- 0:00And here you probably thought you were just gonna, you know, get some
- 0:03flowers and maybe have a little romantic dinner for Valentine's Day. Yeah, news
- 0:09for you, honey, boring, I agree, I got some unconventional ideas
- 0:14for you. Okay, So it's just the norm, because you know,
- 0:17Valentine's Day after awhile, especially if you're like you and I am in and
- 0:20been married for some time, it's just like, you know, it's another
- 0:23day, you know now that you brought up flowers, I am not sure
- 0:26my husband has ever brought me flowers. Well, yeah, because you just
- 0:29kill them. That's why I right early on in our relationship, I banned
- 0:34flowers all together, because it was like two maybe three times I brought flowers
- 0:38home, and the disregard for the flowers, the lack of care, not
- 0:41even like putting in the uh proper ingredient whatever that salt stuff he is,
- 0:45And then I'm sorry, if I buy the flowers, it's on you to
- 0:48give it water. And I just didn't see any of that happening. And
- 0:51so my wife no longer gets flowers. Well TLC for those bad boys,
- 0:55But these are some unconventional ideas that will drive your your significant other crazy this
- 0:59Valin's Day. For example, you could give an alternative bouquet. Oh,
- 1:03I've heard like bacon boukes. Have you seen that? No, what's that
- 1:07like? It's like bacon roses for guys who really love bacon or gals I
- 1:11guess too for that matter, bacon wrapped something, bacon wrappedjalapenos. I'm very
- 1:15hungry. Name a thing that you could wrap and bacon and it wouldn't be
- 1:19good. Ooh, I mean I go right to like fecal matter, but
- 1:23I don't think there's anything else. Even then you're probably gonna be like thought,
- 1:29okay, gross. You could also make a DIY gift. I see,
- 1:33I love that, and we don't do nickel Wright like sometimes a couple
- 1:36of hand notes here and there randomly that are just sweet. But when we
- 1:41first started dating and we were really good about it, we should get back
- 1:42to this. Maybe I'll start it for Valentine's Day. It was like a
- 1:46one page just like a reflection of your love. Try this one, though,
- 1:49Amanda. Yeah, relationship scrap book. Try that on for size.
- 1:55My poor kids don't even even have a baby book. I think Sidney might.
- 2:00And it says Sydney Luane Linder and then it might have her birth date
- 2:04and that's it. I mean, your kids have the biggest baby book of
- 2:07them all. Yeah, and you can find it at Facebook, dot com,
- 2:09slash Instagram, I know. But in general, like an actual book.
- 2:15Here's another unconventional idea you could try this one. You get to touristy
- 2:19things in your own town. That's an unique idea for Valentine's State, unconventional.
- 2:23So for Fargo, obviously being a tourist hotspot, you could I've never
- 2:28been to the actual Woodchipper. In fact, do they still have that?
- 2:31Far as I know, that's a myth. That was just a rumor.
- 2:34The actual wood Chipper from the movie Fargo. Which here's another fun fact.
- 2:38Not seen that movie. You haven't and it's not even film here, it's
- 2:40in Brainer, right, Fargo just sounded better, I guess. I think
- 2:44so. I've seen the show. The show is really good. However,
- 2:46the wood Chipper, I believe is at like that what visitor center, which
- 2:49has to be with the emptiest building in town. I mean, go downtown
- 2:52and take your picture in from of the Fargo other sign. That would be
- 2:54kind of a fun little date. What other staples. Yeah, what's another
- 3:00thumb center? And you actually gone over there. Do you pronounce that in
- 3:04an interesting way, don't you? Isn't it yum compst yum cum? Oh?
