- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Good morning, friends, and enemies.
- 0:02[SPEAKER_00]: You know why you're here?
- 0:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's the waiver wire show for week three.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Michael will be going down the trending tab on sleeper to talk about all the high-strending players, right?
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: The running back injuries that happened this week, the quarterback injuries that happened this week for you super flex hose out there, right?
- 0:17[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, wider severs tight ends.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_00]: All that good stuff you guys know the deal.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoyed the video, make sure you hit the button that looks like this.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_00]: Subscribe to the channel if you are new here and want to see the running back rankings tomorrow wide receiver rankings on Thursday as always and we've got a special one coming out for you guys on Friday.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_00]: So stay tuned, subscribe, and enjoy the video.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_00]: All right Michael, we're going to start off with everyone's favorite position running back and a little bit spicier this week thanks to some injuries that occurred throughout the weekend.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_00]: Now mostly injuries do not seem to be significant.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, that's kind of my read on the situation.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_00]: You have your daring price going down with the chess injury.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_00]: You've got, say, Juan Barclay with the singer to a shoulder.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_00]: You've got JK Dobbins with a slight hamstring tweak to which he's come out and said, I'm good.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, you know, JK Dobbins just loves talking about his health and the most optimistic, you know, view point on Twitter and on planet Earth.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_00]: So who knows if he's actually good, but based on, you know, the three running backs available from the injured running backs ahead of them.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: Is there anyone that you feel like does have a little bit of staying power relative to the other ones based on maybe the injury length or the talent or the situation?
- 1:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's really kind of all the same.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_01]: I think for the most part out of these guys what you're really hoping for is a spot start.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_01]: I will say that Jonah Coleman will be my priority.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_01]: He shows some pop, he shows some juice.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_01]: And we know that there are also two paths to him playing a meaningful role in this backfield, whether it be a Harvey injury or a Dobbins injury.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_01]: And we see that play out last week with RJ Harvey sideline.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_01]: It is roughly 45% of the snaps for Jonah Coleman.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_01]: And then he sees an uptick in usage as soon as Dobbins leaves the game with the hamstring issue.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_01]: And then there's reason to believe as well that he could be playing his way into a larger role.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_01]: Even when all of these guys are healthy, will it be a fantasy relevant role?
- 2:10[SPEAKER_01]: I'm still skeptical on that.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_01]: But the reports all off season long, even from Sean Peyton himself, have been optimistic about what Jonah Coleman can do.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_01]: So I think he is the priority out of this group.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_01]: But if you're looking for a spot start,
- 2:24[SPEAKER_01]: I do think a manual Wilson is the go to guy Wilson he plays upwards of 70% of the snaps after price leaves.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_01]: I will say also that they clarify that it was a shoulder issue for jenarian price on Monday, Mike McDonald clarified that, but a manual Wilson gets really encouraging usage, he ends up logging a 41% snap share on the game and it's entirety, but
- 2:46[SPEAKER_01]: After Judarian Price exited, he saw 15 of the 19 backfield opportunities, did Emmanuel Wilson.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_01]: I do think the game script influenced that usage because Emmanuel Wilson, he is kind of the early-down grinder, George Halani, will be the pass-catching and two-minute back.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_01]: But he is someone who can rack up volume in positive game scripts in spots where the Seattle Seahawks are
- 3:09[SPEAKER_01]: leading.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_01]: Next up, they've got the Washington Commanders in week three.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_01]: The Jaden Daniels list, Washington Commanders at that.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_01]: So I do expect this Seattlecy Octavie playing from a lead in that one as well.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: If Jaden Price doesn't play, that is certainly a spot where we could see 20 plus carries from a manual Wilson once again.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_01]: So if you're looking for long-term, I would go Jonah Coleman,
- 3:30[SPEAKER_01]: just betting on a rookie who's looked encouraging so far this year.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_01]: If you are looking for a spot start, I think it's a manual Wilson given the Jerry and Price injury and a pretty frothy matchup specifically for running backs.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I've agreed.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_00]: Jonah Coleman is crazy because like drafting him in the summer was like, oh, you need so many things to go right and and
- 3:49[SPEAKER_00]: into his favor in order for him to be like any sort of relevant player for fantasy and then we're like one or two weeks into the season and everything is kind of broken into his favor.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_00]: Now, RJ Harvey has the hamstring strain.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't seem overly serious, but for the most part, you know, players miss somewhere between like one to three weeks with the hamstring strain.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_00]: Dobbins, again, came out said not serious.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_00]: He's good.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: You know, this is a hamstring tweet that for the most part, you know, going to miss probably a week, but Harvey might be back.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_00]: So it's hard to tell what the role is going to be.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_00]: If Dobbins is out, I do think Coleman and RJ Harvey probably split the backfield pretty evenly.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't be surprised if Tyler today is kind of in there and just like.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: being a little bit annoying on past blocking reps and really eats into RJ Harvey a little bit, but again, if you step out and look at the bigger picture here, I think then for again, right?
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: They haven't been as pretty as we wanted them to be, but they're going to be a good offense overall.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to score a lot of points.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to have a very good offensive line.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_00]: which makes you optimistic about Jonah Coleman, but I still think a lot of things have to break right.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: And I saw your fab suggestion bid on Jonah Coleman in like the 12 to 14 range for $100 fab suggestions.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's spot on because I think you listen to a lot of like waiver wire pods early in the year.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: And it feels like every dude is like, oh yeah, put like 25 to 35 percent of your fab on this guy, 25 to 35 percent of your fab on this guy.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_00]: And I get it for a guy like Jonah Coleman.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: I do think he's got more upside than most of the guys we've seen on the wire
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: to this point this year in the hypothetical world, but I just don't think it's super sound advice to be chucking out, you know, 30 to 40% of your budget right now on a guy who still has a very, very clear uphill battle to be fantasy relevant at the gate with so much competition there.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: So Coleman would also be my one.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: The read-on-sake one is that it's not overly serious, but you never know something can come back.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: throughout the week, like it could aggravate or flare up the stinger.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_00]: So maybe he misses a game, but long-term, you know, it's still safe on their obviously tankin' will ship me, I think, split carries.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: Man, no, Wilson's a little bit tough to, I guess, get a gauge on just for this upcoming week.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_00]: Like, Sharp is gonna be, Wilson's a nothing when everybody else is healthy in that backfield, obviously.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_00]: What is your read on that injury right now?
