- 0:00Speaker 1: This is all most famous Beyond the Bachelor with Susie Evans.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hey, guys, welcome back to be on The Bachelor. This
- 0:08Speaker 2: is your host, Susie Evans. Today I'm going to be
- 0:11Speaker 2: chatting with Lolo. She performed on Nick File's season of
- 0:15Speaker 2: The Bachelor. They were in New Orleans downtown. It was
- 0:18Speaker 2: on Rachel Lindsay's one on one. So we're really excited
- 0:21Speaker 2: to jump right in and ask her all the details.
- 0:25Speaker 3: Hi, Hi, how's it going good? How are you good?
- 0:29Speaker 2: Thank you for hopping on and joining us.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Thanks for having me.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Okay, So you performed your song Shine on Nick Kael's
- 0:37Speaker 2: The Bachelor. What was that experience like for you and
- 0:41Speaker 2: how did it feel to share your music in a
- 0:44Speaker 2: very different way than what you're probably used to.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Well, it was it was an interesting experience all the
- 0:51Speaker 1: way around because the process of what led to me
- 0:56Speaker 1: even being on the episode, it snowballed really quickly on
- 1:00Speaker 1: tour at the time, and we were up in the
- 1:03Speaker 1: in the northwest, the West Coast, which was far from
- 1:06Speaker 1: New Orleans, which is where we filmed. And I have
- 1:10Speaker 1: been an avid Bachelor watcher forever. Me and my mom,
- 1:13Speaker 1: it's like been our thing. All the years that I
- 1:16Speaker 1: lived away from her, it was our thing, where like
- 1:17Speaker 1: we would watch it each week and talk to each
- 1:19Speaker 1: other about it and that kind of thing.
- 1:21Speaker 3: So, and I had just put.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Out a record at the time, which Seane was on,
- 1:26Speaker 1: and I had had my management.
- 1:28Speaker 3: I'd said I would love to be.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Able to take my mom to one of those finale
- 1:32Speaker 1: tapings one day, and like, can you basically just send
- 1:34Speaker 1: my album and spend a note saying, hey, we have
- 1:37Speaker 1: this client who loves The Bachelor and connect show their
- 1:40Speaker 1: mom whatever.
- 1:41Speaker 3: And so a couple of days go by and.
- 1:46Speaker 1: They called and said, we loved this album and we
- 1:49Speaker 1: want to fly her next week to film for nick
- 1:52Speaker 1: viol season.
- 1:53Speaker 3: That's literally what happened, no way.
- 1:56Speaker 1: So I just genuinely, as a fan of the series,
- 2:01Speaker 1: wanted to.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Take my mom to Opinality.
- 2:06Speaker 1: And it snowballed very quickly into this thing. And when
- 2:10Speaker 1: my manager called me, we were in Seattle and he was.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Like, are you sitting down? And I was like, I'm
- 2:14Speaker 3: not sitting down. Should I be sitting down? Like you
- 2:17Speaker 3: might want to sit down?
- 2:18Speaker 1: I was like okay, and he was like, they want
- 2:20Speaker 1: you to fly to New Orleans and film for The
- 2:23Speaker 1: Bachelor next week, and I was like, so and so
- 2:27Speaker 1: that was what happened. We flew to New Orleans from
- 2:30Speaker 1: the Northwest and in the middle of tour, which was crazy,
- 2:35Speaker 1: and it was an awesome.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Experience because everybody.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Behind the scenes in Bachelor World, the production team and
- 2:44Speaker 1: everybody like they everybody was so incredibly nice. And I've
- 2:48Speaker 1: got to imagine, I've never been the contestant, but even
- 2:52Speaker 1: just observing what we observed over the course of that
- 2:55Speaker 1: day filming, things can change so quickly. You know, you're
- 3:00Speaker 1: obviously dealing with real people in real circumstances, real time,
- 3:04Speaker 1: real emotions, real feelings. At the drop of the hat,
- 3:07Speaker 1: somebody can completely change their minds. Somebody can you know,
- 3:11Speaker 1: go through something emotional, you know, whatever is. And so,
- 3:17Speaker 1: as a person who's always watched the show, I loved
- 3:20Speaker 1: being able to see a glimpse behind the scenes in
- 3:22Speaker 1: that way, and everybody production wized was so incredibly nice,
- 3:25Speaker 1: and it was really lovely to be able to share
- 3:28Speaker 1: this song that I've written, which is just genuinely about
- 3:33Speaker 1: finding your own inspiration, being okay with being who you are,
- 3:36Speaker 1: and being willing and comfortable to share that with the world.
