: of the biggest plays of the day that says it
- 17:11Speaker 3: all about how this defensive line is playing. I hear
- 17:14Speaker 3: all this rotation. Shit, okay, cool, when the chips are down,
- 17:19Speaker 3: Thomas Brooker the fourth is on the field, folks.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Yes, and they've always done the rotation. What's it getting
- 17:23Speaker 1: them this year? What is it getting them this year?
- 17:25Speaker 1: It's a it's a hindrance. It's the Achilles heel of year.
- 17:28Speaker 3: Matt. It's a crush for for Jordan Davis not stepping
- 17:33Speaker 3: up to the plate.
- 17:33Speaker 2: There you go.
- 17:34Speaker 3: I'm calling you out. I'm calling you out. You I
- 17:36Speaker 3: ain't seen shit from you exactly. You can probably eat
- 17:38Speaker 3: me for dinner. But but I'm gonna say it. It's true.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Yes, he'll eat both of us for dinner. Seriously, Yes,
- 17:47Speaker 1: we'll squash my hand hungry, Yes.
- 17:49Speaker 3: And still be hungry. But the truth is the truth.
- 17:52Speaker 3: When it comes down to third down and one. Where
- 17:55Speaker 3: are you at, Jordan, Yep? I need to see it
- 17:58Speaker 3: absolutely absolutely.
- 18:00Speaker 1: All right, Well, we're gonna we're gonna try to cool
- 18:02Speaker 1: down a little bit here.
- 18:03Speaker 2: We are gonna take a quick break.
- 18:05Speaker 1: We're gonna be back in just a bit, folks, and
- 18:07Speaker 1: we're gonna get into our grades as we do on
- 18:09Speaker 1: every Eagles postgame show.
- 18:11Speaker 2: We'll be back in just a bit.
- 18:13Speaker 1: All right, we are back again here with Matt Rodgers
- 18:16Speaker 1: from the Honorable Mention Podcast. I subscribe on Apple Podcast,
- 18:19Speaker 1: and I would highly recommend you subscribe on whatever podcast
- 18:22Speaker 1: platform you're listening to us on right now. It's great
- 18:26Speaker 1: the quarterback position. Gonna get into these grades grading Jalen Hurts.
- 18:31Speaker 1: I will grade Jalen Hurts with I mean, the interception
- 18:35Speaker 1: at the end of the game was absolutely huge, but
- 18:37Speaker 1: like I said earlier, he had a pretty damn good
- 18:40Speaker 1: game of football overall. With eighty five yards on the
- 18:42Speaker 1: ground one hundred and eighty three yards in the air.
- 18:45Speaker 1: He ended with an eighty eight point six rating. He
- 18:48Speaker 1: averaged six point one yards per attempt, not the greatest
- 18:52Speaker 1: number there, one touchdown, one interception, He was only sacked once,
- 18:56Speaker 1: went twenty three of thirty. I'm gonna give Jalen Hurts
- 18:59Speaker 1: a B minus this week.
- 19:01Speaker 2: What do you give him?
- 19:02Speaker 3: Matt?
- 19:02Speaker 2: Maybe I'm being a little rough on him, but U
- 19:05Speaker 2: B mind, I gotta give him.
- 19:06Speaker 3: I give him the same grade. Okay, that the interception
- 19:09Speaker 3: at the end. I'm sorry, but but but that eighty
- 19:12Speaker 3: sixth grade? Was that a QBR or was that quarterback grade?
- 19:15Speaker 3: That was just a rule out of one hundred and
- 19:18Speaker 3: fifty eight point three? Okay? Yeah, yeah, through the air
- 19:21Speaker 3: he was that throat. The touchdown throw to DeVante was
- 19:25Speaker 3: really good. Yes, you know he's not working with a
- 19:29Speaker 3: ton out there. I mean I saw a Paris Campbell sighting.
