- 0:10SPEAKER_00: Getting to Vegas, you don't just wake up and do that as a new artist.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: You know, you you put a lot of time in to get a residency, and so I respect that.
- 0:19Sean McAllister: Hear our thoughts on the country night that had sparks flying.

- 0:32Dayna Roselli: Plus, we're with Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller as he reveals his favorite Vegas spots off the football field.
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: No, I just love everything that the Las Vegas locals love now that I'm getting to pick their brains and their point me where to go.
- 0:46Sean McAllister: Plus, we taste test the brand new Vegas Vicky beer.
- 0:50Sean McAllister: All that and more this week on Vegas Reveal.
- 0:54Dayna Roselli: First, listen up.
- 0:56Dayna Roselli: We have exciting news about our Vegas NearMe sponsor.
- 0:59Dayna Roselli: The Vegas Near Me app we've been so excited about is going to be launching very soon.
- 1:05Dayna Roselli: It's created for Vegas visitors and locals, and you're gonna find everything on this app.
- 1:10Dayna Roselli: We've had the luxury of using the beta app and are amazed at how much content is included.
- 1:15Sean McAllister: Yeah, Dana and I thought we knew everything about Vegas, but Vegas Near Me has surprised us.
- 1:23Sean McAllister: You'll find information about escape rooms, skydiving.
- 1:27Sean McAllister: Hey, it's even how we found out about that camel safari that we talked about last week.
- 1:33Sean McAllister: We can't wait to announce when Vegas Near Me is live.
- 1:38Dayna Roselli: Until then, we want to give you an exclusive opportunity to be among the first in the world to download it, play with it, test it, and tell us what you think.
- 1:45Dayna Roselli: The link is in our show notes.
- 1:47Dayna Roselli: It's really easy to download right on your phone.
- 1:49Sean McAllister: If it's fun to do or see, it's on Vegas Near Me.
- 1:54Sean McAllister: Let's spin that wheel.
- 2:03Sean McAllister: Welcome to Vegas Revealed, episode 137.
- 2:06Sean McAllister: Sean McAllister here along with Dana Roselli.
- 2:10Sean McAllister: And even though like last week we talked about a lot of sports, this week we have a little bit more sports, but we're not gonna go like super sporty with it.
- 2:19Dayna Roselli: No.
- 2:20Dayna Roselli: Yeah, no sports in the sports talk, right?
- 2:23Dayna Roselli: We interviewed Darren Waller of the Las Vegas Raiders, and he is just an incredible athlete, but also he's doing so much for our community.
- 2:31Dayna Roselli: We were at one of his foundation galas recently.
- 2:34Dayna Roselli: We stopped him, we caught up with him.
- 2:37Dayna Roselli: What a journey he has been in, and what a story he has to tell.
- 2:41Dayna Roselli: If you've never heard his story, you gotta stay tuned.
- 2:44Dayna Roselli: And also, Sean, we talked to him about all his favorite spots in Las Vegas on and off the strip.
- 2:50Dayna Roselli: So I loved hearing where he hangs.
- 2:52Sean McAllister: I know.
- 2:53Sean McAllister: I a lot of those were like my go-to spots in my old neighborhood before I moved.
- 3:00Sean McAllister: So, like his favorite spots, I'm like, oh yeah, those are good spots.
- 3:05Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 3:05Dayna Roselli: He did mention a place I'd never heard of, though.
- 3:07Dayna Roselli: So we'll have to look into that.
- 3:08Dayna Roselli: But that's all coming up with our interview with Darren Waller.
- 3:11Dayna Roselli: Great guy.
- 3:12Dayna Roselli: But first, let's talk about Miranda Lambert.
- 3:16Sean McAllister: Yeah, the Country Star just kicked off her Velvet Rodeo residency here on the Las Vegas strip.
- 3:24Sean McAllister: And sparks were flying, Dana.
- 3:27Dayna Roselli: They really were.
- 3:28Dayna Roselli: And P.S.
- 3:29Dayna Roselli: at the end of the show, she said she'll be here for two years, which we didn't know.
- 3:34Sean McAllister: We looked at each other, we were like, wait a second, did we know that?
- 3:37Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 3:37Dayna Roselli: So that was exciting.
- 3:39Dayna Roselli: So she'll she kicked off the residency, but she is going to be doing shows in Las Vegas for two years.
- 3:44Dayna Roselli: Words from her mouth at the end of her show.
- 3:47Dayna Roselli: So that was exciting to hear.
- 3:49Dayna Roselli: Yeah, what a fun night, right?
- 3:50Dayna Roselli: At Zappos Theater.
- 3:51Sean McAllister: It really was.
- 3:52Sean McAllister: People were up out of their seats for most of the show.
- 3:56Sean McAllister: My gosh.
- 3:57Sean McAllister: People were super into the music.
- 3:59Sean McAllister: It's a high-energy show with I mean, Miranda's she's just great.
- 4:05Sean McAllister: She's a great entertainer.
- 4:07Sean McAllister: Um, we have our thoughts on the show, but first we want to hear from Miranda herself.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: Las Vegas is um one of those places where everything's available.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: And so I love the fact that it's a city that lifts up all kinds of artists from the shows to Cirque to you know, country music, any kind of thing you can think of.
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: There's a show to see here, and I love that.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: And so becoming part of that sort of kids' club of you know, the cool kids club that's been had Vegas residencies was a really, a really good thought when it was pr presented to me.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: So um I'm thrilled to be here.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: I think it's awesome.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: Zappo's, I feel like every seat in the house is a good seat.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: It feels really intimate, but you can still put on a huge show.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: And I I've never experienced that before because theaters tech normally don't have that big of a stage to to work with.
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: So it is really interesting that I could see most of the faces in the room and um still put a set this big in this place.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: So I felt really good.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: It's a legendary theater.
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: So um I actually saw Shania here back in December.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: So um I'm really thankful to, you know, it's got it's got history to it.
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: When you step on the stage, you you can't help but think about all the other people that have been there too.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: And and put, you know, getting to Vegas, you don't just wake up and do that as a new artist.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: You know, you you put a lot of time in to get a residency.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: And so I I respect that.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: I want fans to, if they've seen us before, to feel like this is a show that they've never seen from us.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: Um, to really know that we are trying to deliver the most, the the best show that we can deliver for them because I know it's expensive and it's you know, people travel from all over and they spend the hard earned money on it.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: And so I want to make sure that we really deliver for them.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: And for fans that have never seen us before, um, you know, this this would be the time because we have all the bells and whistles right now.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: So it's really cool.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: We've never had PowerBoat on tour, and we've never had um this many lights.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: So everything is very well thought out, and every song is lifted up by this set, and it really is so cool to watch, you know, just being on tour this long.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: I've never um I've never seen our show at such an elevated level, and the band is we're matching that energy of, you know, all of us creatively have worked on it so hard that all of us are bringing our A game.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: And so it feels very big and very important for my for my catalog and for, you know, um my life's work really.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: This is kind of what I've dedicated my life to.
