- 0:23Speaker 1: interviewing Olivia. So enjoy this episode. And if you want
- 0:28Speaker 1: to hear all the Welcome to plast Bill recapped, head
- 0:30Speaker 1: on over to Pink Shade Prime. The link is in
- 0:33Speaker 1: the show notes. It is on the five dollars a
- 0:35Speaker 1: month level. Hey everybody, welcome to Pink Shade you guys,
- 0:39Speaker 1: it's a treat. It's a treat. It's my friend here.
- 0:42Speaker 1: It's Olivia Marie Plath.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Many.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Hi.
- 0:45Speaker 2: How many times have I been on now? Is it's
- 0:47Speaker 2: like four?
- 0:48Speaker 1: I think this is four.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Look at that. I'm basically a regular.
- 0:51Speaker 1: You're a regular. You could come on anytime. We always
- 0:53Speaker 1: want your your hot takes. Now, I told you right
- 0:57Speaker 1: before we started, you were talking about roadwork and I
- 0:59Speaker 1: was talking about dogs barking, And just right on, cue,
- 1:02Speaker 1: the dogs are sparking.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Just give it a second. The dump truck is going
- 1:05Speaker 2: to pack up.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Listen, guys, we're city folk. We're city folk. Okay. Now,
- 1:12Speaker 1: the current season is on a platfem. Are you watching
- 1:15Speaker 1: any of it? Have you seen any or are you
- 1:17Speaker 1: just like seeing the clips.
- 1:19Speaker 2: I haven't seen any episodes. I've seen a lot of clips,
- 1:22Speaker 2: either they're landing on my algorithm or people are tagging
- 1:26Speaker 2: me in them, or my friends are like, did you
- 1:28Speaker 2: see what was said about you? So I haven't watched episodes,
- 1:31Speaker 2: but I've seen quite a few clips from the season.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Well, the episode that is on Tuesday night and this
- 1:39Speaker 1: year this interview will come out tomorrow on Wednesday. Wow.
- 1:45Speaker 1: If you thought Veronica was an asshole before, boy does
- 1:49Speaker 1: she really really ratchet it down on that being an asshole.
- 1:53Speaker 1: She's really really leaning in. And I didn't want that
- 1:57Speaker 1: to be the case, Olivia. I wanted her to not
- 2:01Speaker 1: be a jerk. I wanted her to be just sort
- 2:04Speaker 1: of trying to expose the family, trying to fight for
- 2:06Speaker 1: her relationship by making my casie that he can't stay
- 2:11Speaker 1: with so close. But no, she's just she's just become
- 2:15Speaker 1: a real asshole. Yeah.
- 2:17Speaker 2: It's really tricky because when I first reached out to her,
- 2:20Speaker 2: I had never met or didn't know anything about her
- 2:24Speaker 2: as a person, and I was just genuinely concerned about her,
- 2:27Speaker 2: and as she kept reaching back out to me and
- 2:29Speaker 2: wanting to talk through things and compare experiences, I was
- 2:33Speaker 2: being told by people around her like, yes, she does
- 2:36Speaker 2: need support and is being treated poorly, but just be careful,
- 2:40Speaker 2: just you know, watch your back and just be careful
- 2:43Speaker 2: what you say because everything will become a screenshot and
- 2:46Speaker 2: a receipt YEP, a receipt. And so I was like, okay,
- 2:51Speaker 2: and I tried to be careful. I was trying to
- 2:53Speaker 2: toe the line. I'd never met her, so I also
- 2:55Speaker 2: didn't just want to take everyone's opinion of her. I
- 2:57Speaker 2: wanted to kind of give her time to prove who
- 2:59Speaker 2: she was. And the more time has gone on, the
- 3:03Speaker 2: more I'm just like, two things can be true. We
- 3:05Speaker 2: can both have been treated poorly by this family that
- 3:08Speaker 2: doesn't like anyone who doesn't share their same DNA. Yeah,
- 3:11Speaker 2: and you participated in it, you engaged in bullying other people,
- 3:17Speaker 2: and genuinely like, are not a very nice person, And
- 3:21Speaker 2: those two things can be true at the same time.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Yeah, it's rough. It's rough. I mean on this particular episode.
- 3:30Speaker 1: I'll just tell you this particular episode that we will
- 3:32Speaker 1: have seen on Tuesday night, when the last episode she's
- 3:37Speaker 1: been she talks down to Micah. You know, she basically
- 3:40Speaker 1: calls them stupid. She'll he'll say, you're talking down to me,
- 3:43Speaker 1: and she'll say, like, you deserve it because you're not intelligent.
- 3:47Speaker 1: I'm like, okay, so why are you dating them? You know?
- 3:50Speaker 2: That's the other thing is like I agree that their
- 3:53Speaker 2: schooling lacked so much and set them back in life,
- 3:57Speaker 2: and yeah, they could do a lot of internal work
- 4:01Speaker 2: of gaining tools for their toolbox and emotional regulation and
- 4:05Speaker 2: just you know, understanding of how the world works.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:08Speaker 2: But if you feel that way about someone and you
- 4:11Speaker 2: think that they're that dumb, why are you dating them
- 4:15Speaker 2: and with them?
- 4:16Speaker 1: Yeah? Is it just to have somebody to be mean to?
- 4:19Speaker 1: I don't. It's now this particular episode is where she
- 4:23Speaker 1: starts just continually calling Tigan a slut. That's the word
- 4:28Speaker 1: she's using, slut. And you know, Mike is like, she's
- 4:33Speaker 1: got in her mind that Teagan has an only fans
- 4:35Speaker 1: and for some reason that's an issue with her and
- 4:38Speaker 1: decides to call her a slut. And this is kind
- 4:40Speaker 1: of where I get the disconnect. Is like, let's say
- 4:42Speaker 1: Teagan has an only fans, which I don't think she does.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Let's say she does or she doesn't. Why does Veronica
- 4:49Speaker 1: care about that? To then be like I hate her,
- 4:52Speaker 1: You're not allowed to be around her, she's a slut,
- 4:54Speaker 1: Like it makes no sense.
- 4:57Speaker 2: I But what I will say is there were moments
- 5:04Speaker 2: in my relationship with Ethan where I thought he might
- 5:06Speaker 2: have cheated on me. And I say this as I thought,
- 5:10Speaker 2: because I do not have proof of him ever going
- 5:12Speaker 2: on cheating. But there were things. There were certain girls
- 5:14Speaker 2: that he was very adamant he had to follow or
- 5:16Speaker 2: he would reply to all their stories, and I was
- 5:18Speaker 2: like why, and I felt insecure about it. And there
- 5:22Speaker 2: were moments where he would go and want to hang
- 5:24Speaker 2: out with this girl every time he was back in
- 5:26Speaker 2: kro and I was like, I just I don't like her.
- 5:29Speaker 2: I don't like the vibes here. And I would start
- 5:31Speaker 2: to feel kind of insecure and jealous and be like,
- 5:34Speaker 2: I don't want you to hang out with her. But
- 5:38Speaker 2: so like, I get that part of Veronica having been
- 5:40Speaker 2: cheated on multiple times by Micah, yeah, and letting that
- 5:43Speaker 2: insecurity kind of like feeding that insecurity and wondering if
- 5:47Speaker 2: it's okay for him to be around any girl, especially
- 5:50Speaker 2: one that she considers, for lack of a better word,
- 5:53Speaker 2: I guess, more promiscuous. At the same time, you can't
- 5:56Speaker 2: say that you support strong, independent women. You can't say
- 6:01Speaker 2: that you are a girl's girl. You can't say that
- 6:02Speaker 2: you champion women like. You can't say all these things
- 6:04Speaker 2: and then turn around slushame them. It doesn't work that way.
- 6:08Speaker 1: But she has no proof of anything, you know. Another
- 6:10Speaker 1: thing she says on this episode is, well, you know,
- 6:13Speaker 1: Teagan reached out to Ethan online and basically stalked him,
- 6:17Speaker 1: and she knew what she was getting into with this family.
- 6:19Speaker 1: And Micah says, that has nothing to do with us.
- 6:24Speaker 1: That's very relationship. Why are you calling her a slut?
- 6:27Speaker 1: You know? It isn't enough. And then Micah says on
- 6:31Speaker 1: this episode that Veronica said regarding Mariah, who she had
- 6:35Speaker 1: the issue with, but Mariah was very gracious to her
- 6:38Speaker 1: on this episode, like please come and sit please, we
- 6:40Speaker 1: want to include you, Like, don't sit over here by yourself.
- 6:44Speaker 1: She has said regarding Mariah, I wouldn't care if she
- 6:47Speaker 1: got murdered by the drug cartel, and and Micah goes,
- 6:52Speaker 1: and so the production goes. You know, Veronica says things
- 6:55Speaker 1: that she doesn't mean them. He goes, yeah, but she
- 6:56Speaker 1: still said it. Can you imagine, like, first of all,
- 7:01Speaker 1: how do you get from A to B? How do
- 7:03Speaker 1: you get from murdered by the drug cartel? But she
- 7:06Speaker 1: said I wouldn't care she got murdered by a drug cartel.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Regarding his sister.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Speciless, Yes, wow, Mariah is someone that I do not
- 7:27Speaker 2: trust at all, and I would never ever say something
- 7:32Speaker 2: like that about her, about anyone, about anyone. And you
- 7:37Speaker 2: know what, I'm not going to bring any politics onto
- 7:40Speaker 2: your podcast. But this changes some things because Ronica has
- 7:42Speaker 2: been on TikTok last night making comments about me everywhere
- 7:46Speaker 2: because she's decided that since I said we're not friends,
- 7:49Speaker 2: all of a sudden she's mad at me. And now
- 7:52Speaker 2: all of a sudden, I'm thinking about the thing she
- 7:53Speaker 2: was saying about me last night, and I'm like, wow,
- 7:55Speaker 2: this changes everything. It doesn't change everything, but it's just like, huh, okay,
- 8:00Speaker 2: good to know.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Micah said, you know, she says the most horrible things
- 8:05Speaker 1: about people. She resorts to name calling, and even in
- 8:07Speaker 1: this episode, when she kept saying slut, Micah said, you
- 8:11Speaker 1: don't have to do with the name calling, and she goes,
- 8:14Speaker 1: it's not names, it's an adjective. Actually, you know she
- 8:19Speaker 1: was saying slutty. She's like, slutty is an adjective. But
- 8:21Speaker 1: she also says things like we're doing comfortable and cestpool,
- 8:25Speaker 1: so she's not like the brightest ball herself, which is
- 8:28Speaker 1: also annoying that she then talks about how stupid Micah is,
- 8:31Speaker 1: but she does this like spewing of the hate like
- 8:34Speaker 1: it's cute, like it's badass. She's like, they could just
- 8:38Speaker 1: keep waiting. More bombs will drop on this episode, Tea
- 8:41Speaker 1: getting Kaylin her standing over the side because their family
- 8:43Speaker 1: pictures being taken, and she goes, oh, you know they're
- 8:47Speaker 1: standing to this side because they're not family either. But
- 8:49Speaker 1: let me tell you something, if they get into those pictures,
- 8:51Speaker 1: I'm going to pull them down by the hair. My
- 8:52Speaker 1: claws are out of their mittens. Like why why are
- 8:56Speaker 1: you mad at those two girls who were just dating
- 8:58Speaker 1: brothers in this like it doesn't make it? And he
- 9:00Speaker 1: sounds like, why are you so worked up and angry?
