- 0:00Mom. Hey, I'm your host.
- 0:06Emily V. I'm an actor teacher, and a new
- 0:10mom. Once my daughter arrived, I went
- 0:12on the hunt for answers to all my questions about being a
- 0:16working actor. Mom, and what did I find?
- 0:19Well practically nothing. So here I am asking all the
- 0:22questions to try to figure out how people do it, how our
- 0:25mothers balancing and not balancing Parenthood in this
- 0:29crazy. Three.
- 0:30Join me. And my amazing guess, as a, we
- 0:32take a real look into the life of a working entertainment
- 0:36industry moms everywhere. Oh boy, I'm so excited for this
- 0:41episode. I'm talking with Keeley and
- 0:43Kaiser. They are a married couple.
- 0:45They're both actors. And they now have three
- 0:49beautiful children. During this conversation.
- 0:52Keeley was still pregnant and now they have welcomed their
- 0:56third baby and they are just such a lovely couple.
- 1:00This was such a great episode for me to listen, back on
- 1:03because it's so wonderful to hear the amount of support and
- 1:08respect that they have for. Each other both being actors and
- 1:13really boosting each other up and working together as a united
- 1:20front. We also talked a lot about how
- 1:22they move to a new city. They're living in Phoenix
- 1:25Arizona and they moved with a baby while pregnant.
- 1:30We talked about how they're still repped as local hires in
- 1:34Los Angeles and that they have reps in the midwest as well.
- 1:39It's really great to hear them talk about, not putting your
- 1:43life on hold, for your career and how living as a full human
- 1:48really impacts your acting. I hope everyone enjoys this may
- 1:53be listened to it twice because it really made me feel good.
- 1:58So here we go. Here is Keeley and Kaiser.
- 2:04I have so many questions for both of you because my husband
- 2:08and I are both actors. You and we just had our first
- 2:11baby. She's almost three months and I
- 2:15have so many questions for you too.
- 2:21You have 2 and 1 on the wall. One like a few weeks away.
- 2:27Yeah. So we'll have three total at
- 2:29least. We will have three total in
- 2:31November. Yeah, then.
- 2:32Oh my God, you're that close. Wow.
- 2:34Time for phase two beginning of October.
- 2:37But, you know, we'll know by November in case She's like my
- 2:40God. Oh my God.
- 2:43And what are their names and ages.
- 2:46So perdida is almost almost for. She is like creating, you know,
- 2:52it's just very should do before in October.
- 2:53Yeah. And then August is 20 months.
- 2:56So about a year, a little over a year and a half.
- 2:59Oh my gosh. Wow.
- 3:00So are you both originally from Allah?
- 3:04No, I am. I'm from.
- 3:05L.a.? Okay, I'm from Minneapolis area.
- 3:09Really, but I lived in La for long enough.
- 3:12Yeah, but doesn't your so yeah. Long enough.
- 3:15Did you guys meet in l.a.? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 3:19Should we, we met on the cast of sketch?
- 3:22Comedy group was called, TMI Hollywood, I think it was LA's
- 3:28longest-running weekly, topical sketch, Live sketch show.
- 3:32Yeah, so that's amazing. So let's go So you are already
- 3:40in a lake because you lived here and then you moved here and how
- 3:44long till you guys met? How long did you live here.
- 3:48I had lived in LA and so we met in 2016 and we got married a
- 4:00year after we met so yeah. Yeah.
- 4:09So how okay, well now I'm trying to do that.
- 4:13How about you now you guys live in Arizona.
- 4:16Yes? Yeah.
- 4:17Yeah, yeah, 1/4. But we're here mostly because
- 4:22it's just calm and easy. Yeah, we love it.
- 4:27There's whenever we're working somewhere, that's what we are.
- 4:30So and then now we go back to LA because that's where my God Josh
- 4:38I'm super close. To Burbank.
- 4:40Yeah, but you guys, we're in like Toluca Lake North Hollywood
- 4:44Studio City. Like rubbing
- 5:03long. Have you guys been in Arizona?
- 5:07It'll be two years in a couple of weeks here.
- 5:09So, Yeah. Okay.
- 5:11So what made you guys move to Arizona so much?
- 5:16I mean I would have paper, I don't know.
- 5:19So so month and a half and two, you know, pandemic let's move in
- 5:272020 at the end of time. Yeah, you know, Kili and our
- 5:33daughter brigitta who is not even to.
- 5:34At the time I hadn't left the house in 45 days because because
- 5:39You guys remember la? I think it's going to be a long
- 6:09time before this gets better, here.
- 6:12I think we need to leave. This apartment, probably l.a.
- 6:17maybe California. This is like, I think we need a
- 6:20space. You know, I think we need to
- 6:22just get some space. So Michelle and I had never
- 6:25lived officially weird anywhere else.
- 6:27I've traveled a bunch, but I never liked left LA because I'm
- 6:29from your family's there. So I always lived in LA and so I
- 6:33was like, maybe it's time for an Adventure Bay can get out.
- 6:37And we were kind of like, you know, if there's any time to do
- 6:41this, we're like, it's probably now.
- 6:44Because everything was going remote to the line.
- 6:46And so we took a huge leap of faith going.
- 6:49Hopefully it stays that way, you know, it in a sense of like
- 6:52hopefully people adapt and really enjoy the that they can
- 6:56work remote and go on a lot of things from home, or from
- 6:59wherever or just fly in for jobs and so far that bet has paid off
- 7:04because it definitely has happened.
- 7:06And so we're glad that he made that jump because we were like,
- 7:10also at that time, I'm sure that like someone who looks greens
- 7:13having a Got other job, things and switch financials and adjust
- 7:17financials. So for us, we were like well
- 7:20this is going to cut the cost of living cost of living was a lot
- 7:23better. The time it's still better but
- 7:25it's obviously, everybody's cost of living has changed because
- 7:28living at the time, Arizona compared to La was much lower.
- 7:32So when we moved, it was a huge break in our finances.
- 7:36Like we were like, wow, this is amazing.
- 7:38Like within the month that we moved, we were already seeing
- 7:41the benefits of moving. So when you moved, you just had
- 7:46the one daughter. Yeah, I was six months pregnant.
- 7:50Oh my God. You move during a pandemic.
- 7:52So it's someone's pregnant. I'm like, you know, from one
- 7:56state to the other. So yeah, it was absent but we
- 7:59actually like, so most of our furniture because like, we're
- 8:01just going to travel light and it was it was a whole like, it
- 8:04was a whole crazy thing. But I think because like at the
- 8:07time everything was so a world was so different that it's like
- 8:11we were like, you know what, we're just gonna sell our stuff.
- 8:12We're going to do this adventure with it.
- 8:14Big lie, Buffet, who know, I didn't even see the city that we
- 8:18were willing to. I had no idea.
- 8:19I'd only been to Phoenix a couple times prior for
- 8:21volleyball tournaments in college.
- 8:23So I really had no idea what like any of the other little
- 8:27towns and the area's look like but his sister would go this
- 8:30way. So he knew what it looked like
- 8:31and he was like, it's really cute and like great.
