- 0:00Speaker 1: Hello, Hello, Hello, what up? Bro? You know what I
- 0:03Speaker 1: was thinking right before I connected. I want to quote
- 0:07Speaker 1: Alan Arkin in the classic legendary film Going in Style,
- 0:12Speaker 1: or I thought you're about to say die Hard, but
- 0:14Speaker 1: he's not in that Going in Style. At the end
- 0:17Speaker 1: when he looks out, he plays a miserable curmudgeon and
- 0:21Speaker 1: he goes, you know, I have this very odd feeling.
- 0:23Speaker 1: I can't quite put my my my my finger on it.
- 0:28Speaker 1: I haven't felt it in some time, but I think
- 0:31Speaker 1: it might be happiness right now? Are you happy right now? Yeah?
- 0:37Speaker 1: It's seventy five in La and um that my cherry
- 0:42Speaker 1: blossoms are blooming, and I'm not gonna lie. I got
- 0:45Speaker 1: a little pep in my step. That's great. And I
- 0:50Speaker 1: was so excited to see you guys. I'm happy to
- 0:53Speaker 1: see Look, I'm always happy to see y'all. You know
- 0:55Speaker 1: how it goes. Yes, I'm always happy to see you.
- 0:59Speaker 1: I'm just you know, sometimes we're doing the podcast, I
- 1:02Speaker 1: still get nerves. I'm like, oh, I hope we were funny.
- 1:04Speaker 1: I hope I have energy and blah blah. You know,
- 1:06Speaker 1: I still believe it or not. You might be surprised
- 1:09Speaker 1: listener to know that I still get a little nervous
- 1:12Speaker 1: as we're starting. But today I was walking through my
- 1:16Speaker 1: garden and I went, I'm happy, jo Well, please turn
- 1:21Speaker 1: off rebels during the show that was freaking Ariana Grandees
- 1:28Speaker 1: was classics and no no no oh no no no
- 1:40Speaker 1: no no no, no no, because you and I listen
- 1:47Speaker 1: and don youn't believe God in the one mon am
- 1:51Speaker 1: I right? Is that they just from that alone, that's
- 1:56Speaker 1: what I would be biking too. Yeah, I know. And
- 1:58Speaker 1: guess Cody would be like, guess what your guess what
- 2:00Speaker 1: you're riding. Cody would be the leader of the ride
- 2:02Speaker 1: talking about that's right God as a woman. Everybody loves
- 2:07Speaker 1: this Cody. I gotta get in there, Joel, when's your birthday? October? First,
- 2:13Speaker 1: you're a libra I am a libra um. We might
- 2:18Speaker 1: Donald and I might have to give you a peloton
- 2:20Speaker 1: as only one. We have a whole spot. Dan Daniel's
- 2:24Speaker 1: like my Monday has come and garden, oh my God,
- 2:27Speaker 1: with a motherfucking record, no record of all. First of all,
- 2:37Speaker 1: I don't ever like seeing Joel Monique at all melancholic.
- 2:41Speaker 1: And she said that I wish I had a peloton
- 2:44Speaker 1: with such a little bit of melancholy in her voice
- 2:46Speaker 1: that I was like, how can I rectify that? I'm
- 2:50Speaker 1: get that hotti a bike? Yes, there it is. Yeah.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Do you spend the day Donald, I did not spend today.
- 2:58Speaker 1: I'd spent the day riding a freaking rap. Well, doctor,
- 3:01Speaker 1: we're gonna get to that rap, and I'm very excited
- 3:03Speaker 1: to hear it, because well before we get to everyone,
- 3:06Speaker 1: the chatter about how good you're rapping is, I'm gonna say,
- 3:09Speaker 1: the real chatter is everybody flipping out over Richard Kind,
- 3:12Speaker 1: which makes me so happy. What a great episode man,
- 3:15Speaker 1: he did such a you know, you get lucky sometimes,
- 3:18Speaker 1: you know, we always try to bring in really good
- 3:20Speaker 1: guests for you and stuff. Yeah, but sometimes you get lucky.
- 3:24Speaker 1: I would have never guessed that Richard would have had
- 3:27Speaker 1: so much I know, I know he's a vet, but
- 3:29Speaker 1: I would have never guessed that he would have given
- 3:31Speaker 1: his knowledge so freely as he would say, I assume this,
- 3:35Speaker 1: this this knowledge is complimentary. I mean, but it was
- 3:41Speaker 1: really if it was amazing, dude. I listened to it back,
- 3:43Speaker 1: and I was just you know, we always listened back.
- 3:45Speaker 1: As you notice, see if we have notes or it's
- 3:47Speaker 1: anything we want to cut or whatever. And I was
- 3:50Speaker 1: just driving in my car and I was cracking up
- 3:54Speaker 1: and then and then all of a sudden, he dropped
- 3:55Speaker 1: some of the awesome fucking you know advice or knowledge
- 3:59Speaker 1: and then, oh my god. I call Bill this morning.
- 4:01Speaker 1: I was like, have you listening yet? He goes, no,
- 4:02Speaker 1: my you know my ritual. I get in bed with
- 4:04Speaker 1: my beat's headphones so I don't bother. Krista and I
- 4:07Speaker 1: listened that night. I'm all right, but dude, you're gonna
- 4:09Speaker 1: love this. And I go, I can't. I gotta tell
- 4:11Speaker 1: you what he said, and I told him how he
- 4:12Speaker 1: goes how. Richard was like, now I heard there was
- 4:15Speaker 1: a podcast and uh and I said, and they said
- 4:19Speaker 1: I should call you guys, and I said, don't worry,
- 4:21Speaker 1: they'll call, and uh, I just I've been laughing. I've
- 4:27Speaker 1: been smiling all day about Richard kind going they'll call,
- 4:31Speaker 1: and we did, and we did, and we did. Did
- 4:35Speaker 1: you know? I had a lot of people on my
- 4:36Speaker 1: Instagram comments saying, uh, you know, you guys should keep
- 4:40Speaker 1: doing those point five episodes. They're so um, you know, informative,
- 4:45Speaker 1: you know, because we had done the one with Johnny
- 4:47Speaker 1: C when we had an episode mix up. And I
- 4:50Speaker 1: think that's a really cool thing to fold in um
- 4:53Speaker 1: because people really love it when you go. When you go,
- 4:56Speaker 1: you know, every once in a while, we're not gonna
- 4:57Speaker 1: do an episode we're gonna take you know, we could
- 4:59Speaker 1: do it with so many other guest stars that would
- 5:02Speaker 1: you know, we could do it with. You know. The
- 5:04Speaker 1: thing about rich re the thing I mean not to
- 5:07Speaker 1: not to dish anybody else that we do it with.
- 5:09Speaker 1: You know, he also just happens to be an amazing
- 5:12Speaker 1: storyteller and uh, you know, not everyone is going to
- 5:16Speaker 1: come and bring bring the heat like that. Well yeah,
- 5:18Speaker 1: you know, well, I mean the thing is, he's one
- 5:23Speaker 1: of those people that always gives you comedy with his
- 5:29Speaker 1: with his storytelling, and that's very important for Fake Doctor's
- 5:32Speaker 1: real friends. Yeah, we are not a dramatic show. We
- 5:34Speaker 1: do not sit here and pretend to be a dramatic show. Right.
- 5:36Speaker 1: We want to make you smile. So when we have
- 5:39Speaker 1: guests like Richard Kind, I definitely agree with you we
- 5:43Speaker 1: should do the point five shows. Yeah, I agree with you.
- 5:46Speaker 1: It's like a it's like a deep dive with one person. Yeah,
- 5:50Speaker 1: and both times at both times it's happened by accident
- 5:53Speaker 1: where we were both like, oh shit, they didn't watch
- 5:55Speaker 1: the episode. What do we do? I guess we did
- 5:57Speaker 1: that with Gabby too. M Well, yeah, yeah, absolutely still
- 6:01Speaker 1: talked about the episode though. Oh we did talk about
- 6:03Speaker 1: the episode. Yeah, this one's good, and um, I'm excited
- 6:07Speaker 1: to talk about it. Should you? Should we? Should we
- 6:08Speaker 1: get into it? Should you? Should you count us into
- 6:10Speaker 1: America's favorite song? Well, let's start with the recap first. No,
- 6:14Speaker 1: we always count in first, Donald, and this one, I
- 6:17Speaker 1: need to do the recap first. Real Oh, there must
- 6:20Speaker 1: be a secret thing that I'm not thinking of all
- 6:23Speaker 1: right now, everybody loves your rapping. I got a d
- 6:26Speaker 1: M from Doctor Dre Bullshit and he said, if you
- 6:31Speaker 1: told you it was about it is because DJ Daniel
- 6:34Speaker 1: not a cousin of No. He DMS me and said,
- 6:37Speaker 1: do you know how I can get in touch with
- 6:39Speaker 1: Donald Fayson because Chronic I have a new album and
- 6:45Speaker 1: I'd like to do a track with Donald and DJ Daniel.
- 6:48Speaker 1: He wants me on Chronic twenty twenty one. Yes, I
- 6:52Speaker 1: get on Nice. That'd be dope. By the way, Look
- 6:55Speaker 1: that's a dope name. Chronic twenty twenty one. I need
- 6:58Speaker 1: your help, by the way, about ut teaching about learning
- 7:01Speaker 1: the running Man, because I want to learn the running man.
- 7:04Speaker 1: I taught my daughter how to do the running man.
- 7:05Speaker 1: I could teach you how to do the running while
- 7:07Speaker 1: your daughter can dance a lot better than I can.
- 7:08Speaker 1: But I would really love you since you are. I
- 7:11Speaker 1: think it's safe to say one of the great running
- 7:13Speaker 1: man's of all time. You know who else does an
- 7:17Speaker 1: amazing running man? Do you remember the Keenan Thompson schedule?
- 7:19Speaker 1: Who what up with that? Jason Sedikas comes in in
- 7:23Speaker 1: a red run Adida's suit and does the funniest, silliest
- 7:29Speaker 1: I think it's running man. It's amazing. I want to
- 7:32Speaker 1: do that. Cow yes, mazelt to our friend Jason sedika
- 7:37Speaker 1: is for winning the Golden Globe. That was peak. There's
- 7:44Speaker 1: no way to say I don't give a fuck about awards.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Better than accepting in a tied eye hoodie. I really
- 7:49Speaker 1: you gotta tip your hat to that. I personally would
- 7:53Speaker 1: have been like tails, but it was the middle of
- 7:58Speaker 1: the night in England, so we'll give him the all
- 8:00Speaker 1: right hoodie? But um, I gotta tell you, I was
- 8:02Speaker 1: just so excited I was just I you know, I know,
- 8:06Speaker 1: I try and brag about being a part of that show,
- 8:10Speaker 1: but in all seriousness, when when I was directing and
- 8:12Speaker 1: I thought it was funny, I knew Jason was charming
- 8:15Speaker 1: as fucking hell and Bill is Bill, but I had
- 8:18Speaker 1: no idea that it would become the huge success it's become.
- 8:21Speaker 1: It is that. By the way, that's Apple's first Golden Globe. Wowy,
- 8:26Speaker 1: it is yeah, very exciting, Jason said. Akis everybody, and
- 8:30Speaker 1: of course if you're one of the four people that
- 8:32Speaker 1: has not watched the show, please check it out. All right,
- 8:35Speaker 1: you ready, Donald, Here we go j D and they
- 8:38Speaker 1: got beef thanks to Julian Muga Leese. I wish it
- 8:42Speaker 1: was beak like the Face because we'd all say along, Yeah,
- 8:45Speaker 1: you know the theme song, Elliot's sick of bullshit. They
- 8:48Speaker 1: test her at work like a quiz. She becomes a
- 8:50Speaker 1: boy because her patients a dick Thanka, so say ish.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Georgia's pep talk was a refreshing shift. Todd gets to
- 8:57Speaker 1: sex Ali Yep in the end on your favorite of Kanye.
- 8:59Speaker 1: You know, we stake friends rose before host, but love
- 9:01Speaker 1: always wins. I learned all this watching Wanda vision Joel Monique.
- 9:05Speaker 1: The recap is complete. Shout out d beat for this beat.
- 9:08Speaker 1: You what free DJ Daniel, hear me? I see how
- 9:10Speaker 1: you do respect to all of you listen this too.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Now back to this show. I was almost so late
- 9:15Speaker 1: after one, two, three, four comes. Here's some stories about
- 9:19Speaker 1: show we made about a bunch of dots and nurses,
- 9:23Speaker 1: and he's that stories never so data around here, a
- 9:33Speaker 1: yata around here. That's amazing. He's so amazing. God, dude,
- 9:48Speaker 1: in your next life, you need to be a rapper.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Love that one. Um, you're talented. You're very talented rapper, Daniel.
