- 0:00Speaker 1: From Houston and across the great state of Texas, this
- 0:05Speaker 1: is KSEV Mornings with Craig Collins.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Anything at all no it's crazy welcome to the thunderdome.
- 0:14Speaker 1: People news opinions politics and the stories that matter to texans.
- 0:20Speaker 3: I shaved for this.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Here are your hosts craig collins and wayne dolcefino remember.
- 0:26Speaker 3: Everyone just don't be yourselves.
- 0:28Speaker 1: On ksev am 700 the voice of texas yes that's awesome.
- 0:39Speaker 3: And now, Craig Collins and Wayne Dolcefino.
- 0:46Speaker 4: KSEV, the voice of Texas. Thank you, Dana Lash, for
- 0:51Speaker 4: that introduction. She has a national show that's on from
- 0:54Speaker 4: 2 to 4 o'clock here today, every day, Monday through Friday.
- 0:57Speaker 5: And she's on the weekend, too. Right, Russell? She does
- 1:00Speaker 5: a weekend show.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Okay, yeah.
- 1:01Speaker 5: There's a best of from her.
- 1:03Speaker 4: And then also, Vince Colonese will be on the show
- 1:06Speaker 4: in about 10 minutes.
- 1:07Speaker 6: Vinny!
- 1:07Speaker 5: My cousin Vinny. does the show every single week to
- 1:10Speaker 5: promote his national show, which is from 12 to.
- 1:12Speaker 4: 1 every day here on The Voice of Texas. You
- 1:16Speaker 4: were asking me off the air about some of the
- 1:18Speaker 4: better clips from the two days, Wayne.
- 1:21Speaker 5: And honestly, yesterday, J.D.
- 1:24Speaker 4: Vance probably had the best mic drop kind of moment
- 1:28Speaker 4: of the entire thing because he did throw some people
- 1:31Speaker 4: out who were yelling and screaming stupid stuff. So we
- 1:34Speaker 4: can play that one first if you want, and then
- 1:36Speaker 4: we can go, okay, from there.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Somebody was waving like a Mexican flag. Yes.
- 1:41Speaker 4: Yeah, there was someone waving a Mexican flag, and then
- 1:43Speaker 4: he said something about my friends in Mexico.
- 1:46Speaker 5: Here we go. I love all the chanting and cheering.
- 1:59Speaker 3: USA!
- 1:59Speaker 6: USA!
- 2:02Speaker 7: USA!
- 2:05Speaker 5: I guess I probably should have taken some of this out.
- 2:06Speaker 5: Vance is about to speak.
- 2:07Speaker 3: I like these stories.
- 2:12Speaker 5: So what the people at home.
- 2:15Speaker 8: Missed is that we just had a protester interrupting us
- 2:19Speaker 8: and waving the Mexican flag.
- 2:21Speaker 9: Well, my friend, if you.
- 2:27Speaker 5: Love Mexico so much, get your ass over there.
- 2:30Speaker 9: I'll buy you the plane ticket.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Boom! Yeah, that was a boon.
- 2:35Speaker 5: That's a pretty good line, to say the least.
- 2:38Speaker 4: And then a bunch of cheering and applause there. And honestly,
- 2:42Speaker 4: that's true about any place. Any place that you think
- 2:44Speaker 4: is better than here, if you think it's so great,
- 2:46Speaker 4: go live there, right?
- 2:47Speaker 3: Have a good time. Right. Send me a postcard.
- 2:50Speaker 5: We won't miss you at all.
- 2:51Speaker 9: All right.
- 2:52Speaker 4: That was probably the best moment of the second night.
- 2:56Speaker 4: President Trump did speak again, too. We both said it
- 2:59Speaker 4: kind of sounded similar.
- 3:00Speaker 5: To the first one, which did have jokes in it. Like,
- 3:03Speaker 5: there were funny moments.
- 3:04Speaker 4: And we haven't talked about this, you and I, the
- 3:07Speaker 4: offer of $ 5, 000 if Republicans win the House and the Senate.
- 3:11Speaker 5: I love that.
- 3:12Speaker 4: I was talking about it yesterday when you were on
- 3:14Speaker 4: special assignment, that it, to me, is the best move
- 3:18Speaker 4: you could make because Democrats are doing it. We have
- 3:21Speaker 4: a Democrat here in Texas that's offering to pay people
- 3:24Speaker 4: money if she wins election.
- 3:27Speaker 5: She's running against Greg Abbott. And I mystified sometimes.
- 3:32Speaker 4: About how they don't apologize for literally trying to beg
- 3:36Speaker 4: people and buy their votes. And Trump went and did it,
- 3:38Speaker 4: and it was amazing because it's fighting fire with fire.
- 3:41Speaker 5: I don't know what you thought to that.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Look, I think part of the problem here are facts, right?
- 3:47Speaker 3: The reality is we're like, what, $ 40 trillion in debt?
- 3:51Speaker 10: We are.
- 3:51Speaker 3: And if we have an extra million and a half bucks,
- 3:55Speaker 3: a billion and a half, what is it, trillion? $ 1. 5
- 3:58Speaker 3: trillion is what it would cost to do this. Why
- 4:00Speaker 3: don't we just, like, say we're going to pay down
- 4:02Speaker 3: the debt? Sure. We're going to lower the clock. Sure.
- 4:06Speaker 5: If you want to go that road and talk about, like,
- 4:08Speaker 5: logical things, go ahead.
- 4:09Speaker 3: But knowing how people love free things.
- 4:13Speaker 11: And money.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Yeah. And money.
- 4:15Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 4:17Speaker 3: That it could work. But if you're going to do it,
- 4:20Speaker 3: you better keep saying you're going to do it. Right.
- 4:23Speaker 3: And actually do it. Because I remember I'm old enough.
- 4:27Speaker 3: to remember the Doge stuff just last year when we
- 4:31Speaker 3: were all supposed to get money out of that.
- 4:32Speaker 5: The tariff dividend before when it was offered, yes.
- 4:35Speaker 3: And we didn't, and there could be all kinds of
- 4:37Speaker 3: explanations for that, but I think it begins to not
- 4:41Speaker 3: work if you don't actually do it, right?
- 4:45Speaker 5: Okay, that might also be true. Wayne coming in with
- 4:48Speaker 5: the logic. I'm sorry. No, it's fine.
- 4:50Speaker 4: You did also ask me about Brandon Gill, and Brandon
- 4:53Speaker 4: Gill spoke on the first night. He will be at
- 4:55Speaker 4: the Texas Faith Fest. that you and I are now
- 4:57Speaker 4: going to. We'll be broadcasting from there. The tail end
- 5:01Speaker 4: of this month, I think it's September 25th or 26th.
- 5:04Speaker 5: In Austin. In Austin.
- 5:07Speaker 4: And Brandon Gill is the keynote speaker. The guy who
- 5:10Speaker 4: organized it, who we talked to the other day, said
- 5:12Speaker 4: that they booked him like three months ago. His star
- 5:15Speaker 4: was on the rise, but might not be what it
- 5:17Speaker 4: is now.
- 5:18Speaker 5: It's exploding.
- 5:19Speaker 4: Yeah, you even said to me off the air that
- 5:21Speaker 4: you think he could be a presidential candidate in the future.
- 5:25Speaker 3: And I'm not even talking about distant future. I actually,
- 5:28Speaker 3: you know, some people capture the magic, right, of the country.
- 5:33Speaker 3: You know, I don't know how many people are so
- 5:36Speaker 3: bored at night that all they do is scroll through reels,
- 5:39Speaker 3: but him and John Kennedy of Louisiana, Kennedy's the funniest guy,
- 5:44Speaker 3: I think, in the world. He is funny, yes. But
- 5:48Speaker 3: if you listen to Brandon Gill and the way he
- 5:50Speaker 3: questions witnesses and the sort of stark, but accurate. What
- 5:58Speaker 3: everybody's thinking kind of questions, right? He's really great at it.
- 6:03Speaker 3: And he is a believer and he's got the perfect picture,
- 6:08Speaker 3: perfect family. If you see online, I just think he's
- 6:13Speaker 3: one of those guys, even at a very young age,
- 6:15Speaker 3: and maybe he's too young. Cause I asked you, could
- 6:18Speaker 3: he run for president this time? I think he's one
- 6:21Speaker 3: of those kinds of figures. He's, Reminds me in some
- 6:24Speaker 3: ways of Charlie Kirk. Yeah. Right. That same sort of,
- 6:28Speaker 3: you know, when you actually believe something that you're spewing,
- 6:32Speaker 3: it it sounds like you believe it.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:36Speaker 5: He would have to he would have to be 35
- 6:39Speaker 5: at the time of I think at the time of
- 6:41Speaker 5: the election.
