- 2:39Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 2:39Speaker 7: You have to celebrate my husband's birthday yesterday one week.
- 2:46Speaker 5: What a stretch of time this guy's having.
- 2:48Speaker 7: I know, I know. We go from the wedding to
- 2:50Speaker 7: his birthday to mother's day.
- 2:52Speaker 5: Well, happy birthday, Christopher. Yeah, thank you, very nice. What'd
- 2:55Speaker 5: you guys do anything?
- 2:56Speaker 7: Age of fifty two?
- 2:59Speaker 6: Baby he is?
- 3:00Speaker 9: He is?
- 3:01Speaker 7: Yeah, we went to uh, we went to Texas Roadhouse.
- 3:05Speaker 6: Nice, the new one up there, the new one up in.
- 3:08Speaker 6: They kill it. Man, they're doing a good job.
- 3:09Speaker 7: Oh it was it was slam pat meal.
- 3:12Speaker 4: Yeah, they do a wonderful job. I mean, that's why
- 3:14Speaker 4: they're the number one casual restaurant in America right now.
- 3:16Speaker 4: They took over Olive Garden because you can never have
- 3:18Speaker 4: a bad experience, and the prices are fair.
- 3:20Speaker 7: Also, especially for right now Texas Roadhouse.
- 3:23Speaker 6: Trump's Country just works right now.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:25Speaker 5: Yeah, a lot of steak eaters up there, but it
- 3:28Speaker 5: just checks out for sure. Hey, I got a question
- 3:31Speaker 5: for you guys, because I did some work around this
- 3:32Speaker 5: house and I ran into a thing.
- 3:35Speaker 6: Oh oh is it an ee sight thing? No, no,
- 3:38Speaker 6: not an eyesight thing.
- 3:39Speaker 4: So I I We're doing a bunch of work around
- 3:44Speaker 4: the house, and my wife says, hey, look, you know,
- 3:46Speaker 4: we need to pressure wash the front of the house
- 3:48Speaker 4: because we have a bunch of oak trees around. And
- 3:50Speaker 4: the oak trees will you know, they'll when the rain hits,
- 3:53Speaker 4: it'll drip that stain and it'll stay in the part
- 3:55Speaker 4: of your house a little bit. And the eves of
- 3:57Speaker 4: our house had that drippy kind of like an old
- 4:00Speaker 4: haunted house kind of look. So it's time to clean them.
- 4:02Speaker 4: So we as we were doing some stuff, I said, well,
- 4:04Speaker 4: I'll get out. We have a little electric pressure washer.
- 4:06Speaker 4: It's just like a little residential pressure washer, just for
- 4:09Speaker 4: doing stuff like this. I mean, that's all it's good for.
- 4:11Speaker 7: Use any of that wed and forget they.
- 4:13Speaker 5: No, no, no, I didn't use any of that stuff.
- 4:15Speaker 5: So I'm just gonna get up there and do that.
- 4:16Speaker 6: Right.
- 4:17Speaker 5: So I get all my stuff out, get the pressure
- 4:18Speaker 5: washer hooked up, and I get up there and I
- 4:20Speaker 5: start pressure washing, and I notice these little sacks that
- 4:24Speaker 5: are attached to the eve of my house, right, And
- 4:27Speaker 5: I've seen them before.
- 4:28Speaker 6: I know what it is.
- 4:29Speaker 5: It's a spider sack, right, It's a spider egg sack. Right,
- 4:33Speaker 5: So I house sacks.
- 4:34Speaker 4: So I stopped what I'm doing, and I was like, Okay, well,
- 4:37Speaker 4: I actually want to go do some research on dealing
- 4:40Speaker 4: with this because I don't know what the deal is, right.
- 4:43Speaker 4: I mean, I kind of try to take everything into
- 4:45Speaker 4: consideration while I'm doing my stuff, not to upset the
- 4:48Speaker 4: balance of nature and man blah blah blah blah blah.
- 4:50Speaker 4: I know it doesn't seem like, I'm that guy, but
- 4:52Speaker 4: sometimes say where's Jim? Sometimes I can be that guy? Right,
- 4:57Speaker 4: So I go in a hop online real quick, and
- 5:00Speaker 4: I the very first thing I see and I just
- 5:03Speaker 4: kind of stopped there. The very first thing I see
- 5:04Speaker 4: is that it's bad luck to remove a spider sack
- 5:10Speaker 4: from your house. Now we know that there's all these
- 5:12Speaker 4: weird kind of old wives tales and stuff, and man,
- 5:17Speaker 4: I looked at it and I was like, I don't know, dude,
- 5:20Speaker 4: there's a bunch of them. So I ignored the advice
- 5:24Speaker 4: and I went out there and I pressure blasted what
- 5:27Speaker 4: has to be thirty spider sack eggs off of the
- 5:31Speaker 4: eve of the front of my house.
- 5:33Speaker 5: Oh so much for loving nature. Well, I do love it,
- 5:36Speaker 5: but I to a limit. Well, I like it from
- 5:39Speaker 5: a disciss. I can't pressure wash around them, dude, they
- 5:41Speaker 5: were everywhere.
- 5:44Speaker 4: So I blasted them off there. And I've never heard
- 5:46Speaker 4: that they were good bad luck. Have you ever heard
- 5:48Speaker 4: that before?
- 5:49Speaker 7: I've heard killing spiders is bad luck.
- 5:51Speaker 4: Yeah, that's that's apparently where it comes from. But I mean,
- 5:54Speaker 4: it's just it's an egg sack.
- 5:57Speaker 7: Are you looking to have us make you feel better?
- 5:59Speaker 5: I promise issue I'm not. I'm just didn't notice.
- 6:02Speaker 7: You came to the wrong place.
- 6:03Speaker 6: If you had heard of it or not, have you
- 6:05Speaker 6: heard anything else like that.
- 6:06Speaker 5: I've heard of black cats, never anything nothing about spiders.
- 6:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I haven't heard anything like that, like a bad
- 6:12Speaker 4: luck to do this or like the black cat thing
- 6:15Speaker 4: when it comes to animals. You know, we had those
- 6:17Speaker 4: stupid things on your chimney last year.
- 6:20Speaker 7: Oh, the chimney swifts.
- 6:22Speaker 4: And I think they're back because I didn't get up
- 6:24Speaker 4: there and fix the chimney, because it's like it's a
- 6:26Speaker 4: death wish to get up they're trying to do that.
- 6:28Speaker 4: I got on my roof today, just yesterday, just trying
- 6:30Speaker 4: to pressure wash the eve of the side of the house,
- 6:32Speaker 4: and in the minute I stepped on the edge of it,
- 6:35Speaker 4: I was like, it doesn't look that steep, but I'm like,
- 6:36Speaker 4: this was a mistake. Immediately I started having visions of
- 6:40Speaker 4: rolling off that thing and dying right there with a
- 6:42Speaker 4: pressure washer.
- 6:43Speaker 7: My aunt on top of a spider sat on top.
- 6:45Speaker 6: Of a bunch of spider sacks. I blew up. And
- 6:47Speaker 6: once you clean it too, I think you have to
- 6:49Speaker 6: talk like I think chimney's chimney sweep.
- 6:54Speaker 5: I think that's Florida law. As soon as you clean
- 6:56Speaker 5: your your clean your chimney. It's like for and br
- 7:00Speaker 5: let me tell you, finding a chimney sweep in central
- 7:03Speaker 5: Florida that goes above the two story area is for
- 7:07Speaker 5: one thing hard to find. And second, those guys are
- 7:10Speaker 5: not afraid to charge because if you have to get
- 7:13Speaker 5: your chimney like you know, swept or repaired or any
- 7:16Speaker 5: of that stuff, or like on top of hours, it
- 7:19Speaker 5: has bird wire up there, but obviously there's been an
- 7:22Speaker 5: issue where it got blown away from a storm or something.
- 7:24Speaker 5: And these chimney swifts will come in seasonally and set
- 7:28Speaker 5: up shopping your damn chimney and do their eggs and
- 7:30Speaker 5: then in your chimney it sounds like a what's a
- 7:34Speaker 5: it sounds like a bird reserve. I mean it's terrible.
- 7:37Speaker 5: It's so loud sometimes you can't hear yourself think of
- 7:39Speaker 5: the ouse. And then they can charge whatever they want
- 7:41Speaker 5: because they're like drug dealers out in home a hall
- 7:44Speaker 5: in Nebraska, Like where else are you gonna go?
- 7:46Speaker 6: Dude?
- 7:46Speaker 4: And you're right, And when you start looking up and
- 7:48Speaker 4: it says like a lot of the chimney sweeps that
- 7:49Speaker 4: I tried to find last year when we bought two
- 7:53Speaker 4: years ago, when we bought this house, man, these guys
- 7:55Speaker 4: are like, well, is it more than two stories? We're like, yeah,
- 7:58Speaker 4: you know, it's a main story and then the house
- 8:00Speaker 4: goes up. It's a steep pitch, and then on top
- 8:02Speaker 4: of that, the chimney goes up from there like eight
- 8:04Speaker 4: or ten feet. And I was like, They're like, nah,
- 8:07Speaker 4: don we don't do that. We're not part of that world.
- 8:10Speaker 6: I'm like, well, what do you do because we just
- 8:11Speaker 6: do the regular floor to chimneys. I'm like, well that's boring.
- 8:14Speaker 5: Who couldn't do that? I got you except with a
- 8:16Speaker 5: broom and do that. Yeah, we mainly do apartments. Yeah, yeah,
- 8:19Speaker 5: like what ridiculous. You know I heard a spider fact recently.
- 8:23Speaker 6: Oh what's that?
- 8:24Speaker 5: That your common house spider? A lot of people, including myself,
- 8:28Speaker 5: especially when I was younger, I would take them outside.
- 8:31Speaker 6: They die. Yeah.
- 8:33Speaker 7: I just learned that recently myself. What I mean, sighters,
- 8:36Speaker 7: they you're supposed to leave them in the house. They
- 8:38Speaker 7: don't necessarily survive out in the wild.
- 8:39Speaker 6: Oh no way. Yeah, I did not know that either. Oh.
- 8:43Speaker 7: I always catch them and put them out.
- 8:44Speaker 6: That ain't happening, then, Yeah, we'll put them out of
- 8:47Speaker 6: their misery early.
- 8:48Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 8:48Speaker 5: The thing is is, I told my wife the other day, said,
- 8:50Speaker 5: I will stomp a roach's soul out, and every roach
- 8:54Speaker 5: that roach knows, I will kill with any chemical I can.
- 8:56Speaker 4: I'll set it on fire. I can't stand them. But
- 8:58Speaker 4: I will not kill a spider not inside the house.
- 9:01Speaker 4: I won't do it because I mean, they're.
- 9:03Speaker 7: Beneficial, Yeah, very beneficial.
- 9:05Speaker 6: Ely, you know, and people will judge a little bit
- 9:08Speaker 6: if you have too many of them.
- 9:10Speaker 4: I know we're going to talk about this a little
- 9:12Speaker 4: bit later. Spirit Airlines is shutting down. But there's an
- 9:14Speaker 4: interesting movement online. I want to tell you guys about that.
- 9:18Speaker 4: Uh that has done that and it is something else.
- 9:21Speaker 4: I know you've probably heard of it. Man, I can't
- 9:23Speaker 4: get this off my my feed, like on on Instagram.
- 9:27Speaker 4: Have you guys heard of the Great kitten replacement theory? No,
- 9:31Speaker 4: you haven't.
- 9:32Speaker 6: Your algorithm, man, I know you think that.
- 9:34Speaker 7: Would be in my part of my algorithm.
- 9:36Speaker 5: Have you heard of the Great kitten replacement Theory?
- 9:40Speaker 7: No?
- 9:40Speaker 4: So apparently and you And the funny thing is, of
- 9:44Speaker 4: all people that should know about it, you should know
- 9:46Speaker 4: about it because you're part of it. You are part
- 9:50Speaker 4: of the great kitten replacement theory. If I remember this correctly,
- 9:53Speaker 4: and I just read it once this weekend as a
- 9:55Speaker 4: glancing that when that there is a there is a
- 9:58Speaker 4: global power, like a spiritual power that is, look, man.
- 10:06Speaker 5: You lost death. I've never heard of, uh, make a
- 10:09Speaker 5: complete sentence.
- 10:11Speaker 4: A spiritual power that says that people who find kittens
- 10:18Speaker 4: that they're meant to do that that those kittens or
- 10:21Speaker 4: if you find a kitten like you did in the
- 10:24Speaker 4: bushes at this radio station, one of the three that
- 10:26Speaker 4: you have at the house now is a found kitten.
- 10:28Speaker 4: That that is not an accident, that that is by
- 10:32Speaker 4: design and that yeah, my dog sentence, And that is
- 10:37Speaker 4: like the theory is, is that there is a spiritual
- 10:40Speaker 4: power out there putting kittens in the in the in
- 10:43Speaker 4: the way of are in the realm of people who
- 10:47Speaker 4: need them, according to this great spiritual movement.
- 10:50Speaker 7: Now I know that it's not technically yours, but have
- 10:55Speaker 7: you guys heard Jimmy reference about his cat yet and
- 11:00Speaker 7: how his cat is now sleeping on his chest. He
- 11:02Speaker 7: even showed me a photo last week of his cat
- 11:06Speaker 7: drinking out of the water fountain.
- 11:08Speaker 5: He was.
- 11:08Speaker 7: He took a photo of his cat drinking from the sink.
- 11:12Speaker 6: That's four times you said his cat. That's how he
- 11:15Speaker 6: referred to I told you about my cat. Did you
- 11:22Speaker 6: ask to see this photo of the cat ross?
- 11:24Speaker 7: I did not.
- 11:25Speaker 6: Oh, it's even worse. He was proactive about it.
- 11:29Speaker 7: Oh, proactive about sharing how his cat now sleeps on
- 11:33Speaker 7: his chest.
- 11:33Speaker 6: Well, that's what people do when they fall in love with.
- 11:36Speaker 7: So, yeah, he's part of the cat What is the
- 11:41Speaker 7: see look at the photo, you guys, if you're on YouTube,
- 11:44Speaker 7: Jim Colbert. Oh, that's a new one. That's not the
- 11:46Speaker 7: one you showed me last year.
- 11:47Speaker 5: Ye, she came to sleep on my chest again last night.
- 11:50Speaker 5: Why'd you say it like that?
- 11:52Speaker 7: Because he's in love?
- 11:53Speaker 6: What happened?
- 11:54Speaker 5: No, No, it's too late, dude, that's too late.
- 12:00Speaker 6: But you can't.
- 12:02Speaker 7: He's part of the cat distribution system.
- 12:04Speaker 6: It's too late. What's wrong. He's a face scar away
- 12:07Speaker 6: from doctor evil Man. You can't. We can't support this.
- 12:11Speaker 4: Oh my god, she's so awesome. She is so awesome.
- 12:15Speaker 4: She comes to me now like a puppy. I can
- 12:17Speaker 4: see because her name is her name is titty cat.
- 12:20Speaker 4: All right, But we call it a short version of that.
- 12:23Speaker 4: But I'm not going to say that on the air
- 12:24Speaker 4: because Jack will get super pissed off, and he should, because.
- 12:26Speaker 5: You can't even though in the concept of a pet
- 12:30Speaker 5: a pet name, it is those letters, and I can go,
- 12:33Speaker 5: I can't say, you know that name?
- 12:35Speaker 4: Then come here and I'll tap it and she'll just
- 12:36Speaker 4: walk right over to me. She is amazing. It's a
- 12:39Speaker 4: This has been a game changer. Ross, It's been a
- 12:42Speaker 4: game changer. And I'm getting my eyebrows done next week too.

