- 0:13Speaker 2: It's chris.
- 0:17Speaker 3: X radio chris x radio.
- 0:20Speaker 4: What we need right now is a clear message to
- 0:23Speaker 4: the people of this country. This message must be read
- 0:26Speaker 4: in every newspaper, heard on every radio, seen on every television.
- 0:30Speaker 4: This message must resound throughout the entire interlink.
- 0:34Speaker 5: And now, your host. I believe this is going to
- 0:36Speaker 5: be our finest hour.
- 0:37Speaker 6: Chris X.
- 0:58Speaker 5: Oh, man.
- 0:59Speaker 7: It is on.
- 1:00Speaker 1: It is on. Not just us.
- 1:03Speaker 8: It.
- 1:05Speaker 1: As in the GOP convention in Dallas. Good afternoon and
- 1:09Speaker 1: welcome to Chris X Radio. I am the aforementioned X-Man.
- 1:12Speaker 1: We have assumed control of the airwaves. We will maintain
- 1:16Speaker 1: control of these airwaves for the next two hours as,
- 1:19Speaker 1: of course, we come bearing that gift beyond price that
- 1:22Speaker 1: is almost free, ladies and gentlemen. We bring you the
- 1:24Speaker 1: spirit of talk radio, and boy, do we got a
- 1:27Speaker 1: lot to get into today. Got a couple of guests
- 1:29Speaker 1: joining us. Here at the bottom of the hour, we'll
- 1:32Speaker 1: catch up with Ron Reeder. He is the host of
- 1:34Speaker 1: Ron Reeder Digs the Universe, something probably a little different
- 1:38Speaker 1: than what the vast majority of our listeners would partake in,
- 1:41Speaker 1: but I know there are some that would enjoy it. Anyway,
- 1:43Speaker 1: I've known Ron since elementary school, and I haven't talked
- 1:47Speaker 1: to him in about 45, 50 years. So we'll talk
- 1:50Speaker 1: to him, but kicking things off live from the GOP convention,
- 1:55Speaker 1: Here in Dallas, the first ever midterm convention taking place.
- 1:59Speaker 1: President Trump's going to be speaking tonight and tomorrow night.
- 2:02Speaker 1: And there is a myriad of people speaking and stuff
- 2:06Speaker 1: going on. And our good friend, Matt Locke, the voice
- 2:09Speaker 1: of DFW, host of the 9 to 11 a.m. show
- 2:12Speaker 1: on WBAP out of Dallas, joins us here live from
- 2:17Speaker 1: the GOP convention in Dallas. And we're going to kick
- 2:20Speaker 1: things off with him. Matt, thanks for joining us here. Man,
- 2:22Speaker 1: you're in the belly of the beast as we speak.
- 2:27Speaker 9: I sure am. And I'm trying to find a quiet
- 2:29Speaker 9: corner in here. But Chris, 20,000 of our closest friends
- 2:32Speaker 9: showed up and everybody I talked to bought their own ticket.
- 2:36Speaker 9: So I'm not sure how the narrative got pushed out
- 2:39Speaker 9: there that nobody was coming and no one was paying.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Sounds a little bit like the propaganda apparatus of the
- 2:47Speaker 1: lamestream cult of the Democrat Party pushing their narrative. So
- 2:51Speaker 1: what you're saying is there seems to be a few
- 2:53Speaker 1: people there and all of them seem to have purchased tickets. Now,
- 2:56Speaker 1: I know you're media, so you you shouldn't have to
- 2:58Speaker 1: purchase your own tickets, but I also know you're very busy.
- 3:02Speaker 1: So but I'm glad you're there. Now, you did your
- 3:05Speaker 1: show earlier from there. But from what I've heard, you
- 3:07Speaker 1: guys are doing continuing broadcast and will be there till
- 3:09Speaker 1: like midnight tonight.
- 3:11Speaker 9: Yeah, I'm going back on the air in an hour
- 3:14Speaker 9: and we'll be on the air until midnight tonight. So
- 3:17Speaker 9: I've got a little bit of radio to do today,
- 3:18Speaker 9: but I'm always, I've always got time for my good buddy,
- 3:21Speaker 9: Chris X.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Well, this is true. Like I said, ever since we're
- 3:24Speaker 1: a couple of guys who hit it off pretty good
- 3:25Speaker 1: early on. And, man, we've stayed in touch and both
- 3:28Speaker 1: have made our way through this crazy universe we call media,
- 3:32Speaker 1: which it's a much bigger spectrum than it once was. And,
- 3:35Speaker 1: of course, that parlays into everything. So tell me, I
- 3:38Speaker 1: did tune into, I'm not going to lie, I listened
- 3:40Speaker 1: to a little bit of your show this morning. I
- 3:42Speaker 1: heard you interviewing Laura Logan. So I heard some of that,
- 3:45Speaker 1: but I didn't get to hear some of the other stuff.
- 3:48Speaker 1: I'm assuming you've had a few interviews. You'll be doing more,
- 3:51Speaker 1: and I imagine you'll probably have a bunch of interviews
- 3:53Speaker 1: this evening as well.
- 3:55Speaker 9: Yeah, there's just a ton of people here, and we're
- 3:57Speaker 9: talking to all kinds of folks, Chris. I mean, from,
- 4:00Speaker 9: you know, politicians, local, national, to everybody in between. I mean,
- 4:05Speaker 9: there's just such an, you know, there's an ecosystem here
- 4:10Speaker 9: with the Laura Logans, with the, you know, the H-1B visas,
- 4:13Speaker 9: with the Islam and the Muslims here just north of
- 4:16Speaker 9: Dallas and the things that we're paying attention to. There's
- 4:19Speaker 9: a lot to talk about with about, what, 54 days,
- 4:22Speaker 9: 53 days left till the midterm elections?
- 4:25Speaker 1: Yeah, it's right around the corner. It's getting here really fast.
- 4:28Speaker 1: So tell me, has the speakers started yet, or do
- 4:31Speaker 1: they start later this evening? What all has taken place
- 4:34Speaker 1: so far as things kick off here at the GOP
- 4:37Speaker 1: convention here in Dallas? By the way, this is a
- 4:40Speaker 1: one-of-a-kind event. This has never happened before, right before midterms,
- 4:44Speaker 1: but this may become the regular thing if it ends
- 4:47Speaker 1: up being very successful.
- 4:49Speaker 9: Well, they opened the doors at 3 o'clock, and they
- 4:52Speaker 9: started speaking just about, probably about half an hour ago. And,
- 4:56Speaker 9: you know, as any good prize fight UFC match, we've
- 5:00Speaker 9: got the undercards going right now. You've got, you know,
- 5:03Speaker 9: the politicians who are vying for local, state, even, you know,
- 5:08Speaker 9: federal-type offices who are now speaking. I think Ana Luna
- 5:12Speaker 9: Paulina just spoke. I mean, you've got some big hitters
- 5:15Speaker 9: here that are getting out the message. I mean, the
- 5:17Speaker 9: speaker lineup, is unbelievable for both these days. I mean,
- 5:21Speaker 9: they're going to have somewhere north of 160 speakers in
- 5:26Speaker 9: the next two days.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Yeah, the speakers. I was looking at the list when
- 5:31Speaker 1: it was first brought out. And you're right. I mean,
- 5:33Speaker 1: you've got the president, the vice president, speaker of the House,
- 5:36Speaker 1: Ken Paxton, Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick will be there. I
- 5:39Speaker 1: know you just interviewed him last. Was it last week
- 5:42Speaker 1: or earlier this week? No, I guess it was last week.
- 5:44Speaker 1: And so there, like I said, basically everyone involved, the governor. Sorry,
- 5:49Speaker 1: don't want to. I missed the governor. I'm assuming I
- 5:52Speaker 1: think he's on the list as well. But as you mentioned,
- 5:54Speaker 1: there's a ton of people. And this is something that
- 5:57Speaker 1: could really I guess I've noticed here in Houston. We're
- 6:00Speaker 1: still seeing plenty of the Tallarico ads, but we're starting
- 6:04Speaker 1: to see the Ken Paxton ads now playing to offset
- 6:07Speaker 1: that a little bit. And I know that Ken Paxton
- 6:09Speaker 1: will be speaking as well. Are you seeing any momentum
- 6:12Speaker 1: so far since you've been there today?
- 6:15Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 6:15Speaker 9: I mean, if you're paying attention, Chris, which I know
- 6:17Speaker 9: you do, we're watching these polls are starting to shift, right?
- 6:21Speaker 9: I mean, Ken Paxton didn't spend any money until about
- 6:24Speaker 9: a week ago. And so you had Tallarico burning up
- 6:27Speaker 9: the airwaves, trying to debate his own positions against himself.
- 6:32Speaker 9: And now that Trump has came in with his PAC,
- 6:35Speaker 9: Elon came in with his PAC, there's money flowing and
- 6:39Speaker 9: Ken Paxton ads are everywhere. He's starting to get a
- 6:41Speaker 9: ton of momentum, which is showing in the polls. I
- 6:44Speaker 9: saw a poll this morning. I think Paxton's up three
- 6:47Speaker 9: or four points. And as you and I both know,
- 6:49Speaker 9: Governor Abbott is going to do very well. And I
- 6:52Speaker 9: think Ken Paxton rides that wave.
- 6:56Speaker 1: You know, listening to the lieutenant governor and him talking about,
- 7:00Speaker 1: you know, like I said, historically, we know the way
- 7:02Speaker 1: things go here in Texas tends to lean towards the Republicans.
- 7:05Speaker 1: But there's an upswell, I guess, from not necessarily the
- 7:09Speaker 1: Democrat side, but those that are upset with Republicans because
- 7:13Speaker 1: of high gas prices and whatever else. So the Democrats
- 7:16Speaker 1: have a bit of momentum. And especially when you're leaning towards,
- 7:20Speaker 1: you know, an open seat now for the U.S. Senate
- 7:23Speaker 1: here in Texas, that opens a door and makes things easier.
- 7:25Speaker 1: a whole lot more competitive, which I think fired up
- 7:28Speaker 1: the base on the Democrat Party and have got in,
- 7:31Speaker 1: once again, $ 100 million. And that's what we're looking at
- 7:34Speaker 1: they're having to spend. I know that the president has
- 7:36Speaker 1: already dropped about $ 10 or $ 12 million in the Paxton race,
- 7:40Speaker 1: and then now we've got ads coming out. from Elon
- 7:42Speaker 1: Musk's PAC, so we will talk about that here later
- 7:44Speaker 1: in the program. So it looks like basically the counter-programming
- 7:49Speaker 1: has finally started, so now we're getting a case in.
- 7:52Speaker 1: And you nailed it, and I guess you've been following
- 7:55Speaker 1: and paying attention the way I have been, is James
- 7:58Speaker 1: Tallarico is basically running a campaign against himself, against everything
- 8:02Speaker 1: that he said and the way that he has voted
- 8:04Speaker 1: for the last six, eight years that he's been, quote,
- 8:07Speaker 1: in the Texas House, of course, and public eye.
- 8:09Speaker 10: So....
- 8:11Speaker 1: I guess it's up to the Republicans to expose him
- 8:13Speaker 1: for what he truly is, that he is not the
- 8:16Speaker 1: moderate that he portrays himself in these commercials.
- 8:20Speaker 9: No, and we all see that. Obviously, Chris, we're already
- 8:23Speaker 9: baked into the pie. But I know that Tallarico was
- 8:26Speaker 9: sitting down with Fox News. I saw that come across
- 8:29Speaker 9: my feed today. He's trying hard to portray himself as
- 8:34Speaker 9: something he's not. And I'll tell you what I really
- 8:37Speaker 9: like about what Republicans are currently doing. They're finally starting
- 8:40Speaker 9: to make the case of why to Not that the
- 8:43Speaker 9: Democrats are crazy, because we know that. Not that the
- 8:46Speaker 9: Democrats are bad. But why should you vote for me?
- 8:49Speaker 9: And I think that goes a lot farther in retail
- 8:52Speaker 9: politics than just saying your opponent sucks. You know, you
- 8:55Speaker 9: want to tell people what you'll do for them. And
- 8:57Speaker 9: we're starting to see more and more of those ads.
- 9:00Speaker 1: We're talking with Matt Locke. He's the voice of DFW,
- 9:02Speaker 1: the host of the 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. show
- 9:05Speaker 1: on WBAP in Dallas. He is live at the Texas
- 9:09Speaker 1: GOP convention. It's I'm sorry, the GOP convention here in Texas,
- 9:13Speaker 1: which is in Dallas, which is right over there by
- 9:16Speaker 1: where you guys broadcast. And you're going to like said,
- 9:19Speaker 1: you've got an early show from 9 to 11 a.m. weekdays.
- 9:22Speaker 1: on 820 a.m wbap so you're there doing your program
- 9:25Speaker 1: live in the morning but then you're sticking around all
- 9:28Speaker 1: afternoon going on the afternoon show and then you guys
- 9:30Speaker 1: are staying and broadcasting until are you really staying there
- 9:33Speaker 1: until midnight tonight.
- 9:35Speaker 9: Uh yeah i got here at 6 30 this morning
- 9:37Speaker 9: took me an hour to get through secret service and
- 9:40Speaker 9: i'll be here to midnight tonight i'm going to do
- 9:42Speaker 9: that again tomorrow chris so who needs sleep when you're
- 9:45Speaker 9: in radio right.
- 9:48Speaker 1: You know, this reminds me, first of all, yeah, nobody
- 9:52Speaker 1: gets to sleep in radio, so there's that. But this
- 9:55Speaker 1: reminds me of a few years back when you went
- 9:59Speaker 1: to work for one of the television networks and you
- 10:01Speaker 1: were going around and covering the Trump rallies. And you
- 10:04Speaker 1: went all over the country covering these Trump rallies. In fact,
- 10:07Speaker 1: you've probably been to as many, if not more than
- 10:09Speaker 1: anyone other than the president himself. Is this starting to
- 10:12Speaker 1: feel like a Trumpapalooza, as they're calling it? Is it
- 10:15Speaker 1: starting to feel like a Trump rally? Or does this
- 10:18Speaker 1: seem just like the... They try to get the base
- 10:20Speaker 1: out and vote.
- 10:22Speaker 9: Well, no, you're absolutely correct. I had a little bit
- 10:24Speaker 9: of deja vu this morning when I got out of
- 10:27Speaker 9: bed to come here because you're right. I've covered all
- 10:29Speaker 9: of these Trump rallies. And I'm going to tell you, Chris,
- 10:32Speaker 9: this is unbelievable. And it's got the same feel. President
- 10:36Speaker 9: Trump is P.T.
- 10:37Speaker 11: Barnum.
- 10:37Speaker 9: He is the leader of the circus. He knows exactly
- 10:40Speaker 9: how to get the people fired up. It is brilliant,
- 10:43Speaker 9: I think, on the part of the Republican Party, because
- 10:45Speaker 9: you and I both know that in these midterm elections, Republicans,
- 10:49Speaker 9: they like not to show up. Trump's not on the ballot.
- 10:51Speaker 9: We know when Trump's on the ballot, they show up.
- 10:54Speaker 9: So what is President Trump doing? He's impromptu putting himself out.
- 10:59Speaker 9: kind of on the ballot. So it's a great strategy.
- 11:02Speaker 9: I think it feels just like all these rallies. I mean,
- 11:05Speaker 9: people are wearing merchandise, make America great again, red hats.
- 11:08Speaker 9: I mean, it's the same thing. I swear to God,
- 11:11Speaker 9: I went back in a time loop.
- 11:14Speaker 1: It's kind of funny because, like I said, I remember
- 11:15Speaker 1: you doing that. And then, of course, we met a
- 11:18Speaker 1: few different times at the CPACs they were doing up in,
- 11:21Speaker 1: what is it, National Harbor up there in D.C. So
- 11:24Speaker 1: you have been around the president and seen many, many
- 11:26Speaker 1: of his events. And this is, once again, sort of
- 11:29Speaker 1: falls right in line. I also understand the security aspect
- 11:32Speaker 1: of it when the president is there. I remember how
- 11:34Speaker 1: tight it was before they started trying to murder him.
- 11:37Speaker 1: And then now that they tried to murder him at
- 11:38Speaker 1: least two or three or four or 10 times or whatever,
- 11:40Speaker 1: I can imagine how locked down it is. And something
- 11:43Speaker 1: that you and I were having a conversation about, I guess,
- 11:45Speaker 1: was it last week or earlier this week is that, uh,
- 11:49Speaker 1: Dallas can't afford to have another president killed under their watch.
- 11:53Speaker 1: So everything is indoors and hopefully security is good and
- 11:56Speaker 1: tight and keeping the president and everybody there.
- 11:59Speaker 9: I'm on the phone. Sorry, dude. People keep thinking I
- 12:02Speaker 9: work somewhere because they keep asking me for directions. Sorry, but, uh, Yes.
- 12:07Speaker 9: So there are lots of balconies outside. There are high-rise
- 12:10Speaker 9: buildings in downtown Dallas. So, I mean, it's a logistical
- 12:14Speaker 9: nightmare for security for all these buildings around the AAC,
- 12:18Speaker 9: the American Airlines Center. So everything is inside. Everything is
- 12:22Speaker 9: locked down. I've got four different badges, Chris, just to
- 12:25Speaker 9: get into the place, get to places I need to
- 12:27Speaker 9: go and be on Radio Row. So, look, I mean,
- 12:30Speaker 9: we live in that time. We live in a time
- 12:32Speaker 9: now where you said Dallas doesn't have a great track
- 12:35Speaker 9: record with presidents. And we probably don't need Trump to
- 12:38Speaker 9: be another significant stop on that train.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Boy, I couldn't agree with that more. I don't want
- 12:44Speaker 1: any president assassinated, even with the ones I don't like.
- 12:47Speaker 1: But I especially don't want Donald Trump assassinated. Oddly enough,
- 12:51Speaker 1: the other side, you know, they tend to disagree with
- 12:53Speaker 1: that for some reason. They've gotten in the business of
- 12:55Speaker 1: opposition and silencing opposition. And I don't think that bodes
- 12:59Speaker 1: well for anyone.
- 13:00Speaker 9: All right.
- 13:00Speaker 1: We're talking with Matt Locke, the voice of DFW, host
- 13:02Speaker 1: of the 9 to 9 to 11 a.m. show on
- 13:05Speaker 1: WBAP in Dallas. He is live at the GOP convention
- 13:09Speaker 1: here in Dallas, Texas. Once again, so you're going to
- 13:11Speaker 1: be there for the speeches. Now, are you going to
- 13:13Speaker 1: get to watch any of the speeches this evening or
- 13:16Speaker 1: are you going to be strictly broadcasting live and then
- 13:19Speaker 1: covering it and interviewing people?
- 13:22Speaker 9: No, we are going to take a lot of these
- 13:24Speaker 9: speeches live to the radio. I mean, come on, we're
- 13:26Speaker 9: the ears for the people that can't watch TV, who
- 13:29Speaker 9: are driving into cars and all that stuff. So we're
- 13:31Speaker 9: going to take a lot of these speeches live from
- 13:34Speaker 9: our feed. So it won't be, you know how this goes, Chris.
- 13:36Speaker 9: It won't be too bad. We're going to be interviewing people.
- 13:39Speaker 9: We'll be listening to speeches. We got a TV right
- 13:41Speaker 9: in front of our booth so we can see what's
- 13:43Speaker 9: going on. who's speaking, all of that stuff. So it's
- 13:45Speaker 9: going to be a little hybrid of talking to people,
- 13:48Speaker 9: listening to speeches, being at the convention and just enjoying,
- 13:52Speaker 9: you know, all of the people that, you know, Chris,
- 13:55Speaker 9: it's amazing when conservatives get together. It's a really nice
- 13:59Speaker 9: get together. People are happy, friendly, shaking your hand, coming
- 14:02Speaker 9: up to you, you know, just having conversations. I can't
- 14:05Speaker 9: imagine what the Democrat dimensions look like.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Well, I don't know what they look like, but I
- 14:10Speaker 1: know you've got a present ID to get into them,
- 14:12Speaker 1: which is kind of ironic. You know, it's funny, I guess,
- 14:15Speaker 1: before I let you go, because I know you're busy
- 14:17Speaker 1: and I appreciate your time. We went to a CPAC.
- 14:20Speaker 1: At one point in time, you and I were doing
- 14:22Speaker 1: a syndicated program, and we were at CPAC. And right
- 14:26Speaker 1: when we were broadcasting our show, the president went to speak.
- 14:29Speaker 1: And I remember jumping up and leaving you by yourself
- 14:31Speaker 1: during the show. And I ran and snuck in and
- 14:33Speaker 1: got to watch and videotape the president a little bit.
- 14:36Speaker 1: And that was a lot of fun. I'm assuming you're
- 14:38Speaker 1: not going to have that luxury tonight. And also, if
- 14:42Speaker 1: I'm not mistaken, I think the president is going on live,
- 14:44Speaker 1: I guess, 10 p.m. Eastern or is it 9 p.m.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Eastern is when he is scheduled to speak.
- 14:50Speaker 9: Yeah, the president's going to speak at 9 p.m. Eastern,
- 14:53Speaker 9: 8 Central. So it'll be a little bit earlier for us.
- 14:57Speaker 9: But no, I'm not going to have the ability to
- 14:59Speaker 9: get up and leave the booth and go watch Trump.
- 15:01Speaker 9: So I'm going to have to watch it on the
- 15:03Speaker 9: TV and listen to it with the rest of the
- 15:05Speaker 9: listeners of WBAP.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Okay, well, that's probably good to keep you near the microphone.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Like I said, I've called you the mouth of the South,
- 15:11Speaker 1: and you always do a fine job. I appreciate you
- 15:13Speaker 1: keeping us updated on what's going on. If anything crazy happens,
- 15:16Speaker 1: we may reach out and get you back on tomorrow
- 15:17Speaker 1: for our Friday show on Thursday if we get any
- 15:20Speaker 1: good stuff. But have a good time. Be safe up there.
- 15:23Speaker 1: And thank you so much for keeping us posted on
- 15:24Speaker 1: what's going on at the GOP convention.
- 15:27Speaker 9: Always, my friend. And you have my phone number. Call anytime.
- 15:30Speaker 1: All right, we absolutely will do. Once again, Matt Locke,
- 15:32Speaker 1: he is what I call the voice of DFW. He
- 15:35Speaker 1: is the host from the 9 to 11 a.m. weekday
- 15:37Speaker 1: show on 820 a.m. WBAP, the blowtorch up in Dallas.
- 15:42Speaker 1: If you're anywhere remotely near Dallas-Fort Worth, you can pick
- 15:45Speaker 1: that signal up. When I drive up to the Hill Country,
- 15:48Speaker 1: I'll tune in and listen to Matt's show while I'm
- 15:51Speaker 1: driving up. I'm heading back over through Austin. that area
- 15:54Speaker 1: heading up towards Mason. So anyway, he is live at
- 15:57Speaker 1: the GOP convention here in Dallas, Texas. Well, in Dallas,
- 16:01Speaker 1: a little north of us here. All right, let's take
- 16:03Speaker 1: a short break. We'll come back. Coming up at the
- 16:05Speaker 1: bottom of the hour, I mentioned the other side and
- 16:09Speaker 1: that they're not as friendly and they've taken to violence.
- 16:13Speaker 1: And we've seen a lot of this. Well, there's somebody
- 16:16Speaker 1: that you were going to catch up with at the
- 16:17Speaker 1: bottom half of the hour. His name is Ron Reeder.
- 16:19Speaker 1: He's a guy I went to school with and played
- 16:22Speaker 1: Little League with. Well, he's on the opposite end of
- 16:24Speaker 1: the political spectrum, but he's always been very kind and
- 16:28Speaker 1: said nothing but kind things about my show, even though
- 16:29Speaker 1: I know he doesn't like it at all. And he's actually,
- 16:33Speaker 1: you know, even stood up when other people attacked him
- 16:36Speaker 1: for mentioning me and not mentioning it with vitriol and hate.
- 16:39Speaker 1: So he believes in something called freedom of speech, and
- 16:41Speaker 1: we'll talk to that. He also hosts a show on
- 16:44Speaker 1: YouTube called Ron Reeder Digs the Universe. So we'll catch
- 16:47Speaker 1: up with him right at the bottom of the hour.
- 16:48Speaker 1: We've got one segment in between. Don't you go anywhere.
- 16:51Speaker 1: You're listening to Chris X Radio, and we'll be right back.

