  SPEAKER_01: Faith in Action is what I titled it, but a lot of times the computer changes the title a little bit.

  SPEAKER_01: For as the human body apart from the spirit, our spirit man is lifeless or dead, so faith, which is now apart from its works, its actions, in other words, is dead.

  SPEAKER_01: I was always praying for items and then working hard to help God bring it to pass.

  SPEAKER_01: I thought I was using my faith when I was using my human skills.

  SPEAKER_01: That was the main reason that my faith was not working.

  SPEAKER_01: It was because there was no action to bolster and help build my faith.

  SPEAKER_01: But Chaplain Terry, the word says faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God, Romans 10 17.

  SPEAKER_01: I remember one time I was going to start getting my faith to work by confessing and believing the Lord for a pair of socks.

  SPEAKER_01: I thought that by starting small and confessing that God would meet my needs according to Philippians four nineteen and voila, I would then believe for something bigger.

  SPEAKER_01: That confessing and reading and hearing God's word did not make my socks materialize.

  SPEAKER_01: Why?

  SPEAKER_01: Go to Genesis and look how God created everything.

  SPEAKER_01: He spoke the words that instructed the Holy Spirit to bring about the desired results.

  SPEAKER_01: He directed his faith filled words to the Holy Spirit.

  SPEAKER_01: God's words are filled with faith, and God, the Father, directed his words to the Holy Spirit, or to the Holy Spirit of God, who was moving across the expanse and waiting and listening for God's command.

  SPEAKER_01: If you will notice in Genesis 1 1, the word Elohim is used for God.

  SPEAKER_01: This word describing God in the Hebrew is plural and means more and able to bring about.

  SPEAKER_01: It is also masculine.

  SPEAKER_01: In contrast, the word earth referring to our planet is feminine.

  SPEAKER_01: God speaks the word and in doing so plants words or seeds to bring about a desired result.

  SPEAKER_01: He is not a gumball machine that we can say something magic words to and he out produces a product or manipulate or force him or command him to do something that's not out of that's not in his will or in his way to go.

  SPEAKER_01: I didn't need a pair of socks.

  SPEAKER_01: I didn't need to get God to move because of my faith, no matter how much I believed for them or uh wanted them.

  SPEAKER_01: That wasn't what God meant when he said that.

  SPEAKER_01: In the physical world, we plant a seed into the earth to bring about plants that we can use for food, clothing, and meet our physical needs.

  SPEAKER_01: If I wanted a pair of socks, I need to find somebody that needs socks, or somebody that needs something, and I need to plant a seed by helping them out and showing them things, how God does things, and in my harvest, I'll be given a pair of socks.

  SPEAKER_01: The seed has the necessary ingredients to activate the earth and fertilize the plant to bring about a harvest.

  SPEAKER_01: Do you ever wonder why God was not created until the end of the sixth day?

  SPEAKER_01: You know, if God had created us in the fourth day, we would have had to tread water until He sh uh showed up and created us or finished the creation on the sixth day.

  SPEAKER_01: God is the God of seed planting.

  SPEAKER_01: Everything in this earth was seed, and it was planted and it grew and matured.

  SPEAKER_01: And that's what Jesus meant on the mustard seed size of faith.

  SPEAKER_01: The mustard seed is just a comparison seed.

  SPEAKER_01: It doesn't take a lot of a lot of faith.

  SPEAKER_01: It just takes some faith.

  SPEAKER_01: It takes the same measure of faith that God used when he raised Jesus Christ from the dead.

  SPEAKER_01: That was the amount of faith required to raise raise you from the dead with Christ Jesus.

  SPEAKER_01: That same measure of faith.

  SPEAKER_01: There is given unto man the measure of faith, not a measure, but the measure.

  SPEAKER_01: This is also true in the spirit world.

  SPEAKER_01: To operate and live in this world you must have a body.

  SPEAKER_01: That is why God created man as a spirit, and the man has a soul, made up of his mind, his will, and his emotions, and he lives in a body, his earth suit.

  SPEAKER_01: When creating Adam, he gave this being, man, authority in three worlds spirit, soul, and body.

  SPEAKER_01: The Spirit of God is the main authority over everything, and if you are a Christian or have given your heart over to Christ, the Holy Spirit can take your words and control what happens when you start speaking God's word.

  SPEAKER_01: It is the Spirit who gives life.

  SPEAKER_01: He is the life giver.

  SPEAKER_01: The flesh conveys no benefit.

  SPEAKER_01: Whatever.

  SPEAKER_01: There is no profit in it, in other words.

  SPEAKER_01: The words or truth that I have been speaking to you are spirit and life.

  SPEAKER_01: Everything in our world is done and established through words that we speak.

  SPEAKER_01: If you want a longer teaching, just stay with me a few weeks because I'm gonna be d dwelling on this.

  SPEAKER_01: We have a soul and we live in a body.

  SPEAKER_01: And that's why Jesus had to come to earth.

  SPEAKER_01: If you don't have a body, you have no authority on this earth.
