- 0:16Atlanta, Georgia. This this is the Sports Shock Show with Wayne Dandy.
- 0:23You may began, I'm gang show come so far comes and it comes a
- 0:32moth, isn't just I'm a doing Yeah, I'm gonna go on the way
- 0:40you made Bill Vegan. Welcome, Welcome, Welcome. I you're listening to
- 0:47the Sports Shock Show. I'm the Sports Shock Wayne Gandy. Good morning to
- 0:51you out there and listening. Land. Glad to be here with you a
- 0:54couple of days away from Christmas. What a bit Christmas we have coming up
- 0:59in the world of sports. As you may know or may not know,
- 1:03based on how you follow the world of sports. For the last decade or
- 1:11so, the NBA has controlled the wheeld of sports on Christmas Day with their
- 1:18line up typically tipping off at noon and running through the night. Well,
- 1:26they're going to continue that. They have a slate of games as they call
- 1:29it, that will tip off at noon. I want to say that first
- 1:34game will be Milwaukee and the Knicks, and typically they travel across the country
- 1:40and end up in the West coast by nine or ten o'clock if you haven't
- 1:44had it's about five games. Well, the NFL has decided that since the
- 1:51Liberals are running the country now and we don't actually need a tradition. Remember,
- 2:00tradition for our country is slowly e roading. And when I say that,
- 2:06I'm talking about the small little things that we watch. We watch Black
- 2:14Friday become a Tuesday in September. We watch that you can't put you know,
- 2:23little christ in the manger. You can have the manger, but you
- 2:27can't have Christen in front of the capitals. We see people put up their
- 2:32Christmas decorations before Halloween, those kind of things. Is a Christmas tree used
- 2:40to go down and the lights came off the day as the New Year's ring,
- 2:46And now people may go all the way to Valentine's Day. And rightfully
- 2:51so when you spend four or five thousand dollars hanging up some lights, I
- 2:54guess you got to get your value. So when I say tradition is gone,
- 3:00if you look at it, it's a liberal mindset that why hold to
- 3:06the traditions of the past. Well, that's I guess is how the NFL
- 3:10is approaching Christmas as well. They have a slate of games on Christmas Day
- 3:17for you to enjoy. They start off with the Raiders out in Kansas City,
- 3:23then they move to Philly as they take on the Giants, and then
- 3:28the big boy of the weekend, not just of Christmas, where you may
- 3:35want to save your dessert. The Ravens and the forty nine it's gonna do
- 3:40battle on Monday night. Just say you desert, Just take it and start
- 3:46working out today. As I always tell you my workout regiment for you that
- 3:50have that conscientious I need to keep my weight down. Don't go on the
- 3:54intermittent fast that Big Kenny was suggesting this morning. That stuff does not actually
- 4:01help you out. Fasting can slow the metabolism. It holds on to fat,
- 4:06creates fat pockets. So you just have the illusion. So don't do
- 4:13that. But get on the treadmill, get on the street corner, start
- 4:17running, biking, doing all that kind of stuff. Preparing and hold the
- 4:23dessert if you have to have something to commanch you greg for that game on
- 4:29Monday Night, the Ravens taking on the forty nine Ers. The Ravens are
- 4:34irked that they are underdogs in the game. But I don't know why you
- 4:41have the same record and you're on the road on Christmas. I think that's
- 4:47about I don't know what the underdog. I don't know what the point spread
- 4:53is. But I would imagine in that scenario, two teams with the same
- 4:58record and the home team most likely would be the favorite in the game.
- 5:03In this kind of situation, you're traveling in the Hollywood holidays, maybe some
- 5:08of them with the coach basically on how the team sometimes let the kids and
- 5:14all that come with you. In this situation, when the game is actually
- 5:17on, you have all these things going on the distraction. So h but
- 5:23that is the Christmas Day lineup. But all of it starts tonight Thursday night
- 5:28football the WHOA Nation. Two of my old teams, the first team I
- 5:33ever played for and the third team I ever played for, the Saints doing
- 5:39battle versus the Rams. Both are fighting for their playoff lives with the same
- 5:46record, New Orleans trying to win the division, Rams trying to get a
- 5:49wild card. Both you look, especially with the Rams, you feel they
- 5:54would have to win out to get that wild card. The Saints at seven
- 5:59seven and somebody's gonna win in division at nine and eight. So the Saints
- 6:04trying to win tonight. But I do have my crew in the building today.
- 6:10They have their pen, they have their paper, they have like nine
- 6:13phones and four or five computers. Man, if they would have focused like
- 6:18this in high school, what a world we would have had in front of
- 6:27us. If the three geniuses right here put this kind of forethought into life,
- 6:32we'd have never met. We that's I know we would have met.
- 6:35No, I'd have been using your product, you big Kenny's cancer free spray.
- 6:42I was gonna say, you probably already have used the product, but
- 6:46no you haven't. No, no, no, no, no. Good
- 6:47morning, gentlemen, Good morning. You change tradition. You change tradition for
- 6:53me. You said, uh so, get out there on the treadmill,
- 6:56which traditionally is exercising. Then you said, or the street corner and run.
- 7:00And I was thinking that don't sound like Nina street corners. I was
- 7:03on that don't sound we don't you don't jog on the street corner. And
- 7:06they show up. You know what, we just be standing around do we
- 7:11whoop woop? Here we start running command you Greg, Good morning, sir,
- 7:15Good morning, Kenny enlighten us that you are a stand up comedian by
- 7:18night, a secret stand up comedian sports jock. I didn't know. I
- 7:24have take the pleasure of introducing yourself. How do you mean when they take
- 7:30you to the stay, you don't what is your code name? I don't.
- 7:33I don't have a code name. I go by my government name.
- 7:36Okay, command, yes, okay, okay, okay. I was telling
- 7:44Keny, I took about ten years off and just I need another creative outlet,
- 7:53so I re entered the stand up arena. Okay, how long have
- 7:56you been back in the stand up career? About three weeks? Three weeks?
- 8:01How many shows have you done? Just one? Just one. We're
- 8:05at at the Laughing School Lounge in Midtown and I'm waiting to find out if
- 8:13I get I signed it for another open mic next and maybe next month.
- 8:18So once I get that confirmed, I'll want y'all know the day if you
- 8:20want to come out now. These typically are deep ocean moments, you know,
- 8:28these kind of secrets, deep deep oceans. I used to teach class
- 8:33at the club he performs. I talked for seven years there where I usually
- 8:37like shoot the person Cemt Shoe them and throw them up so there's no way
- 8:43and I stand behind them and go, that's what you get. You kept,
- 8:46you kept this for me. Well, no, i've seen you in
- 8:48the last three weeks. Yes, I actually I saw you like three days
- 8:52ago mention it, and then you never mentioned that you were a stand up
- 8:58comedian, and everybody got to check in. I tried to throw you a
- 9:01lifeline the other week. When I tell you about what I'm doing, I
- 9:03tell you if I'm going to call a high school game, I've you know,
- 9:07but you're you're keeping secrets. I'm snitching on him. I tried to
- 9:09well, we know we we haven't introduced you yet, though, sir,
- 9:13and command you Greg. Check in now when we get around to him,
- 9:18make sure he has something to say, because you got a lot to say
- 9:20about not on it, about this man. I'm going to command you and
- 9:24just trying. So we're gonna all get an invite to your next stand up.
- 9:28Yes. When I get get the the no no no no no no
- 9:33confirmed, be confirmed, I let you know. I don't want to put
- 9:35it out there, and then I appreciate it. I appreciate the love brother
- 9:39now supports shock. I could say that had he come to me instead of
- 9:43sitting around waiting for a notice to see if he had got on. I
- 9:48could have just said, hey, y'all put Greg on on this night,
- 9:52and he could have walked through the door and went straight up on the stage.
- 9:54But I didn't do that, you know why, because I ain't no,
- 9:58right, I wasn't sure if I could use you as a resource.
- 10:03I'm looking, wasn't I wasn't sure. I'm sure if if, if that
- 10:09was like proper protocol, hold on where where? Where would you say your
- 10:16comedy falls like, give us a recognizable name that your comedy would fall under
- 10:28if it's familiar with, maybe Stephen Wright or hilarious not not not one liners
- 10:39like Mitch Hedberg, but kind of that like dry humor, dry humor,
- 10:43yeah, step People asked me what I was like as a kid. I
- 10:48said, small, but progressively larger, got dry dry okay, And the
- 10:56bad producer is also here one as well. What you got secrets about secret?
- 11:03I'm just saying that I tried to tell him a couple of weeks ago.
- 11:07When I seen it, I said, great job, Greg, You're
- 11:09back in the thing, and we talked about it. He tried to downplay
- 11:11it when we was in here. So that means that you knew and you
- 11:15didn't tell us you knew he was no you am a lifeline to say not
- 11:20talking about him, sir, we all ganged. You knew he was under
- 11:24cover, and you ain't tell the rest of the game. That is that
- 11:26correct? So I told you that Greg was outside, that Greg was doing
- 11:30comedy at the thing. Now now he lying on the with basically all three
- 11:35of y'all, all three y'all, I gotta, I gotta recad. I'm
- 11:43telling I got a record, I got, I got him, I got
- 11:50young thug over there, and now I got the both y'all see and Gunner
- 11:52over he's gonna make a deal for sit back and relaxed and got a great
- 11:58show for you today as we roll into Christmas, a lot of NFL,
- 12:03a lot of college news with National Signing Day number one as command you.
- 12:07Greg said he was confused about so that and much more. When we come
- 12:13back from break on the Sports Shock shows, What's your Name? The full
- 12:16got spots were trying to figure was dealing a tank. I will go a

- 13:43full of uncertainty. She thought she'd never have a permanent place to call home.
- 13:50Before I was adopted, I felt like I wasn't enough. I had
- 13:54this hole in my heart and I never knew what I needed to patch that
- 13:58hole. My mom asks to adopt me. That holes closed. It feels
- 14:03so normal now to say that I'm a part of this family. I am
- 14:07surrounded by love, I feel safe, and that hole inside of me is
- 14:11gone. I am whole. I'm finally enough, just as I am.

