- 0:35Speaker 1: style specialist Kenny burn Simmons your favorite Ethiopian suit, so yeah, yeah,
- 0:47Speaker 1: make America snow again? Rory, how you doing? Yeah? Yeahs anytime.
- 0:54Speaker 1: I gotta the motivation one off for Okay, on the
- 0:59Speaker 1: way and away. Did you bring that seventh dollar? I'll
- 1:02Speaker 1: watch you get you in the club? Did you see that? America?
- 1:06Speaker 1: Did you see that? Well? Weekend gave me his rolex
- 1:09Speaker 1: and then put on the screen how it happened. Put
- 1:12Speaker 1: it on the screen. Put it on the screen. You
- 1:14Speaker 1: can't just say he gave it to you, like, describe
- 1:16Speaker 1: how it happened. Come on that first of all, goddamn
- 1:19Speaker 1: cool And that was a whole experience. I ever gave
- 1:23Speaker 1: me no seventy dollars watching the club ever, alright, and
- 1:27Speaker 1: I'm the go. We're in the middle of the club.
- 1:29Speaker 1: He stops the music, congratulates me on my new job
- 1:32Speaker 1: at the radio station, and then just takes the streets.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Now for five, I'm in charge of the goddamn Okay, no, Payola,
- 1:42Speaker 1: got it? Uh? And then he just takes his rolex
- 1:44Speaker 1: off of his hand and just puts it on my wrist.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Did your arm go? Now? Man, I've never seen that much.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Diamonds Ever always compliment your smile, but I ain't never
- 1:53Speaker 1: seen your smile that hard. Right, Yeah, I text you, Yes,
- 1:59Speaker 1: we were just that comp on him. It was that nice.
- 2:01Speaker 1: So I left because he texts me it was like,
- 2:02Speaker 1: you don't pull up on me. He was trying to
- 2:05Speaker 1: get me to the brunch. I think he was gonna
- 2:06Speaker 1: do it to me in the brunch, but I had
- 2:08Speaker 1: to do still, you know. So that was amazing. Man, Yeah,
- 2:15Speaker 1: that was dope. But I called him actually and I said, man,
- 2:18Speaker 1: I said, the fact that you did that for that
- 2:20Speaker 1: young brother means the world to me. Just said, you know,
- 2:23Speaker 1: I had three flavors. I was like, no, I'm cool,
- 2:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna work for everything else. And he said, you
- 2:26Speaker 1: had three phasors like I got. He was like, yeah,
- 2:28Speaker 1: I owe you two more. What you want I thought about.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I was like, you know, I do like the Corvette's
- 2:36Speaker 1: watch that was didn't get it in shirt? And did
- 2:41Speaker 1: you get the link taken out? So the links that
- 2:43Speaker 1: I had two links taking out? Now you get some platinum. Yeah, congratulations.
- 2:52Speaker 1: I would have cried that. That was awesome. It was
- 2:54Speaker 1: emotional though, it definitely was. That was the thing, like, yeah,
- 2:59Speaker 1: I just like everybody. Everybody put me on the snap
- 3:01Speaker 1: and everything, and they're just walking up to me like
- 3:03Speaker 1: you see to watch the hold on my pocket. Everybody
- 3:08Speaker 1: calmed down bit every day at all, it's not an
- 3:13Speaker 1: every day watch was your last two weeks? Maybe I
- 3:15Speaker 1: ain't seen you win. I haven't seen us the super Bowl.
- 3:18Speaker 1: You did party every night super Bowl party and I worked.
- 3:21Speaker 1: You know, I had some stuff going on with Pepsi
- 3:23Speaker 1: and Cavossi A and um yeah, I had a really
- 3:26Speaker 1: good time with that. The brunch was crazynously like stupid, insane. Um.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Somebody pulled up Future pulled up right, but he come inside.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Let me tell you what happened. What happened. He was
- 3:36Speaker 1: supposed to be at the party and then no, no,
- 3:38Speaker 1: he just pulled up. So I was super excited about it.
- 3:39Speaker 1: But it looked so crazy to the bunch, to the
- 3:41Speaker 1: brunch on Saturday, but it looked so crazy outside that
- 3:44Speaker 1: you know when they when celebrities pulled up, they don't
- 3:46Speaker 1: want to see like the chaos. They wanted to look
- 3:48Speaker 1: organized and all that. I was like, damn, that would
- 3:50Speaker 1: have been a staple moment for me. But thanks for
- 3:51Speaker 1: pulling up. Anyway, you next time bring your ass and
- 3:54Speaker 1: yeah um and then yeah this file. One week was
- 3:58Speaker 1: kind of quiet time and got my health back because
- 4:01Speaker 1: it was insane. Super Bowl was NonStop in Atlanta. Super Bowls,
- 4:04Speaker 1: it was non stop. I had no idea how we
- 4:06Speaker 1: were going to come into the studio on that Monday,
- 4:08Speaker 1: or didn't do it because working like crazy, because traffic
- 4:13Speaker 1: was not as bad. It was not as bad a
- 4:15Speaker 1: lochdes Man Stadium was bad. There were just so many
- 4:18Speaker 1: different events though, between like all the brand activations and
- 4:21Speaker 1: then your radio stuff, and I mean, there was so
- 4:24Speaker 1: much going on. But I didn't enjoy. I did love
- 4:27Speaker 1: the energy that it brought to Atlanta, and I felt
- 4:28Speaker 1: like a lot of people got creative with the events
- 4:30Speaker 1: and stuff that they were putting together. Absolutely. I enjoyed
- 4:34Speaker 1: two bowl I mean, everybody paid on time, you know,
- 4:36Speaker 1: from my seven events. And we had to pop up
- 4:39Speaker 1: the Sacks Fifth Avenue though, let me tell you something, Sacks,
- 4:45Speaker 1: you know, something like you were Sacks fifth Avenue. You
- 4:47Speaker 1: know what's going And they let me keep my all
- 4:49Speaker 1: my money. I had to ring through the register none
- 4:51Speaker 1: of that, you know, and they gave me bags to give.
- 4:53Speaker 1: You know, I'm just saying, no, man, you got to
- 4:56Speaker 1: really appreciate those that. I really appreciate that. And that
- 4:58Speaker 1: was the first time will be on this. We made
- 5:00Speaker 1: our money back that day and profit, you know what.
- 5:03Speaker 1: I'm also big show to the family affair that was here.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Thank you. Profit is what it's all about. And I
- 5:10Speaker 1: had the pleasure that weekend also hosting the American Soul
- 5:14Speaker 1: Um Penalties. Y'all see it on BT. You gotta see yo, listen, man,
- 5:20Speaker 1: I'm very impressed. And I got to meet Tony Corner
- 5:23Speaker 1: is Don corne is his son, because if you don't
- 5:25Speaker 1: know American souls about soul trying facts. And so after
- 5:28Speaker 1: we did the thing Saturday, I flew out to do
- 5:30Speaker 1: the premier on Monday in l A and it was
- 5:32Speaker 1: just like a vibe, you know, and then I saw
- 5:35Speaker 1: Tony again. But it's you know, I'll be telling everybody,
- 5:37Speaker 1: I'm here for the gangster ship. I'm here for the
- 5:39Speaker 1: gangster ship because those stories back then, they didn't have
- 5:42Speaker 1: social media. So imagine, like all these stories we see,
- 5:45Speaker 1: this is the first time we're actually hearing about it.