- 5:44[SPEAKER_00]: Because it seemed like they were pretty optimistic that it wasn't two serious and they were up.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think you're Darren Price misses week three?
- 5:50[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't have a clear read, I've seen kind of both sides of the coin where the early like comments and quotes coming out of Seattle like they said it was nothing serious, but I've also seen some of the the Twitter docs the the injury docs.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_01]: kind of saying that it is possible that this is something that keeps him out short-term.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_01]: So I do want to put a semi-aggressive bit, nothing like crazy.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_01]: Hand full of dollars in a hundred percent hundred dollar fab league on a manual.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_01]: Wilson, only if I need a spot start.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_01]: If I am in a good spot at running back, I'm not going to be immediately slotting a manual
- 6:31[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just completely avoiding both Emmanuel Wilson and Tank Biggsby.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_01]: Well, Biggsby, I'll walk that back.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_01]: I do think that he is one of the more priority handcuffs I think he should be stashed in leagues with 10 to 12 players, potentially even more managers.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_01]: But for Emmanuel Wilson, I'm not touching him unless I need him as a spot starter.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_01]: So,
- 6:49[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's worth throwing a couple of dollars at a couple of bucks just in case jitterian price does miss time because I can see it playing both ways.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: Worst case scenario, you spend a couple of bucks, you waste that and you just basically cut a manual Wilson right away because price is shooting up.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that the Wednesday practice reports will be really telling if he's not practicing is jitterian price.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_01]: you're going to be feeling pretty good about spending a couple of dollars on your manual Wilson.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't really have a clear answer there.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'm kind of middleing it.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_01]: If I need running back production right away, I'm going to be making a bid, but I'm not going to be getting out of line with it.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, definitely tough for you down the injury.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_00]: Amanda Wilson had good games with the packers last year when given the workhorse role.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's also, you know, shouldn't be shaken right off that he had over 20 carries in this game immediately.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: So the coaching staff
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: uh... image jonsons looked really good behind teneth walker clearly the hank of kind of walkers just like an absolute animal right now so him and tanker kind of in the same you know stratosphere i think in terms of hank of guys at this point it does feel like a johnson would have a bigger role than tank would just pound for pound if the guy in front of them word again hurt so maybe you want to lean that way but obviously tank has a clear path to getting on the field right now because the injury what is going on in New Orleans man
- 8:03[SPEAKER_00]: Is it just over for Travis ETN because he was a dude that I took at the four or five turn in my big league here.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_00]: And I am like begging for nine, 11, 12 points out of him in a full PPR league, you know, Kendra Miller grabs the touchdown in week two.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: They make him a healthy scratching week, or sorry, in week one, they make him healthy scratching week two, get tomorrow on the field.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_00]: And like I knew this was gonna happen.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_00]: Over the summer that was like my gut feeling the whole time is, you know, Kumar is gonna be on the team.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_00]: And with the injury, I was like, Oh, Kumar is going to be out for like three weeks, a month or whatever.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: Not the case gets on there.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: We two targeted carries, like not even outplaying ETN, but ETN's also not outplaying anyone else.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like, I don't know really what to make the situation.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_01]: it pains me that I had to write up Alvin Camara this week.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_01]: I added them to the the waiver writeups because you just can't ignore 15 touches.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_01]: I think that Alvin Camara is unbelievably cooked.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_01]: Like he is just beyond the the downturn of his career.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_01]: We are well past that stage.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_01]: He is obviously washed at this point.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_01]: but you can't ignore 15 touches.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_01]: I will say that his six targets did come on nine routes.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_01]: That is just so obviously unsustainable.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_01]: That is not something that we're going to be seeing.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_01]: And what I also added is what you kind of said is that Cameras presence and what we saw out of him in week one week two rather.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_01]: It has a bigger impact.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_01]: It's more meaningful for a chance value than it is his own.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's a total disaster.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_01]: What I said is like, Kellen Moore just doesn't seem to care that the front office gave a Chan 20 million guaranteed dollars this office and he just doesn't care whatsoever.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_01]: So I want to like leave the light on and like understand that these kind of weird usage things they they can be not so sticky.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_01]: They they can change develop shift course over the course of the season.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_01]: But for the time being, yeah, it literally looks like
- 9:58[SPEAKER_01]: Whoever it is, whoever they decide they want it to be, whether it be Kamara, whether it be Kendra and Miller, whether it be CJ Donaldson, who is getting past catching work in week one, they just want someone to take work off of Hans plate and that obviously just crushes his fantasy value.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that you have to be pivoting on the long-term value of Travis Hans, perhaps things change, but man, this is a disaster.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_01]: And if you're in a bad way at the running back position,
- 10:28[SPEAKER_01]: some sort of a receiving role in this backfield.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_01]: He could be a break glass in case of emergency kind of flex play.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_01]: If he continues to see a handful of targets every week.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's not great out there in New Orleans.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_00]: Another backfield with a not very situation going on.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: Green Bay Packers.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, Marsha on Lloyd, a lot of victory laps being run in the summer for people that drafted him.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_00]: Not looking great right now, did get into the end zone.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: Dude, I took him at the six, seven turn in another league that I had.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, I needed an RB2 bed when he, I had Gibbs at the one and I didn't take a running back until much later.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_00]: So it came out.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, I'll get like a month of good production out of him.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_00]: Turns out that was a lie.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: He ends up getting into the end zone, but then fumbles and Caleb Johnson actually outcarries him and looks better than him.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_00]: The Packers Backfield situation is just like, so messy and I don't know that we're gonna have confidence to play any of these guys on a week to week basis until Jacob gets back.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_00]: We don't have the suspension news on Jacob yet.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_00]: Most reports are like pushing towards, hey, he probably gets a six game suspension which will count the games that he's already serving right now.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_00]: But I think there's a chance we see him
- 11:31[SPEAKER_00]: In week seven, and obviously once Jacob's back, it's going to be his backfield and pretty much full steam ahead.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, this run out has almost been the best possible run out for a guy like Jacob's where nobody's performing up to any sort of standard where you need to have them on the field.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: So you're getting split cares between Caleb, you're getting split cares between Marshawn, you're getting split cares between Christopher Brooks.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_00]: Based on how the game ended and Caleb ending with the most carries, Marshawn Lloyd fumbling the ball, is there any world where like Caleb becomes relevant over the next
