- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome to the Favorites, presented by Draft Kings. The crown
- 0:14Speaker 1: is yours. We are an Action Network podcast. I'm Brandon Kravitz,
- 0:17Speaker 1: and the crew is back together once again on this
- 0:20Speaker 1: fine Tuesday morning. Kendram Middleton the Prime Minister of Degenerate
- 0:24Speaker 1: Nation Stucky. On today's episode, we are planting flags for
- 0:29Speaker 1: week twelve, our official Thursday Night football preview, Bills versus Texans,
- 0:33Speaker 1: and of course the main event Evans Tuesday primer Cowboys
- 0:38Speaker 1: domination on Monday Night Football. Not a lot to go
- 0:41Speaker 1: off of from that game. But Kendra, how do we
- 0:44Speaker 1: do on the Monday Night football parlay?
- 0:48Speaker 2: I had a horrible week, a horrible weekend. Our parlay
- 0:53Speaker 2: on Sunday miss because of me. I just it's a
- 0:56Speaker 2: tough time. It was a tough time.
- 0:59Speaker 1: We are here for.
- 1:00Speaker 3: The genty catches.
- 1:02Speaker 2: I was impressed with, though, I have to say, how'd
- 1:06Speaker 2: you do?
- 1:06Speaker 1: Stucky?
- 1:08Speaker 4: The genty catches? So genty reception yard's over but nothing big,
- 1:14Speaker 4: boring game of the boring primetime games. Quite a run?
- 1:21Speaker 1: Did the Raiders make a mistake with genty at six? Overall?
- 1:25Speaker 1: Are we ready to make that proclamation? One point two
- 1:28Speaker 1: yards per carry? Last night. He really hasn't gotten going.
- 1:30Speaker 1: This year's had a couple of nice games, But do
- 1:32Speaker 1: you think they would do it over again? Stucky?
- 1:35Speaker 4: It's the Raiders, so probably. I mean, I would never
- 1:38Speaker 4: take a back at six, That's just me. But you
- 1:43Speaker 4: can't put it all on Gentem And the offensive line
- 1:45Speaker 4: has been a disaster. It's they lost Colton Miller, they
- 1:49Speaker 4: lost Powers Johnson, like their two best offensive linemen, and
- 1:54Speaker 4: even when they had everyone healthy, it was a disaster.
- 1:57Speaker 4: The offensive play calling is bad. Not sure what you
- 2:00Speaker 4: Kelly's doing. So I wouldn't put it all on gent
- 2:02Speaker 4: but just I mean not just to go based off
- 2:05Speaker 4: last night. I just would never take it back in
- 2:07Speaker 4: the top ten. They have so many other glaring needs
- 2:11Speaker 4: that it's so much easier to address running back than
- 2:14Speaker 4: those other needs that they have. So yeah, I wouldn't
- 2:20Speaker 4: have done it from the jump, and I would imagine
- 2:22Speaker 4: that they would if they could go back. They wouldn't,
- 2:25Speaker 4: but who knows what that organization.
- 2:27Speaker 1: We live in a value based world as sports betters,
- 2:30Speaker 1: and there is no matter how much you like a
- 2:32Speaker 1: running back, they'd have to be other worldly. And I
- 2:36Speaker 1: mean we've had we've seen some great ones come out
- 2:38Speaker 1: of college. Ashton gent of course put up some ridiculous
- 2:42Speaker 1: numbers of Boise State, but it's hard to justify for anybody,
- 2:46Speaker 1: even the mccaffreys, the Adrian Peterson's. It's just hard to
- 2:49Speaker 1: justify that sort of draft cost. And now you know,
- 2:52Speaker 1: you see where would they be worlds better if it
- 2:55Speaker 1: was a dB instead of a running back. Not necessarily,
- 2:58Speaker 1: but you know that Genti's doing nothing for this team
- 3:01Speaker 1: right now. Neither is their head coach. By the way,
- 3:03Speaker 1: Pete Carrold not likely to survive this lack of effort,
- 3:07Speaker 1: lack of consistency. Defense has always been the calling card
- 3:10Speaker 1: of his teams, and these guys are getting caught out
- 3:13Speaker 1: of position routinely. Kendrick, if you were running the show
- 3:17Speaker 1: in Las Vegas, would you pull the plug on the
- 3:19Speaker 1: old man?
- 3:21Speaker 2: No? I wouldn't because I think going into this season
- 3:23Speaker 2: it wasn't really like a higher for long term. It
- 3:27Speaker 2: was more so just let's hire him, get through the season,
- 3:31Speaker 2: start this rebuild.
- 3:32Speaker 3: It was a tough coaching cycle too.
- 3:34Speaker 2: I think that they're probably going to have maybe the
- 3:36Speaker 2: pick of the litter now that Brady's more involved, more
- 3:38Speaker 2: hands on. By the end of the season. I think
- 3:40Speaker 2: you write it out with him. You don't embarrass him,
- 3:42Speaker 2: you let him retire. There is no way that it
- 3:45Speaker 2: was ever the plan to keep him around long term.
- 3:47Speaker 2: I don't think you fire him. I think you just
- 3:49Speaker 2: write it out and you know, hang your hat on
- 3:52Speaker 2: whatever you can.
- 3:53Speaker 4: At the end of the season, I was I will
- 3:56Speaker 4: say though, with backs going in the first round, Like,
- 3:58Speaker 4: obviously I'm not a fan of it, but I mean
- 4:01Speaker 4: it didn't work out for the Chiefs either. If they
- 4:03Speaker 4: took a cloud of Alra I believe in twenty twenty,
- 4:07Speaker 4: but you know, you had the Lions take Gibbs, get
- 4:12Speaker 4: a lot of jet forward that worked out. The Falcons
- 4:16Speaker 4: took Bijon. He's like the one of the strengths of
- 4:20Speaker 4: their team right now.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Do you think it comes down to infrastructure? Like those
- 4:25Speaker 1: guys are great, but if you don't have the pieces
- 4:28Speaker 1: set up to allow them to succeed, especially and you
- 4:32Speaker 1: can say that about almost any position, but especially a
- 4:34Speaker 1: running back without the line, without a good play caller
- 4:38Speaker 1: on offense, it just doesn't matter. Christian McCaffrey, I think,
- 4:41Speaker 1: is a really good example of this because he put
- 4:44Speaker 1: up great numbers in Carolina. They didn't. They weren't built
- 4:47Speaker 1: to have Christian McCaffrey really impact their wins and losses.
- 4:52Speaker 1: The forty nine ers. Are you mentioned Gibbs? The Lions
- 4:55Speaker 1: were built to have Gibbs succeed if you don't have
- 4:58Speaker 1: that infrastructure.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Because they're finishing.
- 5:01Speaker 2: That's what running backs are. They're finishing pieces. Look at
- 5:04Speaker 2: Saquon on the Eagles, like that's why they got him
- 5:07Speaker 2: is because they could afford the fancy, expensive finishing piece
- 5:10Speaker 2: that would push them over the edge what a running
- 5:13Speaker 2: back is.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Absolutely and Clyde Edwards Hilaire is the kind of the
- 5:18Speaker 1: that was just a bad pick. He just turned out
- 5:20Speaker 1: to not be a good NFL player, but they would
- 5:22Speaker 1: have fit that sort of mold. Jonathan Taylor, by the way,
- 5:25Speaker 1: went a couple of picks later in the second round,
- 5:27Speaker 1: but they wish they had that decision back. Three double
- 5:30Speaker 1: digit spreads this week. We also have Chiefs, Cults, Cowboys, Eagles,
- 5:37Speaker 1: Bucks Rams. If we were grading the week, that is
- 5:40Speaker 1: in front of us, So we've got a lot of
- 5:42Speaker 1: bets to throw out there for you for betting in general.
- 5:46Speaker 1: As a football fan, Kendra, how do you grade Week
- 5:50Speaker 1: twelve as you look at the slate.