- 5:47Speaker 1: So it's like, oh my god, your daddy was a
- 5:50Speaker 1: gangster like But I just love how they put dancing
- 5:54Speaker 1: in the forefront. If you haven't seen it, watched Soul
- 5:56Speaker 1: Train Tuesdays at nine pm UM on BT and big
- 6:01Speaker 1: shout to Memphis. Man. I love Memphis, man. Snow Snow
- 6:06Speaker 1: was down there. We made snow in Memphis my brother. Yes,
- 6:10Speaker 1: Saturday night with my brother Curtis give us. He had
- 6:11Speaker 1: a gal on Friday. I just love Memphis man. It
- 6:15Speaker 1: was beautiful man. Carrie Hilston and I let mean dress
- 6:18Speaker 1: up to the nis. I put the Outphis on the screen. Yes, sir,
- 6:21Speaker 1: was that cream you had on? Yeah? That was a
- 6:23Speaker 1: canal cream cream. I supposed to wear white. I live
- 6:29Speaker 1: about a golden rule. But now it was amazing people
- 6:31Speaker 1: dressed up to the nins. But Carrie, he was in
- 6:33Speaker 1: one of my favorite people always study oh man, she's amazing.
- 6:37Speaker 1: She performed, performed for the crime. And you know what
- 6:40Speaker 1: else about Houston, Man, I mean, I'm gonna get the
- 6:42Speaker 1: Houston to Memphis. Memphis like they come out the party,
- 6:47Speaker 1: you know, I like Marcus when they come out the
- 6:49Speaker 1: I got children, I got a job. I'm gonna leave
- 6:51Speaker 1: everybody at home. I'm gonna go to have me a
- 6:53Speaker 1: good time. I ain't even to be standing around acting crazy.
- 6:55Speaker 1: But then that's even with Carrie that she came party
- 6:57Speaker 1: with the people like it was no And that's the
- 6:59Speaker 1: thing about cities like Memphis Mine, they just they try
- 7:02Speaker 1: to have the best time possible at all times. So
- 7:04Speaker 1: big Shot the Curse giving Happy Birthday and ladies and gentlemen,
- 7:07Speaker 1: I'm bringing Turkey leg hr to Atlanta. Baby, I'm bringing
- 7:10Speaker 1: Turley Oh. I got big Shot in the kid and
- 7:15Speaker 1: leading the creators of Turkey Leg Hud my brother Steve
- 7:18Speaker 1: Rogers who brought me into the phone. I went to Houston.
- 7:21Speaker 1: I tasted it. Uh unbelievable videos. You go to Turkey
- 7:26Speaker 1: Leg Hut or Turkey Leg her a TL. But I'm
- 7:29Speaker 1: telling you when I tell you Atlanta, I's gonna be
- 7:32Speaker 1: a thing, man. You know that's phenomenon. Remember Roscolle Chicken
- 7:35Speaker 1: the waffle back in the day, I told roscoll Chicken
- 7:38Speaker 1: while first hit and they only stayed in in l A.
- 7:41Speaker 1: But Turkey leg going a cross because when the fair comes,
- 7:45Speaker 1: I go, sir, I have whoever goes with me to
- 7:48Speaker 1: find the turkey leg and get but they don't have
- 7:50Speaker 1: the mac and cheese. Was afraid though, yeah, I thought
- 7:57Speaker 1: it was already here. I was already playing making point.
- 7:59Speaker 1: I'm going to get it. Now you work, it's not
- 8:04Speaker 1: open the third ninety days, ninety days. We appreciate you.
- 8:07Speaker 1: And now it's time for in case you missed, ladies
- 8:14Speaker 1: and gentlemen, the Grammys have happened. Six the first Grammy
- 8:18Speaker 1: Awards have happened, gone and passed. And there's a couple
- 8:20Speaker 1: of things and one talk about before we get to
- 8:23Speaker 1: the legend Cardi B. But we're gonna start with YEA
- 8:28Speaker 1: love her in real life Rock Nation Brunch. Jim, did
- 8:31Speaker 1: you happen to see all the black excellence from the
- 8:34Speaker 1: Rock Nation Lunch? You said, did you say I want
- 8:39Speaker 1: to jump out there and say this. I did a post.
- 8:41Speaker 1: You know, I was over a billion in there. Oh easy.
- 8:45Speaker 1: I'm just saying alone and then puff and then But
- 8:49Speaker 1: I want to say this, man, I think that the
- 8:52Speaker 1: camaraderie I felt as a teenager in culture is back,
- 8:57Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. Like when I was growing
- 8:58Speaker 1: up and you had Public Enemy how all these things
- 9:00Speaker 1: and it was pro black everything. This, I mean, this
- 9:03Speaker 1: is the era of the street culture, streetwear culture like
- 9:06Speaker 1: starting you know what I'm saying, you have to need me,
- 9:08Speaker 1: Like all these black designers were making this, you know
- 9:10Speaker 1: what I mean, and we were supporting n Yeah, Ryan
- 9:13Speaker 1: Kenny later on, but thank you. But I just see
- 9:15Speaker 1: I saw, I felt, I felt excellence, I felt support,
- 9:18Speaker 1: I felt coaraderie. And I will say there are a
- 9:20Speaker 1: lot of people that say things they don't act on it,
- 9:22Speaker 1: you know. I mean there's a lot. I mean, there's
- 9:23Speaker 1: a lot of day in them in this business that
- 9:26Speaker 1: they do things it's all self servant. But I feel
- 9:29Speaker 1: like the majority now means like they want to have
- 9:32Speaker 1: a union, that they want to do it together. And
- 9:35Speaker 1: even Rory, I saw you and a bunch of other
- 9:37Speaker 1: people kind of I'm shopping, We're gonna buy black today,
- 9:40Speaker 1: We're gonna we're gonna send your website at your business.
- 9:43Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. And I just think you
- 9:45Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. And I feel like the Rock
- 9:46Speaker 1: Nation Brunch kind of exuded what things need to look
- 9:50Speaker 1: like going forward, and it needs to happen in other markets,
- 9:54Speaker 1: Like we need to celebrate each other like there all
- 9:55Speaker 1: the time, all the people in the cities. We need
- 9:57Speaker 1: to have monthly, weekly something, but we just get together
- 10:00Speaker 1: have conversations about business and what what we're gonna do,
- 10:03Speaker 1: what how we can But I just want to say
- 10:05Speaker 1: that about the Rock Nation Brunch because you know I've
- 10:08Speaker 1: been several times. Obviously I was hosting this weekend, but
- 10:11Speaker 1: I think that's what we need to get back to,
- 10:13Speaker 1: those moments where we can have these conversations up, lift
- 10:16Speaker 1: each other, inspire each other, and put things in perspective
- 10:19Speaker 1: going forward in business, celebrate each other without you know,
- 10:22Speaker 1: really having to go to a club and shake that ass.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Let's find different ways of actually connecting and talking about
- 10:28Speaker 1: what we're doing. Brunches always and come on, like it's
- 10:33Speaker 1: an easy way to just communicate to people, like just
- 10:36Speaker 1: just come through and come just let's talk about even
- 10:39Speaker 1: outside of that, like Mary, what do you call Hope Marley? Yeah,
- 10:43Speaker 1: I thought I thought that was really dope. I like it, though,
- 10:45Speaker 1: I mean like that you had a billion dollars. You
- 10:46Speaker 1: don't talking about just try some ship, you know I'm
- 10:48Speaker 1: talking about. I don't think you trying. You know, I
- 10:51Speaker 1: don't think you don't cut it. He probably cut it
- 10:52Speaker 1: for sumtimes. If you have, it's not going anywhere. I mean,
- 10:56Speaker 1: whatever he tries to do, fine, grand is y'all. Drake
- 11:00Speaker 1: speech did as soon as he's getting deep into it.
- 11:07Speaker 1: But he used the platform and kind of like, you know,
- 11:12Speaker 1: did you remember the message? If you didn't hear the message.