- 3:41Speaker 3: It was a wonderful opportunity to be able to share a.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Message like that through songs in that kind of a space.
- 3:48Speaker 3: That's so cool.
- 3:49Speaker 2: So okay, that makes me think I love that you
- 3:52Speaker 2: were a fan beforehand. I'm like, oh, my wheels are
- 3:55Speaker 2: turning now. And so I'm like, Okay, it sounds like
- 3:58Speaker 2: what you saw, because I I don't know if you
- 4:00Speaker 2: still watch it, but I was on the show a
- 4:02Speaker 2: few years ago, and the number one question people ask
- 4:05Speaker 2: me is is it real?
- 4:07Speaker 3: Like is it scripted?
- 4:08Speaker 2: Did they tell you what to say? And so you
- 4:11Speaker 2: being a fan getting to see behind the scenes and
- 4:13Speaker 2: then hearing your perception of it is so it's actually
- 4:16Speaker 2: really cool to hear that you felt like it was very.
- 4:19Speaker 3: I think it's real.
- 4:20Speaker 2: It really is real people in real emotions. So I'm
- 4:23Speaker 2: guessing I was. My one of my questions was going
- 4:25Speaker 2: to be do you feel like you believe more in
- 4:28Speaker 2: reality TV now or less versus after what you see?
- 4:32Speaker 3: What you saw, I guess, yeah, it sounds like you.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Believe in it or it just seemed real to you.
- 4:37Speaker 3: You know.
- 4:38Speaker 1: I think the thing about reality TV is that whether
- 4:45Speaker 1: it's you know, something like The Bachelor or something like
- 4:48Speaker 1: a TV show where you're literally watching people's lives, like
- 4:51Speaker 1: keeping up with the Kardashian.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Whatever it is.
- 4:54Speaker 1: In from the viewer's perspective, I think what can get
- 4:59Speaker 1: hard is that I think, especially like one of the
- 5:03Speaker 1: things I feel as a consumer of the Bachelor franchise,
- 5:07Speaker 1: you hear a lot from especially girls who just go
- 5:10Speaker 1: through difficult things that then air at long after the
- 5:15Speaker 1: fact and they've been edited and all that kind of stuff,
- 5:18Speaker 1: and they have to compress hours and hours and hours
- 5:21Speaker 1: of footage and content into one hour each week. Like
- 5:26Speaker 1: that's a challenge in and of itself, and so of
- 5:29Speaker 1: course all of these little moments I think that can
- 5:35Speaker 1: or would help the viewer understand the realness of it
- 5:41Speaker 1: a lot more. That gets edited out a lot of
- 5:44Speaker 1: the time because they have to make choices of Okay,
- 5:47Speaker 1: well we can only keep this amount for this episode
- 5:50Speaker 1: because we've got to get from this plot line to
- 5:53Speaker 1: this plot line.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Whatever that is. And so all of those like the blooper.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Moment it happens yeah at the women tell all or
- 6:03Speaker 1: the men tell or.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Whatever that is. They those kinds of moments. I think if.
- 6:08Speaker 1: That was included more often throughout the whole each each season.
- 6:16Speaker 3: I think I would in theory help the consumer, yeah,
- 6:20Speaker 3: just to.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Kind of be like, okay, yeah this, these are here
- 6:23Speaker 1: of these real moments. But again, it's like it's hard
- 6:26Speaker 1: for production I think probably to have to make those
- 6:28Speaker 1: decisions otherwise it would turn into.
- 6:31Speaker 3: A totally different show. Probably.
- 6:34Speaker 2: I am with you completely on that and obviously on
- 6:37Speaker 2: this podcast, so often we're like singing the praise of
- 6:39Speaker 2: the show because we're like it, you know, it did
- 6:42Speaker 2: this for my career. It was the most fun experience,
- 6:45Speaker 2: or my wife was a fan, or like people say
- 6:47Speaker 2: that most cool things and.
- 6:49Speaker 3: It's such a positive thing.
