- 0:05Speaker 1: NFL Now is a production of the NFL in partnership
- 0:08Speaker 1: with I Heart Radio. And then there were none as
- 0:20Speaker 1: we had to week number eleven. There are no longer
- 0:23Speaker 1: undefeated teams. It's only been teamed for a while in
- 0:27Speaker 1: the National Football League. Welcome to NFL Now on NFL
- 0:30Speaker 1: Network from our news room in Los Angeles. My name
- 0:32Speaker 1: is Andrew Cecilian. Don't come it up. The highlight from Philadelphia,
- 0:35Speaker 1: how the Commanders gave the Eagles their first loss. That
- 0:39Speaker 1: is in a moment. We have breaking news, however, into
- 0:43Speaker 1: our news room here on the Tuesday, and that is
- 0:45Speaker 1: breaking news from here in Los Angeles. Cooper Cup, as
- 0:49Speaker 1: we told you, does have a high ankle sprain, but
- 0:52Speaker 1: now he needs surgery. Sean McVeigh made that announcement within
- 0:55Speaker 1: the past. Our Cup is going to injured reserve. It's
- 0:59Speaker 1: a minimum of four weeks. Might his season be over
- 1:07Speaker 1: more than anything, especially this year, is let's just take
- 1:10Speaker 1: it a day at a time. UM, let's see how
- 1:13Speaker 1: that procedure goes tomorrow when he gets that done. UM,
- 1:17Speaker 1: let's make sure that all the things that they initially
- 1:19Speaker 1: thought based on what the m R I looked like.
- 1:21Speaker 1: We're in alignment. How does that surgery go? But um,
- 1:24Speaker 1: I don't think you want to pigeon all yourself into
- 1:26Speaker 1: one of one approach. But you do know that, um,
- 1:29Speaker 1: you know that's the first step is the is the surgery,
- 1:33Speaker 1: and then you know the appropriate steps will be followed
- 1:35Speaker 1: after that. But that's kind of where we're where we
- 1:38Speaker 1: are right now. All right, little more inside now for
- 1:40Speaker 1: Mike Garrofolo do the insider duty today after doing good
- 1:43Speaker 1: Morning Football today. Thanks for doing the double tip here, Garafolo.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Rams are three and six, so this is a four
- 1:50Speaker 1: to six week injury obviously with the surgery and minimal
- 1:53Speaker 1: four weeks out on injured reserve. I mean, I guess
- 1:57Speaker 1: a lot depends on where the Rams are on the
- 1:59Speaker 1: standings in December. There's no question that this is being
- 2:03Speaker 1: done with the hope that the Rams are gonna win
- 2:05Speaker 1: some ball games and be in the the playoff run
- 2:08Speaker 1: down the stretch here and Cooper Cup comes back and
- 2:11Speaker 1: plays in some meaningful games. Yeah, But if it's not
- 2:14Speaker 1: the case, and it's pretty clear that they're not going
- 2:16Speaker 1: to be heading into the postseason, then perhaps this is
- 2:19Speaker 1: the last we see if Cooper Cup on the field,
- 2:22Speaker 1: in which would be uh an absolute shame because he's
- 2:26Speaker 1: terrific player to watch, not a terrific player to have
- 2:29Speaker 1: to cover. That's the problem for opposing defenses. But uh,
- 2:32Speaker 1: not much has gone the way the Rams had hoped
- 2:34Speaker 1: as they tried to run this thing back after winning
- 2:37Speaker 1: the Super Bowl last year. And this is just the
- 2:39Speaker 1: latest example in a very strange and frustrating season for
- 2:44Speaker 1: the Los Angeles Rams. Usually about you know, six weeks
- 2:47Speaker 1: or so with this type of surgery, give or take
- 2:51Speaker 1: a week or two on either side. So we'll see
- 2:53Speaker 1: about the timeline. As you saw Sean McVeigh there, uh
- 2:56Speaker 1: talk about, well, let's get the procedure done and then
- 2:58Speaker 1: go from there. We know how hard Cooper Cup works periods,
- 3:01Speaker 1: so you imagine that that uh work ethic will now
- 3:04Speaker 1: be dedicated towards his rehab and return. But yeah, at
- 3:09Speaker 1: least an outside chance we won't take Cooper Cup again
- 3:11Speaker 1: on the field this season, we'll, all right. So for
- 3:12Speaker 1: those wondering, um, it is the tight rope procedure which
