Transcript
- 0:10Speaker 2: Well, hey, everybody. Welcome to Conspiracy, the show.
- 0:36Speaker 1: I'm your host, Adam Todd Brown. Joining me as co-host
- 0:38Speaker 1: this week, Connor's back. How's it going, man?
- 0:41Speaker 2: I'm having a migraine beamed into my head by some
- 0:44Speaker 2: sort of electricity gun.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Oh, that's me. I bought it on Timu. Is it working?
- 0:49Speaker 2: You're giving me Timu fucking Havana syndrome, Adam?
- 0:53Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 0:54Speaker 2: After 10 years?
- 0:56Speaker 1: We're back to talking about Jesse Ventura.
- 0:59Speaker 2: The patron saint of this podcast.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:01Speaker 2: We light a candle for Jesse before every recording.
- 1:04Speaker 1: He's one of the real ones. All that said, these
- 1:06Speaker 1: two episodes kind of make me understand why this show
- 1:10Speaker 1: ran its, course, because we mentioned before that he didn't
- 1:14Speaker 1: really tackle historical stuff on this show, which might have helped.
- 1:19Speaker 1: He tried to do more current events happening now. This
- 1:23Speaker 1: is what's happening now that you don't know about. You're
- 1:25Speaker 1: only going to get so much mileage out of that
- 1:28Speaker 1: premise before you hit a wall. And I feel like
- 1:30Speaker 1: with these two episodes, they hit a wall. We're making
- 1:33Speaker 1: some pretty big assumptions and leaps in logic on both
- 1:38Speaker 1: of these episodes.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Well, and you get to a point where you're like,
- 1:41Speaker 2: why can't you do the Philadelphia experiment, Jesse? I mean,
- 1:44Speaker 2: it's interesting. You know, some of those people are probably
- 1:47Speaker 2: still alive or people that knew them are still alive.
- 1:49Speaker 1: You know, now that I say it out loud, it's
- 1:51Speaker 1: going to fucking happen. And I'm going to be pissed
- 1:53Speaker 1: that I'm not the one who approached someone about it.
- 1:55Speaker 1: If anyone is primed for one of those history's greatest
- 2:01Speaker 1: mysteries type history channel shows, Because now they got one
- 2:05Speaker 1: with Dan Aykroyd. They got one with William Shatner. They
- 2:09Speaker 1: got the OG History's Greatest Mysteries with Lawrence Fishburne, which plug, plug, plug.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Someone on this show was on the season three finale
- 2:18Speaker 1: of History's Greatest Mysteries. That's your boy here. Jesse Ventura
- 2:22Speaker 1: would be perfect for that type of show about historical
- 2:26Speaker 1: conspiracy theories. Like, ideal for it.
- 2:30Speaker 2: He has this way of making everything exciting through his
- 2:33Speaker 2: maximalist way of talking. Like, everything that he says, he
- 2:37Speaker 2: moves his mouth in the most extreme possible coordination of forms. Like,
- 2:44Speaker 2: Everything it's that's what I figured out is how Jesse
- 2:47Speaker 2: speaks is like he's absolutely using every bit of negative
- 2:51Speaker 2: space in his vocal cavity to speak.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Yeah the annunciator would have been another great nickname for
- 2:59Speaker 1: yeah he nails every fucking syllable in every word.
- 3:03Speaker 2: He always sounds like he's talking to someone else that
- 3:05Speaker 2: doesn't speak english but he's trying no valet my car.
- 3:10Speaker 1: I think on these episodes he kind of hits the
- 3:13Speaker 1: ripped from the headlines wall little bit and we're making
- 3:17Speaker 1: some pretty wild leaps here we're covering season three episode
- 3:22Speaker 1: six and episode seven this is the penultimate and ultimate
- 3:26Speaker 1: episodes of.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Conspiracy theory with jesse ventura guest appearance from adam's word
- 3:32Speaker 2: of the day calendar.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Goddamn right this first one the manimal conspiracy.
- 3:37Speaker 2: I loved this is still old school TV. So they,
- 3:40Speaker 2: I love that they kept in the coming up bumpers,
- 3:42Speaker 2: which sort of half spoiled, half tease, half mislead you
- 3:46Speaker 2: about the next act of the show. So I, throughout
- 3:48Speaker 2: the course of this episode, I've written down some teaser phrases.
- 3:51Speaker 2: I'm going to read them in the voice of the
- 3:53Speaker 2: character that said them. I'm going to attempt to, uh,
- 3:55Speaker 2: Give you a little teaser of this episode. He refused
- 3:58Speaker 2: to answer my questions, making him part human, part chicken.
- 4:02Speaker 2: I coined the term humanzy. And then we got cannibalism.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Frankenstein territory. You're photographing us. I'm photographing you. How far
- 4:13Speaker 2: can I legally go here? I don't want to die.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Do you? Yeah, there's some lines in this episode, and
- 4:20Speaker 1: that's kind of one of the problems. It's all lines.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like they got the best pull quote from
- 4:26Speaker 2: every shot and then just was like, fuck it. Like, yeah,
- 4:29Speaker 2: I would say Frankenstein. And then we'll you know, we'll
- 4:31Speaker 2: go to the part where they go to the tower.
- 4:33Speaker 1: I feel like with both of these episodes, you get
- 4:35Speaker 1: a lot of different people saying the same thing over
- 4:39Speaker 1: and over and over again. And in this one, it's hey, man,
- 4:43Speaker 1: scientists are trying to impregnate female chimpanzees with human sperm.
- 4:49Speaker 1: You hear that from about five different people in this.
- 4:52Speaker 1: That's certainly weird.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Well, the weirdest part is that they're trying to do
- 4:56Speaker 2: it the old fashioned way.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Which is that's how you get AIDS too. Yeah.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Which you know isn't going to be as good and
- 5:04Speaker 1: you're just going to have to roll it back and
- 5:06Speaker 1: reintroduce classic AIDS later. Classic marketing flop every time. Yeah.
- 5:12Speaker 2: It's like, wow, these The T cells are barely even
- 5:14Speaker 2: noticing it.
- 5:15Speaker 1: So this episode starts with Jesse interviewing a guy named
- 5:19Speaker 1: Chris DeRose, an animal cruelty investigator who Jesse just needlessly
- 5:25Speaker 1: throws shade at right away.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Jesse gets in like junkyard dog mode too often where
- 5:30Speaker 2: he's like, tell me what you know.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Well, not just that. Even when he's introducing this guy,
- 5:35Speaker 1: he talks about how he's an industry watchdog for animal cruelty.
- 5:40Speaker 1: And how he's considered kind of a tough guy in
- 5:44Speaker 1: the industry. And then they cut to him walking up
- 5:47Speaker 1: and Jesse's like, but he doesn't look like a tough
- 5:50Speaker 1: guy to me. He looks like he's just seen a ghost.
- 5:53Speaker 1: It's like, well, not all of us are former professional wrestlers, governor.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:58Speaker 1: We weren't all in the predator.
- 5:59Speaker 2: We're not all nicknamed the body.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. I bet this guy would scare me if
- 6:04Speaker 1: I was doing weird animal abuse and he showed up
- 6:07Speaker 1: at my door.
- 6:08Speaker 2: This is completely unrelated, but I want my nickname to
- 6:10Speaker 2: be Connor the Body McSpadden, but it's B-A-W-D-Y in the
- 6:15Speaker 2: sort of Shakespearean humor kind of a sense. And then
- 6:18Speaker 2: I'll have to get really fat to kind of like
- 6:19Speaker 2: double the joke.
- 6:20Speaker 1: And I mean, who doesn't want to do that?
- 6:23Speaker 2: I'm doing it right now. It's awesome.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Yeah. You can do it for a lot of years
- 6:26Speaker 1: before you like lose a toe and shit. Take it
- 6:29Speaker 1: from me. Yeah. You got a couple good decades of
- 6:31Speaker 1: living it up. So Chris DeRose, he's here to talk
- 6:35Speaker 1: about chimeras.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Oh, that was another thing that killed me. Chimeras.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Yes, those come up a lot. Human animal hybrids. This
- 6:44Speaker 1: is a quote from Krista Rose. Jesse, they've created pigs
- 6:47Speaker 1: that got human blood flowing through their bodies. Mice with
- 6:51Speaker 1: human brains, which that I'm just picturing a tiny mouse
- 6:55Speaker 1: body with a giant fucking human brain attack. How is
- 6:58Speaker 1: that thing even moving around?
- 7:00Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, I went straight to pinking the brain.
- 7:02Speaker 2: I wasn't even that intellectual with it.
- 7:04Speaker 1: But I mean, it's the same concept. It's still tiny body,
- 7:07Speaker 1: huge fucking brain, you know?
- 7:09Speaker 2: Would look pretty scary. Like could be a could be
- 7:11Speaker 2: a nice third string Marvel villain for like a slow
- 7:14Speaker 2: week of the Fantastic Four, like Super Mouse, the mouse
- 7:17Speaker 2: with the intelligence of a man.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Or even if it just has like the size of
- 7:21Speaker 1: a baby brain, you let 100 of those loose in
- 7:24Speaker 1: a room, you're going to sketch people out for sure.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Because you're not going to want to stomp on it.
- 7:28Speaker 1: It's got that big ass brain.
- 7:29Speaker 2: It's going to know it's No, this is the supervillain.
- 7:32Speaker 2: It's the mouse man who has a legion of semi-intelligent
- 7:34Speaker 2: mice that are like smart as like maybe twice as
- 7:37Speaker 2: smart as a dog or something like that with their
- 7:40Speaker 2: baby brains.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Who is this guy? The U.S. government creating hybrid animal armies?
- 7:45Speaker 1: That's what this episode's about, by the way. It eventually
- 7:48Speaker 1: makes its way to Planet of the Apes is coming,
- 7:52Speaker 1: which I don't know. If so, I feel like AI
- 7:55Speaker 1: will defeat the apes and then AI will take over.
- 7:58Speaker 2: AI will be like, haha, I've used all the potable water.
- 8:01Speaker 2: So enjoy studying the fuck out of aqueducts, chimps, or
- 8:06Speaker 2: else you're going to die.
- 8:07Speaker 1: That's how AI will save us from the hybrid chimps.
- 8:11Speaker 1: It will destroy all the water and be like, problem solved, humans.
- 8:15Speaker 2: We'll be safely in our matrix pods.
- 8:18Speaker 1: So... Jesse hears about this after this quote about pigs
- 8:23Speaker 1: got human blood flowing through their bodies. Jesse's like, I
- 8:26Speaker 1: heard about these experiments in Shanghai 10 years ago. He's like,
- 8:30Speaker 1: what if they're just doing it to like make human
- 8:32Speaker 1: organs and things, which is a question that comes up
- 8:35Speaker 1: a lot in this, not enough, not directed at anyone
- 8:37Speaker 1: qualified to answer the question.
- 8:40Speaker 2: And also just, you know, off the dribble, first take
- 8:43Speaker 2: still seems pretty kind of fucked up to me to
- 8:45Speaker 2: just have a pig with a, you know, human kidney
- 8:48Speaker 2: and just like, you know.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Yeah, but also we eat pigs. So is it that crazy?
- 8:55Speaker 2: I guess not. You know, I guess you hope you
- 8:57Speaker 2: properly sedate the pig before you remove the, or do
- 9:00Speaker 2: you just have both of his organs be human? Does
- 9:02Speaker 2: it have a full set of pig organs and then
- 9:04Speaker 2: separately growing in its bodily cavities? There's like a liver,
- 9:08Speaker 2: like just chilling.