- 15:07Speaker 5: I'm Jim. There's dead Jack and Ross as well.
- 15:11Speaker 6: It's true.
- 15:11Speaker 4: It's funny that she mentioned that whole thing, because one
- 15:14Speaker 4: of the things I had as to talk about today
- 15:17Speaker 4: a little bit was what do you think what do
- 15:19Speaker 4: you think people assume about you that is not true?
- 15:22Speaker 5: What do you think the number one thing that people
- 15:24Speaker 5: assume about you that isn't true? Ross that I don't
- 15:27Speaker 5: care that that oh this is just effortless or like
- 15:32Speaker 5: he's not focused or he's not paying attention, like you're
- 15:36Speaker 5: not a serious person. Yeah that Yeah, they don't take
- 15:38Speaker 5: you seriously.
- 15:39Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 15:39Speaker 5: And I've definitely been rubbed the wrong way from that
- 15:43Speaker 5: and had to clarify like, no, I'm here, I'm trying.
- 15:46Speaker 5: This is what it looks like. It's just my hair.
- 15:49Speaker 5: What do you think the what do you think the
- 15:50Speaker 5: number one thing that people assume about you that is incorrect.
- 15:55Speaker 5: You are, though, Jack, You're you couldn't even say it. Jesus,
- 15:59Speaker 5: what I What are you doing to us, buddy? I mean,
- 16:01Speaker 5: everybody knows, but it's like it's not It's not like
- 16:03Speaker 5: we met right before the show.
- 16:04Speaker 6: Dude.
- 16:06Speaker 4: It's not like he walked up as a new employee,
- 16:08Speaker 4: like we just drafted you and this is your first
- 16:10Speaker 4: day in the locker room.
- 16:11Speaker 6: Dude, we've met, He goes, I'm cheap. I don't know.
- 16:19Speaker 5: I think I'm pretty much spot on. Yeah, you think
- 16:21Speaker 5: you're spout on. Maybe that's the problem.
- 16:23Speaker 6: That might be. Apparently it is. But I mean I'll
- 16:27Speaker 6: jump in. I've I've said to see you look at that.
- 16:31Speaker 5: Tear me down. Go ahead, Ross, tear him down. I'm
- 16:34Speaker 5: down for it. I'm here for it. Well, guess what
- 16:36Speaker 5: Jack plot twist. It's a compliment I have found. I
- 16:39Speaker 5: think Jack is painfully funny and and a lot of
- 16:42Speaker 5: times it's more of an audience thing than a Jack thing.
- 16:45Speaker 5: I think a lot of things that he says, it's
- 16:48Speaker 5: like you need a black belt in communication to fully
- 16:51Speaker 5: understand it. But once you do, it's hilarious. So you
- 16:53Speaker 5: don't you think so you think the general public doesn't
- 16:55Speaker 5: think Jack is funny. I don't think one of the.
- 16:57Speaker 6: Thing, thank you, thank you.
- 17:00Speaker 5: I think one of the first things that one of
- 17:04Speaker 5: the first things that people think of when it comes
- 17:06Speaker 5: to Jack, Yeah, would not be like funny. I would
- 17:09Speaker 5: think it would be like twelve on the list.
- 17:11Speaker 6: What do you think it is?
- 17:11Speaker 5: What do you think the number one thing that people
- 17:14Speaker 5: assume about you that isn't true that I never want
- 17:16Speaker 5: to leave my house?
- 17:19Speaker 4: Did you hear the conversation we just had with Jack? Again,
- 17:23Speaker 4: we've met, so we understand.
- 17:26Speaker 5: Hey, I left the house twice this weekend. You're bragging
- 17:30Speaker 5: about that, supporting our argument. Do you think that's really
- 17:35Speaker 5: it that? What do you think it is?
- 17:37Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 17:40Speaker 6: You don't think you don't know?
- 17:41Speaker 5: Well, I will let me photosynthesize that plan. Do you
- 17:44Speaker 5: think that that assessment of you is wrong? No, okay,
- 17:50Speaker 5: I was trying to give her a door. Let's be
- 17:52Speaker 5: the lying thing.
- 17:53Speaker 7: Then, you know I wanted to support Jack in his choice.
- 17:59Speaker 5: I thought exactly, I'll say, I'll say, when I am
- 18:03Speaker 5: the problem with this, I think people think maybe you're
- 18:05Speaker 5: a little more docile than you actually are. Oh yeah,
- 18:09Speaker 5: when I think when people meet you and you're so
- 18:12Speaker 5: because you're so unbelievably polite, and you're so kind and
- 18:16Speaker 5: so nice, and you have such a great inviting smile
- 18:19Speaker 5: and you're such a great conversationalist that people do not
- 18:22Speaker 5: know that other side of you, and they assume that
- 18:24Speaker 5: you are maybe a little harmless.
- 18:25Speaker 6: And I know, for a yeah, if you're a nice day,
- 18:31Speaker 6: if it's a nice day, you're like, oh hot, damn dude,
- 18:33Speaker 6: this is what is making happy. Yeah.
- 18:37Speaker 5: Then those other days when it's raining bourbon, you know,
- 18:43Speaker 5: when you gotta be very careful. You can't wake up
- 18:46Speaker 5: mad Daddy. On those days, I think it's mad Daddy
- 18:49Speaker 5: comes on swinging and he is in that tank top
- 18:52Speaker 5: you don't want to see him in.
- 18:53Speaker 6: If you fail me, I would think that your biggest
- 18:55Speaker 6: misconception is just like anger. Get asked if I'm okay constantly?
- 19:01Speaker 4: Are you okay? Because everything fine? You have no idea?
- 19:04Speaker 4: Just sitting there drinking a beer, you cold, Jim, You
- 19:06Speaker 4: look mad. I'm like, I'm not mad. I'm mad that
- 19:09Speaker 4: you keep asking me if I'm mad, But outside of that,
- 19:11Speaker 4: I'm really comfortable and I'm really happy. I just don't
- 19:15Speaker 4: like to sometimes do the thing I just like to chill.
- 19:19Speaker 4: I don't like to show joy.
- 19:20Speaker 5: Yeah, So like if we were to if we were
- 19:22Speaker 5: to pull the audio of the last forty seconds of
- 19:25Speaker 5: the Jim Colbert Show, I think you would understand why
- 19:27Speaker 5: people are confused. I'm not mad, well, I think honestly,
- 19:32Speaker 5: I have resting a whole face. I think when you
- 19:34Speaker 5: see me as a person, you parallel with me, me
- 19:38Speaker 5: with other people that look like me, and you automatically think, oh,
- 19:41Speaker 5: mad biker or you know, construction guy that made the
- 19:45Speaker 5: wrong financial decision.
- 19:46Speaker 7: I was going to say, ha, president, but any one
- 19:49Speaker 7: of those will work.
- 19:51Speaker 4: And I think people get sideways sideline with I'm polite
- 19:55Speaker 4: because I grew up in a very southern household. So
- 19:58Speaker 4: I'm a yes, ma'am, no man, yes, you know, please,
- 20:00Speaker 4: thank you kind of person, and people don't doesn't even
- 20:03Speaker 4: react to that so much. It's gonna while, but yeah, yeah,
- 20:06Speaker 4: I don't think I'm polite.
- 20:07Speaker 5: Yeah, because when you say like yes sir, it doesn't
- 20:09Speaker 5: just come off like I'm being respectful. It's also comes
- 20:13Speaker 5: off like condescending. No, not because that's mean, but you
- 20:17Speaker 5: say yes sir, no man, and it comes off like, well,
- 20:19Speaker 5: this is how it should be.
- 20:21Speaker 6: You rushing to me.
- 20:22Speaker 5: Yeah, I tell you how to be polite. I'll set
- 20:24Speaker 5: the standard. The other thing is before we go to
- 20:26Speaker 5: break real quick. Jack, you'd mentioned this last week. We
- 20:28Speaker 5: talked about it a little bit. I don't know if
- 20:30Speaker 5: you were here that day. Name the band that covers
- 20:33Speaker 5: up for the terrible lead singer of the most oh
- 20:36Speaker 5: Man lead singer, right, lead singer, Yeah, vocalist, whatever you
- 20:40Speaker 5: want to say it, but the vocalist because he's stupid talented.
- 20:43Speaker 5: But the first band that jumped up in my brain
- 20:46Speaker 5: and it's one of my favorite bands of all time,
- 20:48Speaker 5: that's Primus.
- 20:49Speaker 4: Oh yeah, that's interesting. So that did pop up when
- 20:51Speaker 4: we tell you about it. But the number one answer
- 20:53Speaker 4: was read hot Chili Peppers. Yeah yeah right. So most successful,
- 20:57Speaker 4: biggest band with the singer that really has the least
- 20:59Speaker 4: amount of time. The band really kind of carried the
- 21:01Speaker 4: singer through their careers. I saw that documentary this weekend
- 21:05Speaker 4: because Jack and I talked about it. And did you
- 21:06Speaker 4: start it, Jack and then stop it or did you
- 21:08Speaker 4: just see it?
- 21:09Speaker 6: I didn't start. I like hovered on it. Yeah, And
- 21:11Speaker 6: I was trying to do I want to spend the
- 21:13Speaker 6: next hour and a half watching this and I opted
- 21:16Speaker 6: for APEX with Charlie.
- 21:18Speaker 5: I saw that, but I didn't I didn't get in
- 21:20Speaker 5: there yet, but I watched it this wee you watched it.
- 21:22Speaker 6: I have seen it.
- 21:23Speaker 5: Yeah, I had no idea about the stories, the band's origin,
- 21:27Speaker 5: any of it.
- 21:28Speaker 6: Fascinating, Like these.
- 21:29Speaker 4: Guys should be dead four times each, Yeah, like I
- 21:32Speaker 4: mean it is. Look, you don't know anything about this band,
- 21:37Speaker 4: Like if you're not a fan, and you just like, oh,
- 21:38Speaker 4: give it away, give it away.
- 21:39Speaker 5: Now, that's awesome. You know, you're swinging your T shirt
- 21:41Speaker 5: knowing the thing when you when you when you hear,
- 21:44Speaker 5: when you hear the how many times this band broke
- 21:47Speaker 5: up and how many how many times the members left
- 21:49Speaker 5: and came back and the one guy did this, and
- 21:51Speaker 5: how they had no families and the guitar players parents
- 21:54Speaker 5: really kind of a it's crazy.
- 21:57Speaker 4: It actually was very entertaining when it was all done.
- 21:59Speaker 4: My wife is a giant Chili Peppers fans because when
- 22:02Speaker 4: she was in high school, dude just to tell her
- 22:04Speaker 4: you look like the girl in the cover of the
- 22:06Speaker 4: Mother's Milk album. So she automatically just started listening to
- 22:09Speaker 4: him and became a giant Chili Peppers fan. Actually, my
- 22:12Speaker 4: fandom came from her fandom. I was a glancing fan
- 22:16Speaker 4: of the Chili Peppers, and then we started listening to
- 22:18Speaker 4: a lot of it when we got married and started
- 22:20Speaker 4: dating and stuff, which I absolutely loved, and learning about
- 22:22Speaker 4: the band was like, really kind of amazing.
- 22:24Speaker 6: I thought, I knew man, I knew nothing about these guys.
- 22:27Speaker 5: And I know his voice on paper is bad, but
- 22:30Speaker 5: that's honestly why it's so good.
- 22:33Speaker 6: Dude. It's got the bumps to scratches. It's not perfect.
- 22:36Speaker 5: It's not your stereotypical good voice, and it was different
- 22:40Speaker 5: and it jumped out and we're late and did you
- 22:43Speaker 5: find it amazing?
- 22:44Speaker 6: As well?
- 22:44Speaker 4: They had a recording of the first time that Kate
- 22:46Speaker 4: has sang with them. Yeah, And I looked at my
- 22:48Speaker 4: wife and said, could you imagine being in that club
- 22:51Speaker 4: when that band basically came to life? Because when you
- 22:54Speaker 4: hear a recording of it, you're like, yeah, that's the
- 22:55Speaker 4: Chili Peppers, Like that could have been on a Chili
- 22:57Speaker 4: Peppers album. And that was just the first time they ever. Okay,
- 23:00Speaker 4: they just accidentally invited him to come sing with a
- 23:02Speaker 4: band that night because he had supported him the entire
- 23:04Speaker 4: time and changed the entire focus of everything in that
- 23:08Speaker 4: one minute one song. All right four our seven nine
- 23:11Speaker 4: one six one four one new keyword.
- 23:13Speaker 6: Now.

- 24:22Speaker 14: like left me speak to us. Uh yeah, I'm so
- 24:25Speaker 14: glad you guys watch it in that movie Apex. You
- 24:28Speaker 14: know what's scary about that? I told my mom, I'm like,
- 24:30Speaker 14: that dude's probably one of my people because I'm a scorpio.
- 24:32Speaker 14: I looked it up. He was literally born three days
- 24:35Speaker 14: before me.
- 24:36Speaker 6: Horrifying.
- 24:38Speaker 4: You have to tell me about Apex Jack. I mean,
- 24:40Speaker 4: I've seen it because anytime you see Charlie, Charlie's thearon
- 24:43Speaker 4: on screen, you gotta pay attention.
- 24:44Speaker 5: And she's stunning. That's how they got me. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 24:48Speaker 4: And her childhood life is I mean one of the
- 24:51Speaker 4: craziest stories.
- 24:52Speaker 5: You guys know about that. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 24:54Speaker 4: She watched her mom shooting and kill her father because
- 24:58Speaker 4: he was an abusive prick. You literally beat him up
- 25:00Speaker 4: like every other day, and she finally got tired of
- 25:02Speaker 4: it and she said, if you come at me one
- 25:04Speaker 4: more time, I'm gonna shoot you. And he did and
- 25:06Speaker 4: she did, and then she goes on to play one
- 25:10Speaker 4: of the most rifamous serial killers man eaters ever in
- 25:15Speaker 4: the movie monster. All right four o seven nine one
- 25:17Speaker 4: six four one text seven seven zero three one.
- 25:20Speaker 15: Rich.
- 25:20Speaker 4: By the way, that is your four o'clock keyword r
- 25:22Speaker 4: c H. Go to real radio, dout of him and
- 25:25Speaker 4: send that away for your chance at one thousand bucks.
- 25:26Speaker 5: Rich. Guys, that is your four o'clock keyword good luck.
- 25:29Speaker 7: Yes, And apparently the serial killing theme continues, because Apex
- 25:34Speaker 7: is about a grieving woman seeking solace in the wilderness,
- 25:37Speaker 7: only to become ensnared in a deadly game of cat
- 25:40Speaker 7: and mouse with a serial killer.
- 25:41Speaker 12: Wow.
- 25:41Speaker 6: Really, I'm down. I love that. Yeah.
- 25:43Speaker 4: Same here all right, welcome back. I'm Jim deb Jack
- 25:46Speaker 4: Anne Rosser here as well. I just met Emily the
- 25:48Speaker 4: movie Girl. She'll be joining us here in a few
- 25:50Speaker 4: minutes for our first movie review with her. And she's awesome.
- 25:52Speaker 6: By the way.
- 25:53Speaker 5: She is one of the biggest impacts and influences on
- 25:56Speaker 5: the movies that I watched, and I figured, why not
- 25:58Speaker 5: skip the middleman?
- 26:00Speaker 6: Yeah, introduce you, guys.
- 26:01Speaker 5: To I'm loving it.
- 26:02Speaker 4: She's gonna give us a movie, a bad movie, a
- 26:04Speaker 4: good movie, and then a streaming recommendation, which is awesome
- 26:07Speaker 4: because man, I don't know about you, guys. I spend
- 26:10Speaker 4: like this is. I don't know how this this is
- 26:12Speaker 4: exactly how it is for me and the fan, right
- 26:14Speaker 4: for me and my wife. Get done with dinner, clean up,
- 26:17Speaker 4: sit down, do the normal thing, pile up, get your blanket,
- 26:21Speaker 4: get your pillow right, dog in the right position, cat
- 26:23Speaker 4: on the chest of course, what stop real and and we're.
- 26:27Speaker 5: Like, okay, what do you want to watch? I'm like,
- 26:28Speaker 5: oh no, let's check it out real quick.
- 26:30Speaker 4: And man, it's not like the old days when you
- 26:32Speaker 4: went to Spectrum and just kind of rolled.
- 26:33Speaker 5: Through all the channels and go, well, I guess we'll
- 26:35Speaker 5: rent something.
- 26:36Speaker 6: You know.
- 26:36Speaker 4: It's like you got to go to every streaming app
- 26:39Speaker 4: right and look through their movie database and try to
- 26:41Speaker 4: remember from database to databay base what they have. And
- 26:45Speaker 4: it's a forty minute it's a forty minute thing to
- 26:48Speaker 4: try to find anything to watch.
- 26:50Speaker 5: Always blown away by your wife's superpower of going that
- 26:53Speaker 5: one that no, not even of that one, dude, just
- 26:55Speaker 5: whatever pops up when she opens Netflix, she just pushes play.
- 26:59Speaker 5: I do not have that. That is superpower, dude. I'm
- 27:03Speaker 5: breaking out in hives just thinking about it. I'm serious. Yeah,
- 27:07Speaker 5: So we'll talk to Emily here in just a few minutes.
- 27:09Speaker 5: I did want to kind of continue on with the
- 27:10Speaker 5: Spirit Airlines thing, and here's why, because there's a part
- 27:13Speaker 5: of that story that Ded pinched for us, so we
- 27:15Speaker 5: could talk about it a little bit more at link.
- 27:16Speaker 5: But have you guys heard about this TikTok campaign?
- 27:19Speaker 9: I pinched?
- 27:20Speaker 7: I didn't take it.
- 27:21Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 27:21Speaker 4: No, That's what I'm saying, is you you let me
- 27:23Speaker 4: do it here? Yeah, so the TikTok campaign is have
- 27:27Speaker 4: you heard about it?
- 27:27Speaker 3: Jack?
- 27:27Speaker 9: Nope?
- 27:28Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 27:28Speaker 4: So there's this guy who is I guess a voice
- 27:30Speaker 4: actor named Hunter Peterson. He's also a content creator and
- 27:34Speaker 4: he posted on TikTok and video he says that has
- 27:36Speaker 4: more more than four point six million views, and he goes,
- 27:39Speaker 4: let's just buy Spirit Airlines. Let's buy it because they
- 27:42Speaker 4: heard the government offer like five hundred million dollars or
- 27:45Speaker 4: that's what they wanted, five hundred million bucks to save it.
- 27:47Speaker 4: And he's like, well, five hundred million isn't that much.
- 27:49Speaker 4: Let's go get it.
- 27:50Speaker 6: And how did you guys see how much money he's
- 27:52Speaker 6: already has pledge for this?
- 27:54Speaker 3: No?
- 27:54Speaker 7: I saw it on Instagram, right, yeah?
- 27:56Speaker 5: Okay, Well, I mean it would have made the it
- 27:58Speaker 5: would have definitely made the trips over on to other
- 28:00Speaker 5: platforms for sure. I don't know how much money he's raised,
- 28:03Speaker 5: but I do know that he's been like adamant and
- 28:06Speaker 5: been a very vocal fan of Spirit. He has one
- 28:08Speaker 5: of the YouTube videos that he spent twenty four hours
- 28:11Speaker 5: on Spirit airlines.
- 28:12Speaker 6: Oh My and the fun.
- 28:13Speaker 4: And that's what I said earlier when Debb brought this
- 28:15Speaker 4: up in news, I was like, Man, have you guys,
- 28:17Speaker 4: do you guys remember hearing a brand like it? Just
- 28:20Speaker 4: and just kind of clarify this for people who like
- 28:22Speaker 4: aren't our age, Like, if you're in your fifties and.
- 28:25Speaker 5: You're listening to the show, do you remember when Sears
- 28:27Speaker 5: shut down?
- 28:28Speaker 6: Yes?
- 28:28Speaker 4: Do you remember how you felt when Sears shut down?
- 28:31Speaker 4: You guys, remember how you felt when Montgomery Ward shut down?
- 28:33Speaker 4: And for people who are a little bit younger and
- 28:35Speaker 4: you don't realize those brands or maybe they're they're dying
- 28:38Speaker 4: old brands to you. To us, that was part of
- 28:42Speaker 4: our childhood, Like watching the movie Struggle is a weird
- 28:45Speaker 4: thing for us because that was our form of entertainment.
- 28:49Speaker 5: It was that bowling. I mean, that's what we had
- 28:51Speaker 5: to do. So it was just in it.
- 28:54Speaker 4: Just the thought of that ever ending was just so
- 28:57Speaker 4: far out of possible for us as you think about
- 29:00Speaker 4: things like that. Man, I think this Spirit brand has
- 29:03Speaker 4: kind of tackled a weird vibe with America. I'm telling you,
- 29:06Speaker 4: as much as I read around, I've not heard people
- 29:10Speaker 4: more upset about a brand closing than the Spirit Airline brand.
- 29:14Speaker 4: And I wonder why. I wonder how they tapped into
- 29:16Speaker 4: the psyche of America like they have. I think there's
- 29:21Speaker 4: for some people, like the frugal flyer will call them
- 29:25Speaker 4: when you are looking for the lowest cost possible. Many
- 29:30Speaker 4: times for you that was Spirit, it might be Frontier
- 29:34Speaker 4: Agent Spirit. Those are the those ultra low cost airlines.
- 29:39Speaker 4: So there's may be more familiarity with some flyers, you know,
- 29:44Speaker 4: which would kind of explain that feeling. But also, as
- 29:48Speaker 4: I you know, mentioned in the last segment, is they
- 29:51Speaker 4: also helped keep prices down for the major airlines because
- 29:56Speaker 4: they had to remain competitive. Yes, you know, so they
- 30:00Speaker 4: that's why. And it's funny because Spirit had the knock
- 30:03Speaker 4: of being bare bones. You had to pay for everything,
- 30:05Speaker 4: and yes that was by design. They they took out
- 30:09Speaker 4: all the expenses to give you the lowest possible fare
- 30:13Speaker 4: razor thin margins on profit and therefore when the fuel
- 30:19Speaker 4: costs rise, it's eats.
- 30:21Speaker 6: Into that profit margin and just puts them in greater debt.
- 30:24Speaker 5: Yeah, they had already had some other issues before though, right,
- 30:26Speaker 5: I thought they had already tried. There's a possibility they
- 30:28Speaker 5: were going to go bankrupt two other times.
- 30:29Speaker 6: Yeah, they they were filed twice that I think twice
- 30:32Speaker 6: this year. But in the in the past, when they
- 30:36Speaker 6: own their planes, then they could you know, use those
- 30:39Speaker 6: for collateral, but they can't do that because they lease.
- 30:42Speaker 4: They were lease right, Yeah, yeah, yeah, but there is
- 30:44Speaker 4: a weird thing though, dude, I'm telling you it could
- 30:47Speaker 4: be the discount aspect of it, but I think it's
- 30:49Speaker 4: also maybe the cost And like that lady said earlier
- 30:52Speaker 4: who let the talk back, like, no, no crashes, no
- 30:54Speaker 4: big incidences. I mean, you'll have some behavior issues. That's
- 30:57Speaker 4: not a spirit thing. You know, there's not just people
- 30:59Speaker 4: doing stupid stuff on airplanes. But but you know, as
- 31:02Speaker 4: far as it being a legit carrier that's on time
- 31:04Speaker 4: a lot, does a good job. I mean, it's like
- 31:06Speaker 4: almost one of those things where you're sad to see
- 31:08Speaker 4: it go because it was.
- 31:09Speaker 5: It was so efficient. It really delivered what you needed
- 31:12Speaker 5: on a you know, on a daily business or trip basis.
- 31:14Speaker 6: And also there's no denying when I think the stats
- 31:18Speaker 6: will bear this out. If you have a lower if
- 31:23Speaker 6: your clientele is more economically lower based, right, you have
- 31:28Speaker 6: poorer people flying your airline, chances of acting out is
- 31:32Speaker 6: going to be more with them than it is people
- 31:35Speaker 6: spending two to three times this month from the same shit. Yeah,
- 31:38Speaker 6: in a different airline. Yeah, maybe.
- 31:39Speaker 5: So.
- 31:39Speaker 4: Somebody just text in that when Toys r Us closed down,
- 31:42Speaker 4: people are like, you know that that was a big
- 31:43Speaker 4: thing of their childhood. They remember going there for Christmas
- 31:46Speaker 4: and stuff like that.
- 31:47Speaker 6: It's a nostalgia fact. Yeah it is. You would have
- 31:49Speaker 6: never walked into another Seers again in your life, but
- 31:52Speaker 6: still this knowing that it's not there and you're one
- 31:56Speaker 6: hundred percent right, I hadn't mid one in years. It
- 31:58Speaker 6: just meant there's a part of your childhood that is
- 32:00Speaker 6: now sealed off forever and didn't never did you?
- 32:03Speaker 16: Guy?
- 32:04Speaker 6: Was Sears new for you? Guys?
- 32:06Speaker 5: Like did it drop? Was its first year? No, no
- 32:10Speaker 5: bus first seventy years when we were Yeah, it was
- 32:12Speaker 5: when we were born. I mean when we were kids
- 32:14Speaker 5: had already been in it was already an iconic brand.
- 32:17Speaker 5: I think literally right up there with like Ford and
- 32:19Speaker 5: Chevy Dude. Sears was as Americana as you can imagine
- 32:22Speaker 5: any brand being. They were around in the early nineteen
- 32:25Speaker 5: hundreds with their catalog. You buy a house from them,
- 32:28Speaker 5: I know they would ship it to you on a
- 32:30Speaker 5: shipping team.
- 32:31Speaker 7: In fact, I want to say one of the businesses
- 32:32Speaker 7: in downtown Mount Dora, maybe Mo's Mountain Moonshine was one
- 32:36Speaker 7: of those Seers catalog homes that came in a kit
- 32:39Speaker 7: on a train.
- 32:39Speaker 4: One of my old rentals was yeah, yeah, yeah, because
- 32:42Speaker 4: we found out of the way the drywall was put
- 32:43Speaker 4: onto the studs were like, this is a Sears.
- 32:45Speaker 5: Home text to point out Blockbuster video. That's all.
- 32:49Speaker 7: A big one.
- 32:50Speaker 6: It's your connection with what that meant, what that represent
- 32:53Speaker 6: to Like a Friday or Saturday night, you're picking out
- 32:56Speaker 6: your movies, you're watching the movies. It was that feeling
- 32:59Speaker 6: you associated with it. When it closes down, it was
- 33:01Speaker 6: a cultural thing for Americans. I mean, the thing is
- 33:04Speaker 6: is it didn't matter what your family made, whether your
- 33:07Speaker 6: family had no money or all the money. The Blockbuster
- 33:10Speaker 6: experience was the same for everybody. Maybe you didn't get
- 33:12Speaker 6: as much candy as the other guys, but I mean
- 33:14Speaker 6: going in there picking out a movie was just the
- 33:16Speaker 6: same for everybody.
- 33:17Speaker 7: And what's amazing is that that forty minutes it takes
- 33:19Speaker 7: you get to go through all of the streaming apps
- 33:21Speaker 7: to figure out what they had. Whoa forty minutes a blockbuster?
- 33:25Speaker 6: Say it seventy.
- 33:26Speaker 7: Minutes a blockbuster. You could walk through the aisles of
- 33:29Speaker 7: international movies, foreign movies, comedists get the candy stand in
- 33:33Speaker 7: line in your area.
- 33:40Speaker 5: You know, I I remember how much Crow with a
- 33:43Speaker 5: Fork and a Knife I ate. I believe it was
- 33:46Speaker 5: deep fried. Quite a guy's care sears I didn't understand.
- 33:50Speaker 5: And uh it man more smoking cut evidence of how
- 33:53Speaker 5: much I've grown up in front of his microphone. Seriously,
- 33:56Speaker 5: once I saw movies, Yeah, all of a sudden not
- 33:59Speaker 5: have the grit culturally that they've had my entire life.
- 34:02Speaker 7: And you've always like in my life, you are the
- 34:04Speaker 7: biggest movie fan I'd ever met someone who loved that
- 34:08Speaker 7: collective theater experience.
- 34:09Speaker 5: The collective theater experience, I think it's so much better
- 34:12Speaker 5: for our species for long form storytelling. So a story
- 34:16Speaker 5: can get its roots into your soul and then maybe
- 34:19Speaker 5: have you think about something differently to see the status
- 34:22Speaker 5: and the state of movies. I keep going back to
- 34:25Speaker 5: that day when I made for you know this, it's
- 34:27Speaker 5: called let's Buyspiritair dot com.
- 34:30Speaker 4: Let's buy spirit Air dot com. It's an actual website
- 34:33Speaker 4: and you can go. This guy set this up as
- 34:35Speaker 4: a joke to start with, but he's gotten so much
- 34:37Speaker 4: money pledge for this that now they're like kind of going, hey, man, like,
- 34:41Speaker 4: I mean, I don't know, could we nationalize Spirit Air?
- 34:45Speaker 4: Could it be like the packers and be like owned
- 34:47Speaker 4: by the people? Could that happen to an airline thirty
- 34:49Speaker 4: five million, seventy million, fifty five eighty eight million dollars wow,
- 34:55Speaker 4: with the average pledge coming in at six hundred and
- 34:58Speaker 4: sixty seven dollars per person, and over one hundred and
- 35:01Speaker 4: twenty four thousand, seven hundred people as of the writing
- 35:04Speaker 4: of this story, which is I think twelve hours old,
- 35:06Speaker 4: have already made that pledge. So theoretically, you think, could
- 35:10Speaker 4: you CrowdSurf and and save a company like that and
- 35:14Speaker 4: make like the people of like an app the owner
- 35:17Speaker 4: of a major company it's so crazy you think about that.
- 35:21Speaker 5: I I'm rooting for it because this is when the
- 35:24Speaker 5: masses kind of become asses. Is when you expect millions
- 35:28Speaker 5: and millions of people to communicate and get on board
- 35:31Speaker 5: with one initiative, it usually falls apart.
- 35:34Speaker 6: So I'm rooting for improvement of our humanity. Wrong.
- 35:37Speaker 5: And by the way, he's contacted. No media outlets know nothing.
- 35:40Speaker 4: This is purely organic, starting on TikTok and then spreading
- 35:44Speaker 4: naturally through the sharing of this video and this message.
- 35:47Speaker 4: He hasn't done an interview, no TV time, no nothing,
- 35:51Speaker 4: just that video, just TikTok coming through and sharing it
- 35:55Speaker 4: over and over. Pretty interesting stuff, all right. Four oh