- 9:04Speaker 1: We understand she had the issue with Mariah, we understand
- 9:06Speaker 1: she's mad at Barry, but the rest of it makes
- 9:11Speaker 1: the recent And yeah, she says to Mariah on this
- 9:16Speaker 1: episode because you know, even your mom. I wrote your
- 9:18Speaker 1: mom and said, I don't want to sit with Ethan
- 9:21Speaker 1: and Tigan, you know, Tigan being a slutin all, and
- 9:24Speaker 1: I don't want to sit with them. And she said,
- 9:27Speaker 1: even your mom wrote back and say, name six people
- 9:29Speaker 1: you do get along with, and I goes, well, there's
- 9:31Speaker 1: one for Kim. That's one for Kim. Also, what was
- 9:37Speaker 1: interesting is kk Ken was at the wedding and just
- 9:43Speaker 1: sitting there with the family, and you had the whole season.
- 9:46Speaker 2: He uh, he's been around during the season. He just
- 9:49Speaker 2: hasn't been shown. Okay, well, yeah, he was there for
- 9:54Speaker 2: a bunch of things. I think that he's so loud
- 10:00Speaker 2: and proud with his views that he's been kind of
- 10:05Speaker 2: like just quietly, you know, not shown for things for
- 10:08Speaker 2: that way they can escape backlash. But he's still there.
- 10:12Speaker 1: He's still around. Yeah, because she said at the beginning
- 10:15Speaker 1: of the season, like he's still around. She either said
- 10:18Speaker 1: we are friends with benefit. I was like, ew no, she.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Basically said, we're still friends and all we're just not
- 10:24Speaker 2: hooking up. We're just like, first off, not true, and second,
- 10:28Speaker 2: who freaking cares?
- 10:32Speaker 1: Okay, I got right into Veronica. But I had so
- 10:34Speaker 1: many questions before that. Sorry, I just had to that's.
- 10:37Speaker 2: It's a bit, it's a bit. Uh, it's a head scratcher.
- 10:40Speaker 1: It's a head scratcher. And now are you in touch
- 10:43Speaker 1: with Ethan at all? Are you actually divorced at this
- 10:46Speaker 1: point in time in September of twenty twenty five, the
- 10:49Speaker 1: year of Our Lord.
- 10:50Speaker 2: No, we are not. I I blocked him a while back,
- 10:53Speaker 2: just because he was incredibly rude, and I was just like,
- 10:58Speaker 2: I don't have any energy for this. I will deal
- 10:59Speaker 2: with his attorney for getting divorced and I don't have
- 11:01Speaker 2: to talk to him for this. In talking to his attorney,
- 11:04Speaker 2: I had two requests. One was that it is a
- 11:07Speaker 2: private file. In the state of Minnesota. Usually when you
- 11:10Speaker 2: file for divorce, it is public and everybody can see
- 11:13Speaker 2: your finances, everybody can see everything, and I just don't
- 11:16Speaker 2: want that, so I asked for a private file, and
- 11:20Speaker 2: his attorney couldn't guarantee that would happen. The other thing
- 11:23Speaker 2: that I asked for from his attorney was that my
- 11:25Speaker 2: address be kept from Ethan for security reasons. I do
- 11:29Speaker 2: not want him having my address, and his attorney also
- 11:33Speaker 2: could not promise that to me, and I was like,
- 11:36Speaker 2: I'm not going to work with you if you can't
- 11:37Speaker 2: do those two things. That feels to me like the
- 11:41Speaker 2: bare minimum in a contentious divorce filing. So we will
- 11:49Speaker 2: see what happens at this point. I owe his attorney
- 11:52Speaker 2: an email, and I was out of town for the
- 11:54Speaker 2: last month and haven't gotten back to him yet when
- 11:56Speaker 2: he was requesting some information for me. But I don't
- 11:59Speaker 2: really trust as attorney moving forward, and I think my
- 12:01Speaker 2: best bet is to just bite the bullet and hire
- 12:03Speaker 2: one myself. Yeah, the thing is like to file from,
- 12:10Speaker 2: So if I were to file, I would have to
- 12:12Speaker 2: have lived six months in the place that I want
- 12:14Speaker 2: to file from. I moved to DC, I had a
- 12:17Speaker 2: lease there for like seven eight months, and then I
- 12:21Speaker 2: moved to Virginia. I'm a resident in Virginia now, but
- 12:23Speaker 2: I've not been able to get my Virginia driver's license
- 12:26Speaker 2: for six months because my name in the system was
- 12:29Speaker 2: my maiden name, and in order to get a new
- 12:32Speaker 2: driver's license in the state of Virginia improve my residency,
- 12:34Speaker 2: I had to prove when I changed my name, and
- 12:38Speaker 2: the State of Georgia took three months to send me
- 12:41Speaker 2: a certificate of my marriage license so that I could
- 12:44Speaker 2: actually take that and improve it. So I did den
- 12:46Speaker 2: view appointment yesterday and I officially got my Virginia driver's license.
- 12:49Speaker 2: And it's just, honestly, it's like one long step at
- 12:53Speaker 2: a time, and the hardest part of it is just
- 12:55Speaker 2: all the paperwork and little details. But we are on
- 12:59Speaker 2: the to getting officially divorced.
- 13:02Speaker 1: So the season has eleven episodes. We're on episode nine,
- 13:06Speaker 1: which aired on Tuesday. There's two to go, so I'm
- 13:08Speaker 1: assuming they're bringing Olivia Plath in for the big finale. Yeah.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Unfortunately, I regret. I regret saying yes to filming with
- 13:20Speaker 2: Ethan one more time, but I did and it'll show.
- 13:23Speaker 1: So y'all, what's the hardest thing about hitting your protein goals?
- 13:27Speaker 1: For me, it's breakfast. I'm always trying to figure out
- 13:30Speaker 1: a protein packed breakfast because there's so many days when
- 13:33Speaker 1: I know I'm not going to be able to grab lunch.

- 14:48Speaker 1: right turn something that we have noticed a lot on.
- 14:51Speaker 1: This really ramped up since Lydia and Zacher together and
- 14:58Speaker 1: we're having this kissing situation leading up to the wedding.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Very makes so many sexual comments about Lydia. Is this
- 15:11Speaker 1: something that is familiar to you? He constantly refers to
- 15:14Speaker 1: them having sex, and this week when they had their
- 15:17Speaker 1: first kiss, he literally is like, oh, yeah, get in there,
- 15:20Speaker 1: let's see some tongue. This is his daughter.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Yeah, you know. Unfortunately, the world that I grew up in,
- 15:30Speaker 2: the fundamental Christian world, places such a high emphasis on sex.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Whether the message is abstaining or not, it's still a
- 15:39Speaker 2: high emphasis on set the topic the topic of And
- 15:44Speaker 2: as an adult, I look back now and I am
- 15:46Speaker 2: able to see all of the ways that my dad
- 15:48Speaker 2: and my brothers sexualized me that I couldn't see when
- 15:51Speaker 2: I was in that world. Even something as simple as
- 15:54Speaker 2: my brother's saying, don't wear a tang top because you're
- 15:56Speaker 2: going to defraud me and make me stumble. And as
- 15:59Speaker 2: a girl growing up in that world, it was like, Okay, yeah,
- 16:01Speaker 2: if I wear these things, men will stumble if they
- 16:03Speaker 2: see my body as an adult, I'm like, that was
- 16:06Speaker 2: my brother. Why would you ever think about me that way?
- 16:11Speaker 2: The same thing with my dad. I remember when I
- 16:15Speaker 2: hit puberty and I started filling out. I hit puberty late,
- 16:19Speaker 2: and my gross spurt was very, very quick. And I
- 16:21Speaker 2: remember we were going out to an event one day
- 16:23Speaker 2: and I guess my shirt was like an umpire waist
- 16:25Speaker 2: tied too tight, and my dad sent my mom to
- 16:27Speaker 2: see if I'd stuffed my bra because he was like,
- 16:29Speaker 2: I don't think she's that big. And as a girl,
- 16:32Speaker 2: when my mom came up to me, he was like
- 16:34Speaker 2: feeling my bra. I was like, did you put anything
- 16:36Speaker 2: in here? Dad wants me to check. I was like no,
- 16:38Speaker 2: Why would I ever do that as an adult. I'm like,
- 16:40Speaker 2: that's so creepy that my dad was looking at me
- 16:43Speaker 2: that way. But unfortunately that's very common in the Christian
- 16:46Speaker 2: fundamental world. They placed such a high emphasis on sex
- 16:51Speaker 2: and purity and all of these things that when that's
- 16:54Speaker 2: what you're consumed with, it makes sense that it comes
- 16:56Speaker 2: out in all shapes and forms.