- 6:50Speaker 2: But this is one thing where I'm like, Bachelor producers,
- 6:53Speaker 2: if you're listening, like take this. This is a consumer
- 6:57Speaker 2: of the show who was on the show witness thing
- 7:00Speaker 2: and like has really good feedback. Because that's always been
- 7:03Speaker 2: one of my things too where I'm like, I feel
- 7:05Speaker 2: like there's sometimes an agenda and I totally get it.
- 7:09Speaker 2: It's a produced show, so there has to be storylines,
- 7:11Speaker 2: there have to be things that move the storylines along,
- 7:14Speaker 2: and so things get cut. But it was so wild
- 7:17Speaker 2: watching back the season I was on and being like
- 7:20Speaker 2: wait a second, Like there's so many personalities amongst the
- 7:24Speaker 2: women that were just not highlighted, but they were such
- 7:27Speaker 2: a big part of my experience in the house, and
- 7:31Speaker 2: it gives you like empathy for them because when I
- 7:33Speaker 2: was seeing things happen in real time and then you
- 7:37Speaker 2: knew the whole context context, and you have like, you know,
- 7:40Speaker 2: empathy for that person. And then as a viewer, you
- 7:42Speaker 2: see a villain and you're like, oh, they're the worst
- 7:44Speaker 2: person in the world. But really, you know, everyone's a
- 7:48Speaker 2: bit of a villain, you know, like everyone's got like
- 7:50Speaker 2: has their moments of weakness or whatever. That's really interesting
- 7:55Speaker 2: that I think if the producers ever listen to this,
- 7:57Speaker 2: then that's a really good tidbit of just like, you know,
- 8:00Speaker 2: let more stuff stay in, like the real real stuff.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Well, I also wonder, you know, I also just wonder.
- 8:08Speaker 1: I can't even imagine what your experience for anyone who's
- 8:11Speaker 1: got to really put themselves out there to be on
- 8:13Speaker 1: the show, what the experience is like, just even from
- 8:17Speaker 1: what I observed in my short time filming, the.
- 8:22Speaker 3: Feeling like for me, I knew exactly what they were going.
- 8:26Speaker 1: To show, because you know, we knew, we knew what
- 8:29Speaker 1: we were playing, We knew going into it that they
- 8:32Speaker 1: were going to use three songs total. They were going
- 8:35Speaker 1: to use a performance of my song Shine, and then
- 8:38Speaker 1: you know, because that was you know, we had to.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Agree upon all these things beforehand. Also, there's like music
- 8:44Speaker 3: licenses and clearances and all these kinds of things that
- 8:46Speaker 3: have to go into place, so there can't be any
- 8:48Speaker 3: surprises there. So we knew.
- 8:52Speaker 1: This was the song they were going to use for
- 8:54Speaker 1: the majority of the time that we were going to film,
- 8:55Speaker 1: that we were also going to do one other song
- 8:57Speaker 1: for extra pickup things that they needed, and then one
- 9:00Speaker 1: other selection to be played in backgrounds moments throughout the episode.
- 9:04Speaker 1: We knew that going in. So because I had parameters,
- 9:10Speaker 1: I knew exactly what to expect. I didn't maybe know
- 9:12Speaker 1: exactly what the camera angle was going to be, but
- 9:14Speaker 1: I knew, you know, what was going to go on.
- 9:17Speaker 3: Versus being.
- 9:21Speaker 1: On the show for you know, the length of time
- 9:24Speaker 1: that you all are there and you are not in
- 9:27Speaker 1: the editing room you are and also there's all these
- 9:31Speaker 1: you know, behind the scenes moments where people are having
- 9:33Speaker 1: their sort of confessional things, all of these moments where
- 9:36Speaker 1: you are really.
- 9:39Speaker 3: Not involved in a good and also not in control
- 9:44Speaker 3: of what others are doing.
- 9:46Speaker 1: You're there having to exist as peacefully.
- 9:50Speaker 3: As you can with all a similar objective.
- 9:55Speaker 1: It's got to be a pretty surreal experience in that way,
- 9:58Speaker 1: knowing you can't control you know, your aspects of being
- 10:03Speaker 1: on the show.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Yeah, definitely a wild ride.