- 37:22Speaker 6: Good luck.
- 37:22Speaker 5: I'm Jim there's deb Hello Jack and Ross. It's all true.
- 37:26Speaker 4: You know, we've toyed with this idea for many, many years.
- 37:29Speaker 4: And Ross brought this young lady's name up a long
- 37:31Speaker 4: time ago, and of course, like I do, every single time,
- 37:34Speaker 4: I dropped it, forgot about it, and then never mentioned
- 37:36Speaker 4: it again. Then he hit me again, did the same
- 37:38Speaker 4: exact thing. Finally, somebody over there took the initiative, just
- 37:42Speaker 4: bookers and just shove it down my throat.
- 37:44Speaker 6: You guys, give it up. Good laugh for Emily the
- 37:46Speaker 6: movie girl. Thank you Emily. He was accurate. Every man
- 37:57Speaker 6: forget about it?
- 37:58Speaker 5: Yeah, every still that is true. So how are you?
- 38:01Speaker 6: By the way, I'm so good.
- 38:02Speaker 18: Thanks for having me.
- 38:03Speaker 4: Well, thanks for joining us. Appreciate it so much. By
- 38:05Speaker 4: the way, you can check out Emily on our fee
- 38:07Speaker 4: Jim Colbert live dot com. You can see her and
- 38:09Speaker 4: all her glory and here doing this for us. Now,
- 38:11Speaker 4: before we get into the reviews and stuff, give us
- 38:14Speaker 4: a little background to yourself. How you became so addicted
- 38:16Speaker 4: to movies? Ross said that, a you have a goal
- 38:19Speaker 4: of watching so many. What happened? What triggered this real?
- 38:23Speaker 6: Yes?
- 38:23Speaker 18: Well, you know, I mean, I think growing up it
- 38:25Speaker 18: was always such an event to go to the movies, right.
- 38:28Speaker 18: We would only go once or twice a year, so
- 38:30Speaker 18: it was such a big deal to be able to go.
- 38:32Speaker 18: And truly, movies shaped who I am, and it's the
- 38:36Speaker 18: reason I became a performer. I'm in the profession I'm
- 38:38Speaker 18: in now. And then right before COVID happened, I got
- 38:42Speaker 18: AMC A List and that I think has spiraled since
- 38:45Speaker 18: then because you can go see basically as many movies
- 38:48Speaker 18: as you want.
- 38:49Speaker 5: What is the AMC A list Is that it's their club, right, Yeah,
- 38:53Speaker 5: you pay a monthly fee, then you just can see
- 38:54Speaker 5: as many movies all right.
- 38:56Speaker 18: Yeah, it's up to four movies a week in any
- 38:59Speaker 18: format so wow. Yeah, and most people don't watch that many,
- 39:04Speaker 18: but I watch at least one a week early. Yeah,
- 39:06Speaker 18: I don't love it.
- 39:07Speaker 6: What was the goal?
- 39:08Speaker 5: I remember this always blew my mind, was thinking that
- 39:12Speaker 5: no one goes into January first with like a movie goal.
- 39:15Speaker 5: But I remember you in December telling me that my
- 39:17Speaker 5: goal for twenty twenty six was how many movies? Seventy
- 39:20Speaker 5: five seventy five and these are all new movies.
- 39:24Speaker 18: Yeah. My rule is that it either has to be
- 39:27Speaker 18: a new release or new to me.
- 39:29Speaker 5: Or new to you, okay, m yeah, and that includes
- 39:31Speaker 5: classic movies that you just haven't seen yet.
- 39:33Speaker 6: Do you take suggestions from people around?
- 39:35Speaker 3: And?
- 39:35Speaker 5: Absolutely?
- 39:36Speaker 6: Literally?
- 39:37Speaker 18: This last month I watched two movies that I would
- 39:39Speaker 18: not have watched otherwise.
- 39:40Speaker 6: And what were they?
- 39:41Speaker 18: Do you remember a Rental Family? And Perfect Days.
- 39:44Speaker 7: Was Rental Family because Brendan Fraser was Oscar talk for
- 39:48Speaker 7: that performance.
- 39:48Speaker 18: It was so good. He honestly made that film. I
- 39:51Speaker 18: don't think the movie would have worked without him.
- 39:53Speaker 5: Really.
- 39:53Speaker 7: Yeah, I wirst to see it just because of all
- 39:56Speaker 7: the buzz around it.
- 39:56Speaker 18: It's good you can stream it.
- 39:57Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 39:58Speaker 16: Cool.
- 39:58Speaker 5: Do you have a favorite genre?
- 40:00Speaker 18: Oh, gosh, probably mom comms, really know, if I had
- 40:04Speaker 18: like if I had to, yeah, or romance drama.
- 40:08Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 40:08Speaker 4: I like mystery thrillers a lot. I find myself, like,
- 40:11Speaker 4: I find myself gravitating toward that. Uh, the Jason Bourne
- 40:15Speaker 4: kind of mystery, CIA espionage kind of thriller thing.
- 40:19Speaker 6: I love those.
- 40:20Speaker 18: Do you have a favorite movie?
- 40:21Speaker 5: No Country for Old Men is and uh and then
- 40:24Speaker 5: Silence of the Lambs because.
- 40:25Speaker 18: It's perfect deleted scenes, but yeah, they just think it
- 40:28Speaker 18: was week before last. Yeah you missed it?
- 40:30Speaker 5: How about yours, I'll find it's.
- 40:35Speaker 6: The night vision part at the end.
- 40:37Speaker 5: It's now an Instagram filter instead of night visions, so
- 40:39Speaker 5: everyone has dog gear.
- 40:40Speaker 4: I still think I still think some of the transitions
- 40:43Speaker 4: that they did the movie toward the end of that movie,
- 40:45Speaker 4: when they were starting going to figure everything out, were
- 40:47Speaker 4: some of the best in movie history. I mean, it
- 40:49Speaker 4: proves because it's one of what five or six films
- 40:51Speaker 4: to win all of the big awards at the Oscars.
- 40:53Speaker 5: I mean it is right up there. Yeah one, well,
- 40:55Speaker 5: it's right up there.
- 40:56Speaker 4: Would and flew over the Cuckoo's Nest, African Queen, movies
- 40:58Speaker 4: of that nature.
- 40:59Speaker 6: Emily, some time I have a hard time, like I've
- 41:01Speaker 6: seen a movie and then they'll reference it. I'm like,
- 41:03Speaker 6: I don't even remember half of this stuff. How do
- 41:06Speaker 6: you prevent that from happening? Like do you document? Like
- 41:10Speaker 6: will you write down a review or do you just
- 41:12Speaker 6: do you record videos? Or is it social? How do
- 41:15Speaker 6: you kind of record what your reviews are for the
- 41:18Speaker 6: films you see or do you record it?
- 41:20Speaker 18: So what I've been doing in order to log is
- 41:23Speaker 18: I have a letter box. It's m retro reels and
- 41:25Speaker 18: so as soon as the movie's over, I will immediately
- 41:28Speaker 18: put in my review and then I'll log it just
- 41:32Speaker 18: so I have something to show. Otherwise I would probably
- 41:35Speaker 18: forget and then at the end of every month, like
- 41:37Speaker 18: I just posted to my own like personal Instagram what
- 41:41Speaker 18: my recap is. And usually it's no more than maybe
- 41:43Speaker 18: a minute per movie of my general thoughts. But usually
- 41:46Speaker 18: it's just whatever I can remember. If there's something really important,
- 41:50Speaker 18: maybe I'll write it down on my phone after if
- 41:52Speaker 18: there was a quote I really liked or something, But
- 41:54Speaker 18: I don't know, I just let it flow.
- 41:55Speaker 5: Yeah, Jim, do you know about letterboxed? I don't know
- 41:58Speaker 5: about that. I mean, I know what letterbox is is.
- 42:00Speaker 5: It's the format in which movies are shot, right, but
- 42:02Speaker 5: it's also a site, a social site where people review movies.
- 42:05Speaker 5: I did not know about that. Now, Yeah, there's a
- 42:07Speaker 5: whole movie community really.
- 42:09Speaker 6: On an app.
- 42:10Speaker 5: It's called letterbox and everyone's commenting on what you think
- 42:13Speaker 5: and all this. It's a really cool community.
- 42:16Speaker 4: Do you have a favorite or I mean, I know
- 42:17Speaker 4: it's hard to ask a movie lever what their favorite is.
- 42:19Speaker 4: From genre to genre. It can change.
- 42:21Speaker 18: Yeah, it really is hard to pick all. I kind
- 42:24Speaker 18: of like to equate it as if it's whatever I'm
- 42:26Speaker 18: currently obsessed with. However, if I have to pick one,
- 42:28Speaker 18: it would probably be Lola Land.
- 42:30Speaker 5: Oh really, that's pretty current for a movie.
- 42:33Speaker 6: A best Yeah? Wow?
- 42:35Speaker 4: Is it just because it's a musical and you're like,
- 42:37Speaker 4: because you maybe are in that world, you think maybe
- 42:39Speaker 4: affect your opinion.
- 42:40Speaker 18: I think it's a little bit of everything. Yeah, it's
- 42:43Speaker 18: a musical that's about movies. There's a lot of homages
- 42:46Speaker 18: to old gold any Hollywood films which I grew up
- 42:48Speaker 18: watching alongside my animated films. So there's a lot of
- 42:51Speaker 18: nostalgia there. It's a colorful film, it's sad, it's funny.
- 42:56Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 42:56Speaker 18: It has everything.
- 42:57Speaker 6: I love that. Okay, well let's get to some of
- 42:58Speaker 6: these reviews.
- 42:59Speaker 5: Okay, so say we're gonna do a bad movie, a
- 43:01Speaker 5: good movie, and then a suggestion for streaming. Great, you
- 43:04Speaker 5: can do that in whatever order you like.
- 43:06Speaker 18: Here, I'm gonna start with my bad movie because I
- 43:09Speaker 18: have a lot to say about it. I this last
- 43:12Speaker 18: weekend I watched Animal Farm at the local AMC. And
- 43:18Speaker 18: yes it's animal Farm as in like the George or
- 43:20Speaker 18: well yeah, yes, yes, and it's been it's come out
- 43:24Speaker 18: before over the years, you know, there's been a couple
- 43:26Speaker 18: animated films, and I thought this had so much promise
- 43:30Speaker 18: because it's a stacked cast. In fact, like this isn't
- 43:33Speaker 18: even everybody, but this is just a few people that
- 43:35Speaker 18: are in it. There's Seth Rogan, Gatton Modarazzo, Waddy Harrelson,
- 43:40Speaker 18: Glenn Close, Karen Colkin, and then it's directed by Andy
- 43:44Speaker 18: serkis so like on paper, I'm like, ooh, a reimagining
- 43:47Speaker 18: of a classic novel. There's all these amazing people attached
- 43:51Speaker 18: to it. Surely it's gonna be great. It was so bad.
- 43:55Speaker 5: I heard they muted the real kind of definition of
- 43:58Speaker 5: what the book was for, and they really took all
- 44:01Speaker 5: of the controversy out of it and really kind of
- 44:03Speaker 5: dumbed it down.
- 44:04Speaker 18: Dumbed it down. I'm not exaggerating. There was a fart
- 44:07Speaker 18: joke twenty minutes into the movie. Oh, Georgia orwell, I'm
- 44:11Speaker 18: sure is rolling in his grave. It was so and
- 44:15Speaker 18: then even on top of that, it just wasn't a
- 44:17Speaker 18: well produced film, Like the animation wasn't great. It yeah,
- 44:22Speaker 18: like there's there's a cyber truck in there.
- 44:24Speaker 6: Why you just killed it for me?
- 44:30Speaker 4: You literally just took it out back like an old
- 44:32Speaker 4: dog and just shot in the back of the.
- 44:34Speaker 18: Oh at what they would call the laughterhouse. That's also
- 44:36Speaker 18: a joke that they have. The guys were going to
- 44:38Speaker 18: the Laughterhouse and then they like closed the door and
- 44:40Speaker 18: it's the slaughterhouse. Oh no, Yeah, it's really really bad.
- 44:45Speaker 6: Wow.
- 44:45Speaker 9: One of the.
- 44:46Speaker 18: Letterbox reviews just you know, to put a pin on
- 44:49Speaker 18: this is because I love reading the letterbox reviews. They're
- 44:52Speaker 18: very funny on there, and I think the summarizes it perfectly.
- 44:55Speaker 18: It says, uh, this is a faithful adaptation of Orwell's
- 44:58Speaker 18: animal Farm to the extent that our animals and there
- 45:01Speaker 18: is a farm. All I have to say.
- 45:05Speaker 6: About comparisons come to a screeching right after that. I
- 45:08Speaker 6: love it. This is like an over the Hedge animation, right, yes, yeah,
- 45:13Speaker 6: that's odd, so crazy, and it's you know.
- 45:16Speaker 4: The other thing I read about it was it seemed
- 45:18Speaker 4: like they kind of forced it out, almost like they
- 45:20Speaker 4: get the cast to agree to it and then really
- 45:22Speaker 4: didn't know what to do from there and then just
- 45:24Speaker 4: kind of shoved it out the door.
- 45:25Speaker 6: That's that's what another reviewer I read said about.
- 45:27Speaker 18: Yeah, please don't waste your time on very good your money? No, no, okay?
- 45:32Speaker 18: So am I good to move on to the one?
- 45:34Speaker 12: I like?
- 45:35Speaker 18: Yeah, they agree?
- 45:36Speaker 7: So uh.
- 45:37Speaker 18: The one movie from April I really enjoyed is the Drama.
- 45:42Speaker 18: Have you seen any of the marketing that was happening.
- 45:44Speaker 5: With that remind me of the premise because I think
- 45:46Speaker 5: I have there.
- 45:48Speaker 18: Okay, the marketing left a lot in the dark. It's
- 45:51Speaker 18: an A twenty four film starting starring Rob Pattinson and Zindia.
- 45:55Speaker 18: Oh yes, and all of the marketing marketing was like
- 46:00Speaker 18: you're invited to the wedding. So it's about this couple
- 46:02Speaker 18: and they are ramping up for their wedding happening in days.
- 46:07Speaker 18: They have this little dinner date with another couple and
- 46:09Speaker 18: the couple's like, you know what, before we got married,
- 46:12Speaker 18: we said the worst thing we've ever done to each
- 46:14Speaker 18: other before we got married, just to put it all
- 46:16Speaker 18: on the table. So they all go around and say
- 46:18Speaker 18: the worst thing they've ever done.
- 46:19Speaker 6: I would never I couldn't do that.
- 46:21Speaker 18: Yeah, it's ready already a horror film.
- 46:26Speaker 5: That's why I just pick up the tab and haul ass.
- 46:28Speaker 5: I'm like, I got this, guys, We're gonna get out
- 46:30Speaker 5: of here.
- 46:32Speaker 6: We're gonna go to the whorehouse.
- 46:33Speaker 3: We'll be going.
- 46:35Speaker 18: So it finally gets to Zendaya and everything stops because
- 46:39Speaker 18: she's dat.
- 46:43Speaker 6: It's really weird. You think the is weird.
- 46:46Speaker 5: That's weird, and I I don't.
- 46:49Speaker 18: Know if I want to spoil anything because it is
- 46:51Speaker 18: a really good film, and I don't want to spoil.
- 46:54Speaker 6: Yeah, don't, don't.
- 46:56Speaker 18: I won't. It's shocking, it is, and it creates a
- 47:00Speaker 18: lot of I mean, it becomes the driving force for
- 47:03Speaker 18: the entire film because then Rob Pattins's character is trying
- 47:07Speaker 18: to come to terms with well, why did this person
- 47:09Speaker 18: keep this from me? It makes him start going crazy,
- 47:12Speaker 18: fantasizing things, conversations that happen and don't happen.
- 47:16Speaker 5: So it is like a psychological thriller.
- 47:19Speaker 18: And also a romantic comedy.
- 47:20Speaker 7: I don't know how else it twenty twenty six. It
- 47:23Speaker 7: will eventually make sense.
- 47:25Speaker 18: It has, in its own weird way, a happy ending.
- 47:30Speaker 5: Okay, yeah is this. I have to go the theater
- 47:32Speaker 5: to see this right now.
- 47:33Speaker 18: Right now, But honestly, give it a couple months. It'll
- 47:36Speaker 18: probably go to streaming. I will say, if if anything
- 47:43Speaker 18: could be potentially triggering for you, wait until it goes
- 47:45Speaker 18: on a streaming. I really really hope that they add
- 47:47Speaker 18: a trigger warning to this because really, yes, because what
- 47:51Speaker 18: is revealed was pretty shocking.
- 47:53Speaker 5: Oh really, who else wants to say?
- 47:56Speaker 6: This movie right out of here?
- 47:57Speaker 5: Let's get out of here now, there's gonna be I'm
- 48:01Speaker 5: playing somewhere at.
- 48:03Speaker 18: Yeah, I will say Rob Pattinson really shines in it,
- 48:07Speaker 18: though I think I think.
- 48:08Speaker 4: He's a grossly underrated actor. And yeah, I think he
- 48:12Speaker 4: is because we saw the war movie. Yeah, and he
- 48:14Speaker 4: was unbelievably good.
- 48:16Speaker 5: In that he's got both streams going with them, with
- 48:18Speaker 5: the mainstream audience of Triple A budgets, those production companies
- 48:22Speaker 5: will trust him. But A twenty four is where this
- 48:25Speaker 5: guy's wings spread. He's done so many small budget movies
- 48:30Speaker 5: that's just showcasing him as an actor, and it works everything.
- 48:33Speaker 4: That weird one that was like based on a video
- 48:35Speaker 4: game or something where he kept like getting killed and.
- 48:37Speaker 6: Coming back or whatever.
- 48:38Speaker 5: Yes, seventeen, Yeah, Micky's seventeen.
- 48:39Speaker 6: We saw that.
- 48:40Speaker 4: I was like, Okay, well, not my kind of movie,
- 48:42Speaker 4: but his performance and it was really good and he
- 48:44Speaker 4: was He has successfully kind of shaken that Twilight thing,
- 48:47Speaker 4: which a lot of people have had a hard time
- 48:49Speaker 4: shaking those those roles that really put him into a
- 48:51Speaker 4: thing where people only know you as the dude from Twilight.
- 48:55Speaker 18: And so yeah, I mean, he admittedly hates Twilight, but
- 49:00Speaker 18: I think he's come to terms of it now that
- 49:01Speaker 18: he's removed himself enough from it.
- 49:03Speaker 5: I'll throw this out here about Emily because she brought
- 49:06Speaker 5: up brom comms, she brought about the drama. She's also
- 49:08Speaker 5: the person that made me watch the movie The Substance,
- 49:11Speaker 5: which is the most graphic night I've ever had in
- 49:14Speaker 5: my entire life. So it's not just rom comms that
- 49:17Speaker 5: I will lean on Emily more and she'll tell me
- 49:19Speaker 5: about other movies, movies that have never left me. And
- 49:22Speaker 5: it's the first thing I think of when I wake up,
- 49:24Speaker 5: And you lived in an apartment with eight drug addicts.
- 49:26Speaker 5: So that's saying a lot.
- 49:27Speaker 6: Sure.
- 49:28Speaker 5: And by the way, we're talking to Emily the movie girl.
- 49:30Speaker 5: You can check it out right now at Jim Corbertlive
- 49:31Speaker 5: dot com. Hopefully she'll rejoin us and talk about some movies.
- 49:35Speaker 5: We love doing this, so we appreciate you spending a
- 49:37Speaker 5: little time with us.
- 49:38Speaker 6: Now.
- 49:38Speaker 4: I heard the other part is a streaming recommendation. Okay,
- 49:42Speaker 4: now hold it before you start.
- 49:43Speaker 6: Now one again.
- 49:44Speaker 5: Yeah, this is maybe the most important thing you're gonna
- 49:47Speaker 5: do on this, And I'll tell you why, because we
- 49:50Speaker 5: talk about streaming movies and shows and things that are
- 49:52Speaker 5: happening all the time. Because our audience is the same thing. Like,
- 49:55Speaker 5: you know, they work hard, they go home, they have
- 49:57Speaker 5: a couple hours a night, and when you introduce something
- 50:00Speaker 5: them that they can like just kind of click on
- 50:02Speaker 5: and watch, like, that's a big positive. And when I
- 50:05Speaker 5: say them, I mean you're talking to me like I'm
- 50:08Speaker 5: always looking for something streaming that I would usually skip
- 50:12Speaker 5: through that somebody like you can go out and find
- 50:15Speaker 5: and like go and say, you know, hey, look if
- 50:17Speaker 5: you have to skip by this, you're gonna stop and
- 50:18Speaker 5: see it.
- 50:19Speaker 6: So I can also keep in mind that you heavily
- 50:22Speaker 6: recommended the substance, and Jim has admittedly in the break
- 50:26Speaker 6: said that he knows the recommendation came in and chose
- 50:29Speaker 6: not to watch.
- 50:29Speaker 5: That A weird DEMI more block.
- 50:30Speaker 6: We'll talk about it later.
- 50:32Speaker 18: Okay, I if I have to pick one movie, it's
- 50:36Speaker 18: not a straight to streaming movie, but it just dropped.
- 50:39Speaker 18: It was the last week of April, and I believe
- 50:41Speaker 18: it's on Hulu. No other choice. It's a South Korean
- 50:45Speaker 18: film that came out earlier this year that, in my opinion,
- 50:50Speaker 18: got completely snubbed at the Oscars this year. It's very good.
- 50:54Speaker 18: It's about this guy that has been working at a
- 50:57Speaker 18: paper company for twenty five years gets laid off and
- 51:00Speaker 18: then he decides to off who he believes are his
- 51:02Speaker 18: job competitors to get this next job.
- 51:04Speaker 5: How about this for a genre, Jim, It's a South
- 51:07Speaker 5: Korean black comedy thriller.
- 51:11Speaker 6: Oh really, I don't. I didn't.
- 51:12Speaker 5: I didn't know South Korean comedies could be black comedies, which.
- 51:19Speaker 6: Bad.
- 51:19Speaker 5: Yeah, but yeah, that is a genre. Also ninety on
- 51:24Speaker 5: Rotten Tomatoes. I have never heard of the movie. No
- 51:27Speaker 5: other choice.
- 51:28Speaker 18: Yeah, it's it's really good. I know it's a big
- 51:31Speaker 18: ask because it's an international film, so you know you
- 51:34Speaker 18: have Yeah, you have to read the subtitles. He doesn't read. Okay,
- 51:39Speaker 18: you have to read.
- 51:40Speaker 7: Say that again. That beautiful, Emily. I want you to
- 51:44Speaker 7: come back every week.
- 51:45Speaker 18: No, this is what's wrong with streaming.
- 51:47Speaker 5: You know you just said to me. You know what
- 51:49Speaker 5: you just said to me. You just looked at me
- 51:50Speaker 5: and said you know what you should work out. That's
- 51:55Speaker 5: what you just said to me.
- 51:56Speaker 6: You know what you just said to me. He's like,
- 51:58Speaker 6: you know what you should have you lay off the
- 51:59Speaker 6: fried food.
- 52:00Speaker 4: That's what you just said to me. I just I
- 52:04Speaker 4: will watch it with the subtitles. I'm not terribly against it,
- 52:07Speaker 4: but I will do it.
- 52:08Speaker 6: Okay.
- 52:08Speaker 18: There is another movie that is coming out this weekend
- 52:12Speaker 18: on streaming that I'm excited for, so don't have an
- 52:14Speaker 18: opinion on it yet, but it's called Oh my gosh,
- 52:18Speaker 18: Bright Remarkable Creatures, Bright Remarkable Creatures.
- 52:21Speaker 5: Yes.
- 52:21Speaker 18: Yes, it's based off of a novel of the same name.
- 52:24Speaker 18: I remember reading it. I believe it was either last
- 52:26Speaker 18: year or a year before last. It's about this old
- 52:29Speaker 18: janitor woman that works at an aquarium and she befriends
- 52:32Speaker 18: the octopus. But the chapters are really interesting because it
- 52:34Speaker 18: goes back and forth between her point of view and
- 52:37Speaker 18: octopus's point of view, so it's like the octopus narrative. Yeah, yeah, interesting, Yeah, yeah,
- 52:44Speaker 18: it's very to the chase.
- 52:45Speaker 6: You want to know, we'll be blackouse horrins in it,
- 52:49Speaker 6: you won't, you know what?
- 52:50Speaker 18: You won't need subtitles for that one.
- 52:52Speaker 7: I don't think, Oh, look at that.
- 52:55Speaker 6: There you go. What's the name of the octopost one?
- 52:59Speaker 6: I want to watch that one.
- 53:00Speaker 18: Bright remarkable creatures or remarkably great creatures, something like that.
- 53:05Speaker 5: Remarkably bright creatures. It's also got Sally Field. Does it
- 53:08Speaker 5: really crazy? I want to ask you a quick question.
- 53:11Speaker 5: We really like her before we get you out of here. Right,
- 53:14Speaker 5: I'm feel a little low. Let's go walk the mall.
- 53:17Speaker 5: That was a soap dish reference, by the way. So
- 53:20Speaker 5: I want to ask you. Did you see the latest
- 53:21Speaker 5: Sydney Sweeney movie, the one with where she's like a
- 53:24Speaker 5: nanny or something.
- 53:25Speaker 19: Oh?
- 53:26Speaker 18: Yes, can I ask the housemaid?
- 53:28Speaker 6: Yeah, the house Maid? Did you care for that at all? No?
- 53:30Speaker 6: You did not. No, I gotta tell you, I just
- 53:33Speaker 6: a little.
- 53:33Speaker 4: I thought that was a surprisingly much better movie than
- 53:36Speaker 4: I thought it was going to be because of her
- 53:38Speaker 4: and and how she's been framed like in America. I
- 53:42Speaker 4: didn't think it was all that bad at all. And
- 53:44Speaker 4: it's so funny. I told my daughter that she goes
- 53:46Speaker 4: really and I said, we watched it. Actually didn't think
- 53:48Speaker 4: it was terrible.
- 53:49Speaker 18: I mean, I love Amanda Sea Freed amazing. Yeah, yeah,
- 53:53Speaker 18: she's really fantastic. I don't know, Sidney Sney was just
- 53:56Speaker 18: kind of there.
- 53:58Speaker 4: I agree with that, but I thought the story in
- 53:59Speaker 4: the premise was good and I and I do think
- 54:01Speaker 4: a man to say for really kind of made the movie.
- 54:03Speaker 18: But here's a book that ever, it's pretty good.
- 54:06Speaker 6: Yeah, but that's basically long subtitles. That's analog subtitles, a
- 54:12Speaker 6: lot of it. You know what you just asked me
- 54:14Speaker 6: to do. Well, Emily, I appreciate it so much. This
- 54:17Speaker 6: has been a blast, and I hope you can find
- 54:19Speaker 6: some time to rejoin us. It doesn't have to be
- 54:21Speaker 6: in studio every time. We can do this via a
- 54:24Speaker 6: video or zoom if you If you can't make it,
- 54:26Speaker 6: but we would love to have you.
- 54:27Speaker 5: This has been ala. I hope you've had a good time.
- 54:28Speaker 18: Oh, this has been so much fun.
- 54:29Speaker 5: Thank you, awesome, good laugh for Emily.
- 54:31Speaker 6: What do you say? Where can people find you? In
- 54:35Speaker 6: letterbox again?
- 54:36Speaker 5: M retro reels m retro reels on letterbox if you
- 54:40Speaker 5: want to find out what Emily has to say about
- 54:42Speaker 5: other movies and other projects coming up, and hopefully we'll
- 54:45Speaker 5: see you next week.
- 54:45Speaker 18: You have Instagram, I do, but it's my name, so
- 54:48Speaker 18: it's going to be hard to spell ye, it's.
- 54:51Speaker 5: Silent geez and there's an F and there's a math signal.
- 54:55Speaker 5: I don't know that is.