- 5:52Speaker 2: I think it sounds really enticing because I think we're
- 5:57Speaker 2: going to learn a lot of like who these teams
- 5:59Speaker 2: who we questioned throughout the year are kind of this
- 6:03Speaker 2: week like the trade deadlines coming gone. People who have
- 6:06Speaker 2: been traded have, you know, kind of started to assimilate
- 6:09Speaker 2: into their teams. Some coaches have been fired. You've got
- 6:11Speaker 2: at least a game under your belt for some of
- 6:13Speaker 2: those teams. And also some of these guys have to
- 6:16Speaker 2: start looking ahead at a short week next week. So
- 6:19Speaker 2: is our teams going to look ahead? Are they going
- 6:20Speaker 2: to show up? Are they going to game plan properly?
- 6:23Speaker 2: Or is it too much going on and you're not
- 6:25Speaker 2: gonna find your water. I think we're gonna learn who
- 6:27Speaker 2: both the Bills and the Texans are this week. I
- 6:29Speaker 2: think we're gonna probably learn a lot about the Bears
- 6:32Speaker 2: and the Steelers. You could talk about the Colts and
- 6:34Speaker 2: the Chiefs, Vikings, Packers. Those are the games that I'm
- 6:37Speaker 2: looking at where I'm like, Okay, who are you guys?
- 6:40Speaker 3: Same?
- 6:41Speaker 2: I mean, same with the Panthers in the forty nine
- 6:42Speaker 2: Ers too. You could say the same about the Bucks
- 6:44Speaker 2: and the Rams. Are you built for right now? Or
- 6:45Speaker 2: are you built for the long term? That's that we're
- 6:48Speaker 2: going to learn a lot about a lot of teams
- 6:50Speaker 2: this week.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Then we usually right around Thanksgiving is when the contenders
- 6:55Speaker 1: and the pretenders start to separate, and we've got a
- 6:57Speaker 1: couple of them that are going head to head. We
- 6:59Speaker 1: have a couple of tenders that are going up against
- 7:01Speaker 1: teams that are absolute bottom dwellers. That's where the double
- 7:03Speaker 1: digit spreads come from. Stucky, As you look at the card,
- 7:07Speaker 1: is it easy or difficult to come up with some
- 7:10Speaker 1: plays that whether you've already, whether you're already on them,
- 7:13Speaker 1: or you're gonna wait until later in the week. Does
- 7:15Speaker 1: this look like an easy or difficult week to gauge?
- 7:17Speaker 1: As far as bets that you're gonna like.
- 7:20Speaker 4: Normal week, I mean, there's some bets that I like
- 7:22Speaker 4: that I placed. As far as what the week overall,
- 7:27Speaker 4: it's not the greatest of the card. I mean. The
- 7:29Speaker 4: funny thing is all the NFL has all these rules
- 7:31Speaker 4: to protect quarterbacks and to prevent injuries, and every year
- 7:36Speaker 4: we just get a ton of injuries at quarterback. I mean,
- 7:39Speaker 4: this week we have what maybe Stroud Stroud misses his
- 7:43Speaker 4: third straight game. We have Rogers who could potentially miss
- 7:49Speaker 4: We have Burrow who's still out. We have I mean
- 7:54Speaker 4: Wentz for the Vikings. Maybe they go back to them.
- 7:55Speaker 4: He's out for the year.
- 7:56Speaker 3: There's no way Kyler is going to come back dark
- 7:59Speaker 3: is he out?
- 8:00Speaker 4: Yeah, that might have been a soft bench of Kyler's done.
- 8:02Speaker 4: He's on ir You have Gabriel for the Browns concussion.
- 8:07Speaker 4: So like across the board there's the quarterbacks. Jets gone
- 8:12Speaker 4: with a quarterback change, so we have some.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Poor justin field.
- 8:17Speaker 2: I like my I don't often feel like sorry for
- 8:21Speaker 2: professional athletes because they're like young millionaires and he's living
- 8:25Speaker 2: in New York City as a young millionaire or whatever.
- 8:26Speaker 2: But I feel so I feel so bad for him.
- 8:29Speaker 2: His career has like hurt my feelings for him.
- 8:33Speaker 1: He has not done himself any favors with his play.
- 8:36Speaker 2: But yes to to lesson good nice guy, but.
- 8:39Speaker 1: To lessen the emotional load. I think he has another
- 8:42Speaker 1: twenty million guaranteed to him, or at least twenty million
- 8:45Speaker 1: guaranteed from signing him.
- 8:46Speaker 3: His age is a baller, so.
- 8:48Speaker 1: He can he can buy expensive tissues to wipe his tears.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Michael Pennix is another one. He's down for the season
- 8:54Speaker 1: at least. That he's most likely down for the season
- 8:57Speaker 1: is the official report, but that means Kirk Cousins gets
- 8:59Speaker 1: another crack being the starting quarterback. Did we see enough
- 9:02Speaker 1: from Cousins in the loss to Carolina to buy some
- 9:07Speaker 1: Falcon stock? They take on the Saints this week, stucky,
- 9:10Speaker 1: How do you see.
- 9:10Speaker 4: It enough from now? I mean Cousins, he's completely done.
- 9:16Speaker 4: We've seen him twice. We saw him get blown out
- 9:18Speaker 4: at home by the Dolphins, one of the worst defenses
- 9:21Speaker 4: in the NFL. We saw him last week, didn't go well,
- 9:27Speaker 4: and that whole game changed when Pennis got hurt. And
- 9:30Speaker 4: I mean he finished six or fourteen for forty eight yards.
- 9:34Speaker 4: Like that's not going to get it done indoors. Now
- 9:39Speaker 4: you don't have London, and I mean I played some Saints.
- 9:43Speaker 4: I played some Saints early. I still would play the
- 9:45Speaker 4: Saints now. It's also just a horrendous So the Falcons.
- 9:49Speaker 4: They still have some injuries on defense, we'll see the
- 9:51Speaker 4: status of those, but their offensive line isn't fully healthy.
- 9:54Speaker 4: Now there's no Drake London, who's essentially the focal point
- 9:57Speaker 4: of their entire passing attack. You don't have Penn So
- 10:00Speaker 4: who hasn't been great, but it's way better than Cousins,
- 10:03Speaker 4: who's I think is completely toast.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Now do you think the spread drop off is from
- 10:09Speaker 1: we're talking about individual player values. That's one that's been
- 10:12Speaker 1: tough for me to gauge, just given where judging Kirk
- 10:16Speaker 1: Cousins coming in and mop up duty versus him actually
- 10:19Speaker 1: getting a full week of reps and knowing that this
- 10:21Speaker 1: is basically the last chance in his career to have
- 10:23Speaker 1: an opportunity like this. I do think we see a
- 10:26Speaker 1: better version of him more.
- 10:28Speaker 4: I mean, we saw that against the Dolphins. We saw
- 10:31Speaker 4: that against the Dolphins and they scored seven points at home.
- 10:34Speaker 4: Then it was thirty five to seven at home when
- 10:37Speaker 4: Cousins started, Like so, we've seen him start a game.
- 10:42Speaker 4: We saw him last year just give games away. It's
- 10:49Speaker 4: now now, granted, like Pennis hasn't been. He's been very
- 10:52Speaker 4: inconsistent the entire year. And I can tell you what
- 10:56Speaker 4: I have him more than the spread hold on.
- 10:57Speaker 2: He's just more athletic though. That's what he brings to
- 11:00Speaker 2: the table that Kirk doesn't. I once he if you
- 11:03Speaker 2: actually watch and consume football, I think that you knew
- 11:05Speaker 2: his career was over once he left Minnesota, like there
- 11:08Speaker 2: was just never gonna be an offense, a team or
- 11:10Speaker 2: anything like that that was gonna fit him better or
- 11:13Speaker 2: be able to make him more successful.