- 8:33I trust your judgment. Let's go.
- 8:35Wow. So do you have any family near
- 8:39where you are? Now we do now.
- 8:41Yeah, I mean, first one, we moved out here, the only one
- 8:43here was assis. Mr. With her kids and you're
- 8:45like okay that was one of the things was to at least be close
- 8:48to some family because we're like, you know, probably close
- 8:51with my family like super close and even though he hasn't lived
- 8:54near much of this family since moncelli, he's close with them.
- 8:57So we're like we need to be close with our family somehow
- 9:00either side. And so we're like we're only six
- 9:02hours away from mine driving back to LA with you've done
- 9:05multiple times with the kids who can talk about that too.
- 9:08Later really is Arizona and I just think I don't know, it's
- 9:17close its quick. It's honestly and then we one of
- 9:20the things you know first bench when she first because we got
- 9:22him about a state and I was like go to Arizona and then I was
- 9:25like well then I guess we're saying goodbye to our acting
- 9:27careers and she said well how long does it take to get back
- 9:30from really from Arizona? And I did the math and I was
- 9:33like well she did. He used to go visit his sister.
- 9:36Yeah. And I'd come I had come back
- 9:38from trips Arizona for auditions and stuff in LA.
- 9:41And that kind of thing I was like, well actually Like that
- 9:45time you go to the airport, get on a plane and you're in
- 9:48Burbank, it's about two hours from, like, from door, to door
- 9:53is about 2 hours and and was like, gosh, when we were living
- 9:57in the marina, it took two and a half hours to get to Burbank
- 10:00sometimes and we're closer to the studios in Phoenix than we
- 10:08are in Los Angeles. That is why we chose that the
- 10:15next state over because we're like, we're close enough that if
- 10:18we need to get back to for family, emergency to or her
- 10:21work. If we get like a next day
- 10:23turnaround thing. We look something on that.
- 10:24I can you be here tomorrow? We should did happen and so we
- 10:28have like it's having multiple times.
- 10:30Like we've been like we get the notice that night for that we
- 10:33booked something like, can you be here tomorrow?
- 10:35So I should show this pain or, or they're just like oh can you
- 10:37be in like Playa del Rey tomorrow at 3:00 like?
- 10:40Yep, sure can and I'll talk to him will be like going to start
- 10:42packing. But that job.
- 10:47So when that happens do you, is it usually just for for one of
- 10:53you I would assume. So then do you are all good.
- 10:57Do you know where it was going to be a little bit longer trip?
- 11:04Or if we felt like we could all use the trip or we felt like it
- 11:09could be a good just opportunity for us to spend a little more
- 11:13time there. We've done it.
- 11:15There are a couple of jobs. I've just flown in floor in the
- 11:17film, so I'm back same day and like they do a lot of VoiceOver
- 11:22as well and some of them wanted it in studio and so usually I
- 11:26can just do it for my studio, but fly in, do the job fly back
- 11:31out and that it's been like well there's no point in lugging
- 11:34everyone along for that but yeah.
- 11:36Well now I have a question because my husband is trying to
- 11:39do. He does voiceover stuff too.
- 11:41He does a lot of audiobooks and I'm sure Sure he would have a
- 11:44lot of questions for you because he likes set up a.
- 11:49He has like it's recording closet, like I call it like a
- 11:53little coffin, but how do you manage to do?
- 11:58It went when you have kids. Like, we thought beforehand were
- 12:02like oh when she naps but it's like how how do you do it?
- 12:08Is it just like you get time, you record and you know, I feel
- 12:13ya. So we, you know, I do most of my
- 12:17auditions and stuff at night after the kids have gone to bed.
- 12:20You know. Here we moved into a house now
- 12:24and so we've got there's three bedrooms and the we've made a
- 12:29priority of finding master bedrooms that have walk-in
- 12:32closets, so that there can be a door in between and close things
- 12:38in and stuff and so that we're not going to wake up the kids.
- 12:42I mean, you know, even When like our kids have been in the master
- 12:47bedroom with us it when I was in the walk-in closet and I would
- 12:50add the, you know, sound proof that closed the door and I mean
- 12:53to sound rude, to some extent. But I've never woken them up
- 12:56even when I'm doing efforts, and yells and crazy stuff like that.
- 13:01So when it comes to doing jobs, a tiny broadcast quality and
- 13:06that kind of thing. Usually, she'll take them out of
- 13:09the house, but we haven't even done it, where they're in a
- 13:11different room and and just on the other side, Of the apartment
- 13:14or the house. So getting more spaces help
- 13:17because it's like moving out here we all did get a little bit
- 13:19bigger place which really helped us because we can keep people on
- 13:22opposite ends. So I'm curious.
- 13:24So you guys were acting before you had kids, what were your
- 13:30fears before having them like as in terms of like the business, I
- 13:37know it's probably I've I assume different for both of you.
- 13:41I know that like being pregnant and like and then going through
- 13:47childbirth, like obviously you have a whole different thing
- 13:52going on but like for both of you what were like any Any fears
- 13:58or like thoughts? Once you like found out the
- 14:03first time versus the second and the third place each time
- 14:08different well we got so I think I'll just mention when we got
- 14:15married like basically European that we just knew we know and
- 14:19it's that very fairly quickly and then three months after
- 14:22getting married. We got pregnant with our first
- 14:25and so yeah. I think First time around, I
- 14:28felt really confident but I'm like, I feel like I'll like be
- 14:31that way and like, not maybe I'm like, not fully thinking things
- 14:35through, I don't know, but sometimes I'll be like super
- 14:37confident about stuff. So, I felt really like confident
- 14:39about that pregnancy because like, I can't wait to be a mom,
- 14:42I've always wanted to be a mom. I know I wanted a big family, so
- 14:44so excited and I know that I'm at the right person and we were
- 14:48meant to be together. So I was really excited to get
- 14:50our lives started, you know, because it's it, is that feeling
- 14:53of like, I feel like we're really building something here,
- 14:55where you know, having kids, right?
- 14:57Things Souls. It's amazing.
- 14:59So it's like it's so exciting and so you know it's very
- 15:04nerve-wracking because you got a like there's so much unknown on
- 15:06the other end of like, oh well, my body go back to how it was
- 15:10before. Like you know, what will that
- 15:11look like? Because I love playing sports
- 15:13and love being fit. So I was like, I don't know why
- 15:15he heard so many like, you know, stories and usually wants to
- 15:19tell the bad stories, like, you'll hear people who just tell
- 15:22you about horror birth stories of my kind of crazy stuff in
- 15:25like, Like positive stuff out there so you know, I was just
- 15:31keeping myself positive and you know, having a good outlook on
- 15:34all that and I think like I was just trusting I'm like trapped
- 15:39so much. Trust them.
- 15:40Just that like we're meant to do this as women like this is, you
- 15:43know, not about the like I don't want to be fearful about birth.
- 15:46I was like, you know what, our bodies are meant to do it.