- 15:03Brought to you by the American Lung Association and the AD Council. And now
- 15:09back to the sports. John Wayne Candy, the Jock of the Day is
- 15:15sponsored by Mattress HEROESUSA dot com The sleep you deserve at a price you can
- 15:20afford. No, no, no, no no, It's time to present
- 15:22the Jock of the Day on the Sports jocksho He's taking it to a completely
- 15:26different level this year, where we highlight an appoli that has taken their game
- 15:31to the next level. Well, oh, lord just made another one.
- 15:41Huh packing the mail is gone. See I gotta smell colooney. I'm just
- 15:46down the deal the mom Yeah, yeah, I go. I won't good
- 15:50good play if you won't this do I'm a young CEO shoe. Yeah,
- 15:52yeah, yeah, what's back to the more shock show. I'm the sport
- 15:56Shock Wayne Candy x n FUT running back Rishard mendon Hall. Some of you
- 16:03may know him from running the ball with the Arizona Cardinals or the Pittsburgh Stillers.
- 16:12Rashard Mendon Hall deciding that he would voice his opinion on something that I'm
- 16:22trying to figure out why the PC generation is letting slide in such a slick
- 16:30way. Menden Hall says that he's sick of average white guys commenting on football.
- 16:44He's sick of average white guys commenting on football. Now, when he
- 16:52says it that way, I don't know if he's talking to referencing people on
- 16:56in the media, or he's just reference be people online. Maybe he's an
- 17:02online person or what he does watch and go to games bars. These are
- 17:07the average white guys that's coming commenting on football. He proposes what I find
- 17:23to be racist for anyone to say of any color, and that is he
- 17:33proposes a racial bowl game where he wants the white Pro Bowlers to play against
- 17:48black Pro Bowlers. Now, when I read this, in my stance,
- 17:57is I just blackout a name? I put in another name, and then
- 18:06I say it again, so still just saying Rashard Mendenhall says this, I
- 18:12put in Julian Edelman. So how this would have sparked if Julian Edelman,
- 18:26the great from the Patriots receiver would have made a statement and proposed these same
- 18:37kind of parameters, That's how you figure out where I saw this in my
- 18:47mind. But this is his answer because he says he's sick of average white
- 18:56guys commenting on football, that he would like to replace the Pro Bowl with
- 19:04an all black versus all white Bowl. Big Kenny Bad, producer Commanchie Gregg,
- 19:14Rashad Minnen Hall and his racist Bowl. Any kind of viewership for it,
- 19:23Yeah, I think he would get a lot of viewership for it,
- 19:29just because of the spectacle that it would be. I think that it would
- 19:33call into question a great many things for the people who would even participate in
- 19:38something like this. It is definitely a racist statement, and I think it's
- 19:45a loaded racist statement in that when the teams are selected and tallied, then
- 19:52it's gonna be an y'all white y'all can't get a player from that era,
- 19:56a naw that player or what if the white team wins, then it's all
- 20:02it was. It was arranged. You knew they were gonna make it.
- 20:06The ref blew the call for the white for the black team because he wanted
- 20:10the white How do you do that? How do you have a race war
- 20:15and then officiated in a nonpartisan way? Comagie, It's just all nonsensical for
- 20:29me, because I think there's a I think some people try to create that
- 20:34narrative of if it depending on the race of the analyst or whatever, and
- 20:41people want to use their career to determine if they are smart enough to or
- 20:48or knowledgeable enough to talk about the game that they actually played. But they
- 20:52used their career as like another requirement, and that's not always the case.
- 20:59It'll be guys who the backup quarterback, he could be analyst. If he
- 21:03knows about the game, then he's gonna be put on TV in that way,
- 21:07or he could be the pro bowler Hall of famer, may not know
- 21:11enough and he's terrible on TV. So trying to use the person's career,
- 21:18uh, it just makes it the their argument collapses on itself. And bad
- 21:23producer when when you hear him say the average white guys come in and on
- 21:29him, who do you think he's referring to, Well, some of the
- 21:33some of the the analysts somewhat like play by play announcers, or possibly like
- 21:41the the Greenberg's, the Pat mcfee's, the Dan Patricks. Then you have
- 21:49a couple players we I bought, I said, Chris Sims said something last
- 21:52week. We just we sort of said, nobody listened to Chris Silams.
- 21:56That's why he's Christian. We just know his daddy. So I think that's
- 22:00where he's coming from on that name. Now, when people say they don't
- 22:03listen to Chris Simms, could that be Rashad Mendenhall. Is that the other
- 22:11ninety of people who watch sports that never played, Because if that's the case,
- 22:17Chris Simms has more experience than nine people. Yeah. But I referenced
- 22:23Chris Simms to a story, like I said a couple of weeks ago,
- 22:26and we were like, that's Chris Sims. We just as Chris Silms.
- 22:30He he got credibility. But I don't remember that on our show. You
- 22:33must have been on another the Sports Shop show somewhere. No, I find
- 22:37a story I have referenced Chris Silms to, like something he had something that
- 22:41he had said to something And I'm just saying he's one of those guys this
- 22:48that that we that they look at to have a problem with a couple of
- 22:52things. One he never mentioned Chris Sims here and we were talking about Cam
- 22:59Newton extensively last week and he never said nothing. And that's not me testifying
- 23:03on the staying snitching on him. That's just me being accurate in journalism.
- 23:07Number two to fine average white guy what so so, Julie Nantlman can make
- 23:14a comment, but Pat McAfee came they were both professional football players, and
- 23:18Terry Bradshaw could make a comment, but uh, we'll talk about on the
- 23:25other side of the break. So basically asking what how much football, how
- 23:29much basketball, how much baseball? How do we quantify do you quantify not
- 23:33being average to be able to report? Because we always talk about the biggest
- 23:38voice in sports is Stephen A. Smith and he makes all kind of incendiarra
- 23:48comments about football players and he never played football. We'll be back more to
- 23:52Sports Shock Show right after this time. Play Wash Your Body Soap, Loan,

- 25:12about something exciting life insurance. Three quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a
- 25:18critical piece of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have life insurance.
- 25:22When I was twenty five, me and my wife were just getting started
- 25:26with our family and thought we lived forever life insurance. What's the last thing
- 25:29on my mind? What about you? Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 25:33When I was forty, with a kid in college and bills piling up,
- 25:34I was worried how my family was survive without me. That's what I'm

- 25:48or benefits. The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 25:52whether you earn a little or a lot, All you need is the insurance
- 25:55informant to help you build a foundation of security, because without you, your
- 26:00family will have two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave

