- 0:00Speaker 1: This is Kiss Breakfast.
- 0:02Speaker 2: All right, thank you. Let's go to Nat and get
- 0:04Speaker 2: a hit of celeb news. What do you got?
- 0:06Speaker 3: So Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who you know as Elaine from Seinfeld,
- 0:10Speaker 3: she was the latest guest on Benny Blanco's Friends Keep
- 0:13Speaker 3: Secret podcast, and they asked her about, you know, because
- 0:16Speaker 3: Seinfeld was on air for nine seasons, and they asked
- 0:19Speaker 3: if there was ever any friction on the set between
- 0:21Speaker 3: the cast members, and this is what she said.
- 0:24Speaker 4: Was there ever any friction ever like on Seinfeld?
- 0:26Speaker 1: Of course, yes, tons.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Oh, really? Well, I mean, it's hard to do anything
- 0:31Speaker 2: really well and it takes a lot of work and
- 0:34Speaker 2: you're going to butt heads.
- 0:35Speaker 4: I mean, there's friction in every workplace.
- 0:38Speaker 3: I think specifically creative places because creative differences are big and.
- 0:43Speaker 1: No one's wrong.
- 0:44Speaker 3: So there's not a way to prove your idea's wrong
- 0:47Speaker 3: or the numbers don't match what you're saying.
- 0:49Speaker 1: It's literally the difference of creative opinion.
- 0:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 0:52Speaker 1: And that's hard.
- 0:53Speaker 4: I agree with that, being in radio my whole life.
- 0:55Speaker 2: But also just people, you know, there'd be some dude
- 0:57Speaker 2: going to work today who mows lawns and he's got
- 0:59Speaker 2: an apprentice and the apprentice is awful and there's friction there.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 1:03Speaker 4: And there's, you know, John in accounts and it's just
- 1:05Speaker 4: like people are awful.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Well, that's the thing.
- 1:07Speaker 3: And at the end of the day, when it comes
- 1:09Speaker 3: to work, people that you spend time with, these are
- 1:11Speaker 3: people you didn't choose. Like you, you choose your friends.
- 1:14Speaker 3: I mean, you can't choose your family, but you can
- 1:16Speaker 3: choose how much time you spend around them. You can't
- 1:18Speaker 3: control how long you have to spend around these people
- 1:21Speaker 3: that you don't even like.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Unless you're white and try and get them fired. That
- 1:25Speaker 4: can work.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Yeah, but then it's energy and then it won't happen.
- 1:29Speaker 3: And then, you know, when you start hating your job,
- 1:31Speaker 3: you can never unhate it ever again.
- 1:32Speaker 4: No, and the people will make it. It's time to leave.
- 1:34Speaker 4: People will make or break a job. People will make or.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Break a job.
- 1:37Speaker 4: I agree.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Hey, Sandra Bullock is currently doing press with Nicole Kidman
- 1:40Speaker 3: because they're in Practical Magic 2, which is coming out
- 1:42Speaker 3: in cinemas next week. Now, Sandra is a mum to
- 1:45Speaker 3: two adopted kids, a boy and a girl, who she
- 1:48Speaker 3: was raising with her late partner, Brian Randall.
- 1:50Speaker 1: He sadly passed away, remember, back in 2023.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Mm. So she's now opened up about what it's like
- 1:55Speaker 3: to raise her daughter by herself. And she admitted her
- 1:58Speaker 3: daughter's even worse than she was when she was younger.
- 2:00Speaker 4: Take a listen.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Mother always said to me, just wait till you have daughters.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Because I was a difficult child in that I didn't
- 2:07Speaker 3: do anything, but I looked like.
- 2:09Speaker 1: I was about to do it all.
- 2:10Speaker 3: I was really scared of her, so I didn't really
- 2:12Speaker 3: do much.
- 2:13Speaker 1: But I was defiant. I was very defiant.
- 2:15Speaker 3: I talked back and, you know, my daughter does the
- 2:18Speaker 3: things I thought about.
- 2:20Speaker 4: So you're having a daughter.
- 2:21Speaker 3: I am.
- 2:22Speaker 4: What's her name?
- 2:23Speaker 1: Not telling you, stop, because I almost just said it.
- 2:26Speaker 4: Oh, damn. But like a daughter's worse. Sons can be
- 2:30Speaker 4: bad too.
- 2:30Speaker 3: I think they say sons when they're little are really
- 2:33Speaker 3: challenging because they're so hyperactive and like run around and
- 2:37Speaker 3: they're jumping off things and they want to hurt themselves basically.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Teenage years, it's daughters. They always say, ah, wait till
- 2:43Speaker 3: they're teenagers. And I, my friends have already started joking
- 2:46Speaker 3: with me about it because I was a particularly challenging teenager.
- 2:50Speaker 1: And they have, they are like.
- 2:51Speaker 4: It's coming back to you.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Yep.
- 2:53Speaker 4: It's going to be calmer.
- 2:54Speaker 1: And they get, they all like, good luck to you.
- 2:56Speaker 4: How are you with your mum?
- 2:56Speaker 2: Because I do remember my sister and my mum when
- 3:00Speaker 2: my sister was a teenager.
- 3:01Speaker 4: The fights, the, you know. Oh, sorry. Screaming matches.
- 3:05Speaker 1: I definitely, like, I always had a different level of respect.
- 3:08Speaker 3: Like, I respect them both, but when it came to
- 3:11Speaker 3: my mum, I was more willing to bite back at
- 3:13Speaker 3: her and have arguments with her. But then if my
- 3:15Speaker 3: dad stepped in and said, Natalie, I would just go
- 3:18Speaker 3: silent majority of the time. I can't remember ever yelling
- 3:21Speaker 3: with my dad.
- 3:21Speaker 4: Was that a lot of, wait till your father gets home.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, the threats that mum gave.
- 3:25Speaker 3: The threats that mum gave about wait till dad gets
- 3:28Speaker 3: home and then when he got home I was like, hey, dad.
- 3:31Speaker 2: All right, you want more celeb news, go and get
- 3:33Speaker 2: the Kiss Breakfast podcast on the free iHeart app.
- 3:36Speaker 4: And coming up, I'm looking forward to this.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Yeah, we've got a brand new dating segment called The
- 3:40Speaker 3: Love Vote. So what's going to happen is one of
- 3:42Speaker 3: our single listeners, her name is Erica. She's going to
- 3:45Speaker 3: come in studio because she's basically, she's at a wit's
- 3:48Speaker 3: end with trying to find a partner and all the
- 3:49Speaker 3: dating apps and everything like that.
- 3:51Speaker 1: So she needs our help. We've lined up two suitors,
- 3:53Speaker 1: two single guys that want to date her.
- 3:55Speaker 4: Okay.
- 3:56Speaker 3: And she's going to meet them for the first time
- 3:58Speaker 3: live on air. But then she doesn't pick which one
- 4:00Speaker 3: she wants to date. We need you listeners to pick.
- 4:03Speaker 4: Okay.
- 4:04Speaker 3: So you need to be listening. You need to choose
- 4:05Speaker 3: which one you prefer. And then you need to give
- 4:07Speaker 3: us a call. So we'll get into that next. We'll
- 4:09Speaker 3: meet Erica.
- 4:10Speaker 4: All right. Beyonce. So birthday today. Oh, yeah.
- 4:14Speaker 2: 58.
- 4:15Speaker 3: No, 45.
- 4:16Speaker 1: You just made up a number. Negging Beyonce. Mourning Beyonce.
- 4:22Speaker 1: I know you're listening.
