Mega Edition: Deutsche Bank And The Non Existent Epstein Related Compliance (9/11/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

0:01
Speaker 1: In news that should come as a shock to nobody,
0:04
Speaker 1: Deutsche Bank has been smacked with a $ 150 million penalty
0:10
Speaker 1: for their ties to Jeffrey Epstein. If you've been listening
0:13
Speaker 1: to this podcast for a while, then you know that
0:16
Speaker 1: I have been railing about the financial crimes in this case.
0:21
Speaker 1: And I believe that the financial crimes in this case
0:24
Speaker 1: will be the crimes that bring the enablers down. All
0:29
Speaker 1: of their finances are tied up. Everybody Jeffrey Epstein was
0:33
Speaker 1: sending money to, or receiving money from, or anybody in
0:37
Speaker 1: the organization, well, that is all dirty money. And if
0:42
Speaker 1: you receive that money, well, you are now part of
0:45
Speaker 1: this conspiracy. And that is how these financial crimes are investigated,
0:53
Speaker 1: and that's how they're prosecuted. So, At the end of
0:57
Speaker 1: the day, all of these enablers that we're always talking about,
1:00
Speaker 1: that were hangers-on, you know, people that were receiving money
1:03
Speaker 1: from Epstein, you know, going to his parties, had business
1:06
Speaker 1: dealings with him, not the ones that were engaging in
1:09
Speaker 1: the actual trafficking or the facilitating of the trafficking, but
1:13
Speaker 1: the enablers, the other tier I'm always talking about. Those
1:17
Speaker 1: are the people that seen this news today, that Deutsche
1:21
Speaker 1: Bank got hit with $ 150 million slap, and those are
1:24
Speaker 1: the people that are panicking. Because remember, when you follow
1:29
Speaker 1: the money, you usually end up at a politician. And
1:35
Speaker 1: that's what's happening here. It looks like, you know, I've
1:37
Speaker 1: been talking about forensic accountants as well. And it certainly
1:40
Speaker 1: seems that there is something going on behind the scenes
1:43
Speaker 1: where they are starting to trace down these transactions, where
1:51
Speaker 1: they came from and where they went.
1:53
Speaker 2: It is all a huge part of this.
1:55
Speaker 1: And I know for a fact right now that all
1:58
Speaker 1: of these enablers that were involved with Epstein, people like
2:01
Speaker 1: Jess Staley, Leon Black, Glenn Dubin, all of these people
2:09
Speaker 1: that were involved with him financially are really, really not
2:15
Speaker 1: having a good day today. Because this is a big deal.
2:18
Speaker 1: This is a predicate to Rico, right? And I don't
2:22
Speaker 1: mean Rico as far as the child trafficking portion of this.
2:26
Speaker 1: I'm talking about financial RICO crimes. These are the crimes
2:30
Speaker 1: that they end up taking down all the mafioso on, right? Oh,
2:33
Speaker 1: they'll charge them with murder and conspiracy to commit murder,
2:36
Speaker 1: but they usually end up nailing them on financial crimes.
2:42
Speaker 1: And that's what's going to happen to these enablers if
2:45
Speaker 1: this investigation is carried out the correct way. Now, we
2:51
Speaker 1: all know that I'm skeptical of the federal government And
2:54
Speaker 1: I am skeptical of the way they've conducted themselves from
2:56
Speaker 1: the very beginning.
2:57
Speaker 2: I will remain skeptical.
3:00
Speaker 1: But what I am seeing here, like I said a
3:02
Speaker 1: few weeks ago before Maxwell was arrested, remember? Everybody else
3:05
Speaker 1: was talking about how Maxwell's not going to get arrested.
3:08
Speaker 1: We're not going to get justice. She's in Paris. She
3:10
Speaker 1: has extradition protection. Blah, blah, blah, blah.
3:16
Speaker 2: Negative.
3:18
Speaker 1: We are four months away from an election. There is
3:21
Speaker 1: immense pressure. on the SDNY to do the right thing
3:25
Speaker 1: in this case. And, I'll tell you this much right now,
3:31
Speaker 1: everybody should be scared. Because we have no idea what
3:34
Speaker 1: the future holds in this country as far as elections go, right?
3:38
Speaker 1: It could be a whole different ballgame in four months.
3:42
Speaker 1: But as of right now, I'm seeing signs that this
3:45
Speaker 1: investigation is actually coming to life. That this investigation is
3:48
Speaker 1: starting to follow the money. And when that occurs, and
3:53
Speaker 1: the money is truly followed, you always end up in
3:56
Speaker 1: the office of some scumbag politician who is running some
4:02
Speaker 1: sort of scumbag scheme, which inevitably is no good for
4:08
Speaker 1: anybody but them and their few friends. Today's article is
4:14
Speaker 1: from CNBC.com, and the headline is, Deutsche Bank hit with
4:18
Speaker 1: $ 150 million penalty for relationship to sex offender, pedophile, Jeffrey Epstein.
4:25
Speaker 1: This article was authored by Dan Mangan and Jim Forkin.
4:32
Speaker 1: New York State financial regulators said Tuesday that they have
4:35
Speaker 1: slapped Deutsche Bank with a $ 150 million penalty for significant
4:38
Speaker 1: compliance failures in the bank's dealings with the accused child
4:42
Speaker 1: sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, a now-dead investor, as well as
4:47
Speaker 1: with two client banks.
4:49
Speaker 2: Folks, this is.
4:51
Speaker 1: Such bad news for them, but such good news for
4:54
Speaker 1: the investigation and for the survivor's legal teams. If you
4:58
Speaker 1: don't think that the survivor's legal teams... are digging into
5:02
Speaker 1: this and looking for every single angle to make sure
5:05
Speaker 1: that every single bit of punishment is dropped on the
5:10
Speaker 1: heads of these people, you are wrong. Now, I don't
5:14
Speaker 1: have any inside information about that, right? Like, I don't
5:16
Speaker 1: talk to the lawyers or anything, but you would think
5:19
Speaker 1: by the way that they've conducted themselves throughout this whole
5:22
Speaker 1: entire ordeal, how they've had all of their ducks in
5:25
Speaker 1: a row and how everything has been very targeted, that
5:29
Speaker 1: they're certainly keeping a very good eye on this, and
5:33
Speaker 1: this kind of ruling most certainly will trickle into the
5:39
Speaker 1: actual criminal portion of this case. The New York State
5:43
Speaker 1: Department of Financial Services said that Deutsche Bank, which agreed
5:47
Speaker 1: to the payment under a consent order, failed to properly
5:50
Speaker 1: monitor account activity conducted on behalf of the registered sex
5:54
Speaker 1: offender despite ample public information about Mr. Epstein's earlier criminal conduct.
6:01
Speaker 1: And now remember, previously I talked a lot about regulations, right?
6:04
Speaker 1: Title 31. I talked about SARS. I talked a little
6:08
Speaker 1: bit about Title 18. And how all of these things
6:12
Speaker 1: are tools that are used by investigators for financial crimes.
6:17
Speaker 2: And it's obvious to anyone paying.
6:19
Speaker 1: Attention that Deutsche Bank was not hitting this guy with
6:23
Speaker 1: suspicious activity reports today. nowhere near at the pace they
6:28
Speaker 1: should have been. Now, there might have been one or
6:30
Speaker 1: two that were filed by regulators that might not have
6:32
Speaker 1: been in the know, like as a mistake or something.
6:35
Speaker 1: But we know that Deutsche Bank and JP Morgan weren't
6:39
Speaker 1: keeping things up to date in the FinCEN database.
6:41
Speaker 2: We know that.
6:42
Speaker 1: And we know that they're right here. They're being told
6:45
Speaker 1: that they were facilitating this. They were involved in this.
6:48
Speaker 1: And I don't think $ 150 million, while it's a good
6:50
Speaker 1: slap in the mouth, I don't think it's good enough. Furthermore,
6:55
Speaker 1: I think that $ 150 million should not go to the
6:57
Speaker 1: state of New York. That $ 150 million should be put
7:00
Speaker 1: into the pool, the estate pool, and the survivors should
7:04
Speaker 1: get that as well. The big settlement comes days after
7:09
Speaker 1: Epstein's alleged procurer, co-conspirator, all-around child molester, sick broad Ghislaine
7:15
Speaker 1: Maxwell was arrested on federal charges that accuse her of
7:18
Speaker 1: helping him get access to and groom underage girls so
7:22
Speaker 1: he could sexually abuse them. And this stuff doesn't happen
7:26
Speaker 1: in a vacuum, right? All of this stuff's coming out
7:29
Speaker 1: now because the assault is on. And with Ghislaine Maxwell,
7:33
Speaker 1: the head of the snake, being decapitated, you know that
7:36
Speaker 1: the push is coming. So we'll see this kind of
7:40
Speaker 1: thing start to happen more often and probably at a
7:43
Speaker 1: quick clip. The news is fast and heavy right now
7:46
Speaker 1: with this case. And there is a lot of disinformation
7:49
Speaker 1: out there as well. So please be on the lookout
7:51
Speaker 1: for that kind of stuff. Such nonsense as Dr. Fauci's
7:55
Speaker 1: involved in this case.