- 3:16Speaker 1: could get him back a little bit sooner. Hypothetically, McVeigh
- 3:19Speaker 1: won't make any announcement on that on that, as you
- 3:21Speaker 1: heard him say, until the surgery is done. Also, Matthew
- 3:24Speaker 1: Stafford still in concussion protocol. Rams were putting offensive lineman
- 3:27Speaker 1: Aleric Jackson and Chandler Brewer an injured reserve, but they
- 3:31Speaker 1: might get David Edwards back. But regardless, it looks like
- 3:34Speaker 1: a ten different online combination in ten weeks coming up
- 3:39Speaker 1: in New Orleans this Sunday, I want to focus here
- 3:41Speaker 1: on the Eagles. As James Palmer you just heard me
- 3:44Speaker 1: say A j. Brown tweeted all that seventeen and oh
- 3:46Speaker 1: bleep is now over with. It's how they respond respond
- 3:51Speaker 1: was the number one word that was said in the
- 3:53Speaker 1: Eagles locker room that I was in after this loss
- 3:54Speaker 1: to the Commanders on Monday night. Andrew, and you have
- 3:57Speaker 1: to look at adversity first. This team hasn't had a
- 3:59Speaker 1: whole lot of it when they started the season eight. No,
- 4:01Speaker 1: they haven't had balls not go their way, they haven't
- 4:03Speaker 1: made mistakes self and flicting wounds, they haven't had calls
- 4:06Speaker 1: go against them. So now we're seeing that they have
- 4:10Speaker 1: some adversity after this game, and how do they respond well.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Accountability is a huge part of this Eagles locker room
- 4:15Speaker 1: and wrote an article about it last week. They believe
- 4:17Speaker 1: they hold each other to a very high standard. Left
- 4:19Speaker 1: tackle Jordan Mylotta was telling me after the game we
- 4:22Speaker 1: saw that Brandon Graham penalty at the end of the game.
- 4:24Speaker 1: He said, b g came up to me in the toilet.
- 4:26Speaker 1: He's allowed to say that because he's Australian. That means
- 4:29Speaker 1: bathroom to come up to me. And said, that's my bad.
- 4:31Speaker 1: That's on me, that that was my fault. And I
- 4:33Speaker 1: talked to Brandon Graham after the game and he said,
- 4:36Speaker 1: I'm excited to see how we respond to this because
- 4:39Speaker 1: in two thousand seventeen when we won the Super Bowl,
- 4:41Speaker 1: we at times where we were cruising and he said,
- 4:43Speaker 1: I don't want to say that we were cruising at
- 4:45Speaker 1: eight no, but we maybe we're feeling ourselves a little bit.
- 4:48Speaker 1: I want to see how we respond to this. And
- 4:50Speaker 1: my Alotta followed later when I spoke to him Andrew
- 4:53Speaker 1: saying that that's his favorite thing about this locker room,
- 4:55Speaker 1: that guys hold themselves to that standard. And now they
- 4:58Speaker 1: have a narrative Jeff that has out there. According to
- 5:02Speaker 1: Nick Sirianni, if you run the football against us, that's
- 5:04Speaker 1: how you be. They now have three running backs coming
- 5:07Speaker 1: at them and Jonathan Taylor, Aaron Jones, and Derrick Henry
- 5:11Speaker 1: in the next three games exactly here James Palmer toilet
- 5:15Speaker 1: humor literally humor about but I had to get it
- 5:18Speaker 1: in there. I mean, brilliant. All right. Let's talk about
- 5:23Speaker 1: the Commanders in their quarterback here Jeff Hitty because Taylor
- 5:27Speaker 1: Heineck they love him, They truly do love them. They
- 5:29Speaker 1: try to replace him of the offseason, but here he
- 5:32Speaker 1: is now three and one with Carson Wentz out, but
- 5:34Speaker 1: Wentz is do back soon. What do they do well?
- 5:39Speaker 1: I think Tyler Haneke looks like the obvious choice to
- 5:42Speaker 1: keep playing. And I know Ron Rivera has been very
- 5:45Speaker 1: coy about wanting to deal with this decision that was looming.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Even last week he talked about, let's play the game
- 5:51Speaker 1: and see what happens. After this game. He was talking
- 5:54Speaker 1: about Honneke's grit in leadership, and McLaren was talking about,
- 5:58Speaker 1: you can see this team plays differently when he's playing quarterbacks.