- 12:01[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's a world.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not interested.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_01]: I will make no claims on Caleb Johnson.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just kind of at the point where I'm done with the backfield.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_01]: Much like you, I was making bets on March on Lloyd.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_01]: I was thrilled and got fired up when it was announced that he was going on the commissioner's exemplist was Josh Jacobs.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_01]: I was happy to have him because I was taking a lot of him in the very late rounds of drafts.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_01]: But man, this, this has been an absolute nightmare.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_01]: I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I believe after the fumble it was zero touches for Martian Lloyd.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_01]: And you can't even like cling to anything because he just hasn't looked good in the time where he's gotten opportunities.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_01]: He's had some moments here and there, but in totality, it just hasn't been an overwhelmingly positive experience with
- 12:47[SPEAKER_01]: March on Lloyd on your roster with him on the field for the Green Bay Packers.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_01]: They're just begging for Jacobs to be back, man.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_01]: This is just a total mess, like you said.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_01]: I really just don't want any part of this backfield at this point.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_00]: The old line is so bad to go back.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: The old line, we know coming into the year.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: They were going to be like below average.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: Probably didn't think it was going to be this bad.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_00]: But now they lose that Tom for the year, which is their best tackle.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_00]: The Aaron Brooks got banged up to.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_00]: I would be shocked if he ended up playing on Thursday night against the Falcons.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_00]: It was already bad and it just got significantly worse.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_00]: So outside of some superhuman performance from Caleb Johnson, which we're probably not going to get here, it's going to be nearly impossible to start any of these guys going forward.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_00]: So even when Jacob's returns, I might throw some lowball offers out for Jacob's right now.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_00]: If the current owner doesn't want to sit on him anymore, just because of the trend of how bad the running backs have been and how much I project his work to be because of it.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_00]: When he comes back, but
- 13:39[SPEAKER_00]: Even last year, Jacob struggled a lot to get anything going on the ground.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_00]: He's obviously like a touchdown machine and I think you can catch the ball when, you know, give in targets, but with, you know, how much they struggle to open up lanes for him last year and now the injuries to the offensive line immediately now is like, yeah, I don't know, just not a lot of optimism out there in a green bay for the, for the running back group.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I don't even know how interested I am in throwing a little ball off as a Jacob's you were spot on.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_01]: It's the touchdowns.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_01]: That's all that carries Josh Jacob's fantasy value and the fact that he's been a bell guy.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_01]: I think 2024 he had 40 gold ago carries.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_01]: In 2024, that's just ridiculous.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_01]: And given the state of this offense, I mean, I really love Jordan Love.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_01]: I really love the past catchers.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_01]: I like a little flur, a man.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_01]: It is tough to get fired up about Jacob's being provided those scoring opportunities at the moment.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_00]: Let's move over to probably a little bit more of an exciting position this week.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_00]: Ish, uh, wider severs.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_00]: I believe if I'm not mistaken, your top guy along with many people's out there is a rookie from the Cleveland Browns.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_00]: Denzel Boston, correct?
- 14:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Boston.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_01]: Boston is in someone that I fall in love with by any means, but I think that he has proven that he needs to be stashed on benches while just evaluating what happens because he has shown that he has legit playmaking ability, especially as just an explosive downfield playmaker week one.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_01]: It's a 40 something yard bomb.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_01]: for a touchdown.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_01]: Last week, it was a 55-yard touchdown where he shows real yacability.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_01]: He breaks a couple of tackles and then he sprints 30-ish yards to the house.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_01]: So the production has been there largely because of those explosive plays.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_01]: The one hangup that I have, the one concern is something that I kind of talked about with Caleb Douglas a couple of weeks back when we were going
- 15:31[SPEAKER_01]: I just, in this sort of offensive environment, I really need to see players start in the consolidate volume to a really high degree.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_01]: We all know that the 40 50 yard touchdowns they aren't gonna be coming with regularity.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_01]: So to get by in the Browns offense,
- 15:47[SPEAKER_01]: He needs to be like the clear cut number one target earner in this environment in this situation.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_01]: We haven't gotten there just yet.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_01]: He has a 21.2% target share and 0.20 targets per hour run.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_01]: Both the really solid marks.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_01]: But in my opinion, across a full season, that won't be enough to give him the floor required to be comfortable starting him in your lineup.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_01]: We do each shirt.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_01]: You can get him in there as a high ceiling, like just hoping that he has one of those big plays, one of those long touchdowns.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_01]: But he's gonna need to get more volume.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_01]: He's gonna need to take a bigger slice of the pie in the Browns offense.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_01]: In my opinion, for him to be someone that we're considering on a week to week basis.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_01]: optimistic that that could change after he's seen Denzel Boston make quality plays maybe Todd Monkin decides that he's going to make him the first read scheme more plays for Denzel Boston perhaps that happens and the film has been good he's like winning as a downfield or series he's winning with physicality like the Denzel Boston that we saw in college that's what's showing up in the NFL but I really need to see more volume that that's really where I'm at right now.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, he obviously a highly tired of draft pick.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_00]: The buzz out of camp all summer was like phenomenal on him and they were like, yeah, this guy's a real playmaker.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to play a lot in our offense.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_00]: And he's been north of a 90% you know, route guy, which is great to see.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, obviously, just being on the Cleveland offense, your weekly floor is just so low, because at end point, Watson can throw for 140 yards.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_00]: two picks, no touchdowns and you're getting two points out of a dude like Boston.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_00]: He is like the perfect.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_00]: If you if you draft a lot, Denzel Boston and Bestball, it's like real pureest run out ever right now.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_00]: But in a redraft league, you have to think about these things differently.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, he's going to be a fine by week villain, but on a down-to-down basis, it's going to be very difficult to trust putting him into your lineup.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_00]: He's got some good matchups ahead.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_00]: Carolina Pittsburgh, the New York Jets and things are really nice down the stretch too.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_00]: Like schedule for the Cleveland Browns really never gets to a point where you're like