- 3:08So fun? Fact, I really had to do an ad for them
- 3:10a long time ago. A radio advertised radio advertisement for them, And this
- 3:15was like way back in the day. I wasn't on this station, and
- 3:19I wish I could find it because I had no idea, And I think
- 3:23I was like that he's called like, I mean, it's a tough one,
- 3:28but I would never have come up with yumcum. But I think it's
- 3:31hit. Gem Combs is a proper and I know somebody can correct us on
- 3:36that too. Yeah, that's a good idea, But that would be a
- 3:38fun little something different things you went to do otherwise. Okay, okay,
- 3:39how about learn about love and a new culture? You know, like in
- 3:44Japan, Amanda, did you know that the women give men chocolates on Valentine's
- 3:46Day? Really? What doesn't say it a minute in the morning, big
- 3:53naety eight point seven. I mean it falls from grace. When you think
- 3:57of a fall from grace, we're talking not just a person. It could
- 4:00be a thing that was in a position that just beloved by everybody, and
- 4:04what seemed to be in an instant just felt to nothing disgraced. Yeah,
- 4:09so think about I got the six worst falls from Grace of all time,
- 4:13and I want you to try to guess it. Will try to get three?
- 4:15Okay, okay, all right, so the six worst falls from Grace,
- 4:19Amanda, take a guess, just random? Well, yeah, Bill
- 4:26Cosby, show me Bill Cosby. The number one answer? Is that?
- 4:30Really? I know, I was trying to think of, like, my
- 4:32gosh, he was just America's dad. Ye. Then there was one accusation
- 4:39and it sounded like there was you know, for years, people maybe on
- 4:42the inside or in the industry, were aware of some of the drugging and
- 4:46the toe sucking, like his wife even was there for some of these instances,
- 4:49but stood by his side all of it. Just I'll never forget the
- 4:54day he was released from jail, I went, oh, oh, is
- 4:57he out of jail? Yes? Is he a yes? I mean talking
- 5:00about it, that's a fall from Grace for you, Like, I have
- 5:03no idea what, I just know he's terrible. All right, Another,
- 5:06guests, worst falls from Grace doesn't have to be just be people, could
- 5:12be places, could be things. Prince Harry, Prince Harry, I'm sorry,
- 5:15why don't you guess Prince Harry. Could he have a fall from grace?
- 5:18I mean in the royal world? I think so probably. I feel
- 5:21like maybe sort of the opposite, like he got away from all that and
- 5:25now we kind of like him, although they are annoying for the overall,
- 5:28right, him and Megan, I I appreciate them, I like them.
- 5:30I'm happy for him. I'm kind of glad they're out of the spotlight now
- 5:32and we're not talking about him like Travis and Taylor every single day. Right
- 5:36now, they're just kind of living their life. Another whack at it,
- 5:40worst falls from Grace ever? Matt Lower, Matt Lower, show me,
- 5:43Matt Lower, what ye don't number three? Answer? That was wild?
- 5:47Number three? Right? Another America's dad grew up just he was in everybody's
- 5:53living room. I'll never forget a showing up to work one day and all
- 5:56of a sudden, like Matt Lower fired, and I'm like, what could
- 5:59he have possibly done? Like he must have like swore so bad on air,
- 6:02was miked up, and then have we heard from him since? I
- 6:04don't think I've seen an image of He'll pop up every once in a while.
- 6:08I think he's just like living his life in the Hampton's doing this thing.
- 6:11Could be worse for the guy, right, I know they whack at
- 6:13it. Worst falls from Grace. So I'm just stuck on people. I'm
- 6:15trying to think of what other Well, I got two more people, and
- 6:18I got two more places. Jared from Subway was number five. Talk about
- 6:25a guy that we didn't know much about it other than even come from I
- 6:29mean, he just was a bigger guy who they're like, hey, we're
- 6:31gonna have you eat Subway and do all this and yeah, don't you remember
- 6:34like the first commercial where he was standing on the beach with that big par
- 6:38of jeans. That's what it was. And then from then on they're like
- 6:41because there was a bunch of people in that commercial, but for whatever reason,
- 6:45Jared he had I think he had lost the most weight because my god,
- 6:47those are some big jeans. Yeah, and that was probably like during
- 6:49like The Biggest Loser, we were all so visual about like before and afters
- 6:54oh and he's still in jail, I would imagine forever. Yeah, didn't
- 6:57somebody try to kill him? Didn't somebody recently try to stab him? Maybe
- 7:00I don't know. Okay, now now we're into the places of the worst
- 7:02falls from grace. I don't get what you mean, like something that like
- 7:06tumbled down. Yeah, that was in a great beloved by everyone, and
- 7:10then just something happened and boom gone, here's the store. I was thinking,
- 7:15like the World Trade Center, they can actually foul. Is this why
- 7:19I'm struggling? Is this why I can't you know, when you're like hot
- 7:24on something. Nope, not the Twin Towers. Sears, the store got
- 7:30it. You'd be ashamed of yourself. It's like where my head was going.