- 19:32Speaker 3: I knew that it was. It was it was a
- 19:35Speaker 3: it was a run on that play. Yeah, I saw
- 19:38Speaker 3: a lot of Johnny Wilson. Yes, I'm still perplexed about
- 19:41Speaker 3: the Johnny Wilson and we're we're committed to Johnny Wilson
- 19:44Speaker 3: not being a tight end. Johnny Wilson with a huge hold.
- 19:47Speaker 3: He's what seven foot seven foot ten and he's he's
- 19:51Speaker 3: holding like that and he doesn't think he's gonna get caught.
- 19:54Speaker 3: Come on, and he already and he already won the
- 19:56Speaker 3: I mean he yes, slew the guy clear out of
- 19:59Speaker 3: the play. I mean the I was like ten yards
- 20:01Speaker 3: away exactly, but he was like he said to that,
- 20:03Speaker 3: he said to the defender, fuck you, I'm gonna just
- 20:05Speaker 3: lift you up.
- 20:06Speaker 1: I'm just gonna lift you up off the ground. Here,
- 20:08Speaker 1: how do you like them apples? That's cameraman. Did you
- 20:10Speaker 1: get a good enough shot of this? Yes? Hey, you
- 20:15Speaker 1: over there, you see me exactly. I'm Johnny Wilson, son
- 20:19Speaker 1: of a bitch. Anyway, I've given Jalen Hurts some B
- 20:24Speaker 1: minus here, you give him a B minus as well.
- 20:28Speaker 2: We're on the same Yes, all right.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Running backs, we got Saquon Barkley, who had a really
- 20:33Speaker 1: nice game. I mean he had offensive line. There were
- 20:35Speaker 1: some offensive line issues in terms of blocking every now
- 20:37Speaker 1: and again. He ended the day twenty two carries. They
- 20:41Speaker 1: are feeding him. They are feeding him through two weeks,
- 20:43Speaker 1: twenty two carries, ninety five yards four point three yards
- 20:47Speaker 1: per per carry overall with Kenneth Gainwell and Jalen Hurts.
- 20:52Speaker 1: The rushing on the day one hundred and eighty six
- 20:54Speaker 1: yards for a total of five yards per carry and
- 20:57Speaker 1: a touchdown with Jalen Hurts I'm gonna give the running backs.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Kenny Gainwell only carried the ball twice for six yards.
- 21:03Speaker 1: He was a non factor overall. I'm going to give
- 21:05Speaker 1: the running back situation. I'm gonna give it a B plus.
- 21:09Speaker 1: It would have been an It would have been a
- 21:10Speaker 1: straight up A if Saquon Barkley had to cast that
- 21:13Speaker 1: ball at the end, really, because the game would have
- 21:15Speaker 1: been over.
- 21:16Speaker 2: The Eagles would have won.
- 21:17Speaker 1: We would have been having a much different conversation right now,
- 21:20Speaker 1: quite frankly, in a lot of situations.
- 21:22Speaker 2: But I'm going B plus for Saquon. What do you
- 21:24Speaker 2: give him?
- 21:26Speaker 3: I'll go with a b. Okay that that that superstars
- 21:29Speaker 3: He's supposed to be a superstar, you know, people talking
- 21:32Speaker 3: about him, dark horse, MVP candidate. He's got to make
- 21:36Speaker 3: that play that. There were a couple of runs where
- 21:39Speaker 3: I feel like that he left some some meat still
- 21:43Speaker 3: on the bone there. Some of that was the offensive
- 21:45Speaker 3: line still holding, you know, Elis Man down field a
- 21:47Speaker 3: bunch of something I called back. I would still give
- 21:50Speaker 3: him a beat today.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Though. Sounds good all right.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Receivers including that's wide receivers and tight ends. As we
- 21:56Speaker 1: know again, I mentioned DeVante Smith's numbers earlier, Dallas got
- 21:59Speaker 1: or Spritin Covees Sakwon Barkley had five targets in this game.