- 10:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:19Speaker 2: And to your point of how things can change so quickly,
- 10:21Speaker 2: did you feel like when you were there, did you
- 10:24Speaker 2: think the chemistry between Nick and Rachel, like, did you
- 10:28Speaker 2: think she was going to go all the way? Or
- 10:31Speaker 2: and also did you get to see other women, Like
- 10:32Speaker 2: did you see him interact with any other women or
- 10:34Speaker 2: was it just the two of them on that date?
- 10:36Speaker 1: I just saw the two of them on that date,
- 10:39Speaker 1: and it was really funny because.
- 10:42Speaker 3: I remember thinking.
- 10:47Speaker 1: That the main the main because also the like I
- 10:52Speaker 1: there was a period of time where because we have
- 10:56Speaker 1: brought in you know, earlier in the day, even before
- 10:59Speaker 1: they were there, we had to set up all of
- 11:00Speaker 1: our gear, we had to sound check, we had to
- 11:02Speaker 1: do you know, various things before anybody else showed up.
- 11:07Speaker 1: And then they started bringing in all of the extra
- 11:10Speaker 1: sort of bar patron kind of people that they were
- 11:13Speaker 1: bringing in for filming.
- 11:14Speaker 3: Yeah, and then when they when.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Nick arrived independently first, and he was there with us
- 11:26Speaker 1: for a little while, and then Rachel arrived, And what
- 11:36Speaker 1: I remember thinking about their interaction was that they seemed
- 11:44Speaker 1: very comfortable with each other. They didn't seem like you
- 11:50Speaker 1: know how sometimes you can see new people who are
- 11:52Speaker 1: newer in a relationship and their.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Energy still feels like they're still trying to figure out
- 11:58Speaker 3: what their dynamic is. All they like each other, but
- 12:02Speaker 3: they're still trying to figure out.
- 12:04Speaker 1: You know, they were not They weren't all over each other,
- 12:07Speaker 1: but they were two people that, you know, you could
- 12:10Speaker 1: tell they really just very much clicked.
- 12:14Speaker 3: And I don't know whether I was struck with the
- 12:17Speaker 3: fact that I thought she was gonna go all the
- 12:19Speaker 3: way or not.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Yeah, but I do remember somehow she had I don't
- 12:27Speaker 1: know honestly because it's been a while.
- 12:31Speaker 3: But.
- 12:33Speaker 1: She had somehow found out from the producers who was
- 12:38Speaker 1: going to be playing.
- 12:39Speaker 3: She know it was gonna be me, basically.
- 12:42Speaker 1: And so she had found my album and she had
- 12:47Speaker 1: been listening to it, and there were a couple other
- 12:50Speaker 1: songs on the album, and so when I had talked
- 12:53Speaker 1: with her, she was like talking to me about my music,
- 12:57Speaker 1: and for a good chunk of time after the episodes air,
- 13:02Speaker 1: especially after Day aired on TV and everything, and you know,
- 13:06Speaker 1: she would reach out to me.
- 13:07Speaker 3: From time to time being like, I'm listening to this song.
- 13:09Speaker 3: It's making me so happy, you know, Like she had
- 13:12Speaker 3: a we had.
- 13:13Speaker 1: A genuine interaction about my own music, which I was
- 13:16Speaker 1: really surprised by. That was one of those things that
- 13:19Speaker 1: I was It was very flattering and very very cool
- 13:24Speaker 1: of her to go out of her way to like
- 13:26Speaker 1: do her research in that sense.
- 13:28Speaker 3: She was like, I wanted to know.
- 13:29Speaker 1: She was like, I didn't want to just be I
- 13:31Speaker 1: didn't want to be caught off guard.
- 13:33Speaker 3: I wanted to know.
- 13:33Speaker 1: What I was going to be listening to, because I
- 13:36Speaker 1: guess that they had she had found out or they
- 13:38Speaker 1: told them that live music was going to be some
- 13:41Speaker 1: kind of part of the date, and so she was like, well,
- 13:44Speaker 1: who's coming.
- 13:45Speaker 3: I want to know.
- 13:45Speaker 1: I want to know what the music is. And so
- 13:46Speaker 1: they had cheered it with her, and I thought that
- 13:48Speaker 1: was really cool.
- 13:50Speaker 3: That's really Nick was Nick.
- 13:52Speaker 1: I remember Nick and my guitarist Josh having a really
- 13:54Speaker 1: funny conversation where.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Josh is.