- 6:01Speaker 1: So I don't see how you can go away from
- 6:03Speaker 1: a player who's gotten you three wins in the last
- 6:05Speaker 1: four games without great stats. To be honest with you,
- 6:08Speaker 1: I mean, he's only completing passes and he's only he's
- 6:11Speaker 1: actually had five turnovers. But this team plays differently, and
- 6:14Speaker 1: Ron Rivera is a gambler river boat Ron, He's probably
- 6:17Speaker 1: gonna ride this one out with this quarterback guy. All right,
- 6:20Speaker 1: next week if it is Taylor Heineck either on the
- 6:22Speaker 1: road on a short week against the one win Houston Texans,
- 6:27Speaker 1: a team that if the playoffs were to start right now,
- 6:29Speaker 1: well they wouldn't be in them, but they would have
- 6:31Speaker 1: the first overall pick. Thank you, James Palmer, Thank you
- 6:35Speaker 1: Jeff Chitty. At the Eagles finally lose, the Commanders get
- 6:38Speaker 1: the five hundred at five and five. All right, Yeah,
- 6:42Speaker 1: that game is big in Houston, kind of sort of,
- 6:45Speaker 1: this game is bigger. It's the Vikings and the Cowboys
- 6:50Speaker 1: in Minnesota with right now the Vikings right on the
- 6:56Speaker 1: Eagles heel with the number two seed in the NFC. Remember,
- 7:00Speaker 1: Philadelphia does have that week to head to head that
- 7:03Speaker 1: certainly may after after eighteen weeks, this game means a lot.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Jim Trotter, Brian Baldinger back with me. The Vikings have
- 7:13Speaker 1: ripped off seven consecutive What's most impressive to you, you know,
- 7:20Speaker 1: Andrew's the fact that each of those seven wins have
- 7:22Speaker 1: been by one possession um one possession scores. So what's
- 7:26Speaker 1: interesting here is that even after they beat Buffalo, what
- 7:28Speaker 1: do you still here? You still hear people saying that
- 7:30Speaker 1: the Bills are a better team than the Vikings. And
- 7:32Speaker 1: if you're Kevin O'Connell, you have to love this. When
- 7:35Speaker 1: I was in that locker room earlier this year and
- 7:38Speaker 1: talking to those players about how they were being minimized
- 7:40Speaker 1: in terms of national covers, they said, that's fine. What
- 7:43Speaker 1: we're gonna go out and do is earn it and
- 7:45Speaker 1: keep stacking wins and that, and that's what they've done now.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I called one coach who was lost to the to
- 7:50Speaker 1: the Vikings and said, look, just how real are they?
- 7:53Speaker 1: And he said, I don't view this the way other
- 7:55Speaker 1: people do. He said, they are for real. And he
- 7:58Speaker 1: said when you win close games like that, that reflects
- 8:01Speaker 1: competitive character. And that's what the Minnesota vike and absolutely,
- 8:07Speaker 1: and right now they have the quarterback making every single throw,
- 8:10Speaker 1: whereas Jerry Jones Baldy is on the radio defending Dak Prescott.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Compare these two guys right now, Well, I think you
- 8:20Speaker 1: know Dak had he didn't have his best game, you
- 8:22Speaker 1: know on Sunday, Um, you know, the interceptions. One looked
- 8:26Speaker 1: like miscommunication with him and c D And you wonder,
- 8:29Speaker 1: how can that be. It's their number one wide receiver. Uh,
- 8:34Speaker 1: he just didn't look real sharp, you know. And to
- 8:37Speaker 1: lose a lead like that, it always kind of falls
- 8:39Speaker 1: on the quarterback. I don't want to put it all
- 8:41Speaker 1: on Doc because defensively, uh, they were terrible against the
- 8:44Speaker 1: run that they looked tired at the end of that game,
- 8:47Speaker 1: the way the Packers ran the ball against him. But
- 8:50Speaker 1: I think that right now, you know, Dallas has to
- 8:53Speaker 1: kind of maybe take a look back at what they
- 8:55Speaker 1: were doing when Cooper Rush was at quarterback, because they
- 8:58Speaker 1: really concentrated on running the football and protecting the quarterback
