- 0:25Speaker 4: Peg on Thursday, the Seattle Kraken returned home Saturday night
- 0:29Speaker 4: and got right.
- 0:30Speaker 3: Back to work against the Edmonton Oilers.
- 0:32Speaker 4: The captain Jordan Everley potted up air and Matti Vanair's
- 0:36Speaker 4: dished out a couple of assists for the Kraken, who
- 0:38Speaker 4: never trailed and grinded their way to a three to
- 0:42Speaker 4: two win over Edmonton. Tonight, Seattle continues its five game
- 0:46Speaker 4: homestamp against the Montreal Canadians, seeking to avenge a five
- 0:51Speaker 4: four overtime loss two weeks ago.
- 0:53Speaker 3: On the road and cool down.
- 0:55Speaker 4: One of the hottest teams in the NHL to begin
- 0:59Speaker 4: this season. Good Anything, Ladies and gentlemen welcome inside of
- 1:02Speaker 4: Climate Pledge Arena alongside Al Koniski. I am ever fits
- 1:06Speaker 4: you this is Seattle Kraging Hockey on the Global Credit.
- 1:09Speaker 3: Union Cracking Audio Network.
- 1:11Speaker 4: You are listening to the pregame show served up by
- 1:13Speaker 4: Frost Grew, Corpse Light.
- 1:14Speaker 3: Shoes, Chill Big Al.
- 1:16Speaker 4: It is Frozen Frenzy Night in the National Hockey League.
- 1:19Speaker 4: All thirty two.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Teams are in action.
- 1:22Speaker 4: This is the penultimate game of the Brosen Frenzy Kings
- 1:26Speaker 4: and the Sharks coming up at eleven o'clock eastern eight
- 1:30Speaker 4: o'clock Pacific time.
- 1:31Speaker 3: But for this one right here, Partner.
- 1:33Speaker 4: Cracking two in a row in the regulation win column
- 1:36Speaker 4: following their first two regulation losses of the season. Two
- 1:40Speaker 4: very different efforts, but the same result, a grinding three
- 1:44Speaker 4: to two win for Seattle Saturday.
- 1:46Speaker 5: Yeah, that's the way I looked at it is.
- 1:47Speaker 6: The game against Edmonton was a grinding win and there
- 1:49Speaker 6: were no spots in the game where there was a lull.
- 1:52Speaker 6: You had to be on every ship, You had to
- 1:54Speaker 6: grind for every inch of ice, and you could see
- 1:56Speaker 6: that very different than the game in Winnipeg, where it
- 1:58Speaker 6: was more just head to head, toe to toe battles
- 2:01Speaker 6: were there were close going both ways. There there was
- 2:04Speaker 6: ice given, ice taket.
- 2:05Speaker 5: But to that Edmonton game.
- 2:06Speaker 6: Was tight, and for the seventh time in this ninth
- 2:09Speaker 6: or nine game season, Seattle got.
- 2:10Speaker 5: On board first with a huge goal by Jordan Neverley.
- 2:13Speaker 4: And speaking of Jordan Everley ties to the team lead
- 2:15Speaker 4: and goals in points for the Seattle Crack and four
- 2:18Speaker 4: and four with eight total and listen for the Kraken,
- 2:21Speaker 4: they are the leading team in the NHL with at
- 2:24Speaker 4: least twenty one players finding their way on to the
- 2:27Speaker 4: score sheet. We knew coming into this year it was
- 2:30Speaker 4: going to be scoring by committee, and so far it's
- 2:32Speaker 4: been one heck of a committee.
- 2:33Speaker 6: Well what's interesting about that status? You might look at
- 2:36Speaker 6: the stat sheets to wait a second, John Hayden does
- 2:38Speaker 6: not have many points next to his name. Who is
- 2:41Speaker 6: that twenty first person? It's one Joey Decord who hasn't
- 2:44Speaker 6: just says next to his name. Now, it's great to
- 2:47Speaker 6: see that depth out there. You know, when you've got
- 2:50Speaker 6: scoring by committee, it makes it hard for opposing teams,
- 2:53Speaker 6: especially in your own building the match lines, because there
- 2:55Speaker 6: isn't just one line that gets it done.