- 11:16Speaker 1: I want to take this opportunity while I'm up here
- 11:18Speaker 1: to just talk to all the kids that are watching
- 11:20Speaker 1: this that are aspiring to do music, all my peers
- 11:23Speaker 1: that make music from their heart, that do things pure
- 11:25Speaker 1: and tell the truth. I want to let you know
- 11:27Speaker 1: we play in an opinion based sport, not a factual
- 11:30Speaker 1: based sports. So it's not the NBA. We're at the
- 11:32Speaker 1: end of the year, you're holding a trophy because you
- 11:33Speaker 1: made the right decisions or one of the games. This
- 11:36Speaker 1: is ah, this is a business where sometimes you know it, um,
- 11:39Speaker 1: it's up to a bunch of people that might not
- 11:41Speaker 1: understand you know what a mixed race kid from Canada
- 11:43Speaker 1: has to say, or or or or or a fly
- 11:47Speaker 1: or a fly Spanish girl from New York or anybody else,
- 11:50Speaker 1: or a brother from Houston right there, my brothers, Travis.
- 11:53Speaker 1: But look, the point is you've already won if you
- 11:57Speaker 1: have people who are singing your song owns, word for word,
- 12:00Speaker 1: if you're a hero in your hometown, if look, look,
- 12:04Speaker 1: if there's people who have regular jobs who are coming
- 12:07Speaker 1: out in the rain, in the snow, spending their harder
- 12:10Speaker 1: money to buy tickets come to your shows. You don't
- 12:12Speaker 1: need this right here, I promise you, like you already want.
- 12:14Speaker 1: If you listen to what he's saying, you're like, you
- 12:16Speaker 1: don't have to get these awards to be validated and
- 12:18Speaker 1: itch of people that are dope that don't have Grammy. Yes,
- 12:22Speaker 1: let me say this, I think the Grammys. I knew
- 12:27Speaker 1: he could to say that. Put up is that facts?
- 12:31Speaker 1: You looked it up and wow, I was surprised to
- 12:36Speaker 1: hear that she's very dope. And I'm surprised that she
- 12:41Speaker 1: hadn't one one either. I think she should have gotten one,
- 12:44Speaker 1: considering all the amazing things that she did in her career.
- 12:46Speaker 1: But I think that the Grammys this year focused on
- 12:50Speaker 1: my giving us hope. I think the Grammys know that,
- 12:53Speaker 1: you know, obviously they know about the backlash they get
- 12:55Speaker 1: for the lack of diversity. So I think this year
- 12:58Speaker 1: they really are trying to give us like hope. They
- 13:00Speaker 1: wanted to watch it again and be like, you know what,
- 13:02Speaker 1: fuck it. Cardi was able to get a Grammy off
- 13:05Speaker 1: her first album like let's keep on, Let's keep going.
- 13:08Speaker 1: But I loved Drake's message because we don't need those men. Yeah,
- 13:12Speaker 1: and also to your point, I think that um, they
- 13:15Speaker 1: need us more than ever. Like if you looked at
- 13:16Speaker 1: it, it it felt super pasty, and I'm not just saying pasty, right,
- 13:19Speaker 1: I just felt cookie cutter. They were like it was
- 13:22Speaker 1: messing up, like I'm not a big shot to Alicia Keys.
- 13:25Speaker 1: I mean she did she could do, you know what
- 13:26Speaker 1: I'm saying, But like, but they were like having things
- 13:28Speaker 1: and you see the camera man coming from behind the state.
- 13:31Speaker 1: They came out of commercial. They came back from commercial
- 13:33Speaker 1: too early. She was over here like yeah, yeah exactly,
- 13:36Speaker 1: and say action over here like this is yeah. I
- 13:39Speaker 1: just felt it was like cutting paste pasty, like it
- 13:41Speaker 1: wasn't even like the because they're not. They were so
- 13:44Speaker 1: out of their element by honoring so many people of color,
- 13:48Speaker 1: they just they just sucked up. So you think it
- 13:50Speaker 1: was a lot of people. I think it was more
- 13:53Speaker 1: than more than usual. I think it was more than
- 13:54Speaker 1: I think they definitely gave minorities a little bit more
- 13:59Speaker 1: attention than we're familiar with. I like to set the
- 14:01Speaker 1: table like this. You know that the president's leaving. He
- 14:04Speaker 1: basically said he was leaving after I think it was
- 14:05Speaker 1: seventeen years. I just found out that Andre Horrell is
- 14:10Speaker 1: in the conversation to be the new Grammy president. And
- 14:15Speaker 1: if Andre Harrel was the Grammy President, do you know
- 14:19Speaker 1: how much champagne and bubbles and black excellence and culture
- 14:23Speaker 1: will be going on? But I just think it goes
- 14:27Speaker 1: against everything that we've been saying this whole time, like
- 14:29Speaker 1: we don't need the Grammy, let's create. But it's not
- 14:31Speaker 1: about it's not about needing them to create a distraction
- 14:33Speaker 1: for us to just be like, no, we got a
- 14:34Speaker 1: black man over there now like less. But but I
- 14:36Speaker 1: think I think the point of awards right, and this
- 14:40Speaker 1: is the one of the oldest, most tenured awards to
- 14:43Speaker 1: be given to a musical artist, right, people in music
- 14:47Speaker 1: or entertainment. And I think that like the point we're
- 14:49Speaker 1: trying to make it, you know, with Gucci, with product
- 14:52Speaker 1: and everything else, put black designers in there, put people
- 14:54Speaker 1: of color in there so that they can't have an
- 14:56Speaker 1: opinion and not let you know what I'm saying. That
- 14:59Speaker 1: the funner we continue, you know what I'm saying. So
- 15:00Speaker 1: I think we're gonna get to that a little later
- 15:03Speaker 1: because everything ain't Gucci. But let's talk about Cardi B.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Let's talk about Cardi B. Her show was starting to
- 15:11Speaker 1: start a rick carbet start a rick carbon. She's always
- 15:15Speaker 1: it was any you found out right dress? Okay, yeah,
- 15:18Speaker 1: she's the pearl and the pearls sometimes referred to as
- 15:24Speaker 1: the clip. Okay, okay, there it is. You like that, right?
- 15:28Speaker 1: That was for you? Um. But I think that them
- 15:31Speaker 1: on the thing, touching tongues, setting the tone for the evening.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Did everyone see the kiss? It was a a little
- 15:39Speaker 1: lick okay, a little lick action Okay. I love that.
