- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome to another episode of Eating Wall Broke. I'm your host,
- 0:03Speaker 1: Colleen Wit and today we have missed eight Bombs celebrity
- 0:06Speaker 1: tattoo artists from Black Ink Crew Compton season two. Y'all
- 0:11Speaker 1: may know her, and so we're gonna get her to
- 0:13Speaker 1: spell all the tea on how she came from Eating
- 0:16Speaker 1: Wall Broke to tattoo and the most famous celebrities in
- 0:20Speaker 1: the world. We don't gotta spell some juicy tea today too.
- 0:25Speaker 1: We got to right, yes, what do you have us
- 0:27Speaker 1: cooking today? So today I am making baked chicken and rice.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Baked chicken and rice, simple and easy, right, simple and easy,
- 0:36Speaker 1: and chickens like one of the go to favorite things.
- 0:40Speaker 1: And we've never had chicken on the show, so about times.
- 1:06Speaker 1: All right, all right, so what are your ingredients? Okay?
- 1:09Speaker 1: So first we have Lori's can't go wrong without the lorries.
- 1:14Speaker 1: We have onion powder okay, and we have carly powder
- 1:22Speaker 1: and a little Mrs Dash okay, some black pepper, and
- 1:29Speaker 1: some Italian dressing okay. Rice Okay, well you guys, you
- 1:33Speaker 1: probably get started with the rice. Okay, you have an
- 1:36Speaker 1: onion here for all y'alls. We totally forgot about that
- 1:39Speaker 1: you definitely need the onion. So this chicken is not
- 1:42Speaker 1: just baked chicken. This is gonna be super flavorful, tasty chicken.
- 1:45Speaker 1: So if you'all out there and you all don't know
- 1:47Speaker 1: how to season your meat, take some notes. Okay, and
- 1:51Speaker 1: this this takes about an hour and a half to cook.
- 1:53Speaker 1: You set right now. So today she is going to
- 1:56Speaker 1: teach us how to make the dish and then you know,
- 2:00Speaker 1: we're gonna have some magic tricks so we could eat
- 2:02Speaker 1: the dish during this. So go ahead and get started, okay,
- 2:08Speaker 1: and then I will be your assistant. I won't cut onion, okay,
- 2:13Speaker 1: I'll be your little I never do anything on this show.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I'm the lazy person in the kitchen. So how did
- 2:20Speaker 1: you get your start? How did I get my start?
- 2:24Speaker 1: So I started braiding hair at first. You know how
- 2:28Speaker 1: to brave? Yeah, you should have never told me that.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I should have never told me that. Um oh, you're
- 2:34Speaker 1: adding more water, a little more water. And my son's
- 2:38Speaker 1: father I was living with my son's father at the
- 2:41Speaker 1: time and he didn't have the job. So I suggested
- 2:46Speaker 1: that why don't you do the tattoos? And I continue
- 2:49Speaker 1: to break the hair, and um, I got, yeah, use
- 2:55Speaker 1: this for now. We're ghetto, well broke. So I suggested
- 3:05Speaker 1: um that he gets the tattoo machine because he used
- 3:09Speaker 1: to draw as well, and I'll continue to do the hair.
- 3:14Speaker 1: So he let it sit up in the corner for
- 3:16Speaker 1: months and you had the tattoom. We got it and
- 3:20Speaker 1: he let it sit in the house. And he was
- 3:22Speaker 1: an artist kind of he used to drop get him
- 3:27Speaker 1: to get some independence about him, you know, okay, you know,
- 3:32Speaker 1: and um, so we let it sit in the corner
- 3:34Speaker 1: for some months and finally, like one Sunday, I broke
- 3:39Speaker 1: it open and like, let's do some tattoos. So I
- 3:42Speaker 1: drew him up a grenade for his hand, and we
- 3:46Speaker 1: followed all the process and we had the gun up
- 3:50Speaker 1: super loud. I didn't know what the hell we was doing. Uh.
- 3:54Speaker 1: So I'm sitting I'm washing dishes in the kitchen, just
- 3:57Speaker 1: sitting there watching him in the living room doing all
- 4:00Speaker 1: the steps. In time he went to touch his skin,
- 4:04Speaker 1: the machine was up so high like he split the
- 4:07Speaker 1: skin like his first try. Wow. So yeah, I got
- 4:12Speaker 1: the earning powder. I'm gonna season it like that. Bam.
- 4:21Speaker 1: I mean, take care of levelie. And you you're generous
- 4:24Speaker 1: with your seasoning song like I kind of look with
- 4:29Speaker 1: the risk a little risk action there. This one won't
- 4:34Speaker 1: let me get be successful with my wrists, so I
- 4:36Speaker 1: gotta go now. Ironically enough, I saw Mrs Dash on
- 4:41Speaker 1: your list and I said, I don't know if I
- 4:43Speaker 1: should admit this, but what it's like, I don't think
- 4:46Speaker 1: I've ever used Mrs Dash. Mrs Dash, I like it
- 4:49Speaker 1: a lot, so I'm excited to try it because I
- 4:52Speaker 1: tried not to use a lot of sawt am I
- 4:54Speaker 1: in my food. I usually usually because my mom I
- 4:58Speaker 1: watched her use it and its subs it a lot
- 5:02Speaker 1: of things. But it's very flavorful as well. So we're
- 5:07Speaker 1: gonna use this pepper. Do you like your onions cut thin? Er? Um? Actually?
