SPEAKER_00: Welcome to the Success by the Book Podcast, the place where Christians who want to experience the extravagant goodness of God in all areas of their lives come from mentorship.
• 0:09
SPEAKER_00: I am your host, Dr.
• 0:10
SPEAKER_00: Uma, and I'll be unpacking the secret I have learned from the Word of God over the last two decades.
• 0:15
  SPEAKER_00: Let's dive in.
• 0:17
SPEAKER_01: Now, in your Bible, there is a prayer known as the Lord's Prayer.
• 0:23
SPEAKER_01: And it is not necessarily a prayer to just repeat per se.
• 0:29
SPEAKER_01: It's like a template of prayer, it's like a book, and this is the outline of the book.
• 0:34
SPEAKER_01: Chapter one, this, chapter two, this.
• 0:37
SPEAKER_01: That's literally what it is.
• 0:38
SPEAKER_01: And so you can fill that up.
• 0:40
SPEAKER_01: So we're going to practice praying the Lord's Prayer.
• 0:44
SPEAKER_01: And you're going to pray it, you're going to pray it for yourself because I want you to get the concept.
• 0:49
SPEAKER_01: And then now this becomes something you can pray for your family, you can pray for your children.
• 0:56
SPEAKER_01: You can pray for your 12.
• 0:58
SPEAKER_01: You can pray for your pastor.
• 1:00
SPEAKER_01: But I want you to get it.
• 1:02
  SPEAKER_01: Okay.
• 1:02
SPEAKER_01: So we're going to trust God.
• 1:04
SPEAKER_01: Father, we depend on you for the grace to pray.
• 1:07
SPEAKER_01: We depend on you for the grace to pray in the name of Jesus.
• 1:11
  SPEAKER_01: Okay.
• 1:12
SPEAKER_01: So we're going to focus on one area at a time.
• 1:15
  SPEAKER_01: So just follow me.
• 1:17
  SPEAKER_01: Okay.
• 1:17
  SPEAKER_01: Just follow me.
• 1:18
  SPEAKER_01: Okay.
• 1:19
  SPEAKER_01: The first slide.
• 1:20
  SPEAKER_01: Thank you, Jesus.
• 1:21
  SPEAKER_01: Okay.
• 1:22
  SPEAKER_01: So the Lord's Prayer.
• 1:23
SPEAKER_01: The Lord's Prayer starts with our Father in heaven.
• 1:28
SPEAKER_01: The starting point of the Lord's Prayer is relationship.
• 1:33
  SPEAKER_01: Relationship with God.
• 1:35
SPEAKER_01: Not our creator, but our Father.
• 1:40
  SPEAKER_01: Amen.
• 1:41
SPEAKER_01: And so the first thing we're going to pray about is that God takes us deeper in Him.
• 1:48
SPEAKER_01: He helps us have a deeper relationship with Him.
• 1:52
SPEAKER_01: That He gives us the Bible says in Philippians 2 13 that it is God working in us, giving us the desire and the power to do what pleases him.
• 2:03
SPEAKER_01: Having a relationship with him pleases him.
• 2:05
SPEAKER_01: So we're going to pray, Lord, do a work in me.
• 2:08
SPEAKER_01: Give me the desire to stay in the place of prayer.
• 2:11
SPEAKER_01: The desire to read your word.
• 2:14
SPEAKER_01: The desire to meditate in your word.
• 2:16
SPEAKER_01: The desire to obey and walk in your ways.
• 2:19
SPEAKER_01: Help me to go deeper in you, deeper in my walk with you.
• 2:23
SPEAKER_01: In the name of Jesus Christ.
• 2:24
SPEAKER_01: Go ahead, lift your voices and pray.
• 2:27
SPEAKER_01: Lift your voices and pray.

• 37:41
SPEAKER_01: This is what we say.
• 37:42
SPEAKER_01: When we're like, I don't my life doesn't line up with the Bible, then open your mouth and start rearranging your life, saying these things that are in line with the will of God.