- 11:15Speaker 3: And after an.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Achilles' injury, like you just can't make plays like you
- 11:17Speaker 2: used to let it alone. The fact that for a
- 11:19Speaker 2: quarterback year old, like his career was over when he
- 11:21Speaker 2: left Minnesota.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Some arm strength too, as I mean, that's a big
- 11:27Speaker 1: drop off when you talk about the ability to drive
- 11:29Speaker 1: it down the field. Well did you find right now?
- 11:32Speaker 4: But they're so poorly coached too, and I don't think
- 11:34Speaker 4: Morris is gonna survive this. But the spot, like and
- 11:38Speaker 4: I thought Shuck showed some good things in Carolina, So
- 11:41Speaker 4: I actually think that ultimately he's an upgrade over Rattler.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Yeah he might be Okay, he might be good.
- 11:47Speaker 4: The Saints can stop the run too, Like now you're
- 11:49Speaker 4: gonna have cousins. I don't think it's going to go
- 11:52Speaker 4: off with the Spot on paper. You have the Falcon
- 11:55Speaker 4: the Saints coming off of by which I think will
- 11:57Speaker 4: serve shock well right, like new Starter gets two weeks
- 12:00Speaker 4: to work with the offense and the Falcons are coming
- 12:04Speaker 4: off back to back overtime losses to fall to three
- 12:09Speaker 4: and seven and now won't have London Panics a fully
- 12:13Speaker 4: healthy offensive line. But it's just dreams are crossed, like
- 12:16Speaker 4: their season's over for three and seven in the NFC,
- 12:19Speaker 4: like they're not going to the playoffs. It's over. So
- 12:24Speaker 4: like do they get off the mat? I'm not sure.
- 12:27Speaker 4: I think the Saints are the side.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Cousins has lost six in a row against the spread
- 12:32Speaker 1: as a starter, so I think you guys are spot
- 12:35Speaker 1: on on your read. I wish that this spread did
- 12:39Speaker 1: not flip. The Saints were plus one and a half
- 12:42Speaker 1: at open they're now minus one and a half. This
- 12:44Speaker 1: would do it.
- 12:44Speaker 4: I got some two and a half so on DK.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Right now it's minus one and a half. But yeah,
- 12:50Speaker 1: that's I guess if you want the Saints, you got
- 12:52Speaker 1: to get in on it now. I wish that they
- 12:53Speaker 1: were dogs. I would tease this so fast, but of
- 12:56Speaker 1: course that window appears to be closed. Also, some new
- 13:00Speaker 1: that just came in. No surgery for Aaron Rodgers. He's
- 13:03Speaker 1: trying to play on Sunday, so I guess the fracture
- 13:05Speaker 1: is not so bad that he can't play in their
- 13:09Speaker 1: upcoming game. You get the Steelers at Chicago to take
- 13:14Speaker 1: on the Bears. Bears minus three. Stucky, you continue to
- 13:17Speaker 1: fade this Bears team, and it's just they are pulling
- 13:21Speaker 1: rabbits out of a hat. So I don't know if you're
- 13:24Speaker 1: gonna go back to the well and the plant the
- 13:26Speaker 1: flag at the end of the episode, or maybe just
- 13:27Speaker 1: avoid the Bears altogether.
- 13:31Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, I let me see, I've Bears Bears. Yeah,
- 13:38Speaker 4: I mean, I've only faded them. Let's see twice this year,
- 13:45Speaker 4: played them twice. I had the Ravens against them, and
- 13:49Speaker 4: then I had them last I had the Vikings last week,
- 13:51Speaker 4: and McCarthy was just an absolute disaster. Now I have
- 13:56Speaker 4: no interest in this game. Really, we'll see on Rodgers.
- 13:59Speaker 4: I mean, the Bear turnover luck is not going to
- 14:01Speaker 4: continue forever. I mean, they're at an historic clip. Last week,
- 14:04Speaker 4: they get two more interceptions. They were the right side,
- 14:07Speaker 4: they got two interceptions. There was a fumble that they
- 14:09Speaker 4: went over their heads near the goal line that could
- 14:10Speaker 4: have flipped the game that they recovered. And I mean
- 14:13Speaker 4: they lead the NFL and turnover EPA. On defense, they
- 14:16Speaker 4: lead the NFL and turnover margin. They lead the NFL
- 14:17Speaker 4: in interceptions. The defense can't do anything except get turnovers,
- 14:22Speaker 4: which are very fluky, and there's probably going to be
- 14:25Speaker 4: looming regression there. But it's not like the Steelers have
- 14:27Speaker 4: been great. Their defense isn't great. The Bears should be
- 14:30Speaker 4: able to run on them. The one thing that the
- 14:32Speaker 4: Bears are doing really well is their their run game
- 14:34Speaker 4: is cooking. Kayla Williams is making some explosive passing plays.
- 14:38Speaker 4: It's not an overly efficient passing attack. I do think
- 14:41Speaker 4: he bails from the pocket a bit too early at times.
- 14:43Speaker 4: But their offense is playing well. It's just their defense
- 14:47Speaker 4: has been so bad. Is the Steelers offense the unit
- 14:50Speaker 4: that's going to fully take advantage? I don't know, Like
- 14:52Speaker 4: what how healthy is Rogers if he plays, there's.
- 14:55Speaker 3: A lot of It's the toughest game for me this week.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I agree. I want no part of that.
- 15:01Speaker 3: No, I'm scared it. It scares me.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Yeah. There's just I don't as of right now, change
- 15:09Speaker 1: throughout the week. But I don't see an angle here
- 15:12Speaker 1: for this one. That one thing I am troubled by
- 15:15Speaker 1: a trend that I'm seeing in college end in the
- 15:17Speaker 1: NFL is players spitting on other players. Kendra, we have
- 15:22Speaker 1: Jamar Chase the latest to be suspended for a spitting situation.
- 15:26Speaker 1: He spit on Jalen Ramsey, you boy, and and he's
- 15:30Speaker 1: a spread mover. With no Jamar Chase, that line is
- 15:35Speaker 1: certainly I mean, I think we'd probably be at like
- 15:40Speaker 1: Patriots minus seven and a half. It's at eight and
- 15:43Speaker 1: a half right now against the Cincinnati Bengals. But why
- 15:46Speaker 1: does this continue to happen? Kendra?
- 15:49Speaker 2: First of all, T Higgins fantasy owners please rise. However, sorry,
- 15:54Speaker 2: before I answer this question. In a fistfight, who do
- 15:58Speaker 2: you not? We're an anti violence podcast, anti violence. In
- 16:03Speaker 2: a fistfight, who do you think would win? Between Jamar
- 16:06Speaker 2: and Jalen? Everyone answer?
- 16:10Speaker 1: I would probably go Jalen. Ramsey's got that nasty and
- 16:15Speaker 1: DBA a little tougher than receivers.
- 16:16Speaker 3: I would agree with that too, Stucky.
- 16:19Speaker 4: Always say the d back over wide receivers, who are
- 16:21Speaker 4: usually a divas. The one exception is I would have
- 16:25Speaker 4: taken I might have taken Evans over Latimore, which is
- 16:29Speaker 4: the old rivalry. This might be the new one, but yeah,
- 16:34Speaker 4: I think I would take where I would take.
- 16:35Speaker 2: I would also Ramsey's the only option here.
- 16:39Speaker 3: I just what what floors. Me about this is that
- 16:42Speaker 3: if you knew you did it, and you.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Know that there are cameras absolutely everywhere, why lie about it?
- 16:51Speaker 5: Like?
- 16:51Speaker 3: Literally? Why lie? When he was doing his postgame presser
- 16:54Speaker 3: and he was just.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Like, I didn't spit on anybody, and then he doubled
- 16:56Speaker 2: down on it. I just I don't I get that.
- 17:00Speaker 2: You can't say that you did it because the fact
- 17:02Speaker 2: that he lost like what half a million for this too,
- 17:06Speaker 2: I feel like that's insane. He gotta find a game
- 17:08Speaker 2: check and his bonus or something. I think it was
- 17:10Speaker 2: like upwards of six hundred.