7:56
Speaker 2: I mean, come on, really?
7:58
Speaker 1: So there is a lot of disinformation right now. But
8:02
Speaker 1: when you're seeing this real tangent news come out, this
8:05
Speaker 1: news that's applicable to what is going on in this case,
8:09
Speaker 1: you just have to smile if you've been following things.
8:13
Speaker 1: I know I have been very, very hard on the
8:16
Speaker 1: federal government. Super hard on them because it's filled with
8:19
Speaker 1: all sorts of snakes and disgusting people, right? And when
8:25
Speaker 1: it comes to the Department of Justice, forget about it.
8:28
Speaker 1: They're a laughingstock. But every now and then, shit'll go right.
8:33
Speaker 2: All I hope here.
8:35
Speaker 1: is that we continue to see progress the way we're
8:37
Speaker 1: seeing lately. And if this is any indication, this settlement,
8:40
Speaker 1: Ghislaine being arrested, Brian Vickers going dark with his social media,
8:46
Speaker 1: then folks, there is a lot more coming. The question is,
8:52
Speaker 1: how much and when? The state said it was the
8:56
Speaker 1: first enforcement action by a regulator against financial institutions for
9:01
Speaker 1: dealing with Epstein. Now remember, Barclays and Jess Staley, who
9:05
Speaker 1: I have been all over, are also getting a good
9:08
Speaker 1: hard look right now, but by financial regulators in London.
9:13
Speaker 1: And with all of this stuff coming forward now, all
9:15
Speaker 1: of the girls that were abused in London coming forward,
9:18
Speaker 1: it's going to put immense pressure on the regulators in
9:21
Speaker 1: England to also slap Barclays. And we gotta make sure
9:26
Speaker 1: that JP Morgan doesn't escape this because Epstein was with
9:29
Speaker 1: JP Morgan for years and they facilitated so many of
9:34
Speaker 1: his financial transactions. The consent order covers Deutsche Bank's relationship
9:40
Speaker 1: with Epstein and correspondent banking relationships with Dansk Bank Estonia
9:45
Speaker 1: and FBME Bank. Deutsche Bank maintained a relationship with Epstein
9:52
Speaker 1: as well as with related individuals and entities from August
9:56
Speaker 1: 2013 until December of 2018. And remember, 2013 is when
9:58
Speaker 1: JP Morgan jettisoned him. I know it's a coincidence that
10:05
Speaker 1: Jess Staley had happened to leave at that time, right?
10:08
Speaker 1: That JP Morgan decided after Jess Staley, Epstein's top facilitator,
10:12
Speaker 1: left that, you know, we're going to jettison him. We're
10:15
Speaker 1: not going to work with him anymore. As if that's
10:17
Speaker 1: going to save everything. As if that's going to make
10:19
Speaker 1: you look better. We're on to you. We know the deal.
10:23
Speaker 1: And we're not going to let you get off. These
10:26
Speaker 1: disgusting-ass financial institutions all got off after the financial meltdown.
10:31
Speaker 1: Nobody went to jail. None of these banksters were ever prosecuted.
10:36
Speaker 1: And they just went on with their nonsense. Well, now
10:40
Speaker 1: your chickens are coming home to roost as well. And
10:43
Speaker 1: all of these bankers that had financial ties to Jeffrey
10:45
Speaker 1: Epstein and who were dumping money into his accounts and
10:48
Speaker 1: helping him facilitate these transactions, every one of them should
10:51
Speaker 1: be smashed with RICO indictments. Deutsche Bank maintained a relationship
11:01
Speaker 1: with Epstein as well as with related individuals and entities
11:04
Speaker 1: from August 2013 until December of 2018 when the bank
11:09
Speaker 1: ended its dealings with him after the Miami Herald published
11:12
Speaker 1: a series of stories about a federal non-prosecution deal that
11:16
Speaker 1: Epstein obtained in 2008 in Florida. And that's such bullshit, okay? Look,
11:23
Speaker 1: the Miami Herald did good work, there is no doubt, right?
11:26
Speaker 1: They did good work bringing this story to the forefront.
11:28
Speaker 1: But for these institutions to say they had no idea
11:31
Speaker 1: what was going on until the Miami Herald broke this story,
11:34
Speaker 1: it is so ridiculous that they would think that any
11:37
Speaker 1: one of us would believe that. When Jeffrey Epstein was
11:41
Speaker 1: getting arrested the first time, it was a pretty big deal.
11:46
Speaker 1: and a much bigger deal to these financial institutions that
11:49
Speaker 1: know that they had ties to him. They escaped the
11:54
Speaker 1: guillotine the first time around. This time, they are not
11:58
Speaker 1: going to be able to wiggle their way out because
12:01
Speaker 1: their lapdogs in the legacy media no longer control this narrative.
12:13
Speaker 1: Over time, Deutsche Bank handled more than 40 accounts related
12:16
Speaker 1: to Epstein and related people and entities. The Financial Services
12:20
Speaker 1: Department said that because of the bank's oversight failure with Epstein,
12:24
Speaker 1: the bank processed hundreds of transactions totaling millions of dollars that,
12:28
Speaker 1: at the very least, should have prompted additional scrutiny in
12:31
Speaker 1: light of Mr.
12:32
Speaker 2: Epstein's history.
12:33
Speaker 1: So basically what they're saying is nobody filed any suspicious
12:37
Speaker 1: activity reports, the FinCEN database was completely neglected, and Jeffrey
12:41
Speaker 1: Epstein was given free rein to launder and funnel money
12:46
Speaker 1: through Deutsche Bank. Those transactions include payments to people who
12:54
Speaker 1: were publicly alleged to have Epstein's co-conspirators in sexually abusing
12:58
Speaker 1: young women and settlements totaling more than $ 7 million and
13:02
Speaker 1: payments to law firms of more than $ 6 million for
13:05
Speaker 1: what appear to have been the legal expense of Mr.
13:08
Speaker 1: Epstein and his co-conspirators, the department said. Well, isn't that nice?
13:13
Speaker 1: The transactions, the payments to people who were publicly alleged
13:16
Speaker 1: to have been part of the conspiracy, that is RICO, okay?
13:22
Speaker 2: What more do they need? These are all RICO predicates.
13:30
Speaker 1: All of these people that received money from Jeffrey Epstein,
13:33
Speaker 1: I don't know how much more clear I need to be,
13:35
Speaker 1: need to be smashed with RICO indictments yesterday. All of
13:39
Speaker 1: this money is connected and it was all derived from
13:42
Speaker 1: ill-gotten gains. Nobody knows where Epstein was making his money.
13:45
Speaker 1: He wasn't some mensch in the stock market, right? He's
13:49
Speaker 1: not the Oracle of Omaha.
13:54
Speaker 2: So where did the money come from?
13:57
Speaker 1: We all know where it came from. We all know
14:00
Speaker 1: it all came from their criminal organization. And then that
14:04
Speaker 1: money was filtered through these banks, laundered, washed up, and
14:08
Speaker 1: deposited in one of these front offshore businesses or one
14:12
Speaker 1: of these banks that Epstein opened up with the help
14:14
Speaker 1: of the regulators in places like the Virgin Islands.
14:19
Speaker 2: Rico.
14:21
Speaker 1: Not Uncle Rico, by the way, from Napoleon Dynamite. I
14:24
Speaker 1: am talking THE Rico. Can we get some, please? Other
14:30
Speaker 1: payments were made to Russian models, payments for women's school tuition,
14:34
Speaker 1: hotel and rent expenses, and consistent with public allegations of
14:37
Speaker 1: prior wrongdoing, payments directly to numerous women with Eastern European surnames,
14:43
Speaker 1: according to the department. Now, I hope that all of
14:46
Speaker 1: these Eastern European women that were abused by him have
14:50
Speaker 1: some sort of way to reach out and get involved
14:54
Speaker 1: in the compensation fund. Because these are the no-named women
14:57
Speaker 1: I'm always talking about. Whatever happened to these girls? Where
15:00
Speaker 1: did they go? How did their lives end up? And
15:04
Speaker 1: now that there's a little light at the end of
15:07
Speaker 1: the tunnel for the survivors, and there's a couple of
15:10
Speaker 1: bucks coming their way, I think that these unnamed girls
15:13
Speaker 1: should get a little peace, right? Because what they went through,
15:17
Speaker 1: I can't even begin to try and understand. Imagine coming
15:23
Speaker 1: from one of these war-torn Eastern European countries and you
15:26
Speaker 1: come to America and you think everything's gonna be good
15:29
Speaker 1: and you have this great opportunity to become a model
15:32
Speaker 1: and work with some of these agencies and you have
15:34
Speaker 1: an agent now and you're gonna be able to send
15:36
Speaker 1: money back to your family and then you get to America,
15:41
Speaker 1: the shining city on the hill and you're put into
15:45
Speaker 1: a little apartment where you sleep on the floor and
15:48
Speaker 1: if you don't go out and turn tricks for these guys,
15:50
Speaker 1: you don't get any money and all of those dreams,
15:53
Speaker 1: And all of those aspirations crushed under the heel of
15:58
Speaker 1: this sick, disgusting pervert, Jeffrey Epstein and his pal Ghislaine Maxwell.