- 7:34I'm like, okay, like a volcano or eruptin and then it's not
- 7:38not a literal fault. So Sears, Amanda. You know, some people
- 7:43said that Sears could have been Amazon what it is today, but the old
- 7:46Seers catalog I fumbled the bag. Yeah, yeah, did you ever have
- 7:49was Montgomery Ward around here? It was like Sere's Montgomery Ward. Herburgers that
- 7:55was another go to. It probably didn't make it like the overall list,
- 7:57but locally. Yeah, when Herbergers went out, geez, no one got
- 8:01me. Yeah. Uh. And then Blockbuster of course. H yeah,
- 8:07did I hear that they're bringing one back? Because there's ben one, the
- 8:09one they finally closed that and then they were gonna start bringing them back up
- 8:13again. No, why would they bring up Where would you go? Wh
- 8:16would be the reason to go? You know, they could have, but
- 8:20for the reason the fall from grace is because Netflix like wiped them out in
- 8:22a day. It seemed like, but really, why couldn't Blockbuster have done
- 8:26that? Oh yeah, good point, like you had all of those right,
- 8:30you could have easily transitioned. But how Blockbuster could have created their own
- 8:35app at first? You know, they could have sent the DVDs out like
- 8:37block like Netflix was doing originally, and then they transitioned. They could have
- 8:41a little kiosk in the store, and then bottom being Bota Boomy created an
- 8:45app and then I don't know, it's too bad because I like, I
- 8:46like the aesthetic blow. That would be kind of cool though if blocked.
- 8:50But maybe that is like the two point er version. They're just coming for
- 8:52you. They're coming for you Netflix in the morning. No, Amanda Stills.
- 8:58Let's see, let's see Gwyneth Paltrow, she has advice for everybody.
- 9:03I just love when she gives us advice. She's just so much fun.
- 9:05She just got their real life experience that we could all learn a little from.
- 9:09Ye. Likability factor really high with this girl. She revealed on Instagram
- 9:13that she likes to hit things with a plastic bat in order to feel better.
- 9:16She said, my executive coach, so I'm not sure if that's like
- 9:20above the lifestyle coach, but her executive coach actually suggested that she gets a
- 9:24plastic bat off of Amazon. Sometimes when I feel really stuck with anger,
- 9:28I just hit stuff. It's really a great healthy way to release anger.
- 9:33Well, that sounds aggressive. One of those plastic bats are just fun to
- 9:37have around, though, you have any of the kids have one yet?
- 9:39Oh yeah, oh yeah that the golf clubs, that kind of stuff.
- 9:41We have to take them away because sometimes it gets a little out of control.
- 9:45Of course. Yeah, we used to have in college. We would
- 9:48take one of those plastic bats and you cut off the end of it and
- 9:50you turn it from a Louisville slugger into a Louisville chugger and fill it.
- 9:56I know these animals, these kids, really, they'll find anything to drink
- 10:01beer out of. Gosh, yeah, I'm just waiting for her to put
- 10:03this on her Goop website for like one hundred dollars for a plastic bat,
- 10:07But she'll have Goop on it. Is that the whole stick with the stick?
- 10:11With that website she puts Goop on everything. No, it's just the
- 10:13name of her brand. Oh like the word goop. Yeah, that's She's
- 10:18not like creating actual goog yike gas. Remember gap? What was the other
- 10:26one? Silly puddy? Remember you never you get a plastic bat? What's
- 10:31all this on the handle? Oh that's Goop? You pay exer for that.