- 15:48We can do it like that. I'm going to trust in the
- 15:50process if you enter for a million years.
- 15:54Exactly. So I was like, I'm going to
- 15:55trust in the process. This is what my body.
- 15:57Meant to do it, I am. And I was like, you know what?
- 16:00If I helped you clean, the start working out again afterwards
- 16:02when I feel ready, which I actually waited a long time
- 16:05longer and longer than I do, the second camera because I just I
- 16:09didn't quite know like what my body is going to feel like or
- 16:11anything. So I waited longer than I needed
- 16:13to but then once I started working out again and just we
- 16:17were eating clean the whole time, it was like boom right
- 16:19back to my normal self what I had before.
- 16:21And so it, you know, that was really great confidence to go.
- 16:25Oh I can do this again and Now, I know kind of a rhythm of it,
- 16:29you know, you do a lot of Fitness.
- 16:32Yeah, right. So yeah, that was definitely
- 16:36something wrong, like, you know, the unknown, we got, you know,
- 16:39worried about the unknown. You never know.
- 16:41So, really good to show myself that I could do that, and get
- 16:46back to where I was before, and feel really good about that and
- 16:48it feels just great to be healthy and be able to move
- 16:51around nicely because you're going to take some kids do that.
- 16:55But I know it's definitely. I'm worried about like only one
- 16:58addition to that, I slow down, which they do.
- 17:00It is a bit of a Hiatus, but it doesn't have to be every time
- 17:04I've been pregnant. I've self submitted myself a
- 17:06project. That seemed interesting.
- 17:07And honestly, like, I didn't start showing until the first
- 17:10one. I did show until six months
- 17:12actually shot an independent pilot with perdita in India at
- 17:16six months. And no one knew I was pregnant
- 17:18which is clean. Again, the character was very
- 17:20kind of baggy clothes so if it was fitted they might have known
- 17:23but close so that was fun. No one.
- 17:27New and then thinking later on because we needed to do some
- 17:31reshoots and so people found it at that point but it all worked
- 17:37out. I need to be a little baggy
- 17:39here. Yeah, exactly.
- 17:57You just shift gears, mentally for me at least where I'm like,
- 18:00I'm going to work on my craft and be in class.
- 18:03I mean we're always in class but when I'm pregnant too I'm like
- 18:06okay. When I really do everything I
- 18:08can that I might not be able to do while I'm pregnant.
- 18:11I'm doing all the other things where it's like, you know, I'm
- 18:14really focused on getting a getting getting better, reaching
- 18:16new levels in my work and doing a class and working hard on that
- 18:20and then we write a lot and so it's like if you will shift, use
- 18:23write a lot and then I'm also like look, let's look further
- 18:27York. Career while I'm pregnant
- 18:28because I won't get as my job. Let's just, you know, don't get
- 18:32as many opportunities and so it's nice to be like, let's put
- 18:35yours in as much full motion as we can.
- 18:40You know? Because you can go out and do
- 18:41stuff. I can hang out here, and so
- 18:43that's something that people love to.
- 18:46Yeah. And I think you're funny, you're
- 18:51pregnant, I was always boiling. Like the warmest at night, which
- 18:59is so weird. Yeah, I'd be like, it's hot.
- 19:02He's like, it's freezing in here.
- 19:09If I just turn down the air a little bit because it's freaking
- 19:12freezing. It like, no put on a sweater.
- 19:17Well, it should be like, well I was pulled earlier but she's
- 19:19wearing a sweatshirt and I'm like, I don't know.
- 19:27Pregnant, you get whatever you want the third time.
- 19:36Yes, in the acting business. Like there's so much uncertainty
- 19:48already. Like you never know what's going
- 19:52to be what the next day is going to look like over the next
- 19:55couple of months are going to look like.
- 19:56So this idea of Like of going like well I have to wait till I
- 20:02get everything set before I live my life.
- 20:05Yeah can really leave. You never living your life and
- 20:10just waiting for your career to you know.
- 20:12So if you're someone who goes, I think my life is meant to be
- 20:17more than just my my career and I think both of us have that and
- 20:22Instagram and I mean something I've taken to say in the last
- 20:25few years is that they show my demo reel at my feet.
- 20:27General. I've made a terrible mistake and
- 20:31and I know absolutely. And so it's just going to I'm
- 20:35not going to put. There's no reason to put our
- 20:37lives on hold because it adds an element of uncertainty.
- 20:40This is a really uncertain career as it is.
- 20:43So might as well live the life that you want.
- 20:47Yeah. Be okay.
- 20:49With the uncertainty. Like we didn't get into this for
- 20:51certainty. So yeah, I love doing it.
- 20:55So it's like, you know, you want to keep doing.
- 20:57What you love and we absolutely love love acting like that could
- 21:00love, right? It's that's why we're going to
- 21:01keep doing it and that's why I think having that thought of
- 21:04like it's a marathon not a Sprint.
- 21:06Yeah. Is a great.
- 21:07It's just a great phrase to know because it's so true.
- 21:10It's like yeah you gotta live your life and keep going because
- 21:13it's like what do you only play on acting and your youthful
- 21:16young ears? Are you going along like a
- 21:18career? A lot of longevity and it's like
- 21:20that's you want to keep asking you at one of fizzle out at some
- 21:23point and then people go add, you know, we don't want them
- 21:26anymore and it's like Like no knowing what you don't want
- 21:28career. So it's like lick, it makes it
- 21:31richer to. And I'm sure you're noticing
- 21:33that wealth of emotion. Now, that your path is your mom
- 21:36would like you can cry at the drop of a hat.
- 21:40I had a battery commercial, you know, that mean like living your
- 21:48life. If you live up the whole as a
- 21:52whole person and you live a fuller life that has made me a
- 21:56much. More emotionally available actor
- 22:02than before that before that. I mean, you know, that it's the
- 22:06life stuff happening that, you know, they keep their emotions
- 22:10that you've never experienced before until you are responsible
- 22:15for another human life, you know, and really responsible.
- 22:19Yeah. Yeah.
- 22:25So I think. Yeah.
- 22:26I mean there. Are there things?
- 22:28I never knew that. I couldn't possibly know how to
- 22:31act, or they did not exist in me before having kids.
- 22:36So, I think I've seen exponential growth as an actor
- 22:41in the time since since we've had kids.
- 22:44And so same here. I mean, yeah, we both felt
- 22:57Challenge to rise to and boy, it's so much more of a challenge
- 23:01when you are pregnant with your third.
- 23:02We have two little ones. I'm like you have such an even
- 23:06even heal, you know temperament. But I'm like, wow, I'm really,
- 23:11really getting pushed sometimes because it's like we got one who
- 23:14like tops, and she's amazing vocabulary and amazing
- 23:18conversations, but it's pretty non-stop like sometimes, you
- 23:21can't get a job. So I mean, it's just it's, it's,
- 23:25I think it's like it. You're doing you're being pushed
- 23:29so much. And then also, like, we're still
- 23:32wanting to bring as much like all the professionalism that we,
- 23:35if you want to be great at our craft and do all that.