- 5:13Speaker 1: I like them circles, So if you is too, did
- 5:16Speaker 1: I cut it wrong? I mean it's okay. We can
- 5:19Speaker 1: still break it up. That's fine. You can still couldn't
- 5:22Speaker 1: like that. We can make it work. That's what happens
- 5:26Speaker 1: when you don't ask first. Okay, but you like it
- 5:29Speaker 1: then yes, okay, but yes, I'll put a generous amount
- 5:33Speaker 1: of season on top because I am going to toss
- 5:36Speaker 1: these and round okay and did I do this? Okay,
- 5:46Speaker 1: so your men out there that I'm not gonna judge
- 5:49Speaker 1: you on man and women that don't cook often, I
- 5:52Speaker 1: feel just looking at this and the amount of season
- 5:55Speaker 1: name like you can really impress somebody and pretend like
- 5:57Speaker 1: you knew how to cook. And this is all a
- 6:00Speaker 1: pfordable because it's on the Eating Wall Broke show. Yes, yes,
- 6:04Speaker 1: are we cutting a hole onion? Or um? You can?
- 6:07Speaker 1: The more, the more the better? Really okay, I love
- 6:10Speaker 1: a lot of onion, as as the flavor too. I'm
- 6:12Speaker 1: gonna add a little more. Trying not to cry. I
- 6:15Speaker 1: just saw an episode of The Kardashians and Kylie Jenner's
- 6:18Speaker 1: struggled cutting a cucumber, and right now I feel like
- 6:23Speaker 1: I feel the pressure now I can understand why she
- 6:26Speaker 1: was like, cameras, don't loom in on me cutting this
- 6:28Speaker 1: can be be careful. You're stronger than me. I can't
- 6:30Speaker 1: stand cups to It's like that that should be okay enough,
- 6:33Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. Shout out to my parents
- 6:35Speaker 1: that woop my ass? Enough? Were not even onions make
- 6:38Speaker 1: me cry? So your husband splits, your your your baby's
- 6:46Speaker 1: father splits. I don't want to she she may still
- 6:49Speaker 1: be thinking on y'all. Um, he splits his hand. Yeah,
- 6:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna quit the onion gang right here. I continue
- 6:56Speaker 1: to do this tattoo and the outcome turned out great.
- 7:05Speaker 1: I showed my cousins the next day. They told me
- 7:07Speaker 1: you didn't do that. So I said, y'all got me
- 7:10Speaker 1: fucked up. I didn't do this, And I brought my
- 7:13Speaker 1: tattoo machine over there and said let's get to work.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Uh huh. And then not too long after, I just
- 7:19Speaker 1: like pretty much became self taught. Then, um mess someone
- 7:23Speaker 1: around the Crenshaw Slawson area of messing one around the
- 7:28Speaker 1: Crenshaw and Slawson area, and um, basically that's how I
- 7:32Speaker 1: got introduced to Nick passing out my business cards in
- 7:37Speaker 1: the parking lot. I want to turn live down, yea,
- 7:42Speaker 1: all the way down. And one of his friends said, no,
- 7:45Speaker 1: you don't do tattoos. I said, yes, I do. Like
- 7:48Speaker 1: I'm my ship in the trunk right now and like that.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Oh yeah, So I introduced myself to Black Sam and
- 7:55Speaker 1: already made nip previous before before that, A lot of them. Yeah,
- 8:03Speaker 1: and um, I tattooed right there that day. And I
- 8:06Speaker 1: don't saw some teas and basically I never left. Wow.
- 8:11Speaker 1: So did you get to tattoo nips? Yes, yes, I
- 8:14Speaker 1: tattooed his brother first stuff. Oh he was like we're
- 8:17Speaker 1: gonna here, That's what it seemed like. So what tattoo
- 8:22Speaker 1: on nips did you do? Did the famous marathon flags? Yeah?
- 8:28Speaker 1: And I did the chain on his chest, um, the
- 8:31Speaker 1: little dollar sign under that and the said marathon right
- 8:35Speaker 1: under that. I did that. Yeah. So when you did
- 8:39Speaker 1: nipsies tattoo, like, where what stage was he added in
- 8:42Speaker 1: his career when you did it? It was right before
- 8:45Speaker 1: the marathon came out. So I was in the studio
- 8:47Speaker 1: listened to all the stuff that that's on the marathon
- 8:51Speaker 1: pretty much because and what were you thinking like your
- 8:55Speaker 1: tattoo and like do you feel like, oh, this guy
- 8:58Speaker 1: is gonna be the future icon and like, oh man,
- 9:00Speaker 1: I'm tattooed. Like I just felt like because I was
- 9:03Speaker 1: around so much homie you know what. You know what
- 9:06Speaker 1: I'm saying, So it was like it was I was
- 9:09Speaker 1: comfortable talking ship in the studio every day, smoking just
- 9:14Speaker 1: vibes and listening to great music and sometimes I even
- 9:17Speaker 1: got on a couple of songs. So what yeah, not
- 9:21Speaker 1: on never but with with the slots and boys and
- 9:23Speaker 1: stuff like that. Yeah, yeah, so yeah, this is this
- 9:28Speaker 1: is so essentially all the Italian dressing up in there.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Yeah it juice nice and go yeah juicy. And you
- 9:36Speaker 1: want that chicken to be nice and tender when you
- 9:39Speaker 1: pull it out, so you put all the seasoning on it.
- 9:41Speaker 1: You coated it very well. Then you put the Italian
- 9:43Speaker 1: dressing on. She puts so much onions on here. If
- 9:47Speaker 1: you do not like onions, you may have to go
- 9:50Speaker 1: a little lighter. But I'm curious to see how this
- 9:52Speaker 1: bad boy tastes. And I think you had onion powder
- 9:54Speaker 1: in this not yes, a little bit. So you're gonna
- 9:58Speaker 1: put the foil on it and bake it, yes what
- 10:01Speaker 1: at what at three fifty for an hour and a
- 10:04Speaker 1: half but okay, y'all, and then you can take it
- 10:06Speaker 1: out before that half an hour to let it brown
- 10:09Speaker 1: on top o me, I got it, got it. When
- 10:13Speaker 1: you're gonna stick the chicken in the oven, we're gonna
- 10:16Speaker 1: go shoot the commercials. Make sure that we got you
- 10:20Speaker 1: cooked ones prepared. Okay, all right, all right, So you're
- 10:24Speaker 1: you were recording with the Slawson Boys. You say I
- 10:29Speaker 1: did a couple of fun stuff with you just playing
- 10:31Speaker 1: around in the studio. So you're Braiden, you tattoo and
- 10:34Speaker 1: you're a multiverse, you're a hustler. Yeah, you just you're
- 10:37Speaker 1: just like, yes, okay, perfect. Now do you have any good, juicy,
- 10:42Speaker 1: golden stories about it that no one's ever heard? Mm hmmm, probably?
