  After all these years, there are still people who want to come on

  the show, no matter what. We're talking about, no matter

  what were involved, then, who want to get a taste of that?

  Nostalgia. And what I'm talking about is

  I'm associated with a podcast, I got on a long time ago with the

  drunken peasants. This was during the time.

  before they went on to do Deep Fat fried.

  I was on the show at least from between eight and ten times.

  And at this point, there are still people who watch that

  material and then they come over and they want to ask me

  questions as if it was done yesterday.

  And to be honest with you, a lot of it I can't even remember

  everything that we actually talked about or whatever the
• 2:46
  case was and to be as Fair as possible.

  I was paid a thousand dollars for each show.

  Really, the only thing I was thinking about whenever I got on

  There was getting paid and being able to have nice Christmas has

  those years and all that I didn't really care about the.

  How shall I say the drama or the aggravation?

  It was kind of like kayfabe going on to WWE wrestling or

  something where, you know, two people put on a performance or
• 3:14
  whatever and then people get entertained.

  And that's it. I've been doing so many

  interviews since then and before then and been on so many

  podcasts and shows. I literally, I just simply as

  Older man do not have the memory capacity to remember every

  single topic or subject matter that's ever been thrown at me.

  I apologize for that. Maybe one of these years I'll go

  back and look and see, and be able to give a more extensive
• 3:44
  answer on what the hell was going on, or what was being
• 3:47
  talked about. However, because I seem to have
• 3:52
  been branded Arn to that type of material and content and that's
• 3:59
  something that people go and watch and listen to from time to

  time, I am forced to deal with a lot of people that I don't know.

  Total strangers who come in and ask me, many, many questions

  about my Association and I felt like today, I would answer one

  of the major questions, a lot of people ask, apparently, when
• 4:22
  people go over there and see they can tell that me and the
• 4:25
  Amazing Atheist at least a new kids who are watching that
• 4:28
  stuff. They have found out and
• 4:31
  discovered as he older atheist and religious.

  People already knew this long ago that me and the Amazing
• 4:38
  Atheist actually used to be two peas in a pod.
• 4:40
  We used to be good friends. We used to be two guys, used to
• 4:44
  talk with each other hang with each.
• 4:46
  There and I really, really dug the guy at one point in time.
• 4:51
  So, obviously one of the big questions that the newer
• 4:54
  atheists and the kids, and the young people who watch the show
• 4:58
  nowadays, wonder what happened then how how did you go from
• 5:02
  being like, really, really good friends to it.

  Turning into what it is. You know, during those days of
• 5:09
  drunken peasants and and where is it now?

  Kind of questions. Now, I originally planned on,
• 5:17
  just taking a break for the week and letting people watch all my
• 5:21
  live shows and all my content. I've put an unbelievable amount
• 5:25
  of material over my YouTube channel, and I wanted to give it
• 5:29
  a chance to be seen and heard and all that.

  And I had fully planned on that, but I woke up this morning and
• 5:36
  I'm my wife gave me Some warm pie and orange juice and it
• 5:40
  literally launched me like a monkey on a rocket out in the
• 5:44
  space. I felt like I had a lot of
• 5:45
  energy and I've made a couple videos responding, the questions
• 5:51
  people have had and it's really helped me out in my existence.
• 5:56
  Like people will ask me questions, I'll respond to it
• 5:59
  and then if someone in the future ask a question, I can
• 6:02
  just simply give them the video, they can watch it and then take
• 6:06
  whatever they're going to take from it.
• 6:08
  So I figured why not do that with this topic that way if
• 6:12
  someone comes on my show and they say Brett Keen I'd like to
• 6:15
  know ABCD and all this kind of stuff.

  I can just get it out there and I'm also asked repeatedly and
• 6:23
  interviews to this always seems to get brought up.

  Why was there a crash and burn? Why did Things Fall Apart?

  So now hopefully after I answer this in debt for people though,

  I say ah now I understand I don't have to ask him about it
• 6:42
  in an interview. I don't have to get ahold of him
• 6:44
  on Skype or emailing more. Get on the show, asked him in
• 6:48
  these guys, spend 10 minutes describing why this all went
• 6:53
  down like it dead. Well, the story's pretty simple.