- 17:12Speaker 3: K, Like that is a that's an expensive spid.
- 17:16Speaker 2: I would never say. I don't think I would spend
- 17:17Speaker 2: on anybody for that amount of money.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Uh So keep that out of her DMS please, Okay
- 17:23Speaker 1: those that are listening. Yeah, the only case for Chase
- 17:27Speaker 1: in the fist fight would be speed, because he's much
- 17:30Speaker 1: faster than Jayleen Ramsey and that does matter.
- 17:34Speaker 2: Yeah, but like, if you're fist fighting, what are you
- 17:36Speaker 2: running for? Don't be a coward?
- 17:38Speaker 1: Well, I just mean like hand you know hand speed?
- 17:41Speaker 1: I guess, yeah, But does that translate?
- 17:44Speaker 3: I think Jalen to Florida State days would come out
- 17:48Speaker 3: and I'm not even kidding. Talent Nasty, the talent Nasty.
- 17:53Speaker 1: We are about to get to our look at Thursday
- 17:56Speaker 1: Night Football, but first a word from our very own
- 17:59Speaker 1: Kendra as Wet about DraftKings.

- 18:22Speaker 3: Again, use Code Favorites when signing up and bet five
- 18:25Speaker 3: bucks to get two hundred back in bonus bets.
- 18:27Speaker 2: If your bet wins plus three months of NBA League Pass.
- 18:30Speaker 3: The crown is yours.
- 18:32Speaker 1: All right, Kendra, Status update from you say something weird?
- 18:37Speaker 3: Okay, So I was talking to David before this show.
- 18:40Speaker 3: I got a coffee, as I.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Do before every show that we do, and I was
- 18:44Speaker 2: pouring my milk into my coffee and I was triggered
- 18:47Speaker 2: to my dream last night where I turned into a cow,
- 18:50Speaker 2: but I was still like I had my I had
- 18:52Speaker 2: Kendra's brain, but I could only see and was existing
- 18:54Speaker 2: in a cow's body.
- 18:56Speaker 3: And it was a crazy dream.
- 18:58Speaker 2: And it got me thinking about how well if I
- 19:00Speaker 2: were like an animal in a past life, or like
- 19:03Speaker 2: an animal identify with, what would it be? And it
- 19:06Speaker 2: would absolutely be a squirrel, because I know that I
- 19:08Speaker 2: was a squirrel in a last life.
- 19:09Speaker 3: Because think about it, I'm so adhd.
- 19:13Speaker 2: I can eat so much food for my size, could
- 19:15Speaker 2: totally carry that in my cheeks. I could hibernate, I
- 19:18Speaker 2: could sleep for an entire winter, no question. I am cute,
- 19:22Speaker 2: but I will also fuck you up. And you never
- 19:24Speaker 2: know if I'm going to run into the street or
- 19:26Speaker 2: I'm just going to last minute juke you out.
- 19:28Speaker 3: You never know. You never know.
- 19:30Speaker 2: So if you believed in reincarnation and you were another animal,
- 19:35Speaker 2: what would you identify as?
- 19:38Speaker 1: I think I would have been a rooster. I have
- 19:42Speaker 1: always been an early riser, and I'm significantly louder in
- 19:46Speaker 1: the morning than i am later on in the day.
- 19:49Speaker 1: And that's not just because I have a six year old,
- 19:51Speaker 1: Because now the way I wake up ridiculously early, and
- 19:54Speaker 1: it's mostly because of him. But even before that, when
- 19:56Speaker 1: I was a kid, I had a hard time sleeping
- 19:58Speaker 1: in so sster most likely, but I kind of dig
- 20:03Speaker 1: farms that you know, the jokes.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Are right there. I'm gonna let them go, though, Stucky.
- 20:07Speaker 2: What would you identify as?
- 20:09Speaker 4: Uh, probably a giraffe. They only sleep. They sleep like
- 20:13Speaker 4: thirty minutes a day, so they take like brief power
- 20:19Speaker 4: naps while standing up and uh and.
- 20:22Speaker 1: They only stand in their neck out for you.
- 20:26Speaker 4: I think they sleep like three to four hours a day.
- 20:28Speaker 4: They take they just like it, take thirty minute naps
- 20:29Speaker 4: here and they're standing up and that's basically me during
- 20:32Speaker 4: football and basketball. So yeah, I'd come back as a
- 20:35Speaker 4: giraffe and.
- 20:37Speaker 3: Kind of baller. And nobody hates diraftes. Like do they
- 20:39Speaker 3: have a predator?
- 20:41Speaker 4: Lions? I would imagine.
- 20:43Speaker 3: I think the lions hunt giraffes.
- 20:46Speaker 4: Yeah, Lions, hyenas they can get them because it's it's
- 20:50Speaker 4: hard for them to like if you can just you
- 20:51Speaker 4: can just take down their legs, right, it's hard for them.
- 20:53Speaker 2: To kind of oh shit, they get eaten by a
- 20:57Speaker 2: lot of shit lions, hyenas, leopards, wild dogs, crocodiles.
- 21:02Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 21:03Speaker 4: Yeah, once they get older, Once they get older and
- 21:07Speaker 4: like they're kick, they're done. They just get they'll just
- 21:09Speaker 4: get taken down.
- 21:10Speaker 3: They're massive. That's crazy. They also give it when they
- 21:13Speaker 3: get older, or there were the babies.
- 21:15Speaker 4: That's that's it, that's it. They probably get.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Uh.
- 21:18Speaker 4: You also get like crocs that can like jump out
- 21:20Speaker 4: of the water and get them. I've seen videos of that.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Crazy.
- 21:24Speaker 2: When I was in Costa Rica, i learned that sloss
- 21:27Speaker 2: when they give birth, sometimes the loss just like fall
- 21:31Speaker 2: and hangle by their like hanging in the trees by
- 21:33Speaker 2: their umbilical cord for a while.
- 21:35Speaker 4: I've seen that before. But by the way, durress when
- 21:37Speaker 4: they're like in their prime age. One of one of
- 21:41Speaker 4: the ways that they one of the ways that they
- 21:46Speaker 4: protect themselves from predators is they can run. They can
- 21:48Speaker 4: run up to like forty miles an hour or something.
- 21:52Speaker 4: Swear Google how fast where's the production? Google how fast
- 21:58Speaker 4: drass can run? It's something crazy that you would never think.
- 22:00Speaker 2: You would think that thirty seven miles per hour at
- 22:03Speaker 2: maximum sprint. They're eighteen hundred no, a female eighteen hundred
- 22:07Speaker 2: pounds and a male's twenty six hundred pounds.
- 22:09Speaker 3: That's a that's like a car coming at you.
- 22:12Speaker 4: Yeah, going forty miles an hour. So I like that.
- 22:15Speaker 4: I'm well, once they get older, they can't run as fast,
- 22:17Speaker 4: and then they break down and then they're easy to get.
- 22:21Speaker 4: But yeah, they have predators. But yeah, it'd be cool.
- 22:24Speaker 1: No. I think if Josh Allen was an animal in
- 22:28Speaker 1: his prior life, he would have been a buffalo. Bill.
- 22:31Speaker 1: They take on the Texans on Thursday Night. Bill's minus
- 22:34Speaker 1: five and a half total, sitting at forty three and
- 22:36Speaker 1: a half. Thursday Night Football a fun game for Thursday night.
- 22:40Speaker 1: It should be. At least you have Josh Allen, who's
- 22:42Speaker 1: sitting with the third shortest odds for NFL MVP, the
- 22:46Speaker 1: league's top defense, Houston allowing sixteen point three per game,
- 22:51Speaker 1: and they are an under team of course because of it.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Their average combined score in their games thirty eight point three.