- 6:41Speaker 4: He was born in February of 94. He's 32 right now.
- 6:45Speaker 4: So it's close.
- 6:46Speaker 5: But yeah, right. But next time, I assume that at
- 6:49Speaker 5: some point he will at least.
- 6:51Speaker 4: Advance more um sure run for senate run for all
- 6:54Speaker 4: kinds of things and then maybe uh run for president
- 6:56Speaker 4: i my favorite moment from brandon gill's speech at the
- 6:59Speaker 4: national convention a couple days ago was the beginning when
- 7:03Speaker 4: he did a land acknowledgement very much tongue in cheek
- 7:06Speaker 4: very much trying to take a shot at the left
- 7:08Speaker 4: and very as you said effectively uh doing that we
- 7:11Speaker 4: can go ahead and play that audio it's.
- 7:13Speaker 8: An honor to be here at the republican national convention
- 7:18Speaker 8: in the great state of texas Now, I think it's
- 7:28Speaker 8: only appropriate that we kick this convention off properly with
- 7:34Speaker 8: a land acknowledgement.
- 7:35Speaker 3: Yep.
- 7:42Speaker 8: I'd like to acknowledge that we stand here today in
- 7:47Speaker 8: the great state of Texas and the United States of
- 7:50Speaker 8: America The ancestral homeland of great American patriots, pioneers, and
- 7:59Speaker 8: explorers who put down roots, fought for freedom all over
- 8:03Speaker 8: the globe, and bled and died to build the greatest
- 8:07Speaker 8: civilization ever known to man.
- 8:10Speaker 5: Amen.
- 8:17Speaker 8: My friends, we live in the finest country in the
- 8:20Speaker 8: history of the world.
- 8:21Speaker 12: We do.
- 8:21Speaker 4: Honestly, he's fantastic in a lot of what he does, Wayne.
- 8:24Speaker 4: And I think, yeah, he's the kind of guy that.
- 8:27Speaker 3: He's a player.
- 8:27Speaker 4: Yeah, he's the kind of guy that I think moving forward,
- 8:30Speaker 4: you're much, much more likely to see him on larger
- 8:33Speaker 4: and larger national stages. He did also crap on the
- 8:36Speaker 4: Democrats in Tallarico, which I think was pretty interesting.
- 8:39Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, that's breaking news on Tallarico, right? There are
- 8:43Speaker 3: no longer six... Yeah.
- 8:45Speaker 5: OK, yeah, we can play.
- 8:46Speaker 4: Let's play that first. I'll play Brandon Gill's comments about Tallarico.
- 8:50Speaker 4: But this was from a couple of days ago to
- 8:52Speaker 4: Tallarico did a sit down interview with Fox News. And
- 8:55Speaker 4: in it, he was asked several questions to some of
- 8:58Speaker 4: the most ridiculous things he said.
- 9:00Speaker 5: And you could tell this is what I said about
- 9:02Speaker 5: it yesterday, Wayne.
- 9:03Speaker 4: You could tell that he was Tallarico looking for the
- 9:06Speaker 4: soundbite to argue with himself.
- 9:08Speaker 5: Like these answers he gave. I don't believe them. And
- 9:11Speaker 5: part of me wants to.
- 9:13Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 9:13Speaker 9: OK.
- 9:13Speaker 5: Part of me wants to.
- 9:14Speaker 4: To not play as many of them as are out
- 9:17Speaker 4: there right now because every single one is designed to be, well,
- 9:20Speaker 4: I was being provocative before, I don't believe that now,
- 9:23Speaker 4: so that these can go viral and convince people on
- 9:25Speaker 4: the wrong side that he's not the insane person he is.
- 9:29Speaker 4: But we'll judge at least one of them based on
- 9:32Speaker 4: what you think the credibility is.
- 9:33Speaker 5: Here's when he was asked about the six-gender stuff.
- 9:36Speaker 4: In the 2021 hearing, you said there are six biological sexes.
- 9:41Speaker 5: Do you still believe that standing here with me right now?
- 9:43Speaker 3: No.
- 9:44Speaker 13: I've missed the mark on some of my past statements.
- 9:46Speaker 13: I will be the first to admit it. What I
- 9:49Speaker 13: meant is that there are two sexes and then there's
- 9:51Speaker 13: a small percentage of people with genetic abnormalities. I obviously
- 9:55Speaker 13: didn't say it correctly. There are not six sexes.
- 9:57Speaker 1: There are two.
- 9:57Speaker 12: What?
- 9:57Speaker 3: Did he just insult? the trans people?
- 10:01Speaker 5: Yeah, I think he might have. I think he might
- 10:03Speaker 5: have just insulted the trans people.
- 10:04Speaker 3: What do you mean, he might have?
- 10:04Speaker 5: Yeah, he definitely did.
- 10:05Speaker 3: He said they have genetic abnormalities. That's like, can you
- 10:09Speaker 3: imagine if you or I said, all the trans people
- 10:12Speaker 3: are just sick and screwed up? Right. Chromosome. Well.
- 10:18Speaker 5: Here's the thing.
- 10:19Speaker 4: I don't want to explain his thought, even though I
- 10:21Speaker 4: think I kind of can. There are people, it's 0, 0, 0.1%
- 10:26Speaker 4: of people who are born with both body parts.
- 10:28Speaker 5: You know what I mean? That does happen. It is
- 10:31Speaker 5: an absolute rarity.
- 10:33Speaker 3: It's a genetic abnormality.
- 10:34Speaker 5: It's a genetic abnormality.
- 10:35Speaker 4: And for him to pretend there are four of them
- 10:38Speaker 4: instead of just one of them and that that's what
- 10:40Speaker 4: he meant when he said there are six genders is
- 10:42Speaker 4: beyond idiotic.
- 10:44Speaker 5: It's beyond stupid to take it.
- 10:46Speaker 3: And you know, the question I've asked, and maybe one
- 10:48Speaker 3: of our listeners knows the answer, is I've never heard
- 10:51Speaker 3: what the other four was. And I don't ask for
- 10:55Speaker 3: that information just to be a jerk. I'm just really curious.
- 11:01Speaker 3: How do you get the six? Could it be five?
- 11:05Speaker 3: But again, I go back to what I think is
- 11:08Speaker 3: a real insult to the trans community, which I personally
- 11:13Speaker 3: don't care about either way. But He's basically saying they're freaks. Right.
- 11:20Speaker 3: Genetic abnormality. You're a freak.
- 11:23Speaker 5: Well, what's what's fair. Oh, sorry. Go ahead.
- 11:26Speaker 3: No, I was going to say, I don't know why
- 11:28Speaker 3: there's not like outrage on the left over that comment.
- 11:32Speaker 4: What's fair about that is that when he said it
- 11:35Speaker 4: the first time, he was absolutely trying to placate all
- 11:38Speaker 4: the people that fall into the transgender categories or whatever
- 11:40Speaker 4: the hell the categories are that they.
- 11:42Speaker 5: Think are genders. I mean, I Googled it. I can
- 11:45Speaker 5: tell you the answer.
- 11:46Speaker 3: Okay.
- 11:47Speaker 5: I feel like I did this last time. Here's what
- 11:49Speaker 5: I Googled. What are the other four genders beyond male
- 11:52Speaker 5: and female?
- 11:53Speaker 4: And according to the Internet, non-binary, agender, bigender, and genderfluid
- 11:59Speaker 4: are the other four.
- 12:00Speaker 5: And I have definitions if you want them for those things.
- 12:03Speaker 3: I am genderfluid, but only for women. Only for women.
- 12:08Speaker 3: I'm very fluid about women. But that's where my fluidity stops.
- 12:13Speaker 3: I just like the women.
- 12:15Speaker 5: I'd rather not talk about your fluids anymore on the show.
- 12:17Speaker 3: I'm just being honest. I'm just trying to.
- 12:20Speaker 5: I am also a straight guy. I also like ladies.
- 12:25Speaker 3: But when I say I'm fluid, I've always been flexible.
- 12:30Speaker 3: I liked all kinds of women when I was single.
- 12:34Speaker 3: And they didn't fit a mold. I didn't have like a...
- 12:37Speaker 3: particular type i was intrigued by women of all you
- 12:41Speaker 3: know all gender fluidity right.
- 12:44Speaker 5: That's not that's not what the trans people think that means.
- 12:48Speaker 3: Is what that's not gender fluid.
- 12:50Speaker 4: No that's not what they think it means um the
- 12:53Speaker 4: gender fluid to them is the ability to go back
- 12:56Speaker 4: and forth in your gender to decide like at one
- 12:58Speaker 4: time you're a dude and then you're a chick and
- 13:00Speaker 4: then you're a dude again that's gender fluid to them
- 13:03Speaker 4: all right.