  I like the guy during the time on YouTube, whenever I was
• 7:02
  making videos, The Amazing Atheist has made a couple videos
• 7:06
  in this past, talking about how he admired me and he respected
• 7:10
  me. I was one of the top atheist at
• 7:13
  the time. Now, I'm a Christian.
• 7:14
  Obviously, a Christian theist, is what I refer to myself as,
• 7:20
  and he watched me for a year, whenever I was an atheist and
• 7:24
  the kind of content I was I mean was called church phone calls
• 7:28
  where I called churches, and I debated them, and I discussed
• 7:31
  them. Some videos were actually, you
• 7:34
  got to see me actually aren't video going to a church and
• 7:37
  having a discussion with people. I did videos where I was going
• 7:43
  after the church for all the money that it makes off of
• 7:46
  people. I had this real bad problem with
• 7:50
  some of these churches who would steal from good Christians and
• 7:55
  then Basically run away, take all the money in the vault or
• 7:58
  the case or whatever. And then leave people stranded.

  I also made videos about little old senior citizens, who got
• 8:07
  taken advantage of by TV evangelist.
• 8:10
  I mean, my thing was always about fairness and about truth
• 8:15
  to me, I didn't have like some kind of chip on my shoulder
• 8:21
  whenever it came to the concept of God.
• 8:24
  In fact if somebody He came along and proved to me that God
• 8:27
  existed back. Then whenever I was an atheist,
• 8:30
  it wouldn't hurt me now and it wouldn't have caused any
• 8:33
  problems. I was more than willing to
• 8:36
  listen and hear what people had to say and that's one of the
• 8:40
  reasons why I started getting chose to go along to begin with.
• 8:44
  We're Christians were allowed to talk me, 24/7 practically and I
• 8:50
  suppose I'm still kind of that way.
• 8:52
  Now where people can come talk to me and and do do the same
• 8:57
  thing. I think that I've gotten better
• 8:59
  technology since and now if I don't mind Pat myself on the
• 9:03
  back for that. So I'm promoting The Amazing
• 9:09
  Atheist. He said that one of the videos,
• 9:14
  one of the kind of videos that he watched of me, that really
• 9:17
  struck a chord, was the videos where I talked about personal
• 9:21
  stuff as many of, you know, since the time of doing YouTube,
• 9:26
  I would make playlists. And I had a personal diary
• 9:30
  playlist and I still have one where I share some of the pains
• 9:34
  and anguish has happened in my life.
• 9:36
  Basically, people could find out about my life whenever I was an
• 9:41
  atheist, And one of the problems that was happening during that
• 9:46
  time almost 20 years ago was, I was taking care of a disabled
• 9:50
  child, whom the doctor said was going to pass away.
• 9:54
  So atheist and religious people were constantly wanting update
• 9:59
  Sprouts. What's going on with your kids?
• 10:01
  How's your wife doing and all that?
• 10:03
  How is your family? Wanting to know.
• 10:07
  If my daughter was healthy issues, getting any stronger,
• 10:10
  she was healing. And a lot of eight.
• 10:12
  Atheists and religious. People were very invested in my
• 10:15
  life and what was going on with my, my loved ones.
• 10:20
  And I really appreciated that I'll I'll never forget the love
• 10:24
  and kindness that atheist and Christians and people of other
• 10:28
  faiths had towards my family and what was going on in my life.
• 10:33
  Well, the Amazing Atheist. We started talking about that
• 10:38
  and he said, hey man, he goes. I know I know some atheists.
• 10:43
  Actually told you that you should probably put a PayPal
• 10:46
  link out for the Times whenever you have bad bills or you're
• 10:50
  getting overwhelmed with hospital bills.
• 10:53
  You see, I ended up the reason why I ended up putting PayPal
• 10:56
  out in the first place is because people encouraged me to
• 11:00
  do that because I was getting my family was getting Overwhelmed
• 11:03
  and hospital bills for our child.
• 11:06
  We didn't have health insurance and we couldn't afford it.
• 11:10
  So we were getting buried under debt and he noticed that I put
• 11:15
  that PayPal link out due to the encouragement suggestion of
• 11:18
  non-believers. And he said, how much money are
• 11:22
  you rolling in to take care of your daughter, and all that in
• 11:26
  your family? And I said, well, it helps with
• 11:30
  bills. It helps with You know, being
• 11:34
  able to get diapers and helps with being able to get groceries
• 11:37
  around the house, it's not making a huge impact on the
• 11:40
  debt. That's Bill did not but it's
• 11:43
  it's definitely making life a little bit more tolerable and
• 11:47
  possible to exist and he said that's pretty amazing.
• 11:52
  He said so if a person gets up on video and talked about like
• 11:56
  pain and problems and all that, then people may help out and I
• 12:00
  said well the atheist community. I told him I said TJ the amazing
• 12:06
  I said the atheist and the Christians out there are very
• 12:10
  kind they were at least at that time period.
• 12:14
  They were really really helpful. So I said to him.