- 10:48Speaker 1: Um the back story behind those flags? Um tattooed him
- 10:52Speaker 1: in his studio. I didn't have a tattoo bed at
- 10:55Speaker 1: the time, and um, we just basically just did it
- 10:59Speaker 1: on the bear floor. Really uh huh. He stuffed his
- 11:03Speaker 1: duffel bag with shirts or whatever he had and put
- 11:08Speaker 1: that under his neck and that's how I got to
- 11:10Speaker 1: do those flags right there. Now, was I had to ask?
- 11:15Speaker 1: What was Nipsey like loaded back then? Or was he
- 11:18Speaker 1: like how we are today kind of like loaded? How
- 11:21Speaker 1: like like with money wise? Money wise? I mean he
- 11:24Speaker 1: was always yeah, he was always on the ship, but
- 11:26Speaker 1: he was clearly humble because he back on the floor tattoo. Yes, yes, okay, perfect.
- 11:34Speaker 1: So at this point you're doing tattoos, are you still
- 11:38Speaker 1: doing braiding or you know? I dropped it immediately. Wow,
- 11:41Speaker 1: So there's no chance of me ever getting my hair
- 11:43Speaker 1: braided body. I got somebody for you. I got somebody
- 11:46Speaker 1: for you. Okay, well let's try these wings and tell
- 11:50Speaker 1: me like, how now after you got your your start,
- 11:55Speaker 1: your tattooing people like Nipsey and Crew, Um, how did
- 12:00Speaker 1: you make your way from that all the way to
- 12:03Speaker 1: like Black and Crew. Um. I just never gave up.
- 12:07Speaker 1: I just kept going. And when people told me that
- 12:10Speaker 1: I couldn't, I just never stopped. And I just kept going,
- 12:13Speaker 1: like I said, like, it was no stopping me. I
- 12:16Speaker 1: know what I wanted, I know where I wanted to go,
- 12:20Speaker 1: I know where I wanted to take it, and now
- 12:23Speaker 1: I'm here. So yeah, yeah, Now you came from being broke,
- 12:30Speaker 1: right essentially, because that's how we have this beautiful baked
- 12:32Speaker 1: chicken that, by the way, I would love to be
- 12:34Speaker 1: broken one day. If I haven't end up broken, I'm
- 12:38Speaker 1: hauling at you. Okay. Um, So you came from that
- 12:43Speaker 1: and then you're doing breaks. Like what were you going
- 12:45Speaker 1: through at the time when you were like, um man,
- 12:48Speaker 1: I was nineteen years old. Um, I had my my
- 12:52Speaker 1: son's father in the house, but he was lazy and
- 12:54Speaker 1: didn't do anything. Not trying to throw somebody under the bus,
- 12:57Speaker 1: but that's what it was like. Wasn't contributing like financially
- 13:01Speaker 1: financially yet and you were nineteen and you were you
- 13:06Speaker 1: like stay at home mom or was there like a daycare? What? No,
- 13:09Speaker 1: I was working like three drives at the time. I
- 13:12Speaker 1: was working FedEx Victoria's Secret in the gap and all
- 13:15Speaker 1: of them was part time. And and then you were
- 13:17Speaker 1: also doing braidser at this time, and I was also
- 13:20Speaker 1: doing braids on the side. And then how were you
- 13:22Speaker 1: taking care of the baby when I was home whenever
- 13:26Speaker 1: I could? Wow? So you had it rough? Yeah, he
- 13:30Speaker 1: had a real ron Huh. And then now look at
- 13:32Speaker 1: you fast forward. That's crazy. So what are your friends
- 13:36Speaker 1: and everybody say they're proud of me? I love the motivation.
- 13:41Speaker 1: My cousin caused me to tell me he proud of me,
- 13:44Speaker 1: to keep me, you know, humble and yeah. Yeah. What
- 13:48Speaker 1: would you say, was like the hardest point like in
- 13:52Speaker 1: your career to like date, Like, what was like the
- 13:54Speaker 1: hardest most trying time, the hardest most trying time. Uh?
- 14:01Speaker 1: Probably that that factor that my son, I know, he
- 14:05Speaker 1: needed me. Um, I know, I like I couldn't stop.