- 22:03Speaker 1: He came down with four balls for twenty one yards
- 22:05Speaker 1: as well. Grant Calcati was targeted twice, Johan Dotson once
- 22:09Speaker 1: and Johnny Wilson once. I'm gonn I'm gonna give the
- 22:11Speaker 1: receivers this week because, like I don't know, they were
- 22:14Speaker 1: only asked to do a certain amount in this game.
- 22:17Speaker 1: I'm gonna give them a B. And not having AJ
- 22:20Speaker 1: Brown there was huge, like we were talking about, I mean,
- 22:23Speaker 1: there was a significant difference and impact on this offense
- 22:27Speaker 1: not having AJ Brown on that field.
- 22:29Speaker 2: I'm gonna give the wa I'm gonna give the receivers
- 22:31Speaker 2: in general a B this week. What do you give them?
- 22:34Speaker 3: I got him a splay C plus and that's as
- 22:37Speaker 3: nice as I can be about it.
- 22:38Speaker 2: I'm breaking glass.
- 22:39Speaker 3: I'm really worried. Anytime AJ Brown's out, this wide receiver
- 22:44Speaker 3: room does not look good. I just gotta be honest,
- 22:46Speaker 3: all the way back to the playoff game before that,
- 22:49Speaker 3: every single time AJ Brown has to miss any significant
- 22:52Speaker 3: amount of time, this passing game does not look the same.
- 22:55Speaker 3: And that can be said when a lot of wide
- 22:57Speaker 3: receivers get out. But ugh, it really is not looking
- 23:01Speaker 3: good Johan Dotson, like I said earlier, with the same
- 23:04Speaker 3: a number of starts as receptions, it's not good. Yeah,
- 23:08Speaker 3: eighty three. We need to see a lot more and
- 23:11Speaker 3: Grant cal Katara getting way more catches than him. Yes,
- 23:15Speaker 3: that is not a good time.
- 23:16Speaker 2: It's not a good sign. I do notice.
- 23:19Speaker 1: I do notice in this Kellen Moore offense with regard
- 23:22Speaker 1: to the receivers, regard to Jalen Hurts throwing to those receivers,
- 23:26Speaker 1: Matt that we are seeing more intermediate routes being run
- 23:30Speaker 1: by the receivers and Jalen targeting them as well, not
- 23:33Speaker 1: as many as I want to see. I want to
- 23:34Speaker 1: see Johan Dottson go over Johan Dotson, Yeah, go over
- 23:39Speaker 1: the middle of the field, like on a mesh route
- 23:42Speaker 1: or something like that. We hardly see those type of plays.
- 23:45Speaker 1: I love mesh routes. You know, you get his speed
- 23:48Speaker 1: going across the field. We really haven't seen that, so
- 23:51Speaker 1: I feel where you're coming from in terms of that. See,
- 23:53Speaker 1: I think that is fair. Let's move to the offensive
- 23:57Speaker 1: line here. I have not given a a really bad
- 24:01Speaker 1: grade with the offensive line, I think in quite some time,
- 24:03Speaker 1: maybe there was one last year on this podcast platform,
- 24:07Speaker 1: but I'm giving this offensive line. I'm actually gonna give
- 24:10Speaker 1: them a C plus. And again the penalties, the holding penalties,
- 24:16Speaker 1: the ineligible man downfield penalties, you know that stuff that
- 24:20Speaker 1: shouldn't be happening. And I understand the RPO has changed
- 24:23Speaker 1: the game, as we were talking about earlier.
- 24:25Speaker 2: But you gotta clean this stuff up.
- 24:26Speaker 1: You don't see this stuff from other teams, like you know,
- 24:29Speaker 1: three ineligible man downfield penalties, and there were some issues
- 24:34Speaker 1: with run blocking here and there where Saquon Barkley was
- 24:37Speaker 1: only getting a yard or even behind the line as
- 24:40Speaker 1: well getting tackled behind the line as well. So I'm
- 24:43Speaker 1: gonna give them a C plus. Actually they did all
- 24:45Speaker 1: right and pass protection quite frankly, they did all right,
- 24:47Speaker 1: but I'm really disappointed overall on how they played.