  Yeah there if people have problems and someone thinks that
• 12:22
  they can help these people appear to have extremely big
• 12:26
  hearts and they want to they want to try to do the best they
• 12:29
  can. They're very charitable very
• 12:32
  altruistic. And he goes, huh?

  Well, that's interesting. Now, to be honest with you, I
• 12:40
  had no idea why he was so fascinated with the income that
• 12:45
  was coming in or anything like that.
• 12:48
  I figured he just wanted to know if my family was being taken
• 12:52
  care of or something, I figured he was just showing some kind of
• 12:56
  concern and we talked and we talked and we talked and then
• 13:00
  one day he ended up getting a blogtv and he started telling
• 13:06
  people that he was sexually abused by his father Family
• 13:09
  members and he also said that he got raped by someone in the
• 13:14
  church. And I remember when he said that
• 13:18
  my chin just hit the ground, I was like, oh my God, I won't, I
• 13:23
  didn't say. Oh my God, I was an atheist
• 13:25
  time. But I was like, oh shit
• 13:28
  basically. Wow, I did not know this.
• 13:30
  I've talked to this guy so many times and then promoting his
• 13:34
  channel and he never, once told me any of this really dark
• 13:39
  horrible stuff. And I even started to get this
• 13:43
  idea in my head. Now, this is probably why he
• 13:46
  ended up leaving the church that was ran by his father and all
• 13:50
  that the father who went to prison for scamming people
• 13:53
  because I knew all about that. I knew about his father, ripping
• 13:56
  35 million dollars off of kids and doing all that, but I didn't
• 14:01
  hold that against TJ himself his father did the scamming and then
• 14:05
  TJ was completely separate from what his father did is how I
• 14:10
  felt about. Bout it.

  Even though TJ did tell me he worked for his dad a few times,
• 14:15
  I still didn't condemn him or hold it against him.
• 14:20
  If anybody's interested in that, you can look into something
• 14:23
  called the Thomas Kirk diploma Mill fraud.

  Scandal that was big his father went to prison for it.

  Well TJ got on blogtv. He tells people these horrible
• 14:40
  stories about what was happening and then immediately after
• 14:44
  telling the stories, he put a PayPal link up for people to
• 14:50
  donate money to him. He said, look, I'm having it
• 14:53
  real hard I've been thinking about all this stuff and I could
• 14:56
  really use some help from The Atheist Community or even
• 14:59
  religious people if you want to do things and he looked really
• 15:03
  somber, the video is in black and white.

  YouTube channel, you can all see it for yourself.

  In case you have any doubts or skepticism about what I'm

  talking about. So, obviously being that, I

  loved the guy I cared about him after hearing this horrid thing

  that he decided to tell publicly thousands of people who
• 15:27
  generously ended up donating tons of money to him.

  I would eventually get on Skype. I just got done doing a show
• 15:39
  with someone not like a podcast show but I was doing like an
• 15:44
  interview with someone and I wasn't sure the person that I
• 15:47
  was doing an interview with was trustworthy.

  So I have this tendency where I record my conversations to make
• 15:54
  sure that the person doesn't try to take me out of context or
• 15:58
  edit me up or do anything ignorant with the video.

  And I forgot that I still had the thing recorded and I ended
• 16:05
  up pulling TJ into a call with me where he got up on video in.

  It was like I think we were using Skype at the time and he
• 16:16
  was on video and he was still had that black and white screen
• 16:19
  that was going on. He had not changed his filters
• 16:24
  or anything on the video and I said to him, TJ, this is
• 16:28
  horrible, I'm so sorry about what happened.