- 13:04Speaker 3: I dressed up as a woman once at one of
- 13:05Speaker 3: my wife's parties Um, I get it because I want
- 13:10Speaker 3: the picture out there. If I ever run for office again,
- 13:12Speaker 3: I want to, I want, I want to be taken
- 13:15Speaker 3: down by the picture of me dressed as a woman
- 13:17Speaker 3: since people are offended by things that are just meant
- 13:20Speaker 3: to be funny.
- 13:21Speaker 5: And that was in public.
- 13:23Speaker 3: It was at her party. She has, she used to
- 13:25Speaker 3: have a witch's party every year for Halloween where all
- 13:28Speaker 3: the women would come from all over the neighborhood dressed
- 13:30Speaker 3: as witches. And, um, I, One year I was the
- 13:35Speaker 3: entertainment and I was actually right after my accident. I
- 13:38Speaker 3: was still on a scooter and I dressed up as
- 13:42Speaker 3: a woman.
- 13:43Speaker 9: Sure.
- 13:44Speaker 3: And my kids helped me dress up as a woman.
- 13:46Speaker 3: And I came out and I sang a song or
- 13:48Speaker 3: I danced or I did something.
- 13:50Speaker 4: What's funny about that is when people were doing that
- 13:52Speaker 4: at a certain point in our society, there was no
- 13:55Speaker 4: desire to influence anybody.
- 13:56Speaker 5: It was just a joke.
- 13:57Speaker 4: Now they're like trans or drag queen like school events
- 14:02Speaker 4: where people have. a drag queen in drag talk to kids.
- 14:06Speaker 4: That's very different.
- 14:08Speaker 3: Someone with a genetic abnormality.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Right.
- 14:10Speaker 3: I just find, I don't know why everyone's not going,
- 14:15Speaker 3: did he just call all the trans people like defective? Yeah.
- 14:20Speaker 3: I think that's what he did.
- 14:21Speaker 5: I think they should be more offended.
- 14:24Speaker 3: I would be as well. And look, there's some things
- 14:27Speaker 3: I think you can evolve over. Okay. Like when I
- 14:30Speaker 3: was in college, I had a Richard Nixon resignation party, okay,
- 14:35Speaker 3: because we were all young and liberal and stupid, okay?
- 14:42Speaker 3: And we thought, you know, Richard Nixon, crook, crook, crook,
- 14:46Speaker 3: get him out, get him out.
- 14:47Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah.
- 14:48Speaker 3: And I voted Democrat, I think, once or twice early on.
- 14:53Speaker 11: Fair enough.
- 14:55Speaker 3: I did. You're not alone.
- 14:57Speaker 5: A lot of people did that.
- 14:57Speaker 3: No. No. But, you know, now I couldn't imagine it
- 15:01Speaker 3: in a million years. Yeah. Voting for, like, a Tallarico.
- 15:06Speaker 11: Oh, sure.
- 15:07Speaker 3: Tallarico or whatever his name is. I could. Some people
- 15:11Speaker 3: change and evolve.
- 15:12Speaker 12: Sure.
- 15:12Speaker 3: Some people evolve. They're pro-choice. Sure. And then they evolve
- 15:16Speaker 3: as they get older and more mature. Yes. And understand
- 15:20Speaker 3: life more. They become much more pro-life. Okay? I get that.
- 15:26Speaker 3: But I don't think in three years. You change your
- 15:31Speaker 3: view on sexism.
- 15:33Speaker 5: On everything.
- 15:34Speaker 4: Honestly, it's on everything because if we kept going with
- 15:36Speaker 4: those clips, there's multiple other things that she asks him
- 15:40Speaker 4: that are the things that he's finally getting attacked for
- 15:43Speaker 4: on a larger stage because money is flowing into the
- 15:45Speaker 4: Paxson campaign.
- 15:46Speaker 3: Once the ad starts, he's going to be in deep trouble.
- 15:49Speaker 4: Suddenly, he's against all this stuff. All right, we've got
- 15:51Speaker 4: to take a break. We have my cousin Vinny. Vince
- 15:54Speaker 4: Colonnade is coming up after the break. He was broadcasting
- 15:58Speaker 4: live both days from the Republican National Convention, so he
- 16:01Speaker 4: can give us his thoughts on that. There's a lot
- 16:04Speaker 4: of other things he's been up to as a nationally
- 16:05Speaker 4: syndicated radio host guy, and his show is.
- 16:09Speaker 5: From 12 to 1 o'clock every day, Monday through Friday.
- 16:11Speaker 9: On The Voice of Texas.
- 16:12Speaker 3: He's more famous than you. He's more famous than you.
- 16:14Speaker 5: He is far more famous than me, Wayne. Yes, absolutely
- 16:18Speaker 5: he is.
- 16:18Speaker 3: Just pointing it out.
- 16:19Speaker 5: He's got 100,000 plus followers on Twitter. He's up there.
- 16:23Speaker 4: In our family, it seems like most people are proud
- 16:25Speaker 4: of him more than me.
- 16:27Speaker 5: But Grandma always liked me more, which was important. Quick break.
- 16:30Speaker 4: A lot coming up. I think he'd argue with that.
- 16:33Speaker 4: KSVB Mornings, Wayne D'Ultifino, Craig Collins, The Voice of Texas.

- 18:44Speaker 5: This is The Voice of Texas. My name is Craig Collins.
- 18:48Speaker 4: He is Wayne Dolcefano. We are the mob guys, as
- 18:52Speaker 4: we call ourselves. Hey, the mob guys on KSEV. Our
- 18:55Speaker 4: next guest is my cousin Vinny, which also sounds very Italian.
- 18:59Speaker 4: Vince Colonese, who is a nationally syndicated radio host.
- 19:03Speaker 5: And has been in Dallas.
- 19:05Speaker 4: We were going to try to meet up, and I'm
- 19:07Speaker 4: not in Dallas, which made me sad the other day.
- 19:09Speaker 5: But Vince, how you doing, buddy?
- 19:11Speaker 15: I'm doing so good. And I got to say, you
- 19:13Speaker 15: said something like that. Maybe I disagree with you that
- 19:15Speaker 15: you're a grandma's favorite. I don't disagree with you. Actually,
- 19:19Speaker 15: she told me that all the time. She's like, why
- 19:20Speaker 15: can't you be more like Craig? She would say it constantly.
- 19:23Speaker 15: So thank you for reminding me of that. It's been
- 19:25Speaker 15: roaming over me.
- 19:26Speaker 4: Well, I was explaining to Wayne Dolcefino, my co-host, who's
- 19:29Speaker 4: also an Italian from the East Coast originally, that she
- 19:32Speaker 4: just would listen to me because she was in Indy
- 19:34Speaker 4: and I would fill in a lot in Indianapolis.
- 19:37Speaker 5: So, you know, grandma heard me on the radio. And
- 19:40Speaker 5: occasionally seem very proud of that. But anyway, lots and
- 19:44Speaker 5: lots of things to talk about.
- 19:46Speaker 4: At some point, Wayne Dolcefino is going to tell you
- 19:48Speaker 4: that I have to change my name.
- 19:50Speaker 5: My on-air last name.
- 19:50Speaker 3: I'm so embarrassed for him. I mean, like, hiding your ethnicity, right,
- 19:56Speaker 3: for some, like, brief radio frame. You know, Vinny, when
- 20:00Speaker 3: I was in radio early on in my career, I
- 20:03Speaker 3: had to do a spot for mutual broadcasting. And they
- 20:07Speaker 3: paid you, like, $ 10 for the spot, right? And that
- 20:11Speaker 3: was a big, big deal. And when I did the spot, they,
- 20:15Speaker 3: the guy, after I did it, I signed off, you know,
- 20:17Speaker 3: Wayne Dolcefino Houston. He goes, Hey, I'm not sure we
- 20:21Speaker 3: can pronounce Dolcefino. Would you mind changing your name? And
- 20:25Speaker 3: for 10 bucks. And I said, no, screw you. And,
- 20:29Speaker 3: and I noticed that your cousin, Craig was willing to
- 20:34Speaker 3: change his name to hide his ethnicity and, Just for
- 20:38Speaker 3: a couple of bucks.
- 21:08Speaker 4: This is silly, and it's obviously not working, my fake
- 21:11Speaker 4: name anymore that we've said my real name so many times.
- 21:15Speaker 4: But I would say I liked the distance from the crazies.
- 21:18Speaker 4: And one day after the one-year anniversary or whatever you
- 21:23Speaker 4: want to call it of the death of Charlie Kirk,
- 21:25Speaker 4: even if it's a stupid thing, some level of distance
- 21:29Speaker 4: from the crazies, it felt good.
- 21:32Speaker 5: But you're a very public person, and you use your
- 21:34Speaker 5: real name. Do you ever worry about that?