- 9:53Speaker 1: I hope that your beat can can match the awesomeness
- 9:56Speaker 1: of that. He will, he will crush that dude if
- 9:59Speaker 1: he that. The thing is it's at one fifteen beats
- 10:02Speaker 1: per minute, so the beat could be like something freaky
- 10:06Speaker 1: with that, you know what I mean? Like, that's the crazy.
- 10:08Speaker 1: What do you want him to do slower? I want
- 10:10Speaker 1: him to do whatever he want. Whatever he's feeling, man, Yeah,
- 10:12Speaker 1: whatever you're feeling, Daniel, guys, um, so family feud got real?
- 10:18Speaker 1: You got real real? This is so fast. We're taping on.
- 10:21Speaker 1: When Joel March something I don't know when it airs.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Do you know what it airs? No? I don't, but
- 10:28Speaker 1: it's the day after our live show we tape it, yes,
- 10:31Speaker 1: so you have to Well yeah, okay everyone, we're gonna
- 10:34Speaker 1: tell you when we know, and we're going on the
- 10:36Speaker 1: Drew Barrymore Show. Right, we're going up. We will have
- 10:41Speaker 1: already been on The Drew Barrymore Show at this point. Really,
- 10:44Speaker 1: when does when does it air? What we record? We
- 10:47Speaker 1: record tomorrow. I don't know when it airs? Actually, sorry,
- 10:50Speaker 1: can you find out from Danika when it airs? Maybe
- 10:52Speaker 1: we can tell the fans to t vow it. Remember
- 10:55Speaker 1: t vow gosh, I do remember. Remember it's the sound
- 10:59Speaker 1: effects of tea. I didn't have what. I don't know
- 11:02Speaker 1: what that well, TiVo, I don't know what that that
- 11:06Speaker 1: that artistry of of of designing merchandises, but the really
- 11:13Speaker 1: gratifying audible noises sound sound design for products. Daniel, what
- 11:18Speaker 1: is that? What is that? Yeah? I mean it's just
- 11:20Speaker 1: kind of like folly in sound designer all you know,
- 11:22Speaker 1: innately part of the design of a product. I mean
- 11:25Speaker 1: that much is just as important as like, for example,
- 11:27Speaker 1: the headshot noise and something like call of duty or
- 11:30Speaker 1: any kind of like video game or any sort of
- 11:33Speaker 1: product that's like, it's a huge part of the defining
- 11:35Speaker 1: the experience is that this many years later, I'm still
- 11:39Speaker 1: thinking about how I really enjoyed the sound effects on
- 11:42Speaker 1: TiVo and they're gone, because you know, the Apple TV
- 11:45Speaker 1: ones or or whatever aren't really gratifying at all. In fact,
- 11:49Speaker 1: I finally figured out how to turn off the auto
- 11:52Speaker 1: playing of the show on Netflix. You know what I mean?
- 11:56Speaker 1: Do you guys have that shit turned on or off
- 11:59Speaker 1: where automatic goes into the eye when you're flipping around Netflix. No? No,
- 12:02Speaker 1: when you're flipping around Netflix, if it just starts playing
- 12:05Speaker 1: the show the trailer of the show. Oh, I like
- 12:08Speaker 1: that feature. I know a lot of people do. I
- 12:10Speaker 1: love it? Oh? I hate it, even if I can't
- 12:13Speaker 1: think it's doubly satisfactory because either it's a horrible clip
- 12:17Speaker 1: that tells you nothing about the show, which I find
- 12:20Speaker 1: to be entertainment in and of itself. I'm like, why
- 12:22Speaker 1: did you show us a woman walking through this house
- 12:24Speaker 1: for a full minute? What was the point? I don't
- 12:26Speaker 1: know anything about her or why because I assume because
- 12:29Speaker 1: those trailers aren't specifically cut biting him. You want someone
- 12:32Speaker 1: just clip out I mean, no human would do this.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Let me let me let me rephrase. Sometimes, if it's
- 12:39Speaker 1: designed for Netflix or whatever, someone has clearly curated it.
- 12:42Speaker 1: But other times, yeah, there's just some intern has decided
- 12:44Speaker 1: to well, here's a minute of the show, and it's
- 12:49Speaker 1: always like the last minute of the opening credits. That's
- 12:53Speaker 1: all you get to see. You see the opening credits,
- 12:55Speaker 1: and that's it for every preview of every episode. Like,
- 13:00Speaker 1: that's not a preview, that's the opening credits. Well, I
- 13:02Speaker 1: just thought that feature was really annoying, and if you're curious,
- 13:06Speaker 1: you can google how to turn it off. I finally
- 13:08Speaker 1: figure it out, and it makes my It makes my
- 13:11Speaker 1: browsing experience more pleasurable, but but still not to the
- 13:15Speaker 1: level of those beautiful, gratifying TVO sound effects. Dude, what buddy,
- 13:22Speaker 1: this is what I get it. She fine, she fines
- 13:28Speaker 1: can be as a matter of fact, Holy cow, dude,
- 13:34Speaker 1: wow wow. Respect. I think at the time I wasn't
- 13:38Speaker 1: even aware. I wasn't aware of it either, dude. I mean,
- 13:41Speaker 1: in front of her, she's a beautiful woman, but watching
- 13:43Speaker 1: him now, she's a knockout as as a grown man,
- 13:46Speaker 1: now as a man, now as a man Finally, at
- 13:49Speaker 1: forty six, I'm a man looking back at that. When
- 13:52Speaker 1: I watched this, I'm like, oh, it totally makes sense
- 13:55Speaker 1: why JD did what he did. Well. No, I mean,
- 13:58Speaker 1: in real life, never get out to you to talk
- 14:01Speaker 1: about a heightened reality. I would never. I would never
- 14:03Speaker 1: have sex with a woman who's suing you on the
- 14:07Speaker 1: table where she was, where she was suing you, where
- 14:11Speaker 1: the deposition occurred. Oh my god, how fun funny is really? Okay,
- 14:16Speaker 1: let me let's let's rewind this a little bit. Now,
- 14:18Speaker 1: let's rewind this. Let's say that the lawyer was very
- 14:25Speaker 1: much looked very much like who's like Sandy Crawford back
- 14:29Speaker 1: in the day. Yeah, let's say it was that you're saying, yes,
- 14:33Speaker 1: that you could be right? Never mind, I would do it. Yeah, okay,
- 14:36Speaker 1: thank you, thank you very much. At the height of
- 14:45Speaker 1: what I was at the height of in high school puberty,
- 14:48Speaker 1: everything turning on, I was like, it was Stephanie Seymour,
- 14:51Speaker 1: Remember Stephanie Seymour? And I think I told you this story?
- 14:55Speaker 1: Did I mention this story about how I got the
- 14:57Speaker 1: picture with her boobs out from GQ magazine Cindy Crawford,
- 15:00Speaker 1: So well, I tell the story already. No. All right.
- 15:04Speaker 1: So so back in the day, GQ magazine would have
- 15:06Speaker 1: the occasional to tasteful, tasteful but topless shot. You know,
- 15:13Speaker 1: you know, people don't may not remember that, but it
- 15:15Speaker 1: was alway. It wasn't like Playboy, but it was like
- 15:17Speaker 1: it would be like, how he's gonna tasteful shot? What
- 15:20Speaker 1: does taste like? It's art? It's like, I mean, it
- 15:23Speaker 1: wasn't like Playboy, like you know, like Playboy esque. It
- 15:26Speaker 1: was like you it wasn't like Penthouse, No, buddy, I'm
- 15:30Speaker 1: telling you. Play Boy is hold on Playboy. They tried
- 15:33Speaker 1: to be artful. Penhouse was the spread, all right, But
- 15:36Speaker 1: I'm talking about this Playboy has like the filter on
- 15:38Speaker 1: and she's in a Santa outfit and whatever. This was like,
- 15:41Speaker 1: you know, a black and white by a really fancy photographer,
- 15:44Speaker 1: like on a beach Stephanie Seymour. A holy different thing,
- 15:47Speaker 1: a totally different thing. Anyway, I found a loophole because
- 15:51Speaker 1: obviously wasn't allowed to have a Playboy, but I was
- 15:53Speaker 1: allowed to have GQ. Not I didn't even a fuck
- 15:55Speaker 1: about GQ. I just knew that occasionally, if you got
- 15:57Speaker 1: a good issue, you might see Stephanie's See More Spooks
- 16:03Speaker 1: and I had so my parents had gotten divorced, and
- 16:05Speaker 1: I um, I had my dad. You know when the
- 16:09Speaker 1: when the dad, when parents get divorced, the parent the
- 16:13Speaker 1: other parent will often like trick out your room or
- 16:16Speaker 1: you know, do things to like make you want to
- 16:17Speaker 1: go there. So my dad got me a water bed
- 16:19Speaker 1: because it's a kid, I really really wanted a water bed,
- 16:22Speaker 1: so I I he allowed me to hang for some reason,
- 16:27Speaker 1: he didn't have any objections. I had my my black
- 16:30Speaker 1: and white topless picture of Stephane Seymour, and I would
- 16:34Speaker 1: just want to look at it and like gently hump
- 16:36Speaker 1: the water bed. Did you get the water bed strictly
- 16:43Speaker 1: to hump it? Like no, I just you know, I
- 16:45Speaker 1: don't know how you were, but as as a fifteen
- 16:48Speaker 1: year old kid, I thought water beds were the coolest thing.
- 16:50Speaker 1: I mean, this is you know. So my buddy, my
- 16:52Speaker 1: buddy got a water bed by the way. By the way,
- 16:54Speaker 1: two days into having a water bed, I was like
- 16:56Speaker 1: seasick and like this sucks. My buddy got a water
- 17:00Speaker 1: bed for the reason of we thought he was We
- 17:03Speaker 1: were like in our we had graduated high school, but
- 17:08Speaker 1: we weren't out of our parents' house just yet, and
- 17:11Speaker 1: his mom allowed him to get a water bed, and
- 17:14Speaker 1: then she went out of town. So we were throwing
- 17:16Speaker 1: parties at his house and everything like that. And while
- 17:20Speaker 1: she was out of town, and one time the girl
- 17:26Speaker 1: I was dating came over and I was like, Yo,
- 17:28Speaker 1: can we use your water bed? And he was like, yeah, absolutely.
- 17:32Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you something right now. Fuck a water bed, dude.
- 17:37Speaker 1: That shit is the worst thing that ever. It's like,
- 17:39Speaker 1: there's nothing fun about sex on a water bed. There's
- 17:42Speaker 1: nothing awesome about sex on a water bed. It's uncomfortable.
- 17:45Speaker 1: You can't ever get good grip. You never get a
- 17:48Speaker 1: good grip. Oh yeah, you know what you don't You
- 17:51Speaker 1: ever know when the trampoline, You know, when you get
- 17:53Speaker 1: a bad bounce on the trampoline and that freaking jams you.
- 17:57Speaker 1: It happens, you got a bad bounce in you're thrusting. Yeah,
- 18:01Speaker 1: I got a bad bounce on the thrust. But yeah,
- 18:05Speaker 1: I gotta tell you, a water bed was fun. For
- 18:08Speaker 1: like forty eight hours. I thought I was the most
- 18:10Speaker 1: I thought it was the coolest kid in the world.
- 18:12Speaker 1: And then I remember my stepmother coming in and she
- 18:14Speaker 1: was like, why are you frowning? And I was like,
- 18:16Speaker 1: don't tell anyone, but I'm csick. They had just bought
- 18:23Speaker 1: this whole fucking thing. It got off and all I
- 18:25Speaker 1: could think about, all I can think about, even at
- 18:27Speaker 1: like fifteen, was how are we going to drain this
- 18:29Speaker 1: fucking thing and get it out of here? The frame
- 18:35Speaker 1: is also you could always put another yeah, if you
- 18:39Speaker 1: can figure out, if you can figure out how to
- 18:40Speaker 1: get the water out, you can put a mattress in
- 18:42Speaker 1: the frame, which which I eventually did because I felt
- 18:46Speaker 1: bad telling my dad because he had you know, he
- 18:48Speaker 1: had treated me to it. But I eventually was like,
- 18:50Speaker 1: this is not this is not water beds are a letdown.
- 18:54Speaker 1: They are zach quoth zach breath. They are a huge letdown.
- 19:00Speaker 1: And the waves are real too, Like all of that
- 19:01Speaker 1: stuff is Does anyone sell water beds anymore? I mean,
- 19:04Speaker 1: this was such a craze back in the day, but
- 19:06Speaker 1: you know, you never hear about anyone, Like anytime you
- 19:08Speaker 1: see a water bed in a in a show, it's
- 19:11Speaker 1: meant to be a joke. I wonder if there's like
- 19:14Speaker 1: I wonder how waterbed sales are doing in twenty twenty one,
- 19:17Speaker 1: but they were sold as like a sex thing, right,
- 19:20Speaker 1: like the motion of the ocean with the waterbed like
- 19:22Speaker 1: I don't know that it was sold as a sex thing.