- 16:58Speaker 1: It's so strong and yeah, this week, when he said
- 17:02Speaker 1: let's get in there, let's seed some tongue and all this,
- 17:04Speaker 1: and it's so strange. And Kim, in her skirt in
- 17:10Speaker 1: the kitchen preparing for the wedding, said, you know, I
- 17:14Speaker 1: don't know why Lydy and Zach have to get married,
- 17:16Speaker 1: and Ethan says, they just want to fuck.
- 17:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:21Speaker 1: First of all, Ethan said that about his sister to
- 17:23Speaker 1: his mother.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Yeah. Oh gross, yes, they That does not shock me
- 17:29Speaker 2: at all. I was very familiar with him saying things
- 17:31Speaker 2: like that.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Well, we've all we're always like Ethan as a twelve
- 17:35Speaker 1: year old horny boy at all times. It's so gross
- 17:37Speaker 1: the stuff that he says. And Ethan even says, you know,
- 17:40Speaker 1: because he's said many many times that Zach is gay.
- 17:44Speaker 1: He says, look, you know, he does this whole thing,
- 17:46Speaker 1: which I thought about you the whole time. I'm sure
- 17:47Speaker 1: many people the problem with gay people. Listen, people may
- 17:51Speaker 1: not believe in me, but I have no judgment on
- 17:54Speaker 1: gay people, he says, you know, and I really hope
- 17:58Speaker 1: they have a very passionate sex life filled with desire
- 18:02Speaker 1: from both sides. I was like, that's your sister.
- 18:06Speaker 2: When I was a weird thing to say. When I
- 18:10Speaker 2: was with Ethan and he was obsessed with sex and
- 18:14Speaker 2: anything like that. Again, it was normalized to me because
- 18:17Speaker 2: of how men are in the fundamental world, and I
- 18:19Speaker 2: didn't think much of it. As the years went on,
- 18:22Speaker 2: every time he would like tell a story to camera
- 18:25Speaker 2: or things like that, I mean, he had some famous stories,
- 18:30Speaker 2: infamous stories he told throughout the seasons of things sexual stuff,
- 18:35Speaker 2: and I would always be so embarrassed, but I would
- 18:38Speaker 2: kind of laugh it off because I was like, I
- 18:39Speaker 2: don't really know what to say. This is Ethan, like,
- 18:42Speaker 2: this is what gets him views people like this. The
- 18:44Speaker 2: producers always thought it was really funny, and so I
- 18:46Speaker 2: would just kind of laugh long and I was embarrassed.
- 18:49Speaker 2: Now that we're not together and I see him do
- 18:51Speaker 2: these things, I see it differently. I just I can't
- 18:54Speaker 2: believe that I ever just kind of let that slide
- 18:57Speaker 2: and thought it was normal, whether it was him talking
- 18:59Speaker 2: about him disturbating in church as a child or things
- 19:03Speaker 2: like that. Now that I see that he's drawing his
- 19:05Speaker 2: girlfriend naked and think that thinks that that's funny, or
- 19:08Speaker 2: making comments about his sister's sex slave, I I can
- 19:12Speaker 2: now see it for being as creepy as it is,
- 19:15Speaker 2: And I know now why I was so embarrassed when
- 19:17Speaker 2: I was younger, even if I didn't have the words
- 19:18Speaker 2: for it.
- 19:19Speaker 1: It's interesting too because there's a scene where after the engagement,
- 19:25Speaker 1: Micah and Ethan pull Zach to beside and they're like,
- 19:29Speaker 1: do you want to kiss her? Are you gay? Are
- 19:31Speaker 1: you interested in women at all? And Zach's having to
- 19:34Speaker 1: sort of explain himself. Micah, you know, kind of does
- 19:38Speaker 1: the like we have a lot of gay friends, and
- 19:39Speaker 1: I don't have any problem with gay people. But it's like, okay,
- 19:42Speaker 1: but he's marrying your that's not the point. The point
- 19:45Speaker 1: is not whether you have gay friends. It was so awkward,
- 19:48Speaker 1: but you know, Ethan's like, you know, I'm a I'm
- 19:50Speaker 1: a man, and obviously you know men like to fuck
- 19:53Speaker 1: their women.
- 19:54Speaker 2: You know.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Basically it's like do you want to fuck my sister?
- 19:56Speaker 1: It's just so you're like the gross, like you're talking
- 20:00Speaker 1: about your sister sex life like gross.
- 20:02Speaker 2: Also, he didn't the last year that we were married,
- 20:06Speaker 2: he refused to be intimate with me because he said
- 20:09Speaker 2: he refused to be intimate with someone who was opposing
- 20:11Speaker 2: political views to his. So I don't really know why
- 20:15Speaker 2: he thinks he has a leg to stand on there, but.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Well, we talk a lot this season about his jeans
- 20:20Speaker 1: being pulled all the way up into his balls. We're like, why, why,
- 20:24Speaker 1: why are you now put your jeans up so high
- 20:28Speaker 1: and why? Anyways, that's a topic coy.
- 20:30Speaker 2: I see when people ask me, like, so, this black
- 20:33Speaker 2: shirt and jeans is his uniform, right, Like he never
- 20:36Speaker 2: picked it off. Is this what he wore when you
- 20:37Speaker 2: guys were together? And I'm like, no, he had a
- 20:38Speaker 2: different uniform he wore then. But the funny thing is
- 20:42Speaker 2: I went to one of the Minnesota cousin's weddings last
- 20:45Speaker 2: year because they invited me, and I never saw Ethan there,
- 20:49Speaker 2: although I assumed he'd be there. He apparently showed up
- 20:51Speaker 2: during the ceremony. You'll never guess what he was wearing
- 20:53Speaker 2: to this wedding.
- 20:55Speaker 1: Black T shirt and jeans. Yes to my wedding, hiked.
- 20:58Speaker 2: All the way up with the sunglasses on, never took
- 21:01Speaker 2: his sunglasses off once even during inside reception and dinner,
- 21:05Speaker 2: and then left like super early because he didn't want
- 21:08Speaker 2: to be there if I was there, And I'm just
- 21:10Speaker 2: he had a girlfriend at the time, and I'm like, okay,
- 21:14Speaker 2: I lively life. I don't know, but maybe get a
- 21:18Speaker 2: different outfit.
- 21:20Speaker 1: This season though it seems really divided, right. It really
- 21:24Speaker 1: is Barry and the daughters versus Kim and the sons.
- 21:28Speaker 1: It's very weird how Kim's just like boys'll be boys,
- 21:31Speaker 1: and it's so funny that they're trying to light fires.
- 21:34Speaker 1: When Zach is trying to get engaged with oh, Ethan
- 21:37Speaker 1: just he got mad and went off of his car.
- 21:39Speaker 1: It's all very girls, Kim and the boys versus Kim
- 21:45Speaker 1: and the boys versus Very and the girls. And even
- 21:47Speaker 1: Kim approaches Ethan and Isaac at the rehearsal and says,
- 21:52Speaker 1: later tonight, the three of us are going to confront
- 21:55Speaker 1: Lydia with the red flags that we see. Yeah, this
- 21:58Speaker 1: is the mother of the bride.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:00Speaker 1: At the rehearsal.
- 22:01Speaker 2: It's really interesting when you see who Kim favors. It's
- 22:05Speaker 2: whatever child will feed into her ego. So Lydia used
- 22:10Speaker 2: to be Kim's favorite. When Lydia would tattle on the
- 22:12Speaker 2: other kids, when she would confirm Kim's ego, that Kim
- 22:16Speaker 2: was a great parent. It was just Mike and Mariah
- 22:18Speaker 2: that were rebellious. It all worked out. Look at Lydia,
- 22:20Speaker 2: and now that Lydia is still living that lifestyle, but
- 22:24Speaker 2: Kim is different. All of a sudden, Ethan is Kim's favorite. Well,
- 22:28Speaker 2: before Ethan, it was Mariah. When Mariah started going back
- 22:32Speaker 2: and best friends with her mom, then it was Mariah
- 22:33Speaker 2: because it was like, see, it was Mariah's problem along.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Now me and Mariah are really close and Mariah can
- 22:38Speaker 2: kind of help get Ethan back to the fold, And
- 22:40Speaker 2: now we don't see Kim spending that much time with
- 22:43Speaker 2: Mariah anymore. All of a sudden, it's Ethan. Also, Ethan
- 22:45Speaker 2: is her favorite after being a stranger for many years,
- 22:47Speaker 2: because Ethan now feeds into her ego, and it's to me.
- 22:53Speaker 2: I think a lot of people miss that. But if
- 22:56Speaker 2: you look at kind of the big picture of how
- 22:59Speaker 2: Kim's witches favorite literally is whatever kid will help her
- 23:03Speaker 2: do what she wants to do.
- 23:06Speaker 1: And feed into her ego, it's such a great point.
- 23:10Speaker 1: That's really really interesting. That's really interesting because you're right,
- 23:13Speaker 1: all of a sudden, she and Mariah were so closed
- 23:15Speaker 1: last year, and you're like, huh, Like remember Mayer, remember
- 23:19Speaker 1: the one that you kicked out of the house at
- 23:20Speaker 1: sixteen because she wanted to wear a tank top to
- 23:22Speaker 1: the bowling Alley, like, you know, like what that's very
- 23:27Speaker 1: very interesting speaking of that reminds me of the Three
- 23:31Speaker 1: little Girls. I mean Amber now is sixteen and doing
- 23:33Speaker 1: the makeup at the wedding, which was like Amber's like
- 23:36Speaker 1: the new Lydia's like, not only do you have to
- 23:37Speaker 1: be made of honor, you also have to do everyone's makeup.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Do the three younger girls go to actual school?
- 23:45Speaker 2: Do you know?
- 23:46Speaker 1: Still don't know, still don't attend school, even though now
- 23:49Speaker 1: they like live in a house in a neighborhood and.
- 23:51Speaker 2: The whole thing.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Yeah, do you know if it is correct what Kim
- 23:57Speaker 1: posts this season, she has very come over and it
- 24:00Speaker 1: was like, I really need help with the child support.