- 6:32Sean McAllister: And Dana, uh, I don't know about you, but I had a really good time at the show.
- 6:36Dayna Roselli: I didn't.
- 6:37Dayna Roselli: I don't know Miranda Lambert music very well.
- 6:39Dayna Roselli: I know Little Red Wagon.
- 6:41Dayna Roselli: I was waiting for that song, and she did play it, guys.
- 6:44Dayna Roselli: And my friend was waiting for another one of his favorite songs, and she played that too, so we were happy with that.
- 6:49Dayna Roselli: But didn't seem like we didn't know the songs, right?
- 6:53Dayna Roselli: Because we were saying they were so easy to sway to and learn the words to that you're just kind of into it the whole show.
- 7:00Sean McAllister: Yeah, you end up singing the chorus right along with her after the first time, exactly, and uh it was just so graphically enticing, and there's so many lights and the effects, there's fire, lots of pyro in the show.
- 7:18Sean McAllister: And actually, Miranda said that she has never done a show before with pyro, especially out on tour.
- 7:25Sean McAllister: So this is something new for her to have a production this big.
- 7:29Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I mean we were a little ways back and we could feel the heat when that pyro kicked up, right?
- 7:34Sean McAllister: And it wasn't just like uh a oh like oh, something's warm.
- 7:39Sean McAllister: You were like, oh crap, like those are giant blasts of fire.
- 7:44Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 7:44Sean McAllister: I even I turned to Shane and my husband, and I was like, are my eyebrows singed?
- 7:49Dayna Roselli: I know, it felt it, right?
- 7:50Dayna Roselli: It was I like a little blast of heat though, especially because that air conditioning can blow a little too much.
- 7:55Dayna Roselli: Um, so yeah, anyway, she came out in a fabulous outfit.
- 7:58Dayna Roselli: She had her gold boots, and so um it was a great show.
- 8:01Dayna Roselli: She literally played song after song after song after song.
- 8:05Dayna Roselli: And if I had any critique, it might be that.
- 8:07Dayna Roselli: I loved that she continuously belted out the hits, but I would have liked to hear from her just a little bit more during the show.
- 8:14Dayna Roselli: And it could be something where she's gonna need to figure that out, but just speaking a little more to the audience would have been better for me.
- 8:21Sean McAllister: Right.
- 8:22Sean McAllister: And I don't know whether it's uh a story about she did kind of set some of the songs up with a little bit of a story, but it wasn't like speaking directly to the audience and having candid moments.
- 8:35Dayna Roselli: Yeah, yeah.
- 8:36Sean McAllister: Um, and I think my other critique is that uh Miranda only wore one costume the entire show.
- 8:46Sean McAllister: And I don't know of any other headlining act that has never gone in for a wardrobe change.
- 8:55Sean McAllister: And I kind of wanted her to be a little bit more diva.
- 8:58Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I know.
- 8:59Dayna Roselli: I think and when we were chatting with a lot of others after the two things we just said seemed to be what everyone agreed on.
- 9:05Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 9:06Dayna Roselli: Fantastic, incredible voice, amazing songs, what a show.
- 9:09Dayna Roselli: But we would have liked to hear from her a little bit more, and also we kind of thought that she would change outfits a few times because it would kind of go dark for a second.
- 9:19Dayna Roselli: You thought, oh, she's gonna come out in something new.
- 9:21Dayna Roselli: I think she put on a gold jacket toward the end, right?
- 9:23Dayna Roselli: I think she put on a jacket or pink, yeah.
- 9:26Sean McAllister: It was there were a couple jackets, yes.
- 9:28Dayna Roselli: A jacket or two with the free, yeah.
- 9:30Dayna Roselli: So I mean, she put things on here and there, but I know I think we expected the change.
- 9:34Dayna Roselli: And I don't know if it's just our our snobby Vegas show attitude of we're like when you come here, you gotta change costumes or what.
- 9:42Dayna Roselli: But you know, it it's it is a show, and I don't know, I guess we're just used to that, you know.
- 9:47Dayna Roselli: I mean, Cher changed outfits too many times.
- 9:50Sean McAllister: Oh my god, there was like an outfit per song.
- 9:52Dayna Roselli: That was ridiculous.
- 9:54Sean McAllister: It was like, okay, here's Cher for two minutes, and then she's gone for five minutes to change.
- 9:59Dayna Roselli: So we don't want that, Miranda, but maybe a couple, you know, costume changes could have been could have been fun for Miranda, and I think it just kind of adds to the show.
- 10:06Dayna Roselli: But you know, it's her show.
- 10:08Dayna Roselli: She's doing it how she wants.
- 10:10Dayna Roselli: The place was sold out and rocking, so I mean, maybe, maybe it doesn't really matter.
- 10:15Dayna Roselli: Who knows?
- 10:16Sean McAllister: An entire weekend of sold-out shows to kick off the Velvet Rodeo residency over at Planet Hollywood.
- 10:24Sean McAllister: Um, but overall, it really was a fantastic show.
- 10:29Sean McAllister: We had a great time.
- 10:30Dayna Roselli: We did.
- 10:30Dayna Roselli: We went to an after party, which was great.
- 10:32Dayna Roselli: Um, Miranda was there, her husband was there.
- 10:34Dayna Roselli: You know, you could tell the whole crew and everyone that was part of the show, which was fun.
- 10:38Dayna Roselli: And uh they had a great cake for her.
- 10:41Dayna Roselli: Uh I loaded up on churros.
- 10:43Dayna Roselli: They had churros there.
- 10:44Dayna Roselli: Did you have some of the churros?
- 10:45Sean McAllister: No, I didn't eat anything.
- 10:46Dayna Roselli: Oh, it was so delicious.
- 10:47Sean McAllister: But there were sliders and churros.
- 10:49Sean McAllister: Yeah, a taco bar stand bar.
- 10:52Sean McAllister: That was great.
- 10:52Dayna Roselli: That was really nice of her to do that.
- 10:54Dayna Roselli: It was for the, you know, the people who um attended the show, the VIPs and media and stuff.
- 10:59Dayna Roselli: So enjoyed that.
- 11:00Dayna Roselli: And again, um there was a quick little speech, and they did reiterate that she will be in Vegas for two years.
- 11:07Dayna Roselli: So if you want to see Miranda and you can't get here immediately, you've got time.
- 11:10Dayna Roselli: I can only imagine, and I didn't look at the dates, so she's gotta be rocking out during the national final rodeo week.
- 11:16Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah.
- 11:17Dayna Roselli: I'm assuming.