- 23:37So it we both have had conversations, right?
- 23:41When we became parents, we were we talked a lot, right?
- 23:44But we talk a lot when we were dating and engaged in all that
- 23:48like how come on and raise the kids and how they want to also
- 23:51still have, you know, still go after our careers.
- 23:53It's so important to do that. It's been a lot of those like,
- 23:56prep conversations to know how Both approaching at how your
- 23:58proteins together and then I think something fun about what
- 24:03we talked about. Just when Brody was a little too
- 24:05was, okay, we need to be really efficient in our process so we
- 24:09need to get really good at what we do and also we can't take
- 24:14days to work on the character, right?
- 24:16We need to be so efficient and the great thing is like,
- 24:18especially with like self tapes. The turnaround is so quickly.
- 24:21As you know, it's like fast turnarounds and so for us being
- 24:25like, you know, we have limited time during the day.
- 24:27Work on these things will be swapping the kids between us
- 24:30instead of like a juggling thing but I think we've got a really,
- 24:34really good. Yeah and so it's like, you know,
- 24:36staying in class getting really good at your process and honing,
- 24:39pwning that bin. So you know you know you can
- 24:42immediately turn stuff around. Yeah.
- 24:44We've been like this is again like five pages and do an
- 24:52amazing job like a really great job.
- 24:55Like I look at that and I go That's one that's the as I'm as
- 24:59proud of that auditioned as anything I've ever done.
- 25:01It's like I think you know we go.
- 25:04Okay and he two to three hours for that, you know?
- 25:06And and it's like you know it reminds me of like college when
- 25:10you have like your exams and everything.
- 25:12I like you, you know, the time for you know when you have a
- 25:15full load of classes it's like I only have this amount of time
- 25:18for you know these classes to study for them and get it done.
- 25:20And he has a deadline all this stuff seems like it's the same
- 25:22thing. But now it's, you know, with
- 25:25this and so it's like we had conversations about that were
- 25:27like Look, we're gonna have to come really efficient at what we
- 25:29do. I'm going to have to really hone
- 25:31in our process. Yeah, we can't procrastinate.
- 25:34And that's another thing is, we can't procrastinate.
- 25:37We like, we can be like, I'm going to do that tomorrow.
- 25:39It's like for us we, if we get a self tape or like pretty much,
- 25:43were calling up right away if you want to do a coach and
- 25:45making sure we can get it as soon as we can, which means then
- 25:48whichever one you actually need to prep the other.
- 25:57It do self tapes. Like if it kill you if you have
- 26:01an audition do you guys are, do you read with her and then do
- 26:05good when the kids are like a sleep or like so yeah going in
- 26:10line with that basically. So whichever one of us gets one,
- 26:13it'll be like, okay, we're trying to get a coaching if we
- 26:16can you know quickly or if we feel like we don't need a
- 26:19coaching for that one or more, like the pretty much for like
- 26:22we're good to go. This is definitely done this
- 26:24before we know that character and so well.
- 26:27Well then go, you're going to take tonight.
- 26:30We always tape after the kids go to bed and there hasn't been
- 26:33anything. What's been so short that it's
- 26:34like immediately in a couple hours.
- 26:37Turn it around for voiceover. Yes, but that's different.
- 26:40And if there are also commercial actually just have just had one
- 26:42the other day where they like 4:00 and they were like and a
- 26:46day can you get a tape in for commercial commercial stuff?
- 26:57You know, you do want to make sure that you're feeling feeling
- 27:01really good and fully in the character, really get into that
- 27:03head space. So it does take a little bit
- 27:05longer. And so we want to take those at
- 27:06night. Basically, we're taking the
- 27:08night, we get the oxygen. Although sometimes, sometimes
- 27:10what we've done, we've like, if we're doing a coaching on an
- 27:15echo thing, which I mean most bigger theatrical stuff.
- 27:19We're coaching on, you know, it's always nice to get another
- 27:22set of. But so sometimes we will do is
- 27:24one personal. Take the kids out and personal
- 27:26coach and tape with the Coach over zoom and we just would like
- 27:31that too. And so then we can do that
- 27:32anytime a day but yeah, yeah, way to do that.
- 27:35So that's been the case is well, sometimes it always just depends
- 27:38but usually were Taping that night or if it's a longer
- 27:42deadline, it might be the next night.
- 27:44But honestly, we're trying to turn this around as fast as we
- 27:46can because it one that's great because when we get in sooner,
- 27:49but then also and we've talked about it because their promises
- 27:51got so efficient, like it's taken time to get to that point
- 27:55and, and I do this, but, but I do the right things about Acid.
- 27:58And for a while in class, we were always trying to go.
- 28:01What is the? Let me bite off as much as I can
- 28:04possibly do in here. So it was like you can do one
- 28:06two or three scenes from this one, you know, series regular
- 28:10auditions like great, I'm doing all three scenes and we're going
- 28:13to start prepping on Monday night for Wednesday class.
- 28:17You know, I like challenging ourselves whatever.
- 28:18Like, you know with Alex and whatever he'd put in one were
- 28:21like there was a page monologue within the scene of, you know,
- 28:25pick the artist one amazing, the heart.
- 28:28The hardest one because we're like, well, we want to push
- 28:31ourselves as far as an audition might ask of us deliver on that
- 28:35because further, yeah, to do that we want to be able to do
- 28:42that because we know we've got the kids we have a limited time
- 28:47of when it's quiet in the house. So, you know, and I or one of us
- 28:51takes the kids and we have a reader or resume, but the
- 28:56pushing ourselves To really get it, get our process in that
- 29:01trial. Yeah, it's been great because
- 29:03now honestly, I feel so confident in what I do.
- 29:06And so does he and it's like, I mean, it's amazing.
- 29:08It from where we were before kids to now.
- 29:11Yeah, I mean the fact that we can't repress me has made us
- 29:14better professionals at our job. Yeah.
- 29:16Positioning the other day that like, you know, in for the like
- 29:20the last six months, I would say for the first time in my life
- 29:24experiencing that like Every audition I'm turning in.
- 29:28I'm going. I bet that's that's the best
- 29:32audition I've ever turned in. You know, for every every single
- 29:35one for, you know, and in fact, I think I'm not totally insane
- 29:55business. This career choice is very, you
- 29:58know, changing all the time. So how do you?
- 30:03And we we love you. Probably did the same feel the
- 30:07same way. I assume how like you're showing
- 30:11your kids like that. You want to stick with something
- 30:15and pursue follow your dreams. You know, you can face rejection
- 30:20and keep going and all of that. But at the same time, how do you
- 30:25find consistency with your children?
- 30:30Your family as opposed to the inconsistency of the business.
- 30:36Like, I don't know if it's just like, making sure you're doing
- 30:39like, I don't know, family dinner or whatever it is.
- 30:44How do you balance? Consistency for kids and
- 30:50inconsistency of what we've chosen.
- 30:54Yeah, well, I think that was a little like, a long question.