16:05
Speaker 1: And all of these European girls, the forgotten girls as
16:09
Speaker 1: I like to call them, should come forward and get
16:13
Speaker 1: themselves involved in this settlement process.
16:15
Speaker 2: Because they deserve it as well.
16:18
Speaker 1: All noted were Epstein's periodic suspicious cash withdrawals in total
16:23
Speaker 1: more than $ 800, 000 over approximately four years, the department said. Now,
16:30
Speaker 1: all of those transactions should be marked down on a CTR,
16:34
Speaker 1: a Title 31 CTR. Anything over $ 10, 000 and one cents
16:38
Speaker 1: must be, must be reported. No ifs, ands, or buts.
16:44
Speaker 1: I don't care how rich you are. I don't care
16:46
Speaker 1: how powerful you are. When you reach the threshold, that
16:50
Speaker 1: amount must be reported. And obviously, all of these transactions
16:54
Speaker 1: went under the table. All of these transactions occurred in
16:58
Speaker 1: the months and years after August 2013, when in preparation
17:03
Speaker 1: for Epstein's accounts being shifted to Deutsche Bank, a junior
17:06
Speaker 1: relationship coordinator on the Epstein account prepared a memorandum for
17:10
Speaker 1: a relationship manager... at the bank to be sent to
17:12
Speaker 1: the bank's then co-head of the Wealth Management America's group
17:18
Speaker 1: and the chief's operating officer of the Wealth Management America's unit,
17:21
Speaker 1: the consent order notes. So all of those people who
17:26
Speaker 1: okayed this, they're all in big trouble. Every one of
17:29
Speaker 1: these people need to be investigated. Do they have any
17:32
Speaker 1: personal ties to Epstein? Was Epstein funneling money to them
17:35
Speaker 1: on the side? Were they catching any loot on the
17:38
Speaker 1: come up if Epstein was steering business their direction? These
17:41
Speaker 1: are all questions that must be asked. That memo contained
17:47
Speaker 1: information about Epstein's prior state sex crime case in Florida,
17:51
Speaker 1: noting he was charged with soliciting an underage prostitute in
17:55
Speaker 1: 2007 and that he served 13 months of his 18-month
17:57
Speaker 1: sentence and that Epstein was accused of paying young women
18:00
Speaker 1: for massages in his Florida home, the consent order said.
18:05
Speaker 1: It also highlights that Mr. Epstein was involved in 17
18:08
Speaker 1: out-of-court civil settlements related to his conduct in the 2007 conviction,
18:13
Speaker 1: the consent order said of the memo. In an email
18:16
Speaker 1: to the two bank executives who included the memorandum as
18:19
Speaker 1: an attachment, the relationship manager noted how lucrative the relationship
18:24
Speaker 1: could be, stating, estimated flows of $ 100 to $ 300 million
18:27
Speaker 1: over time, possibly more, with revenue of $ 2 to $ 4
18:31
Speaker 1: million annually over time, the consent order said. Again, it's
18:34
Speaker 1: all about money for these people, these sick bastards, these
18:37
Speaker 1: banking institutions, these banksters. They don't care about people. They
18:41
Speaker 1: don't care about human beings. They certainly don't care about survivors.
18:45
Speaker 1: So if anybody's shocked that these banksters would be involved
18:48
Speaker 1: with this sort of shit, well, I'm sorry that the
18:51
Speaker 1: red pill had to be so.
18:53
Speaker 2: Rough for you.
18:54
Speaker 1: Because we are surrounded by evil, evil people, folks, everywhere
18:59
Speaker 1: we turn. In the same email, the bank's relationship manager
19:04
Speaker 1: proposed that all Epstein-related accounts be for entities affiliated with Mr. Epstein,
19:10
Speaker 1: not personal accounts, the consent order noted. The order noted
19:14
Speaker 1: that banks are required to have anti-money laundering controls in
19:17
Speaker 1: place and that they also are required to monitor their
19:20
Speaker 1: customers to prevent them from facilitating criminal activity.
19:24
Speaker 2: They did none of that.
19:25
Speaker 1: The oversight when it comes to these personal banking divisions
19:29
Speaker 1: is lax. basically non-existent because what's going on is everybody's
19:34
Speaker 1: a bazillion trillionaire and they're all wheeling and dealing. And
19:37
Speaker 1: these managers who are in control of these accounts like
19:41
Speaker 1: Jeff Staley, all they care about is stacking another couple
19:44
Speaker 1: of million in their bankroll. They don't care about being
19:47
Speaker 1: morally correct. They don't care about being compassionate to survivors
19:52
Speaker 1: or to the people that Epstein abused.
19:54
Speaker 2: No way. It's all about those dollars.
19:59
Speaker 1: State Financial Services Superintendent Linda Lacewell said in a prepared
20:03
Speaker 1: statement that In each of the cases that are being
20:05
Speaker 1: resolved today, Deutsche Bank failed to adequately monitor the activity
20:10
Speaker 1: of customers that the bank itself deemed to be high risk.
20:13
Speaker 1: In the case of Jeffrey Epstein in particular, despite knowing Mr.
20:17
Speaker 1: Epstein's terrible criminal history, the bank's inexcusable failed to detect
20:24
Speaker 1: or prevent millions of dollars of suspicious transactions, Lacewell said.
20:28
Speaker 1: 150 million is not enough. They got to be slapped
20:32
Speaker 1: with much more stringent penalties. The State Financial Services Department
20:39
Speaker 1: said it concluded that Deutsche Bank failed to monitor the
20:42
Speaker 1: activities of their bank clients, Dansk Estonia and FBME with
20:46
Speaker 1: respect to their correspondent and dollar clearing business. Dollar clearing business, huh?
20:52
Speaker 1: Sounds like code word for washing money. The department noted
20:57
Speaker 1: that Dansk Estonia is at the center of one of
20:59
Speaker 1: the world's largest money laundering scandals and had control failures
21:03
Speaker 1: that led to large amounts of money being transferred on
21:06
Speaker 1: behalf of Russian oligarchs. Deutsche Bank is so wrapped up
21:10
Speaker 1: with so much dirty money from so many corners of
21:14
Speaker 1: the world that it's not even funny. We could do
21:17
Speaker 1: a whole entire day of podcasts on Deutsche Bank and
21:20
Speaker 1: their financial crimes. Over the course of the years long
21:25
Speaker 1: relationship between Deutsche Bank and Dansk Estonia, Deutsche Bank was
21:29
Speaker 1: repeatedly put on notice of these failings and of the
21:32
Speaker 1: fact that few improvements were undertaken by Dansk Estonia, the
21:35
Speaker 1: department said. Despite the fact that Deutsche Bank assigned Dansk
21:39
Speaker 1: Estonia its highest possible risk rating, Deutsche Bank failed to
21:42
Speaker 1: take appropriate action to prevent Dansk Estonia from transferring billions
21:47
Speaker 1: of dollars of suspicious transactions through Deutsche Bank accounts in
21:51
Speaker 1: New York. Wow. This is so significant. This is such
21:57
Speaker 1: an absolute shitshow. The regulator also said that Deutsche Bank's
22:04
Speaker 1: relationship with FBME represented a similar failure to act on
22:09
Speaker 1: red flags from a high-risk client that required annual enhanced
22:14
Speaker 1: anti-money laundering checks. There you go, folks. Right there for
22:19
Speaker 1: you to see yourself. They're calling it what it is here.
22:22
Speaker 1: It's buried a little bit in the article, but it's
22:25
Speaker 1: a money laundering scheme. It is most certainly that. Despite
22:29
Speaker 1: these checks, there was little evidence that FBME improved the
22:33
Speaker 1: quality of its controls over several years, the financial services
22:38
Speaker 1: department said. Deutsche Bank CEO Christian Soeing, in an internal
22:42
Speaker 1: communication to all bank staff about the settlement, said, today
22:45
Speaker 1: serves as a reminder of how vigilant we must remain.
22:49
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, sure, now let's remain vigilant.