- 11:17Dayna Roselli: And that's she'll she'll pack them in.
- 11:19Dayna Roselli: So I hope she enjoys it.
- 11:21Dayna Roselli: I hope she loves Vegas as much as we do.
- 11:24Sean McAllister: Welcome, Miranda.
- 11:25Sean McAllister: Uh, another group of musicians who will be hanging around Vegas a little more than they usually do is Maroon 5 with frontman Adam Levine has just announced a Vegas residency of their own over at Park MGM.
- 11:43Dayna Roselli: Yeah, now I'm just gonna say it.
- 11:44Dayna Roselli: Interesting timing.
- 11:46Dayna Roselli: Um, Adam Levine has been in the headlines, not a great way lately, because of his personal life.
- 11:52Dayna Roselli: Although, I also have to say, personal life really has nothing to do with your music and your career and what you're doing.
- 11:59Dayna Roselli: And so, you know what?
- 12:01Dayna Roselli: Maroon 5 announced a residency in Las Vegas.
- 12:03Dayna Roselli: And you know what they say?
- 12:04Dayna Roselli: No press is bad press.
- 12:05Dayna Roselli: I mean, it is what it is, but this is definitely gonna get people talking.
- 12:10Dayna Roselli: And I'm curious how the ticket sales will go over at Park MGM.
- 12:14Dayna Roselli: Maroon 5's been around a long time, and you cannot deny they have hit after hit after hit.
- 12:20Sean McAllister: They do, and for years, I don't even know how many years this dates back, but they have done uh New Year's Eve shows, New Year's weekend shows uh here in Las Vegas for as long as I can remember.
- 12:35Sean McAllister: In recent history, anyway.
- 12:36Sean McAllister: I don't know, maybe it goes back seven, eight years that they've done their New Year's Eve shows, but now they'll be over at uh Park MGM.
- 12:45Sean McAllister: Tickets for their residency go on sale pretty soon on uh October 3rd.
- 12:50Sean McAllister: That's a Monday.
- 12:52Sean McAllister: So you can start getting tickets to see them over at Dolby Live.
- 12:56Sean McAllister: Um, and this residency is going to be custom designed for that theater over at Park MGM.
- 13:04Dayna Roselli: Okay, interesting.
- 13:05Dayna Roselli: And maybe we'll see Adam Levine out and about.
- 13:08Sean McAllister: Well, maybe his phone's gonna get locked away in one of those pouches that all of us have to lock our phone away in.
- 13:16Dayna Roselli: Oh my god.
- 13:16Sean McAllister: I bet his wife would be happy about that.
- 13:19Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I shouldn't laugh.
- 13:20Dayna Roselli: I shouldn't laugh.
- 13:21Dayna Roselli: But you know, some of the things that have been going around and the memes, it's hard not to laugh.
- 13:25Dayna Roselli: Um, the whole thing is uncomfortable when it comes to all that stuff.
- 13:29Dayna Roselli: Sometimes I'm like, uh, cringe, but regardless, like we said, yeah, maroon five, undeniable hits.
- 13:36Dayna Roselli: And uh, you know, a lot of people will love to see them live in concert at their new residency at Park MGM.
- 13:42Sean McAllister: Maybe his wife will give him a roll of quarters so he can call from a payphone.
- 13:50Dayna Roselli: No texting on the payphones, right?
- 13:52Dayna Roselli: You can't.
- 13:53Sean McAllister: Nope.
- 13:54Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 13:55Dayna Roselli: Well, I'm sure everyone knows what we're talking about, and if not, Google it.
- 13:58Dayna Roselli: Hey, David Blaine's coming to the strip for the first time.
- 14:01Dayna Roselli: Sean and I are gonna check out that show this week.
- 14:03Dayna Roselli: We're super excited for this.
- 14:05Dayna Roselli: He's an incredible illusionist.
- 14:07Dayna Roselli: If you've never seen his well, he does all those TV specials, right?
- 14:12Sean McAllister: Yeah, he does stunts, illusions.
- 14:14Dayna Roselli: I've always been enthralled with him, and I haven't seen actually, I haven't seen him do something recently, but I used to watch all those specials and love it.
- 14:24Dayna Roselli: So I'm really looking forward to seeing David Blaine here.
- 14:26Dayna Roselli: And I love I think he's a great addition to, you know, uh shows on the strip.
- 14:30Dayna Roselli: I mean, he's only doing like, I think like three weekends.
- 14:32Dayna Roselli: We talked about this before, and we'll see if he extends.
- 14:35Dayna Roselli: But I wonder, I wonder what's gonna happen because you talked about there possibly being an alligator in the show.
- 14:40Sean McAllister: Yeah, like an alligator pit.
- 14:42Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I think.
- 14:43Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 14:43Sean McAllister: And you know, what what's really cool is that David Blaine normally does, like you said, uh, do these stunts, illusions in televised specials.
- 14:54Sean McAllister: It's very rare.
- 14:56Sean McAllister: Well, it's actually his first residency.
- 14:59Sean McAllister: It's very rare when he does a show like this um on stage.
- 15:05Sean McAllister: So it is a really unique thing to have him here in Vegas.
- 15:11Dayna Roselli: It could be the first, too.
- 15:12Dayna Roselli: We haven't I haven't looked into it, but it could be the first one.
- 15:14Sean McAllister: Very well may be.
- 15:15Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 15:16Dayna Roselli: So we'll let you know next week on how we enjoyed uh David Blaine and give you a little bit of detail.
- 15:22Dayna Roselli: And we won't spoil it for you though, because we never like to do that, especially when it comes to illusionists.
- 15:27Dayna Roselli: Um, Luke Bryan added dates to his shows at Resorts World.
- 15:32Dayna Roselli: He added 12 more dates.
- 15:34Dayna Roselli: I'm excited about this.
- 15:35Dayna Roselli: And I was thinking Luke Bryan, uh, Sean, when you said, I don't think I've ever seen another show where the person didn't change outfits.
- 15:42Dayna Roselli: Did Luke Bryan?
- 15:43Dayna Roselli: I mean, because you know, he's a dude, but um I don't know if he did.
- 15:47Dayna Roselli: I can't remember.
- 15:49Sean McAllister: He may have changed jackets, possibly.
- 15:54Sean McAllister: But I think he was in jeans and a shirt pretty much the whole time.
- 15:58Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 15:58Dayna Roselli: But the one thing that he did have is interacting with the audience a lot.
- 16:02Dayna Roselli: And he ran around the whole theater, right?
- 16:04Dayna Roselli: He was in the sky, he was running over the ramps.
- 16:06Dayna Roselli: So, I mean, that was one thing that it was almost like I don't know, it kept it moving.
- 16:10Dayna Roselli: But we loved Luke Bryant.
