- 0:59Speaker 2: select your vehicle. Two, create your offer. Three, schedule that delivery.
- 1:03Speaker 2: And on top of all this, Gateway GMC offers complimentary
- 1:07Speaker 2: car washes for life. So when you want a dealer
- 1:10Speaker 2: who has it all, Gateway's got it. You can find
- 1:13Speaker 2: them online at gatewaygmc.com or shop in person at LBJ
- 1:17Speaker 2: and Jupiter. GMC, we are professional grade. And welcome inside
- 1:24Speaker 2: the Coppola Studios for episode 343 of The Mom Game.
- 1:28Speaker 2: I'm Emily Jones. She is Julie Dobbs. Julie, how are you? Oh, wait.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Right fast. One more little gateway note. So this is
- 1:37Speaker 2: how you know you have a great dealer. And I'm
- 1:38Speaker 2: talking about a car dealer right here. Not just a dealer.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Car dealer. So my niece has to get a new car.
- 1:46Speaker 2: And so I... Hers has 170,000 miles on it. Oh, nice.
- 1:50Speaker 2: And it's not cooperating. And so what did I do?
- 1:53Speaker 3: Called.
- 1:54Speaker 2: No, I didn't call. Just shoot a text. Shot a
- 1:57Speaker 2: text to my boy Pope over there. Copied Jordan and
- 2:01Speaker 2: her husband Carter on it and said, here's the deal.
- 2:04Speaker 2: This is a young married couple. They are on a
- 2:06Speaker 2: tight budget. They need a reliable used car. What you got?
- 2:11Speaker 2: And they are in the process right now. Awesome. Taking
- 2:14Speaker 2: care of some stuff.
- 2:15Speaker 3: Great.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Great. Anyway. It's all about that simplicity. Well, it's the
- 2:18Speaker 2: simplicity and it's the fact that I know that I
- 2:20Speaker 2: trust them and that I know that they are not
- 2:23Speaker 2: going to get taken advantage of.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Right.
- 2:25Speaker 2: They will get a fair, honest deal. Hopefully it will
- 2:28Speaker 2: work out. You never know. But I just know that
- 2:31Speaker 2: if nothing else, they will have an option with Gateway
- 2:34Speaker 2: and they don't have to worry that they're getting... Taking
- 2:37Speaker 2: advantage of it. So thanks to Gateway.
- 2:38Speaker 3: That is what you did also for Kelly.
- 2:40Speaker 2: It is.
- 2:41Speaker 3: And then he bought the truck from Pope, and we
- 2:43Speaker 3: bought it on Halloween. So we're coming up on a year.
- 2:45Speaker 2: How about that?
- 2:46Speaker 3: I remember, because we were rushing back in time, trying
- 2:48Speaker 3: to quickly buy a truck to get home in time
- 2:50Speaker 3: for trick-or-treating.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Trick-or-treating. Okay. Well, we're enjoying, once again, Coppola Shimmer, our favorite.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Because especially in the warm weather, but it's going to
- 2:59Speaker 2: start getting cold. We're going to have to start breaking
- 3:00Speaker 2: that red out behind you, some of that. I hope
- 3:02Speaker 2: we do have some in-between. No, we need to look
- 3:05Speaker 2: into that. Like get a little, are you talking about
- 3:08Speaker 2: like a rosé or like a Pinot Noir? No, the
- 3:10Speaker 2: weather in between. Oh, way more concerned about the wine. Okay.
- 3:16Speaker 3: But I love a good in-between wine as well.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Okay. Because I thought you were talking about like not
- 3:20Speaker 2: so heavy as a cab, but maybe we need like
- 3:22Speaker 2: a rosé or a Pinot Noir.
- 3:24Speaker 3: Well, that's actually my wine of choice.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Okay. Rosé? For that reason. Okay. Because it's kind of
- 3:28Speaker 2: in between. I love a dry rosé, really dry rosé. Okay. Okay.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Good to know. Yes. I don't like sweet rosé. I
- 3:33Speaker 2: don't either. But anyway, whatever it is.
- 3:35Speaker 3: We should look into that.
- 3:36Speaker 2: We should look into it.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Because I do hope that we can have some in-between
- 3:40Speaker 3: wine that coincides with in-between weather.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Okay.
- 3:43Speaker 3: I don't want it to get super cold all of
- 3:45Speaker 3: a sudden.
- 3:46Speaker 2: I know. I don't think it's going to, but I
- 3:47Speaker 2: do think it's going to rain balls. A lot.
- 3:49Speaker 3: I don't wait.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Really? So excited. I just wish they weren't already like, flood, watch.
- 3:54Speaker 2: I know.
- 3:55Speaker 3: I don't want a flood.
- 3:56Speaker 2: I know. We need in-between flooding.
- 3:57Speaker 3: We need in-between. We need in-between weather.
- 3:59Speaker 2: We need in-between drought. Wine.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Um no drought drought flood how about.
- 4:03Speaker 2: For sure some also a friendly reminder that in to
- 4:07Speaker 2: enjoy coppola you must be 21 or older and you
- 4:11Speaker 2: must drink responsibly cheers cheers i need this today.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Okay why do you need it today we say this
- 4:19Speaker 3: every show but today i'm putting it out there before
- 4:21Speaker 3: you do usually it's me I really need it today.
- 4:27Speaker 3: Mostly just because I really miss doing my hair.
- 4:31Speaker 2: I know. And it looks really pretty. And look at
- 4:34Speaker 2: your nails. I did get my nails done. My public
- 4:36Speaker 2: shaming of your nails.
- 4:38Speaker 3: It worked.
- 4:38Speaker 2: It worked. Okay. I mean, they were so bad. Like,
- 4:42Speaker 2: because I had half gel.
- 4:43Speaker 3: And, well, I guess after you public shamed me, I
- 4:46Speaker 3: was like, well, at least I'll try to paint over it.
- 4:48Speaker 3: But that looked really bad, too.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Yeah. You did a regular paint job over half gel? Yes. Oh,
- 4:53Speaker 2: God bless you, Julie.
- 4:54Speaker 3: It was like similar color. So I just thought like
- 4:57Speaker 3: at least from afar, maybe it looked like.
- 5:00Speaker 2: It was so bad.
- 5:01Speaker 3: Okay.
- 5:03Speaker 2: But I finally made it in Sunday. And the lady.
- 5:07Speaker 3: So I'm close. I have one week from Thursday.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Okay. With this.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Um, and so it's getting better. And so I was
- 5:13Speaker 3: able to like do this and she was really gentle
- 5:16Speaker 3: with my hand. Uh, but I did dazzle dry, so
- 5:19Speaker 3: I don't.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Know how long it's going to last. I don't even
- 5:21Speaker 2: know what that means.
- 5:22Speaker 3: Um, well, I don't want to always do gel cause
- 5:25Speaker 3: it makes your nails really thin.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Yeah. I always do it on my toes, but not
- 5:27Speaker 2: on my fingers.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Toes. It's like constant. I don't ever do just regular
- 5:32Speaker 2: polish on my toes.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Oh, see, I do regular and it stays a long time.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Really? Yeah. Maybe I should try. Yeah.
- 5:37Speaker 3: I don't need to do gel on my toes.
- 5:38Speaker 2: But this lasts, I mean like my, it will last
- 5:41Speaker 2: like A month. Your gel? Yes. So does my regular.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Does it? On my toes.
- 5:45Speaker 3: My feet aren't doing much.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Okay. I don't know. Even when they are, they're protected
- 5:51Speaker 2: in little socks and shoes. Well, sandals and stuff. I
- 5:55Speaker 2: don't know. I'm rough. I'm clumsy and rough, and I
- 5:59Speaker 2: bump into stuff, and I don't know.
- 6:01Speaker 3: It's just much better than your hands. Your hands are
- 6:04Speaker 3: always doing stuff.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Yeah. Hands, regular polish lasts like 36 hours.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Yeah, so just that and then just kids stuff. Like,
- 6:16Speaker 2: they're fine, but I'm just trying to figure out their lives. Yeah,
- 6:21Speaker 2: we have a ketchup sesh coming. Yeah, we have a
- 6:24Speaker 2: ketchup sesh. I will talk about it at the proper time.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Our home-based ketchup brought to us by our friends at
- 6:29Speaker 2: American Home Shield.
- 6:31Speaker 3: You know what nobody warns you about as an adult?
- 6:33Speaker 3: How frustrating it is when your AC stops working.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Or when your refrigerator stops being cold or when your
- 6:40Speaker 2: pipes start leaking.
- 6:41Speaker 3: Exactly, which is why American Home Shield makes a lot
- 6:44Speaker 3: of sense for homeowners.
- 6:45Speaker 2: An AHS home warranty can help protect your wallet from
- 6:49Speaker 2: pricey breakdowns on even your oldest appliances and systems, like
- 6:54Speaker 2: your AC and plumbing. If they can't repair the covered part,
- 6:57Speaker 2: they will replace it.
- 6:59Speaker 3: And honestly, before this, I didn't really understand the difference
- 7:01Speaker 3: between homeowners insurance and a home warranty. Homeowners insurance covers
- 7:06Speaker 3: what might happen, like storm damage. A home warranty covers
- 7:10Speaker 3: what will happen, like normal wear and tear.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Same, Julie. Totally different things.
- 7:16Speaker 3: One thing I really like is that you can get
- 7:17Speaker 3: real-time repair help over a live video call to troubleshoot
- 7:21Speaker 3: home issues at no extra cost. It's a benefit to
- 7:24Speaker 3: select AHS plans.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Which would have saved me from approximately 95 unnecessary panic attacks.
- 7:31Speaker 3: And that's on a good day for you, Emily. Help
- 7:34Speaker 3: protect your wallet from pricey breakdowns.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Check out American Home Shield and get 20% off any
- 7:40Speaker 2: home warranty plan at ahs.com slash themomgame. And you can
- 7:45Speaker 2: see promo details there as well. See ahs.com slash contracts
- 7:49Speaker 2: for coverage details, including service fees, limitations, and exclusions. Okay,
- 7:54Speaker 2: so what are you trying to figure out about your
- 7:56Speaker 2: home-based catch-up? Because it's stuff going on at home. Okay,
- 8:00Speaker 2: tell me. They're good. Fifth grade is kind of hard.
- 8:06Speaker 3: And the teachers in fifth grade, which we've been warned about,
- 8:09Speaker 3: are so different from the teachers in the younger grades
- 8:12Speaker 3: at our school. They're trying to get them ready for
- 8:15Speaker 3: middle school in real life. And it's pretty cushy leading
- 8:18Speaker 3: up to it. Fourth grade got hard. I mean, it
- 8:20Speaker 3: does gradually get harder, but.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Oh my gosh. I feel like, yeah. Elementary school for
- 8:23Speaker 2: my kids was like, I mean, the most nurturing environment ever,
- 8:29Speaker 2: which was fantastic. Oh yeah. So ours is more sixth grade.
- 8:32Speaker 2: I feel like it's more that transition. Okay.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Our, our school used to go through six, but as
- 8:38Speaker 3: of three or so years ago, it's fifth is now
- 8:40Speaker 3: the oldest.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Okay.
- 8:42Speaker 3: And so they just don't, It's more on the kids
- 8:46Speaker 3: to like get their work done. If you're missing something,
- 8:49Speaker 3: you have to go ask the teacher what you're missing
- 8:51Speaker 3: and figure out how to turn it in. And they
- 8:54Speaker 3: don't really want the parents like always bugging them.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Which is good. It is good.
- 8:59Speaker 3: But the hard part is a parent is not knowing
- 9:03Speaker 3: what's going on. And so like you see the grades
- 9:06Speaker 3: and like Ryder, for example, had three zeros. And I
- 9:09Speaker 3: asked him what these are for. And he's like, I
- 9:11Speaker 3: turned them in. She just hasn't recorded the grade yet
- 9:14Speaker 3: for like two weeks. That's what he was saying. So
- 9:17Speaker 3: I'm like, something's got to give here. Do I bug
- 9:19Speaker 3: the teacher? Do I ask him to keep bugging her?