22:52
Speaker 1: Nobody's buying it, Deutsche Bank is on the hook, and
22:55
Speaker 1: you're not going to wiggle off this time. It not
22:58
Speaker 1: only marks the anniversary of our compete-to-win strategy, but also
23:02
Speaker 1: our settlement just announced with the New York Department of
23:05
Speaker 1: Financial Services, resolving investigations into our controls and processes in
23:10
Speaker 1: the fight against financial crime, Suing said. Oh boy, if
23:13
Speaker 1: you think that this is over, Mr. Suing, you are
23:16
Speaker 1: not paying attention. He noted that the settlements cover three issues,
23:21
Speaker 1: Dance Bank, the Federal Bank of the Middle East, and
23:23
Speaker 1: our former business relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. Onboarding the latter
23:29
Speaker 1: as a client in 2013 was a critical mistake and
23:32
Speaker 1: should never have.
23:33
Speaker 2: Happened, the CEO said. Hindsight's 20-20, my man. That's not
23:37
Speaker 2: good enough for me.
23:38
Speaker 1: I certainly will never do any business with your institution,
23:41
Speaker 1: nor will I do business with Barclays. In fact, I
23:44
Speaker 1: like to use local federal credit unions at this point
23:47
Speaker 1: because every one of these banks is absolutely and utterly corrupt.
23:54
Speaker 1: A Deutsche Bank spokesman said, We acknowledge our error of
23:57
Speaker 1: onboarding Epstein in 2013 and the weaknesses in our processes
24:02
Speaker 1: and have learned from our mistakes and shortcomings. The spokesman
24:06
Speaker 1: said that immediately after Epstein's arrest on child sex trafficking
24:09
Speaker 1: charges in July 2019, the bank contacted law enforcement and
24:14
Speaker 1: offered our full assistance with their investigation. Why did you
24:17
Speaker 1: even take him on as a client in 2013? You
24:20
Speaker 1: knew what he was, you knew what he did, and
24:22
Speaker 1: you took him on anyway. Nice try backtracking here, but
24:26
Speaker 1: we're not going to let it slide. Questions must be
24:30
Speaker 1: asked and questions must be answered. We have been fully
24:35
Speaker 1: transparent and have addressed these matters with our regulator, adjusted
24:39
Speaker 1: our risk tolerance, and systematically tackled the issues, the spokesman said. Look,
24:46
Speaker 1: your internal investigations are garbage, okay? Point blank, period. Nobody
24:51
Speaker 1: believes you're going to stringently investigate yourself.
24:53
Speaker 2: Stop it.
24:55
Speaker 1: Epstein, 66, died last August in a federal jail in
24:59
Speaker 1: Manhattan from what authorities ruled was a suicide by hanging
25:03
Speaker 1: after being denied bail in his criminal case, where he
25:06
Speaker 1: was charged with child trafficking and conspiracy to commit child
25:10
Speaker 1: sex trafficking. The multimillionaire, pedophile, investor was a former friend
25:15
Speaker 1: of Presidents Donald Trump and Bill Clinton, as well as
25:18
Speaker 1: Britain's Prince Andrew. And that's just the beginning of it
25:25
Speaker 1: with the friends, right? Jeffrey Epstein had quite the collection
25:31
Speaker 1: of friends. All the pictures on the walls, all the
25:34
Speaker 1: people he hung out with, the people on his plane,
25:37
Speaker 1: the people at his island, the people in.
25:40
Speaker 2: New Mexico, etc., etc.
25:43
Speaker 1: He also was a registered sex offender, having pleaded guilty
25:48
Speaker 1: to Florida state charges in 2008, one of which was
25:51
Speaker 1: related to paying for sexual services from an underage girl.
25:55
Speaker 1: Epstein served 13 months in jail in that case, a
25:58
Speaker 1: bit much of the time was free on work release.
26:01
Speaker 1: Last week, Maxwell was arrested on federal charges while holed
26:04
Speaker 1: up at a $ 1 million getaway in New Hampshire. prosecutors
26:08
Speaker 1: in New York say that in the mid-90s, Maxwell helped
26:10
Speaker 1: Epstein get access to and groom underage girls so that
26:14
Speaker 1: they could be sexually abused by him and sometimes with
26:17
Speaker 1: her participation. And we know she was very much involved
26:21
Speaker 1: in that. We know she abused a lot of girls.
26:23
Speaker 1: We know what she did to Annie. And she's not
26:26
Speaker 1: going to be able to slither off of this one.
26:29
Speaker 1: She's not going to be able to get out of
26:30
Speaker 1: this one. She's not going to be able to talk
26:32
Speaker 1: her way out of this. Because guess what? Ghislaine Maxwell...
26:37
Speaker 1: is never going to see the light of day again.
26:38
Speaker 1: I know other people feel differently, etc.
26:42
Speaker 2: etc.
26:43
Speaker 1: but personally, I think that Ghislaine Maxwell was used as
26:48
Speaker 1: an asset by the intelligence agencies. She was burned after
26:53
Speaker 1: the whole entire situation with Epstein the second time around,
26:57
Speaker 1: and now she has been abandoned and discarded to her fate.
27:03
Speaker 2: That's what I believe.
27:04
Speaker 1: And I don't think she is, she doesn't have the
27:06
Speaker 1: pull anymore to get out. So I believe that she
27:09
Speaker 1: will spend the rest of her life behind bars. Maxwell, 58,
27:19
Speaker 1: was transported by authorities to New York City. Her first
27:22
Speaker 1: court appearance in Manhattan Federal Court is set for July 14th.
27:28
Speaker 1: She is currently being held in a federal jail in
27:30
Speaker 1: Brooklyn pending a decision on whether she should be granted bail.
27:34
Speaker 1: prosecutors want her held without bail, calling her an extreme
27:37
Speaker 1: flight risk. And for sure an extreme flight risk. She
27:40
Speaker 1: has connections all over the world. She should not be
27:43
Speaker 1: let out of jail. She should not get bail. She
27:46
Speaker 1: should be forced to sit in there and rot. Because
27:51
Speaker 1: she is a danger to the community. She is a
27:54
Speaker 1: danger as a flight risk. And she has spent way
27:58
Speaker 1: too many days living the high life. It is now
28:01
Speaker 1: time that she begins to understand that that part of
28:05
Speaker 1: her life is over and the new part of her life,
28:10
Speaker 1: the one that, well, includes a jumpsuit and a jail
28:15
Speaker 1: cell and some solitary confinement, that part of her life
28:20
Speaker 1: has just begun. If you'd like to contact me, you
28:24
Speaker 1: can do that at BobbyCapucci at ProtonMail.com. That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at ProtonMail.com.
28:33
Speaker 1: You can also find me on Twitter at B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I.
28:38
Speaker 1: Inside of the description, everyone, and welcome back to the
28:41
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. One of the most fascinating parts of this
28:46
Speaker 1: whole entire case is Jeffrey Epstein's money. Where did he
28:51
Speaker 1: get all of this money? How did he accrue such
28:54
Speaker 1: a fortune? And what was he doing offshore with all
28:58
Speaker 1: of this money? And furthermore, where is all of this
29:01
Speaker 1: money now? We have heard that the estate was worth, what,
29:06
Speaker 1: $ 640 million roughly? Do you really believe that's all this
29:09
Speaker 1: man had? That was all the money that Jeffrey Epstein
29:13
Speaker 1: had squirreled away.
29:15
Speaker 2: In all of these years.
29:16
Speaker 1: Considering that Leon Black himself had given Jeffrey Epstein $ 158 million,
29:23
Speaker 1: it would lead me to believe that a guy like Epstein,
29:25
Speaker 1: who is making all of these financial moves, is not
29:28
Speaker 1: just going to sit on his dough. He's going to
29:30
Speaker 1: invest that money, he's going to launder that money, and
29:34
Speaker 1: he's going to use that money to keep his criminal
29:36
Speaker 1: empire going. Now, the question is, how much liability do
29:40
Speaker 1: these banks have for funding people like Jeffrey Epstein or
29:45
Speaker 1: cartels or other criminal organizations? We've seen these banks get
29:48
Speaker 1: absolutely smacked with lawsuits. We've seen them get killed with fines.
29:53
Speaker 1: But nobody ever.
29:54
Speaker 2: Goes to prison.
29:56
Speaker 1: How is it that these people... that are running around
30:00
Speaker 1: in these hallways of power in the financial sector are
30:03
Speaker 1: always immune to prosecution. If it's a well-known fact that
30:08
Speaker 1: a bank like Deutsche Bank was in bed with Epstein
30:10
Speaker 1: and facilitated his whole entire operation, then doesn't that lead
30:15
Speaker 1: you to think that somebody might be held responsible over there?
30:19
Speaker 1: You know, the bank itself isn't a living and breathing entity.
30:22
Speaker 1: There is actually, you know, people who work for this
30:25
Speaker 1: bank who are giving the OK for these transactions, who are,
30:29
Speaker 1: you know, involved in all of it. But yet we
30:31
Speaker 1: don't hear anything about them facing any consequences. What happens
30:36
Speaker 1: is there's a shuffling up the deck. Maybe one of
30:38
Speaker 1: them leaves the current company, but they always land on
30:40
Speaker 1: their feet and they always fall out of the plane
30:43
Speaker 1: with a golden parachute. Today we have an article from
30:47
Speaker 1: 2019 talking about Jeffrey Epstein, his tainted money, and Deutsche Bank.
