The Bus Camera: Marek Harcar and the Murder of Moira Jones
In May 2008, 40-year-old Moira Jones was abducted yards from her front door on Queen's Drive, Glasgow, and killed in Queen's Park, and the killer's DNA matched no one on any British database. A camera on a passing bus, a cigarette end and a neighbour's account led police to Marek Harcar, who had fled to Slovakia. Convicted at the High Court in Glasgow in 2009, he was jailed for life with a minimum of 25 years.
