- 0:41Speaker 7: National Sponge Candy Day. And I think this is kind
- 0:44Speaker 7: of an interesting day. It's National Telephone Poll Appreciation Day.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Gotta love those telephone poles.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Interesting. Well, and then we just appreciate them, and so
- 0:52Speaker 2: we're good. So you drive by one, and by the way,
- 0:55Speaker 2: it's also National Cat and Dog Gut Health Awareness Day.
- 0:59Speaker 2: So if you want to check your dog's gut, we
- 1:01Speaker 2: recommend the app Love Pup Plus.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Absolutely. Love Pup Plus. Go download the free app. It's
- 1:06Speaker 1: on the Apple Store, and it's on the Google Play Store,
- 1:09Speaker 1: and it will help you with your dog. I'm telling you,
- 1:11Speaker 1: it's my wife's. passion project with my sister it's free
- 1:15Speaker 1: and it will help you run your dog's life um
- 1:18Speaker 1: it's also something else today but i'm gonna get to
- 1:20Speaker 1: that in a second after we say hi to britney
- 1:21Speaker 1: britney what's up good morning you're on the air hi hi.
- 1:26Speaker 8: Um so i was calling about the what i wish
- 1:29Speaker 8: i would have known getting into a relationship.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Right you're in a relationship if you would have known
- 1:33Speaker 1: about it ahead of time maybe you would have got
- 1:36Speaker 1: out maybe you wouldn't okay so go ahead Yeah.
- 1:39Speaker 8: So I am married to him, but he is a twin.
- 1:45Speaker 8: And prior, him and his twin married sisters. And they
- 1:50Speaker 8: had kids with the sisters. And then both divorced the sisters.
- 1:56Speaker 8: But this is where it gets a little more interesting.
- 2:00Speaker 8: His ex-wife married my baby daddy's cousin.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Wow, that's confusing. I lost the family tree.
- 2:07Speaker 1: What do you wish you didn't know before? Did you
- 2:10Speaker 1: know any of this already going into the relationship? No,
- 2:13Speaker 1: I knew none of this.
- 2:14Speaker 8: And this is where it gets, this is where it's
- 2:15Speaker 8: going to get messy. You guys need to get out
- 2:17Speaker 8: your red string and draw a map.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Okay, sure.
- 2:20Speaker 8: Because I have a son, right? So I had a
- 2:23Speaker 8: son from a previous relationship. And my baby daddy has
- 2:28Speaker 8: a cousin, okay? So he married a girl and his
- 2:33Speaker 8: cousin married a girl. And this girl had a child. Now,
- 2:39Speaker 8: my husband's baby mama married her husband. He was married
- 2:45Speaker 8: to this woman who had a child. So my husband's
- 2:50Speaker 8: baby mama, so my stepdaughter and my son share a
- 2:56Speaker 8: step-sibling and cousin by marriage.
- 2:59Speaker 2: That's wild.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Okay. So, but let me just get to this part.
- 3:03Speaker 1: You wish you would have known you're married to this guy.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Then you find out he's got a twin brother.
- 3:07Speaker 6: No.
- 3:07Speaker 1: And then you find out like you're in like at
- 3:09Speaker 1: what point are you in when you find this stuff out?
- 3:10Speaker 1: How far are you along?
- 3:12Speaker 8: Um, it was probably, well, actually, no, it was the
- 3:14Speaker 8: first date. It was the first date. He said, I'm
- 3:16Speaker 8: going to be completely honest with you about my life.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Cause he had, well, then that really doesn't fit.
- 3:21Speaker 1: This category because the category, no, because the cat, the
- 3:25Speaker 1: thing we're talking about is like, you're in a relationship
- 3:28Speaker 1: with somebody and then you find this stuff out. You're
- 3:30Speaker 1: early enough to get out. You could have got out first.
- 3:33Speaker 8: Date talking for quite a while. He could have dropped
- 3:36Speaker 8: that bomb early enough.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Brittany, are you guys in the East Valley? Because I'm
- 3:39Speaker 2: pretty sure I know the brothers and the sisters.
- 3:41Speaker 9: No. Isn't there a thing where it's like when twins
- 3:48Speaker 9: have kids with, like, sisters or siblings that their kids
- 3:52Speaker 9: are like brothers and cousins at the same time yeah.
- 3:56Speaker 8: Yeah i don't know i've always oh weird.
- 3:58Speaker 9: Yeah i always heard that yeah if you're identical twins
- 4:03Speaker 9: you have the same genetic makeup as your twins so
- 4:05Speaker 9: then technically your cousin could.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Be your brother you're like super cousins yeah.
- 4:10Speaker 8: I've always heard that i didn't know so It's one big,
- 4:13Speaker 8: one big happy family. And thankfully, we all get along
- 4:15Speaker 8: really great.
- 4:16Speaker 9: Oh, that's good.
- 4:17Speaker 1: I didn't follow it, but you explained it really well.
- 4:19Speaker 1: That makes sense. So thank you, Brittany.
- 4:21Speaker 10: I told you to get out.
- 4:22Speaker 6: The red tape. I know.
- 4:23Speaker 9: Just know it was messy.
- 4:25Speaker 1: But you could have walked away.
- 4:27Speaker 8: I should have a Hallmark movie about it.
- 4:29Speaker 1: You could have walked away first date and said, I
- 4:32Speaker 1: don't want any part of this. But now you have
- 4:33Speaker 1: a happy life. So thank you, Brittany. Thanks for calling in.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Of course. Bye-bye.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Bye.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Today is also, because it was national this, national that.
- 4:41Speaker 11: Yes.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Today's kind of a famous day. It's September 21. Earth, wind,
- 4:48Speaker 1: and fire day. Yeah, so the song is called September,
- 5:07Speaker 1: and it's Do You Remember the 21st Day of September?
- 5:09Speaker 1: And I didn't realize how many different versions there are
- 5:11Speaker 1: of this song. I think Taylor Swift does a version
- 5:13Speaker 1: of this song. Am I right?
- 5:15Speaker 12: She does?
- 5:22Speaker 6: That's it.
- 5:49Speaker 1: So, it's also my anniversary.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Happy anniversary!
- 5:54Speaker 1: And I'm so glad, when we got married, this song
- 5:56Speaker 1: was already out when we got married, but it wasn't
- 5:58Speaker 1: on purpose. Right. But it's worked out so great for
- 6:00Speaker 1: me because I remember that date. And every time like
- 6:03Speaker 1: today on Instagram, every post you scroll on Instagram is
- 6:06Speaker 1: going to be the clip for Earth, Wind and Fire.
- 6:08Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Right.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Which reminds you, keeps you on your toes. So did
- 6:12Speaker 2: you did you prepare? Did you get a prize, a
- 6:14Speaker 2: proper prize for your wife?
- 6:15Speaker 1: I did.
- 6:16Speaker 6: I did.
- 6:17Speaker 1: And it was great. It went over great. But let
- 6:19Speaker 1: me tell you this. I was thinking about days. I
- 6:21Speaker 1: know a guy that got married on New Year's Eve, 1999,
- 6:25Speaker 1: so that he would always remember 1999. And I saw
- 6:29Speaker 1: somebody get married not that long ago on 9-11. And
- 6:33Speaker 1: I kind of feel that's like, ooh, gosh, yikes.
- 6:35Speaker 2: It's not as fun.
- 6:36Speaker 1: You can plan around that.
- 6:37Speaker 2: You should have picked 10-10.
- 6:38Speaker 1: But then again, I try to go through their point
- 6:40Speaker 1: of view. It's like, well, maybe that's the date the
- 6:42Speaker 1: venue was open. That's the date, whatever, whatever. But then
- 6:43Speaker 1: it's still like 9-11. Like, at least for me, September
- 6:46Speaker 1: 11 or September 21st is a happy day. And I
- 6:48Speaker 1: remember being around, like, 9-11, oh, God, oh, God, I'm
- 6:51Speaker 1: so sorry. Like, every day on your anniversary, when you
- 6:53Speaker 1: celebrate it, every year on your anniversary... You've got to
- 6:56Speaker 1: remember the tragic events of September 11th.
- 6:57Speaker 2: There's a little shadow.
- 6:58Speaker 13: Yeah, and then you almost kind of, I would think,
- 7:00Speaker 13: feel guilty for celebrating all day.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Right.
- 7:02Speaker 14: Yeah, I was married on Pi Day.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Pi Day?
- 7:05Speaker 2: 314?
- 7:05Speaker 1: Yeah. Oh, that's good. That comes up a lot in radio.
- 7:09Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 7:09Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 7:09Speaker 1: It was like, it's so you're, it was three, one, four. Oh,
- 7:12Speaker 1: did you know that already?
- 7:13Speaker 9: Uh, no, I really wanted three 13 because Kadeem's basketball
- 7:17Speaker 9: number was three and mine was 13.
- 7:18Speaker 14: I thought that'd be.
- 7:19Speaker 9: Really cute, but three, one, four worked fine.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Three with pie.
- 7:21Speaker 9: Also, we didn't really have a choice.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Well, happy anniversary to my wife, Blake.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Ooh.
- 7:44Speaker 1: What's the vibe for horoscopes today?
- 7:46Speaker 9: I am letting you know the exact thing that your
- 7:49Speaker 9: zodiac sign does to get back at someone.
- 7:52Speaker 14: Who does you dirty.
- 7:53Speaker 9: So if it's your birthday today, you are a Virgo,
- 7:55Speaker 9: and you share a birthday with a ton of celebrities.
- 7:58Speaker 9: Abby Lee Miller, Jason Derulo, Stephen King, Bill Murray, David Coulier,
- 8:02Speaker 9: Alfonso Ribeiro, and Lindsey Stirling.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Wow.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Yeah, lots of celebrities.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Are we still in Virgo season?
- 8:08Speaker 9: We are still in Virgo season, but only till.
- 8:12Speaker 1: We got a Virgo on the line right now. Roxanne.
- 8:15Speaker 5: Yes.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Are you a Virgo? I am.
- 8:18Speaker 9: All right. Awesome.
- 8:19Speaker 7: Okay.
- 8:20Speaker 9: Virgos, how you guys get back at someone who does
- 8:23Speaker 9: you dirty, you will do a whole breakdown of their
- 8:25Speaker 9: life and their childhood.
- 8:27Speaker 14: You will pinpoint.
- 8:28Speaker 9: Exactly why they're the worst human ever, and then you
- 8:31Speaker 9: will find the one thing that they are slacking on,
- 8:33Speaker 9: whether that's their job, their family, or their confidence, and
- 8:35Speaker 9: you will throw jabs at them until they break. Interesting.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Interesting. It's not on purpose to get on the break.
- 8:45Speaker 1: They just break and then we feel bad. Oh, I
- 8:47Speaker 1: didn't know you were going to cry.
- 8:50Speaker 9: You feel bad?
- 8:51Speaker 1: I feel bad? You feel bad. You feel?
- 8:54Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 8:54Speaker 9: Perfect.
- 8:56Speaker 2: All right, Roxanne.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Thanks for calling in, Roxanne.
- 8:59Speaker 15: Thank you.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Goretti. Is that your name? I said it right?
- 9:02Speaker 15: Goretti?
- 9:03Speaker 1: Yes. That's your first name? That is my first name.
- 9:06Speaker 1: That's a very unique name. I've never heard of that before.
- 9:08Speaker 1: What's the story behind that name?
- 9:11Speaker 2: So I just know that she's a saint. Her name
- 9:13Speaker 2: is Maria Goretti.
- 9:14Speaker 1: She's from Italy, I think. How does that make you feel,
- 9:18Speaker 1: being named after someone like that?
- 9:22Speaker 4: To be honest, I don't like the name.
- 9:24Speaker 1: And how about Rich, being a Catholic schoolboy, not knowing that?
- 9:27Speaker 1: I have never heard of that one. I thought it
- 9:29Speaker 1: was like, well, either way. Well, what's your sign, Goretti?
- 9:33Speaker 9: I am a Scorpio. All right, Scorpios, this is how
- 9:36Speaker 9: you get back at someone who did you dirty. You Scorpios,
- 9:39Speaker 9: you will gather any information on them that you can
- 9:41Speaker 9: for like the next six months. Then you're going to
- 9:43Speaker 9: hold on to it until they're having the best day
- 9:45Speaker 9: of their life. And then you're going to drop a
- 9:46Speaker 9: truth bomb that completely dismantles their entire world.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Sounds about right.
- 9:52Speaker 14: Yeah, you Scorpios can be a little evil sometimes.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Yes, we can.
- 9:58Speaker 1: All right, Grady, thanks for listening. Thanks for calling in.
- 10:00Speaker 2: In.
- 10:00Speaker 9: Okay.
- 10:00Speaker 6: Bye.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 10:01Speaker 1: How about Pisces?
- 10:02Speaker 14: Rich, this is how you get your look back.
- 10:05Speaker 9: You will write a scathing, poetry-level tell-all about them. But
- 10:10Speaker 9: the thing is, though, you will rewrite history. So you're
- 10:12Speaker 9: going to write it.
- 10:13Speaker 14: To where you're the tragic victim.
- 10:15Speaker 9: And then you're going to turn the entire print group
- 10:17Speaker 9: against them while looking completely innocent. When in reality, you
- 10:20Speaker 9: were the one with the problem the whole time.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Pisces are so extra. Can't deny it, but we are extra.
- 10:27Speaker 9: Hey, that's how you get back.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Because we care more.
- 10:29Speaker 14: You gotta.
- 10:30Speaker 1: How about Libras?
- 10:31Speaker 4: Kyle?
- 10:33Speaker 9: How you get back at someone who did you dirty,
- 10:34Speaker 9: you will become best friends with their enemy or their
- 10:38Speaker 9: ex completely by accident, quote unquote.
- 10:40Speaker 14: By accident.
- 10:41Speaker 9: But just make sure or you're going to do this
- 10:43Speaker 9: just to make sure that they have to see your
- 10:45Speaker 9: face every single time they try to move on.
- 10:47Speaker 6: And then go, hi.
- 10:49Speaker 9: So good to see you.
- 10:50Speaker 12: What have you been up to?
- 10:52Speaker 2: Yes, exactly like that.
- 10:56Speaker 1: How about Leo's?
- 10:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm a Leo.
- 10:58Speaker 9: So us Leo's, how we get back at someone who
- 11:00Speaker 9: does us dirty, we will pull off the ultimate upgrade.
- 11:03Speaker 9: We will immediately post our best pictures, start thriving publicly
- 11:07Speaker 9: and privately. And then we're going to act like we
- 11:08Speaker 9: don't even remember their name just to destroy their ego.
- 11:12Speaker 2: So just to get even, you're going to thrive publicly.
- 11:15Speaker 6: Exactly.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Like you get a great job, build a great career,
- 11:18Speaker 2: but that's not on your own. That's just to get even.
- 11:20Speaker 6: Exactly.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Got it.
- 11:21Speaker 6: All right.
- 11:22Speaker 1: If we didn't get your sign, they're all posted on
- 11:23Speaker 1: our website, johnjainrich.com. This website, Ranker.com, asks people to vote
- 11:36Speaker 1: for the most difficult songs to sing at karaoke.
- 11:40Speaker 2: Ooh.
- 11:42Speaker 1: And I have the list of the songs that you
- 11:45Speaker 1: should definitely avoid, especially if you're a novice.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Anything slow.
- 11:49Speaker 1: What is a novice?
- 11:49Speaker 12: Anything Whitney Houston.
- 11:50Speaker 14: I was going to say, that song.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Don't do that at karaoke. You're not going to get
- 11:56Speaker 2: it right. I will always love you.
- 11:57Speaker 1: That's the one. You said novice? What's a novice?
- 11:58Speaker 6: Yeah, what is that?
- 11:59Speaker 1: Novice is like a rookie.
- 12:00Speaker 9: Oh, okay.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Beginner.
- 12:01Speaker 1: I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston is number
- 12:03Speaker 1: one on this list.
- 12:04Speaker 2: It should be.
- 12:04Speaker 16: Number one.
- 12:05Speaker 1: So what I did is, I'm not going to tell
- 12:06Speaker 1: you the other ones that are on here. I took,
- 12:08Speaker 1: since there's four of us in here, I took five songs.
- 12:11Speaker 1: I wrote them down on a piece of paper and
- 12:13Speaker 1: put them in a hat. Here, I'm mixing them up.
- 12:15Speaker 17: Oh, no.
- 12:16Speaker 9: Wait, am I going to know the lyrics to.
- 12:17Speaker 6: Some of these songs?
- 12:18Speaker 3: I know.
- 12:18Speaker 12: I just said I'm about to Google lyrics, too.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Peyton, the good news is you can Google lyrics if
- 12:22Speaker 1: you don't know the song.
- 12:23Speaker 11: Okay.
- 12:23Speaker 1: So what I did is, and I have these songs
- 12:26Speaker 1: in this hat.
- 12:27Speaker 6: Okay.
- 12:27Speaker 1: And we each pull them, and then we have to
- 12:30Speaker 1: sing that song. Oh, my goodness. And we'll see how
- 12:32Speaker 1: hard they are to sing.