- 24:50Speaker 2: I'm thinking it's a C plus grade. What do you think?
- 24:53Speaker 2: I agree with you.
- 24:54Speaker 3: I'm on the same grade. Okay, I have a standard
- 24:56Speaker 3: for this team. I mean yea, if I'm saying, if
- 24:58Speaker 3: I'm we're putting them on the AP plus scale when
- 25:00Speaker 3: we're running guys over for three hundred yards. I did
- 25:04Speaker 3: not see that. That offensive line did not appear on
- 25:07Speaker 3: the field tonight. So they're middle of the middle of
- 25:12Speaker 3: the ranking for tonight.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Okay, let's move to the defensive side of the ball.
- 25:16Speaker 1: The defensive line.
- 25:20Speaker 3: What defensive line?
- 25:21Speaker 2: Jeff, Oh my god, I.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Can't believe I'm gonna say this. I'm giving them an F.
- 25:25Speaker 1: They're getting an F. Matt, Holy shit, they're getting an F.
- 25:29Speaker 2: An F. There was no.
- 25:31Speaker 1: Redeeming quality to them, Like even when you look at
- 25:36Speaker 1: the box score, I mean, there were three tackles for
- 25:39Speaker 1: a loss. One came from Milton Williams, I believe it
- 25:42Speaker 1: or not, two came from that was a Thomas Booker.
- 25:46Speaker 3: I told you this is what I'm saying, folks. And
- 25:49Speaker 3: if you haven't listened since the commercial break, I know
- 25:51Speaker 3: we had a commercial break.
- 25:53Speaker 2: Look it up.
- 25:54Speaker 4: The guy nobody's listening to this, who's not like our
- 25:57Speaker 4: Eagles deeked out Nerd like knows who the hell we're
- 26:01Speaker 4: talking about, right led the team and tackles for loss?
- 26:04Speaker 1: Yep, buddy, there was only two quarterback hits. Two quarterback
- 26:09Speaker 1: hits when you've got Kirk Cousins back there, that's it.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Milton Williams had won. He was the best defender out there,
- 26:14Speaker 1: at least on the line. Milton Williams was today. Josh
- 26:17Speaker 1: Sweat had the other one, and he had four total
- 26:20Speaker 1: tackles on the deck.
- 26:21Speaker 3: Kirk Cousins coming off in Achilles, yes right, yes, who
- 26:25Speaker 3: said after the game, he's like, you know what, He's like,
- 26:27Speaker 3: it's been a challenge coming back after this injury.
- 26:32Speaker 1: He's like, it's been a challenge, he said. But then
- 26:33Speaker 1: things just started flowing in the fourth quarter, you know,
- 26:37Speaker 1: on that minute in five second.
- 26:38Speaker 3: Drive, and I think Kyle Pitts and you can't even
- 26:42Speaker 3: say that Kyle Pitts was cooking because Kyle Pitts is
- 26:44Speaker 3: in got in the one reception club, I believe as well.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Yeah, he was targeted for one year.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Yeah, Kyle Pitts four targets. He came down with three
- 26:53Speaker 1: balls for twenty yards. Okay, three for twelve. Sorry I
- 26:57Speaker 1: disrespected him.
- 26:58Speaker 3: That Pits also a non factor tonight. So I mean,
- 27:02Speaker 3: I just don't know what the hell is going on
- 27:03Speaker 3: with the defensive line. We're pus. I mean, this is
- 27:05Speaker 3: what our biggest eight year after year after year, you know,
- 27:08Speaker 3: except for this year. Yeah, it's our biggest area of
- 27:12Speaker 3: emphasis in terms of our allocations. And so no, it's
- 27:15Speaker 3: a freaking half.