- 26:10dot com. Hi, We're the Goo goo dolls. We're fortunate that our
- 26:14daughters have what they need to grow and learn, but that isn't the case
- 26:17for nearly thirteen million kids in the US that struggle with hunger. Childhood hunger
- 26:22is a heartbreaking reality that Feeding America is working to change. Each year,
- 26:26the Feeding American network of food banks rescues billions of pounds of good food that
- 26:30would have gone to waste and provides it to families and children in need.
- 26:33You can help kids in need in your community by visiting Feeding America dot org.
- 26:37Brought to you by Feeding America and the AD Council. And now back
- 26:45to the sports job, Wayne Gamby, in the Radzo way, you will
- 27:00stop playing cat cheek. I could be a fantasy. I could tell you
- 27:04got big, big tenergy. It's too many of them. They can have
- 27:08a meet, but I'm let you try it up. What about this?
- 27:12What shock? Show them? This what shock? Wadning Candy, Good morning
- 27:15to you. On this Thursday before Christmas, rolling into the weekend, a
- 27:21lot of big games on Christmas Day. Tonight Thursday Night, Football Saints Rams
- 27:26start off the NFL week. There are three games on Monday Night for the
- 27:33NFL and There's two games on Saturday as well, and most of these games
- 27:40at this point in the season very intriguing because a lot of playoff implications.
- 27:45When you look at Cincinnati versus the Stillers on Saturday, that's do or die
- 27:52for both teams. When you look at Buffalo versus the Chargers, chargers out
- 27:56of it. But the Bills need a win. Can they build on the
- 28:00win they had against the Cowboys? A couple of bowl games, I'm quite
- 28:04sure sprinkled in there as well. They just seem to pop on without any
- 28:10kind of notification. He's just sitting there and wiping your eyes, and it's
- 28:14a bowl game on You don't know whether it's a replay or instant classic.
- 28:19It's just a bowl game on your television. But we left talking about x
- 28:26NFL running back Rashan Minning. Hall is coming. He's sick of average white
- 28:30guys coming on football. He proposes a Race Bowl where the Pro Bowl.
- 28:37Well, first of all, it would be the same thing if it's in
- 28:41the framework of a Pro Bowl kind of event. He still wouldn't get anyone
- 28:45to play. That's why they've changed it. But in theory, his mind
- 28:49is taking him to all black versus All White Bowl, which still as even
- 28:56Big Kenny alluded to people like the bat do Sir, who would be going
- 29:00for the all black team. He would be betting all his money. Then
- 29:03he could easily be upset because in football, just like in I would say
- 29:15baseball as well, there is no clear I think the clearest where I could
- 29:22I would sit here, like okay, it's clearly an advantage in the NBA
- 29:27as we see it in our country. You can see the edge just because
- 29:37of the participation. If this happened in real life on a football or baseball
- 29:42diamond, that clear cut advantage is not there as you want to sit there.
- 29:51Even JJ wats the great legend defensive end, he said, really all
- 29:53the problem he sees is at corner. That is true because in the NFA
- 30:00you don't really have a lot of white corners, if any at all.
- 30:08But you know, we're not we're not going in the past. We're actually
- 30:11talking about current game today. That was the but other than but other than
- 30:18that, I can feel now I know a lot of you sit there and
- 30:22you keep Yes, the NFL is majority, that is true. But when
- 30:30I started attacking you with Jason Kelsey and Cooper Cupp and these guys, I
- 30:37don't want you to be getting mad over there. And then with Patrick Mahomes,
- 30:40it's not decided on who. I don't know which side I'm gonna play
- 30:44the first half for the brothers and then the second half I'm gonna play for
- 30:48Mama. Now, but our big question is the statement of average white guys.
- 30:52The bad producer is basically saying, maybe Rishard, who we think is
- 30:57a television writer or he writes for some of the networks, as for their
- 31:04program, the dramas, I thought that's what something he was doing, seems
- 31:08to maybe be watching commentating and not happy with maybe the statistics or the careers
- 31:15of some of what the people who are on the other side have to say.
- 31:22Rashad, I think played eight years, but six six years and he
- 31:30won a Super Bowl with the Steelers. Steelers, Yes, so he seems
- 31:34to be looking at how he felt he played versus how but some guys,
- 31:42as even Commandchi Greg alluded to that, especially X quarterbacks might have played,
- 31:51they might not have played a lot, They've been around a lot. Their
- 31:53opinion as far as the x's and os, I guess that irritates him to
- 31:57the point that he made this statement. I just find it shocking how it's
- 32:04you in this case when it said one way, it has no kind of
- 32:09inflammatory media and when anytime it seems like a white person is uh going down
- 32:23this road, it just instantly becomes something that the bad producer would have ran
- 32:30in here shouting at the top of his lungs. Did you hear what JJ
- 32:36riddick, If you know, if something like that, it's just he was
- 32:42racist, And that's just how it is, just that way in our country,
- 32:45because that that's how we see that race barrier. Now sports shock,
- 32:50I want to ask you said that the advantage in the NBA is clear,
- 32:53you don't think that we could find no, I say it clearer, I
- 32:57didn't clear clear. Okay, okay, because I was going to ask,
- 33:01do you do you think that there would be a way to uh put on
- 33:05the court a five and five based on the race and the white players not
- 33:10be commendable and even having an equal chance of winning that game. I'm sure
- 33:19we could pick five NBA players that are white that could get any That's what
- 33:22I said. Clear where I can kind of see where you could maybe give
- 33:27the advantage more than I can see you taking nine baseball white guys because nine
- 33:36black black guys and saying, oh, this black team. And I'm like,
- 33:40I don't know about that now, you know, because when Greg Kim
- 33:46will get up there in the ninth throwing that heat, Well, so how
- 33:52you hear that in the club. Yeah, it's a little clearer. That's
- 33:57why the Dominican is gonna be although they're gonna be on the what side they're
- 34:01gonna play off, they wouldn't be involved because that's not what he said.
- 34:05He didn't say Dominicans, he says, I mean no, no, no,
- 34:08no, no, no, no. You know they're talking about black
- 34:10Americans. You know what he is just don't do that, see, And
- 34:15that's what I'm saying. And that's what I'm saying. That's why it sounds
- 34:17so ridiculous because if the white player said, okay, let's do it today,
- 34:23then the black people as a whole would start piecing and picking there.
- 34:30No, no, no, his skin color, well he's from Nigeria.
- 34:34Well no, no, that's steel and those things don't count. That's not
- 34:37what he meant when he said that. And you know that's not what he
- 34:39meant when he said that. If you don't fall within the parameters of what
- 34:45he's saying, then you wouldn't get to play. So if you are what
- 34:52I think Marcus Barriota is, yeah, Polynesian, Polynesian, so he's not
- 35:00valuable for your team either way in that case, so the same thing to
- 35:07attack of Lowa could not play, he could not play, right and in
- 35:15that case, well, and again we're back when you say the average white
- 35:22guy. Now, if that team beats you and you're superb preparation as a
- 35:29black team, what does that make you if average white guys beat the super
- 35:32black team. No, he was saying average being in like talking on the
- 35:37game. He didn't say average white players. He said he's sick of average
- 35:42white guys commenting on football, which I said, I think is a reference
- 35:45towards the people he might see on TV TV. But those guys don't have
- 35:51to be necessarily Joe Montana. That's true because Joe Montana may not be able
- 35:58to articulate your career. A lot of guys don't have that. They might
- 36:02be able to play the game and not be able to speak the game.
- 36:06And what about it. I don't know that his career in six years makes
- 36:09him any more authority than Tony Romo who played thirteen years or something like that.
- 36:15So I don't know where he which commentator he's referring to. Right,
- 36:22Well, that's the question that we know that we need to get an answer
- 36:24from Richard. You know, No, we don't. I don't need to
- 36:28get any answer from Richard. After he said he wants a white and versus
- 36:31Black Bowl, he answered all the questions I need to know about how he's
- 36:37handling this situation. The Falcons are going with Taylor Hennikey again at quarterback.
- 36:46The Stellers are going with Mason Rudolph again. Here's the deal with this is
- 36:53I kind of alluded to on Monday for you NFL team? When is it
- 36:59the other players fault? When? When? When is the team just not
- 37:07good enough? Like I asked these Falcon not Falcon fans, but the people
- 37:13who live in Atlanta. And it took us a Google search to realize who
- 37:17the second receiver was for the Falcon did It took us a whole Google?
- 37:22So I asked you to as we go to break think about that. When
- 37:25is it the other the It's not Mason Rudolph or Kenny Pickett or It's not
- 37:31whether it is Tyler Hennikey or Desmond Ritter. When is it the other guys
- 37:39that don't walk and the don't catch and the don't tackle. When when is
- 37:45it? When is the fall at their feet? Ain't nobody on defense got
- 37:50replaced that they need to be replaced because I don't never hear about that kind
- 37:53of move, Like we took a j Terrell and decided to go with this
- 37:58guy, because yeah, you don't hear. You just always hear the quarterback
- 38:02or the head coach. But what about the center? The center did not
- 38:08pick up the blitz guys, We never talk about that. You never hear
- 38:13people talk about the other people. It is a team sport. And as
- 38:16the coach is pulling you, you like, but he coach, why am
- 38:22I sittingey E Misster Blitz? Though we'll be back with more in a sports
- 38:24jock show right after this. Do it? Do it? Do it?
- 38:28Do it? These over thirty three es to do it. They put the

- 41:55If you miss any of the show so far, you can go to spot
- 41:59Off or Apple Podcasts and check us out right after the show. A couple
- 42:05of things you've missed Thursday night football Saints Rams tonight. A lot of implications
- 42:09for both teams there seven and seven. We got three weeks to go.
- 42:13They both are fighting for their playoff lives. Thanks trying to win the division.
- 42:17Right now they are with lose the tiebreaker to the Bucks. The Rams
- 42:22trying to get a wild card. The NFL, as you always know,
- 42:25they invade Saturdays once college football is over. So two games on Saturday it
- 42:31will be Sincy versus the Stillers, both teams fighting for their playoff lives.
- 42:37And then Buffalo versus the Chargers out in LA. What makes the Chargers dangerous
- 42:45is there under new leadership, So that first game under new leadership, you
- 42:51don't really know what's going to happen because you don't know how those people think.
- 42:55When you look at the team. We do know that the quarterback is
- 43:00out Herbert. But you reshuffle the deck, you come up with new schemes,
- 43:05new people get in the game. I would take the Bills because they
- 43:08have more to play for. But all the unknowns happening. Then the three
- 43:13Christmas Games, the Reds versus the Chiefe Giants Philly and the Night Capper.
- 43:20As I said, save that cheesecake or pecan pie, whatever you eat on
- 43:23Christmas for that Monday Night football. We talked about Rashard Mendon Hall and his
- 43:30racest Bowl comment just too far. I think for at least three of the
- 43:36four people on the panel. I won't point out the fourth person, who
- 43:40I think is totally witted, but he's from the Carolinas out of us four,
- 43:46so if you're a longtime listener, you will know there's only one person
- 43:51up here from the Carolina area and his initials are bad. Producer and we
- 44:00found out that Greg commands she Greg has been lying to the show members for
- 44:07at least three weeks that he is back on the stand up stage. During
- 44:15comedy, he's a dry comedian, which I can see that the little sneaky
- 44:22you know, yeah, yeah, the the zinger he hits you at theer.
- 44:28I can't wait to see him up there so I can give him a
- 44:30round of boo when I get there to see it. National Signing Day was
- 44:36yesterday around the country for the first time. This is for as I said,
- 44:42Remember I started to show off and I said, the Liberals have just
- 44:45decided they're just going to just rip up any tradition. It was a long
- 44:50standing tradition that the first Wednesday in the month of February was the National Signing
- 44:57Day all the way back to my time. And then it became the liberal
- 45:04where everybody decided that no, what we need to do is we need to
- 45:08have an early signing day, which would be yesterday, which was a Wednesday,
- 45:16and we will let the kid sign. Some of them enrolled into college,
- 45:22so they will go to next semester and just start in practice. Some
- 45:27of them even allowed now to go start practicing with some teams that's still left
- 45:30in bowl games. Now, as I have said, since this has become
- 45:35a trend, I need to see more evidence that this going in that method
- 45:40helps my kids path to the pros faster. I'm still under the old tent
- 45:47that a kid, as we always talk about, needs that time to breathe,
- 45:52whether that is he used to play baseball at the high school, or
- 45:55he was on the basketball team or the track team. He needs to finish,
- 46:00he needs to go to the prom, he needs to go through all
- 46:04the traditions. Put that part of him completely the bed. Unless you're showing
- 46:08me that no eighty of guys that do it this way or pro bounum first
- 46:16round. If you're just showing me that he got a better Oh, he
- 46:21can learn the playbook and all that. Well. As I said, you
- 46:23want to be like Mike, but you don't want to go through what Mike
- 46:27went through. Me going to high school for six more months did not limit
- 46:32me from learning the playbook during the summer. For Auburn, do you think
- 46:37there's like a I feel there's like a risk. People like to just see
- 46:43the risk for injury, even though that could happen at any time where there
- 46:47are more players graduating in three years, so they're trying. They're taking all
- 46:52the classes to cramming all these classes in to graduate in three years so that
- 46:59when it gets to the end of that regular season, because more guys are
- 47:02opting out of the bowl games too, Like they're trying to minimize the risk
- 47:07as much as possible by not playing that bowl game and then not playing that
- 47:12that senior year. So like I'm gonna get ready for the draft now I've
- 47:15already graduated, so they're doing so it's all of that going into it.
- 47:20Do you think they're just trying to minimize the risk or what's the point of
- 47:24doing all that expand their pocket. They're trying to get to the money bag
- 47:30as fast as possible. It's not an injury thing. It's that I can
- 47:34start taking that NIO money tomorrow. That's what I signed for. When you
- 47:38see a kJ Bowden from Buford for two years now, I've been saying he's
- 47:45going to FSU, and then last night he flips and goes to Georgia,
- 47:49Well most likely that was that Georgia now took the money they had for Dylan
- 47:53Ryola, who decided to go to Nebraska for the bag, and now I
- 47:58can transfer that the kJ Bolden. I didn't have that extra four hundred thousand
- 48:02dollars. But then when Ryola said he wouldn't come, I called you and
- 48:07said, hey, I got a new extra bag for you. Might as
- 48:13well just come on over here and take the bag right now. So you
- 48:16had a bag and you got an extra bag. Yeah, because the other
- 48:20guy canceled out. Hold on Florida State on the other end, let me
- 48:22hold on just a second. Don't go on that you think this early siding
- 48:27day also is a where a lot of players may flip back in the day
- 48:34before the bat this the whole nil thing had got prominent in being known as
- 48:37it is now. But do you think a lot of times like taking that
- 48:40chance of waiting on the guy to going to sign in February when you still
- 48:44had those open recruits or some had their official visits they could go through in
- 48:47January and December. Well, this was the time of the official visit.
- 48:51That's why I said, all the tradition that has been ripped up, right,
- 48:53you used to play your high school career. Anything before the end of
- 48:57your high school career was an unofficial visit. In the month of December January
- 49:01were when you went and took your four or five visits to make your Yeah
- 49:07you have five officials, yes, but they have just ripped up all take
- 49:12it fast. Paced you. Some of these are legitimate changes because I'm a
- 49:15different person than a year or eighteen months ago now and what happened at your
- 49:22school change, the coach got fired, this quarterback transferred. All this is
- 49:28going on, so it's almost why am I recruiting? And with the transferred
- 49:32portocol, I have to almost wait on that as well, to see who
- 49:37you grab in that, to see who leaves, to see if I can
- 49:39feel that spot. Now he don't want the three hundred thousand, I'll take
- 49:44it. We'll be back with more to Sports Jock Show right after this Don't