- 19:25Speaker 1: It was sold as like, well, I don't know. I'm
- 19:27Speaker 1: sure if you're an adult and you've got one, you
- 19:29Speaker 1: were thinking about banging on it. Do you guys got
- 19:31Speaker 1: some crazy water bed? Yes? Please? I want to know
- 19:34Speaker 1: how much the industry has declined since the eighties. This
- 19:38Speaker 1: is according to Purple dot com, which is a mattress
- 19:40Speaker 1: sales company, and apparently in the eighties, one in five
- 19:43Speaker 1: Americans owned a water watching five. It was very popular,
- 19:49Speaker 1: but by the nineteen nineties the water beds had fallen
- 19:52Speaker 1: out of popularity because of the maintenance required, but they
- 19:54Speaker 1: can still be found today, mostly online. They don't have
- 19:58Speaker 1: a specifically how many people I gotta put it? And
- 20:00Speaker 1: you know, you have to have a heater on it
- 20:02Speaker 1: because the water, even in a warm environment, gets cold,
- 20:06Speaker 1: so so it's also heated. You've got a heated bed.
- 20:11Speaker 1: It was. You know, it's maybe maybe you're not convinced
- 20:14Speaker 1: that it's a bad idea, but I'm here to tell
- 20:16Speaker 1: you that you'll regret it after twenty four hours and
- 20:19Speaker 1: Donald here to tell you that it's hard to bang
- 20:21Speaker 1: unless it's really hard to bang on I'm telling you
- 20:24Speaker 1: right now, all right. Drew Barrymore airs on the fifth, So,
- 20:30Speaker 1: um yeah Friday check o day after this show, So
- 20:33Speaker 1: tomorrow listen. Drew and I are old friends, and this

- 20:42Speaker 1: her movies. She's such a sweetheart. She's so just eccentric
- 20:47Speaker 1: and fun and silly and like a she's like a kid.
- 20:51Speaker 1: And uh, and I think we're gonna have a lot
- 20:52Speaker 1: of fun down and I'm just so happy we're getting
- 20:54Speaker 1: all this Uh, the podcast is getting all this good attention.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Family Drew Barrymore. I can't believe, man. I would have
- 21:00Speaker 1: never guessed that a podcast on iHeart Radio would be
- 21:07Speaker 1: so popular that we would have made it all the
- 21:09Speaker 1: way to family Feud. Drew Barrymore comes on CBS. Yeah, CBS,
- 21:13Speaker 1: So just if you're listening right now, pause the podcast
- 21:17Speaker 1: and um and mark your your calendar. CBS on the fifth,
- 21:23Speaker 1: The Drew Barrymore Show with Doctor I hope she wears
- 21:29Speaker 1: our ones We've sent her a onesie because she was
- 21:31Speaker 1: interested in our merch, and I really hope that she
- 21:34Speaker 1: how great would be if Drew came out in the onesie,
- 21:38Speaker 1: it would make my day. It would make my day
- 21:40Speaker 1: to have our faces all over the legendary Drew Barrymore.
- 21:44Speaker 1: I mean I got stories of Drew Baro when I
- 21:46Speaker 1: was a kid man. That was like that for sure
- 21:48Speaker 1: is one of my first crushes. It was like Lisa
- 21:51Speaker 1: Turtle from Saved by the Bell, Drew Barrymore from like
- 21:55Speaker 1: WHI the crush? Is that what she did? No? That
- 21:59Speaker 1: wasn't That was Alicia's stone. Oh wait? What was the
- 22:01Speaker 1: Drew one that where she was like a oh it
- 22:03Speaker 1: was like a little she was like a seductress poison ivy. No,
- 22:07Speaker 1: maybe that was I don't know, there was, I don't
- 22:09Speaker 1: know what it was. When Drew became like a woman,
- 22:11Speaker 1: she started doing like these sort of There was one
- 22:14Speaker 1: where she was in a trailer park, like her and
- 22:17Speaker 1: her dad moved to a trailer park and in the
- 22:20Speaker 1: in It, all she does in one scene is she
- 22:23Speaker 1: jumps in a pool in an all black bathing suit
- 22:26Speaker 1: and it's like a freaking It's not even a bikini,
- 22:30Speaker 1: it's a bathing suit. And I remember as a kid
- 22:32Speaker 1: being like, I want to marry her. I want to
- 22:35Speaker 1: marry her right now. I love her. I love not
- 22:38Speaker 1: only is she beautiful, but she's just God. Her personality,
- 22:43Speaker 1: you might think that, you know, that sort of flower child,
- 22:46Speaker 1: silly hippie is like a character that's drew. She's so
- 22:50Speaker 1: naturally just like high on life and silly and I
- 22:54Speaker 1: mean so yeah, that combined with her her and just
- 22:56Speaker 1: and just and just well not just that also just
- 22:59Speaker 1: like her. She's so savvy when it comes to the industry.
- 23:02Speaker 1: She's been in it forever, you know, and so you know,
- 23:05Speaker 1: she's produced some really good movies, she's produced some good television.
- 23:09Speaker 1: She has her own talk show now, like she can
- 23:11Speaker 1: do everything, and she's made the wisest choice she's made
- 23:16Speaker 1: in her career having us on her show. I you know,
- 23:19Speaker 1: I think her producer, I think her producer is gonna
- 23:22Speaker 1: be like, true, you're not gonna believe this. I know,
- 23:24Speaker 1: we just had Spielberg on. I know he just had
- 23:27Speaker 1: Tom Cruise on. But the ratings spiked to our all
- 23:32Speaker 1: time high with Donald and Zach' That's what I'm manifesting
- 23:37Speaker 1: on my white board. Putting on a white board. Put
- 23:38Speaker 1: it on a white board. All right, should we get
- 23:40Speaker 1: in the show, my friend, let's get into the show.
- 23:44Speaker 1: Shout out. First of all, let's shout out Joe Poliito
- 23:47Speaker 1: from He's on the show. Yeah. And I don't know
- 23:49Speaker 1: why Joe Polido isn't credited, because I looked for him
- 23:53Speaker 1: on Scrubs, Wickie and he's not on there. But but
- 23:56Speaker 1: he's hilarious. What a funny, funny man, the late great
- 23:59Speaker 1: Joelo Man. Oh, I didn't know he passed. When did
- 24:01Speaker 1: he die, like twenty fifteen or sixteen? Oh? I really
- 24:05Speaker 1: really liked him. I put him. I made a pilot
- 24:08Speaker 1: for Fox that didn't go with my brother, and I
- 24:11Speaker 1: gave him up. I asked him to come in and
- 24:12Speaker 1: do a one scene, really funny part, and he didn't
- 24:15Speaker 1: pause for a second, and he was fucking hilarious and
- 24:18Speaker 1: just a good, good, good guy. Yeah, he was. I
- 24:22Speaker 1: did a movie with him called Venus in Vegas, and
- 24:25Speaker 1: we hung out on set a lot because we had
- 24:28Speaker 1: scenes together, and he expressed how he really liked Scrubs.
- 24:32Speaker 1: And I remember saying to Randall, I think we should
- 24:34Speaker 1: get Joe Polido on the show. And then like two
- 24:36Speaker 1: weeks later, Joe Poliito was on the show. You're the
- 24:38Speaker 1: one who made it happen. I don't know if I'm
- 24:40Speaker 1: the one who made it happen, but I remember him
- 24:42Speaker 1: express you know, expressing to me how much he loved Scrubs,
- 24:46Speaker 1: and I was like, well, let's get you on the show.
- 24:49Speaker 1: And they and I believe he knew Bill before this.
- 24:52Speaker 1: He had to have known Bill before this, Bill and
- 24:54Speaker 1: Randall because like that he was on the show. So yeah,
- 24:58Speaker 1: well he's you know, you know, we used the term
- 25:00Speaker 1: character actor. I guess it usually means someone who's so
- 25:03Speaker 1: distinctly a personality that they often play that distinct personality,
- 25:07Speaker 1: I guess, and I think he would be characterized as
- 25:11Speaker 1: one of those, and just a legendary journeyman actor that
- 25:17Speaker 1: that was in Nine Thousand Things and just every time,
- 25:20Speaker 1: every time he did a part, he just showed up
- 25:23Speaker 1: and stole the scene. Yeah, and he's great. This whole
- 25:26Speaker 1: shick with Sarah is so funny how she creates this
- 25:29Speaker 1: fake elliot Read and that's really and then the janitor
- 25:34Speaker 1: eventually comes in as doctor elliot Read. But we'll get there,
- 25:38Speaker 1: we'll get there. Jumping ahead, so we opened with pancake
- 25:41Speaker 1: face that people loved pancake face. I didn't remember pancake face. Really,
- 25:46Speaker 1: I've seen like gifts of it and stuff I'd never
- 25:48Speaker 1: I know. So when I when I finally knowledge of
- 25:52Speaker 1: scrubs this many years later, is the gifts that I
- 25:55Speaker 1: see everywhere? Yeah, me too, Like I'm waiting for the
- 25:59Speaker 1: one where we're rubbing each other's like that nestling in
- 26:02Speaker 1: each to you, it's obviously later. It's obvious that it's
- 26:07Speaker 1: later because you have a full beard when we're doing it.
- 26:10Speaker 1: So there's a season where I show up and I
- 26:12Speaker 1: and I have a beard and everyone makes fun of
- 26:14Speaker 1: it because I was so I was like, I was like,
- 26:16Speaker 1: let's shake it up in this season. I have a beard.
- 26:22Speaker 1: You know, after you do a show for nine years,
- 26:23Speaker 1: you're like, what can we do differently? Let's a beard. Yeah,
- 26:27Speaker 1: I got it. I got a crazy idea, what if
- 26:29Speaker 1: my character has a beard. But then you had to
- 26:31Speaker 1: have the beard. Everywhere you went for like a full year,
- 26:34Speaker 1: you had a beard. I liked the beard, especially when
- 26:37Speaker 1: it was brown back in the day. Now it's like it,
- 26:39Speaker 1: you know, my beard, your beard still black. My beard
- 26:42Speaker 1: looks so gray. I feel like ten years older. If
- 26:45Speaker 1: I grow my dude, you are so much and you're
- 26:48Speaker 1: in better shape than you were back then, so I
- 26:50Speaker 1: know that's true. You would look you look like a
- 26:53Speaker 1: silber fox with your beard. Now you should let them.
- 26:55Speaker 1: Let let the say a funny story. I had this audition.
- 26:58Speaker 1: I don't know if I told you this story about
- 27:00Speaker 1: this audition where I wanted to have the beard and
- 27:03Speaker 1: look younger. And so I was like, you know, when
- 27:06Speaker 1: you're on a set, the makeup artist very hard to
- 27:09Speaker 1: die a beard, but the makeup artist will take like
- 27:11Speaker 1: a mascara brush and a little bit of this pain
- 27:13Speaker 1: and a little by little they painted out. But I
- 27:15Speaker 1: had this audition and I didn't have a makeup artist
- 27:17Speaker 1: or or the makeup that they that she or he
- 27:20Speaker 1: would use. So I went and got just for men
- 27:25Speaker 1: hair dye. Right, this is so embarrassing, and I didn't
- 27:30Speaker 1: really know how to do it, just other than the obvious.
- 27:32Speaker 1: So I get it. And my beard wasn't that long.
- 27:35Speaker 1: It wasn't as long as yours is. Now. Well, I
- 27:38Speaker 1: put it on and they say leave it on for
- 27:40Speaker 1: this amount of time and then shower up. So I
- 27:42Speaker 1: come out of the shower and I'm like, oh no,
- 27:45Speaker 1: my whole skin, forget the hair, all of all of
- 27:49Speaker 1: the skin is dyed black. It looked pretty thick. Huh dude,
- 27:56Speaker 1: it looked like it looked horrible and it was. And
- 28:01Speaker 1: then I frantically started googling how do you get hair
- 28:06Speaker 1: dye off your skin? Hashtag home remedy. And it was
- 28:12Speaker 1: this crazy concoction of like baking soda, dish soap, and
- 28:18Speaker 1: something else I forgot, and you scrub that maybe hydrogen
- 28:22Speaker 1: peroxide or something I forgot, but you scrub that shit.
- 28:25Speaker 1: I eventually got it off, and it looked horrible, but
- 28:28Speaker 1: I did not get the part. They probably were watching
- 28:31Speaker 1: the audition going why the fuck does the character have
- 28:34Speaker 1: a horribly dyed beard. I'm sorry, but I put I
- 28:38Speaker 1: put it all. Guys, I gotta close my door and pee,
- 28:41Speaker 1: so I need thirty seconds. We'll be right back, all right,
- 28:53Speaker 1: began the show. Donald. We were into the show. This
- 28:57Speaker 1: is like the third time getting back into the show.