- 24:03Speaker 1: You know, she has like a waitressing job. And he's like, yeah,
- 24:06Speaker 1: that's tough. You don't have any money. That's too bad
- 24:07Speaker 1: for you. Like he doesn't, And I was like, well, legally,
- 24:10Speaker 1: actually he should be giving child support to those three
- 24:13Speaker 1: kids that are minors.
- 24:15Speaker 2: I mean, here's what I know of their finances, and
- 24:19Speaker 2: this is based on a decade's worth of knowledge. But
- 24:21Speaker 2: I have not been in the family for two years. Yeah,
- 24:24Speaker 2: I hear things from extended family members or through the grapevine.
- 24:27Speaker 2: But just putting that out there. Number one, Like, when
- 24:31Speaker 2: before the show ever started, Barry was the only one
- 24:33Speaker 2: with an income and a job. Absolutely, yes, Kim did
- 24:36Speaker 2: have an MLM business that she made money off of,
- 24:38Speaker 2: but still very very traditional, typical family money situation. When
- 24:43Speaker 2: the show started, Barry gave all that money to Kim.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Whatever was made off the show, Kim took and used
- 24:51Speaker 2: that for various things, and she wasted it all. She
- 24:54Speaker 2: would drop like fifty thousand dollars on, you know, something
- 24:58Speaker 2: for the farm because she wanted to be a wedding
- 25:00Speaker 2: venue that never happened. She would drop x amount of
- 25:03Speaker 2: money on a dance studio because she thought she was
- 25:04Speaker 2: going to be a dance teacher that never happened. And
- 25:06Speaker 2: it's like financial thing after thing that she would just
- 25:09Speaker 2: spend a ton of money on that never panned out
- 25:11Speaker 2: to anything. And then when they started renting out all
- 25:17Speaker 2: these properties, she also got that income. They split it.
- 25:21Speaker 2: So present day, to the best of my knowledge, Barry
- 25:23Speaker 2: still is working a full time job. Yes, has that income.
- 25:27Speaker 2: He's also paying the mortgage on the house that Kim
- 25:30Speaker 2: wanted to buy in kro when they left the farm,
- 25:33Speaker 2: so he's now acquired that house debt. He's also paying
- 25:37Speaker 2: the mortgage on one of the other properties in town
- 25:39Speaker 2: that she wanted to buy. She's getting a huge cut
- 25:42Speaker 2: from the show of what's made her and Barry split
- 25:45Speaker 2: that now, Okay. She's also getting incoming rent from Airbnb
- 25:48Speaker 2: properties that they have out, and she's working a part
- 25:50Speaker 2: time job. The honest truth is she's not good at
- 25:53Speaker 2: managing her money. Yeah, whether paperwork says Barry owes her something,
- 25:58Speaker 2: I wouldn't be surprised because he does have a full
- 26:00Speaker 2: time job. But I can say very confidently she does
- 26:03Speaker 2: not manage her money well. And she is making money.
- 26:06Speaker 2: She's spending on things like boats and airplanes and forerunners
- 26:10Speaker 2: and qua I mean not for runners, four wheelers and
- 26:12Speaker 2: quads and this and that, and trips and drinking and
- 26:16Speaker 2: stuff like that. Yeah. And squirts, yeah, yeah, and squirts
- 26:20Speaker 2: all the sports.
- 26:23Speaker 1: It's interesting because you know, when she was saying to him, like,
- 26:26Speaker 1: I need this money for the kids. I was like, oh,
- 26:28Speaker 1: my God, don't make us now root for Kim. Yeah,
- 26:31Speaker 1: but we're like, God, Barry, if you owe money for
- 26:33Speaker 1: the kids, she should get money for the kids. Like
- 26:35Speaker 1: it's we're always so torn and you know, we do
- 26:40Speaker 1: this a lot. We're like, Okay, Barry does seem to
- 26:43Speaker 1: be the more consistent, better parent, but like, don't make us,
- 26:46Speaker 1: don't make us like Barry. He's at here like sexualizing
- 26:48Speaker 1: these kids, you know.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, no, I will say he does have the
- 26:51Speaker 2: kids more than she does, but no, all right, So why.
- 26:58Speaker 1: Do you think Ethan specifically regarding this wedding and Lydia
- 27:03Speaker 1: and Zach? Why does he have so much for my
- 27:07Speaker 1: knowledge just from watching this show. It's not like he
- 27:11Speaker 1: and Lydia were best friends and spoke on the phone
- 27:13Speaker 1: every single day, and he's really from what I could see,
- 27:15Speaker 1: he hadn't praarely talked to her in two years. So
- 27:18Speaker 1: why is he being such a jerk about the wedding
- 27:21Speaker 1: and such a jerk about Zach. Yes, maybe it's too fast,
- 27:24Speaker 1: but you've never seen two people more student to each
- 27:26Speaker 1: other than these two, you know. Yeah.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Honestly, I from a removed armchair diagnosis position, I think
- 27:35Speaker 2: he's really angry that his marriage didn't work out, And
- 27:41Speaker 2: it almost feels like he is turning around and doing
- 27:45Speaker 2: to Zach exactly what his family did to me. And
- 27:48Speaker 2: he's somehow things that I deserved it because he's rewritten history.
- 27:51Speaker 2: It used to be. He would say on the show
- 27:53Speaker 2: to everyone, like, you guys mistreat Olivia, Yes, and she's
- 27:56Speaker 2: only trying to you know, do x y Z. And
- 27:59Speaker 2: he's really everything now Now Suddenly, if I spent time
- 28:02Speaker 2: with the younger kids because I was trying to manipulate them,
- 28:04Speaker 2: even though I genuinely had a relationship and loved his
- 28:07Speaker 2: younger siblings, and he knew that and loved that. It
- 28:11Speaker 2: was only really his parents that I had the issue with.
- 28:13Speaker 2: But all of a sudden, now I only liked his
- 28:15Speaker 2: siblings because I was manipulating them. Like, he's rewritten history
- 28:19Speaker 2: so much the point that he thinks I deserved what
- 28:22Speaker 2: his family did to me. And it's almost like he's
- 28:25Speaker 2: turned around and projected that straight onto Zach and is
- 28:27Speaker 2: doing to Zach exactly what his parents did to me.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Right, And then Veronica also tried to come in and
- 28:33Speaker 1: billy Zach too. She was like, Yeah, here's what we're
- 28:35Speaker 1: going to do today. We're all gonna not talk to him. Okay,
- 28:38Speaker 1: Like how old are you? Like, it's just wild.
- 28:42Speaker 2: I think she's stuck in high school. There's a reason
- 28:45Speaker 2: why she identifies with Regina George and constantly lets everyone
- 28:52Speaker 2: know that that's kind of peak high school mean girl energy.
- 28:55Speaker 2: If in my honest opinion.
- 28:58Speaker 1: It's it's yeah. And the thing about Zac is yes,
- 29:01Speaker 1: Zach is a bit odd. And you'll see on the
- 29:03Speaker 1: wedding episode they do a lot of giggling and jumping
- 29:08Speaker 1: and skipping and squealing and you know what, he's odd,
- 29:13Speaker 1: he's quirky.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Then they'll be quirky together.
- 29:16Speaker 1: But she's quirky too. Yeah, Yeah, Can I just ask
- 29:21Speaker 1: one thing of you watch the actual wedding, just just
- 29:26Speaker 1: that ten minutes, just that ten minutes, because there's a
- 29:30Speaker 1: moment at the altar where Zach and Lydia sing to
- 29:34Speaker 1: each other.
- 29:35Speaker 2: Oh, I've seen the clip of this, but that's okay.
- 29:37Speaker 2: I'd like to protect my hearing.
- 29:39Speaker 1: It's this is another moment where Ethan and tigue and
- 29:44Speaker 1: look at the ground. Veronica covers her face, Kim kind
- 29:48Speaker 1: of does a grimace, and the only one closing his
- 29:50Speaker 1: eyes and taking in the moment is Barry. But we're like,
- 29:53Speaker 1: oh my god, in this one exact moment, we agree
- 29:56Speaker 1: with Ethan Veronica, you know what I mean? Like, because
- 29:59Speaker 1: it was listen, you cover a lot of weddings. You
- 30:02Speaker 1: do a lot of wedding photography. Have you ever seen
- 30:04Speaker 1: two people just break into song and sing to each
- 30:07Speaker 1: other at the altar?
- 30:08Speaker 2: Yes, Lydia's older sister when she got married.
- 30:11Speaker 1: Stop the madness, no way.
- 30:14Speaker 2: Yeah, they sang in an entire song to each other.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Well, Isaac said on the on the episode He goes
- 30:20Speaker 1: it was a little cringey, and yet it seemed like
- 30:23Speaker 1: it went on for thirty minutes. Yeah, Isaac's like it
- 30:26Speaker 1: lasted thirty minutes. It was the listen.
- 30:29Speaker 2: I wouldn't choose to listen to that, But I don't
- 30:30Speaker 2: think any of them have a leg to stand on
- 30:32Speaker 2: because they all think they're the world's best singers, and
- 30:34Speaker 2: we've been subjected to that singing many, many, many times.
- 30:37Speaker 2: So I don't know why all of a sudden they're
- 30:39Speaker 2: cringing and Lydia's doing exactly what they do.
- 30:42Speaker 1: Not one listen. And I hate to and again, I
- 30:45Speaker 1: hate to ever be on Ethan's side about anything, but
- 30:48Speaker 1: I feel like he's the only one I've ever heard
- 30:50Speaker 1: that can maybe carry a tune. And you don't even
- 30:55Speaker 1: agree with that.
- 30:55Speaker 2: But I don't hear he can carry a tune. He
- 30:58Speaker 2: can carry it tune. Yeah. They all have a very
- 31:03Speaker 2: conflated view of their singing abilities. Yeah, so it makes
- 31:10Speaker 2: perfect sense to me that Lydia chose to do that.
- 31:12Speaker 2: That's all she knows. Her family has alwaysought they're the
- 31:14Speaker 2: best at music. Why would she not do it out
- 31:16Speaker 2: her wedding? Again, her older sister did.