- 20:10Speaker 1: Chris X Radio.
- 20:11Speaker 6: Chris X Radio.
- 20:16Speaker 12: Man, do you remember.
- 20:27Speaker 1: When the world was afraid of Americans? And then Barack
- 20:31Speaker 1: Obama and Joe Biden came along and they weren't as
- 20:33Speaker 1: afraid of Americans. And then Trump came back and it
- 20:40Speaker 1: was so funny. I saw people posting online. Donald Trump
- 20:44Speaker 1: has ran the debt up so much in his two terms.
- 20:46Speaker 1: I'm like, well, hold on. First of all, he has
- 20:49Speaker 1: run the debt up. Second of all, it's not anything
- 20:51Speaker 1: close to what they're claiming because we had, unfortunately, an
- 20:55Speaker 1: interruption between the Trump two terms of a president houseplant,
- 21:00Speaker 1: President Joe Biden, who, once again, what did he do?
- 21:04Speaker 1: You can't ignore that fact. But then again, you're talking politics.
- 21:10Speaker 12: All right.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Welcome back to Chris X Radio. I'm the aforementioned X-Man.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Glad to have you here with us. Man, the GOP
- 21:16Speaker 1: convention in Dallas has kicked off officially. They're rocking and rolling.
- 21:20Speaker 1: We just spoke with Matt Locke, the host of the
- 21:21Speaker 1: 9 to 11 a.m. show on WBAP in Dallas. He's
- 21:24Speaker 1: up there live. He's going to be there until, what,
- 21:27Speaker 1: midnight tonight? Dear Lord, this is this reminds me back
- 21:31Speaker 1: when he was covering those Trump rallies and when he
- 21:33Speaker 1: was those longtime listeners of Chris X radio. Remember, because
- 21:38Speaker 1: I talked to him live from those Trump rallies. So
- 21:41Speaker 1: he covered a bunch of them. So and it's kind
- 21:44Speaker 1: of like he's doing it again. And from what there's
- 21:46Speaker 1: a supposedly there's going to be some sort of an
- 21:49Speaker 1: announcement tomorrow. And that'll be course after our show. So
- 21:52Speaker 1: we can't get that from him unless he Trump spills
- 21:55Speaker 1: the beans tonight. But I'm thinking it's going to be
- 21:58Speaker 1: that Trump is going to be doing these rallies again
- 22:01Speaker 1: for the next month or month through October going into November.
- 22:05Speaker 1: He's going to be doing those rallies, try to fire
- 22:07Speaker 1: up the base. The base has definitely been depressed. So
- 22:11Speaker 1: to get them fired up again and with gas prices
- 22:14Speaker 1: popping up, there you go. Actually, I've got a few
- 22:17Speaker 1: things we're going to talk about here. By the way,
- 22:19Speaker 1: we'll catch up with Ron Reeder here on the other
- 22:21Speaker 1: side of the break. So stick around. We'll talk to
- 22:23Speaker 1: him later. Here at the next segment. But so today,
- 22:27Speaker 1: after we talk with Ron, I want to get these
- 22:29Speaker 1: three anthropic researchers are now warning that AI systems and
- 22:34Speaker 1: their industry is racing. Their industry is racing to build
- 22:37Speaker 1: could wipe out humanity before the decade is over. Does
- 22:41Speaker 1: anybody really believe that? So I'll get to that. Oil
- 22:45Speaker 1: climbed above one hundred dollars a barrel, the highest it's
- 22:48Speaker 1: been since May. So we'll talk about that. Humper Biden
- 22:52Speaker 1: has launched a slap top. Well, instead of an S,
- 22:56Speaker 1: it's the dollar sign. A meme cryptocurrency that promptly crashed
- 23:00Speaker 1: 98% in one hour. So Humper Biden's still going and
- 23:03Speaker 1: playing people and.
- 23:09Speaker 1: And I mentioned the GOP convention is kicked off today.
- 23:13Speaker 1: We can get into that. Also, Elon Musk's America Pack
- 23:17Speaker 1: has launched a barrage of new ads targeting the Democrat
- 23:20Speaker 1: Senate candidates in four of the most competitive races using
- 23:24Speaker 1: the hot-button topic of biological men competing in women's sports.
- 23:29Speaker 1: And I did see a clip, which, by the way,
- 23:30Speaker 1: I was going to clip some of James Tallarico's Fox
- 23:33Speaker 1: News interview today, the clips, but I haven't been able
- 23:36Speaker 1: to get it. So I haven't found it yet. But
- 23:39Speaker 1: if I find it during the show, I'll clip it
- 23:41Speaker 1: and play some of those clips for you. But we
- 23:43Speaker 1: need to go ahead and take a break, and then
- 23:44Speaker 1: we'll come back and catch up with a guy I
- 23:47Speaker 1: basically grew up with. We went to elementary school. I
- 23:50Speaker 1: think we took a break during middle school. He went
- 23:53Speaker 1: to one, I went to another, and then we were
- 23:54Speaker 1: back together in high school. He currently hosts a program
- 23:58Speaker 1: on YouTube called Ron Reader Digs the Universe. Now, it
- 24:01Speaker 1: is very politically antithetical to what we do here. But
- 24:06Speaker 1: when people, you know, they brought up me, I guess,
- 24:09Speaker 1: because it's funny. I remember in school, I think he
- 24:11Speaker 1: was a little more conservative. Well, we'll catch up with
- 24:14Speaker 1: Ron Reeder here on the other side of the break.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Don't you go anywhere. You're listening to Chris X Radio.
- 24:22Speaker 6: The revolution continues after this. Chris X Radio.
- 24:27Speaker 9: Chris X.