- 2:56Speaker 5: And we saw that with the fourth line the internet.
- 2:58Speaker 4: Twenty one players at least one point nine players at
- 3:01Speaker 4: least four points.
- 3:02Speaker 3: You go back to the year the Kraken made the playoff.
- 3:05Speaker 4: Season, two thirteen players had career highs and goals, assists,
- 3:09Speaker 4: or points. So scoring by committee going to have to
- 3:12Speaker 4: be how the crack and get.
- 3:13Speaker 3: It done here this season.
- 3:14Speaker 4: On the other side of the red line, one of
- 3:16Speaker 4: the hottest teams of the NHL, the Montreal Canadians, coming
- 3:19Speaker 4: in the leaders of the Atlantic Division seven to three
- 3:24Speaker 4: through their first ten games. They are three two to
- 3:27Speaker 4: zero in their last five after a four to one
- 3:29Speaker 4: to oh start, So they're calming down, cooling down, I
- 3:32Speaker 4: should say a little bit. However, they are led by
- 3:35Speaker 4: a pretty good cores led by Cole Kawfield in Nick Uzuki.
- 3:38Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 3:39Speaker 5: Absolutely.
- 3:39Speaker 6: This group of youngsters has been tied up for eight
- 3:42Speaker 6: years with different contracts nine years, six years, Caulfield, Dobson, Suzuki,
- 3:47Speaker 6: Coolie Hudson, Swopkoski. These guys are gonna be around for
- 3:50Speaker 6: a while. Get used to seeing them play well and playoff.
- 3:53Speaker 4: That first contract of theirs not up until twenty thirty, so.
- 3:58Speaker 3: They are gonna be together for some time.

- 7:16Speaker 12: Back with the corse Light landing in section twenty with
- 7:18Speaker 12: the Kracking coming into five two and two twelve points.
- 7:22Speaker 12: This is homestand game number two of five and they
- 7:24Speaker 12: hold right now second place in the Pacific, one point
- 7:28Speaker 12: back of the Vegas Golden Knights, Montreal seven and three,
- 7:31Speaker 12: fourteen points onto a hot start, first in the Atlantic
- 7:34Speaker 12: and finishing their four game road trip. This evening Special
- 7:38Speaker 12: night also on tap here inside Climbate Pledgerina as part
- 7:41Speaker 12: of the Kraken Common Thread. It is Hispanic Heritage night
- 7:44Speaker 12: presented by Mendelo, including the One Roof Foundation auctioning, a
- 7:49Speaker 12: player sign themed jerseys, dressing room name plays, team and
- 7:52Speaker 12: players signed prints that proceeds for that benefiting Elcentra de
- 7:56Speaker 12: la Raza and it's all part of the One Roof
- 7:59Speaker 12: Foundation inning again. For more info, you can go to
- 8:01Speaker 12: One Roof Foundation dot org. This matchup it is a
- 8:05Speaker 12: rematch of the October fourteenth showdown when the Kraken lost
- 8:08Speaker 12: all so close in sudden depth overtime five to four.
- 8:12Speaker 12: Two goals by Cole kaw Field took Montreal to two points.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Sat evening and McCraken this evening, by the way, going
- 8:19Speaker 1: to be ending a.
- 8:19Speaker 12: Pretty tough stretcher to begin this schedule, but also a
- 8:22Speaker 12: part of the best start in franchise history. The first
- 8:25Speaker 12: seven of eleven games the Kraken faced opponents from the
- 8:29Speaker 12: Eastern Conference. That of course ends this Saturday against the Rangers,
- 8:32Speaker 12: but the first eight of ten games that came against
- 8:35Speaker 12: teams who made the playoffs, and that ends here for
- 8:37Speaker 12: this evening. The Krakens so far taking twelve of a
- 8:41Speaker 12: possible eighteen points in that span. They're trying to improve
- 8:44Speaker 12: in a five three to one all time record and
- 8:47Speaker 12: split the head to head series with Montreal, and also
- 8:50Speaker 12: improved to a four and oh start to begin this
- 8:53Speaker 12: regular season schedule at home, all as part of a
- 8:55Speaker 12: matchup here that brings on some history. It goes back
- 8:59Speaker 12: to nineteen seven team with Seattle beating Montreal, of course,
- 9:02Speaker 12: to become the first US team to win the Stanley Cup.