- 10:39Gosh. David Letterman has a lot to say about Travis Kelsey and Taylor
- 10:43Swift, although I'm not sure he really fully understands a relationship or who Taylor's
- 10:46really dating. This is good. We live in a world now where all
- 10:50we hear is good, nonsense and ugliness. So now here's Taylor Swift,
- 10:56who is a glowing bright light of goodness in the old and she starts dating
- 11:01Kelsey Grammar and people true, yes, yeah, an interesting parent crazy and
- 11:11the Kelsey Grammar people say, oh no, no, no, don't bother
- 11:15us. We're all caught up in football Dave, Chelsea grammar from Fraser of
- 11:20course and cheers so good. I just I don't think he really understood that
- 11:24he was saying it wrong. I feel I think he was doing a bit
- 11:28as they say he was always he was the funniest to me when he was
- 11:31on it was him and Leno. Yeah, I thought David was the funniest.
- 11:35I would say he was probably the funniest, even like over Conan.
- 11:37Oh, it's like Conan is so underrated. Conin is the goat as far
- 11:41as like, oh yeah, like truly underrated. Is he still on TBS?
- 11:46I think he is on TBS. He does a podcast which is hysterical.
- 11:48He's just a funny man. Who knew? Now you do? Don't
- 11:52listen to that podcast instead of this radio show. Well no, we have
- 11:56our own podcast, Piking a Man in the Morning pot cast. Just add
- 12:01podcast behind night. That's easy, Okay, justin Timberlake, what are you
- 12:05doing? It's just I'm starting to get frustrated. You know, my first
- 12:09concert ever was in Sync. Love these guys, and they just keep dangling
- 12:13this little in sync fruit around like we're gonna get to see them sometime soon.
- 12:18So yesterday he was on The Kelly Clarkson Show and he's promoting his new
- 12:22album, he's going out on tour. They pretty much completely squashed everything about
- 12:26an in Sync reunion in my opinion, and then he does this, but
- 12:31yeah, we we we've been in the studio, so there may be a
- 12:35little okay, go ask okay. I feel like Kelly didn't really give him
- 12:41the hype that he wanted. He was trying to be all cool about it.
- 12:43He's like, yeah, we've been in the studio, and she's like,
- 12:45oh, okay, that sounds good. She must not be she must
- 12:48be a backstory boy fan, because otherwise she would be like, oh my
- 12:50gosh, give me the skinny. Tell me girl or boy, give me
- 12:54the skinny. What is that? I don't know it is it not the
- 12:56same give me no more means give me. But but now what it would
- 13:01be it would be weird timing. You know, they might just put another
- 13:05song out there. I guess if they were in the studio already doing the
- 13:07one song, might as well rip another out. But they're not. It's
- 13:11you're never going to get a tour or an album. If he could come
- 13:16back with them on the second leg, or even just do a select amount
- 13:20of shows where he does his stuff for two hours and then an hour and
- 13:24a half of in sync or whatever two and two. However it ends up
- 13:28even an hour of in sync, that would be amazing. Yeah, do
- 13:31it like the Vegas thing would be perfect. But we don't need new music,
- 13:35like did you know the Backstree Boys have been releasing new music like consistently?
- 13:39Yeah, we don't last decade? Yeah right, just not necessary.