- 9:22Speaker 3: And then turns out, like, I don't, there's one thing
- 9:26Speaker 3: that's missing. Some of it was from when he was
- 9:29Speaker 3: out of school with the impetigo. And then one of
- 9:33Speaker 3: them was from when he came back and was still
- 9:35Speaker 3: a little bit lost, I guess, and didn't do it.
- 9:37Speaker 3: So there's also something he keeps saying he has to
- 9:40Speaker 3: be at school 30 minutes early for keyboarding and it's
- 9:42Speaker 3: a grade.
- 9:42Speaker 2: And I'm like, what are you talking about?
- 9:43Speaker 3: They can't require you to be there 30 minutes early
- 9:46Speaker 3: and not tell us, which I found out because one
- 9:48Speaker 3: of my other friends, she is a hands-on mom, my
- 9:50Speaker 3: friend from Spain, they do things different there. And she
- 9:53Speaker 3: just does not give an F if it's, if she's
- 9:55Speaker 3: not supposed to. She got herself a meeting with all
- 9:57Speaker 3: three of the fifth grade teachers and so I was
- 10:00Speaker 3: like mooching off of her information okay that's good and
- 10:03Speaker 3: so she told me about the keyboarding thing but I
- 10:05Speaker 3: think it's just like a it's a probably a common
- 10:09Speaker 3: theme with parents it's like how often do you get
- 10:12Speaker 3: involved yeah and bug the teachers you want them to
- 10:16Speaker 3: do their own thing you want them to learn But
- 10:18Speaker 3: you also kind of need to know what they're supposed
- 10:21Speaker 3: to do so you can make sure they're doing it.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Right.
- 10:22Speaker 3: And I think that's where I'm, like, a little bit stuck.
- 10:26Speaker 3: And then Anna is– I'm in the middle of trying
- 10:28Speaker 3: to figure out if she has dyslexia. And I'm pretty
- 10:33Speaker 3: sure she has ADHD, but I– admittedly like didn't have
- 10:37Speaker 3: the time energy to just do the whole thing that
- 10:41Speaker 3: I had already done with Ryder. So I was like
- 10:43Speaker 3: really hoping, I told Kelly this morning, I was like,
- 10:45Speaker 3: I don't think she's going to be cruise control like
- 10:46Speaker 3: we were hoping. I was really hoping she would be
- 10:50Speaker 3: cruise control and bless her heart. She's like doing great
- 10:52Speaker 3: in her, but math has been really hard for her.
- 10:55Speaker 3: So I already got her a math tutor for this year. Um, and, and, uh, just,
- 11:00Speaker 3: I think she definitely has ADHD unless all kids just
- 11:03Speaker 3: are the slowest person ever to do anything ever. I
- 11:06Speaker 3: don't know, but like getting out the door to go
- 11:08Speaker 3: to school in the morning. And now that Ryder thinks
- 11:10Speaker 3: he has this fake keyboarding thing, 30 minutes early, like
- 11:12Speaker 3: every morning is just a, cause she doesn't, she's as
- 11:15Speaker 3: slow as molasses. Like, and she gets distracted by every
- 11:18Speaker 3: little thing she sees on the way out the door
- 11:20Speaker 3: and Ryder's freaking out. And then it just is like,
- 11:23Speaker 3: that's what we're currently trying to work through. Um, so
- 11:26Speaker 3: I do think I need to do all the testing
- 11:28Speaker 3: for her.
- 11:29Speaker 2: I need to figure out if.
- 11:29Speaker 3: She's dyslexic and ADHD, hopefully not both. Um, And she's
- 11:34Speaker 3: also GT, which is its own set of challenges.
- 11:40Speaker 2: So I didn't even know they do GT anymore. Yes.
- 11:43Speaker 1: I guess.
- 11:44Speaker 3: And Ryder got in this year for that, too, which
- 11:47Speaker 3: has really been a blessing. It's really good, but it's
- 11:51Speaker 3: also like.
- 11:53Speaker 2: They just think differently. And it's great. And they need
- 11:55Speaker 2: to be challenged. And when they're not, it's not. Good.
- 12:00Speaker 2: So it's good and bad. It's not a braggy thing
- 12:03Speaker 2: at all.
- 12:03Speaker 3: I'm just working that in because if she is GT
- 12:06Speaker 3: and dyslexic, that's a very interesting and hard combination. If
- 12:10Speaker 3: everything comes easy to you, but then you're dyslexic and
- 12:13Speaker 3: you're seeing things backwards, it is even more frustrating.
- 12:18Speaker 2: You're like a perfectionist too. Yeah. GT is gifted and talented. Yeah.
- 12:23Speaker 2: For those that don't know. I didn't even know they
- 12:24Speaker 2: called it that anymore. That was what we had when
- 12:27Speaker 2: I was growing up. Yeah. Same.
- 12:28Speaker 3: I was never it, but that's what it is.
- 12:34Speaker 2: You were. I was. I mean, it's plain view.
- 12:37Speaker 3: But you still probably had to take the same test
- 12:39Speaker 3: as everyone.
- 12:39Speaker 2: The pool's a lot smaller there. Yeah. I mean, I'm
- 12:45Speaker 2: not putting too much stock in that. Yeah. Yeah.
- 12:48Speaker 3: It's like a weird test. It's not like, are you
- 12:51Speaker 3: really smart? It's like, do you think about things in
- 12:54Speaker 3: this out of the box way?
- 12:55Speaker 2: Right. I'm sure. I don't know if my kids were
- 12:58Speaker 2: in it or are in it or. I feel like.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Now they're like national. They do like National Honor Society
- 13:03Speaker 2: or National Junior Honor Society and National Honor Society. And
- 13:06Speaker 2: so that's grades based. That's grades and community service, I
- 13:09Speaker 2: feel like. I don't know. That's good.
- 13:11Speaker 3: Yeah. And I'm jealous that your kids, it seems like no,
- 13:15Speaker 3: or like, have you ever tested them for anything?
- 13:17Speaker 2: Are they just clean slate? No, I haven't. I mean.
- 13:23Speaker 2: I'm just jealous. I gave him a COVID test once. No,
- 13:27Speaker 2: I'm just kidding. No, we haven't. We haven't.
- 13:29Speaker 3: Well, if they're fine, you don't really need to.
- 13:31Speaker 2: No, I mean. I just, I feel like everyone in my,
- 13:35Speaker 2: my generation. Fuck off. My generation. Jesus Christ, you're like
- 13:41Speaker 2: eight years younger than me. I can take it.
- 13:45Speaker 3: Everyone in my generation is like overanalyzing our kids. And
- 13:48Speaker 3: maybe back when you were younger.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Back in the 1900s. Yeah, maybe y'all just didn't. Maybe
- 14:02Speaker 2: the tests hadn't come out yet. Yeah, he would come
- 14:05Speaker 2: home and struggle with his. math and I'd be like,
- 14:07Speaker 2: just rub some dirt on it, kid. You're going to
- 14:09Speaker 2: be just fine. Yeah. Yeah. But they're fine. They're fine.
- 14:14Speaker 2: They're fine. Okay. And this is probably not a great thing.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Our parenting philosophy, literally, I think from the moment they
- 14:22Speaker 2: were born is like, let's just ride this out. Let's just,
- 14:26Speaker 2: if it's not broke, don't fix it. Let's just, we've
- 14:29Speaker 2: done that with, you know, a lot of people are like,
- 14:30Speaker 2: are y'all going to go to private school? And we're like,
- 14:33Speaker 2: we're great in public school. TA takeover. Who cares? Like it's,
- 14:37Speaker 2: everything's great. So I'm like, we're just like, we're just
- 14:40Speaker 2: going to ride this thing out until something smacks us
- 14:44Speaker 2: directly in the face. Yeah. And which it will, whether
- 14:47Speaker 2: it's having to do with school or learning or social
- 14:50Speaker 2: shit or other kids, whatever it's, it's gonna, we're going to,
- 14:54Speaker 2: we're going to take one right between the eyes. I
- 14:56Speaker 2: have zero doubt, but so far they've been school wise.
- 14:59Speaker 2: They've been, they've been fine. I mean, you know, Henry
- 15:01Speaker 2: had that point. where he went and saw a therapist
- 15:05Speaker 2: for a while for dealing with like some anxiety. And
- 15:07Speaker 2: he's still, you know, but now he knows he's so,
- 15:09Speaker 2: I'm so proud of him. Like he knows how to
- 15:11Speaker 2: talk his way through it. Basically. He'll be like, Oh,
- 15:13Speaker 2: I'm feeling anxious. And you know, he'll take some deep
- 15:16Speaker 2: breaths and like, you know, you're okay. And he's like,
- 15:18Speaker 2: I think he's just learned that like, this is part
- 15:19Speaker 2: of his personality, just having being God bless him somewhat
- 15:23Speaker 2: like his mom. that he's just going to have to
- 15:27Speaker 2: find ways to cope through it. So, so far, so good.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Like I said, I mean, it's like we're going to
- 15:31Speaker 2: take one right between the eyes at some point. Yeah.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Probably sooner rather than later. Well, and they're all going
- 15:36Speaker 2: to be fine. Yeah, they're all going to be fine.
- 15:38Speaker 2: They're all going to be fine. And then here's the deal.
- 15:39Speaker 2: This is what I was going to tell you with
- 15:41Speaker 2: fifth and third grade, right? Yeah. Like, you want to
- 15:44Speaker 2: stay on top of things. You want to do– obviously,
- 15:46Speaker 2: you want them to pass their grade, like advance. Yes.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Other than that, like I'm realizing it's just– let those,
- 15:55Speaker 2: let those grades ride. Like let those, this time ride
- 15:58Speaker 2: and figure things out. You know, now I'm kind of
- 16:01Speaker 2: on Henry because I'm like, now you're a freshman, like
- 16:03Speaker 2: shit really starts to matter. But like, even with Hattie,
- 16:06Speaker 2: I've been like, I want her to take this like honors,
- 16:09Speaker 2: the most advanced math. And she was like, mom, I don't,
- 16:11Speaker 2: I'm not good at math. Like, why are you making
- 16:13Speaker 2: me do this? And then I'm like, why am I?
- 16:15Speaker 2: So you're right. No, you don't have to, if you,
- 16:17Speaker 2: you know what you're, you know what you, and they
- 16:19Speaker 2: kind of gauged to see where they would be. And
- 16:21Speaker 2: she would, it would have been a constant struggle for.
- 16:24Speaker 2: And I want her to, I want to push her,
- 16:25Speaker 2: but I'm like, is the seventh grade really the time
- 16:28Speaker 2: to be like, we're really going to dig in and
- 16:31Speaker 2: dive into these algorithms and numbers and whatever. It's just,
- 16:35Speaker 2: I don't know. I feel like maybe I'm seeing that
- 16:39Speaker 2: now the older, I wish I would have been a
- 16:41Speaker 2: little less concerned about The grades. Yes, you need to
- 16:46Speaker 2: learn about, you know. Like just the habits. How she's
- 16:50Speaker 2: learning and all that kind of stuff. But yeah, I mean,
- 16:53Speaker 2: give your kids and yourself some grace in elementary school.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Like it's going to be okay. I know. And that's
- 16:59Speaker 2: kind of what the teachers say. If they get C's
- 17:01Speaker 2: or B's or whatever. You're like, let them figure it
- 17:02Speaker 2: out now when it doesn't matter. Exactly. But at the
- 17:05Speaker 2: same time, like you got to learn how to. make
- 17:08Speaker 2: sure you don't have zeros. Absolutely. And turn in stuff
- 17:11Speaker 2: like those are the things that matter. Yeah. And so, yeah.