- 56:10Speaker 4: dropping by man texting texting Starfers loved her so looking
- 56:14Speaker 4: forward to having Emily on Moore to talk about some movies.
- 56:16Speaker 4: We love talking about movies and TV shows and stuff
- 56:19Speaker 4: like that, and somebody who was so like completely dedicated
- 56:22Speaker 4: to it would be a nice addition.
- 56:23Speaker 5: I couldn't agree more. It's I know she has helped
- 56:26Speaker 5: me out so much when it comes to what to watch.
- 56:30Speaker 5: Her recommendations have always nailed it for me because she
- 56:34Speaker 5: kind of knows what I'm into and how far I'll go.
- 56:37Speaker 6: So she is bad at a thousand.
- 56:38Speaker 5: I'm so happy that you guys trusted me to be like, hey,
- 56:42Speaker 5: I actually know a movie reviewer. Yeah yeah, yeah, she's
- 56:44Speaker 5: good man and really cool as well. Do you remember
- 56:47Speaker 5: like back in the day, there's always like you kind
- 56:49Speaker 5: of knew what to watch Sundays at NBC. It's go
- 56:54Speaker 5: time we leaned.
- 56:55Speaker 4: On something completely different to find out the movies that
- 56:57Speaker 4: we thought were gonna mean winners and not losers.
- 57:01Speaker 6: What movies.
- 57:02Speaker 4: Yeah, cis and Baby, Yeah yeah, the Chicago Sun Times
- 57:07Speaker 4: and the Chicago Tribune. Those guys would get together and
- 57:11Speaker 4: they did a thing called well Ciskel and Ebert and
- 57:14Speaker 4: at the Movies, and they would go through like four
- 57:16Speaker 4: or five movies or the ones that were being released
- 57:18Speaker 4: that week, and they would give their uh it was
- 57:21Speaker 4: it was the thumbs up. It was thumbs up or
- 57:23Speaker 4: thumbs down. And they would get like like verbal altercations
- 57:26Speaker 4: while doing it and call each other names and stuff.
- 57:29Speaker 4: It was great because they were competitors, like they wrote
- 57:32Speaker 4: for opposite papers, but did the show together.
- 57:35Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 57:36Speaker 7: Yeah, And if you missed Emily's movie reviews, I just
- 57:39Speaker 7: posted our podcast to the Jim Culpers.
- 57:41Speaker 6: Nice. Thanks appreciate that.
- 57:43Speaker 5: I'm so curious what movies they got wrong now that
- 57:47Speaker 5: enough time.
- 57:47Speaker 6: Is past and you could go back. I think I
- 57:49Speaker 6: think they hated pulp fiction. I don't know. There's some
- 57:53Speaker 6: you can go back and, yeah, there are a number
- 57:55Speaker 6: of the they just didn't strike their fancy. Yeah yeah,
- 57:57Speaker 6: And you can get a number of the movie can
- 57:58Speaker 6: make money and still be a bad film, and we've
- 58:00Speaker 6: seen that a ton, and they wouldn't always agree. Yeah, yeah,
- 58:03Speaker 6: they well, yeah, they they agree, but it can also
- 58:05Speaker 6: be a level of that too. Oh when they hated
- 58:08Speaker 6: it and they really disagree, they really disagreed. There's video
- 58:10Speaker 6: of them cutting promos from behind the scenes stuff and
- 58:14Speaker 6: they are literally like almost at like fists. I mean,
- 58:17Speaker 6: it's they're getting that. It's it's a weirder time now.
- 58:21Speaker 6: When you sit down and you know, so you put
- 58:24Speaker 6: on your TV, like I'll do it tonight at probably
- 58:26Speaker 6: around eight o'clock, and you have to pick, okay, what
- 58:29Speaker 6: service to see what show is on? And you spend
- 58:33Speaker 6: all this time scrolling and you're on your different streaming platforms.
- 58:38Speaker 6: So it's like, I have Peacock for two more weeks,
- 58:40Speaker 6: so I want to watch something on there. And then
- 58:42Speaker 6: it's sometimes you forget things you're watching. I started Marco's
- 58:47Speaker 6: Got Money Troubles or money problems? Yeah, what do you
- 58:50Speaker 6: think about it? That's good?
- 58:51Speaker 9: I like it.
- 58:51Speaker 6: I'm two episodes in, Oh.
- 58:52Speaker 5: You're not even yeah you got Once you get to
- 58:54Speaker 5: about the fourth episode, you're gonna be like, what in
- 58:56Speaker 5: the hell?
- 58:57Speaker 4: And then the last time is only drop it every Wednesday, dude.
- 58:59Speaker 4: This last one was heavy, I mean heavy weird for Offerman,
- 59:05Speaker 4: but super heavy, but really good, super well written ship.
- 59:08Speaker 4: I Fifer kills it.
- 59:10Speaker 5: By the way, Cisco and Ebert, they gave two thumbs
- 59:13Speaker 5: down to the thing Yeah Yeah, John.
- 59:16Speaker 4: Carpenter's Yeah, which is one of the scariest thrillers of
- 59:18Speaker 4: all time.
- 59:19Speaker 5: It's now regarded as like like everyone's top ten horror film.
- 59:22Speaker 5: Really yeah yeah yeah, Kurt Russell or their most infamous
- 59:27Speaker 5: worst review is so I can't even say it without laughing.
- 59:30Speaker 5: They gave two thumbs up to Speed two Cruise Control
- 59:35Speaker 5: nineteen ninety seven, and that is looked at as their
- 59:38Speaker 5: big rock bottom moment where they swung and miss. I
- 59:41Speaker 5: think also, I think Ciskel actually helped write Roger Ebert
- 59:46Speaker 5: actually helped write Valley of the Dolls. I think he
- 59:49Speaker 5: was He was a screenwriter in that in that sense
- 59:51Speaker 5: as well. And uh yeah, interesting stuff and didn't something
- 59:54Speaker 5: bad happened? They got cancer and his jaw fell off. Okay, yeah,
- 59:59Speaker 5: the Ebert guy got answer, but like jaw cancer.
- 1:00:02Speaker 6: Because he was on television for so many years, they
- 1:00:06Speaker 6: had so much audio. Computer company created a database so
- 1:00:10Speaker 6: he still did the show. No of his voice so
- 1:00:13Speaker 6: he could communicate because he couldn't talk anymore. But he
- 1:00:16Speaker 6: had so much recording of his voice. They developed the
- 1:00:19Speaker 6: computer program where he kind of had a hot button
- 1:00:21Speaker 6: where he could type things and say things and it
- 1:00:23Speaker 6: would be in his voice. And he was a dick.
- 1:00:27Speaker 4: I mean, he was like, he was like he seemed
- 1:00:30Speaker 4: to be mean just for the sake of being mean.
- 1:00:33Speaker 6: So he still reviewed movies after he lost his jaw
- 1:00:36Speaker 6: yea like Jack said, he got a Stephen Hawking machine,
- 1:00:39Speaker 6: but would they would he still do the thumbs down there?
- 1:00:41Speaker 5: But it sounded more like thumbs down.
- 1:00:45Speaker 7: So that Something else you don't know about him is
- 1:00:48Speaker 7: that he's the reason why Oprah had a syndicated television show.
- 1:00:52Speaker 7: Way really they dated?
- 1:00:54Speaker 6: Oh wow?
- 1:00:55Speaker 5: Really?
- 1:00:56Speaker 7: Yeah, they dated, And while they were dating, he had
- 1:00:59Speaker 7: told her, listen with what you're going to do is
- 1:01:01Speaker 7: you need to get a syndication deal. Wow, you take
- 1:01:04Speaker 7: your show into syndication. And he talked her into going
- 1:01:07Speaker 7: into syndication. And that's why we have Oprah Winfrey today.
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: Unbelievable. Yeah, they're both Chicago based. That makes perfect sense.
- 1:01:14Speaker 4: How crazy is that?
- 1:01:15Speaker 5: I am in love of finding out these Cisco and
- 1:01:17Speaker 5: Ebert reviews that just they did not get right.
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: Dude, I'm telling you during the break you have to
- 1:01:23Speaker 4: YouTube their arguments or when they're cutting these promos and
- 1:01:27Speaker 4: they and they make mistakes and they start calling each
- 1:01:29Speaker 4: other out each other out. It is the greatest. It's
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: like an old married couple who just hate each other,
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: and but they're in the same house and they're not
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: going anywhere because there's not more able to go, and
- 1:01:38Speaker 4: they're just stuck with each other because that machine was
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: very successful, and they both couldn't leave and do anything
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: on their own because nobody cared about what they thought
- 1:01:46Speaker 4: about by themselves. It was just how they interacted on
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: the show, like they weren't very radio. I mean, I
- 1:01:52Speaker 4: can't I understand if Blade Runner isn't for everyone. Yeah,
- 1:01:56Speaker 4: but at the very least, I hope everyone can at
- 1:01:58Speaker 4: least respect Blade Run because it is such a great film,
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: especially for that time. But yeah, they give it a
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: mixed review, and it's like adult Star Wars. It's it's
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: rated All Star Wars all right four O seven nine