- 9:02Speaker 1: rather than trying to be this big spread off fence
- 9:05Speaker 1: where he had all these different options and you're asking
- 9:08Speaker 1: a very veteran quarterback to read the whole field. I
- 9:11Speaker 1: feel like that might not be the best formula for
- 9:14Speaker 1: this team, especially against the team that can run it
- 9:17Speaker 1: like Green Bay can, where maybe you want to take
- 9:19Speaker 1: a little air out of the ball and maybe you
- 9:21Speaker 1: want to be able to, you know, control the tempo
- 9:24Speaker 1: of the game a little bit better with your running game,
- 9:27Speaker 1: and so just something to look at. I'm sure Mike
- 9:29Speaker 1: McCarthy's looking at the whole thing right now, because that
- 9:31Speaker 1: one will sting for a while, the way that they
- 9:34Speaker 1: lost on Sunday. Yeah, and the Vikings are rather the
- 9:36Speaker 1: Cowboys do not want that owen to NFC North Green Bay,
- 9:41Speaker 1: Minnesota road trip to drop them. Coming up next huge
- 9:45Speaker 1: game of the NFC West, and it's in Mexico City.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Buddha is here, Buddha Baker on Cardinals camps straight ahead
- 9:54Speaker 1: and thin can stop me. So Germany was amazing, Munich fantastic.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Monday Night is going to be so cool. We are
- 10:05Speaker 1: back in Mexico CITYSCA for the forty Niners and the Cardinals,
- 10:11Speaker 1: a rematch, if you will, of the very first regular
- 10:15Speaker 1: season game played outside the US, these same two teams
- 10:20Speaker 1: in two thousand and five. That was pretty darn cool.
- 10:24Speaker 1: With one hundred and three thousand people there in Denny
- 10:27Speaker 1: Green coaching in two thousand and five, Josh McCown through
- 10:31Speaker 1: three D five that day. Great rivalry, great game, great atmosphere,
- 10:35Speaker 1: felt una semana, which means one week to go before
- 10:38Speaker 1: Monday Night football. This guy is gonna be there coming
- 10:40Speaker 1: off a huge win here in l A Buddha Baker
- 10:43Speaker 1: of the Arizona Cardinals joins us on NFL. Now, how
- 10:46Speaker 1: are you, Buddha? I'm doing great. How about you doing well?
- 10:50Speaker 1: Can you imagine what that atmosphere after watching them Munich game.
- 10:54Speaker 1: I know you watched that from your hotel room on
- 10:56Speaker 1: Sunday morning. What that is gonna be like for you
- 10:58Speaker 1: guys on Monday night. Yeah, definitely a special atmosphere, you know,
- 11:03Speaker 1: like you said, watching in Jeremy, you know those guys
- 11:06Speaker 1: uh traveled well of course. Um and in Mexico it's
- 11:10Speaker 1: going to be the same exact thing. Very excited. This
- 11:12Speaker 1: team is excited to go over there and play in
- 11:15Speaker 1: front of some more fans, some different fans, more fans,
- 11:18Speaker 1: different fans. A hundred and three thousand fans for that
- 11:22Speaker 1: first game. They could pack a hundred grand into that stadium. Buddha.
- 11:26Speaker 1: It's at altitude, just got the noise. It's it's like,
- 11:30Speaker 1: have they been talking to you guys about how cool
- 11:32Speaker 1: that's gonna be at how different it's going to be
- 11:34Speaker 1: for you? Oh yeah, yeah, you know. You know my
- 11:38Speaker 1: rookie year, we played out in London against the Rams,
- 11:41Speaker 1: So that was definitely a total different experience and this
- 11:44Speaker 1: is just gonna be another experience for us, experience for
- 11:47Speaker 1: these young guys, and um, you know, it's gonna be
- 11:50Speaker 1: very exciting. Like you said, a hundred hundred thousand, that's
- 11:54Speaker 1: a lot of people. So it's gonna be very fun,
- 11:56Speaker 1: very lively, and hopefully, you know, we get that. W
- 12:00Speaker 1: Do you have anything special planned, like any special outfit
- 12:04Speaker 1: walking to the stadium getting off the bus. You know,
- 12:07Speaker 1: I don't know yet. I don't know yet. You know,
- 12:09Speaker 1: I'm still thinking about it. Uh, you know, we'll see.