- 17:13Speaker 2: But I mean, I, I, I just feel like I,
- 17:15Speaker 2: I probably put too much of an emphasis on that
- 17:18Speaker 2: early on. And now it's just like, I'm not really concerned,
- 17:21Speaker 2: but with Henry, I am, I'm like, you, you realize
- 17:24Speaker 2: like this stuff now it's all going toward your GPA.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Like you are in high school now, like all that
- 17:29Speaker 2: kind of stuff. It really matters. So now it, It
- 17:31Speaker 2: really does matter.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:32Speaker 2: But I feel you. I'm sorry. Oh, it's fine. Well,
- 17:35Speaker 2: I know. You know, you get through one, then there's
- 17:37Speaker 2: the next, and then the next. I know. I know. Well,
- 17:39Speaker 2: keep us posted on sweet Anna. I will. She's great.
- 17:42Speaker 2: She's fine. But if she's struggling, I need to figure
- 17:46Speaker 2: out how to help her. Yeah, you just don't want
- 17:48Speaker 2: it to be like a constant struggle for her. She
- 17:50Speaker 2: told me she wanted to go to play therapy. So
- 17:52Speaker 2: now I'm like, okay. She want to go to what?
- 17:54Speaker 3: Play therapy.
- 17:55Speaker 2: Oh, what's that?
- 17:56Speaker 3: It's therapy, but it's like they play. Ryder did it
- 17:59Speaker 3: for a few years and every once in a while
- 18:01Speaker 3: she would go with him just cause so they could
- 18:03Speaker 3: work on their sibling stuff.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Okay.
- 18:05Speaker 3: Um, and now she's saying she wants it. So I'm like, okay,
- 18:07Speaker 3: girlfriend's actually telling me to take her to therapy. So
- 18:10Speaker 3: I guess I need to, you know, so I know,
- 18:14Speaker 3: I know more stuff on my list.
- 18:16Speaker 2: I know, I know, but we'll, we'll figure it all out. Um, okay.
- 18:20Speaker 2: You want to do a little, do you have.
- 18:21Speaker 3: Anything to catch up about?
- 18:23Speaker 2: Not really. Well, I will, I'll have some news in
- 18:26Speaker 2: the next week or two. Um, Yeah. Some job news.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Nothing will change with the mom game. But yeah, I
- 18:37Speaker 2: think I have another opportunity that I'm excited about. It's
- 18:42Speaker 2: not television related. It's not baseball related, but it is
- 18:48Speaker 2: insurance related, which is what I've been doing for the
- 18:50Speaker 2: last four years. So not quite ready. It's not official official,
- 18:54Speaker 2: but I am having to go through processes like uploading
- 18:58Speaker 2: your degree or your transcript. Oh, my gosh. Don't have
- 19:01Speaker 2: any idea where my degree is. I wouldn't either. I
- 19:03Speaker 2: think it's at my dad's– my dad's, like, in their barn,
- 19:05Speaker 2: which is probably ruined. So I had to order a transcript. Oh,
- 19:08Speaker 2: my gosh. From tech. And then, like, asking for just stuff.
- 19:13Speaker 2: I'm like, I haven't done this in a really long time. Yeah.
- 19:16Speaker 3: That's probably very interesting.
- 19:18Speaker 2: It's very– it's different. It's different, but, um, I'm excited
- 19:21Speaker 2: about it. I will fill, fill you and everyone else in, uh,
- 19:25Speaker 2: in a week or two. Um, yeah, that's about it.
- 19:28Speaker 3: We did have a, a couple of fun events. Oh yeah.
- 19:32Speaker 2: Yeah. No, we can talk about them here. I'm going
- 19:33Speaker 2: to get my gift.
- 19:34Speaker 3: So, um, it is breast cancer awareness month.
- 19:38Speaker 2: No, it's not.
- 19:38Speaker 3: It will be in October, which is coming very soon. Well,
- 19:40Speaker 3: by the time the show airs, it will be OK,
- 19:42Speaker 3: I knew we were close. So we had pause on that.
- 19:47Speaker 2: We had us.
- 19:49Speaker 3: We emceed an event last week for Susan G. Komen
- 19:54Speaker 3: out at Vaccaro Golf Club. It was really fun. It
- 19:56Speaker 3: was a beautiful event. And they raised 160,000 plus dollars. Um, and,
- 20:03Speaker 3: and so that was fun to be a part of. And, um,
- 20:06Speaker 3: there was another Susan G Komen event just this past
- 20:09Speaker 3: weekend out at the Kendra Scott store in.
- 20:12Speaker 2: South Lake that, uh, we were happy to help.
- 20:15Speaker 3: Kind of launch and be a part of as well
- 20:17Speaker 3: with our friend joy at Susan G Komen. And, um,
- 20:23Speaker 3: At Kendra Scott, you weren't able to make it.
- 20:26Speaker 2: No.
- 20:27Speaker 3: We were each able to pick out some jewelry from
- 20:31Speaker 3: the Kendra Scott color bar.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Okay.
- 20:33Speaker 3: So they said, do you want to just pick out Emily's?
- 20:37Speaker 3: You know what she would want, right?
- 20:38Speaker 2: And I was like, yeah. Oh, here we go. Here
- 20:41Speaker 2: we go.
- 20:44Speaker 3: So I got to make you some earrings from the
- 20:46Speaker 3: Kendra Scott color bar.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Okay.
- 20:49Speaker 2: They're so lovely there at Kendra Scott.
- 20:51Speaker 3: Let's see.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Oh, these are cute. They're the exact same ones that
- 20:56Speaker 2: I got. Oh, my gosh.
- 20:57Speaker 3: I thought you needed a little bit of me in
- 20:59Speaker 3: your life.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Oh, that is very sweet. They're these cute little hearts. Yeah.
- 21:04Speaker 2: They're very sweet.
- 21:04Speaker 3: They're simple, understated.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Yes.
- 21:06Speaker 3: But they're a heart.
- 21:07Speaker 2: They are.
- 21:08Speaker 3: I didn't know if you would ever pick a heart.
- 21:09Speaker 2: It means you love me.
- 21:10Speaker 3: It does mean I love you.
- 21:12Speaker 2: I love them for Hattie. I knew it. I knew it.
- 21:18Speaker 2: She is going to love these.
- 21:20Speaker 3: I was like, Emily needs to wear some hearts around.
- 21:22Speaker 2: I don't.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Okay.
- 21:23Speaker 2: It will only be good. I have one pair of
- 21:25Speaker 2: heart earrings that I will wear. And they're the ones
- 21:27Speaker 2: that Corey Green gave us. And you know why? Because
- 21:29Speaker 2: they're like, they're like different. They're like not traditional hearts. Right.
- 21:34Speaker 2: They're different. But I do love these. Look, I'm wearing
- 21:39Speaker 2: Kendra Scott today. You are.
- 21:40Speaker 3: And it's kind of the same.
- 21:41Speaker 2: It's the same premise. I just am not. I don't
- 21:45Speaker 2: have a heart. Just don't. Hearts and me don't get along.
- 21:50Speaker 2: That's why I got you a heart. Because you think
- 21:52Speaker 2: I need two of them. I thought you needed a heart.
- 21:54Speaker 2: That's very sweet, Julie.
- 21:55Speaker 3: And I want you to wear them.
- 21:56Speaker 2: It's very sweet. And think about me. I will wear them.
- 21:59Speaker 3: And having a heart.
- 22:00Speaker 2: When I see you, I will wear them. No. They
- 22:06Speaker 2: are very cute. We all know. I have a very
- 22:09Speaker 2: interesting style. Yeah, I'm trying to help you out. And
- 22:11Speaker 2: it's called Plane. But that is very sweet. And they
- 22:17Speaker 2: are lovely. They are lovely. That was very kind, Julie. Okay.
- 22:21Speaker 2: It was very sweet. Well, I just thought you could
- 22:23Speaker 2: use a little bit of me. I know. And love.
- 22:25Speaker 2: In your ears. And heart. Yeah. And Julie in my ears.
- 22:28Speaker 2: I knew it. I knew it. Very sweet. I knew
- 22:30Speaker 2: you'd give me that. Very sweet. Okay. I mean, I
- 22:32Speaker 2: love Kimmy Scott. Like, look at me. You do love
- 22:35Speaker 2: Kimmy Scott. I'm wearing them like unprompted.
- 22:37Speaker 3: Well, I was kind of like, just hoops. I know
- 22:40Speaker 3: she's got those. It was like maybe some black.
- 22:43Speaker 2: I know.
- 22:44Speaker 3: But it was busy and the lady was kind of like,
- 22:46Speaker 3: so I was like, just make the same ones as me.
- 22:48Speaker 3: And I thought maybe.
- 22:48Speaker 2: You know, I know. I just, I have a very
- 22:52Speaker 2: unique plain style. I know.
- 22:54Speaker 1: I know.
- 22:56Speaker 2: I'm wearing.
- 22:57Speaker 3: But it always looks great.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Today I'm wearing a white top. I like that necklace. Okay.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Okay.
- 23:00Speaker 2: My mother-in-law gave this to me. I would have never
- 23:03Speaker 2: in a million years purchased this. Okay. And this bracelet. Yeah.
- 23:07Speaker 2: So she, Nettie, my mother-in-law, is the best gift giver
- 23:10Speaker 2: because she will buy me stuff that I would never
- 23:13Speaker 2: buy for myself. Yeah. But that I feel like, okay,
- 23:15Speaker 2: if Nettie bought this, she's got really good style and I,
- 23:19Speaker 2: like I want to be. That's exactly what I just did. Yes.
- 23:23Speaker 2: I'm not married to your son. Okay. Let's keep this straight.
- 23:28Speaker 2: um so yeah so today I'm wearing a necklace and
- 23:31Speaker 2: a bracelet like this is a lot for me and
- 23:34Speaker 2: earrings I also battled with this like is this neckline
- 23:37Speaker 2: right for this necklace like these are the things I
- 23:39Speaker 2: think about I know when I put on jewelry like
- 23:43Speaker 2: it I don't know it's god bless it's hard it
- 23:48Speaker 2: is I got dressed and then as I left I
- 23:50Speaker 2: was like.
- 23:50Speaker 3: These fabrics don't go together like I was like green
- 23:53Speaker 3: and black that'll be fine it's fine but I think
- 23:55Speaker 3: you I think the.
- 23:56Speaker 2: Fabrics matter I know. It's too much. It's too much.
- 23:59Speaker 2: It's too much.
- 24:01Speaker 3: I need to maybe just go to black and white.
- 24:03Speaker 2: Thank you. Maybe it's easier. No, it's not. You look
- 24:06Speaker 2: pretty in colors. Well, thanks. Yeah, you do. Like hot pink.
- 24:10Speaker 2: Can you imagine being hot pink? Yes, I think you'd
- 24:11Speaker 2: look great.
- 24:13Speaker 3: I saw Jasmine in red the other day in something
- 24:15Speaker 3: she posted, and it looked so good.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Really? Yes. Not that I'm surprised, Jasmine. Not that I'm surprised.
- 24:21Speaker 2: But red, usually with her hair color, you would think
- 24:23Speaker 2: you wouldn't wear red. I know. But she looked awesome
- 24:26Speaker 2: in it. She looked hot. I need to see it. Okay,
- 24:29Speaker 2: we need to get you some sports. Are you ready?
- 24:31Speaker 2: Sports courts brought to us by our friends at Texas Live.