  What happened to you about you getting sexually, abused and all
• 16:35
  that and I said no wonder you're so pissed off at the god concept
• 16:39
  and religion. No wonder you come out as the
• 16:41
  Amazing Atheist and all that you have sounds like you got a lot
• 16:45
  of pain in your life, man. If you ever need to talk about
• 16:49
  it or you ever need to, you know, have somebody to cry with
• 16:53
  or whatever. I'm here for you, man.

  I've been abused in my life. I got hurt and everything.

  And now I felt like Maybe this was a time that we could share

  with each other and just really bombed as friends and all that

  and relate with abuse has happened in our life and he knew

  that I went through some miserable crap.

  And my existence, I in reality, my life was hell growing up.

  Well, I don't know if it was like some kind of Consciousness

  thing or if he just felt bad because he had did what he did
• 17:33
  to that audience. But for some reason, he decided
• 17:36
  to have the moment of honesty with me.

  Maybe it's because he respected me and admired me at that moment
• 17:44
  or something. Why he decided to tell me this
• 17:46
  and didn't just intentionally come out, lying to me.

  But he said, Brett and I've got this video up because I
• 17:54
  accidentally recorded that, as I told you all, I was doing a like
• 17:59
  an interview thing before he got on the phone, so I didn't intend
• 18:03
  on doing this, but once I had it, I was kind of between a rock
• 18:07
  and a hard place. He said brat I never, I never
• 18:12
  had anything like that. Happen to me, I never was
• 18:14
  sexually, abused. I was no one ever did anything
• 18:18
  like that. Nothing, dark ever happened to
• 18:22
  me. Brad, And I'm like what?

  And he said, no man, nothing, nothing like that happened.

  He said, I watched your videos but where you talked about the
• 18:33
  real abuse and pain, that happened in your life, and I
• 18:37
  watched people donating and supporting you and I just wanted
• 18:42
  some money. I wanted some attention.

  And I go you did this for money. You did this for attention?

  What, what the hell, man and I said don't do, don't you
• 18:55
  realize. There's people out there who are
• 18:57
  hurting and suffering, who have went through absolute hell, who

  actually do need help and you do this, I said, why didn't you
• 19:06
  just make a video where you said that you needed help with your
• 19:09
  bills or something? You're having a hard you didn't
• 19:11
  have to make up some shed or tell some false story like that,
• 19:15
  that was horrible. What you did.

  And he goes, yeah, well what can I say?

  I'm a sociopath so, After that, I couldn't look at his face

  anymore, I couldn't talk to him. I felt like he was no more
• 19:37
  better than his father. Scamming people, and using his
• 19:40
  Charisma, and his imagination and creativity to rip people

  off. That's the reason why I called

  him a scammer. That's the reason why I called
• 19:49
  him a lying fraud because he used his popularity in The
• 19:54
  Atheist community, that tell them SOB stories that weren't
• 19:58
  even true. Stories about having the most

  horrific kind of abuse happened to him.

  And then he ripped people off aren't all that money.

  How can you forgive somebody like that?

  How can you I mean what do you do from that point on when you

  find out the someone is willing to falsely accuse, their own
• 20:22
  family members and people in their life or even blame a
• 20:28
  Christian Church never did nothing wrong to him.

  He I just didn't, I was speechless.

  I didn't know what to do with this.

  So that was the first incident, everybody always ask, what was

  the first thing that caused it to ignite?

  What was the first thing that causes the crash and burn and

  that was it? So obviously people are going to

  ask. What did you do about it?

  Well, I actually pondered it for about a week before I made my

  move. I thought should I just forget

  it? And that would be really

  difficult for me because I was one of the main atheist at that

  time. Who used to bitch, about

  Christians and preachers who steal money from the vulnerable
• 21:18
  in the week? I would make videos about abuse
• 21:23
  that goes on and how nobody says anything.

  How you hear about these the Catholic church with priest
• 21:30
  being moved around and not getting any consequences for
• 21:33
  what they do because nobody speaks up or does the right
• 21:38
  thing? And also, I cared about the
• 21:42
  atheist community. So I thought if I don't say
• 21:45
  something, this pastured may continue to rip people off.