- 9:09Speaker 1: I don't think so.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Okay.
- 9:11Speaker 1: I mean, that would be cool.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:12Speaker 1: If you could just grow a human liver in there,
- 9:15Speaker 1: but leave the pig intact.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Yeah, like use the pig as like farmland for like
- 9:20Speaker 2: the lung.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Yeah, then it's just like a chicken, but it's laying
- 9:24Speaker 1: human organs instead of eggs.
- 9:27Speaker 2: I don't know why I got became a vegan as
- 9:29Speaker 2: soon as the idea was organs instead of just eating
- 9:32Speaker 2: the motherfucker.
- 9:32Speaker 1: And that actually comes up you wouldn't want to eat
- 9:35Speaker 1: a pig that was partially produced with human parts i guess.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Yeah i think there's i think the part where they're
- 9:42Speaker 2: accusing uh that we're all this we're eating pigs with
- 9:46Speaker 2: human dna talk i think is quite is quite ginned
- 9:49Speaker 2: up for the drama Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's one
- 9:51Speaker 2: of those B-plot lines they send Sean Penn. No, is
- 9:54Speaker 2: it Sean? Whose son is it?
- 9:56Speaker 1: I just call him Young Stone.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Yeah, Oliver Stone. Yeah, Oliver Stone's kid. and Jesse's kid.
- 10:00Speaker 2: That's when they send the B team out there to
- 10:02Speaker 2: go scream impotently into the woods. What are you doing
- 10:05Speaker 2: in there with the pigs or whatever?
- 10:07Speaker 1: We get a classic line from this episode. You hear
- 10:12Speaker 1: this in so many episodes of Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura. Well,
- 10:17Speaker 1: if this is a conspiracy, why are they doing this?
- 10:19Speaker 1: The answer, power and control.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 10:22Speaker 1: At no point are they ever like, go on. They're
- 10:24Speaker 1: just like, power and control.
- 10:27Speaker 2: The organ market?
- 10:28Speaker 1: Yeah, that is usually enough to just send Jesse off
- 10:31Speaker 1: running back to the team. There is a weird moment
- 10:35Speaker 1: where he's talking to this Krista Rose guy on a
- 10:38Speaker 1: bridge and in the middle of who knows where, while
- 10:41Speaker 1: they're talking, someone rides by on a motorcycle, shouts out
- 10:45Speaker 1: Chris DeRose's name and says, I got eyes on you,
- 10:48Speaker 1: and just keeps driving. That could have been a staged moment.
- 10:51Speaker 1: If not, it's pretty weird.
- 10:53Speaker 2: It's kind of a weird thing to stage. It's one
- 10:55Speaker 2: of those things that's so unbelievable. If someone suggested it,
- 10:57Speaker 2: I'd be like, come on.
- 10:59Speaker 1: I'd be like, no one would believe that actually happened.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Which makes you think it happened. So it might actually
- 11:04Speaker 2: be a really good lie.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Yeah, who knows? But it's a fun moment. in the show.
- 11:10Speaker 1: It's a little bit of the TV magic. So now
- 11:12Speaker 1: it's round table time. Jesse is like, listen, what I'm
- 11:16Speaker 1: telling you is they're crossbreeding humans and animals. I don't
- 11:19Speaker 1: see that as being a very good idea. And weirdly,
- 11:21Speaker 1: it's June Sarpong who really breaks out the jump to conclusions, Matt, first.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Because the fucking skeptic in the glasses whose name I
- 11:30Speaker 1: don't remember, it's like Andy or some shit. He brings
- 11:32Speaker 1: up the human organs thing. He's like, what if they're
- 11:35Speaker 1: just trying to develop organs for human transplants? And June Sarpong,
- 11:40Speaker 1: just like the fucking meme, it's everyone, nothing. June Sarpong,
- 11:46Speaker 1: this sounds like a conspiracy between our scientists and the
- 11:49Speaker 1: elite to create a whole new human animal race that
- 11:51Speaker 1: can take over our planet. Where did you get that from, lady?
- 11:56Speaker 2: A to Z.
- 11:59Speaker 1: But that's where we leave it. At the roundtable, now
- 12:01Speaker 1: we're on to a conspiracy among the elites to create
- 12:05Speaker 1: a whole race that can enslave us, but then don't
- 12:07Speaker 1: they have to still... Wouldn't it just be easier to
- 12:10Speaker 1: enslave us than create a whole other race that you
- 12:13Speaker 1: also have to enslave to then enslave us?
- 12:17Speaker 2: You know, I've never enslaved anybody, but I think that
- 12:20Speaker 2: having a middleman involved in your enslaving process just seems...
- 12:24Speaker 2: There's got to be a simpler workflow than getting a
- 12:27Speaker 2: humanzy involved.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I've never enslaved anyone, but I did have a
- 12:31Speaker 1: cat that I taught to play fetch once.
- 12:34Speaker 2: That's pretty cool.
- 12:35Speaker 1: And that feels close to the same thing. And at
- 12:38Speaker 1: no point in the process of teaching her to play fetch,
- 12:41Speaker 1: did I just like buy a dog that would do
- 12:44Speaker 1: half the work. And then the cat finishes it. I
- 12:47Speaker 1: just taught the cat. This feels like the same thing.
- 12:49Speaker 1: You're going to make a whole race that you have
- 12:51Speaker 1: to enslave so they can enslave us.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Then what do you do with them?
- 12:54Speaker 1: I guess they're just slaves, too.
- 12:56Speaker 2: I guess you put some kind of like self-destruct monkey
- 12:59Speaker 2: chip in the back of their head. And, you know,
- 13:01Speaker 2: you hit them with the old targeted individual gun anytime
- 13:05Speaker 2: they start acting up.
- 13:06Speaker 1: I feel like a valid comeback. for a lot of
- 13:09Speaker 1: conspiracies that are presented on this show. And you could
- 13:13Speaker 1: put any brand name in here, I guess. But my
- 13:15Speaker 1: question would be, if everything you're saying is true, who's
- 13:19Speaker 1: going to buy Nikes? Are we just assuming all these
- 13:21Speaker 1: corporations are going to fold when the planet is run
- 13:24Speaker 1: by nothing but human chimpanzee hybrids that are enslaved to
- 13:28Speaker 1: do all the work of their masters? What are they
- 13:30Speaker 1: doing work for? Who's buying the shit they're producing?
- 13:33Speaker 2: Who will the Amazon drivers drive to? Exactly.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Some of us have to survive in this situation if
- 13:40Speaker 1: it's all about creating wealth and enslaving people. Can I
- 13:45Speaker 1: see the tears? Where am I on the Patreon level
- 13:49Speaker 1: right now?
- 13:50Speaker 2: I think that it's going to be like 2,000 rich
- 13:54Speaker 2: people and then just robot butlers out the ass. Every
- 13:58Speaker 2: different kind of robot butler, there's going to be a
- 14:01Speaker 2: pharma matic machine that grows tomatoes and a fucking bartender
- 14:05Speaker 2: Tron that makes you a gin and ton. It's, it's just,
- 14:08Speaker 2: they're going to completely just eliminate the popper class. They
- 14:12Speaker 2: don't even like looking at us.
- 14:13Speaker 1: I can see that. I don't know where they'll get
- 14:15Speaker 1: like sex trafficking victims and what, well, I guess you
- 14:18Speaker 1: could make those in a lab too.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm sure there's going to be boutique breeding programs
- 14:22Speaker 2: that are quite disturbing.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Yeah, that's one of the things that's in the Epstein files.
- 14:28Speaker 1: There's an email from someone asking him about investing in
- 14:33Speaker 1: a human cloning and designer baby startup. They were requesting $ 9. 5
- 14:39Speaker 1: million for five years of operation. Doesn't that seem cheap
- 14:43Speaker 1: for five years running a human cloning factory?
- 14:46Speaker 2: It does, but I was mostly just distracted thinking about
- 14:48Speaker 2: a baby with a Louis Vuitton logo stamped all across
- 14:52Speaker 2: it like a designer handbag. And I thought that actually
- 14:54Speaker 2: would look kind of sick. Tattooing your baby with like,
- 14:57Speaker 2: you know, like the Gucci G, you know, on there.
- 14:59Speaker 1: A little Fendi baby.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Yeah. Are you offended at my Fendi baby? I used
- 15:06Speaker 2: to work for a guy. I just looked up how
- 15:07Speaker 2: much he's worth. He's worth, like, Google's guessing between $ 10
- 15:11Speaker 2: and $ 25 million. So that's not even that rich in
- 15:13Speaker 2: the grand scheme of things. That's, like, mild to moderately rich.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Every time he would see a person that, like, you know,
- 15:21Speaker 2: people in IATSE, union stagehands that make pretty good money,
- 15:25Speaker 2: it would still be like he was looking at a
- 15:27Speaker 2: dirty Indian beggar on the streets, like, you know, in rags.
- 15:32Speaker 2: It was just disgusting to him. Like, it really warps
- 15:35Speaker 2: your brain.
- 15:36Speaker 1: So, Tyrell... He's got a lead for once. Tyrell's being
- 15:40Speaker 1: useful in the round table. A Dr. Zanjani.
- 15:43Speaker 2: The whole time I'm just staring at his bald spot
- 15:45Speaker 2: pompadour where he's managed to take the 47 hairs in
- 15:48Speaker 2: the front of his head and hairspray them up about
- 15:51Speaker 2: two and a half inches and then at a right
- 15:53Speaker 2: angle perpendicular to the top of his head. And this
- 15:57Speaker 2: like from the right angle, it sort of looks like
- 16:00Speaker 2: he has hair, but it's just the most struggled pompadour
- 16:04Speaker 2: you've ever seen in your life.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Yeah, it looks like he could put some tchotchkes up there.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Yeah, if you could fit three Lego men holding hands
- 16:12Speaker 2: underneath his pompadour in the shade.
- 16:14Speaker 1: So Tyrell, he's got a lead on this Dr. Zanjani guy.
- 16:17Speaker 1: And Jesse is really skeptical. He's like, so this guy's
- 16:21Speaker 1: a real doctor? And Tyrell's like, yep. And Jesse's like,
- 16:25Speaker 1: and he knows you work for me? And Tyrell's like, yeah,
- 16:27Speaker 1: I told him my last name's Ventura. And Jesse's like,
- 16:31Speaker 1: does he think you work for Ace Ventura or Jesse Ventura?
- 16:34Speaker 1: And it turns out it was probably Ace Ventura because
- 16:37Speaker 1: he finds out it's Jesse Ventura later and then cancels
- 16:40Speaker 1: the interview.
- 16:40Speaker 2: And to be fair, that hairstyle I just described is
- 16:43Speaker 2: not dissimilar to like a struggle Ace Ventura.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Maybe that was Jesse getting a little dig in at
- 16:48Speaker 1: his kid. He's like, look how you're dressed.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Could be.
- 16:53Speaker 1: There is a moment in this where Tyrell shows up
- 16:56Speaker 1: to an interview looking like Jim Carrey in the mask
- 17:00Speaker 1: or some shit. Like he's just wearing the most absurd
- 17:02Speaker 1: fucking zoot suit bullshit. Yes.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Sometimes Tyrell puts on like a like a hat that
- 17:08Speaker 2: like Al Capone would have worn. Yes. Yes. You know,
- 17:11Speaker 2: or something like in like a 1920s bad guy kind
- 17:14Speaker 2: of hat. And I'm like, bring back the pompadour. This
- 17:17Speaker 2: is worse.