- 31:02I think. So it was just, we were
- 31:04listening to somebody the other day, some, you know, rice Darby
- 31:09Darby, who is however, you say his name who is saying, like,
- 31:13even the most of the most successful actors were still,
- 31:16being most of their time on employer, you know, and and he's
- 31:20like and so like honestly we have a barely I mean after least
- 31:29consistent schedule I wake up with the kids at 6:30 in the
- 31:32morning and we hang out for a couple hours and then pregnant.
- 31:57Nice. Because, you know, we're able to
- 31:59do things and then we'll like, if we need to be anywhere, we
- 32:01also now have the money to travel there and recover the
- 32:04cost of a, you know, for some big shows, you know, you want to
- 32:08if you book a Big Show and it's like looking for a local hire
- 32:10but it's a great guest star role and it be something amazing for
- 32:14your career to move forward. It's like now we have the
- 32:18ability to do that without even like that which is amazing.
- 32:22It was so because we changed but in
- 32:51a month, And so it's like sometimes, maybe just kind of
- 32:59like, they probably I think we think we like to think they see
- 33:03it as a vacation. Yeah.
- 33:05Yeah. Yeah.
- 33:32Make it all cohesive. Yeah and I know I've asked you I
- 33:37think I already asked you outside the podcast but but how
- 33:45do you guys? I know like you said that you
- 33:48the money has been better since like not living in like the most
- 33:52expensive city in the world but what do you do?
- 33:57Or like, what is, like, you're consistent income?
- 34:00Or are you making enough from these jobs to suffice?
- 34:06Is that the right word? Yeah, I feel like there's been
- 34:10like yours that were like, you know, we have made a lot acting,
- 34:15like, right before. Right before we got, married was
- 34:17like, the first year that I fully made money just being an
- 34:21actress, which is like a huge goal of mine.
- 34:23Right? Before we got there, I was like
- 34:24full year of like just you and I was like, oh my gosh, it's
- 34:26amazing because it Beautiful. But again, it's like that always
- 34:29changes because again, there's the consistency and you never
- 34:32know. So that always changes, but
- 34:35voiceover has been a huge huge. Yeah, yes, special sales
- 34:47background and so like I still work in, you know, when I can
- 34:52sell stuff, I sell stuff. So I do some work in Precious
- 34:56Metals. And as a broker for a precious
- 34:59metals company and that's just kind of it comes in when it
- 35:01comes in and so that's nice but voiceover is a big part of it
- 35:07where that's been very helpful and writing as well as writing
- 35:09all the different Avenues converging or it's like it all,
- 35:13it all works out. But what do you guys, right?
- 35:15So yeah, so I'm going to couple of books written a couple of
- 35:22nonfiction books that are published in and that kind of
- 35:25thing. And then we write right pilots
- 35:29and sketch comedy together. And I used to write for there's
- 35:34this show that I also I was a, it was a, like, educational and
- 35:38comedy thing about spirituality and that I was a writer for it
- 35:44as well as as a host of it and stuff.
- 35:48And, you know, was able to make money doing both the writing and
- 35:52then also the hosting part of it too.
- 35:54So, which is, which is nice. Yeah.
- 35:57You know it's always different every year how the fight?
- 36:01Yeah we're have covered what the different pieces and apply our.
- 36:05It's what I do. It's amazing how wildly
- 36:09different each other and yeah, it's funny like keeping our cost
- 36:25of living, you know? Keep a living somewhere that
- 36:29were always feeling like that's well within our means and it's
- 36:32working out well. And then just, you know, having
- 36:35her different expenses in categories of savings and all
- 36:39those things that we do, it really helps and then cutting
- 36:42the cutting the overhead of where we lived.
- 36:44I'll be so much. Yeah, so I assume your reps are
- 36:49in Allah. Sorry, yeah.
- 36:52Actually have a lot of different reps across the country, believe
- 36:56we have My voiceover represent LA and our managers better.
- 37:02LOL. We have an agent here in Arizona
- 37:09in Chicago. She's she's great.
- 37:16Yeah, it's really fun being more available to these local markets
- 37:20doing over these other markets because yes it's it's no worry
- 37:24test to travel now and it I meant I remember before we Got
- 37:27married that like that, thought of like my book, something
- 37:30somewhere else, and you have to get this out there.
- 37:32It's like, oh well don't do that, you know, I've never seen
- 37:37before, pandemic, I had an Asian to Atlanta and, and at the
- 37:43beginning of covid, they dropped all their out of out-of-state
- 37:47clients, because it was friction, is around that goes
- 37:51up, but there was one time of users.
- 37:54Probably 25th, 2016, maybe that I guess 2016.
- 37:56I was working. Job in Atlanta.
- 37:59And I they have extended it by a day or I had gotten the date
- 38:02wrong or something like that and I was like, shoot, I didn't
- 38:04change my flight and I was like, I'm going to like take out
- 38:08another credit card because I don't have the money to extend.
- 38:11My stay here another one day and they the future, please feed for
- 38:15the credit card and for the airline.
- 38:19And so that was, it was kind of a crazy thing to do.
- 38:24Then, go guest, something's got to change here in.
- 38:27Oh, No. So yeah.
- 38:29So again here you have kids and then that's yeah.
- 38:34But so were there any differences like telling your
- 38:41Raps like her or just in general like feedback or differences
- 38:49between, you know, a woman and a man having a family curious if
- 38:55you've gotten any Negativity, or if it's or positivity or like,
- 39:02how your, how both of you, if there's been a difference
- 39:06between the two of you, if like, one of you who's got - I don't
- 39:12know. Well, no, I mean, I was worried
- 39:16that, that would be the case. I mean, maybe he prior to not
- 39:21put the people that I was with an m, with through all these
- 39:25pregnancies. Well, they've all been In a
- 39:27really great about it, but I think you beforehand, I had some
- 39:30concern about it, like I'm like, oh, I don't know how some people
- 39:33act react to this and I knew some other people's managers
- 39:36just from hearing stories, right?
- 39:38Did not react well. So that was also kind of like a
- 39:41but only telling you the horror stories, right?
- 39:46Exactly. But like you want want to know
- 39:49and like you know, a little nervous but right now, And a lot
- 39:58of them are moms and so it's really cool because they're very
- 40:01supportive and, you know, it was going a little nervous being
- 40:03like and start showing around here, but we like they came back
- 40:11super supportive. Our manager is super supportive
- 40:15and I forgot also that other agency that my fitness agency in
- 40:18La so supportive about it. Yeah, it's so nice and it's
- 40:22like, it feels so good to know about, that, Chicago agent.
- 40:24So supportive. Our local agent was like our
- 40:27local Agent here in Arizona, she was like, great.
- 40:28I'm gonna make it work for you and then because she got so
- 40:31excited to like we're gonna sell that bump and you'll be getting
- 40:34all these commercials. And yeah,
- 40:46it's been overwhelmingly positive and so wonderful that
- 40:49it was accepted that way and it's like, of course, you know,
- 40:52if you go on a little bit of a Hiatus, but I feel like I'm the
- 40:55type that like, it's not does not.