30:54
Speaker 1: This article is from The Observer. Headline, Jeffrey Epstein borrowed
30:58
Speaker 1: tainted money from Deutsche Bank, says former mentor. The origins
31:03
Speaker 1: of Jeffrey Epstein's financial empire remains a mystery, even to billionaires.
31:08
Speaker 1: This article was authored by Davis Richardson, and it was
31:12
Speaker 1: published on the 9th of July, 2019. The origins of
31:19
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's financial empire remain a mystery to even billionaires.
31:24
Speaker 1: But the investor's former Wall Street mentor has one theory
31:27
Speaker 1: about how Epstein amassed his fortune.
31:30
Speaker 2: Fraud.
31:30
Speaker 1: That really is the biggest and most likeliest circumstance, right?
31:37
Speaker 1: That he enriched himself by using means of fraud. He
31:41
Speaker 1: didn't have a whole Rolodex of clients, at least that
31:44
Speaker 1: we knew about. So how is he getting this money?
31:47
Speaker 1: My guess is all kinds of wire fraud, all kinds of,
31:51
Speaker 1: you know, IPOs, all kinds of grimy ass stock trades,
31:55
Speaker 1: you name it. He was in on it because for
31:58
Speaker 1: all of his faults, Epstein certainly was somebody who knew
32:01
Speaker 1: how to manipulate Wall Street and how to play this
32:04
Speaker 1: offshore game. In a phone interview with Observer, Steve Hoffenberg
32:09
Speaker 1: alleged Epstein participated in a Ponzi scheme the two ran
32:13
Speaker 1: together in the 80s before using the ill-gotten gains to
32:17
Speaker 1: launch his investment company with the help of financial loans
32:20
Speaker 1: from Deutsche Bank. Now, in the real world, when you
32:24
Speaker 1: use ill-gotten gains to start a company or a business, well,
32:27
Speaker 1: that company or business gets seized by the federal government.
32:31
Speaker 1: And it's very suspicious to me that none of these
32:35
Speaker 1: companies that Epstein set up, Liquid Limited or any of
32:38
Speaker 1: these other companies, none of them were seized by the
32:40
Speaker 1: federal government.
32:42
Speaker 2: Why not?
32:43
Speaker 1: Why didn't the government go for the gusto and chase
32:46
Speaker 1: down all of these financial ties? You mean to tell
32:48
Speaker 1: me there were no digital receipts that tied Epstein to
32:51
Speaker 1: any of these other well-placed bankers or people in the
32:55
Speaker 1: financial sector who might have, you know, facilitated his bullshit?
32:59
Speaker 1: Of course there are. That's why we didn't see it.
33:03
Speaker 1: And that's why we're still here talking about this so
33:05
Speaker 1: many years later, folks. It's a very simplistic financial fraud
33:11
Speaker 1: that he concealed from everybody that gave him tainted money,
33:14
Speaker 1: said Hoffenberg. He never told anybody, and I literally mean anybody,
33:20
Speaker 1: that gave him any money since he left Towers that
33:22
Speaker 1: he was part of Towers. And that's a securities fraud
33:25
Speaker 1: because when you take money from people, you have to
33:28
Speaker 1: tell them your history. And that's a fact. If you're
33:32
Speaker 1: going to work as a financial broker or somebody on
33:34
Speaker 1: Wall Street, you have to be transparent. And if you
33:38
Speaker 1: have had issues with the SEC or other agencies in
33:42
Speaker 1: the past, you have to be upfront about that. So basically,
33:45
Speaker 1: Epstein was committing wire and security fraud this whole entire time,
33:50
Speaker 1: and he was able to do so. Now, the going
33:53
Speaker 1: theory is he was able to do so because he
33:55
Speaker 1: had turned informant for the federal government. Now, there is
33:59
Speaker 1: also the thought pattern that he was also an asset
34:02
Speaker 1: for intelligence. And I find that both of those theories track.
34:07
Speaker 1: One thing's for sure, he certainly did work for the
34:09
Speaker 1: government as an informant. That's, it's not even debatable. Now,
34:13
Speaker 1: the other stuff, we don't really have rock solid proof, right?
34:18
Speaker 1: but we do know from circumstantial evidence and from people
34:22
Speaker 1: who have been around Epstein, people who say they have
34:25
Speaker 1: worked with Epstein, that he certainly was somebody who was
34:28
Speaker 1: connected to the intelligence apparatus as well. So I have
34:33
Speaker 1: always said, and I maintain this position to this day,
34:36
Speaker 1: that Epstein certainly was an asset. As far as was
34:39
Speaker 1: he Mossad or CIA.
34:42
Speaker 2: I don't think so. You know, a real spy. I
34:44
Speaker 2: don't think that.
34:46
Speaker 1: But I do think he was engaging in this operation
34:49
Speaker 1: to build profiles and build different sorts of information data
34:56
Speaker 1: banks so that he could use those profiles and use
35:00
Speaker 1: that information to further his own position, to build his
35:04
Speaker 1: own stock. Hoffenberg oversaw Towers Financial but was sentenced to
35:10
Speaker 1: 20 years in jail in 1997 for defrauding clients out
35:13
Speaker 1: of $ 450 million dollars. Although Epstein was never charged in
35:19
Speaker 1: the case, a lawsuit filed last year by former Towers
35:23
Speaker 1: investors lists the financier pedophile as an uncharged co-conspirator and
35:28
Speaker 1: allegedly and alleges he knowingly and intentionally utilized funds from fraudulence,
35:34
Speaker 1: and diverted those funds he obtained from the massive Ponzi
35:37
Speaker 1: scheme for his own personal use to support a lavish lifestyle.
35:42
Speaker 1: And the reason he got off on all of this
35:44
Speaker 1: is because he worked as an informant for the government. Remember,
35:49
Speaker 1: do you really... Listen to who we're talking about here, folks, okay?
35:52
Speaker 1: And I don't mean Epstein. I'm talking about the government.
35:54
Speaker 1: When does the government let anyone off the hook? Never,
35:58
Speaker 1: unless you give something to them in return. And that's
36:01
Speaker 1: what happened here. Epstein was working as an informant as
36:04
Speaker 1: far as in the financial sector. And he, you know,
36:08
Speaker 1: built some relationships with whoever his handler was. I'd really
36:11
Speaker 1: love to see who was handling Jeffrey Epstein. That would
36:14
Speaker 1: really answer some questions, honestly. And the biggest fear I have, folks,
36:20
Speaker 1: is that we never really truly get to the bottom
36:22
Speaker 1: of all of this because nobody's going to be willing
36:24
Speaker 1: to come forward. Maybe we'll have some sort of FBI
36:27
Speaker 1: agent at some point who is like terminally ill or
36:30
Speaker 1: something and decides they have to get this weight off
36:32
Speaker 1: their chest. But I just have no confidence in ever
36:36
Speaker 1: learning the real story, at least the official version of it,
36:40
Speaker 1: because they've shown no interest in giving it to us
36:42
Speaker 1: all of these years. Why would that change now? If
36:48
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein was materially involved in the management of Towers Financial,
36:52
Speaker 1: as his former associate Stephen Hoffenberg has alleged, or he
36:56
Speaker 1: substantially assisted and had knowledge of the Ponzi scheme through
36:59
Speaker 1: various corporate transactions with Towers Financial, then he would be
37:03
Speaker 1: subject to liability for that Ponzi and, further, may have
37:06
Speaker 1: committed securities fraud on his future clients by not disclosing
37:10
Speaker 1: his prior involvement. Jeff Son, a securities attorney and founder
37:15
Speaker 1: of Son Law Group, told Observer, The problem I see
37:18
Speaker 1: is that Hoffenberg waited some 20 years to come forward
37:22
Speaker 1: with these new allegations. And he may have reduced his
37:26
Speaker 1: 18-year sentence by implicating Epstein in the Ponzi scheme back
37:30
Speaker 1: in 94, but didn't do so. Well, a lot of
37:33
Speaker 1: that has to do with Epstein playing ball with the
37:36
Speaker 1: feds at the time. So Epstein was already playing ball. Remember,
37:40
Speaker 1: Epstein had a relationship with these guys from his time
37:43
Speaker 1: with Bear Stearns. Hoffenberg said he did not tell prosecutors
37:49
Speaker 1: because he pleaded guilty at the time, but later came
37:52
Speaker 1: forward because he believed Epstein should pay restitution to Towers investors.
37:56
Speaker 1: Hoffenberg also told Observer that Deutsche Bank provided significant financial
38:01
Speaker 1: loans to Epstein. We know that he was going to
38:04
Speaker 1: Deutsche Bank like it was nobody's business. And we also
38:08
Speaker 1: know that that's where all of the oligarchs were going
38:10
Speaker 1: as well. So... What do you think, that Deutsche Bank
38:14
Speaker 1: was just, you know, a coincidence that all of these
38:16
Speaker 1: scumbags show up here and dump a bunch of dough there?