- 50:58the real talk on drugs, but it's time we know the facts. Fentanyl
- 51:01is killing people. It's a powerful opioid, often made illegally and commonly mixed

- 51:10medications. Just two milligrams, about the size of a few grains of sand,

- 51:58now back to the What's John Wayne Gandy Center Court on sports news gossip BLI
- 52:08blah blive basket Yeah, shake it go. No, I'm not needing the
- 52:14past the cities. I'm in the view of Blama with Monique playing in the
- 52:17well. T TJ Win got the brand new Hell. I know I had
- 52:20to find bad at me, but you can't turn throw it out baby now,
- 52:22I got him like she want to leave with her Besty. What got
- 52:24to show up? Les? Watsh up? Dwayne Gandy? Good morning to
- 52:29Yo. National Signing Day. Did your player go to the school that you
- 52:32thought it would? Georgia picking up three five star players, a lot of
- 52:39teams, Florida State, Oregon having good days. Kentucky got a lot of
- 52:44transfers over to I don't know what they're doing over there, but I guess
- 52:50they're allocating some of that basketball money over to the football team. They flipped
- 52:54a couple of people even grabbed Georgia's linebacker Do much onsen to come play for
- 53:01them? So it should be a wild West. Remember this is just the
- 53:06first one, the official on the docket. The first Wednesday in February is
- 53:13the next National signing Day. But it's just the wild West of sports now.
- 53:17So we will see and it'll come. You know, as I said
- 53:22to me, it has become just a semi pro, non college educated link.
- 53:30So you will go play, but it will just be for the football
- 53:35team that represents that universe Georgia or represents Auburn. You won't be an Auburn
- 53:43student. Just I just see it working out. You won't be an Auburn
- 53:46student. You would just go play semi pro ball for their football team.
- 53:51So Auburn would hire me to play for them. Basically, yes, because
- 53:57there is no class component, it might as well start being hiring you because
- 54:00that's all I'm doing them paying guys are high school players, have their own
- 54:06I want this much money by you know, these kind of perks, and
- 54:10if you can't make it, they're using early signing. When they start declaring
- 54:15when they're sophomores to use that as weight to make you up your bid right
- 54:22imember. These are quiet, silent bids. These aren't they're unregulated. There
- 54:28is no amount, there is no like you can't offer, but this much
- 54:34you can say that like the players are when they say that they're committed and
- 54:37they hadn't signed anywhere yet, that's like a signal too. Well, this
- 54:43is they have the best offer right now. Well, that's the thing.
- 54:46A lot of guys I know that are runners who work in the business for
- 54:51somebody thinks that's the thing they want to get. If they don't care who
- 54:54the offer is from, they just want to start getting the kids offers.
- 54:59So that'll make the others schools really look and so like you say, it
- 55:01makes the bad the bidding war starts from there. Yeah, that's that's the
- 55:06way to use it. I wouldn't trust that south more that tells me he's
- 55:10going to Georgia Tech to still be going to Georgia Tech three years later.
- 55:17Now, how long before a player negotiates positions himself strategizes himself out of actually
- 55:29going to college. I committed to Georgia Tech, but now I say I
- 55:32want to go to Kentucky. But then a dude from Florida State transfer to
- 55:36Kentucky and a guy from Oregon State comes down to and now nobody wants me.
- 55:43And I'm just sitting here with hey, hey, Georgia Tech. Remember
- 55:45way back when can we and Georgia Tech is now on some non were good
- 55:50and now all of a sudden, you're cheating my child out of an education
- 55:53and he deserves to. But you did that to yourself, you and your
- 55:58agency happened that would have to happened one hundred and thirty times. Yeah,
- 56:01that's not going to really like that's how many schools there are. If it's
- 56:06that many schools, then maybe just we're just not that good. Yeah,
- 56:08right, the loss might be monetarily by you, right, going back and
- 56:13forth, but you will find someone. You'll find a home to go.
- 56:15Okay because money talk and everything else is everything and uh two of it tagable
- 56:22Oha having to answer questions about his performance level, and I thought it was
- 56:30interesting as he was basically addressing criticism about how he would perform without Tyreek Hill.
- 56:43I don't get these questions that people And it spins back to anytime like
- 56:52we recently were talking about Cam Newton. Why do I have to be so
- 56:59who do you want me to throw to? You want me to take all
- 57:01the good players? I have not have them? No more. Who succeeded
- 57:06without good players? M no one that I'm trying to say, you know
- 57:15who succeeded. But they speak on it well too, of what do you
- 57:19think? Well, if Tyreek's not there, Waddell's not there, most likely
- 57:22that's how it works. The success comes in combinations. But the last game
- 57:29he had Waalds, so he threw the ball to him. I had to
- 57:31throw to who's out here at some point and hope that this day somebody steps
- 57:37up. But his thing was that everybody keeps asking him can he be successful
- 57:43without Tyreek Hill? No, I'm gonna be more successful with him than without
- 57:49him. That's just how it works. But I know the pundence of sports
- 57:52seems to be trying to judge a person in his bear. They're just him,
- 58:00So it's just you. And that's why I keep going back to,
- 58:04like I asked y'all guys earlier, with the Stellers, the Falcons, the
- 58:07Jets, you keep rotating quarterbacks like it's the quarterback fault. What about the
- 58:13rest of the team. Who are those guys? Now? Let me,
- 58:15does anybody talk about how bad the Jets offensive line is? This is terrible.
- 58:21I'm sure the quarterback of the Jets is talking about he can't stop talking
- 58:25about how horrible it is, but nobody is listening to him. Everybody wants
- 58:30to put is that another we've started to show off talking about tradition? Has
- 58:36that traditionally been the model for football teams when things start to go awry,
- 58:42the two heads that roll are the head coach or the quarterback. We haven't
- 58:45even talked about how the defense can't stop. Nobody the special teams have never
- 58:51done anything. Our coordinators or rookies themselves. We never bring that up,
- 58:57and everybody has always digested that as what needs to be done. We're quick
- 59:02to move quarterbacks everywhere. Is that our fault? And That's what I'm saying
- 59:07we're talking about on the other side of the break. When I asked the
- 59:10bad producer, Sometimes the Falcons forget who was the quarterback. The last couple
- 59:16of games the Falcons had lost, the other team took the ball at the
- 59:22end, the Falcons had the lead. All I can do is get the
- 59:27lead, and they let the team drive down and win the game. The
- 59:31other team do that, but then the next day the report is the offense
- 59:38horrible. Didn't do it? They was. But I gave you the lead.
- 59:43But but you ain't give us a big enough lead for that long.
- 59:45I gave you twenty seven to twenty four. But see how much town was
- 59:51late. That's not in my control though. Oh there you go, There
- 59:54you go, the excuse us, there you go. See that's why benching
- 1:00:00what it is. Well the Sports Shock Show, baby babe, he thank