- 17:18Speaker 1: This is where Jesse delivers the line Connor mentioned earlier
- 17:22Speaker 1: about Dr. Zanjani, who backs out of this interview.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Which sounds like someone in the oh, yeah, that moron
- 17:27Speaker 2: Zanjani in this fucking taking our freedom.
- 17:31Speaker 1: He says, I guess he's part human, part chicken.
- 17:34Speaker 2: Blow. It's a blow to your fucking soul right there.
- 17:37Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe again, he was sketched out because Tyrell showed
- 17:40Speaker 1: up looking like a gumshoe from a 1950s movie. He's
- 17:43Speaker 1: got the fucking hat on.
- 17:45Speaker 2: Hey, you're growing humanities in here. What say?
- 17:48Speaker 1: So instead, they meet with the awesomely named Dr. Hussein Hussein.
- 17:53Speaker 2: That is a sick name.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. That's movie shit right there.
- 17:56Speaker 2: I was talking to Hussein, too.
- 17:59Speaker 1: Hussein squared. And he just kind of confirms that Dr.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Zanjani is trying to grow organs using sheep and human cells.
- 18:09Speaker 1: And this is when young stone pipes up and goes,
- 18:13Speaker 1: so if you ate that sheep, you'd be eating human cells.
- 18:18Speaker 1: It's like, shut up, kid. No one's going to eat
- 18:20Speaker 1: that sheep. What are you talking about? They're not going
- 18:22Speaker 1: to remove its human organ and then immediately send it
- 18:26Speaker 1: off to be processed by or maybe they would. Maybe
- 18:29Speaker 1: they would.
- 18:30Speaker 2: And also the tangential point, who the fuck is going
- 18:33Speaker 2: to the supermarket and buying mutton? Isn't that what she?
- 18:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Like when's the last time you were in danger of
- 18:38Speaker 2: eating a sheep?
- 18:39Speaker 1: Yeah. I doubt you're seeing a lot of it in
- 18:41Speaker 1: homeless shelters. None of that shit. But they do have
- 18:44Speaker 1: a hypothesis for this at the end that we'll get to.
- 18:50Speaker 1: But before that, it's time to follow the money. Jesse
- 18:52Speaker 1: says that, and I feel like we never actually follow
- 18:56Speaker 1: the money.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Well, it's similar to like power and control. It's just
- 18:59Speaker 2: a phrase you got to throw out in any conspiracy
- 19:01Speaker 2: theory conversation. You know, it's time to follow the money
- 19:04Speaker 2: to see who's trying to use their power to control us.
- 19:07Speaker 1: And so we do a bunch of bouncing around. They
- 19:09Speaker 1: go to a farm where Dr. Hussein Hussein worked. But
- 19:13Speaker 1: then June Sarpong is off to meet a guy named Dr.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Gordon Gallop in Albany, New York.
- 19:19Speaker 2: That's another guy that fought the Fantastic Four.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:22Speaker 2: Reed Richards and Gordon Gallop.
- 19:24Speaker 1: He studies animal behavior and he thinks a half human,
- 19:28Speaker 1: half chimp species is already walking the earth. He says
- 19:32Speaker 1: he coined the term human Z.
- 19:35Speaker 2: He's very proud of that.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Yes. He brings up the Yerkes Primate Center. There's a
- 19:39Speaker 1: great moment in the beginning of this where Jesse says
- 19:42Speaker 1: they're going to a top secret government facility. And then
- 19:45Speaker 1: they just show a sign for that facility just out
- 19:49Speaker 1: in the middle of nowhere. How top secret is it
- 19:51Speaker 1: if you can look at what's on the sign and
- 19:54Speaker 1: then just Google it?
- 19:55Speaker 2: Yeah, just a secret government facility like a Simpsons joke.
- 19:58Speaker 1: And he's like the guy he's with is like, look,
- 20:00Speaker 1: the gate is locked. It's like, yeah, man, it's a
- 20:03Speaker 1: private business. It's not open to the public. Lots of
- 20:07Speaker 1: things out there in the world are going to be locked.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Including your ex-wife's house, as you know.
- 20:11Speaker 1: That doesn't mean this place isn't weird. They just don't
- 20:15Speaker 1: do a great job of uncovering evidence in this place.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Episode. They're like, well, look at the size of that
- 20:20Speaker 2: guy's stupid hat. He must be here to try to
- 20:23Speaker 2: bother us somehow with some Reddit nonsense.
- 20:26Speaker 1: And so Dr. Gordon Gallup is just here to join
- 20:30Speaker 1: the chorus of people saying the government is trying to
- 20:33Speaker 1: inseminate female chimps with human sperm. So then we go
- 20:36Speaker 1: back to Tyrell and Lil Stone at that farm. They
- 20:39Speaker 1: don't get far before the police show up. And then
- 20:42Speaker 1: we cut right back to June Sarpong. Lots of bouncing around.
- 20:46Speaker 1: in this moment she calls the governor calls him governor.
- 20:49Speaker 2: Does it give us the aloe though with as much
- 20:51Speaker 2: as we want the aloe governor.
- 20:52Speaker 1: And i think she says something i think she calls
- 20:54Speaker 1: him sir first which that's not making it less british
- 20:58Speaker 1: yeah june sarpong calling him sir governor that's like sir elton.
- 21:01Speaker 2: John let's calm down with the sir he's just even
- 21:05Speaker 2: i mean yeah sure he was a governor but governors
- 21:07Speaker 2: let's leave governors fine He was.
- 21:09Speaker 1: Also a mayor, he brings up in one of these episodes.
- 21:13Speaker 2: He does bring that up, which is pretty... No, he says,
- 21:15Speaker 2: I've been a governor. I've been a mayor. What rank
- 21:18Speaker 2: do I have to achieve? Senator? President?
- 21:21Speaker 1: Like, I don't think that would get you in this facility, dude.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Yeah, if you're a secretary of state, I don't think
- 21:26Speaker 2: they'd just let you in a water treatment plant necessarily
- 21:29Speaker 2: or whatever. You know, any kind of fenced off area.
- 21:32Speaker 1: So... She calls Jesse and tells him about the human
- 21:35Speaker 1: Z's Tyrell meets with Jesse and tells him about the
- 21:38Speaker 1: sheep with human livers. And now Jesse is shook. He
- 21:41Speaker 1: goes off to meet with a guy named Dr. William
- 21:43Speaker 1: Hurlburt to talk about human chimp hybrids. This guy also
- 21:47Speaker 1: says the word human Z, but he suggests there may
- 21:50Speaker 1: be being created as domestic slaves, which does that mean
- 21:55Speaker 1: we're going to let everyone out of prison? Cause I
- 21:57Speaker 1: hate to break it to you, but we got a
- 21:58Speaker 1: domestic slave force in this country. It's, written into the constitution.
- 22:03Speaker 2: Are we gonna have a new like three-fifths rule where
- 22:06Speaker 2: it's like if your slave is 45 percent human or
- 22:10Speaker 2: less then it's a beast and you can make it
- 22:13Speaker 2: bring you coffee Well, we.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Did an episode about one of the more recent UFO documentaries.
- 22:20Speaker 1: I think it's one that Bob Lazar is in. And
- 22:24Speaker 1: they have a former CIA guy in there talking about
- 22:28Speaker 1: how there are people walking among us who are actually
- 22:32Speaker 1: human alien hybrid people and that you can detect it
- 22:37Speaker 1: with a DNA test. And it's like, oh, that doesn't
- 22:40Speaker 1: sound like it's going to end in a weird genocide
- 22:42Speaker 1: at all. What are you getting at that there are
- 22:45Speaker 1: human alien hybrids? Do we round them up next? Are
- 22:49Speaker 1: they better than us? Are they worse than us? Fill
- 22:52Speaker 1: in the rest of the details, please.
- 22:54Speaker 2: And answer my question. Can we fuck them? Not saying
- 22:56Speaker 2: I want to just want to know if you can.
- 22:59Speaker 1: I mean, it would stand to reason that we already
- 23:01Speaker 1: are right.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Well, if they're doing it the old fashioned way.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true.
- 23:04Speaker 2: That's true.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Maybe they're doing it with their tails like the Navi.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Maybe that's how you tell.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Well, wouldn't you just get a friggin alien fucking turkey
- 23:12Speaker 2: baster and squirt it on in there, you know, or
- 23:15Speaker 2: do it in a Petri dish and then put the
- 23:17Speaker 2: embryo in your womb?
- 23:18Speaker 1: You know, I don't want to speak for aliens.
- 23:23Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true. Probably something we couldn't even imagine. Something
- 23:27Speaker 2: incredibly smart.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Yeah, probably feels great, too.
- 23:30Speaker 2: They probably have like an easy drag and drop system
- 23:32Speaker 2: where you can be like, I want the arms of
- 23:33Speaker 2: a crab and the fucking tail of a scorpion and
- 23:37Speaker 2: the body of a monkey. This is actually a pretty
- 23:38Speaker 2: cool animal I'm pitching right now. Monkey, crab, scorpion.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I'd have one around the house. One's breaking in.
- 23:44Speaker 1: You got that fucking thing bouncing around the living room.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Doesn't seem very cuddly, but excellent home security.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:49Speaker 2: I would see what I would do is I'd have
- 23:51Speaker 2: a bunch of trees outside. He'd be an outside monkey, crab, scorpion.
- 23:54Speaker 2: He could just swing around kind of looking at you,
- 23:56Speaker 2: hissing and shit, you know, bearing his fangs.
- 23:59Speaker 1: Yeah, or put him in a really tight and closed
- 24:01Speaker 1: space right by the front door so he's agitated and angry,
- 24:04Speaker 1: full of energy whenever intruders show up.
- 24:07Speaker 2: The Michael Vick of hybrid animals.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I think we should hear him out when it
- 24:11Speaker 1: comes to hybrid animals. Maybe we could use him.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Cat dog. Oh, a little puppy. Kitty. Pitty. Pitty, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 24:18Speaker 2: Or a puppy.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Yep.
- 24:20Speaker 2: Cute.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Cute. So June, she talks to a scientist who tried
- 24:25Speaker 1: to get a patent for human-chimp hybrids. to stop other
- 24:29Speaker 1: people from making them. And that failed. We do find
- 24:32Speaker 1: out in this that there is a law against inseminating
- 24:36Speaker 1: a human with animal semen, but it doesn't go the
- 24:40Speaker 1: other way. There's no law against inseminating a animal with
- 24:45Speaker 1: human semen.
- 24:46Speaker 2: This is a real air bud clause.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:49Speaker 2: So just because there's not a according to Hoyle law.
- 24:53Speaker 1: Yeah, something some laws shouldn't need to be written.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the thing. It's something it's it's I guess
- 24:59Speaker 2: you would call it common sense.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Yeah. But apparently the government's doing it. According to this episode,
- 25:05Speaker 1: DARPA comes up as a possible suspect in creating human
- 25:09Speaker 1: Z's because DARPA has got to come up.
- 25:11Speaker 2: Well, I mean, that's where they do all the stuff
- 25:12Speaker 2: that we talk about.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:14Speaker 2: It's kind of the Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory of conspiracy theories,
- 25:18Speaker 2: you know? Does it all, gobstoppers, Wonka bars.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Speaking of the Willy Wonka of conspiracy theories, Alex Jones
- 25:24Speaker 1: is here.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Yes. Come with me and you'll see they were crisis
- 25:30Speaker 2: actors all along.
