Speaker 1: Nobody does it like your early by prayers party. I
• 0:03
Speaker 1: am Sherry Mackie, and it's time right now for today's word.
• 0:08
  Speaker 2: It's not logic, it's faith.
• 0:12
Speaker 1: Acts twenty eighty five, says in the New Living Translation,
• 0:15
Speaker 1: Paul shook off the snake into the fire and was unharmed.
• 0:21
Speaker 1: When the apostle Paul survived being shipwreck and would safe
• 0:25
Speaker 1: on the shores of the island of Malta, a poisonous
• 0:28
Speaker 1: snake bit him on the hand, y'all. The natives who
• 0:31
Speaker 1: saw it happen, they knew that it was only a
• 0:34
Speaker 1: matter of time before he would swell up and suddenly
• 0:37
Speaker 1: drop dead. But Paul simply shook off the snake and
• 0:41
Speaker 1: went on with his business unharmed. Now, from a logical
• 0:47
Speaker 1: human point of view, he should have been scared, y'all,
• 0:51
Speaker 1: But he already had a promise from God that he
• 0:54
Speaker 1: would make it to roam and stand before Caesar. He
• 0:56
Speaker 1: knew that nothing could snatch him from God's purpose for
• 0:59
  Speaker 1: his life.
• 1:01
  Speaker 2: See, when we.
• 1:02
Speaker 1: Over analyze our problems, when we try to reason things
• 1:05
Speaker 1: out and look at our circumstances and take our focus
• 1:08
Speaker 1: off Christ, y'all, it hinders our faith. That's why the
• 1:12
Speaker 1: scripture says, lean not to your own understanding. Take this
• 1:18
Speaker 1: in the right sense, Take this in the right sense.
• 1:20
Speaker 1: But sometimes you got to turn off your mind, in
• 1:23
Speaker 1: other words, your natural mind. You've got to have a
• 1:27
Speaker 1: spiritual mind. You gotta think spiritually. Faith is not of
• 1:31
Speaker 1: the mind. Faith is of the heart. Let me re real,
• 1:36
Speaker 1: real clear, let me be perfectly clear. We've got to
• 1:39
Speaker 1: use common sense, y'all, and make good decisions. Now, Paul
• 1:43
Speaker 1: didn't go searching for a snake. He wasn't trying to
• 1:46
Speaker 1: prove how spiritually he was by handling his snake. No, no, no,
• 1:50
Speaker 1: that's foolishness. The snake bit him and that was a
• 1:54
Speaker 1: distraction on his way to purpose, and he didn't.
• 1:56
Speaker 2: Let that deter him.
• 1:58
Speaker 1: He kept his eyes focused on Jesus and what his
• 2:01
Speaker 1: promise was from the Father. So don't let your logic
• 2:05
Speaker 1: talk you out of what God put in your heart.
• 2:09
Speaker 2: It's not logic, y'all, it's faith, Father God. Thank you.
• 2:13
Speaker 1: Then, no matter what the problem or obstacle in our lives,
• 2:17
Speaker 1: it will not stop your purpose or your planing for
• 2:20
Speaker 1: our lives. Thank You that we're not limited to leaning
• 2:23
Speaker 1: on our own understanding. More abilities, God We believe that
• 2:27
Speaker 1: you always have the final saying that what you have
• 2:30
Speaker 1: purposed is on the way in our lives in Jesus' name.
• 2:35
Speaker 2: Now that's your word for today.
• 2:37
Speaker 1: I want you to take that apply to your everyday
• 2:39
Speaker 1: life and you continue to be encouraged and inspired.
• 2:42
Speaker 2: We're having a party on the radio.
• 2:44