- 40:57Sit still, and I think we you and we have emphasized in
- 41:03speaking to reps and not just about having kids.
- 41:08But also then like we're moving to Las Vegas moving out of LA
- 41:11and that kind of thing of like a supportive about that here in
- 41:14Jerry's here is what we believe are to be is going to be a
- 41:16realistic impact and the time frame in which they're the demo.
- 41:21So, you know, it's like, okay from about eight months to three
- 41:25to four months, postpartum will probably be Be limited me being
- 41:29Limited in availability to shoot difficult things.
- 41:33Yeah, and for me is a little bit easier because I'm like, month
- 41:36of October don't book me for anything and then we're good.
- 41:41I always liked have now after having my first and knowing what
- 41:44the backside of it is, because it's like they're definitely has
- 41:47like a fourth trimester, you know, about three months
- 41:49postpartum. That's three months three months
- 41:52after is when I start to actually just feel like I'm back
- 41:55to normal in a way or banging her.
- 41:57For example, being and so at like, it was funny because
- 42:02someone was a guy, actually, a guy that I was working with and
- 42:07he was like, oh, so you're gonna like after you have the baby,
- 42:09you'll probably take a year off and I'm like, no, it isn't.
- 42:12I will never have any word but I don't take a year off.
- 42:17I'm like I'm I actually like until I had pregnancy brain when
- 42:20you were asked about the different pregnancies.
- 42:22So with obviously were writing a lot because that's what we could
- 42:24do. During the pandemic will shift
- 42:25gears and just be like monster straight.
- 42:27Because nothing's being shot or, you know, look like that and
- 42:30it's something with the third. Now, I was like, you know, doing
- 42:35doing what I can, and self submitted for some fun things
- 42:38that I thought, hey it, maybe it'll work, who knows?
- 42:41But, you know, look a little Pregnant.
- 42:43And So, I another pilot while pregnant here.
- 42:46And then yeah, seven months pregnant.
- 42:49When she was kind of crazy. I was like, oh my gosh it was a
- 42:52it was shot quickly and I had a lot of seeds, which is super
- 42:56fun. And There's it was awesome to
- 42:59push myself to do that. But then also I was like, I'm
- 43:01seven months, pregnant has a lot of people like they did on the
- 43:04set there. Like know a lot of people do
- 43:06this at like this late of pregnancy and I was like, yeah,
- 43:10yeah. But I'm happy to be here and I
- 43:12had such a good time doing it as funny because it's like I get so
- 43:15hyper focused and enjoy. What I'm doing so much that I
- 43:18did not feel pregnant the entire time I was there.
- 43:22Well, after the chutes were done, though, I was like, I need
- 43:26like three or four days to recover.
- 43:27Ever just because I was like, oh well I worked, I work.
- 43:30My butt off. But it was super fun, so I loved
- 43:32it. And then, what else?
- 43:35Oh yeah. And then we, and we've written a
- 43:36lot as well. So it's like and, you know,
- 43:38doing the commercial that Ivory Stephen between genders.
- 43:41It's fun. Just you know, seeing what's
- 43:43possible while you're pregnant to, you know, like seeing.
- 43:46Yeah, maybe there's still opportunity out there.
- 43:49Let's see. And I also got some auditions
- 43:51for actual pregnant roles with the Chicago agent, there was a
- 43:57Network shows and they wanted a real pregnant woman.
- 43:59So that was that was cool to see that coming into because I do
- 44:03that with the last two pregnancies, I did see what this
- 44:05one. So it's like, there are
- 44:06opportunities out there, you know, you just have to stay
- 44:08available for them. Yeah, yeah, I was surprised with
- 44:12the number of pregnant audition while you're pregnant.
- 44:16Yeah. Yeah.
- 44:19I'm always surprised when it is, you know, people are like, how
- 44:23are you going to take time off and all that?
- 44:26And it's like, It is interesting like did like you're saying,
- 44:31usually, we'll wait like three months after to like start
- 44:36working again. Or were you just kind of like,
- 44:39we'll see what comes in after each of the pregnancies.
- 44:42Or did you take like a specific amount of time where you were,
- 44:46like, I'll let you know when I'm ready to get back to
- 44:49auditioning. I'll be the first time where I
- 44:51didn't know what to expect, so it's kind of just like, well,
- 44:54we'll just see what happens is. You never go ahead and
- 44:56pregnancies, if it's Hire her cover.
- 44:58Hopefully, they all, you know, if you had a good kindness and
- 45:01hopefully all go the same, you know, your book for yeah.
- 45:04You never know. Every every pregnancy they say
- 45:06can be different, and so you just hold it folks.
- 45:09So if you know if they are the same as my first, mm was, which
- 45:13the second one was, and I'm hoping this one will be 2.
- 45:15I know about if I don't post events all feel back to myself.
- 45:19So that's when I'm like great, we can bend them, ready, bear
- 45:21are running and if he needs to take over with the kids, we do
- 45:25not pre months. Been pretty much More solid and
- 45:28durable at that time, you know? Yeah, editions.
- 45:33Yeah. Confident physically because
- 45:59it's like you know you just it's an adjustment but I think that
- 46:02was like the first time around. I think the second time around
- 46:05but pretty good immediately after I like it just you know,
- 46:09because you feel like, okay I got this.
- 46:11I know I know the way this shakes out because everything we
- 46:14love another one to run after still the time of Reckoning and
- 46:18then you have this time around to, it's like now I enjoy
- 46:22planning. The postpartum Journey bunch of
- 46:24results. I was excited.
- 46:57During that time I do and you know there's a ton of stuff like
- 47:01there's so many things like fix my online accounts all my yeah.
- 47:06Maybe a little bit too. Like just setting up a headshot
- 47:09session when I feel back to not be doing it like just all the
- 47:12things I can get in line that like, I have time to just kind
- 47:14of sit and you while I'm nursing or writing or or you know,
- 47:17reaching out to other people networking more just, you know
- 47:21am like just finding your opportunity where you can and
- 47:25you know, shifting gears to volleyball.
- 47:27You can and just kind of any other thing, too, is being
- 47:29patient with yourself. So, like, when I say shifting
- 47:32gears, I'm like, that's me going, it's okay.
- 47:34That things are going to slow down, or get a little different.
- 47:38No, you're going to shift back into that full force, momentum
- 47:42of auditioning, and doing all the other stuff later on.
- 47:44So it's like, might as well just give yourself a break, take a
- 47:47breath and enjoy that time because it is a special time
- 47:52like all the nursing and all the closeness in the little people
- 47:55like teeny baby stuff. Like it's so Fast of that Parts
- 47:58over with it. It is just enjoy it.
- 48:01Like, you know, if you don't want to push yourself like
- 48:03crazy, take that time to really enjoy it because it really does
- 48:07change at three months. It's like they start changing
- 48:10and they start changing every three months.
- 48:11And then after that, it's like every month.
- 48:14And then, every two weeks, they start changing.
- 48:16So it's it's yeah, just giving yourself that time to do that.