- 1:02:22Speaker 4: and I want to ask what you guys think, Like,

- 1:03:46Speaker 5: You didn't know that, you know, Danzig, he did that

- 1:04:31Speaker 4: your Papa block keyword fu in. Go to real Radio
- 1:04:35Speaker 4: dot and send that away for your chance at one

- 1:04:38Speaker 6: Fun.
- 1:04:38Speaker 5: Guys, that is your Papa block keyword.
- 1:04:40Speaker 6: Good luck. I'm Jim.
- 1:04:41Speaker 4: There's deb Hello, Jack and sauce Daddy on a Monday welcome,
- 1:04:46Speaker 4: So we'll get him on Thursday as well, and then
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: off you go.
- 1:04:49Speaker 6: Yep, are you doing stand up this weekend or.
- 1:04:51Speaker 5: Not this weekend? We honestly, what I'm doing is working
- 1:04:54Speaker 5: for the Pride on Friday. But I can tell you
- 1:04:57Speaker 5: may third Melbourne pineapples very nice.
- 1:05:00Speaker 4: And I know we have some big news coming up here.
- 1:05:02Speaker 4: People already asking when's Brandon coming in because obviously the
- 1:05:05Speaker 4: Magic news over the weekend wasn't the greatest, but we
- 1:05:08Speaker 4: did have some good Orlando sports news and we'll talk
- 1:05:10Speaker 4: about that a little bit later. Oh god, right at
- 1:05:13Speaker 4: the end, I was ready to go, yeah, all right.
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: So I don't know if you guys remember this case,
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: because the case has already happened, But you guys remember
- 1:05:21Speaker 4: this guy or this woman who was raped in her
- 1:05:24Speaker 4: apartment as she was in the middle of moving out.
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: The guy's name is Kevin Johnson, the guy who did it.
- 1:05:30Speaker 4: He had the dreads the whole line. There's a famous,
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: much or not much a shot of him sitting on
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: the ground, you know, handcuffed, and it was a really
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: really big story. How long ago was that deb do
- 1:05:39Speaker 4: you remember?
- 1:05:39Speaker 6: Oh?
- 1:05:40Speaker 7: Just been a few months, yeah, a few months ago, right, Yeah.
- 1:05:43Speaker 4: So now there's an interesting case that's happening because the
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: woman who was raped at Addison Cove Apartments over in
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: Merritt Island. For you guys on the coast and maybe
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: know where that is, you're welcome to send us a
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: text and give us an idea of what that's like.
- 1:05:56Speaker 4: So here's what happened. So this guy was a convicted felon,
- 1:05:59Speaker 4: he was on per obation and he was squatting on
- 1:06:02Speaker 4: the property like he was living in. They say an
- 1:06:04Speaker 4: open room. I don't know what that means, maybe a
- 1:06:06Speaker 4: laundry area or maybe I don't know, I don't know
- 1:06:10Speaker 4: where that is. Just it was an open room they said, yeah,
- 1:06:12Speaker 4: And didn't say it was an open apartment or anything
- 1:06:15Speaker 4: like that.
- 1:06:15Speaker 5: Just a space any the mailboxes.
- 1:06:18Speaker 4: It could have been a utility room that they were
- 1:06:20Speaker 4: being that maybe did the door didn't lock or whatever.
- 1:06:22Speaker 4: But apparently he was known to be there and the
- 1:06:26Speaker 4: complex knew he was being there. She actually was moving
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: out because of him because she didn't feel safe because
- 1:06:33Speaker 4: he was on property. Then he rapes her. She's suing
- 1:06:36Speaker 4: the apartment complex. Yeah, and she says, now you have
- 1:06:40Speaker 4: she goes it says here that a woman raped her
- 1:06:43Speaker 4: apartment while she was in the middle of moving out
- 1:06:44Speaker 4: because she didn't feel safe. Is now suing Addison Cobe
- 1:06:47Speaker 4: Apartments because our attorneys say Kevin Johnson, a convicted fella
- 1:06:51Speaker 4: on probation, wasn't a tenant, but still stayed in the
- 1:06:54Speaker 4: complex for months while he was squatting in an open room,
- 1:06:59Speaker 4: and it says the merit I Community correspondent James Spavero
- 1:07:02Speaker 4: asked the victim how she felt when she learned the
- 1:07:04Speaker 4: suspect was squatting in her building, and she says, angry
- 1:07:07Speaker 4: that anyone would allow that to happen, just like understanding
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: basic security. And of course we've talked about apartment complexes
- 1:07:12Speaker 4: and people who have access to that master key before
- 1:07:15Speaker 4: because of that terrible tragedy that happened on here in Orlando,
- 1:07:18Speaker 4: and this is kind of in that same line, like
- 1:07:20Speaker 4: the complex had an idea that this guy was unsavory
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: and on their property and did nothing to it and
- 1:07:26Speaker 4: a woman got raped because of it.
- 1:07:27Speaker 7: I wonder how many people were evicted for not paying
- 1:07:29Speaker 7: their rent while they had to walk by the squatter.
- 1:07:31Speaker 6: Oh yeah, yeah, no, Joe.
- 1:07:33Speaker 5: And it seems like not because a squatter insinuates like
- 1:07:36Speaker 5: a home and this open room, like if it's well,
- 1:07:41Speaker 5: I mean squatting, If it's just like a mailbox thing, yeah,
- 1:07:43Speaker 5: it's private property.
- 1:07:44Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:07:45Speaker 5: In other words, if somebody was living underneath that thing
- 1:07:48Speaker 5: that's downstairs that used to be the bank drive through,
- 1:07:50Speaker 5: if somebody was living under that during the you doing tonight,
- 1:07:53Speaker 5: that's squatting on the property. And you know there's set
- 1:07:55Speaker 5: up camp and they're they're you know, I don't know.
- 1:07:57Speaker 5: That's a great question, though, Jack, do people who if
- 1:07:58Speaker 5: people are who are homeless living intents outside on a
- 1:08:02Speaker 5: public like on a sidewalk, is that squatting. Well, doesn't
- 1:08:06Speaker 5: have to be on a piece of private property for
- 1:08:08Speaker 5: to be squatting.
- 1:08:10Speaker 7: I will look up the definition of squatting.
- 1:08:11Speaker 6: I think.
- 1:08:13Speaker 5: I think it has to be like on a piece
- 1:08:15Speaker 5: of private property. I don't think you can squat on
- 1:08:17Speaker 5: public property.
- 1:08:18Speaker 6: I think you.
- 1:08:18Speaker 5: Justtering, yeah, trespassing or lowering it, says. Two current tenants
- 1:08:25Speaker 5: said that new management since the attack has made improvements.
- 1:08:28Speaker 6: That's good.
- 1:08:29Speaker 4: The victim was picked up for the first time, said
- 1:08:31Speaker 4: she complained to the office before what happened to her.
- 1:08:33Speaker 4: I was proactive and leaving a dangerous environment and trying
- 1:08:37Speaker 4: my best to do everything right, and that just kind
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: of failed me. And this guy is still in jail
- 1:08:43Speaker 4: with no bond. The new management did not want to
- 1:08:46Speaker 4: respond to the lawsuit because they said they weren't here
- 1:08:48Speaker 4: at the time. In other words, I guess the apartment
- 1:08:50Speaker 4: compunx has been sold since then. I don't think that.
- 1:08:53Speaker 7: I don't think that that's not going to exonerate the
- 1:08:55Speaker 7: former owners from from their responsibility.
- 1:08:58Speaker 5: Right, Yeah, I think that would still continue, okay, And
- 1:09:01Speaker 5: how appropriate?
- 1:09:02Speaker 6: Is that just a coincidence?
- 1:09:03Speaker 7: Probably not?
- 1:09:05Speaker 5: They sold it.
- 1:09:06Speaker 7: By the way, squatting, as it refers to property occupancy,
- 1:09:10Speaker 7: is settling on or inhabiting land or buildings, particularly abandoned property,
- 1:09:15Speaker 7: without title right or permission from the owner.
- 1:09:18Speaker 6: And some of the.
- 1:09:19Speaker 4: Laws around that in this state are crazy, right, I
- 1:09:22Speaker 4: think even nationally, Right, haven't we seen stories where people
- 1:09:25Speaker 4: like go in and they squat and then they just
- 1:09:28Speaker 4: you can't get the property. You have to go through
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: the entire eviction process. My wife dealt with this during
- 1:09:32Speaker 4: the eight downturn because she was doing bank rep properties.
- 1:09:37Speaker 4: That was kind of a business. We were doing a
- 1:09:38Speaker 4: little bit and we would go clear these houses. I've
- 1:09:41Speaker 4: told you guys about this one hundred times. House abandoned.
- 1:09:44Speaker 4: Bank gives us the thing, says, hey, go change the locks,
- 1:09:46Speaker 4: make sure the windows are solid, make sure there's nobody
- 1:09:48Speaker 4: in there.
- 1:09:49Speaker 6: Whatever.
- 1:09:50Speaker 4: And we remember she remembers a case in Windermere. This
- 1:09:54Speaker 4: guy squatted in a Windermere property for seven years, not
- 1:10:00Speaker 4: pay the power bill or no had to pay the
- 1:10:02Speaker 4: power in the water bill, but that's all. Never paid
- 1:10:05Speaker 4: the mortgage. They couldn't get him out because every time
- 1:10:07Speaker 4: they went to do this, he went through some process
- 1:10:10Speaker 4: legally that allowed him to stay for another eight months
- 1:10:13Speaker 4: or nine months or whatever. And she said, it took
- 1:10:15Speaker 4: like forever to get this guy to out. The owner
- 1:10:18Speaker 4: lost hundreds of thousands of dollars because it was a
- 1:10:21Speaker 4: really nice piece of property and it's just kind of wild.
- 1:10:24Speaker 4: We saw it a lot in Kassimi. I mean, entire
- 1:10:26Speaker 4: neighborhoods were being abandoned because nobody could pay for the
- 1:10:29Speaker 4: homes and people were just kind of moving in.
- 1:10:32Speaker 7: If you remember, it was kind of like a social
- 1:10:33Speaker 7: media trend last year where influencers would take over abandoned mansions.
- 1:10:39Speaker 7: Oh yeah, and just squatting the mansions like you know,
- 1:10:41Speaker 7: you'd see you know, paparazzi taking photos and videos of them,
- 1:10:44Speaker 7: and you know they're just holding up in the mansion.
- 1:10:47Speaker 6: Pacific Heights, the movie with Michael Keaton. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 1:10:51Speaker 6: and he kind of terror It was a thriller, but
- 1:10:53Speaker 6: he terrorized him. But he used every legal loophole, so
- 1:10:56Speaker 6: you couldn't a victim, right, right, right, He knew all
- 1:10:59Speaker 6: the laws. Yeah.
- 1:11:00Speaker 5: And do you remember the case that we did where
- 1:11:02Speaker 5: we were talking about a squatter's case and there's that
- 1:11:05Speaker 5: guy and I think they featured this dude in sixty
- 1:11:07Speaker 5: minutes and they called him this He calls himself the
- 1:11:10Speaker 5: Squatterbuster or something like that.
- 1:11:12Speaker 6: And did you remember this ross? What did he have
- 1:11:14Speaker 6: like a baseball back?
- 1:11:15Speaker 5: Do you know how he got rid of squatters? No, brilliant?
- 1:11:17Speaker 5: Do you remember this?
- 1:11:18Speaker 7: I don't, But if it's anything like what I've seen
- 1:11:21Speaker 7: on the on the gram, this is pretty clever.
- 1:11:23Speaker 4: This is this guy's thing, right because I guess his
- 1:11:25Speaker 4: mom went through this, or his sister or something went
- 1:11:28Speaker 4: through this, and it changed his entire life. Where somebody's
- 1:11:31Speaker 4: squatted in his mom's or his sister's property, and they
- 1:11:33Speaker 4: had to go through a complete legal nightmare, costing them
- 1:11:37Speaker 4: thousands of dollars to get this person out. Well, this
- 1:11:40Speaker 4: guy does is he just goes up and squat's in
- 1:11:42Speaker 4: the house with him and then becomes unbearable.
- 1:11:45Speaker 6: That's awesome.
- 1:11:45Speaker 4: He moves into the squatterhouse like because he just walks in.
- 1:11:49Speaker 4: He's a big dude six three two twenty five two
- 1:11:51Speaker 4: thirty and he looks like he doesn't care if he
- 1:11:53Speaker 4: lives or not. He's got that look about him. Hey,
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: that real grundy kind of look like, you know, I'm
- 1:11:58Speaker 4: gonna do some stuff today and whatever happens to happen
- 1:12:00Speaker 4: kind of thing.
- 1:12:00Speaker 5: You're gonna need that look to beat fire with fire,
- 1:12:03Speaker 5: right right. And he goes into the squatter's house. He
- 1:12:05Speaker 5: moves in and then he starts playing hystereo as loud
- 1:12:08Speaker 5: as possible, doesn't flush the toilet, leaves all the windows open,
- 1:12:13Speaker 5: you know, it eats all the food out of the fridge,
- 1:12:15Speaker 5: I mean, sell stuff inside that. It just basically makes
- 1:12:18Speaker 5: their life, the squatter's life, a living nightmare, and they
- 1:12:23Speaker 5: wind up moving out. Then he changes all the locks
- 1:12:25Speaker 5: and the property goes back to the owner.
- 1:12:26Speaker 7: The one that I had seen was he just nails
- 1:12:29Speaker 7: the door shut so they can't get out, so they
- 1:12:32Speaker 7: can't get out. They can't get out, and you can
- 1:12:33Speaker 7: hear him on the other side of the door, like,
- 1:12:35Speaker 7: what deff are you doing, dude.
- 1:12:36Speaker 4: I'm telling you dealing with them. If you're a regular
- 1:12:39Speaker 4: logical person and you deal with some of these people
- 1:12:41Speaker 4: and their mentality about and you think it's a bunch
- 1:12:44Speaker 4: of bums, it's not the ones we dealt with. And
- 1:12:47Speaker 4: they're only two. One was kind of a bummy guy,
- 1:12:50Speaker 4: but the other one was a woman and she had
- 1:12:52Speaker 4: like kids and like had had been married before and
- 1:12:56Speaker 4: had a car and like had a job at one point.
- 1:12:58Speaker 4: I mean, she was just like if you saw on
- 1:13:00Speaker 4: the street, like our shopping in the store, you just think, oh,
- 1:13:02Speaker 4: there's just an everyday girl. And she was a squatter.
- 1:13:05Speaker 6: She'd done this.
- 1:13:06Speaker 5: It's like a gypsy kind of thing. I know it's
- 1:13:08Speaker 5: a bad term, but it was kind of like a
- 1:13:10Speaker 5: you know, just a scammer. So we in Florida, we
- 1:13:13Speaker 5: passed house bills six' two one in twenty twenty, four
- 1:13:16Speaker 5: which really turned up the state's aggression when it comes
- 1:13:20Speaker 5: to squatters and, LISTEN i love WHENEVER i get an
- 1:13:22Speaker 5: opportunity to break the stereotype of my political. PARTY i have,
- 1:13:26Speaker 5: never never understood the term squatters'. Rights, yeah, YEAH i
- 1:13:33Speaker 5: it doesn't. Compute they shouldn't be, there.
- 1:13:35Speaker 6: They're no, Right, yeah there should be no. RIGHTS i.
- 1:13:37Speaker 5: Don't it's it's an old term, though, Right like if
- 1:13:39Speaker 5: you found a piece of land that wasn't being used or,
- 1:13:41Speaker 5: whatever you just stayed there long enough and you got
- 1:13:43Speaker 5: credit for owning it or, something they would let you
- 1:13:46Speaker 5: stake acclaim or.
- 1:13:47Speaker 6: Something no one kicked me off.
- 1:13:48Speaker 7: Yet, yeah somebody just texted us at seven seven zero three.
- 1:13:51Speaker 7: One that apartment building has changed owners name several times
- 1:13:55Speaker 7: over the years to escape the bad reputation that it's always.
- 1:13:58Speaker 7: HAD i have lived over here almost my entire, life
- 1:14:01Speaker 7: and WHEN i work for a certain cable company and
- 1:14:03Speaker 7: a call would come through for that, building none of
- 1:14:05Speaker 7: us wanted to take it because it was such a
- 1:14:07Speaker 7: nasty building with bad people living in really yeah.
- 1:14:10Speaker 5: Yeah and what sucks is a lot of people don't
- 1:14:13Speaker 5: have any other opportunities to rent anywhere else because it's
- 1:14:16Speaker 5: so expensive to rent. Anywhere you wind. Up sometimes if
- 1:14:18Speaker 5: you're kind of down on your luck a little, bit
- 1:14:20Speaker 5: have to roll the dice and move into some of
- 1:14:22Speaker 5: these sketchy places just so you can afford a roof
- 1:14:23Speaker 5: over your.
- 1:14:24Speaker 7: HEAD i, MEAN i know that they're getting ready to
- 1:14:27Speaker 7: unveil quote unquote affordable housing over in The paramour, area