- 31:18Speaker 1: Well. Not to upset you, but you would you like
- 31:21Speaker 1: me to play you a clip.
- 31:24Speaker 2: You're trying to make me go deaf.
- 31:27Speaker 1: Okay, I'll just give you. I'll give it to you briefly. Okay, ready,
- 31:29Speaker 1: take my mind.
- 31:35Speaker 2: With you.
- 31:44Speaker 1: That's the first one. The second one is Lydia and
- 31:47Speaker 1: her roommate and Zach singing together because they just burst
- 31:50Speaker 1: into song all the time.
- 31:51Speaker 2: Here they go tuned up for me.
- 32:00Speaker 1: Now, as you can tell from that, Zach and the
- 32:03Speaker 1: roommate have better voices Olivia, and they carry that. But
- 32:08Speaker 1: it's not cute up for you. I have it on
- 32:09Speaker 1: my soundboard to play to torture people all the time.
- 32:15Speaker 1: It's just there.
- 32:16Speaker 2: I'm just a victim.
- 32:18Speaker 1: You were just here and I thought, you know what,
- 32:20Speaker 1: who would like to hear this? It's okay.
- 32:23Speaker 2: When they used to record their family singing albums. I
- 32:26Speaker 2: would be there sitting in the studio, like on the
- 32:29Speaker 2: long studio days, just listening. Usually when a musician goes
- 32:31Speaker 2: in and records an album, they already know their music
- 32:34Speaker 2: inside and out, and they're playing their music to record
- 32:36Speaker 2: an album. They would go in and learn their songs
- 32:39Speaker 2: line by line. They would practice the line till they
- 32:41Speaker 2: got it right, and then record that line, practice the
- 32:44Speaker 2: next line till they got it right, and then record
- 32:45Speaker 2: that line. Like they did not know their music when
- 32:48Speaker 2: they went in at all. And I was always sitting
- 32:51Speaker 2: there like, huh, this makes no sense. If you're recording
- 32:54Speaker 2: an album, that's because you're good enough with your music
- 32:56Speaker 2: that you're at that point, not because you're recording one
- 32:59Speaker 2: line at a time and autotuning it. And they didn't
- 33:01Speaker 2: even play the backing tracks for it, they had the
- 33:03Speaker 2: studio do that. It just always confused me.
- 33:06Speaker 1: So it seems like a waste of time. And the
- 33:11Speaker 1: fact that they have studio albums is also bizarre.
- 33:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:18Speaker 1: Yeah, Do you think, because I do, do you think
- 33:23Speaker 1: that zach Lydia should just move away?
- 33:28Speaker 2: You know, I think it is good for any young
- 33:30Speaker 2: married couple to put some space between them and their
- 33:33Speaker 2: families and figure out who they want to be together.
- 33:36Speaker 2: And I don't view Lydia and Zach as any exception.
- 33:39Speaker 2: I personally know how hard it was to live very
- 33:42Speaker 2: close to the Plath family and just how involved they
- 33:46Speaker 2: get in relationships, so maybe I would add a little
- 33:48Speaker 2: bit more urgency to it. At the end of the day,
- 33:50Speaker 2: it's completely what they want to do. I know that
- 33:52Speaker 2: they want to have grandkids as soon as possible and
- 33:55Speaker 2: be involved with her family, but I think that any
- 33:58Speaker 2: young married couple should consider moving away after the.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Way that the family has treated Zak. And then the
- 34:07Speaker 1: night before the wedding, they pull Lydia aside to try
- 34:11Speaker 1: to have an INTERVINSI with her about her husband being gay.
- 34:15Speaker 1: The night before the wedding, they do this again, and
- 34:18Speaker 1: Lydia brings Barry with her as like a backup because
- 34:22Speaker 1: she knows that they're gonna it's Mom, Ethan and Isaac,
- 34:27Speaker 1: the rage brothers and Mom, and then they confront Lydia
- 34:32Speaker 1: to say like, he's gay, but they had him sit
- 34:34Speaker 1: on the porch while they discussed it. I mean, the
- 34:38Speaker 1: night before the wedding, and Dak's like, how can you
- 34:40Speaker 1: have so much so little respect? For a wedding, much
- 34:44Speaker 1: less your sister's wedding.
- 34:46Speaker 2: It's crazy because Lydia is someone that they have consistently
- 34:51Speaker 2: throughout her life overlooked, ignored, predified, made into the wark
- 34:56Speaker 2: mule for the family, the surrogate for the family, like
- 34:59Speaker 2: they have never once cared about her her and until
- 35:04Speaker 2: she makes a choice for herself. Yeah, and all of
- 35:07Speaker 2: a sudden, they're all up in arms about how much
- 35:10Speaker 2: they want to protect her, and it's like, you've never
- 35:12Speaker 2: wanted to protect her. And I feel badly about that
- 35:15Speaker 2: now because when I look back at when I first
- 35:18Speaker 2: joined their family, and even before, I would always ask
- 35:22Speaker 2: Mica and Mariah to hang out with me because I
- 35:25Speaker 2: knew that they wanted some independence and freedom, and Lydia
- 35:28Speaker 2: would tattle on us all the time. Anything we did,
- 35:30Speaker 2: she would go back and tell him. And this was
- 35:33Speaker 2: even something that was me excluded a dynamic in their family.
- 35:37Speaker 2: It would always be like, don't tell Lydia and Hosannah,
- 35:39Speaker 2: They'll tell Mom. Those are Mom's favorite kids. And I
- 35:43Speaker 2: look back now and it makes me sad that I
- 35:44Speaker 2: perpetuated this structure even further of Lydia being left out
- 35:49Speaker 2: and overlooked and ignored. I wish I had done more
- 35:52Speaker 2: to include her and be kinder to her, but I
- 35:56Speaker 2: am also aware that that structure predicated my time.
- 36:00Speaker 1: Well, there was one part of the season where Lydia
- 36:03Speaker 1: and Zach Go visit Veronica and Micah in in Boca,
- 36:08Speaker 1: and it's very interesting because they're all they're all having
- 36:13Speaker 1: drinks and everything, and I'm like, I didn't know Lydia
- 36:15Speaker 1: would ever have a drink, you know, but there were
- 36:18Speaker 1: it was like Veronica had a special drink and they
- 36:21Speaker 1: kept saying like, well, for first they would say like
- 36:23Speaker 1: because she's about to be twenty one, and then they
- 36:25Speaker 1: would say because she is twenty one.
- 36:27Speaker 2: You know.
- 36:27Speaker 1: I was like, get it right, somebody, whatever's the timeline
- 36:30Speaker 1: because I got her on my list is twenty. But
- 36:33Speaker 1: she apparently was either close, but she was like oh yeah,
- 36:35Speaker 1: I like this drink and stuff like that, and You're like,
- 36:39Speaker 1: so now Lydia is cool, Like now, okay, please tell
- 36:45Speaker 1: us that Micah is the one to be saved, because
- 36:48Speaker 1: we feel like Micah is the one here that's going
- 36:52Speaker 1: to be saved, that he's not joining the Rage Brothers,
- 36:54Speaker 1: and they're what my co hosts Amy says that you know,
- 37:00Speaker 1: eight o'clock every nights when they do their hate crimes.
- 37:02Speaker 1: But it's like we feel like that's why they get
- 37:05Speaker 1: at the wedding. They kept having to leave because you know,
- 37:07Speaker 1: hate crimes start at eight. Allegedly, guys, it's a joke,
- 37:12Speaker 1: but it feels like Micah is always the one to
- 37:15Speaker 1: be like, hey, maybe let's we're just like holding out
- 37:22Speaker 1: a hope for Micah.
- 37:23Speaker 2: I think Micah's more passive as a person, which I
- 37:27Speaker 2: think we see even in his relationship with Veronica Totally.
- 37:33Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 37:34Speaker 2: I think at the end of the day, all he
- 37:36Speaker 2: ever had was each other, and that's what they'll always
- 37:39Speaker 2: go back to, and they're always going to pick each
- 37:41Speaker 2: other over anyone else with a different ideology or who
- 37:45Speaker 2: comes into the family or anything. I was telling someone
- 37:49Speaker 2: yesterday on a different podcast that she asked me who
- 37:51Speaker 2: I had hope for, and I said, look, I don't
- 37:52Speaker 2: think I should ever play in the casino or the
- 37:55Speaker 2: lottery because everyone I had my hope on like they've
- 37:59Speaker 2: gone back. So obviously I'm not good at picking. And
- 38:03Speaker 2: whether any of them she was differently get out, I
- 38:06Speaker 2: don't know the ones that I thought one didn't so
- 38:08Speaker 2: I don't know that I'm the best person to comment
- 38:11Speaker 2: on that.
- 38:12Speaker 1: And the thing too, is with Veronica, like spilling all
- 38:14Speaker 1: this tea and whatnot on social media is everything she
- 38:18Speaker 1: says now we all have to give a side eye
- 38:20Speaker 1: to because we're like, Okay, she did this huge timeline
- 38:23Speaker 1: of what happened at the wedding, but we're seeing in
- 38:25Speaker 1: real time and we're seeing for next week. Probably a
- 38:29Speaker 1: lot of that's not correct. So she's also talking about
- 38:32Speaker 1: Mica being a cheater with men and women and whoever.
- 38:35Speaker 1: Now we're like, yeah, I do think he's a cheater.
- 38:38Speaker 1: He admitted he cheated. But it's like, now are we
- 38:40Speaker 1: gonna like not. You can't believe anything she says now
- 38:44Speaker 1: because she's said so many things that don't now add
- 38:48Speaker 1: up seeing on the show, you.
- 38:50Speaker 2: Know, Yeah, it's crazy because again I do think she
- 38:53Speaker 2: was treated poorly by their family. You also can't call
- 38:58Speaker 2: someone a bully and then turn around to be a bully.