- 14:09Speaker 1: I noted that I had had to feed somebody at
- 14:12Speaker 1: the end of the day. Yeah, and I had this
- 14:14Speaker 1: little one counting on me, So that's what kept my
- 14:17Speaker 1: motivation going. Yeah, it's my little one. Wow, that's a
- 14:22Speaker 1: lot of pressure. I'm just a new mom, and I'd
- 14:25Speaker 1: be like, oh, the other side of life that I
- 14:28Speaker 1: didn't know existed, Like I heard mom's okay, mom's mom's whatever.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Well it's not whatever. But then you live and you're like,
- 14:33Speaker 1: oh snap, it's like you turn into like it's like
- 14:37Speaker 1: this extra consciousnes is on your brain and it's like
- 14:39Speaker 1: an extra pressure and you think, like for for lack
- 14:44Speaker 1: of I mean, it sounds crazy, but you do a
- 14:45Speaker 1: thing for two right, but it's a different feeling, yes, pressure,
- 14:49Speaker 1: and you were asking for help. You were just like, well,
- 14:52Speaker 1: if you ain't gonna no friend's baby daddy, we're not
- 14:54Speaker 1: justing you. But if you ain't stepping over for days,
- 14:57Speaker 1: shut will exactly. So that's what I had to let's
- 15:00Speaker 1: take that extra step. And you were creative with your
- 15:02Speaker 1: meals too. Yeah. Yeah, So what was the point where
- 15:06Speaker 1: you were like, I think I made it, I think
- 15:07Speaker 1: I'm I'm I'm cool. I'm still not there, really, Yeah,
- 15:13Speaker 1: I have so many goals that I want to accomplish,
- 15:16Speaker 1: I'll probably never sit right with me. Yeah. Well, I
- 15:19Speaker 1: noticed a lot of people on this show that are
- 15:21Speaker 1: very successful say the same thing, like you don't want
- 15:23Speaker 1: you one like the next one in the next one,
- 15:25Speaker 1: you know, is always like you know, it's never gonna stop.
- 15:29Speaker 1: And I see that. Even within my own house. My
- 15:32Speaker 1: husband will be like, it's you just be putting the
- 15:35Speaker 1: the stuff there. Yeah, it's like you you accomplished one thing,
- 15:39Speaker 1: so now it's that next tier. You just gotta keep going,
- 15:42Speaker 1: like Okay, I did this, Now let's do this. Yeah,
- 15:46Speaker 1: but what point in your career where you were like, Okay,
- 15:50Speaker 1: I'm I'm treading. I'm treading well even if I know,
- 15:53Speaker 1: probably when um Nipsey put that first tweet out there
- 15:56Speaker 1: about me, everybody was like, Okay, now I'm seeing the
- 16:01Speaker 1: steady income flow, like I'm non stop busy. And then
- 16:05Speaker 1: and how are they hitting you? They're just hitting you
- 16:08Speaker 1: emails everything, And then, unfortunately it was a gift and accurse.
- 16:12Speaker 1: When he passed, it really took off, especially when people
- 16:16Speaker 1: found out I did those flags. Oh my god, flying
- 16:19Speaker 1: from Toronto everywhere. It was Yeah, it was like wow.
- 16:24Speaker 1: So that was like the I would call it like
- 16:27Speaker 1: the tipping point, no okay, and then seeing all those
- 16:31Speaker 1: murals too, and everybody has to do those flags every
- 16:34Speaker 1: time they paying this point you designed it. Now flags
- 16:39Speaker 1: right here? What are these? Those are the same flags.
- 16:45Speaker 1: And I saw something that you guys can't see on camera.
- 16:48Speaker 1: But I've never seen this before, and I think it's
- 16:50Speaker 1: super fly. And if I had some real kahunas and
- 16:54Speaker 1: wasn't a weekly when it came to Paign, I would
- 16:56Speaker 1: do it. But yo, you have tads on your ears,
- 16:59Speaker 1: but they're not in her ear. They're not like the
- 17:02Speaker 1: traditional they're literally on the I don't know what you
- 17:05Speaker 1: call this, the potter cartlet Carles. That is the flies
- 17:09Speaker 1: thing I've ever seen. I don't know anybody that has it,
- 17:12Speaker 1: do you. Yeah, I know a couple of people. I
- 17:14Speaker 1: don't see too many people though. That's fly. What does
- 17:17Speaker 1: it say? It's it's my zip code three or three
- 17:20Speaker 1: from Inglewood. I feel like, Yeah, l A holds hard
- 17:23Speaker 1: for their cities like Inglewood, crunch y'all, Like they don't move. Yeah,
- 17:27Speaker 1: you can't tell an ingle A person from l A.
- 17:30Speaker 1: It's like, so there's no gentrification in your blood, not
- 17:35Speaker 1: even a with the situation that happened to Nipsey. It
- 17:39Speaker 1: was still like mad respect even though he got murdered
- 17:43Speaker 1: in his own hood. Yeah, most definitely. Um, the love
- 17:47Speaker 1: is still there. You just gotta watch out for you know, yeah,
- 17:50Speaker 1: for I guess cloud Chasers. Yeah, that's essentially I think
- 17:54Speaker 1: what it was, right pretty much. Yeah. I can't wait
- 17:57Speaker 1: to try this because it smells so good. So the
- 18:00Speaker 1: Black and Crew, how is that different from like your
- 18:03Speaker 1: everyday life? Like, what is it like? Um, it's different
- 18:06Speaker 1: because I'm used to be a solo artist and not
- 18:09Speaker 1: usually working around other people. Um, it's interesting getting to
- 18:15Speaker 1: know the different attitudes and how people work. And so
- 18:19Speaker 1: do they put you guys in a room and they're
- 18:21Speaker 1: like papers it, like we're gonna talk about this drama
- 18:25Speaker 1: right now right there? Yeah, Yeah, that's hard. You have
- 18:30Speaker 1: to feed off of. Okay, So they might tell you
- 18:34Speaker 1: something about me and I don't know it, and you
- 18:37Speaker 1: might say it on camera and it's on me too.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Off my reaction and how I'm gonna react to what
- 18:42Speaker 1: you said. Do they give you bonuses if you pump somebody? No,
- 18:45Speaker 1: they take they take your check, They take your check,
- 18:48Speaker 1: they take your check, or you get kicked off or
- 18:52Speaker 1: yeah pretty much. How come on those shows, I'll see
- 18:54Speaker 1: people swing and they don't. They don't as long as
- 18:57Speaker 1: they don't touch pretty much. So they'd be like, puld
- 19:00Speaker 1: me back, hold me back, and then they'd be like, yeah,
- 19:03Speaker 1: you know you ain't gonna come pretty much. Yeah. Oh
- 19:09Speaker 1: so I'll start a fight on that so all day like, yeah,
- 19:12Speaker 1: but you might lose your check. So but even in
- 19:15Speaker 1: SKA will lose the check. I mean, they as long
- 19:18Speaker 1: as you you're if you're defending yourself, you're okay. Yeah, yeah, dang, okay,
- 19:25Speaker 1: So is there uh did you have any like uh
- 19:28Speaker 1: incidents yet? Yeah? Not yet. Do you have any crusos
- 19:31Speaker 1: on anybody? Hopefully y'all done? No, unfortunately, okay, okay, no,
- 19:38Speaker 1: but I'm dating right now, so yeah, okay, okay, I see,
- 19:43Speaker 1: I see, keep it saying I get it when the
- 19:47Speaker 1: reporters um, all right, let's try this dish, please dig in.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Do I have to wait for the rice? I mean,
- 19:55Speaker 1: you don't have to if you want to, you want to.