- 13:41No, you can give me all the throwbacks like justin Timberlake could go back
- 13:45out on tour and he didn't even need to release this new music. Oh
- 13:48yeah, because it's still just good stuff. Yep, exactly good stuff boys,
- 13:52And that's a skinny And Amanda in the Morning on Big seven. I
- 13:56want to know how far you would go to have dimples? Yeah, give
- 14:01me a smile, Yeah kind of Well bet well, people are doing what
- 14:05they call it, and you probably heard of this, ladies. It's called
- 14:07a dimple plasty. Never heard of this. So people are paying upwards of
- 14:11one point five thousand dollars fifteen hundred dollars to get these dimple plastis. Because
- 14:18there was this trend going around people were using a dimple maker which is just
- 14:22like a tool. Stop it. Like, I think I have actually seen
- 14:26that on TikTok where people were like puncturing their yeah, their face to do
- 14:31that. I'm like, there's no way people are doing that literally just pinches
- 14:33the skin on your face to create what appears to be a dimple. Because
- 14:37are dimples that in demand. I mean, they're cute if you have them
- 14:41naturally, I yess, But ultimately, I don't think if I was out
- 14:45and somebody was like, oh, I'm going to pick her over this person
- 14:46because of the dimples, I don't think that's that big of a factor,
- 14:50is it. I don't know. I can't. I'm trying to think of
- 14:52the best dimples. Who's got some adorable dimples? I feel like you you
- 14:56notice some if they're great, but otherwise there's no that sticks out and I'm
- 15:01like, oh that's great. Yeah yeah, it just sort of puts it
- 15:03over the edge. But however, people want them so badly. They're paying
- 15:05one point five thousand dollars for these dimple plastis and it's become one of the
- 15:11hottest new plastic surgery trends. Have you ever indulged in a little plastic surgery.
- 15:16I had a breast reduction. Is that plastic? What constitutes plastic?
- 15:20Do they have to actually literally put plastic in you? No? I think
- 15:22that was like the term plastic surgery is like the yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 15:26how's that working out for you? Well, I had a couple of
- 15:28kids afterwards, because at the point in my life when I got that done,
- 15:31kids weren't even on my radar. Had a couple of kids. So
- 15:35they're just a little different. I mean, I mean like when you have
- 15:39children in pike your body, you gain weight. Why this is just a
- 15:43real nice combo. I'm just to answer a simple question. Are we back
- 15:46to full size or no? I'm just wondering how the surgery is years later.
- 15:50Also, you've known me my whole adult baby. Yeah, so you
- 15:54you would know if they were back to the way they were. No,
- 15:58they're not bad the way they don't pay attention. I don't know your body
- 16:02as intimately as you might. Hey, I don't think you really needed to.
- 16:04That's why I had them done because it was insane to me. They've
- 16:08always looks the same. Okay, thank you. It was a good things
- 16:14turn out Like a minute in the morning on Big Nutty eight point seven.
- 16:19Now this would be not so kind, however, if you have an X
- 16:22that you want to get back at. We see this a lot through Valentine's
- 16:25Day. We talked about the cockroach and a zoo you can name your ex
- 16:29after and then they'll eat it or whatever. Yeah, what is it?
- 16:30Hippo poop candle and you could put your ex's name on it. There was
- 16:33all kinds of things. Well, this one though, takes the cake because
- 16:37there's an animal shelter who is allowing you to name a feral cat after your
- 16:42ex and they will spade or neoter it set your X because they say,
- 16:48quote, some people are not meant to breed hateful, hateful stuff. But
- 16:52there's only fifty bucks. Now. Of course they're not just rounding cats up
- 16:56just to do this. They apparently have a pro where they capture neuter and
- 17:02then release the cats back into their colony. Got it. I feel like
- 17:06Bob Barker would really love this approach. This should be brought to you by
- 17:10that. I mean, that's what the guy was known for that Spain.
- 17:12He was mostly known for hosting the Prices right, but also he did definitely
- 17:17hang his hat on the Spaining and neutering animals for sure. Yeah, I
- 17:21agree, Yeah, I don't know. It feels weird. It feels weird
- 17:23they're doing that, they're capturing cats. The thing is is that how do
- 17:26you go about telling something you really have a scorned lover? Or are you
- 17:30gonna shoot him a text and be like, hey, just so you know,
- 17:33peaches out there, isnt it? Yeah, I know you're still capable
- 17:37of reproducing, but that cat no longer can. It's you technically, No,
- 17:42that's a bizarre thing. Would I would welcome that. I would welcome
- 17:45an next reaching out be like, hey, so you know I did this
- 17:48thing? Do a cat that? And also wouldn't you your first response would
- 17:52be dodged a bullet, you're weirdo. Yeah, yeah, kind that would
- 18:00be that. That would be the case for sure. Do you think these
- 18:03cats and they go back to their colony, like are welcome anymore? Because
- 18:06I think part of the deal about being a feral cat, what makes you
- 18:08so feral, the fact that you can just pop babies out comes. Yeah,
- 18:11I mean, how sad to think about if you're sending them back to
- 18:15the colony and they're just getting like they're just lonely themselves, and I feel
- 18:18like all cats are kind of like that, I guess unless they're ready to
- 18:22go, oh in heat? Yeah? Is that what they call that?