- 27:16Speaker 2: Yep.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Absolutely, Well, Look, I'm actually gonna give the linebackers. I'm
- 27:20Speaker 1: actually gonna give them like a B minus when I
- 27:23Speaker 1: don't think they played all that great. Zach Bond had
- 27:26Speaker 1: nine total tackles, Nakobe Dean had seven total tackles. They
- 27:29Speaker 1: were up on top of the tackle box score. And
- 27:32Speaker 1: that's what you want to see. You want your linebackers
- 27:34Speaker 1: at the top. You don't necessarily want even though read
- 27:36Speaker 1: blank and Ship was at the top with ten total tackles.
- 27:40Speaker 3: You know when you're getting cooked, exactly linebackers and your
- 27:43Speaker 3: defensive line aren't doing their job. Your safeties lead the
- 27:45Speaker 3: team and tackle.
- 27:46Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly so, And we had a little bit of that.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Of course, not a good sive folks, right, But I'm
- 27:52Speaker 1: gonna give cheat, Yes, I'm gonna get I'm gonna give
- 27:55Speaker 1: the linebackers a B plus. I don't think they had
- 27:58Speaker 1: a terrible game. They certainly didn't have a Week one
- 28:00Speaker 1: game either. I think we have some linebackers on this
- 28:03Speaker 1: team here.
- 28:05Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I worry about Dean and coverage at times,
- 28:09Speaker 3: to be honest, but he's still young in ascending.
- 28:13Speaker 1: So yeah, all right, let's uh, let's finally talk about
- 28:18Speaker 1: the secondary here. Secondary, I am going to give them
- 28:22Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean, you look at Kirk Cousins
- 28:24Speaker 1: with his twenty of twenty nine for two hundred and
- 28:26Speaker 1: forty one yards eight point three yards per attempt, two touchdowns.
- 28:30Speaker 1: He ended with a rating of one hundred and seventeen
- 28:32Speaker 1: point two. Again that again, that minute and five second
- 28:36Speaker 1: drive in the fourth quarter really inflated some of his
- 28:38Speaker 1: numbers there. But uh, I mean the secondary got cooked
- 28:44Speaker 1: during one of the most important parts of the game.
- 28:46Speaker 1: I mean, I'm gonna give the secondary a C plus
- 28:48Speaker 1: this week.
- 28:48Speaker 2: What do you give him? Yeah?
- 28:53Speaker 3: I was in I was excited to see Cooper Degen
- 28:58Speaker 3: come in on the field. I mean, obviously, you never
- 29:00Speaker 3: want to see a guy get injured. And I personally
- 29:02Speaker 3: have liked Avonte Maddy's great guy all that, but just
- 29:08Speaker 3: as a player he is, he's holding and past interfering
- 29:13Speaker 3: on every down. Yes, you watch him. Oh, he's getting
- 29:16Speaker 3: extremely handsy because he's getting cooked in the slot.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Yep.
- 29:19Speaker 3: And I hate to call guys out like this, but yeah,
- 29:23Speaker 3: I'm not feeling good. About a second, I'm gonna go lower.
- 29:25Speaker 3: I'm gonna go see because some of the stuff I
- 29:28Speaker 3: was seeing from Avonte. Now Quinyon if he comes up
- 29:32Speaker 3: with that interception early though, we're having a different conversation.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Yes, yes, absolutely absolutely, all right, Well, let's move to
- 29:39Speaker 1: special teams and then offensive and defensive coaching special teams. Buddy,
- 29:43Speaker 1: I know we were kind of texting about the dynamic kickoff.
- 29:48Speaker 1: It's not very dynamic. I had such high hopes for
- 29:50Speaker 1: it during the preseason. Teams were experimenting with it. I
- 29:54Speaker 1: was like, man, you know what this might actually be?
- 29:55Speaker 1: All Right, it has been a complete and utter dud
- 29:58Speaker 1: so far in my opinion. You may have another opinion,
- 30:01Speaker 1: my friend, but man, the dynamic kickoff hasn't hasn't been
- 30:04Speaker 1: as dynamic as I've wanted it to be.