- 17:44[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what they're going to do a quarterback right now.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_00]: Watson was good enough to definitely keep the job for at least another week, but like he'll have one bad game that everyone's like should door again.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_00]: So people are very reactionary with all these things regardless like if it's Watson.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_00]: I'm scared to have him at my wife receiver if it should door.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_00]: He's likely going to, you know, pepper guys like fan in and Casey concepts, you know, and over the middle.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I get it.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_00]: Why Boston's probably the number one guy on the waiver wire for a lot of people.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_00]: I just have such a tough.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_00]: time buying into what the floor of a guy like him could just be on a week to week basis.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_00]: I think and and I might buy my tongue here, but I'm going to go for it.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_00]: I still think I'd rather have a guy like add an eye Mitchell.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_00]: I still think I probably wouldn't prefer don't have you in wicks overbossing because I think the long term prowess
- 18:25[SPEAKER_00]: of him might be a little bit higher, or the ceiling of him might be a little bit higher.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_00]: But those are guys that we continue to throw out on a week-to-week basis, where 80 Mitchell runs all the routes, you know, Smith clearly likes him, you know, Smith has got time and he's able to throw the ball, they play Detroit this upcoming week, which is nice, Dante V. and Wix has been the clear too.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_00]: Dallas got her just going to be out, so there goes more routes.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, Mackay Lemon is running a lot of routes there, so that is something to be
- 18:48[SPEAKER_00]: uh... there's something to be uh... hold enough uh... i i don't really know to make of the fourth quarter there with filly cuz wicks only played on like fifty five percent of the snaps while lemon was in for like ninety five percent of them so i don't know if it was like a stinger in injury that occurred or whatnot but do you have uh... you know uh... sway one way or the other on eighty michael verse wicks i know you and i have both been on eighty michael is or anything that's kind of like come to uh... the four front that makes you think differently about either these situations
- 19:15[SPEAKER_01]: not really I kind of bucket them into the same group of wide receivers I was writing up wicks and I think that might take away what I wrote is like this is like the most straightforward situation ever it's a guy who's running a full compliment of routes.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_01]: He's been relatively efficient on those routes.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_01]: I believe his yards per hour on 2.72 so far this year.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_01]: So he's been relatively efficient when he's on the field.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_01]: He's just not pushing a Devontosmith for targets 0.19 targets per hour.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_01]: So far this season for Dantevian Wix.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_01]: So and the other part there is that the Eagles are passing a lot more.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_01]: We saw 42 dropbacks.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_01]: out of Jalen Hertz last week, he only cracked 40 drop-backs in three games last year.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_01]: So it's a offense that's passing more often than we thought.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_01]: He's running a lot of routes.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_01]: He's earning enough volume to be fantasy relevant and he's been efficient when he's on the field.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's nothing exciting, but it's enough to
- 20:11[SPEAKER_01]: be okay, getting him into your lineup.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_01]: If you're in a tough spot, we'll see if the situation if the role changes in the coming weeks.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_01]: For now, it's just like a floor driven flex play for me.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe you hit on a big play.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: But for the most part, it's just
- 20:26[SPEAKER_01]: all about the routes.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_01]: That's what his value is being driven by.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_01]: 80 Mitchell.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_01]: It's more of the same, but I do think that there is more that can be done in the target earning department because you see the box score here 12 targets last week, 30 percent target share or 80 Mitchell on the season he is posting.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_01]: really quality numbers from a volume perspective 23.1% target share, 0.26 targets per route run, and 2.16 yards per route run.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_01]: All really rock solid.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_01]: You combine the volume stuff with the fact that we have also seen him be a high level downfield playmaker Halls in a 40-yard reception in week one against the Titan.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_01]: So I think
- 21:09[SPEAKER_01]: I think that there is more for 80 Mitchell to do in terms of challenging the clear cut number one for Target's Garrett Wilson versus Devante Smith.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_01]: We've seen him be a high-level target earner in the past, albeit with Garrett Wilson off the field.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, maybe it's just my bias kind of leaking here.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_01]: I really like 80 Mitchell.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_01]: I've really cooled undontabin wicks.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_01]: Generally speaking, I would say that they're kind of in the same bucket of wider sewers,
- 21:37[SPEAKER_01]: do lean a little bit towards add and I Mitchell just given what we've seen from his ability to create explosive plays, create separation, earn targets at an incredibly high level.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, their career arcs thus far are so similar.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_00]: It feels like they were both
- 21:52[SPEAKER_00]: to, you know, good separators coming out of college had a lot of people that, you know, were kind of attached to them because their separation numbers and, you know, fast, explosive, can make plays down field.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_00]: Go to offenses where they're like the widers you were four, five, can they're kind of really cracking to the line up and then all of a sudden, move teams and they get all the opportunity they want.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, they're just a bit inconsistent as always those are the type of players they are.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_00]: They're like high ceiling, low floor types of guys.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but I agree with you.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_00]: I like adding I Mitchell more as a player.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_00]: The jets very clearly trust him.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_00]: Both of them do have first round picks that will eventually make impacts in their respective offenses.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_00]: So it's it's a little weird.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_00]: It's a little weird situation, but yeah, I definitely prefer adding I Mitchell here.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think Wix is the worst pickup here, though.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_00]: And we can move to some other
- 22:35[SPEAKER_00]: fake wide receivers at big weeks like trade Tucker, you know, who'll have a big week every eight weeks, but as soon as Bowers is back on the field, I have almost no confidence that we're going to see any sort of consistency here.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_00]: We had Buffalo, DJ Moore ended up, you know, dealing with the shoulder little stingers well.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_00]: He's kind of day to day right now.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_00]: Normally, that's one week absence, but since they played on Thursday night, there's a chance that he does suit up in week three.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_00]: If he doesn't, you know, you can tell me if you feel differently, but like, I, you know, as well as Josh Allen is playing, this is still not a receiver core that I'm interested in rolling the dice on in week three right now, even in my flex.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_00]: Like, can't call him and looked fine.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_00]: He's had a handful of games throughout his career.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_00]: A couple of chicures already probably own, so I'm not really even referring to him.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_00]: You have Josh Palmer has made some big plays early on, but like I just
- 23:20[SPEAKER_00]: just don't see a world where outside of like 14, 16 team leagues, a dude like Kian Coleman or Josh Palmer's, someone that I'm spending up on, because DJ Moore is going to be back.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_00]: It's DJ Moore's Dalton conkated James Cook and, you know, they're they're not dudes that I'm prioritizing whatsoever.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, not really