- 14:00Speaker 1: He's just he's hilariously funny anyway, and He loves to
- 14:06Speaker 1: just make light of every situation, and I think especially
- 14:10Speaker 1: like in a.
- 14:11Speaker 3: Situation where you're just now getting to know.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Literally meeting someone in an environment where like, Okay, here
- 14:15Speaker 1: we are with all these cameras on us, and now
- 14:16Speaker 1: we're gonna play.
- 14:18Speaker 3: There's a song, and wish you the best on your relationship.
- 14:21Speaker 1: You know.
- 14:21Speaker 3: It's kind of a really funny dynamic of how to
- 14:23Speaker 3: meet somebody.
- 14:24Speaker 1: And so he was like, you know, asking him a
- 14:29Speaker 1: typical question of like, do you ever get tired.
- 14:31Speaker 3: Of all those girls throwing themselves at you? That's funny.
- 14:36Speaker 1: I don't really remember what nixed response was, but I
- 14:39Speaker 1: remember Josh asking him that question and Nick kind of
- 14:42Speaker 1: like looking at him, like, I can't really answer this
- 14:44Speaker 1: right now.
- 14:48Speaker 3: That is so funny.
- 14:49Speaker 2: I feel like those are two really good, like behind
- 14:52Speaker 2: the scenes examples of I mean, I've always known Nick
- 14:55Speaker 2: to be quite funny and like like cheeky and charming
- 14:59Speaker 2: and just like has that kind of like lightness about him.
- 15:02Speaker 2: And I don't know Rachel that well. I don't know
- 15:05Speaker 2: either of them that well, but I don't know Rachel
- 15:07Speaker 2: as well, but I've met her and I've heard things
- 15:09Speaker 2: about her, and I feel like what you just describe
- 15:12Speaker 2: sounds a lot like who she is, you know what
- 15:14Speaker 2: I mean, like really cares and like takes a particular
- 15:18Speaker 2: interest and wants to do her due diligence, and obviously
- 15:21Speaker 2: with her career has been so successful and so amazing.
- 15:24Speaker 2: So it's like it's just it feels very on brand
- 15:27Speaker 2: for her to have like cared enough to want to
- 15:30Speaker 2: listen beforehand, and then even like following up and like
- 15:33Speaker 2: making you know, texting you at a later time and
- 15:36Speaker 2: being like, oh, I'm listening to this song. Like that
- 15:37Speaker 2: just feels so genuine and sweet.
- 15:39Speaker 3: I love that it was. It was it was very genuine.
- 15:44Speaker 1: I mean, obviously I spent a day with her filming,
- 15:47Speaker 1: but you know it was interesting especially once everything aired
- 15:52Speaker 1: and we saw what the what the rollout of events
- 15:56Speaker 1: were in that season, and then all also just watching
- 16:01Speaker 1: Rachel's trajectory from kind of jump point start and then
- 16:07Speaker 1: everything she's you know, been through since.
- 16:10Speaker 3: She's I think she's I remember.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Thinking, even in that day I spent with her, she
- 16:16Speaker 1: seemed like a very grounded person. She seemed very just
- 16:22Speaker 1: that you know, she just seems to know what her
- 16:26Speaker 1: purpose is and she that's what she follows, and.
- 16:29Speaker 3: Wow, that's very cool.
- 16:31Speaker 2: So after the show aired and your music was shared,
- 16:36Speaker 2: I don't know if it would be shared with a
- 16:37Speaker 2: different audience or maybe like a I don't know if
- 16:41Speaker 2: The Bachelor shared it with a larger audience. Did you
- 16:43Speaker 2: have any kind of like pivotal things that came from
- 16:48Speaker 2: or came into your career after being on the show,
- 16:50Speaker 2: Like did it jumpstart anything or did it open you
- 16:53Speaker 2: up to a broader demographic of people?
- 16:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that it definitely brought several opportunities, a
- 17:01Speaker 1: couple of really interesting touring opportunities and other like feature opportunities,
- 17:08Speaker 1: and then also interesting just kind of seeing the difference
- 17:15Speaker 1: in the demographic because at that point I was like,
- 17:21Speaker 1: you know, really playing to like an alt rock crowd,
- 17:25Speaker 1: which is not that people who listen to alt rock
- 17:29Speaker 1: do not listen, do not watch The Bachelor. I think
- 17:33Speaker 1: that there are lots more people that watch The Bachelor
- 17:37Speaker 1: that cross pollinate in too many different types of music.