- 22:58Speaker 1: So maybe just look there. But early, look, how do
- 23:02Speaker 1: we see this one playing out? I think I would
- 23:04Speaker 1: lean Bills early, but I'm not in love with it.
- 23:07Speaker 1: I would like to bet the Texans, but there's just
- 23:10Speaker 1: to steal a phrase from one Stucky the degenerate himself.
- 23:15Speaker 1: A lot of injuries tot worry about, right.
- 23:18Speaker 4: Yeah, I assume that Stroud is going to be out.
- 23:23Speaker 4: Has that been confirmed this Yeah, I mean like it's
- 23:29Speaker 4: gonna be hard on a short weekend in practice last week.
- 23:33Speaker 4: But it is funny that Stroud and Mills at the
- 23:36Speaker 4: same amount of wins this year. But obviously Mills has
- 23:38Speaker 4: benefited from the crazy comebackgainst Jags and playing the Titans.
- 23:42Speaker 4: They've barely won both of those.
- 23:44Speaker 3: Twist the knife, fine, I'm fine.
- 23:47Speaker 1: So Nico Collins is on the injury report. They've got
- 23:50Speaker 1: a couple of defensive Yeah, I.
- 23:53Speaker 4: Don't think Stroud's gonna play. And yeah with that with
- 23:59Speaker 4: Mills now against the Bills defense, it's the Texans still
- 24:03Speaker 4: can't figure out their goal line offense. Oh my god,
- 24:05Speaker 4: I want to pull my hair out whenever I watched
- 24:07Speaker 4: the near the goal line. So this short week, on
- 24:11Speaker 4: these Thursday night games, I look for reasons not to
- 24:13Speaker 4: bet the team. I mean, I would have liked to
- 24:15Speaker 4: have Stroud in their healthy catching over a field goal
- 24:21Speaker 4: against the Bills. The Texans defense I think can give
- 24:24Speaker 4: Allen issues. They gave him issues. He probably had one
- 24:27Speaker 4: of his worst games down in Houston two years ago.
- 24:31Speaker 4: I forget the last Sun Buffalo played in Houston.
- 24:35Speaker 2: But I don't know because if Will Anderson is actually hurt,
- 24:39Speaker 2: they don't have like their defensive ends are put like
- 24:43Speaker 2: that's it.
- 24:44Speaker 1: I gotta Yeah, I think it's bills are passed. What
- 24:47Speaker 1: about you, Kendra, I.
- 24:49Speaker 3: Also think it's bills are passed.
- 24:51Speaker 2: If CJ plays, I'm definitely gonna get to the window
- 24:54Speaker 2: on the Bills. I'm just hoping for those couple extra points.
- 24:56Speaker 2: I don't love it or hate it at the five
- 24:58Speaker 2: and a half. Their injury is just disgusting, and I
- 25:01Speaker 2: get the big argument about the Bills right now is
- 25:03Speaker 2: like who's scoring for them? Because it's nobody, but like
- 25:07Speaker 2: they have to be on a warpath kind of seem
- 25:09Speaker 2: like they are. It has to be bills or nothing
- 25:12Speaker 2: for me here, just because the Texans are just beyond.
- 25:15Speaker 3: Like they have. There's who is healthy for them.
- 25:18Speaker 4: Yeah, they have a lot of injuries in their defense
- 25:20Speaker 4: worth watching, which is concerning. So yeah, I fact where
- 25:25Speaker 4: the current prices, it's it's.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Wrong many dollars in this economy.
- 25:31Speaker 4: But I wouldn't either if you want to grab the
- 25:33Speaker 4: bills now with the anticipation that dragets ruled out, but
- 25:35Speaker 4: you have Petrie too. Who's Petrie? Who's important as their nickel?
- 25:39Speaker 4: But they have some defensive line injuries, linebacker, offensive line,
- 25:43Speaker 4: you know obviously Nico Collins popping up. I just don't
- 25:45Speaker 4: think Strout's gonna go. So when that gets announced, you
- 25:48Speaker 4: might see another uptick on the bills. So if you
- 25:51Speaker 4: wanted to grab it before a semi key of six,
- 25:53Speaker 4: I wouldn't blame anyone. But this is not the game
- 25:57Speaker 4: for me.
- 25:58Speaker 1: It's that time of the year. We have have the

- 26:57Speaker 4: Shut up, I'm trying to plant my flag here.
- 26:59Speaker 1: Okay, you really planned your flag in that dext hendro.
- 27:03Speaker 1: Where are you planting the flag this week?
- 27:05Speaker 3: Okay?
- 27:06Speaker 2: I know that I bullied this team on our Sunday show,
- 27:09Speaker 2: and I'm not ready to not bully them, but I'm
- 27:11Speaker 2: gonna not bully them this week. And I've never, i
- 27:15Speaker 2: think never ever done this.
- 27:17Speaker 3: But this is a Jags podcast.
- 27:19Speaker 2: I'm going with the Jags this week, and it better
- 27:21Speaker 2: not bite me in the ass because I'm terrified the
- 27:26Speaker 2: Cardinals suck. Like they're a bad team. I'm ready to
- 27:30Speaker 2: say it. Like they're frisky, they're feisty. You can say
- 27:32Speaker 2: all the things that you want to about them. However,
- 27:35Speaker 2: the Jags are getting healthy, they're getting players back. Hunter
- 27:38Speaker 2: Long coming back for the Jags this week.
- 27:40Speaker 3: Believe it or not. If I'm not mistaken.
- 27:42Speaker 2: He's tied for leader of touchdowns on the Jacksonville Jaguars
- 27:46Speaker 2: right now, which is crazy because this is his third
- 27:48Speaker 2: team since he was drafted out of BC and none
- 27:50Speaker 2: of those teams were ever able to find a spot
- 27:52Speaker 2: for him.
- 27:53Speaker 3: But he's clicking in this Jacksonville offense somehow.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Liam Cohen called the game of his life last week,
- 27:58Speaker 2: and he'll fit right back into this.
- 28:00Speaker 3: I think Bachial Touton is going to go, so that's helpful.
- 28:02Speaker 2: Anton Harrison is going to be playing, Jordan Lewis is
- 28:05Speaker 2: coming back.
- 28:06Speaker 3: This team is getting healthier this week. I I love this.
- 28:08Speaker 2: I think it's going to be a good go for
- 28:09Speaker 2: everyone all around against a bad team.
- 28:11Speaker 3: Get right spot for that. It's not even to get
- 28:13Speaker 3: right spot for them.
- 28:14Speaker 2: They just beat the crap out of the Chargers, but
- 28:15Speaker 2: a get right spot for the guys who haven't been
- 28:17Speaker 2: playing in a couple of weeks.
- 28:18Speaker 3: Good team to do it against.
- 28:20Speaker 2: I think you're stupid at this number if you're not
- 28:22Speaker 2: looking at Jacksonville.
- 28:25Speaker 1: So I have not again.
- 28:26Speaker 4: Last week, you didn't want any part of the Jags.
- 28:33Speaker 3: No about them.
- 28:35Speaker 2: On Sunday you said they sink they they're a bad team.
- 28:40Speaker 1: She's drawn on her own team. Let her have fun.
- 28:43Speaker 3: No, I lit you guys, they're a bad.
- 28:46Speaker 4: Team that you are a lay points with on the
- 28:48Speaker 4: road that you can to get right.
- 28:50Speaker 3: Saints this week, yeah.
- 28:52Speaker 4: Something, I'm fading the Falcons. But I also think that
- 28:55Speaker 4: the Jags were good last week.
- 28:56Speaker 3: I don't think that they're good. I think Trevor Lawrence.
- 28:59Speaker 2: Someone on Twitter called him a guppy faced bitch, and
- 29:02Speaker 2: I don't think he's a bitch.
- 29:03Speaker 3: But now that they've said the guppy thing, I can't
- 29:05Speaker 3: see it.
- 29:10Speaker 4: Maybe our Jags are in trouble now Kender's back in
- 29:14Speaker 4: on them.