- 16:11Dayna Roselli: You and I were just saying we'd love to see him again at some point, too.
- 16:14Dayna Roselli: But excited for Luke to be adding 12 more dates.
- 16:17Dayna Roselli: And I feel like he's just gonna keep adding and adding, or he should, because his show is fantastic.
- 16:20Sean McAllister: Yeah, I mean, it really is.
- 16:22Sean McAllister: It's a great show.
- 16:23Sean McAllister: So the new dates are in February, March.
- 16:26Sean McAllister: Well, that's the bulk.
- 16:28Sean McAllister: And then there's a show on uh April 1st.
- 16:31Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 16:31Sean McAllister: And I bet if you go to that show, he'll pull he'll pull an April Fool's joke on you.
- 16:37Dayna Roselli: Like maybe he won't show up, though.
- 16:38Dayna Roselli: That can be bad.
- 16:39Dayna Roselli: Can you imagine?
- 16:41Dayna Roselli: Thanks to your ticket sales.
- 16:43Dayna Roselli: I'm back here.
- 16:44Sean McAllister: He wouldn't, Luke wouldn't do that.
- 16:46Dayna Roselli: No, he wouldn't.
- 16:46Sean McAllister: He wouldn't.
- 16:47Dayna Roselli: And one more thing we wanted to mention is a show that we talked about before, Bat Out of Hell, that's coming to Las Vegas.
- 16:53Dayna Roselli: And it's now opened at the Paris Las Vegas.
- 16:56Dayna Roselli: Sean and I will also be going to see that show soon.
- 16:59Dayna Roselli: Excited that they have a new show in that theater.
- 17:02Dayna Roselli: And Sean, interesting too, because Jersey Boys was in that theater for so long.
- 17:06Dayna Roselli: They tried other things, but I'm kind of glad there's another kind of musical production in there, like a stage show.
- 17:12Sean McAllister: I know it is, it's such a great theater.
- 17:15Sean McAllister: It is.
- 17:16Sean McAllister: And, you know, now that I feel like Paris, we've talked about this before, has become kind of a dining destination now that they have Martha Stewart, Bobby Flay, Chef Nobu, uh, the Vanderpump, uh Paris, Lisa Vanderpump's places over there.
- 17:32Sean McAllister: So they have great spots to go.
- 17:34Sean McAllister: It not that they didn't before.
- 17:36Sean McAllister: They have, you know, Gordon Ramsey, Mona Miga B.
- 17:39Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 17:39Sean McAllister: Um, but now, more than ever, it's a great place for dinner and a show.
- 17:43Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's a little bit more of a restaurant row in a way, right?
- 17:46Dayna Roselli: It is, yeah.
- 17:46Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 17:47Dayna Roselli: Hey, side note, you went to um Martha Stewart's restaurant.
- 17:50Dayna Roselli: We don't have to get into great detail, and I know you went with some friends and and they bought it and all that kind of thing, but how did you like it?
- 17:57Sean McAllister: I liked it.
- 18:00Dayna Roselli: That's not very convincing, Sean.
- 18:03Sean McAllister: Do you know?
- 18:03Sean McAllister: Do you want it to be honest?
- 18:05Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 18:06Sean McAllister: The thing that I was most enamored by is the little light in the center of the table.
- 18:13Dayna Roselli: Why?
- 18:13Dayna Roselli: What is that?
- 18:14Dayna Roselli: What is the little light for?
- 18:15Sean McAllister: It was like, I don't know.
- 18:17Sean McAllister: It it looks like a kind of a little desk light.
- 18:22Sean McAllister: Um, it's got like the pedestal base with a thin, you know, pole coming up and a little like triangular little cap on top, but it's just this tiny little LED light inside, but it puts out so much light, and all of us sitting there at the table, we were like, oh my god, this light is great.
- 18:43Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 18:44Sean McAllister: It's 150 bucks if you want it.
- 18:46Dayna Roselli: Oh, you can buy it?
- 18:47Sean McAllister: You can buy it.
- 18:47Dayna Roselli: Um because it is like Martha's home, right?
- 18:49Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 18:50Dayna Roselli: Okay, so there's like things in there that you can get.
- 18:52Dayna Roselli: Interesting.
- 18:53Sean McAllister: I think you can buy everything that's in there, as a matter of fact.
- 18:56Sean McAllister: All right.
- 18:57Sean McAllister: From Martha Stewart's website.
- 18:58Dayna Roselli: Okay, interesting, interesting.
- 19:00Sean McAllister: Um, but the food was good.
- 19:01Sean McAllister: I had uh lemon risotto and scallops, and it was delicious.
- 19:05Sean McAllister: Uh, she does.
- 19:08Dayna Roselli: I did we just watched that clip of Rosie O'Donnell on TikTok saying that she visited Martha way back when, when she was in prison, and she asked Martha what she missed the most, and Martha said the taste of lemons.
- 19:24Dayna Roselli: That's just like this is a total flow conversation.
- 19:27Dayna Roselli: This is unplanned.
- 19:28Dayna Roselli: But I remember we just saw that TikTok, and we were saying, and she said she sent her a lemon tree when she got out.
- 19:34Dayna Roselli: She did.
- 19:34Dayna Roselli: So I love that you had the lemon risotto.
- 19:36Dayna Roselli: Yeah, the lemon.
- 19:37Dayna Roselli: That must be her one of her main specialties.
- 19:39Sean McAllister: It was it it was delicious.
- 19:42Sean McAllister: Okay, absolutely delicious.
- 19:43Sean McAllister: And I had uh a couple old fashions, which were terrific, of course.
- 19:50Sean McAllister: Um, and an espresso martini.
- 19:52Dayna Roselli: Ooh, yum.
- 19:53Dayna Roselli: No wonder you came over all tipsy to Miranda Lambert.
- 19:56Sean McAllister: I I know, I almost didn't make it.
- 20:00Dayna Roselli: All right, uh, let's move on anyway.
- 20:02Dayna Roselli: We're gonna see Bad Out of Hell, uh musical based on Meatloaf.
- 20:05Sean McAllister: Oh, that's what we were talking about.
- 20:07Dayna Roselli: Coming up here shortly, and then we'll have that in a podcast that will follow.
- 20:12Dayna Roselli: But let's talk about Darren Waller now.
- 20:15Dayna Roselli: Uh, Darren Waller, tight end for the Las Vegas Raiders, and I'm just gonna cut to the chase, Sean.
- 20:21Dayna Roselli: One of the most stunning men I've ever seen in person.
- 20:24Dayna Roselli: He is gorgeous, handsome, personable, gorgeous smile.
- 20:31Dayna Roselli: So, you know, tall.
- 20:33Dayna Roselli: Tall, I'm really tall.
- 20:35Dayna Roselli: You know, he's football player body, all that.