- 15:42Speaker 1: I love how it started on the thing because throughout
- 15:45Speaker 1: the evening you will see the scenario or family and
- 15:47Speaker 1: my husband's here with me. Okay, so together. People want
- 15:51Speaker 1: to see them there they're sticking it out. Yes, I mean,
- 15:56Speaker 1: there are so many people that want to see them apart,
- 15:58Speaker 1: and there are so many people that want to see
- 15:59Speaker 1: them together. And I think at the end of the day,
- 16:00Speaker 1: they made a decision that works for their family, and
- 16:03Speaker 1: I love seeing them in love like that. Like the
- 16:05Speaker 1: first absolutely, okay, so we kissed exactly. Performance. That performance
- 16:14Speaker 1: was perfect. She killed it. I killed to see if
- 16:16Speaker 1: she was lip singing, but then it went off and
- 16:19Speaker 1: she said she said, I was like, okay, yeah, yeah,
- 16:21Speaker 1: that Mike is that Mike is superb. Whoever that whatever
- 16:24Speaker 1: Mike version of that is, I need that Mike. She
- 16:26Speaker 1: killed it and I'm so happy that. I'm so happy,
- 16:31Speaker 1: so happy that she nailed the performance and then tripped
- 16:36Speaker 1: and didn't fight, you know, because that was her moment,
- 16:39Speaker 1: was her coming outstairs like that was one of the
- 16:41Speaker 1: best performances in the night. And it was super song
- 16:44Speaker 1: and she had to run Wakonda, you know, yes, and
- 16:48Speaker 1: then she had to striper culture all in the peptic
- 16:51Speaker 1: She had a stripper culture all in and the Pepsi
- 16:54Speaker 1: commercial was hard to bag. But don't you just love
- 17:05Speaker 1: the change that's happening right now. I love the changes.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I just wonder if they're changing just because we're affecting
- 17:12Speaker 1: them financially, you know what I'm saying, Like I don't
- 17:13Speaker 1: care about like oh right, and and that's a problem
- 17:17Speaker 1: for me. It's like, don't don't just change it because
- 17:19Speaker 1: you need our money. That that takes us, that's a
- 17:22Speaker 1: distraction from us doing everything we said we wanted to
- 17:24Speaker 1: do when they weren't acknowledging us. We all said we
- 17:27Speaker 1: wanted our own awards, so and it's unfortunate we have
- 17:29Speaker 1: to have it. But why are we giving into it
- 17:32Speaker 1: now just because they're giving us a little more attention?
- 17:34Speaker 1: We know what their intentions are. Well, I think too,
- 17:37Speaker 1: And this is Cardiv's credit. She's a superstar, amazing, and
- 17:41Speaker 1: I think that any big corporation are going to go
- 17:44Speaker 1: after the people that move the needle. I mean, in
- 17:46Speaker 1: in the history of our culture, we've always had superstars
- 17:50Speaker 1: and people never worthy of those types. And to be
- 17:53Speaker 1: honest with you, we will continue to have to play
- 17:55Speaker 1: the game as long as it exists. Now, before the
- 17:59Speaker 1: five build, we can build but ten years later, but
- 18:03Speaker 1: we still have to contribue. We have to participate. You
- 18:06Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. We can't just exclude ourselves from
- 18:08Speaker 1: popular society because we create popular society. So un two
- 18:12Speaker 1: weeks do have the other pieces. We need to stay focused.
- 18:15Speaker 1: But then too, I want to say this about her speech.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, chaw. Sorry, I'm sorry, I just I
- 18:40Speaker 1: just oh, the nerves are so bad. Maybe I need
- 18:46Speaker 1: to start smoky weed. Yeah. I just want to say
- 18:53Speaker 1: thank you everybody that was involved. I want to think
- 19:00Speaker 1: Julie Kaiser, Craig Johnny, Marcia, Ashley, Patients, Qcy. I want
- 19:14Speaker 1: to think p I want to thank Coach. I want
- 19:19Speaker 1: to thank my daughter because I don't want I'm not
- 19:22Speaker 1: just saying thank you because she's my daughter. It's because,
- 19:25Speaker 1: you know, when I found out I was pregnant, my
- 19:29Speaker 1: album was not complete. I had like three songs that
- 19:32Speaker 1: I was for sure having and then you know, you
- 19:36Speaker 1: know how it was like we was like we have
- 19:41Speaker 1: to get this album done so I could shoot these
- 19:44Speaker 1: videos while I'm still not showing, and it was very
- 19:49Speaker 1: long night. I want to thank all the artists that
- 19:54Speaker 1: wasn't my um. I'm sorry, I don't got I want
- 20:03Speaker 1: to thank all the artists that took day time and
- 20:07Speaker 1: did versus for my album Jay Val Been Bad Bunny
- 20:12Speaker 1: Chance to Wrapper Scissor Kaylani the me goals You husband,
- 20:18Speaker 1: thank you not seriously, because he was like, Oh, you're
- 20:22Speaker 1: gonna do this album. Girl, We're gonna have this baby
- 20:27Speaker 1: and we're gonna make this album. And thank you so
- 20:31Speaker 1: much everybody. She was so nervous, like the genuine nerves
- 20:38Speaker 1: when you were at home. I thought the Cara's, I
- 20:40Speaker 1: thought the Gramms will come back on. She's gonna be
- 20:41Speaker 1: like this exactly. No, I wasn't. I was. I was like,
- 20:44Speaker 1: I was so tired after all this traveling, and I
- 20:46Speaker 1: was just I was. I was clinching the covers like
- 20:48Speaker 1: I wish, I wish, I want to music us. My
- 20:54Speaker 1: shoulders were all tense, like I was like, oh my gosh,
- 20:56Speaker 1: she's so nervous. But that's good to see that. He
- 21:00Speaker 1: mean that humans. That's why I connect. Oh yeah, thank
- 21:07Speaker 1: thank you. No, say it's changing it used to be exactly.
- 21:14Speaker 1: She started off saying, I think I mean to start
- 21:16Speaker 1: smoking some weeds. I said she had to calm her nerves.
- 21:19Speaker 1: I was like, yeah, that's that's some sham, saying if
- 21:22Speaker 1: I was nervous. She definitely makes you feel like it's
- 21:24Speaker 1: totally okay to be yourself and and and thank God
- 21:27Speaker 1: for Cardi b. I just say, right now, in the
- 21:29Speaker 1: in the world that we're in, and it's a Spanish woman,
- 21:32Speaker 1: not a black woman. And speaking of Spanish woman, that
- 21:35Speaker 1: let's talk about let's talk about Jennifer Lopez's tribute to Motown. Now.
- 21:41Speaker 1: It was a lot of bullshit out there about she
- 21:44Speaker 1: ain't how she she not like online if you looked,
- 21:48Speaker 1: if you follow anything. So they were hating on her.
- 21:51Speaker 1: She murdered that ship good, she murdered her performance. Who
- 21:56Speaker 1: who better as a showman. I'm just saying right now,
- 21:58Speaker 1: I mean, clearly Beyonce and there others that are black exactly,
- 22:02Speaker 1: So what was the thing? Come on, I know you
- 22:03Speaker 1: gotta answer, say, but what unless you did a really
- 22:09Speaker 1: good job. I mean, I just think I would have
- 22:12Speaker 1: pick somebody else. I do. They should have picked someone
- 22:15Speaker 1: else because it's Motown, it's it's it's something that contributed
- 22:20Speaker 1: to not only just the world of music, but it
- 22:23Speaker 1: comes from our culture. And for talking about wanting to
- 22:26Speaker 1: be included, why not include someone who was truly affected
- 22:31Speaker 1: by whether it was in the home or whether it
- 22:33Speaker 1: was in the style of their music, like that's what
- 22:39Speaker 1: Jessica said, no, and I respect that, but I'm just saying,
- 22:42Speaker 1: as far as representation, I think it would have been
- 22:44Speaker 1: nice for us to see someone who may have about
- 22:48Speaker 1: if we accepted card listen it's okay, this is my thing.
- 22:53Speaker 1: So we could have got James, we could have got
- 22:55Speaker 1: so many other people. I need to participate, But I
- 22:57Speaker 1: think they wanted that kind of show versus James not
- 23:01Speaker 1: doing that. Who's close to let's make it. I'm just
- 23:04Speaker 1: saying that ton Art doesn't even dance like that. They
- 23:07Speaker 1: were just sitting in front of my baby, babe. I
- 23:13Speaker 1: don't know. I don't know a lot of Yeah, I
- 23:17Speaker 1: don't know if a lot of them were at home,
- 23:19Speaker 1: you know, cleaning up listening to that as much as
- 23:20Speaker 1: they were other things, you know. But but when the
- 23:23Speaker 1: purpose of the Motown sound to be the sound of America,
- 23:26Speaker 1: I mean, they wanted to be the sound for everybody.