- 39:00Speaker 2: No one's going to believe you anymore, which is exactly
- 39:02Speaker 2: what's happened to her. Yeah, there are things that she
- 39:04Speaker 2: has said about the family that I'm like, that's right,
- 39:07Speaker 2: I know that. Yeah, And then there are other things
- 39:09Speaker 2: that she has said that I'm like, I knew that
- 39:10Speaker 2: family for a decade. There's no that that's not true. Yeah,
- 39:15Speaker 2: Like why would you discredit your own message by embellishing
- 39:18Speaker 2: or live or making things up? Like, why would you
- 39:21Speaker 2: do that to your own record if you want to
- 39:23Speaker 2: be believed?
- 39:24Speaker 1: Yeah? I yeah. And again at the beginning, we were like, Okay,
- 39:28Speaker 1: here's another woman that's going to come in this family
- 39:31Speaker 1: and show it like it is. But it didn't turn
- 39:34Speaker 1: out that way.
- 39:35Speaker 2: Funny because she left me a comment yesterday and a TikTok.
- 39:40Speaker 2: She left me a lot of comments yes to be
- 39:42Speaker 2: on TikTok. She decided in the span of like a
- 39:46Speaker 2: day that she hates me now because I said we
- 39:48Speaker 2: weren't friends, because you're not.
- 39:51Speaker 1: It's not like she's your buddy that you're calling her up.
- 39:53Speaker 2: Or she was telling everyone on Reddit that we talked
- 39:55Speaker 2: every day, and I'm like, no, we don't. But I
- 39:58Speaker 2: was just kind of waiting to see how things played out,
- 40:00Speaker 2: and I was waiting for her to show her behavior
- 40:02Speaker 2: because I'd been told things but I'd never seen it confirmed,
- 40:04Speaker 2: and I wanted to see from her directly. And as
- 40:07Speaker 2: the season has aired and I've seen things from her.
- 40:09Speaker 2: I started to put my like some distance between us
- 40:11Speaker 2: because I don't align with bullies or bigots. It's just
- 40:13Speaker 2: not who I am. She left me in comment yesterday
- 40:16Speaker 2: on TikTok saying that I am the antithesis of everything
- 40:21Speaker 2: that I say I am, and it's very comedic to her.
- 40:23Speaker 2: And she said, I'm I'm always honest, or she said
- 40:26Speaker 2: I'm messy but always honest. And I was like, it's
- 40:30Speaker 2: not even worth my time responding to that, because we
- 40:33Speaker 2: all know you're not honest. Yeah, we know that it's
- 40:37Speaker 2: just not worth my time answering. But it's funny that
- 40:39Speaker 2: she views herself that way.
- 40:42Speaker 1: Yeah, And I kind of go back to the whole
- 40:44Speaker 1: thing with Teagan is like Mike says, she met Teagan
- 40:47Speaker 1: one other time, everything was fine, and now she's got
- 40:51Speaker 1: in her head that Tiegan has only fans and so
- 40:53Speaker 1: she hates her. But he goes, but like, why why
- 40:57Speaker 1: even if Tegan was the biggest only fans star in
- 40:59Speaker 1: the world that have to do with her, why would
- 41:02Speaker 1: that make her hate her?
- 41:03Speaker 2: Yeah, And also, let's for a second entertain a hypothetical situation.
- 41:09Speaker 2: Let's say someone like Tiagan was the biggest only fan
- 41:12Speaker 2: star in the world. And let's say you caught your
- 41:14Speaker 2: boyfriend watching her things and looking at that. Then you
- 41:19Speaker 2: have two choices. You can either talk about how in
- 41:21Speaker 2: your relationship it's okay to view that kind of thing,
- 41:25Speaker 2: or it's not. And if it's not, then you walk
- 41:29Speaker 2: away and break up, Like you give that person a
- 41:32Speaker 2: chance to like, Okay, we're not okay with this, don't
- 41:34Speaker 2: do it again. If it's a repeat offense, then you
- 41:36Speaker 2: walk away and break up. Like why would you say?
- 41:40Speaker 2: I will never accept this behavior. But the way that
- 41:42Speaker 2: you handle that is you can never talk to this
- 41:44Speaker 2: person again, and I'm going to control every move, Like
- 41:47Speaker 2: just just walk away, just.
- 41:48Speaker 1: Break up, Just break up. She clearly thinks he's an
- 41:53Speaker 1: idiot and not you know, in beneath her and all this.
- 41:56Speaker 1: And then she even said in that same therapy session
- 42:00Speaker 1: where she said the family was assessed, well, which is
- 42:03Speaker 1: not the correct word, she said something about the golden rules.
- 42:07Speaker 1: She said, I believe in the Golden rule. You know,
- 42:09Speaker 1: you treat me nice and I'll treat you nice, and
- 42:10Speaker 1: if you don't, I won't treat you nice. And and
- 42:14Speaker 1: Mike goes, yeah, it's like in the Bible, you know,
- 42:18Speaker 1: basically like treat others with respect, or treat others as
- 42:21Speaker 1: you would treat your neighbor as yourself or whatever. And
- 42:24Speaker 1: she just laughs and looks at the therapists like he's
- 42:27Speaker 1: so stupid. The Golden rule is in the Bible, oh
- 42:30Speaker 1: my god.
- 42:30Speaker 2: And I said it was one of the ten Commandments,
- 42:33Speaker 2: and that's not true.
- 42:35Speaker 1: But love your neighbor as yourself is in the Ten Commandments,
- 42:38Speaker 1: which is the same as treating other people with the
- 42:40Speaker 1: same respect you would want them to treat you. Yeah,
- 42:43Speaker 1: I and he's not completely wrong, but she's such an
- 42:46Speaker 1: asshole about everything.
- 42:47Speaker 2: Yeah, love your neighbor as yourself. I don't think it's
- 42:49Speaker 2: in the Ten Commandments. I think that's a command that
- 42:51Speaker 2: Jesus gives the New Testament, where he says love the
- 42:53Speaker 2: Lord or all your heart, someone and strength, and love
- 42:55Speaker 2: your neighbor as yourself.
- 42:56Speaker 1: Okay, so by the way, you would know more than me.
- 42:58Speaker 2: Right. I had a sorry, I mean to be like
- 43:00Speaker 2: right condescendingly. No, No, I had I had a chuckle
- 43:03Speaker 2: when I heard Mica say that, because I was just like,
- 43:06Speaker 2: it's always the people who use the Bible to justify
- 43:09Speaker 2: how they treat other people that don't actually know what's
- 43:11Speaker 2: in the Bible. So I had a chuggle when I
- 43:13Speaker 2: heard Mica say that, But then when I heard Veronica's response,
- 43:15Speaker 2: I was like, Okay, but it's one thing to be
- 43:20Speaker 2: like that's not the correct accuracy. It's another thing to
- 43:24Speaker 2: belittle someone and like treat them that way for it.
- 43:27Speaker 2: I had a chuckle because I was like, that's not right,
- 43:29Speaker 2: and if you claim to be a Christian, like, how
- 43:32Speaker 2: do you not know that? And then but like I
- 43:34Speaker 2: why talk to him that way? Again? Like I don't
- 43:36Speaker 2: understand hating someone so much that you treat them that
- 43:39Speaker 2: way and yet you still want to be in a
- 43:41Speaker 2: relationship with them. Yeah, if you hate someone that much,
- 43:43Speaker 2: break up with them.
- 43:44Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 43:45Speaker 2: Which I don't know if this actually I don't. I
- 43:47Speaker 2: don't think that this will air in this season. But
- 43:48Speaker 2: in one of the conversations I had with Veronica on
- 43:50Speaker 2: the phone, she told me about mike A cheating on her,
- 43:54Speaker 2: and I said to her, I was like, Veronica, plaths aside,
- 43:59Speaker 2: why would you stay with someone who treated you that way? Right?
- 44:02Speaker 2: I don't care if it's a Plath or not. Why
- 44:04Speaker 2: would you stay with someone who treated you that way
- 44:07Speaker 2: walk away, it's not worth it.
- 44:11Speaker 1: But this episode I kind of got the feeling because
- 44:15Speaker 1: she curls his hair before the wedding. It's this whole
- 44:19Speaker 1: scene of her curling his hair, and his hair did
- 44:21Speaker 1: look amazing at the wedding, but now we know why,
- 44:24Speaker 1: and it's a whole thing about he's like, look at me,
- 44:26Speaker 1: and she's like, oh, you look like a porn star.
- 44:27Speaker 1: And you see kind of like a cute moment between
- 44:29Speaker 1: them where they seem kind of like hot for each other,
- 44:32Speaker 1: like for just like four seconds. And then in the car,
- 44:36Speaker 1: you know, she says, I think we look good. We
- 44:39Speaker 1: give off good vibes, which I'm like, the last thing
- 44:41Speaker 1: you go off is good vibes, you give off villain.
- 44:44Speaker 1: But she goes, I think we look good. He goes,
- 44:45Speaker 1: our hair is curled, we look good, And I go,
- 44:48Speaker 1: maybe this is sort of their thing. We're both good looking.
- 44:52Speaker 1: We walk into her room and people are like, WHOA,
- 44:54Speaker 1: look at that stunning couple. Like maybe that's sort of
- 44:56Speaker 1: what they built their relationship on. And so she that's
- 45:00Speaker 1: very important to her to be like, look out, we're
- 45:02Speaker 1: both very attractive. Because I just like trying to find
- 45:07Speaker 1: a reason that she likes him, you know, other than
- 45:09Speaker 1: he's good liking.
- 45:10Speaker 2: My first impression of Micah and Veronica was before they
- 45:16Speaker 2: were like officially officially together, I guess from Mike's point
- 45:19Speaker 2: of view, from Veronica's point of view, they were together.