- 1:03:07Christmas Day no longer belongs to the NBA, but you can just keep going
- 1:03:12back and forth NBA on all day to catch out your favorite teams as well.
- 1:03:17Talked about Rashad menden Hall racial comments that just went under the radar for
- 1:03:24a bad producer. We talked about two Attack with the Oh. We also
- 1:03:29talked about quarterbacks. A lot of quarterbacks being replaced. This has been the
- 1:03:35year of the rotating quarterback, not just the backup the rotating quarterbacks where teams
- 1:03:42every other week seems to be trying to figure out which, Like the Vikings.
- 1:03:45I don't know who the Vikings are going to put out there this week,
- 1:03:49but they seem to have three guys and they kind of wait and see.
- 1:03:53Have they announced who's going to start? Nick Mullins? Okay, Nick
- 1:03:58Mullins. Remember Nick Mullins. You know Nick from the university. Yeah,
- 1:04:00he's back out there. Uh So he can't even believe who are the Jets
- 1:04:04going with? They have not announced it from what I've seen. Okay,
- 1:04:10so that's what I'm saying. They just they we're gonna wing it. Show
- 1:04:15up. Uh So. C J. Stroud of the Texans looks like he's
- 1:04:19going to be out another game, so they're gonna go with Case Keenan or
- 1:04:24Miles Mills, Davis Davis Mills, Davis Mills. I'm sorry, same dude.
- 1:04:31It could be a whole another dude they're expecting, you know, I'm
- 1:04:39sorry it would be Case Keenu. So with a lot of rotating at quarterbacks,
- 1:04:44just proofing that all around the Celebration Bowl that was here on Saturday,
- 1:04:48between fam you and Howard the smallest audience in history. Uh. They put
- 1:04:56that for that game, it's the smallest Celebration Bowl audience in the history of
- 1:05:01the Bowl. Uh. And I guess that comes that that game really,
- 1:05:08over the last couple of years with the Prime Effect is what stood out.
- 1:05:13I don't know that anyone was paying too much attention to it before Dion Sanders,
- 1:05:17and when they would, it would mostly be about the two teams and
- 1:05:23their fan bases and how I had done a lot of winning here in recent
- 1:05:28years. So you imagine their fans probably were not all that, let's go
- 1:05:32from Washington, d c. To Atlanta, because we know how that is.
- 1:05:40So it would always, like any Bowl is about not just the matchup,
- 1:05:44but the fan base. And see, you can take two teams that
- 1:05:46have rich fan bases who might not have had a great season and still get
- 1:05:50a great audience or a great watch. I think with the Celebration Bowl over
- 1:05:55the last couple of years, it's been a lot of what they're looking for,
- 1:05:58the spectacle of Dion and not who actually played. If you asked people
- 1:06:02who probably attended, they couldn't tell you. They could tell you Dion team
- 1:06:06was there, but who beat Dion and not something they would know, and
- 1:06:11a lot of times I think, and it's interesting we bring this up this
- 1:06:14morning. We had comments earlier from our loyal listener Donnie Brown, who is
- 1:06:18HBCU alone and had made us here at the show aware through some information he
- 1:06:26shared with me about the tracking of the HBCU Celebration Bowls and championship games like
- 1:06:31that as compared to the CFB, and they were saying that they are comparable
- 1:06:38in the impact that they have economically and the number of fans that they draw.
- 1:06:43I sometimes think with HBCU sports, they're thinking about their regular season attendance
- 1:06:48and so when they see seven, fifteen, twenty thousand people, they think,
- 1:06:54hey, that's a nice turnout. But when we're talking about a place
- 1:06:57like Mercedes been Stadium that does and translate to what people who sell big time
- 1:07:02sports see as profitable. It may be a good turnout for this level of
- 1:07:09athletics, but we're talking about nationally televised games. We got the Vice President
- 1:07:13of the United States sitting here, and it just doesn't deliver on that.
- 1:07:16Not saying that they didn't try hard, not saying that it wasn't a great
- 1:07:19game, not saying that these people don't deserve to go to their championship.
- 1:07:24But it's just not big time what we consider. And you know it has
- 1:07:28been on NBC. It got put on NBC last few years cost of Prime,
- 1:07:31but before that you had it was it was noticeable, like Kenny said,
- 1:07:35and you heard all week the promotion was with Howard being with like the
- 1:07:40last three mayors, a couple of mayors being Howard graduates, and the Tallahasset
- 1:07:44considered theyself Atlanta North. So if you would hear the from the HBC people
- 1:07:49like you said within the fifteen two thousand, thinking that thought it was good,
- 1:07:53they'd be like, yeah, it was great. Hold on one of
- 1:07:57our loyal listeners, classmate of mind, Frank Crump the third says, wait,
- 1:08:01that's not what the article said. It was talking about TV audience,
- 1:08:06not actual fans, a fan within. They were here and but GV,
- 1:08:12yeah it was down. Well what And that's what I'm saying generally, when
- 1:08:15you have a situation where at home, we might be in front of eight
- 1:08:21thousand people, then we come here and we got twenty seven thousand to us.
- 1:08:26We did it, but that's not what we're selling. We're selling it
- 1:08:30to NBC, and NBC is looking like, ain't nobody watching this twitty ratings
- 1:08:34down? Then the next nobody knows is back on some cable network and you
- 1:08:40you would have to find it on you know, NIS or something like ESPN
- 1:08:44plus. Yeah, ESPN three, something that somebody would have to sports.
- 1:08:47So it is TV audience. If I'm sorry if I didn't make sure the
- 1:08:51audience TV audience. They haven't given out the numbers of the actual actual attends
- 1:08:58in the stay d Yes, so that what's your friend name, Frank Crump?
- 1:09:02Okay, Frank Crump. The third that's something different too. So we
- 1:09:08got TV audience, we got actual people who went in the stadium, yes,
- 1:09:13and then we have the people who just came to the city for the
- 1:09:16function. So we we haven't gotten to the other two because we don't know
- 1:09:20how to quantify that, but we do know it was down to like a
- 1:09:25point nine as far as TV audiences, and it was the lowest for the
- 1:09:29Celebration Bowl in a while, if not history. In the game and they
- 1:09:33knock on the game, it's just that you do have to with bowls,
- 1:09:36just like comanchie greg said Guys, opting out the value of the Bowl game
- 1:09:41has lost its luster on all levels because of the bowl game used to be.
- 1:09:47You had to play and it still had something to do with the national
- 1:09:50title. As you keep developing the playoffs, as guys keep opting out,
- 1:09:58you can turn on a bowl game. And and the other night they had
- 1:10:01Josh mc dowell, McGowan's son playing against Todd Pennington. What's the quarterback used
- 1:10:09to be for the Ja Marshalls. They were both red shirt freshmen. Because
- 1:10:14the two guys that were see yours and ain't no need for us to play
- 1:10:17today, so they kind of move on. And that's just how like I
- 1:10:20said, the high school guys now can go practice. It's just a whole
- 1:10:25lot going on. And they responded at the same time, almost up forty
- 1:10:29one thousand in attendance at the game. At the game, Yes, okay,
- 1:10:33bad producer doubts y'all what y'all want to say about that? No,
- 1:10:36I said, I just said for good Yeah, that was good now.
- 1:10:41And this is the thing that I wonder if that's eddit George right, I
- 1:10:45wonder if when you hear Howard, who hasn't done much winning, was in
- 1:10:50this celebration Bowl and the TV ratings weren't that good. I wonder if the
- 1:10:57college football playoff people along some take that Florida State. That's what we're talking
- 1:11:01about. If we don't have the right combination of teams in the championship game,
- 1:11:06nobody's gonna watch. Ask those listeners because it was a question, and
- 1:11:10no one ever seen how much is the payout for the Celebration Bowl compared to
- 1:11:14the other Bowls games? But you would have to look that up now.
- 1:11:16I was just wondering since they snapped it to me, I've been trying to
- 1:11:20find out because I was part of the ratings. I watched the game myself.
- 1:11:25I like it was a game that came on a nice time. I
- 1:11:28was on the treadmill. I watched the game happened, so I enjoyed to
- 1:11:32watch the game. So so they got our number, Yeah, they got
- 1:11:34my number right right. I watched our numbers tallied, but it was still
- 1:11:40the lower Yeah. So, but that's how the Celebration Bowl. One other
- 1:11:45note on college Tim Beck, who is the coach of Coast of Carolina,
- 1:11:50the bad producer is reporting excuse me, yeah, Coast of Carolina has taken
- 1:11:56some heat because he took a shirtless beach picture. Yes, at the in
- 1:12:01the bowl game out in Hawaii. But the game is in Hawaii, right
- 1:12:05when't wouldn't you be shirtless? It's not just in Hawaii. It was in
- 1:12:11Hawaii at the beach. It makes sense a little bit. And he took
- 1:12:15a photo with the I guess, the team cheerleaders and the mascot. Yeah,
- 1:12:24it wasn't unlike myself. I was in math class and took my shirt
- 1:12:28off, so that was an issue. Well, you can't do that in
- 1:12:30math class. Put on the beach in Hawaii, it makes sense, But
- 1:12:34I mean, I don't. I don't don't. I didn't get how it
- 1:12:38was gone. They said it was a situation that went wrong. It was
- 1:12:41like the Coastal Carolina had put it on their Twitter x account, which is
- 1:12:45formally Twitter, put it out there and then it started getting a lot of
- 1:12:49views and people's like comments and different things. So then they deleted it because
- 1:12:55they felt like some people were saying like that was inappropriate. He shouldn't be
- 1:12:59on there the beach with his shirt off as a football coach. But like
- 1:13:01you said, how many any people have been to college? How many people
- 1:13:05that criticize they have been to college. You haven't been to college and then
- 1:13:09went to the beach with some cheerleaders shirts coming off. I don't know about
- 1:13:15you, but a shirt is coming off somewhere when you're on the beach in
- 1:13:17Hawaii with some cheerleaders. We'll be back, we'll talk about it. I
- 1:13:21just don't understand the coach at the beach, and at the beach it sounded
- 1:13:28like beach, like the beach, sound like to beat. We'll be back
- 1:13:31right after this, John Boy, Wayne Born of the Sports John Show with