- 9:06Speaker 12: As part of the Kraken, right now, they're trending north,
- 9:09Speaker 12: and of course this being homestand game number two of five,
- 9:12Speaker 12: they'll have the Rangers, Chicago and San Jose after this,
- 9:15Speaker 12: where so far they have allowed US four goals on
- 9:17Speaker 12: home ice, lowest in the NHL kracking up period. They're
- 9:22Speaker 12: going to go with the same line up here again
- 9:23Speaker 12: for this evening, and our storylines first up begin with a.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Defensive impact in a tight game.
- 9:28Speaker 12: They've allowed us two point seven goals a game that's
- 9:30Speaker 12: tied for tenth in the league. Rush chances, by the way,
- 9:33Speaker 12: at five on five have allowed us four all year period. However,
- 9:38Speaker 12: shot attempts at five on five fourth lowest in the league.
- 9:41Speaker 12: So can the krack and spend more time out of
- 9:44Speaker 12: their own zone? That's a big question in those numbers,
- 9:46Speaker 12: by the way. Courtesy naturalstat Trick dot com. Second storyline
- 9:50Speaker 12: Jordan Everley as goals in back to back games. He
- 9:54Speaker 12: scored two against Edmonton in the last Krack and win
- 9:56Speaker 12: over the Oilers this last Saturday, which was pretty much
- 9:58Speaker 12: a statement making game. He's now tied with Jaden Schwartz
- 10:01Speaker 12: with the team lead with eight points, and he'll play
- 10:04Speaker 12: on right wing with Matty Beniers and Bertlee Catton. And
- 10:08Speaker 12: our third story line is Everley's line may in Benier's
- 10:11Speaker 12: and the matchup here for this evening may be TBD
- 10:14Speaker 12: for him defensively, but he was fantastic against Edmonton and
- 10:18Speaker 12: handling Connor McDavid Vaneer's helping keep that line or McDavid
- 10:21Speaker 12: in particular scoreless. McDavid was zero points, minus one and
- 10:26Speaker 12: two of twelve as well in the faceoff circle, and
- 10:29Speaker 12: through nine games so far, Veneers was six points, that
- 10:32Speaker 12: marking the second best start of his career offensively and
- 10:36Speaker 12: the closest to that seven points first nine games win.
- 10:39Speaker 12: He won the Calder Trophy back in twenty twenty two
- 10:41Speaker 12: to twenty three, so Veneer's his impact this evening could
- 10:44Speaker 12: play a major role here for the Kracking fortunes. Let's
- 10:47Speaker 12: hear more from McCracken and a light week they have
- 10:50Speaker 12: right now coming off of previously six games and a
- 10:52Speaker 12: ten day road trip. But right now it's only just
- 10:55Speaker 12: one game in a span of six days, and Ryan
- 10:58Speaker 12: Lindgren said, it's a great chance here to catch up
- 11:01Speaker 12: with some practice time.
- 11:02Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly.
- 11:03Speaker 13: That just you know, go out there and you know,
- 11:06Speaker 13: make sure that our habits aren't slipping, and yeah, it's
- 11:08Speaker 13: always nice to have some practice time and look at
- 11:10Speaker 13: some video and you know, see what we can prove on.
- 11:14Speaker 12: So how beneficial can it be where the krack and
- 11:16Speaker 12: are winning one goal games right now and playing in
- 11:19Speaker 12: those kind of close games like for instance last Saturday
- 11:21Speaker 12: when they beat Edmonton three to two. Well, Lynn Grin said,
- 11:24Speaker 12: it's right now about mastering the arts of those kind
- 11:27Speaker 12: of games. After the winning in Edmonton.