- 20:37Dayna Roselli: I'm I'm not, you know, all that kind of thing.
- 20:39Dayna Roselli: But I don't want to get into all that, even though I just did.
- 20:42Dayna Roselli: I just want to say my whole point is when you see someone like that, you you walk up and you think, you know, you're gonna be intimidated.
- 20:49Dayna Roselli: Uh, this guy isn't gonna be very personable, but he is nothing but that.
- 20:53Dayna Roselli: One of the nicest athletes I've ever met, uh, so personable and so caring.
- 20:59Dayna Roselli: And I just I love everything about that because to me, you look at him and you go, okay, that's the total package.
- 21:05Dayna Roselli: And and that is um, I always feel like a real role model.
- 21:10Sean McAllister: It really is.
- 21:11Sean McAllister: And there's nothing but a welcoming vibe that you get when you're around Darren, which might be surprising to people because he's made headlines recently for signing a three-year extension with the Las Vegas Raiders, a deal that's worth$51 million.
- 21:29Sean McAllister: So when you have a person who's a pro athlete who is of that stature, you wouldn't expect somebody to be as personable as Darren Waller is.
- 21:44Dayna Roselli: Yeah, he is so down to earth.
- 21:46Dayna Roselli: And listen, Darren has not held back when it comes to telling his personal story with how drugs and alcohol has affected him.
- 21:52Dayna Roselli: He has the Darren Waller Foundation now, where he helps youth that get in those situations, and uh this is.
- 22:00Dayna Roselli: Is I think he said the third year, right?
- 22:02Dayna Roselli: That he's been doing this gala to raise money for his foundation, which is taking off.
- 22:09Dayna Roselli: And gosh, what a story.
- 22:11Dayna Roselli: You and I were reading a little bit further.
- 22:13Dayna Roselli: We had actually done something with him before, where he was doing some community work with students in a hip hop class that he uh attended, a hip hop class that some of the students take um in partnership with the Metro Police Foundation.
- 22:28Dayna Roselli: And we already heard uh parts of his story when he was telling it to the students, but then we dug a little deeper, and both of us just super impressed that he's so open about this.
- 22:39Sean McAllister: He is.
- 22:40Sean McAllister: It was back in uh 2017 when he was uh suspended from the NFL um for substance abuse.
- 22:50Sean McAllister: He uh overdosed, and uh that's really when he hit rock bottom, and he talks about how uh that was like kind of an awakening of sorts for him.
- 23:02Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and he in basically in high school he started taking painkillers and really, in many ways, never stopped, and things just kept getting worse and worse and spiraling out of control.
- 23:13Dayna Roselli: Um, yeah, he overdosed, he said, uh, in his car, woke up sweating, thought, oh my gosh, I'm so scared, and immediately, I guess, got with his family and got into a rehab facility, was there for 30 days, got out, decided I'm not going back down that road.
- 23:31Dayna Roselli: I'm determined, got a job at Sprouts, stock and shelves.
- 23:36Dayna Roselli: Um, apparently he really enjoyed it.
- 23:37Dayna Roselli: I think in this one article we were reading, uh, one of his uh bosses was saying he loved it so much, sometimes he'd forget to even come pick up his paycheck.
- 23:45Sean McAllister: Yeah, he said that it was one of the happiest times.
- 23:48Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 23:49Dayna Roselli: Um, so he worked at Sprouts, everyone.
- 23:52Dayna Roselli: And then finally, when he cleaned up the act, proved himself, went back on the team, Baltimore Ravens, but they put him on the practice squad, right?
- 24:02Dayna Roselli: So he wasn't playing full time.
- 24:04Dayna Roselli: And then apparently they played the Raiders, Raiders discovered him, they said, Come to our team, and you know the rest of the story.
- 24:10SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 24:11Dayna Roselli: So pretty incredible.
- 24:12Dayna Roselli: It's a really, I just shortened a very long story, but just to give you an idea, he shares that story over and over.
- 24:18Sean McAllister: Yeah, and that is the the backstory really of the the Darren Waller Foundation, which, you know, the goal is to educate kids to avoid substance abuse, drug, and alcohol abuse.
- 24:32Sean McAllister: Um, but if kids have already gone down that road, they provide grants to cover uh rehab and associated costs uh for the kids and for families.
- 24:44Sean McAllister: And there's a lot of follow-up that's done.
- 24:47Sean McAllister: Darren actually recently just went and visited with uh the kids who are in rehab right now because of the grants that his foundation gave out.
- 24:57Sean McAllister: So he is is in it.
- 24:59Sean McAllister: He is personally not just putting his name on a foundation, he is so passionate about this.
- 25:06Dayna Roselli: He really is.
- 25:06Dayna Roselli: So we we were able to catch up with Darren and uh pull him aside.
- 25:10Dayna Roselli: We talked a little bit about the foundation, also about how much he's enjoying Las Vegas, some of his favorite spots, and even some of his new music that he's just put out there.
- 25:20Dayna Roselli: I'm so excited to be here and just hear more about the foundation.
- 25:22Dayna Roselli: First of all, let's talk about the foundation.
- 25:24Dayna Roselli: This is super important to you, and we've seen as Las Vegans that you've really embraced this.
- 25:29SPEAKER_01: Uh yeah, it's it's an honor to serve in this community, just to really be a part of it.
- 25:33SPEAKER_01: Uh like this third year of the Beyond the Wall events really shows it's three years of support from people.
- 25:40SPEAKER_01: People willingly showing up and giving, people showing enthusiasm and support for all the programs that we try to do.
- 25:46SPEAKER_01: And uh it's really changing people's lives.
- 25:48SPEAKER_01: So to see that happen in three years is uh it's really amazing.
- 25:51SPEAKER_01: You can't ask for anything better than that.
- 25:53Sean McAllister: And uh Darren, why is it important for you to have such a strong commitment to the Las Vegas community and to youth of Las Vegas?
- 26:01SPEAKER_01: Um I feel like for me, uh giving to other people is really what gives me the feeling that I've been looking for my whole life, you know.
- 26:08SPEAKER_01: I was I was getting high like a lot of people that are in the programs getting scholarships, and it's like we're all just searching for a feeling.
- 26:14SPEAKER_01: And I feel like giving is really that feeling that as human beings, we are we able to change somebody else's life, touch their life.
- 26:19SPEAKER_01: That gives us that feeling of fulfillment.
- 26:21SPEAKER_01: And uh, you know, it keeps me in things that are going good in this world and just having a positive impact.
- 26:26SPEAKER_01: So I really try to keep that at the forefront no matter how busy my schedule is, you know.
- 26:29SPEAKER_01: I want to make sure that's a priority of my life because it makes me feel good and it makes the world benefit in the process.