- 23:28Speaker 1: And I the Aretha Franklin tweet, what happened, Well, that's
- 23:32Speaker 1: a part of common creepment, and and and that, and
- 23:34Speaker 1: that particular tweet was actually chopped in half. That there
- 23:36Speaker 1: was a whole another part of it get into that
- 23:38Speaker 1: in But I don't know. I just think that she
- 23:40Speaker 1: did a hell of a performance. She often has, she
- 23:45Speaker 1: often does. I said, I think she did do a
- 23:48Speaker 1: good job, but I'd rather see somebody else do. It's
- 23:51Speaker 1: somebody black. Yeah, okay, that's respectable. I mean at the
- 23:54Speaker 1: end of the day, I mean, there are capable people
- 23:56Speaker 1: that could have been in that lineup, that could have
- 23:58Speaker 1: participated with it. And I want to talk about them
- 24:00Speaker 1: little girls. What's the little Chloe and what's the other girl?
- 24:03Speaker 1: How did they get a stand in ovation? Them little
- 24:06Speaker 1: girls murdered that song like people love them like in credit,
- 24:12Speaker 1: but they get so much love and acknowledgment. Like I
- 24:15Speaker 1: know people were saying, like, oh, they are the future.
- 24:17Speaker 1: We cannot like they're gonna take over. They listen, Chloe
- 24:19Speaker 1: and Hallie. Chloe and Hallie, you special human beings. You
- 24:24Speaker 1: you gotta stand in ovation in my living room. I
- 24:26Speaker 1: just couldn't believe that people didn't stand up and just
- 24:28Speaker 1: really go ham they don't know them enough yet. That
- 24:33Speaker 1: might have been Honestly, that might have been the best
- 24:35Speaker 1: performance of last night, And it was Acapulco. It was
- 24:41Speaker 1: like a talent. What do you think is missing from
- 24:44Speaker 1: some of today's music talent? You know, but those girls
- 24:51Speaker 1: going show talent, show talent. Her big, big shout to her,
- 24:56Speaker 1: thank you. I have not listened to her her. Your
- 25:00Speaker 1: super pals are so evident. She's so cool and playing
- 25:05Speaker 1: the guitar. It was giving me so much prints just
- 25:08Speaker 1: I mean so big shots and big shout to everybody.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Mean Travis Scott performed speaking to Travis Scott, y'all get
- 25:14Speaker 1: off this grammy thing. Did y'all see the Stormy birthday? Y'all?
- 25:17Speaker 1: Did y'all see the big Did you see this? You
- 25:19Speaker 1: miss it? They had a big face like his big
- 25:22Speaker 1: face on this album cover. They had the big face
- 25:25Speaker 1: in the Stormies world. But that's the first birthday, yeah,
- 25:32Speaker 1: you know, was that her daddy got. This birthday is
- 25:36Speaker 1: either going to be like extra crazy or simple like
- 25:38Speaker 1: maybe in the onesie let him, you know, eat their
- 25:40Speaker 1: own cakes. It's there's never in between. For some reason,
- 25:42Speaker 1: for the first birthday, it's even super huge. Was raised
- 25:47Speaker 1: by Chris. She loves definitely is Kylie and Travis. Are
- 25:55Speaker 1: they starting to grow on y'all? Are you feeling a
- 25:57Speaker 1: little more? I never thought a think about it really, Okay, alright,
- 26:02Speaker 1: it just makes sense. It's just I mean, if you're
- 26:03Speaker 1: thinking about you know, what makes sense? Makes sense that
- 26:06Speaker 1: Kylie would be with somebody like Travis, And it makes
- 26:08Speaker 1: sense that Travis would be with somebody like Well, break
- 26:10Speaker 1: that down a little more. So. He's saying Travis like
- 26:12Speaker 1: white girls. Obviously he likes my girls, or he just
- 26:16Speaker 1: likes Kylie. Who knows. But Kylie is not She's not
- 26:18Speaker 1: just a regular white girl. She had a little spice,
- 26:20Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. And she comes from a family.
- 26:22Speaker 1: She comes from a family that you know, it's totally
- 26:26Speaker 1: open to dating people outside of the right girls. Yeah,
- 26:30Speaker 1: what they were holding hands, It looked like a couple.
- 26:31Speaker 1: I just I've never really seen them. I don't really
- 26:34Speaker 1: pay attention to Like, I've never seen them together in
- 26:36Speaker 1: that kind of they were holding hands at the Grammys
- 26:38Speaker 1: and all that ladies and gentlemen. Is Wendy Williams coming back.
- 26:43Speaker 1: It's Wendy coming back. I'm just trying to do a
- 26:44Speaker 1: good job today too. Oh you sorry to that. Nick
- 26:47Speaker 1: Cannon didn't seem like a host to me, and that's
- 26:50Speaker 1: my partner. But like he ain't seem like a whole morning.
- 26:53Speaker 1: He's seemed like he was the talent because I saw
- 26:54Speaker 1: the one with him and Keenan from Saturnite Lie. He
- 26:57Speaker 1: was over talking Keen and so much. I was like, doll,
- 27:00Speaker 1: got to let him, you know, and then he is
- 27:01Speaker 1: lying and Keen was like, well why are we yelling?
- 27:03Speaker 1: Were yelling at so? I don't know, he just you know,
- 27:07Speaker 1: find through that. Yeah, you like him? No, I do,
- 27:12Speaker 1: because I'm looking. I'm gonna miss I'm gonna miss her
- 27:15Speaker 1: once he finds his pocket to kind of figure it
- 27:17Speaker 1: out if that was his show. And I want to
- 27:20Speaker 1: send this out to all personalities. There's a big gap
- 27:25Speaker 1: in between with Steve Harvey, Ricky Smiley even in his fifties,
- 27:29Speaker 1: you know what I'm talking about. Time joining about to retire.
- 27:31Speaker 1: There's a big opening in the world of radio for
- 27:35Speaker 1: real superstar talents and personalities. Um, so, y'all stay focused
- 27:40Speaker 1: on that. And then everything ain't Gucci, y'all, Everything ain't Gucci.
- 27:45Speaker 1: There's been there's been a obviously this this black face thing.
- 27:49Speaker 1: I want to get your opinion on it because you've
- 27:52Speaker 1: seen Dapper Dapper Dan has come out saying and this
- 27:56Speaker 1: is someone who's in business with with with Gucci on
- 27:58Speaker 1: a high level and basically said we got to hold
- 28:00Speaker 1: him account what we're meeting with him. They're coming to
- 28:02Speaker 1: New York, so forth and song, which is the best
- 28:04Speaker 1: possible scenario because I think as a representation of the
- 28:07Speaker 1: culture that but Dan instead of Spike Lee, um, anybody
- 28:11Speaker 1: else would be the one to tell us it's okay. Now.
- 28:14Speaker 1: I want to talk about this a little bit because
- 28:17Speaker 1: I feel like if that shirt was shown in green, yellow, white,
- 28:26Speaker 1: would we even have had the conversation And it wouldn't
- 28:30Speaker 1: have been black with the red which the shirt actually
- 28:31Speaker 1: came out six months ago, because I get the email.
- 28:35Speaker 1: The difference is no other race has had to deal
- 28:38Speaker 1: with being made fun of in that manner for centuries.
- 28:42Speaker 1: That's that's the problem. Had have been any other color,
- 28:45Speaker 1: You're right, it would have been an issue with but
- 28:47Speaker 1: y'all hadn't been teased with that ship y'all, that that
- 28:50Speaker 1: was not used as a negative connotation to talk about
- 28:52Speaker 1: how black your skin is, that how bigger in a
- 28:54Speaker 1: negative way, you know, how big your lips are? Like,
- 28:57Speaker 1: so yeah, it is offensive and it would not have
- 28:59Speaker 1: been a conversation, have been any other color and this
- 29:02Speaker 1: Gucci and Versa and all of us. It's no secret,
- 29:06Speaker 1: it's not this is not new right. They've don't make clothes.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Just like I said, it's not made for our body.