- 29:15Speaker 2: I had the worst week of my life last week.
- 29:17Speaker 2: I didn't hit a single bet, which I was due
- 29:19Speaker 2: for a bad week.
- 29:20Speaker 3: It was my first losing week of the entire season.
- 29:23Speaker 2: Grabbits, if you were here Sunday, I was going to
- 29:25Speaker 2: give you an apology for having the craziest cakes ever
- 29:27Speaker 2: that somehow worked out.
- 29:29Speaker 1: So man, I'm sorry that I missed that. It's that
- 29:33Speaker 1: would have been fun.
- 29:34Speaker 3: I'm happy to eat crow when I have to.
- 29:36Speaker 2: I'm definitely not I'm definitely not the type of person
- 29:38Speaker 2: who can't take criticism or a joker feedback.
- 29:41Speaker 3: So you guys, you guys really gave it to me
- 29:44Speaker 3: last week and I'm happy to take it.
- 29:45Speaker 1: Well, you all called me fucking crazy, but you know
- 29:48Speaker 1: I was, You are fucking crazy. I was watching the
- 29:52Speaker 1: Magic lose to the Rockets in overtime, so unfortunately I
- 29:55Speaker 1: was not able to make the Sunday pod. But you
- 29:57Speaker 1: guys did a phenomenal job. Here's my issue before we
- 30:00Speaker 1: hand out hours for the fellas, my issue with the
- 30:04Speaker 1: with fading the Cardinals here was, okay, they they're in.
- 30:09Speaker 1: They're in bounced back mode. They got blown out last week,
- 30:13Speaker 1: so typical spot fit. You know, follow the team that
- 30:17Speaker 1: just got blown out. The reverse happened to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
- 30:21Speaker 1: They just had the best game imaginable against a good team.
- 30:24Speaker 1: Now they travel out West to take on a Cardinals
- 30:27Speaker 1: team whose stock is horrendously low, and you're not even
- 30:32Speaker 1: like it. We're not even probably gonna get the three
- 30:35Speaker 1: on this. This is to me, this is Cardinals teaser
- 30:40Speaker 1: gold up to eight and a half.
- 30:43Speaker 3: Going to play. Who is Marvin Harrison even gonna play?
- 30:48Speaker 1: Do they need him? Michael Wilson went wild last week.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Jacoby Brissett is engineering this offense tremendously.
- 30:55Speaker 4: I just wanted to.
- 30:58Speaker 3: Did he go yeah and he's still lost.
- 31:01Speaker 4: No, it's extad four turnovers. They got a kicker turn touchdown.
- 31:06Speaker 2: I think they out gained the Joneses.
- 31:11Speaker 4: Their offense wasn't the issue last week that had five
- 31:13Speaker 4: hundred dards offense. They held the and the forty nine ers.
- 31:15Speaker 4: They got a bunch of turnover short fields. The Cardinals
- 31:18Speaker 4: fumbled going into the end zone. They got a kickerturn
- 31:20Speaker 4: for a touchdown. They had two turnovers.
- 31:23Speaker 3: Saxonville is back.
- 31:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I had three. I would look at the Cardinals.
- 31:28Speaker 2: But Cardinals plus two and a half, big Jacks fan,
- 31:32Speaker 2: I knew you would do.
- 31:33Speaker 3: This to me.
- 31:34Speaker 1: I am going to fade the Cats this week after
- 31:37Speaker 1: they were profitable to me last week. Cardinals up to
- 31:40Speaker 1: eight and a half, Niners down to one against the Panthers.
- 31:44Speaker 1: That'll be my teaser of the week, not my official
- 31:46Speaker 1: plant the flag, but if you wanted to know where
- 31:49Speaker 1: I was going to go with that, Stucky, what about
- 31:51Speaker 1: you plant the flag?
- 31:53Speaker 4: I'm gonna go Cowboys plus three and a half, mainly
- 31:56Speaker 4: because I make this slightly under three. I think it
- 31:59Speaker 4: closes the three and this Eagles offense continues to be broken.
- 32:05Speaker 4: They can't get margin on anyone I mean Jared Goff.
- 32:08Speaker 4: Last week, the Lions went zero five on fourth down.
- 32:11Speaker 4: They had a turnover at the goal line, three turnovers
- 32:13Speaker 4: in their own territory, a turnover at midfield. Goff, with
- 32:16Speaker 4: his glove, couldn't complete a pass. He was two of
- 32:20Speaker 4: eighteen at one point, if not for a phantom flag
- 32:25Speaker 4: on a made up penalty, would have gotten the ball
- 32:27Speaker 4: back with a chance to tie the game or win
- 32:29Speaker 4: it if they made their extra point due to a celebration.
- 32:32Speaker 4: The Eagles can't get margin on anybody. Their offense is
- 32:35Speaker 4: broken now. No Lane Johnson. He has been so important,
- 32:39Speaker 4: and the Cowboys defense looked better. They're gonna be better
- 32:42Speaker 4: against the run with some of the reinforcements they added
- 32:44Speaker 4: obviously with Williams and with Wilson getting over shown back
- 32:48Speaker 4: like they'll be better against the run now. Their pass
- 32:51Speaker 4: defense is still vulnerable, but no Lane Johnson, the Eagles could.
- 32:54Speaker 4: They can't throw it every week. They hurts in this offense,
- 32:57Speaker 4: especially really struggle against zones. Oh that's what you're going
- 33:00Speaker 4: to get against Egra flu So. I think it's a
- 33:01Speaker 4: good matchup. You're going to get this. The Eagles defense
- 33:04Speaker 4: is trending way up the addition of Phillips getting some
- 33:07Speaker 4: guys back healthy, you know, Fangio after the buye. All
- 33:11Speaker 4: of those things are true, and the Eagles defense looks
- 33:14Speaker 4: completely dominant. But this is the Cowboys, and they're electric
- 33:18Speaker 4: offense at home where they're usually trustworthy. I think they
- 33:21Speaker 4: can keep this close. Most likely outcome is probably an
- 33:23Speaker 4: Eagles win by a field goal and run out the
- 33:26Speaker 4: clock with like a thirteen minute drive at the end
- 33:27Speaker 4: of the game. So yeah, I like the Cowboys do
- 33:31Speaker 4: anything over a field goal.
- 33:32Speaker 2: We think Jamison william celebration should have been a penalty.
- 33:38Speaker 4: I mean, technically it is in the rule book. I
- 33:40Speaker 4: think the the goalpost is considered a prop.
- 33:44Speaker 3: I think that's so lame.
- 33:45Speaker 4: Yeah, it's no fun.
- 33:47Speaker 3: No fun League strikes again.
- 33:50Speaker 1: Cowboys plus three and a half. I like that. I
- 33:52Speaker 1: might end up on that myself. You talked me into it,
- 33:56Speaker 1: so no pushback on that one. I am going to
- 33:59Speaker 1: go with the Kansas City Chiefs minus three. They fucked
- 34:04Speaker 1: us last week. I would have been up seven plus
- 34:08Speaker 1: units last week if the Chiefs had just won. That's
- 34:11Speaker 1: all I needed was for them to win the game,
- 34:13Speaker 1: and they couldn't do it. But can't hold grudges in
- 34:16Speaker 1: this betting life. At least we should try to not
- 34:19Speaker 1: hold grudges. They are not if they don't cover this week.
- 34:22Speaker 1: It's the only bet that I have placed so far
- 34:25Speaker 1: absolute bet jail, bet jails. This is a game for
- 34:29Speaker 1: them to avoid bet prison. So this is this is
- 34:34Speaker 1: a big one. My numbers spit out minus four. The
- 34:36Speaker 1: market says minus three right now. The market read as
- 34:40Speaker 1: far as the juice on the three says that this
- 34:42Speaker 1: is probably going up to three and a half. Colts
- 34:45Speaker 1: off the buy Chiefs off a bad loss five and five.