- 19:58Speaker 1: You know what, I got a little birdie in the
- 20:00Speaker 1: air saying, please show the chicken to the cameras. Please
- 20:03Speaker 1: check out how glazed and check it out caramelized that this. Now,
- 20:10Speaker 1: do you want to get a zoom into me eating it?
- 20:12Speaker 1: Because I'm gonna try it. It might just slide off
- 20:14Speaker 1: the bone. Oh my, is it good? Is it fired?
- 20:19Speaker 1: Is it fired? That's like I will say, I'm eating
- 20:23Speaker 1: all broke. Not all the dishes be hitting in the
- 20:26Speaker 1: seasoning department. And I started to be like, I'm gonna
- 20:30Speaker 1: start saying something, but I feel like when the guests
- 20:34Speaker 1: is like washing you eat, You're like ship. I don't
- 20:37Speaker 1: want to tell them they need to put more salt.
- 20:39Speaker 1: But you know what, though, I will say that this
- 20:42Speaker 1: you can taste Italian season a lot. I don't know
- 20:45Speaker 1: if I can taste O the flavors you can't. I
- 20:48Speaker 1: don't know. Well, that's that's why I kind of another bike.
- 20:52Speaker 1: I kind of seasoned it heavy because that that was
- 20:55Speaker 1: I mean, not that was an Italian dressing. It does overpower,
- 20:58Speaker 1: but you can still blends. You let still tasted. Like
- 21:02Speaker 1: my husband was on Harry Be like, did you see
- 21:04Speaker 1: the meat before you put it off? She sees in
- 21:07Speaker 1: the meat you can taste it. M But the Italian
- 21:10Speaker 1: dressing is basically for your for your dressing, for your
- 21:13Speaker 1: gravy for your rice. Now, when I cook chicken wings,
- 21:19Speaker 1: I boiled them to get that fall off the bones.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Now you just taught me I don't need to boil them. No,
- 21:27Speaker 1: the meat just fell off the bones like it was
- 21:29Speaker 1: eating like red velvet cake. Yeah, it was delicious, It
- 21:35Speaker 1: was absolutely so I'm glad. Now, good luck crew if
- 21:39Speaker 1: I share with you now the crew, Um, all right,
- 21:44Speaker 1: let's see is your rice stuff it should be? It's
- 21:49Speaker 1: looking very and looking at me. Okay, we got some rice.
- 21:56Speaker 1: So on the black Ink crew, would you say, like
- 22:02Speaker 1: this is the beginning of the route that you want
- 22:05Speaker 1: to go in as far as the reality. Yeah, because
- 22:08Speaker 1: I've shot pilots for blacking before and they never got
- 22:10Speaker 1: picked up. So this is finally like where I wanted
- 22:14Speaker 1: and what I wanted. So hopefully it takes me somewhere
- 22:18Speaker 1: else from here. Who knows. Do you want to open
- 22:21Speaker 1: up your own shopper? Yeah, most definitely. Or now how
- 22:25Speaker 1: do people buck you? Now? They go into the d
- 22:27Speaker 1: m um either through the ink art music site um
- 22:32Speaker 1: or through Instagram or through my website which is BIS
- 22:37Speaker 1: for inc bound dot com BIZ for income bomb dot com.
- 22:42Speaker 1: If I just want to make sure everybody here exactly.
- 23:01Speaker 1: So yeah, I've been thinking about getting that tattoo. Where's
- 23:03Speaker 1: the most painful parts of the body to get a tattoo? Um,
- 23:06Speaker 1: I'll say the most painful parts are the parts of
- 23:09Speaker 1: your body that don't see sunlight that much, which should
- 23:13Speaker 1: probably be like your inner or your side. So the
- 23:17Speaker 1: rib cage thing. I wanted to get a tattoo on
- 23:20Speaker 1: my rid. I mean, you can't. It's just it's painful.
- 23:25Speaker 1: When you tattooed Nipsey's neck, was there a part of
- 23:29Speaker 1: you that was like a little nervous board. We are
- 23:31Speaker 1: you like, I'm a tattoo artist. This is what I do? No, no,
- 23:34Speaker 1: because I'm always I was always around him, So it was,
- 23:37Speaker 1: like I said, it was like tatting my friend, my homeboy.
- 23:40Speaker 1: What's the craziest body part you've tattooed? The craziest body
- 23:45Speaker 1: no guy's ever been like tattoo probably like the top
- 23:47Speaker 1: of the couch, the top of the couch, or like
- 23:51Speaker 1: the lower stop, top of the coach, the top right
- 23:55Speaker 1: before to split, right before the split. Huh, that's crazy.