- 21:37Speaker 15: Yeah, I mean, well, you know, my wife does most
- 21:40Speaker 15: of the worrying for the family. She handles that. But,
- 21:44Speaker 15: you know, I think that makes a lot of sense.
- 21:48Speaker 15: There's a way to do these kinds of jobs for sure, Adet, sensibly,
- 21:54Speaker 15: which means, like, you know, you should protect your family. Like,
- 21:56Speaker 15: I tell people that I have a 12-year-old daughter, but
- 21:59Speaker 15: I'm not, like, revealing.
- 22:01Speaker 11: Every detail about her and her name and.
- 22:03Speaker 15: All that stuff. And that's just a conscious decision on
- 22:05Speaker 15: my part because– I'm trying to create a good and
- 22:08Speaker 15: safe and enriching life for her while simultaneously, you know,
- 22:12Speaker 15: doing the job that I get to do that I'm
- 22:14Speaker 15: so blessed to do. And, yeah, so, no, all the time.
- 22:19Speaker 15: You're constantly considering.
- 22:20Speaker 5: He's being so nice to me. Well, he doesn't make
- 22:22Speaker 5: the same decision. This was so kindly done. No, it's fine.
- 22:25Speaker 5: I'm colonized. I'm colonized.
- 22:27Speaker 9: It's fine.
- 22:28Speaker 15: On this point, though, actually, it's kind of changing your
- 22:31Speaker 15: name in order to accommodate the demands of, like, radio executives,
- 22:35Speaker 15: it's almost like a nostalgic thing. It's just like the
- 22:40Speaker 15: way the industry used to be. Everybody changed their name.
- 22:43Speaker 15: It was so commonplace. Nobody's actually given a birth name
- 22:48Speaker 15: on the air. Everybody had fake names. It's the reason
- 22:50Speaker 15: why all the weather people are named after weather events.
- 22:53Speaker 15: It's like their last name is Storm or whatever.
- 22:55Speaker 3: Like Stormy. Yeah, exactly.
- 22:58Speaker 15: So it's It's kind of an old school thing, which
- 23:01Speaker 15: I kind of respect.
- 23:02Speaker 5: I just unfortunately have a co-host who didn't do that.
- 23:09Speaker 3: Can I interrupt?
- 23:10Speaker 5: Yeah, go ahead, Wayne.
- 23:11Speaker 3: Can I interrupt? Because you're hiding your family's Italian roots
- 23:15Speaker 3: is your issue. I'd like to talk to Vinny about Dallas, okay? Sure.
- 23:20Speaker 3: Because he was there. And look, as Craig calls me,
- 23:24Speaker 3: I'm sometimes squishy. I get Trump's humor. I really do.
- 23:30Speaker 3: I think he's a troller, and I think he's funny
- 23:32Speaker 3: as crap sometimes. How did it play in the arena
- 23:38Speaker 3: when he did that pledge to the greatest president in
- 23:41Speaker 3: the history of America?
- 23:44Speaker 15: Well, I was out of the arena by that time
- 23:46Speaker 15: last night. I have been in Dallas. We've been broadcasting
- 23:48Speaker 15: each day from there. I wasn't in the arena, so
- 23:50Speaker 15: I'll admit that up front. But I'll just tell you,
- 23:53Speaker 15: I can tell, though, immediately how it played, which is
- 23:56Speaker 15: it was.
- 23:57Speaker 11: A laugh riot.
- 23:58Speaker 15: It was hilarious. I was and I and I and
- 24:00Speaker 15: I'm seeing this and I and I knew immediately how
- 24:02Speaker 15: the media would react to it. Like, oh, my God,
- 24:05Speaker 15: it's a cult. They're doing a pledge. They're pledging themselves
- 24:08Speaker 15: to Donald Trump. And and if it was a pledge,
- 24:11Speaker 15: first of all, it was like impossible to follow. The
- 24:12Speaker 15: president was doing like 15 ad lib lines that nobody
- 24:16Speaker 15: was going to remember to repeat back to him. It
- 24:19Speaker 15: was it was hysterical. And it was just it was
- 24:22Speaker 15: a typical Trump moment. You know, every a lot of these.
- 24:26Speaker 15: You can tell a lot about a person by the
- 24:28Speaker 15: way they react to Donald Trump.
- 24:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:30Speaker 15: Because like there's so many people who they will fill
- 24:34Speaker 15: in the spaces in their own mind and then attack
- 24:37Speaker 15: the thing that they created. You know, it's like it's
- 24:39Speaker 15: just what we call straw manning. They're constantly lighting straw
- 24:43Speaker 15: man on fire when it comes to Trump. And why
- 24:45Speaker 15: don't you just watch what he's doing and like relax
- 24:48Speaker 15: a little bit? Like people just get so high strung.
- 24:51Speaker 5: Let me ask you this, because we've also been talking
- 24:53Speaker 5: a lot about kind of who stole Trump. the convention.
- 24:56Speaker 4: Obviously, Trump spoke at the end of each night, and
- 24:58Speaker 4: maybe it's a Texas thing, but we think Brandon Gill
- 25:02Speaker 4: is an incredible star within the Republican Party.
- 25:06Speaker 5: Did you see him speak the first night? What did
- 25:08Speaker 5: you think about Brandon Gill?
- 25:10Speaker 15: He was a stunner. I mean, he was great. He
- 25:12Speaker 15: was absolutely great, and not surprised at all, though. He
- 25:16Speaker 15: met expectations, as far as I'm concerned, because I've been
- 25:19Speaker 15: following this guy for a He's absolutely crushed it. His
- 25:28Speaker 15: process in Congress is wonderful. He's very Socratic. He's just
- 25:31Speaker 15: asking really simple questions, but they're designed to reveal to
- 25:35Speaker 15: the audience why this person represents something so completely insane,
- 25:42Speaker 15: by their own words, usually. And so he's just a
- 25:45Speaker 15: total star. And he's a really bright guy. His wife
- 25:49Speaker 15: is Dinesh D'Souza's daughter. So he's got a great, very
- 25:53Speaker 15: smart father in law. And he's he's very impressive. So
- 25:57Speaker 15: when he gets up there the other night and gives
- 26:00Speaker 15: the land acknowledgement, I was I was laughing out loud
- 26:03Speaker 15: at that because I think that's great. I actually I
- 26:06Speaker 15: actually think more Republicans should do that more frequently. Like
- 26:09Speaker 15: start your speech by acknowledging the great inheritance we have
- 26:13Speaker 15: as Americans instead of this constant self-loathing and attacks on
- 26:17Speaker 15: the country that we get from these lesbians.
- 26:20Speaker 3: Yeah, you know what? Vinny, you do a show, and
- 26:24Speaker 3: I do this show for free, I would say, but
- 26:27Speaker 3: I also work a media company. I talk to lots
- 26:30Speaker 3: of people. I really don't have a sense of where
- 26:34Speaker 3: the country actually is because we're all bombarded every day
- 26:39Speaker 3: in the legacy media, whatever you call it. We're bombarded
- 26:43Speaker 3: every day with the worst possible view of things. Trump
- 26:47Speaker 3: makes a joke, sometimes a good joke, sometimes a you know,
- 26:50Speaker 3: a little bit over the edge. And the media freaks
- 26:54Speaker 3: out because they hate him so much personally. And I just,
- 26:58Speaker 3: I'm losing my sense of where the country actually is.
- 27:04Speaker 15: Well, what you're tapping into is the importance of telling
- 27:08Speaker 15: the truth, for one. That's kind of right at the
- 27:11Speaker 15: center of what you just described. And the reason for
- 27:14Speaker 15: that is because the information that people consume is uh,
- 27:19Speaker 15: affects how they think about everything. And so if you,
- 27:22Speaker 15: if you lie to people on a routine basis and
- 27:25Speaker 15: they form opinions based on those lives, that's a form
- 27:27Speaker 15: of mind control. And this is why it is so
- 27:31Speaker 15: completely important to be, uh, as careful as you can, uh,
- 27:34Speaker 15: with your words and how you present these things that
- 27:37Speaker 15: they matter a lot. Um, and so when you say
- 27:39Speaker 15: you're not sure where everybody is, I, I agree with you.
- 27:41Speaker 15: I think one of the, one of the, um, the
- 27:44Speaker 15: disheartening thing is to look around and be like, how many,
- 27:47Speaker 15: how can so many people be misled? Like, how could
- 27:50Speaker 15: any percentage of the country of any meaning be backing
- 27:53Speaker 15: a political party that just straight up opened our borders
- 27:56Speaker 15: for four years under Biden? Like, how could anybody support
- 28:00Speaker 15: a political party that coddles or enthusiastically supports the mutilation
- 28:05Speaker 15: of children or the mass abortion of kids?