- 12:12Speaker 1: All right, you got a week to plan it. But
- 12:13Speaker 1: as you said, you're coming off a wind which is
- 12:16Speaker 1: certainly big, and I know it's huge for you, Budda.
- 12:19Speaker 1: You have the interception. You guys came here owing three
- 12:21Speaker 1: in the division and you beat the Rams. Budda, you
- 12:24Speaker 1: weren't supposed to play in this game. They told you
- 12:28Speaker 1: you'd be out what three to four weeks? Yeah? Yeah,
- 12:33Speaker 1: and yeah you made it because your teammates call you
- 12:36Speaker 1: a wolverine. Yeah yeah. You know when they told me
- 12:41Speaker 1: that got the m R I in. They told me
- 12:43Speaker 1: and for me, you know, I'm a big ticket one
- 12:46Speaker 1: day at a time person, So you know, I know
- 12:49Speaker 1: they told me that, but at the end of the day,
- 12:51Speaker 1: I was gonna work, you know, my buttock to try
- 12:53Speaker 1: to get back onto that field as soon as possible.
- 12:56Speaker 1: And uh, you know, kudos to the to the Arizona
- 12:58Speaker 1: Cardinals training staff and um, you know, just the tremendous
- 13:02Speaker 1: hours of work I put in to get that ankle
- 13:04Speaker 1: right good in to play. And uh, you know, I
- 13:06Speaker 1: told him I was gonna play, and of course there
- 13:09Speaker 1: was some you know, I don't know yet, but I said,
- 13:12Speaker 1: you know, I'm gonna warm up early and then we'll
- 13:14Speaker 1: we'll take it at that. So, uh definitely got to
- 13:18Speaker 1: got to play. Glad we got the w and uh
- 13:21Speaker 1: you know, now on to you missed only twelve snaps,
- 13:24Speaker 1: so you did more than just play. You played well
- 13:26Speaker 1: and you barely came off the field. You also tweeted
- 13:29Speaker 1: when you did come off the field. I can't say
- 13:32Speaker 1: the whole thing on air, Buddha, but you said quote
- 13:35Speaker 1: hashtag sore as Yep. Now you're feeling now, oh man,
- 13:42Speaker 1: you know, definitely a lot better. Um, you know, gonna
- 13:45Speaker 1: continue to get my treatment in and uh, continue to
- 13:48Speaker 1: get my ankle right, so I can play this Sunday.
- 13:51Speaker 1: So um, you know, it didn't really feel anything during
- 13:53Speaker 1: the game, and then of course after that, after that
- 13:56Speaker 1: last snap, you know it's all the all the adrenaline
- 13:59Speaker 1: and all that type of stuff. Where is out? And
- 14:02Speaker 1: you know I had had a little bit of soretness,
- 14:04Speaker 1: But so glad we got that w He also wrote,
- 14:07Speaker 1: the mind is very powerful, something I think we can
- 14:10Speaker 1: all agree upon. Last week, for those who didn't see it,
- 14:12Speaker 1: you were kind of sort of Buddha, the star of
- 14:15Speaker 1: the u first episode of The New Hard Knocks on
- 14:19Speaker 1: HBO Max. I mean, we've had you before, we had
- 14:21Speaker 1: John inside train to Camp Alive. Everyone loves your energy,
- 14:23Speaker 1: everyone loves your play, but they saw a different side
- 14:26Speaker 1: of you. Let's roll the table if we don't embarrass
- 14:28Speaker 1: you too much. Somebody play harder than Buddha. Get a game.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Watch when the something comes from here trying to play harder?
- 14:40Speaker 1: What kind of defense? What we have? Hey, listen up,
- 14:43Speaker 1: listen to man. We're going in this. We mad angry.
- 14:47Speaker 1: We gotta make the slimy, make the dirty. When that's
- 14:52Speaker 1: the only go on our mindset is whin That's it. Man.
- 14:55Speaker 1: We gave him one in Seattle with when when? Hey, man,
- 15:00Speaker 1: when Buddha? Who is that guy? Because on TV be
- 15:05Speaker 1: you are the chilliest, calmist, respectful, quietest dude here. Who's
- 15:11Speaker 1: that guy? Oh man? You know that guy is just
- 15:14Speaker 1: a very passionate guy that you know, of course wants
- 15:17Speaker 1: to win. You know, I hate losing, um, whether that's
- 15:21Speaker 1: a football game or rock paper scissors. You know, I'm
- 15:24Speaker 1: very competitive guy. I've been like that my whole entire life.