- 24:34Speaker 2: And speaking of Texas Live, you can catch every Dallas
- 24:37Speaker 2: football game at Texas Live with more than 140 screens,
- 24:41Speaker 2: 22 bars, eight dining experiences, mechanical bull riding, my favorite
- 24:47Speaker 2: at the PBR nightclub, plus live music. Every night you
- 24:51Speaker 2: can visit TexasLive.com. No, excuse me. It's Texas-Live.com. to reserve
- 24:56Speaker 2: a table, watch the game on their 100-foot screen right
- 25:00Speaker 2: next to the stadium. So basically, if you're looking for
- 25:04Speaker 2: a party spot, whether it's watching games, riding bulls, anything
- 25:08Speaker 2: that is going on day or night, no matter what
- 25:11Speaker 2: day of the week it is, there is always a
- 25:13Speaker 2: party going on at Texas Live. Okay, you want to
- 25:18Speaker 2: start with the Cowboys? Yeah. Bless. Bless. It was a
- 25:23Speaker 2: great game. It looked like they won. Did they not?
- 25:25Speaker 2: They did not.
- 25:27Speaker 3: I left for the last few minutes because I figured.
- 25:29Speaker 2: Yeah. You got this under control. Yeah. It looked great. No,
- 25:32Speaker 2: they did not. But I will say it was. Actually,
- 25:34Speaker 2: I left for the last, what, 45 seconds? Or seven. Yeah.
- 25:39Speaker 2: Seven seconds.
- 25:39Speaker 3: I left for the last seven seconds.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:41Speaker 2: You're telling me that something happened? It did. Yeah. I
- 25:45Speaker 2: will say, though, dude, that was a highly entertaining game. Yeah.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Back and forth. You know. Yeah. Big plays, but it
- 25:54Speaker 2: sucks to be on the losing end of something like that.
- 25:55Speaker 3: Right, because you can do so much good.
- 25:57Speaker 2: I know. It would have been such a different feeling.
- 25:59Speaker 2: So many positives. Yeah.
- 26:01Speaker 3: Big plays.
- 26:02Speaker 2: Game of inches. Well, and what everybody's yapping about is
- 26:07Speaker 2: the fact that they had a chance to score a touchdown.
- 26:09Speaker 2: They were like first and goal from the two after
- 26:12Speaker 2: a pass interference call. And then they can't punch it in.
- 26:15Speaker 2: And on the third down play, Dak basically just threw
- 26:18Speaker 2: it away because he didn't see what he liked pre-snap.
- 26:21Speaker 2: And it just was, it just like, go fucking try
- 26:23Speaker 2: to win the game.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Right.
- 26:25Speaker 2: And so they basically settled for overtime. And then, you know,
- 26:30Speaker 2: you think that Baltimore's just going to run out the
- 26:32Speaker 2: clock and they're not. They, you know, Lamar Jackson just
- 26:38Speaker 2: blinged a pass right down the middle into soft ass
- 26:41Speaker 2: coverage and Their kicker nailed it. One big play. Yeah.
- 26:45Speaker 2: And a big kick. And a huge kick. 56 yards. Yeah.
- 26:48Speaker 3: And so it comes down to like a shoddy, you know,
- 26:52Speaker 3: like not being gutsy and being scared and all that.
- 26:55Speaker 3: And then the debates like, well, Dak is he's been
- 26:58Speaker 3: around long enough. He should have overwrite whatever the head
- 27:01Speaker 3: coach says at that point.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Yeah. Makes you kind of wonder like why.
- 27:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:04Speaker 2: Just say like, OK, that's cool. That's cool, coach. If
- 27:06Speaker 2: I'm going to do that. And then if you see like, OK, no,
- 27:10Speaker 2: George Pickens is going to the outside, not the inside. Right.
- 27:13Speaker 2: The read was on the inside. Yeah.
- 27:15Speaker 3: You call the audible.
- 27:16Speaker 2: You go. Yeah.
- 27:17Speaker 3: I'm gonna hammer it in there and he can run
- 27:20Speaker 3: and get it.
- 27:20Speaker 2: I know but running though does is scary because they
- 27:23Speaker 2: didn't i don't know if they i think that they
- 27:26Speaker 2: may not have had a time out so they could
- 27:27Speaker 2: have run out of time which that would have been
- 27:29Speaker 2: even worse because then you don't even have a chance
- 27:31Speaker 2: to tie the game right so it's almost like they
- 27:33Speaker 2: were in a they had to pass situation if i
- 27:35Speaker 2: remember correctly i don't know i didn't i didn't take
- 27:38Speaker 2: game notes um but anyway just super disappointing um you know,
- 27:43Speaker 2: a big difference between two and one and one and two.
- 27:45Speaker 2: How can you imagine that?
- 27:46Speaker 3: Like, cause they were in Brazil, that flight home and
- 27:49Speaker 3: travel and everybody's all pissed off. Did you see the poster?
- 27:52Speaker 3: And did you hear Dak talking about the picture of him? They,
- 27:56Speaker 3: I guess they had a bit, the big, like the
- 27:58Speaker 3: people in Brazil, whoever made it, it was like caricatures
- 28:02Speaker 3: of Lamar Jackson and Dak, like up, it was this
- 28:04Speaker 3: big giant poster. And they asked him after the game,
- 28:07Speaker 3: or maybe it was the day after, after he'd cooled down, like,
- 28:09Speaker 3: what'd you think of that?
- 28:10Speaker 2: And he was like, it was terrible.
- 28:12Speaker 3: He was like, it didn't look like me at all.
- 28:13Speaker 2: I did notice somebody had posted like that he was
- 28:16Speaker 2: laughing at it or something when he saw it.
- 28:18Speaker 3: Yeah, like it didn't. And he was like, it didn't
- 28:20Speaker 3: look like Lamar either. And I always like, I always
- 28:22Speaker 3: think about like, oh, there's some guy over in Brazil
- 28:25Speaker 3: that was like his one job.
- 28:26Speaker 2: And he felt so good about this big moment.
- 28:29Speaker 3: And then Dak himself is like, it was horrible. And
- 28:33Speaker 3: he apologized. Dak was like, I'm sorry, but it was bad.
- 28:36Speaker 3: You know, and so you want him to be real
- 28:38Speaker 3: and all that.
- 28:38Speaker 2: But I was like, oh. And then the field.
- 28:41Speaker 3: Conditions and everything else, what everyone was bitching about.
- 28:44Speaker 2: And I don't know.
- 28:45Speaker 3: Do we need to be going all the way to
- 28:46Speaker 3: Brazil to play a football game?
- 28:47Speaker 2: I don't know. During the regular season? During the regular season.
- 28:50Speaker 2: Throw a preseason game over there.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Yes.
- 28:52Speaker 2: They don't care in Brazil if it's preseason or regular season. No,
- 28:56Speaker 2: they don't. And they don't care if Dak plays or
- 28:58Speaker 2: Lamar plays. Like, if you want to throw your scrubs
- 29:00Speaker 2: out there. Yeah. I don't know. There's got to be
- 29:03Speaker 2: a better way.
- 29:04Speaker 3: It's a lot because the NFL schedule is so tight
- 29:06Speaker 3: anyways and so regimented.
- 29:09Speaker 2: Right. You feel like if you're playing internationally, you should
- 29:13Speaker 2: almost get a bye week the next week. That should
- 29:15Speaker 2: be where you're by. I mean, any normal human would
- 29:18Speaker 2: need some time to recover.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:20Speaker 2: Without playing football. Right. For sure. So. So they're one
- 29:24Speaker 2: and two and then they play.
- 29:26Speaker 3: Which is such a big difference.
- 29:27Speaker 1: I know.
- 29:28Speaker 2: It just feels so different. I know. But the rest
- 29:32Speaker 2: of the division isn't exactly lighting the world on fire.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:34Speaker 2: They have a couple like easier games, I think. Um,
- 29:37Speaker 2: I'm forgetting who they play.
- 29:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Same. Um, are you looking it up? Yeah. Um, Oh, uh,
- 29:45Speaker 2: the Texans. Oh, that's right.
- 29:46Speaker 3: They're in Houston.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Yep.
- 29:48Speaker 2: Um, at least I don't have to travel far, but still. Yeah.
- 29:50Speaker 2: The Texans are Owen three.
- 29:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:53Speaker 2: So we'll see.
- 29:54Speaker 3: Yeah. It is a close game.
- 29:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:55Speaker 3: Close game.
- 29:56Speaker 2: In proximity. Yes. Okay, college football stuff. A couple of
- 30:02Speaker 2: big ones over the weekend. Yeah. Texas pulls it out
- 30:06Speaker 2: against Tennessee. I was hoping it wouldn't. A little bit. Well,
- 30:09Speaker 2: it's hard for me. You know how I feel. I know.
- 30:12Speaker 2: But here's my deal. Like, they're obviously a very good
- 30:16Speaker 2: all-around football team. Very good. What are we doing with
- 30:20Speaker 2: these celebrations? Oh, I know. Like, the one guy, I mean,
- 30:24Speaker 2: five sacks. You're freaking lighting the world on fire. And
- 30:26Speaker 2: then you decide to pretend like you're pissing on the field.
- 30:30Speaker 2: Which is obviously going to get like a call. And
- 30:33Speaker 2: then the fact that the ref was like 15-yard unsupportive
- 30:37Speaker 2: line contact for simulating going to the restroom or something.
- 30:40Speaker 2: I know. Like, okay. Then did you see the other
- 30:43Speaker 2: guy who pretended like he wiped his balls and then
- 30:48Speaker 2: smelled it and passed out? What are we doing? Disgusting.
- 30:52Speaker 2: It's awful. Like, hey. Guys, you're good. Like, you are good.
- 30:56Speaker 2: You are the number one team in the country, and
- 30:58Speaker 2: you are legitimately good. Why are we doing... Why do
- 31:02Speaker 2: we have antics like this? Like, what are we doing?
- 31:04Speaker 3: I guess maybe that's because they are the number one
- 31:06Speaker 3: team in the country, and they think that they can
- 31:07Speaker 3: get away with stuff, and.
- 31:09Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 31:10Speaker 3: They're feeling a little too cocky. I don't know.
- 31:12Speaker 2: It's very odd. Like, I get dumb penalties or whatever, but, like,
- 31:16Speaker 2: these are premeditated. This... You... Somewhere, you sat... With your
- 31:22Speaker 2: friends or by yourself and thought, you know what I'm
- 31:24Speaker 2: going to do? I get five sacks. I'm going to
- 31:27Speaker 2: pretend like I'm whipping it out and taking a piss
- 31:29Speaker 2: on the field. Oh, yeah, you are. You know what
- 31:31Speaker 2: I'm going to do? I'm going to pretend like I
- 31:33Speaker 2: wipe my balls and smell it and pass out.
- 31:36Speaker 3: That's probably really what the conversation was. Like, I'll one-up you,
- 31:40Speaker 3: you know.
- 31:40Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 31:41Speaker 3: It's disgusting.
- 31:42Speaker 2: I think Texas needs to start having like a clearance house. Like, okay,
- 31:46Speaker 2: everybody tell me your ideas. What are we doing this
- 31:48Speaker 2: week if we celebrate? I'm going to tell you if
- 31:50Speaker 2: it's a yes or a no. Who in their right
- 31:53Speaker 2: mind thinks this is going to be a good one?
- 31:56Speaker 2: I don't know. It's just going to be great for
- 31:59Speaker 2: my teammates. No one else is going to notice. This
- 32:01Speaker 2: is just going to be fun for us. Go do
- 32:04Speaker 2: it in the locker room or something. I know. It's
- 32:06Speaker 2: also really gross, and I think that's what guys do.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Smell their balls and pass out? Maybe they don't pass out,
- 32:13Speaker 2: but I think that they probably do. Do you think they...
- 32:18Speaker 2: I disagree vehemently. You think guys are just taking a
- 32:25Speaker 2: swipe down there and sniffing it like Mary Catherine Gallagher? Yeah. Really?
- 32:30Speaker 2: This is fascinating. I think maybe. Sound off in the comments, everyone.
- 32:36Speaker 1: No.
- 32:37Speaker 2: I feel like. I think it's a gross guy thing.
- 32:40Speaker 2: They can already.
- 32:41Speaker 3: I think it's always like sweaty and sticky down there.