- 11:29Speaker 13: You know, obviously on that on that trip we had
- 11:31Speaker 13: a couple of games that we were uplaid and they're
- 11:33Speaker 13: able to you know, come back and win the game.
- 11:37Speaker 13: So yeah, it was good to see last game that
- 11:38Speaker 13: we were you know, uplaid and able to hold on
- 11:41Speaker 13: to that and and get the win. And you know
- 11:44Speaker 13: those extra points are crucial and you know, especially EUR
- 11:47Speaker 13: only season, so yeah, it's good to see.
- 11:49Speaker 12: And by the way, in one goal games this season
- 11:51Speaker 12: so far, the Crack and holding a record of three
- 11:54Speaker 12: to zero and two injury updates side right now Coppo Cocko,
- 11:58Speaker 12: Riker Evans, Freddy Goodrojarah McCann all on IR and then
- 12:02Speaker 12: Gold's going to be Joey Tocord this evening with a
- 12:04Speaker 12: record of five one and one, nine to one, five
- 12:07Speaker 12: say percentage Bilil Grubauer serving as his back up when
- 12:11Speaker 12: we come back. We'll take a look at Montreal after this.
- 12:13Speaker 12: And you're listening to the Global Credit Union crack an

- 14:36Speaker 12: The pregame show is served up by Frostproud Corps Line
- 14:39Speaker 12: Jews Chill.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Let's take a.
- 14:40Speaker 12: Look now at Montreal where again from last season, you
- 14:43Speaker 12: can tell they have a team that is right now
- 14:45Speaker 12: on the rise and a lot of young players on
- 14:47Speaker 12: their roster growing up pretty fast. Right now, they are
- 14:51Speaker 12: the youngest team in the NHL average age of twenty
- 14:54Speaker 12: five point seven years. Last year got the final wildcard
- 14:57Speaker 12: spot under head coach Martin San Lu which broke a
- 15:01Speaker 12: three year playoff drought. And about this year, it's about
- 15:04Speaker 12: taking that culture and setting it in place. Off to
- 15:07Speaker 12: a hot start right now seven and three and that's
- 15:09Speaker 12: tops in the Atlantic Division, and all this with no
- 15:12Speaker 12: Caiden Gooley or Patrick Lane as well. Their offense eight
- 15:16Speaker 12: best in the NHL, three point six goals a game.
- 15:18Speaker 12: Nick Suzuki, Cole Kafield, a couple names that Everett now
- 15:21Speaker 12: mentioned earlier. Sazuki right now top ten in point production.
- 15:25Speaker 12: He's got thirteen points in ten games and Coffield right
- 15:28Speaker 12: behind him ten points in nine games. He's tight for
- 15:31Speaker 12: fourth in the NHL, by the way, with seven goals.
- 15:34Speaker 12: About that young core, it includes Jerislavkovski, Ivan demadob Oliver Kapaden,
- 15:39Speaker 12: who's got some offense in a good two way play,
- 15:42Speaker 12: and a young defenseman who's maybe coming of age right
- 15:44Speaker 12: now in Lane Hudson the last year won the Calder
- 15:46Speaker 12: Trophy in Net. No stranger here to this core as
- 15:49Speaker 12: far as their potential, that's Yakup Dobsh starting this evening
- 15:53Speaker 12: tyer second right now in the NHL with a nine
- 15:55Speaker 12: to four to zero save percentage. Montreal coming off a
- 15:59Speaker 12: four to three win Vancouver and they're in for a
- 16:02Speaker 12: three to one road trip where on this trip they
- 16:05Speaker 12: have scored eleven goals combined, and the Kraken trying to
- 16:08Speaker 12: stop them in their tracks. Your storylines here from Montreal.