- 23:35[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I wrote up Keon Coleman.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_01]: I think he could be the one-week roster band-aid, but I'm not like prioritizing him on the waiver wire whatsoever.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_01]: If I like desperately need a flex play, I'll throw a bit on him, maybe a dollar or two, but I'm not upset if I miss out on him because those can be found just about everywhere.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_01]: Every single week we saw guys like Rashad Bateman.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_01]: was the kind of like the poster boy of that last week he goes off.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_01]: You can find those sorts of options who have some level of upside.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_01]: I will say in the absence of DJ Moore, Keon Coleman ran something like 81% of the route.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_01]: So it is a juggernaut offense and you're getting a guy who's going to be out there probably just about every single snap if DJ Moore is out of the lineup.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_01]: So
- 24:19[SPEAKER_01]: There's some level of intrigue in there just from a role perspective and just how good this offense is like creating scoring opportunities, sustaining drives, creating explosive plays, pushing the ball down field.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_01]: That's kind of where the intrigue is coming from, but I really don't want to make the move, unless I just absolutely have to.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, it feels like the same thing with Kiana Coleman every year.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_00]: Early on, they want to force the issue and be like, we use the draft capital.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_00]: We have to get this guy going.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_00]: They try to get the guy going has maybe a good gamer too and then starts to fade away because he just kind of becomes the player that I think he is at the NFL level.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_00]: They're
- 24:54[SPEAKER_00]: There's a couple other injuries, you know, you noted Rashad Bateman's eight flours is dealing with a hamstring strain where, you know, he did return to a limited practice this week.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_00]: I, or last week, I don't think that guarantees him suiting up in week three.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_00]: If he doesn't, you know, Rashad Bateman, I think is a pretty good flex play given what we just saw out of him plus they get to play against Dallas.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_00]: So if you
- 25:11[SPEAKER_00]: You rossed him, pick him up, or keep him obviously, and I think you can flex him in this upcoming week.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_00]: If he's available on your waiver wire, I don't think there are worse options because, again, hamstring strains are notoriously like lingering types of issues, even when the pain subsides, like they're still underlying kind of tissue damage there that teams tend to lean on the side of safety there.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_00]: So I think Bateman's good, a couple other injuries that I do want to bring up, though, Alec Pierce.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_00]: as well as Caleb Douglas.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_00]: So Caleb Douglas got off to, you know, a hot summer, hot start, high ankle spraying.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to be out for the foreseeable future, which opens up targets for Malik Washington, probably.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_00]: He's become this like floor play.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_00]: I actually really don't hate him because of just how poor the depth is there at Miami.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_00]: Chris Bell, I would like to be more optimistic about him, but we didn't even see like a snap increase or a route increase from week one to week two despite the Caleb Douglas injury.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_00]: So
- 26:00[SPEAKER_00]: He's still someone I would say, I would like to see what he can do with Caleb Douglas out, but I wouldn't have very high hopes with him on my bench at this very moment.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_00]: And then you have Alec Pierce reactivated like the heel area on Sunday night football.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_00]: And this was something he was dealing with, obviously, throughout the summer.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_00]: As he recovered from his surgery and it was like a very lengthy recovery.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_00]: And then it seems like not great.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_00]: He couldn't put any pressure on it.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_00]: Like just didn't look good coming off of the field.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_00]: opens up a lot of targets for Josh Downs.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_00]: There was a word that Keenan Allen should be expecting a three game suspension.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_00]: When that's going to come, I don't know.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_00]: I'll tell you who, you know, I actually don't hate as a pick-up this week.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_00]: The Quantred will.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_00]: I know, I know, I know, but we've seen weird things happen in fantasy, man.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_00]: And I do think he will, if Keenan's out, he's like the only dude that can play outside.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I love Josh Downs.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_00]: He'll earn a ton of targets over the middle and will probably be the leading target guy there with Tyler Warren.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_00]: I will put La Quantredwell into the, like, Dante V in Wix conversation, like archetype tier.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's, you'll get similarish type performances out of him.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_00]: So tell me why I'm right.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_01]: I'm, I just grown in because, like, how have we reached that point in this season that we have to talk about La Quantredwell in, uh, in a week to waver show.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, like, it's a fine show.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_01]: I personally, I'm operating under the assumption that Tyler Warren and Josh Downs are going to see something like 60 to 70% of the targets every week.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_01]: You throw in JT as well, 60 to 70% might be a little too optimistic.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_01]: But still like JT's been earning targets since Shane Stike and brought in Daniel Jones.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_01]: Josh Downs believe is a high-level target earner, Tyler Warren, Keenan Allen's approving target earner.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't know how much is left on the pie for in the pie for Lequan Treadwell.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_01]: It's a reasonable shout because where are they going to go?
- 27:48[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see how things shake out with Keenan Allen once.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_01]: We see when that suspension is due to come, what I've read is that it will be likely handed down once the legal process plays out.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_01]: The Jacob situation, we saw the league step in.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_01]: Typically, that's how they operate is they wait for the legal process to play out the league stepped in in the Jacob situation.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_01]: This is obviously not something like that.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's a DUI.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_01]: They're not going to step in, put them on the exemplist for that.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see if that suspension comes anytime soon.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_01]: when I would start to consider Lequan trade well, because it opens up both the path to routes and targets.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_01]: But one name that you did throw out there, that I was kind of taking a back, not necessarily like for the wrong reasons, it's just like surprised when I dug into was Malik Washington.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_01]: Malik Washington, he is seeing a vastly different role this year than what we've grown accustomed to through his two NFL seasons to this point.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_01]: Over the last two years, he's been kind of known as like the PPR scammer, the screen merchant, this guy who's getting some design looks just catching screens, drags, what have you.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_01]: He, that's led to him having a sub 6 yard 8 out in each of the last two years.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_01]: Very different this year, through two games, 11.77 yard 8 out.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_01]: He's also seen four deep targets through two games.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_01]: Last two years combined, just seven deep targets.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_01]: So,
- 29:09[SPEAKER_01]: You couple that downfield usage with the fact that Caleb Douglas is likely going to miss some time.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_01]: You brought up Chris Bell hasn't been brought up to full speed just yet.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_01]: So you have a clear path to him really dominating the targets in Miami.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_01]: And again, what we talked about in reference to Caleb Douglas is that is kind of a necessity to have any sort of fantasy value in
- 29:34[SPEAKER_01]: Am I fired up about Malik Washington?