- 1:18:30Samuel seventy five, seventy five. I want you to know I'm sick
- 1:18:35and tired of this mother seventy five. I just want to know who on
- 1:18:40that nag say thank you, Steven Samuel L. Jackson. We left talking
- 1:18:48about the coach Tim Beck from Coasta, Carolina and people having an issue with
- 1:18:56him being in a photo at the beach, had on regular beat shorts and
- 1:19:02just took a photo with the your team, which I'm quite sure in those
- 1:19:08environments. Have you've ever been to a Bowl game, you have a lot
- 1:19:10of team events where they get you in the same area. I see nothing
- 1:19:13wrong with the photo. I do not understand, and as I said,
- 1:19:17do not understand why I haven't been hearing more about coach Prime being part of
- 1:19:27the Chad Ocho Sinko. Oh my god, Shedning Sharp, Oh my god?
- 1:19:31Where is the outrage that coach Prime who is at a bigger school,
- 1:19:38a more visible coach. Nobody knows where Coastal Carolina. They don't even know
- 1:19:41where that school is. It sounds like somebody don't need to nowhere other than
- 1:19:45the people that's from the Carolinas, like the bad producer. So I know
- 1:19:48you can tell me, but most people you have to google where is Coastal
- 1:19:53Carolina? Carolina? Oh, we've been talking about for the last ten eleven
- 1:19:59months. Is coach Prime at Colorado And along with the great Shannon Sharp and
- 1:20:05the great Chad Johnson, we're on Shannon's late night show speaking about sexual positions
- 1:20:16and farting, And where is that outrage? I mean, you're saying,
- 1:20:24people are outraged about coach taking a picture with his shirt off beach, but
- 1:20:29nobody wants to talk about that. A d one head coach is on a
- 1:20:38show called Nightcap with unc and Ojo talking about sexual positions and farting. Where
- 1:20:49where is that outrage? Comanche? Has anyone's kids accidentally heard it somewhere?
- 1:20:57That's where it starts, It's on YouTube, it's all over everywhere. I'm
- 1:20:59just saying, but this coach just took a picture with the cheer team at
- 1:21:03a beach event, and now sports Jock for full disclosure in context, this
- 1:21:09wasn't just him strolling along the beach, saw the cheerleaders and went and took
- 1:21:13a picture. This is a what is a staged picture? They got the
- 1:21:17mascot, All of the cheerleaders are in matching swimsuits, two piece swimsuits.
- 1:21:24The mascot and the coaches shorts are color coordinated. The mascot's outfit and the
- 1:21:29coach is shorts are color coordinated with everybody else, and it looks like a
- 1:21:33photo op for the university. He's holding the university team's logo in his hand.
- 1:21:40It seems like everybody with where is the outrage for nightcap? With dion
- 1:21:47speaking, God, excuse me for my cold sexual positions and farts, and
- 1:21:55it's so explicit. I'm over here to the vavage. I mean, from
- 1:22:01what I heard, Dionna told him they were both nasty when they did make
- 1:22:04that comments, he was, you know, no, he took off his
- 1:22:08shades. Yeah, he told him they were nasty. No, no,
- 1:22:11but he did say, he said, and then say, no, don't
- 1:22:15hold back, give us the position, tell us the position y'all was in.
- 1:22:20He did say that, and then after they said what they said,
- 1:22:25he said, y'all were nasty And the clip is so explicit we can't even
- 1:22:29do it rage. They talked about more than just that right there. It
- 1:22:32was a lot they talked about. I'm sure this man did more than post.
- 1:22:36I'm quite sure he showed he came to the beach with a shirt on.
- 1:22:40Yeah. My understanding that the whole team, the cheer team, when
- 1:22:42they found out they was going to Hawaii, they ordered you didn't answer my
- 1:22:45question. I said that said they were nasty. Okay, where I said,
- 1:22:50where is the outrage? I didn't ask you what he said. Oh,
- 1:22:53I don't know what the outrage is that. I just know that I'm
- 1:22:57not outraged about coach back. They did order the cheerle's order to suit.
- 1:23:02Who would think of a mascot is walking around with the mascot uniform in Hawaii?
- 1:23:06So you know it had to be in stage. It was something a
- 1:23:10team event. Okay, So make sure you google Uncle Ocho on Nightcap with
- 1:23:15Prime Time. Listen scene if you haven't seen that, and listen and watch
- 1:23:20Dion get completely enthralled in uh sexual positions and the farting, and don't do
- 1:23:29the listen to the whole thing. They only give us one clip in a
- 1:23:32sound bite to crucify this, mate, And you want us to go watch
- 1:23:36two hours worth of Uncle Oho with Coach Prime on it, Stop and we'll
- 1:23:42be back more the Sportshock Show right after this. When you make that john't

- 1:26:49lounge on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy a blove like how you pull
- 1:27:05up? Are you up? How you put up a love step in the
- 1:27:14kitchen? Walk back to the Sports Shock show. I'm the Sports Shock Wayne
- 1:27:20Gan. I wish I could have played all that that break we just had
- 1:27:24Vic Kenny passionate, and I just kept thinking as we left, we were
- 1:27:28talking about Coach Prime Time Deon Sanders on a show called Nightcap with Unk who
- 1:27:34is Shannon Sharp? And Ocho who is Chad Johnson? And I kept thinking,
- 1:27:38Uh, they were talking about sexual positions and farting, and I kept
- 1:27:43it as I said, my sensibilities comand you Greg. Is what I do
- 1:27:47is I simply, which is always It's kind of like how the old adage
- 1:27:51of, uh, don't judge somebody until you put on their shoes. So
- 1:27:57what I do is I replace particularly people with other people. And if you
- 1:28:01can do that a couple of times, you kind of get to figure out
- 1:28:05whether it's right or wrong. You can really figure that out. So I
- 1:28:11replaced Shannon Sharp with Troy Aikman. So instead of being Shannon Sharp, Chad
- 1:28:16Johnson and Coach Prime, I had Troy Aikman talking with Chris collins Worth and
- 1:28:27Kirby Smart having a conversation about the same thing sexual positions and farting and letting
- 1:28:34that go out to the world, and how that would have been a scandal,
- 1:28:41especially Kirby Smart. Yes, the question is leadership of excuse me,
- 1:28:46he might have been fined, let me hit like a DJ. He did
- 1:28:51what he might have been rather tuck out, and he might tup in fired,
- 1:29:00burn fire. There you go. That's how am I wrong when I
- 1:29:06say that? No, you're exactly right. Okay, that's and that's all
- 1:29:10I will. That's all when I'm trying to give examples showing how just replace
- 1:29:14people, Troy Aikman talking about how he turned the girl around he did this,
- 1:29:19and then Ocho and and then let me take my chades off, and
- 1:29:24sitting around Kirby Smart having a conversation with anybody anywhere on public TV about even
- 1:29:32sex will get fired. Period. That's all I'm trying to tell you.
- 1:29:41But with Dion, it seems to be this wall up that there are no
- 1:29:46rules to how he has to show himself so bad producer who loves that stuff?
- 1:29:58He seems to I just I want to make sure people see that there
- 1:30:00are categories in life. Never be upset because some categories work in your favorite
- 1:30:08some don't. And that's how this really shuck out. As you wanted too
- 1:30:13bad producer act like I you know, because when I asked him, I
- 1:30:15knew he had that story down. I knew he had seen it, and
- 1:30:18that sounds like a story he would have brought. He didn't want to talk
- 1:30:20about that today. He wanted to skip over the Dion prime time. He
- 1:30:26wanted to get around the Michigan. That was the first thing out of his
- 1:30:28mouth. Michigan had some violations. Yes, Jim Harball and the guys something
- 1:30:32they're gonna do at some point. Nc DOUBLEA always takes a long time,
- 1:30:35but they have reached at least one charge of level one, where Jim Harball
- 1:30:42has already spent a three game suspension, so that might quench the ncuba's future
- 1:30:49punishment of him. FSU is questioning their ACC future. This could just be
- 1:30:55a function of they went undefeated, they won the ACC and that's seems not
- 1:31:00to have any bearing on them making the playoffs. Well by Clemson all those
- 1:31:05years, excuse me, what Clemson was? Clemson made it three times,
- 1:31:11won That's championship twice, so it's different, well modern day time things.
- 1:31:15But I'm saying they bowld playoff. Clemson was in the playoffs, I mean
- 1:31:19in this system when they won. Yes, and I'm agreeing with you.
- 1:31:24Yeah. So I'm just saying so in that time, it seems that maybe
- 1:31:27the ACC winning winning the a CEC does not have the weight. Wow,
- 1:31:34that's always gonna Like Trevor Lawrence went three years and removed. So it's like
- 1:31:39they've lost that much credibility. That's how fast it can it can change.
- 1:31:42Wow. I mean. And then they're also considering all the the all the
- 1:31:46PAC twelve teams that went to the Big Ten and the basic of the PAC
- 1:31:49twelve breaking up and the expansion of the SEC adding Texas and Oklahoma. Where
- 1:31:56does that leave It's a it's not their fault that they their teams wanted to
- 1:32:00stay and those conferences got stronger with who they've asked, they went strong back
- 1:32:06to whatlve got stronger. I mean, I don't understand that those teams from
- 1:32:11the PAC twelve that went ACC nothing changed. What I'm saying, nothing changed,
- 1:32:14they stayed. You still have the teams Florida State, Rand the table
- 1:32:18double clips and none for a couple of years just change the power. So
- 1:32:23what I just don't understand. How can you lose your credibility like that?
- 1:32:27Then, well, we're all we're on agreeance with you. What we're saying
- 1:32:30is Florida State is realizing that that has no power. It seems that everybody
- 1:32:39was championing the big ten in the SEC. It was like, you can't
- 1:32:44have a playoff without an SEC champion. They didn't care what the record.
- 1:32:49Right. Well, literally a few years back though, okay, we're actually
- 1:33:00all on the same side. We're saying Florida State is sitting there looking at
- 1:33:03we were undefeated ACC champion, but the commissioner literally said, how do you
- 1:33:11have a playoff without the SEC champion? Who had lost the game in the
- 1:33:17championship? Was am I correct lost the first game, but they were going
- 1:33:24to put somebody whoever, and everybody feels that way, the champion of the
- 1:33:29SEC must play. That's how big the power is of the SEC. So
- 1:33:34at FSU, I guess they're going to decide whether they should stick around or
- 1:33:41maybe they should go join the SEC at some point, and which is crowded
- 1:33:45with all the great teams. Here BE'SI what next year? Adding Oklahoma and
- 1:33:50Texas. So it is great once again powerful school college commissioner, come man,
- 1:33:59you said, or bad producer college commission me. There was brought up
- 1:34:04after Chip Kelly's comments about fixing the the landscape of college football as far as
- 1:34:12conference alignment and all that. Should there be a college football commissioner who would
- 1:34:18someone who would have more, who would have control similar to a pro sports
- 1:34:25commissioner, have that applied to college football as far as playoffs or alignment scheduling
- 1:34:32all of that. Should there be like one person instead of this committee who
- 1:34:36may have their own agenda. That that was kind of like the allegedly what
- 1:34:43they're what they're alleging as far as the college football playoff committee, Should we
- 1:34:47just have one person who's not affiliated with any school that kind of thing,
- 1:34:53so more semi pro football, basically, that's what we need to It does
- 1:35:00sound like it does sound like a little bit like my agent invought. I
- 1:35:05don't know what you're talking about, but Chip Kelly did make some proposals or
- 1:35:10some great out he had, did have some great ideas and he you know,
- 1:35:14it is more on the line of, you know, instead of the
- 1:35:16actual sponsors Nike or paying the players directly or Malo's t playing the player.
- 1:35:24They put the money into the pot, the pool, and then the schools
- 1:35:27pay the players individually. But as far as dividing the schools up in the
- 1:35:31sixty four in the regions the East, West, Midwest, and the South.
- 1:35:36But then a different alumni is are are the ones who advocating the Zaxby's
- 1:35:44man went to Georgia. The raising Kine man went to LSU. So I
- 1:35:53want to get my money to this particular school. Yeah, that's where they're
- 1:35:57gonna run in the problem. That's where the problem comes in. I have
- 1:35:59no elite. Remember I told you the thing about college is different everybody college
- 1:36:03is. You really only get the college. It's not a pro thing like
- 1:36:09the bad producer want to wear nine hats. Yeah he'll be a Ranger fan
- 1:36:15on Christmas Day. You get to be your college. That's it, no
- 1:36:20matter who you I'm an Auburn Tiger. I can sit here and say what
- 1:36:24I want to say. Uh and I'm gonna but everybody will see me cheering
- 1:36:28for another college fake. And I would love to cheer for George if they
- 1:36:31win a lot. But it's like Southern mess. It's like when I wear
- 1:36:34different schools, somebody might see me in a Tuskegee or Tennessee State or abandoned
- 1:36:41built or things like that, and it's like, while you got that on,
- 1:36:46I thought you went to. You don't get to change that. So
- 1:36:49it's like when you talk about that, that sounds good to be like,
- 1:36:53oh, no, we're gonna pull all the money. But if I went
- 1:36:56to a particular school, I don't want to pull my money. You don't
- 1:37:01want to help North Carolina no, because like you said, just like you
- 1:37:05said, the yelp, the man with the wood, he's selling all that
- 1:37:10wood to about yep, he's not selling all that wood to help. So
- 1:37:15and that goes back to a lot of the other things, like schools,
- 1:37:17you got alumni, you gotta write a check. That's at all of the
- 1:37:20schools. That's that's what makes the difference with these schools. And like you
- 1:37:26said, some of that with the alumna is some of them don't agree with
- 1:37:29the pain. The whole pain thing. You got to get into that.
- 1:37:32That's something that we're you know, always on board. And then there's some
- 1:37:39that just don't see that as the way that you should be directed. The
- 1:37:45school excuse me, but that's just how it is. And we'll see,
- 1:37:48as I said, by the League Football, if you asked to be uh,
- 1:37:54we'll go to break deal one. Mass Singer last night, Neo and
- 1:38:00he's still he's a regular sing What happened to his career? I guess he's
- 1:38:04trying to jump started again. That's why I quit watching the Mask Singer because
- 1:38:09when they started putting real singers, I thought it was supposed to be.
- 1:38:13And the only reason people are going to stay on that because he had a
- 1:38:15mask on, because you know, because of his insidniary comments. They'd have
- 1:38:17had that show cancer. Oh that is correct, they'd have had that show
- 1:38:21Cancer. Well, you won season ten of Mass Singer last night, Neo.