- 24:01Speaker 1: Guess what she got? What? I love your face? I
- 24:07Speaker 1: don't want to know that wasn't a celebrity. No, I
- 24:10Speaker 1: can't tell you. I don't. Girl, I thought you're gonna
- 24:14Speaker 1: say yes, she got her dude's name. I wouldn't. I
- 24:16Speaker 1: don't know. Old perfect guys that asked me cannot tat
- 24:19Speaker 1: their balls. It's just like dude, like you don't have
- 24:23Speaker 1: no tattoos anywhere else. But she asked me to touch
- 24:25Speaker 1: your fucking bass. What happens if you say yes, I'm
- 24:30Speaker 1: gonna charge the funk out of it. But even if
- 24:32Speaker 1: you did, like I would imagine, that would hurt intensely, right,
- 24:35Speaker 1: thank you, I personally would power you think they say
- 24:40Speaker 1: it just to funk with me. So yeah, like in
- 24:43Speaker 1: a d M or something blocked. Thank you damn. But
- 24:48Speaker 1: I would love to see a guy that actually gets
- 24:50Speaker 1: that done. Girl, only they could survive it, because I
- 24:54Speaker 1: think if you hit him there versus that's the most
- 24:57Speaker 1: painful air. From what I was told. Okay, so you
- 25:00Speaker 1: know how it gets Rocky the boss? Yeah, so you
- 25:08Speaker 1: have this show is like a drastic turns. Okay, okay,
- 25:12Speaker 1: so this is what I was taught. You have to
- 25:15Speaker 1: stressed to meet out, pause and stress some meat. Yeah,
- 25:20Speaker 1: I'm sorry, My guys around while the meat is loose
- 25:27Speaker 1: and yeah, so they can't you know how they rock
- 25:31Speaker 1: up and get hard. Yeah, it has to be loose,
- 25:34Speaker 1: and that's how you tattoo them. Oh, someone's actually done
- 25:37Speaker 1: it and left. Yeah, and the guy taught me that.
- 25:41Speaker 1: So there is men that have done it. Yeah. Oh snap,
- 25:44Speaker 1: that's crazy. Oh okay, that's a whole new level of gangster.
- 25:49Speaker 1: You get your balls tattooed. You'd be surprised. But it's different,
- 25:54Speaker 1: you know. Yeah, And ain't black people that's getting that
- 25:56Speaker 1: of course? Okay, it's like Travis Parker. Yeah, shout out
- 26:01Speaker 1: to him. I feel like he has no skin left
- 26:03Speaker 1: to tattoo, so he'd probably go that route, right. Probably
- 26:06Speaker 1: never know, jeez, who was like the cool? Like, would
- 26:10Speaker 1: you say, like, the most memorable besides nifty that you tattooed?
- 26:13Speaker 1: M probably my mom. I gave my mom her first
- 26:17Speaker 1: tattoo when she was sixty four, and she got her
- 26:22Speaker 1: a diamond on her ankle. M So, I said, this
- 26:25Speaker 1: is my back my back page from autumn, asked, whipp
- 26:28Speaker 1: is you got? She? What's she crying and stuff? Dang,
- 26:33Speaker 1: that's good. She took it like a g Now what
- 26:36Speaker 1: if your son? How is your son he's thirteen. What
- 26:39Speaker 1: if he says like I want to tattoo. As long
- 26:41Speaker 1: as he gets good grades and stuff, I wouldn't mind.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Does he have to be a certain age? Yeah for sure,
- 26:46Speaker 1: at least sixteen seventeen. Yeah. Now what would you do
- 26:50Speaker 1: if he like snuck out and got someone. I will
- 26:52Speaker 1: be pissed, Like you got your home, all right, you
- 26:56Speaker 1: got your whole mom right here? That do tattoos? So yeah,
- 27:00Speaker 1: she would try. So So where do you see yourself
- 27:03Speaker 1: down the road? Like, what do you see for yourself? Um?
- 27:06Speaker 1: I see myself as a shop owner. I want to
- 27:09Speaker 1: tap into voice over acting. Um, I feel like I
- 27:13Speaker 1: can be a great cartoon character. Really give me an impression?
- 27:18Speaker 1: Oh my god, not right there? I love you like
- 27:23Speaker 1: you know how the some people have, like the Simpson
- 27:26Speaker 1: voice or something. No, I can't change my voice up
- 27:28Speaker 1: like that. But I can't get you know very you know? Okay,
- 27:31Speaker 1: I like that, though I can change it up. Um,
- 27:35Speaker 1: voice acting. I want to do acting and I want
- 27:38Speaker 1: to tap in the makeup. I want to get my
- 27:40Speaker 1: own makeup line. Did you do your makeup looks super?
- 27:43Speaker 1: I did? I thought it was professionally done. No, it
- 27:46Speaker 1: looks great. I need help, Like fifteen minutes in the mirror. Really,
- 27:50Speaker 1: I suck at the fake lashes? Yeah, yeah, like I
- 27:54Speaker 1: want him, but I don't. I can't. I did that
- 27:56Speaker 1: first when I first started, but now it's like, bag, really,
- 28:00Speaker 1: do you need the little utensil? No, not at all,
- 28:04Speaker 1: but yeah, I definitely want to tap in to makeup.
- 28:06Speaker 1: So when it comes to tattoos, the pricing on tattoos ranges.
- 28:10Speaker 1: It range. Like obviously when you first start, I don't
- 28:12Speaker 1: know what the price point is, but like, how do
- 28:15Speaker 1: people know the different tiers? Like if I walked in
- 28:17Speaker 1: and I was like, I want a Nipsey mural or
- 28:20Speaker 1: face on me, obviously, like you have to draw that right. Um,
- 28:27Speaker 1: you can definitely tell until the tattoo shop. Basically by
- 28:30Speaker 1: the price range that you're getting offered. You can what
- 28:33Speaker 1: by the price range that they're telling you. You can
- 28:36Speaker 1: pretty much tell like I don't know, let me see
- 28:38Speaker 1: your work, you know what I'm saying, Like if they
- 28:41Speaker 1: quote you to cheap, you'll be like, let me see. Yeah,
- 28:45Speaker 1: I've heard people spend thousands of dollars on sleeves. Like
- 28:51Speaker 1: one thing about this industry there is you can't put
- 28:54Speaker 1: no price on art, you charge whatever you want. You
- 28:59Speaker 1: can charge whatever you want because there's always somebody who's
- 29:01Speaker 1: willing to expand with you if the other person isn't.