- 28:07Speaker 5: And now it's just straight up communist or socialist.
- 28:11Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 28:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:12Speaker 15: Yeah, and has full-blown open socialists in the party. No,
- 28:18Speaker 15: you're right. I mean that part is disheartening. But what
- 28:22Speaker 15: I will say is if you look at 2024, I
- 28:24Speaker 15: felt like that was a refreshing reminder that the American
- 28:27Speaker 15: spirit is very much still there in big numbers and
- 28:30Speaker 15: that people– if we gather together and we fight for
- 28:34Speaker 15: what we believe in, we really can achieve great things. And,
- 28:37Speaker 15: you know, I there's a there's a thing that constantly
- 28:40Speaker 15: rattles around in my head that I'm reminded of any
- 28:43Speaker 15: time I run into those types of disheartening stories. And
- 28:46Speaker 15: it's it's the words of the late great Rush Limbaugh,
- 28:48Speaker 15: who said, never give up, never, ever, ever give up.
- 28:54Speaker 15: And so when you see these moments where you feel
- 28:56Speaker 15: disheartened or you feel like even the guys on your
- 28:58Speaker 15: side are not serving you well, you feel like you
- 29:00Speaker 15: want to tap out of the political process. I'm sick
- 29:03Speaker 15: of all of it. Just remember, never give up. You
- 29:06Speaker 15: are the inheritor of a great legacy. You should do
- 29:10Speaker 15: everything you can to make it even better.
- 29:12Speaker 5: One last question I have for you.
- 29:13Speaker 3: Well said.
- 29:14Speaker 5: Yeah, very well said. Well, one last question.
- 29:16Speaker 4: I see this is why everybody else likes him better.
- 29:18Speaker 4: This is why he's the more successful.
- 29:19Speaker 3: Well, I do it in three minutes and I like
- 29:22Speaker 3: him better.
- 29:22Speaker 5: That's fine. It's fine.
- 29:25Speaker 4: Anyway, I just want to say this, Vince, before I
- 29:27Speaker 4: let you go, because we've been talking about it this week,
- 29:29Speaker 4: Wayne and I on this show. The message from the
- 29:33Speaker 4: Republican Party moving forward, there was concern at times that
- 29:36Speaker 4: it wasn't crystallized well enough to be heard.
- 29:39Speaker 5: And it wasn't as simple as.
- 29:41Speaker 4: And I think, Wayne, you keep saying it this way,
- 29:44Speaker 4: we might be a little strong in our words at times,
- 29:47Speaker 4: but we're not crazy. We're the rational people. They're the
- 29:49Speaker 4: insane people. After two days of convention designed very much
- 29:53Speaker 4: to create enthusiasm within the party, do.
- 29:56Speaker 5: You think the message for voters was also crystallized?
- 30:00Speaker 15: From auto pen to overdrive. You know, that was Scott.
- 30:03Speaker 15: That was Scott Betts at the other day, Treasury Secretary,
- 30:05Speaker 15: saying that I loved it. My my view is that
- 30:10Speaker 15: this was a very effective convention, that it was only
- 30:13Speaker 15: net positive. And all the all the kind of like
- 30:16Speaker 15: like throwing eggs at it from the outside that people
- 30:18Speaker 15: were doing. It's just silly. I mean, it's just I mean, metaphorically,
- 30:22Speaker 15: of course, although I heard there were some protesters apparently.
- 30:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:25Speaker 15: But but just the point is, it's really simple. I
- 30:28Speaker 15: think it was all net positive. The Democrats can't even
- 30:30Speaker 15: afford this because they're broke as a party. They know
- 30:33Speaker 15: no venue would honor their attempts to even hold one
- 30:35Speaker 15: like this. And President Trump, I think he crushed it.
- 30:39Speaker 15: He knows how to throw a show. I knew that
- 30:41Speaker 15: going into this. Nobody's done these things better. The theatrics
- 30:44Speaker 15: of this are well within his control. And he dominated.
- 30:48Speaker 15: And now where do we go from here? Well, Labor
- 30:50Speaker 15: Day is over. We just had a massive midterm convention.
- 30:53Speaker 15: And now this is the most intense portion of the race.
- 30:56Speaker 15: This is where the ads are going to get the
- 30:58Speaker 15: most annoying. The aggression politically is going to mount up
- 31:01Speaker 15: to new levels. And this is where you have to
- 31:03Speaker 15: stay in the fight in order to save your country.
- 31:06Speaker 5: Amen.
- 31:06Speaker 4: That is Vince Colonese. He is the host of the
- 31:08Speaker 4: Vince show. Yeah, I like him, too. I'm a big fan.
- 31:11Speaker 4: And Grandpa, big, big fan of you. And he would
- 31:13Speaker 4: have been a big fan of you using our last
- 31:16Speaker 4: name correctly. Anyway, that's enough of mentioning that. Thank you again, Vince,
- 31:20Speaker 4: as always, for joining the show. Look forward to talking
- 31:22Speaker 4: again week. What do you have coming up today at noon?
- 31:25Speaker 4: Is there anything you can promote for us?
- 31:27Speaker 16: I am.
- 31:27Speaker 15: Well, I'm doing the show from Dallas today for my
- 31:30Speaker 15: great affiliate, KLIF. It's going to be great. We'll be
- 31:33Speaker 15: doing it, of course, all across the country, including right
- 31:35Speaker 15: here on this great station.
- 31:37Speaker 3: Cool.
- 31:37Speaker 15: And I can't wait. I'll be highlighting some of my
- 31:40Speaker 15: great experiences in Texas this week, which I'm really enjoying.
- 31:44Speaker 15: And everything.
- 31:45Speaker 3: J.D.
- 31:45Speaker 15: Vance's big speech yesterday.
- 31:46Speaker 14: Great.
- 31:47Speaker 5: I saw the brisket that you ate the other day.
- 31:48Speaker 5: That looked pretty great.
- 31:49Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 31:50Speaker 15: Dude, it changed my life. It changed my life. I
- 31:53Speaker 15: thought about changing my name, actually. I was like, I'm
- 31:55Speaker 15: ready now.
- 31:56Speaker 5: There you go. You're going to go, Collins. All right,
- 31:57Speaker 5: talk to you later, Vince.
- 31:59Speaker 4: The Vince Show, as I said, every day from 12
- 32:00Speaker 4: to 1 o'clock right here on The Voice of Texas.
- 32:02Speaker 5: We've got to take a break. Wayne Dolcefino, who likes
- 32:06Speaker 5: Vinny more than me.
- 32:07Speaker 3: I really do like Vinny.
- 32:09Speaker 16: I know.
- 32:09Speaker 4: He's an incredible guy. I'm aware of that. Every room
- 32:12Speaker 4: I walk into, I know.
- 32:14Speaker 5: No, it's fine.
- 32:15Speaker 7: Sorry, dude.
- 32:17Speaker 9: He's awesome.
- 32:18Speaker 5: I like him, too.
- 32:19Speaker 3: It is what it is.
- 32:19Speaker 5: It is what it is, man.
- 32:20Speaker 4: He's a talented young man and just slightly younger than me.
- 32:23Speaker 4: I think a few months younger than me.
- 32:25Speaker 5: Better looking, too. Just across the board. I mean, honestly.
- 32:31Speaker 5: Quick break.
- 32:32Speaker 9: A lot more.
- 32:33Speaker 4: This is KSU Mornings with the not as famous and
- 32:36Speaker 4: popular Craig Collins and then very famous, well-successful Wayne Dolcefino.
- 32:41Speaker 5: Back after this. Houston, trust GenPro, your generator experts.
- 33:12Speaker 12: Top 25 Generac dealer in the nation, top five Cummins,
- 33:16Speaker 12: top five Kohler.
- 33:18Speaker 5: GenPro.com. Why trust anyone else?

- 33:55Speaker 14: For many years, the Pine Box has been helping families

- 34:03Speaker 14: of arranging a loved one's funeral. I have worked with

- 34:09Speaker 14: I know I can trust Chip Beresford at the Pine Box.
- 34:12Speaker 9: He's the owner. To be sure that he walks me
- 34:14Speaker 9: through that process.
- 34:16Speaker 14: And that I am prepared for the funeral and that
- 34:20Speaker 14: I get the quality I seek without breaking the budget.
- 34:24Speaker 9: Because it's a very difficult thing.
- 34:26Speaker 14: No one wants to feel like a cheapskate handling a
- 34:29Speaker 14: funeral of a loved one. but you also can't afford
- 34:31Speaker 14: to go broke either. You know, funerals are statistically the

- 34:54Speaker 7: Growing up, I remember watching my dad drop everything to
- 34:58Speaker 7: help somebody in need. Early or late, if somebody needed help,

- 36:25Speaker 10: From the KSEV Weather Center, this afternoon will bring partly
- 36:28Speaker 10: sunny skies and humidity, along with a chance of a
- 36:30Speaker 10: thunderstorm in some areas. The high will reach 92 degrees tonight.