- 32:44Speaker 2: Right. They're always having to touch and shuffle around and. But, like, okay,
- 32:49Speaker 2: prime example. Like, let's just say, like, I... Chafing and
- 32:52Speaker 2: all this stuff. Yeah, you go to Six Flags, right?
- 32:55Speaker 2: It's in July. You're going to get swamp ass. Mm-hmm.
- 33:00Speaker 2: There's no way I'm doing anything to try to see
- 33:03Speaker 2: what's going on down there. You think these guys are
- 33:06Speaker 2: just doing it? I think they're interested in what's going
- 33:10Speaker 2: on down there. I am... These are freaking gross. They are,
- 33:13Speaker 2: but are they that gross? Yes. Yes. Well, that's discouraging.
- 33:18Speaker 2: I know. Okay. Well, let us know. Are you Team
- 33:21Speaker 2: Julie or Team Emily here?
- 33:23Speaker 3: And if you're a guy, you can tell us anonymously
- 33:26Speaker 3: if you do that.
- 33:27Speaker 2: How are they going to tell us anonymously? We won't.
- 33:30Speaker 2: Just vote in our poll. Okay. Oh, here's the poll
- 33:33Speaker 2: this week. Attention, gentlemen. Do you swipe your nuts and
- 33:40Speaker 2: smell them? I guess you don't have to pretend like
- 33:42Speaker 2: you're going to pass out. No.
- 33:43Speaker 1: No.
- 33:44Speaker 2: Just the first two steps. Swipe and smell. Do they swipe?
- 33:48Speaker 2: Do you swipe and smell? Do you swipe and smell? Okay.
- 33:51Speaker 2: If not, do you just swipe? What are you doing
- 33:54Speaker 2: if you're just swiping?
- 33:55Speaker 3: Just like clearing things out.
- 33:58Speaker 2: Ew, but with your bare hand? Yeah, guys are gross. Julie,
- 34:01Speaker 2: I don't know what's happening at your house. Nothing at
- 34:03Speaker 2: my house. I just think guys are gross, man. I
- 34:06Speaker 2: think they're gross, too. I think that this is a
- 34:09Speaker 2: total injustice to men that we're just putting this on
- 34:13Speaker 2: them because they're gross. Let us know in the comments. Okay.
- 34:16Speaker 2: In our poll. In our poll. Okay, let's move on. Oh, wait.
- 34:19Speaker 2: Any other college notes? Mizzou lost. Mizzou lost. Ole Miss
- 34:24Speaker 2: got shithoused by Florida. Tech won. They are not looking
- 34:29Speaker 2: all that solid.
- 34:31Speaker 3: A & M lost again. They're losing a lot.
- 34:33Speaker 2: A & M got less Oklahoma.
- 34:34Speaker 3: Losing Oklahoma is like out.
- 34:36Speaker 2: I know. Out of the picture.
- 34:37Speaker 3: I was real excited. And we had a really close
- 34:40Speaker 3: game against Mississippi State. I was watching that one and
- 34:44Speaker 3: watching the end of it. And our quarterback, Austin Simmons,
- 34:47Speaker 3: who I guess used to be the quarterback at Ole Miss.
- 34:50Speaker 2: And now he's at Mizzou. He's really good. And he's
- 34:52Speaker 2: really smart.
- 34:53Speaker 3: Like he had like already graduated college with some crazy
- 34:55Speaker 3: GPA or something.
- 34:56Speaker 2: And somehow he's our quarterback. I don't know. I don't
- 34:58Speaker 2: ask questions. I will accept. There we go.
- 35:01Speaker 3: I will accept your services.
- 35:02Speaker 2: You're talking to the queen of don't ask questions at
- 35:04Speaker 2: their university. Just be cool. Come on in. Yeah, let's go.
- 35:09Speaker 2: Just be cool. Yeah, just be cool.
- 35:10Speaker 3: And, uh, and he's really good. And I was texting
- 35:13Speaker 3: my Mizzou friends, like, I really like our quarterback. And
- 35:15Speaker 3: then this last drive of the game, we had to
- 35:17Speaker 3: go down and score basically. And he threw like almost
- 35:19Speaker 3: three interceptions. Like this went through people's hands.
- 35:22Speaker 2: And I was like, damn it.
- 35:23Speaker 3: I think that particular, um, in that moment in a
- 35:28Speaker 3: big game, maybe that's what he's not prepared for. And
- 35:30Speaker 3: then our coach too, there was a lot of back
- 35:32Speaker 3: and forth with like our coach. Did he call the
- 35:33Speaker 3: right place? And we blew that game against Mississippi state
- 35:36Speaker 3: and we were ranked above them.
- 35:39Speaker 2: In the SEC, and now we are not. I just looked.
- 35:41Speaker 3: We're at 25. We're still in the top 25.
- 35:44Speaker 2: Who was the other quarterback you hitched your wagon to?
- 35:47Speaker 3: Oh, gosh.
- 35:48Speaker 2: You're not the most trusted quarterback. No, I'm not. It
- 35:53Speaker 2: was really wishful thinking. No, it was the Cowboys.
- 35:56Speaker 3: It was.
- 35:57Speaker 2: Trey Lance.
- 35:57Speaker 3: It was Trey Lance. I wanted Trey Lance to happen.
- 35:59Speaker 2: Well, listen, it could still happen. Look at freaking Casey.
- 36:03Speaker 2: I know. 38 years old. And I will be.
- 36:06Speaker 3: 50 years old somewhere, like, yes!
- 36:09Speaker 2: Yes. I was right. I was right. Trey Lance is it.
- 36:11Speaker 3: He's going to get the call someday from some desperate team.
- 36:14Speaker 2: Maybe he will. Maybe he will.
- 36:16Speaker 3: But the Case Keenum thing was really cool.
- 36:18Speaker 2: Super cool. Yeah.
- 36:19Speaker 3: He seems like just a great dude.
- 36:21Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. Houston, or, well, Abilene, I think?
- 36:24Speaker 3: He's from Abilene.
- 36:25Speaker 2: Abilene played at Houston. And, like, destroyed at Houston.
- 36:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 36:27Speaker 2: They were really good. They were really good. When he
- 36:29Speaker 2: was there.
- 36:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 36:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:30Speaker 3: And then gets the call and... There's so many injuries
- 36:33Speaker 3: right now to quarterbacks in the NFL. I think if
- 36:35Speaker 3: you're a quarterback on your couch, you've got to be excited.
- 36:38Speaker 2: Yeah, get ready. And had a great game and had
- 36:40Speaker 2: his family there, or his little girl. I know. My sister,
- 36:43Speaker 2: I talked to her on the way here today, and
- 36:44Speaker 2: she was like, did you see Case Keenum's daughter? Yeah.
- 36:47Speaker 2: I was like, no. And she was so adorable. She was. Yeah.
- 36:50Speaker 3: And we could go into the other cute daughter story.
- 36:52Speaker 2: Speaking of. Okay, and listen. Let me preface this by
- 36:56Speaker 2: saying I am not a huge JV fan. But Justin,
- 37:00Speaker 2: I don't care. If you are... if you appreciate baseball,
- 37:03Speaker 2: you appreciate the career of Justin Verlander. He has been amazing.
- 37:08Speaker 2: You know, one of, if not the best pitcher of this,
- 37:11Speaker 2: of my generation, Julie, not even my generation, it's your generation, honestly,
- 37:16Speaker 2: because I think he's probably way closer in age to you.
- 37:18Speaker 2: But anyway, he put together a brilliant career. He was
- 37:21Speaker 2: a thorn in the Rangers side with the Tigers and
- 37:25Speaker 2: with the Astros, you know, I don't really know him
- 37:30Speaker 2: at all. I don't know if I even spoke to him.
- 37:32Speaker 2: He just was relatively unapproachable when he was playing, even
- 37:36Speaker 2: though Houston was here all the time when he was
- 37:38Speaker 2: with them. Anyway, his send-off in Detroit was really cool.
- 37:44Speaker 2: He made it known that it was going to be
- 37:46Speaker 2: his last start in Detroit, and so it was the
- 37:49Speaker 2: Saturday before the regular season ended. So he pitches, and
- 37:54Speaker 2: then it's time for him to come out, and A.J.
- 37:56Speaker 2: Hinch starts to go out there, and then... His daughter
- 37:59Speaker 2: just beelines for her dad. And once the thing that
- 38:04Speaker 2: got me and it also probably is the first time
- 38:07Speaker 2: I've ever looked at Justin Verlander is like a human
- 38:10Speaker 2: instead of a pitching robot. He looks at her, sees
- 38:13Speaker 2: that she's coming toward him and he is sobbing so visibly. Yeah.
- 38:18Speaker 2: That his shoulders are shaking. He is sobbing. Yeah. And,
- 38:24Speaker 2: you know, she runs into his arms and it was just,
- 38:27Speaker 2: and he holds her for a good 30 seconds, just crying.
- 38:30Speaker 2: crying she's probably what she's probably six seven seven yeah
- 38:34Speaker 2: okay six seven um have you done to that one
- 38:39Speaker 2: yet no scuba i it's like something stinks or.
- 38:42Speaker 3: Something i don't know when you say six seven no.
- 38:44Speaker 2: It's different i just maybe thought of it it's my
- 38:46Speaker 2: new hand motion it's old but it's no now it's
- 38:49Speaker 2: old i don't even know if this is still a
- 38:51Speaker 2: thing anymore whatever Anyway, I think she may be like, yeah,
- 38:57Speaker 2: 7'8-ish or something like that. But, yeah, it was a really,
- 39:00Speaker 2: really cool moment. And then Max Scherzer had one on
- 39:03Speaker 2: the last day of the regular season, last start in Toronto.
- 39:06Speaker 2: He's wishy-washy. You never know if he's coming back or not.
- 39:10Speaker 2: But a cool moment with his family and his kids
- 39:12Speaker 2: helped him. He probably should just go to the tunnel. Whatever.
- 39:14Speaker 2: But anyway, really cool moments. Those two guys are two
- 39:18Speaker 2: of the best pitchers of the last 20 years. But yeah,
- 39:23Speaker 2: that was a really cool moment.
- 39:24Speaker 3: It was. It was so it was so cute really
- 39:27Speaker 3: cute little kate upton.
- 39:28Speaker 2: Um yeah i know and then they revisited their love
- 39:31Speaker 2: story and how it started by throwing her a ball
- 39:33Speaker 2: in the stands and all that kind of stuff um
- 39:36Speaker 2: so it's baby sports baby um and then the rangers
- 39:43Speaker 2: Womp womp. But really, did anybody think they were going
- 39:46Speaker 2: to do anything?
- 39:47Speaker 3: We thought they might just stumble in.
- 39:50Speaker 2: I know. Stumble in and then fall down maybe? I
- 39:53Speaker 2: don't know. That whole situation... it was not good for
- 39:59Speaker 2: a while.
- 39:59Speaker 3: It was like we had to win and then Houston
- 40:01Speaker 3: had to lose on the last day of the regular season.
- 40:04Speaker 2: And we, and then Houston had to win, had to
- 40:07Speaker 2: lose and the Rangers had to win. And neither one
- 40:08Speaker 2: of those things. Right.
- 40:09Speaker 3: It was like the reverse. It was, that's just like
- 40:11Speaker 3: a sign.
- 40:12Speaker 2: I did think it would be so fitting if both
- 40:14Speaker 2: teams lost, they finished with the exact same below 500 record.
- 40:19Speaker 2: And then Houston ended up, Being the one in the playoffs. Right.
- 40:22Speaker 2: Because they had the tiebreaker. Yeah. And they would have
- 40:25Speaker 2: had an 80 and 82 record if they wouldn't have
- 40:28Speaker 2: won that last game. I know. But listen, I mean,
- 40:31Speaker 2: we all know how the Rangers snuck in in 2023. Granted,
- 40:34Speaker 2: it wasn't with a 500 record, but they did sneak
- 40:38Speaker 2: in in 23 and made a bunch of effing noise
- 40:40Speaker 2: and won the World Series. So good Lord, please don't
- 40:44Speaker 2: let that happen. That the Astros win the World Series.