- 45:21Speaker 2: And this was before Ethan and I split up, and
- 45:26Speaker 2: Micah told Ethan that living in la was becoming too
- 45:31Speaker 2: expensive for him and he was thinking of moving to
- 45:33Speaker 2: Florida to moving with Veronica. And Ethan was like why,
- 45:36Speaker 2: Like you don't really know this girl that well, like
- 45:39Speaker 2: why are you moving in with her? And Micah literally
- 45:41Speaker 2: told Ethan, well, if I live with her, I don't
- 45:42Speaker 2: have to pay rent and I'm kind of broke. And
- 45:46Speaker 2: so that was my first thing where I was like, so,
- 45:48Speaker 2: Mike is just using a girl. And then when I
- 45:51Speaker 2: saw the relationship, I was like, I think they're both
- 45:53Speaker 2: getting something out of this. I'm not quite sure what,
- 45:56Speaker 2: but I think it might be mutual. At the end
- 46:00Speaker 2: end of the day, I really did wish well for them,
- 46:02Speaker 2: because I don't want to wish ill on anyone else's relationship. Yeah,
- 46:09Speaker 2: I really hoped that they'd be able to like figure
- 46:11Speaker 2: it out and make it work, but.
- 46:14Speaker 1: Well for the timeline of this wedding situation. You and
- 46:18Speaker 1: I had talked before, and you were like, kind of,
- 46:20Speaker 1: here's my interesting for my sources, and then what she's
- 46:23Speaker 1: saying kind of does in align with my sources, and
- 46:25Speaker 1: I guess we're going to find out more next week.
- 46:29Speaker 1: But I've been saying all along ago. My understanding is
- 46:31Speaker 1: that I got from you, which is the whole thing
- 46:34Speaker 1: started because she called Kaylin a slut. All we've heard
- 46:39Speaker 1: the whole entire season is her bad mouthing Teagan to
- 46:41Speaker 1: call on Teagan a slut, So I was like, oh,
- 46:43Speaker 1: I wonder if like that got twisted, But no, what
- 46:45Speaker 1: happened is that she saw Isaac and Caylen walking with
- 46:50Speaker 1: Micah and yelled out to Michael, why are you with
- 46:52Speaker 1: that slut because she thought Kaylen was Teagan, And then
- 46:58Speaker 1: Isaac didn't take kindly to his girlfriend being called a slut.
- 47:03Speaker 2: I didn't know the details. I knew that a producer
- 47:07Speaker 2: told me she called Kaylin a slut and that's why
- 47:12Speaker 2: the boys fought. And then when I talked to Veronica
- 47:16Speaker 2: and I this is the last phone conversation we ever had,
- 47:18Speaker 2: she called me after her and Mike ha broke up
- 47:20Speaker 2: that day at the farm. I was like, they all
- 47:21Speaker 2: ganged up on me, which is, well, I've seen some
- 47:25Speaker 2: of the footage that the whole family like sat her
- 47:27Speaker 2: down and they did gang up on her, and like,
- 47:29Speaker 2: I can admit that she was backed into a corner then, yeah.
- 47:34Speaker 2: But also I told her, I was like, well, I've
- 47:37Speaker 2: been told that you called Kaylin a slut, and she
- 47:40Speaker 2: didn't deny it, and I was just like, Veronica, I
- 47:42Speaker 2: will never condone slut shaming a woman, like, we don't
- 47:44Speaker 2: insult woman that way.
- 47:46Speaker 1: And she said it in the last episode. I bet
- 47:48Speaker 1: she said the word slut twelve times. She said it
- 47:52Speaker 1: over and over and over. And Micah said, Veronica is
- 47:54Speaker 1: walking around giving out the vibes like ooh, there's a
- 47:57Speaker 1: slut in air midst and even Mike is like, I mean,
- 48:00Speaker 1: and he goes and I don't understand why she hates
- 48:02Speaker 1: her so bad.
- 48:03Speaker 2: Yeah, when when you and I talked back before like
- 48:07Speaker 2: all of this stuff started coming out, I think I
- 48:10Speaker 2: remember telling you at the time. I could be wrong,
- 48:12Speaker 2: but this is just what my source said that she
- 48:14Speaker 2: called me, and I didn't realize it was because she
- 48:16Speaker 2: mistook them.
- 48:17Speaker 1: She mistook them because they do look exactly like people
- 48:21Speaker 1: are fingers crossed for tiking because it seems like they
- 48:23Speaker 1: unfollowed each other on Instagram or something, or people like
- 48:25Speaker 1: fingers crossed. The teaking came to her senses. But I
- 48:31Speaker 1: don't know. Yeah, I don't know Taylan. I don't know
- 48:35Speaker 1: she's real country. But you know, I speak country, so
- 48:39Speaker 1: I I interested her just fine. People were like, what
- 48:43Speaker 1: is she even saying? I was like what, And they
- 48:45Speaker 1: were like making fun of some words that she said.
- 48:47Speaker 1: I go, well, that's how I say it too, so
- 48:50Speaker 1: like like naked and said naked and you know, so
- 48:55Speaker 1: Hoseana was at the wedding. They blurred her out, even
- 48:57Speaker 1: if it was like half a mile away. It was
- 48:59Speaker 1: the tiniest blur. But I mean, obviously she's blurred out,
- 49:03Speaker 1: now does she? Is she also teen? Barry? We have
- 49:05Speaker 1: to assume she's because the girls are seen Barry. I'm
- 49:08Speaker 1: not sure.
- 49:09Speaker 2: I know that she still talks to a lot of
- 49:11Speaker 2: her family and is close with them. I'm not sure
- 49:14Speaker 2: who's included in that and who's not.
- 49:16Speaker 1: They they talk so much about, you know, Zach's like
- 49:18Speaker 1: I've met the whole family. Everybody in the fam. They
- 49:20Speaker 1: talk so much about the whole family, the whole family.
- 49:22Speaker 1: I have the whole family, but they it's like she's
- 49:24Speaker 1: I put up a picture at least once a week
- 49:26Speaker 1: and it's like Hosannah, like rip because I was like,
- 49:29Speaker 1: you haven't met the whole family. We haven't seen Hosannah,
- 49:32Speaker 1: but they actually doesn't exist at all.
- 49:34Speaker 2: Well, I think that this makes sense to me because
- 49:40Speaker 2: from season one, Hosannah briefly appeared in season one and
- 49:43Speaker 2: then he wasn't on the show. And if the show
- 49:46Speaker 2: is following your family's life and there's a family member
- 49:49Speaker 2: who one lives far away, you don't see very often
- 49:53Speaker 2: and does not want to be on the show, or
- 49:55Speaker 2: is not included on the show, you wouldn't bring them up.
- 49:59Speaker 2: You like, respect their private life.
- 50:01Speaker 1: You let them do that.
- 50:02Speaker 2: So from halfway through season one starting season two, Hoseannah
- 50:07Speaker 2: was never a part of the show, and we all
- 50:12Speaker 2: kind of became used to saying, oh, the whole family,
- 50:14Speaker 2: meaning the whole family on the show, and she knows
- 50:17Speaker 2: bar Away and she's the only one, so like it
- 50:19Speaker 2: just kind of morphed. And I know a lot of
- 50:20Speaker 2: people have talked about like that. They even forget she exists,
- 50:23Speaker 2: but it's a natural like thing that happens over time
- 50:29Speaker 2: when a family member wants a private life and everyone
- 50:31Speaker 2: else is public, and you get used to addressing the
- 50:34Speaker 2: public group and the other one is just kind of
- 50:37Speaker 2: like you let them live their private life. That makes
- 50:39Speaker 2: sense to me.
- 50:40Speaker 1: Well, it's a little bit like this is throwing it
- 50:42Speaker 1: way back to way before your time. But one of
- 50:44Speaker 1: the first reality shows was The Osbourne about Ozzy Osbourne,
- 50:47Speaker 1: and the sister was never on, and people are like,
- 50:50Speaker 1: why don't they ever talk about this sisters Like she
- 50:51Speaker 1: decided she didn't want to do it.
- 50:53Speaker 2: Yeah, so you're not going to talk about someone who
- 50:55Speaker 2: who doesn't want a public life.
- 50:57Speaker 1: But it just seemed like they would even be like,
- 50:59Speaker 1: we're so happy but because a grand Banser here, my
- 51:01Speaker 1: sister Hosannah is here, just.
- 51:02Speaker 2: Like to be. But they just, I mean, the same
- 51:05Speaker 2: thing for sharing photos of her on social She doesn't
- 51:08Speaker 2: want her photos shared on social she doesn't want her
- 51:11Speaker 2: four kids on social media, like, none of that. So
- 51:13Speaker 2: it just becomes a natural thing when you're really used
- 51:16Speaker 2: to leaving someone out of the equation that you just
- 51:19Speaker 2: start to talk about the remaining equation as the whole well.
- 51:23Speaker 1: I imagine, being that she was Hosanna in the highest
- 51:26Speaker 1: and then there was Lydia that we imagined that she
- 51:30Speaker 1: probably also turned on Kim since Kim decided to leave
- 51:33Speaker 1: this lead this who she lifestyle with Kim.
- 51:35Speaker 2: I knew her and Kim are not close like they
- 51:37Speaker 2: used to be. They used to be joined at the hip. Yeah,
- 51:41Speaker 2: And anytime Ethan and I would try to have a
- 51:42Speaker 2: conversation with Kim about her behavior and things going on,
- 51:45Speaker 2: she always had to bring Hosanna to be her back up.
- 51:49Speaker 2: And I know they're not close like that anymore, but
- 51:51Speaker 2: I don't really know the nature of all of her
- 51:52Speaker 2: other relationships.
- 51:54Speaker 1: Lydia and Zach were on one of the Dugger People podcasts,
- 51:59Speaker 1: and it was very interesting me the language that Lydia
- 52:03Speaker 1: used around her mother, because she would say things like
- 52:07Speaker 1: I was seventeen when my mother left us, like things
- 52:11Speaker 1: like that, and I was like, that's very It's interesting, right,
- 52:17Speaker 1: It's like because Lydia was always the one Cinderelli in
- 52:19Speaker 1: the kitchen doing all the work. And let me tell
- 52:21Speaker 1: you something else about that you just said. That sparked
- 52:23Speaker 1: something to me about Lydia kind of being a non entity. Right.