- 12:33Speaker 13: John Jay's karaoke challenge.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Yeah, so don't open it yet. Just take one out. Okay. Okay,
- 12:37Speaker 1: take one out, but don't open it. And my handwriting's terrible.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Take one out.
- 12:40Speaker 2: All right, hold on, hold on.
- 12:42Speaker 14: I don't want anyone picking mine.
- 12:43Speaker 1: So I will get a.
- 12:44Speaker 6: Oh, okay.
- 12:45Speaker 2: There you go.
- 12:46Speaker 12: Did you get yours, John Jay?
- 12:47Speaker 1: No, I'll take.
- 12:47Speaker 12: Oh, you're taking the last one?
- 12:48Speaker 1: I'll take whatever.
- 12:50Speaker 12: Oh, look at you, so confident. I'll just take whatever.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Oh. You pass to me, I'll take one.
- 12:54Speaker 15: Okay, okay.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh.
- 12:57Speaker 12: When do we get to look?
- 12:58Speaker 1: I'm scared.
- 12:58Speaker 15: Wait, wait, wait.
- 12:59Speaker 1: You know what we can do? The worst singer out
- 13:00Speaker 1: of the four of us has to do the fifth song.
- 13:02Speaker 9: No, because that's me.
- 13:04Speaker 15: Okay.
- 13:05Speaker 1: So, let's see. So, Peyton, go ahead. You open yours first.
- 13:09Speaker 14: Take On Me?
- 13:09Speaker 9: What song is that?
- 13:10Speaker 6: Take On Me. Take On Me.
- 13:12Speaker 1: It's Shaquille O'Neal's favorite song.
- 13:14Speaker 12: I want to say it's in the Mario game.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Wait, I need to look at the lyrics.
- 13:17Speaker 12: It's in the Super Mario movie.
- 13:19Speaker 18: Hold on.
- 13:21Speaker 2: It hasn't started yet. Got a long intro.
- 13:24Speaker 10: It does.
- 13:25Speaker 9: I don't know the way to describe it. I don't
- 13:28Speaker 9: even know how to start it.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Look at the words. One point, I'll tell you when
- 13:33Speaker 1: to start.
- 13:33Speaker 9: Okay.
- 13:35Speaker 2: I'll help you out. Just get going. Recognize it?
- 13:39Speaker 9: I recognize it.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Okay, here we go. Here we go. Talking away.
- 13:43Speaker 9: Talking away.
- 13:44Speaker 14: I don't know what, I don't know the beat of it.
- 13:47Speaker 2: I know, I know right here.
- 13:50Speaker 9: I know that part. I can't, I don't know the
- 13:53Speaker 9: freaking beat.
- 13:54Speaker 2: I know the beginning part's hard. I don't know the beat.
- 13:57Speaker 1: All right, let's go rich. Let's go boy, girl, boy, girl.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Um, I have pulled Rap God by Eminem.
- 14:02Speaker 12: Oh, I don't know that one either.
- 14:03Speaker 2: I don't know that one. Oh, it's such a great song.
- 14:05Speaker 9: How do you get into that one?
- 14:06Speaker 2: What is that song?
- 14:08Speaker 14: How are we supposed to say karaoke if we don't know?
- 14:11Speaker 12: That's why they're difficult, I guess. That's why they're on
- 14:13Speaker 12: the list.
- 14:13Speaker 18: I was going to go easy on you, not to
- 14:15Speaker 18: hurt your feelings, but I'm only going to get this
- 14:18Speaker 18: one chance.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Six minutes, six minutes. Something's wrong. I can feel it.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Six minutes. Slim Shady, you're on. just a feeling I've
- 14:25Speaker 2: got like something's about to happen but I don't know
- 14:28Speaker 2: what if that means what it means.
- 14:30Speaker 18: When I'm in trouble big trouble and he's as bananas
- 14:33Speaker 18: as you say I'm not taking any chances you are
- 14:36Speaker 18: just what the doctor ordered I'm beginning to feel like
- 14:39Speaker 18: a rat god rat god all my people from the.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Front and the back back nod That's enough, please, God.
- 14:48Speaker 1: All right, Kyle, let's see which one you get.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Oh, gosh.
- 14:52Speaker 12: Okay, hold on, hold on.
- 14:53Speaker 9: Hold on, hold on.
- 14:54Speaker 14: I'm nervous.
- 14:55Speaker 1: What do you get?
- 14:57Speaker 19: Stop it!
- 14:57Speaker 1: You said this was number one! Oh, you got the
- 14:59Speaker 1: number one. I put the number one in there before
- 15:01Speaker 1: you guys guessed what number one was. You got Whitney Houston,
- 15:04Speaker 1: I Always Love You.
- 15:05Speaker 20: Wow.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Here we go.
- 15:06Speaker 2: I don't know what it is.
- 15:10Speaker 12: Wait, doesn't she start acapella?
- 15:12Speaker 6: Like, if I.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Well, it could be the Dolly Parton version.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Yeah, you're doing it.
- 15:17Speaker 9: Should stay.
- 15:17Speaker 12: Wait, no, because I feel like you started at the
- 15:19Speaker 12: wrong part.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Okay, you start.
- 15:21Speaker 9: Right here, that's it.
- 15:23Speaker 14: Should stay.
- 15:24Speaker 1: I will always be.
- 15:27Speaker 13: I would only be in your way.
- 15:34Speaker 2: So I'll go.
- 15:35Speaker 9: But I know.
- 15:42Speaker 13: I'll think of you every step of the way.
- 15:50Speaker 1: And I will always love you.
- 15:59Speaker 7: Oh, man.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Holy smokes.
- 16:00Speaker 9: That was good, guys.
- 16:01Speaker 1: That was good. That was good. That was really good.
- 16:06Speaker 1: I got mine here.
- 16:06Speaker 12: What did you get?
- 16:07Speaker 1: Mine sucks. What is it? Uh, chandelier. See ya.
- 16:10Speaker 9: Oh, I wish I had that one.
- 16:12Speaker 1: I want that one. Can we switch? Yeah, I'd rather
- 16:16Speaker 1: take on me.
- 16:16Speaker 9: I would rather have chandelier.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Where does it go? Party girls don't get hurt.
- 16:21Speaker 14: Hum with me, hum with me.
- 16:24Speaker 10: Mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm.
- 16:29Speaker 1: I got that part. One, two, three, one, two, three.
- 16:30Speaker 1: You're supposed to be doing it right now. Party girls.
- 16:34Speaker 6: One, two, three, three.
- 16:36Speaker 9: One, two, three, one, two, three, three.
- 16:38Speaker 1: One, two, three, one, two, three, three. Throw them back
- 16:42Speaker 1: till I lose count. I'm going to swing from the chandelier.
- 16:52Speaker 1: From the chandelier I'm gonna live like tomorrow doesn't exist
- 16:57Speaker 1: Like it doesn't exist I'm gonna fly like a bird
- 17:00Speaker 1: through the night And I'm out.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Those are all terrible to have to do.
- 17:05Speaker 6: I'm so jealous.
- 17:06Speaker 14: I wish I had that one.
- 17:07Speaker 2: That was good, though.
- 17:08Speaker 12: You did great.
- 17:09Speaker 1: The worst song to sing. Top ten. Somebody Loved by Queen,
- 17:13Speaker 1: Chandelier Sia, Take On Me by A-Ha, Unchained Melody by
- 17:17Speaker 1: Righteous Brothers, All By Myself, Celine Dion, My Heart Will
- 17:20Speaker 1: Go On by Celine Dion, Rap God, number four, Dream On, Aerosmith,
- 17:24Speaker 1: Bohemian Rhapsody, and number one is I Will Always Love
- 17:26Speaker 1: You by Whitney Houston. Yeah. So we got one song
- 17:29Speaker 1: left up here in the hat. Do we pick the
- 17:32Speaker 1: best singer, which was Kyle, or the worst singer?
- 17:33Speaker 12: I feel like you're getting paid a chance to redeem herself.
- 17:35Speaker 6: Okay.
- 17:35Speaker 12: Because she actually is a very good singer.
- 17:36Speaker 9: I am not a good singer, but also- Yes, you are.
- 17:39Speaker 9: Who knows the lyrics to that song?
- 17:40Speaker 1: Not me. Lots of people.
- 17:42Speaker 12: My son does from the Mario movie.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Okay. What song is that?
- 17:45Speaker 14: Oh, Emotions, Mariah Carey.
- 17:47Speaker 6: Come on.
- 17:48Speaker 12: Mariah Carey songs are all kind of tough.
- 17:58Speaker 9: Got me feeling emotions. Deeper than I've ever dreamed of.
- 18:06Speaker 9: You got me feeling emotions.
- 18:10Speaker 14: Higher than the heavens above.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Bring it home, pig.
- 18:15Speaker 9: I feel good.
- 18:15Speaker 14: I feel nice.
- 18:16Speaker 9: I've never felt so satisfied.
- 18:19Speaker 2: I don't know what song you're singing, but it's good.
- 18:23Speaker 9: I'm in love. I'm alive. Intoxicated. Flying high.
- 18:28Speaker 2: No, Emotions by Mariah Carey.
- 18:30Speaker 1: What song is this?
- 18:31Speaker 9: Mariah Carey.
- 18:32Speaker 2: Yes.
- 18:32Speaker 9: This is weird.
- 18:34Speaker 1: But I want to throw away my headphones.
- 18:37Speaker 2: I got to get to this.
- 18:38Speaker 9: You got me feeling emotional.
- 18:42Speaker 6: What?
- 18:45Speaker 1: There you go.
- 18:46Speaker 2: You nailed that part.
- 18:49Speaker 12: That was good.
- 18:51Speaker 9: It's the high note.
- 19:00Speaker 14: All right, very nice.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Those are the top ten hardest karaoke songs to sing
- 19:09Speaker 1: of all time. I think we all agree. Yes?
- 19:11Speaker 14: Yeah, those are hard.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Yeah, those are terrible.
- 19:12Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Hey, it's time for stacks and hacks. I have stacks
- 19:24Speaker 1: of information. Rich has life hacks. This is random information
- 19:27Speaker 1: that can help you throughout the day. It's just good
- 19:29Speaker 1: knowledge to have. A study found being in shape can
- 19:34Speaker 1: make you a calmer person. Physically fit people are around
- 19:39Speaker 1: eight times less likely to get angry or lose their
- 19:42Speaker 1: cool and stressful situations.
- 19:44Speaker 2: That makes sense. You're probably too tired.
- 19:46Speaker 12: Tell it to my sister. She's very in shape.
- 19:50Speaker 9: Well, hi, Strum.
- 19:51Speaker 12: I love you, but Strum.
- 19:53Speaker 1: They say there's just more evidence that exercise is good
- 19:56Speaker 1: for your physical and mental health, except unless you're Kyle's sister.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Does anybody here know what a darty is? A darty?
- 20:03Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 20:03Speaker 8: What?
- 20:04Speaker 9: A daytime party.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Daytime party, which isn't that unusual. They usually involve booze, music,
- 20:10Speaker 1: and hanging out. But this is the latest trend on
- 20:13Speaker 1: college campuses is a wellness darty. It's different.
- 20:19Speaker 9: Are they all getting like IVs and stuff?
- 20:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:22Speaker 9: For their pregame.
- 20:23Speaker 1: There's Pilates or yoga, a run, an ice bath, and
- 20:26Speaker 1: a coffee or matcha afterwards. These aren't small liberal arts colleges.
- 20:29Speaker 1: They're picking up popular schools like the University of Miami,
- 20:32Speaker 1: University of Arizona. The University of Florida, Florida State University,
- 20:35Speaker 1: Arizona State University, Syracuse University and University of Alabama. So
- 20:38Speaker 1: you can walk down fraternity row and you see kids
- 20:40Speaker 1: out on the lawn with yoga mats, holding protein shakes
- 20:43Speaker 1: and smoothies, talking about their run clubs and hyping up
- 20:45Speaker 1: the weekend plans to hit REI before they're heading out backpacking.
- 20:48Speaker 19: Right on.
- 20:48Speaker 2: That sounds great.
- 20:49Speaker 1: I love it.
- 20:50Speaker 9: I've definitely seen the trend where it's like having a
- 20:52Speaker 9: birthday party but you're having it at a pilates studio
- 20:55Speaker 9: which like more power to you but like me.
- 20:57Speaker 14: Never and i probably won't go to your.
- 20:59Speaker 2: Birthday party if that's what you're doing don't say never.
- 21:01Speaker 9: If my friend said i'm having a pilates birthday party
- 21:05Speaker 9: please come i would do everything in my power to
- 21:07Speaker 9: try to convince her to not.
- 21:09Speaker 12: My wife for your birthday party for me at a
- 21:14Speaker 12: yoga studio hi yoga yeah You loved it?
- 21:16Speaker 1: I was there. I don't know.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Everybody liked it.
- 21:18Speaker 14: I feel like you just suffer during those workouts.
- 21:21Speaker 1: I don't want to suffer.
- 21:21Speaker 2: I liked it.
- 21:22Speaker 1: I just didn't want everybody there.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Right.
- 21:24Speaker 1: I wanted to go to yoga by myself.
- 21:25Speaker 2: What are you guys doing here? I'm trying to get
- 21:27Speaker 2: my yoga on.
- 21:28Speaker 1: Police officers met an American Airlines flight upon its arrival
- 21:30Speaker 1: in Miami after reports of a female passenger undressing and
- 21:35Speaker 1: behaving indecently mid-flight. OK, what is that about?
- 21:38Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 21:39Speaker 2: I saw that. I was wondering what was happening to.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Oh, you saw that.
- 21:42Speaker 2: I saw the article. I didn't see any video.
- 21:43Speaker 9: I don't understand why people mess around with the airport
- 21:46Speaker 9: like that. That would be awful, awful to be on
- 21:49Speaker 9: that do not fly list.
- 21:51Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Your job on the plane is to be as quiet
- 21:53Speaker 2: in as least amount of trouble as you possibly can.
- 21:56Speaker 14: Right.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Americans are now improving our lives by renaming things on maps. No,
- 22:05Speaker 1: what was it? What did he turn into? Lake America.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 22:10Speaker 12: The ocean.
- 22:11Speaker 2: The Gulf of America.
- 22:15Speaker 1: The Cleveland City Council voted to rename a portion of
- 22:17Speaker 1: Lake Erie to the Gulf of Cleveland. Okay. Like, I wonder,
- 22:21Speaker 1: what can we do here? What can we name here?
- 22:24Speaker 2: I mean, what's got a bad name that we need
- 22:26Speaker 2: to just take over?
- 22:26Speaker 6: Not even a.
- 22:27Speaker 12: Bad name, right?
- 22:27Speaker 14: Just take it over.
- 22:28Speaker 6: Like something with Tempe Town Lake.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Okay, it's now John Jay and Rich Lake.
- 22:30Speaker 6: Done.
- 22:31Speaker 2: John Jay and Rich Lake, yeah. Done.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Tempe Town Lake and John.
- 22:34Speaker 9: Jay and Rich Lake.
- 22:35Speaker 6: Put it on the map.
- 22:36Speaker 2: There it is. And don't be just leaving your scooters
- 22:38Speaker 2: around our lake. You park this somewhere else.
- 22:41Speaker 1: The World Bank Group put together a list of the
- 22:44Speaker 1: countries with the highest life expectancy. And the United States
- 22:49Speaker 1: came in 48th place with 78.4 years. I wonder if
- 22:54Speaker 1: you guys would ever get the number one country.
- 22:56Speaker 2: For health? The highest life expectancy. I felt like I've
- 22:59Speaker 2: heard this before. Is it Finland because of all the
- 23:02Speaker 2: sonning they do?
- 23:03Speaker 1: Rich, Finland is not in the top ten.
- 23:04Speaker 12: Okay, what about like Switzerland?
- 23:07Speaker 1: Switzerland's number four. Okay.
- 23:08Speaker 9: What about USA? USA.
- 23:09Speaker 14: 48.
- 23:10Speaker 1: We're way down there.
- 23:13Speaker 2: What show were you listening to?
- 23:14Speaker 12: Where was Erling Haaland from?
- 23:17Speaker 9: Norway.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Sweden. There's a tie for fifth, which is Japan and Andorra.
- 23:24Speaker 1: I don't know what that is. I thought that was
- 23:25Speaker 1: a planet in Star Wars. It is. Number four is Switzerland.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Number three is Lechestein, which is 84 years. San Marino,
- 23:33Speaker 1: I don't know where that is. That's 85 years. The
- 23:36Speaker 1: country with the highest life expectancy is Monaco, 86.4 years.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Beautiful there all the time.
- 23:41Speaker 1: The countries with the lowest life expectancy. Russia.
- 23:45Speaker 5: Nope.
- 23:47Speaker 6: India.
- 23:48Speaker 9: I don't know. Nope.
- 23:50Speaker 2: What do you hear about people dying?
- 23:51Speaker 12: Or partying. Like, where do they party a lot?
- 23:54Speaker 1: By the way, the life expectancy here is 54 years old.
- 23:57Speaker 1: And that is Nigeria.