- 28:59Speaker 1: All right, Sorry, I'm excited about the show because I
- 29:01Speaker 1: laughed a lot. Let's talk about dirt loving babyw That
- 29:08Speaker 1: fantasy was so sorry, it's not a fantasy, but but
- 29:12Speaker 1: but this is one of those things where like it
- 29:15Speaker 1: crosses the line because yes, it's funny that the she
- 29:19Speaker 1: pushed you into the mattress, but it's it's a fantasy
- 29:22Speaker 1: in the sense that you're full on, like pushed down
- 29:25Speaker 1: into that. It's like a cartoon. Yes, cut out in
- 29:28Speaker 1: the mattress and I'm stuck in it. Yes. So this
- 29:31Speaker 1: is one of those moments where Bill is riding the
- 29:33Speaker 1: line of what's fantasy and what's real. But I fucking
- 29:36Speaker 1: laughed my ass off. Yeah. Yeah, And then you're what
- 29:40Speaker 1: do you say when she gets off of you? And
- 29:41Speaker 1: you say something like, we're all got children in the dark,
- 29:45Speaker 1: we're all cuts. No, you say that to us, But
- 29:47Speaker 1: what do you say when she rolls off of you?
- 29:49Speaker 1: You say something like baby, yeah, something like that, something
- 29:54Speaker 1: like that, no, or something like she was like was
- 29:56Speaker 1: it good for you? And you're like, I don't know.
- 29:58Speaker 1: I forgot what you said. I don't remember what I said. Oh,
- 30:00Speaker 1: here it is, you go, yes, it was, um, but wait,
- 30:06Speaker 1: you jumped a lot of stuff. Um I did. Yeah, oh,
- 30:09Speaker 1: the marathon, death racing, the Cold Open. I forgot about
- 30:13Speaker 1: the marathon. Now it's a callback to the pilot when
- 30:17Speaker 1: Sarah and I are racing each other and I have
- 30:19Speaker 1: the water thing I splashed it on my face. Oh man,
- 30:23Speaker 1: I missed a bunch of stuff. I missed you getting
- 30:25Speaker 1: spanked by Carla. Let's just talk about the stout man.
- 30:28Speaker 1: These guys did such a good First of all, Chris
- 30:30Speaker 1: constructed this episode. And you know, it just goes to
- 30:34Speaker 1: show you that when you watch a sequence in a
- 30:38Speaker 1: in a film or TV show and you yourself go, wow,
- 30:42Speaker 1: that was awesome, it's it's it's a combination of a
- 30:45Speaker 1: lot of people. Cinematographer, editor, director, of course. But when
- 30:49Speaker 1: I watched this, this sequence with everyone running to try
- 30:52Speaker 1: and get to the patient first, I had to stop
- 30:54Speaker 1: and go who directed this episode? This is so well done?
- 30:57Speaker 1: And it was Chris. Chris Kotch who's was was a
- 31:00Speaker 1: really really great director and was one of our favorites
- 31:04Speaker 1: because that was just excellently done. Yeah, you know, he
- 31:09Speaker 1: has he directed movies at all? Does he directed movie?
- 31:11Speaker 1: I think he has done a few features. But he's
- 31:13Speaker 1: a huge, very respected, very hard to get TV or
- 31:17Speaker 1: TV comedy director, and he's did he he didn't start
- 31:20Speaker 1: with us, but he kind of work started, you know,
- 31:23Speaker 1: cultivating his art form with us. Kind of Yeah. I
- 31:26Speaker 1: mean he was working. Um he was when you look
- 31:30Speaker 1: up some of his biggest credits, and he might I'm
- 31:33Speaker 1: sure he's got nominations too. He was working Donald I remember,
- 31:36Speaker 1: and I think that like as we were kind of,
- 31:39Speaker 1: you know, getting our stride and he was kind of
- 31:42Speaker 1: having a moment, I remember thinking like, this isn't just
- 31:45Speaker 1: one of a random director. This is like a hot
- 31:47Speaker 1: TV director, Like you know, like we felt with Buckland
- 31:50Speaker 1: or Spiller. There were certain guys and gals Gilman Queso
- 31:54Speaker 1: that were like, you know, they were the they were
- 31:56Speaker 1: the cool kids of the moment, you know what I mean,
- 31:58Speaker 1: right right? Yeah, yeah, he did. You know, he did
- 32:01Speaker 1: a guy thing. He did a snow Day directed a
- 32:04Speaker 1: lot of the middle a lot of us. Did he
- 32:08Speaker 1: direct that? That that movie snow Days? Snow Day? He
- 32:11Speaker 1: directed it. That's the one with version, the two thousand version.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Oh maybe thinking of a different movie, which what are
- 32:19Speaker 1: you thinking of? Wasn't there a movie with um the
- 32:23Speaker 1: show me the money actor what's his name? Dogs? You're
- 32:27Speaker 1: thinking of snow Dogs. He's thinking snow Dogs Dogs. That's
- 32:32Speaker 1: also good movie. Really, I never saw snow Dogs. So
- 32:35Speaker 1: here's the thing, man, everybody thought snow Dogs was gonna
- 32:38Speaker 1: suck and it turned out to be pretty dope. Dude, Well,
- 32:41Speaker 1: I'm sure you have kids. It's probably great to watch
- 32:42Speaker 1: with kids. Oh how about when Julianna Markley throws me
- 32:46Speaker 1: out of the car and I go. So that's anow
- 32:48Speaker 1: one cuddling. That was funny. So were you guys banging
- 32:54Speaker 1: in the car and throws you out? Yeah, I'm assuming
- 32:57Speaker 1: we were. It seems like we were fucking while driving, right,
- 33:00Speaker 1: and and I don't know how that would work because
- 33:03Speaker 1: she was driving right and I have no my pants
- 33:07Speaker 1: are around my ankles, So I'm somehow having sex with
- 33:11Speaker 1: her while she's driving. Well you can, I mean it's possible.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Well I could have been been been doing other things,
- 33:19Speaker 1: but it's funnier to think if it was actual sex. Yeah,
- 33:22Speaker 1: I like the idea. Also, if I was doing other things,
- 33:25Speaker 1: why wouldn't my fans be around my ankles? So, um,
- 33:28Speaker 1: all I know is she skids out, throws me out
- 33:31Speaker 1: of the car, I land in my boxers in front
- 33:34Speaker 1: of my job. I land in my boxers, I don't
- 33:37Speaker 1: think I have a shirt on, and I go. So
- 33:39Speaker 1: that's a no uncuddling. Now, wait a second, what was
- 33:45Speaker 1: JD using vadges sil for? Why does JD use vaga
- 33:49Speaker 1: sil on his body? And by the way, why does
- 33:52Speaker 1: Sarah say you smell like vage silk? Yeah, which would
- 33:57Speaker 1: imply that Elliott has a deep relationship with vadgisil. Oh
- 34:05Speaker 1: my god, that's funny. I don't know. But JD, who's
- 34:07Speaker 1: a doctor by the way, a very skilled doctor, we've
- 34:09Speaker 1: learned after four years, decides to put vagicil on his
- 34:13Speaker 1: sore muscles. I don't understand the meaning. What is the point.
- 34:20Speaker 1: It's the cheapest, stupidest joke, but I giggled. I laughed
- 34:24Speaker 1: at it too. Um what about wait? Wait, wait? What
- 34:27Speaker 1: about when we go? What about that whole um thing
- 34:31Speaker 1: of the sequence where Judy says I I still have
- 34:35Speaker 1: nightmares about you two getting married or something like that.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Where do we go? Where we go and you go?
- 34:41Speaker 1: You go Aspen and I go, Oh, I hope it's summer.
- 34:44Speaker 1: I'm not think a skier. That shit's hilarious. Way do
- 34:55Speaker 1: we go Aspen? Oh? I hope it's summer. Oh, I
- 35:01Speaker 1: hope it's summer. I'm not that good a skier like
- 35:03Speaker 1: I trail off like that. I'm not that could a ski.
- 35:09Speaker 1: Oh my god, I've been Aspen's Lovely in the summer.
- 35:11Speaker 1: I've never been. Oh man, well, I listen. I went
- 35:14Speaker 1: to uh Whistler in the summer where Sarah shot uh
- 35:20Speaker 1: that movie wherever Sarah was talking about Whistler and the
- 35:23Speaker 1: was it It wasn't snowing, let's put it that way. Yeah,
- 35:27Speaker 1: And it didn't get dark until like ten o'clock at night.
- 35:30Speaker 1: It seemed like, do you not have you never skied? No?
- 35:34Speaker 1: I don't. I don't. I don't do snow sports. I
- 35:37Speaker 1: think it would be fun to ski with you. You
- 35:38Speaker 1: know why? No, no, no, no, no, no no, because
- 35:41Speaker 1: you not only have a sport that I'm a smidge
- 35:43Speaker 1: in better than you have, and then you you take
- 35:44Speaker 1: one lesson and then be slalloming. Here. Here's what I
- 35:49Speaker 1: what I would like to do. I like things like
- 35:52Speaker 1: sledding and stuff like that. Skiing not so much. I
- 35:58Speaker 1: submit that you don't like it because you're so used
- 36:01Speaker 1: to being the best athlete in the group. If there's
- 36:04Speaker 1: something you don't know how to do, you're like, I
- 36:05Speaker 1: don't like that. Listen, I am far from the best
- 36:09Speaker 1: athlete in the group. Yes you are. You're the fust
- 36:12Speaker 1: in the group, and maybe not. Maybe you're in groups
- 36:15Speaker 1: where you're not. But in every group, I'm a lot
- 36:17Speaker 1: of groups where I'm not the best act I've never
- 36:19Speaker 1: been in a circle of people where you weren't the
- 36:22Speaker 1: best athlete. Okay, fine, I'll take that. I'll accept that,
- 36:25Speaker 1: received and accepted. My point is, listen, I don't do
- 36:30Speaker 1: well in cold weather at all. I remember, I just
- 36:35Speaker 1: don't to the fear of getting stranded on a mountain
- 36:39Speaker 1: scares the shit out. And you're gonna be on a
- 36:40Speaker 1: bunny slope when you're learning to a resort, and you'll
- 36:43Speaker 1: get hot cocoa. It's not even that high, by the way.
- 36:48Speaker 1: You like, Yeah, you'd be on the bunny slope and
- 36:49Speaker 1: you wouldn't be getting lost in the woods and anyway,
- 36:52Speaker 1: the one skiing is so fun, but it's also the
- 36:56Speaker 1: whole atmosphere of the fireplaces in the hot sub and
- 36:58Speaker 1: the ski movies. You never see black people, Joel, when
- 37:01Speaker 1: did you learn to ski? You're from Chicago. I guess
- 37:03Speaker 1: they scared Chicago. Is that what they all do well?
- 37:05Speaker 1: Michigan is right there, and they've got all the little slopes.
- 37:09Speaker 1: You know, they're not big, but you can definitely ski
- 37:12Speaker 1: down them and it's a lot of fun. And my
- 37:14Speaker 1: mother whiskiing like for him when she was in I
- 37:16Speaker 1: think like high school, a grade school, whole family. You
- 37:18Speaker 1: can literally take like Donald, you're so athletic that you
- 37:21Speaker 1: you go out with a pro and like after two
- 37:24Speaker 1: hours you'd be fine on like the simple slopes and
- 37:27Speaker 1: love it. I just worry about breaking something. Yeah, well
- 37:30Speaker 1: that's that's different. That's different. Pizza, French fries, these resort hills,
- 37:34Speaker 1: I promise you yeah, and then uh and then uh
- 37:37Speaker 1: and then it's so fun. Then you get a drink
- 37:39Speaker 1: and you get in the hot tub and it's awesome.
- 37:41Speaker 1: All right, let's talk more about the television show Scrubs.
- 37:44Speaker 1: Um flop sweat ted banging his head on the table. Okay,
- 37:49Speaker 1: I mean that is just Sam Lloyd hitting that table
- 37:54Speaker 1: and he did it. Thunders applause down and he did it.
- 37:56Speaker 1: And he did it too. That Bill was talking about
- 38:00Speaker 1: where they where he made this happen over and over
- 38:05Speaker 1: and over again. They were like, do you want to
- 38:07Speaker 1: pad like this was? This was? This was? I want
- 38:10Speaker 1: Bill to tell the story? Can we ask Bill to
- 38:11Speaker 1: tell the story? Ahead, asked Bill, Bill will you please
- 38:15Speaker 1: tell the flop sweat story, the Sam Lloyd flop sweat
- 38:19Speaker 1: story one again. Hitting the table, tell us, tell us
- 38:22Speaker 1: about this. It's one of the funniest physical comedy beats
- 38:24Speaker 1: in the four Seasons, and I mean Sam executed it
- 38:29Speaker 1: so flawlessly. What do you remember about that moment? And
- 38:33Speaker 1: was that planned or did you guys come up with
- 38:35Speaker 1: that on the or I guess I was in the room.
- 38:37Speaker 1: Did we all come up with that on the day.