- 15:26Speaker 1: And if I can control some type of you know,
- 15:30Speaker 1: awareness to you know, let's work at work and win
- 15:33Speaker 1: on Sundays, then I'm gonna do that every single time.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Because of course there's no iron team and this is
- 15:39Speaker 1: a big team for us. Everybody has to play collective
- 15:41Speaker 1: football and uh, you know, everybody has to have that
- 15:45Speaker 1: one goal in one mindset each and every week, and
- 15:47Speaker 1: that is to win. So you know, I'm just telling
- 15:50Speaker 1: my guys, man, it's win win, no other thing else win.
- 15:53Speaker 1: So that's why I'm always going to communicate to my guys.
- 15:57Speaker 1: You know, of course we're gonna put the work in,
- 15:59Speaker 1: but you know, at the end of the day, every
- 16:00Speaker 1: time you put that work in on that Sunday or Monday, whatever,
- 16:04Speaker 1: type of day it is that you play. You want
- 16:06Speaker 1: to get that win. So that's that's my guy, that's
- 16:09Speaker 1: my preachers to the guys and just and it worked.
- 16:13Speaker 1: And for those who don't know how Hard Knocks works,
- 16:15Speaker 1: usually you look back to the previous week, right, So
- 16:18Speaker 1: this week's episode coming out on Wednesday, we'll look back
- 16:21Speaker 1: to last week and leading up to your victory over
- 16:22Speaker 1: the Ranch. Last week was kind of different. You guys
- 16:25Speaker 1: were alling three in the division. Kyler had the hamstring injury,
- 16:27Speaker 1: he was nursing, he didn't end up playing. I mean,
- 16:31Speaker 1: there are columns in the paper about Cliff Kingsbury being
- 16:33Speaker 1: on the hot seed. Give us a sneak pig, what
- 16:36Speaker 1: do you think Wednesday's episode shows about everything you guys
- 16:40Speaker 1: went through last week? Oh, I mean it's just adversity.
- 16:45Speaker 1: You know, you you go through adversity, um, you know
- 16:48Speaker 1: all the time throughout the season, and of course you
- 16:50Speaker 1: know we're on that losing street and uh, you know,
- 16:54Speaker 1: everything everything in the building, all the guys are trying
- 16:57Speaker 1: to work and work harder and do all the little
- 17:00Speaker 1: things that they can do possible just to get that
- 17:03Speaker 1: w by for that next week. So of course, you
- 17:05Speaker 1: guys are gonna see, you know, a lot of passion.
- 17:08Speaker 1: You guys are gonna see a lot of uh you know,
- 17:10Speaker 1: a lot of one to need to win, a lot
- 17:13Speaker 1: of hard workers and all that type of good things.
- 17:16Speaker 1: And at the end of the day, you guys are
- 17:18Speaker 1: gonna see us trying to win, you know, us going
- 17:22Speaker 1: throughout the week to to win the game. And that's
- 17:25Speaker 1: what you guys are gonna see. And see you guys
- 17:27Speaker 1: getting ready for the forty niners here as well, and
- 17:29Speaker 1: know you love facing George. Could we barely even got
- 17:31Speaker 1: to them obviously, bootom wander to talk about you and
- 17:34Speaker 1: uh that great performances past Sunday and now a trip
- 17:37Speaker 1: to Mexico City, Buddha Baker, safe travels, Uh, hope, hope
- 17:41Speaker 1: you're feeling better and good luck on Monday Night. Yes,
- 17:44Speaker 1: thank you, tune in, of course I will tune in.
- 17:48Speaker 1: You got my work. I was watching last night as well,
- 17:51Speaker 1: last night's Monday Night game. Where are the commanders and
- 17:54Speaker 1: the power rankings? Now do they take command? Dan Hansus
- 18:00Speaker 1: is here the new numbers next. So Dan Hansus and
- 18:08Speaker 1: I are having a Harry Styles conversation off air. We'll
- 18:11Speaker 1: save that for off air. We'll talk about the Eagles
- 18:12Speaker 1: now in the Power rankings. They finally lost last night.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Hand zeus. They will not go seventeen A. Oh enough
- 18:18Speaker 1: with the seventy two Dolphins tweets, right, they weren't going
- 18:21Speaker 1: to get there. They're still a very good team, the
- 18:24Speaker 1: Commanders five and five. Anyway, let's put up the new
- 18:27Speaker 1: rankings here. They're the Power Rankings, not the Power Standings
- 18:33Speaker 1: NFL dot Com. There's also a podcast. We have the
- 18:36Speaker 1: Eagles at one, the Chiefs go up one by beating
- 18:39Speaker 1: the Jaguars. The Vikings are up four, the number three man.
