- 0:00Speaker 1: You're going to find this kind of crazy. Maybe you won't, Christine.
- 0:02Speaker 1: You probably get it. But, you know, Jack Cradaville, he
- 0:05Speaker 1: fills in for me when I'm not here. We're already chatting,
- 0:08Speaker 1: not at this very moment, but in the last couple
- 0:10Speaker 1: of weeks, about 2027 travel dates. Because he likes to
- 0:14Speaker 1: know when I'm going to be away so he can
- 0:16Speaker 1: make sure he's not away. But our family, we're already
- 0:21Speaker 1: kind of planning 2027. Wow. And it seems so futuristic,
- 0:24Speaker 1: but it's only, what, three months away?
- 0:27Speaker 2: Actually, yes.
- 0:28Speaker 1: You've got to plan 2027 right now.
- 0:30Speaker 2: I mean, especially if you're going to do a big trip.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Yes.
- 0:33Speaker 2: You know, because... Yeah, the sooner you can get in,
- 0:36Speaker 2: the better with the rates and everything.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Because April seems like it's never going to come. It's
- 0:40Speaker 1: going to be here before you know it.
- 0:41Speaker 2: It will be. So that's interesting because Expedia is doing
- 0:44Speaker 2: their little travel trend list for us for 2027.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Where should we go in 2027? Yeah.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Well, they said that right now people are definitely more
- 0:53Speaker 2: into experiences than buying stuff. Like this has been big.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Even though the economy is rough, people are still looking
- 0:59Speaker 2: to travel. Same here. We need it. They say unadulting
- 1:03Speaker 2: is a top trend for travel right now.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Unadulting?
- 1:06Speaker 2: Unadulting. We want to escape grown-up responsibilities. We want a
- 1:09Speaker 2: carefree vacation with childlike joy. We want to discover things.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Always a kid at heart, aren't we?
- 1:15Speaker 2: Yes. So people are going on passion vacations. Like if
- 1:20Speaker 2: they have a hobby, they want to be at a
- 1:22Speaker 2: place that is around that. Gothic getaways are big. Gothic style,
- 1:26Speaker 2: historic properties. People love that. Something steeped in folklore, legend,
- 1:30Speaker 2: or the supernatural. And they're also calling it trip snacking.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Like we're doing these quicker little getaways. But we want
- 1:37Speaker 2: to get away. And we are planning. We're booking like
- 1:40Speaker 2: a year in advance. So you want to know around
- 1:44Speaker 2: the world what the top destinations are so far.
- 1:46Speaker 1: I do.
- 1:47Speaker 2: The interest is so far. South Lake Tahoe, California is
- 1:50Speaker 2: coming up number one.
- 1:52Speaker 1: South Lake Tahoe, California. See, I love that. I want
- 1:55Speaker 1: to write that down. I mean, I've heard of Lake Tahoe.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:57Speaker 1: But I've never gotten that specific. So now I'm curious. Okay.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Hyogo, Japan.
- 2:03Speaker 1: See, I would think Tokyo, been to Tokyo.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Right, I think people are trying to find something a
- 2:07Speaker 2: little different.
- 2:07Speaker 1: A little off.
- 2:08Speaker 2: A little different, yes. Punta del Este in Uruguay. All right, fancy.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Props to you for saying it, by the way.
- 2:17Speaker 2: That's easy because it's Spanish. And I only did like
- 2:21Speaker 2: okay with the pronunciation, but okay. But this is one
- 2:23Speaker 2: Eric just was asking to go here. Sedona, Arizona.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Been there. It is beautiful.
- 2:28Speaker 2: It is, right? The searches for that are up 55%. Busan,
- 2:32Speaker 2: South Korea.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Again, I would think, let's go to Seoul.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Right.
- 2:37Speaker 1: But I guess maybe you fly to Seoul.
- 2:38Speaker 2: You're trying to get off the beaten track.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Go to that place.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Mm-hmm. Holbox, Mexico.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Never heard of that one.
- 2:44Speaker 2: I don't know where that is in Mexico. Perugia, Italy. Perugia,
- 2:50Speaker 2: that's it. Perugia, Italy, which I'm sure is gorgeous. The Tweed,
- 2:55Speaker 2: New South Wales, Australia.
- 2:57Speaker 1: We're all doing, huh?
- 2:58Speaker 2: What?
- 2:59Speaker 1: I know.
- 2:59Speaker 2: Interesting, right? I would love to go to Australia. That's
- 3:03Speaker 2: a dream. Niagara-on-the-Lake in Canada.
- 3:06Speaker 1: All right. That must be the Niagara Falls area, but
- 3:10Speaker 1: on the Canadian side.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Yeah, it's beautiful. And Chichester, UK.
- 3:14Speaker 1: There you go. Have you booked anything, Kristen, for 2027?
- 3:18Speaker 1: Or you just have Disney this year? You're doing one
- 3:20Speaker 1: more Disney? You have Disney planned already for next year?
- 3:23Speaker 1: You have three trips planned already for Disney next year?
- 3:27Speaker 2: Wow. And what about you guys? Because you have your
- 3:30Speaker 2: travel plans.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Should I pull up my United Airlines app? Where are
- 3:31Speaker 1: you going? Yes. Do you want to see? All right.
- 3:33Speaker 1: I know we've got to go to break, but this
- 3:34Speaker 1: is fun because I forgot. Yeah. Because my wife does
- 3:38Speaker 1: all the travel plans.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Coco does the planning. All right.
- 3:39Speaker 1: I'm opening my United. All right.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Where are you going?
- 3:42Speaker 1: Okay. I'm hitting my trips. Okay.
- 3:45Speaker 2: This is so exciting.
- 3:45Speaker 1: I wish my- We're going to Casablanca in 40 days.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Ooh.
- 3:49Speaker 1: That's over Thanksgiving.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Cool.
- 3:51Speaker 1: And then we're doing a quick trip. We're leaving Christmas Day.
- 3:54Speaker 1: We're going to Austin.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Oh, nice.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Just going to Austin, Texas.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:58Speaker 1: And then we're going to Seattle in January because we
- 4:00Speaker 1: have friends there.
- 4:01Speaker 2: I love Seattle.
- 4:02Speaker 1: And this is our big trip in April. We're going
- 4:05Speaker 1: to Cebu, C-E-B-U, and the Philippines.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 4:10Speaker 1: I think it's Cebu.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Okay.
- 4:11Speaker 1: I don't want to say Kibu. It's Cebu. Okay. And
- 4:14Speaker 1: that's where we've stopped at April. We're at April, late
- 4:18Speaker 1: April into early May. See, our issue is we have
- 4:21Speaker 1: to go with the school calendar. Mm-hmm. So we have
- 4:23Speaker 1: to make sure, okay, Naomi's on spring break then. Right.
- 4:26Speaker 1: So that's why we book way ahead because we know
- 4:28Speaker 1: we can because we know that week will be open.
- 4:30Speaker 2: I'll try and line up with you.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Yes.
- 4:32Speaker 2: I'll tell Eric. We'll try and plan our trip around
- 4:34Speaker 2: the same time.
- 4:34Speaker 1: You want to call Jack and Nina Del Rio right
- 4:36Speaker 1: now live on air and tell them.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Just let them know. And could Coco be our travel agent?
- 4:39Speaker 1: Yes.
- 4:40Speaker 2: There we go.
- 4:40Speaker 1: She's for hire. Okay. We're coming right back. Light FM.