- 1:41:43back to the sport Shock Show. I'm the sport Shock Wayne Candy. UH
- 1:41:47sad news. Interesting story. Guy from the NBA G League has been arrested
- 1:41:55UH and authorities are saying that he confessed chance commanchie NBA baller twenty seven year
- 1:42:02old been in the g Le most of his career, has played I think
- 1:42:08a couple of games at some point in his career for the Trailblazers, but
- 1:42:14has been arrested charged with murder. Says that he confessed to killing a young
- 1:42:20lady named Mariah Rogers. Him and his ex girlfriend, Zakari Harden both have
- 1:42:31been charged with murder. This happened on December the fourth, but he has
- 1:42:39at least at for now. It says that he actually confessed to pulling out
- 1:42:44a cord and strangling Rogers and trying to hide her body in the desert.
- 1:42:50So just funny how emotions sometimes I don't even know that he was with her
- 1:42:58at the time, but where the story leads now, so it sounds like
- 1:43:01a crime of emotion for this young man and the nineteen year old that both
- 1:43:08have been charged and facing murder charges. Draymond Green will be suspended three more
- 1:43:14weeks. The Golden State forward for counseling says he's going to seek counseling in
- 1:43:20those three weeks, So I won't see Draymond until the new year for his
- 1:43:27actions. As you remember, just what's been about ten days now, just
- 1:43:32about when he punched the guy for Phoenix out on the court. So another
- 1:43:36three weeks about a month of time Draymond suspended. And I don't mean to
- 1:43:45dismiss Draymond's commitment two counseling, but I've worked in the counseling arena and I
- 1:43:58know that three weeks does not make a complete revelations. They're very little breakthroughs
- 1:44:08in three weeks. So the NBA is going to deem that we cool,
- 1:44:13you're still a work in progress, or if something happens again where he getting
- 1:44:16counseling. I don't see that as well. You have a collective bargaining agreement,
- 1:44:21so they have to work within what time frame they can. This might
- 1:44:27even be new territory for them, so they're working in a maybe a new
- 1:44:32era or a new area to expand. But there are CBA restrictions to how
- 1:44:40long you can suspend the player, how you know, how much counseling what
- 1:44:45has to go on with that. But they didn't say he would be back
- 1:44:47exactly in three weeks. They said he would be at least three more weeks
- 1:44:51while he's getting counseling in this matter. So they still haven't said a specific
- 1:44:58amount of time. But they might only have that much time where they could
- 1:45:03have suspended him for what his act was. Man, I still have to
- 1:45:09go by what he actually did on the court, true, regardless of what
- 1:45:12I feel how I feel about his science. Punching a guy only allows me
- 1:45:16to similar two years ago when Adrian Peterson and as and Peterson the Viking suspended
- 1:45:27him, Well, he got all his money back at the end of the
- 1:45:30year, except for like three weeks because by the CBA, that was all
- 1:45:35you could really suspend him for. So it looked even though they got rid
- 1:45:42of for the season the bylaws. Same thing with ray Rice, and people
- 1:45:45don't realize Ray Rice got a lot of that money back for that season because
- 1:45:48by the bylaws for what he had been accused or found guilty of, was
- 1:45:55only allowing him a two week suspension. Now, but on the exempt list,
- 1:46:02that don't mean that I don't get my checks back. That just means
- 1:46:05that because we have laws, or how long you can That's what the CBA
- 1:46:11is like a lot of jobs. You can't just do certain things because oh
- 1:46:14I don't like it. Okay, yeah that's true. But it says pouring
- 1:46:17water down the sink is only a day. Yeah, I get yeah,
- 1:46:21you being upset and I'm wasting water and you some kind of activists that ain't
- 1:46:26got nothing to do with it. I'll be back to mall see you in
- 1:46:30the morning, with the with the with the three weeks counting what he's already
- 1:46:35served, that would make it fifteen games. Do you think that's enough?
- 1:46:41Like there's no guarantee you'll be back after those fifteen games, But do you
- 1:46:44think that's enough time for where he is? I think so. I think
- 1:46:50fifteen games. I think a month off for him. I think it's a
- 1:46:54time to let him really understand as a league, as a team, as
- 1:46:59an agent. That because when it comes back. Now you're really under scrutiny.
- 1:47:04Yes, yes, and that's what I want to make sure that you
- 1:47:08know that when you come back, it's drug testing we're doing, you know,
- 1:47:14And that's that's worse than the offense, like being on probation. I
- 1:47:17always tell you people, it's worse after the fact because before you had like
- 1:47:24freedom. Now you on something restricted, Gotta check in, gotta do this.
- 1:47:30You know you're in the drug program. Now it's a twenty four hour
- 1:47:34alert. Oh I was in Bangladesh. Okay, what they got to do
- 1:47:41with drug We call left a message and within twenty four hours, we're gonna
- 1:47:45need you to go down to the Bangala Jest Hospital and give us a specimen.
- 1:47:51I could just confess, now, why would I be in Bangladesh.
- 1:47:56I'm a flunk. I didn't study. I didn't study for the drug test.

- 1:48:04Sunday. I think they're gonna comply. I was reading no that they due
- 1:48:10to some New York statue with their their area rest area stops in certain location
- 1:48:18if there's a Chick fil A in there, that if you're at the rest
- 1:48:21area, it has to be open to pull out and something next door.
- 1:48:29If you've ever been in New York and that upper East Coast area between there
- 1:48:33and Boston or Rhode Island, the fast food establishments are all at roadside gas
- 1:48:44So it might be seven or eight of them, but they're all at this
- 1:48:47particular sort of like the mall food court, just with gas pumps, and
- 1:48:54they're open twenty four hours a day, most of them seven days a week.
- 1:48:58So I've never seen a chick in one, but it's been a while
- 1:49:01since i've been. That'll be interesting to see. Well, that was the
- 1:49:03way they had moved up North was to get Chick fil A. Up North
- 1:49:08was putting them in those road things. Now a couple of years later they
- 1:49:11want to come back and try to tell them, hey, you need to
- 1:49:14be open, but you know what the deal was, Well I don't.
- 1:49:15That's why I was gonna make sure I framed up before we left. I'm
- 1:49:18not saying that they made this to try to force Chick fil A. They're
- 1:49:24basically saying that if you're in the rest stops right in that New Jersey,
- 1:49:28New York area, the rest stops from now on will be twenty four hours
- 1:49:31you have to be a twenty four hour business, so h seven days a
- 1:49:35week. Thanks, So Chick fil A might have to move out and build
- 1:49:40its own stand alone to keep to their Sunday principle. We'll be back more
- 1:49:45than Sports Jock Show right after this pay But it's not a joke. Say
- 1:49:49she got a problem, imaginary smoke it said it's so and put it on

- 1:50:34of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece of financial security, yet only
- 1:50:40forty nine percent actually have life insurance. When I was twenty five, me
- 1:50:43and my wife were just getting started with our family and thought we lived forever.
- 1:50:46Life insurance was the last thing on my mind. What about you?
- 1:50:48Will you be leaving benefits or bills? When I was forty, with a
- 1:50:53kid in college and bills piling up, I was worried how my family was
- 1:50:56survived without me. That's what I'm in an appointment with the insurance informant.
- 1:50:59Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family security no matter what
- 1:51:02stage of life you're in. Now that I'm older, I don't worry about
- 1:51:05whether I'll lead my family that bills their benefits. The answer is easy,
- 1:51:10whether you're twenty five or fifty, whether you earn a little or a lot,
- 1:51:13All you need is the insurance informant to help you build a foundation of
- 1:51:16security, because without you, your family will have two options, benefits or
- 1:51:20bills? Which legacy will you leave behind? Log on today benefits or bills?