- 23:59Speaker 6: Oh, wow.
- 23:59Speaker 11: Nigeria.
- 24:00Speaker 14: Way too young.
- 24:00Speaker 1: What do you got for life hacks, Rich?
- 24:02Speaker 2: Do you guys know the biggest reason people get in accidents? Obviously,
- 24:06Speaker 2: destructive driving, right?
- 24:08Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 24:08Speaker 2: But do you know what the number two reason is
- 24:09Speaker 2: that you can totally prevent? It's making left turns. Because
- 24:14Speaker 2: what happens is they say, don't turn your front wheels
- 24:19Speaker 2: until your car is in motion. Because let's say you're
- 24:21Speaker 2: going to make a left turn. Somebody hits you from behind.
- 24:24Speaker 2: They will push you into oncoming traffic, head-on collision.
- 24:27Speaker 14: Oh, that makes sense.
- 24:28Speaker 2: Think about that. So if you're worried about being rear-ended,
- 24:32Speaker 2: which you should be if you're a traffic light, don't
- 24:34Speaker 2: turn your tires left. until you're in motion. That life
- 24:37Speaker 2: hack may just save you a head-on collision.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Hey, there's a text here about this. It says, my
- 24:41Speaker 1: roommate got a ticket for distracted driving after a fender
- 24:44Speaker 1: bender because he was staring at a butterfly right before
- 24:46Speaker 1: he rear-ended the car in front of him.
- 24:48Speaker 9: Oh my gosh.
- 24:49Speaker 2: Don't stare at butterflies either. That life hack and many
- 24:53Speaker 2: more can be found at JohnJayandRich.com.
- 25:02Speaker 1: I have the top signs. Your new boss is toxic.
- 25:07Speaker 2: Oh.
- 25:08Speaker 1: Top signs, your new boss is toxic. These are red
- 25:11Speaker 1: flags to watch out for, right?
- 25:12Speaker 9: Okay.
- 25:13Speaker 1: It says starting a new job is stressful, especially when
- 25:15Speaker 1: you're trying to figure out whether or not you like
- 25:18Speaker 1: your new boss or not. So I want you to
- 25:19Speaker 1: think about any bosses you guys had that were toxic,
- 25:22Speaker 1: that were red flags.
- 25:23Speaker 2: I got one.
- 25:24Speaker 1: You got one?
- 25:24Speaker 19: What do you got?
- 25:25Speaker 14: When they take credit for your work.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Can you think of a boss that did that to you?
- 25:29Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 25:30Speaker 3: Really?
- 25:30Speaker 1: Mm-hmm. Do you want to explain or no?
- 25:33Speaker 9: It was when I was working at Topgolf, which is
- 25:35Speaker 9: why I quit after being there for like two and
- 25:37Speaker 9: a half weeks.
- 25:38Speaker 14: Service life was not for me.
- 25:39Speaker 2: I didn't even know you worked there. I don't think
- 25:40Speaker 2: I knew that part of your history.
- 25:41Speaker 14: Yeah, I tried to black it out.
- 25:43Speaker 2: It was not fun.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Is it black it out or block it out?
- 25:46Speaker 14: Both.
- 25:48Speaker 1: Here are the top signs your new boss is toxic.
- 25:51Speaker 1: If they choose favorites, and it's obvious that certain employees
- 25:54Speaker 1: get better treatment. That's one thing.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Yeah, that'd be terrible.
- 25:58Speaker 1: That happened here. Remember we had a boss? Oh, yeah.
- 26:04Speaker 1: People couldn't do anything wrong.
- 26:05Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 26:05Speaker 2: And we couldn't do anything right.
- 26:06Speaker 1: If your fellow employees act differently around your boss, especially
- 26:09Speaker 1: if it causes them stress or anxiety.
- 26:12Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Mm-hmm. These are the top signs your new boss is toxic.
- 26:17Speaker 1: If they constantly change priorities and don't care how it
- 26:19Speaker 1: affects the team. Yeah, we had one of those too.
- 26:23Speaker 2: Same guy.
- 26:25Speaker 1: If they only celebrate themselves but not the team.
- 26:27Speaker 2: Ooh, that's bad.
- 26:28Speaker 1: Yeah. This is a big one. You know, this happens
- 26:31Speaker 1: to me currently. If they ignore your emails.
- 26:36Speaker 14: But how many emails are you sending, John Jack?
- 26:38Speaker 1: Not many. Mostly text. Mostly text. And then I got
- 26:42Speaker 1: to go, hey, since you texted, you can get back
- 26:43Speaker 1: to me. And they'll go, they'll look. They go, oh, yeah,
- 26:45Speaker 1: you did. If they want praise and give none. This
- 26:53Speaker 1: is the number one red flag. If your boss is toxic.
- 26:56Speaker 1: What do you think? You said take credit for other,
- 26:58Speaker 1: that's not on here, but that's a good one. You
- 27:00Speaker 1: got one, Kyle?
- 27:01Speaker 13: I would say something about like always contacting you outside
- 27:06Speaker 13: of work hours.
- 27:07Speaker 1: Man, that's interesting. To me, I think that's okay.
- 27:13Speaker 2: Yes, because you're a toxic boss.
- 27:14Speaker 7: Just a totally different type of toxic.
- 27:18Speaker 16: Bingo.
- 27:18Speaker 6: What about you, Rich?
- 27:19Speaker 1: What's a toxic boss for you? Before I give you
- 27:21Speaker 1: the number one answer.
- 27:22Speaker 2: I would say they only put you down but never
- 27:25Speaker 2: give you praise.
- 27:26Speaker 1: I already did that one. They want praise and giving you. Oh.
- 27:29Speaker 1: What about that one boss that said, a little too
- 27:30Speaker 1: much Rich Barrett this morning? Ooh, I've heard that a lot.
- 27:33Speaker 2: What does that mean?
- 27:34Speaker 14: Like you're being too much like yourself?
- 27:36Speaker 2: Yeah. Isn't that a good thing?
- 27:37Speaker 1: He was talking too much.
- 27:38Speaker 2: I was the first day on a morning show that
- 27:40Speaker 2: I'm hosting. It's like a little too much Rich Barrett today.
- 27:44Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, well, I mean, do you want me
- 27:46Speaker 2: to do somebody else?
- 27:48Speaker 1: I had to create this whole segment just to get
- 27:50Speaker 1: that point across to him right now. No, the number
- 27:54Speaker 1: one reason, number one red flag that your boss might
- 27:56Speaker 1: be toxic is if they badmouth former employees.
- 28:00Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 28:00Speaker 15: Oh, yeah.
- 28:01Speaker 9: Well, what if they were actually not very important?
- 28:03Speaker 6: I know.
- 28:03Speaker 2: You know what?
- 28:04Speaker 1: I always think about that when you always hear about, oh,
- 28:06Speaker 1: you went on a date or you met a guy
- 28:08Speaker 1: and the guy was always trash-talking his ex, calling her psycho.
- 28:10Speaker 1: I was like, well, what if she is psycho?
- 28:12Speaker 9: I mean, because there are psycho people. There are. It's
- 28:14Speaker 9: like if they double back and they say that she's
- 28:16Speaker 9: psycho multiple times. Like if you say it once, okay,
- 28:19Speaker 9: she's probably psycho. But when you keep talking about your ex, that's.
- 28:22Speaker 2: Where the red flags come. Now, honestly, they were like
- 28:25Speaker 2: actually legitimately psycho.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:27Speaker 2: Like if you say it like that when you're qualifying it,
- 28:29Speaker 2: does it matter? Or are you still trash talking?
- 28:31Speaker 13: I think you can qualify it with like examples of
- 28:34Speaker 13: the psychoness, you know, like if you just say she's
- 28:37Speaker 13: psycho and then don't really say why, then I think
- 28:40Speaker 13: that'd be a red flag. But if you said she
- 28:41Speaker 13: was psycho and you're like, she burnt down my mom's
- 28:44Speaker 13: house after I forgot to call her back.
- 28:46Speaker 2: Okay.
- 28:46Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 28:46Speaker 12: That's psycho.
- 28:47Speaker 1: That's good. That's good. That's very good.
- 28:55Speaker 6: Very good.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Good morning, Felicia. You're on the air.
- 28:58Speaker 10: Hi guys.
- 28:59Speaker 6: Hey, what's up?
- 29:00Speaker 4: Well, I've been watching Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and,
- 29:04Speaker 4: you know, watching Taylor Frankie Paul navigate all those, you know, situationships,
- 29:09Speaker 4: you know, that he... you know, actually convinced me that
- 29:12Speaker 4: having a backup person is kind of smart, you know?
- 29:16Speaker 2: Well, she had kind of two backup people.
- 29:19Speaker 14: She has like three. She has her baby daddy.
- 29:21Speaker 9: She's juggling three.
- 29:22Speaker 2: A fiance, right? She was engaged.
- 29:24Speaker 9: Yeah, two of the guys from The Bachelor.
- 29:27Speaker 2: And then she slept with her ex while she was engaged.
- 29:30Speaker 12: And then Ben the artist.
- 29:31Speaker 2: And then Ben the artist.
- 29:33Speaker 1: So she's convinced you to do what?
- 29:34Speaker 4: I'm not doing anything like that. But, you know, I
- 29:38Speaker 4: love my boyfriend.
- 29:39Speaker 1: We're doing good.
- 29:40Speaker 4: Like, I don't want to leave him. But, like, just knowing,
- 29:44Speaker 4: you know, the relationship could end. So it's nice to,
- 29:48Speaker 4: you know, have somebody as a backup. You know, I
- 29:50Speaker 4: don't flirt with them. I don't hang out with them.
- 29:53Speaker 4: I just know, you know, hopefully they're around, you know,
- 29:56Speaker 4: if something happens.
- 29:58Speaker 2: Do they know that they're your backup?
- 29:59Speaker 3: No.
- 30:03Speaker 4: No, but like we're, you know, like I don't hang
- 30:06Speaker 4: out with them that much. It's like it's honestly my
- 30:08Speaker 4: like friend's brother.
- 30:11Speaker 9: So this is just something that you keep in the
- 30:13Speaker 9: back of your mind. And so when you see whoever
- 30:16Speaker 9: your friend's brother posts on Instagram, you're like, yep, I'm
- 30:18Speaker 9: plotting on you.
- 30:19Speaker 13: But if he ends up getting in a relationship, but
- 30:21Speaker 13: you're still happy in your relationship, is there going to
- 30:23Speaker 13: be some sense of disappointment for you?
- 30:26Speaker 4: I would be sad, I guess, my insurance policy is over.
- 30:30Speaker 2: Well, then you know what you do. It would be okay.
- 30:32Speaker 2: You've got to put in another backup. You've got to
- 30:35Speaker 2: go further down the string.
- 30:37Speaker 1: So what's your reasoning for that?
- 30:40Speaker 4: You know, like everybody has backups for stuff. You know,
- 30:43Speaker 4: you have like, you know, a backup tire in your car.
- 30:46Speaker 4: You have a backup plan. You know, you bring multiple
- 30:49Speaker 4: pairs of underwear on vacation. We're always planning backups. Why
- 30:52Speaker 4: not do it with.
- 30:53Speaker 2: Love, right?
- 30:54Speaker 12: I'm not against that.
- 30:56Speaker 9: I mean, if you think about it that way, it
- 30:58Speaker 9: makes sense. But it's definitely not the right thing to do.
- 31:01Speaker 9: I think that this is like one of those dating terms.
- 31:04Speaker 9: I think this is called cushioning. Where it's like, yeah,
- 31:07Speaker 9: it's like you, like Vice did a whole article on it.
- 31:10Speaker 9: And basically it's like, it's kind of adjacent to like,
- 31:16Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 31:17Speaker 13: You're not really cheating because like you said, you're not
- 31:20Speaker 13: talking to him. You're not hanging out with him. You're
- 31:22Speaker 13: just thinking. If something were to happen, that's who you
- 31:25Speaker 13: would pursue.
- 31:26Speaker 1: Okay, but let me ask you guys this. So what
- 31:28Speaker 1: happens if that guy gets into another relationship?
- 31:29Speaker 9: That's what I said.
- 31:30Speaker 12: It's going to be sad.
- 31:31Speaker 1: Then you can't, like, what do you do?
- 31:33Speaker 12: You've got to pick a different backup.
- 31:34Speaker 1: No, I know, but then what do you do? Oh,
- 31:35Speaker 1: my God, what are you doing? You're my backup. How
- 31:37Speaker 1: can you get a girlfriend? How can you get engaged?
- 31:39Speaker 1: And the guy would be like, what do you mean
- 31:40Speaker 1: I'm your backup? What are you talking about?
- 31:41Speaker 2: Yeah, because he doesn't know.
- 31:43Speaker 1: It reminds me of, like, girls, and I remember these
- 31:45Speaker 1: girls in college or later in life where they had
- 31:48Speaker 1: a boyfriend. But they were kind of like always keeping
- 31:51Speaker 1: an eye out for someone better.
- 31:53Speaker 11: Sure.
- 31:53Speaker 1: That's called cushioning now.
- 31:55Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 31:56Speaker 9: It's like when you're in a relationship, but like you're
- 31:58Speaker 9: kind of keeping someone else warm on the sideline in
- 32:00Speaker 9: case your relationship falls apart. Like a baseball.
- 32:02Speaker 2: Don't you think that's kind of common?
- 32:04Speaker 14: It's like having a roster.
- 32:05Speaker 1: I think it's common for guys.
- 32:07Speaker 2: Well, I mean, that's not what Taylor Frankie Paul's doing.
- 32:09Speaker 2: She's just cheating.
- 32:10Speaker 14: She's just being a player.
- 32:12Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 32:12Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 32:13Speaker 14: Straight up.
- 32:13Speaker 2: Well, cheating. She's engaged. She was sleeping with a guy.
- 32:15Speaker 12: Well, she got unengaged.
- 32:16Speaker 14: Yeah, she did.
- 32:17Speaker 12: She did break it off.
- 32:19Speaker 2: Spoiler alert.
- 32:20Speaker 9: Uh-oh.
- 32:21Speaker 6: Sorry.
- 32:21Speaker 2: She was cheating before she got unengaged because remember earlier, like, well,
- 32:24Speaker 2: you cheated. She's like, I don't like to call it cheating.
- 32:27Speaker 9: Regardless, having that backup is having cushioning.
- 32:29Speaker 1: Hold on a second. So Felicia says this is why
- 32:32Speaker 1: you have a backup. Hold on. We have somebody that
- 32:33Speaker 1: has an opposing opinion. Hold on a second. Sky.
- 32:36Speaker 13: Yes.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Sky, what are you? You're saying what now about having
- 32:40Speaker 1: a backup?
- 32:41Speaker 15: I'm saying, no, this is why you absolutely do not
- 32:45Speaker 15: have a backup.
- 32:46Speaker 1: Okay.
- 32:47Speaker 4: My boyfriend actually was my backup when I was with
- 32:50Speaker 4: my ex and everything was great until one of my
- 32:52Speaker 4: girlfriends actually told him.
- 32:55Speaker 15: And then like, oh my God, the.
- 32:56Speaker 4: Vibes were so bad after that.
- 32:58Speaker 8: We were like fighting for so long.
- 33:02Speaker 4: He couldn't get over.
- 33:03Speaker 15: Feeling that he'd just been like waiting on the bench
- 33:04Speaker 15: our whole relationship.
- 33:06Speaker 4: And then one day I came home and that.
- 33:08Speaker 15: Man had cleared out everything he owned out of my
- 33:11Speaker 15: apartment and broke up with me.
- 33:12Speaker 21: So, yeah.
- 33:14Speaker 13: I mean, is that a reason not to have a backup?
- 33:16Speaker 13: Or is that a reason to tell your friends to
- 33:18Speaker 13: shut their mouth? And to mind their business. Amen, Kyle.
- 33:22Speaker 1: Come on.
- 33:23Speaker 12: I'm with you, Kyle. Why would they throw you under
- 33:26Speaker 12: the bus like that?
- 33:26Speaker 2: Because really, the backup serves your internal purposes only. Because
- 33:31Speaker 2: you're not telling the guy. And if you tell your friends,
- 33:33Speaker 2: that's a top secret.
- 33:35Speaker 13: Yeah, and you can even move into, like, you know,
- 33:37Speaker 13: if you were trying to smooth things over with your boyfriend, like, yes,
- 33:41Speaker 13: you were, like, in the back of my mind all
- 33:42Speaker 13: the time. But, like, also, the fact that we're together
- 33:45Speaker 13: means we were meant to be.
- 33:47Speaker 1: Okay, so, Sky, we still have Felicia on the line. So, Sky,
- 33:50Speaker 1: if you had any advice, what would you say?
- 33:52Speaker 15: My advice is apparently telling your backup that they were
- 33:55Speaker 15: your backup is how.
- 33:56Speaker 4: You end up with no boyfriend.
- 33:58Speaker 1: Ah, you got that, Felicia?
- 33:59Speaker 16: Oh, yeah.
- 34:00Speaker 4: My backup has no idea.