- 17:42Speaker 3: But I was really surprised with.
- 17:46Speaker 5: The the out the level of the outreach in general,
- 17:51Speaker 5: So like for the whole next ten days after The Bachelor,
- 17:57Speaker 5: something as what seems maybe very insignificant to others that would.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Be very significant to artists, especially as you're kind of
- 18:05Speaker 1: just putting a new record out and those kinds of things.
- 18:09Speaker 1: It's like on iTunes, when you would pull up iTunes
- 18:13Speaker 1: if you were searching something like my name.
- 18:15Speaker 3: Lolo was like at the top of the daily searches
- 18:18Speaker 3: for ten whole days, and like that's.
- 18:22Speaker 1: Really that's a big moment where you get to see
- 18:27Speaker 1: the immediate turnaround of just the power of the outreach
- 18:33Speaker 1: and the I mean maybe in some ways also like
- 18:38Speaker 1: the power of how a show can be put together
- 18:43Speaker 1: so that a song, like if they're choosing to feature
- 18:46Speaker 1: a live artist, it's like myself or anyone else they
- 18:52Speaker 1: feature on the show, they capture it and they also
- 18:56Speaker 1: place it within the course of the episode in a
- 18:59Speaker 1: way where it leaves a really big impact on people
- 19:03Speaker 1: enough so that then you want to turn around and immediately.
- 19:08Speaker 3: Like search for the thing that you've heard.
- 19:12Speaker 1: And that is really powerful, you know, because I think
- 19:18Speaker 1: especially now in the way that artists in general are
- 19:24Speaker 1: trying to figure out way always try to figure out
- 19:28Speaker 1: new ways to reach their audience, and you know, social
- 19:32Speaker 1: media has given us obviously huge ability to reach so
- 19:39Speaker 1: many more people than we ever could in the past.
- 19:41Speaker 3: But there's something about.
- 19:44Speaker 1: You know, millions of people watching you on TV at
- 19:48Speaker 1: the same time that you know it leaves an enormous impact.
- 19:53Speaker 3: And it was exciting to be able.
- 19:56Speaker 1: To see how my song being featured in a special
- 20:04Speaker 1: moment in that show not only could reach so many people,
- 20:07Speaker 1: but then there were other waves in which that song
- 20:11Speaker 1: was able to receive attention and be featured in other
- 20:15Speaker 1: spaces in other movies, TV opportunities like synk licensing, all
- 20:22Speaker 1: the touring, all the things that happened.
- 20:24Speaker 3: I was. I ended up being on Rachel Ray as
- 20:29Speaker 3: a part of that and doing.
- 20:30Speaker 1: A bunch of stuff with her down at south By
- 20:32Speaker 1: Southwest on the back end of all of that, which
- 20:36Speaker 1: was really really cool, and it happened like very organically
- 20:41Speaker 1: out of the ship, out of the song being featured
- 20:43Speaker 1: on the show, and then of course you know of
- 20:46Speaker 1: action that happened after that, and then also the for
- 20:50Speaker 1: that season they continued to use Shine and two of
- 20:56Speaker 1: my other songs like throughout the rest of the scene
- 21:00Speaker 1: in as soundscapes and thong scapes, and so I was
- 21:05Speaker 1: and I think I'm assuming because the music was well received,
- 21:11Speaker 1: but that's that's the best case scenario, you know what
- 21:17Speaker 1: I mean. Obviously, I'm the kind of person where I
- 21:20Speaker 1: go into everything I do and I hope for the best.
- 21:23Speaker 1: I don't assume it's all going to be a giant nightmare.
- 21:25Speaker 1: I assume, Okay, we're gonna do everything we can do
- 21:28Speaker 1: and make it everything we can make it. But you
- 21:30Speaker 1: never really know what's going to happen. So to see
- 21:34Speaker 1: the response that we got and then to have the
- 21:38Speaker 1: ripple effects that happened, it was really awesome.
- 21:41Speaker 3: Yeah, so awesome.
- 21:43Speaker 6: Yeah, Okay, before we wrap up, I want to ask
- 21:55Speaker 6: when you have on the horizon currently where can you
- 21:59Speaker 6: find you What are some cool projects you are working
- 22:03Speaker 6: on or planning.
- 22:04Speaker 2: In the near future.