- 30:06Speaker 2: I don't know what are you thinking here.
- 30:07Speaker 1: And by the way, special teams basically did what it
- 30:09Speaker 1: did needed to do tonight. I'm gonna I'm gonna give
- 30:11Speaker 1: him a bee overall that. Yeah, they did what they did.
- 30:14Speaker 2: But dynamic kickoff, man, No, No, I don't know about that.
- 30:18Speaker 3: No, it's it hasn't been dynamic yet. But I think
- 30:21Speaker 3: I think you just need to there just needs to
- 30:23Speaker 3: be proof of concept. There needs to be that one
- 30:26Speaker 3: courageous team who runs a reverse from it, you know, yeah,
- 30:30Speaker 3: you know reverse reverses to somebody who was a blocker
- 30:34Speaker 3: or something like that for the first time, and then
- 30:36Speaker 3: you'll see, you know, people's right now, people are everybody's timid.
- 30:40Speaker 3: It's like, you know, everybody at the sixth grade dance, yea,
- 30:43Speaker 3: everybody's you know, finding lots of wall space.
- 30:47Speaker 2: Yes, I love it, I love it. I love it.
- 30:51Speaker 1: All right, let's move to defensive coaching. Vic Fangio. I'm
- 30:56Speaker 1: gonna I am going to give him a D plus.
- 31:00Speaker 1: That's what I'm giving him. I mean we gave I
- 31:03Speaker 1: mean it was for me C plus for the secondary,
- 31:06Speaker 1: had a B plus for the linebackers, and a complete
- 31:10Speaker 1: F for the front, the defensive front and defensive line.
- 31:14Speaker 2: I'm giving Vic Fangio a D plus. What do you
- 31:16Speaker 2: give him? Could be a C minus?
- 31:20Speaker 3: Maybe I would go with A And it's a C
- 31:23Speaker 3: minus because they gave up that last drive. Yeah, I
- 31:27Speaker 3: don't know what the hell that was. Poor. If you're
- 31:29Speaker 3: gonna do prevent, I hate prevent, but if you're gonna
- 31:31Speaker 3: do prevent. You got to prevent, and they didn't prevent,
- 31:34Speaker 3: so you know you.
- 31:35Speaker 1: Already they prevented allowed allow defense, right, Oh my gosh.
- 31:45Speaker 1: All right, I don't think it was. Yeah, I don't
- 31:48Speaker 1: think it.
- 31:48Speaker 3: I don't think it up until the allowed defense, I
- 31:51Speaker 3: didn't I don't think that it was. I don't think
- 31:54Speaker 3: it was necessary necessarily bad coaching. I think it was
- 31:58Speaker 3: bad play. They had the defense and the bad positions.
- 32:02Speaker 3: But he's picking Avonte, who's holding on every play, so
- 32:06Speaker 3: to play, so that's his call. Let's let's stick them
- 32:09Speaker 3: with the C minus.
- 32:09Speaker 1: Okay, all right, Well I can go C minus for
- 32:11Speaker 1: Vic Fangio out there, all right, and let's go with
- 32:15Speaker 1: Kellen Moore. Kellen Moore, Nick Sirianni, I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 32:19Speaker 1: give them a bu What did you say? Would you say?
- 32:25Speaker 3: I was way lower than I said? D plus D plus.
- 32:27Speaker 3: I was actually gonna go like C plus right around there.
- 32:30Speaker 1: Okay, Yeah, I was gonna go I was gonna go
- 32:32Speaker 1: C plus because I go back to what I was saying,
- 32:35Speaker 1: Like we saw, we saw them pull back that curtain
- 32:40Speaker 1: again that nine minute and thirty second drive in the
- 32:43Speaker 1: fourth quarter like seventeen plays for seventy yards. There is
- 32:47Speaker 1: something to be said for that, in the consistency that
- 32:49Speaker 1: that brought. And again, like I said, me thinking, wow,
- 32:53Speaker 1: they are getting out from under what last year was.