38:19
Speaker 1: Or is it because Deutsche Bank was friendly to these
38:22
Speaker 1: kinds of people? His lead bank is Deutsche Bank, Germany,
38:28
Speaker 1: that runs lead on his financial trust company. They run
38:31
Speaker 1: the platform in the trading of the currencies for Epstein
38:34
Speaker 1: and with Epstein. He never disclosed to the investors that
38:37
Speaker 1: provide the money to Deutsche Bank his true legacy, that
38:40
Speaker 1: security fraud, said Hoffenberg, and that makes the government available
38:44
Speaker 1: to seize all of his money, literally all of his money.
38:48
Speaker 1: He's not going to be able to use his money
38:49
Speaker 1: because he's got to go to a restitution fund because
38:53
Speaker 1: it's tainted money. Well, yeah, usually the government seizes all
38:56
Speaker 1: of that money. If your money is from ill-gotten gains,
39:00
Speaker 1: the government will seize every last dollar of it. And
39:03
Speaker 1: if you send $ 5 to your grandma, they'll seize her
39:05
Speaker 1: account too. And that's why it's so confounding to me
39:09
Speaker 1: that the same behavior isn't being used in this case. Like,
39:13
Speaker 1: I've seen it with my own eyes, folks. I've seen
39:15
Speaker 1: how this all works. I've seen it in real time.
39:19
Speaker 1: But not for Epstein? Not for his friends? Representatives for
39:27
Speaker 1: Deutsche Bank declined to comment. and an attorney for Epstein
39:29
Speaker 1: did not return the observers' inquiry. Long considered an investment
39:34
Speaker 1: platform for the rich and powerful, Deutsche Bank has been
39:37
Speaker 1: plagued with scandals since the 2008 financial crisis. In 2017,
39:43
Speaker 1: the bank reached a $ 7. 2 billion settlement with the U.S.
39:48
Speaker 1: Justice Department over allegedly misleading investors on mortgage-backed securities and
39:54
Speaker 1: was later fined $ 630 million for alleged involvement in Russian
39:58
Speaker 1: money laundering. Last week, Deutsche Bank announced it would cut 18,000
40:03
Speaker 1: jobs and downsize its investment operations. So again, folks, just
40:08
Speaker 1: another chiseling away at Jeffrey Epstein's finances and asking the
40:13
Speaker 1: questions once again, why in the hell was there not
40:16
Speaker 1: a financial investigation deployed here? Why was there not a
40:20
Speaker 1: sweeping financial investigation done? And all of the people who
40:24
Speaker 1: were connected financially to him, they should have had to
40:27
Speaker 1: answer questions about where the money was coming from, if
40:31
Speaker 1: it was legitimate or if it was ill-gotten gains. But
40:35
Speaker 1: that never happened for Jeffrey Epstein. And people at the
40:38
Speaker 1: time were wondering, what the hell's going on? How's that
40:40
Speaker 1: even possible? Well, there's only one logical explanation, folks. And
40:44
Speaker 1: that's because he turned state's evidence for the government. And
40:49
Speaker 1: he was working as a confidential informant. That is the
40:52
Speaker 1: only reason, the only thing that makes sense as to
40:55
Speaker 1: why he wouldn't be arrested along with the rest of
40:58
Speaker 1: the criminal thugs and thieves who like to steal money
41:02
Speaker 1: on Wall Street. All right, folks, that's going to do
41:07
Speaker 1: it for this episode. If you'd like to contact me,
41:09
Speaker 1: you can do that at BobbyCapucci at ProtonMail.com. That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I
41:16
Speaker 1: at ProtonMail.com. You can also find me on Twitter at
41:20
Speaker 1: B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I. The link that I discussed can be
41:27
Speaker 1: found in the description box. Today's article is from the
41:33
Speaker 1: New York Times article. And it was originally published on
41:37
Speaker 1: July 23rd of 2019. The authors of the article, David
41:44
Speaker 1: Enrich and Joe Becker. The headline, Jeffrey Epstein moved money
41:49
Speaker 1: overseas in transactions his bank flagged to the U.S. So
41:54
Speaker 1: what this shows you here is, we were discussing what
41:59
Speaker 1: the IRS agent would do as far as prosecuting Epstein's
42:04
Speaker 1: crimes and going after these financial crimes. And one of
42:07
Speaker 1: the tools he talked about was the suspicious activity reports.
42:12
Speaker 1: And in this article, they're saying that Deutsche Bank dropped
42:17
Speaker 1: some suspicious activity reports into the Epstein account and the feds, well,
42:23
Speaker 1: either they knew they were there and ignored them, or
42:27
Speaker 1: they're absolutely and utterly incompetent at their jobs. It is very,
42:37
Speaker 1: very unlikely that the regulators and the federal government had
42:42
Speaker 1: no idea about these financial transactions.
42:47
Speaker 2: In my opinion, they ignored them.
42:51
Speaker 1: Because you see, folks, what they would want you to
42:52
Speaker 1: believe is that this is some huge conspiracy theory. That
42:56
Speaker 1: all of this stuff is just BS. There's no way
42:59
Speaker 1: none of it happened. But the reality of it is,
43:04
Speaker 1: this is not a conspiracy theory.
43:06
Speaker 2: This is a cover-up.
43:11
Speaker 1: As Deutsche Bank officials this year scrambled to extricate themselves
43:14
Speaker 1: from a years-long relationship with Jeffrey Epstein... The wealthy financier, pedophile,
43:19
Speaker 1: charged this month with sex trafficking. They uncovered suspicious transactions
43:24
Speaker 1: in which Mr. Epstein had moved money out of the
43:26
Speaker 1: United States.
43:28
Speaker 2: Oh, really, huh?
43:29
Speaker 1: So you mean to tell me Jeffrey Epstein, who was
43:31
Speaker 1: a convicted... child sex trafficker, convicted sexual offender, and obviously
43:37
Speaker 1: involved in all sorts of nonsense when it comes to financials,
43:42
Speaker 1: wasn't on the government's radar? The government wasn't digging into
43:45
Speaker 1: the FinCEN database on a regular basis to see if
43:48
Speaker 1: Epstein was up to no good?
43:50
Speaker 2: Ask yourselves, folks, why?
43:53
Speaker 1: Deutsche Bank reported the transactions to a federal agency in
43:58
Speaker 1: charge of policing financial crimes according to three people familiar
44:02
Speaker 1: with the bank's internal processes. The report came as the
44:05
Speaker 1: bank started looking for signs that Mr. Epstein was using
44:09
Speaker 1: his financial resources for the purposes of sex trafficking. So
44:15
Speaker 1: the bank, according to this report in the New York Times,
44:19
Speaker 1: engaged in a bit of internal housecleaning, a bit of
44:22
Speaker 1: internal investigation, and concluded that these transactions that Epstein was
44:27
Speaker 1: making were.
44:33
Speaker 1: Not the kind of transactions that are up to snuff, right?
44:37
Speaker 1: These transactions were the kind that you would see in
44:41
Speaker 1: a money laundering operation. And the regulators at Deutsche Bank, obviously,
44:46
Speaker 1: according to this article, flagged them.
44:50
Speaker 2: Mr.
44:50
Speaker 1: Epstein, who has been accused of operating sex trafficking ring
44:54
Speaker 1: involving dozens of victims, some as young as 14, is
44:57
Speaker 1: being held in a Manhattan jail cell, not anymore, after
45:01
Speaker 1: federal prosecutors argued he was a flight risk, citing his
45:04
Speaker 1: vast financial resources. He has a Byzantine network of businesses
45:09
Speaker 1: and personal holdings, which include real estate, an island, and
45:13
Speaker 1: private planes valued at more than $ 500 million. Mr. Epstein's lawyer,
45:18
Speaker 1: Reid Weingarten, did not respond to requests for comment Tuesday afternoon. Now,
45:24
Speaker 1: these lawyers are never going to respond to comment, right?
45:26
Speaker 1: They don't want to, they don't, especially then, they didn't
45:29
Speaker 1: want to dig themselves any deeper. So you know that
45:33
Speaker 1: none of these lawyers have anything to say about any
45:35
Speaker 1: of this nonsense. But the fact of the matter is this.
45:39
Speaker 1: Deutsche Bank flagged these transactions and the regulators in America
45:44
Speaker 1: and elsewhere didn't care. Deutsche Bank has been contacted by
45:49
Speaker 1: prosecutors and other government authorities investigating Mr.
45:52
Speaker 2: Epstein.