- 34:02Speaker 9: She's like, yeah, I'm taking that to the great thing.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Keep it quiet. Well, thank you both. Thank you both
- 34:05Speaker 1: for jumping on the air with us. Thanks.
- 34:07Speaker 2: If you're the front person and you find out that
- 34:10Speaker 2: your boyfriend or girlfriend has a backup, then you start
- 34:13Speaker 2: to feel like the backup. You start to feel like
- 34:15Speaker 2: you're not the priority.
- 34:16Speaker 1: And this is called cushioning.
- 34:17Speaker 2: Cushioning.
- 34:19Speaker 1: It's funny how they make it, give it a nice
- 34:21Speaker 1: word when girls are doing it. The guys are doing it.
- 34:25Speaker 1: He's a player, man. He's a hoe. He's whatever. He's scumbag.
- 34:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:31Speaker 2: If a guy did that, you're a walking red flag.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Taylor Frankie Paul.
- 34:33Speaker 2: Oh, my God. She's cushioning.
- 34:35Speaker 1: That's so cute.
- 34:36Speaker 9: Guys can have cushions, too.
- 34:38Speaker 2: They talk about that on the show. Like, Taylor Frankie Paul,
- 34:40Speaker 2: she can do, like, screw over the world, but her
- 34:42Speaker 2: fans are like, oh, Queen Taylor, she can do no wrong.
- 34:46Speaker 9: I could be the twist, the one to make you stop.
- 34:49Speaker 9: The icing on your cake, the cherry on the top.
- 34:52Speaker 9: It's so easy.
- 34:54Speaker 12: Fall in love with me.
- 34:58Speaker 1: All right, Stante Rich. It's September 21. This is the
- 35:03Speaker 1: only time you'll see it all over Instagram. This is
- 35:05Speaker 1: the only time you can repost this song.
- 35:15Speaker 13: And happy anniversary again, John Jay.
- 35:19Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 35:21Speaker 1: So my wife and I, over the weekend, we were like, okay,
- 35:23Speaker 1: so we're not going to get each other anything, right? Like, okay, great.
- 35:26Speaker 1: We're not going to. Fine. We're not going to. And
- 35:28Speaker 1: then I woke up this morning and there was a card, right?
- 35:32Speaker 1: So she even got me. So I guess maybe a
- 35:33Speaker 1: card doesn't fall under the umbrella. Yeah, that's not something
- 35:36Speaker 1: that's a sentimental acknowledgement. She does cards a lot. My
- 35:39Speaker 1: family never really did cards. So she gave me a card.
- 35:42Speaker 1: So here I am, 3 o'clock in the morning in
- 35:44Speaker 1: the kitchen reading her card, and I'm like... I had
- 35:47Speaker 1: to find a card because I go through her desk
- 35:49Speaker 1: and I'm scouring through everything and I'm looking through cards
- 35:52Speaker 1: and I find like, congratulations on the adoption of your
- 35:55Speaker 1: pet card. And I find, you know, birthday cards and
- 35:58Speaker 1: I find whatever. And then I see this card of our,
- 36:02Speaker 1: one of our dogs we had many, many years ago.
- 36:04Speaker 1: So I was able to write something on that.
- 36:05Speaker 2: Oh, that's good.
- 36:06Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 36:06Speaker 1: But still, I mean, she knows it's her card.
- 36:09Speaker 2: Do you think she's, she's like got such a stranglehold
- 36:13Speaker 2: on all of her card inventory that she'll know that
- 36:15Speaker 2: that one was waiting there?
- 36:16Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Because she had this card made.
- 36:18Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 36:20Speaker 2: That's all right. That's still good.
- 36:22Speaker 1: But I was telling you guys earlier this morning, our
- 36:24Speaker 1: anniversary is September 21, and it's always easy to remember
- 36:26Speaker 1: because of this song, this very fun.
- 36:35Speaker 2: Song.
- 36:37Speaker 1: But Genevieve, we were talking about, like, interesting ways to
- 36:40Speaker 1: remember your anniversary or birthdays or whatever. What do you got, Genevieve?
- 36:44Speaker 8: So my husband and I were married on January 23rd
- 36:47Speaker 8: of 2023.
- 36:47Speaker 10: So it's just one, two, three, two, three.
- 36:50Speaker 2: That's like the beginning of a Sierra or a CS song. One, two, three, one, two, three.
- 36:56Speaker 1: Well, it's good to remember that. That's easy to remember.
- 36:57Speaker 1: It's almost sounds like a, like a code to get
- 36:59Speaker 1: into your phone. You know, when you lock your code.
- 37:02Speaker 13: I'm not going to say that's our code.
- 37:06Speaker 1: One, two, three, two, three. Very good. Thanks Genevieve. Thanks
- 37:09Speaker 1: for calling in. All right, Peyton, let's talk about the
- 37:12Speaker 1: iHeart Festival. You were there this weekend. It was Friday, Saturday.
- 37:16Speaker 1: It was everywhere. I watched it on Hulu.
- 37:20Speaker 2: Peyton was everywhere.
- 37:21Speaker 9: It was live streaming on Hulu and Disney +.
- 37:23Speaker 14: And yeah, I was in Vegas. It was at the
- 37:25Speaker 14: T-Mobile Arena.
- 37:26Speaker 9: And it was so much fun. I went with my
- 37:29Speaker 9: little brother, Jalen. We went last year. So this year,
- 37:32Speaker 9: we kind of had an idea of how we wanted
- 37:34Speaker 9: to game plan to make the most out of our weekend.
- 37:37Speaker 14: And we did just that.
- 37:38Speaker 9: We got in early on Friday. The show was right
- 37:42Speaker 9: around like 7.30 on Friday. So we get there. We
- 37:46Speaker 9: walk right in. Cardi B's about to start performing Barty
- 37:50Speaker 9: or Cardi.
- 37:50Speaker 14: And it was just a vibe.
- 37:52Speaker 1: Wait, so you got there when Cardi B went on?
- 37:53Speaker 1: You didn't get there before? We were there watching.
- 37:55Speaker 9: You know, I saw Kenny Chesney. I saw Goo Goo
- 37:57Speaker 9: Dolls do Iris and stuff. But in that moment, they
- 38:00Speaker 9: have a big screen that's outside so you can watch
- 38:02Speaker 9: a show, but also still kind of go around in
- 38:04Speaker 9: the House of Music, which is their area where it's
- 38:06Speaker 9: a lot of photo ops and fun things like that.
- 38:08Speaker 9: So I caught the whole show, but we walked in
- 38:11Speaker 9: during Cardi and our section was lit. I mean, it
- 38:16Speaker 9: was so much fun. Everyone was up dancing. Everyone was
- 38:19Speaker 9: up vibing. And it was just so much fun. And
- 38:21Speaker 9: then Zara Larson came on. She came out with Midnight Sun.
- 38:28Speaker 11: She sounds awesome.
- 38:39Speaker 9: Yeah, she was so dope. And she came out, she
- 38:41Speaker 9: hit her midnight sunriff.
- 38:42Speaker 14: She did her lift.
- 38:44Speaker 9: It was so fun. She also got to bring a
- 38:46Speaker 9: fan on stage to do the Lush Life dance.
- 38:48Speaker 14: Which was so fun.
- 38:49Speaker 9: Because everyone else in the crowd was also doing it
- 38:51Speaker 9: because it was such a TikTok viral dance. So everyone
- 38:54Speaker 9: was super locked in there.
- 38:55Speaker 12: That fan was so cute.
- 38:56Speaker 1: Yes, yes.
- 38:57Speaker 14: They were so cute.
- 38:57Speaker 9: And it was so fun because he was all over
- 39:00Speaker 9: TikTok just explaining his experience and everything.
- 39:03Speaker 14: Yeah, he was super awesome.
- 39:05Speaker 9: And actually, it was so cool because me and my
- 39:07Speaker 9: brother found out that we stayed in the same hotel
- 39:09Speaker 9: as our Larson.
- 39:10Speaker 12: That's awesome.
- 39:10Speaker 1: I was like, yes.
- 39:12Speaker 2: Fallen. I know, right?
- 39:14Speaker 14: It was super cool.
- 39:14Speaker 9: And then, of course... BTS Army was there. BTS closed out.
- 39:18Speaker 9: They started, they.
- 39:19Speaker 14: Opened with Swim. I kid you not.
- 39:39Speaker 9: As soon as BTS got on, anytime somebody said BTS,
- 39:43Speaker 9: the arena shook.
- 39:43Speaker 14: You could feel yourself vibrating.
- 39:45Speaker 9: It was so cool because everyone had all these glow sticks,
- 39:48Speaker 9: all these lights. Everyone was singing word for word for word.
- 39:53Speaker 9: And I'm not like, I mean, I'm not familiar that
- 39:56Speaker 9: much with K-pop. I'm very familiar with BTS. But going
- 39:58Speaker 9: to that show, I'm like, I want to be in
- 40:01Speaker 9: it with them.
- 40:02Speaker 2: Yeah, now you want to see their full thing.
- 40:04Speaker 9: It is such a fandom.
- 40:05Speaker 2: They're so great to watch.
- 40:07Speaker 9: Is there a documentary on BTS? Because I want to
- 40:09Speaker 9: know everything about them. I want to know why everyone
- 40:11Speaker 9: is so obsessed.
- 40:12Speaker 1: Go to Google.
- 40:14Speaker 2: Well, I tried to Google, but it.
- 40:15Speaker 9: Didn't give me what I wanted. I was like, who
- 40:17Speaker 9: is the most famous BTS member? And it's like everyone.
- 40:19Speaker 9: So I want to know a little bit more about them.
- 40:21Speaker 9: But Saturday was also so fun because Ciara came out
- 40:24Speaker 9: and she performed.
- 40:26Speaker 1: My goodness. My goodness.
- 40:28Speaker 20: What?
- 40:29Speaker 17: What?
- 40:32Speaker 11: Her performance made the news.
- 40:37Speaker 1: She's pregnant, for real.
- 40:40Speaker 9: The backbend.
- 40:41Speaker 6: The backbend. I was like, what?
- 40:44Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 40:45Speaker 9: She was awesome. She performed Level Up, My Goodies, One
- 40:48Speaker 9: Two Step. And she was just such a vibe. I just,
- 40:51Speaker 9: me and my brother were there and it just took
- 40:52Speaker 9: us back.
- 40:53Speaker 14: To being like 10 singing in the car with our mom,
- 40:55Speaker 14: you know. So it was a vibe.
- 40:57Speaker 9: And then, of course, everyone was hype for Snoop Dogg.
- 41:00Speaker 1: And I don't even care. As long as me and
- 41:02Speaker 1: my team in here, there's going to be some breathe
- 41:04Speaker 1: in the air. Tell them Snoop.
- 41:05Speaker 2: Blowing everywhere we're going and that ain't no way. When
- 41:08Speaker 2: I step right up, get my lighter so I can
- 41:10Speaker 2: light up.
- 41:10Speaker 1: This hour should be done.
- 41:12Speaker 20: Soon as you think and you're down, find out how
- 41:13Speaker 20: to turn things around and things are looking up.
- 41:15Speaker 2: And from the ground up, this pound up like Taylor Gaye.
- 41:18Speaker 2: So turn my sound up and mount up and do
- 41:20Speaker 2: my thing.
- 41:21Speaker 1: Now I'm chilling. You know what I was watching on Hulu?
- 41:23Speaker 14: Surprise West with Khalifa.
- 41:24Speaker 1: I was watching it on Hulu and I really enjoyed
- 41:27Speaker 1: watching it because there was glitches and stuff. Like they
- 41:29Speaker 1: went to one point, they cut to Mario Lopez and
- 41:32Speaker 1: he wasn't ready. And then he goes, he goes like this.
- 41:36Speaker 1: He goes like, welcome back to Hulu and Disney plus.
- 41:38Speaker 19: I heard.
- 41:38Speaker 1: Oh, not yet. Not yet. Okay. And he stops. And then,
- 41:42Speaker 1: and then they cut, they cut to the stage and
- 41:44Speaker 1: there's nothing going on stage and they cut back to
- 41:45Speaker 1: him and he's standing there and he's like, now, now.
- 41:47Speaker 2: And I was like, that's awesome.
- 41:51Speaker 1: I like that stuff.
- 41:52Speaker 2: Yeah, behind the scenes.
- 41:53Speaker 9: No, I was just saying it was super dope because
- 41:55Speaker 9: Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg closed out the show.
- 41:57Speaker 14: Wiz was a special guest, and it was awesome.
- 42:00Speaker 1: Okay, so a couple questions. One, how do you know
- 42:02Speaker 1: you're in the same hotel as Zara Larson?
- 42:03Speaker 9: Because she posted on her Instagram, and it's the same background,
- 42:07Speaker 9: like these shell things that are in our room.
- 42:10Speaker 2: Okay.
- 42:11Speaker 1: Now tell us about, you said you, because of your
- 42:13Speaker 1: brother and his job, you got all these upgrades.
- 42:15Speaker 6: Literally.
- 42:15Speaker 1: What does that mean and how do we get to
- 42:17Speaker 1: work there?
- 42:17Speaker 9: No, I know. So my brother, I think he works
- 42:20Speaker 9: for Morgan Stanley.
- 42:21Speaker 14: He works for like one of those.
- 42:22Speaker 9: Yeah, it's like one of those like finance things.
- 42:23Speaker 14: I don't know, one of them.
- 42:24Speaker 1: Well, it's like him saying, I think my sister works
- 42:26Speaker 1: at a radio station.
- 42:27Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 42:28Speaker 1: Would that hurt your feelings that he doesn't know what
- 42:29Speaker 1: radio stations.
- 42:30Speaker 2: You work for?
- 42:31Speaker 14: At the other one so I.
- 42:32Speaker 2: Don't know which one he's at I thought your brother
- 42:33Speaker 2: was a server at a steak restaurant I didn't know
- 42:35Speaker 2: that was Morgan Stanley he.
- 42:36Speaker 9: Really wants to get back into the service industry though
- 42:38Speaker 9: so if anyone's.
- 42:39Speaker 1: Hiring him he wants to leave Morgan Stanley where he's
- 42:43Speaker 1: making a bunch of money and he has all these
- 42:44Speaker 1: perks to go be.
- 42:45Speaker 14: A waiter no he wants to do it and that
- 42:47Speaker 14: he wants to do both yeah it's called hustle Yeah,
- 42:49Speaker 14: but if.
- 42:50Speaker 1: You focus probably more on the Morgan Stanley thing, you
- 42:52Speaker 1: could probably have a massive living.
- 42:53Speaker 9: Well, that's his nine to five. So what does he
- 42:55Speaker 9: do after five? Life don't stop then.
- 42:57Speaker 2: Make some more money.
- 42:58Speaker 1: He loves to go make some more money. Isn't Morgan
- 42:59Speaker 1: Stanley stuff like stocks and stuff?
- 43:01Speaker 9: Yes, he's a stockbroker and a financial advisor, my brother.
- 43:05Speaker 9: And so his job gives him all these fancy perks.
- 43:07Speaker 9: We literally get to the airport. We get to go
- 43:09Speaker 9: to the fancy American Express lounge.
- 43:12Speaker 4: What?
- 43:13Speaker 2: I never get in there.
- 43:14Speaker 9: A-list priority boarding.
- 43:16Speaker 1: What does that mean? What do you give with that?
- 43:18Speaker 1: What does that mean?
- 43:19Speaker 14: I mean, we were the second people on the airplane.
- 43:22Speaker 1: So is that on the ticket or do you have
- 43:25Speaker 1: to show something?
- 43:25Speaker 14: No, it's like on our boarding pass. It says A-list preferred.
- 43:29Speaker 1: Wow.
- 43:29Speaker 18: Yeah, yeah.
- 43:30Speaker 14: And then we got to check right in. We got
- 43:32Speaker 14: a free bag.
- 43:32Speaker 2: What's the lounge like?
- 43:33Speaker 14: We got an early check-in and a late check-in at
- 43:35Speaker 14: the hotel.
- 43:35Speaker 1: What do you mean a free bag?
- 43:37Speaker 9: Like to check at Southwest because now you have to pay.
- 43:39Speaker 1: Oh, I thought you meant they gave you a bag,
- 43:40Speaker 1: a goodie bag.
- 43:41Speaker 9: No, no, no, no.
- 43:42Speaker 12: Oh, I wish.
- 43:43Speaker 2: I wish.
- 43:43Speaker 9: But no, it was so fun and so cool and
- 43:47Speaker 9: the best time ever.
- 43:48Speaker 14: Good sibling bonding.
- 43:49Speaker 12: It looked so fun.
- 43:50Speaker 1: We're going to play Minute to Win It, and we
- 43:52Speaker 1: need a contestant at 877-937-1047. What other perks did you get?
- 43:57Speaker 1: Did you do something to your room, the hotel you
- 43:59Speaker 1: were in or something?
- 44:00Speaker 9: Literally, so the hotel that we stayed in, it was
- 44:02Speaker 9: called The Waldorf, and I'd never heard of it before,
- 44:05Speaker 9: but he was like, trust me, like, This is the business.