- 36:34Speaker 10: Expect a thunderstorm in some spots early in the evening. Otherwise,
- 36:37Speaker 10: it will be mostly cloudy, warm, and humid with a
- 36:39Speaker 10: low of 77. Tomorrow will be humid with intervals of
- 36:42Speaker 10: sunshine interrupted by clouds at times and the possibility of
- 36:44Speaker 10: afternoon and evening thunderstorms in some areas. The high will
- 36:47Speaker 10: be around 96 degrees. Sunday will be humid with a
- 36:50Speaker 10: mix of clouds and sunshine with a chance of a
- 36:52Speaker 10: thunderstorm in some spots during the afternoon. The high temperature
- 36:55Speaker 10: will reach 92 degrees. With the KSEV Weather Center forecast,
- 36:58Speaker 10: I'm AccuWeather meteorologist Joe Lundberg.
- 37:12Speaker 5: KSEV mornings. This is the voice of Texas. My name
- 37:17Speaker 5: is Craig Collins. Russell is doing air drums in the
- 37:20Speaker 5: other room, which.
- 37:21Speaker 13: Is pretty cool.
- 37:22Speaker 4: And then Wayne Dolcevino was bobbing his head to several
- 37:25Speaker 4: of the songs that we were playing throughout the morning.
- 37:27Speaker 4: Although you have also asked for calmer music at times, right?
- 37:31Speaker 4: Is that still a thing you want, Wayne, or no?
- 37:33Speaker 3: I wouldn't mind a little Godfather theme. I have that
- 37:36Speaker 3: on my phone.
- 37:37Speaker 5: Gotcha.
- 37:38Speaker 3: But this is Genetic Abnormality Hour here on KSCV, right?
- 37:43Speaker 5: Sure.
- 37:44Speaker 3: So anyone who has a genetic abnormality, please call in, right?
- 37:48Speaker 3: Give them the number.
- 37:49Speaker 4: We do have a caller on hold, too. I just
- 37:51Speaker 4: noticed that because I probably should pay more attention to that.
- 37:53Speaker 4: But KSCV's call-in number is 281-558- 5-7-3-8-2-8-1-5-5-8-5-7-3-8. And let's go
- 38:00Speaker 4: to Sharon. A normal caller. Let's go to a normal caller.
- 38:06Speaker 5: Let's go to Sharon, who's called in. Sharon, what do
- 38:09Speaker 5: you want to say?
- 38:10Speaker 3: Hi, Craig.
- 38:11Speaker 6: Thanks for explaining all your family relationships. Now I get it.
- 38:15Speaker 6: It's Vince Colonese and Craig Collins, the short form of Colonese. Okay,
- 38:21Speaker 6: I get it now.
- 38:22Speaker 1: That is true.
- 38:22Speaker 6: And by the way, I totally agree with Vince. I
- 38:26Speaker 6: can see the connection between y'all and the family line
- 38:29Speaker 6: and the way you hear things and report things on
- 38:32Speaker 6: the news. You're both very solid, and I like that.
- 38:35Speaker 5: Well, thank you.
- 38:36Speaker 6: And I appreciate his assessment of the convention that he gave,
- 38:42Speaker 6: and I think he's just right on. It was just
- 38:44Speaker 6: a– for once, everybody got to see the Republican Party
- 38:48Speaker 6: as having fun and not a bunch of stiff-necked, authoritative,
- 38:53Speaker 6: you know, all the stuff that the Republican Party– uh,
- 38:56Speaker 6: is known for when they get up.
- 38:58Speaker 11: There in DC.
- 38:59Speaker 6: No, no, they had a good time and it was
- 39:01Speaker 6: right here in Texas. And one of my favorites, you've
- 39:05Speaker 6: already played it is, um, is, um, what's his name now?
- 39:10Speaker 11: Again, I, I can't even call his name.
- 39:11Speaker 5: Are you talking about Brandon Gill?
- 39:13Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 39:14Speaker 6: Brandon, Brandon Gill. And, and I did, I've done the
- 39:17Speaker 6: research on him and he is married to Dinesh D'Souza's daughter.
- 39:20Speaker 6: I think that's wonderful. And, um, But one of my favorite,
- 39:25Speaker 6: and of course, his land acknowledgement was one of my favorites.
- 39:29Speaker 6: so I'm glad you played that. But then another of
- 39:32Speaker 6: my favorites, and I wanted to ask if you have it,
- 39:35Speaker 6: can you play it, was when President Trump introduced our
- 39:39Speaker 6: great star Attorney General in Paxton. I just thought that
- 39:45Speaker 6: was hilarious. And he did such a good job. He's
- 39:48Speaker 6: so just inimitable in the way he does his, the
- 39:53Speaker 6: way he talks, the way he delivers, the way he operates.
- 39:57Speaker 6: He's just the greatest of all. And so I love
- 40:01Speaker 6: the way he introduced Ken Paxton.
- 40:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:03Speaker 4: And you're talking about some of the jokes he made
- 40:05Speaker 4: about Ken Paxton, too, or just the way that he
- 40:08Speaker 4: introduced him in general?
- 40:08Speaker 6: Well, the way he introduced him, he said, you know,
- 40:11Speaker 6: you may not like his hair.
- 40:13Speaker 11: He may not have the best hair.
- 40:14Speaker 5: Yep, I have that.
- 40:14Speaker 15: He's got the best dress.
- 40:16Speaker 3: Yep.
- 40:17Speaker 5: I got you. Thank you, Sharon. I can go ahead
- 40:19Speaker 5: and play that. We can play that audio. Do you
- 40:20Speaker 5: want to play that too, Wayne, real quick? Yeah, let's
- 40:22Speaker 5: do it.
- 40:22Speaker 4: This was part of what President Trump said about Ken
- 40:25Speaker 4: Paxton the other night.
- 40:30Speaker 18: And by the way, you've got to elect Ken Paxton.
- 40:33Speaker 9: You got to do it.
- 40:39Speaker 18: And I said something yesterday, and I don't know if
- 40:43Speaker 18: he'll ever talk to me again. Perhaps he will.
- 40:46Speaker 9: But I said it, and my people said, please.
- 40:48Speaker 18: Don't say that, so I won't say it, but I'll tell.
- 40:50Speaker 9: You what I was thinking about saying.
- 40:55Speaker 18: I said, I don't like the way Ken dresses. Although
- 41:03Speaker 18: I also said he looked really sharp in that suit yesterday.
- 41:06Speaker 3: I thought.
- 41:07Speaker 5: He did, he did.
- 41:11Speaker 1: And then I said.
- 41:13Speaker 18: I don't really like the way Ken talks. And then
- 41:19Speaker 18: I said something that they really hated. Please, sir, don't
- 41:21Speaker 18: say it, sir. So I'm not going to say it,
- 41:24Speaker 18: but I'll tell you what I was thinking about. I said,
- 41:28Speaker 18: I don't really like the way he looks.
- 41:31Speaker 9: I don't like it. I don't like it. But you
- 41:34Speaker 9: know what I do like?
- 41:35Speaker 18: He was the greatest attorney general in the history of Texas.
- 41:40Speaker 18: He was the greatest attorney general in the history of
- 41:44Speaker 18: our country. He helped us so much with the walls,
- 41:48Speaker 18: with illegal immigration, with everything.
- 41:52Speaker 5: He did a lot of really good things.
- 41:53Speaker 3: And that's really the Ken Paxton story, right? Yes. He
- 41:58Speaker 3: just is a little swarmy, I guess. No offense.
- 42:01Speaker 7: Yeah, I don't know.
- 42:02Speaker 3: But Well, you know me. I say what I think.
- 42:06Speaker 5: Oh, yeah. I don't disagree with you.
- 42:08Speaker 3: In terms of a person who will do the things
- 42:12Speaker 3: that I want done, he is 120% the right person.
- 42:18Speaker 1: Right.
- 42:19Speaker 3: John Cornyn got in trouble because he wasn't just squishy.
- 42:25Speaker 3: He was, like, soft.
- 42:29Speaker 5: Yeah, he wasn't just squishy. He was a full-on rhino.
- 42:31Speaker 5: He would do things, depending on who was in power,
- 42:35Speaker 5: that I didn't like at all.
- 42:36Speaker 3: And what I don't understand is the Cornyn people who say,
- 42:41Speaker 3: I'm mad because Cornyn lost, when quite honestly, Paxton probably
- 42:47Speaker 3: has a better chance because it's a base election. You know,
- 42:51Speaker 3: these midterms are base elections. That we should all be saying,
- 42:58Speaker 3: Compared to Tallarico, Paxton is perfect. I know he's got blemishes.