- 29:14Speaker 1: It's not for us. That's why we created Ryan. You
- 29:18Speaker 1: gotta get a size ten saying it made for minutes. Now,
- 29:27Speaker 1: That's why we created Ryan Kenney back in the day
- 29:29Speaker 1: because we just felt like the cuts weren't for us.
- 29:31Speaker 1: We got, we have, but some of us have got
- 29:33Speaker 1: and I just felt like they But you know, I
- 29:35Speaker 1: do want to say this, and I do want you
- 29:36Speaker 1: this is a major issue, but I don't want everything
- 29:39Speaker 1: to be so we gotta fight everybody. Now, this is
- 29:43Speaker 1: not the case. You know what I'm talking about. Alexandro
- 29:47Speaker 1: what's his name, Alexandro, what's the designer? I'm sorry if
- 29:49Speaker 1: I'm messing your name up. But he's a flamboyant character
- 29:53Speaker 1: and it's showing in his clothes. Not saying that there's
- 29:57Speaker 1: any excuse for this turtleneck. I I'm saying that we
- 30:01Speaker 1: have huge fights to really fight and put our energy into.
- 30:08Speaker 1: Into Octavia's point, they've been doing this ship, they've been
- 30:12Speaker 1: doing it, and black folk don't run the black folk
- 30:15Speaker 1: pages and support they you know, they're clothing or they're
- 30:18Speaker 1: just then the third they're much right. And this has
- 30:20Speaker 1: been this, This has been the conversation. We've been having
- 30:24Speaker 1: this conversation for decades when it comes to high end
- 30:27Speaker 1: fashion and designs and people disrespecting the culture. But this
- 30:31Speaker 1: is a wake up for for all of us. If
- 30:35Speaker 1: you really want to double down on your community and
- 30:37Speaker 1: do what the Asians are doing, what the Jews are doing,
- 30:40Speaker 1: what white people do, you really gotta gone do it
- 30:44Speaker 1: because all its talking the next week you'll be right
- 30:45Speaker 1: back and go to you. I mean, even tip, you
- 30:47Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. God bless your soul for getting
- 30:49Speaker 1: out there earlier, he said three months, you know, forever.
- 30:52Speaker 1: If that's if that's what it is, I'm going to
- 30:55Speaker 1: do it right again. And again I'm not I'm not
- 30:58Speaker 1: even like I said that. I am a little bit
- 31:01Speaker 1: more thoughtful culturally, because like you know, Sue was saying
- 31:03Speaker 1: with the Grammy's like why the gram I'm just saying,
- 31:05Speaker 1: like Luke, we can't just stop existing in in in
- 31:07Speaker 1: popular society and our culture because we've created a lot
- 31:10Speaker 1: of the things that are happening now. We gotta double back,
- 31:13Speaker 1: double down on us and not be be unapologetic about it.
- 31:17Speaker 1: I think that whole like three months. Then it just
- 31:19Speaker 1: kind of shows to us how bad African Americans or
- 31:22Speaker 1: minorities want to be a part of this elite group
- 31:25Speaker 1: of white people. You know, Like it's it's always been
- 31:28Speaker 1: our our thing to try to get in and be
- 31:31Speaker 1: proven equal to the white people. I mean, if if,
- 31:35Speaker 1: if they don't want us, man, But it starts with
- 31:37Speaker 1: our leaders too. I know a lot of us, our
- 31:39Speaker 1: leaders that we look up to in the door, they
- 31:41Speaker 1: voted for Trump, and then all of a sudden you're
- 31:43Speaker 1: not with it no more, and then you want to
- 31:45Speaker 1: okay because and then no, it's we have to hold
- 31:48Speaker 1: everybody accountable. We have to put everything out there. If
- 31:52Speaker 1: we're gonna get right, you gotta cleanse. If you're gonna cleanse,
- 31:55Speaker 1: you gotta get the ship off you. You gotta get
- 31:56Speaker 1: rid of to hate. You gotta get rid of the
- 31:59Speaker 1: the the paranoia of something being bigger than you, are
- 32:02Speaker 1: better than you. Like if it's really about culture, let's
- 32:05Speaker 1: make it about culture. But I do have to say,
- 32:06Speaker 1: put the sweater on the screen right there. As a
- 32:08Speaker 1: frequent buyer, Gucci right. You can see the sweater right there.
- 32:11Speaker 1: I did like what Seu said, Why not make the
- 32:13Speaker 1: black green? If we're the black part of the sweaters
- 32:16Speaker 1: green are We're still having this conversation. If you buy
- 32:18Speaker 1: a Guta all the time, you notice that they have
- 32:19Speaker 1: a lot of color schemes. They always do a black
- 32:21Speaker 1: and red. They always do a black and red, always
- 32:24Speaker 1: do your normal tan. But I got you, they always
- 32:29Speaker 1: do a green and red. My thing is, I'm pretty
- 32:32Speaker 1: sure the designer wasn't thinking in his right frame of mind, like, oh,
- 32:35Speaker 1: this is going to offend this particular race of people.
- 32:39Speaker 1: But when you released it, we gotta check. Like it's
- 32:44Speaker 1: been out for six months too, Oh my god, said
- 32:47Speaker 1: I said, car because my friend. But now for six months.
- 32:49Speaker 1: This didn't This didn't just come out last month, has
- 32:52Speaker 1: been out for six months. I agree. I agree that
- 32:55Speaker 1: they made a ski mask design on your whole head
- 33:00Speaker 1: and had the motherfucking sambo lips. I'm pretty sure he's
- 33:04Speaker 1: doing like a color palette, like you know, designer, that's
- 33:06Speaker 1: what designers. Baby, You broke out with the most controversial one.
- 33:10Speaker 1: I'm just saying he knew, Okay, if he didn't know
- 33:14Speaker 1: the person that hold hold on, I don't think he
- 33:17Speaker 1: was thinking about that. I don't think he was thinking
- 33:20Speaker 1: about particular. Everybody does not know he is black face.
- 33:25Speaker 1: They ask you is black face. You can't say that.
- 33:28Speaker 1: White people know black faces. They know black face is
- 33:31Speaker 1: not cool. That's what I remember. Some of these people
- 33:34Speaker 1: better in that room are born like in the in
- 33:36Speaker 1: the nineties. Now, that's this is a great point. This
- 33:40Speaker 1: is a great point. Hold on, this is a great point.
- 33:42Speaker 1: Mont Claire released this job that's up. That's sambo. If
- 33:46Speaker 1: you can't see sambo, you don't see sambo in that
- 33:49Speaker 1: put them articular. That's all I'm saying. Now, if you
- 33:52Speaker 1: get Montclaire, or if you know what mont Claire is,
- 33:55Speaker 1: they have a penguin that's like, it's a penguin. It's
- 33:57Speaker 1: the face of the penguin. My nigga, what where's the beat?
- 34:01Speaker 1: Pains that beat the penguin and smiling. So if you're
- 34:04Speaker 1: looking at it, it's smiling, you're saying the head of
- 34:09Speaker 1: the penguin. It's a penguin. So no, no, no, But
- 34:14Speaker 1: you can't get by that. And that's what I'm saying about.