- 1:14:34Speaker 7: they're calling affordable housing in The paramour area is three
- 1:14:37Speaker 7: hundred and eighty thousand, dollars which is.
- 1:14:39Speaker 6: Insane it's.

- 1:21:53Speaker 4: say it this, way not necessarily.
- 1:21:54Speaker 6: Me let's leave me out of.
- 1:21:55Speaker 3: This.
- 1:21:55Speaker 5: Right let's just, say if you send someone a long,
- 1:21:57Speaker 5: text what kind of response do you?
- 1:22:00Speaker 6: Expect do you?
- 1:22:03Speaker 5: BELIEVE i, mean What i'm trying to ask is this
- 1:22:05Speaker 5: if you go off and you and you're kind of
- 1:22:07Speaker 5: getting into this. Right ross texted me this morning and he,
- 1:22:10Speaker 5: said or at last night and he, goes, hey look

- 1:22:22Speaker 5: and my answer And i'm not. Serious i'm dead.
- 1:22:25Speaker 4: Serious the text was like one of those where you
- 1:22:27Speaker 4: think something really serious is being, said, right, yeah.
- 1:22:29Speaker 5: Yeah my, response now you're any right, no, no. Ye
- 1:22:34Speaker 5: my response was, yes, yeah that's. It he sent me
- 1:22:37Speaker 5: this long ass text AND i simply said. Yes and
- 1:22:40Speaker 5: then he text back, cool AND i, said, oh he
- 1:22:43Speaker 5: probably THOUGHT i was being a dick BECAUSE i only
- 1:22:45Speaker 5: send him one word, back and he took the time
- 1:22:47Speaker 5: to explain all this stuff that was going. On and
- 1:22:49Speaker 5: so when he came in, today he's, like, look, DUDE
- 1:22:51Speaker 5: i don't mean to be short with. YOU i JUST i
- 1:22:53Speaker 5: was busy doing something AND i read the thing AND
- 1:22:55Speaker 5: i just sent a quick message and he, go what
- 1:22:58Speaker 5: did you say to? ME i just find it fastinating
- 1:23:00Speaker 5: BECAUSE i understand that. Struggle everyone has gotten long, Texts
- 1:23:04Speaker 5: but what is the? Balance what's the protocol?
- 1:23:06Speaker 4: There, Yeah like if you send me something really in
- 1:23:08Speaker 4: depth and you're, like, Hey, jimmy LOOK i Need friday
- 1:23:10Speaker 4: off because this is. Happening that's. Happening this is. Happening that's.
- 1:23:12Speaker 4: Happening AND i just, go, SURE.
- 1:23:14Speaker 6: I get, that And i've done, that and SO i
- 1:23:17Speaker 6: can totally relate to that, that but maybe does it feel.
- 1:23:21Speaker 5: LIKE i should have actually engauge, like oh, Dude i'm
- 1:23:24Speaker 5: sorry to hear.
- 1:23:24Speaker 6: That what's going? On, yeah no problem? Whatsoever like exactly like,
- 1:23:28Speaker 6: that and so you know you can't read into oh
- 1:23:31Speaker 6: that's an annoyed, Yes, yes that's that's what. Annoyed, yes
- 1:23:36Speaker 6: past Or, hey no, problem look forward to seeing you.
- 1:23:40Speaker 6: Tomorrow and that's WHAT i wound up saying, eventually like see.
- 1:23:43Speaker 6: Tomorrow explanation point BECAUSE i felt, Dicky, yeah BECAUSE i.
- 1:23:46Speaker 5: Did do you feel that way at?
- 1:23:47Speaker 16: All?
- 1:23:47Speaker 4: Oh, yeah it hit you like, that like you feel
- 1:23:49Speaker 4: like like IF i would if you would have sent, Me, Hey,
- 1:23:51Speaker 4: JIMMY i need this A. B i've gotta do, this
- 1:23:53Speaker 4: gotta do, that gotta do, This AND i just, went,
- 1:23:54Speaker 4: yeah you would think THAT i was upset about.
- 1:23:57Speaker 7: IT i was, like, oh there he. Goes he's mad.
- 1:23:59Speaker 7: Again he's always. Mad so the text THAT i sent
- 1:24:03Speaker 7: him always.
- 1:24:04Speaker 5: MAD i didn't even text just an answer without being a.
- 1:24:06Speaker 5: Dick the text THAT i sent him was thirty three words.
- 1:24:10Speaker 5: LONG i just, counted and, yes there's a couple of
- 1:24:12Speaker 5: a's and i's and o's in. There that's thirty three.
- 1:24:17Speaker 7: Words, yes his response was three, letters so it's still
- 1:24:21Speaker 7: it's still lined up with the letter.
- 1:24:22Speaker 6: Three that's what he was shooting.
- 1:24:24Speaker 5: For BUT i think everybody in twenty twenty six knows
- 1:24:28Speaker 5: exactly What jim is talking. About where the obligation starts
- 1:24:32Speaker 5: skyrocketing the further the text.
- 1:24:35Speaker 7: Is which is why like the text IS i understand
- 1:24:38Speaker 7: where you come, From, ross which is it's just easier
- 1:24:40Speaker 7: to give me a.
- 1:24:41Speaker 6: CALL i get, TONED i get get timings, exactly AND
- 1:24:45Speaker 6: i can probably pick up on. That oh it's not
- 1:24:48Speaker 6: me that's being the cause of the bad. Day it's something.
- 1:24:51Speaker 4: Else so then your attitude, Changed and then all of
- 1:24:53Speaker 4: a SUDDEN i was, like, WELL i WAS i was

- 1:40:52Speaker 4: didn't have to be on. Set it was just his, voice,

- 1:41:47Speaker 4: guy who PLAYED c three po was there, real, yeah
- 1:41:49Speaker 4: he would not go to the same ones because he
- 1:41:51Speaker 4: didn't want to be next to. It at the Time
- 1:41:54Speaker 4: Star Wars wars was, set how old Is? Chabaca like
- 1:41:59Speaker 4: when they shot the very first movie in seventy, seven
- 1:42:01Speaker 4: when you See chewbacca in the, movie according to the
- 1:42:04Speaker 4: creators of the, film at that, time he's how.
- 1:42:07Speaker 6: Old i'm gonna go to? Ten two ten years? Old,
- 1:42:11Speaker 6: Yeah i'm going thirty.
- 1:42:13Speaker 5: Five twenty, eight two hundred years. Old he was two
- 1:42:17Speaker 5: hundred years. Old and when you Saw chewbacca for the first,
- 1:42:20Speaker 5: time when you saw him at that, time the writer
- 1:42:23Speaker 5: said he was two hundred years.
- 1:42:24Speaker 6: Old oh.
- 1:42:24Speaker 5: Wow, well you have to understand that gravity is different
- 1:42:27Speaker 5: on the home, planet Cash, jack where are you taking?
- 1:42:29Speaker 5: It in the original SCRIPT r TWO d two cursed a.
- 1:42:37Speaker 5: Ton they changed everything about him because he cursed like
- 1:42:40Speaker 5: every other.
- 1:42:41Speaker 6: Thing he.
- 1:42:41Speaker 4: Said it was a curse. Word really yea yeah, yeah
- 1:42:44Speaker 4: so they changed. It and then, lastly here this is
- 1:42:46Speaker 4: the this is the best one of.
- 1:42:47Speaker 6: All saw.
- 1:42:49Speaker 16: A.
- 1:42:49Speaker 7: Cussing oh, yeah if you.
- 1:42:51Speaker 4: If you went a great rabbit, hole just say fun
- 1:42:53Speaker 4: facts about the First Star wars and buddy off you.
- 1:42:55Speaker 6: Go it is. Crazy that means all OF r TWO
- 1:42:57Speaker 6: d two's beeps for. Censors that's probably what it.
- 1:43:01Speaker 4: Was, Finally Donald duck and then lastly Here George lucas
- 1:43:05Speaker 4: And Steven spielberg were so sure That Star wars was
- 1:43:08Speaker 4: going to. Flop they didn't Go they didn't go to
- 1:43:11Speaker 4: the movie. Premiere they actually went on vacation. Instead what
- 1:43:14Speaker 4: do you think they did on?
- 1:43:15Speaker 6: Vacation?
- 1:43:16Speaker 5: Right and they wrote the Movie raiders of The Lost. Art,
- 1:43:19Speaker 5: yeah oh, Wow so they didn't go to the.
- 1:43:22Speaker 4: Movie that's one of the if not the most successful
- 1:43:25Speaker 4: film franchise in. History they also went and wrote one
- 1:43:29Speaker 4: of the other best movies in, History Raiders All, start
- 1:43:32Speaker 4: by the, way its a perfect.
- 1:43:33Speaker 5: Film the one of the saddest things That i've heard
- 1:43:36Speaker 5: and read recently in the world Of Star wars Was
- 1:43:39Speaker 5: George lucas kind of talking about the moment When disney
- 1:43:43Speaker 5: buys the, franchise they have the, meeting he, goes this
- 1:43:46Speaker 5: is WHAT i, think this is WHERE i think the
- 1:43:47Speaker 5: franchise should, go and they.
- 1:43:49Speaker 6: Kind of just nodded and.
- 1:43:50Speaker 5: Smiled, Yes George lucas basically going, yeah but it's, yeah
- 1:43:55Speaker 5: but it's over and we're gonna do what we want to, do.
- 1:43:58Speaker 6: Right, yeah you told.
- 1:43:58Speaker 5: It and he talks about that, moment that realization where, like,
- 1:44:02Speaker 5: damn my babies are. Gone, yeah they're. Done and he
- 1:44:05Speaker 5: wasn't supposed to be the easiest guy to work with.
- 1:44:07Speaker 5: EITHER a lot of the actors said that his only
- 1:44:09Speaker 5: direction was faster and more, intense and they actually made
- 1:44:13Speaker 5: signs that when he wasn't, around they would hold him
- 1:44:15Speaker 5: up and it would say faster and more. Intense and
- 1:44:17Speaker 5: he didn't like look at actors as. Valuable he only
- 1:44:20Speaker 5: considered the writing and what was happening around them. Valuable
- 1:44:24Speaker 5: it was kind of.
- 1:44:24Speaker 7: WILD i bet his opinion about that has. Changed.
- 1:44:27Speaker 4: Yeah he also said that the deal he made With,
- 1:44:29Speaker 4: fox when he made the deal and he sat across,
- 1:44:32Speaker 4: him he, goes ALL i want is access to the
- 1:44:34Speaker 4: rights for all the, merchandising And fox couldn't wait to
- 1:44:38Speaker 4: sign the deal because they were so short. Sighted they
- 1:44:41Speaker 4: didn't realize that that was going to be the real
- 1:44:44Speaker 4: money maker of the. Film although it does well ticket,
- 1:44:46Speaker 4: wise the merch has been never really they haven't really
- 1:44:50Speaker 4: compounded how much it's, worth but the film franchise is
- 1:44:53Speaker 4: worth anywhere from eight to ten billion. DOLLARS i believe
- 1:44:56Speaker 4: that's not counting. MERCHANDISE i believe they Bought Star. Wars
- 1:44:59Speaker 4: disney bought The French Star wars for four.
- 1:45:01Speaker 6: Billion. YEAH i think that was the price tag for.
- 1:45:04Speaker 3: IT.
- 1:45:04Speaker 5: YEP i have another fun fact About George. Lucas he
- 1:45:07Speaker 5: has movies just in his home that he's made for,
- 1:45:10Speaker 5: him himself and this, friend and you'll never see him
- 1:45:13Speaker 5: and you'll never see. Them All, right we got another