- 1:52:12we put a spin on life and sports and how they intermingle on the Sports
- 1:52:18Jack Show with Wayne Gandy. Welcome back to this What Shock Shawn, I'm
- 1:52:34the sport Shock Wayne gandee of the Charlotte Hornets, Miles Bridges and I'm gonna
- 1:52:41look see if this gets a little more air. It's over now. But
- 1:52:45last week when Charlotte tried to go up and play in Canada, Toronto,
- 1:52:53Myles Bridges, remember Miles been in some trouble, was suspended for domestic abuse.
- 1:52:59The Canadian theories would not let him in. You can't do it in
- 1:53:01Canada. I can't do it. And I'm I'm imagining the Hornets already knew
- 1:53:08that they should have, right y'ah Charlotte before, I mean, have you
- 1:53:15been to Canada before? I think they were trying to get a waiver.
- 1:53:18Then they tried to get a waiver and just thought they'd do it on the
- 1:53:23spot. Thought they pressure somebody at the border to be like a go ahead.
- 1:53:28I kept thinking, now this is a time where you need a load
- 1:53:30management game. Hey man, just we'll be back tomorrow. Don't worry about
- 1:53:33it. Yeah, no matter, there's no need to even test this like
- 1:53:38that. You know, if it was the playoffs maybe or something like that,
- 1:53:43Drake right could have got Yeah, I'm sure he's got pull at the
- 1:53:46border. X NFL running back Derek Ward arrested in a string of La robberies.
- 1:53:54Sound like he was part of a robbing crew out in LA recently.
- 1:53:59I saw something a number up around quarter of a million dollars over not just
- 1:54:04one job though, it was a couple of jobs. But they're estimating around
- 1:54:08a quarter million dollars worth of stuff stolen. Well, we've been trying to
- 1:54:12figure out who's been his right, it's gotta be somebody we know, somebody
- 1:54:15that might have been going to the parties that knows that might have been his
- 1:54:19role. They haven't said what role. It's not like they said, hey,
- 1:54:21he was the guy who was picking the lock right right, His role
- 1:54:25could have been he was the spotter. Yeah, he was a guy who
- 1:54:30the confidence man because he won a Super Bowl back with the Giants when he
- 1:54:33played so and he might be someone that goes to the party and yeah,
- 1:54:39man up, yeah, what's going on Paris? He aren't good to see
- 1:54:43you. Baby. We gonna dance over here by your safe that's nice.
- 1:54:47I love this. Let's go over here with this fine shining, this jewelry
- 1:54:53is all. Let me look at your artwork. And then they get hit.
- 1:54:57Cam Newton, Brandon Marshall. They haven't iconic live tour. Is it
- 1:55:01a comedy tour coming? It's a podcast tour, podcast tour. Brandon Marshall
- 1:55:10and Cam Newton. Now I thought Brandon Marshall was on with Crowder and what's
- 1:55:17the running back, Fred Fred Taylor? They split up. I'm so behind
- 1:55:23Big Kenny. You trying to catch up there? So yeah, Brandon Marshall
- 1:55:29has I Am Athlete, that's his podcast, and then Cam Newton with his
- 1:55:32Funky Friday podcast. So they're collaborating and doing live shows together. Okay,
- 1:55:39Cam Newton said last week, bad Producer. I'm quite sure you were heard
- 1:55:44this. But Cam says he's not in the league because he scares people.
- 1:55:49You know what he meant by that? No, I don't, but I
- 1:55:55would imagine that it's now he's scared people. I mean, you can tell
- 1:56:00he scared of people now just because he can just to fear him saying that
- 1:56:05these guys are game managers, and they, instead of listening to what he
- 1:56:09actually was saying, they attack him. So you know he does. I
- 1:56:12mean, it's a racist comment, and he's trying to talk around the fact
- 1:56:15that it's a racist comment because he himself is also a racist. Oh yes,
- 1:56:23Oh they're both racist. So he's defending Cam Newton's racist statements. Because
- 1:56:29generally, if you are familiar, as our generation is, with Public Enemy,
- 1:56:34they had an a an album Fear of a Black Planet. There is
- 1:56:41on social media and other platforms a running assertion that the most dangerous feared man
- 1:56:49on earth is a black man who thinks, who's free of thought, who's
- 1:56:55willing to criticize the system. So when Cam Newton says they scared me,
- 1:57:00they're afraid of me, it means because he's a free thinking, strong,
- 1:57:03unafraid, unapologetic black man, and that's why we scared it. Real quickly
- 1:57:08commands youe why would you say Cam Newton is not in the NFL. Uh?
- 1:57:15His his style of play and his I think the the a lot of
- 1:57:24the injuries that he's had, Like it's physically he it's what he's what made
- 1:57:30him a star. That's not there anymore. Bad But Duc, why would
- 1:57:32you say he's not in the league. He's just he's gonna. He wants
- 1:57:38to be a starter and he's gonna he should be a starter. And I
- 1:57:43don't I don't blame it. I'm not going to a team if I'm not
- 1:57:45gonna be a starter. It's no need to be out there, big Kenny,
- 1:57:48because the level of spectacle that you bring to the team doesn't equal the
- 1:57:54amount of impact you have on the game. The dissension that you bring to
- 1:57:59a locker room ain't worth having you on the field when all you gonna do
- 1:58:03is get a first down and then act like you done scored a touchdown by
- 1:58:06ripping your shirt open. And I would say all three of you are correct.
- 1:58:18His style of play, he brings too much attention and he wants to
- 1:58:24start, which means he can't be a backup. His style of play,
- 1:58:32he doesn't particularly know how to help another quarterback have success. I don't need
- 1:58:39you standing over there, as Big Kenny saying, drawing attention to the guy
- 1:58:42who's not the starter and you want to start means that you're not humble enough
- 1:58:46to understand that this is a team game, and we no longer see you
- 1:58:51as a starter, so you end up not being in the NFL. Now,
- 1:58:56none of us said fear. I ain't scared of them. I did
- 1:59:02not mention that. Nobody mentioned that they were afraid. I'm afraid to be
- 1:59:06in the grocery store and walk up on him with his nipples out like he
- 1:59:11be doing. I'm afraid of that. I'll say that openly. I don't
- 1:59:14want to walk up on you in the frozen food section and you got on
- 1:59:18some overalls and nothing else and your nipples showing in in in the ice cream
- 1:59:25stop and we are in those The truth is he will throw your in the
- 1:59:32ocean. It's time to wrap things up. On the Sports Jut Show with

- 2:00:45We hope you have a great and wonderful Christmas as that comes upon us
- 2:00:53in a couple of days. A lot of sporting events to watch. Here's
- 2:01:00something for all of us to feed on. Interesting story this week Minnesota Temperbowl
- 2:01:05star Anthony Edwards catching heat for a private conversation he had with a young lady
- 2:01:11where he was basically in a decision that he would refer to have an abortion.
- 2:01:21This young lady decided to out the twenty two year old and basically make
- 2:01:27it seem like he had no right to voice what he might choose in the
- 2:01:34situation. We have no business in these people's conversation. That's my stance on
- 2:01:46all of them. It's funny how nobody ever comes out and tries to rope
- 2:01:53in some of this mindset that you could just go out and try to harass
- 2:02:00people. I do know this with Anthony Edwards, if he had come out
- 2:02:03and exposed her for having an abortion, then it would have become one of
- 2:02:11those my body, my right? Who is him to speak on this?
- 2:02:15As I said earlier in the show Comanchi, nobody seems to want to put
- 2:02:18on other people's shoes anymore. They just want to have on their shoes.
- 2:02:23But we know how it would have turned out, right, they'd have been
- 2:02:25protesting the Timberwolves game. My body, My right, My body, my
- 2:02:30right. But in the flip side, you get to go and expose this
- 2:02:32man and try to make him a bad person, because at twenty two,
- 2:02:36maybe this is the choice he would have made, right or wrong. He
- 2:02:41gets to have a voice. That doesn't mean that he wouldn't have gone.
- 2:02:45But you asked me a question and I gave your answer, and because it
- 2:02:48didn't go with your sensibilities, you try to paint me with the wrong color
- 2:02:54brush. But beyond all that, how have we as a society got into
- 2:02:58the point where we allow these people to put this out. I thought,
- 2:03:01that's somebody can't manage this. We don't need to be into that part of
- 2:03:08your personal life. I just wanted to see you dunk. It's not a
- 2:03:12crime for someone to decide that's how they would address this issue. But Anthony
- 2:03:18ed was I'm sorry, young man, that you have to go through this
- 2:03:20and make statements and retrack just how you felt this situation should be handled.
- 2:03:29I guess it's not your body. You're right in your case from the Sports
- 2:03:33Jock Show, have a merry Christmas. We'll talk to you soon, and
- 2:03:39as we always say on Thursday, we'll see you in the future. Peace.
