  The San Jose Spotlight reports that the owners

  of the Stanford Terrace Inn are suing the city

  of Palo Alto to halt demolition on the former

  hotel. The site has recently been used as a temporary

  residence for Stanford faculty members and students,

  though has been cited for numerous safety and

  fire code violations. In the suit, the owners

  also allege racist targeting of the Stanford

  Terrace, as the owners are Asian American. And

  in Portland, heat advisories will continue for

  most of western Oregon and southwest Washington

  this week. According to the National Weather

  Service, the heat will exacerbate the wildfire

  smoke still blowing in west of the Cascades.

  the Willamette Valley and is under a red flag

  warning for wind gusts up to 40 mph and humidity