- 25:32Speaker 1: He's really turning on the TV theatrics. He meets Jesse
- 25:36Speaker 1: in a dank, dark stairwell and whispers to him about
- 25:40Speaker 1: the Yerkes Research Facility.
- 25:43Speaker 2: He always meets him in places like where Batman would
- 25:46Speaker 2: beat guys up.
- 25:47Speaker 1: And every time it happens, I'm like, you're on television.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Why the secrecy? You're filming this for television. You could
- 25:56Speaker 1: just go to Starbucks or something. Enjoy a sandwich.
- 26:00Speaker 2: And you're in a desert, like an abandoned parking garage
- 26:03Speaker 2: on the outskirts of town. Nobody is like there. listening
- 26:06Speaker 2: in with the fucking glass pressed up against the wall.
- 26:09Speaker 1: You know, at least they weren't until they saw a
- 26:12Speaker 1: true TV camera crew show up and set up outside
- 26:16Speaker 1: this facility.
- 26:17Speaker 2: That'd be great. If they had for this show, if
- 26:18Speaker 2: they had like a Danny's flowers, like fake FBI surveillance
- 26:22Speaker 2: van that they could get in and out of.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Yeah, I remember I saw a van outside my apartment
- 26:26Speaker 1: once and it just said city plumbing. It's like, okay,
- 26:30Speaker 1: that's the FBI. You can't just call yourself city plumbing.
- 26:34Speaker 2: No font, no logo, you know, no phone number. Right.
- 26:38Speaker 1: So he meets with Alex Jones. Alex Jones also brings
- 26:42Speaker 1: up Humansies, but he says they're meant to be soldiers
- 26:46Speaker 1: and that they're real and they have been for decades.
- 26:49Speaker 2: How scary would that be, though? Just a fucking swinging
- 26:52Speaker 2: into your house?
- 26:53Speaker 1: What?
- 26:53Speaker 2: With the AK-47?
- 26:54Speaker 1: Yeah, it's one of those things where on the one hand,
- 26:58Speaker 1: you'd be like, well, hey, at least we're not going
- 27:00Speaker 1: to war anymore. But then it's like, yeah, but what
- 27:03Speaker 1: if they turn them on you? Then what? Then what
- 27:05Speaker 1: if that's ICE next?
- 27:06Speaker 2: I was about to say, what if ICE is a
- 27:08Speaker 2: bunch of chimps? Immigration chimp enforcement.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Oh, I don't like that. I don't like that at all.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Maybe that's what got this show kicked off the air.
- 27:17Speaker 2: I thought there was no way that ICE agents could
- 27:19Speaker 2: have less humanity.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. Make them actual animals.
- 27:23Speaker 2: I just keep wondering, when are we going to debut
- 27:25Speaker 2: all of these hidden fucking super future weapons we have?
- 27:30Speaker 2: It seems so ridiculous to me. I have a friend.
- 27:32Speaker 2: This is the this is a total older brother story.
- 27:34Speaker 2: I have a friend with a friend in the military.
- 27:36Speaker 2: And what he told me with, you know, with full
- 27:38Speaker 2: confidence was that he said they have a laser they
- 27:41Speaker 2: can shoot from space that could cut a telephone pole
- 27:44Speaker 2: in half with that level of accuracy. And I'm like, well,
- 27:46Speaker 2: then why don't we just cut Iran in half? What
- 27:49Speaker 2: are we like? What are we what are we doing?
- 27:51Speaker 1: Yeah, that's my question about controlling the weather, too. Well,
- 27:55Speaker 1: why do we ever go to war? If that's true,
- 27:58Speaker 1: couldn't we just send some weather shit to Iran and
- 28:01Speaker 1: fucking get our objectives done the same way?
- 28:04Speaker 2: Is the real power holding all these mysterious cards and
- 28:07Speaker 2: not using them?
- 28:08Speaker 1: I also love when it comes to the weather, when
- 28:11Speaker 1: it happens to a right wing conspiracy theorist type area, like, say,
- 28:17Speaker 1: the hurricanes that hit North Carolina during the 2024 elections.
- 28:22Speaker 1: They were like, this is Democrats trying to control the
- 28:24Speaker 1: weather to hold Republicans down. And it's like, OK, well,
- 28:28Speaker 1: where are you now that Republicans are in power? And Gary,
- 28:31Speaker 1: Indiana hasn't had electricity for years. eight or nine days
- 28:35Speaker 1: because of a storm. But meanwhile, all their data centers
- 28:39Speaker 1: are still up and running. Is that Republicans controlling the
- 28:42Speaker 1: weather or do Democrats just do it to you? I
- 28:45Speaker 1: don't think it's either.
- 28:46Speaker 2: But we have such an insane system of government where
- 28:48Speaker 2: like just like two parties fight back and forth with
- 28:51Speaker 2: weather controlling machines, you know, and it's just whoever can
- 28:55Speaker 2: do most the most damage to the other one's ideology
- 28:57Speaker 2: in the time that they're there. And it's just this
- 29:00Speaker 2: battle to the death. Well, I'm going to shoot the
- 29:03Speaker 2: hurricane gun at you. Well, you think I'm not going
- 29:07Speaker 2: to use my sophisticated hurricane gun at you?
- 29:10Speaker 1: Oh, that would be nice. We should just vote for
- 29:12Speaker 1: who gets the hurricane gun. That should be all we
- 29:15Speaker 1: vote based on. Who do you trust more with the
- 29:17Speaker 1: hurricane gun?
- 29:18Speaker 2: That's how I think of it.
- 29:20Speaker 1: I bet every other problem would just sort of fall
- 29:22Speaker 1: in line if we voted based on that.
- 29:24Speaker 2: Say what you will about the woman. I don't think
- 29:26Speaker 2: she's perfect. Hillary Clinton would not have used a hurricane gun.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Nope, probably not.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Too shrewd.
- 29:33Speaker 1: So now it's time for Jesse to, again, follow the money.
- 29:36Speaker 1: And by that, we mean he's going to this Yerkes
- 29:38Speaker 1: research facility. facility and he's going to stand outside the
- 29:42Speaker 1: fence and yell.
- 29:43Speaker 2: I've always wanted to do that, to stand outside a
- 29:45Speaker 2: fence and just go, you motherfuckers, you know, like it
- 29:49Speaker 2: doesn't really matter what about even. Yeah.
- 29:51Speaker 1: I wonder if you get shot if you do that
- 29:53Speaker 1: without a camera crew.
- 29:54Speaker 2: That's a good point.
- 29:55Speaker 1: Yeah. You'd want to have some travel channel people in
- 29:58Speaker 1: tow or something.
- 30:00Speaker 2: Or at least a couple with their iPhones whipped out,
- 30:02Speaker 2: you know? Yeah.
- 30:03Speaker 1: I like the part here where Jesse realizes they're being
- 30:06Speaker 1: filmed by someone. And Jesse really gets outmatched in this confrontation.
- 30:12Speaker 1: He goes and confronts the dude that's filming him and
- 30:14Speaker 1: is like, hey, I noticed you're filming me. Why are
- 30:17Speaker 1: you filming me? And the guy's like, I'm Neighborhood Watch.
- 30:20Speaker 1: And Jesse's like, yeah, why are you filming us? And
- 30:22Speaker 1: he just goes, you're in the neighborhood.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Argue with that governor yeah pretty pretty open and shut
- 30:30Speaker 2: Fucking checkmate. You are being really weird at a strange place.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Yeah, you are standing outside this fucking facility, leather jacketed up, granted.
- 30:40Speaker 1: So you look cool, but still kind of suspicious.
- 30:42Speaker 2: With that ponytail taut. There's a taut ponytail.
- 30:46Speaker 1: Someone else shows up and tells Jesse they can't be there.
- 30:50Speaker 1: And that's when Jesse goes off, starts listing his fucking credits.
- 30:55Speaker 1: He's like, I was a mayor. I was a governor.
- 30:58Speaker 1: What do I got to be to get in here?
- 30:59Speaker 1: And the guy's like an employee. I don't know what
- 31:03Speaker 1: you want from me. The guy does just like walk
- 31:06Speaker 1: off when he realizes Jesse Ventura.
- 31:08Speaker 2: I'm not sure if it's this guy or another guy
- 31:10Speaker 2: you talked to, but like he's he was like Jesse
- 31:12Speaker 2: is shouting something crazy at him. And the guy is
- 31:14Speaker 2: just like, I don't I have nothing to say about that. Like,
- 31:18Speaker 2: I just I'm I'm sure I have to close the
- 31:19Speaker 2: gate now because you're being very weird.
- 31:22Speaker 1: Jesse does kind of operate on the same principle as
- 31:25Speaker 1: people who like call customer service and complain about like
- 31:28Speaker 1: really high level bank decisions. Like the fucking cashier is
- 31:32Speaker 1: responsible for Bank of America changing their overdraft fee. That's
- 31:37Speaker 1: not on the person you're talking to on the phone.
- 31:39Speaker 1: They have no fucking control over it at all.
- 31:42Speaker 2: I saw an old evil man screaming at the CVS
- 31:47Speaker 2: lady at the pharmacy and Because he had to give
- 31:50Speaker 2: them his phone number. And he was like, I didn't
- 31:53Speaker 2: have to fucking do that before. And now I have
- 31:55Speaker 2: to do it. And I'm going to kill you. He
- 31:58Speaker 2: was just the nastiest. And he was just talking. And
- 32:01Speaker 2: it was like, bro, what the fuck do you care? Yeah.
- 32:05Speaker 2: It's clearly the only person that's going to text you,
- 32:07Speaker 2: you lonely old bastard.
- 32:09Speaker 1: If it's even a cell phone, he probably still has
- 32:11Speaker 1: a landline.
- 32:12Speaker 2: Yeah, truly.
- 32:13Speaker 1: Which in that case, maybe that's why you don't want
- 32:15Speaker 1: to give your phone number out.
- 32:16Speaker 2: Who knows?
- 32:17Speaker 1: Just give your number out, you old goat. So this
- 32:21Speaker 1: episode one ends with young stone talking to a guy
- 32:25Speaker 1: about how actually the animals that they're growing human livers
- 32:29Speaker 1: in that is being done as a food source for
- 32:33Speaker 1: the human Z's to give them a taste for human blood. Oh, wow.
- 32:39Speaker 2: That's so good.
- 32:40Speaker 1: Yeah. Which we just leave that kind of dangling at
- 32:44Speaker 1: the end. Young stone is like, cool, moving on.
- 32:48Speaker 2: Well, because if a sheep is 30 percent people, you know, then,
- 32:51Speaker 2: you know, you're that's, you know, 30 percent human flesh. Yeah.
- 32:55Speaker 1: You're literally eating sheep at that point.
- 32:57Speaker 2: If you slowly made my bacon like five percent, if
- 33:00Speaker 2: I get a pack of bacon every week at the supermarket,
- 33:03Speaker 2: if every week you made it five percent more human,
- 33:06Speaker 2: you know, by 10 weeks, I'm I'm I'm a half
- 33:08Speaker 2: a cannibal.
- 33:09Speaker 1: Yeah, it could work.
- 33:10Speaker 2: It could work.
- 33:11Speaker 1: The episode ends with Jesse kind of theorizing that we're
- 33:14Speaker 1: headed for a Planet of the Apes type. future because
- 33:18Speaker 1: the fear is they're going to create this slave workforce
- 33:22Speaker 1: and then it's going to rise up like Caesar and
- 33:24Speaker 1: his gang from Planet of the Apes and take over
- 33:28Speaker 1: the planet. And I don't know. I bet if this
- 33:30Speaker 1: is real, they've thought about that. I bet there's some
- 33:33Speaker 1: sort of kill switch built into these fucking human Z's
- 33:37Speaker 1: that they can just flip if shit gets out of hand.