- 1:46:55Speaker 5: Cash, well let's talk about some sports. Here obviously there's
- 1:46:59Speaker 5: one big story In orlando today and then another minor big.
- 1:47:04Speaker 5: Story but, No Orlando magic not only lose to The Deroit,
- 1:47:07Speaker 5: pistons they lose their coach in the Most magic fashion
- 1:47:12Speaker 5: of all.
- 1:47:12Speaker 6: Time you, know we.
- 1:47:13Speaker 4: Go up three to one on the number one team
- 1:47:14Speaker 4: in The east and then systemically or systematically just go
- 1:47:18Speaker 4: and just lose one after the. Other but this last
- 1:47:20Speaker 4: one was exceptionally. Bad, yeah last night was. Rough The
- 1:47:26Speaker 4: magic played really well in the first.
- 1:47:28Speaker 19: Quarter it was a close, game and then The pistons
- 1:47:31Speaker 19: just opened it up from. There The magic continued to
- 1:47:35Speaker 19: not make, shots which was more of a. Problem game
- 1:47:38Speaker 19: six was more treacherous Than game seven. Was game, six
- 1:47:43Speaker 19: The magic had a twenty four point lead in the first,
- 1:47:46Speaker 19: half a twenty four point lead in a series where
- 1:47:49Speaker 19: both teams are struggling to, score a twenty four point,
- 1:47:53Speaker 19: lead where your, opponent even at the end of the
- 1:47:55Speaker 19: game when they hate to spoil, it came all the way.
- 1:47:59Speaker 6: Back.
- 1:47:59Speaker 19: Yeah, yeah won by double, digits right, right didn't get
- 1:48:02Speaker 19: to one hundred. Points that, scary which is unheard of
- 1:48:05Speaker 19: in THE nba. Today so it's not like you were.
- 1:48:10Speaker 19: Battling you weren't battling some all time great offensive performance
- 1:48:13Speaker 19: that got sparked the magic went forty five minutes of real,
- 1:48:17Speaker 19: time not game, time without making a. Shot it was
- 1:48:20Speaker 19: twenty three consecutive misses and unfortunately that did bleed over
- 1:48:25Speaker 19: Into game. Seven there's an obvious connection with both of those,
- 1:48:29Speaker 19: games which is That Franz, wagner the second best, player
- 1:48:32Speaker 19: maybe the best sometimes whatever it's ONE, a ONE b With,
- 1:48:35Speaker 19: pallo wasn't available in either of those. Games you had
- 1:48:39Speaker 19: a calf. Issue calf injuries you don't mess around with in.
- 1:48:42Speaker 19: Sports those are the precursor to An achilles, rupture and
- 1:48:47Speaker 19: that will put you out for at least a. Year,
- 1:48:48Speaker 19: yeah and they didn't want to mess with. THAT i
- 1:48:50Speaker 19: totally get, it but it cost them the. Series so,
- 1:48:52Speaker 19: YE i, mean.
- 1:48:53Speaker 5: Do you have Because ross said this, earlier he, said
- 1:48:55Speaker 5: you can't really discount the effect That franz has when
- 1:48:59Speaker 5: it comes to shutting Down cunningham and you, know and
- 1:49:01Speaker 5: offering a big body in the middle as well on the.
- 1:49:04Speaker 5: OFFENSES i, mean is that?
- 1:49:05Speaker 6: Accurate? Absolutely.
- 1:49:07Speaker 19: ABSOLUTELY i think one of the things that you'll notice
- 1:49:10Speaker 19: if you watch THE nba. Postseason in TODAY'S, nba there's
- 1:49:14Speaker 19: two things that really matter a. LOT i, mean outside
- 1:49:16Speaker 19: of the obvious three point shooting is taken over the.
- 1:49:18Speaker 6: League that's not anything. New you have to have two.
- 1:49:21Speaker 19: Guys it's a little bit nineties in that, way whereas
- 1:49:24Speaker 19: like think ABOUT nba, Chance, yeah there's always a.
- 1:49:27Speaker 6: Duo it has to be a.
- 1:49:28Speaker 19: Duo you have to have two guys that can take
- 1:49:31Speaker 19: over a basketball, game and if you, don't then you're
- 1:49:35Speaker 19: not going to go very. Far the other thing is
- 1:49:37Speaker 19: there's this weak link era where you can't throw out
- 1:49:42Speaker 19: you can't throw out guys on the court on offense
- 1:49:44Speaker 19: or on defense that have no game right right to,
- 1:49:47Speaker 19: them because they will get targeted on both ends the.
- 1:49:51Speaker 19: Defense if you put out someone that can't, shoot the
- 1:49:53Speaker 19: defense will will they will go out of their way
- 1:49:56Speaker 19: to make sure you're passing the ball eventually to that.
- 1:49:58Speaker 6: Player leive them why, open and we'll live with that. Shot.
- 1:50:01Speaker 6: Sure on, defense these guys get.
- 1:50:04Speaker 19: Hunted it's one of the issues that The knicks have
- 1:50:07Speaker 19: because as great As Jalen brunson is, offensively the opposing
- 1:50:11Speaker 19: offense they just go After brunson on every. Play, tonight
- 1:50:16Speaker 19: The sixers, play the seventy Six ers, play The. Knicks
- 1:50:19Speaker 19: watch how Often tyre S maaxy roast this, dude it's
- 1:50:23Speaker 19: gonna be again and again and. Again they have to overcome. That,
- 1:50:25Speaker 19: yeah you have to be so incredible to overcome those.
- 1:50:28Speaker 19: Things AND i think that last year when he saw
- 1:50:31Speaker 19: The thunder and The pacers make it to the, finals
- 1:50:33Speaker 19: those two, teams while they were built, differently had a similar.
- 1:50:36Speaker 19: Trait every single player from their starters to their bench
- 1:50:40Speaker 19: they threw out on the, floor played some sort of
- 1:50:44Speaker 19: key role in what made their operation. Run, yeah The
- 1:50:48Speaker 19: magic have too many players that aren't great defensively and can't,
- 1:50:52Speaker 19: shoot and you just can't win in THE nba like.
- 1:50:55Speaker 3: That.
- 1:50:55Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, well let's talk About Jamal. Mosley of course
- 1:50:58Speaker 4: we kind of already. KNEW i made a joke that
- 1:50:59Speaker 4: as soon AS i got in, TODAY i came, IN i,
- 1:51:01Speaker 4: said what do you think The calshi odds are on
- 1:51:03Speaker 4: mostly making it through the, day and of COURSE i
- 1:51:06Speaker 4: should sit through the.
- 1:51:07Speaker 19: HOUR i, SAID i would put a hefty wager on
- 1:51:10Speaker 19: that we would not make it through The.
- 1:51:11Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah so you, know not saying this guy's a bad.
- 1:51:14Speaker 4: Coach he has taken this team to the playoffs three
- 1:51:16Speaker 4: years in a. Row three years in a, row all
- 1:51:18Speaker 4: first round, exits two game. Sevens, yeah the. GUYS i
- 1:51:22Speaker 4: do think the guy is a good.
- 1:51:23Speaker 19: Coach that's an unpopular opinion today because he's not. PERFECT
- 1:51:28Speaker 19: i think he has a room to grow out of
- 1:51:30Speaker 19: timeout calls and when to use. TIMEOUTS i think overthinking
- 1:51:35Speaker 19: his rotations and things like. That people make too much
- 1:51:39Speaker 19: of halftime. Adjustments if you ever ever hear anybody over
- 1:51:42Speaker 19: use that, phrase just immediately discount what they're. SAYING i
- 1:51:46Speaker 19: host a halftime, show you get like ten. Minutes, yeah
- 1:51:49Speaker 19: you got to change your whole game plan in ten. Minutes,
- 1:51:51Speaker 19: NO i mean, OBVIOUSLY i, mean come, on that's not the.
- 1:51:52Speaker 19: WAY i, mean you can get point, like, hey this
- 1:51:54Speaker 19: guy's doing, this this guy's doing. That we can rotate
- 1:51:56Speaker 19: around and shut that. Down but you could do that
- 1:51:57Speaker 19: during the. GAME i mean. Exactly if you point out
- 1:52:00Speaker 19: that coach isn't good at making, adjustments that's. Fine halftime
- 1:52:03Speaker 19: adjustments are so. Overrated these guys go to the locker,
- 1:52:06Speaker 19: room they get a quick bite to, eat maybe they
- 1:52:07Speaker 19: eat some apple, sauce you don't want to fill up too,
- 1:52:09Speaker 19: much and then they go to the bathroom and they
- 1:52:12Speaker 19: run back out and they're. Shooting when do they have
- 1:52:14Speaker 19: time to sit and watch game? Films that's not how
- 1:52:16Speaker 19: halftime halftime for.
- 1:52:17Speaker 6: Me he's like.
- 1:52:17Speaker 5: WINGS i like some, fries maybe some, CHEESE a couple
- 1:52:20Speaker 5: of drinks will get out. There any ideas of who
- 1:52:23Speaker 5: The magic are scouting for a? Possibility are we going
- 1:52:25Speaker 5: to do this from? Within are we going out for
- 1:52:27Speaker 5: a big? Name what's going? On there's one there's one
- 1:52:30Speaker 5: COACH i don't even know if it's on the, Paper Sam.
- 1:52:33Speaker 5: CASSELL i want to See Sam cassell In? Orlando is that?
- 1:52:35Speaker 5: Crazy the Old rockets? Guy, yeah, dude the Old Sam
- 1:52:38Speaker 5: cassell is you remember the Name eric B.
- 1:52:41Speaker 19: Enemy he Was Andy reid's assistant coach and every year
- 1:52:44Speaker 19: he was part of the cycle of. Names, yeah and
- 1:52:46Speaker 19: then he never got the. Job That's Sam cassell in THE.
- 1:52:50Speaker 19: Nba every year his name is, like all, right top three?
- 1:52:53Speaker 6: Candidates is this? Guy this guy In Sam. Cassell SO
- 1:52:57Speaker 6: i don't know.
- 1:52:57Speaker 19: WHY i don't know why he never gets the head
- 1:52:59Speaker 19: coach coaching, job but he's always. Mentioned he's always someone
- 1:53:02Speaker 19: that people get excited. About he was a great point
- 1:53:05Speaker 19: guard during his. Time that usually translates to being a good.
- 1:53:08Speaker 19: Coach we see a lot of point. Guards Steve, Nash Jason, Kiddy.
- 1:53:12Speaker 5: Steve ger is similar To Jamal, mosley one of those
- 1:53:14Speaker 5: names that always got brought up five six years ago of, like, okay,
- 1:53:18Speaker 5: well this guy's supposed to, be you, know the future of,
- 1:53:20Speaker 5: coaching and then finally we gave him a. Shot but
- 1:53:22Speaker 5: five years no playoff series.
- 1:53:24Speaker 19: Wins SO i think what we see every organization in
- 1:53:29Speaker 19: sports follows the same. Pattern if you hire a guy
- 1:53:33Speaker 19: that has no previous head coaching, experience then the next
- 1:53:37Speaker 19: coach you hire has head coaching. Experience, Right it's not
- 1:53:41Speaker 19: always that direct with the but it's always, like whatever
- 1:53:44Speaker 19: the deficiency of the previous coach, was is the what
- 1:53:47Speaker 19: you hire than the next?
- 1:53:48Speaker 6: Coach?
- 1:53:48Speaker 5: Understood but we also know we've heard rumors that some
- 1:53:52Speaker 5: of the stars can also determine how the team chooses a.
- 1:53:56Speaker 5: Coach if you want to keep The star In, orlando,
- 1:53:58Speaker 5: theoretically is you out there and find a coach of
- 1:54:01Speaker 5: this guy Jels. With we definitely Want, Pallo bancero And
- 1:54:04Speaker 5: franz to stick. Around i'd heard there was some you,
- 1:54:06Speaker 5: know rumblings that were some stuff in the locker room going.
- 1:54:09Speaker 5: On i'll while You're Dwight Howard Stan gundy kind of.
- 1:54:12Speaker 6: Thing.
- 1:54:13Speaker 4: Yeah, Yeah but with this, scenario is that the same
- 1:54:16Speaker 4: As paalo and Do franz have that kind of pool
- 1:54:18Speaker 4: in the in the locker room to make the front
- 1:54:20Speaker 4: office make a change that fits them in their game.
- 1:54:22Speaker 6: BETTER i think.
- 1:54:23Speaker 19: So they they're stars in the, league they definitely have
- 1:54:26Speaker 19: some say in the. MATTER i don't think they have
- 1:54:29Speaker 19: as much pull as some of the bigger names in the.
- 1:54:32Speaker 19: League they're Not lebron or anything like. That Like lebron
- 1:54:34Speaker 19: literally had his podcast Partner yea hired as the head
- 1:54:38Speaker 19: coach and then had his son, drafted who wasn't AN nba.
- 1:54:40Speaker 19: Player he's been better, lately by the. Way but now
- 1:54:44Speaker 19: they don't have that kind of, Pool but they have
- 1:54:45Speaker 19: a poll every start in THE. Nba at some, LEVEL
- 1:54:49Speaker 19: i think they're gonna go, with Like Billy donovan is
- 1:54:52Speaker 19: the name that.
- 1:54:53Speaker 6: We've heard a, lot but we've already done that for a, Day,
- 1:54:56Speaker 6: yeah exactly for a. Day.
- 1:54:58Speaker 19: Today he took the, job and then he went up
- 1:55:01Speaker 19: To florida and he did his goodbye press conference and
- 1:55:05Speaker 19: his wife was, LIKE.
- 1:55:06Speaker 6: I am, oving and he was, like all, Right i'm
- 1:55:09Speaker 6: not leaving, well then you can commute do. Aug it's
- 1:55:11Speaker 6: not that.
- 1:55:11Speaker 5: Far he's a game Build. Orlando ain't that, bad. DUDE i,
- 1:55:14Speaker 5: mean you hire a guy that has done that to.
- 1:55:16Speaker 5: YOU i mean he was the head coach of The.
- 1:55:17Speaker 19: Bulls they chose to retain, him and then he walked
- 1:55:20Speaker 19: away from the.
- 1:55:21Speaker 6: Job. Again this is two times.
- 1:55:22Speaker 19: Now but here's the cool thing about where The magic
- 1:55:24Speaker 19: are is that whether It's Billy donovan or, whoever this
- 1:55:29Speaker 19: is the best job available in THE nba.
- 1:55:32Speaker 6: Now it is a very short.
- 1:55:35Speaker 19: List there's only three jobs available right, Now, Magic bulls And.
- 1:55:39Speaker 19: Pelicans and The pelicans are rumored to be After Jamal,
- 1:55:43Speaker 19: moseley so that job is probably going to be taken
- 1:55:45Speaker 19: by the Prior Orlando magic. Coach so really you're just Fighting.
- 1:55:48Speaker 19: Chicago they need somebody to Watch zion.
- 1:55:50Speaker 6: SIT i think you would. Be he'd probably be a
- 1:55:55Speaker 6: good fit there or. WHATEVER i.
- 1:55:56Speaker 19: Mean this is the. Carousel, ultimately what all boys down
- 1:56:00Speaker 19: to is. This IF i could punctuate the, sentence go.
- 1:56:02Speaker 19: Ahead the reason WHY i haven't been too hard On
- 1:56:05Speaker 19: moseley throughout his time here is the same reason WHY
- 1:56:08Speaker 19: i won't be to the next. Guy there's no other
- 1:56:11Speaker 19: league in this world that is more player driven and
- 1:56:15Speaker 19: less impacted by the coaches that are standing on the
- 1:56:18Speaker 19: sideline clapping and calling time. Outs and in THE, nba
- 1:56:22Speaker 19: the players get paid gazillion dollars to get this. Done
- 1:56:27Speaker 19: every single great team in the history of THE, nba
- 1:56:30Speaker 19: every champion has had like one of the top ten
- 1:56:33Speaker 19: players in the world on. It the path is very
- 1:56:36Speaker 19: obvious and. SIMPLE a great, player have a great, player
- 1:56:40Speaker 19: don't get, way and the supporting pass the end and
- 1:56:44Speaker 19: it's if you find a good head coach along the, way.
- 1:56:47Speaker 6: Great that's not the be all end all in THE. Nba,
- 1:56:49Speaker 6: yeah for. Sure let's move on real quick to The Orlando.
- 1:56:51Speaker 4: City they had a gigantic win this past, weekend went
- 1:56:54Speaker 4: down To miami uh, and looking at a three to zero,
- 1:56:56Speaker 4: deficit managed to stream together four scores and wind up
- 1:57:00Speaker 4: pulling it out at four to oh which is a,
- 1:57:02Speaker 4: big big. Deal it's their new. Stadium messi was on the,
- 1:57:04Speaker 4: pitch so.
- 1:57:06Speaker 19: Not often do do we defeat Into miami to do
- 1:57:11Speaker 19: it in their stadium in front of their annoying fans
- 1:57:14Speaker 19: who have latched onto The messi. Bandwagon it just makes
- 1:57:17Speaker 19: it that much. Sweeter and then to MAKE mls. History
- 1:57:20Speaker 19: on top of, it it's only happened a few times
- 1:57:22Speaker 19: in the history of this league where a team has
- 1:57:24Speaker 19: been down three to zero and then battled all the
- 1:57:27Speaker 19: way back to get a. Win so shout out To Martino,
- 1:57:29Speaker 19: hada who was the best player on the pitch that.
- 1:57:31Speaker 6: Night and that's saying something with me as.
- 1:57:37Speaker 5: Well very good throwing this out. Here that was you
- 1:57:40Speaker 5: were saying their new. STADIUM i believe that was their
- 1:57:42Speaker 5: fourth match in their new. Stadium they had draws the
- 1:57:45Speaker 5: first three, matches which means that they are Inner miami
- 1:57:49Speaker 5: the first team to lose in that, stadium And Orlando
- 1:57:53Speaker 5: city is the first team to win that. Stadium the rivalry,
- 1:58:00Speaker 5: YOU i love the fact That messi is Very it's