- 40:47Speaker 2: They can't. Or even advance. Yeah. Let's go. Yeah. Put
- 40:51Speaker 2: them out of their misery.
- 40:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:52Speaker 2: No kidding. White socks. So yeah. So baseball season's over.
- 40:58Speaker 2: It's not right there. It's not right in Arlington, in
- 41:02Speaker 2: my opinion. And I'm obviously not around the team anymore.
- 41:06Speaker 2: But from the outside, it appears- But it does appear
- 41:11Speaker 2: like this team doesn't really have an identity. They have,
- 41:14Speaker 2: for lack of a better word, like there's not a
- 41:16Speaker 2: lot of soul there, if that makes sense. I feel
- 41:21Speaker 2: like the disconnect between, and maybe it's because I'm not
- 41:24Speaker 2: in it. So full disclosure, I'm not bashing the team,
- 41:27Speaker 2: the organization, but it doesn't feel like there's a connection
- 41:31Speaker 2: between the fan base and the team. I feel like
- 41:35Speaker 2: it's very zero.
- 41:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:39Speaker 2: I watched a lot. I still watch a lot. I
- 41:41Speaker 2: still root for them. I'm invested. My friends work there. Like,
- 41:44Speaker 2: I love it. I'm still technically an ambassador, like, for
- 41:48Speaker 2: goodness sake.
- 41:50Speaker 3: It's a me thing.
- 41:51Speaker 2: But when it's hard for me to find, I just. Yeah,
- 41:54Speaker 2: I know. And that's an issue. It's not just the
- 41:58Speaker 2: roster and the front office and the organization. It's the
- 42:01Speaker 2: fact that they're hard to find. Yeah. So anyway, they've
- 42:04Speaker 2: got some real soul searching to do, especially considering that
- 42:07Speaker 2: there could very, very well and very, very likely be
- 42:10Speaker 2: a lockout. And it's going to make things even messier
- 42:13Speaker 2: for a team like Texas that's in this kind of.
- 42:17Speaker 3: Good thing we have the Savannah Bananas.
- 42:21Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 42:21Speaker 3: They were in town.
- 42:22Speaker 2: They were in town. Josh Hamilton made an appearance.
- 42:25Speaker 3: Everyone I know is trying to get those tickets, and
- 42:26Speaker 3: everyone's talking about them.
- 42:28Speaker 2: It's crazy.
- 42:29Speaker 3: They went to go play the Texas Tailgaters.
- 42:31Speaker 2: Yeah, so they played three games, I think. Josh Hamilton
- 42:34Speaker 2: was the surprise guest in game one, Rafael Palmeiro in
- 42:37Speaker 2: game two, and Prince Fielder, our dude, Prince Fielder in
- 42:41Speaker 2: game three. Yeah. Yeah.
- 42:42Speaker 3: So cool.
- 42:43Speaker 2: But yeah, that's like. Packed. You can't get those tickets.
- 42:45Speaker 2: They were ridiculously expensive. And what does that say about. Well,
- 42:48Speaker 2: but also too, the MLB teams play 162. That's true.
- 42:52Speaker 2: These guys are touring all around and they've got great bits.
- 42:56Speaker 2: I just hear more about them than like. I don't
- 42:58Speaker 2: disagree with you. And you know. And they have a
- 43:01Speaker 2: great product. And it's super entertaining. They have a really
- 43:03Speaker 2: great product. One of my friends that went was like,
- 43:05Speaker 2: it was so fun.
- 43:06Speaker 3: Like so fun.
- 43:07Speaker 2: Everyone I know that went had a blast. Yeah. Yeah.
- 43:09Speaker 3: Once again, though, it was too hard to figure out.
- 43:11Speaker 2: I just can't.
- 43:12Speaker 3: I have zero energy lately for stuff like that. Finding
- 43:15Speaker 3: tickets and dealing with crowds and parking and everything else.
- 43:18Speaker 3: But it was here, and apparently it was really fun.
- 43:21Speaker 2: Yes. Okay, let's get to a little feed stuff brought
- 43:25Speaker 2: to us by our friends at Baylor, Scott, and White. Yes.
- 43:31Speaker 3: If you are like me, whether you're like me or not,
- 43:36Speaker 3: I've had cancer. I am very much trying to monitor
- 43:39Speaker 3: my health situation. And whether you have or haven't, it's
- 43:43Speaker 3: something that you should do. And our friends at Baylor
- 43:45Speaker 3: Scott and White can help you with that. They can
- 43:46Speaker 3: help you unleash your power to live better. They're here

- 44:09Speaker 3: out the link in our bio. And we are super
- 44:13Speaker 3: grateful to Baylor Scott and White. They were my doctors
- 44:16Speaker 3: when I really needed them.
- 44:18Speaker 2: And they can help with so many different things. And
- 44:20Speaker 2: they're all over the Metroplex. They are. They are. That's
- 44:23Speaker 2: where I had my babies. Yeah. Baylor Scott and White. Okay.
- 44:27Speaker 2: A couple of fun things to talk about. First, And
- 44:33Speaker 2: I wonder where you are on this because I think
- 44:35Speaker 2: we're too old lady for this. But Instagram apparently is
- 44:38Speaker 2: now letting you blur your boyfriend because apparently showing his
- 44:42Speaker 2: face is cringe. So you know the whole deal where
- 44:46Speaker 2: you soft launch something, someone, a relationship, and like you'll
- 44:52Speaker 2: take a picture of you or they're holding a glass
- 44:55Speaker 2: of wine and You take a picture of their arm
- 44:59Speaker 2: and one boob and the glass of wine. I saw,
- 45:01Speaker 2: I forget who, but like there was like a man's
- 45:03Speaker 2: shoe in the frame. Yes. And so it's like these little,
- 45:06Speaker 2: it's very Taylor Swift-ish. Very Easter egg-y. Yes. Very, yes.
- 45:10Speaker 2: To where it's like, oh, but we're not ready to
- 45:12Speaker 2: show his whole face yet. So now apparently you can
- 45:15Speaker 2: blur out someone's face.
- 45:17Speaker 1: Oh.
- 45:18Speaker 2: Like is this necessary? It's like an Instagram like editing tool?
- 45:21Speaker 2: It's a feature now where you can blur something or someone.
- 45:25Speaker 2: out of a picture. What if he's super hot? Um,
- 45:28Speaker 2: I don't know, but it's.
- 45:29Speaker 3: All about, don't you want to show that off?
- 45:31Speaker 2: I don't know. It's all about this though, the everything.
- 45:34Speaker 2: So we're dealing with it with like, again, like I'm
- 45:37Speaker 2: not going to talk too much about my children and
- 45:40Speaker 2: their whatever, because they have told me there are certain
- 45:43Speaker 2: things I can and can't talk about. But, um, you know,
- 45:47Speaker 2: the whole homecoming thing, like I saw a mom venting
- 45:53Speaker 2: on Instagram the other day and she's like, So my
- 45:56Speaker 2: senior daughter just informed me that they're not going to
- 45:59Speaker 2: the homecoming dance. But she still needs a dress. She
- 46:04Speaker 2: still needs the flowers and the ribbon and all the
- 46:06Speaker 2: things because they're going to take pictures. And then they're
- 46:09Speaker 2: going to change out of said dresses and throw away
- 46:13Speaker 2: the flowers or whatever. And then they're just going to
- 46:15Speaker 2: go hang out. So they're just doing this. And I
- 46:18Speaker 2: guess you're doing it to capture the memories and all
- 46:20Speaker 2: that kind of stuff. But it's like, I feel like
- 46:24Speaker 2: so much of what we're doing is just geared toward,
- 46:27Speaker 2: and listen, I am not, I'm in the middle of it.
- 46:30Speaker 2: My kids are in the middle of it. I'm not saying,
- 46:32Speaker 2: I'm guilty as charged. Like, I'm not saying like, I'm
- 46:36Speaker 2: not doing that. But it's that, it's just like, that's
- 46:41Speaker 2: what we're doing. And I guess- I don't know. It's
- 46:43Speaker 2: just weird. And so it makes sense that Instagram's like, oh,
- 46:47Speaker 2: you want a soft launch? I'll show you how to
- 46:49Speaker 2: soft launch. This is how we do it. Right. But
- 46:51Speaker 2: then this is my question. Is AI or are there
- 46:55Speaker 2: people that are stealth enough out there that if you
- 46:57Speaker 2: blur out someone's face, they can figure out who it
- 46:59Speaker 2: is anyway? Yeah. Yeah. I don't know. I just think
- 47:03Speaker 2: that it's just so– my only thing that I worry
- 47:07Speaker 2: about with my kids is like it just takes so
- 47:09Speaker 2: much energy to like– Right.
- 47:12Speaker 3: Well, I feel like the whole pretending like you're going
- 47:14Speaker 3: to homecoming and not going to homecoming is strange.
- 47:17Speaker 2: And I would probably say, well, then you can pay
- 47:19Speaker 2: for this stuff yourself. Because it's lots of money.
- 47:22Speaker 3: Yeah, like you can do some chores.
- 47:24Speaker 2: You've got to make the sign to ask to HoCo.
- 47:26Speaker 3: What's so bad about going to the dance?
- 47:28Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm pretty sure my Henry's going to
- 47:33Speaker 2: the dance.
- 47:34Speaker 3: Ours was like, I think the dance is like an
- 47:36Speaker 3: hour long. Or like an hour and a half.
- 47:37Speaker 2: But then there's always the after parties. Right.
- 47:39Speaker 3: And that's very much parent planned, at least in our world.
- 47:42Speaker 3: Like someone's lake house or all the things.
- 47:44Speaker 2: Oh, wow. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I had a friend I
- 47:47Speaker 2: talked to yesterday that his daughter is a senior. She
- 47:51Speaker 2: invited 60 people, 60, and 350 showed up. Oh my gosh. Yeah.
- 47:56Speaker 2: Because word just starts spreading. Like, where's everyone going? Where's
- 47:58Speaker 2: everyone going? I mean, granted, they live like kind of
- 48:01Speaker 2: out and they have like a barn and you know,
- 48:03Speaker 2: they have the capability, but they were not expecting 350
- 48:06Speaker 2: kids to show up. That's insane. Yeah. So that's kind
- 48:09Speaker 2: of one thing that I'm getting into into high school
- 48:11Speaker 2: is like this whole, the after party thing. Right. Like where,
- 48:15Speaker 2: where's everyone going after? I mean, at least, I don't know.
- 48:19Speaker 3: It's crazy.
- 48:20Speaker 2: But then I think what we were doing, I was
- 48:22Speaker 2: in a F-ing barn in the middle of a field
- 48:25Speaker 2: at 100% with no cell phone, no way if I
- 48:28Speaker 2: could have ended up passed out in the middle of
- 48:31Speaker 2: two rows of cotton and no one would have found
- 48:33Speaker 2: me for three days.
- 48:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 48:34Speaker 2: Same.
- 48:35Speaker 1: You know?
- 48:35Speaker 3: Without the cotton.
- 48:36Speaker 2: Right. So I need to chill the fuck out and
- 48:38Speaker 2: be like, yeah. I know. You know, I'm chilling out.
- 48:43Speaker 2: I mean, really, I didn't need to. You just worked
- 48:44Speaker 2: through that. Well, I mean, but no, it's a great point. Like, okay, ooh,
- 48:48Speaker 2: I'm so scared. Okay, I am, but whatever. I'm sure.
- 48:51Speaker 2: Once again, it's so different when you're the mom. We're
- 48:53Speaker 2: all terrified. I know, I know. It's so different. But
- 48:55Speaker 2: I think about the stuff we were doing. Yeah, we
- 48:57Speaker 2: were doing.
