- 0:02Speaker 1: band Body Snatcher. We're coming to Australia starting February fourteenth
- 0:06Speaker 1: with our friends and Warner Shore and then we'll also
- 0:09Speaker 1: be playing some headline shows with Volatile.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Ways Beautiful My thanks for joining us the saving.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Yeah, as you said, Body Snutchow will be in Australia
- 0:19Speaker 3: very soon.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Mate. Go wait, you're rather wake away.
- 0:22Speaker 3: So you're starting on February to forty if we're drown
- 0:25Speaker 3: a show over but you got lots of geeks away, mate, Like,
- 0:27Speaker 3: how are you feeling you You're pumped.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Yet, very very excited. Yeah, very excited to see the sun.
- 0:33Speaker 2: I've been told that sort of the world, is it.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, we've been. We've been in Europe for the
- 0:38Speaker 1: last three weeks and it's been it's been cloudy pretty much.
- 0:41Speaker 1: I mean except for Spain. Spain. Spain was very nice
- 0:44Speaker 1: and uh it's sunny, but other than that, it's been
- 0:47Speaker 1: cloudy and cold the entire time.
- 0:49Speaker 3: You might want to leave then bribes were in the
- 0:50Speaker 3: middle of the heatway yer, it's spright at the moment.
- 0:53Speaker 1: I know. I looked up. It's like one hundred degrees.
- 0:54Speaker 1: I was like, all right, maybe.
- 0:55Speaker 2: I have you always been out before? I couldn't find
- 1:01Speaker 2: any information on that.
- 1:02Speaker 1: We have not neither Orlana Shore, neither one of us
- 1:05Speaker 1: have been out there before.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Wow, So what are in a situation like that?
- 1:11Speaker 3: Like do you call your mates who played here before
- 1:13Speaker 3: and try and find out what to expect from the
- 1:14Speaker 3: crowds and souffwore?
- 1:15Speaker 2: Do you come here?
- 1:16Speaker 1: Oh? For sure? Yeah, Like like we're we're good friends
- 1:19Speaker 1: with the guys in the Alpho Wolf and and so
- 1:22Speaker 1: you know, we we kind of hit them up and
- 1:24Speaker 1: ask them what to expect, you know, because when you've
- 1:27Speaker 1: never been somewhere, you don't you don't know, you know,
- 1:29Speaker 1: a big thing, how much merch to order? You know
- 1:31Speaker 1: what I mean. It's like we don't you know. So
- 1:33Speaker 1: it's like if we're a support band, what's like the
- 1:36Speaker 1: average bands are going to sell? How much should we order?
- 1:39Speaker 1: Blah blah blah. But and then also like if we're
- 1:45Speaker 1: flying there from the United States, we could fly there
- 1:48Speaker 1: normally and check all of our gear, but this time
- 1:51Speaker 1: we're flying to Australia from Germany because we're here right
- 1:57Speaker 1: now and you can't just check all of your gear
- 2:02Speaker 1: on a normal plane. You have to get it air
- 2:04Speaker 1: freighted there, and uh, it's it's it's a huge, huge
- 2:10Speaker 1: ordeal getting getting gear there right now. I mean we're
- 2:13Speaker 1: renting a bunch of stuff too, but all the stuff
- 2:15Speaker 1: that we use on a daily basis that we normally
- 2:17Speaker 1: fly with, we can't check on the airline that we're flying.
- 2:20Speaker 2: So hey, yeah, so what about the crowds. What have
- 2:24Speaker 2: you heard about that crowds? Because we sort of we
- 2:26Speaker 2: do we do everything pretty much differently every Yeah.
- 2:29Speaker 1: I mean I've heard the crowds are awesome. Yeah, I
- 2:32Speaker 1: haven't heard any any negative things about the crowds, I guess, so, yeah, Yeah,
- 2:39Speaker 1: I'm stoked.
- 2:40Speaker 2: The clip slide of that.
- 2:41Speaker 3: One thing I've heard about you guys is that your
- 2:43Speaker 3: mosh pitzza are absolutely insanity involves and tails.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Is that true?
- 2:48Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 2:49Speaker 2: How much of that is? How much of that is
- 2:50Speaker 2: your fault?
- 2:53Speaker 1: I mean we we definitely uh instigate it, you know.
- 2:56Speaker 1: We we we like we like that the high energy,
- 2:59Speaker 1: We like the aggressiveness and and fans you know, so
- 3:04Speaker 1: we definitely ask for it quite a bit, you know,
- 3:10Speaker 1: ye both, yeah, demand.
- 3:13Speaker 2: What else can we expect from a Boddy such a shope.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Right, Like one thing, we not haven't been here before,
- 3:18Speaker 3: people don't really know what you expect.