- 2:02:22Speaker 4: same amount of attention from the. Firm AND i love.
- 2:02:24Speaker 6: That you.
- 2:02:25Speaker 25: Know the problem is there's not a lot of good
- 2:02:27Speaker 25: information out. There there's a lot of people that are
- 2:02:29Speaker 25: afraid of asking those. Questions and so you, know, really
- 2:02:34Speaker 25: What i've tried to do Since i've been on the
- 2:02:35Speaker 25: air and just in general in my career is just
- 2:02:38Speaker 25: present an opportunity for people to.
- 2:02:41Speaker 6: Talk to somebody and have a voice and get a.
- 2:02:43Speaker 4: Voice, absolutely, MAN i gotta tell you just you don't
- 2:02:45Speaker 4: feel you, know you feel so unempowered or disempowered or
- 2:02:49Speaker 4: disenfranchised when you're out there on your own and you
- 2:02:52Speaker 4: don't have a, Voice you don't know what to, say
- 2:02:54Speaker 4: you don't know who to say it. To and the
- 2:02:55Speaker 4: very thing is like a simple call and that gets
- 2:02:58Speaker 4: that sums that, up which is always very.
- 2:02:59Speaker 6: NICE i had come the.
- 2:03:00Speaker 4: Best you, know we were texting this morning and talking
- 2:03:02Speaker 4: about a case that's out In, houston and THEN i was, like, hey,
- 2:03:05Speaker 4: man that's wild because the same kind of thing is
- 2:03:07Speaker 4: happening In.
- 2:03:08Speaker 5: Orlando what did you see?
- 2:03:09Speaker 25: Today, Yeah, so So starlink In texas has a lawsuit
- 2:03:16Speaker 25: filed against. It it's it's brand. NEW i wasn't able
- 2:03:18Speaker 25: to pull the lawsuit for, today but brand new as
- 2:03:22Speaker 25: of this. Morning where the homeowners in and around the
- 2:03:26Speaker 25: port area where the launch facility is at our filing
- 2:03:30Speaker 25: lawsuits alleging these sonic booms are causing damages to their.
- 2:03:34Speaker 6: Homes also the launches and the rumbling of the. Ground
- 2:03:37Speaker 6: also the rumbling of the.
- 2:03:40Speaker 25: Ground now WHEN i, SO i was recently in this
- 2:03:45Speaker 25: part of Southeast, texas and so there are. COMMUNITIES i
- 2:03:49Speaker 25: mean it almost it almost looks like it's like A.
- 2:03:53Speaker 25: SpaceX you, know neighborhood everybody has a cyber truck or
- 2:03:57Speaker 25: one of The tesla model xes every and, then you,
- 2:04:02Speaker 25: know but there's these all these neighborhoods that lead down
- 2:04:04Speaker 25: to where the launch facility, is and they're complaining about
- 2:04:09Speaker 25: lots of issues with their properties and they're filing right
- 2:04:14Speaker 25: now they haven't certified as a class. Action but when
- 2:04:17Speaker 25: you see multiple lawsuits like, this the terminology is called. Numerosity,
- 2:04:22Speaker 25: right you see a bunch of plainetfs with similar damages
- 2:04:26Speaker 25: from the similar, cause it is usually the sign of
- 2:04:29Speaker 25: an early class action. Lawsuit lawyers just start posting ads and, saying,
- 2:04:33Speaker 25: hey you two might be affected by, This come give
- 2:04:35Speaker 25: us a.
- 2:04:36Speaker 5: Call And i've seen that. Before we've seen those ads.
- 2:04:38Speaker 5: Before and it's so funny that you mentioned, that because
- 2:04:40Speaker 5: In february of this, year we actually read a story
- 2:04:42Speaker 5: that The Cape canaveral and the surrounding areas are dealing
- 2:04:45Speaker 5: with the exact same. Thing the unique part of This
- 2:04:48Speaker 5: Cape canaveral story that differs from The houston story is
- 2:04:51Speaker 5: is that At Cape, canaveral it's city leaders over there
- 2:04:53Speaker 5: wondering if thin can create like a slush fund with
- 2:04:56Speaker 5: state and federal grants that in case some of these.
- 2:04:59Speaker 5: Launches we have more coming out Of Cape caravel than.
- 2:05:01Speaker 5: ANYWHERE i mean, sure sometimes to a day and they're
- 2:05:03Speaker 5: worried about the same. Thing matter of, fact there are
- 2:05:05Speaker 5: a couple of people, already the women that have already
- 2:05:08Speaker 5: come out and said that, look, man you, know this
- 2:05:10Speaker 5: is causing my house to, Shake it's causing me to knee,
- 2:05:12Speaker 5: repairs foundation. Issues when you start cracking, slabs you start
- 2:05:17Speaker 5: having water. Issues maybe these are tens of thousands of
- 2:05:20Speaker 5: dollars these, repairs and they don't feel that they should
- 2:05:22Speaker 5: have to pay for that because they moved in long
- 2:05:25Speaker 5: before the launch pad was there and they feel they
- 2:05:28Speaker 5: should not have to deal with. This and it's weird
- 2:05:30Speaker 5: that the city is creating.
- 2:05:32Speaker 4: That and the one THING i wanted to ask you about,
- 2:05:33Speaker 4: This rae is you mentioned the class action. Thing we
- 2:05:36Speaker 4: hear that all the, Time like almost every day there's
- 2:05:39Speaker 4: a suit about a class matter of, fact there's one
- 2:05:40Speaker 4: today or the other. DAY i Told jack About it's
- 2:05:42Speaker 4: like if you have a city, card you, know they
- 2:05:44Speaker 4: just settle a class action lawsuit they have to distribute
- 2:05:46Speaker 4: like you, know twenty four million dollars or. Something and
- 2:05:49Speaker 4: you hear about that all the. Time how does that?
- 2:05:51Speaker 4: Begin like how do people who have a collective problem like,
- 2:05:55Speaker 4: that like a, neighborhood how would they get together and,
- 2:05:57Speaker 4: say you know, what we need to get an attorney
- 2:05:59Speaker 4: on this is everybody in on it type? Thing is
- 2:06:01Speaker 4: that what happens like a.
- 2:06:02Speaker 25: Petition, honestly a lot of times it's the, lawyers and you,
- 2:06:06Speaker 25: know say all kinds of good things and bad things about,
- 2:06:08Speaker 25: lawyers but you, Know i've actually Been WHEN i was
- 2:06:12Speaker 25: very young in my, CAREER i had the opportunity to
- 2:06:14Speaker 25: be at the very beginning of a class action, lawsuit
- 2:06:17Speaker 25: and so we had a plaint of coming in AND
- 2:06:18Speaker 25: i don't really want we we had a confidential settlement
- 2:06:20Speaker 25: for the class and SO i don't want to talk
- 2:06:23Speaker 25: too much about the specific, details but conceptually, speaking the
- 2:06:26Speaker 25: person came to. Me nobody thought it was a. Lawsuit
- 2:06:28Speaker 25: she had talked to ten lawyers in, town all the big,
- 2:06:30Speaker 25: names all the big, billboards AND i, said this is
- 2:06:33Speaker 25: interesting to. ME i think that there's something. Here so
- 2:06:35Speaker 25: we sat. Down we probably twelve hours of going through the,
- 2:06:41Speaker 25: story the back from, everybody absolutely just making sure that
- 2:06:46Speaker 25: the story made. Sense and so we ended up filing
- 2:06:49Speaker 25: our own individual lawsuit with those, facts and in doing,
- 2:06:54Speaker 25: that we had another person reach out to us and
- 2:06:57Speaker 25: said we had a very similar experience with a very
- 2:06:59Speaker 25: similar person, sure and that they wanted to know IF
- 2:07:04Speaker 25: i could represent. Them and you, know as we got
- 2:07:08Speaker 25: involved and more and more people came to. Us we
- 2:07:11Speaker 25: started to, See, okay there's some very common themes that
- 2:07:15Speaker 25: are going. On similar things are being, said some similar
- 2:07:18Speaker 25: things are being, done similar damages.
- 2:07:20Speaker 5: And end results experiences were similar enough where you could
- 2:07:23Speaker 5: kind of wrap it up under one.
- 2:07:24Speaker 6: Umbrella that's.
- 2:07:25Speaker 25: Right and so we ended up running an advertising campaign
- 2:07:28Speaker 25: to say you may have been impacted AND i don't.
- 2:07:31Speaker 25: Know so once it went to class, action kind of
- 2:07:34Speaker 25: left my. HANDS i was a baby. Lawyer they were
- 2:07:35Speaker 25: not gonna let me run with this. Thing BUT i
- 2:07:38Speaker 25: think we had up to like one hundred and fourteen
- 2:07:40Speaker 25: plaintiffs that joined our class action. Lawsuit and is there.
- 2:07:46Speaker 4: A number that determines that word being used or does
- 2:07:49Speaker 4: that is that just a term do say where a
- 2:07:51Speaker 4: bunch of people have the same. Issue is it, ten
- 2:07:54Speaker 4: is it? Fifteen is it? Four is it one?
- 2:07:55Speaker 6: HUNDRED i think probably fifty to seventy five is.
- 2:07:58Speaker 25: Pretty common when you start paying. Tension it's probably pretty
- 2:08:01Speaker 25: common because part of, it too is judicial. Economy right
- 2:08:05Speaker 25: to have fifty trials of the exact same trial with
- 2:08:08Speaker 25: the exact same, issues that becomes a drain on the legal.
- 2:08:11Speaker 25: System you have one, trial you need one plaint if
- 2:08:14Speaker 25: to be kind of the the face person of the.
- 2:08:17Speaker 25: Lawsuit you know In roe. V wade we had that Right.
- 2:08:22Speaker 5: Aaron against type.
- 2:08:24Speaker 6: Thing that's.
- 2:08:25Speaker 25: Right you just need one person to kind of be
- 2:08:27Speaker 25: the face of the, lawsuit and then all the other
- 2:08:30Speaker 25: plainiffs sign off and say that we're you, know we
- 2:08:33Speaker 25: agree that we're going to follow. Whatever the outcome is
- 2:08:35Speaker 25: usually an opt out, period so people can, say, OH
- 2:08:37Speaker 25: i want to do my own lawsuit IF i want,
- 2:08:39Speaker 25: To but.
- 2:08:39Speaker 4: Does the judge have any say in? That or is
- 2:08:41Speaker 4: that something where you have to go to the judge and, say, hey, judge,
- 2:08:43Speaker 4: look we have one hundred and fourteen. Cases they're similar
- 2:08:45Speaker 4: enough that we think this is a class. Action do
- 2:08:47Speaker 4: you have to get permission from the.
- 2:08:49Speaker 25: Court, yeah that that's a sore subject for me on
- 2:08:51Speaker 25: this because that's when that's WHEN i got pushed. Out
- 2:08:55Speaker 25: so you actually do have to go in front of
- 2:08:56Speaker 25: the judge really and get certified as a class.
- 2:08:58Speaker 5: Action is that an argument as if you're pitching a
- 2:09:01Speaker 5: case as, well like you really have to convince this
- 2:09:03Speaker 5: guy to take these cases because of the power of
- 2:09:07Speaker 5: the fact that one decision is gonna affect so many.
- 2:09:08Speaker 25: People that's. Right it's exactly because for the. Lawyer it
- 2:09:12Speaker 25: becomes sometimes a windfall for the. Lawyer NOW i didn't
- 2:09:15Speaker 25: do this case all by. Myself we brought it into
- 2:09:17Speaker 25: the lawyer and law firm to handle the case with
- 2:09:19Speaker 25: us who had some experience doing class. Actions but, yeah
- 2:09:24Speaker 25: you have to really pitch it to them that this
- 2:09:25Speaker 25: is something that is not only good for the judiciary
- 2:09:29Speaker 25: and judicial, economy but also for the Class and so it,
- 2:09:34Speaker 25: becomes like you, said kind of like a, pitch so to. Speak,
- 2:09:37Speaker 25: now a lot of times you can sell it to
- 2:09:39Speaker 25: the judge is, saying, hey, judge you could hear this
- 2:09:41Speaker 25: case fifty times over the course of fifty weeks or
- 2:09:45Speaker 25: one time of the course of one, week and usually that's.
- 2:09:48Speaker 4: Enough but, yeah because the dockets In florida already slammed
- 2:09:50Speaker 4: as it, is, RIGHT i, mean every single circuit court
- 2:09:54Speaker 4: in The florida is a month, behind if not.
- 2:09:56Speaker 25: More but what makes this, interesting you, know specifically with
- 2:10:00Speaker 25: respect to the space, launches is the damages might be
- 2:10:04Speaker 25: a little bit. Different you, know it might be you,
- 2:10:07Speaker 25: know cracked. Foundations for some, people it might be one
- 2:10:09Speaker 25: busted windows or a busted. Window and so when your
- 2:10:14Speaker 25: damages start to kind of spread out and Like spiderweb
- 2:10:18Speaker 25: a little bit. Out sometimes it becomes harder for a
- 2:10:20Speaker 25: judge because it might be like there might be a
- 2:10:22Speaker 25: different cause and, effect.
- 2:10:24Speaker 4: But is there a is there a case manager that
- 2:10:27Speaker 4: divvy's that? Out like does the judge or the law firm,
- 2:10:30Speaker 4: say we're assigning this particular associate to be the case
- 2:10:32Speaker 4: manager so that when the when the when the decision
- 2:10:37Speaker 4: comes down and the judge, says, yes these people are
- 2:10:39Speaker 4: liable for, That i'm going to award ten million dollars.
- 2:10:42Speaker 6: For everybody was.
- 2:10:43Speaker 4: Affected you will have a case manager within the firm
- 2:10:45Speaker 4: that will divvy that money out case by case as
- 2:10:48Speaker 4: each person pitches their.
- 2:10:49Speaker 6: Needs SO i change it a little.
- 2:10:51Speaker 25: Bit instead of case, manager you might have a, subclass,
- 2:10:54Speaker 25: right you might have a subclass within the big class
- 2:10:57Speaker 25: of like these are all people whose windows got. Cracked
- 2:10:59Speaker 25: these are people who's you, know foundation got super.
- 2:11:02Speaker 5: Interesting but over in The Cape canaveral are looking at it.
- 2:11:04Speaker 5: Different it's not like a. Lawsuit it's like the city
- 2:11:07Speaker 5: is assuming the responsibility of that. RIGHT i, mean it's
- 2:11:09Speaker 5: kind of wild That i've never heard of anything like.
- 2:11:11Speaker 5: This is a private companies doing business ON nasa federal.
- 2:11:15Speaker 5: Property and possibly causing damage to homes around. There like
- 2:11:19Speaker 5: where do you even start with?
- 2:11:20Speaker 4: That, LIKE i mean people In Marion island are probably
- 2:11:22Speaker 4: like glued Over Cape, canaveral glued to the radio right,
- 2:11:24Speaker 4: now going, yeah how is that gonna?
- 2:11:26Speaker 25: Happen, well and it may not completely eliminate the possibility
- 2:11:31Speaker 25: of a, lawsuit right. Gotcha you know a little bit
- 2:11:35Speaker 25: of a difference is you, know when we HAD, NASA
- 2:11:38Speaker 25: nasa was the only person shooting off. Rockets it was
- 2:11:41Speaker 25: one rocket EVERY i don't, know ye, What, Yeah and
- 2:11:46Speaker 25: it's the cycle which they're shooting these things, off WHICH
- 2:11:49Speaker 25: i think has really changed the complexion of the damages
- 2:11:52Speaker 25: that people are. Sustaining and so you, know.
- 2:11:55Speaker 4: And really we have yet to see the environment environmental
- 2:11:57Speaker 4: impact of this either with all of the rocket the
- 2:12:00Speaker 4: fuels and the chemicals being used that as their burning
- 2:12:03Speaker 4: will eventually settle back down into the waterways and onto
- 2:12:06Speaker 4: the residents and the flora of the.
- 2:12:09Speaker 6: Area yeah, yeah. Yeah and then's a wildlife. Refuge, yeah,
- 2:12:14Speaker 6: yeah you're. Right i've been at that wildlife. Refuge it's
- 2:12:17Speaker 6: got a lot of.
- 2:12:17Speaker 5: Animals oh, yeah that's that eagles nests that you get
- 2:12:19Speaker 5: to see all The times the size of a.
- 2:12:21Speaker 6: Sofa, man those eagles are. Awesome, yeah. Unbelievable but, yeah
- 2:12:26Speaker 6: well that's.
- 2:12:26Speaker 25: INTERESTING i do think it'll be interesting because that's a
- 2:12:28Speaker 25: little bit more of like it's more like an impact.
- 2:12:30Speaker 25: Issue yeah, right like you, know the city's impacted by
- 2:12:33Speaker 25: the uh the launches as opposed to individual.
- 2:12:37Speaker 6: Houses. Yeah, so and again that's. Story it was In.
- 2:12:39Speaker 4: FEBRUARY i, mean we're gonna eventually hear more about that
- 2:12:41Speaker 4: as as the city kind of does. That and there
- 2:12:43Speaker 4: was another thing you sent this MORNING i did want
- 2:12:45Speaker 4: to talk about because it's in the gaming, world because
- 2:12:48Speaker 4: you know anything about The sony, settlement, guys for, GAMERS.
- 2:12:52Speaker 5: I know something that a huge change just. Happened And
- 2:12:56Speaker 5: i'm quoting the internet here AND i glossed by, it
- 2:12:59Speaker 5: But i'm pretty pretty sure it has something to do
- 2:13:01Speaker 5: with the digital sale of video games and how they
- 2:13:05Speaker 5: basically redefine the word.
- 2:13:07Speaker 25: Buy, yeah SO i was thinking About ross WHEN i
- 2:13:11Speaker 25: saw this. Story, actually, Sorry, jack but you KNOW i
- 2:13:14Speaker 25: Think ross WHEN i think of video.
- 2:13:15Speaker 6: Games that's, Fine i'm good for, That.
- 2:13:19Speaker 25: But so conceptually you're spot On. Ross so the idea
- 2:13:24Speaker 25: is there's usually two ways that you can buy, games
- 2:13:26Speaker 25: and NOW i think more often than that it's the
- 2:13:29Speaker 25: digital way as opposed to like a buying A.
- 2:13:30Speaker 5: Cd or downloading instead of walking into a.
- 2:13:32Speaker 25: Store, Right and so what the lawsuit was about was
- 2:13:37Speaker 25: basically an anti trust type. Lawsuit basically the PlayStation In
- 2:13:41Speaker 25: sony had created a monopoly over how you could buy
- 2:13:44Speaker 25: these digital. Downloads so you, know for your phone or,
- 2:13:49Speaker 25: whatever you want to Download Candy. CRUSH i don't know
- 2:13:52Speaker 25: if that's still game, anymore but you have like options
- 2:13:54Speaker 25: on where you can download it. From AND i don't
- 2:13:56Speaker 25: know if it's paid, for but. Whatever when you're buying
- 2:13:58Speaker 25: A sony PlayStation game for a digital, download you had
- 2:14:01Speaker 25: to go through The Sony PlayStation store AND i don't
- 2:14:04Speaker 25: know exactly what the store is, called but their. PlayStations
- 2:14:06Speaker 25: i think it's STORE ps. Store and so the problem
- 2:14:11Speaker 25: was is nobody else had access to be able to sell.
- 2:14:14Speaker 25: That so you couldn't go to game stop and buy
- 2:14:16Speaker 25: these digital. Downloads you couldn't go To amazon by these
- 2:14:19Speaker 25: digital Download it's very.
- 2:14:21Speaker 6: Similar it's very.
- 2:14:23Speaker 25: Similar and that's actually where my mind WHEN i first
- 2:14:26Speaker 25: read it, was you, know when you've got a license
- 2:14:28Speaker 25: and you can grant the limited. License but you know
- 2:14:31Speaker 25: the problem is is these games are almost solely run
- 2:14:35Speaker 25: out of these these platforms and these, applications and so
- 2:14:38Speaker 25: the court came down and they ended up being a
- 2:14:40Speaker 25: fairly large settlement where as a as an anti trust
- 2:14:44Speaker 25: violation that people who have been using The Sony, store you,
- 2:14:47Speaker 25: know because there's not an open market for these, things
- 2:14:50Speaker 25: the prices stay are officially, high and people are gonna
- 2:14:53Speaker 25: be entitled to money.
- 2:14:55Speaker 5: Back, wow like all of their, purchases a portion of their.
- 2:14:58Speaker 5: PURCHASES i think there digital. Purchases, Yeah i'm sure you
- 2:15:01Speaker 5: have to have receipts over a period of. Time and
- 2:15:03Speaker 5: then other news today like Game stop didn't Game stop
- 2:15:06Speaker 5: just make a pitch For eBay for fifty five billion?
- 2:15:08Speaker 25: DOLLARS i did see something about Game stop, today BUT
- 2:15:10Speaker 25: i didn't see what exactly what the story.
- 2:15:12Speaker 5: WAS i thought that was a mean coin just what
- 2:15:14Speaker 5: even like a like a year, ago and now they're
- 2:15:16Speaker 5: making a pitch to buy the biggest online, retailer not
- 2:15:18Speaker 5: the biggest online, retailer the biggest online auction system out.
- 2:15:21Speaker 6: There, yeah that's, wild.
- 2:15:23Speaker 5: Dude WHAT i don't even understand how that can. HAPPEN
- 2:15:26Speaker 5: i don't understand the stock.
- 2:15:27Speaker 25: Market, yeah somebody invested a lot of money and Game,
- 2:15:30Speaker 25: Stop i'm, assuming and now Game stop wants to go
- 2:15:33Speaker 25: buy something.
- 2:15:33Speaker 5: Else, yeah they want to Bouy eBay and actually turn
- 2:15:35Speaker 5: all that into A i read the story. Today they
- 2:15:37Speaker 5: want to kind of Transform eBay into a different kind
- 2:15:40Speaker 5: of retailer to kind of go After amazon because they
- 2:15:43Speaker 5: already have the database for. It, right that's the, thing
- 2:15:45Speaker 5: Because walmart wanted to do this years ago and they
- 2:15:47Speaker 5: were they were two years too, late AND i know
- 2:15:49Speaker 5: internally it eats them.
- 2:15:51Speaker 6: Alive the value is in the.
- 2:15:52Speaker 25: Data, yeah you guys have talked about it for years
- 2:15:54Speaker 25: that if it's something is, free you are you are the,
- 2:15:57Speaker 25: product you. Know and so that's the craziest for all the.
- 2:16:01Speaker 5: Game it says Game stop offers fifty six billion to Buy,
- 2:16:04Speaker 5: eBay and every gamer is, like Game stop ain't got.
- 2:16:07Speaker 5: That we're just about to close six months. Ago that's
- 2:16:12Speaker 5: why we joke bought their.
- 2:16:13Speaker 6: Stock. Exactly what is? Happening my spirit?
- 2:16:17Speaker 5: Airlines Somebody rea, goes we were fun and we were
- 2:16:20Speaker 5: just having some, fun all.