- 48:57Speaker 3: We had, like, parties at people's ranches, and the parents
- 49:00Speaker 3: had no idea, and there would be, like, 200 people.
- 49:02Speaker 3: We'd hire musicians. We had Django Walker one time.
- 49:07Speaker 2: What? We had parties. I met Django Walker. Yes.
- 49:10Speaker 3: He went to my high school.
- 49:12Speaker 2: He did? He was so sweet. Yeah, you did. Yeah,
- 49:14Speaker 2: you told me that. Yeah. That green thing. Yes. But like,
- 49:17Speaker 2: not Cory Morrow. They're... I don't know.
- 49:20Speaker 3: They all float around Austin, these musicians. And we would
- 49:22Speaker 3: like pool money together.
- 49:23Speaker 2: Stop it.
- 49:24Speaker 3: The boys would all do it. It was like a
- 49:26Speaker 3: boy thing. They'd get a whole bunch of kegs. They
- 49:27Speaker 3: would go to someone's ranch. And the parents most of
- 49:31Speaker 3: the time didn't know that this was happening out at
- 49:32Speaker 3: their ranch. And we wouldn't tell our parents where we
- 49:34Speaker 3: were going. Somehow we got out for the night. We
- 49:37Speaker 3: would put up tents and we'd all spend the night.
- 49:39Speaker 2: Okay. That does make me feel better. At least you
- 49:41Speaker 2: weren't driving.
- 49:42Speaker 3: We had full on like frat parties in college. I mean, sorry,
- 49:47Speaker 3: in high school.
- 49:48Speaker 2: That's insanity. Holiday co-down, toga.
- 49:51Speaker 3: One was a toga party.
- 49:52Speaker 2: I mean. Y'all were having legit frat parties. Yeah. We
- 49:56Speaker 2: didn't take it up a notch like that in Plainview.
- 49:57Speaker 2: It was basically just like, let's all hang around in
- 49:59Speaker 2: a barn and drink beer. We did that.
- 50:01Speaker 3: That'd just be like a, not the barn, but we'd
- 50:03Speaker 3: go to Fields. On like just a Friday night. But
- 50:05Speaker 3: like the big parties were twice a year.
- 50:07Speaker 2: Yeah. We hung out in Anthony's parking lot. I remember
- 50:11Speaker 2: you talking about Anthony's. Anthony's parking lot. Yeah. And the drag.
- 50:15Speaker 2: We would go from Anthony's to Mr. Burger through the
- 50:18Speaker 2: Spudnut Shop and just do the drag. And then every
- 50:21Speaker 2: once in a while you'd stop. Sometimes there'd be a fight. Oh, yeah.
- 50:23Speaker 2: Sometimes you'd just sit on people's tailgates. Back in the day.
- 50:27Speaker 2: That was for the day.
- 50:28Speaker 3: Varsity Blue style.
- 50:29Speaker 2: It was so Varsity Blue style.
- 50:30Speaker 3: We did the golf course a lot. It was a
- 50:33Speaker 3: fancy golf course.
- 50:34Speaker 2: How did you not get kicked off there? We did.
- 50:36Speaker 3: We'd wear our tennis shoes, and then when the cops came,
- 50:38Speaker 3: we would just run.
- 50:40Speaker 2: God, you were such a rule breaker, Julie. I know.
- 50:43Speaker 2: What happened to you? I don't know. I suck now.
- 50:47Speaker 2: It's not true. Okay. Well, anyway. Kids, aren't they great
- 50:52Speaker 2: growing up so fast?
- 50:53Speaker 3: I don't want to be on the other side of
- 50:54Speaker 3: all that.
- 50:55Speaker 2: I know. I know. But every stage, we've talked about this,
- 50:58Speaker 2: every stage has its absolute.
- 51:01Speaker 2: High points yeah and absolute scare the shit out of
- 51:04Speaker 2: you points yeah so yeah every stage has it.
- 51:09Speaker 3: What if you're like you can't tap out that's the
- 51:10Speaker 3: hard thing about no no i've tried you're like i
- 51:14Speaker 3: know i'm trying it doesn't work start taking your early
- 51:16Speaker 3: birds all day.
- 51:17Speaker 4: Long you can't you can't do it you gotta suck
- 51:21Speaker 4: it up you gotta suck it up um okay speaking
- 51:24Speaker 4: of young people on social media, apparently there's a new pose.
- 51:29Speaker 2: So this is another thing I've noticed in these homecoming pictures.
- 51:32Speaker 2: So glad you can keep us up to date. The pose,
- 51:35Speaker 2: they're leaning all the way back and it's like this.
- 51:38Speaker 2: And I'm like, are they showing off their boobs? No, no, no,
- 51:41Speaker 2: this is different. So that, and I'm like, this is,
- 51:44Speaker 2: so there'll be like grabbing onto each other and then
- 51:47Speaker 2: they both are going back and then head cut. Hattie
- 51:49Speaker 2: does it. It's absolutely a thing.
- 51:51Speaker 3: I think I've seen this, yeah.
- 51:53Speaker 2: Yes. I could show you a million pictures. What? Yeah.
- 51:56Speaker 2: I think I saw this when people were posting dance pictures.
- 51:58Speaker 2: So apparently there's a new one that celebrities like Kylie
- 52:02Speaker 2: Jenner and all these people are doing where this is it,
- 52:06Speaker 2: where you're resting, basically resting your hands on your boobs.
- 52:10Speaker 2: So this is the new, apparently the new pose, is
- 52:13Speaker 2: to put your hands- You should probably get those nails done.
- 52:15Speaker 2: It's your hands. So you put your hands on your boobs,
- 52:19Speaker 2: just barely- Touching them. Boob rest. So that's where. So
- 52:24Speaker 2: this is it. Should we take our photo like that
- 52:26Speaker 2: for this episode? Let's do one. Let's do one. Just
- 52:28Speaker 2: for fun.
- 52:28Speaker 1: I know.
- 52:29Speaker 2: So that's apparently a trend. So keep an eye on that.
- 52:32Speaker 2: I don't know which one I like less. What's the
- 52:36Speaker 2: point of this one? The neck crick thing. I guess
- 52:39Speaker 2: something to do with your hands. Poor girls. Seriously. These days. Seriously.
- 52:46Speaker 3: At least we didn't have to– we might have been
- 52:48Speaker 3: breaking all the rules, but at least we didn't have
- 52:49Speaker 3: to deal with social media.
- 52:50Speaker 2: This is very true. And then finally, one more quick
- 52:52Speaker 2: hit on socials. Speaking of breasts, moms are baking breast
- 52:58Speaker 2: milk into family foods to ward off the flu. In
- 53:01Speaker 2: or out. Does it work? I don't know. I mean,
- 53:03Speaker 2: they say breast milk. Is colostrum like– is there colostrum
- 53:06Speaker 2: in breast milk or is that just what comes out
- 53:07Speaker 2: in the very beginning? Whatever. I think breast milk is
- 53:10Speaker 2: like just like very good for you, period.
- 53:12Speaker 3: Period.
- 53:14Speaker 2: But I don't know. I mean, I feel like it's
- 53:15Speaker 2: designed for babies. But I don't know that I would
- 53:20Speaker 2: participate in breast milk.
- 53:21Speaker 3: If it really did ward off the flu, then maybe.
- 53:23Speaker 2: Dude, it sucks. If I got sick with the flu
- 53:28Speaker 2: and somebody said, take a shot of breast milk and
- 53:30Speaker 2: you will be cured, I'm definitely doing it. You've drank
- 53:33Speaker 2: breast milk before. Of course you're doing it. On the
- 53:36Speaker 2: radio for a stunt, not just because I'm weird. I
- 53:38Speaker 2: just have to clarify. Yeah.
- 53:40Speaker 3: Okay.
- 53:40Speaker 2: Okay. Yeah, and she's worried about dudes smelling their nut sweat.
- 53:46Speaker 3: I think they do.
- 53:47Speaker 2: Okay. TMG News Desk brought to us by, this is
- 53:50Speaker 2: a new sponsor. Oh. The Do It For Dura Foundation.
- 53:53Speaker 2: Oh my gosh. Thank you so much. Not actually a sponsor,
- 53:56Speaker 2: but a partner. But I just want to keep talking
- 53:58Speaker 2: about the event we have coming up. November 13th. It's
- 54:02Speaker 2: golf in the morning at Grapevine Golf Club. So fun.
- 54:05Speaker 2: Foursomes are going fast. I think we have a handful left.
- 54:08Speaker 2: And then we have the concert at Texas Live, also
- 54:11Speaker 2: a mom game partner. Randall King will be our performer.
- 54:15Speaker 2: He's amazing. Anyway, it's just a wonderful cause. For those
- 54:19Speaker 2: of you who don't know, I am the president of
- 54:21Speaker 2: the Do It For Duret Foundation, the proud president of
- 54:23Speaker 2: the Do It For Duret Foundation. We are a nonprofit
- 54:26Speaker 2: organization that financially helps those impacted by sudden loss. We
- 54:30Speaker 2: have helped More than 250 families to the tune of
- 54:33Speaker 2: 300 plus million dollars. What? Every penny we raise goes
- 54:37Speaker 2: directly to these families. And we are so, so grateful
- 54:41Speaker 2: for the support that we've been shown for the last 14, no,
- 54:43Speaker 2: 13 years. No, 12, 13. Hattie will be 14, 14 years.
- 54:50Speaker 2: So anyway, we are still going strong and would love
- 54:54Speaker 2: your support. So please slide in my DMs. Go to doitfordureit.com
- 54:57Speaker 2: for more information to get signed up for golf. If
- 54:59Speaker 2: you want to sponsor, get VIP tickets or regular tickets
- 55:03Speaker 2: to the concert, it's going to be a great night.
- 55:05Speaker 2: November 13th, Grapevine Golf Club, followed by a concert at
- 55:08Speaker 2: Texas 5. What's not to love? What is not to love? Okay,
- 55:13Speaker 2: this one hits real close to home, Julie. Rivals is
- 55:17Speaker 2: now charging high school athletes... $ 499 for evaluation and ranking consideration.
- 55:27Speaker 2: So do you remember, because were you doing sports early
- 55:32Speaker 2: in your career? You didn't ever do sports locally, did you?
- 55:35Speaker 2: Did you go straight? Like cover? Like cover sports. I
- 55:37Speaker 2: did some high school football games. Okay. TXA 21. Okay.
- 55:40Speaker 2: So when I was in Lubbock, so Lubbock, obviously, college town,
- 55:43Speaker 2: Texas Tech, we were following recruiting very, very hard. Mm-hmm.
- 55:48Speaker 2: And rivals, it's like, what is he ranked? And you
- 55:51Speaker 2: hear about this all the time. Oh, he's a five star.
- 55:52Speaker 2: He's a four star. Oh, he's only a three star.
- 55:54Speaker 2: And my whole question is, and I went on a
- 55:57Speaker 2: rant about this in Lubbock 800 years ago. I feel
- 56:00Speaker 2: this way about preseason football rankings or preseason rankings of
- 56:04Speaker 2: any kind in college. Right. How do you know? You
- 56:07Speaker 2: could have eight guys leave for the NFL, but then
- 56:10Speaker 2: you're basing it on last year's. You're just ranking these teams.
- 56:12Speaker 2: And where you rank them in the preseason absolutely affects
- 56:16Speaker 2: where they end up at the end of the season
- 56:18Speaker 2: because a team that's ranked number one, if they get
- 56:21Speaker 2: beat by an unranked team, they're going to go to
- 56:24Speaker 2: 15 or whatever. It's just like a guess. And it
- 56:29Speaker 2: doesn't make sense. Same way with these. Who is ranking
- 56:33Speaker 2: these high school players? You know what's happening? is these
- 56:37Speaker 2: services are getting on phones, or this is what used
- 56:39Speaker 2: to happen, used to. I don't know what's happening now
- 56:41Speaker 2: with AI and what they're doing. But they would get
- 56:43Speaker 2: on the phone with coaches. Tell me about, you know, so-and-so.