- 25:30Speaker 18: or dignity.

- 26:24Speaker 20: possible during your retirement years. That's each Sunday at 9 a.m.
- 26:28Speaker 20: right here on AM700 KSCV.
- 26:30Speaker 21: Do you need money? Want to lower your monthly debt?
- 26:33Speaker 21: Are you thinking about a cash-out refinance? Hi, it's Kathy
- 26:37Speaker 21: from Baker Mortgage. A cash-out refinance can get you back
- 26:40Speaker 21: in your comfort zone, and that's what it's all about.
- 26:43Speaker 21: A recent client who closed with us had his payment
- 26:46Speaker 21: go up about $ 300, but his monthly outgo was being
- 26:50Speaker 21: reduced by $ 1, 200, so giving him a net positive cash
- 26:54Speaker 21: flow of $ 900. It's not about adding debt, but restructuring
- 26:58Speaker 21: it in a way that makes sense. And this math
- 27:01Speaker 21: totally makes sense. And please don't sweat it if your
- 27:04Speaker 21: interest rate is going up a little or if you're
- 27:06Speaker 21: extending the term. I can show you by taking a
- 27:09Speaker 21: small amount of what you're saving monthly and applying it
- 27:12Speaker 21: towards your mortgage, you're going to pay it off just
- 27:14Speaker 21: as quickly and you'll be way ahead in the money game,
- 27:17Speaker 21: which is where we all want to be, right? Remember,