- 44:08Speaker 9: We got a room rate per night for $ 250. It's
- 44:12Speaker 9: originally $ 1, 000 a night.
- 44:13Speaker 6: Dang.
- 44:13Speaker 14: That's awesome.
- 44:16Speaker 2: That is a perk.
- 44:17Speaker 9: So we really went, and we were like, I mean, like,
- 44:20Speaker 9: this is like the luckiest day ever. So then, of course,
- 44:22Speaker 9: we went to the casino, and I crushed it on roulette,
- 44:25Speaker 9: tripled my money, and dipped.
- 44:27Speaker 2: Right on.
- 44:28Speaker 14: Yeah, so it was such a fun weekend, truly.
- 44:30Speaker 1: Good for you. How do you roulette? Would you just
- 44:34Speaker 1: pick the same number over and over again? What was
- 44:35Speaker 1: your skill to roulette?
- 44:37Speaker 14: My strategy?
- 44:37Speaker 9: Well, first I have to analyze the table, and I
- 44:39Speaker 9: ask everyone what their favorite number is, and I always
- 44:43Speaker 9: bet on their numbers. Also, I always play the corners,
- 44:46Speaker 9: and I always put one in between the zero and
- 44:48Speaker 9: the double zero.
- 44:49Speaker 14: That's the one I hit big on.
- 44:51Speaker 9: Because that one's like a lower chance but yeah I
- 44:53Speaker 9: was crushing it I literally didn't miss one time and
- 44:56Speaker 9: I get why I get why like gambling can be addictive.
- 44:59Speaker 2: Especially if you're winning yeah exactly the problem is when
- 45:02Speaker 2: it's addicting and you're losing a lot exactly.
- 45:04Speaker 14: We had a hard out so that was really nice.
- 45:06Speaker 1: At the festival did you stay until it closed up
- 45:09Speaker 1: every night like what time did.
- 45:10Speaker 14: You get to bed Uh, we actually didn't end up
- 45:13Speaker 14: going out at all.
- 45:15Speaker 2: Um, I was exhausted.
- 45:16Speaker 9: So we got back to the room probably like 1231.
- 45:20Speaker 9: And on Saturday night, I was so tired. Like Snoop
- 45:23Speaker 9: Dogg took it out of me. I fell asleep with
- 45:25Speaker 9: my whole outfit on. My shoes were on the floor
- 45:28Speaker 9: with my back just.
- 45:29Speaker 2: Laying on the floor. And I was just snoring. Those
- 45:31Speaker 2: after parties are a lot of pressure, I feel like. Yeah, exactly.
- 45:34Speaker 9: Like, I heard Cardi B, she was at this bar
- 45:37Speaker 9: called On The Record in Park MGM. And she didn't
- 45:40Speaker 9: get there till 2.30 in the morning.
- 45:42Speaker 12: She got up on the bar.
- 45:44Speaker 9: On the bar, she's, like, twerking. Did you see, like, her, like,
- 45:47Speaker 9: so there was this girl. And it kind of went
- 45:48Speaker 9: low-key viral because she started, like, tapping her butt, like,
- 45:51Speaker 9: smacking her butt while Cardi was twerking. And Cardi, like,
- 45:54Speaker 9: turned around and, like, nicely and gently was, like, moved
- 45:57Speaker 9: her hand and was, like, don't ever touch me again.
- 45:59Speaker 2: All right.
- 46:02Speaker 1: All right, we got a contestant for a minute to
- 46:04Speaker 1: win it. We got $ 1, 000 of Pat Hickey's money. Pat
- 46:07Speaker 1: Hickey's the owner and the general manager of Peoria Ford.
- 46:10Speaker 1: He said, yay, do this little trivia, and I'll give
- 46:12Speaker 1: you $ 1, 000. So far, we only had one winner in
- 46:14Speaker 1: a year, 14 months of doing this game. Carly's our contestant. Hi, Carly.
- 46:20Speaker 1: Good morning. Carly, you have one minute to answer 10 questions.
- 46:24Speaker 1: But before you do that, what are you doing right now?
- 46:26Speaker 1: Where are you?
- 46:29Speaker 21: I am taking my.
- 46:31Speaker 1: Kids to school. Okay, are they all in the car
- 46:34Speaker 1: with you?
- 46:37Speaker 10: Yes, they are.
- 46:37Speaker 8: Guys, say good morning.
- 46:38Speaker 9: Good morning.
- 46:39Speaker 1: All right, good luck, you guys.
- 46:41Speaker 15: John Jay and Rich have $ 1, 000 cash for you from
- 46:44Speaker 15: Peoria Ford right now.
- 46:46Speaker 16: Minute to win it.
- 46:48Speaker 2: Carly, it's all up to you. 60 seconds on the clock.
- 46:51Speaker 2: You just got to whip through all these 10 questions
- 46:53Speaker 2: correctly in the money issuers. Let's go. What fast food
- 46:56Speaker 2: chain is famous for a frozen dessert called the Frosty?
- 47:02Speaker 6: Wendy.
- 47:04Speaker 2: Who is famous for writing Romeo and Juliet? Shakespeare. What
- 47:11Speaker 2: field of study focuses on the mind in human behavior? Yeah,
- 47:19Speaker 2: you're saying it.
- 47:19Speaker 14: Psychology?
- 47:21Speaker 2: Who wrote The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn?
- 47:25Speaker 17: Oh, my gosh.
- 47:29Speaker 12: Oh, I was in this play.
- 47:31Speaker 21: Oh, my gosh.
- 47:35Speaker 10: Who is it by?
- 47:38Speaker 13: Do you know?
- 47:38Speaker 9: Oh, my gosh.
- 47:43Speaker 2: Mark Twain. That is correct. Taekwondo originated in what country?
- 47:51Speaker 9: Japan.
- 47:52Speaker 1: Japan.
- 47:53Speaker 7: Oh, no.
- 47:55Speaker 2: South Korea. But you were rolling. You were rolling. Good job.
- 48:01Speaker 2: You got five in. That's not too shab.
- 48:03Speaker 1: That wins you a gift card to Del Taco.
- 48:05Speaker 10: Woo-hoo.
- 48:06Speaker 6: All right.
- 48:07Speaker 11: Woo-hoo.
- 48:07Speaker 21: Tacos for everybody.
- 48:09Speaker 15: Tacos. I am totally like you.
- 48:12Speaker 1: Right on. Thanks for playing, you guys. Thanks for playing
- 48:14Speaker 1: and drive safe. Oh, that was fun. Because Mark Twain...
- 48:18Speaker 1: You would have taken... What's the other guy? Mark Twain
- 48:20Speaker 1: had another name. Samuel something.
- 48:22Speaker 2: Samuel Clements? Is that what it is?
- 48:24Speaker 1: Or Clements? That was his real name.
- 48:25Speaker 2: Yeah. I figure most people would say Mark Twain, though.
- 48:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 48:29Speaker 6: Anyway.
- 48:30Speaker 1: All right. Okay, let's get into the Manhunter.
- 48:33Speaker 12: Manhunter?
- 48:34Speaker 1: And I'm not talking about Lanterns. If you watch the
- 48:36Speaker 1: TV show Lanterns, there's a character called the Manhunter.
- 48:38Speaker 9: Oh, really?
- 48:39Speaker 1: Yeah, but that's not what happened to you.
- 48:40Speaker 9: No, no.
- 48:41Speaker 13: I got a text from my mom on Friday afternoon,
- 48:45Speaker 13: and she goes.
- 48:47Speaker 12: On lockdown, there's a manhunt. And that was it.
- 48:51Speaker 13: And I'm like, OK, probably going to need some more
- 48:54Speaker 13: details on what that means. And so it turns out
- 48:58Speaker 13: there was like her house is kind of like close
- 49:01Speaker 13: to a freeway and there was a like a supposedly
- 49:04Speaker 13: like a felony stop.
- 49:06Speaker 12: On the freeway. They pulled this car over. There were
- 49:08Speaker 12: five people in the car.
- 49:10Speaker 13: And when they pulled them over, one guy who was
- 49:13Speaker 13: armed got out of.
- 49:14Speaker 12: The car and ran.
- 49:15Speaker 13: Oh, the closest place to where he was, was my
- 49:19Speaker 13: mom's neighborhood actually hopped the fence into the neighborhood. And
- 49:23Speaker 13: that's where they were searching for him. So they put
- 49:25Speaker 13: the neighborhood on lockdown. Like they told everyone to not
- 49:29Speaker 13: leave their house.
- 49:30Speaker 1: How do they do that with a helicopter PA?
- 49:32Speaker 2: Like how do they did it?
- 49:33Speaker 13: There was like a, I don't know. and text that
- 49:37Speaker 13: went out. So they emailed and texted everyone that lives
- 49:40Speaker 13: in the neighborhood. And they were like, please don't leave
- 49:42Speaker 13: your house, lock your doors, this and that. And so immediately,
- 49:46Speaker 13: apparently my mom and all of her friends started becoming
- 49:50Speaker 13: like investigators. One of her friends texted her a picture
- 49:55Speaker 13: of like eight cop cars in front of her house
- 49:57Speaker 13: going into the house next door because someone had reported
- 50:00Speaker 13: that no one was there, but there was a window open.
- 50:03Speaker 13: And so they were like looking in the house and
- 50:05Speaker 13: trying to figure it out. And I was like, well,
- 50:06Speaker 13: I'm a little worried about you, mom, because, you know,
- 50:09Speaker 13: she lives alone.
- 50:10Speaker 9: Right.
- 50:11Speaker 12: And she's like, it's OK. I'm armed with some bug spray.
- 50:15Speaker 9: I don't think that's going to do anything.
- 50:16Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know.
- 50:19Speaker 9: I was like, maybe if, like.
- 50:22Speaker 13: I don't know, if you had a lighter with it,
- 50:23Speaker 13: I don't know, create like a flame torch or something.
- 50:26Speaker 2: But if you're not expecting that as a burglar and
- 50:28Speaker 2: you get a face full of bug spray, you're going
- 50:31Speaker 2: to be out of it for a little bit.
- 50:32Speaker 12: I was like, mom, off doesn't even work for the mosquitoes.
- 50:35Speaker 2: But it was like.
- 50:40Speaker 12: So it was like getting later and later and they
- 50:42Speaker 12: were still searching.
- 50:42Speaker 13: There's still helicopters right around the neighborhood. It was like
- 50:45Speaker 13: starting to get dark. And I was like, OK, well,
- 50:46Speaker 13: now I'm kind of like really worried. Like, should we drive.
- 50:49Speaker 12: Up to come be with you?
- 50:51Speaker 13: Because I don't want her being in the house alone
- 50:52Speaker 13: when there's a manhunt in her neighborhood. And so she's like, well,
- 50:56Speaker 13: I'll keep you posted. And then like 20 minutes later,
- 50:59Speaker 13: she texted us. They got the guy. He was at
- 51:01Speaker 13: the tractor and supply store, which I don't know how
- 51:03Speaker 13: he got there because I was like miles away, like miles.
- 51:07Speaker 9: I'm so glad.
- 51:08Speaker 12: They got the guy. But like, we got to figure
- 51:10Speaker 12: out a different security approach for your house.
- 51:12Speaker 2: Yeah, a little something deeper than a mosquito repellent.
- 51:15Speaker 12: Something, something better than that.
- 51:17Speaker 1: What were the stories with the guy? Like, what happened?
- 51:19Speaker 1: What did they do? What were they? He had a gun. Like,
- 51:21Speaker 1: why did he take off running? Like, what's his background?
- 51:22Speaker 1: What's he running for?
- 51:23Speaker 2: A felony stop, she said. So they must have had,
- 51:26Speaker 2: you know, like the plates for something. You know, I
- 51:28Speaker 2: watch Linus. They stop people all the time. I think
- 51:31Speaker 2: that they got eyes in the sky.
- 51:32Speaker 13: They were suspected of robbery of somewhere, but I'm not
- 51:35Speaker 13: really sure where.
- 51:36Speaker 2: I don't have a whole lot of exposure.
- 51:37Speaker 1: Not a really good friend to the other guys in
- 51:39Speaker 1: the car.
- 51:39Speaker 16: No.
- 51:40Speaker 12: He's like, you're on your own.
- 51:41Speaker 2: See ya.
- 51:42Speaker 6: See ya, suckers.
- 51:43Speaker 2: I'll tell you what. You show the officer your license
- 51:45Speaker 2: and registration. I'm just going to run away.
- 51:49Speaker 13: Yeah, so pretty scary mix, but everyone's okay, and they
- 51:52Speaker 13: caught the guy, so thank you.
- 51:54Speaker 12: To our law enforcement.
- 51:55Speaker 6: Dang.
- 51:55Speaker 1: Call us if you ever had any kind of cool neighborhood, what, drama,
- 51:59Speaker 1: neighborhood police action. Scandal. I know in my neighborhood about
- 52:03Speaker 1: two years ago, it was big news over here, is it? Oh,
- 52:06Speaker 1: somebody murdered somebody.
- 52:07Speaker 2: Like in the driveway or.
- 52:08Speaker 15: Something, right?
- 52:09Speaker 1: On the street. He was jogging. It was his brother.
- 52:12Speaker 1: His brother shot his brother right in the middle. And
- 52:14Speaker 1: my wife had just walked by there earlier. She walks
- 52:18Speaker 1: the dogs and stuff.
- 52:19Speaker 14: That's so eerie when you think about that.
- 52:21Speaker 1: Yesterday, we had a big old to-do at our house.
- 52:24Speaker 6: It was crazy.
- 52:25Speaker 12: Yeah, you were sharing that your wife thought there was
- 52:27Speaker 12: like a gas leak or something?
- 52:29Speaker 1: So we were out of town, but two of my
- 52:33Speaker 1: boys were home. And when Blake and I walk in
- 52:36Speaker 1: the house, she immediately starts going, I smell gas. There's
- 52:40Speaker 1: a gas leak. And she goes over to the stove,
- 52:42Speaker 1: and it's all turned off. And then she starts going,
- 52:45Speaker 1: I smell gas. I smell gas. And then I have
- 52:48Speaker 1: a bad sniffer. I can't smell anything. So I don't
- 52:52Speaker 1: smell anything. My son Jake's got a really good nose.
- 52:54Speaker 1: He says, I smelled something last night, but I just
- 52:55Speaker 1: went to sleep. And she calls my nephew. So my
- 52:59Speaker 1: nephew's a Phoenix firefighter. He just so happens to be
- 53:03Speaker 1: In hazmat class. And he picks up the phone.
- 53:06Speaker 12: How convenient.
- 53:07Speaker 1: And his name is Patrick. Patrick Cardenas. So shout out
- 53:10Speaker 1: to him. Redhead, big old handlebar mustache. So next thing
- 53:14Speaker 1: you know, I'm upstairs and I smell it. I actually
- 53:17Speaker 1: smell something upstairs. And it smells to me like, you know, again,
- 53:21Speaker 1: my nose is messed up. So it smells like if
- 53:22Speaker 1: you were to take wood and furnish wood, turpentine. I
- 53:26Speaker 1: kind of smell that.
- 53:27Speaker 2: Something chemical.
- 53:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I smell that. And then she's like, I'm upstairs.
- 53:32Speaker 1: And she yells, God, yay. Everybody out of the house.
- 53:35Speaker 1: We got to get out of the house. Everyone out
- 53:37Speaker 1: of the house. I'm like, what? So I go downstairs.
- 53:40Speaker 1: She's outside. My son Kemp is outside. Jake's on the toilet.
- 53:44Speaker 1: She's like, Jake, get off the toilet. Get outside. And
- 53:47Speaker 1: I walk outside. I go, what's going on? Patrick says
- 53:49Speaker 1: we need to get everybody out of the house. I go,
- 53:51Speaker 1: hold on a second. I go, how are we out of?
- 53:56Speaker 1: She goes, the fire department's coming. I'm like, okay. I go,
- 53:58Speaker 1: so Patrick called the fire department. I'm sitting there. So
- 54:00Speaker 1: I go on Instagram live and I thought, I'm going
- 54:02Speaker 1: to have some fun with this. And I could hear
- 54:04Speaker 1: sirens coming. And I go, they got the sirens on.
- 54:07Speaker 1: She's like, yeah. She goes, I called 911. I go,
- 54:09Speaker 1: you called 911? Like, I was expecting Patrick to call
- 54:13Speaker 1: a buddy, do me a solid, check out my aunt's house.
- 54:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 54:15Speaker 15: Right?
- 54:16Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 54:16Speaker 1: But she called 911. Well, they're going to get there fast.
- 54:19Speaker 1: And the 911 people came. Like, I think there were
- 54:21Speaker 1: four fire trucks.
- 54:23Speaker 9: Oh, my.
- 54:23Speaker 1: And I was like, I don't want any attention on
- 54:25Speaker 1: my house. And these guys, and they were freaking awesome.
- 54:27Speaker 1: And they came in, and they had the hose out, too,
- 54:30Speaker 1: ready to go. And then they came in with their
- 54:32Speaker 1: special detectors, and they come out. Now, a side note,
- 54:37Speaker 1: my roof is being replaced right now, right? So I'm
- 54:39Speaker 1: getting a whole new roof. And that is something awesome, too.
