- 0:00SPEAKER_01: I do love Merle's text to where they said senior sunrise.
- 0:04SPEAKER_01: Sounds great.
- 0:04SPEAKER_01: Uh very positive uh thing to do for once with the kids, which is great.
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: You know, the breakfast uh a couple of the schools for the seniors in high school do this where they watch the sun come up, which right now is kind of foggy.
- 0:15SPEAKER_01: So have fun with that.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: Um still what a cool tradition.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 0:19SPEAKER_01: It's like w a great way to start the school year.
- 0:21SPEAKER_01: Oh, completely.
- 0:22SPEAKER_01: Then they move on and said, Yeah, then the parking lot stuff.
- 0:25SPEAKER_01: Crazy.
- 0:26SPEAKER_01: Uh seen it uh both myself, uh it's like somebody takes over the entire lot.
- 0:31SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 0:31SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 0:32SPEAKER_01: We forgot how that works.
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: Move your butt up.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: But I asked you, what do you guys call the pile of blankets that you throw on the floor?
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: Usually uh during the summer this happens a ton.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: Actually, this always happened on Fridays with me and all my girlfriends.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: We would go to the Friday football games and then we would go to somebody's house, throw a bunch of blankets on the floor, and then we'd lay and watch movies after the game.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: What do you guys call it?
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: Well, I thought it was just a pile of blankets.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: No, not at all.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: I love this one, Movie Pit.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: What a great name.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: It's a good name.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: This is the name I was looking for.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: And there's no right answer, but this is the one.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: We've always called it a palette.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: That also came up from a couple people.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: It came up from Holly, also came up from Erica.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: Uh somebody else calls it glamping.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: So cute.
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: 2648 said a mess.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: Uh, floor lounger was another one.
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: Oh, I love that one.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: The floor lounger.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: Uh then I always called the pile of blankets the piggy pile.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: Oh, this is a few.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: Which is so cute.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: Uh, this one came from 9248.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: No name for the pile of blankets, but we call blankets whobies.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: Oh, so it's the pile of whobies.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: The pile of whoopies.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: The whoopie pile.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: It's funny how when you're a kid, you can lay on a pile of blankets.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: If I had to watch a movie on a pile of blankets, I would need three people to get me off the ground.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, yes.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: Will you have to roll and then get on your hands and knees like you're doing like cat, cow, and yoga?
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: Like up until a certain age, you're like, yeah, I'm gonna lay right here.
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: This is great.
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: You can spend the whole night on the damn floor.
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: Me?
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: Oh no.
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: Somebody get a hold of me.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: Listen to this one, 9604.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: I don't know what the pile of blankets is called, but I do know just last night I walked to find my 23-year-old and his girlfriend.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: They had every cushion, pillow, and blanket off the couch, and we're watching a movie on the floor.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: That was also like the elite pile.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: Yes, when you had the cushions.
- 2:22SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: Why is it that you want it on the floor?
- 2:25SPEAKER_01: Uh I don't know what the I mean, f I mean, I you get to a certain age, it's less of a fall.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
- 2:32SPEAKER_01: But then again, that's maybe a little older.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: And once you get older, you're like, I'm not getting on that floor.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: I have to even there are times where Zach's on the couch and I have to hold his hand and arm, and you can't get him off the couch.
- 2:47SPEAKER_01: You you're like one step away from one of those electric chairs where it like lifts him off.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: My grandfather used to have one of those.
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: You should have you should have gotten it.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: Those things are the greatest thing ever.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: We would play with it all the time.
- 2:57SPEAKER_01: If you would have had the foresight to know you'd have been dating an old man, you could have had it in your living room waiting for him.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: Because they're really expensive.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: But I remember like all the little kids would come over and play with it too.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: Because you just want to be like dumped right off.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: Did you?
- 3:12SPEAKER_01: It's like a dump trailer.
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: Did your grandfather Did your grandfather also have the uh uh chair that went up the stairs so he didn't have to climb?
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: Oh yes! Yes, they had that too.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: They also had the chair for the bathroom, too.
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: Oh and the shower.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: They had it all.
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: Two one posting to Scott and Allie.
- 3:31SPEAKER_01: Scott and Allie's big three.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: We go from a pile of whoopbies for a 10-year-old to the old man lift up the stairs.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: Also, that elevator, another thing as kids, we always were riding.
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: Yes, and they're like, knock it off.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: 20 minutes.
- 3:46SPEAKER_01: Oh, I know.
- 3:46SPEAKER_01: Oh, you know, that's the thing.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: Hold on a second.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: You know what's great for what it's great for though?
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: What uh what?
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: Food.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: Well, it is, but like a dummy waiter.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: It is.
- 3:55SPEAKER_01: Have you ever noticed how slow they are?
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: Oh, so slow.
- 3:58SPEAKER_01: You think an old person has that much time to go up and down the stairs?
- 4:01SPEAKER_01: Like they're counting the minutes here before it's done.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's so true.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: My grandfather used to say, Alicia, I'm so old, I don't even buy my bananas green.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:11unknown: All right.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: The big three brought to you by E and V Energy.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: Getting those cooler temps.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: If you're looking for kerosene, propane, hit up E and V Energy.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: You'll actually talk to a real person when you call them.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: Number one, it's a story that, well, it happened when we were gone.
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: So I just want to cover this really quick.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: The high-profile Lindsay Clancy case.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: Well, the murder trial of this mother charged with killing her three small children was declared a mistrial after the jury failed to reach a unanimous decision.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: I was not shocked.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: Because and we I had a little bonfire on Saturday, and some friends were saying things like, um, yeah, if there's well, this is one of the points that I made.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: If there's a jury of nine women, there's there was nine women on there.
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: This could go both ways because they can go, oh, postpartum, of course.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: Like we we understand that.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: But then you also get women who go, I can't imagine killing my child.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: So I was not surprised that this is where it ended up.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: And it was taking so many days that I'm like, what's going on in there?
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: By the way, it reared its head head again.
- 5:17SPEAKER_01: Two weeks ago, we had a uh a colleague in studio with us and made the comment, I don't think she did it.
- 5:24SPEAKER_01: They all think it was the husband.
- 5:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah, this reared its head again in my house yesterday.
- 5:28SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 5:28SPEAKER_01: There's people in my close circle that believe it was the father that did it and not her.
- 5:33SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, well, then why isn't she screaming from the high mountains?
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: It wasn't me.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: Um, I think that he, well, this is uh this is a little TikTok conspiracy.
- 5:43SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 5:43SPEAKER_00: He convinced her.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: She didn't remember she was in so much shock because she'd thrown herself out the window.
- 5:48SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: Or did she?
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: Bom, bum, bum.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 5:52SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: The Menendez brothers have been granted an early parole suitability hearing tentatively scheduled for March of 2027.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: Eric and Lyle were sentenced to 50 years back in 2025 after originally receiving life without parole for killing their parents back in 1989.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: The brothers were denied parole due to prison conduct violations, which is also a little, I don't want to say a little surprising, but like you're so close.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: You you know you want to get out.
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: You know all of the attention is right here on you.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: Just act right.
- 6:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but yes.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: Anyway, uh, and federal investigators are examining why an Amazon cargo jet overran a runway at the Miami airport, killing five people on Sunday.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: The Boeing seven sixty seven arrived from San Juan, Puerto Rico, plowed into vehicles after leaving the runway around two PM.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: Three people were critically injured, too.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: Experts say investigators will focus on whether the plane touched down too far down the runway.
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: So that investigation's ongoing.
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: And there's the big three.