- 27:32Speaker 22: From the KSEV Weather Center, tonight expect partly cloudy skies
- 27:36Speaker 22: with high humidity levels. There is a chance of a
- 27:38Speaker 22: thundershower in some areas as we approach dawn with a
- 27:40Speaker 22: low temperature of 76 degrees. Tomorrow brings a mix of
- 27:43Speaker 22: sunshine and clouds with continued humidity and the possibility of
- 27:47Speaker 22: a thunderstorm. The high will reach 92 degrees. Tomorrow night,
- 27:51Speaker 22: anticipate the chance of a thunderstorm in the evening. Otherwise,
- 27:53Speaker 22: it will be partly cloudy and humid with a low
- 27:55Speaker 22: of 75 degrees. Looking ahead to Friday, we can expect
- 27:59Speaker 22: partly sunny skies with humidity still lingering. In the afternoon
- 28:02Speaker 22: and evening, there may be isolated thunderstorms in some areas
- 28:05Speaker 22: with a high temperature of 95 degrees. With the KSCV
- 28:08Speaker 22: Weather Center forecast, I'm AccuWeather meteorologist Jason Catarina.
- 28:11Speaker 1: And now, back to Chris X Radio.
- 28:14Speaker 5: Chris X Radio.
- 28:15Speaker 6: On the voice of Texas.
- 28:34Speaker 1: Welcome back to Chris X Radio. I am the aforementioned X-Man.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Glad to have you here with us as we are
- 28:39Speaker 1: rocking and rolling here through the work week. It's hump day.
- 28:43Speaker 1: We're halfway through the work week. And it is time
- 28:45Speaker 1: to catch up with a guest that I've been talking
- 28:47Speaker 1: about here on the program here. I talked a couple
- 28:49Speaker 1: weeks ago. It is a guy that I went to
- 28:51Speaker 1: school with. We played Little League together. He's a real
- 28:54Speaker 1: nice guy. I remember him from school, elementary school. We
- 28:58Speaker 1: may have broke during middle school. I'll ask him about it.
- 29:00Speaker 1: But then high school together, and then he went off,
- 29:02Speaker 1: and I think he's an actor. He's done a whole lot.
- 29:05Speaker 1: He is currently a host of a program on YouTube
- 29:08Speaker 1: called Ron Reader Digs the Universe, and he's been kind
- 29:11Speaker 1: enough to join us here on the program this afternoon. Hey, Ron,
- 29:14Speaker 1: thanks for being here today. Good to catch up with you.
- 29:16Speaker 23: Hi, it's good to be here.
- 29:18Speaker 9: Good to be here.
- 29:19Speaker 23: Thank you for having me on.
- 29:21Speaker 1: Well, I'm glad to get you on the program. Some
- 29:23Speaker 1: interesting stuff occurs now. I know for those, I have
- 29:27Speaker 1: some very conservative listeners, but I also have a few
- 29:29Speaker 1: liberal listeners that like to engage and argue with me.
- 29:32Speaker 1: From what I've seen from your program, Ron Reeder Digs
- 29:36Speaker 1: the Universe, which by the way is one of the
- 29:38Speaker 1: coolest names of a show that Thank you. So it's
- 29:42Speaker 1: very cool. But you tend to be from the other
- 29:44Speaker 1: side of the political spectrum, and I've seen that there
- 29:46Speaker 1: are some people that we knew that we went to
- 29:48Speaker 1: school with and others that you've been nothing but complimentary
- 29:51Speaker 1: towards me and my show, and I really appreciate that.
- 29:54Speaker 1: So I'm glad to thank you personally for that, even
- 29:56Speaker 1: though I know you probably don't dig what we're doing here.
- 29:59Speaker 1: But that being said, you've always defended my right to
- 30:02Speaker 1: do it, and I want to make sure that I
- 30:04Speaker 1: give you the opportunity to come on and defend your
- 30:06Speaker 1: right as well. So I appreciate it. I think we're
- 30:08Speaker 1: both big fans of free speech, right?
- 30:11Speaker 23: Definitely. That is something that makes us uniquely American. And
- 30:15Speaker 23: I got to add on to that, that it's, you know,
- 30:19Speaker 23: I come from a conservative family. I've got Trump supporters
- 30:24Speaker 23: that are conservative and conservative, never Trumpers. And it's, you know,
- 30:30Speaker 23: we're Americans, you know, we're friends, family. And the way
- 30:34Speaker 23: that we just all continue to humanize each other is,
- 30:37Speaker 23: you know, it's just a glass.
- 30:45Speaker 1: No, you're absolutely correct. But we've gotten I think it's
- 30:49Speaker 1: back to a time. I know there was a time
- 30:50Speaker 1: in the past where things were very polarized and people
- 30:53Speaker 1: were walking it off 21 paces and shooting each other.
- 30:56Speaker 1: And we seem to be heading that direction with the
- 30:58Speaker 1: political discourse. It's gotten very violent and very extreme. And
- 31:01Speaker 1: I know you get attacked for your politics all the
- 31:04Speaker 1: time because I see people that will do it, you know,
- 31:06Speaker 1: on social media and stuff. And I've never been one
- 31:09Speaker 1: to attack you for your politics because I remember you,
- 31:12Speaker 1: first of all, in elementary school. We played Little League together.
- 31:15Speaker 1: Did we play on the Yankees? Do you remember which
- 31:17Speaker 1: team we played together on?
- 31:18Speaker 23: Oh, I was on a Yankees Little League team, and
- 31:22Speaker 23: that must have been it. Yeah, yeah. I was in
- 31:27Speaker 23: the third or fourth grade.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't remember. I know we were little kids
- 31:32Speaker 1: and we did real well. So you were the sleeper.
- 31:34Speaker 1: You were the guy apparently was the secret weapon that
- 31:36Speaker 1: we had, I believe.
- 31:37Speaker 23: All right. I'll be outfield.
- 31:40Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly. But we went to elementary school today. And then,
- 31:45Speaker 1: of course, we went to high school together. If I
- 31:47Speaker 1: remember correctly, you were on student council. And as you mentioned,
- 31:50Speaker 1: you come from a conservative family. Were you more conservative
- 31:54Speaker 1: in high school or am I misremembering that?
- 31:57Speaker 23: No, I considered myself a Republican in high school. The
- 32:01Speaker 23: thing you got to remember, though, is that the two sides,
- 32:06Speaker 23: liberal and conservative, were a lot closer back in those
- 32:11Speaker 23: days than they are today. You know, it's a lot
- 32:14Speaker 23: less of the demonizing of individuals on either side. You know,
- 32:20Speaker 23: it's like, yeah, liberals can complain about conservatives and vice versa,
- 32:24Speaker 23: but it's like, At that time, you know, in the
- 32:28Speaker 23: late 70s, early 80s, we were all still Americans together.
- 32:32Speaker 23: And so when I eventually sort of left the conservative
- 32:37Speaker 23: way of thinking and moved over to liberalism, it was
- 32:39Speaker 23: a lot easier to do than I think it would
- 32:41Speaker 23: be now.
- 32:43Speaker 1: Yeah, that's you're right. It's funny because a lot of people,
- 32:46Speaker 1: unless you've lived through the 70s and 80s like we
- 32:48Speaker 1: did and we were kids in school, then people don't
- 32:51Speaker 1: quite realize that things weren't always so polarized. I remember
- 32:54Speaker 1: when we were kids and in school, nobody really cared
- 32:57Speaker 1: who was a Democrat or Republican.
- 32:58Speaker 24: You're right.
- 32:58Speaker 1: The parties were very similar. And it was, like I said,
- 33:01Speaker 1: there wasn't this division that we have now. And then,
- 33:04Speaker 1: like I said, since we graduated from high school, by
- 33:06Speaker 1: the way, this last month or the month before was
- 33:10Speaker 1: 40 years ago. Where did the time go, Ron? It's
- 33:13Speaker 1: been 45 years or so since I last talked to you.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Where did the time go?
- 33:17Speaker 23: I don't know, you know. It's just like you snap
- 33:21Speaker 23: your fingers and it's 20 years later, you know. So,
- 33:24Speaker 23: I don't know. It's a mystery to me that it's you.
- 33:29Speaker 1: It is. It is a mystery. And speaking of mysteries,
- 33:31Speaker 1: the universe is full of mysteries. And your YouTube program
- 33:35Speaker 1: is called Ron Reader Digs the Universe. Now, I love
- 33:38Speaker 1: the title of it. Like I said, I don't love
- 33:40Speaker 1: the politics. Of course, I know you don't love my politics.
- 33:43Speaker 1: But that being said, it's great seeing someone that I
- 33:45Speaker 1: went to school with and I am a big fan
- 33:47Speaker 1: of freedom of speech. Just like I know you are.
- 33:49Speaker 1: Tell the listeners a little bit about your program and
- 33:51Speaker 1: what exactly you cover and what led to you digging
- 33:54Speaker 1: the universe.
- 33:55Speaker 23: Yeah, sure. A lot of stuff comes into it. I
- 33:59Speaker 23: got to tell you that as a theater artist, you know,
- 34:01Speaker 23: that's my background. I studied as an undergraduate with theater,
- 34:06Speaker 23: and then I hung on as an undergraduate and studied radio, television, film.
- 34:11Speaker 23: Then after teaching high school theater for six years out
- 34:13Speaker 23: in Baytown, I went to LSU and got a Master
- 34:17Speaker 23: of Fine Arts in acting. And the whole time.
- 34:21Speaker 25: I have been.
- 34:22Speaker 23: trying to figure out what's the best way to put
- 34:27Speaker 23: all of the different parts of myself together in one
- 34:32Speaker 23: sort of theatrical performance, you know? And I'm a very
- 34:36Speaker 23: political person. I'm very much into music and the arts, film,
- 34:41Speaker 23: et cetera. And how do I put all that together?
- 34:46Speaker 23: And so I've been sort of experimenting for many, many.
- 34:48Speaker 3: Many years.
- 34:49Speaker 23: I had a blog at for a long time, and
- 34:52Speaker 23: just keep trying, you know, how do I put my songwriting,
- 34:56Speaker 23: you know, I'm still kind of out of tune, I've
- 34:58Speaker 23: been like that every now and then, but how do
- 35:01Speaker 23: I put that together with my films and acting, what's
- 35:03Speaker 23: the reviews, and I had a little project when I
- 35:06Speaker 23: was in graduate school, where I started, you know, live,
- 35:11Speaker 23: addressed the audience about some cultural issues I had in
- 35:16Speaker 23: live video feed and a couple of sound pieces from
- 35:19Speaker 23: myself on stage. And ultimately, you know, so that's sort
- 35:23Speaker 23: of lying there in the background. And Michael King from
- 35:27Speaker 23: high school, he's doing well as an actor out in
- 35:30Speaker 23: Los Angeles right now. He's suggesting my own YouTube show.
- 35:34Speaker 23: And so I did and put it together. I think
- 35:38Speaker 23: about five minutes or so once a week. And I
- 35:42Speaker 23: divide that up into clips. But five minutes or so
- 35:45Speaker 23: of just describing whatever topic I want to address, and
- 35:49Speaker 23: I try to do it from the point of view
- 35:51Speaker 23: of somebody who would study history and the arts and
- 35:55Speaker 23: culture and American civilization. So, you know, I script it myself.
- 36:02Speaker 23: I shoot it myself. I cut it together myself. You know,
- 36:07Speaker 23: it's a total wrong for your production. Speaking of the
- 36:11Speaker 23: universe part, at least for my having Being a jazz fan,
- 36:16Speaker 23: I've been profoundly affected by Jack Kerouac's book, On the Road.
- 36:21Speaker 23: They dig a lot of things, and I dig the universe.
- 36:25Speaker 23: So there you have it, you know, five minutes a
- 36:28Speaker 23: week from somebody who has studied American civilization from the
- 36:32Speaker 23: point of view of an artist.
- 36:35Speaker 1: You know, it's interesting, Ron, because we come from a
- 36:37Speaker 1: time where that sort of stuff was celebrated. And I
- 36:40Speaker 1: know one thing I do know about you is you
- 36:41Speaker 1: like a lot of good music. So that's cool that
- 36:44Speaker 1: you're able to incorporate that stuff in. And like I said,
- 36:46Speaker 1: we've always had that sort of thing in common. And
- 36:49Speaker 1: then you started doing your program, which is the great
- 36:50Speaker 1: thing about YouTube and now the podcast world. And there's
- 36:53Speaker 1: just so much going on that you can literally get out.
- 36:55Speaker 1: And as you said, you can do five minutes a
- 36:57Speaker 1: week or as often as you like. So that makes
- 37:00Speaker 1: it very entertaining for those who listen, who want to
- 37:02Speaker 1: go check it out. It is Ron Reeder digs the universe.
- 37:05Speaker 1: It is on YouTube. Do you post it on like
- 37:08Speaker 1: social media as well, like Twitter and Facebook and all
- 37:10Speaker 1: of that stuff as well?
- 37:12Speaker 23: You know, I've been a little lazy about it. I
- 37:16Speaker 23: don't really like self-promoting, but it's like I don't want
- 37:20Speaker 23: to be making a show that nobody's watching. I've got
- 37:22Speaker 23: a small subscriber base. I've got a TikTok account, but
- 37:28Speaker 23: they kept banning me, and I'm still not even sure why.
- 37:31Speaker 23: But it's like I cut up, you know, so no,
- 37:34Speaker 23: basically YouTube, I put some clips on Facebook, but I
- 37:38Speaker 23: need to promote myself better. But yeah, you find me
- 37:41Speaker 23: at YouTube and clips on Facebook.
- 37:43Speaker 1: Well, I guess I'm guilty of that, too. I should
- 37:46Speaker 1: promote myself better. Maybe we both need to hire a
- 37:49Speaker 1: hype man for both of us to to get things going. So, OK,
- 37:52Speaker 1: so it was interesting. I like to hear a little
- 37:54Speaker 1: bit about what you were telling me about your transition
- 37:56Speaker 1: from being more, you know, conservative Republican and then moving on.
- 38:00Speaker 1: You being in the actor world, the screenwriting and that
- 38:03Speaker 1: sort of stuff. Do you think that had a lot
- 38:05Speaker 1: to do with your transition or not really just happened
- 38:07Speaker 1: to be a just a natural evolution?
- 38:08Speaker 23: In part, you know, it's it's. You know, everyone is
- 38:14Speaker 23: a complicated individual, you know, and everybody becomes their political
- 38:19Speaker 23: self as a result of all kinds of experiences. You know,
- 38:23Speaker 23: the home that you grow up in, the school that
- 38:25Speaker 23: you went to, the people that you're surrounded by. So, yeah, definitely,
- 38:29Speaker 23: the arts is definitely a left-leaning field. But for me,
- 38:35Speaker 23: I think because I was a conservative on the Kingwood
- 38:39Speaker 23: High School debate team, You know, I criticize everyone in
- 38:45Speaker 23: America for not thinking deeply enough about our culture and
- 38:50Speaker 23: about our politics. And I sort of came at it
- 38:55Speaker 23: from a different point of view. You know, show me
- 38:57Speaker 23: the money, let me see. And the really big thing
- 39:01Speaker 23: in my life was when I studied television and film
- 39:06Speaker 23: and learning the techniques that professionals use to create stories,
- 39:13Speaker 23: and to manipulate emotions of the audience, right? And realizing
- 39:20Speaker 23: they're really, really good at what they do, and all
- 39:26Speaker 23: of these techniques, in addition to being used for moving people,
- 39:30Speaker 23: television shows, they use them for sports, broadcast sports, and
- 39:34Speaker 23: they use them for broadcast news. And so the long
- 39:40Speaker 23: and the short of all that is that basically if
- 39:43Speaker 23: we are watching our news on video screens, we are
- 39:48Speaker 23: being manipulated by basically professional content creators that know exactly
- 39:56Speaker 23: how to put a story together in a maximum effect
- 40:01Speaker 23: in terms of getting ratings and of manipulating our emotions.
- 40:05Speaker 23: Bottom line is, if you're watching your news, liberal or conservative,
- 40:12Speaker 23: you are not getting a really good picture. You're having
- 40:15Speaker 23: your feelings work, but you're not thinking deeply about it
- 40:20Speaker 23: versus saying, read me. You know, if you read, it's
- 40:24Speaker 23: a very contemplative process. You stop for a moment and
- 40:28Speaker 23: you're just like, what did he just say there? Let
- 40:30Speaker 23: me reread that. Think about it. Then you move on.
- 40:33Speaker 23: If you're watching it, it flows over you. You know,
- 40:37Speaker 23: and we're, America right now, we are all in that boat.
- 40:42Speaker 23: You know, so it's, you know, keep listening to Chris
- 40:45Speaker 23: X Keep watching Fox News as a sort of supplement.
- 40:50Speaker 23: But otherwise, read the Wall Street Journal. I'm not going
- 40:53Speaker 23: to tell you to read the New York Times because
- 40:56Speaker 23: I know how conservatives feel about the New York Times.
- 40:58Speaker 23: But the Wall Street Journal continues to have really good
- 41:02Speaker 23: conservative credentials. And they are, as far as reporting the
- 41:05Speaker 23: news goes, an excellent, excellent newspaper. And I would love
- 41:12Speaker 23: to hang out with conservatives who read the Wall Street Journal.
- 41:16Speaker 23: You know, as opposed to people that are just ready
- 41:18Speaker 23: to shake their fists and scream and yell at me.
- 41:20Speaker 23: You know what I'm saying?
- 41:22Speaker 1: You know, I think you just gave a very accurate...
- 41:25Speaker 1: and also sensible take on media, because you're absolutely right.
- 41:29Speaker 1: Anywhere you're consuming media, you're consuming bias, whether it's one
- 41:32Speaker 1: side or another. A lot of people don't quite understand that,
- 41:35Speaker 1: and you do, which I guess puts you in a
- 41:38Speaker 1: uniquely situation to where you see things more for what
- 41:42Speaker 1: it is. One of the things here, before we run
- 41:44Speaker 1: out of time, I wanted to ask you, now, I
- 41:46Speaker 1: know you've been, of course, attacked for your politics. Any
- 41:48Speaker 1: of us that are in the political arena, you get
- 41:50Speaker 1: attacked from one side or the other. Oftentimes, I'm attacked
- 41:52Speaker 1: by both. But oddly enough, once again, someone who's on
- 41:56Speaker 1: the opposite side of the political spectrum, you've never attacked me.
- 41:59Speaker 1: You've been nothing but complimentary. In fact, one of the quotes,
- 42:02Speaker 1: I guess, from one of your videos was, if you
- 42:06Speaker 1: can listen to conservative talk radio without getting your blood
- 42:08Speaker 1: pressure up, then tune in. So it was a very
- 42:11Speaker 1: nice thing that you said. It was great, and it
- 42:12Speaker 1: was accurate. I agree with it. I've seen you get,
- 42:15Speaker 1: first of all, attacked for your politics, but also attacked
- 42:18Speaker 1: by people on your side.
- 42:20Speaker 9: Some that we go to school with.
- 42:22Speaker 1: For not being a total jerk to me and attacking me.
- 42:24Speaker 1: And your response is always nothing but kindness. Do you
- 42:28Speaker 1: get often attacked for not only your politics, but even
- 42:30Speaker 1: when you defend someone for their freedom of speech?
- 42:34Speaker 23: Well, yeah, yeah, for sure. Here's a quick little story.
- 42:41Speaker 23: I know we're running out of time. I'm not a
- 42:45Speaker 23: Hillary fan. and you can pick your reasons for that.
- 42:49Speaker 23: But I think that Bill and Hillary led the Democratic
- 42:51Speaker 23: Party astray and from their roots. So when she was
- 42:55Speaker 23: running in 2016, I made a post saying that she
- 42:59Speaker 23: needs to deal with this email thing a little better, right?
- 43:04Speaker 23: I don't think there's anything there to it, but she's
- 43:07Speaker 23: just being pounded and she's acting all arrogant about it.
- 43:11Speaker 23: And I had all of my liberals, not all of them,
- 43:13Speaker 23: but a lot of them just like, pounding me. It's like, no, no, no.
- 43:19Speaker 23: It's like, no, those emails don't mean anything. I'm like, look,
- 43:22Speaker 23: it's a political reality. It's an issue. Deal with it.
- 43:26Speaker 23: And I felt like I was dealing with a liberal mob.
- 43:30Speaker 23: Another time I called Hillary Clinton a neoliberal, which it's Reaganomics,
- 43:36Speaker 23: conservative economics, tax cuts and deregulation. That's neoliberalism. It's an
- 43:41Speaker 23: actual thing. I called Hillary a neoliberal. And this guy's
- 43:45Speaker 23: just like, that's just an epithet. You know, and it's like, no,
- 43:50Speaker 23: you're not even qualified to be talking about this if
- 43:53Speaker 23: you don't know what a neoliberal is. You know, so
- 43:56Speaker 23: it's just, you know, I'm on the liberal side, but
- 44:00Speaker 23: I sometimes just have to sigh in despair about how uninformed,
- 44:07Speaker 23: you know, people on my side are, you know, just
- 44:10Speaker 23: bringing it all back into, we have a deeply uninformed population,
- 44:14Speaker 23: both sides, you know?
- 44:17Speaker 1: Yeah. No, I, I think that's very true. I know,
- 44:20Speaker 1: like I said, you know, at least from my perspective,
- 44:22Speaker 1: I get attacked often, obviously by the same liberal mob,
- 44:25Speaker 1: but I sometimes get attacked by the very, very conservative,
- 44:28Speaker 1: which is funny because, you know, the old adage, if
- 44:30Speaker 1: you go too far to the left, you end up.
- 44:32Speaker 22: On the right.
- 44:32Speaker 21: Same thing.
- 44:33Speaker 25: If you go too far to the right, you end
- 44:34Speaker 25: up on the left.
- 44:35Speaker 1: And guys like us are sort of in the middle. Well,
- 44:37Speaker 1: all of a sudden, there is no room for diversity
- 44:39Speaker 1: of thought. And I know that's not going to play
- 44:40Speaker 1: well with you or what you're doing with Ron Reeder
- 44:43Speaker 1: digs the universe. All right, Ron, tell everybody the best
- 44:45Speaker 1: way to follow you and to follow your stuff. And
- 44:48Speaker 1: first of all, it's been great to catch up with you.
- 44:50Speaker 1: And I'm so glad to have you on my program.
- 44:52Speaker 1: But tell people how they can follow your program and
- 44:54Speaker 1: how they can keep in touch with you.
- 44:56Speaker 23: You bet. I got a Facebook page that's simply called
- 45:00Speaker 23: Ron Reeder Digs the Universe. You can follow me there,
- 45:03Speaker 23: or you can go to the source on YouTube. Just
- 45:07Speaker 23: do a search, Ron Reeder Digs the Universe. That'll bring
- 45:11Speaker 23: up my YouTube page. Reeder is spelled R-E-E-D-E-R, and that's
- 45:18Speaker 23: where I'll be.
- 45:19Speaker 1: Well, very nice. Well, it's been great to catch up
- 45:21Speaker 1: with you, and thanks again for coming on the program.
- 45:24Speaker 6: Hey, man, I'm honored.
- 45:25Speaker 1: The civil discourse is something that has been lost in society.
- 45:28Speaker 1: I'm glad you still have it, and I'm glad that
- 45:30Speaker 1: I still have it. And it was great to talk
- 45:32Speaker 1: to you after about 45 years or so.
- 45:33Speaker 9: Yeah, amen, brother.
- 45:35Speaker 1: All right, once again, Ron Reeder, thank you very much
- 45:37Speaker 1: for your time today. He is the host of Ron
- 45:39Speaker 1: Reeder Digs the Universe. You can go check it out.
- 45:41Speaker 1: It is on YouTube, and he mentioned a Facebook page,
- 45:44Speaker 1: Ron Reeder Digs the Universe, R-E-E-D-E-R. And like I said,
- 45:48Speaker 1: I've known the guy since elementary school. I mean, we
- 45:50Speaker 1: weren't super close friends, but we knew each other and
- 45:53Speaker 1: played the Little League on the same team. I think
- 45:55Speaker 1: it was the Yankees. I don't remember which team it was,
- 45:57Speaker 1: but we did. And the guy, once again, he's always
- 45:59Speaker 1: been– You just heard what he said. Once again, he
- 46:04Speaker 1: tends to side on the liberal side, and he still
- 46:06Speaker 1: gets attacked by those very angry people. And once again,
- 46:10Speaker 1: you guys will hear me. Boy, I got attacked from
- 46:12Speaker 1: those on the right for supporting some of the candidates
- 46:16Speaker 1: that I've supported. And people— Ron does a lot of thinking.
- 46:20Speaker 1: And when you do that, a lot of reading, which
- 46:22Speaker 1: I really appreciate that advice. That is good advice for everybody. Left,
- 46:26Speaker 1: right is to do more reading. The best you can.
- 46:30Speaker 1: When I prepare for this radio show, I don't watch
- 46:32Speaker 1: Fox News. I don't watch CNN. I don't watch any
- 46:34Speaker 1: of those. I go and read and I find an
- 46:36Speaker 1: article and then I go back and look at that
- 46:38Speaker 1: very same article from five or six or seven different
- 46:41Speaker 1: sources in order to get to the actual information. It
- 46:45Speaker 1: requires a lot of reading, a lot of time. I
- 46:47Speaker 1: know not everybody has that kind of time, but that
- 46:49Speaker 1: is how you get to as close to you can
- 46:51Speaker 1: get to truth because truth is shaded in so many
- 46:53Speaker 1: directions in today's environment. And the civil discourse has become
- 46:57Speaker 1: anything but civil. But I'm thankful for guys like that
- 47:00Speaker 1: guy grew up with Ron Reeder for keeping the discourse civil.
- 47:04Speaker 1: And I know when people get uncivil with him, he'll
- 47:06Speaker 1: be uncivil right back. And I have a tendency to
- 47:08Speaker 1: do the same. But we just showed that we can
- 47:10Speaker 1: be on opposite sides of the spectrum and have a
- 47:13Speaker 1: very nice conversation with a guy. He's a nice guy.
- 47:16Speaker 1: Ron's always been nice. Never had a problem with him
- 47:18Speaker 1: in the world.
- 47:19Speaker 4: All right.
- 47:19Speaker 1: I appreciate him coming on my program. If you want
- 47:20Speaker 1: to follow him, Ron Reeder digs the universe. Let's take