- 33:39Speaker 2: Well, that's yeah, that's that's that's what I suggested. The
- 33:42Speaker 2: monkey self detonation chips.
- 33:44Speaker 1: Yeah, just have Elon Musk put one of those in
- 33:48Speaker 1: every one of these freak show heads.
- 33:50Speaker 2: Have you seen the video where the monkey plays video
- 33:52Speaker 2: games with his brain because he's got a Neuralink? No.
- 33:55Speaker 2: So there's a monkey. Every time he gets a little
- 33:59Speaker 2: dot that's moving around on the screen with his little
- 34:00Speaker 2: cursor character, he gets a sip of a banana smoothie.
- 34:04Speaker 2: So he's literally he's literally gaming and like drinking energy drinks.
- 34:07Speaker 2: And he's playing this little game with the joystick. And
- 34:09Speaker 2: then they unplug the fucking joystick. And it's just going
- 34:12Speaker 2: from his like brain signals. And it's still working. It's crazy.
- 34:16Speaker 1: That's insane.
- 34:17Speaker 2: Very creepy. But yeah, with the whole Planet of the
- 34:19Speaker 2: Apes thing, Jesse kind of does this Mythbusters thing with
- 34:22Speaker 2: the show where when he can't really come to some
- 34:25Speaker 2: sort of satisfying moment, he goes, well, what if they're
- 34:27Speaker 2: trying to make an army of chimps, man? They just,
- 34:31Speaker 2: you know, in the Mythbusters can't make the thing blow
- 34:33Speaker 2: up with the actual premise. They just blow it up
- 34:34Speaker 2: with dynamite. So they get a good shot.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Yeah, that's kind of the thing on both of these episodes.
- 34:39Speaker 1: They're really grasping at straws. for a lot of this,
- 34:43Speaker 1: because for one thing on this one, they don't bring
- 34:47Speaker 1: anyone on to defend this to be like, okay, well, yeah,
- 34:52Speaker 1: we're putting fucking livers in pigs, but it's for the
- 34:56Speaker 1: benefit of humans. Sure. There's going to be some school
- 35:00Speaker 1: of thought that that's unethical, but tell it to a
- 35:02Speaker 1: person who needs a new fucking liver.
- 35:04Speaker 2: Well, Let me reel you this. What about the flavor
- 35:07Speaker 2: of pork with the tenderness of beef?
- 35:10Speaker 1: That, I think, would be an innovation we could all
- 35:12Speaker 1: get behind.
- 35:13Speaker 2: And if only we could get the size of a chicken.
- 35:15Speaker 1: Oh, hell yeah.
- 35:17Speaker 2: Beefy pork chicken wings?
- 35:19Speaker 1: Ooh, I'm having chicken wings for dinner tonight. Can't stop
- 35:22Speaker 1: thinking about them. So excited.
- 35:23Speaker 2: I'm going to the grocery store. I'm getting the steak
- 35:25Speaker 2: because I made some Dr. Pepper barbecue sauce that Rivers
- 35:28Speaker 2: Langley told me about, and it's fucking delicious.
- 35:30Speaker 1: That sounds all right. You want to send me that recipe,
- 35:33Speaker 1: I would fucking try it out.
- 35:34Speaker 2: I will send it to you. This is the mandated
- 35:36Speaker 2: part of every episode of Conspiracy to the Show where
- 35:38Speaker 2: Adam and I talk about fast food for... 11 minutes?
- 35:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:42Speaker 2: But the fucking chicken ciabatta sandwich from Jack of the Box, man.
- 35:46Speaker 1: So now it's time for the series finale. Brain Invaders
- 35:51Speaker 1: is the name of this episode. We're talking mind control here.
- 35:55Speaker 2: Lots of semi-gross, disturbing B-roll in the previous episode. I
- 35:59Speaker 2: recommend not watching the episode with all the shots of
- 36:03Speaker 2: cows and pigs when you're eating a carne asada burrito
- 36:05Speaker 2: like I did when I watched it last night. It
- 36:07Speaker 2: was not very appetizing.
- 36:09Speaker 1: Yeah, there's some disturbing animal footage in the manimal episode.
- 36:14Speaker 1: But now we're on to brain invaders.
- 36:16Speaker 2: Brain invaders.
- 36:18Speaker 1: Series finale. We're talking mind control on this episode. I
- 36:22Speaker 1: went into this thinking this could not have been meant
- 36:25Speaker 1: to be the season finale because what kind of show
- 36:27Speaker 1: ends on episode seven? That would drive me insane if
- 36:31Speaker 1: I was creating a show and had to end on
- 36:33Speaker 1: an uneven number.
- 36:35Speaker 2: No, that's the reality, though. Now, man, I mean, the
- 36:38Speaker 2: episode orders are getting shorter and shorter.
- 36:41Speaker 1: Yeah, but I would just go six.
- 36:42Speaker 2: You'd rather have six than seven.
- 36:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I would have just stopped at six instead of
- 36:46Speaker 1: doing this episode because this episode feels kind of desperate
- 36:50Speaker 1: to me.
- 36:50Speaker 2: So you're the EP of Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura
- 36:53Speaker 2: and you're going to leave 50 grand on the table
- 36:54Speaker 2: because you have this thing about numbers.
- 36:57Speaker 1: You think they made that much?
- 36:59Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe more like 20.
- 37:00Speaker 1: Yeah. Who knows?
- 37:02Speaker 2: Who knows?
- 37:03Speaker 1: It's a sliding scale. But as I got through this episode,
- 37:07Speaker 1: I don't know. I feel like they might have hit
- 37:09Speaker 1: a wall a little bit.
- 37:10Speaker 2: Well, because like you said, he only does modern conspiracy theories.
- 37:14Speaker 1: Right.
- 37:14Speaker 2: We have run into this problem on this program. Eventually,
- 37:17Speaker 2: you kind of cover it all.
- 37:19Speaker 1: Right. You got to go historical.
- 37:21Speaker 2: You do DARPA and HAARP and Humansys, and you get
- 37:25Speaker 2: to the point where you're scraping the bottle of the barrel.
- 37:26Speaker 1: Yeah. You're making your own shit up. Like the CIA
- 37:29Speaker 1: killed Reagan.
- 37:31Speaker 2: I think I just said bottle of the barrel. Excuse me.
- 37:34Speaker 1: God damn it, Connor.
- 37:35Speaker 2: The bottle of the barrel.
- 37:36Speaker 1: So Dr. Terry Robertson, he's the first interview in this.
- 37:40Speaker 1: He talks about psychotronic weapons and targeted individuals.
- 37:45Speaker 2: Awesome. Something I would have come up when I was 12. Well,
- 37:48Speaker 2: he uses psychotronic weapons.
- 37:49Speaker 1: Targeted individuals are people who think they are being targeted
- 37:53Speaker 1: by the government using mind control weapons. Basically, they're having
- 37:58Speaker 1: thoughts beamed into their head. An episode like this is really,
- 38:03Speaker 1: really tough because we all know there is a well-documented
- 38:08Speaker 1: and highly common mental disorder that also involves hearing loss.
- 38:14Speaker 1: voices and things of the like. So you're really walking
- 38:19Speaker 1: kind of a tightrope here between are you just encouraging
- 38:24Speaker 1: worsening mental health here or are these people actually being
- 38:29Speaker 1: targeted and deserve to have their voices heard on a
- 38:32Speaker 1: platform like this?
- 38:33Speaker 2: Here's something I know for a fact, just to my heart.
- 38:36Speaker 2: I don't have evidence for this, but I just know
- 38:38Speaker 2: it to be true. The U.S. government has definitely not
- 38:41Speaker 2: targeted zero people with the paranoia gun. I don't think
- 38:45Speaker 2: they've never used it. I just don't. About these specific people,
- 38:49Speaker 2: about what's happening with them on any case-by-case basis, I mean,
- 38:52Speaker 2: I'm not qualified to make psyche vows, but in general,
- 38:55Speaker 2: I think this kind of technology must exist. It makes
- 38:59Speaker 2: sense that it would exist. And like, you know, they
- 39:01Speaker 2: have waves that make you uncomfortable. Crowd control shit. You know,
- 39:04Speaker 2: they can they can definitely beam feelings at you.
- 39:07Speaker 1: Well, that's the thing. This episode is another example of
- 39:10Speaker 1: them talking about stuff that now we know is at
- 39:14Speaker 1: least true to some extent because they talk a lot
- 39:17Speaker 1: about microwaves and EMFs, electromagnetic fields in this.
- 39:23Speaker 2: My accountant got me invested in EMFs.
- 39:25Speaker 1: This episode predates the active denial system.
- 39:29Speaker 2: Right.
- 39:30Speaker 1: Us knowing about the active denial system, which is exactly that.
- 39:33Speaker 1: It's a weapon that uses microwaves to target people in crowds.
- 39:39Speaker 1: It can target just one person. And that's exactly what
- 39:42Speaker 1: it does is it makes you feel super uncomfortable. I
- 39:45Speaker 1: also talked about on an episode about the various assassination
- 39:51Speaker 1: attempts against Trump and how the FBI during Obama uncovered
- 39:56Speaker 1: a plot where a guy had, according to the fucking
- 40:00Speaker 1: FBI accounts, had built a functional death ray that was
- 40:04Speaker 1: capable of targeting one person and was going to use
- 40:08Speaker 1: it to kill Obama. And they stopped him and disabled
- 40:13Speaker 1: the weapon for public safety. So if that's true, because
- 40:17Speaker 1: here's the thing, skeptics. I know your first pushback is always, well,
- 40:22Speaker 1: the government said that's not true. OK, well, now the
- 40:25Speaker 1: government is saying, oh, this guy made a fucking death
- 40:28Speaker 1: ray to kill Obama and we had to disable it.
- 40:31Speaker 1: That's the government saying it's not crazy people saying it.
- 40:34Speaker 1: It's it's the government you trust so much. So now
- 40:38Speaker 1: do you believe someone could make a death ray to
- 40:40Speaker 1: kill someone?
- 40:41Speaker 2: I don't know, but I think you should come see
- 40:42Speaker 2: my band Functional Death Ray at the Chain Reaction in Anaheim.
- 40:47Speaker 1: It is a fantastic band name.
- 40:49Speaker 2: I didn't know that. That's awesome. Well, not awesome. I mean,
- 40:51Speaker 2: you know, I'm generally against assassinating the president. Right.
- 40:55Speaker 1: But the idea that that weapon exists and we know, again,
- 40:58Speaker 1: the active denial system, there's one that's at least capable
- 41:02Speaker 1: of making you feel uncomfortable enough that you want to leave.
- 41:05Speaker 1: Would it not stand to reason that they could just
- 41:08Speaker 1: crank that.
- 41:08Speaker 2: Up a little bit? When they show a patent, I
- 41:11Speaker 2: believe later in the episode where kind of talk about
- 41:13Speaker 2: like a morse code like system where they can sort
- 41:15Speaker 2: of send actual words into your head i'm like that
- 41:18Speaker 2: also makes sense to me if you can alter the
- 41:20Speaker 2: frequency of these vibrations in such a way in such
- 41:22Speaker 2: a pattern that it produces a auditory sound like response
- 41:26Speaker 2: you know like i could see how that would work like.