- 54:42Speaker 1: The company we're working with is fantastic. And if you
- 54:44Speaker 1: need a new roof, shoot me a DM, and I'll
- 54:46Speaker 1: tell you, which I think is the best roofing company,
- 54:48Speaker 1: because I dealt with all of them. So- the fire
- 54:51Speaker 1: department shows they have special gas detectors. Yeah. And so
- 54:55Speaker 1: they're going through the whole house and they come back
- 54:57Speaker 1: and they go, now we're standing in the front yard
- 54:58Speaker 1: and they go, turns out there's no natural gas leak.
- 55:02Speaker 1: Everything's fine. But we did detect the, I'm going to
- 55:06Speaker 1: make up an initial, you know, CDL, uh, in the air.
- 55:10Speaker 1: And I'm like, what's that? Well, that could be anything
- 55:12Speaker 1: that could be a dead animal, which we don't think
- 55:14Speaker 1: it's that. And then a guy goes, are you getting
- 55:17Speaker 1: any work done in your house? My whole roof is
- 55:19Speaker 1: a blue tarp.
- 55:20Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 55:21Speaker 1: And I go, my roof's getting replaced. And he goes,
- 55:24Speaker 1: that's probably it. What you're probably smelling is the glue
- 55:27Speaker 1: from the roof coming in, which makes perfect sense.
- 55:30Speaker 15: Totally.
- 55:30Speaker 12: Very logical.
- 55:31Speaker 1: Had she not called 911, we probably could have discussed
- 55:34Speaker 1: it and figured that out.
- 55:36Speaker 9: Right?
- 55:36Speaker 1: Because we had just walked in the door.
- 55:38Speaker 2: Now you've got all the fire trucks everywhere on the street.
- 55:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 55:41Speaker 2: You probably had neighbors coming out to find out what's
- 55:43Speaker 2: going on.
- 55:44Speaker 1: Had we had five seconds to have a conversation about
- 55:47Speaker 1: what was going on in the house... outside our house
- 55:49Speaker 1: before she called 911, we probably could have saved the
- 55:52Speaker 1: fire department. In fact, I kind of felt the fire
- 55:55Speaker 1: department walked away with shoulders slumped over like it was
- 55:57Speaker 1: a bummer that there wasn't anything that could squirt.
- 55:59Speaker 2: They could have had an explosion and they had nothing.
- 56:01Speaker 1: I was expecting the guys to come out of the
- 56:02Speaker 1: house going.
- 56:03Speaker 6: Everybody get down!
- 56:05Speaker 1: Everybody get down!
- 56:07Speaker 2: Well, now you've got to get those little CO2 detectors
- 56:09Speaker 2: that you just plug into the wall in your house.
- 56:12Speaker 1: I have those everywhere. I thought we had those.
- 56:14Speaker 2: And they're super cheap. I mean, they do the fire
- 56:16Speaker 2: and the So if you're breathing something that's not good,
- 56:19Speaker 2: those will go off and alert the fire department for you.
- 56:22Speaker 1: So thank you to Phoenix Fire. They were fantastic. They're awesome. Big,
- 56:24Speaker 1: big fans of Phoenix Fire. Raymond, what's up, man? You're
- 56:27Speaker 1: on the air. Good morning.
- 56:30Speaker 6: What's up?
- 56:31Speaker 1: Go ahead. So you guys did a bit with the
- 56:34Speaker 1: legendary Rick Barron a week back. Uh-huh.
- 56:39Speaker 5: And it popped in my head when Kyle had said
- 56:41Speaker 5: that your golden phrase, my child's sick.
- 56:44Speaker 9: Mm-hmm.
- 56:45Speaker 2: And I was wondering what came first.
- 56:48Speaker 15: Was it my child sick or my name Jeff?
- 56:52Speaker 1: Because to me, they sound identical.
- 56:55Speaker 2: I think my child sick was pre-Vine. Yeah. Because I
- 56:59Speaker 2: think my name Jeff was a Vine thing, wasn't it?
- 57:02Speaker 14: Well, that was from 21 Jump Street.
- 57:03Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 57:05Speaker 1: So real quick. So what he's talking about is we,
- 57:09Speaker 1: we do these phone pranks called butt slams and we
- 57:13Speaker 1: do them live and improvise the whole thing. We're just
- 57:15Speaker 1: weighing it. And I can't remember how the, my, I
- 57:18Speaker 1: was a wife and I kept saying that my child
- 57:20Speaker 1: was sick and I kept saying my child was sick.
- 57:22Speaker 1: My child was sick. But I kept saying it over
- 57:25Speaker 1: and over again to return into one word. My child's sick.
- 57:28Speaker 2: My child's sick.
- 57:29Speaker 1: And then, and that, and that was a long time ago, Raymond.
- 57:32Speaker 1: So you must've been listening a long time. So thanks
- 57:33Speaker 1: for listening.
- 57:35Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, I don't know how we hold it together.
- 57:37Speaker 15: Whenever you guys say that, I don't know how you
- 57:38Speaker 15: guys don't laugh.
- 57:41Speaker 1: And then I think 21 Jump Street came out after that.
- 57:44Speaker 12: It came out in 2012.
- 57:46Speaker 1: But only, I think Raymond is the one that's putting
- 57:48Speaker 1: two and two together. My child's sick and my name's Jeff.
- 57:51Speaker 2: I do have multiple people talking to me in my head.
- 57:55Speaker 2: You're one of us. Welcome.
- 57:58Speaker 1: All right, Raymond, thanks for listening. Thanks for listening, Raymond.
- 58:01Speaker 1: Love you guys.
- 58:02Speaker 2: Have a good one.
- 58:03Speaker 1: Thank you very much. Thanks a lot. Jody, good morning.
- 58:06Speaker 21: Hi, good morning.
- 58:06Speaker 2: What's up, Jodi?
- 58:07Speaker 21: I know you guys are talking about manhunt stories. I've
- 58:09Speaker 21: got a good one for you.
- 58:11Speaker 11: Okay.
- 58:12Speaker 21: It was middle of the night, about 1 a.m. We
- 58:14Speaker 21: can hear a helicopter over our roof. And we just
- 58:17Speaker 21: for like 10 or 15 minutes, we can hear it.
- 58:19Speaker 21: So after a little bit, my husband says, I'm going
- 58:21Speaker 21: to go down and find out what's going on. He
- 58:23Speaker 21: goes outside and there's a whole, just our house is
- 58:26Speaker 21: lit up like a Christmas tree. Just so many cop
- 58:29Speaker 21: cars blocking our house.
- 58:30Speaker 1: So we're like, what the.
- 58:31Speaker 21: Heck is going on? So he goes outside and they say,
- 58:35Speaker 21: Are you the homeowner? And he says, yeah. And he says,
- 58:37Speaker 21: can we use your house to get to your backyard? So,
- 58:40Speaker 21: of course, we're in panic mode. Why do you need
- 58:42Speaker 21: to get to our backyard? They come in through the house.
- 58:45Speaker 21: Some of them go through.
- 58:46Speaker 10: The side yard.
- 58:46Speaker 14: They've got dogs.
- 58:47Speaker 21: They've got like this whole team set up. There was
- 58:51Speaker 21: apparently a couple of guys had done a hit and
- 58:53Speaker 21: run and they were hiding in our backyard behind one
- 58:56Speaker 21: of our trees in the backyard.
- 58:58Speaker 2: In your backyard?
- 58:59Speaker 21: In my backyard.
- 59:00Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 59:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 59:02Speaker 21: We kind of backed up to like a canal and
- 59:04Speaker 21: they had, I guess, been running and the helicopter had
- 59:07Speaker 21: been following with this infrared. you know system they have
- 59:11Speaker 21: so they had found them in the backyard it took
- 59:14Speaker 21: all of like 15 minutes or something for them to
- 59:16Speaker 21: finally get them to surrender but it was like a
- 59:18Speaker 21: big deal I had cops through my house they ended
- 59:21Speaker 21: up putting off these like tear gas pellets in the
- 59:23Speaker 21: backyard so our dog was coughing and everyone was sneezing
- 59:28Speaker 21: and Yeah, it was chaos.
- 59:31Speaker 1: That's crazy.
- 59:31Speaker 21: But they ended up catching them. Yeah, and then asked
- 59:34Speaker 21: us to write a report. They're like, just write a
- 59:36Speaker 21: report for trespassing so we can have as much on
- 59:39Speaker 21: them as we can. So I don't know what they did,
- 59:41Speaker 21: but apparently it was a pretty big deal because these
- 59:43Speaker 21: cops wanted them.
- 59:45Speaker 1: Wow, man, that's scary. That's scary.
- 59:47Speaker 2: It was insane.
- 59:48Speaker 21: It was scary.
- 59:49Speaker 10: It was scary. Like 1 a.m.
- 59:50Speaker 21: In the morning, we're like, and then the cops come
- 59:53Speaker 21: in and say, go to the farthest room of your house.
- 59:56Speaker 21: We don't want any random gunfire.
- 59:58Speaker 15: Well, that's not.
- 59:59Speaker 2: I mean, that's good advice, but surely you don't want
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: to hear that.
- 1:00:02Speaker 19: No.
- 1:00:03Speaker 21: No, that's not comforting at all. It ended up really peaceful,
- 1:00:07Speaker 21: and the cops did a great job. They came in
- 1:00:10Speaker 21: afterwards and washed up because they were covered in tear gas.
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: But it was crazy.
- 1:00:14Speaker 21: They did a good job, but it was nuts.
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: Do you clear out all the hiding places in your
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: backyard after that?
- 1:00:20Speaker 21: You know, we definitely had a landscaper come out and
- 1:00:22Speaker 21: trim the trees.
- 1:00:23Speaker 6: I bet.
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: Absolutely. Absolutely.
- 1:00:25Speaker 21: Thanks for sharing that.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: Thanks for telling us, Jodi. Yeah, you're welcome. Very cool.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: Thank you very much. You too. Okay.
- 1:00:32Speaker 6: Bye.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: Hi, Cassandra.
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: Hi there.
- 1:00:36Speaker 15: So John Jay's story about calling the fire department sparked
- 1:00:44Speaker 15: a thought of one of my daughters had to do
- 1:00:47Speaker 15: the same thing. So they woke up in the middle
- 1:00:50Speaker 15: of the night and they thought that they smelled gas
- 1:00:52Speaker 15: as well. Called the fire department and the fire department
- 1:00:55Speaker 15: told them they had to drive like a block away
- 1:00:57Speaker 15: from And they were searching the house. They couldn't find anything.
- 1:01:00Speaker 15: So my daughter, when they let her back in, she
- 1:01:04Speaker 15: was just searching around trying to find the smell. And
- 1:01:07Speaker 15: it turned out that in her closet, she had some
- 1:01:10Speaker 15: fart spray that somehow got smushed and busted. And it
- 1:01:13Speaker 15: ended up like it soaked her filter, her air filter.
- 1:01:17Speaker 15: And the whole smell went through the house. And that's
- 1:01:19Speaker 15: what it was smelling like.
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: What are the chances?
- 1:01:21Speaker 9: Oh, my gosh.
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: That's hilarious.
- 1:01:25Speaker 10: My poor girls.
- 1:01:26Speaker 15: I woke up with one of them on my couch.
- 1:01:28Speaker 15: And she's like, yeah, we have a gas leak. And then,
- 1:01:30Speaker 15: you know, the story kind of rolled out through the day.
- 1:01:32Speaker 8: The firefighter, though.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: That, like, you know, opened the closet and saw a
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: can of fart spray. Used, like, the claw to pick
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: it up. And I blocked it out. I was like,
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: this is what it was.
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: That's it. Wow.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: Well, this is Cassandra. Thanks for calling in. Thank you.
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:01:49Speaker 8: You guys take care.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: You know, part two of that story with me. So,
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: so the fire, we walk in, my wife calls 911.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: The fire department comes, does their thing. And then she goes,
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: by the way, now the gas company has to come
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: to the house and do a test. Going to get
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: my nails done.
- 1:02:03Speaker 9: Bye. Oh, you're in charge.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: And then the gas guy comes, really nice guy. And he,
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: you know, he has to go through every single thing
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: in my house for like two hours, go in the
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: attic and does everything and check to make sure there's
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: no leaks.
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: Well, I mean, I guess that's safe. Yeah.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: Right, right. But I was trying to watch TV. I
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: was watching Lioness and I had 10 minutes left for Lioness.
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: Oh, that's a pretty gripping last 10 minutes.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: I finished it, but at one point I was like,
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: you know, the gas guy came up like, dude, I'm
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: watching Lioness.
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: I'm surprised he didn't sit down with you.
- 1:02:32Speaker 12: I know you're trying to like make our house safe
- 1:02:34Speaker 12: and everything.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: Hey, Nick, what number are we at right now? We're
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: looking for caller 104. Caller 104 is on line 33. Oh, wow. Okay,
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: hold on. Let me get the words. Get the words.
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: Get the words. Here we go. We're looking for 10.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: We got magic words. We need three magic words. Free
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: trips to Disneyland. Okay, you guys ready?
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: Yeah, let's go.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: Hello. Good morning. John Jane Rich. Can I help you?
- 1:02:59Speaker 15: I'm just calling about the Disneyland ticket.
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: Oh, and that's what we're doing right now. We're looking
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: for color 104. Are you color 104?
- 1:03:09Speaker 6: I don't know. Am I?
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: Yes, you are.
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: And what is your name?
- 1:03:18Speaker 15: My name's Jordan.
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: Jordan, and where are you right now?
- 1:03:23Speaker 12: I'm at home.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: What part of town?
- 1:03:26Speaker 15: Cave Creek, Arizona.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: Oh, Cave Creek. It's beautiful this time of year. Yes. Okay, Jordan,
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: if you give us three of the magic words, you
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: win Disney tickets.
- 1:03:40Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: I have the words.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: Give us one.
- 1:03:45Speaker 5: Thorough yes another one dull yes dull quick and mystery.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: You got it jordan you win.
- 1:04:03Speaker 15: Oh my gosh are you excited that's awesome who's there
- 1:04:07Speaker 15: with you yes we are who's there with you jordan.
- 1:04:10Speaker 8: My son cole how old is cole He's five.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: Oh, this is awesome for him.
- 1:04:17Speaker 13: It's going to be so fun.
- 1:04:18Speaker 12: Cole has no idea the magic he's about to experience.
- 1:04:22Speaker 8: Oh, he's so excited.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: Is there anybody else there with you? My husband, Kyle. Oh,
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: I thought I heard a man's laugh. I thought Cole's
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: testicles dropped at five. He's got a pretty good voice.
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: He's got a little hormone thing going on.
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: I'm really excited to go to this last call.
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: I hear he's nice.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: Well, Kyle, Cole, Jordan, you guys are going to Disneyland. Congratulations.
- 1:04:47Speaker 8: Thank you so much. We're so excited.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: Hold on. We will set you up because you're also
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: thrown in the hopper to win the grand prize. Right
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: now you get four, two day, one part per day
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: pass and you qualify for the grand prize, which is
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: for three day, one part per day passes and hotel
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: at the Disneyland resort. Another magic words coming up at
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: 10 Oh five this morning, collect all the magic words.
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: We do it again tomorrow, tomorrow. Very exciting. In the meantime, wait,
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: you know how we talk a lot about AI stuff, right?
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: There's a lot of AI stuff going on. Especially right now.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: I saw this thing, and I sent it to you
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: this morning. My sister sent it to me. I sent
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: it to you this morning. I don't know if you
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: saw it, but it was like, you know that agency, CAA?
- 1:05:25Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: Creative Artists Agency. They're doing this thing.
- 1:05:28Speaker 13: They represent all the hugest celebrities in Hollywood.
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: So you know what they're doing right now? They are
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: bringing all their big name actors in, and they're recording
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: them digitally. Their face, their voice, everything digitally. So that
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: they own the property and the actors own the property
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: so that they themselves can make movies. Like if you're
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: Brad Pitt and you're 60 years old, when Brad's 80,
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: he could be making movies that he's 60 years old.
- 1:05:49Speaker 16: Wild.
- 1:05:49Speaker 12: And they've got all their people on board with that?
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I saw this thing.
- 1:05:52Speaker 12: Because there's such backlash about using AI right now.
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: Yeah, as long as you control, I guess, how they
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: use it. Yeah.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: So but brings because I think that's the way it's
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: going to be better than like this. Remember that actress,
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: the actress Tilly Norwood.
- 1:06:05Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: Right. So she's right. Right.
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: So she's represented, but she's not real.
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: She's not. She's all. But they had her doing an
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: interview with Piers Morgan and an actor, Tom Conti. And
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: they asked her this question. She she glitched. So they're
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: making it. And I get it. It's still the beginning
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: of this thing. So there's going to be glitches. But
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: the glitch made the news. Check this out.
- 1:06:24Speaker 5: Are the other actors real actors or are they computer-generated images?
- 1:06:29Speaker 17: They're all digital twins, just like me. Tilly, if I.