- 18:44Speaker 1: We can do a whole show on this. Matter of fact,
- 18:46Speaker 1: we do do a whole show on this again. It's
- 18:47Speaker 1: called the Power Rankings podcast here with Dan and normally
- 18:53Speaker 1: Connie Fox. All right, so the Eagles are still number one.
- 18:55Speaker 1: You're cool with that. I think we're still cool with that.
- 18:57Speaker 1: It's just so two thousand twenty two that I hesitated
- 19:01Speaker 1: for weeks to put the Eagles at number one. I
- 19:04Speaker 1: had the bill Is ahead of them, and then as
- 19:06Speaker 1: soon as I go all in and put the Eagles
- 19:08Speaker 1: up at number one last week, they nose dive on
- 19:10Speaker 1: Monday night. And yet I thought that the game. I'm
- 19:13Speaker 1: not gonna say flukey because that's disrespectful to what the
- 19:16Speaker 1: commander has pulled off. I didn't see some team that
- 19:20Speaker 1: got exposed. I said, just a bad night, some flukey
- 19:22Speaker 1: things happened, some officiating decisions that I don't agree with.
- 19:25Speaker 1: I think they'll be fine and and beyond the number
- 19:28Speaker 1: one spot, I don't. I don't see a clear team
- 19:30Speaker 1: that should be holding the scepter right now. Okay, so
- 19:33Speaker 1: you had the chance to edit, you didn't. You have
- 19:35Speaker 1: the Vikings, however, up four two, number three. The Minnesota
- 19:41Speaker 1: Vikings have won seven consecutive games. They went into Buffalo
- 19:44Speaker 1: and beat the Bills, Okay, which I know is the
- 19:47Speaker 1: Jets fan you're now used to. And yet there's still
- 19:50Speaker 1: number three. Well, they've they've moved up now, they're in
- 19:53Speaker 1: the top three. They've been on a steady climb. And
- 19:56Speaker 1: I have had some trepidation about these Vikings during this wins.
- 19:59Speaker 1: You wouldn't put them ahead of the Chiefs, would I
- 20:01Speaker 1: buy in? Can I buy in? Beat the Bills in Buffalo?
- 20:04Speaker 1: And I will I in? And I say putting him
- 20:06Speaker 1: at number three constitutes by in Mr Siciliano, I really
- 20:09Speaker 1: like if they beat the Cowboys, then you're talking. You
- 20:12Speaker 1: got to see what happens with the Eagles this upcoming
- 20:14Speaker 1: week the Chiefs. But I believe this was the game
- 20:17Speaker 1: that I, like many others, needed to see as the
- 20:20Speaker 1: proof of concept that they could actually go on the
- 20:22Speaker 1: road against the legit contender and knock a team off.
- 20:25Speaker 1: So I thought that was super impressive. Was I ready
- 20:28Speaker 1: to pump them all the way up to number one? No?
- 20:30Speaker 1: But do I think they're capable of getting to number one? Yes?
- 20:33Speaker 1: And that's not where I was before Sunday. Okay, when
- 20:35Speaker 1: a team makes it into the top ten, that is
- 20:37Speaker 1: a big deal for Dan. When a team goes from
- 20:40Speaker 1: twelve to four, I mean that is a huge deal.
- 20:44Speaker 1: I am all in here on the Dolphins. But what
- 20:48Speaker 1: was so impressive about beating up a banged up Brown's
- 20:52Speaker 1: defense that made you go from twelve to four on
- 20:56Speaker 1: the Now your fan leadings are showing Mr Brown, they
- 20:59Speaker 1: they were because the degree he they were rotating in
- 21:03Speaker 1: third string d Lineman of note and half. This is
- 21:05Speaker 1: also the same Cleveland defense that shut down and embarrassed
- 21:11Speaker 1: the previous Monday Night on Halloween. And all I'm saying
- 21:14Speaker 1: is the reason. It wasn't necessarily the Browns. It's the
- 21:16Speaker 1: fact that they are stacking these performances week after week
- 21:21Speaker 1: and there it's a four game winning streak. During the
- 21:23Speaker 1: last three games, they're averaging thirty five points a game
- 21:26Speaker 1: and four and fifty total yards. And it's not just
- 21:28Speaker 1: to h and waddle in Tyreeke. The running game is humming.