- 48:26That's a good. Headspace to be in like, you
- 48:29seem very like, Zen about the whole thing.
- 48:57Go right back into it before. I know it, you know.
- 49:00Yeah, that's good. Um, what age do you guys think
- 49:04it was? I will I know, I guess.
- 49:06Now it's different because you have multiple.
- 49:09But what, what ages do you think so far?
- 49:14I guess that have have been easier when it comes to like
- 49:19career stuff and like auditioning and going places of
- 49:26what has been like Like more challenging like is it easier
- 49:30when they are three months and can't move yet.
- 49:35Like, I'm trying to take advantage of her neck not
- 49:39pulling anything down and all that.
- 49:43Or is it like did you find it more challenging?
- 49:46Because they were colicky or I don't know.
- 49:49Like how how have you stuff changes?
- 49:54So frequently that it's hard to nail down Now, largely forgotten
- 49:58but so, I don't know if I can say age brackets.
- 50:02But there are these sweet spots that show up every few months,
- 50:05where for a month or two like, they'll be, you know, just like
- 50:12competent enough that they don't require 24.
- 50:17You know, like every second supervision competent enough
- 50:20without being overconfident, so they don't require every second
- 50:25supervision. Yeah.
- 50:27But Then the balance shifts and confident than they are
- 50:30competent at what they think. They should we go and I'm like,
- 50:33but now I've got to watch you all the time because I
- 50:41understand what you mean, where it's like you have to like laser
- 50:44for. Yeah, you can turn your like it.
- 50:48Look at him go. I'm going to turn this direction
- 50:50and doing the dishes while you're sitting in your high
- 50:53chair you're not going to try to be climbing out of your hide
- 50:56show right now. Wait, you know, a few weeks
- 50:58later and you're like, wait this is great and then for like a
- 51:01week you're like I can do the dishes while we're hanging out
- 51:03for a minute. Yeah, snacking and then you
- 51:06know, two weeks go by your like I have a new routine and then
- 51:11tell people about your new routine, your kids are is like
- 51:14climbing out of their chair and like somehow before that they
- 51:17should not have any like, well, I guess that was fun but we had
- 51:21an empty. So enjoy it while it lasts.
- 51:24Yeah. But I did.
- 51:27They also just so, I would say that like, you know, any time
- 51:30you're a new parent. Your first kid, it feels like,
- 51:33oh my gosh, she wasn't such a shift of life but now having
- 51:36multiple kids the new babies, the easiest right now.
- 51:42But you know, the funny thing about that is like, you don't
- 51:47know what until you have multiple, right, right.
- 51:49Like it's like so it's almost like Go on dates.
- 51:58They can sleep during the date, right next to you in the
- 52:01stroller, you know? And so it's like, or like, you
- 52:04know, if you guys have to work jobs, like it's, you know, it's
- 52:06pretty easy to just, like, swap them between parents.
- 52:09Like, they see how much you can take them on stroller walks, you
- 52:13know. They're not saying no to getting
- 52:15in their car seat. Yeah.
- 52:17Yeah. That was one of the first things
- 52:19I thought when we brought her home from the hospital, I was
- 52:22like, how do people have more than one of these?
- 52:25How you have a toddler? ER, at the same time but I guess
- 52:29like, yeah, what I shouldn't think of having to before what I
- 52:34owe me over here, what it's like.
- 52:36Um, okay, so I know we don't have a ton of time left so I
- 52:41definitely want to know like what is something two last
- 52:45questions? What is like, you're perfect.
- 52:50I know it's so hard to balance every day, but each of your
- 52:55like, ideal day That would balance both your career and
- 53:01family. What what what does that look
- 53:04like in your like ideal balanced day?
- 53:11Yeah. Okay well I mean so on like just
- 53:15a date the other day to me it's like getting a couple hours of
- 53:19just like family time and then us both having like a couple
- 53:24hours to work together on this on the things that we share
- 53:27together like writing or working on our scenes or the auditions
- 53:33and that kind of thing. And and having a, at least an
- 53:38hour to key in on the stuff that we each one.
- 53:40I do individually for our careers.
- 53:44Any time to work out to your, get it to work.
- 53:46And make sure we always have that to right now.
- 53:48Obviously, I've just done what feels right for my body at this
- 53:53point, but made sure that like, you know, you're almost getting
- 53:55into the gym every every day. Yeah.
- 53:58And then obviously that shifts when it's like you're on a job
- 54:03and you're working for a couple of days or a couple of weeks and
- 54:07that kind of thing. And then the balance just Has to
- 54:10shift for that. And, and, and that's just an
- 54:16extraordinary circumstance that you just deal with it as it as
- 54:21it comes. And you go, okay?
- 54:22So now one of us is working right now and so we're going to
- 54:25do that and it you know, sometimes it's Josh one, like
- 54:27I've had a job in you've had a job and we've both been working
- 54:31the same day and or parts of the same day and stuff like that.
- 54:34But luckily we've been able to figure it out and then family
- 54:37helps. Because when we're in, l.a. my
- 54:38family can help and when we Had stuff here.
- 54:41My parents ended up moving here, not too long after us because
- 54:45you know that it would be a great change of pace as well
- 54:48from being from La forever and yeah cost.
- 54:51So they came out to Arizona that has helped a lot because there
- 54:55have been times we both booked a job so my parents watch the kids
- 54:57for us. Yeah.
- 54:58Which is a huge help and then it were in La we both booked a job,
- 55:02then used my sister's help out, which is amazing.
- 55:04So you know, family has helped out so much in this in this
- 55:08whole thing. And and again like You know, we
- 55:10were getting a lot of auditions in Chicago to considering the
- 55:14fact that like, hey might be there for a few weeks, shooting
- 55:16something, which would be amazing and great would love
- 55:18that. So there were people travel
- 55:20together and we'll see which grandparent wants to come with
- 55:23us. If need be because his parents
- 55:26are not too far from the East Coast Midwest area.
- 55:30So it's like you know the other set of grandparents could join
- 55:33us too. So it's like you know kind of
- 55:35making that work in then hopefully making it work for
- 55:37everybody where you know they want to come visit.
- 55:40Forbidden yeah and help out and do that.
- 55:42But yeah thankfully thankfully our families have been very
- 55:45helpful to Partners in. Yeah.
- 55:47Yeah. Yeah.
- 55:49And then what is one thing that maybe this might be the same
- 55:54answer for each for both of you or different?
- 55:57But what something that is like just kind of like saved you
- 56:02throughout like the whole parenting thing like just either
- 56:07like a product or like Saying, or just in general what what
- 56:14something that's saved you as a parent in general or
- 56:18specifically like apparent in the industry?
- 56:22Yeah, I mean, if for a saying, we're on the same team.
- 56:25Yeah, that's exactly the same things and we want the best for
- 56:34each other and just, we just got to remember that.
- 56:36And so if they're ever feels like a time, when going a word,
- 56:40There's like conflict about arise going.
- 56:43Okay, let me understand what you want more because I'm sure I
- 56:47want the same thing. So let's let's make this work
- 56:49for me. Talking on communicator.