- 29:05Speaker 1: And what advice for you would you give to someone
- 29:07Speaker 1: that's trying to get their first tattoo? Um to make
- 29:11Speaker 1: go to you, Um to make sure you eat a
- 29:14Speaker 1: good meal, because your sugar level drops when you go
- 29:17Speaker 1: get tattooed from being excited and all that stuff. I
- 29:21Speaker 1: get a lot of people that passes out, and what
- 29:23Speaker 1: do you do? Wake him up? What? But but if
- 29:28Speaker 1: they passed out, like what are you? Like? No, I'll
- 29:31Speaker 1: kind of I'll give them orange juice some something sweet
- 29:34Speaker 1: to bring their sugar levels up, and you know, you
- 29:37Speaker 1: go from there. Either they continue the session or we
- 29:41Speaker 1: are they just tapped, like they can't do it no more?
- 29:43Speaker 1: And they have to be awake during it. You can't
- 29:46Speaker 1: because I mean a lot of people some people fall
- 29:49Speaker 1: asleep during the tattoo. It's just on the person. It's
- 29:52Speaker 1: just on the person. But if I like words in
- 29:55Speaker 1: your chair and I was like, dude, chap me if
- 29:58Speaker 1: I pass out, you ain't got a way me? I
- 30:02Speaker 1: know you breathe it? Okay, okay, is that how you
- 30:05Speaker 1: do it? Thought? Yeah, if you have people say like
- 30:07Speaker 1: if I pass out dangerous, I gotta still know that
- 30:11Speaker 1: you would live. What other advice would you give? Um,
- 30:18Speaker 1: your first I remember, is your first tattoo, So make
- 30:23Speaker 1: sure whichever you get, you know what you want and
- 30:26Speaker 1: it's forever. Have you seen people that had to get
- 30:28Speaker 1: the tattoo removal? Um? Yes, a couple of people as
- 30:33Speaker 1: came to me for that, but after they got their
- 30:35Speaker 1: tattoo remove and they want other stuff because they wasn't
- 30:38Speaker 1: satisfied with the stuff they got previously. Yeah, And I
- 30:42Speaker 1: guess the last piece of advice would be like, don't
- 30:44Speaker 1: go cheap because you know, you really just want to
- 30:47Speaker 1: focus on the end result exactly, so even if it
- 30:49Speaker 1: takes longer to get there, like saving up or whatever.
- 30:52Speaker 1: Pretty much now has have Have you been able to
- 30:55Speaker 1: ever take your tattoos? And this is a thought like
- 30:58Speaker 1: your artwork because you're an artist, right, like the Hannah
- 31:01Speaker 1: tattoos Hannah Hannah for the kids. Yeah you can't. Oh, okay,
- 31:07Speaker 1: I'm good a free handed stuff. Okay, And do you
- 31:10Speaker 1: have the Hannah Hannah Hannah Hanna Hanna. No, I don't,
- 31:17Speaker 1: but I can get it. Yeah, okay. Yeah, when it's
- 31:20Speaker 1: like if I'm at an event where it's a lot
- 31:22Speaker 1: of kids and I'm just bored, I'll break out from
- 31:25Speaker 1: Hannah eat and now do you have to patch that?
- 31:28Speaker 1: Or no? You can free hand it? And then how
- 31:31Speaker 1: long does that take? Look at me? This is my
- 31:34Speaker 1: way of saying, I want a tattoo, but I'm not
- 31:36Speaker 1: ready to commit. Okay, and I got miss ink bomb
- 31:39Speaker 1: in the studio. I'm trying to You don't get touched
- 31:43Speaker 1: by that that. It doesn't take long. It just depends
- 31:47Speaker 1: on what kind of design that you want. And it
- 31:49Speaker 1: usually just stays your skin and when you wash it off,
- 31:52Speaker 1: it stays on for about a week or two. You
- 31:54Speaker 1: tattoo your own stuff. I have you have I can't
- 31:59Speaker 1: even count no more, but I have a lot. Oh wow,
- 32:03Speaker 1: and you did those or you had to just did
- 32:05Speaker 1: lower arm? Yeah for those. Now, obviously you have friends
- 32:09Speaker 1: that are tattoo artists. So that gets tricky, right because
- 32:12Speaker 1: you have to be like, hey, I want to get
- 32:15Speaker 1: a tattoo, and then Johnny sees Susie Dozens like is
- 32:19Speaker 1: that we don't really get we don't really get upset
- 32:23Speaker 1: in the tattoo industry because we all fer friends. We
- 32:25Speaker 1: pretty much have our little circle who we go to,
- 32:28Speaker 1: who we keep going to. Yeah, so that doesn't really.
- 32:32Speaker 1: So you know Lamar from Mitchell, the owner of Happy Ice,
- 32:36Speaker 1: and you know of him, but I don't know him personally. Really,
- 32:38Speaker 1: I feel like you guys would get along really greaty.
- 32:40Speaker 1: It was also on our show. Yeah what did he make?