45:53
Speaker 1: Georg Eigendorff, a Deutsche Bank spokesman, said the bank was
45:57
Speaker 1: absolutely committed to cooperating with all relevant authorities. Sounds like
46:03
Speaker 1: Prince Andrew wrote that line there, huh? Did the Joe
46:06
Speaker 1: Exotic of the Windsor family write Deutsche Bank's defense line there? Oh, well,
46:11
Speaker 1: we're committed to working with all authorities that are relevant
46:15
Speaker 1: to the case.
46:16
Speaker 2: Meanwhile.
46:17
Speaker 1: Deutsche Bank is up to their neck in all sorts
46:21
Speaker 1: of financial discrepancies. This bank is one of the biggest
46:25
Speaker 1: harbors of money laundering that you're ever going to see,
46:29
Speaker 1: in my opinion. How they didn't get arrested after the
46:32
Speaker 1: financial collapse, the whole lot of them, is absolutely beyond me.
46:38
Speaker 1: Deutsche Bank executives are still trying to understand the depth
46:41
Speaker 1: and the scope of the bank's relationship with Mr. Epstein,
46:44
Speaker 1: who has been a client of its private banking division
46:47
Speaker 1: since at least 2013, years after his conduct became public
46:51
Speaker 1: in a prostitution case involving a teenage girl. No, that
46:55
Speaker 1: was not a prostitution case. New York Times, okay? A
47:00
Speaker 1: child cannot be a prostitute. How many times do we
47:04
Speaker 1: have to make that clear? These were girls who were
47:08
Speaker 1: victimized by a sick, disgusting, sinister son of a bitch
47:13
Speaker 1: who was rubbing elbows with all your buddies at New.
47:15
Speaker 2: York Times, all the politicians, etc., etc. Okay? Not a
47:19
Speaker 2: prostitution ring.
47:22
Speaker 1: Mr. Epstein struck a lenient plea deal that included a
47:25
Speaker 1: non-prosecution agreement from federal authorities, and the case has been
47:29
Speaker 1: held up as a glaring example of how the wealthy
47:32
Speaker 1: and well-connected can evade consequences. And when they say wealthy
47:38
Speaker 1: here and well-connected, well, wealthy for sure. But well-connected in
47:42
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's case is not the same as well-connected as usual.
47:48
Speaker 1: Usually somebody has some friends on the police department or
47:51
Speaker 1: maybe a judge or two. Jeffrey Epstein had a whole
47:55
Speaker 1: network of protectors that were elected officials, business people, leaders
48:02
Speaker 1: from other countries, you name it. All of these people
48:05
Speaker 1: were in Epstein's atmosphere and protecting him. I have never,
48:10
Speaker 1: ever seen anything like this in my life, folks.
48:13
Speaker 2: Ever.
48:15
Speaker 1: At least one bank dropped Mr. Epstein as a client
48:18
Speaker 1: in the years after his guilty plea. But it wasn't
48:21
Speaker 1: until late last year, after the Miami Herald published an
48:24
Speaker 1: investigation into the earlier sexual abuse allegations, that Deutsche Bank
48:28
Speaker 1: decided to sever ties with him. The process proved more
48:31
Speaker 1: complicated and time-consuming than executives had initially anticipated because Deutsche
48:37
Speaker 1: Bank's private banking division had opened several dozen.
48:42
Speaker 2: Accounts for Mr. Epstein and his businesses.
48:46
Speaker 1: Folks, this man needed several different accounts, dozens of different accounts,
48:50
Speaker 1: several dozen accounts, I mean.
48:53
Speaker 2: For what?
48:54
Speaker 1: If you're not trying to hide your money, if you're
48:55
Speaker 1: not trying to park your money in places where it
48:57
Speaker 1: can be washed and then put back into the system
49:01
Speaker 1: of being spent by you, then why do you need
49:04
Speaker 1: several dozen accounts at Deutsche Bank? And furthermore, why would
49:11
Speaker 1: Deutsche Bank even facilitate any of this? Look, the banksters
49:19
Speaker 1: are a serious problem.
49:20
Speaker 2: Folks.
49:20
Speaker 1: We are living in modern-day slavery to these people. Oh,
49:26
Speaker 1: and it might not be the slavery like the Romans
49:29
Speaker 1: would have you in bondage, right? But it's a different
49:32
Speaker 1: kind of slavery. We're slaves to their predatory loans. We're
49:36
Speaker 1: slaves to their incredibly corrupt interest rates. And they make
49:42
Speaker 1: the rules. These are the people that are really making
49:46
Speaker 1: the rules, folks. These banksters and these disgusting ass people
49:51
Speaker 1: who are the bag men to the politicians. They show
49:54
Speaker 1: up with their Gucci bag full of loot and the
49:56
Speaker 1: politicians dance to their tune. The bank's antiquity antique technology
50:05
Speaker 1: systems did not help. On a number of occasions, Deutsche
50:08
Speaker 1: Bank executives had thought they had shut down all of Mr.
50:11
Speaker 1: Epstein's accounts, only to learn that there were others that
50:14
Speaker 1: they had not previously been aware of, according to one
50:17
Speaker 1: of the people.
50:18
Speaker 2: How is that not a problem?
50:19
Speaker 1: This is a major financial institution, folks. Billions and billions
50:24
Speaker 1: of dollars of swaps, trades, loans, etc.
50:27
Speaker 2: etc.
50:28
Speaker 1: And you mean to tell me You can't navigate your
50:32
Speaker 1: own internal system? You can't navigate the system you put
50:35
Speaker 1: into place to keep a hold on who has what
50:38
Speaker 1: in your bank? How can anyone have any faith in
50:42
Speaker 1: a bank like Deutsche Bank? If I had one single
50:45
Speaker 1: dollar with this bank, I'd be moving it out ASAP.
50:50
Speaker 1: The bank's relationship with Mr. Epstein has been another black
50:53
Speaker 1: eye for Deutsche Bank, which is laying off thousands of
50:56
Speaker 1: employees as it struggles to return to profitability. The bank
51:00
Speaker 1: has been dogged by repeated financial scandals. It is under
51:04
Speaker 1: federal criminal investigation for potential money laundering, an investigation that
51:09
Speaker 1: has raised questions about Deutsche Bank's handling of suspicious activity reports. Well, folks,
51:14
Speaker 1: what do you know, huh? Do you think that Jeffrey
51:16
Speaker 1: Epstein just moved his money to Deutsche Bank for no reason?
51:20
Speaker 1: Why do you really think Jeffrey Epstein parked his money there?
51:24
Speaker 1: Do you think that it was because they're so stringent
51:27
Speaker 1: and they work towards making sure that.
51:29
Speaker 2: Everything's on the up and up?
51:30
Speaker 1: Or do you think it's because Deutsche Bank is complicit?
51:34
Speaker 1: They have a bunch of criminals in their boardroom and
51:36
Speaker 1: they don't give a good goddamn about anything else besides
51:40
Speaker 1: the money.
51:40
Speaker 2: What do you think it is, huh?
51:45
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein put his money with Deutsche Bank because he
51:48
Speaker 1: knew that they'd play ball. Two congressional committees and state
51:55
Speaker 1: prosecutors in New York have also opened investigations into the
51:58
Speaker 1: bank's relationship with President Trump, who received a total of
52:01
Speaker 1: more than $ 2 billion in loans from Deutsche Bank over
52:04
Speaker 1: nearly two decades, even as other major banks refused to
52:08
Speaker 1: do business with him. That on its face means nothing.
52:11
Speaker 2: Let's be real.
52:12
Speaker 1: A bank can choose to do business with whoever they want.
52:15
Speaker 1: But the fact of the matter is, like I've said
52:18
Speaker 1: numerous times here on this podcast, I believe the Democrats
52:21
Speaker 1: wasted a bunch of time and a bunch of resources
52:24
Speaker 1: when they attempted to go after the nonsensical Russia angle.
52:28
Speaker 1: When if they really wanted to pin something on Donald Trump,
52:31
Speaker 1: all they have to do is go after his finances.
52:34
Speaker 2: And if you're really going.
52:35
Speaker 1: Through them, it is inevitable that you will find that
52:38
Speaker 1: he has put money in the pocket of the mafia
52:41
Speaker 1: in New York.
52:42
Speaker 2: You know why I say that?
52:43
Speaker 1: Because you're not putting a skyscraper up in that city
52:47
Speaker 1: without enriching the mafia still to this day. So if
52:53
Speaker 1: they were going to go after something, they should have
52:54
Speaker 1: went after his financials from the very beginning. But they
52:58
Speaker 1: chose a different route, and here we are, right? They
53:01
Speaker 1: look like a bunch of morons. The country looks like
53:05
Speaker 1: it's being run by a bunch of ingrates.
53:07
Speaker 2: And here we are.
53:08
Speaker 1: Still no justice in the Jeffrey Epstein case.
53:13
Speaker 2: Mr.