- 57:10Miss the beach other when things because there's times that
- 57:13things get tense, and it's like my miscommunicating.
- 57:15Yeah. And so that's been something
- 57:17that's really helped. Yeah, and that's just saying,
- 57:18sorry but saying hey, I didn't behave the way I wanted to
- 57:22there, will you forgive me for that?
- 57:24And then we have a person thing. Yes, I will immediately
- 57:40Yeah, I'm sure that's helpful. When you When one of you book
- 57:48something and the other one doesn't I'm like it is, it is
- 57:52hard because yeah, you are on the same team and what's good
- 57:55for one of you is good for both of you but it is hard.
- 57:58If one of you book something and the other ones like, well I
- 58:01didn't book what I wanted to feel like, I know, maybe I'm
- 58:05just selfish but I think I think that a lot where I'm like this
- 58:11right now, like, pasta is, my husband is getting a lot of
- 58:14auditions and I'm like, whoa. But yeah we're on the same team
- 58:21that it's a good thing to where it's like.
- 58:25But again you know, maybe that's come with having multiple
- 58:28pregnancies now and kind of having the like again, it's a
- 58:31huge trust in the the way everything works and going you
- 58:36know, I know I'm going to be busy again at some point and
- 58:40he's going to have to watch the kids in the babies for, you
- 58:43know, for me and and he does so much.
- 58:45Oh my God, she says Wonderful kind of that it is so so much so
- 58:49thankful. And so it's like, you know, kind
- 58:51of just like this this time around to I was like, hey I'm
- 58:55getting pregnant, I won't be able to do as much.
- 58:57So let's let's get your things for you.
- 59:00Let's get you out there and more.
- 59:02Yeah you know, that's where we found, you know, he got that
- 59:05agent in Utah and tells a great, you know, and so big.
- 59:08I think it's like a the second third time around too.
- 59:10So I know that like, it takes a lot of patience and a lot of
- 59:12like learning to. Yeah, just be patient.
- 59:16About it, I guess because I was like, I just know the reality of
- 59:19it. Like it's not going to be as
- 59:20much from me right now, which is fine.
- 59:22And I'm like, because it again, it's like, you know, if you end
- 59:25up looking something big, it's like, it's going to be great for
- 59:27us and great for your career, and great for everything.
- 59:29So it's like, you know, kind of going like, now is the time that
- 59:32we put, you know, more wait until what you're doing.
- 59:36And then I know that like you every time I've said that he's
- 59:38gone. Well, no, we don't we're not
- 59:40going to forget about yours. I sometimes feel like focusing
- 59:45more on the other person. Then, you know, you want then in
- 59:48turn do the same thing for me. Yeah, I think that's, that's the
- 59:52that's the call of love, right? As to will the good of the
- 59:55other. And so to challenge ourselves
- 59:58with that and to go, how can I want the best good for you and
- 1:00:03see that it do my part to see that it happens, you know,
- 1:00:06because he has been times where, like one of us is getting, you
- 1:00:09know, a bunch of great auditions in a row.
- 1:00:12Yeah, hasn't heard anything and it can get frustrating, you
- 1:00:14know? Yeah.
- 1:00:16Real frustrating, but at the same time, it's like, I think
- 1:00:21now we've gone through that and, and again, like willing to go to
- 1:00:25be the person. We're really on the same team.
- 1:00:27Yeah. We want the other person to have
- 1:00:29these wonderful Milestone. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:00:34So, we're excited. So excited even more excited
- 1:00:38when like something really good comes in for him Friday, you
- 1:00:44know? And so I think I know that you
- 1:00:46feel that way for me, when I get ya, it's like, sometimes we'll
- 1:00:49get with three or four crazy auditions in a row and the other
- 1:00:53person is, it's, you know, a moment where they don't have
- 1:00:56anything coming in and yeah, like, hey, Marcus Lee.
- 1:00:59So I think the way we've looked at that too is going and this is
- 1:01:01kind of great the way it's working out because I'd rather
- 1:01:04you focus on your thing book that I can do with the kids and
- 1:01:08then I know that that's going to happen for me a few weeks ago.
- 1:01:11Hope I booked that you can be with, I mean, it's almost like
- 1:01:13better than it's like like The positive way to look at it is
- 1:01:17going like, hey, if you're busy right now, great book, all that,
- 1:01:20because you're going to let it rain in 44, one of us at a time.
- 1:01:25So, yeah. And just some practical, the in
- 1:01:29regards to. So, a couple of things that
- 1:01:31we've learned that have been real life.
- 1:01:33Savers have been with this feed that baby and fatten them up
- 1:01:38real quick so they'll see it better that to the book, The
- 1:01:43Sleep solution helped us out a lot with the first one because
- 1:01:47she was great and we should have done it better with the second
- 1:01:52one, but he likes sleep. And I think well, he does now
- 1:01:55but remember, they were, they were yeah.
- 1:02:00Yeah, we it was tough because it was I was so tired with the one
- 1:02:05that it was hard for me to lay down the law for myself about
- 1:02:09doing the Sleep solution with the second one.
- 1:02:11And the third thing is, is soon as they start eating solid
- 1:02:15foods, get them on the toilet. Yes, that's what.
- 1:02:18We've learned with between our first and our second, but he was
- 1:02:21doing it. Because again, he is an amazing,
- 1:02:23amazing father, and he's like this year, amazing.
- 1:02:27And because I was like, I was still You know, it was hard
- 1:02:31because, you know, I was so feeling very busy with both of
- 1:02:34them. And so, he took it upon himself
- 1:02:36to with our son, hold him on the toilet, at six months, when he
- 1:02:39started eating solid food and having and you would, you could
- 1:02:43tell because he was good news out to.
- 1:02:45Yeah, because when they started the food, you can then tell when
- 1:02:49they're going to go to the bathroom.
- 1:03:30First as much longer to get. Yeah.
- 1:03:32Take as much longer to get her to walk to go on the toilet.
- 1:03:36Number two. Yeah, so it's so much better and
- 1:03:40so we're like with the third, now we're going to do the same
- 1:03:42thing holding her on it, six months because it really works.
- 1:03:44And so obviously he's not fully potty-trained but he won't poop
- 1:03:47in his diaper unless it's like an emergency full emergency
- 1:03:51accident in the car like other than that if I think he's only
- 1:03:54at like pooped in his diaper like seven times totally.
- 1:03:57Yeah. Thank you guys so much.
- 1:04:19I know I'm sure you're tired and exhausted and have your hands
- 1:04:24full, but I'm so excited for you to be here and I'm so excited
- 1:04:27for your third one. To come along.
- 1:04:30I can't wait. It's so soon.
- 1:04:33Please post all the pictures. Oh yeah.
- 1:04:38I love seeing. I love seeing all the cooing
- 1:04:40ones that you're showing the baby muzzling like the, you
- 1:04:43know, the post for singing and the napping I'm like yes.
- 1:04:51Well, congratulations. And thank you guys so much
- 1:04:53again. Thank you.