- 16:11Speaker 12: First off again with Nick Suzuki, who was on a
- 16:14Speaker 12: tear riding a nine game point streak. He's got thirteen
- 16:18Speaker 12: points in that spin and against the Kraken, owning nine
- 16:21Speaker 12: points in nine games. He's been tough to handle and
- 16:24Speaker 12: he's our top line center with Cole Koffield and your
- 16:27Speaker 12: Isslavkovsky on the wings second story line that special teams
- 16:31Speaker 12: and Montreal recently a little bit hot and cold on
- 16:35Speaker 12: the power play and penalty kills spectrum. Their power play
- 16:37Speaker 12: on the road ninth right now in the NHL has
- 16:40Speaker 12: six for twenty two, but the penalty kill they've allowed
- 16:43Speaker 12: three goals last eight chances, and also before they had
- 16:46Speaker 12: to go five for five against Calgary that was six
- 16:49Speaker 12: days ago, and the Kraken last time out back of
- 16:52Speaker 12: Bell's Center. There are one for four in the power
- 16:54Speaker 12: play and a perfect two for two on the penalty kill.
- 16:57Speaker 12: Let's are more from Montreal and head coach Marty san
- 17:00Speaker 12: Luis summed up is culture right here with about how
- 17:03Speaker 12: much it helps getting young kids getting settled in.
- 17:06Speaker 15: I think we've been, you know, defining that, not necessarily
- 17:11Speaker 15: reinventing anything, but we spend a lot of time talking
- 17:14Speaker 15: about our culture, and you know, you can tell when
- 17:18Speaker 15: a young guy comes in that this transition is is
- 17:23Speaker 15: maybe easier, not that it's not hard, but I feel
- 17:28Speaker 15: it's easier because of the culture we have here with
- 17:31Speaker 15: the group, they just kind of fall right in and
- 17:33Speaker 15: I feel the continuity we've had, how we've built our
- 17:37Speaker 15: collective game. There's a lot of players that can help
- 17:40Speaker 15: the young guys and just coaching. You know, the coaching
- 17:43Speaker 15: just doesn't come from the coach all the time. You
- 17:45Speaker 15: know they're able to help them out. Hey, this is
- 17:47Speaker 15: how we do this, This is how we do that,
- 17:48Speaker 15: and I think our continuity has allowed us to be
- 17:52Speaker 15: in that position. But it all starts with culture and anything.
- 17:55Speaker 12: So one of the crack I need to get a
- 17:57Speaker 12: split in this series ever, and now talk about that
- 18:00Speaker 12: next with R three keys. You're listening to the Global

- 20:15Speaker 3: Tonight partner all thirty two teams in.
- 20:18Speaker 4: Action cracking the second to last games on this jam
- 20:21Speaker 4: pack day around the National three two winners. On Saturday,
- 20:26Speaker 4: we're Seattle against Edmondton, trying to avenge a five to
- 20:29Speaker 4: four overtime loss.
- 20:30Speaker 3: Two weeks ago.
- 20:31Speaker 4: Tonight to the Canadians, how can they get it done?
- 20:34Speaker 3: Well?
- 20:34Speaker 6: First of all, they're gonna have to jump on them early.
- 20:36Speaker 6: The halves have been slow starters lately. You gotta hit
- 20:39Speaker 6: them early and hit them often. A fast cracking start
- 20:42Speaker 6: start puts Montreal on their heels and gets climate pitched,
- 20:45Speaker 6: rocking right from the puck drop.
- 20:47Speaker 5: Secondly, own the corners.
- 20:49Speaker 6: Montreal's smaller forwards don't love the grind win Those board
- 20:52Speaker 6: battles cycle hard and wear down their d with pressured shifts.
- 20:56Speaker 6: The more time spending their zone, the less you spend
- 20:58Speaker 6: chiefing Suzuki and golf. And then third, keep feeding the
- 21:02Speaker 6: death Seattle's biggest weapon is balanced. If the fourth line's
- 21:06Speaker 6: buzzing and the blue lines jumping in, the habs won't
- 21:09Speaker 6: know where the next wave's coming from. Every shift should
- 21:12Speaker 6: feel like deja vu in a bad way for Montreal.