- 3:21Speaker 1: I mean, just it's just very very intense, high energy,
- 3:24Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Just like constant telling people
- 3:29Speaker 1: to get on stage, get off stage, you know what
- 3:31Speaker 1: I mean. I mean, I granted as some of the venue,
- 3:33Speaker 1: as some of the Laurna dates, I'm sure there's going
- 3:35Speaker 1: to be it's barricaded venues, no one's getting on stage,
- 3:38Speaker 1: but yeah, we'll still still good at a shot.
- 3:45Speaker 2: And all of those shows with Lorna shows solely out
- 3:48Speaker 2: now right like that's gonna be a good feeling and
- 3:49Speaker 2: come to a country for the first time and selling
- 3:52Speaker 2: out put it on.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Just very very very thankful to Lorna Shore. You know,
- 3:57Speaker 1: they're they're in a position right now where anybody they
- 4:00Speaker 1: take out on tour, it's it's a it's a very
- 4:03Speaker 1: it's a very big help, you know what i mean.
- 4:05Speaker 1: So it's like they're they're at a position where they are,
- 4:10Speaker 1: you know, one of the biggest bands in the world
- 4:12Speaker 1: for this genre, and so just just very thankful that
- 4:18Speaker 1: they that they still believe in us, and you know,
- 4:22Speaker 1: we we've done a lot of tours with them ever since,
- 4:24Speaker 1: you know, every vocalist they've ever had, we've toured with them,
- 4:27Speaker 1: every headline and tour they've ever done, We've been on
- 4:30Speaker 1: it besides one. And yeah, just just very thankful to
- 4:35Speaker 1: have those guys as friends and have them keep pushing
- 4:38Speaker 1: for us and you know, keep putting us on tours
- 4:40Speaker 1: and because it couse it does help us a lot.
- 4:43Speaker 3: Doesn't What is it that? What is it you think
- 4:45Speaker 3: they see any bright lot? Then they're not just doing
- 4:47Speaker 3: it because you're a nice guy or because they like
- 4:49Speaker 3: it that you're obviously doing your you know, pulling your
- 4:52Speaker 3: end at the bottles?
- 4:52Speaker 2: What is it they say you bad?
- 4:53Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 4:54Speaker 2: Why why would they bring you away out of you?
- 4:58Speaker 1: I mean with the is doing well? You know what
- 5:02Speaker 1: I mean, Like like we're not it's not We're not
- 5:05Speaker 1: like a band that has no value, you know what
- 5:08Speaker 1: I mean? But we definitely we definitely have value so
- 5:12Speaker 1: that they see our value and the fact that, you
- 5:17Speaker 1: know what what Austin said to me once, like when
- 5:21Speaker 1: we first like found out we were going to do
- 5:24Speaker 1: this tour, He's like, dude, He's like he's like, we're
- 5:26Speaker 1: playing a show and then we have a day off
- 5:27Speaker 1: and then we're playing a show and then we have
- 5:29Speaker 1: a day off. He's like, it's basically like vacation, and
- 5:31Speaker 1: we'd rather be on vacation with our friends than somebody
- 5:34Speaker 1: that you know what I mean. Yeah, Yeah, it's just
- 5:38Speaker 1: it's just cool.
- 5:39Speaker 3: That's the other side to go on the people. So
- 5:42Speaker 3: I just started to call on the people. Don't think
- 5:44Speaker 3: about much, Like when you're on the raid with another band.
- 5:46Speaker 3: It's not just the time you're on stage, like you's
- 5:48Speaker 3: got to be able to get on together off stage
- 5:50Speaker 3: as well.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Yeah, it's twenty four hours a day, you know, especially
- 5:53Speaker 1: in Europe, Like right now, we're on a bus right
- 5:56Speaker 1: now with with it's three bands on one bus, you
- 6:01Speaker 1: know what I mean. So it's like you're you're with
- 6:02Speaker 1: these people twenty four hours a day, you know. So
- 6:05Speaker 1: you got you got to make sure that you know,
- 6:08Speaker 1: even if you don't know people, you got to make
- 6:09Speaker 1: sure that that you know how to be a likable person,
- 6:11Speaker 1: you know what I mean. And you got to you
- 6:12Speaker 1: got to know how to like like, you know, let
- 6:16Speaker 1: other people's flaws be okay and like and like those
- 6:19Speaker 1: people as well. You know.
- 6:22Speaker 3: So you've also announced Yah three of your own headline shows,
- 6:25Speaker 3: as you said before, you got one in Melbourne on
- 6:27Speaker 3: February ninety eighth's, Newcastle February twenty first, and Brisbane February
- 6:30Speaker 3: twenty third.
- 6:31Speaker 2: So how different are those shows of your own going
- 6:34Speaker 2: to be?
- 6:34Speaker 3: The one's really support and order show off, Like, there's
- 6:36Speaker 3: gonna be people saying that one, I shouldn't go to
- 6:39Speaker 3: that one, But there'll be a bit of different.