- 18:25When a cat's quote ready to go, I'm going to go, ready to
- 18:30go. Because I don't know the right terminology, but I would imagine I
- 18:33think if a cat is in here also, yeah, like a skunk.
- 18:38I'm good here, you're not a cat, gal, are you? I'm
- 18:41not because I'm allergic? Yeah, this sounds like I'm sure. Now here's
- 18:48what you need to know. Well, you can't argue these numbers Taylor Swift
- 18:52has generated. I mean, it's a guestamen, but anywhere even near this,
- 18:56so I suppose you could are well, I mean, as far as
- 18:59what she's done for the L three hundred and thirty million dollars is what has
- 19:02been generated, that's wild from her influence, correct, But you can't argue
- 19:07those numbers. There'd be no way to poke a hole in that estimate.
- 19:11It's probably close, you know, not that the NFL needed it, not
- 19:14that she needed it. No, it was really just two entities that were
- 19:17fine on their own and they came together to create this monster. Yes,
- 19:21everyone loves it. I haven't seen a single social media post about somebody not
- 19:23caring for it. No, I think it's probably it's a phenomenon though for
- 19:27sure. By the way, if you want to go to the super Bowl,
- 19:30tickets are so expensive. They've doubled up from last year. This is
- 19:33going to be that most expensive a super Bowl has ever been. I don't
- 19:36know if it's because of travnea, but they're about twelve thousand dollars a pop.
- 19:41That inflation, it's crazy. That's not including anything else. I mean,
- 19:45that's just your ticket to get in. Yeah, you would have to
- 19:47have a whole ton of money to go go no kidding, Yeah, all
- 19:49right. One hundred and eighteen new emojis are being released to iPhones, including
- 19:53new foods, animals, gender neutral families. Some of them are the head
- 19:57shaking horizontally or vertically, a phoenix, a lime brown mushroom, broken phoenix.
- 20:03The town I'm guessing the setting, the setting of the town. What
- 20:12do you mean a phoenix? You're looking now and I know the answer.
- 20:15I'm just massive with you. The mythology of the phoenix, like the bird
- 20:22so not the capital of Arizona, the immortal bird. But they can't give
- 20:26me a bloody Mary. Yet I had to google Phoenix. Come on,
- 20:30now, of all the cities to choose Phoenix, I want to fargo a
- 20:37Fargo Yeah, can we get a Fargo Fargo emoji? Come on? Ah,
- 20:41this is great. There's a third grade teacher who is having her kids
- 20:45pay rent for their desks, and you're probably thinking, what is she crazy?
- 20:48Well, this North Carolina teacher. She says her system includes fake money,
- 20:52which is earned by them cleaning up, kind of helping her. Every
- 20:55Friday is pay day for the kids, and they can spend it however they
- 20:57want cash on They can use cash for rent, free time, homework passes.