- 26:34Dayna Roselli: We have a lot of people that listen to the podcast from all over the world, really, all over the country, um, that love Las Vegas.
- 26:39Dayna Roselli: What do you love about Las Vegas?
- 26:41SPEAKER_01: Oh man, uh I love the people first and foremost.
- 26:44SPEAKER_01: Um I love the the neighborhoods outside of the strip.
- 26:47SPEAKER_01: You know, people come in and they're on the strip and the strip is amazing and everything, but they have no idea the neighborhoods of you know, Summerlin and Henderson and all the little pockets in in between those and the the local restaurants and you know I just love everything that the Las Vegas locals love now that I'm getting to you know pick their brains and their point me where to go.
- 27:05SPEAKER_01: Uh so really restaurants, people, just the neighborhoods outside of the strip, but the strip as well, of course.
- 27:10Sean McAllister: And and do you have any hot spots that that you go to that are like your your go-to places?
- 27:16SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah.
- 27:17SPEAKER_01: Um I'm definitely you'll catch me at Hanks at uh Green Valley Ranch Casino a lot more than not.
- 27:23SPEAKER_01: Uh Pizza Rock is there as well.
- 27:25SPEAKER_01: Um you got Sushi Hero right there on Eastern, is one of my favorite spots.
- 27:29SPEAKER_01: Uh just to name a few scrambled on St.
- 27:31SPEAKER_01: Rose for brunch, you'll you'll see me around.
- 27:34Dayna Roselli: And you know, a lot of people listen to podcasts, listen to music.
- 27:37Dayna Roselli: So tell us about we saw your Instagram.
- 27:39Dayna Roselli: You got a new song out, right?
- 27:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I have a new song out.
- 27:41SPEAKER_01: It's called Unfazed.
- 27:42SPEAKER_01: Um something that the idea came to me when we were on the way to uh throw in the offseason at this park that we throw out here in Vegas, and uh it came to me and I was just mumbling it, and then I just came into a song, and it's really, you know, especially the hook, it talks about how like, you know, I've been hit with some things in my life, but you know, I'm still here.
- 28:00SPEAKER_01: I'm st it didn't phase me.
- 28:01SPEAKER_01: It may have knocked me down, it may have, but it didn't take me out for good.
- 28:04SPEAKER_01: So that's probably the motivation behind the song.
- 28:06Sean McAllister: So inspiration really does strike just about anywhere.
- 28:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it could be anywhere.
- 28:10SPEAKER_01: It could be waiting in the shopping lines having before, uh just sitting on the couch, watching something on TV.
- 28:15SPEAKER_01: Um when I worked at Sprouts, I would hear a song on the uh while I'm working, and it'd be like, oh wow, I can f I can sample that, I can do this, I can do that.
- 28:23SPEAKER_01: So it's really anywhere I try to keep my mind open.
- 28:25Dayna Roselli: Well, listen, we love having you here in Las Vegas.
- 28:27Dayna Roselli: You've done so much for the community.
- 28:28Dayna Roselli: We love to see you out and about.
- 28:29Dayna Roselli: We love you playing for the Raiders, so thanks for taking the time with us.
- 28:31SPEAKER_01: Oh no, absolutely.
- 28:32SPEAKER_01: Appreciate you guys.
- 28:34Sean McAllister: Darren is such a fun guy.
- 28:35Sean McAllister: He was so appreciative that that we were there to talk with him, but we were like, no, we appreciate you taking the time to talk with us.
- 28:43Dayna Roselli: Absolutely.
- 28:44Dayna Roselli: And if you want to see more of Darren, hear more from Darren as well.
- 28:48Dayna Roselli: A new episode just dropped of Real Sports on HBO.
- 28:52Dayna Roselli: And it focuses on Waller's own recovery along with many ways that he's now helping others, even just watching the trailer.
- 29:00Dayna Roselli: We're actually recording this on the day that it's going to come out, so we haven't watched it yet, but even watching the trailer is captivated.
- 29:06Dayna Roselli: So interesting.
- 29:07Sean McAllister: Yeah, I think watching this is going to give you uh a new appreciation for the guy that you watch on the football field doing great things every Sunday.
- 29:18Sean McAllister: So uh real sports on HBO featuring Darren Waller.
- 29:22Dayna Roselli: Hey, and by the way, Sean, we share the same birthday, me and Darren.
- 29:25Sean McAllister: Oh, happy belated to you and Darren.
- 29:28Dayna Roselli: We are Virgos.
- 29:29Dayna Roselli: I knew he was a good guy.
- 29:31Dayna Roselli: Yeah, we're 17 years apart, but guess who's older?
- 29:35Dayna Roselli: Anyway, happy birthday to Darren, who just had a September birthday.
- 29:39Dayna Roselli: And again, uh, if you want to hear more about Darren, go to that HBO Real Sports special that Sean just mentioned there toward the end.
- 29:46Dayna Roselli: And I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
- 29:47Sean McAllister: And also for more on the Darren Waller Foundation, you can go to Darrenwaller.org.
- 29:53Sean McAllister: Let's get to our tips.
- 29:57Dayna Roselli: All right, Sean, I've been dying to talk about this place I found.
- 30:02Dayna Roselli: And I kept putting it off because we had other things going on week after week.
- 30:05Dayna Roselli: But this is a little Mexican restaurant I found.
- 30:08Dayna Roselli: It's actually right near me, and I can't believe I didn't know it was there.
- 30:12Sean McAllister: Like almost within walking distance, right?
- 30:14Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 30:15Dayna Roselli: So there's, you know, I live um in a high-rise and it's kind of Central Vegas, just to the north of the Westgate.
- 30:21Dayna Roselli: But um, as you go east, you know, the community is it's a little bit older, let's put it that way, because it's kind of Central Vegas, is really where Las Vegas began.
- 30:30Dayna Roselli: So it gets older on the east side, gets newer as you go west, because that's how they built to the west and to the north.
- 30:37Dayna Roselli: Um, so it's an older neighborhood, but there's a couple different kind of like plaza-ish square areas there.
- 30:44Dayna Roselli: One's called Commercial Center that is known for a lot of different things.
- 30:48Dayna Roselli: It has a great Thai restaurant in it.
- 30:51Dayna Roselli: Um, Tiffany Cleaners was there for a very long time, and that was like the cleaners to the stars because all the show costumes would go there.
- 30:59Dayna Roselli: Um, there's a great longtime jeweler in there, all sorts of different things.
- 31:03Dayna Roselli: But there is a Mexican restaurant there that I discovered with a girlfriend of mine that lives in my building where, like, we wanted to go to Mexican and wanted to go someplace close.
- 31:11Dayna Roselli: So we went over there, and it looks like this cute little, just like Mexican house on the outside with this cute decor.
- 31:19Dayna Roselli: It's in a plaza and it's called La Bensidad.