- 32:44Speaker 1: He made big beans and hot dogs, porking beans and wieners,
- 32:48Speaker 1: porking beans and winers. Yet, needless to say, when you
- 32:51Speaker 1: take when you sent me what you're gonna look, I
- 32:54Speaker 1: was you saw me. I was extremely excited. I'm over,
- 32:57Speaker 1: I'm over, I'm almost forty. It's just in guys, so
- 33:02Speaker 1: understand when I saw a chicken, I got really, really
- 33:05Speaker 1: really excited. So I asigned for chicken too. We have
- 33:09Speaker 1: some mutual friends. So of your mutual friends, have you
- 33:15Speaker 1: of army to have you done kid inc or Asia
- 33:17Speaker 1: or anybody else tattoos you? You did his little brother Julia,
- 33:22Speaker 1: everybody around him with a kid kids? Have you done
- 33:25Speaker 1: as do you want to do kid inc? Yeah? Whenever
- 33:30Speaker 1: he's ready, we don have to make that connection. I'm
- 33:33Speaker 1: gonna make the connection and then I'm gonna slide in
- 33:34Speaker 1: there for like my handed tattoo, and we're gonna tell
- 33:37Speaker 1: my husband. He doesn't listen to the show. I doubt
- 33:40Speaker 1: he's listening, but we're gonna tell him that I got
- 33:42Speaker 1: like a permanent I want to do like, yo, I
- 33:44Speaker 1: like you so much. I got this tattoo your Yeah,
- 33:47Speaker 1: we can cych him out, yeah, and then be like
- 33:49Speaker 1: you should get yours. Imagine if you really seeing pictures
- 33:52Speaker 1: of me actually like yes, we can't fake it till
- 33:55Speaker 1: we make you. Really, what's it? Really good? Got you?
- 33:57Speaker 1: I would love to do that I got you. That
- 33:59Speaker 1: would be a great surprise. But we should do it
- 34:02Speaker 1: like big so he's if he really didn't get it. No,
- 34:05Speaker 1: this is what we should do. We should like do
- 34:07Speaker 1: the big one. Have you with your gun right, and
- 34:10Speaker 1: then you do a big labor like Darius picture on
- 34:13Speaker 1: me and then he's gonna see and be like happy
- 34:15Speaker 1: Father's Day. And he's gonna be like what because you
- 34:22Speaker 1: imagine if someone did that your wife, you don't care,
- 34:25Speaker 1: and I should do like it should just be just
- 34:27Speaker 1: I see like and it should be like happy Father's Day.
- 34:29Speaker 1: And it's like he's not gonna know, he gonna expect something,
- 34:33Speaker 1: then we're gonna have to do something but the sample.
- 34:36Speaker 1: But if it's Hannah, well we gotta just do it
- 34:38Speaker 1: where it scares the crap out of him. Yes, what
- 34:41Speaker 1: don't y'all like to see that or hear that or
- 34:43Speaker 1: get the being roll from that? And then it's miss
- 34:46Speaker 1: eche bomb doing it. That's crazy, that's like some some
- 34:49Speaker 1: gangster stuff. What advice would you give to someone that
- 34:54Speaker 1: you're mostly fastered because you went for braids to tattooing too,
- 34:59Speaker 1: and you add multiple jobs your mom? What advice would
- 35:02Speaker 1: you get to someone that's trying to be in your
- 35:04Speaker 1: position where you're you know, you're famous tattoo artists. Um,
- 35:08Speaker 1: I'll just say to keep God first and never give
- 35:12Speaker 1: up and don't let nobody tell you know. Was there
- 35:17Speaker 1: ever know that you heard that made you take a
- 35:20Speaker 1: breath in like maybe just maybe I'm crazy, Maybe it's
- 35:25Speaker 1: time to turn it on? It was? It was times
- 35:28Speaker 1: when I first started, especially um at tattoo expos because
- 35:33Speaker 1: you're surrounded by nothing but Hispanics, And to be honest,
- 35:37Speaker 1: this is basically mostly what the industry is. It's Hispanic um.
- 35:42Speaker 1: And then for me coming at end as as a
- 35:45Speaker 1: black girl female tattoo artists. They used to look at
- 35:48Speaker 1: me and be like or. And it would be times
- 35:51Speaker 1: I used to go in the bathroom and cry because
- 35:53Speaker 1: I'm at this tattoo explo I'm on my last little
- 35:56Speaker 1: ends and yes, and I'm out here for these three days.
- 36:01Speaker 1: It was this one time I just went to the
- 36:03Speaker 1: bath home and start boohoo and crying because I was
- 36:05Speaker 1: not getting no tattoos. And I'm like, oh my god,
- 36:08Speaker 1: I'm out here all the way in San Francisco and
- 36:10Speaker 1: I don't even know if I don't even know that.
- 36:12Speaker 1: So you go there and then you can pick whoever
- 36:15Speaker 1: the tattoo. No, no, it's people shopping around for tattoos.
- 36:17Speaker 1: So you have your portfolio laying around and people just coming.
- 36:21Speaker 1: You'd be like, am I gonna get No, you're paying
- 36:24Speaker 1: for the booth. That's crazy. So that's like investing yourself.
- 36:29Speaker 1: I know that because I remember one time I was
- 36:32Speaker 1: I had my business and I got a parking ticket.
- 36:34Speaker 1: Real my dad called in the back seat in the
- 36:36Speaker 1: trunk of the car and just try to call my
- 36:39Speaker 1: dad crying. He was like, but I came out that
- 36:41Speaker 1: bathroom and I sucked that ship up and I tattooed
- 36:44Speaker 1: for the rest of that night. Did you call anybody
- 36:46Speaker 1: in that moment? Um? It was my Premo that had
- 36:50Speaker 1: had the booth with me. He said there and talked
- 36:52Speaker 1: to me like, look, you gotta sucked this ship up,
- 36:55Speaker 1: like you here for a reason and that's what you're
- 36:57Speaker 1: gonna do. And I sucked that ship up and I
- 36:58Speaker 1: knocked out like four tattoos, five tattoos by the end
- 37:01Speaker 1: of the night. So yeah, and then you just kept
- 37:05Speaker 1: pushing and there was no other time. I love that
- 37:07Speaker 1: you shared them because people don't. And then by the