- 41:28Speaker 1: Yeah and it's so far beyond my understanding who the
- 41:32Speaker 1: fuck am i to be like no science can't do that.
- 41:37Speaker 2: Yeah really how the hell do know probably the smartest
- 41:39Speaker 2: people in the world are working for darv some of
- 41:41Speaker 2: the the top minds truly you know and.
- 41:44Speaker 1: Again the idea that oh well we would know if
- 41:47Speaker 1: they were able to do that why why would we
- 41:50Speaker 1: know they would tell us the government would tell us
- 41:52Speaker 1: that they're capable of pumping fucking thoughts into people's heads
- 41:56Speaker 1: no you know how.
- 41:57Speaker 2: Much america sucks like we always talk about this crazy
- 41:59Speaker 2: technology and all it just gets rolled out in the
- 42:01Speaker 2: most like cynically capitalist way When we do get words
- 42:05Speaker 2: like brained into our head, it's literally going to be
- 42:07Speaker 2: like drink Coke. You know, like there's there's a new
- 42:11Speaker 2: chicken sandwich at Wendy's.
- 42:12Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 42:13Speaker 2: It'll be shit like that. Or Trump will just use it.
- 42:15Speaker 2: That'll be his tweets. And so just beam his tweets
- 42:18Speaker 2: into our heads. Yeah.
- 42:19Speaker 1: Like fucking pop up ads.
- 42:21Speaker 2: Rosie O'Donnell is a fat bitch and blah, blah, blah.
- 42:24Speaker 1: So it's roundtable time right away in this episode. June
- 42:28Speaker 1: Sarpong brings up a bunch of examples of people on
- 42:30Speaker 1: TV having sex. weird episodes that are caused by who
- 42:35Speaker 1: knows what. That's a thread they don't really pull on anymore.
- 42:39Speaker 1: And I think we've all seen it. There's clips of
- 42:41Speaker 1: like reporters doing a fucking news story and they just
- 42:44Speaker 1: like breeze up and lose their shit for a second.
- 42:46Speaker 1: It happened to some want to say it was Jalen Rose,
- 42:49Speaker 1: but some sports guy recently, too. I don't think it
- 42:52Speaker 1: was Jalen Rose, but was in the midst of reporting
- 42:56Speaker 1: on the sideline. And just like you could tell, like
- 42:58Speaker 1: completely fucking lost his shit in the middle of what
- 43:01Speaker 1: he was saying. And everyone laughed. else at the table
- 43:04Speaker 1: with him had to be like okay cut away we'll
- 43:07Speaker 1: start talking for a little bit but that doesn't mean
- 43:10Speaker 1: the government's pumping thoughts into their head.
- 43:12Speaker 2: Well i'm not saying this is what it is in
- 43:14Speaker 2: every case but like i was doing stand-up once and
- 43:16Speaker 2: i was cold and raining outside so i had on
- 43:18Speaker 2: two jackets and a beanie and i got up on
- 43:20Speaker 2: stage and there's like a floodlight like right there in
- 43:22Speaker 2: my face about three minutes into my set i'm starting
- 43:25Speaker 2: to forget material i've been doing for years About five minutes,
- 43:28Speaker 2: I can't even put a sentence together. And I had
- 43:30Speaker 2: to bail on my set earlier. It was like having
- 43:32Speaker 2: a mild heat stroke. There's other reasons you can stop
- 43:36Speaker 2: being able to speak. You can have an anxiety attack.
- 43:38Speaker 2: You could just be dealing with fatigue. I mean, I've
- 43:42Speaker 2: encountered all of these phenomena on some level.
- 43:45Speaker 1: Here's the problem with this episode. We know Havana syndrome
- 43:49Speaker 1: is a thing. We know the active denial system is
- 43:51Speaker 1: a thing.
- 43:52Speaker 2: Although I heard someone say that Havana syndrome, like what if,
- 43:54Speaker 2: what if these, so these people are just talking about
- 43:56Speaker 2: just a general sense of psychic dread and malaise. What
- 43:59Speaker 2: if that's because you work for the CIA doing horrible things,
- 44:02Speaker 2: you know, like, could, could that not be it? Could it,
- 44:04Speaker 2: could you be thinking about all the coups?
- 44:06Speaker 1: Yeah, could be, but we know there's, you know, weapons
- 44:10Speaker 1: and technology that at least sort of approaches what's being done.
- 44:14Speaker 1: described here. The problem with this episode is I don't
- 44:18Speaker 1: believe any of the people who say they're being targeted
- 44:21Speaker 1: because the reasons they say they're being targeted are fucking
- 44:24Speaker 1: stupid and petty.
- 44:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:26Speaker 1: I could understand if someone was like, well, I used
- 44:29Speaker 1: to be an investigative journalist and I was working on
- 44:33Speaker 1: this story.
- 44:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:35Speaker 1: And I was getting I feel like I was really
- 44:38Speaker 1: on to something. And the next thing you know, all
- 44:39Speaker 1: this shit starts. I was going to meet up with
- 44:42Speaker 1: this guy that had a car that ran on water.
- 44:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:45Speaker 1: But instead, we get people like Harlan Gerard, real estate developer.
- 44:49Speaker 1: He's the first targeted individual they interview. He thinks he
- 44:52Speaker 1: was targeted because he said he couldn't support George H.W.
- 44:56Speaker 1: Bush as president. OK, well, why didn't they target Neil
- 44:59Speaker 1: Young then? Motherfucker wrote Rocking in the Free World. I
- 45:02Speaker 1: bet way more people heard that than they heard Harlan
- 45:05Speaker 1: Gerard say he didn't want to support George H.W.
- 45:07Speaker 2: Bush. Man, Harlan Gerard is a tough, that's a name
- 45:11Speaker 2: where you'd like, that guy's got to be some kind
- 45:13Speaker 2: of a prick.
- 45:14Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah. Harlan Gerard, he looks like it too.
- 45:17Speaker 1: He looks like an asshole.
- 45:18Speaker 2: Yeah, like a blue-blooded kind of, you know.
- 45:21Speaker 1: I bet I'd target him if I had a mind
- 45:23Speaker 1: control weapon and I knew him.
- 45:24Speaker 2: But imagine, okay, so you've got these mind control guns.
- 45:27Speaker 2: These are made by the dark area of the military
- 45:29Speaker 2: industrial complex. They've got to cost $ 10 million a piece
- 45:33Speaker 2: for some insane figure. Imagine dedicating one and pointing it
- 45:37Speaker 2: at a guy who just like didn't like five presidents ago.
- 45:40Speaker 1: Yeah, it makes no fucking sense. He brings up EMF waves.
- 45:46Speaker 1: If people haven't listened to it, go check out our episode.
- 45:48Speaker 1: from last week about the San Francisco 49ers electrical substation theory.
- 45:54Speaker 1: Are you familiar with this theory at all? The 49ers
- 45:57Speaker 1: have been plagued by injuries since 2014. They've been one
- 46:01Speaker 1: of the most injured teams. And there's this theory that, well,
- 46:03Speaker 1: they got this electrical substation right next to their stadium
- 46:06Speaker 1: and practice facilities. And it was greatly expanded in 2014.
- 46:10Speaker 1: And that's when the injury started. No, it wasn't. It
- 46:13Speaker 1: was not greatly expanded in 2014. A different one was. Also,
- 46:17Speaker 1: In 2014, they installed the worst turf in the NFL.
- 46:21Speaker 1: Like there are story after story since then about how
- 46:25Speaker 1: shitty and injury prone their turf is. And people are like,
- 46:28Speaker 1: is it the electromagnetic waves? It's like, no, it's the
- 46:32Speaker 1: grass they're running on you dipshits.
- 46:34Speaker 2: Well, we were talking about this before the show, but
- 46:35Speaker 2: this is why we're not the number one conspiracy theory
- 46:38Speaker 2: in the world is because you want all the clicks.
- 46:40Speaker 2: You say electric injuries. What? And then us doing like
- 46:45Speaker 2: the soy jack face for a thumbnail. But instead, we're like, well,
- 46:48Speaker 2: it's complicated and maybe there are human animal hybrids. Yeah, yeah.
- 46:53Speaker 1: That's why we'll always be exactly where we are.
- 46:55Speaker 2: Well, I got that email that was like, congratulations on
- 46:58Speaker 2: being like the 13th biggest conspiracy podcast on the Internet.
- 47:01Speaker 2: And I thought about it for a few minutes. I
- 47:02Speaker 2: was like, that sounds about right.
- 47:04Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 47:05Speaker 2: That sounds about like the market value.
- 47:07Speaker 1: That's a good place to be. Honestly, you don't want
- 47:10Speaker 1: to be one.
- 47:11Speaker 2: You don't want that heat.
- 47:12Speaker 1: No, no, not at all.
- 47:13Speaker 2: That's when they actually come fucking shoot the mind control
- 47:17Speaker 2: gun at your head.
- 47:18Speaker 1: Yeah. Or maybe they have been this whole time, and
- 47:20Speaker 1: that's why we're doing a conspiracy theory podcast.
- 47:23Speaker 2: Maybe. I'm definitely not the happiest person in the world.
- 47:25Speaker 2: I mean, someone could be shooting me with a depression gun.
- 47:29Speaker 1: Yeah. I sure am not able to focus on a
- 47:31Speaker 1: lot of other things in my life.
- 47:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 47:34Speaker 1: So this Gerard guy, he put an ad in The
- 47:38Speaker 1: Progressive to find more people who were going through the
- 47:42Speaker 1: same thing he was.
- 47:43Speaker 2: What's the magazine that has the most crazy people reading it?
- 47:46Speaker 1: Wouldn't think the progressive would be where you'd go for that.
- 47:50Speaker 2: I'd start with like shit porn, you know, and yeah, yeah.
- 47:54Speaker 2: Guns and ammo. Like, yeah.
- 47:57Speaker 1: I mean, these days you would just go on Reddit.
- 47:59Speaker 2: Yeah, true.
- 47:59Speaker 1: The world's last useful website.
- 48:01Speaker 2: Yeah, sadly.
- 48:02Speaker 1: But this is another place in the episode where I
- 48:06Speaker 1: take a little issue with what they're doing. Because Harlan
- 48:10Speaker 1: Gerrard reaching out to people through an ad in the
- 48:13Speaker 1: Progressive to ask if anyone else has been targeted online.
- 48:16Speaker 1: by the government in this way is in no way, shape,
- 48:20Speaker 1: or form him doing a science. That's just him possibly
- 48:24Speaker 1: rounding up more people who might have the same mental
- 48:28Speaker 1: illness he has, who are like, oh, fuck, that must
- 48:31Speaker 1: explain it. It's gotta be the same. I live in
- 48:34Speaker 1: the same area as this guy. I'm hearing voices. It's
- 48:37Speaker 1: got to be that I'm also being targeted by the government.
- 48:39Speaker 2: Earth is a pretty large planet. I think like population
- 48:42Speaker 2: wise at this point, it's like eight billion people. You know,
- 48:45Speaker 2: there's probably going to be someone with the same paranoia
- 48:47Speaker 2: as you have. You could put I was visited by
- 48:49Speaker 2: an Egyptian god and probably in your area, there was
- 48:52Speaker 2: seven people that were also contacted by Ra.
- 48:56Speaker 1: And they do a thing later in this where they
- 48:58Speaker 1: talk about these Gwen towers that are towers that were
- 49:01Speaker 1: built during the 80s for Cold War communication.