- 21:32Speaker 1: They're just kind of unstoppable right now. And if anyone
- 21:36Speaker 1: in the a f C is not saying I'm a
- 21:38Speaker 1: little bit scared of the Dolvins, they're lying to you
- 21:41Speaker 1: because they are frightening right now. Yeah, I'm joking with you.
- 21:43Speaker 1: They look great, they played great. I'm still concerned about
- 21:46Speaker 1: the defense, but I don't want to play that track team.
- 21:48Speaker 1: You have a dry sense of humor, but I always
- 21:50Speaker 1: understand it. You don't have to ever apologize for your bits. Okay,
- 21:53Speaker 1: I don't know that it was a bit, and if
- 21:55Speaker 1: it was, it wasn't funny. Um, what happened to the
- 21:58Speaker 1: Bills wasn't funny either. You've only dropped them to five
- 22:02Speaker 1: despite the fact that they lose again and they kind
- 22:06Speaker 1: of sort of self destructed. They did, and it's weird.
- 22:09Speaker 1: What's going on with Josh Allen with these mistakes he's making,
- 22:12Speaker 1: and yet they came obviously very close to winning that game.
- 22:17Speaker 1: They are, to me still in the back of my mind,
- 22:20Speaker 1: the team that I can see hoisting the Lombardi at
- 22:23Speaker 1: the end of the season. Every team goes through peaks
- 22:26Speaker 1: and valleys. This is a valley for the Bills, and
- 22:29Speaker 1: I don't think they're cratering. But I think Josh Allen,
- 22:31Speaker 1: when he's watching this tape is saying himself, I gotta
- 22:34Speaker 1: clean this up. I mean the second and ten overtime
- 22:36Speaker 1: throw in the end zone that was picked off, that's
- 22:39Speaker 1: the type of stuff that wasn't happening earlier in the season.
- 22:41Speaker 1: And I think it's good coaching and a truly great quarterback.
- 22:44Speaker 1: They're gonna get that cleaned up. He'll get a little healthier,
- 22:47Speaker 1: and I think the Bills are gonna be okay. I
- 22:49Speaker 1: don't see them dipping out of the top ten at
- 22:50Speaker 1: any point, and I would not be surprised to seeing
- 22:52Speaker 1: them reclaim the throne by the end of the season.
- 22:55Speaker 1: They're just going through it a little bit. Right now.
- 22:56Speaker 1: We tease the commanders here coming into this segment here,
- 22:59Speaker 1: Washington is up six to seventeen, one spot behind Green Bay.
- 23:05Speaker 1: That that went over the Cowboys got them six spots
- 23:08Speaker 1: up to six. Team. Yeah, And I think that it's
- 23:11Speaker 1: a reminder that sometimes with the Carson Wentz team, and
- 23:15Speaker 1: I know he's not playing right now, but with Carson
- 23:18Speaker 1: Wentz team, it it you get shrouded from the actual
- 23:21Speaker 1: story around them, but the idea that they um have
- 23:24Speaker 1: a really good defense and now Chase Young is coming back.
- 23:27Speaker 1: And I really like the Packers obviously what they've done here,
- 23:30Speaker 1: um that was a must need to have a game
- 23:33Speaker 1: and a great performance down the stretch in that game.
- 23:36Speaker 1: I think it's something I could build off, and I
- 23:37Speaker 1: think they will. I don't think the Packers are going away.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Nfl dot Com Slash Power rankings for those who don't know.
- 23:42Speaker 1: I listened to them around the NFL podcast every day,
- 23:44Speaker 1: not every day, but a couple of times a week
- 23:46Speaker 1: on one point seven five speed. That's too fast I
- 23:50Speaker 1: do to get through the whole podcast on my run.
- 23:52Speaker 1: It sounds like Dan is sitting next to me slurring
- 23:54Speaker 1: his words. Right now, I'm not you don't know what
- 23:57Speaker 1: I did before this in this Slowly. NFL Now is