- 49:57Speaker 21: Thinking of buying a home, it's important to start off
- 50:00Speaker 21: with a solid pre-approval. Hi, I'm Kathy Baker from Baker Mortgage. Yes,
- 50:05Speaker 21: we ask a lot of questions, but that's because we're
- 50:07Speaker 21: not going to give you a pre-approval that's going to
- 50:09Speaker 21: blow up as you're trying to cross the finish line.
- 50:11Speaker 21: What's figured in there for property taxes? If it didn't
- 50:14Speaker 21: come up, you really don't know what you're pre-approved for.
- 50:17Speaker 21: That should make you wonder what else they may have
- 50:19Speaker 21: left out. At Baker Mortgage, we get it right. We
- 50:22Speaker 21: haven't been around for 60 years because we're lucky. Yes,
- 50:25Speaker 21: we have wholesale rates, 80-10-10s, and all kinds of programs,
- 50:29Speaker 21: but in the end, it's really about taking good care
- 50:32Speaker 21: of people, and they continue to come back and send
- 50:35Speaker 21: their kids, their friends, and sometimes their parents. Whether you're buying, building,
- 50:39Speaker 21: or refinancing, call us at Baker Mortgage.
- 50:42Speaker 14: We're at 281-313-6683.
- 50:46Speaker 21: That's 281-313-MOVE or directly at BakerMortgage.com.

- 50:52Speaker 1: License 263213. Fake news hates us.
- 50:54Speaker 6: Fake news hates us. Chris X Radio.
- 50:59Speaker 1: Chris X Radio. Go Guts Man. Some good tunes. It
- 51:20Speaker 1: was funny because, man, rock got really aggressive in the
- 51:22Speaker 1: late 90s. Well, I guess during the 90s. There's a
- 51:26Speaker 1: very interesting podcast, which I have not gone and watched
- 51:29Speaker 1: the podcast. But I see clips all the time on
- 51:31Speaker 1: Twitter or YouTube or Facebook or whatever. And it's Billy
- 51:35Speaker 1: Corrigan from the Smashing Pumpkins. It's something about... I can't
- 51:39Speaker 1: remember what the name of his podcast is. But he
- 51:42Speaker 1: interviews people within... All different kinds of genres, actors, musicians,
- 51:47Speaker 1: which I really appreciate the musicians and from the 90s.
- 51:50Speaker 1: But he also talks about things that other musicians don't
- 51:52Speaker 1: talk about. One, because he's kind of a weird guy,
- 51:55Speaker 1: but he's also very sort of libertarian. And he interviewed
- 51:59Speaker 1: and talked about how they made that conscious effort in
- 52:01Speaker 1: the late 90s and early 2000s to take rock out
- 52:04Speaker 1: of the genre. And we've seen that here on the
- 52:06Speaker 1: radio stations, but MTV did it. They pulled rock and
- 52:09Speaker 1: roll music and tried to make it irrelevant, basically. They
- 52:13Speaker 1: just got rid of it. Rock is dead or whatever.
- 52:15Speaker 1: And then they moved on to different types of music,
- 52:17Speaker 1: whether it be pop or rap. And rap seems to
- 52:20Speaker 1: be reaching its, I don't know if it's reaching its
- 52:23Speaker 1: ending point, but it is clearly headed in a direction
- 52:26Speaker 1: that is not as profitable as it once was. But
- 52:31Speaker 1: what he said was there was a conscious effort by they,
- 52:33Speaker 1: whoever they are, we don't know. But those in charge
- 52:36Speaker 1: of MTV and some of the others that made the
- 52:38Speaker 1: conscious effort to pull rock out of the mainstream, the
- 52:41Speaker 1: biggest selling acts right now, there are a few of
- 52:43Speaker 1: the pop artists, but all of the old school rock
- 52:46Speaker 1: and roll, the Rolling Stones and shows like that, all
- 52:49Speaker 1: of those, they make a ton of money doing live concerts.
- 52:52Speaker 1: There's not a ton of radio stations backing their music,
- 52:56Speaker 1: but they're doing it. Why are their shows selling so
- 53:01Speaker 1: much without the backing? Because rock music still should be
- 53:04Speaker 1: in the culture. And someone decided for us that we're
- 53:08Speaker 1: going to eliminate it as much as they can from
- 53:10Speaker 1: the culture. Well, they couldn't eliminate it entirely. All right,
- 53:16Speaker 1: hour number one is in the books. I want to
- 53:17Speaker 1: thank Matt Locke for joining us at the top of
- 53:18Speaker 1: the hour, and Ron Reeder, a host of Ron Reeder
- 53:21Speaker 1: Digs the Universe on YouTube, him joining us. It was
- 53:24Speaker 1: great catching up with him. He's a guy I grew
- 53:25Speaker 1: up with, known Ron a long time. He's always been
- 53:28Speaker 1: a very nice guy. Once again, his politics are polar
- 53:31Speaker 1: opposite of mine, but we just had a really good
- 53:33Speaker 1: conversation and showed that you actually can have conversations. What
- 53:37Speaker 1: a concept, huh? Well, we'll talk about more here in
- 53:40Speaker 1: hour number two.
- 53:41Speaker 22: Don't you go anywhere.
- 53:41Speaker 26: We'll be right back.