- 29:37[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely not.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_01]: Was I pretty encouraged to see that we could have some sort of a blend of downhill usage and real volume?
- 29:45[SPEAKER_01]: I think that that is interesting to say the least.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_01]: I once again, I kind of labeled him as one of those band-aid, break glass in case of emergency kind of flex plays.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, agreed.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_00]: I think like usage is relatively encouraging.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously just the injury and the lack of depth there in my amy.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he's already running 100% of the routes in in week one.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_00]: They got blown out in week two.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_00]: They do have some tough match of KC Minnesota.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know how, you know, excited.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_00]: I am to get him to my line up right away, but I.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you're getting a dude who bad offense.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's like a little reminiscent of Wandell Robinson last year where his role did expand He's getting a lot of targets.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_00]: They are taking more shots down field and he won't produce like Wandell last year But at this point in the season, I would probably prefer Malik Washington to Wandell early starting the same tier for where they're currently both at right now Which is a long fall from grace.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_00]: Is there anyone else on the waiver wire list that you want to touch on before we move out?
- 30:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, let's let's move on to Titans.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_01]: There's a couple exciting ones.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, at the top of the list.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'm very excited.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, I can't do the Zach Earth stuff.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not doing the Darren Waller stuff either.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_01]: Like I get like if you want to just play the lottery, like buy a scratch off ticket and see if you win.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_01]: He's just not running enough routes.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_01]: I believe what he has two touchdowns on the year out of his five receptions.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_01]: I get it like the the thesis is you're just rolling the dice and hoping he scores a touchdown, but I don't like to make that sort of bet unless I am just in a disaster situation.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_01]: The two that I find to be particularly intriguing Terrence Ferguson, of course, oh, yeah, you knew where I was going with this one.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_01]: Terrence Ferguson, of course, it was the most obvious like T-Vergspot ever last night on Monday night football.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_01]: Who gonna cool is out?
- 31:31[SPEAKER_01]: They don't have very much wide receiver depth whatsoever.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's gonna be Dvante Adams and the Titans, Terrence Ferguson, the most talented past catcher of the bunch, he goes on to blow up 30% target share 17.4 PPR points.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_01]: I hope you kept him on your roster after a total dud in week one.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not like willing to say that he's a must-start tight-end moving forward.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_01]: But it's definitely a spot where I want to see what his role looks like, both from a rouse and targets perspective, a pine, pukin' a cuis return because
- 32:03[SPEAKER_01]: You kind of got it all.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_01]: We saw his ability to command volume.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_01]: There was some playmaking flashes of playmaking ability there as well.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_01]: He has a bunch of yac on one of the receptions if I'm remembering correctly, but from just a baseline scoring perspective, that's a that's a difference making score at Titan again.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_01]: It obviously comes in a game where Pugunaku is out, but I really do think that there's something there and then around a gadsden just an attrition thing.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_01]: both of the starting tight ends.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_01]: They're on IR, Charlie Colar with a forearm, David and Joku, with a fibula, if I'm not mistaken, some of the doctors who evaluate these injuries, they're saying it's gonna be pretty long-term injury for David and Joku could be out for a very extended stretch of the season.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_01]: So, what are the charges gonna do?
- 32:46[SPEAKER_01]: I would not be surprised if they make a better in signing, but he has had the runway cleared for him to run just a ton of routes, and I get the concern.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_01]: about the Chargers offense and how around they guys didn't fit in.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_01]: But man, we saw a real pop out of this guy average 8.8 gbr points for game as a fifth round rookie.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_01]: He has some spike weeks there in the middle stretch of the season where some people were talking about this guy as like a rest of season top eight tight end where you were going to be starting him every single week.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_01]: That's not how it pans out.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_01]: But for a fifth round rookie flashing that sort of like
- 33:20[SPEAKER_01]: really encouraging and now there's just such limited competition.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_01]: If you're in a bad way at Titan, Ferguson and Gadsden are the two ones that I am keeping on.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_01]: I'll throw Dalton Schultz out there.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_01]: He should've been picked up already.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_01]: He dominates in week to leads the Titan position in scoring targets receiving yards receptions.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously an outlier game, but if he's out there and you're in in need of a Titan, he should be the number one pick up.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think Nico's more likely to miss week three than he isn't, which would mean, you know, Donald Charlottes will be a good shout there.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Zach Kurtz's phone must have been ringing off the fucking hokey yesterday.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to throw the tight end of the series.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I had to drop Ferguson because I had Donald, I had to pick up Drew Locke and I had Nico and I had Jordan Mason and that killed me to do it.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_00]: And I knew like, it's such a strong rule to live by is just like, don't drop the guys that you draft after week one.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's such a reactionary drop.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_00]: unless you're forced to, which I did.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, this is kind of what we talked about.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_00]: This is what a lot of people talked about.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_00]: It turns Ferguson kind of becomes what Gisicki is in Cincinnati where if one of the top guys is out, he becomes the next dude up and catches a lot of passes.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_00]: And we saw with Puka, I don't really have a good read on the Puka situation.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_00]: I know they made it out to be like this real game time decision, but he was a DMP on Friday.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_00]: He was a DMP on Saturday.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_00]: It seemed like they already knew that he was not going to play.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_00]: Come Monday night, like all the reports had kind of pushed that way.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 34:37[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know that I'm overly confident Pooka plays in week three either.