- 52:29Speaker 1: The very first episode of this season, we have the
- 52:32Speaker 1: two of them, the broke down Tony soprano, Ethan out
- 52:38Speaker 1: with his cigar and his black T shirt, and then
- 52:40Speaker 1: Kim with a terrible camera angle, and they're sitting in
- 52:43Speaker 1: these folding chairs in the middle of the woods like
- 52:46Speaker 1: total Hillbillies and the words of Veronica, and they're like,
- 52:50Speaker 1: this happened, this happened. And Lydia, where nothing much happens
- 52:53Speaker 1: to had something exciting happened. I was like, what a
- 52:56Speaker 1: rude thing to say about your daughter and your sister
- 52:58Speaker 1: like Lydia, who nothing ever happens with. Yeah, it's just
- 53:02Speaker 1: like that. I really listen. I just wish that Lydia
- 53:05Speaker 1: and Zach would move away and start their own life
- 53:09Speaker 1: and be near his family, which seems to be much
- 53:12Speaker 1: more functional, and she doesn't need to be around these
- 53:15Speaker 1: people that openly or calling her husband gay and making
- 53:19Speaker 1: fun of him and not supporting their marriage. I mean
- 53:23Speaker 1: for her mother and the kids, for her mother to
- 53:25Speaker 1: go just like Ethan said, they just want to fuck,
- 53:28Speaker 1: and you're like, that is your daughter, ma'am.
- 53:31Speaker 2: If Zach and Lydia want to make their relationship work,
- 53:35Speaker 2: I think moving away is in their best interest.
- 53:39Speaker 1: But they chose to move to Tallahassee to be closer
- 53:42Speaker 1: to the family.
- 53:44Speaker 2: Also to be on the show.
- 53:45Speaker 1: Also to be on the show. Okay, so we will
- 53:49Speaker 1: end with this. Last time I asked you these questions,
- 53:51Speaker 1: I'm going to ask you again with different characters. Okay.
- 53:57Speaker 1: Oh no, if you had to be on a stranded
- 53:59Speaker 1: issland with one person from the show, yeah, I'm gonna
- 54:04Speaker 1: give you the three people to choose far Okay. The
- 54:08Speaker 1: three choices this time were Veronica, Isaac or Ethan.
- 54:21Speaker 2: The Rage brothers feel like they could commit hate crime
- 54:23Speaker 2: any day, so I'm gonna choose Veronica.
- 54:25Speaker 1: Okay, do you think? But see last time, you based
- 54:28Speaker 1: your your answers on who would help you get off
- 54:31Speaker 1: the island, and you said, we said that Mica would
- 54:34Speaker 1: be too busy doing selfies, and Lydia would be off
- 54:36Speaker 1: singing in the forest, and somebody else. You said, Mariah
- 54:39Speaker 1: would just leave you alone. And You're like, and I
- 54:40Speaker 1: don't need their help to build a raft to get
- 54:41Speaker 1: off this island.
- 54:42Speaker 2: I mean that was when my choices were very much
- 54:46Speaker 2: based on staying alive. With three brothers, there's no guarantee,
- 54:50Speaker 2: so I'll take Oh no.
- 54:51Speaker 1: No, no, they're taking you down first.
- 54:53Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, sure, and it's two against one, so I'll.
- 54:56Speaker 1: Go with Ronica. Now I have another last for you.
- 55:01Speaker 1: I don't like to say Mary fuck kill because I
- 55:03Speaker 1: don't think kill is nice, so I would say Mary
- 55:06Speaker 1: fuck blast into space. Okay, okay, Ken, Barry Isaac. Terrible choices,
- 55:17Speaker 1: but this is the game, Ken, Barry Isaac, Mary fuck
- 55:24Speaker 1: send to space.
- 55:26Speaker 2: We're sending all three of them to space. I cannot
- 55:29Speaker 2: play that game, like, there is actually no way I
- 55:32Speaker 2: can answer.
- 55:32Speaker 1: That because it would mean you'd have to bang one
- 55:35Speaker 1: of them.
- 55:36Speaker 2: I'm gonna log off now.
- 55:44Speaker 1: Okay, Well, tell me what's going on with you. You
- 55:46Speaker 1: still have your cute boyfriend Brendan. I do, yes, yes.
- 55:51Speaker 2: I keep our relationship very private offline, and it works
- 55:55Speaker 2: really really well for us. He's a very private person.
- 55:58Speaker 2: Agreed to go on the show for a hot second
- 56:00Speaker 2: to support me and said I don't ever want to
- 56:03Speaker 2: do that again. So anyways, yeah, I keep our relationship offline.
- 56:07Speaker 2: That works really well for us. But we're still together.
- 56:10Speaker 1: Okay, And then you're still doing your amazing photography and
- 56:14Speaker 1: I just saw you were all over you were like Croatia, Italy, France.
- 56:18Speaker 1: I was like, is she working? She is she partying?
- 56:21Speaker 1: Is she what is she doing?
- 56:22Speaker 2: I have always loved to travel, and I do travel
- 56:26Speaker 2: and nationally for weddings. I had a wedding in Italy.
- 56:28Speaker 2: This year, I had a wedding in France. But on
- 56:29Speaker 2: top of that, I've recently started kind of stepping into
- 56:32Speaker 2: the travel collaboration space, and so I collaborated with a
- 56:36Speaker 2: few travel companies this year. I went to six different
- 56:40Speaker 2: European countries on one and then I'm going to Zimbabwe
- 56:43Speaker 2: for a month with another.
- 56:44Speaker 1: Yeow.
- 56:46Speaker 2: It has kind of opened this door, this opportunity to
- 56:50Speaker 2: host group trips with these companies. So I go on
- 56:52Speaker 2: a trip first, I kind of see what it's all about.
- 56:54Speaker 2: I create social media content for them, and if I
- 56:55Speaker 2: like working with them, I can host a group chip
- 56:57Speaker 2: in the future. So I'm currently getting ready to host
- 57:00Speaker 2: a group trip. It'll be for next summer in Europe,
- 57:03Speaker 2: and we're gonna announce all the details in like next
- 57:05Speaker 2: week or so, and I'm super super excited. It's something
- 57:08Speaker 2: that I never really thought of as a good fit
- 57:12Speaker 2: for me. I didn't really realize that existed, and then
- 57:15Speaker 2: the more I thought about how much I love to travel,
- 57:17Speaker 2: how much has changed me as a person and contributed
- 57:20Speaker 2: to my deconstruction and evolution. Then it just kind of
- 57:23Speaker 2: made sense that I'd want to share that with other people.
- 57:25Speaker 2: So yeah, starting next summer, I'm hosting my first group trip.
- 57:30Speaker 1: That is cool to how many people can go on
- 57:31Speaker 1: this trip?
- 57:32Speaker 2: The one that we're going to announce first, I think
- 57:34Speaker 2: has twelve squats open.
- 57:38Speaker 1: Can can elderly ladies contend?
- 57:41Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 57:41Speaker 1: Any age?
- 57:44Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 57:45Speaker 1: I saw the one that you did. I think was Croatia,
- 57:46Speaker 1: and you're like, I never thought about coming here, but
- 57:48Speaker 1: everybody talks about how beautiful Croatia is.
- 57:50Speaker 2: Yeah. So the one that I'm doing next year will
- 57:52Speaker 2: be Northern Macedonia, Albania, Croatia, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Slovenia. I think
- 57:59Speaker 2: I might have Montenegro. I missed one, so it'll be
- 58:02Speaker 2: like through the Balkans. There six different countries and if
- 58:05Speaker 2: that one books up, we'll open up a second one.
- 58:08Speaker 1: Wow, you're killing it.
- 58:10Speaker 2: Thank you. I'm genuinely so excited for this.
- 58:13Speaker 1: And if everybody wants to find you and find out
- 58:16Speaker 1: how to find out about your travels and all that,
- 58:19Speaker 1: where can they find you?
- 58:20Speaker 2: The best place is Instagram. My Instagram is Olivia Marie
- 58:24Speaker 2: Plath and everything that I do is linked there.
- 58:27Speaker 1: Do you have any comments for the people that say
- 58:29Speaker 1: you shouldn't have the last name Plath?
- 58:32Speaker 2: If they want it so badly, they can go down
- 58:35Speaker 2: to the courthouse and change their last name to Plath. Yeah.
- 58:38Speaker 1: I think you know, if I was to get divorced,
- 58:41Speaker 1: I would keep Mary paying Gilbert because that's just my
- 58:43Speaker 1: name now, you know.
- 58:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I went through all of the hard work to
- 58:48Speaker 2: change all of my federal paperworkover to change everything in
- 58:51Speaker 2: the system to my married name, and I am not
- 58:53Speaker 2: about one to go through all the work of changing
- 58:55Speaker 2: it back to This is my identity. This is my
- 58:59Speaker 2: adult identity, what I've done all of my business under.
- 59:01Speaker 2: It's who I've become known as. If I were to
- 59:04Speaker 2: go back to my maiden name, I'm not that person anymore.
- 59:07Speaker 2: And for everyone who's like, well, then just come up
- 59:09Speaker 2: with a completely separate name, like you have to make
- 59:11Speaker 2: something up why last name? Last names don't belong to men?
- 59:17Speaker 2: And anytime Ethan's like I mean not Ethan, that was
- 59:20Speaker 2: a Fordian slip. Anytime people will say, well, that's Ethan's
- 59:24Speaker 2: last name. You can't keep it. I'm like, it's not
- 59:27Speaker 2: his last name, because you could go to the courthouse
- 59:29Speaker 2: and get the exact same last name if you belong
- 59:31Speaker 2: to anyone. It's crazy.
- 59:34Speaker 1: Yeah, and just see how long it took for you
- 59:36Speaker 1: to try to get your driver's license changed. Think how
- 59:38Speaker 1: long it takes to switch that stuff back. Yeah, oh
- 59:40Speaker 1: my god, I'm.
- 59:42Speaker 2: Not about to do that.
- 59:43Speaker 1: Oh okay, Well, everybody follow Olivia Olivia, me Marie Plath,
- 59:49Speaker 1: and also follow me at Pink Shade Pod. Don't hang up,
- 59:51Speaker 1: and thank you, Olivia. I'll always love talking to you.
- 59:54Speaker 2: Thank you for having me back five