- 53:52Speaker 28: News this hour from Town Hall.
- 53:57Speaker 1: I'm Keith Peters in Washington.
- 54:00Speaker 28: President Trump is heading to Dallas for his Republican midterm
- 54:03Speaker 28: convention where he's expected to speak both tonight and tomorrow.
- 54:07Speaker 28: President Trump says too much is being made of many
- 54:10Speaker 28: Republicans opting not to attend the convention.
- 54:13Speaker 29: The reason that some people are not coming is because
- 54:16Speaker 29: we don't have room for 500 politicians. We have room
- 54:19Speaker 29: for the ones that have a close race if they're
- 54:22Speaker 29: slightly behind or slightly ahead or tied. But we don't
- 54:26Speaker 29: have rooms for people that are 35 points up and
- 54:29Speaker 29: don't need to be there. We said stay back and campaign.
- 54:32Speaker 29: Every politician that we've wanted to be there is there.
- 54:36Speaker 28: The event is part rally and part fundraiser aiming to
- 54:38Speaker 28: boost Republican candidates by highlighting Trump's first two years in office.
- 54:43Speaker 28: Vice President J.D. Vance is also expected to speak.

- 54:55Speaker 28: latest burst of back-and-forth strikes moving both sides back toward
- 54:59Speaker 28: open hostilities.
- 55:00Speaker 30: Following the American strikes... Iran launched missiles toward U.S. targets
- 55:04Speaker 30: in Jordan, according to Iranian state-run media. Jordan's military said
- 55:08Speaker 30: its air defense systems intercepted 18 ballistic missiles launched toward
- 55:11Speaker 30: its territories and two others fell in places where no
- 55:13Speaker 30: one lives. No casualties were reported. The latest strikes are
- 55:16Speaker 30: part of a dual economic and military approach by President
- 55:19Speaker 30: Donald Trump to bring an end to the war. The
- 55:21Speaker 30: Trump administration on Tuesday also imposed sanctions on additional elements
- 55:25Speaker 30: of Iran's aviation industry. targeting more than two dozen commercial
- 55:28Speaker 30: and private airlines and a new push to isolate Tehran

- 55:34Speaker 28: A federal judge in Miami has ruled that social media

- 57:21Speaker 5: From KSEV, here's political contributor Ben Strewsand.
- 57:25Speaker 34: Most polling shows that Republicans are going to have a
- 57:29Speaker 34: tough time winning majorities in both houses of Congress in November.
- 57:33Speaker 34: Voters blame Trump for inflation and believe that many of
- 57:37Speaker 34: the necessities they need to purchase have become unaffordable. Two
- 57:41Speaker 34: out of three voters don't believe that preventing Iran from
- 57:45Speaker 34: building a nuclear weapon is worth the higher gas prices
- 57:48Speaker 34: that they are paying. Voters never give a president credit
- 57:51Speaker 34: for preventing bad things like a nuclear war from happening.
- 57:55Speaker 34: President Trump should realize by now that the Islamic Republic
- 57:59Speaker 34: will never agree to a deal that results in a
- 58:02Speaker 34: Trump win. The mullahs read the polls and see the
- 58:05Speaker 34: domestic political pressure to end the war. It's part of
- 58:08Speaker 34: their strategy. We should stop chasing a bad deal. This
- 58:11Speaker 34: does not mean that we should resume unlimited airstrikes, but
- 58:15Speaker 34: rather targeted decapitation strikes against their leadership, as the Israelis
- 58:21Speaker 34: used effectively.
- 58:22Speaker 1: If Iranian leaders won't cut a deal, then let's get
- 58:26Speaker 1: new ones. The real leverage we.
- 58:28Speaker 34: Have against Iran is economic. We destroyed what Iran took
- 58:32Speaker 34: decades to build, their defense industrial base used to manufacture drones, missiles,
- 58:38Speaker 34: and nuclear weapons. Inflation in Iran is running at 40%.
- 58:43Speaker 34: The blockade collapsed the revenue stream used by the Revolutionary
- 58:48Speaker 34: Guard Corps, their security services, and all the government infrastructure.
- 58:54Speaker 34: If our blockade is allowed to continue and not stopped
- 58:57Speaker 34: by Democrats... and a few lame-duck Republicans in Congress, we
- 59:02Speaker 34: can eliminate the mullah's leverage over its people. We don't
- 59:06Speaker 34: need regime change to pressure them into a better deal.
- 59:10Speaker 34: for us.
- 59:11Speaker 1: Just perseverance.
- 59:13Speaker 34: Intercepting what leaks out via Iran's shadow tanker fleet.
- 59:17Speaker 1: Will speed the process.
- 59:18Speaker 34: The best guess is this pressure will take six months
- 59:22Speaker 34: to show results, right around.
- 59:24Speaker 1: The time of the elections.
- 59:26Speaker 34: I'm Ben Strewsand, and that's my view.

- 59:46Speaker 18: destruction from broken limbs and uprooted trees. Call Louis Flory
- 59:49Speaker 18: at Ability Tree Experts today. My friend for nearly 40 years.
- 59:53Speaker 18: At 281-441-4179 and let him explain how this problem can
- 59:58Speaker 18: be minimized with professional pruning. You see, when the tree
- 1:00:01Speaker 18: canopy is too thick and dense, the tree can be
- 1:00:03Speaker 18: completely blown over and tree limbs broken, causing terrible damage
- 1:00:07Speaker 18: to the tree and maybe your home. Where tree limbs break,
- 1:00:11Speaker 18: sap will ooze and that attracts harmful insects. So you