- 38:39Speaker 1: I just know that Sam sold the shit out of that.
- 38:42Speaker 1: And it looks like he hits his head. It looks
- 38:44Speaker 1: like he banks his head very hard on that. I
- 38:47Speaker 1: think he bangs it. But he must be. I'm guessing
- 38:49Speaker 1: he must in honor to fuck himself up. He must
- 38:52Speaker 1: be racing with one hand and hitting hard with the
- 38:56Speaker 1: I don't I don't know exactly know how he does it,
- 38:58Speaker 1: but it's amazing, amazing because he had to do that
- 39:00Speaker 1: over and over again, and if he's really hitting the
- 39:03Speaker 1: table hard, he would have fucked up his face. But
- 39:04Speaker 1: I think he he sells the shit out of it.
- 39:07Speaker 1: That's all I'm gonna say. Also, the cut of his
- 39:09Speaker 1: hand sliding helps. But if the dude did the fucking
- 39:12Speaker 1: stunt and it's hilarious. Hey guys, welcome to my podcast.
- 39:17Speaker 1: Within my other podcast, m Richard Kine. Episode was funny man,
- 39:23Speaker 1: they'll call I am aware, Yes, um, Sam Lloyd ah
- 39:29Speaker 1: talking about him. Man, it hurts my heart. I missed
- 39:31Speaker 1: that guy, so funny and so talented. Now here is
- 39:36Speaker 1: the issue. What we wanted Sam to do U, you know,
- 39:40Speaker 1: was kind of have his hand slide and hit something there,
- 39:43Speaker 1: and we weren't really prepped for any kind of big
- 39:46Speaker 1: stunt and so there's nothing to no way to fake it.
- 39:50Speaker 1: You know. We were thinking about can we shoot it backwards?
- 39:52Speaker 1: Do we because we didn't want to cut away, and
- 39:56Speaker 1: Sam was like, I'm just gonna go for it. And
- 39:59Speaker 1: I think it is is one of the best pratfalls
- 40:03Speaker 1: of all time, not just because of how hard he
- 40:05Speaker 1: slams his head for real on the table, but because
- 40:08Speaker 1: then when he comes back up, he kind of has
- 40:11Speaker 1: dead eyes, you know what I mean, and you can
- 40:14Speaker 1: see that his bell's rung before he just kind of
- 40:16Speaker 1: slides off and neither Donald nor can really reacts. It's
- 40:19Speaker 1: just one of the all time best pieces of physical
- 40:23Speaker 1: comedy I've ever been involved in. Sam. We miss you,
- 40:27Speaker 1: We love you. Oh miss you guys, love you guys. Bye.
- 40:31Speaker 1: There was a commercial that had a similar gag, and
- 40:34Speaker 1: I would laugh every time I saw it. I don't
- 40:36Speaker 1: know that commercial. A guy, a guy hitting his head
- 40:40Speaker 1: on a table. It's just amazing how the right timing
- 40:45Speaker 1: in a physical comedy joke is the difference between going
- 40:47Speaker 1: huh and full laugh out loud, and the timing is
- 40:51Speaker 1: so perfect at this that you fucking I wrote, you know,
- 40:54Speaker 1: I wrote LLL. I laughed out loud. It was so funny.
- 40:57Speaker 1: I have a question. So after this, when Turk says
- 41:01Speaker 1: to Richard Kind's character, you know, you think I'm a
- 41:06Speaker 1: bad surgeon, He's like, I don't think you're a bad surgeon.
- 41:09Speaker 1: I think you're a great surgeon. As a matter of fact,
- 41:12Speaker 1: I have a circumcision coming up, not for me, not
- 41:15Speaker 1: for whatever it's for. I've been talking for my rabbi
- 41:18Speaker 1: about it, about getting circumcised, you know, for the ladies. Okay,
- 41:21Speaker 1: I have to ask a question. Does he expect Turk
- 41:26Speaker 1: to cut his penis for him? Yes? I think that
- 41:28Speaker 1: For some reason, I think it's safe to assume that
- 41:32Speaker 1: Harvey Corman Richard Kind is a Jewish man and for
- 41:36Speaker 1: some reason he has not been circumcised, and so he's yes,
- 41:42Speaker 1: how is that possible? How is that possible? First of all, well,
- 41:46Speaker 1: not any Jewish men that aren't circumcised. I don't, But
- 41:49Speaker 1: you know, circumcision with a lot of people's a giant
- 41:52Speaker 1: conversation and falling out of societal norms in a lot
- 41:57Speaker 1: of ways. It's become quite controversial. Um So, I'm sure
- 42:01Speaker 1: there are some parents who are Jewish and not religious
- 42:07Speaker 1: who were like, I'm not fucking doing that to my kid.
- 42:10Speaker 1: Um So, yeah, I guess we assume that his parents
- 42:14Speaker 1: decided not to circumcise him, or for all I know,
- 42:16Speaker 1: he's maybe the character isn't Jewish. He just seems so
- 42:19Speaker 1: like cartooniously Jewish New Yorker. But you and you and
- 42:23Speaker 1: Juliana Margarete, you guys got kind of close making this show.
- 42:27Speaker 1: Do you have? Was this? Was this? It? Were you
- 42:29Speaker 1: single at the time? Was she single at the time?
- 42:32Speaker 1: Like you, guys, I'm not saying you got like your
- 42:34Speaker 1: heat seems very real in a comedy way. But I
- 42:40Speaker 1: don't know it. Just I don't, I don't, I don't,
- 42:41Speaker 1: I don't know it. Just I remember watching this and
- 42:43Speaker 1: being like damn, okay, Zach, I see you. Are you
- 42:46Speaker 1: asking if we smashed Donald? No, I'm not asking you
- 42:49Speaker 1: if you smashed that is not That is not what
- 42:51Speaker 1: I'm asking. I would not be in the first no
- 42:54Speaker 1: what not. But in the first episode, you guys tongue kissed,
- 42:56Speaker 1: and this episode, you guys are always you know, got
- 43:00Speaker 1: a little heat go. My point is, you guys got
- 43:02Speaker 1: a little heat going on. We had good chemistry. Yeah, No,
- 43:04Speaker 1: I think we were both seeing other people at the time,
- 43:06Speaker 1: so there was no h after hours hanky panky. But
- 43:09Speaker 1: I really enjoyed her, and I did think that we
- 43:11Speaker 1: had good chemistry and she's really cool. We had I
- 43:14Speaker 1: had dinner with her and a couple other people, um
- 43:17Speaker 1: one time, and she's she's a she's a really cool
- 43:20Speaker 1: check phenomenal actress. Do you remember she turned down like
- 43:23Speaker 1: the most at the time, she turned down like the
- 43:26Speaker 1: most insane paycheck ever on ear because she was over it,
- 43:31Speaker 1: you know. But she went on to do The Good Wife,
- 43:34Speaker 1: and you know, she's had an amazing career. But I mean,
- 43:37Speaker 1: most actors wouldn't walk away have the strength to walk
- 43:41Speaker 1: away from what she walked away from on EAR like
- 43:44Speaker 1: she would have been. She would have been the most
- 43:46Speaker 1: paid person on televising through her Like, I don't know, Joel,
- 43:49Speaker 1: can you look at what it was? It was something
- 43:50Speaker 1: it was something like twenty seven million and twenty seven
- 43:55Speaker 1: million for four years or something twenty seven million for one.
- 43:59Speaker 1: Joel's gonna look it up. All I remember is that
- 44:01Speaker 1: everyone in the industry was like, holy shit, she's actually
- 44:05Speaker 1: turned I mean, good for her, she's turning it down
- 44:07Speaker 1: to go do what she really wants to do. She
- 44:09Speaker 1: can't be bought. Everybody else was like I'm available right well,
- 44:14Speaker 1: and but that's when Er started changing its cast, really,
- 44:17Speaker 1: you know what I mean. After that, everything started to
- 44:20Speaker 1: change with well, that's what Bill, you know. I think
- 44:22Speaker 1: what Bill aspired to do we never even talked about this,
- 44:26Speaker 1: but I think what he aspired to do with the
- 44:28Speaker 1: ninth season of Scrubs was say, no, this isn't Scrubs anymore.
- 44:33Speaker 1: This is Scrubs med school quote unquote or whatever, and
- 44:36Speaker 1: then hopefully be able to keep it going like Gray's
- 44:39Speaker 1: Anatomy and Er have done by rotating in new cast members,
- 44:46Speaker 1: you know. And it was a valiant effort that didn't
- 44:47Speaker 1: really take off, but that was his that was his
- 44:50Speaker 1: that's what he aspired to do. I do. I thought
- 44:56Speaker 1: that would have been a I thought listen. I have
- 44:58Speaker 1: yet to watch season nine since we shot it, so
- 45:00Speaker 1: I don't know what. I'm very excited to get there
- 45:03Speaker 1: and see what it's gonna be like. But so far,
- 45:09Speaker 1: I don't know if you could replace Churt jd Elliott.
- 45:11Speaker 1: So far, it's just interesting. The Coxe, it was the magic.
- 45:16Speaker 1: It's funny, though, it is interesting to note that a
- 45:20Speaker 1: show like both Er and Gray's Anatomy, I mean, I coincidentally,
- 45:26Speaker 1: perhaps they're both hospital shows. I don't know, but they've
- 45:29Speaker 1: been able to do it. Now. I don't know if
- 45:31Speaker 1: a comedy has ever successfully done that. Can you? Can
- 45:34Speaker 1: you think of one like altering the cast, Joel, you're
- 45:37Speaker 1: a pop culture expert. Just a completely new cast was well,
- 45:42Speaker 1: they were overlaps obviously with you and Sarah. But I
- 45:45Speaker 1: would say Saved by the Bell is the closest thing
- 45:48Speaker 1: where literally the kids graduated and a new class would
- 45:52Speaker 1: come in. And they did that quite a few times. Actually, Okay,
- 45:56Speaker 1: and then what about did Facts of Life have new Girls?
- 46:00Speaker 1: Facts of Life did the exact same thing. They had
- 46:02Speaker 1: new girls also, Yeah, and they not only did they
- 46:05Speaker 1: have new not only did they have like Missus Garrett
- 46:08Speaker 1: left and there was a new caretaker. Missus Garrett got
- 46:10Speaker 1: her own show. Oh sorry, Garrett left different strokes to
- 46:14Speaker 1: get her own show, right, But then she leaves fact
- 46:17Speaker 1: She left Facts of Life too. She wasn't on Facts
- 46:19Speaker 1: of Life very long either. Somebody else came in on
- 46:21Speaker 1: Facts of Life. Oh really, I like the Missus Garrett years.
- 46:25Speaker 1: Well those are the those are those are the best years.
- 46:27Speaker 1: But I saw on the internet there was an episode
- 46:29Speaker 1: I never I remember this, but there was an episode
- 46:32Speaker 1: of Facts of Life where a young prostitute tries to
- 46:35Speaker 1: lure Tuty to become a prostitute. Do you remember that?
- 46:38Speaker 1: Gotta watch that episode? And now I've never seen it.
- 46:42Speaker 1: How did that happen? How? Because you know, was always
- 46:46Speaker 1: Facts of Life was, and you know all those shows,
- 46:48Speaker 1: you know, you know, some more than others, obviously, but
- 46:51Speaker 1: some were trying to take on big social issues of
- 46:53Speaker 1: the time and in a dramatic way. And I just
- 46:57Speaker 1: I don't even remember this episode, but I saw someone
- 47:00Speaker 1: was like, you know, you see sh on the internet
- 47:02Speaker 1: and they're like, is it just me? Or was there
- 47:04Speaker 1: really an episode where a young prostitute tried to lure
- 47:07Speaker 1: Tutti into prostitution. And I assume it was an episode
- 47:11Speaker 1: on like you know, um, you know, you know, you know,
- 47:16Speaker 1: young girls being forced into prostitution and trying to have
- 47:20Speaker 1: a public service announcement. But it's pretty surreal to think
- 47:22Speaker 1: that they try to recruit our Tuti. There's a time
- 47:26Speaker 1: you gotta grow and show you growing. Now, you know
- 47:30Speaker 1: when the boys used to hate your date date you
- 47:33Speaker 1: must investigate. Twenty seven million a season is what she
- 47:37Speaker 1: was offered twenties told you you don't forget that was fast.
- 47:42Speaker 1: That was fast. Season three, episode eighteen of Facts of
- 47:46Speaker 1: Life called the Runaway. If you are if you think
- 47:50Speaker 1: I'm lying, Joel founded for you, go find that episode
- 47:54Speaker 1: two Twoti's not even in high school yet. By this point,
- 47:57Speaker 1: she's not even in high school yet. I don't even
- 47:59Speaker 1: know what happened. I just know that Tutti runs away,
- 48:02Speaker 1: and um, and I know what happens. He goes on
- 48:05Speaker 1: an unsupervised trip to New York to see a Broadway
- 48:08Speaker 1: show that'll get that'll turn you in to prostitution. Every time.