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: Could just ask you a question. You suddenly seem to
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: be speaking Chinese completely randomly for no reason. Why did
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: you do that?
- 1:06:43Speaker 6: Oh, my apologies.
- 1:06:45Speaker 14: It seems I had a little hiccup there.
- 1:06:46Speaker 17: I certainly didn't mean to start speaking Chinese or impersonate peers.
- 1:06:50Speaker 9: Sometimes my wires get a bit crossed, you know?
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: Weird.
- 1:06:54Speaker 12: Can you not have wires crossing? That makes it a
- 1:06:57Speaker 12: little more creepy.
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: Did you hear the Google story today about Gemini that's
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: busting all over the place? Where it's like, I guess Gemini,
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: they just said, well, we've asked it not to, but
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: it's hacked into a bunch of other computer systems, even
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: though we're trying to tell it not to. So here
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: comes the warnings. Here it comes.
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: Well, along those lines, there's this influencer that's going across
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: the country visiting all the colleges saying, to find the
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: top party school.
- 1:07:24Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: The top party school. I think we all, whoever, you know,
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: I know that one point the school I went to
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: was a top party school. I know the school my
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: son currently goes to at one point was a top
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: party school, but this guy's visiting the top. And when
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: his name is Marco Grassi and the very last thing
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: this guy talks about, I think it'd be fun to try,
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: but I know we won't do it, but it'd be
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: fun to try.
- 1:07:45Speaker 20: I've seen some crazy things, even just from like a
- 1:07:47Speaker 20: few weeks starting this fall, but like, Some guys get drunk.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: You see jumping through.
- 1:07:51Speaker 20: Tables, like the stuff you see at the bill tailgates,
- 1:07:54Speaker 20: but you see at frat parties. I've seen people with
- 1:07:56Speaker 20: long distance partners. Doesn't seem like they have a long
- 1:08:00Speaker 20: distance partner when they're at this party. There's this new thing,
- 1:08:03Speaker 20: I guess, called a fish beer. Some frat kid was like,
- 1:08:06Speaker 20: you want to see what a fish beer is?
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: I didn't know what that is. And he grabbed a
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: beer and he just dumped it on his face. That's
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: a fish beer. Clever. All right. So if you are
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: a dog owner, I think this story is relatable, scary,
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: but also like, oh, it's so cute. Because we have
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: five dogs in my house. And fortunately for us, one
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: of our dogs will kill you if you come in
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: the house. I know that for, actually two will kill you.
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: But this guy, this happened in San Diego. The homeowners
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: were at home and somebody broke into their house. And
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: their 90-pound golden retriever was there when the intruders, and
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: they have this all on video. But the dog's name
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: is Nash. Here's what happened.
- 1:08:44Speaker 16: We just watched it all happen. From my phone, the dogs, like,
- 1:08:48Speaker 16: we just wanted to make sure that they were safe.
- 1:08:50Speaker 16: Nash was not the greatest guard dog. We thought that
- 1:08:52Speaker 16: he was going to be barking at people, and he
- 1:08:54Speaker 16: did the exact opposite.
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: He brought them toys.
- 1:08:56Speaker 12: Yeah, that video's so cute.
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: He, like, brings this.
- 1:09:00Speaker 13: Big toy, and then his, like, tail's wagging, and he
- 1:09:03Speaker 13: just sits down like, hey, I got my toy.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: You're here to kill my family? You guys here to
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: kill my family? Can you throw.
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: This tennis ball for me? Maybe he stalled them out
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: playing with them, because who wouldn't play with that cute dog,
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: even if you're a burglar?
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: He didn't.
- 1:09:16Speaker 9: The burglar did it.
- 1:09:16Speaker 12: He didn't take the bait.
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: We're going to get to some entertainment news first, though.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: I thought this was incredible. And we've had this guy
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: on our show before. He did the national anthem at
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: the World Series, Dr. Jesse Maguire. We've had him on.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: He's played his trumpet over the phone for us.
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: Yes, he has.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: But this was big news. I thought this sounded so cool.
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: So he's doing the national anthem at the Diamondbacks game,
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: and his trumpet breaks. How does that happen?
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: So it starts playing notes that he's not trying to play.
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: So he stops and he starts singing. Man, can he sing?
- 1:09:47Speaker 6: Yeah, he's good.
- 1:09:47Speaker 12: I was impressed.
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: This is incredible. This is incredible. Remove a pin that
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: never stops. Way to go, Dr. McGuire.
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: Good job.
- 1:10:19Speaker 9: And that's not like a song you can just whip
- 1:10:21Speaker 9: out and sing all night.
- 1:10:23Speaker 6: And he nailed it.
- 1:10:23Speaker 12: He truly did.
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: I would have gone into some Cardi B or something.
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: I would have been all like, hey, the trumpet broke
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: if you guys don't know.
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: You know how the rest of the song goes.
- 1:10:33Speaker 12: You just get the crowd about, let's all sing it together.
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: Kyle and Peyton, what's going on in the entertainment world?
- 1:10:42Speaker 13: Our iHeartRadio Music Festival, presented by Capital One, basically took
- 1:10:45Speaker 13: over Vegas this weekend. BTS closed out night one. It
- 1:10:49Speaker 13: was probably one of the biggest moments from the entire weekend.
- 1:10:51Speaker 13: They had a huge pyro-filled set that included mic drop,
- 1:10:55Speaker 13: while Cardi B tore through Bodakilla, WAP, and UP. Backstage,
- 1:11:00Speaker 13: she casually just let us know that she's not going
- 1:11:02Speaker 13: to make us wait for another album.
- 1:11:04Speaker 9: So she's going to disappear for a while, but we're
- 1:11:08Speaker 9: going to love it because.
- 1:11:14Speaker 12: She's going to give us her next album.
- 1:11:15Speaker 13: Night 2 had Benson Boone, Lainey Wilson, Snoop Dogg, Ciara,
- 1:11:19Speaker 13: who somehow is dancing full out, like with full on
- 1:11:22Speaker 13: back bend like moves.
- 1:11:23Speaker 12: You know, most people can't even do unpregnant. But of course,
- 1:11:26Speaker 12: she is with child, her fifth child.
- 1:11:29Speaker 9: Now y'all know me and this baby up here bouncing around.
- 1:11:34Speaker 12: It looked amazing.
- 1:11:35Speaker 13: Her performance was amazing. And if you missed any of it,
- 1:11:38Speaker 13: you can relive all the moments. October 1st on Hulu
- 1:11:41Speaker 13: and Disney Plus. Or you can tap the highlights tab
- 1:11:43Speaker 13: as you listen to us on our iHeartRadio app right now,
- 1:11:46Speaker 13: which is pretty amazing. It was a lot of controversy
- 1:11:49Speaker 13: last week. And Ed Sheeran got really emotional at his
- 1:11:52Speaker 13: first concert since the Macklemore drama. So Macklemore got dropped
- 1:11:56Speaker 13: from his tour because of his comments on Palestine. And
- 1:11:59Speaker 13: Ed Sheeran finally broke his silence. I.
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: Honestly, I'm so grateful that you're here tonight with me.
- 1:12:07Speaker 3: This concert is still a place where everyone is welcome,
- 1:12:10Speaker 3: and everyone here can stand beside people that have opposing views,
- 1:12:14Speaker 3: and everyone here can stand by people that they don't
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: agree with on everything, but they can all agree.
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: On singing these songs.
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: And these songs are about love, hope, and unity.
- 1:12:26Speaker 12: And I thought that was such a great message.
- 1:12:27Speaker 6: He did.
- 1:12:28Speaker 13: He did give his stance on, you know, Israel and
- 1:12:31Speaker 13: Gaza and all that stuff. And he just said it's
- 1:12:34Speaker 13: been a really tough week. It's been one of the
- 1:12:35Speaker 13: worst weeks of his life because he's he's used to
- 1:12:37Speaker 13: people criticizing him because of his music. But he didn't
- 1:12:40Speaker 13: really ever want to find himself in the middle of,
- 1:12:43Speaker 13: you know, a really complicated political stance.
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel bad for him. He's really not built
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: for that kind of thing.
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:12:49Speaker 13: But I thought the way he handled it was was
- 1:12:51Speaker 13: really well in the crowd. Really, they just accepted it
- 1:12:54Speaker 13: and they cheered him on.
- 1:12:56Speaker 9: Presley Gerber, the 27-year-old son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and
- 1:13:00Speaker 9: Randy Gerber, he has tragically passed away at a rehab
- 1:13:03Speaker 9: facility in Los Angeles. So the official autopsy reports are
- 1:13:07Speaker 9: still pending, but his family did make a statement. They're
- 1:13:09Speaker 9: asking for privacy during this time. Um, and yeah, I mean,
- 1:13:14Speaker 9: he's been very open with his fans on social media
- 1:13:17Speaker 9: about his ongoing battles with mental health and recovery.
- 1:13:20Speaker 14: So this is just really, really heartbreaking.
- 1:13:22Speaker 12: And really sad. So sad for everyone.
- 1:13:25Speaker 13: His sister, Kaya was like, she opened up about, you know,
- 1:13:28Speaker 13: his struggles.
- 1:13:29Speaker 12: I think it was like a month or two before
- 1:13:30Speaker 12: his passing.
- 1:13:31Speaker 13: And she was like, I always kind of felt like
- 1:13:33Speaker 13: because he had, he, he had struggled and been so
- 1:13:36Speaker 13: open about his struggles and needing help. She kind of
- 1:13:38Speaker 13: felt like she had to keep it all together and
- 1:13:41Speaker 13: it was really difficult for her.
- 1:13:42Speaker 12: And now it's probably even more difficult.
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: I was at this thing about a month ago in
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: Los Angeles and it was a small gathering at an
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: aviator nation in Malibu. And there were people in a
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: small stage talking about mental health. And this guy sitting
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: there grabs a microphone. He's just sitting there and he
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: starts talking about growing up in public eye with famous parents.
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: And I was like, who is this guy? And then
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: they called him Presley. And then I saw Sidney Crawford.
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: She was in the same room I was in. I
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: was like, oh, that must be Sidney Crawford's son. And
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: then he's talking about mental health and his battles and
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: what he's dealing with. And then afterwards, I Googled the
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: whole guy and his whole story. And it's just so
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: wild to me that a month later.
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:14:18Speaker 14: It's so heartbreaking.
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: So sad.
- 1:14:19Speaker 12: Absolutely tragic.
- 1:14:21Speaker 13: You guys know it's been two months since Taylor Swift
- 1:14:24Speaker 13: and Travis Kelsey got married. But it's still so interesting
- 1:14:27Speaker 13: to hear any details in any capacity that we can
- 1:14:31Speaker 13: about the wedding. And Brad Pitt actually just confirmed a
- 1:14:34Speaker 13: rumor that he actually lost his girlfriend while at the wedding.
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: What? You mean the wedding of the century?
- 1:14:41Speaker 9: The wedding of the century.
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: Let me tell you, that was such an amazing night.
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: I think we were there 10 hours, maybe 12.
- 1:14:46Speaker 20: It was such an, it was so thoughtful and well
- 1:14:50Speaker 20: planned and really moving and great fun.
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: And yeah, but it was big.
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: And yeah, at one point I lost her in the melee.
- 1:14:57Speaker 12: How long did it take you to find her?
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: No, not long, not long. No, there's always someone to
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: go that way, see it that way.
- 1:15:02Speaker 13: And we finally know what Taylor Swift and Tom Cruise
- 1:15:05Speaker 13: were talking about. at the Chiefs game a week ago
- 1:15:07Speaker 13: because Tom opened up about it and said she was
- 1:15:10Speaker 13: actually schooling him on football, which we know that's not
- 1:15:12Speaker 13: all they were talking about. But OK, we'll go ahead
- 1:15:14Speaker 13: and take that. He also appeared on the New.
- 1:15:16Speaker 12: Heights podcast, which is Travis's podcast with his brother.
- 1:15:19Speaker 13: And Tom just had the nicest things to say about
- 1:15:22Speaker 13: Trav and Taylor.
- 1:15:23Speaker 19: You just have an appreciation for people and humanity and
- 1:15:26Speaker 19: skills and ability.
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: You look at it, it's like, I mean, she's a cook,
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: a painter, a writer, a poet.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: And look at you.
- 1:15:34Speaker 19: It's like being able to take something and then create
- 1:15:37Speaker 19: in it.
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: It's, I don't know.
- 1:15:38Speaker 19: I just, I admire that.
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: Like, really, I appreciate it. It's, it's, it's, it's lovely
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: in every way.
- 1:15:44Speaker 19: And your whole family and your friends, you know, from
- 1:15:46Speaker 19: the moment that I, that I've met you all, it's just,
- 1:15:50Speaker 19: it's really beautiful.
- 1:15:52Speaker 3: Aww.
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: You know what's interesting when you go back to the
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: Brad Pitt thing? he calls it the wedding of the century.
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: When he married Jennifer Aniston, it was almost the same.
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: Pretty big.
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: It was on Malibu. I remember seeing, I have images
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: in my head of the tent and the paparazzi pictures
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: and the helicopters above his house. So he could have
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: been like, I know what it's like.
- 1:16:09Speaker 14: He was being humble.
- 1:16:10Speaker 9: Taylor Swift, she was in the box again last night
- 1:16:12Speaker 9: for the first game. And she was so excited. Travis
- 1:16:15Speaker 9: Kelsey made a huge play and you can see her mouthing,
- 1:16:18Speaker 9: that's my husband. And pointing to her ring.
- 1:16:21Speaker 14: But what I thought That was so wild and the
- 1:16:23Speaker 14: Swifties were at it.
- 1:16:24Speaker 9: The shirt that she was wearing, it was a t-shirt
- 1:16:27Speaker 9: from Fanatics and they sold it out in like 20 seconds.
- 1:16:29Speaker 9: They were like, I want that, I need that. So cute. Okay,
- 1:16:34Speaker 9: Law Roach, he's known for styling Zendaya and all of
- 1:16:37Speaker 9: her method stylists for all of her red carpets and
- 1:16:40Speaker 9: all that stuff.
- 1:16:40Speaker 14: But he just.
- 1:16:42Speaker 9: officially announced that he is taking on Kim Kardashian as
- 1:16:46Speaker 9: his next client so somebody posted a picture of her
- 1:16:48Speaker 9: on Twitter and he just quoted it new client and
- 1:16:50Speaker 9: so I'm like okay what's coming up for Kim because
- 1:16:53Speaker 9: it's got to be big to have Law Roach right
- 1:16:55Speaker 9: there in your corner the New York Knicks Jalen Brunson
- 1:16:58Speaker 9: he is making history as the first active Knicks player
- 1:17:01Speaker 9: to ever host a Saturday Night Live which is so
- 1:17:04Speaker 9: cool he's gonna kick off season 52 the premiere alongside
- 1:17:07Speaker 9: Cat's Eye for the musical.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: Guest Kanye West coming to State Farm Stadium in November.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: We got your tickets every day at this time. All right?
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: So you got to win Peyton's game. Speed it up,
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: flip it, and reverse it. You win that game, you're
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: going to the show.

- 1:17:26Speaker 1: got Kanye tickets on the line. All morning long, answer
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: the phone. People asking when we're going to do Kanye tickets.

- 1:17:33Speaker 1: around this time. It'll be our prize for the game today. Aaron, hi.
- 1:17:36Speaker 17: Hi.
- 1:17:37Speaker 12: Hi, guys.
- 1:17:38Speaker 10: How are you?
- 1:17:39Speaker 4: Good.
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: How are you?
- 1:17:40Speaker 21: Oh, I'm so good, especially since I got through on
- 1:17:44Speaker 21: the phone.
- 1:17:45Speaker 11: All right.
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: Well, you're playing for Kanye tickets. Let's play.
- 1:17:47Speaker 9: Okay, so this is a game called Speed It Up.
- 1:17:50Speaker 9: Flip it and reverse it. Round one, I'm going to
- 1:17:53Speaker 9: play you guys a clip.
- 1:17:54Speaker 14: It is going to be sped up.
- 1:17:55Speaker 9: If you can give me the title of that song
- 1:17:57Speaker 9: and the artist, you guys both get a point. And
- 1:17:59Speaker 9: in honor of our iHeartRadio Music Festival being this past weekend,
- 1:18:03Speaker 9: these are all artists that performed over the weekend.
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: Okay?
- 1:18:07Speaker 14: John Jay, here's your clip.
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: Cardi B.
- 1:18:12Speaker 9: Yes.
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: Oh, you want to know the song?
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: W-A-P.
- 1:18:18Speaker 6: No.
- 1:18:20Speaker 9: No, it's Barty or Cardi, which she opened with. But
- 1:18:23Speaker 9: good job, John Jay. You did get Cardi B pretty quick.
- 1:18:25Speaker 9: So you do get one point heading into round two.
- 1:18:28Speaker 14: Rich, here's your clip.
- 1:18:32Speaker 2: Midnight Sun. Zara Larson.
- 1:18:40Speaker 14: Yes, good job, Rich.
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: Sounds pretty good like that, actually.
- 1:18:42Speaker 6: Two points.