- 21:02The most expensive prize is being a teacher for a whole day. I
- 21:04think it's great, she said, a lot of these kids, their parents
- 21:07are living paycheck to paycheck, so I want to teach them at a young
- 21:10age what money is like and how you're supposed to save budget. Go through
- 21:14all that. Yeah, that's crazy. I was looking up the theme from
- 21:18rent, but five hundred twenty five thousands, six hundred that would have made
- 21:26no sense. But it would have been fun, all right. So that's
- 21:29an interesting way to go about it. You got to appreciate a teacher that's
- 21:30coming up with new things and not just teaching the same curriculum that they've got
- 21:33every year lazily. Not that that's happening anywhere, but that's great. Do
- 21:38you feel like you learned enough about financial literacy as a child, not even
- 21:41a little bit, like there should have been a whole I took an integrated
- 21:45math and I've never what time is it at nine oh five? The kids
- 21:48who need to be in the math classes? No? By now? Did
- 21:52I mean you don't use any of that stuff? You just don't. You
- 21:56don't obvious. See in some careers you do correct the T nine calculator or
- 22:00kid meet put my family in debt for that that. Yeah, there was
- 22:06no recovering from the ninety nine Dollartimately, it's like I would rather know about
- 22:10insurance coverage and like life choices, those kind of things with budgeting. Well
- 22:17back then, in high school, if they would have said, some person
- 22:19would have said, the only the best way for you to get ahead right
- 22:22now is buying a home. Don't destroy your credit number one? Yes,
- 22:25right, so you can do these things to get a car, to get
- 22:27a home, and you'd set yourself up but no, and I blame myself
- 22:32mostly. Would you have bought the temple back in the day? Would that
- 22:33have been your first thing? The temple? That was where you and your
- 22:37bro legends of that? I saw in the temple. So if we all
- 22:41had a house in college that had a stupid name, ours was the temple.
- 22:44It showed up recently by the way that I had checked into the Temple.
- 22:48I went there once and did a check in. The address is thirteen
- 22:51thirty two to thirty second Street, Circle South and Morehead if you're curious.
- 22:56I saw it was up for sale, and honestly, you know, we
- 23:00talked about it. We're like, how funny would it be to buy this
- 23:03place and just throw parties there or just like rented out or whatever. But
- 23:06yeah, like taxes, I would like a class on phill how to fill
- 23:10out at W nine? How to read it? What to do? I
- 23:11mean self explanatory. You know they give me anxiety, like line one move
- 23:17over to two three had this no for dual household incomes, Like it's a
- 23:22mess. I still don't know what I should be claiming. Ah, yeah,
- 23:25yeah, it's fair. That's financials. Advisors everywhere are like, let
- 23:27me slide into her DMS for a small fee, I can help you.
- 23:30I'll like get a minute in the morning, come on, get up on
- 23:33big. You've heard people say kids these days, they don't want to work.
- 23:38Everybody has said it, you know, about the current the young generation
- 23:42that's entering the workforce, and people say, it's just that generation, purely
- 23:47your generation. They work their tails off when they were kids. So somebody
- 23:51wanted to put this to the test. Yeah, you know, did some
- 23:53research. This is a professor of sociology. My guy's name is Martin,
- 23:57and he had six hundred people participate in this study. That's a big sample
- 24:03size, large sample size. And so he analyzed the data, Amanda,
- 24:07about people's work ethics, their age, what year they were born. And
- 24:10you know what he concluded, m the year you were born has nothing to
- 24:14do with your willingness to work. You mean people just don't want to work
- 24:18in general, Well, not really their jam It's like, ah, I'd
- 24:22love to just stay at home. How many people doing the old jump out
- 24:25of bed getting ready to go to work. But he does say that it's
- 24:27more the age specifically, so it's not the generation. It's just like when
- 24:32you're young yours part of growing up that you just probably don't want to work.
- 24:36You'd rather be hanging out with your friends and doing YadA YadA. So
- 24:38I guess we're seeing So is that like between twenty and thirty? Is that
- 24:41the age range? Yeah? Probably? Okay, Yeah, I always take
- 24:45it back to parenting. I think that that is where your work ethic completely
- 24:49starts. I don't think it has anything to do. I don't know.
- 24:52You think it's nurture over nature. I mean it's yeah, it's just how
- 24:56you're raised and if your parents are making sure that you're out your working,
- 25:00and it doesn't even have to be at a young age, and it could
- 25:03be financially cutting you off at a certain point where you have to earn money.
- 25:06Oh yeah, you see it all the time. Yeah, you know,
- 25:07the ones that had a pretty easy growing up weren't asked to do a
- 25:11whole lot. In the second that they're faced with a little work, they
- 25:15don't love it. Yeah, and they don't know how to do it or
- 25:18go about it or any of that. I just don't. I just hate
- 25:21in general, people generalizing an entire generation. And it's just like a tale
- 25:25as old as time. When I'm older. When I'm sixty five, I've
- 25:27ever lived that long. You know, I'm sure I'll be saying the same
- 25:30thing about the young kids, you know what I mean. Yeah, But
- 25:32it's just like anytime you get a large group of people, when you're talking
- 25:34about an entire generation, it's not fair to say one specific thing about them,
- 25:38because people are people. For example, people are people bike. Well,
- 25:41it's just yeah, And don't think I'm saying that you're not unique and
- 25:45special because you are kids. You're very unique and one of a kind.