- 31:23Dayna Roselli: And what it means, actually, I looked it up.
- 31:27Dayna Roselli: In Mexico, there are a lot of like shared housing and communities, so it's kind of like the patio is kind of the central, and then there's several rooms around it.
- 31:35Sean McAllister: Oh, okay.
- 31:36Dayna Roselli: And that's exactly what you get when you go in.
- 31:38Dayna Roselli: Really?
- 31:38Dayna Roselli: I don't even know where to start, so I need to run through this.
- 31:41Dayna Roselli: But when you walk in, Sean, it's like this area that you think is kind of the dining room.
- 31:45Dayna Roselli: There's some tables out there, fun, like colorful dolls all over knick-knacks.
- 31:52Dayna Roselli: Um just it's like you're in Mexico.
- 31:56Dayna Roselli: There's all sorts of just Mexican stuff all around.
- 32:00Dayna Roselli: But you think that's a room.
- 32:02Dayna Roselli: Then you walk into this other room, and that's actually the main dining room, and it literally looks like you're in someone's home.
- 32:08Dayna Roselli: There's a couple of long tables, or smaller tables, but even painted on the wall is like a red door and uh some decor on the walls, and just super festive.
- 32:19Dayna Roselli: The ceiling kind of looks like a sky.
- 32:22Dayna Roselli: So it's like you're out in this patio atmosphere sharing a meal with a lot of people that you don't know, but it kind of feels like you're sitting down for family dinner.
- 32:32Sean McAllister: So it's a fun atmosphere, though.
- 32:34Dayna Roselli: It's so fun.
- 32:35Dayna Roselli: Now, listen, the staff, some speak English, some do not, um, but they are so much fun because they'll laugh when they can't pick up on what you're saying, and then they'll call someone over that can speak English.
- 32:45Dayna Roselli: And so they have they're lighthearted, sometimes they're in costume.
- 32:49Dayna Roselli: If somebody orders something what kind of costume?
- 32:51Dayna Roselli: Like like Mexican, whatever the theme is of that weekend night, you don't know what it's gonna be.
- 32:56Dayna Roselli: They change all the time.
- 32:57Dayna Roselli: I've gone in a few times and there's different stuff going on.
- 33:00Dayna Roselli: They roll around and and sell some little kind of fun uh uh keychains and stuff like that by your table, like you're at a kind of a Mexican market.
- 33:10Dayna Roselli: When you order something hot, they bring out the uh they roll it out with the siren.
- 33:14Dayna Roselli: The siren starts going.
- 33:16Sean McAllister: Stop it.
- 33:16Sean McAllister: Like a like the fire truck siren.
- 33:18Dayna Roselli: Yes, a fire truck siren, and you're like, oh, somebody ordered something hot.
- 33:22Dayna Roselli: Um, it's on East Sahara, right near Cairn.
- 33:25Dayna Roselli: Or excuse me, I'm saying that wrong.
- 33:27Dayna Roselli: It's just south of East Sahara.
- 33:29Dayna Roselli: You can get there by driving through there, but it's actually at Karen and Paradise.
- 33:33Dayna Roselli: Um it's down the road, let's put it that way, of Cairn.
- 33:38Dayna Roselli: It's not right at the intersection of Karen and Paradise.
- 33:40Dayna Roselli: So um head east on Cairn before you get to Maryland Parkway, and it's there.
- 33:46Dayna Roselli: But if you've never um been, you've got to try it.
- 33:49Dayna Roselli: It's listen, the food's great.
- 33:51Dayna Roselli: It's a little bit slightly more expensive than your typical casual Mexican restaurant.
- 33:57Dayna Roselli: The fried ice cream is unreal, and they came, they come and they light it right on fire in front of you.
- 34:02Dayna Roselli: The Mexican coffee is delicious.
- 34:04Dayna Roselli: You get a cinnamon stick on there, brown sugar around the rim of your coffee cup, and your coffee cup is like an old, authentic, like clay Mexican coffee cup, and it's sweetened with some brown sugar.
- 34:17Dayna Roselli: It's almost like a cinnamon brown sugar taste.
- 34:20Dayna Roselli: Um, they have great soup.
- 34:23Dayna Roselli: They just started serving beer and wine just a couple weeks ago, and so that's a new kind of addition.
- 34:30Dayna Roselli: I could go on and on, but anyway, check it out.
- 34:33Dayna Roselli: Um, it's fabulous.
- 34:34Dayna Roselli: It's fabulous if you want a fun experience and literally want to feel like you just traveled to Mexico.
- 34:38Sean McAllister: And what is it called again?
- 34:40Dayna Roselli: La Vensidad.
- 34:41Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 34:42Dayna Roselli: I'm saying it, I'm trying to say it as much as I can.
- 34:43Dayna Roselli: How about if I spell it out too?
- 34:45Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 34:46Dayna Roselli: It is L A V-E-C-I-N-D-A-D.
- 34:51Dayna Roselli: They're on Instagram and they have a really fun account.
- 34:53Dayna Roselli: They shared one of my videos that I did there, so but I looked it up.
- 34:57Dayna Roselli: I had to Google it to make sure that I said it right, and that's how you pronounce it.
- 35:01Dayna Roselli: But go check it out.
- 35:02Dayna Roselli: Um, great place, and I just think I know, in fact, anyone who goes, write me after, and you'll say thank you.
- 35:12Sean McAllister: Oh, I I want to go.
- 35:13Sean McAllister: I love I love Mexican food.
- 35:16Sean McAllister: And when there's a really good spot, like you keep going back.
- 35:20Sean McAllister: It's very authentic.
- 35:21Sean McAllister: Obviously.
- 35:22Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's very authentic.
- 35:23Dayna Roselli: We go all the time.
- 35:23Dayna Roselli: We go just for coffee now.
- 35:25Dayna Roselli: Like it's crazy.
- 35:26Dayna Roselli: We'll be like, Wanna go for a coffee?
- 35:28Dayna Roselli: And then they know us now, and like it's so sweet.
- 35:30Dayna Roselli: They have a fun little hopscotch you can do in the right in the first room there.
- 35:34Dayna Roselli: Oh, because it kind of represents like that shared community thing.
- 35:37Dayna Roselli: Right, like that.
- 35:38Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so it's interesting.
- 35:39Sean McAllister: Oh, good tip.
- 35:40Sean McAllister: Yeah, good food, good atmosphere.
- 35:42Sean McAllister: Love it.
- 35:43Sean McAllister: Um, so this is something that we talked about last week, and we were planning on doing last week.
- 35:49Sean McAllister: Um, but due to circumstances, we didn't.
- 35:52Dayna Roselli: We didn't.
- 35:52Dayna Roselli: I forgot to bring the beer over.