- 1:01:38Speaker 4: heard on every radio, seen on every television. This message
- 1:01:42Speaker 4: must resound throughout the entire intelligence.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: And now, your host.
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: I believe this is going to be our finest hour.
- 1:01:48Speaker 6: Chris X Radio.
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: Good evening and welcome to the second hour of Chris
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: X Radio. Glad to have you here with us. As
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: we roll up until 6 p.m., we go each Monday
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: through Thursday, 4 to 6 p.m. And then on Friday,
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: the Amigos will take over from 4 to 6. So
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: we'll do our Friday show tomorrow. That's right. We manipulate
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: the time-space continuum, move our Friday show to Thursday, kick
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: off the weekend 24 hours ahead of everybody else. Lucas,
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: do you like it when we kick off the weekend
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: before everybody else? Do you feel like you're getting to
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: be part of something special?
- 1:02:38Speaker 16: Well, yeah, because I get two Fridays.
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: Oh, he gets two Fridays. Pretty good. By the way,
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: was it just me or did that first hour just
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: literally fly by and we're already in hour number two?
- 1:02:50Speaker 16: Well, it just turned four o'clock.
- 1:02:53Speaker 4: Nope. Okay.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: Yeah, sure. It flew by. We started off the program
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: with Matt Locke. from WBAP up in Dallas. He joined
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: us live from the GOP convention in Dallas as things
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: are just getting kicked off. He's getting some coverage. We're
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: watching a bit of momentum shifting, which is good. And
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: then I basically wrapped up the hour. We talked at
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: the bottom of the hour with Ron Reeder, host of
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: Ron Reeder Digs the Universe, a guy who's on the
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: political opposite side of the aisle, but he's a guy
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: I went to school with. And like I said, I
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: kind of grew up with him. We just grew up
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: in the Kingwood area. And it was a different universe
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: back then, which is interesting. Because it was. He talked
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: about the difference. He was from a conservative family, and
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: he was considered a conservative in high school. And then,
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: of course, he went off and became more liberal. But
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: it's funny because he mentioned this, and it's very true.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: Back when we were kids, there wasn't as much difference
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: between the parties. It wasn't so polarized as it is now.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: But Ron is a big fan of civil discourse, which
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: is interesting, and he also believes in freedom of speech,
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: which is why he's always– he's never said anything other
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: than nice, kind words about me. And I'm on the
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: opposite end of the political spectrum where that usually leads
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: to attack and ridicule. And I've seen some of people
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: that– mutual acquaintances, people that we knew attacking him for
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: being kind to me. which is so, I was glad
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: to get him on the program. So anyway, so that
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: basically took up our entire first hour. Now we're in
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: hour number two, which means we'll open up the phone, guys,
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: to you guys here on our hump day edition of
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: the program.
- 1:04:24Speaker 33: 281-558-KSEV, 281-558-5738.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: I want to get, there's a lot to talk about.
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: Oil climbed above $ 100 a barrel. This has been the
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: highest since last May. So it's a little over $ 101
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: a barrel. So we'll get to that. We've also got
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: Humper Biden has launched Slap Top or Money Sign Laptop.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: I prefer Slap Top because he's a bit of a
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: slap nut. And Humper Biden, well, he did this new
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: Slap Top, a meme cryptocurrency that promptly crashed 98% in
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: one hour. Wonder who was left holding the bag on that.
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: I guess he took a break from painting. Is anyone
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: buying his paintings anymore now that they can't get access
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: to the White House? Anyway, so we can get into that.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: And then also, as I mentioned, the GOP convention here,
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: first one ever midterm convention here roughly less than two
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: months before the voting starts, less than a month, I guess,
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: or about a month or so before early voting starts
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: here in the midterms. We'll see if this becomes a
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: regular occurrence, I guess, if it does well. Trump is
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: doing this, trying to get basically his face on the
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: ballot so people that support America first can get a
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: little momentum going into this election. It's been. head in
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: the other direction, you know, with gas prices and whatnot.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: Elon Musk, his America Pack, has launched a barrage of
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: new ads targeting Democrat Senate candidates in four of the
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: most competitive races, using the hot-button topic of biological men
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: competing in women's sports and the left's overall embrace of
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: a radical trans agenda. As a line of attack. And
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: by the way, okay, so finally I'm able to get
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: a clip or two here from James Tallarico did a
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: Fox News interview today. It aired around shortly before the show,
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: so I wasn't able to get clips. But I want
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: you to listen. He was talking with Brooke. what's her name?
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: She used to be a reporter here in Houston, and
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: now she's up in Dallas working for Fox News. Take
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: a listen to, I would say he's the king of flip-flops,
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: but he's not. He is literally just running a campaign
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: against himself. Here's James Tallarico talking about men and women's sports.
- 1:06:39Speaker 35: And what about biological men competing in women's sports? That's
- 1:06:43Speaker 35: a big deal here in Texas.
- 1:06:45Speaker 4: That's right.
- 1:06:45Speaker 36: And I oppose trans athletes playing in girls' sports if
- 1:06:49Speaker 36: it endangers them. safety or fairness.
- 1:06:52Speaker 12: Really?
- 1:06:52Speaker 36: Every sport has to be safe and fair. As a
- 1:06:54Speaker 36: former public school teacher, I care a lot about our
- 1:06:57Speaker 36: student athletes. I care a lot about our students. And
- 1:07:00Speaker 36: so I will oppose trans athletes playing in girls sports
- 1:07:03Speaker 36: if it risks safety or fairness.
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: You know, that's funny because he voted against two bills
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: that would have prevented men from playing in women's sports.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: And he called it a far right wing conspiracy. Just
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: the latest in an episode of how to be a
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: flip flopper, how to run a campaign against yourself, to
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: lie to the people of the state of Texas in
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: order to get elected to parade around like you're a moderate.
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: And he's not anything close to being a moderate. Anyway,
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: this story is interesting to me now. Well, let's get
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: into it. Three anthropic researchers are now warning that the
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: AI systems that their industry is racing to build could
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: wipe out humanity before the decade is over.
- 1:07:50Speaker 9: Huh?
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: Axios is reporting that Jacob Coxon, C-O-X-O-N, resigned from his
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: job as an anthropic AI researcher on Tuesday specifically so
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: he could sound the alarm publicly. He posted his warning
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: on X shortly after leaving the company, quote, the people
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: building AI earnestly believe that it could kill us all
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: by the end of the decade. This is not a
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: marketing stunt. If anything, many executives and senior researchers will
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: couch their phrasing in the press to sound sensible. But
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: I hear the same people express fear privately. No other
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: human activity poses this level of danger, Coxon wrote. Two
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: of his former colleagues backed him up in the same thread.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: Evan Hubinger, who leads alignment science at Anthropic, wrote, Jacob
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: is correct here. We really do earnestly believe AI could
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: kill all humans. I personally think it is greater than
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: 10% within the next decade. It is greater than. A
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: 10% chance within the next decade. I believe Anthropic is
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: trying its best, but we do not yet have a
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: plan to solve alignment for the superintelligence and are not
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: clearly on track to. Samuel Marks, Anthropic's scalable oversight lead,
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: added his own assessment, AI developers believe their technology could
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: cause human extinction or similarly bad outcomes. This could happen
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: in the next few years. In general, the more senior
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: the employee, the more concerned they are. Now, Breitbart reported
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: this week that OpenAI's chief scientist warned the industry must
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: move forward with extreme caution. So my question to you
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: today is, Are you scared of AI wiping out humanity? 281-558-KSEV.
- 1:09:50Speaker 9: 281-558-573.
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: Do you fear that this AI is going to take
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: over the planet and then Skynet will be launched and
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: then they're going to go try to wipe out humanity
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: and then we've got to have, you know, John.
- 1:10:00Speaker 5: What.
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: Was his name on Twitter? John Connor.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: Get to the.
- 1:10:06Speaker 24: Chopper, John Connor. I have to get you to the chopper.
- 1:10:10Speaker 24: I was a Terminator, but now I'm working on your behalf.
- 1:10:16Speaker 24: Are we going the Terminator route? Now, here's the weird thing.
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: I'm Generation X, and I read an article here a
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: few weeks ago that said the only generation now, Generation Alpha,
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: the Millennials, the Baby Boomers, they're all terrified of AI
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: ending the world. Us Gen Xers, apparently we aren't even
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: remotely worried about it. Which makes me worry that one,
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: are we just stupid and not getting it? But two,
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: are we just not scared of anything? Realize the Gen
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: X generation was sort of the last generation that was,
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: you know, free range kids. Mom would kick us out
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: of the house early on and say, don't come back
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: until sunlight, until sun goes down, until sundown. When the
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: lights come on in the streets, that's time to get home,
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: get home in time to eat dinner. But we didn't
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: have cell phones. All we had was our bikes. And, man,
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: we would go roam the neighborhoods. I remember where I
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: was raised down in the Kingwood Forest Cove area. There
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: was bike trails. We would go back through the woods
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: and go right around the lake. And then we would
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: go and there was railroad tracks. And we'd go right
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: on the damn railroad tracks. We were crazy. we weren't
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: scared of anything. In fact, we would go ride those bikes.
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: And honestly, we might as well have been BMX champions
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: because that's how we, you know, paraded around as kids.
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: And we were, so we weren't scared of anything. We
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: were free range. And then now we're free range adults.
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: The Gen Zers are very different. And the Generation Alpha,
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: I think, is what we're in now. They're raised in
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: completely different environments, a much more contained environment. They didn't
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: have that. We were the last ones. We didn't have
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: cell phones. We didn't have Internet. You know, we had
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: line lines and we would call our best friends and
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: go meet up on bikes and go ride around. We
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: were the last generation that really, I think, had that
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: sort of freedom. So I don't quite understand why we're
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: not scared of anything. AI, I don't think we're going
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: to get to a Skynet. I mean, I guess eventually
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: if we're foolish enough to turn over, say, I guess
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: the nuclear codes and nuclear power plants to AI, and
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: then it could get back because they've done these little
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: closed loop experiments with AI. And then the AI starts
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: plotting on its own by themselves, which is simply done
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: because of the programming issues. Actually, there's no such thing
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: as artificial intelligence. It is programming. Now, it is extremely
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: good programming, programming that has the ability to do research
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: and do things much faster than humans can. But I
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: don't think that it's going to try to wipe out humanity.
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: Or even if it tried, I don't understand how it could.
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: It would have to learn how to control the grid
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: on its own and keep the power flowing. Because once
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: you start removing the human element.
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: Things go off the rails very quickly. I'll give you
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: a very short, sweet example. When you call customer service,
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: now there are companies advertising you actually get to talk
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: to a human being. How frustrating was it initially to
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: talk to someone in India who has no clue what
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: you're talking about? Then it moved to the Philippines or both.
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: And then, of course, you get caught in the phone
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: loops before the automated phone systems. And it's so frustrating
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: and so that it's costing people money. Business. It made
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: me change my cell phone provider. And now I'm with
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: one that when I call, I get a human being.
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: I'm with Pure Talk. I'm happy with it. First of all,
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: I cut my bill in half. Second of all, it's unlimited.
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: Third of all, every time I've ever called, I talk
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: to human beings. No AI.
- 1:13:58Speaker 32: No AI.
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: So people are starting to go that direction, at least
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: commercially or financially, I guess, with what they– so when
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: you lose that element– now, AI will have the ability
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: to mimic human beings, but it can't duplicate them. And clearly, obviously,
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: we're at a point right now where there's absolutely no
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: chance of it taking over and doing what it does,
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: wiping out humanity in its current form. But that literally
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: could change here in a few years as quickly as
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: it's perfecting itself and getting better. Are you scared of
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: AI wiping out humanity? I'm not even remotely. I'm not
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: scared at all. And I don't know if that's just
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: me being overly optimistic or just not scared of a
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: computer program. Cause you know, if AI gets too bad,
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: I just reach over and unplug it. Now I know
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: in the future, that's going to be a little different.
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: They're designing robots, but I look at the robots they're designing.
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: They're pretty cool. And yeah, as far as, you know,
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: hand-to-hand combat, I'm pretty sure the robot would win. But
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: when it comes to human development, Ingenuity, I will just say.
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: Human innovation and things. Humans are unpredictable beasts. Now, all
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: animals in the kingdom are unpredictable, but humans are exceptionally unpredictable,
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: which makes it virtually impossible for AI to be able
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: to predict what we would do. As in going underground,
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: the whole premise for the Terminator movies. We're fighting the Terminators.
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: We'll use their technology to help us, too. But like
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: I said, it changes the dynamic.
- 1:15:46Speaker 22: I don't know.
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: I want to get your take on this. What do
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: you guys think? 281-558-KSCB, 281-558-5738. All right, let's take a break.
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: We'll come back. We can talk about oil getting up
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: over $ 100 a barrel. Once again, if AI needs oil
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: to go, man, it's going to be too expensive. We
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: can get into that and then also get into Slap Top.
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: Hunter Biden's new meme cryptocurrency that crashed 98% in one hour.
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: I'm astonished that fools are still buying into the Bidens
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: on anything, especially a crackhead like Humper, who is still
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: doing drugs. He claims he's been clean. There's no way
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: that dude's clean. I'm not even a good person because
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: I've never done drugs or done any of that stuff.
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: I can't even really recognize it. I can see it
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: so clearly written all over that dude's face that it's
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: not even close. By the way, after calling the laptop
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: a conspiracy, he's trying to profit off of it and
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: basically confirmed everything that was in it.
- 1:16:46Speaker 6: Wow.
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: Interesting, huh?
- 1:16:49Speaker 9: 281-558-5738.
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: I'm Chris X. We'll be right back. Don't you go anywhere.
- 1:16:55Speaker 6: Chris X Radio.
- 1:16:58Speaker 21: Hi, y'all. It's Kathy from Baker Mortgage. You know, with
- 1:17:01Speaker 21: all the scary stuff we've been through, it's still true
- 1:17:04Speaker 21: that timing is everything and the time to buy is now.
- 1:17:07Speaker 21: But don't go looking without a solid pre-approval in hand.
- 1:17:10Speaker 21: And this includes an application and a detailed discussion about
- 1:17:14Speaker 21: property taxes. If you didn't have the talk... You know,
- 1:17:17Speaker 21: about property taxes, you really don't know what you're pre-approved for.
- 1:17:21Speaker 21: That should make you wonder what else they may have
- 1:17:23Speaker 21: left out. Mortgages are personal. Let's face it, we're dealing
- 1:17:26Speaker 21: with your home and your money, and it doesn't get
- 1:17:28Speaker 21: much more personal than that. When it's the largest transaction
- 1:17:32Speaker 21: that most people will ever be involved in, imagine having
- 1:17:35Speaker 21: someone on your side looking out after you. What a concept.
- 1:17:38Speaker 21: We audit your closing statement to make sure you're not
- 1:17:41Speaker 21: paying for things that you're not supposed to. Do you
- 1:17:43Speaker 21: think your big bank's going to do that? Probably not.

- 1:19:59Speaker 1: Chris X Radio.
- 1:20:00Speaker 6: On The Voice of Texas.
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: Now, Lucas, did you pick staying alive particularly because I
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: just talked about AI wiping out humanity? Did you do that?
- 1:20:22Speaker 16: If I say yes, will you be impressed?
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: No, I'd actually be kind of pumped about it.
- 1:20:27Speaker 25: Okay, but no, it was O'Rogan.
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: Damn. I'm trying to give you credit, and you won't
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: even take it. All right, I'm still going to go
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: with you picked it because that's what we're talking about. Now,
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: Luke Cash, I got to ask you, are you scared
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: of AI wiping out humanity?
- 1:20:46Speaker 16: I mean, as scared as I am of the nuclear bomb.
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: Okay. I'm not even as scared of that. I guess
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: I grew up in a nuclear... Uh, do you think
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: that AI will wipe out a humanity here within the
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: next decade?
- 1:21:01Speaker 16: Uh, no, I don't think so. We'd have too much
- 1:21:04Speaker 16: trouble getting to certain sectors.
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree. I just, I don't see it. I just,
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: once again, I know these people, these... The other thing
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: too is AI can only be as good as the programmers. So,
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: and it's being programmed by humans. And I know it
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: has the ability to go through there and make itself
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: better and more efficient, which is being programmed into it,
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: which is interesting. And AI is very cool on the internet.
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: The things you can do with it as far as
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: building commercials and movies and videos and, you know, art
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: graphics and all that stuff. It's incredible. And it is
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: literally everywhere. but nothing about it looks even remotely human
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: except for there are the videos. Now they have the
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: younger actors and then they're joined by the older, the
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: older version of themselves, which is kind of cool. And
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: then people that have passed on and they have the
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: angel wings, which is kind of interesting, but there's always something.
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: It's just a little inhuman. Now, of course it can
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: be human because it's not, but I, once again, I'm
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: a Gen Xer and I know you're not, you're a,
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: you're a Gen Zer. Is that what it is?
- 1:22:08Speaker 24: Lukasz?
- 1:22:10Speaker 16: No, I don't think I'm that cool. I'm millennial, is
- 1:22:12Speaker 16: what I think.
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: Oh, you're a millennial. I keep calling you Gen Z-er,
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: even though you've told me multiple times. So you're as
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: close to, I guess, a Gen X-er as you can
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: kind of get. You're a millennial. So you're pretty darn well,
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: like I said, you're within one generation, I guess.
- 1:22:27Speaker 26: Oh, yeah.
- 1:22:27Speaker 16: No, I grew up on the streets with the water
- 1:22:29Speaker 16: hose and no cell phones, too.
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: See, I guess you grew up with your parents Gen X-ers?
- 1:22:34Speaker 16: No, they were before that. My older brother's a Gen X.
- 1:22:37Speaker 16: He's five years older than me.
- 1:22:38Speaker 25: Okay.
- 1:22:40Speaker 11: They were 70s.
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: Okay, so that'd make them baby boomers. So your parents
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: were boomers, but obviously they raised you and your brothers
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: like a Gen X. So, okay, because, yeah, you're more,
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: like I said, I've known you long enough now to
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: know you're very closely tied to the Gen X. And
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: I wanted to just, because you have the older brother,
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: but you're very similar. We'll just say you're one of us, Lucas.
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: You'll be an honorary Gen Xer. How's that?
- 1:23:02Speaker 16: Hey, man, I appreciate it.
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: Because I'm in control of that. I'm in charge of
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: all of that. Not so much. Anyway, but once again,
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: us Gen Xers, it's weird because we're the, like I said,
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: we were that last, that last thing without all the technology.
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: We went through, it's weird because we've adapted to the
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: technology pretty well. The advent of computers and cell phones. Well,
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: let me back up. telephones that were wired to then
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: cordless telephones to then cellular telephones. And we went from
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: no computers to computers to really good computers, no internet
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: to dial up. Poor Steven 56K is still on 56K,
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: but the rest of us have moved on to high
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: speed internet. So we've gone through, we were right in
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: the middle of the transition. I remember being so excited
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: when I got my first cell phone. I remember my
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: dad had his, you know, with, for his work, he
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: had a car phone and And I remember the first
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: minute was free. So when we would go somewhere and
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: I was stuck waiting on him sitting in the car,
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: I would call all my friends and literally watch the clock.
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: And when it got to 59 seconds, listen, I'm going
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: to hang up on you at 59 so it doesn't
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: charge us. Because the first minute was free on those
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: early phones. So I would do that because if I
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: got charged, my dad would have probably murdered me. Which,
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: by the way, I have to, you know, today is
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: my dad, would have been my dad's 90th birthday. Now,
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: he didn't make it out of 2021. He passed away
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: about a week before his birthday. Thanks to I've told
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: the story about the hospital screwed up and he went
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: in for a procedure and then they just screwed up
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: and killed him, which was very sad. But, you know,
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: now hindsight looking at things, I find myself in a
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: different spot. Would have my dad have made it to
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: 90 because very few people do. And then, you know,
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: what sort of health would he been? My uncle who
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: just passed away here last month, he he made it
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: to 85 and he passed away. But he was he
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: had dementia. And there was a very interesting article that
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: I read that said there's a reason why– have you
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: ever noticed that people, when they're getting towards their end
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: of their life cycle, certain things happen. I don't want
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: to be gross and go into it, but certain things
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: start happening with human beings as they're– if you're lucky enough,
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: I guess. I don't know if that's the right term.
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: But to make it to the point to where you're
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: transitioning– to what is next. And when you start transitioning,
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: certain things start happening to your body, but also there's dementia.
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: But also a very common occurrence is people who are
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: very close to passing away start seeing their relatives that
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: have passed away. And you would think, okay, that's a
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: little scary, right? Because they're ghosts. Well, no, it's not
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: that they're ghosts and they're not scary. It's a reassuring thing. Now,
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: is it something to do? And this is people with
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: dementia and people with dementia sometimes have these moments of clarity,
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: which could just be the disease itself. But the human
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: beings start seeing their loved ones that have passed. And
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: I was told my uncle, he was seeing my dad
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: and their sister that had passed away. My cousin was
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: telling me that, you know, she came in and he
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: was like, hey, did you see Bill? She was like, huh? No,
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: he was just here. So I guess if you're lucky
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: enough to get to that point in the life cycle,
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: are they actually seeing? Are they being visited from the
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: other side? Or are they simply hallucinating? Well, those are
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: questions we won't know. We don't know the answers. But
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: it turns out, the article that I was reading, I
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: may pull it up and use it as a Chris
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: X Files. I may do that tomorrow, actually. It says,
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: once again, it's a comforting thing to them. they don't
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: sort of, it's, they don't recognize that they're gone, that
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: they've died, but they, in their minds, they know they're gone.
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: So it's a different sort of environment and seeing different
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: things and seeing different lights and the way things happen,
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: which once again, is just part of the natural progression
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: into what's next or is in them losing my friend
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: Duncan who passed away, I guess last year now was
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: earlier this year. No, I think it was earlier this year. Um,
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: Losing him, at a certain point, they said he is
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: now transitioning because he had had strokes and he was going.
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: And when they start transitioning, there's a certain thing that
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: occurs that eventually leads them to.
- 1:27:25Speaker 10: That.
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: So it's a very interesting concept. These are answers I
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: don't know if we'll ever truly have those answers to
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: these sort of things. But I found it very interesting
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: when my cousin was telling me about, you know, my
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: uncle seeing my dad and his sister. Right before he passed.
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: And it was as though they were just friendly and talking.
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: It was just how it always was. And once again,
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: he had dementia. Which, you know, you don't know. Is
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: that the dementia? Or is that... Then again, he also
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: had moments of perfect clarity. So, and that is a
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: similar thing that happens with a lot of people with dementia.
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: So it's very interesting. Anyway, all right, we'll take a break.
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: You're listening to Chris X Radio. We'll come back. I'll
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: get to the oil climbing above $ 100 a barrel. But
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: maybe tomorrow I'll do a Chris X Files with this article.
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: But it showed how this is a common occurrence with
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: those who are passing. Even those without dementia, they start
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: seeing their loved ones that have already passed. And it's
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: sort of like they're welcoming them to what's next. Maybe
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: this is something that God has put in place for us.
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: Who knows? When you start talking about the afterlife, it's
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: really hard to... to say that this isn't happening. This
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: isn't true. There's a lot about life that we don't understand.
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: and of course, afterlife. The one thing in common that everything,
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: every single human being has in common is that we're
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: all going to be there one day. All right, you're
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: listening to Chris X Radio. We'll be right back.