- 6:41Speaker 1: They're they're going to be similar. But at the ones, uh,
- 6:45Speaker 1: the ones that we're headlining, we are playing a little
- 6:49Speaker 1: bit longer of a set, they'll be you know, definitely
- 6:53Speaker 1: some older material added in and but yeah, that's that.
- 6:58Speaker 1: That's that's gonna be the difference. They'll be the some
- 7:00Speaker 1: older songs and a little bit longer of a set.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Even though the Launa dates we do still have a
- 7:05Speaker 1: pretty long set at Laura. Actually we're playing forty minutes,
- 7:08Speaker 1: so cool.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Did just say someone's gone along to the Larner show
- 7:12Speaker 3: and they've never heard of you guys before? Like, what
- 7:14Speaker 3: three songs of yours should they listen to before they
- 7:16Speaker 3: go to show? You know, what to expect?
- 7:20Speaker 1: I would say, if they want to know, like lyrically
- 7:26Speaker 1: what the band it's about, I would say, listen to
- 7:28Speaker 1: twelve seventeen, Murder eight and Black of My Eyes and uh,
- 7:39Speaker 1: and then there's like, the most popular song is King
- 7:42Speaker 1: of the Rats, but that song doesn't have lyrics. That song,
- 7:45Speaker 1: I mean, that song has lyrics, but it's all just
- 7:46Speaker 1: like we just wrote that song as a fun, heavy song,
- 7:51Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Yeah, So, but King of
- 7:55Speaker 1: the Rats is also a good when people love that song.
- 7:57Speaker 2: So right now that's written. You go started in Melbourne, Florida.
- 8:01Speaker 2: Is that the name of the town? Melbourne. I did
- 8:03Speaker 2: not know there was another Melbourne anywhere else in the
- 8:05Speaker 2: world until I read that.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Yep, yep. And when we do interviews all the time
- 8:09Speaker 1: in Europe and people are like, so what's it like
- 8:12Speaker 1: coming from from Australia and we're like, we're from Florida.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Oh well, so we just started there in Melbourne, in Florida.
- 8:22Speaker 3: So what was what was the musical climate like that
- 8:24Speaker 3: gave birth to body snatch On?
- 8:26Speaker 2: And where did you fit in when you first came
- 8:27Speaker 2: on a scene?
- 8:29Speaker 1: So I was originally I was not in the band
- 8:32Speaker 1: when they first started, but I knew them. I produced
- 8:35Speaker 1: the band, and I did like that. I recorded their
- 8:38Speaker 1: first full length and so I like saw them like
- 8:42Speaker 1: come up, you know, And I mean they were definitely
- 8:47Speaker 1: influenced by bands like bands like recon On, Broken Wings,
- 8:56Speaker 1: the Acacias Train. They just they just wanted they wanted
- 8:59Speaker 1: to be a band that they weren't even like thinking
- 9:03Speaker 1: that it was going to be something as serious as
- 9:06Speaker 1: it is. They just wanted to write something that was
- 9:08Speaker 1: really heavy, to play local shows and have all their
- 9:10Speaker 1: friends mash That's really what it was. It's just like,
- 9:13Speaker 1: we want to be a mash band.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Not Your most recent release was our ball Fun doc.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Last game I say was ever might be the fantas
- 9:23Speaker 2: Tight You were like.
- 9:24Speaker 1: You hip, Oh yeah, if you have people people have
- 9:27Speaker 1: been very very supportive of that, and it's been it's
- 9:30Speaker 1: been really really well well received. Yeah, very very excited
- 9:35Speaker 1: because that's all of those songs are my favorite songs
- 9:37Speaker 1: that we've ever done, and.
- 9:40Speaker 2: So you've got to be playing focusing on that one
- 9:42Speaker 2: for this tour. You said, are going to mix it up?
- 9:44Speaker 1: Yeah, oh yeah, well we're mixing it up quite a
- 9:46Speaker 1: bit because you know, if there's been people that have
- 9:51Speaker 1: never obviously never seen us before, you know, because we've
- 9:54Speaker 1: never been there, and if people have known our band
- 9:57Speaker 1: for a long time. We want them to hear songs
- 10:00Speaker 1: off everything that they could have listened to, you know
- 10:03Speaker 1: what I mean. But we are still playing three of
- 10:07Speaker 1: the five songs on Viole conduct at these shows. But
- 10:11Speaker 1: then we're also playing some stuff off of Death of Me.
- 10:14Speaker 1: We're also playing some stuff off of This Heavy Void.
- 10:17Speaker 1: We're playing some of the singles that were released over COVID,
- 10:20Speaker 1: We're playing some stuff off of Blee to Bye. So yeah,
- 10:23Speaker 1: it's a it's a very it's a very packed set.