- 35:55Sean McAllister: We are doing a taste test of the Vegas Vicky Blonde Ale.
- 36:01Dayna Roselli: Now, this is brand new, and it's in partnership with Circa Las Vegas and Abel Baker Brewing Company.
- 36:08Dayna Roselli: They created the beer, they're partnering with Circa.
- 36:11Dayna Roselli: Um, and you can exclusively get it at Circa, which is great because you know they have the huge Vegas Vicky sign in the middle of Circa.
- 36:19Dayna Roselli: So it kind of complements that.
- 36:21Dayna Roselli: There's a bunch of bars, and especially the Vegas Vicky bar that you can get this beer at.
- 36:26Dayna Roselli: And I think they only sell it in, what are we doing?
- 36:29Dayna Roselli: A nine-ounce can?
- 36:30Dayna Roselli: I think we're doing a nine-ounce.
- 36:31Dayna Roselli: Oh, it's a 16-ounce can.
- 36:32Dayna Roselli: 16 ounce, sorry, and it's nine dollars.
- 36:34Dayna Roselli: Nine dollars, there we go.
- 36:35Dayna Roselli: Nine dollars for a 16-ounce can.
- 36:37Sean McAllister: And a 16-ounce can like is enough to get you through an hour and a half show.
- 36:42Dayna Roselli: It is.
- 36:42Dayna Roselli: I mean, I've got a little teeny bit because I'm I'm not a huge day drinker and we're recording during the day.
- 36:48Sean McAllister: And I've got a pint.
- 36:49Dayna Roselli: And Sean's got a pint.
- 36:51Dayna Roselli: Go to our social media to see what this looks like.
- 36:54Dayna Roselli: And we're uh we're trying it out.
- 36:56Dayna Roselli: We better try it while we still got the fizz going, right?
- 36:58Dayna Roselli: Should we cheers first?
- 36:59Dayna Roselli: Okay, let's cheers.
- 37:00Dayna Roselli: Here we go.
- 37:02Dayna Roselli: Did you hear that or like that sound effect?
- 37:04Dayna Roselli: I like that.
- 37:04Dayna Roselli: Here we go.
- 37:10Sean McAllister: Ooh, that's almost got a like a citrusy refreshing taste to it.
- 37:15Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's definitely light, hence the blonde, right?
- 37:18Dayna Roselli: Is that what it means usually when it's a blonde beer?
- 37:20Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 37:20Dayna Roselli: It's a little bit lighter, just like when I get blonde roast at Starbucks.
- 37:23Sean McAllister: Exactly.
- 37:25Sean McAllister: But side note, did you know that the light roast of coffee is actually uh the most caffeinated?
- 37:31Sean McAllister: Oh no, I didn't.
- 37:32Sean McAllister: A dark roast has less caffeine than a light roast.
- 37:35Sean McAllister: Interesting, interesting.
- 37:37Sean McAllister: Back to beer.
- 37:37Dayna Roselli: Back to beer in the blonde.
- 37:39Dayna Roselli: Um, yeah, this is definitely very light, but refreshing.
- 37:42Dayna Roselli: You're right.
- 37:42Dayna Roselli: It's got a refreshing taste to it.
- 37:45Sean McAllister: We're each taking another sip of it.
- 37:47Dayna Roselli: No, no, we're taking sips.
- 37:48Dayna Roselli: We're leaving it on.
- 37:50Dayna Roselli: It's good.
- 37:51Dayna Roselli: It's good.
- 37:51Dayna Roselli: It does remind me a little bit, I'm not gonna lie, of my college days.
- 37:55Sean McAllister: Does it?
- 37:56Dayna Roselli: It does.
- 37:56Dayna Roselli: It's got kind of that, and I think because I drank a lot of light beer in college before like craft breweries and and IPAs, you know what I mean and all that kind of stuff became popular or I couldn't afford it anyway.
- 38:08Dayna Roselli: Um, but this it doesn't taste cheap.
- 38:10Dayna Roselli: It tastes very refreshing, and like you said, it's got that little Yeah, it's like a lemony citrus.
- 38:15Dayna Roselli: Citrus.
- 38:16Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 38:18Sean McAllister: Lemon lime, I feel like it might be more limey than lemony.
- 38:21Dayna Roselli: If that's a word, right?
- 38:24Sean McAllister: Let me have another sip to make sure.
- 38:27Dayna Roselli: Ooh.
- 38:28Sean McAllister: I'm getting more lime.
- 38:29Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 38:30Dayna Roselli: See, already that little thing.
- 38:31Dayna Roselli: I'm like, all right, feeling good.
- 38:33Sean McAllister: Oh, you chugged your shot.
- 38:34Dayna Roselli: I'm a lightweight.
- 38:35Sean McAllister: You're your one ounce.
- 38:38Dayna Roselli: My one ounce.
- 38:39Dayna Roselli: Um, yeah, it's really good.
- 38:40Dayna Roselli: I like it.
- 38:41Dayna Roselli: It's refreshing.
- 38:42Dayna Roselli: So if you're going, if you really like the darker, sharp beers, this probably isn't the one, but I think you know that going in, knowing it's Vegas Vicky Blonde.
- 38:49Sean McAllister: But for a light, uh, a light L, I think this has a ton of flavor.
- 38:53Dayna Roselli: It does.
- 38:54Dayna Roselli: Very flavorful.
- 38:55Sean McAllister: Which is nice.
- 38:55Dayna Roselli: You're right, you're right.
- 38:56Dayna Roselli: So you can get it there at Circa.
- 38:59Dayna Roselli: Thank you for sending over a can for us to try.
- 39:02Dayna Roselli: I like it.
- 39:02Dayna Roselli: And it's you gotta keep the can because it's like so Vegas.
- 39:07Sean McAllister: I mean, Vegas Vicky, the big neon sign of Vegas Vicky is right on the side.
- 39:12Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 39:13Dayna Roselli: Listen, everyone, thanks for joining us.

- 40:05Sean McAllister: YouTube videos, podcast episodes like Vegas Revealed that have recently talked about that topic.
- 40:13Sean McAllister: You'll be able to click right there within the app, listen to a podcast clip or watch a YouTube video about what you're exploring at that moment, which is really cool.

- 40:47Dayna Roselli: That's what we have really enjoyed about it because of our news background.
- 40:51Dayna Roselli: We like up-to-date information.
- 40:53Sean McAllister: They're very meticulous.
- 40:55Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 40:55Sean McAllister: And they have a goal of having all of the correct information all of the time.
- 41:01Dayna Roselli: Yeah, definitely.

- 41:03Dayna Roselli: Uh show notes, link, you'll get an email right away, and then you'll download.
- 41:10Sean McAllister: And next week on Vegas Revealed, uh our uh thoughts and our experience going to see David Blaine over at the Resorts World Theater.