53:14
Speaker 1: Epstein appears to have moved his business to Deutsche Bank
53:16
Speaker 1: after J.P. Morgan cut ties with him. He had been
53:19
Speaker 1: a client of J.P. Morgan's private banking division from the
53:22
Speaker 1: late 1990s until around 2013, five years after he pled
53:27
Speaker 1: guilty to state prostitution charges.
53:30
Speaker 2: Well, what do you know? It might have something to
53:32
Speaker 2: do with Jess Staley, huh? I don't know.
53:34
Speaker 1: I'll just go out on a limb here and say
53:35
Speaker 1: it might have had something to do with Jess Staley
53:37
Speaker 1: while I was at J.P. Morgan.
53:39
Speaker 2: Just saying.
53:42
Speaker 1: Mr. Epstein... In addition to wealth management accounts, Deutsche Bank
53:48
Speaker 1: also provided loans to Mr. Epstein and his businesses, according
53:52
Speaker 1: to three people familiar with the relationship. All of those loans,
53:56
Speaker 1: every bit of money that has been given to Epstein
53:58
Speaker 1: from these banks, all of it needs to be traced.
54:00
Speaker 1: Everything needs to be sourced, and we have to find
54:02
Speaker 1: out where they originated and where they ended up, because
54:07
Speaker 1: everything in between, every person who got a taste, is
54:09
Speaker 1: now part of the RICO indictments. The relationship has been
54:14
Speaker 1: cause for concern within the bank, even before the heightened
54:17
Speaker 1: scrutiny brought by the Herald's reporting. In 2015-2016, anti-money laundering
54:25
Speaker 1: compliance officers in Deutsche Bank's offices in New York and Jacksonville, Florida,
54:29
Speaker 1: raised a variety of concerns about the work the bank
54:32
Speaker 1: was doing with Mr.
54:34
Speaker 2: Epstein.
54:35
Speaker 1: And now what happens is, in these financial institutions, they
54:37
Speaker 1: have these auditors, and they go through all of this stuff,
54:41
Speaker 1: all these transactions and make sure everything is in compliance.
54:45
Speaker 1: And when they find something that's not in compliance, then
54:47
Speaker 1: they go into the FinCEN database, they look for SARCs,
54:50
Speaker 1: and they try and match it up. They're basically forensic accountants, right?
54:54
Speaker 1: And we see here that the compliance officers in the
54:58
Speaker 1: offices in New York and Jacksonville raised a bunch of
55:01
Speaker 1: concerns about Jeffrey Epstein's banking. In addition, the compliance officers
55:08
Speaker 1: on at least one occasion noticed potentially illegal activity in
55:12
Speaker 1: one of Mr. Epstein's accounts, including transaction which money was
55:16
Speaker 1: moving outside the United States, two of the people said.
55:19
Speaker 1: This is the sort of thing that the second it happened,
55:24
Speaker 1: The Fed should have been all over Epstein, and he
55:26
Speaker 1: should have been brought in for money laundering all over again.
55:30
Speaker 2: Guess what?
55:31
Speaker 1: Normal people like you or I or your friend Vinny,
55:34
Speaker 1: oh yeah, we're going to the clink.
55:36
Speaker 2: No doubt about it.
55:37
Speaker 1: There's going to be a huge, broad investigation into us.
55:40
Speaker 1: They're going to pull our families into it. They're going
55:42
Speaker 1: to threaten our families. They're going to try and litigate
55:45
Speaker 1: us into the poorhouse, and that's just the way it goes.
55:48
Speaker 1: But if you're Jeffrey Epstein, You can make whatever kind
55:51
Speaker 1: of transactions you want with your homies at the bank, right?
55:53
Speaker 1: They're just going to cover for you. And the investigators, well,
55:55
Speaker 1: they don't give a shit. They've been told you belong
55:59
Speaker 1: to intelligence, hands off. So Jeffrey Epstein has free reign
56:05
Speaker 1: to make as many crazy, weird financial moves as he wants,
56:11
Speaker 1: have a child sex trafficking ring right under everyone's nose,
56:15
Speaker 1: be engaged in various other crimes, and nobody has anything
56:18
Speaker 1: to say about it, huh? The compliance officers produced a
56:24
Speaker 1: so-called suspicious activity report, but it is unclear whether the
56:28
Speaker 1: report was ever filed with the Treasury Department's Financial Crimes Division.
56:32
Speaker 1: This is so crazy to think about. If I was
56:37
Speaker 1: to be involved in something like this when I was
56:39
Speaker 1: at Kenner Fitzgerald, I would.
56:41
Speaker 2: Have been fired the day it happened.
56:43
Speaker 1: If we would have let something like this get by,
56:46
Speaker 1: forget it. There would have been hell to pay. I
56:49
Speaker 1: would have been packing up my desk and looking for
56:51
Speaker 1: a new job that day. Despite the compliance officer's misgivings,
56:59
Speaker 1: the bank continued to do extensive business with Mr.
57:02
Speaker 2: Epstein.
57:03
Speaker 1: And that right there is the death knell for Deutsche Bank.
57:06
Speaker 1: If I was investigating them, that would be all I
57:09
Speaker 1: need to open up a robust investigation into them. If
57:14
Speaker 1: I was the prosecutors of this Epstein case, I would
57:17
Speaker 1: pull Deutsche Bank right into this RICO investigation.
57:21
Speaker 2: Point blank, period.
57:25
Speaker 1: Earlier this year, as the bank rushed to disentangle itself
57:29
Speaker 1: from him, officials discovered additional transactions that they saw as problematic,
57:33
Speaker 1: three people said. That prompted the bank to submit a
57:36
Speaker 1: suspicious activity report to the Treasury Department. Well, that's fine
57:40
Speaker 1: and well, but A suspicious activity report is supposed to
57:43
Speaker 1: be filed within 30 days. So Deutsche Bank, it seems
57:48
Speaker 1: like they're just trying to cover their ass here, right?
57:50
Speaker 1: Do you really think that they care about these financial crimes?
57:54
Speaker 2: I don't.
57:54
Speaker 1: I think that they were engaging in them with them.
57:56
Speaker 1: I think that they were part of them. And I
57:58
Speaker 1: think they were enriching themselves on the back of them.
58:04
Speaker 1: The nature of the bank's concerns about the 2019 transactions
58:06
Speaker 1: was not clear. Just because a bank files a suspicious
58:11
Speaker 1: activity report does not mean the transaction was actually improper.
58:15
Speaker 1: Banks sometimes are on the side of On the side
58:18
Speaker 1: of over-reporting troubling transactions to avoid government criticism that they
58:23
Speaker 1: missed red flags.
58:24
Speaker 2: That is the truth. I can tell you that for sure.
58:27
Speaker 1: We always erred on the side of if we thought
58:29
Speaker 1: it was suspicious, let's file the SARC. Let's get it
58:32
Speaker 1: in and let's make sure it's on file and in
58:34
Speaker 1: the database. So I could definitely see that. From my experience,
58:40
Speaker 1: that does not ring.
58:41
Speaker 2: As a lie. But I will say this.
58:45
Speaker 1: When you have somebody like Epstein and the financials that
58:47
Speaker 1: we've seen here, I would have been sarking every transaction
58:50
Speaker 1: this guy made if it was me in charge of this.
58:52
Speaker 1: Because look, working where I worked for so long, you
58:57
Speaker 1: start to get an idea and start to get a
58:59
Speaker 1: gut feeling when somebody's coming in to your desk with
59:02
Speaker 1: all this money and they're trying to make.
59:04
Speaker 2: A bet or a deposit.
59:05
Speaker 1: You start to get a feel if something's out of
59:07
Speaker 1: order or if something's you know, on the up and up, right?
59:11
Speaker 1: And that just comes with experience and with ample time
59:15
Speaker 1: spent doing a job. And I'm sure that these regulators
59:18
Speaker 1: who are adding him to the database and sarking him
59:23
Speaker 1: have plenty of experience, right? The report was filed with
59:28
Speaker 1: the government as Deutsche Bank conducted an internal investigation into
59:31
Speaker 1: its relationship with Mr. Epstein. Deutsche Bank officials are still
59:35
Speaker 1: trying to determine what Mr. Epstein was using his accounts for,
59:38
Speaker 1: including where and to whom he had previously moved money.
59:43
Speaker 1: We're still trying to get our arms around it, one
59:45
Speaker 1: of the people said. And that is such a huge
59:47
Speaker 1: part of it, because whoever he was moving money to.
59:51
Speaker 2: Folks, if they slap this with a RICO....
59:54
Speaker 1: And this becomes a RICO case. Whoever Epstein was moving
59:57
Speaker 1: money to, whoever he was getting money from, they are
1:00:00
Speaker 1: now part of this ever-expanding RICO web.
1:00:07
Speaker 2: The question that I have is when are we going
1:00:12
Speaker 2: to see it?
1:00:14
Speaker 1: If you'd like to contact me, you can do that

Speaker 1: at BobbyCapucci at ProtonMail.com. That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at ProtonMail.com. You can