- 48:13Speaker 1: She probably got off at port authority. Yeah, did you
- 48:16Speaker 1: think how many parents were like, see, that's what happens
- 48:18Speaker 1: when you go to see Broadway. Oh my god, what's this?
- 48:25Speaker 1: What's the plot line? Okay, So her parents refused to
- 48:27Speaker 1: give her permission, so she sneaks out to travel to
- 48:30Speaker 1: the city on her own, playing to me her classmates
- 48:33Speaker 1: at the theater. Unfortunately, the show they wanted to see
- 48:35Speaker 1: is sold out, and the other girls wander off, leading
- 48:38Speaker 1: Tutti by herself in Times Square at a coffee shop
- 48:41Speaker 1: after her wallet and coat are stolen on the subway platform.
- 48:45Speaker 1: We're gonna do a rewatch of this episode. The world
- 48:48Speaker 1: never seems to believe. Yeah, the world was not living
- 48:53Speaker 1: up to Tutt's dreams. Um, suddenly, let's do a rewatch
- 49:01Speaker 1: episode of just the episode where Twoti's lured into prostitution.
- 49:04Speaker 1: I would love to watch that episode. Okay, you know,
- 49:07Speaker 1: but we joke around, but you know, you know, this
- 49:11Speaker 1: is a serious subject in America, of course it is.
- 49:15Speaker 1: But we can laugh about tut Joel, Aren't we allowed
- 49:18Speaker 1: to laugh about Tutti? Listen? We can always laugh at
- 49:20Speaker 1: a good eighty sitcom. Okay, they're an incredibly laughfulf I
- 49:24Speaker 1: have to check in with Joel if we're allowed to
- 49:26Speaker 1: laugh about an eighties sitcom episode. We are all right,
- 49:29Speaker 1: we have the it's the caller here, we'll go to break.
- 49:31Speaker 1: We'll go to break and when we come back, we'll
- 49:34Speaker 1: be right back with the call bye, and we're bad act.
- 49:44Speaker 1: I gotta give you guys one recommendation because I like
- 49:46Speaker 1: to give you my weekly um thing that flow and
- 49:49Speaker 1: I found on TV and there's a show on HBO
- 49:54Speaker 1: Max called The Bridge. It's a reality competition. The contestants
- 50:02Speaker 1: have to build a bridge that's that's like four hundred
- 50:08Speaker 1: feet long in order to get the prize. And they're
- 50:12Speaker 1: on an island and they have no skill sets for
- 50:15Speaker 1: building a bridge, and it's amazing. I'm telling you, it's better.
- 50:21Speaker 1: It's a reality show, but it's better than like a
- 50:22Speaker 1: network reality show because it's HBO. They did a great
- 50:25Speaker 1: job of it. Go ahead, dude, they build the bridge.
- 50:28Speaker 1: By the end of the You probably said this and
- 50:30Speaker 1: I wasn't paying attention. Is it one episode to build
- 50:32Speaker 1: a bridge? No, it's the whole, the whole, the whole season,
- 50:34Speaker 1: which I think is ten or twelve episodes. Well, because
- 50:37Speaker 1: there's all sorts of shit without spoilers, I'm gonna tell
- 50:40Speaker 1: you they do shit like they these people all have
- 50:43Speaker 1: to get long and they have it's not like any
- 50:44Speaker 1: of them are engineers. You know. There's some books they have.
- 50:47Speaker 1: They have a shack that they all live in collectively,
- 50:49Speaker 1: one big bunkhouse, and there's some books on bridge building.
- 50:53Speaker 1: But that's it. And obviously no internet, no nothing. They
- 50:56Speaker 1: have to cook their own food, they have to survive
- 50:59Speaker 1: on the island. But also to get one hundred thousand
- 51:02Speaker 1: dollars prize money, they have to figure out how to
- 51:05Speaker 1: build a bridge. And then they do this shady ship
- 51:09Speaker 1: where they're like they'll pick people off and be like
- 51:12Speaker 1: you can leave now for ten thousand dollars, and then
- 51:15Speaker 1: the person will get off and they'll be like they'll
- 51:16Speaker 1: get on the boat like fuck it, I'm out of here.
- 51:18Speaker 1: And then they'll be like privately to that person to
- 51:21Speaker 1: be like, you can only have the ten thousand dollars
- 51:23Speaker 1: if you destroy one hundred feet of the bridge's progress,
- 51:28Speaker 1: and they have to sit there and go, am I
- 51:30Speaker 1: gonna fuck over all these people and take my ten
- 51:33Speaker 1: grand or fuck that bridge, shoe, fuck that bridge, Joe. Yeah,
- 51:39Speaker 1: you go St James on that bridge, you go straight
- 51:42Speaker 1: brick James on that bridge. Fuck yo, Bridge, yo bridge.
- 51:48Speaker 1: I'm telling you it is so entertaining. I'm recommending it's
- 51:51Speaker 1: all my family and friends and all of you my friends.
- 51:54Speaker 1: It's so entertaining, all right. You know when you know
- 51:56Speaker 1: when it shows over and you're like, we've got no more.
- 51:59Speaker 1: That's how we felt. It was so good, okay um,
- 52:03Speaker 1: And of course they do all that reality show heartwarming
- 52:05Speaker 1: stuff where you just start crying. That's how I'm gonna
- 52:07Speaker 1: feel on Friday. Why yeah, oh really yeah, I didn't like.
- 52:15Speaker 1: I gotta say, don't hate me. But the second day,
- 52:18Speaker 1: this last episode, where there was no more TV spoofing
- 52:21Speaker 1: and just full on superhero shit, I was like, huh,
- 52:24Speaker 1: well that's because you can't recognize the Easter eggs now.
- 52:26Speaker 1: The Easter eggs are all still there and you just
- 52:28Speaker 1: gotta see it. I know. But I found what was
- 52:30Speaker 1: so fun about the show was the incredibly out of
- 52:34Speaker 1: the box TV spoofing, and now that that was gone,
- 52:39Speaker 1: sorry spoilers, I was a little like, oh, you didn't
- 52:41Speaker 1: like you didn't like the way they explained it, you
- 52:44Speaker 1: didn't like any of that, Well, because that's not what
- 52:46Speaker 1: he came here for. But I think that's what the
- 52:48Speaker 1: genius of the show is, Like that exactly what was
- 52:50Speaker 1: being delivered, right, No, I mean like in that Disney
- 52:53Speaker 1: has found a way to be like they tapped into
- 52:55Speaker 1: so many people who are like I'll never watch Marvel movie.
- 52:57Speaker 1: I don't care about superheroes, but I really like this show.
- 53:00Speaker 1: But now you could just walk away from it and
- 53:02Speaker 1: be like, wow, that was like a good what six
- 53:04Speaker 1: episodes you got with stuff and then we can go
- 53:07Speaker 1: and now this next part will lead me into the
- 53:09Speaker 1: next like superhero part that right, right, all the humor,
- 53:13Speaker 1: all the humor and cheeky wink wink cleverness was gone.
- 53:18Speaker 1: Now it was just superheroes fighting. No, it was a woman.
- 53:23Speaker 1: Hasn't there hasn't been a superhero fight yet. There hasn't.
- 53:27Speaker 1: All your hat, there hasn't been a superhero fight yet.
- 53:29Speaker 1: You guys missed it. I was doing my visual throwing
- 53:32Speaker 1: throwing lightning bolts face x witch hands are perfect, which
- 53:35Speaker 1: is magic at us. Yeah, if you guys fucking want
- 53:38Speaker 1: to see my witch hands, I'll bring him to the
- 53:40Speaker 1: live show. Great should be bring the guest in. Oh
- 53:43Speaker 1: yes to Daniel GORDONI oh, give it up, but Daniel
- 53:54Speaker 1: guard Danny Hi, Daniel, Daniel, Daniel Gordonni, welcome to the
- 53:59Speaker 1: pro Ram. Thanks very much, thanks for having met his
- 54:03Speaker 1: white board in the background. You got a big white
- 54:05Speaker 1: board there, you got tats. You know, usually we we
- 54:08Speaker 1: we assess the background to see what your interests are.
- 54:11Speaker 1: So far we just know whiteboards and tattoos. Yeah, that
- 54:14Speaker 1: was mainly my interests. Those are my two hobbies. Yeah, um,
- 54:20Speaker 1: where are you calling from. I'm actually calling from Sweden?
- 54:24Speaker 1: Oh tak talk Yeah, I see what other Sweden I know?
- 54:29Speaker 1: I know. Isn't cuteie noose? Yeah, actually it is. Yeah yeah,
- 54:36Speaker 1: And you guys repeat everything twice. There's a lot of
- 54:38Speaker 1: like hi, Hi, Yeah exactly. It's quite annoying. I love it.
- 54:43Speaker 1: I've been in Stockholm a few times and it's such
- 54:46Speaker 1: an amazing city. I love it there. Yeah. Unfortunately it's
- 54:48Speaker 1: cold and dark every single hour after day. Right, so
- 54:51Speaker 1: this is the season when you guys are in like
- 54:53Speaker 1: full darkness, right. Yeah. I just say this on twice
- 54:56Speaker 1: this year. So explain to people like me who explained
- 55:00Speaker 1: to our listeners. Explain to our listeners. How long does
- 55:04Speaker 1: the period go where it's just always dark? Well, it differs,
- 55:08Speaker 1: but nowadays it seems like it starts from early on
- 55:12Speaker 1: in November to late on in February, early Mars. Then
- 55:16Speaker 1: there's some gleams of the sun. The summers are quite nice, actually,
- 55:20Speaker 1: and then in the summers the sun never goes away, right, yeah, exactly.
- 55:24Speaker 1: But since I lived by the coast, it rains almost
- 55:26Speaker 1: all the time, so it's not that great. I gotta
- 55:29Speaker 1: tell you, if the sun never came out, I would
- 55:31Speaker 1: fucking go shining on. I couldn't live there, I would
- 55:34Speaker 1: I would be like all work, no play, exactly, dull boy, exactly.
- 55:39Speaker 1: When I was a kid, I saw a movie. It
- 55:41Speaker 1: was a short and it was about these group of
- 55:43Speaker 1: kids who lived in the future when the sun and
- 55:46Speaker 1: the sun never came out. It came out maybe once
- 55:49Speaker 1: every year, and it was time for the sun to
- 55:53Speaker 1: come out, and they locked this girl in the closet
- 55:56Speaker 1: and the only way she could see the sun the
- 55:59Speaker 1: light creeps in from outside and through an under the
- 56:02Speaker 1: closet door for a little bit of time, and she
- 56:05Speaker 1: tries to touch the sun with her hands, you know,
- 56:08Speaker 1: on the floor, the light with her hands on the floor.
- 56:11Speaker 1: I imagine that's how it is for you, Han Daniel, Yeah, exactly.
- 56:15Speaker 1: You are starving for some light right now, for some sunlight.
- 56:18Speaker 1: You know how how's the vitamin D in Sweden? It's
- 56:22Speaker 1: like about this, Daniel, you probably have to take a
- 56:25Speaker 1: vitamin D supplement. That's right, we're diagnosing you with that
- 56:29Speaker 1: from fake doctor's real friends. You're welcome. Yeah, you're welcome.
- 56:32Speaker 1: By the way, Daniel, you could get one of those lights,
- 56:34Speaker 1: you know, the seasonal effective disorder lights. Do you have
- 56:37Speaker 1: one of those? You're probably order something. I'm telling you,
- 56:40Speaker 1: I really I don't know if it's a placebo or not. Again,
- 56:42Speaker 1: I'm a fake doctor, but I'm telling you I got
- 56:46Speaker 1: one of those when I was in I was doing
- 56:47Speaker 1: a play in London and it was like raining NonStop
- 56:50Speaker 1: and gray and I was just like, oh no, And
- 56:52Speaker 1: so I bought one of those lights. And I don't
- 56:54Speaker 1: know if I maybe it is a placebo. I think
- 56:57Speaker 1: there's some science to back it up. But I would
- 56:59Speaker 1: just sit by it in my dressing room and it
- 57:00Speaker 1: made me feel better. So that's what I would. That's
- 57:03Speaker 1: what I recommend you. Thanks. Do you have a question
- 57:06Speaker 1: for us, my friend? Yes, I actually have prepared two questions. Good. Um,
- 57:11Speaker 1: So my first one that's about Scrubs and mainly sees.
- 57:16Speaker 1: The Scrub is based on nine seasons. M So my
- 57:20Speaker 1: question is you too, is if you could change one
- 57:23Speaker 1: thing about the series throughout any season, what would I
- 57:27Speaker 1: be in terms of plots, storytelling, something about Jordan, your character?