- 43:04Speaker 3: He's got a messed-up family life, like most Americans have
- 43:09Speaker 3: a messed-up family life.
- 43:10Speaker 5: That's true.
- 43:11Speaker 3: And it's due, and it's just part of life.
- 43:15Speaker 5: The phones are lighting up a little bit, I guess.
- 43:16Speaker 3: Uh-oh.
- 43:17Speaker 5: What did I say? I don't know, but we'll try
- 43:19Speaker 5: Dale next. Dale, what did you want to say?
- 43:23Speaker 16: Yeah, you know, I haven't played my favorite soundbite yet
- 43:26Speaker 16: because it pretty well sums up.
- 43:29Speaker 16: I think what the conservative party has turned into when
- 43:32Speaker 16: Ted Cruz mentioned Tallarico's name, you could hear very loudly,
- 43:35Speaker 16: he should be shot. Y'all have any comment on that?
- 43:40Speaker 16: And Ted Cruz.
- 43:40Speaker 5: Said absolutely nothing. So hold on.
- 43:43Speaker 4: I want to confirm what you're asking for. Your favorite
- 43:46Speaker 4: clip from the convention is your claim that someone in
- 43:48Speaker 4: the audience yelled they should shoot Tallarico and.
- 43:53Speaker 4: And you would assume that Wayne and I would support
- 43:57Speaker 4: that because you think that's what the Republican Party has become.
- 44:00Speaker 4: I will definitively reject the idea of anyone shooting James Tallarico.
- 44:05Speaker 4: If that's the goal of the call, Dale, and I'm
- 44:07Speaker 4: trying to be a little respectful, but I think that's
- 44:09Speaker 4: a little ridiculous, I will definitively reject the idea that
- 44:12Speaker 4: anyone should shoot and kill James Tallarico. Does that satiate
- 44:15Speaker 4: your need to demonstrate that the Republican Party isn't that way?
- 44:20Speaker 16: I'm not saying that you agree with it. I'm saying
- 44:23Speaker 16: I heard nobody call it.
- 44:24Speaker 4: You said you said that the Republican Party has become
- 44:28Speaker 4: and that your clip demonstrated what it became.
- 44:30Speaker 5: I'm part of the Republican Party. I vote Republican. I reject,
- 44:34Speaker 5: resoundingly reject the concept of that. Does that does that
- 44:37Speaker 5: satiate your desire?
- 44:40Speaker 16: Why didn't anybody call it down? Why didn't Ted Cruz
- 44:43Speaker 16: say no?
- 44:43Speaker 5: Someone yelled something in the audience that it's actually sometimes
- 44:47Speaker 5: even hard to hear from the stage.
- 44:49Speaker 9: To be honest.
- 44:50Speaker 5: Some crazy person said something. Are you also pretending that
- 44:52Speaker 5: Democrats don't yell crazy stuff from the audience at Democratic events?
- 44:57Speaker 5: Because there's crazy people on both sides, Dale.
- 45:00Speaker 16: I've never heard of advocates. And the scary part is
- 45:03Speaker 16: there's somebody listening to that that's probably thinking one of
- 45:06Speaker 16: these Jay Sixers.
- 45:07Speaker 11: All right.
- 45:08Speaker 16: I probably think, you know what?
- 45:10Speaker 11: I need to do that.
- 45:11Speaker 5: OK, one other thing.
- 45:12Speaker 4: One other thing I want to say is you almost
- 45:13Speaker 4: finished your thought. You've never heard anybody advocate for killing anyone.
- 45:16Speaker 4: There are Democrats all over social media, I see, that
- 45:19Speaker 4: are still sad that Trump didn't die.
- 45:22Speaker 5: And actually, even Tallarico's pastor.
- 45:25Speaker 4: And I think this outed, you know, sermon he gave
- 45:28Speaker 4: said that members of his congregation, not him, members of
- 45:31Speaker 4: his congregation were sad that the young man missed. And
- 45:35Speaker 4: that was talking about not killing Trump. I can play
- 45:38Speaker 4: that audio for you if you want.
- 45:40Speaker 5: But it is ridiculous to pretend that the left and
- 45:42Speaker 5: I would never accuse you of wanting Trump to be
- 45:45Speaker 5: shot and killed because some insane person within the party
- 45:48Speaker 5: that it sounds like you vote for has said exactly that.
- 45:51Speaker 4: But Tallarico's own pastor made reference to members of his
- 45:54Speaker 4: congregation who wish Trump had been assassinated.
- 45:57Speaker 16: Did I say that you wanted him shot? I'm just
- 46:01Speaker 16: saying that. That's the kind of rhetoric. Come on.
- 46:04Speaker 4: I'm going to let him go because, to be honest,
- 46:07Speaker 4: he started the phone call by saying the Republican Party
- 46:09Speaker 4: has become, which was.
- 46:11Speaker 5: Alluding to the idea that you and I go ahead, Wayne.
- 46:13Speaker 5: I don't know what you want.
- 46:14Speaker 3: No, some some Yahoo yells something dumb. I'm not sure
- 46:19Speaker 3: even acknowledging it makes any sense.
- 46:22Speaker 7: Right.
- 46:22Speaker 5: It gives it it gives it air.
- 46:24Speaker 3: I mean, would would they feel better if Trump, which
- 46:26Speaker 3: he never would have said, you know, of course, we
- 46:29Speaker 3: don't want to shoot anybody.
- 46:30Speaker 10: Right.
- 46:31Speaker 3: Of course not. Look, I do agree with your cousin
- 46:36Speaker 3: Vinny about the fact that they were having fun and
- 46:40Speaker 3: that the Republicans actually still have an all-in-the-family kind of
- 46:44Speaker 3: sense of humor. In a way, they're still acting like
- 46:49Speaker 3: we did in the 70s, Dale, when we got laughs
- 46:53Speaker 3: out of shows that made fun of ethnicities and women
- 46:57Speaker 3: and All the stuff that we used to do has
- 47:00Speaker 3: become taboo, even though a lot of it is still
- 47:03Speaker 3: very true today. Everyone's afraid to make a joke because
- 47:09Speaker 3: you're going to offend someone. The good thing about me
- 47:11Speaker 3: is I don't give a crap. I will make a joke.
- 47:15Speaker 3: I like to offend people. I don't care.
- 47:17Speaker 5: That's fine.
- 47:17Speaker 4: Here, I'm going to play the audio because it came up,
- 47:19Speaker 4: and I actually am not sure if this is completely clean.
- 47:22Speaker 4: I think it is, but I should warn Russell because
- 47:23Speaker 4: I know we have a dump button somewhere. because I
- 47:25Speaker 4: haven't screened this one, but this is the pastor for
- 47:28Speaker 4: James Tallarico talking about members of his own congregation, how
- 47:32Speaker 4: they're atheist or agnostic, and this is a church somehow,
- 47:37Speaker 4: and then also how some of them were sad that
- 47:39Speaker 4: Trump wasn't killed.
- 47:41Speaker 5: And again, we didn't plan to play this audio.
- 47:43Speaker 4: I wouldn't attack all of the Democratic Party and behave
- 47:46Speaker 4: as though the crazies represent everyone, although it feels.
- 47:49Speaker 3: Was Dale in Dallas?
- 47:51Speaker 5: I don't know where Dale was.
- 47:52Speaker 3: Was it Dale who The guy that called, was he
- 47:53Speaker 3: the guy that shouted it out?
- 47:55Speaker 5: Yeah, maybe.
- 47:56Speaker 3: Trying to make his own bowl.
- 47:58Speaker 4: But here, I want to play this just to demonstrate
- 48:00Speaker 4: that I didn't make it up.
- 48:01Speaker 5: For transparency, this did happen.
- 48:03Speaker 19: If you polled our membership and asked them whether they
- 48:08Speaker 19: were Christian, agnostic, or atheist, the vast majority would say
- 48:13Speaker 19: agnostic or atheist.
- 48:14Speaker 5: That's not good.
- 48:16Speaker 19: Because they don't buy the religion that has been That
- 48:25Speaker 19: we got from the Puritans. We still have people in
- 48:27Speaker 19: this church that wish that that young man had not
- 48:31Speaker 19: just nicked his.
- 48:31Speaker 3: Ear, but been more successful. Yeah.
- 48:34Speaker 5: She says there are members of the Presbyterian Church that
- 48:37Speaker 5: she is a reverend at that Tallarico goes to and
- 48:42Speaker 5: that members of that church wish that someone had killed Trump.
- 48:45Speaker 3: Was she going to say that religion was invented? I
- 48:48Speaker 3: thought she almost said invented.