- 34:17Speaker 1: You want to put a face mask out, you had
- 34:19Speaker 1: the white circles around the eyes and the lips, and
- 34:21Speaker 1: it would be like nigga, I mean off rip. But
- 34:24Speaker 1: to my point, in your point, I guarantee, I think
- 34:26Speaker 1: there's nobody in man that's going to wear that Gucci
- 34:27Speaker 1: sweater as black face is going to keep him from
- 34:30Speaker 1: having to paint his whole face. You can't buy it, right, Okay, Okay,
- 34:35Speaker 1: there's gonna go on circles. But this I do want
- 34:37Speaker 1: to say this. I have noticed we're all agreeing with
- 34:42Speaker 1: You're being thoughtful, and you're trying to say, like, basically,
- 34:45Speaker 1: all people aren't as smart as you give them credit
- 34:48Speaker 1: for that. But I will say this, I've noticed my
- 34:50Speaker 1: white friends suppose it right, Um, a lot of them
- 34:55Speaker 1: have been distant over the last two years. No bullshit,
- 34:59Speaker 1: you didn't mention that, since I promise you, and and
- 35:03Speaker 1: what it and what it tells me is that obviously
- 35:05Speaker 1: they might have more white friends than black. So then
- 35:09Speaker 1: they're gonna just kind of go back to what they know.
- 35:11Speaker 1: And that's what I'm telling Sue. If we're gonna go,
- 35:14Speaker 1: but let's go. You know what I'm saying, I'm not
- 35:16Speaker 1: changing who I am. I love everybody like and that's
- 35:20Speaker 1: that's in my confusions. Says that they love is the
- 35:22Speaker 1: greatest superpower of all. Now I'm not, you know, and
- 35:25Speaker 1: I've had plenty conversations with You're I'm not gonna forget.
- 35:28Speaker 1: I'm never gonna forget, and I'm gonna hold you accountable.
- 35:33Speaker 1: But at the same time, I just think we can't
- 35:35Speaker 1: go through life not wanting to be a part of
- 35:37Speaker 1: the Grammys or just that in the third in the
- 35:40Speaker 1: in the scheme of we work hard, we want our accolades,
- 35:43Speaker 1: we deserve awards. If that's the greatest award in music,
- 35:46Speaker 1: I want it. But Andre Horrell being president. If if
- 35:53Speaker 1: Andre Horrel becomes president of the Grammy, ship's going it's
- 35:57Speaker 1: going to change. He's responsible for hundred other members across
- 36:01Speaker 1: the country and there will be sisters and things put
- 36:03Speaker 1: in place of that. R and B even comes back.
- 36:05Speaker 1: Did you see the R and B category? Did you
- 36:08Speaker 1: see the people in the category? But it's changed a
- 36:11Speaker 1: lot right now. And my thing is it's just about
- 36:13Speaker 1: being fair. You know, if white people can win the Grammys,
- 36:17Speaker 1: we should be able to win period period. And from
- 36:22Speaker 1: the kins. If that's the case, the Redskins shouldn't be
- 36:25Speaker 1: called the Redskins, and now I signed for baller mail.
- 36:31Speaker 1: I hate that I'm a redskin thing. I really, I
- 36:37Speaker 1: really do. I might change my team this year. I'm
- 36:41Speaker 1: saying it on They're called the red Skins, and people
- 36:44Speaker 1: who's that that's the most offensive. That's like Trump calling
- 36:48Speaker 1: the lady that's running for office. Pokahonnas, he hailed boy
- 36:51Speaker 1: he is hel Hey baller mail here you all ready
- 36:54Speaker 1: for this one? This one actually was lit in my
- 36:58Speaker 1: d M, and I'm started to come on answers the
- 37:00Speaker 1: couple of our follows. Make sure if you got ballowed
- 37:02Speaker 1: up baller mail personal baller mail, you can always d
- 37:05Speaker 1: M them to me at Ferrari Summons Um baller mail.
- 37:08Speaker 1: My living boyfriend is giving me the solid treatment after
- 37:12Speaker 1: a minor disagreement. Peace, kiss, what up. If you're going
- 37:17Speaker 1: through a tough time, whether it's your relationship, your career,
- 37:20Speaker 1: or life, ball Alerts here for you, just to give
- 37:22Speaker 1: you some advice. Hey, okay, my boyfriend and I have
- 37:27Speaker 1: been living together for about two years now. I recently
- 37:30Speaker 1: agreed for him to move in with me. I pay
- 37:33Speaker 1: a majority of the bills at the moment, with him
- 37:36Speaker 1: contributing weekly. Already Stars off. We had a minor disagreement though, yeah,
- 37:44Speaker 1: and he has been giving me the silent treatment and
- 37:47Speaker 1: ignoring me in my house. I didn't sign up to
- 37:50Speaker 1: be walking on eggshells and living with tension? How do
- 37:53Speaker 1: I tell now? This is the question I need the
- 37:56Speaker 1: answer for. How do I tell him I won't tolerate
- 38:00Speaker 1: disrespect in my home without offending him? I'm saying here, wait, wait,
- 38:05Speaker 1: how do I tell him I won't tolerate disrespect in
- 38:09Speaker 1: my home without offending him? Just like I think he's
- 38:14Speaker 1: gonna be offended anyway. He's gonna be offended regardless. But
- 38:18Speaker 1: I'm not saying approaching. How do you say it without
- 38:20Speaker 1: offending him? That's the well what do you worry about
- 38:23Speaker 1: offending him for? Is like like like, hey, man, exactly
- 38:29Speaker 1: feel some type of way about our living condition right now?
- 38:31Speaker 1: I need to understand. I need to know what is
- 38:34Speaker 1: your plan? Like, what are we doing? What's going on?
- 38:37Speaker 1: How are you not talking to me? You need dm
- 38:39Speaker 1: me back and tell me the actual issue? Now you
- 38:41Speaker 1: already already go ahead. The problem ill that you'd be
- 38:45Speaker 1: dealing with motherfucker's you know you got no reason dealing
- 38:49Speaker 1: with before you let him in your house. He either
- 38:52Speaker 1: didn't treat fourteen times, he didn't take the fucking don
- 38:55Speaker 1: open it for he did something to let you know
- 38:58Speaker 1: it ain't even and he don't respect you fully. Ain't
- 39:02Speaker 1: no where in hell you're gonna invite somebody in your
- 39:05Speaker 1: house and they don't double down to get on the
- 39:07Speaker 1: halves or I'm gonna do a little extra the show
- 39:11Speaker 1: and you're feeling uncomfortable? How do you feel uncomfortable in
- 39:14Speaker 1: your own house? I feel like you're the man and
- 39:16Speaker 1: he the girl in your own house. How do you
- 39:21Speaker 1: feel uncomfortable? Lady? How do you even get to that
- 39:24Speaker 1: point that means he didn't respect you from the jump.
- 39:27Speaker 1: If you're talking about offing, he beat you, he put
- 39:30Speaker 1: his hands on or they had a great relationship. He
- 39:32Speaker 1: lost his job. She's trying to stick it out with him,
- 39:35Speaker 1: But somebody has nothing to do with not being real
- 39:38Speaker 1: with now. Maybe he is stuck in his head about
- 39:41Speaker 1: losing his job and I being able to provide, and
- 39:43Speaker 1: he's just like tanking, who knows first of all, her
- 39:47Speaker 1: saying her saying that she's scared of offending him has
- 39:51Speaker 1: some type of psychological ship. I don't want to rock
- 39:55Speaker 1: the boat something unless you're just that prep and that's
- 39:59Speaker 1: another thing about confrontation, or she just doesn't know how
- 40:01Speaker 1: to communicate. Um, we don't know, but I would like
- 40:04Speaker 1: to know. Maybe that d just be in the back
- 40:06Speaker 1: of her neck, y'all having issues having issues. I'm telling
- 40:11Speaker 1: you must got some HD that. But I don't understand.