- 57:33Speaker 1: I would change I would have made it so that
- 57:37Speaker 1: Turk and Carla get together season three or four, and
- 57:42Speaker 1: for one, two and three, Turk dates every actress in
- 57:47Speaker 1: Hollywood that comes on the show, like Jade. That's how
- 57:53Speaker 1: I would change it. Cally Berry, lord boy, he this
- 57:57Speaker 1: week King Like the list goes on and on, you know,
- 58:04Speaker 1: it just goes on. Um, So what why would I
- 58:07Speaker 1: want I want to change? Um? I think it would
- 58:09Speaker 1: have been great. I haven't thought of this question ever,
- 58:11Speaker 1: so kudos to you for a good question. I think
- 58:15Speaker 1: I think I could. It would have been interesting to
- 58:17Speaker 1: see JD actually face more heartbreak. You know, he's sort
- 58:20Speaker 1: of bizarrely this casanova who's you know. I know that
- 58:24Speaker 1: he's silly and funny and he's a doctor, so you know,
- 58:27Speaker 1: he's a decent and he's got a big heart, so
- 58:29Speaker 1: he's a good catch. But you know, he did a
- 58:32Speaker 1: lot of them dating and breaking up, and I think
- 58:35Speaker 1: it would have been interesting to see him get his
- 58:37Speaker 1: heart crushed. I mean, obviously there's a little bit with
- 58:39Speaker 1: Elliott and uh and the different men that she has,
- 58:44Speaker 1: but he always seems kind of okay with it. And
- 58:46Speaker 1: I think that heartbreak we've all been through, We've all
- 58:49Speaker 1: been on the side of it, like, oh, you don't
- 58:51Speaker 1: want to get a bed, you're fucking in pain, and
- 58:54Speaker 1: and some people get super depressed until they pull out
- 58:57Speaker 1: of it. And I don't think that's anything we ever
- 58:59Speaker 1: really cover that would have been good to cover, because
- 59:02Speaker 1: I think it's super relatable and and I think Bill
- 59:06Speaker 1: would have written it really really well, like when you're really,
- 59:09Speaker 1: really really suffering from from heartbreak nice. I agree. I
- 59:14Speaker 1: actually would like to see j Day gets struggle more
- 59:18Speaker 1: than he did in a series. Brout. Yeah, there's a
- 59:20Speaker 1: professional life or personal life. I agree. I agree, Um,
- 59:24Speaker 1: and it could have been obviously we would have been
- 59:26Speaker 1: Bill's mastery of making it traumatic and then funny. But
- 59:31Speaker 1: you know, I just think it's a it's it's just
- 59:34Speaker 1: a you know, it's such a human thing to go
- 59:36Speaker 1: through that a breakup and a painful one, and and
- 59:40Speaker 1: I just feel like JD was almost Teflon in a way.
- 59:43Speaker 1: He never really you know, he never really got two
- 59:46Speaker 1: down ever about any of these women. Now clearly part
- 59:49Speaker 1: of the story is that none of them matter to
- 59:51Speaker 1: him as much as Elliott. But even with Elliott, you know,
- 59:54Speaker 1: he's like fine with her, you know, I mean he
- 59:56Speaker 1: makes jokes about it, like nobody gives Sean but he
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: but you know, he's relatively fine with her dating. I
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: don't know, That's just what came in my mind. I
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: think I think that's all going to change when we
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: when we get later on. I think Keith and uh,
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: Sean definitely, I know, but there's never a moment, dude
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: where he's like, you know, like like like we've all
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: been like truly like depressed and and bummed out and
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: like I'm never gonna find anyone else, you know, he's
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: the narrator of the show. Would be really I think
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: it would be tough for anybody to watch the show
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: if that mixed in. Bro all right, Okay, sorry, sorry Daniel.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: Someone Daniel just wanted to see your ass suffer. He's like,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: I just wanted Jade. Daniel's like, why is there no
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: s and m scene? Um, all right, Daniel, those Swedes.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: They're crazy, all right, Daniel, go ahead, another one, another question. Yes,
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: So unfortunately Monday Ruins runs the world nowadays. So my
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: question is to you, what would you do with unlimited funds?
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: Meaning what would you do with unlimited resources us as
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: people are on the show? Yeah, people, what would Donald
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: do with unlimited resources? He'd have like a fucking head.
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: First of all, he would have an unlimited O. No,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: with unlimited resources, I try and give back to the
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: earth first, right, try to get back to society first.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: If you have unlimited resources, what are you talking, right?
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: I think he doesn't want to hear about your fucking philanthropy.
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: He's playing a game with you, Like if you had
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: endless amount of money, what would you do with your life? Yes,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: we know that you'd be charied. Oh okay, so and
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: then after after you've saved the world, I would build
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: a giant biodome. Oh and I would and like the movie, yeah,
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: but it would be gigantic like huge, like huge, and
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: I'd build anything and everything I wanted in it. And
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: I would isolate myself from the rest of the world
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: because in a few years, global warming is gonna take
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: over and we're all gonna be underwater anyway. But my
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: biodome No, your biodomey waterproof. I take it, like absolutely right.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: My biodome would then become atlantis. I don't got it. Well,
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: I don't know I can top a gargantuan biodome um
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: that becomes atlantis, especially if I can't use all of
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: this money for philanthropy. I get because I could solve
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: all of that with one stroke of the pen. The
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: game is not fun if you're like, I give it
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: all the charity. No, the game is like what would
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: you fucking daydream in your brain? If you were Elon
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: musk Er, I would build a biodome slash arc. The
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: biodome is able to float when the no. No, not
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: just float, it also can submerge. It oh submuge. And
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: not only could it submerge, but it can also fly.
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: At some point it can hover in the sky like
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: the Avengers hellapad. I similarly, similarly, I believe, if I'm
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: not mistaken, Larry Ellison, who founded Oracle, has like the
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: biggest ultramega yacht in the world, and it's got like
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: submarines and helicopter pads and like, you know, the most
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: badass yacht in the world like your own. I would
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: love to have that. I'll take that. Yeah, if you
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: could survive the wave, you know what I mean, I'll
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: come visit you in your in your underwater biodome. Take
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: my submarine down to your fucking biodome. It's the way.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: It's either gonna be wave or a heat or heat
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: one or the other. Or ice, wave, heat or ice.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: What's another way the earth can end? We're going through
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: plague right now, lava famine, that's heat famine. Yeah. Um
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: you know. You know what else is happening nowadays is
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: that the birth rate is going down. You remember when
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: we were fucking no one's fucking remember when we were
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: depressed were kids, when our parents were kids. They were
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: so worried about the earth in the future of being
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: apocalyptic because we would have so much, so many people,
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: we'd be overpopulated. That didn't happen. Well, I mean I
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: think the population is still umlo, hold on, we're not
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: even let Daniel school you because population is problem. Hold on,
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: hold on, we're not even We're not even doubling our
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: So like if a fan, if a household is two people,
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: one person is being produced out of that household where
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: it's back in the nineteen fifties five. But that might
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: just be North America. I don't think that's globally. I
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: think I'm talking about him. I'm talking about America. Yes,
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: I don't know, Daniel, Well, we educate us. Why why
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: why is the declining what I think is American birthrate
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: a problem? If? If overpopulation is such a concern globally, Uh,
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: I think it's. I mean, it's too all right to
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: be honest with you. I don't have a spectacular answer here.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: If you don't know, don't answer. But I just thought
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: you might know because you're so knowledgeable. Okay, that's very
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: kind of you. I mean, like, do I honor you, sir?
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: You certainly do. I mean overall, I mean, overpopulation is
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: already an issue. We're already taking more from the Earth
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: than we're putting back at all. Whether that's a climate
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: thing that we try and fix, our environmental paris climate
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: accord kind of issue that we can approach together. We
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: are still overfishing our oceans. We're still like you know,
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: we are eliminating the bee population. We are ruining our
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: opportunities to create more food for the amount of people
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: we have on the earth already. I think the declaring
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: the rainforest, rainforest all gone. There's so many there's a
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: lot of problems right now. I think. I think the
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: over I think the you know, we don't want a
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: children of men's situation where we stop having babies so
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: much that we don't have any we don't have a
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: next generation anymore. But that's not necessarily because of like
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: a disease. It's a million things. It's like a money issue,
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: it's a it's a but why This is my dumb
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: question that I'm sure someone listening knows the answer to
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: and is screaming at their phone. And I'm sorry, I
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: don't know the answer. But why if overpopulation is such
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: a big deal, why is our birth rate in the
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: US going down a bad thing? I got that if
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: we can look to Japan, who has last generation saw
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: a large decline in babies. Um, you then have an
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: older population without a younger population to support them. So
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: you have the system right, right, And then but then
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: you also have well, there's less workers, right, So we've
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: developed a system that requires x amount of workers to
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: reduced x amount of dollars to keep our economy going.
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: And you have less workers and an aging population that
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: cannot be supported. That a lot of issues for the economy.
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: That's that's the best way to put it. Joel, you
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: saw the same new because your answer was so much
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: more lucid than Daniels. I'm cutting mine, No, don't cut yours.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: I think the audience sneeds to see that you can
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: be foiled. I certainly don't know everything. That's why it's
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: bull if you if you edit the show, you can
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: be like, I don't like the way I sounded there.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: I'm taking no. I'll keep no. Daniel, do you ever, Daniel,
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: do you ever go back and like rerecord a more
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: articulate answer that would be back? Yeah, you guys, I
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: definitely would. Oh my god, if I would be like, wait,
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: I don't like what I said, let me yes, you know, Daniel.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: You know, Daniel's up late one night, like, let me
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: rewrite that answer. I got too many beats to make
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: for Donald to worry about re saying something I said
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: on the show. All right, Ali, listen, it's time for
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: Sweden's favorite segment. Daniel, it's time to fix your life.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: Thank you? All right? How can we help your life?
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: We cannot bring the sun to you, I'm sorry, I
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: did already fix your life. I did already fix your
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: life by telling you to buy one of those seasonal
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: effective disorder lamps on amazonic. We'll do go ahead. So
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: this is a more advice my life as Joel. I know,
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: I'm a medical student, so that means I'm about to
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: become a doctor into ulations. But growing up being a
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: doctor wasn't my main goal. I actually started thinking about
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: a more universal idea of healthcare. I've been traveling a
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: lot during my short period of lifetime, and I've seeing
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: many poverties around the world, and unfortunately in well, in Sweden,
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: we have three universal healthcare, so that's quite nice for us,
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: but mostly in a way you go, there isn't and
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: just basic healthcare isn't provided to most of children, adults
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: and many people around the world, and that's a huge
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: problem and mostly unfortunately people are capitalizing on this, and
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: that's a huge bomber. So I came up with a
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: plan or an I date to start my own organization
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: quite similar to Doctors Without Borders, but in a more modern,
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: nuanced way, focusing on these basicle primary care, not like
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: because doctor's outboards and mostly specialized care in traumatized areas.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: So my idea for my organization or the charity organized
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: I wanted to develop is a more healthcare center throughout
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: these you developed countries, which is more focused on developing
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: or offering free healthcare in the most basic ways and
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: being supported by mostly buying medical students. Because throughout my
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: education as I have observed that many med students are
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: eager to go out to the world to help people.
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: And that's very hard to do nowadays, of course because
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: of the pandemic, but before also because it's very strictly regulated,
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: you can't really go anywhere to help people in a
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: way you can as a medical student as you're um
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: as you can because of this hard strict regulation and
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: the short periods that you can go, for example, in
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: the summers, there's many very few programs that let you
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: go on the summer to like volunteer somewhere. And I'm
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: so you're saying you want to develop a chair. He
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: wants to, Yeah, he wants to get students way more involved. Yeah.
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: When men's students are off for example the summer, and
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: they have and they have they have a lot of
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: knowledge and a lot of drive and a lot of
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: motivation and they want to go help people, but there's
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: no system that allows them to do that, is what
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: you're saying exactly, because it's a win win situation because
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: medical students in the late years are very competent, actually
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: very competent especial especially for these basic health Yeah, you're
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: not talking about doing certain help. Yeah, because it's a
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: trend nowadays to help people. Everyone wants to go to
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: a poverty country and help people, to volunteer. It's it's
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: more starting to act like a trend by the youth.
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: And that's like a win win situation for people. Alsone
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: wants to boast their resumes for the future and to
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: go to volunteer like this is also a huge boast
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: to getting jobs in the future. So it's like a
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: win win situation. But all this kind of structuring and
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: organization that takes money, and money doesn't come for free.