- 21:14Speaker 5: Like that dejavi ah.
- 21:17Speaker 6: It's short, start fast, grind hard, and let the full
- 21:20Speaker 6: cracking buffet loose. When everyone's eating, Montreal be starving for answers.
- 21:24Speaker 6: If they can do that, Montreal is going to be
- 21:26Speaker 6: saying mess see while the crack and sail off with
- 21:29Speaker 6: two more points and match their franchise record for longest
- 21:32Speaker 6: home winning streak.
- 21:33Speaker 5: It's becuys they're French. Yeah, I get it, missy.
- 21:36Speaker 4: Yeah, I want to dive into that because I felt that.
- 21:39Speaker 3: Second key was so crucial. We saw it with the
- 21:42Speaker 3: Edmonton Oilers. We saw it with the Winnipeg Jets.
- 21:45Speaker 4: For Seattle the grinding down of their skill players. Obviously,
- 21:49Speaker 4: for the Oilers, Nujan Hopkins, Leon Drysidel got points. McDavid
- 21:53Speaker 4: was held without a shot attempt in that game, let
- 21:56Speaker 4: alone a points.
- 21:57Speaker 3: Off the score seat no shot attempts.
- 21:59Speaker 4: Talk to lay Lamber this morning about the game in Montreal,
- 22:01Speaker 4: he said that there were a few too many opportunities
- 22:04Speaker 4: for their skilled players. This is gonna have to be
- 22:06Speaker 4: one of those games where you lean on the lean
- 22:09Speaker 4: on Montreal for a period period and a half. They
- 22:12Speaker 4: might get frustrated early in this game and allow you
- 22:15Speaker 4: a chance in.
- 22:16Speaker 6: I mean, maybe Vince Dunn could put another stiff arm
- 22:18Speaker 6: into Kolkaffielder sticks Azuki read at the start of the game.
- 22:20Speaker 6: But that certainly sends a tone early on. But the
- 22:23Speaker 6: way you grind with teams is you don't give them
- 22:25Speaker 6: odd man rushes, especially early in the game. You're clogging
- 22:29Speaker 6: up the neutral zone. You're making it hard for them
- 22:31Speaker 6: to enter the ozone and when they do, they got
- 22:33Speaker 6: to go through physical pressure to get there.
- 22:34Speaker 5: That's how you grind down a team.
- 22:36Speaker 4: As Mike Benton pointed out, only four odd man rushes
- 22:39Speaker 4: against all year against Seattle none in that Edmondson Whaler
- 22:43Speaker 4: game five on five. We talked a lot in the
- 22:45Speaker 4: last few games about to play the fourth line, but
- 22:47Speaker 4: it's been Jaydons Schwartz. It's been Jordan Eberley leading the
- 22:50Speaker 4: offense for the cracking as well. When you have guys
- 22:53Speaker 4: on the Montreal Canadiens Demidov, Kawfield, Zzuki, who can find
- 22:57Speaker 4: the back of the net.
- 22:58Speaker 3: How much are you gonna be leaning on?
- 23:00Speaker 4: You know, we talked about the physicality aspect of it,
- 23:02Speaker 4: but you need offense. Who needs to step up tonight
- 23:05Speaker 4: for the krack and to pot the puck?
- 23:07Speaker 6: Well, I'm looking for one. Ellie Tolvenan, Yeah, get on
- 23:09Speaker 6: the board here tonight. And that's not a hit against
- 23:11Speaker 6: Elle Tovenu. We've seen him score many goals. I know
- 23:14Speaker 6: he's probably thinking in the back of the head, I
- 23:16Speaker 6: gotta get on the board. And sometimes you squeeze a
- 23:18Speaker 6: stick a little too much when you're there, and sometimes
- 23:20Speaker 6: you just need to relax a little a little bit.
- 23:22Speaker 6: But I'd like to see him get on the board tonight.
- 23:23Speaker 6: You know who's always relaxed, you know who's always on
- 23:25Speaker 6: the board. You know who we always lean.