- 40:15Speaker 1: How do you even acquat not being happy in your home?
- 40:18Speaker 1: Your home at home? How the hell are you paying
- 40:23Speaker 1: most of the bills? Yeah, we doin't do that, ladies.
- 40:25Speaker 1: If the man ain't come on, man, I just all right,
- 40:27Speaker 1: So wait, what what? What? What are we saying? So
- 40:29Speaker 1: what are we saying to her? She she's got it?
- 40:31Speaker 1: What is it over? Like Martin Rush says, keep it
- 40:35Speaker 1: one hunted? Hey man, Uh, listen, I do too much
- 40:40Speaker 1: around the house. You might have to hit his ass
- 40:42Speaker 1: like how he would hit your ass with it? Hey man,
- 40:44Speaker 1: I do too much around his motherfucker house to be
- 40:47Speaker 1: getting given the solid treatment. I'm a good woman. You
- 40:51Speaker 1: need to get your ship together. Huh, That's what i'd say,
- 40:53Speaker 1: So come on something. I agree with that a thousand percent. Um.
- 40:56Speaker 1: I definitely think there's an underlying issue. I think she
- 40:59Speaker 1: really cares about this saying be a text. Oh no,
- 41:03Speaker 1: she needs to come in and just be like, bab
- 41:05Speaker 1: I don't understand what's going on in our household. This
- 41:06Speaker 1: is not what I imagined when we moved in together.
- 41:10Speaker 1: What's what's going on? And if he doesn't give you
- 41:11Speaker 1: an answer you want, you gotta get him out. You
- 41:13Speaker 1: gotta get him out. It's over. Yeah. I would just
- 41:15Speaker 1: add to that by saying, pay attention to the signs.
- 41:19Speaker 1: You'll be knowing what you're getting yourself into. Yourself into
- 41:22Speaker 1: it nine times, Yeah, nine times, I'll oftend it's what
- 41:26Speaker 1: you think it is. And if it ain't happening that
- 41:28Speaker 1: nine times, I tend ain't gonna happen later either. Also, women,
- 41:31Speaker 1: y'all have this superpower that men never have. It's called
- 41:34Speaker 1: the sixth sense. Y'all already know the bullshit before it comes.
- 41:37Speaker 1: I don't know how y'all realize it, but you cipher
- 41:43Speaker 1: which bullshit to get rid of. It is just so
- 41:45Speaker 1: much trying to figure it out. You know the answer.
- 41:48Speaker 1: So remember these three words. Respect her. She knows, she
- 41:53Speaker 1: knows it's over. Get some toys, doesn't want it to
- 41:55Speaker 1: be Listen, Thank care of yourself, touch yourself. If you
- 42:04Speaker 1: love yourself, touch yourself, and not time for comment. Creeping,
- 42:09Speaker 1: creeping comment, creeping. Okay, since we were talking about the Grammys,
- 42:16Speaker 1: we're gonna just keep it in line. Landa Adams tweets,
- 42:19Speaker 1: thank you so much for the wonderful comments about the
- 42:21Speaker 1: Areta Franklin tribute. I performed with Fantasia and Andrew Day
- 42:24Speaker 1: at the Grammys, and then Asia and Andrew Day. We
- 42:30Speaker 1: got a little, a little snipping of Anita Baker's tweet
- 42:34Speaker 1: shaking my head, so we thought there was a little
- 42:37Speaker 1: bit of shade going on. It wouldn't have been it
- 42:41Speaker 1: wouldn't have been unbelievable for her to have thrown some shade.
- 42:44Speaker 1: We know that she throws a little bit of shade
- 42:47Speaker 1: every now and then. But her saxophonist DMed me and
- 42:52Speaker 1: wanted us to get it proper. So we're gonna make
- 42:54Speaker 1: sure we share that on the Father the Ships. The
- 42:57Speaker 1: saxophone is reached saxophoness like hold on now. This is
- 43:01Speaker 1: at Trey Daniel's music on Instagram if you guys want
- 43:04Speaker 1: to see who this guy is. The actual tweet was
- 43:07Speaker 1: this means there are no words to express my feelings
- 43:10Speaker 1: when the anointing is present. I just shake my head.
- 43:13Speaker 1: Yolanda and Fantage, you are friends. I have yet to
- 43:16Speaker 1: meet miss Day, but I was speechless like everyone else
- 43:19Speaker 1: in the building tonight. So you got to stop going
- 43:23Speaker 1: on Twitter chopping people's things up and blasting it out,
- 43:27Speaker 1: you know, social media up again. A shout out to
- 43:31Speaker 1: trade forgetting us the reil and making sure that we
- 43:34Speaker 1: clear it up because we like to fact check on
- 43:36Speaker 1: the bot. Wanted to make them pause with Thanksgiving because
- 43:38Speaker 1: that is shadow. Now pologize, I apologized. He didn't mean
- 43:48Speaker 1: a confused. That's when started doing out money clip that
- 43:56Speaker 1: we should probably start doing that. That would be so helpful.
- 44:00Speaker 1: Oh my god, Ferrari is crazy. The first he said,
- 44:03Speaker 1: did Blueprint seven come out? Food? No folk whatever? Man?
- 44:11Speaker 1: I need fresh fries, v we need a whole BRAI
- 44:15Speaker 1: blue berrier man, bloody vegan. Congratulations girl, and I need
- 44:18Speaker 1: some Birthday Saturday. I need birthday food. Birthday food by
- 44:24Speaker 1: Slowdy and now damn Jeeves is christ The boy just
- 44:29Speaker 1: says things sometimes, and now it's time, fucking future says
- 44:39Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. These last two weeks have been special
- 44:42Speaker 1: because I'm constantly learning and earning. Um, I'm out cheering
- 44:49Speaker 1: these streets, man. And I've prided myself on my walk,
- 44:53Speaker 1: meaning I've walked my own walk. I'm in my purpose, man,
- 44:57Speaker 1: I ain't really doing what everybody else is doing nothing.
- 45:00Speaker 1: I'm in a business where it's so much groupie ship,
- 45:03Speaker 1: you know, on time. I've never seen so many male
- 45:05Speaker 1: groupies in my entire life. But I don't really like
- 45:10Speaker 1: to get into the negative side of things. I want
- 45:12Speaker 1: to bring you into my world. And my world deals
- 45:16Speaker 1: with the power of love. See, because every time my
- 45:19Speaker 1: mouth here, I see I see you hate not I
- 45:23Speaker 1: really see the energy I really do. I just don't
- 45:25Speaker 1: acknowledge you because I can't let it seep into my pose.
- 45:27Speaker 1: You know what I'm talking about, Because what hate does
- 45:31Speaker 1: is it it moves like cancer, and if you give
- 45:33Speaker 1: it energy, it grows and grows and grows. So I
- 45:36Speaker 1: just rather deal with the power of love. And the
- 45:39Speaker 1: power of love starts what you love in yourself first. See,
- 45:43Speaker 1: if you love yourself, it's a shield. And then if
- 45:46Speaker 1: people come to you and have that genuine capability to
- 45:50Speaker 1: love themselves as well, you can then join and build,
- 45:54Speaker 1: gather and build. So please y'all pay attention to the signs,
- 45:59Speaker 1: but know that you are in control of your own destiny.
- 46:02Speaker 1: It's your lifestyle, specially Kenney Burns. And it's the ball
- 46:04Speaker 1: of the show Baby Peace, the ball Alert, Show Baby Peace,
- 46:08Speaker 1: The Ball Alert, Show Baby Peace. Okay, it's because the three.
- 46:17Speaker 1: It's real.