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's definitely a chance he does, but if he doesn't, you know, turns Ferguson would be a decent start.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_00]: They do have some really, really tough matchups I had though at Denver at Philadelphia, and Pooka will definitely be back, I think, by the end of that stretch at worst.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_00]: Gatson is very interesting to me, though, because of, like you said, a war of attrition at this point.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_00]: In joke, who coal are both on the IR.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_00]: There's just no one really to force him off the field.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what their game plan is going to be obviously they've got nothing going on offense.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's looking like McDonald's fake sharp at this point, but they have to throw target somewhere.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_00]: Lads banged up QJ, I don't know if he's caught more than two passes on the season and Gatsom was really good for a decent stretch of the season last year, so I like to pick up another dude who's got just a nightmare of a schedule though at Buffalo, at Seattle, Denver, at Kansas City, by Rams, Houston, Baltimore, like everyone's heard it at this point.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't see a world where Gatson's not running 70 to 80% of the routes right now with the injuries to the position.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_00]: So I think Gatson in a perfect world would probably be my one over Ferguson just due to the injuries that are present on his
- 35:49[SPEAKER_01]: I don't probably end up shaking out that they are within a dollar if not the same bad recommendation for me.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_01]: It's probably going to end up being Ferguson just given the quality of the offense.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_01]: Like we have basically no question.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_01]: I know that we won was in great, but you can pretty much explain that away pretty easily for the ram struggles in that one.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_01]: Pretty much no question about this team being just a powerhouse.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_01]: on offense, Matt, Staff, or Pukin' Akua, you get this story.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that's kind of like the tiebreaker for me, but generally speaking, if I need a tie-to-end, I would be happy to grab either of those.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, one other quick shout I want to give is Kenyan Sadik.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_00]: He had a bed week two and didn't play much, but I believe Mason Taylor came down with an injury.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_00]: I don't actually know the significance of it.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_00]: I can't remember.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_00]: Do you have that information up?
- 36:40[SPEAKER_00]: We can always look at it.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_01]: No, I don't.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_01]: I do remember him going out though.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so keeping an eye on Mason Taylor's thumb injury, if it happens to be severe, a very good chance you get to end up on the IR, and that would obviously open up more routes for Kenyan said, Deep, more of just like a high-end stash if you, you know, you need to tighten to on the roster and anything like that.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, let's circle back to the quarterback.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_00]: So we have a bunch of injuries this week, and, you know, I do want to touch and show some love on the super flex leagues here.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_00]: We have a couple of injuries that I think are still like very much shaking out.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_00]: We don't know the severity of them.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_00]: We have Caleb Williams with the hamstring.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_00]: The great one hamstring heard around the world.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_00]: We don't even know, you know, his timetable, whether it's a week, if it's three weeks, but it looks like it's just a pretty standard like hamstring strain, which will keep a player out for, you know, one to two to three to four weeks.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_00]: I think the fact that he is likely going to avoid short-term IR from what I'm sensing.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_00]: You know, that could obviously age very poorly as every fantasy video that we do at tends to do when it comes to injuries, but I think that's a win for Chicago Bears.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_00]: If he does not get placed on the IR, likely going to miss time regardless though, and Tyson Beijing will fill in now that, you know, you're playing against Philadelphia this week.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_00]: You do get the Jets in week four and Green Bay in Atlanta after that, but the uncertainty of Caleb Williams' timeline makes me pretty queasy to drop any dollars on him in super flex leagues.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_00]: You have Marcus Mario to fill in for Jade and Daniels for the time being.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_00]: Dale is another one where I feel like there was a lot of Twitter dot conversation about, oh, he's probably going to have surgery.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, he's going to be out for a long time.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_00]: If you listen to the Twitter docs that are like former NFL Twitter docs and ones that are like really, they have their hands on the actual players themselves, most of them were way more optimistic about it, where they're like, I don't think Jade is going to have surgery.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_00]: He's probably going to try to push through this and you can play with a brace on your arm sooner rather than later.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't know that Jayden just wants to throw another season away with the elbow dislocation.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, you know, I'm just saying things without context of knowing what Jayden Daniels is thinking you're going through right now.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_00]: But if I had the lean 51 49, I do think Jayden's probably going to be back sooner rather than later, which also makes me a little bit hesitant on Marcus Marriota who gets Seattle in this upcoming week.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_00]: So it's going to be very difficult to start him.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_00]: And then who knows when when Jayden's going to return to the line up there?
- 38:55[SPEAKER_00]: So do you have any other, you know, do you have more insider or different read on either
- 39:00[SPEAKER_01]: I will say the the one thing that has me cling to hope on the Jaden Daniel situation is that Adam Shefter had a quote.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was like on the pat mac of each show or something, but I saw it on Twitter He's saying that at least as if yesterday Jaden doesn't want to have the surgery is what he was hearing So that's pretty optimistic.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_01]: I mean obviously if the doctors are like pounding the table like you need to have this like there's just no way around it That that could change that they're saying that they're gonna be gathering information here in the coming days
- 39:30[SPEAKER_01]: who knows, maybe by the time this is out, we've got information, but that's great.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_01]: Honestly, that's just optimistic for if you're a Jayden Daniels owner and then it dampers expectations for Marcus Mario to, if you're in a super flex league, Beijing and Mario to a man, I wouldn't really even be looking to put in a claim.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_01]: If you're, unless you're just in a real, real bad way in a super flexly, obviously, a single QB league, unless you're playing in like an 18, 20 man league, like maybe maybe there's a world where that works, but yeah, note no consideration and pretty dampered expectations in super flex leagues for those two.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_01]: James Winston, we know what the story is.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_01]: Jackson, Dart, MCL, Sprayne, probably gonna miss at a minimum a couple of weeks, maybe a month or so.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_01]: We'll just have to wait and
- 40:14[SPEAKER_01]: You know what you're getting?