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: It's so, do you have a plan in play? I mean,
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: it seems to me again this is an area I
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: know nothing about, but that if you you're very articulate,
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: if you can, if you can really refine the plan
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: and and and and then put up a website that
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: will articulate the plan. You can start to build momentum
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: and get your message out there, and once it seems
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: legit and you can prove that it's legit, that will
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: attract potential charitable donations. Yeah, exactly. The ideas like to
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: develop healthcare centers that are placed throughout the world in
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: place that are needed is basic care of help. And
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: then to start off with some kind of donation model
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: that I've been thinking about and writing down. Of course,
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: to help the foundation going by getting voluntarily a donation
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: from the people. So my advice that I need from
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: you is how do I get started? Because I'm just
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: an oriented guy from a small country in Sweden, so
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: I don't have this kind of resources that I can contact,
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: like a public figure to get help or to get
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: cloud or to get like my name dropped, or the
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: organization the healthy. First thing, the first thing that comes
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: to my mind if if you were if you were
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: sitting next to me and you're my friend and you're like,
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: got any ideas kind of like you are, I would
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: say that you're very articulate and passionate about this. I
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: would make I would first of all, create a website,
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: and you can do that you know, very inexpensively, and
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: that I would make a really concise video, like maybe
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: a two minute pitch max where you explain this. And
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: you can have a friend, if you have a friend
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: who's good at video editing or you know, you can
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: find someone who can help you cut it together and
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: really just right to the lens, like explain your pitch.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: And you know, I'm starting from scratch, but I'm passionate
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: about this. Please like and share, you know, maybe make
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: an Instagram account about it, because that's where everybody is
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: these days, and that will help to get you know,
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: you know, like anybody everything. If something's intriguing enough, it
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: will go. It can catch momentum, Joel, when you do this.
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: If and when you do this, Joel will put us,
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: We'll get us the video and will blast it out
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: on our social media. That that's the start. But I
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: think that you are so sincere and I think that
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: people will really respond to your message. You're saying like
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: this is the idea, especially if you're enrolling people and
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: saying I'm just starting I need your help, and this
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: is what you can do. If you have no money,
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: share this with your friends. If you've got five bucks,
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: put it towards this. If you've got one hundred grand
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: call me, you know, but whatever you do, something charming
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: and and and and rolling. That will get people, especially
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: your fellow med students, who are going to be interested
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: in this. They'll start sharing it and and telling other
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: people about it. Start with your community, so like, if yousolutely,
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: if you've got six great med school friends, like, start
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: with that. That's only going to grow from there. Because
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: when you start, when you like, make this legitimate by
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: by really thinking about making making a website where everything's
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: super lucid and super clear, like it's impossible to misunderstand,
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: you know, simple it is better with the video shorter
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: is better. If you can do your pitch in one
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: minute great like make it so clear that no one
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: could misunderstand it, and then give them an action. The
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: action is if you can't afford to donate to if
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: you yeah, call to action. If you can't afford to donate,
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: I plead with you to help spread the words, share
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: of this with all your friends. If you can donate,
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: you know, you'll have to set up a way for
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: people to donate to the foundation. You know, all that
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: stuff which is way beyond my pay grade. But that's
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: another thing I would do. Get someone involved who knows
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: how to build foundations. They might not even be a
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: med school student. They might just be someone who's passionate
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: about about doing charitable work. And team up with that
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: person so you can handle the doctor aspect of it
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: and be the face of it and be the person
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: who's enrolling people. But also someone with an expertise in
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: building a charitable foundation could really help you and get
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: you a good lawyer. Also at the end of the day,
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: because you're dealing with something that is that is you know, healthcare, healthcare,
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: all types of service that when it comes to health services,
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: eventually something will go wrong. You need somebody to watch
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: your back. Well I'm not even I of course eventually
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: you need that, but I'm saying like you'll need a
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: lawyer to navigate all the laws that you'll be having
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: to nounce that too, that too, but you're also going
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: to need a lawyer to I mean who knows how
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: who knows what uh come, what legal issues will come
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: up ahead when you're starting something, so uh, when you're
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: starting an initiative like this, Yeah, the good news is
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: you'll have some time because you know because of the pandemic.
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: I think, you know, you'll have you can use this
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: year as a building year, because I don't think I mean,
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: as far as I can tell, no one's going to
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: be able to really be going to random countries this
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: year exactly. Um. But but you could think of this as,
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: oh my god, this is my this is a sign
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: from the universe, this is the building year. And then
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: in twenty twenty two, we're gonna fucking explode this thing.
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: You know. Yeah I was fine like that, but I
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: got a white board right behind you. And also what's
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: really moving to me is that you live in a
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: country where all your healthcare is taken care of, right
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: you don't. You don't ever, you don't would anyone in
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: Sweden would a citizen of Sweden ever pay for you know,
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: I'm sure cosmetic shit aside for a for a non
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: cosmetic anything medical, would they pay for anyone? Basically no.
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: The healthcare is really easy, very easy, accessible and also free.
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: That made me like open my eyes because I'm very
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: very fortunate to be here. Ye. Also it's the real
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: things I shouldn't be here at all. I mean, when
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: I go like three hours south, I see people that
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: are living in the street and not able to die
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: by basic infections that could be solved by a two
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: year medical student that could just give them something. It's
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: so amazing because, you know, one of the things that's
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: moving to me is that you're you're saying, I'm so
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: blessed to live in this country where healthcare is so
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: figured out that you just no matter who you are,
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: you don't pay a dime. And I want to take
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: my knowledge and go help people that aren't in the system.
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: That you're a really good human being. It just seems
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: to me that basic healthcare should be a human right,
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: not just a citizen right. It seems so wrong that
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: it should be like a political debate where or not
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: it should be a basic human right. Like I agree,
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: you know in this country, if you really in this country,
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: even if you have great insurance, um, if something tragic
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: happens to you, you'll you you'll go broke. Yeah, So
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: in that sense, I would just ask, if I may,
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: if Joel could post my email address at your links.
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: So if anyone listening to this are interesting or are
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: engaged in this as I am, could I need all
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: the help I can. I can't do this, so long.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: So that's great. Um, Joel will put your email in
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: the show comments, right, and make sure it's an email
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: that's not your personal one because you might be getting
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: dick pics and we don't want that for your two.
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: It's not for financial gain. So it's just he's not
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: trying to make a die him. You've heard his pitch.
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: He's just starting. If you're a med student and you
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: like what he's saying, email him. If you're a philanthropist
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: and you like what he's saying, get in touch with them.
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: If you're super rich and you're like, I want to
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: help this kid, he's the fucking future, then email him.
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: But um, but dude, really really amazing work, and please
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: keep us updated because when you do have some of
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: this up and running, Donald and I will both blast
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: it out on our on our instagrams and that'll at
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: least touch helpful to work on. So yeah, all right,
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: Well we can't say you're welcome to you. We can
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: say thank you to you, right, Thank you ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: give it up for Daniel Dandy. All right, thanks man,
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: thank you for coming on the show, and good luck
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: and your projects. Thank you, thank you for having me
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: what a guy. All right, Wow dude, wow wow wow wow.
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: And ladies us he's hot, so just if I need
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: to fill in a little color commentary, he's a very
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: good looking man. So guys still means still means no
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: dick picks guys. Okay, Um, but ladies, if you're single,
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: you might want to hit up the hot Swedish med student.
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: Let's get back into the show because we are going long. Yeah,
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: we're going along today. Um, Elliott got the janitor to
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: be doctor Reid. That was so funny. And you know
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: it's so funny is that Neil and the janitor is
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: he's he has being a janitor so in his blood
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: that he gets distracted by a smudge on the window.
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: The janitor is actually into cleaning. Like it's like you said,
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: it's so in his blood. Yes, he cannot hold his
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: performance as a doctor together because he sees a smudge
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: on the window. He takes out this preiod. He had
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: a little spray in his pocket and he's freezing. Yeah
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: that's his pocket, that's his pocket washer. That was really funny.
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: He got the little airport the airport container pockets right, Um,
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: what about um Julianna Marglie's and I are having sex
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: on the table and then Ted pops up. Did we win?
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: He's been knocked out the whole time. Yeah, yeah, yeah
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: yeah with the chest, back and face hair? What was that?
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: Oh the tattoo we get we cut to I've got yeah,
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: that's what it was, right, that looked really real by
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: the way. They did a good job. They did a
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: great job. It was on your chest and then it
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: was her back, and then on her back you had
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: her hair. So on your chest it was her face.
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: On the back it was her hair, like you couldn't like,
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: it wasn't enough that you had on your front. She
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: was like, no, they got to know that from it's
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: me from the back too. By the way, that work
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: would have taken like weeks and I want to take months.
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? Months? Because it has to line
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: up with the front too, had to line up because
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: it was amazing. I guess it was a decal because
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: I remember it. I don't remember being a somebody painting you, right.
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: I mean, first of all, that would have been really
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: really hard, and it looked great, So it was a decaal,
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: but it looked good. It didn't look fake. Um, what
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: what's this, Hey, there's no pie here? Was that the
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: Todd No? I feel I need to remember to write
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: down who said that. I listen, I watched this one
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: when we did the Richard kind one, so the same here.
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: So I spend a second two I wrote down, Hey,
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: there's no pie here. I don't remember what that is.
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: And then I wrote down, I fear I've said too much.
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: I don't know what. Oh it's Richard Kinde, Richard Kine.
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: So Richard Kine is brought into the room to talk
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: to Turk by Carla's Rights because she wants him to
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: admit that Turk is a good surgeon and that the
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: reason why he sued was because he was an asshole. Right.
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: So so the line is, hey, wait a minute, there's
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: no pie here. And so Turk is in the room
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: and he's like, wait a second, I see what this is.
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: You're trying to freaking intimidate me. You therely think that's
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: gonna work. Seriously? Is there no pie? He goes, you know,
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: he goes, he goes, he goes. You think that's gonna work? Seriously?
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: Is there no pie? Yeah? Pie? Um? And then he
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: says something I fear I've said too much. Yeah, well
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: that's after he said that. It's it's after he says
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: that he was a you know, because he was good
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: at tennis, people had to hang out with him. The
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: thing is, nobody likes him because he's kind of a jerk.
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: He's a jerk, but when they play tennis with him,
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: he has something that people admire and people want to see,
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: and so that makes them for however long it is
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: that he's playing tennis with them on the same level
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: because he's got that rocket serve, right, And so Carla's like,
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: so you did this, you tortured my husband because you
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: know you wanted to, because you feel I forget what
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: her exact words are. But then he says at the
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: end of what she says, I feel like I've said
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: too much because he divulges way too much information about
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: why he why he put Turk through all this, right,
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: you know, this episode is about women, strong, women saving
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: the day. You know, Carla, um Jordan, and Elliott all
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: save the day. It's also about women being on the
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: same side of each other, like you know, and and
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: you know, if if you're gonna, if you're gonna, if
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: you're gonna stand for something, stand with stand with someone
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: you know what I mean, who would stand by him? Now,
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: stand with somebody who stands for the same things that
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: you stand for. And this episode's about you know, woman
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: power and how you know, it's about so many things,
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: how it's unequal in the workplace, how it's you know,
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: this episode and it really talks about a lot of
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: the things that are going on right now and how
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: disrespected women are in the world period. And you know,
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: we address It's crazy that we've been addressing this for
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: so long and it seems like ten years from now
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: we'll have the same conversation again. You know, it's the same, absolutely,
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: but it's like it it gets frustrating, you know what
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: I mean. We we it took us the whole episode
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: to get there, and now that we're here, it's like,
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: dang man, this is still a conversation that we have
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: to have and we'll probably have it later on, just
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: like racial equality is the same. We'll have this conversation
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: ten years from now. We'll have all of this ten
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: years from now, hopefully, like you said, well we will
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: have taken steps forward. But you know, this is just
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: a reminder that this is an issue in the world
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: that needs to be dealt with and it's taking way
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: too long. Yep. I agree with you, Donald Faison. There's
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: that great quote who said that, Oh, it's it. It's
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: it's Martin Luther King Jr. I just um looked it
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: up because you were making me think of this quote.
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: The arc of the moral universe is long, but it
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: bends towards justice. You know. I wonder what the whole
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: thing was between Jordan and Julianna Margaliese's character because at
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: the end they go at it kill bill Stown. Yeah,
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: they do to kill bill fantasy thing, and I wonder
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: what the importance of that was in this storyline. When
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: you're showing such badass women, Well, they're showing because at
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: the time kill Bill was like Uma Thurman was like
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: such a badass. So it was like, we're gonna have
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: Jordan be the ultimate badass woman and save JD from
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: this abusive relationship, right and then and then to pay
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: her off, he has to break in her jeans, right
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: and then he smacks his ass. Yeah, rights were so tight, um.
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: And then then we end with the tiny versions of us,
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: which I had forgotten. It was really cute us. His
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: kids is cute yeah, all right, well I think we
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: did it, Donald Phazon, I did we ran along. This
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: is almost a two hour episode. We gave you a
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: long one, and thank you everybody for tuning in. Don't
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: forget to mark your calendars for the twenty six. Is
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: the twenty six. We'll be on Drew Barrymore tomorrow, and
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: we're gonna be on Drew Barrymore tomorrow on the CBS.
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: Never all right, guys, we love you storybut Shore, we
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: made about a bunch of dots and nurses said he's
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: a story. Never so get around here, yea around h