- 48:49Speaker 4: Yeah, I think there's some other not great things. Babs Miller,
- 48:53Speaker 4: by the way, is the person's name.
- 48:55Speaker 3: Babs?
- 48:55Speaker 5: Babs, yes. Babs Miller.
- 48:57Speaker 3: And she's the pastor?
- 48:58Speaker 4: She is one of the pastors at the Presbyterian church
- 49:00Speaker 4: that James Tallarico is.
- 49:02Speaker 3: I don't want to insult the Presbyterians because I'm sure
- 49:05Speaker 3: they're lovely people, but I don't really get it. So
- 49:07Speaker 3: there's atheists that go to that church?
- 49:10Speaker 5: I guess so. Agnostics.
- 49:11Speaker 4: We have Mark on the phone, too. There were more
- 49:13Speaker 4: calls yesterday. We can get to Mark. Mark, what did
- 49:16Speaker 4: you want to say?
- 49:18Speaker 11: Well, gentlemen, I'm very... much an independent, and I don't
- 49:23Speaker 11: get offended by what too many people say. I'm a
- 49:26Speaker 11: very conservative independent. I have the whole freedom of speech thing.
- 49:30Speaker 11: But I will say I watched both nights of this thing,
- 49:33Speaker 11: and Trump's closing speech was so redundant. It actually was...
- 49:40Speaker 11: little bit off-putting. I, uh, I didn't, uh, I didn't
- 49:43Speaker 11: appreciate his commentary about Paxton. I didn't think it was funny.
- 49:47Speaker 11: I thought it was just, again, a narcissist. Uh, I
- 49:49Speaker 11: voted for him three times and I'll vote for him again, right?
- 49:52Speaker 11: If he runs, if he somehow gets, uh, changes the
- 49:55Speaker 11: constitution and gets him to get to run again, I'll
- 49:57Speaker 11: vote for him again because I like his common sense approach,
- 50:00Speaker 11: but sometimes he just needs to know when to shut
- 50:02Speaker 11: the hell up, quite frankly. And, uh, I, uh, Vance,
- 50:07Speaker 11: I thought, did a phenomenal job. And I think Dale
- 50:08Speaker 11: was the guy waving the Mexican flag. I don't think
- 50:11Speaker 11: he was the guy that was shouting out about the gun.
- 50:16Speaker 11: But all that said, man, sometimes I wish Trump would
- 50:19Speaker 11: get out of his own way. But appreciate it, guys.
- 50:22Speaker 5: No, thank you.
- 50:23Speaker 3: Yeah, I've never enjoyed Trump getting into fights with people
- 50:26Speaker 3: that are, like, way under his power and prestige. I
- 50:31Speaker 3: thought it's a waste. He said some pretty incredibly... you know,
- 50:36Speaker 3: dumb stuff. But, you know, I still go back to
- 50:39Speaker 3: the Rosie O'Donnell. I remember the question in the debate
- 50:42Speaker 3: early on in Trump's political career.
- 50:44Speaker 5: Only Rosie O'Donnell.
- 50:45Speaker 3: You call women fat pigs or whatever. Is it only
- 50:48Speaker 3: Rosie O'Donnell? That was really, really funny.
- 50:52Speaker 14: It was.
- 50:52Speaker 3: And I think was one of those moments that you said,
- 50:55Speaker 3: this is a guy that just tells the truth. And
- 50:59Speaker 3: even though there's a lot of evidence and sometimes he exaggerates, right? Sometimes. Yeah.
- 51:06Speaker 3: How dare you? He's got a little more than most people.
- 51:10Speaker 3: Narcissistic streak. Sure. But in terms of his policies, and
- 51:14Speaker 3: that's kind of what I say about Ken Paxton, I'm
- 51:17Speaker 3: not a huge fan of Paxton because of his ethical lapses. Right.
- 51:23Speaker 3: And I also am nervous about people who make a
- 51:27Speaker 3: lot of money in government. The reality is everybody who
- 51:30Speaker 3: is in office or runs for office is They have
- 51:33Speaker 3: opportunities to make a lot of money. But when I
- 51:38Speaker 3: look at the actual policies and what actually he will
- 51:41Speaker 3: do as my senator and how he will support conservatives
- 51:47Speaker 3: and the agenda of conservatives, it's not even a close
- 51:50Speaker 3: call to me.
- 51:52Speaker 5: Yeah, I'll be honest about something else that Mark said, too.
- 51:54Speaker 4: I did kind of agree that even though I laughed
- 51:56Speaker 4: and I've been making a joke the last two days
- 51:59Speaker 4: of the Trump comments about Paxton, that there is some
- 52:03Speaker 4: level to that that's like, really?
- 52:04Speaker 5: Like, we don't have to go there.
- 52:06Speaker 4: I know the guy doesn't look the same as some
- 52:09Speaker 4: other people that run politically for office, and I'd rather
- 52:13Speaker 4: not focus on that at all. Although I do, I
- 52:15Speaker 4: think there's a push and pull to that statement, too,
- 52:18Speaker 4: because there's a lot of people... and Wayne, I think
- 52:20Speaker 4: you were even saying it before the convention, who some
- 52:23Speaker 4: of the stuff they don't like about Paxton is that
- 52:25Speaker 4: he's not a more polished speaker.
- 52:27Speaker 5: And so acknowledging it in some ways is powerful.
- 52:32Speaker 3: It sort of reminds people that even though he doesn't
- 52:36Speaker 3: have good BS, and even though he's not a great
- 52:40Speaker 3: public speaker, he is a great servant of our agenda.
- 52:46Speaker 3: And I think people, when they go into the booth,
- 52:50Speaker 3: need to think seriously about what people believe and what
- 52:55Speaker 3: they will do. You know, if you elect Tallarico that
- 52:58Speaker 3: we're opening the border where, you know, we're going to
- 53:01Speaker 3: worry about everybody's genetic abnormalities. I feel comfortable saying that
- 53:05Speaker 3: now because Tallarico, um, You know, I would never accuse
- 53:09Speaker 3: trans people of being abnormal. But now that he's done it,
- 53:12Speaker 3: I feel like it's open season on that community. But
- 53:18Speaker 3: I just think people need to take stock of what
- 53:23Speaker 3: we believe. And there's a guy running who actually believes
- 53:29Speaker 3: what he's doing. Right.
- 53:31Speaker 5: Yes, he believes his message and his actions match. They
- 53:35Speaker 5: are exactly the same. There's no trans.
- 53:38Speaker 4: between his message and his actions, unlike Calarico where trans
- 53:41Speaker 4: is everything. By the way, to Russell, who I know
- 53:43Speaker 4: will play our exit music in a second, we should
- 53:46Speaker 4: use The Godfather as the close, the Godfather theme song if.
- 53:48Speaker 5: We have it somewhere. Because I think that Wayne would
- 53:52Speaker 5: rather have that as the close.
- 53:54Speaker 3: I've got it on my phone.
- 53:54Speaker 4: He doesn't have it handy right now. Yeah, I thought
- 53:56Speaker 4: it was playing on your phone there for a second, Wayne.
- 53:58Speaker 2: It was.
- 53:58Speaker 3: I had to call.
- 53:59Speaker 4: Yeah, for exit music starting next week, it will no
- 54:02Speaker 4: longer be ACDC. We'll play the Godfather theme song for you.
- 54:05Speaker 3: If you call my office, you will get the whole
- 54:08Speaker 3: music as one of the Godfather songs.
- 54:11Speaker 5: That's fantastic, man. All right, that's it. That's the whole show.
- 54:14Speaker 5: We're done. We're out of here.
- 54:15Speaker 3: The week is over.
- 54:16Speaker 5: The week is over. Wayne Dolcefino, great job this week.
- 54:20Speaker 5: Are you in Monday? Are you here?
- 54:23Speaker 3: I am here. Okay, cool.
- 54:24Speaker 4: Are you going to be here a lot? I know
- 54:25Speaker 4: that we were up and down on how often you're
- 54:26Speaker 4: going to be here, but from home.
- 54:29Speaker 3: The problem I have is I travel a lot, and
- 54:31Speaker 3: I haven't figured out how to take the microphone and
- 54:34Speaker 3: everything and plug it into my hotel room. Okay. But
- 54:39Speaker 3: if I could have a mobile outfit, I could travel...
- 54:42Speaker 3: The world.
- 54:43Speaker 5: The stuff we gave you can work. I've got to
- 54:46Speaker 5: talk to Carter. No offense to you, but I've got
- 54:48Speaker 5: to talk to Carter. We've got to go. We've got
- 54:49Speaker 5: to be out of here. Talk to you guys next time.
- 54:50Speaker 5: The Voice of Texas.