- 25:48However, there's only like so many certain types of people. Yeah, you
- 25:52know, so when you get a large group of them, people who say,
- 25:53like, oh, people in Fargo don't know how to drive, it's
- 25:56like, well, I think it's just that people don't know how to in
- 26:00a minute in the morning seven. You know, my wife and I we
- 26:04made a big step as adults yesterday we got our first ever Costco membership way
- 26:10to go. Really, my only regret was not doing it sooner because the
- 26:12amount of chicken and oatmeal and rice I was able to get crazy. One
- 26:17thing I didn't know about Costco though famously generous return policy. I guess that
- 26:22you can basically, just bring anything back. You don't eat a receipt.
- 26:26The amount of time seems to be irrelevant, especially after I never knew this.
- 26:30Well, there's a woman who's going viral because people are torn on sort
- 26:33of the morality of what she did. She bought a sectional couch from Costco
- 26:38two and a half years ago, okay, two and a half years,
- 26:41had a kid in the amount of time use the couch daily, and she
- 26:45decided she was going to take advantage of their return policy and just return the
- 26:49sectional. Why do you know, I guess it was it was leaning over
- 26:53to one side because she sat in it the whole time. No, she
- 26:56said the reason When she brought it back. They asked her what the problem
- 27:00was, if it didn't work anymore or if she just didn't like it.
- 27:03She just said, yeah, don't really like it anymore. It's no longer
- 27:06a brand new couch, so I don't like it. And they looked it
- 27:08up in the system. She'd never see it and refunded them entirely. Get
- 27:14out of here, right, that's wild. I mean, I guess,
- 27:17at what point are you working here? Like? Okay, this woman brought
- 27:19her entire couching. She took the effort. I mean, is that what
- 27:22she's doing. Is she rolling in the couch? Yes, she said.
- 27:26People were staring at her like crazy because you know, you walk in with
- 27:27a sectional right, it is making it also one that looks used, right.
- 27:33I mean, so people are just ripping her, saying that she's just
- 27:37like a trash person for taking advantage of the system. Yeah. I don't
- 27:41care for that. But you got people on the other side saying, Okay,
- 27:42it's costco. You know, it's a billion dollar business. They don't
- 27:47need it's whatever. Still, but now it's like one bad apple is going
- 27:51to ruin the bunch. So now if you have a bad apple and it
- 27:53ruins the bunch and you go back because they've cracked down on their return policy,
- 27:56you're like, my bag of Fuji apples? Are you know you literally
- 28:02have go apples? I win apples. Can you return bad apples? I
- 28:06feel like fruit is one of them. I've never done that. I have
- 28:07friends though, they're like, if you get especially if you're buying in bulk,
- 28:11you're getting something that's bad or they go bad a couple days later,
- 28:15You're like, what is this garbage? This isn't okay? I have.
- 28:18I have a tough time with avocados. Yeah, can't get can't get seem
- 28:22to get that right. You don't know the brown paper bag on the table
- 28:25trick? Is that? The trick I don't know. I never know is
- 28:26like in the fridge on the counter. What's the trick to take it to
- 28:29a certain point? You can put them in the fridge. It'll last a
- 28:30little longer. But yeah, it's it's a system. You kind of got
- 28:33to just get one a day, you know. But then do you know
- 28:37do you know how to find the right one? I squeeze, Okay,
- 28:38I want to squeeze. You know how to do it? I know I
- 28:41can identify one that's ready today. I can identify one that's going to be
- 28:45ready in two days, three days. The worst is when you think you
- 28:48found the one. You're like, this is today, and then you get
- 28:51home and you cut it open and it's like yeah, Gar