- 22:07Speaker 1: So the thing I'm always working on is raising my toddler.
- 22:12Speaker 3: At a three year old boy, and he is awesome.
- 22:14Speaker 1: And so in amongst everything I do, I have my
- 22:19Speaker 1: silly little boy that goes with me and does everything
- 22:21Speaker 1: with me, and that's been wonderful.
- 22:23Speaker 3: That's cool.
- 22:25Speaker 1: And so this year particularly has been a big year
- 22:29Speaker 1: of creating things so that next year this is the
- 22:33Speaker 1: like input year, so that next year can be the
- 22:35Speaker 1: output year kind of thing. So, and I'm working on
- 22:39Speaker 1: a couple of different things that are a little like
- 22:43Speaker 1: all each in their own little corner. But I'm making
- 22:45Speaker 1: a new album. I'm in the process of writing and
- 22:50Speaker 1: recording all of that, and I'm hoping to be done.
- 22:53Speaker 3: With all of the recording by October.
- 22:57Speaker 1: And I am working on an independent musical film.
- 23:05Speaker 3: It's a it's also a Western.
- 23:08Speaker 1: It's basically like Oklahoma the Musical meets Killed Bill.
- 23:14Speaker 3: Sounds awesome.
- 23:16Speaker 1: It's a really incredible script and everything it's being created,
- 23:21Speaker 1: including the music and getting the cast together, all those
- 23:24Speaker 1: kinds of things so that next year we can go
- 23:26Speaker 1: film the project next summer. And that project is called
- 23:30Speaker 1: My Father's Daughter, And it's been really it's been a
- 23:34Speaker 1: really interesting project to work on because you follow this
- 23:40Speaker 1: girl who it's set in old Western time. You follow
- 23:44Speaker 1: this girl who she loses her family due to you know,
- 23:49Speaker 1: like a gang kind of trying to take over her
- 23:51Speaker 1: family's farm, and then you follow her as she basically
- 23:56Speaker 1: seeks revenge for her family. But the the way that
- 24:00Speaker 1: the story is written, you stay so in her corner
- 24:05Speaker 1: and you so want to see her succeed. But the
- 24:07Speaker 1: way that the story weaves and there's all these surprises
- 24:11Speaker 1: that happen, and it's been really it's been a really
- 24:13Speaker 1: interesting and totally different like of all the songwriting I've
- 24:17Speaker 1: ever done or any kind of projects I've ever worked on.
- 24:19Speaker 1: It's been something completely different than I've ever done in
- 24:24Speaker 1: the past. And so.
- 24:26Speaker 3: The story itself and the project itself is really fun
- 24:28Speaker 3: to work on.
- 24:29Speaker 1: But it's been really fun to do something that's just
- 24:31Speaker 1: completely different than anything I've tried in the past. And
- 24:34Speaker 1: then I'm also developing a little kids show, so it'll
- 24:39Speaker 1: be like a song and storytime kind of thing that
- 24:42Speaker 1: I'm working on with one of my longtime friends and collaborators.
- 24:45Speaker 1: And so that's the thing that we're developing. And again
- 24:49Speaker 1: that's been a brand new situation because it's going to
- 24:51Speaker 1: be an animated project. So I've never worked on something
- 24:55Speaker 1: where we like work with an animator. That's been a
- 24:59Speaker 1: really wild process, totally new. But all three things that
- 25:05Speaker 1: have been amazing to work on this year, and and
- 25:08Speaker 1: we'll all start to see the light of day starting
- 25:12Speaker 1: kind of at the beginning of next year. But I'm
- 25:17Speaker 1: gonna have a couple of little singles that'll be coming
- 25:19Speaker 1: out in the fall.
- 25:20Speaker 3: Its music videos and some other stuff like that.
- 25:23Speaker 1: So everything for me can be found at lolo music
- 25:28Speaker 1: dot com and then if you follow me on socials,
- 25:30Speaker 1: it's all at Lolo Music amazing.
- 25:33Speaker 3: Yeah, thank you for having me.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Yes, absolutely, it was a pleasure getting to get the scoop.
- 25:40Speaker 2: I feel like I learned more about that season the
- 25:42Speaker 2: Bachelor and I love that. Thank you guys for listening
- 25:45Speaker 2: to be on the Bachelor. We'll see you next time.