- 34:48Speaker 1: The talk around that team the Chiefs is doom and gloom.
- 34:51Speaker 1: The Colts are the new darlings. Everybody loves them. Everybody's
- 34:54Speaker 1: selling chief stock right now. And then, schematically, Steve Spagnola
- 34:58Speaker 1: should be able to confute confused Daniel Jones. He's gonna
- 35:01Speaker 1: send creative blitzes. Daniel Jones was sacked seven times against
- 35:05Speaker 1: the Falcons in a neutral site a couple of weeks ago.
- 35:07Speaker 1: Now you go into Kansas City, where they're effectively playing
- 35:10Speaker 1: a playoff game here. So I will take the Chiefs
- 35:15Speaker 1: and lay the points before it gets to three and
- 35:17Speaker 1: a half.
- 35:18Speaker 2: I'm not even talking like we're putting them in jail now,
- 35:21Speaker 2: we are locking them up in.
- 35:22Speaker 3: Fucking federal prison. They are dead to me.
- 35:25Speaker 2: Even though I have them not to make the playoffs
- 35:28Speaker 2: long term, I can't know.
- 35:30Speaker 4: Holt also hasn't been the same out like, not in
- 35:33Speaker 4: perfect conditions, right, they're going to be Like you look
- 35:36Speaker 4: at all their games leading up to the past two
- 35:38Speaker 4: weeks where Jones turned backed into a pumpkin. I mean
- 35:40Speaker 4: you look at his pressure to sackarate, his turnovers. They
- 35:43Speaker 4: were all basically in Indy or in so far. So yeah,
- 35:49Speaker 4: he's he's got that look to him again that Giants
- 35:52Speaker 4: look where it's dazed and confused, dazed and confused, and
- 35:57Speaker 4: his sack numbers are way up. It's you know that
- 36:01Speaker 4: a lot of the league has seen what this offenses
- 36:02Speaker 4: look like and has made some adjustments as well. And
- 36:07Speaker 4: Jones is back on pumpkin watch. So yeah, it's I'm
- 36:16Speaker 4: around this number. But yeah, the or has gone on
- 36:20Speaker 4: Daniel Jones. But I do feel like like JT could
- 36:26Speaker 4: have a big day.
- 36:27Speaker 1: That is what I worry about that I think that
- 36:29Speaker 1: this doesn't get home. It's because Taylor went wild.
- 36:32Speaker 2: The discourse on him is as the MVP has gotten
- 36:36Speaker 2: a little sexier, though, I will say.
- 36:39Speaker 1: He's in consideration. I think he'd be if I had
- 36:41Speaker 1: a top four, he'd be in that for sure. You know,
- 36:45Speaker 1: Stafford and may have done their thing. Josh Allen's performance
- 36:49Speaker 1: this past weekend was enough to slam him into the
- 36:51Speaker 1: top three, which he is.
- 36:52Speaker 3: I think you can lose to the Dolphins and be
- 36:55Speaker 3: the MVP. I'm sorry.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Six touchdowns though, three on the ground, and he to
- 37:00Speaker 1: Terrell Shavers. I'd never even heard of this person. Jaggs
- 37:03Speaker 1: plus two and a half for Kendra Stucky is on
- 37:07Speaker 1: the Cowboys, plus three and a half against Philly, and
- 37:10Speaker 1: I'm laying it with the Chiefs minus three against the
- 37:13Speaker 1: Indianapolis Cults. Those are our Plant the Flag games presented
- 37:17Speaker 1: by DraftKings. And now for the main event. No betting
- 37:20Speaker 1: week can start without it. It's the primer courtesy of
- 37:23Speaker 1: Evan Abrams. Evan, welcome to the show. If you were
- 37:27Speaker 1: an animal in your past life, what would it have been?
- 37:30Speaker 4: Yeah? Very simple.
- 37:31Speaker 1: I'm a cat.
- 37:33Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, one hundred percent of cat. I kind of
- 37:36Speaker 5: just linger. I have lots of opinions. I say very little,
- 37:39Speaker 5: but when I talk people tend to listen. Sometimes that's
- 37:42Speaker 5: pretty much a cat. Next question, all right, do you
- 37:47Speaker 5: have a cat? I had a cat. She unfortunately passed away,
- 37:51Speaker 5: but I had a cat for sick No, no, you're fine,
- 37:56Speaker 5: You're fine. I had a cat for sixteen years. Cats
- 37:58Speaker 5: are the best rescued, fantastic.
- 38:00Speaker 1: But yes, well, okay, yeah, we have to we have.
- 38:04Speaker 4: We have two rescues and then one baby from one
- 38:08Speaker 4: of the rescues that wander around here with our dog.
- 38:11Speaker 4: And there, my dog's afraid. My dog's big, seventy five
- 38:14Speaker 4: pound piple that's afraid of all of them.
- 38:15Speaker 2: I'm allergic to cats, but I'd have thirty seven of
- 38:18Speaker 2: them and be in jail for hoarding them if I wasn't.
- 38:21Speaker 5: Yes, my second cat. I had a cat in college
- 38:23Speaker 5: named Poopie Murdoch. He was fantastic and then and then
- 38:27Speaker 5: rest in peace to Parlayuh.
- 38:29Speaker 1: So BARLEYO, oh my god, going to rename my cat
- 38:32Speaker 1: to Parlay.
- 38:33Speaker 4: That's great, that's those are amazing. We have Ricky Maaler
- 38:37Speaker 4: and Hank just he's just Hank. He just looks like
- 38:40Speaker 4: a Hank. He's the only black cat. He was the
- 38:43Speaker 4: run of the litter and I just said that's that's Hank.
- 38:45Speaker 4: We have to keep him and Nico Tesla, that's right.
- 38:50Speaker 4: And then our dog dog is Pete Rose. So those
- 38:53Speaker 4: are amazing names.
- 38:53Speaker 3: Ricky Mewler is fire.
- 38:56Speaker 1: Nip your game up out there, people, Those are some
- 38:58Speaker 1: amazing names. All right, Well, let's get to the primer.
- 39:02Speaker 1: Josh Allen one of the top MVP candidates facing one
- 39:05Speaker 1: of the top defensive units on a short week. Don't
- 39:07Speaker 1: know if that's too specific. There, we've got Mike Tomlin
- 39:11Speaker 1: with a backup quarterback potentially, I until you've got numbers
- 39:14Speaker 1: on that, and the Chiefs favored by three against the
- 39:18Speaker 1: team that's eight and two off of a bye. What's
- 39:21Speaker 1: your favorite so far? Most primer?
- 39:24Speaker 5: I feel like you got to start with Thursday night
- 39:25Speaker 5: football because you guys talked about it a little bit.
- 39:28Speaker 5: But Bills have lost five straight out right in Houston.
- 39:31Speaker 5: Josh Allen starter in three of those games, so a
- 39:34Speaker 5: little relevant.
- 39:35Speaker 4: When was that last one? Was that two years ago? Yeah?
- 39:38Speaker 5: I believe so two, two or three years ago? But
- 39:40Speaker 5: three of those were Allen and scoring twenty points or
- 39:43Speaker 5: fewery in each of them in the three losses, so
- 39:46Speaker 5: a little struggled bus The thing that's crazy and Stuck
- 39:49Speaker 5: brought it up, and I feel like since it is
- 39:51Speaker 5: a primetime game, but Texans goal line struggles absolutely ridiculous.
- 39:56Speaker 5: Thirteen carries this year inside the five, the Texans have
- 40:00Speaker 5: the total of zero rushing yards and one rush touchdown,
- 40:04Speaker 5: so literally can't go anywhere and no idea what to do.
- 40:07Speaker 5: So those to me are the storylines for Thursday night Football.