- 25:54Speaker 12: back at Climbing Pledge Arena. They take on Montreal in
- 25:56Speaker 12: about twelve minutes, and right now, here's head coach Lane
- 25:59Speaker 12: lamberst buying with ever fits you.
- 26:02Speaker 4: Hey, thanks Mike. We're back with cracking head coach Lane
- 26:04Speaker 4: Lambert Lane. Back on home ice on Saturday, after a
- 26:08Speaker 4: very very long road trip, pick up the big win
- 26:11Speaker 4: three to two over the Edmonton Oilers.
- 26:13Speaker 3: Take us back through that effort.
- 26:14Speaker 4: A really grinding, hard effort for the Kraken that resulted
- 26:18Speaker 4: in two points.
- 26:20Speaker 18: Yeah, I thought, uh, you know, I thought we I
- 26:23Speaker 18: thought we played pretty well at times. You know, I
- 26:28Speaker 18: was happy with our team in terms of our readiness.
- 26:33Speaker 18: There's always the question mark coming off of the long
- 26:36Speaker 18: road trip. What you know, what does the first game
- 26:38Speaker 18: look like? Back to me, that's just an excuse. I
- 26:43Speaker 18: thought our guys did a really good job of getting
- 26:46Speaker 18: rid of that excuse. Uh And you know, I mean,
- 26:49Speaker 18: as the game went along, they're they're obviously a talented
- 26:52Speaker 18: team Edmonton. I felt like we gave up a few
- 26:56Speaker 18: too many chances for my liking. But at the same time,
- 27:01Speaker 18: you know, we knew we would probably need a pretty
- 27:03Speaker 18: good game from our goaltender, and we got one, and
- 27:06Speaker 18: we had a lot of commitment in certain areas and
- 27:09Speaker 18: I thought, you know, when they had their push on,
- 27:11Speaker 18: I thought we defended well. There was you know, a
- 27:15Speaker 18: couple of pockets in the third period where we spent
- 27:18Speaker 18: a decent amount of time in our zone, but they
- 27:22Speaker 18: were they were to the outside. And there's going to
- 27:26Speaker 18: be moments like that with every team during the season
- 27:30Speaker 18: where you're maybe hemmed in or under siege in your zone,
- 27:34Speaker 18: and the question is how do you handle that? And
- 27:38Speaker 18: you know, what kind of chances would you give up?
- 27:40Speaker 18: So I thought we did a pretty good job of that,
- 27:42Speaker 18: and really at the end of the day, we really
- 27:46Speaker 18: capitalized on our opportunities, you know. So it was it
- 27:50Speaker 18: was a hard fought game, hard fought win.
- 27:52Speaker 4: Speaking of playing in your defensive zone, you were asked
- 27:54Speaker 4: this morning about the number of chances giving up on
- 27:58Speaker 4: the outside, limiting the opportunities in the slot in the house.
- 28:02Speaker 4: Are you I don't want to say okay, but I'm
- 28:04Speaker 4: going to say okay.
- 28:05Speaker 3: Are you okay with.
- 28:06Speaker 4: You know, as long as you're on the outside, those
- 28:09Speaker 4: long range shots, if we spend a few extra minutes
- 28:12Speaker 4: in our d zone as long as we're keeping them
- 28:14Speaker 4: of the outside or is that an area that you
- 28:15Speaker 4: want to clean up and push them more out of
- 28:18Speaker 4: your zone?
- 28:18Speaker 18: Well, I'd love to I'd love to push us more
- 28:21Speaker 18: out of our zone obviously, you know. So that's you know,
- 28:24Speaker 18: that's a focus for us, and and you know, certainly
- 28:27Speaker 18: an area that we need to get better in. But uh,
- 28:31Speaker 18: you know, conversely, when we are in there, our guys
- 28:34Speaker 18: are doing a good job of limiting I guess what
- 28:37Speaker 18: I would call high danger opportunities.
- 28:40Speaker 1: That's that's Lane Lambert. Your lineups are next.