  So I didn't know what to do. I was fighting with this moral
• 21:55
  ethical dilemma inside my heart on how I should handle it.

  There was the one thing where I had learned to care about this
• 22:06
  guy for all this time, and I wanted to, I had wanted the

  support am originally but now I didn't trust him.

  And I felt like people were getting abused.

  Manipulated and emotionally dragged through the dirt in
• 22:25
  order to have this happen. Well, I decided But the best
• 22:34
  practice I could do is just tell the truth and tell people would
• 22:37
  happen. And I had the video to but the
• 22:40
  back myself up and prove it. So, I put the video up, I let
• 22:46
  everybody see, and I expected it to be a dumpster fire.

  I expected everything to just explode.

  I expected that the atheist Community would be extremely
• 23:00
  pissed off. But something ended up happened
• 23:04
  and that shocked me. It surprised me instead of a lot
• 23:10
  of atheist. He lot of younger atheists, who
• 23:12
  looked up to t.j. Kirk or the Amazing Atheist.

  Instead of them seeing that as abuse and itself or a lie
• 23:21
  straight from the Bottomless Pits of hell, they decided that
• 23:27
  they would find every reason possible to burn me.
• 23:33
  It's like they cared about the guy so much and they felt that
• 23:37
  what he was doing was so important that they literally
• 23:41
  close their eyes to what he had done.
• 23:44
  And they kept on promoting and promoting and they would invest
• 23:49
  hours and hours of making videos trying to make me look like the
• 23:53
  crappiest worst person in the world.

  They said, everything from claiming I was a pedophile who
• 24:03
  had sex with his own kids. They claim that I abused my
• 24:06
  wife. They claimed that I was a
• 24:08
  plagiarists. They knew that I was in Arthur
• 24:10
  and that I was selling books, so they ended up spilling in on to
• 24:15
  my Amazon older books that I used to have up.
• 24:20
  I have new ones now and decided to say things.
• 24:24
  Like, Brett keen. Can't write, he's a piece of
• 24:27
  shit. He's An idiot, blah, blah, blah.

  And I got this unbelievable amount of hate where these
• 24:33
  people just went out of their way to say everything bright
• 24:37
  Keen, throws his friendships away.

  Brett Keen turns on his friends, right?

  Keen can't be trusted, but Keen is not loyal.

  Brett kinas not good. They decided they basically it

  kind of reminds me of whenever the Jews were given a choice by

  the Romans and who do you want us to crucify the murderer?

  Or the savior of mankind. Now, I don't consider myself to

  save your mankind. I'm just giving you an analogy.

  I'm nowhere. Even close to being a saint.

  Folks, I've had my flaws and mistakes.

  I've always been honest about that, but it was kind of like

  the Jews are given a choice. Do you want your murderer?

  The guy who will move on forward destroying your enemies and

  doing the things that he did because that's what Barabbas

  Jesus was preaching Peaks and kindness.

  Basically what the atheist had done in this analogy is they

  chose the Destroyer. They wanted the, they wanted the

  bad guy who was willing to do anything and to be their

  mouthpiece, they didn't want the piece, they didn't want the

  chill non-believer at that time, they didn't care.

  They put the wise and said, fine, he did this.

  He did that, we don't care. And they. literally, for I mean

  even now they some of them still go along with that crap and

  that's the story. That's, that's how it all

  unfolded. And obviously eventually I'd end

  up on the show and everything like that, drunken peasants many

  years later and then that would be basically a repeat.

  But I want to let you all know that when I originally got on

  the show. I had had a long conversation

  with TJ and the story was that we were supposed to try to put

  all of it under the bridge. We were supposed to put it aside
• 26:42
  and try to have a friendly podcast or show where we simply
• 26:46
  entertain people and there was comedy.

  But unfortunately TJ had swindled me again.

  You'd basically lied. He didn't want peace.

  He didn't want to shake hands and put bygones or in bike.

  Dawn's. No, instead he brought up

  several of his buddies and they decide to take turns trying to
• 27:07
  destroy me and that's what happened at least, that's how I
• 27:12
  remember it. Well, for now worn.

  This video has been really rude. It's refreshing for me to be

  able to put this out there because I don't have to in the

  future. Say anything about it.

  Again, I don't want to talk about it anymore, I don't want