- 40:11Speaker 5: But to me, the actual storyline the biggest thing to
- 40:14Speaker 5: look at this week of the Panthers, I mean truthfully,
- 40:17Speaker 5: playing in primetime for the first time in two years,
- 40:20Speaker 5: and this year they've got six wins as underdogs in
- 40:23Speaker 5: their first eleven games, which is tied for the most
- 40:26Speaker 5: for any team since nineteen ninety. To me, they are
- 40:29Speaker 5: the story most profitable team on the money line, Like,
- 40:31Speaker 5: lots of good story lines are there, and they get
- 40:34Speaker 5: San Francisco in a primetime game, so that one should
- 40:37Speaker 5: be fun and.
- 40:38Speaker 4: One other one forty Brandon.
- 40:40Speaker 5: So double digit favorites, you got a bunch this week,
- 40:43Speaker 5: you said, Ravens, Seahawks, Lions. Interesting enough. So last three
- 40:47Speaker 5: seasons double digit favorites thirty five and twenty six fifty
- 40:50Speaker 5: seven percent. They're eight and five against the spread this year.
- 40:54Speaker 5: This will be the first time double digit favorites above
- 40:56Speaker 5: five hundred three straight seasons in the Super Bowl era.
- 41:00Speaker 5: We have yet to see it happen, and we are
- 41:02Speaker 5: currently seeing it in the last three seasons. So we
- 41:05Speaker 5: will see how those two teams, those three teams performed
- 41:08Speaker 5: this week. But huge road favorite with the Seahawks right
- 41:11Speaker 5: thirteen and a half. We'll see what happens there.
- 41:13Speaker 1: Who's your favorite favorite among the double digits Lions, Ravens, Seahawks.
- 41:18Speaker 1: If you had to lay one right now, Evan.
- 41:20Speaker 5: Interesting, I probably say the Giants. I know it's probably trendy.
- 41:24Speaker 5: I mean, Lions covered thirteen in a row off of
- 41:27Speaker 5: the loss, but that also to me feels like the
- 41:30Speaker 5: best bounce back of the crew. Like I actually think
- 41:33Speaker 5: Tennessee has a little bit of a shot. Maybe how
- 41:36Speaker 5: crazy I am in that one, but I think the
- 41:39Speaker 5: Lions is an easy one, Like the Giants can be
- 41:41Speaker 5: beat so bad and at the end of the game,
- 41:43Speaker 5: I feel like it's a run upper, like they'll just
- 41:46Speaker 5: it's in the it's inside just Lions.
- 41:49Speaker 2: To me, do you think that number is going to
- 41:51Speaker 2: get any better or do you think it's going to
- 41:53Speaker 2: Probably stay about there.
- 41:54Speaker 5: I mean, looking at the market right now ten and
- 41:56Speaker 5: a half, I feel like closer to Sunday it'll go.
- 42:00Speaker 5: But I think right now, I think it's just hanging
- 42:02Speaker 5: like it's about sixty percent of tickets. Maybe it goes
- 42:05Speaker 5: to eleven, but not much higher than that, at least
- 42:07Speaker 5: not till Sunday.
- 42:08Speaker 1: What about Cowboys Eagles history?
- 42:11Speaker 5: The only thing you really got to know the only
- 42:13Speaker 5: thing you really got to know there is Eagles wearing
- 42:15Speaker 5: these Kelly green jerseys. So you're gonna see it everywhere.
- 42:18Speaker 5: But they're undefeated in those, but they rarely wear them
- 42:21Speaker 5: on the road, is what I've seen. I believe it's
- 42:23Speaker 5: been like thirty years since they've done that, usually a
- 42:26Speaker 5: home deal for them.
- 42:27Speaker 4: But we're gonna get those. We're gonna see those stats
- 42:31Speaker 4: on the broadcast.
- 42:32Speaker 5: Thirty one and thirteen against the spread. Only quarterback better
- 42:36Speaker 5: Aaron Rodgers. So yeah, there is definitely something there with
- 42:39Speaker 5: Dak in this but also as an underdog. You don't
- 42:42Speaker 5: get that too many times with him in this division,
- 42:46Speaker 5: But that to me is probably the storyline there. I mean,
- 42:49Speaker 5: Philly's won three straight versus Dallas, but you know that
- 42:53Speaker 5: hasn't happened since two thousand and three and four, which
- 42:55Speaker 5: is kind of odd.
- 42:56Speaker 3: I have a question about this game.
- 42:58Speaker 2: I get you can't and look ahead spot in division,
- 43:02Speaker 2: but do you think that they're looking ahead at all?
- 43:05Speaker 2: With Kansas City and the Lions on deck? I mean,
- 43:08Speaker 2: their schedule coming up is really tough. They've got Kansas City,
- 43:11Speaker 2: the Lions, the Vikings at home, and this Vikings team
- 43:13Speaker 2: isn't the team that we thought they would be at
- 43:14Speaker 2: this point in the season.
- 43:15Speaker 3: I think the.
- 43:16Speaker 2: Chargers have hit a little bit of uh. They've They've
- 43:19Speaker 2: started to kind of pick their game up. They're getting
- 43:21Speaker 2: healthier as the season's going, and then the Commander is
- 43:23Speaker 2: on December twenty fifth. It's kind of their next real,
- 43:25Speaker 2: maybe easy game. Do you see this as like a
- 43:27Speaker 2: look ahead at all? I know, like I said, you
- 43:29Speaker 2: can't have that in division.
- 43:30Speaker 4: But I mean no, there's the super Bowl champs. They
- 43:33Speaker 4: need every game they can. I mean the cow was
- 43:35Speaker 4: essentially after like almost went out to get to the playoffs.
- 43:38Speaker 4: So yeah, this is at home reigning super Bowl champs
- 43:41Speaker 4: their rival. They're not looking they don't care about the
- 43:44Speaker 4: five and five Chiefs. They're not going head to that game.
- 43:48Speaker 1: Chiefs.
- 43:49Speaker 2: It's hard to not look ahead at the Chiefs though,
- 43:51Speaker 2: even if they are five and five.
- 43:53Speaker 4: No, they're not. They don't care.
- 43:54Speaker 1: This is their biggest rival, their.
- 43:57Speaker 4: Biggest game of the year at home against the Eagles
- 43:59Speaker 4: who just won the Super Bowl. This is by far
- 44:01Speaker 4: their biggest game of the year. Like even if they
- 44:03Speaker 4: were out completely out of the playoff picture.
- 44:05Speaker 2: They definitely care about the Chiefs at home on Thanksgiving.
- 44:08Speaker 2: And you're not going to tell me otherwise, But I
- 44:10Speaker 2: appreciate it. I care.
- 44:11Speaker 4: I'm just saying they're not. They're not worried about that.
- 44:13Speaker 4: This week there will be solely focused on the Eagles.
- 44:16Speaker 4: I don't like the Cowboys need every game, like I.
- 44:19Speaker 4: One more loss might do them in. I will say
- 44:23Speaker 4: the Houston the Texans, bill's going the last time. I
- 44:27Speaker 4: just remember the last time they played. It was the
- 44:29Speaker 4: Sean McDermott terrorist game. He all the terrorist memes were
- 44:34Speaker 4: out because the Bills. The Texans punt was tied at twenty.
- 44:37Speaker 4: The Texans punted to them, and they had the ball
- 44:40Speaker 4: at the two yard their own two yard line with
- 44:42Speaker 4: twenty seconds to go, and they you could take knees
- 44:46Speaker 4: and go to overtime. But he threw it. They threw
- 44:49Speaker 4: it three times against that defense, three incomplete passes. They
- 44:53Speaker 4: took four seconds off, like four seconds off the clock,
- 44:56Speaker 4: and that they had a punt and the Texans obviously
- 45:00Speaker 4: got like they like field the punt. It's like the
- 45:02Speaker 4: forty and then they kicked the fifty eight art A
- 45:04Speaker 4: got Win McDermott was I've never seen anything worse. That
- 45:09Speaker 4: was the last time they played their twenty three twenty
- 45:10Speaker 4: Texans win.