- 49:05Speaker 2: Cool name for a conspiracy theory plot device. Like that
- 49:09Speaker 2: sounds like something Iron Man would have to do. We
- 49:12Speaker 2: got to take down the Gwen Towers. Yeah.
- 49:14Speaker 1: And it's an acronym, too. It's definitely some movie shit.
- 49:17Speaker 1: But they talk about these towers. and at one point
- 49:21Speaker 1: they take a map and they overlay known instances of
- 49:26Speaker 1: targeted individuals there's clusters of them all around where these
- 49:31Speaker 1: gwen towers are and they're like see it's the towers.
- 49:35Speaker 2: And Clustered around population centers? Like, yeah, okay. I bet
- 49:39Speaker 2: if you chose, like, McDonald's locations, you could make a
- 49:42Speaker 2: similar map. Like, well, there's all these people in New
- 49:45Speaker 2: York are going insane because of McDonald's.
- 49:48Speaker 1: That, and also, I feel like it could be a
- 49:51Speaker 1: chicken or the egg situation. Did these people all... experience
- 49:56Speaker 1: these symptoms and then found out that this Gwen tower
- 50:01Speaker 1: was there. And then they're like, that must be what's
- 50:03Speaker 1: happening to me. It's, it's gotta be the Gwen tower.
- 50:07Speaker 1: Just like, this guy says. Because if so, that could
- 50:09Speaker 1: still just be sort of a group psychosis thing where
- 50:13Speaker 1: you put your ad in the progressive and you're like, hey,
- 50:16Speaker 1: it turns out there's a Gwen Tower near where I live.
- 50:18Speaker 1: Do you live near where I live? And are you
- 50:20Speaker 1: also hearing voices? Then you're going to get every person
- 50:23Speaker 1: who's hearing fucking voices in that area is going to
- 50:26Speaker 1: be like, yep, must be the Gwen Tower. And now
- 50:29Speaker 1: you got a nice map you can overlay to be like,
- 50:32Speaker 1: look at this cluster. And even then I'm like, How
- 50:35Speaker 1: many people are in that cluster? Is that six or
- 50:37Speaker 1: is it like 700? Because I feel like it could
- 50:40Speaker 1: be more of people who live near these towers are
- 50:43Speaker 1: more prone to blame them for their mental illness than
- 50:48Speaker 1: people who don't.
- 50:49Speaker 2: I think I would respond to that ad just to
- 50:51Speaker 2: meet new people in my area.
- 50:53Speaker 1: Yeah, it does seem like a good singles mixer opportunity.
- 50:56Speaker 2: People that hear voices, like, say what you will, more
- 50:58Speaker 2: interesting than the average guy to talk to.
- 51:01Speaker 1: Oh, for sure. Yeah, I've never heard voices in any way.
- 51:04Speaker 1: I don't ever want to, honestly. I'd be fine. I
- 51:07Speaker 1: don't want some NSA trickster with his hands on the
- 51:10Speaker 1: fucking thought machine sending thoughts my way.
- 51:14Speaker 2: You don't even like these thoughts. Yeah, exactly.
- 51:17Speaker 1: So they talk about microwave beam technology, synthetic telepathy. That's
- 51:22Speaker 1: what the U.S. Air Force got a patent for is
- 51:25Speaker 1: synthetic telepathy.
- 51:27Speaker 2: Wow. Again, what a cool name for something.
- 51:30Speaker 1: And again, you're kind of being an asshole if you
- 51:34Speaker 1: hear synthetic telepathy and you're just immediately like, no, that's
- 51:38Speaker 1: not real. What the fuck are you? Don't know that
- 51:40Speaker 1: much about how auditory effects work.
- 51:43Speaker 2: And also used to be not having polio wasn't real.
- 51:46Speaker 2: It's like, well, you don't have polio fake.
- 51:49Speaker 1: Yeah. So I don't I mean, if the Air Force
- 51:52Speaker 1: got a patent for it, there's got to be something.
- 51:55Speaker 1: to that so then we talked to ken baker he's
- 51:57Speaker 1: a former cop so a cab includes ken baker.
- 52:00Speaker 2: Cop name too oh yeah super ken baker.
- 52:03Speaker 1: And again this is another guy who thinks he's a
- 52:06Speaker 1: targeted individual his reason for why he was targeted oh
- 52:10Speaker 1: i left the police force it's like you and a
- 52:12Speaker 1: lot of other cops have left the police force why
- 52:14Speaker 1: would the government target you with a fucking thought machine
- 52:17Speaker 1: weapon because you left the police force It.
- 52:20Speaker 2: Sounds like these are just people with like ridiculous unresolved
- 52:23Speaker 2: guilt about their like political and career decisions. Yeah. I
- 52:27Speaker 2: didn't support George H.W. Bush enough. And then I went
- 52:30Speaker 2: to mind hell.
- 52:32Speaker 1: He thinks he's being targeted by a directed microwave system.
- 52:36Speaker 2: By the way, if we if we can direct these
- 52:38Speaker 2: microwaves at people's heads, why can't I have like a
- 52:41Speaker 2: little gun that I could cook my food with? Where
- 52:44Speaker 2: I could just put it on a plate and like...
- 52:46Speaker 2: And then I could feel it, see if the chili
- 52:49Speaker 2: is ready.
- 52:52Speaker 1: That would be cool.
- 52:53Speaker 2: I guess people would start shooting them at kids or something.
- 52:55Speaker 2: It is America.
- 52:56Speaker 1: When I was a kid, one of the coolest toys
- 52:59Speaker 1: I ever owned... I bought this at a fucking KB Toys.
- 53:03Speaker 1: I don't know if anyone remembers KB Toys.
- 53:05Speaker 2: God, I'm old. I remember KB Toys.
- 53:08Speaker 1: And I was at the mall one day, and they
- 53:11Speaker 1: had this... It looked like a toy gun that had
- 53:14Speaker 1: like a dish on the end, like almost a satellite
- 53:16Speaker 1: dish at the end of the barrel. And it had headphones.
- 53:19Speaker 1: And it was like, if you point this at someone
- 53:21Speaker 1: like 20, 30 feet away, you can hear everything they're saying.
- 53:25Speaker 1: And I was like, well, that sounds like bullshit, but
- 53:27Speaker 1: I'm intrigued. That fucking thing worked.
- 53:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 53:30Speaker 1: I just sat outside the mall fucking listening to people talking.
- 53:34Speaker 1: It was rad as shit. Yeah.
- 53:36Speaker 2: We had spy ears, like a little set of the
- 53:38Speaker 2: world's first earbud headphones and And then it was just
- 53:41Speaker 2: a little capsule that just was like a microphone. It
- 53:44Speaker 2: just made you hear more.
- 53:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 53:46Speaker 2: You can get it from the ice cream man and shit.
- 53:47Speaker 2: It was great. I honestly thought being a spy was
- 53:50Speaker 2: going to be a more straightforward and common job when
- 53:54Speaker 2: I was a kid. I thought that was like, Just
- 53:56Speaker 2: something you could do like accountant, you know? Yeah.
- 53:59Speaker 1: No shit. At one point as a kid, I had
- 54:00Speaker 1: my heart set on assassin as a job. I'd seen
- 54:04Speaker 1: it in enough movies and I was like, well, you're
- 54:05Speaker 1: fighting the good fight. You're killing the bad people.
- 54:07Speaker 2: It's fine. Yeah, exactly. I'm seven. My moral compass thinks
- 54:12Speaker 2: it's fine.
- 54:12Speaker 1: So Ken Baker, the former cop, he thinks MKUltra is
- 54:17Speaker 1: to blame for all this. And I'm like, of course
- 54:19Speaker 1: I'm listening. But again, my question is, why you, Ken Baker? Which,
- 54:23Speaker 1: in his defense, that's not really how MKUltra worked. They
- 54:26Speaker 1: just sort of targeted whoever was available.
- 54:29Speaker 2: Yeah, whoever was at the brothel at 2 a.m. in
- 54:31Speaker 2: the fucking Castro.
- 54:33Speaker 1: Yeah, or you book an appointment with the wrong psychiatrist.
- 54:36Speaker 1: And next thing you know, you're in a drug-induced coma
- 54:39Speaker 1: for 35 days while he pumps thoughts into your head.
- 54:41Speaker 1: I get that.
- 54:42Speaker 2: Does sound kind of like a fun Tony Soprano dream
- 54:46Speaker 2: sequence to go through, though.
- 54:47Speaker 1: Yeah, that was the main tactic of. one of the
- 54:52Speaker 1: biggest MKUltra doctors. I always forget his name, but he
- 54:54Speaker 1: went on to be the first head of the American
- 54:57Speaker 1: Psychiatric Association, the Canadian Psychiatric Association, and the World Psychiatric Association.
- 55:04Speaker 2: The APA, the CPA, and the WPA?
- 55:07Speaker 1: All of them. And he was a big MKUltra doctor,
- 55:09Speaker 1: and his main focus was what's called psychic driving, where
- 55:14Speaker 1: he would literally put people in drug-induced comas and just
- 55:18Speaker 1: play loops of thoughts and suggestions that he wanted to
- 55:22Speaker 1: plant in their head. That was it. That was his
- 55:24Speaker 1: whole fucking gig, was trying to see if he could
- 55:27Speaker 1: program people's thoughts. And these were people who would just
- 55:31Speaker 1: show up like, hey, I'm kind of sad because my
- 55:34Speaker 1: wife's being an asshole. And he's like, I got the
- 55:36Speaker 1: fix for you, pal. It's insane.
- 55:38Speaker 2: But does that work? Can someone just give me a
- 55:41Speaker 2: bunch of ketamine and sedatives and then just be like,
- 55:43Speaker 2: you don't feel bad every day. That was he using
- 55:47Speaker 2: it to actually fix people's like problems or was he
- 55:49Speaker 2: using it just to like, and when I show you
- 55:51Speaker 2: the eight of diamonds.
- 55:52Speaker 1: See, that's the thing that's, and it could be like
- 55:55Speaker 1: the fucking taco shell commercial. Why not both? Who knows?
- 55:58Speaker 1: But there's no denying the government was working on that
- 56:01Speaker 1: kind of shit. It's just again, chicken or the egg.
- 56:04Speaker 1: Did this guy start hearing voices and then find out
- 56:08Speaker 1: about MK ultra and was like, that must be what's
- 56:10Speaker 1: happening to me because he doesn't seem like a person
- 56:14Speaker 1: anyone would want to target.
- 56:16Speaker 2: Otherwise. Well, you say it's a chicken and the egg
- 56:19Speaker 2: thing when they, when they're talking to that group of
- 56:21Speaker 2: neighbors that are being targeted by the Gwen towers, one
- 56:24Speaker 2: of them is going through a sleep routine. And she's like,
- 56:26Speaker 2: I wear these like lead, this lead apron and this
- 56:30Speaker 2: like tin foil hat and all this shit that, you know,
- 56:33Speaker 2: blocks the EMF waves and it's really hot. And I
- 56:36Speaker 2: still have to wear it in summer. And she's like,
- 56:38Speaker 2: And yeah, I only I've you know, I've carried on
- 56:40Speaker 2: my job only getting two and a half hours of
- 56:42Speaker 2: sleep a night. And it's like, well, no wonder you
- 56:44Speaker 2: hear voices, lady. You sleep for two and a half
- 56:46Speaker 2: hours a night.
- 56:47Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly. Have you tried drugs?
- 56:50Speaker 2: Yeah, truly. This was what Seroquel and fucking.