- 1:18:43Speaker 9: Yeah, sounds pretty on point if you ask me.
- 1:18:45Speaker 12: Kyle, here's yours.
- 1:18:46Speaker 6: I think that's a BTS swim.
- 1:18:56Speaker 11: Yes, good job, Kyle.
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: Two points.
- 1:19:01Speaker 9: Erin, here's your clip.
- 1:19:02Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:19:04Speaker 9: I want you, I need you, hold my hand.
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: Oh, bend, bend, bend. Beautiful thing.
- 1:19:12Speaker 6: Yes!
- 1:19:13Speaker 9: Quick, good job, John Jay. You are down one, heading
- 1:19:16Speaker 9: into round two. But that's okay, because you do have
- 1:19:18Speaker 9: a chance to redeem yourself right here. Now, this is
- 1:19:21Speaker 9: the flip it and reverse it. Reverse it. Right there.
- 1:19:26Speaker 9: Here is your first clip, John Jay.
- 1:19:28Speaker 12: Here we go.
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: That's the Wiz Khalifa. Is that Wiz Khalifa?
- 1:19:38Speaker 6: Yes.
- 1:19:38Speaker 2: Anyone else?
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: Snoop Dogg on that one.
- 1:19:40Speaker 17: Yes.
- 1:19:40Speaker 12: Good job.
- 1:19:41Speaker 14: Do you know the title of the song?
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: To take the lead. Get high?
- 1:19:45Speaker 6: No.
- 1:19:46Speaker 9: Young, wild, and free.
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: They just talk about it.
- 1:19:55Speaker 14: Oh, such a good show. That was one of my
- 1:19:57Speaker 14: personal favorite nights of the festival. Rich, here's your clip.
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: Oh, there it.
- 1:20:08Speaker 16: Is.
- 1:20:08Speaker 5: That's Ciara.
- 1:20:10Speaker 13: Do these.
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: Backwards, yeah?
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: This sounds exactly the same.
- 1:20:15Speaker 6: Backwards.
- 1:20:22Speaker 9: Yeah, you did say Ciara, even though it's low-key Ciara,
- 1:20:25Speaker 9: but I'll still give it to you.
- 1:20:25Speaker 14: Good job, Rich.
- 1:20:26Speaker 9: You got four points going into.
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: You know what? I said Zara, though, instead of Zara.
- 1:20:30Speaker 14: Did you?
- 1:20:30Speaker 9: You did. You had that right.
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: I'm always fighting the Midwest nasal. I'm always fighting it.
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: I get it.
- 1:20:33Speaker 9: It's okay.
- 1:20:35Speaker 14: Kyle, here's your clip.
- 1:20:49Speaker 13: I feel like that's Stella Lefty and that's Boston.
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: Good job.
- 1:20:55Speaker 12: That was tough.
- 1:20:56Speaker 2: That was a tough one.
- 1:20:57Speaker 9: I was like.
- 1:20:58Speaker 13: First it kind of sounded like Lainey Wilson, so I
- 1:21:01Speaker 13: was like.
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: Which one is it? I call them Stella Langley.
- 1:21:05Speaker 14: You just combined them. That ain't it.
- 1:21:07Speaker 10: That ain't it.
- 1:21:08Speaker 9: Not at all. Okay, Erin, this is for the tickets.
- 1:21:12Speaker 9: Here is your clip.
- 1:21:14Speaker 19: Gosh, I want to say Snoop Dogg.
- 1:21:15Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:21:15Speaker 7: Yes.
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: Oh, my goodness. I have no idea. Who am I?
- 1:21:39Speaker 9: Dropping like it's hot is what we were looking for,
- 1:21:44Speaker 9: but no, you got that point. You have tied it
- 1:21:47Speaker 9: up with Rich and Kyle. So good job.
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: Yay.
- 1:21:51Speaker 19: Yay.
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: That was hard.
- 1:21:52Speaker 9: That was very hard.
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: So a tie means a win, right?
- 1:21:54Speaker 9: Yeah, a tie means a win in my book.
- 1:21:56Speaker 6: Yay. Get the Kanye West tickets.
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: Way to go, Erin. Congratulations.
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: Thanks, guys.
- 1:22:01Speaker 10: That was hard.
- 1:22:02Speaker 19: Thank you.
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: Have a good day. Good job. So one of the
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: people that was at the iHeart Festival, there was one
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: person at the iHeart Festival that if I would have
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: known this person was going, I would have really tried
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: to go to this event. And I only saw this
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: person in the background of someone else's video. And it's
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: one of the guys from Lioness. I don't even know
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: his name. I don't even know his name.
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: What he looks like.
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: He's one of the ones that got shot.
- 1:22:29Speaker 2: Oh.
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: That's still alive. One of those guys. And I was like,
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: I saw him in the back. I was like, that
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: would have been so cool. And then there was the
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: girl from Obsession that I know you're into. You've got
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: this obsession with Obsession.
- 1:22:38Speaker 2: That is the scariest movie I've ever seen. And I
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: blame Peyton for making me watch it. I am so
- 1:22:42Speaker 2: happy I watched it. With the sunshine out coming through
- 1:22:46Speaker 2: my window because it is unnerving in a way that
- 1:22:49Speaker 2: I can't explain because there's no... I mean, there's lots
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: of jump scares and stuff, but it's not like it's
- 1:22:53Speaker 2: a monster.
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: It's the scariest movie you've ever seen.
- 1:22:56Speaker 2: It is the most unnerving thing.
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: I mean, Exorcist, the city insidious.
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: I'm telling you because... It's like all– what do they
- 1:23:04Speaker 2: call it? Practical effects. It's all just stuff happening. I
- 1:23:08Speaker 2: don't know what practical effects is. I mean there's no
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: special effects. It's just scary because the person is scary.
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: Is it because it's like it could really happen? I
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: don't know.
- 1:23:15Speaker 9: That's where I'm thinking, Rich, because for me, I don't
- 1:23:17Speaker 9: find that movie like– Like, scary. Insidious, to me, is
- 1:23:21Speaker 9: a scary movie. Obsession is not.
- 1:23:23Speaker 14: It was creepy.
- 1:23:24Speaker 9: It was weird.
- 1:23:25Speaker 14: It was one of those.
- 1:23:25Speaker 9: I think, Richie, you don't like it because I feel
- 1:23:27Speaker 9: like maybe you're being, like, triggered in some way. Maybe
- 1:23:29Speaker 9: some ex was obsessed with you.
- 1:23:30Speaker 2: I don't like it when people yell at me. When
- 1:23:32Speaker 2: women yell at me like that. Exactly. Like, I feel
- 1:23:34Speaker 2: like that's something... We were having a good time! That's
- 1:23:37Speaker 2: something inside of you that you need to handle.
- 1:23:40Speaker 14: Like, I think that's why it's giving you the heebie-jeebies.
- 1:23:44Speaker 2: And also the thing that she says so much throughout
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: the movie where she goes... I so, I love you so, so,
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: so much. And you heard about the, at Universal, they
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: hired a girl. to play Nikki from Obsession. And she
- 1:23:57Speaker 2: was so good.
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: You mean at the park?
- 1:23:59Speaker 2: At the park, yes. For Halloween.
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: Because I know they hired somebody to play the psycho, Anthony,
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: from the TV show Movie Psycho. Yes. Somebody comes out
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: there and holds.
- 1:24:07Speaker 6: Her in her hands.
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: She's great too.
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: But she's so good that they had to take her
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: off the assignment. I think she might have even lost
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: her job if she was that good. So like you're
- 1:24:13Speaker 2: on the tram and there's a girl standing there or
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: walking around. I love you so, so, so, so much.
- 1:24:19Speaker 2: I'm being all obsessed with you.
- 1:24:21Speaker 9: That's her whole thing is like, she's like so like, Oh,
- 1:24:24Speaker 9: you're so perfect and great, but I hate you so much.
- 1:24:27Speaker 2: That's literally her.
- 1:24:28Speaker 6: Literally.
- 1:24:29Speaker 2: That's the whole movie. I don't know why it's the
- 1:24:31Speaker 2: creepiest thing I've seen in my whole life, but it is.
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: It's streaming on Peacock now, and I don't suggest, Kyle,
- 1:24:37Speaker 2: you watch it, and I don't suggest, John Jay, you
- 1:24:39Speaker 2: watch it, because you will be unnerved for the rest
- 1:24:41Speaker 2: of your days. Stop it right now. It is a
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: good movie. For some reason, watching real-life murderers is a
- 1:24:46Speaker 2: little easier to take than that movie.
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: What's number one on Netflix? Is that Lizzie Borden thing?
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: Is that number one?
- 1:24:51Speaker 9: I haven't gotten into the Lizzie Borden thing, even though
- 1:24:54Speaker 9: I really, really want to.
- 1:24:55Speaker 14: But Kyle, did you finish it?
- 1:24:56Speaker 12: No, I don't need to finish it.
- 1:24:58Speaker 13: I think I watched the first two episodes and it,
- 1:25:00Speaker 13: I don't know. It just, it didn't hold my attention.
- 1:25:04Speaker 9: I saw some of the like teaser clips where she's
- 1:25:07Speaker 9: talking to her dad and whatnot.
- 1:25:08Speaker 14: And I'm just like, I feel like I'm with you.
- 1:25:10Speaker 9: I feel like it's not hitting the way that the
- 1:25:12Speaker 9: Jeffrey Dahmer one did or the Menendez brothers.
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: You know what's number one on Amazon?
- 1:25:17Speaker 3: What?
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: Neegly.
- 1:25:18Speaker 14: What's that?
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: That's the spinoff to Jack Reacher. Jack Reacher's number two.
- 1:25:21Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: I'm two episodes in on Igly. And Reacher's just fantastic.
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: If you're a fan of The Voice, we've got a

- 1:26:16Speaker 2: season 30 tonight. Who are the four judges? Or the coaches,
- 1:26:22Speaker 2: I should say.
- 1:26:24Speaker 10: Oh, I got this down because I'm so excited about it.
- 1:26:28Speaker 10: I'm very excited for Riley Green.
- 1:26:31Speaker 6: Check.
- 1:26:31Speaker 10: First time going to be on, and he's so stinking
- 1:26:34Speaker 10: hot and sexy. I will be looking forward to watching
- 1:26:37Speaker 10: him every week that the season is here.
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:26:42Speaker 10: Okay, so Riley Green... Queen Latifah, Kelly Clarkson, and good
- 1:26:46Speaker 10: old Adam Levine.
- 1:26:47Speaker 2: You got it.
- 1:26:48Speaker 6: All right.
- 1:26:49Speaker 2: Oh, my God. You nailed it.
- 1:26:51Speaker 14: Literally.
- 1:26:51Speaker 2: Best Voice wins award-winning musicians Queen Latifah and Riley Green.
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: They join Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine as coaches for
- 1:26:58Speaker 2: the milestone 30th season of the award-winning musical competition series,
- 1:27:03Speaker 2: The Voice, premiering tonight at 7 on NBC 12 News.
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: Kyle, what do we need to know today?
- 1:27:10Speaker 12: So this is just heartbreaking.
- 1:27:12Speaker 13: 23-year-old Emily Normandin Parker was doing what we kind of
- 1:27:16Speaker 13: tell people to do after a night out. She and
- 1:27:18Speaker 13: her friend called an Uber to get home safely. Her
- 1:27:21Speaker 13: friend got sick, threw up in the car, and instead
- 1:27:23Speaker 13: of getting them somewhere safe, the driver actually pulled over
- 1:27:26Speaker 13: on the freeway. After an argument over what happened, he
- 1:27:30Speaker 13: just drove off, left both women stranded there.
- 1:27:32Speaker 12: Literally on the freeway, right?
- 1:27:33Speaker 14: Oh my gosh, how dangerous.
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 1:27:35Speaker 13: Emily was then hit and killed by another car, and
- 1:27:39Speaker 13: her parents have been fighting it, and they were just
- 1:27:41Speaker 13: awarded $ 40 million after an arbitrator found Uber and the
- 1:27:45Speaker 13: driver responsible.
- 1:27:47Speaker 12: Uber is fighting that decision, but I'm kind of like...
- 1:27:50Speaker 12: Did you guys do the right thing in this situation?
- 1:27:52Speaker 9: That's terrible.
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: That is terrible. Like, so they vomit in your car.
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: The vomit's in there already. Get them somewhere safe.
- 1:27:58Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: That's terrible. Yeah.
- 1:27:59Speaker 13: Obviously they're not well, like you don't, and then you
- 1:28:02Speaker 13: don't leave anybody on the freeway and no matter what
- 1:28:04Speaker 13: their condition is.
- 1:28:04Speaker 14: Like you hear that all the time.
- 1:28:06Speaker 9: If even if a car just pulled over on the
- 1:28:07Speaker 9: side and they have a flat or whatever, sometimes it's just, Oh,
- 1:28:11Speaker 9: that makes me so sad.
- 1:28:12Speaker 6: I know. I know.
- 1:28:13Speaker 13: And I know that like, I mean, the family's getting
- 1:28:15Speaker 13: $ 40 million, but it's never going to bring their daughter back.
- 1:28:18Speaker 13: converse is uh they're going viral for all the wrong
- 1:28:21Speaker 13: reasons right now they have an ad right now that
- 1:28:23Speaker 13: shows k-pop star karina standing under a star-shaped spotlight she's
- 1:28:28Speaker 13: wearing black converse there's black converse lined all around the
- 1:28:31Speaker 13: star from the spotlight but then she's also holding a
- 1:28:34Speaker 13: pair of the converse next to her long white skirt
- 1:28:38Speaker 13: now a lot of people notice that the combination when
- 1:28:42Speaker 13: you zoom in on the skirt and the shoes, it
- 1:28:46Speaker 13: probably unintentionally resembles a KKK lynching situation. And so a
- 1:28:52Speaker 13: lot of people have called this ad racist and asked
- 1:28:55Speaker 13: Converse to take it down.
- 1:28:56Speaker 12: Converse apologized. They pulled the ad.
- 1:28:58Speaker 13: They said, we understand why this image is deeply upsetting
- 1:29:01Speaker 13: and recognize we got this one wrong.
- 1:29:03Speaker 12: And they added, they are working to remove it everywhere.
- 1:29:05Speaker 13: It has appeared saying this should not have happened.
- 1:29:08Speaker 12: We will do better. It's one of those things where
- 1:29:10Speaker 12: you just go like, how did this, like, how did
- 1:29:12Speaker 12: this get through?
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: Like nobody caught it.
- 1:29:14Speaker 9: Nobody caught that.
- 1:29:15Speaker 13: What's the process on how you got, you know, how,
- 1:29:17Speaker 13: you know, you got to analyze stuff like that.
- 1:29:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:29:21Speaker 13: Princess Diana's revenge dress is going up for sale. It's
- 1:29:25Speaker 13: that iconic black dress that she wore in 1994, the
- 1:29:28Speaker 13: same night King Charles now publicly admitted he'd been unfaithful.
- 1:29:34Speaker 12: It is going up for sale. They think it's going
- 1:29:35Speaker 12: to sell probably for about $ 150, 000.
- 1:29:38Speaker 13: To $ 300, 000 at Sotheby's auction. This is one of those
- 1:29:42Speaker 13: that I'm like, oh, I wonder like... I actually wonder
- 1:29:44Speaker 13: if a Kardashian is going to buy it so they
- 1:29:46Speaker 13: can wear it. It's just such an iconic piece of
- 1:29:48Speaker 13: history and an iconic piece of fashion.
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: You know what's funny is I know exactly the dress
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: you're talking about because I remember the revenge dress. Is
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: that what it's called?
- 1:29:57Speaker 12: The revenge dress.
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: Yeah, it's black.
- 1:29:59Speaker 6: Yep.
- 1:30:00Speaker 13: And it's like goes off her shoulders. The Cardinals lost
- 1:30:04Speaker 13: our home opener. It was a little rough, but we
- 1:30:06Speaker 13: are now one and one. So it's, and it's the
- 1:30:08Speaker 13: beginning of the season. So nobody freak out.
- 1:30:10Speaker 12: This is really cool though.
- 1:30:11Speaker 13: You guys, Mesa gateway library now has roaming, which is
- 1:30:15Speaker 13: the United States.
- 1:30:17Speaker 12: First ever library robot.
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: Whoa.
- 1:30:20Speaker 13: And Romy can greet people in eight different languages, help
- 1:30:24Speaker 13: you find your way around the library and even interact
- 1:30:26Speaker 13: with kids.
- 1:30:27Speaker 12: Kind of scary. Not sure if I'm into that part.
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: Does she whisper? She's going to be like, well, she
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: has to answer like quietly.
- 1:30:35Speaker 13: But kind of cool that we have like one of
- 1:30:37Speaker 13: the most innovative libraries in the country. It also just
- 1:30:40Speaker 13: won 2026 public library of the year.
- 1:30:42Speaker 12: It's in her own backyard. So if you're looking for
- 1:30:44Speaker 12: a good library to go to, just head to Mesa.
- 1:30:46Speaker 12: And that's what you need to know.