- 56:46Speaker 2: Tell me about so-and-so. And then, you know, they're like, okay,
- 56:50Speaker 2: then they give them these rankings. I mean, so you
- 56:53Speaker 2: mean to tell me like these guys at Rivals are
- 56:56Speaker 2: like pouring over hours of film and rating these guys
- 57:00Speaker 2: based on their performance in the all 22s that they're
- 57:03Speaker 2: pouring over every day? Like, I've always thought these rankings
- 57:07Speaker 2: were a huge crock of shit. Now, a lot of times,
- 57:09Speaker 2: are they right?
- 57:10Speaker 1: Yes.
- 57:10Speaker 2: Because you know what? You know who is studying those things?
- 57:13Speaker 2: The college coaches that are recruiting them. So if, and
- 57:16Speaker 2: this is what would happen, you know, back in the day,
- 57:19Speaker 2: if Texas was on a recruit, you know, like, oh,
- 57:22Speaker 2: we really like this guy. Well, automatically, he's going to
- 57:25Speaker 2: probably get another star added to his profile because Texas
- 57:29Speaker 2: is looking at him. So if Texas is looking at him,
- 57:31Speaker 2: then like, He must be really good. Same way with
- 57:33Speaker 2: any prominent program at that time. And again, I'm not
- 57:36Speaker 2: close to the high school football scene anymore, but this
- 57:39Speaker 2: is the way it used to be. And I think
- 57:41Speaker 2: it's a complete effing racket. These ratings are ridiculous and
- 57:45Speaker 2: these stars and all this stuff. And I just don't
- 57:48Speaker 2: think there's any legitimate evaluation that it's based on.
- 57:53Speaker 3: How did they get to be the ones to do this?
- 57:57Speaker 2: It's a business, right? It's a business. It's a huge business.
- 58:00Speaker 2: And now they want to charge $ 499 for people, for
- 58:02Speaker 2: kids to get. evaluate.
- 58:07Speaker 3: Can we start a TMG ranking business? Sure. And you
- 58:09Speaker 3: and I can watch some film and use our platform
- 58:12Speaker 3: to advertise your kid and charge them $ 500.
- 58:15Speaker 2: But people, we've talked about this a gazillion times on
- 58:18Speaker 2: this show. Parents are, and kids are so anxious and
- 58:23Speaker 2: so hell bent on getting to the next level and
- 58:26Speaker 2: being the guy that it just, they just can't help themselves.
- 58:30Speaker 2: They'll just keep doing whatever it takes and paying what.
- 58:33Speaker 2: And so they know they're like, We have an audience,
- 58:35Speaker 2: a complete audience here. We have a complete market built
- 58:39Speaker 2: in of all these parents that are desperate for their
- 58:42Speaker 2: kids to move on. You think they're not going to
- 58:45Speaker 2: pay $ 4. 99?
- 58:46Speaker 3: And there's probably a waiting list.
- 58:48Speaker 2: I mean, it's insane. So they say, so Rivals acquired
- 58:51Speaker 2: On3 last year. So basically it says that they rolled
- 58:57Speaker 2: out a new platform that lets high school athletes pay
- 58:59Speaker 2: hundreds of dollars to be evaluated for ranking consideration. The
- 59:02Speaker 2: site offers athletes a chance to quote, get evaluated by
- 59:06Speaker 2: a rival scout for $ 4. 99, though there's currently a 20%
- 59:09Speaker 2: off promotion that makes the price just $ 3. 99. The site
- 59:12Speaker 2: promises a scouting report, an evaluation grade, and a ranking consideration.
- 59:16Speaker 2: So here's my deal. What were you doing beforehand? Like,
- 59:20Speaker 2: weren't you supposed to be ranking and evaluating all this time? Yeah.
- 59:24Speaker 2: So now you need 400, 500 bucks to do it.
- 59:27Speaker 2: It's just, it's, it's just.
- 59:29Speaker 3: So your kid can get noticed.
- 59:30Speaker 2: Right. It's just continuing to add to the, the, the
- 59:34Speaker 2: insanity that is youth, high school. It needs like a
- 59:38Speaker 2: total reset. Everything, college, everything.
- 59:41Speaker 3: I wish we could do it.
- 59:42Speaker 2: It's insane.
- 59:42Speaker 3: I wish that could happen that easily. It's like when
- 59:44Speaker 3: my kids are having bad, like the bad behavior that
- 59:46Speaker 3: just continues.
- 59:47Speaker 2: It's a hard reset.
- 59:47Speaker 3: I say like, this is going to be reset week.
- 59:49Speaker 3: Like we're not doing screens. We're not having playdates. Like
- 59:52Speaker 3: y'all get your stuff turned in. Like I wish you
- 59:54Speaker 3: could do that for youth sports. Right. Like we need
- 59:57Speaker 3: to start over.
- 59:57Speaker 2: Just reset. Cause it's just building. It just, it just
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: keeps getting piles on. Yeah. And then people keep finding
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: ways to capitalize on it. And it's just, it's never
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: going to end.
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: And there's just like these little kids and guess what?
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: They all end up having major anxiety and major like
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: issues because their parents like oh mom and dad don't
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: care about when I do this or that or this
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: or that or when I ask for their attention to
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: do this but they're all in about my football career
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: and they're paying extra money you.
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: Know insane it really is it's sad and it's crazy
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: and listen I'm not acting like I'm not contributing to
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: it with what we do on our with our family
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: or whatever but I'm damn sure not paying no I
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: damn sure not paying 400, 500 bucks for my kid
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: to get evaluated by a rival scout. Like, what are
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: we doing?
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: I mean, ask him like, what are you, how are
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: you evaluating? And I want to know what are their
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: qualifications to evaluate these players? Like, tell me what.
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: Just some bro dudes probably.
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: But is it even bro dudes? Is it, what's your
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: qualifications to evaluate a player? That's what I want to know.
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: Tell me your, tell me your qualifications. Let's go to
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: bat with rivals.
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: All these hard-hitting questions sure on behalf of sports parents
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: across america everywhere yeah.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: They're scared they'd be way too scared to come on
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: here well let's clip this off and send it to
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: them okay are you scared uh oh i'm not i'm
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: talking to the camera okay oh she put out a
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: threat rivals uh okay come sit right here one more
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: one more quick hit um before we go so i
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: i just i just copy and pasted the headline because
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: i really didn't need to get into the meat of
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: it but Mom slapped with babysitter's jaw-dropping fee after canceling
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: on her six hours prior. So this is actually a
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: really good topic of conversation. So I'm not in the
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: babysitter market anymore. My kids don't need them anymore. But
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: if you book a babysitter and then you cancel on
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: her six hours before she's supposed to or he is
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: supposed to babysit for you, do you feel obligated to
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: pay her or him something? And I will say this
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: while you think about it. So I'm thinking about this
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: from a– I have situations where people ask me to
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: host an event or whatever. And it's very far down
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: the line, say six months from now. And I will
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: make them pay a non-refundable deposit because I say– To
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: do what now? Like if I'm emceeing an event or
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: hosting an event or something like that. And it's in
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: June and it's right now October. And I'm like, yes,
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: because I'm going to hold that date for you. That
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: means I'm going to plan– everything around that. So it
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: is a, you have to pay half upfront non-refundable deposit.
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: And then I'll get the other half after the event.
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: And so I feel like it's a similar thing. Now, granted,
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: these are probably teenagers, you know, with babysitting gigs, but
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: I also get it. Like that babysitter could have been
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: asked a couple of other times, like, can you babysit
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: for us? Oh no, I can't. I'm already babysitting for Julie. Yeah.
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: You know what I mean? So I feel like there
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: should be like a, yeah, you've got to pay half if,
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: I mean, or you have a cancellation policy. Like, and
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: I know that seems ridiculous and people will probably be like,
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: you're so dumb, but I also understand where it's coming
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: from or where this babysitter's coming from. And now maybe
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: the full amount, like, That might be a little aggressive, right?
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: Like a little aggressive, the full amount. But also too,
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: I understand like she probably turned on other gigs and
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: then we're like, no. And then she was counting on
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: like I'm babysitting these three kids for six hours. It's
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: going to be 150, 60, 70 bucks for me. Like
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: that's good money. And now I'm missing out on that.
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: Like there should be something I feel like.
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: Yeah, probably so.
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: I don't know. It's different.
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: It's like high school kids– Unless they're like career babysitters.
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: I don't know. It's like, would you really be babysitting
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: or do you.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: Okay. Now let's turn the tables.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: What happens if the high school kid bails on you?
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: Which happens a lot. Yeah. So it needs to work
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: both ways. Right. So like if you're going to... Okay.
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: So maybe here's the solution. If you're going to have
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: this policy in place, you also need to have a
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: policy in place as to what happens if you are
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: not able to baby... If you cancel on the day of.
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: I am very much.
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: to a fault too much of a, just like honor system.
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: Like you do what you feel is right. They do
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: what they feel is right. Rather than making things weird
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: with rules.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: And I just kind of do that in life and
- 1:04:19Speaker 3: to a fault.
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: I hear, you know, but like, like Anna has, she
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: does every once in a while, these private lessons for tumbling.
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: Cause she's really trying to like move on. And we
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: had to cancel one time the day before and I
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: paid her the full thing. Cause I was just like,
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: that is, that is, she's, that's her job.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: And we canceled. And she doesn't have that set in place,
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: you know. But I think I'm probably too much.
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: My house cleaner, for example, cancels on me like 25%
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: of the time. And I don't do anything about it.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: But I'm just like, okay. You know, I don't know.
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: I just feel like sometimes, personally, it makes things too weird.
- 1:04:58Speaker 3: Or like if I'm texting with a 15-year-old and then
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: I like set forth these rules.
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: Right. Because then you really just have to go to
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: their mom.
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: Like a lot of them, you still pay their mom. Yeah. So,
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: I mean, I, I get it. I get where the
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: babysitter's coming from, but also too, like if you're going
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: to have it that way, then you better, you better
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: not cancel. And if you do, you better have a
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: backup plan for me. Right. You know what I mean?
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: Like it's, you're kind of venturing into these waters where
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: I get it. I get where you're coming from, but
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: you better be careful what you wish for. Because if,
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: if you pull this on us, whoops, if you pull
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: this on us and then, you know, the reverse happens,
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: then how do you deal? Yeah. It's not a one-way street. Right.
- 1:05:35Speaker 3: We're kind of like in the middle phase, too, where
- 1:05:38Speaker 3: so like I had one in a situation one time
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: where I had someone come in. She was a high
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: school girl. And then both my kids kind of like
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: got invited to go do things.
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: Right. And but they were going to come home and
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: get dropped off. And I wasn't going to be there.
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: So I was like, I'm still going to pay you
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: for the whole time. You can just sit there and
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: watch TV.
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: And then she's going to get dropped off after like
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: two hours. And you can just or actually another time
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: Ryder was sick. So like he was home. our plans changed.
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: I didn't go out cause he was sick, but I
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: was like, I'm, I'm just going to go take a
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: nap and you can be here to help him. You know,
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: I try to do something like that, but yeah.
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: Or do some dishes. Yeah. I'll be glad when we
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: don't have to deal with it anymore. I know. It's
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: kind of nice. Yeah. Um, okay. Anything else next week?
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: Just the next two weeks we will be remote because, um,
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: our fearless producer Glenn will be out of town. So
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: we will be coming to you from the Coppola home studio. Okay. Um,
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: All right. I think that's it for now. Okay. All right.
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: Thanks for being with us. Don't forget to sound off.
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: We're going to post the poll. Do you swipe and sniff?
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: Let us know, guys. Mom game out. Mom game out.