- 56:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 56:54Speaker 2: What did Roseanne take the sleeping pill?
- 56:57Speaker 1: Or even take a fucking Z-Quil to start. See if
- 57:00Speaker 1: that works.
- 57:01Speaker 2: You know, Z-Quil is just Benadryl in liquid form.
- 57:04Speaker 1: Yeah, it's diphenhydramine, I think, is the active ingredient.
- 57:08Speaker 2: I think diphenhydramine is a linebacker for the 49ers.
- 57:12Speaker 1: So June meets the man in the white van, my
- 57:15Speaker 1: least favorite character on this whole entire show. He's trying
- 57:18Speaker 1: to be mysterious and he's just an asshole. He hits
- 57:21Speaker 1: June with the how very astute of you line again.
- 57:25Speaker 1: And it sounds like an insult. Tells her fucking nothing.
- 57:28Speaker 2: You don't disrespect June Sarpong on this show.
- 57:31Speaker 1: No, no. You don't impugn her journalistic integrity.
- 57:34Speaker 2: Isn't she the one who's an elected official in the UK?
- 57:37Speaker 1: She sure is.
- 57:38Speaker 2: Yeah. You put some fucking respect on her name.
- 57:41Speaker 1: I don't know if she was elected or appointed. You
- 57:43Speaker 1: know how the fucking UK is. Just one day you're
- 57:45Speaker 1: a fucking knight out of the blue.
- 57:46Speaker 2: Yeah, just happens.
- 57:48Speaker 1: So the Gwen Towers, built in the late 80s for
- 57:51Speaker 1: Cold War purposes. Again, they overlay this map of targeted individuals.
- 57:55Speaker 1: There's clusters of them around each of the towers. This
- 57:59Speaker 1: is one of those things you see on conspiracy theory
- 58:02Speaker 1: shows and podcasts where they're like giving you just enough
- 58:05Speaker 1: information to make it seem sketchy, but you're not getting
- 58:08Speaker 1: all the details. Like when people will say, oh, crime
- 58:12Speaker 1: went up by 100% after this happened. And you're like,
- 58:17Speaker 1: go on.
- 58:18Speaker 2: They went from one robbery to two.
- 58:20Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. Is that what you mean by 100%? Because
- 58:22Speaker 1: if so, I don't give a fuck. This is sort
- 58:23Speaker 1: of the same thing. We don't know how many people
- 58:26Speaker 1: are in these clusters. And again, I need to know,
- 58:29Speaker 1: did these people start having these symptoms, found out they
- 58:32Speaker 1: live near a Gwen Tower, and were like, that's it?
- 58:35Speaker 1: That must be it. Because Connor just mentioned the neighbors.
- 58:39Speaker 1: They go, is it June Sarpong who goes and meets
- 58:41Speaker 1: with the neighbors?
- 58:43Speaker 2: I think it might be the Fail Sons.
- 58:44Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 58:45Speaker 2: Or maybe it's Jesse himself. I think it's Jesse himself.
- 58:48Speaker 1: Either way, they go and meet with a woman named
- 58:50Speaker 1: Lisa Becker, who says she is a targeted individual. She
- 58:54Speaker 1: has a bunch of neighbors who are targeted individuals also.
- 58:59Speaker 1: And this is where I really lose faith in this episode,
- 59:03Speaker 1: because these people go through their reasons for being targeted
- 59:07Speaker 1: by the government. The first woman, Lisa Becker, says this
- 59:10Speaker 1: with a huge smile on her face. She says she
- 59:14Speaker 1: thinks she might have been targeted. Quote, it might be
- 59:18Speaker 1: the fact that I had the White House on my
- 59:20Speaker 1: speed dial and I called them on a daily basis
- 59:22Speaker 1: to give them directives as far as policy. End quote.
- 59:26Speaker 1: I don't want to be an asshole. I don't want
- 59:28Speaker 1: to be ableist, whatever you want to call it. If
- 59:31Speaker 1: Lisa was doing that before she was targeted, it's possible
- 59:35Speaker 1: there was something going on with Lisa before this.
- 59:39Speaker 2: Calling the White House every day is some of the
- 59:41Speaker 2: most mentally ill behavior. I think you could come like
- 59:45Speaker 2: if someone if I was in a writer's room, I
- 59:46Speaker 2: was like, what's something a crazy person could do to
- 59:48Speaker 2: show that they're crazy? And so instead they call the
- 59:51Speaker 2: White House every day and give them ideas. I'm like,
- 59:53Speaker 2: that's great.
- 59:53Speaker 1: Yes. And again, I get you know, call your elected officials.
- 59:57Speaker 1: That's a thing. This feels very different. For one thing,
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: it predates that this is like early 2010s. So we
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: weren't all in get on social media and tell people
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: to call your elected officials mode back then.
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: We weren't in resistance mode.
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: No, only Jesse was.
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: I've never understood the point of that. Like it was
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: it's always people telling me, like, call this Republican woman
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: in Alaska and tell her that you if you move
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: to Alaska, you wouldn't vote for her like or something like.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: Well, it's because if they post that on social media
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: and tell you to do something, they're also doing something.
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: True.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: Problem solved. We're all helping. So that's Lisa Becker's reason
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: for why she was targeted. There's two other neighbors there
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: with her. One thinks she was targeted because she complained
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: to the city council a bunch. So now the city
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: council has access to the thought machine.
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: And this is another serial government feedback giver. So that's
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: like you're already predisposed to thinking that they're up to something. Right.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: And then there's a third neighbor and people. His reason
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: for thinking he's being targeted by the government is because
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: he told his supervisor at his job that he thought
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: 9-11 might be an inside job.
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: He should have come and worked for us.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: No matter who's interviewing this man, someone should have been like, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: You think that is enough to make the government target
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: you with a top secret weapon? You think saying you
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: think 9-11 was an inside job to your supervisor at
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: work is enough to get you on the government's radar? Literally.
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: I didn't buy the Trump commemorative coin after his ear
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: got shot. Yeah, that must have. I should have gotten
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: in the commemorative coins after that happened, because there's no
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: way that there wasn't a bunch of copycats of the
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: fist in the air to fight, fight, fight. You know,
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: that's a coin where I mean, I don't even know
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: what happened with that one, but it's a coin worthy moment. Yeah.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: I wonder how much of that stuff in like 50 years,
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: if you still have it, people are going to be like, oh,
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: you love Hitler, huh?
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: Oh, I think it's going to totally be like, you know, well,
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: if we if we have 100 years from now. Yeah.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: You're right. It is Jesse that's interviewing these three. Because
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: I forgot about this moment. Jesse is in this living
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: room being hit with waves of mental instability. He does
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: the only responsible thing a person could do in that
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: moment and suggests they take a trip to one of
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: the Gwen Towers nearby.
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: He wants to find out if the Better Call Saul
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: disease is real.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: And all three of them, of course, are like, yeah, yeah,
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: we want to go. And so they go. And Jesse
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: is like, do any of you feel different? And it's like,
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: of course, they're going to say they feel different. really
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: feeding into everything that's happening here they're not gonna be
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: like no weirdly i feel better that's strange and they
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: all start complaining about symptoms i feel like this happens
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: every time they go near some weird installation also someone's
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: gonna be like we're getting some interference in our audio
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: which you're supposed to be like oh that's incriminating But
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: at the same time, it's clearly not enough interference to
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: stop them from getting really crisp audio of everything that's
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: happening in this moment.
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: And also you're next to a gigantic electricity machine like
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: it would stand to reason.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: Yeah. If I have the wrong wires just laying on
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: top of each other when I record, I get buzzing
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: in my fucking headphones.
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: You put your friggin cell phone too close to the mixer. Yeah.
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: Your friggin cell phone. Yeah, one guy was like, I
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: literally feel electricity like up to my legs. It's crazy.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: Yeah, that was the 9-11 guy. And so now they
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: move on. Jesse goes and talks to a guy named
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: Mark Phillips, former CIA operative who used to work for MKUltra.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: He laughs when Jesse asks about MKUltra ending, which I'm
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: with him there. I don't think we pumped, what, three,
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: four decades before millions and millions of dollars into MKUltra
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: and then just stopped when people found out. He says
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: it was privatized. I think it explains why you start
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: seeing cults and communes popping up all over the place
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: in the fucking 70s and 80s. I think they just
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: took MKUltra out into the field in the 70s and
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: 80s as opposed to it actually ending.
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: Well, I've heard Kurt Metzger told me that it turned
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: into something called MKMonarch, which I've never heard of before
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: and sounds very made up, but I don't know.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: Yeah, could be.
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: Who knows? He is a conspiracy theorist of note, so
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: maybe we should look into it.
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: I like Kurt Metzger. Did a show with him.
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: He's funny.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: Yeah, he's very funny. I had to fucking follow him first.
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: No, that's not fun.
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: I did all right. So, Mark Phillips, he laughs when
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: Jesse talks about MKUltra ending. I'm with him there. He
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: says it was privatized in that they're now mostly fucking
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: with microwaves. That's their main... But when I say now,
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: I mean when this episode aired. And he says there's
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: some trickery with the Gwen Towers. The lower portion of
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: them is for regular telecommunications. Phone companies use them and shit.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: But the top portion, that's still controlled by the government.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: And that is where they're pumping thoughts into people's heads.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: And goddammit, he interviews another person, Dr. Robert Duncan, who
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: claims he developed a lot of these weapons. And he
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: calls them Voice of God weapons. And when he says that,
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: I'm like... I believe again.
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: Yeah, that sounds like what they would call it.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: Yeah, that sounds like what the CIA would call that shit.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: What's interesting to me is this feels like a precursor
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: to the 5G conspiracy.
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: I think there's someone using voice of God weapons to
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: make me gay. I have all these urges.
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: Because the 5G conspiracy is the same thing. It's, well,
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: these microwaves work on this frequency. It's the same frequency
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: as the active denial system. So it could be flipped
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: on and weaponized at any second.
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: Again, if the government has an activatable depression grid, you
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: just got to give it up to them. I mean,
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: if they literally can turn on a machine that makes
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: everybody bummed out and subservient, like checkmate, you got us,
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: you know, feed me the bugs, put me in the pod.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: I would wonder how they would stop it from making
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: them depressed also. But you just got to assume they've
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: thought about that already.
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: Yeah, they've definitely got like a cream they could rub
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: on their head that's got lead in it or something
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: that blocks the whatever. Yeah.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: So who knows? Maybe we'll repost some of the 5G
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: episodes we've done before.
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: There's only five G's I want to hear about. And
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: they're in the band NWA.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: OK, so I think we did it. I think we
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: made it all the way through conspiracy theory with Jesse Ventura.
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: There's only one last quest. We got to get him
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: on the show.
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: Yeah, that would be I'd be really interested to just
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: hear him candidly talk about some of this stuff because
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: the show is so edited.
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: You know, there's a bit of music and a little
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: sting and a camera thing. twist and a transition effect
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: it's it's kind of like it's tv it's like you
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: know there's something stupid happens every six seconds so you
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: don't get bored he's also.
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: Got a book out there that i just happened to
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: see when i was pulling up these episodes to watch
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: it's called something like the 60 documents the government doesn't
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: want you to read i'd be interested to Give that
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: a fucking quick read.
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I checked that out. That sounds pretty good.
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: Yeah. But until we do all that, we have reached
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: the end of Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura. Connor, thank
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: you so much for doing the pod, as always. What
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: do we have to plug before we get out of here?

- 1:07:46Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: All the gasoline I spend driving to the South Bay