- 32:56Speaker 1: They got the rust off last week in Week one,
- 32:58Speaker 1: had a nice win against Green Bay Packers, who are
- 33:00Speaker 1: not a terrible team. Okay, you know what, They're able
- 33:04Speaker 1: to provide us some offensive consistency And that's what I
- 33:07Speaker 1: was thinking there and then and then it all took
- 33:10Speaker 1: a ship from there.
- 33:11Speaker 3: So it's gonna be a rough week. Yes, it's gonna
- 33:14Speaker 3: be a rough week.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Yeah, Oh absolutely, C plus for me for for the
- 33:19Speaker 1: offensive coaching.
- 33:19Speaker 2: What do you give them? D plus?
- 33:23Speaker 3: I just I wonder if the meal's not tasty because
- 33:28Speaker 3: we're getting you know, the worst and not the worst ingredients,
- 33:32Speaker 3: but you know, okay ingredients.
- 33:34Speaker 2: Yeah, you know.
- 33:36Speaker 3: I I wonder if if the coaches are not trusting
- 33:40Speaker 3: Jehan Dotson, because maybe they were starting to see what
- 33:43Speaker 3: Washington didn't see from Johan and maybe they're being extremely
- 33:48Speaker 3: conservative because they don't trust it. And Johnny Wilson's getting
- 33:52Speaker 3: lots of time on the field, and just because they
- 33:56Speaker 3: they did not they did not evaluate the talent talent.
- 34:00Speaker 2: Maybe yeah, perhaps, Yeah, it's.
- 34:03Speaker 3: It's not creative, it's not explosive, right, And I'm sorry,
- 34:06Speaker 3: Devonte Smith. You just paid this man. He got a
- 34:09Speaker 3: nice paycheck. So yeah, you don't have AJ but a
- 34:12Speaker 3: lot of teams don't have number one my receivers as
- 34:14Speaker 3: good as Davante Smith.
- 34:16Speaker 2: Yes, sorry, absolutely, yeah.
- 34:18Speaker 1: You know you use one word there, and I think
- 34:21Speaker 1: it's gonna be a good way to end this podcast.
- 34:23Speaker 1: Creative or the lack of creativity from this team. I
- 34:28Speaker 1: want to see some creativity next week. Kellen Moore, you
- 34:31Speaker 1: got to go back to the drawing board. I know
- 34:32Speaker 1: you got your system, but I want to see some
- 34:34Speaker 1: creativity with regard to this offense. There's talent here. There is,
- 34:38Speaker 1: of course talent here, and it's probably not gonna have
- 34:41Speaker 1: AJ Brown next week. But still get creative and you're
- 34:45Speaker 1: gonna have fun watching this team. And I think they
- 34:48Speaker 1: could potentially pull out a win against the Saints. I'm
- 34:51Speaker 1: leaning towards Saints already next week. But man, I really am.
- 34:54Speaker 1: As much as I don't want to, I'm gonna try
- 34:56Speaker 1: to cool down. I'm gonna try to calm down here.
- 34:59Speaker 1: But uh, creativity in terms of the offense. I think
- 35:02Speaker 1: that's what we need to see next week.
- 35:06Speaker 3: I mean, I gotta I still, I will be asking forever.
- 35:12Speaker 3: So this is a rhetorical question more for listeners. Yeah,
- 35:15Speaker 3: you know, I will never understand what Nick was thinking
- 35:18Speaker 3: there where he kicks the field goal to put us
- 35:21Speaker 3: up twenty one to fifteen versus twenty twenty one eighteen.
- 35:27Speaker 3: It doesn't make it our twenty one to fifteen. It
- 35:29Speaker 3: doesn't make sense. Yes, absolutely, all right, buddy, I'm gonna
- 35:33Speaker 3: end this podcast here. Folks, reach out to us over