- 40:15[SPEAKER_01]: Again, it's a total of just like a lot of scratch off type of deal.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_01]: We know that the ceiling is pretty high because he's just willing to sling the rock, put the push the ball down, feel it, put it in harm's way.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes far too often, it was a disastrous performance out of Winston in week one.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_01]: He throws a pick takes two sacks.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_01]: It was like 4.1 yards per attempt.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_01]: I will say that he was under siege all night long.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_01]: I believe the final pressure rate was 58%.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_01]: That is a very talented Ram's offensive line.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_01]: So if you want to roll the dice, I think that there's more upside out of James Winston, assuming Malik neighbors is good to go and they have a full complement of past catchers and weapons.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_01]: I think the upside is higher for James Winston week to week, obviously a huge gamble.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_01]: So he's probably the one that I will have my eye on in super flex leagues
- 41:03[SPEAKER_01]: If you're in a bad enough spot that you're looking to add one of these guys, you probably need to be taking on risk looking for that upside that James Winston has to offer.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think I'm a line there.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_00]: I would go.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_00]: James says one, like I'm not going to look at last nice performance as he kind of taking over in an emotional game versus a very tough defense to be like, this is what he is now.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_00]: He did look.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_00]: as bad as we've seen him over the last couple of years, no doubt about it, but like he's getting all the starter reps throughout the week, and Malik neighbors is playing, which, you know, is if he'll probably be a little bit limited, if he doesn't end up shooting up, but like I like came this a little bit more than Mario to Mario to be a close second and Tyson Beijing would be a very, very far off.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, third at this point in my eyes.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_00]: Are there any like one quarterback streamers on this list that peak your interest here?
- 41:47[SPEAKER_00]: Coylor Murray will be back for the Viking this week against a pretty shitty Tampa bait defense.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_00]: So please unknown.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's a fine stream.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_00]: Young's playing out of his mind right now.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_00]: The matchups have been really, really easy thus far.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_00]: And then Tyler shock, I just think is probably a very good fantasy.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_00]: quarterback.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_00]: He's owned in 48% of league.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_00]: So not probably available in most sharp leagues in the last one.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_00]: I will kind of bring up here would be Drew Locke who, you know, they're not going to throw the ball a ton.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_00]: They're playing Washington who likely will be without Jayden Daniels.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_00]: So you're not going to get a very high, you know, pass attempt number.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_00]: That being said, I think
- 42:22[SPEAKER_00]: Every pass attempt he throws is going to be a lot more valuable than other quarterbacks because every pass attempt he throws goes to Jackson Smith and Jigba and that man makes plays out of nothing so I don't hate Drew Locke as a you know a deeper super flex add if he's still available for you there or if you're really, really, really desperate at quarterback in a you know like a fucking 20 man league and you're looking for a stream or something like that.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think at this point, shock and young have done enough to be in like the matchup based QB1 conversation.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_01]: Most weeks, they're probably going to be flirting right around that like top 12 QB thresholds.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see, maybe they push past that, but the results have been encouraging.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_01]: The one thing on shock is that so much of it has come and catch up mode.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_01]: They have had just horrific first halves, both games zero point scored in either first half for the
- 43:12[SPEAKER_01]: out of what his 40s something that he has on season nine have come in first half and he just turns it on turns into a superhero in the second half and then we also get an overtime period in week one so I think that I would like to see more consistency.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_01]: like to see them show up in the first app, but at a minimum, it's great to see that they can be a high octane offense for stretches of games.
- 43:36[SPEAKER_01]: So that is the one cause for concern, but I do think that at this point like every single week, he's going to be somewhere in the top 15 to 16 quarterbacks.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_01]: And if the matchups rock solid, he'll be a QB1, and I think it's the same story for Bryson.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_01]: We don't really need to get too in depth on those guys, like you said,
- 43:57[SPEAKER_01]: Drew Locke, like you broke it down, he needs to be efficient in this offensive environment, and when you have Jackson Smith in Jigba, it's pretty damn easy to be relatively efficient.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_01]: So I'll leave it at that.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's the JSN show against the commanders.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think it will once again be the JSN show even though it is going to be a pretty low-volume-passing game for this y'all.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, with Chuck, like, I think it's kind of what everybody was talking about throughout the season.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_00]: Like, fourth quarter, they're going to run a lot of plays.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_00]: The schedule is wonderful and it's kind of just playing out that way.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_00]: And I remember I tweeted something out like July or August about Chuck's fourth quarter production last year.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_00]: He led the NFL in fourth quarter passing yards by a significant margin and he only started half the year.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_00]: It was like him and Jared Goff and he had like 400 more passing yards.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_00]: Despite playing like ten fewer games or eight fewer games or something like that, it's kind of coming back to fruition, but it's the Raiders It's the Falcons, they get the Giants coming up later, like Caroline is Chicago since he, you know, it's an all-time schedule for the Saints, and you know, we didn't even mention like Jordan Tyson, you know, he'll be back sooner rather than later, like it's only a matter of time and a couple weeks, and then they have
- 45:01[SPEAKER_00]: You know, a million good weapons.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_00]: None of them travel CTN, unfortunately, but a light Tyler shook.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_00]: We like and call him forward.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_00]: And we like all these players on the way of war that we talked about this week.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_00]: Are there any other names that we might have missed on that you wanna just get out on paper so that we can victory lap next week?
- 45:18[SPEAKER_01]: a valet perfectly cromulent flex option if you if you need a start.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think I've heard that word in my entire life.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_00]: What's that mean?
- 45:25[SPEAKER_00]: Just serviceable.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_01]: It's not.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_01]: If I'm not mistaken, it's a made-up word from the Simpsons.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_00]: Wonderful.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to start using that one a little bit more.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_00]: When I started cromulent left, right?
- 45:36[SPEAKER_00]: People are kind of white.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, Kale and Black roll roll scales back in week two to no one surprised.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_01]: We talked about that last week.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_01]: Roll scales back remains a priority handcuff.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_01]: You brought up Emmett Johnson, got to bring him up myself every single week.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_01]: So that there, there are handcuff running backs that remain just owned in two few leagues like guys like Kale and Black guys like Emmett Johnson.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_01]: tank bigs of the world.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_01]: They should be owned in virtually every 10 to 12 team league with a relatively deep bench.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_01]: They are not for some reason.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_01]: So if they're out there, go pick them up.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_01]: But other than that, that's just about everyone that I got to this week.