- 1:29:22Speaker 10: I hear it all the time. Once the roof is replaced,

- 1:32:06Speaker 22: From the KSEV Weather Center, tonight expect partly cloudy skies
- 1:32:09Speaker 22: with high humidity levels. There is a chance of a
- 1:32:12Speaker 22: thundershower in some areas as we approach dawn with a
- 1:32:14Speaker 22: low temperature of 76 degrees. Tomorrow brings a mix of
- 1:32:17Speaker 22: sunshine and clouds with continued humidity and the possibility of
- 1:32:20Speaker 22: a thunderstorm. The high will reach 92 degrees. Tomorrow night
- 1:32:24Speaker 22: anticipate the chance of a thunderstorm in the evening. Otherwise,
- 1:32:27Speaker 22: it will be partly cloudy and humid with a low
- 1:32:29Speaker 22: of 75 degrees. Looking ahead to Friday, we can expect
- 1:32:33Speaker 22: partly sunny skies with humidity still lingering. In the afternoon
- 1:32:36Speaker 22: and evening, there may be isolated thunderstorms in some areas
- 1:32:39Speaker 22: with a high temperature of 95 degrees. With the KSCV
- 1:32:42Speaker 22: Weather Center forecast, I'm AccuWeather Meteorologist Jason Catarina.
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: The Voice of Texas.
- 1:32:47Speaker 6: The Voice of Reason. Chris X Radio.
- 1:33:07Speaker 31: Sorry, I'm just jamming out.
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: The rest of the cage. It's a great song, by
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: the way. Welcome back to Chris X Radio. We've only
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: got two segments remaining, so if you want to get in,
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: you better hurry. 281-558-KSEV, 281-558-5738. I haven't seen a lot
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: of updates from the GOP convention. I know Trump's speaking
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: tonight about 8 o'clock our time, so I'm pretty sure
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: if you want to go on, you can watch it. So,
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: but I've just got one of the local channels on
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: just watching local news. A little cooler out today. It's
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: only 89 degrees in my area, which is like a
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: cold front. I'll take the cold front. I'll take the
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: cooler temperatures. Man, we're getting into those fall temperatures. Oh,
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: thank God. It was weird because it wasn't really a
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: hot summer early on. It was actually relatively cool. But
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: then about August rolled around. Well, July and August. And
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: it got hot fast. And it got really hot. And
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: it stayed consistently hot for a bit. And now hopefully
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: we're on the downside of that. By the way, in
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: the last segment I was talking about transitioning, dying, people
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: I'd lost. I mentioned it was my dad's. Would have
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: been his 90th birthday. which means we'll probably, I'll probably
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: get together with my brothers and family, maybe celebrate this weekend.
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: I know the first few, um, uh, the very first one,
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: because my dad literally died about a week or so
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: before his birthday, we got together. One of the saddest
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: stories that I can ever say was it's great to
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: have family and we've got a big family. So we
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: always get together. But after my dad passed away, we
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: would go to this place, uh, and have burgers. That's where,
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: for some reason, the last five, six, 10 years, dad
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: started going there. We used to go to his, some
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: of his property that was out, but then there was
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: mosquitoes and it was hot. So he eventually transitioned to
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: this burger place and it just regular, they're good burgers,
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: but we would go there and everybody gets together and
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: we get a cake and stuff. And then after my
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: dad passed, we got together for his birthday, which we
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: would have done had he not passed. And it was,
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: it was just so sad singing happy birthday to my
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: dad who wasn't there. And it was just like, that
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: hurt as much as anything. And now that we're five
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: years down the road, it's a little easier. The old adage,
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: I'll never forget my friend Duncan, who's passed away now.
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: He said, you know, his dad passed away many years ago.
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: And I remember him being so strong for his mother.
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: And he did it, you know, his dad's service was
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: one of the early funerals that I ever went to
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: as a young. And, uh, Later on, when my mom
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: passed away, my friend Duncan, my brother asked him, he said, man,
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: does this get easier? How does this go down? And
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: he said, well, he says, it always sucks. But over time,
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: it sucks less. I've never heard a more accurate description
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: of losing someone. So over time, it does, it sucks
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: a little less. And then you realize, like I said,
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: nothing is permanent. Except death and taxes. And as we're
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: talking about death. But it's weird to think that my
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: dad would have been 90 today. Sure wish we'd have
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: still had him. I would have loved to have celebrated
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: his 90th birthday with him. But anyway, we'll probably get
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: together over the weekend. With my brothers and maybe some
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: other family members. We'll see. I know the first couple
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: years that we had. I know the first year we
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: had a big turnout. Second year, I think it was less.
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: And then was it last year or the year before?
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: This would be year five since he's passed. It was
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: just basically me and my brother. And I remember last year,
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: last year was just me and my brother. And it
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: took me over an hour to get there because of traffic.
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: So he was there. The place was about to close.
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: But the guy who owns it knew my dad, loved
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: my dad. And he allowed us to stay there. So
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: we were able to stay there and talk and have burgers.
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: So it's crazy. But God, I remember I got caught
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: in two different traffic jams because of accidents and stuff.
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: It was horrible. So getting together over the weekend would
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: probably be good. probably be better. So anyway, but I'm
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: just getting text messages and stuff during the break. For
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: those of you listening, they're hearing me talk about the
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: passing and stuff, and I'm going to, I'll have those
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: Chris X files tomorrow, but something called, hold on, let
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: me read it. Make sure I get it right. Something
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: called the, the telepathy tapes. I need to go check
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: that out. So that could be very interesting. And I've
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: heard about these before and I haven't had a chance
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: to check them out. I need to go check it out.
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: But when it comes to that sort of stuff, this
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: article that I, and I can't even remember where it
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: was from. I still have it. I'll go look it up.
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: The one that talks about, you know, people being visited
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: by their loved ones and that sort of stuff. And
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: there is a very common theme when people are passing,
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: they often will see loved ones that have already passed.
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: And another thing too, is there's always a light even
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: before they're gone. Sometimes they see a light, there's a
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: light on them. So they're in between maybe worlds in between,
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: you know, here in the heavens and, They're working their
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: way across, so it's kind of interesting. But I'll do
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: that on ChrisXFiles tomorrow. All right, I want to make
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: sure I hit this a couple things here before we
- 1:38:25Speaker 1: run out of time on the show today because I
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: keep talking about weird stuff. Oil has climbed above $ 100.
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: a barrel. It's the highest it's been since May. Its
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: surge today as fighting between the U.S. and Iran has
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: intensified in the Persian Gulf, raising concerns that the supply
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: of oil passing through the Strait could be reduced. It's
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: called Trump Strait, by the way. It's Trump Strait.
- 1:38:44Speaker 2: Some people call it Strait of Hormuz. I call it
- 1:38:47Speaker 2: Trump Strait. It's definitely very, very straight, okay? If it
- 1:38:52Speaker 2: was Tallarico, it'd be the Tallarico crooked or leans to
- 1:38:55Speaker 2: the left.
- 1:38:55Speaker 1: But it's not. It's the Trump straight. Brent crude futures,
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: the global benchmark for oil prices, rose 3.5% above $ 101.
- 1:39:03Speaker 1: It's the first time it's been over that since May.
- 1:39:08Speaker 1: In July, Brent briefly rose above $ 100. One year ago,
- 1:39:12Speaker 1: Brent was priced at around $ 66 a barrel. The price
- 1:39:15Speaker 1: of West Texas Intermediate Futures traded at nearly 3.7% higher,
- 1:39:19Speaker 1: around $ 96. 40. That's also the highest since May. The recent
- 1:39:24Speaker 1: escalation in fighting has renewed fears of global oil supplies failing.
- 1:39:29Speaker 1: These are things that Trump is also working on. It'll
- 1:39:33Speaker 1: be interesting to see what he can get done. and
- 1:39:35Speaker 1: how soon before the midterms, before it's affecting. Because right now,
- 1:39:38Speaker 1: like I said, people have been trained at gas prices, which,
- 1:39:41Speaker 1: you know, they're still up, but it's not insane. Here
- 1:39:44Speaker 1: I've seen $ 3. 39, $ 3. 20, $ 3. 40 in my area, which is
- 1:39:48Speaker 1: still way too much. I'd prefer to be at lower.
- 1:39:51Speaker 1: But as long as we're dealing with this terrible regime
- 1:39:54Speaker 1: in Iran, unless we want to go back to status
- 1:39:57Speaker 1: quo as it was before or actually solve the problem,
- 1:40:00Speaker 1: Trump seems to be ready to solve it. So we'll
- 1:40:06Speaker 1: watch how this plays out here over the coming months
- 1:40:08Speaker 1: heading into the midterms. I think it's going to be
- 1:40:10Speaker 1: a really tough battle for Republicans. If gas is still
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: up between $ 3 and $ 4 a gallon, it's going to
- 1:40:17Speaker 1: be really difficult for them. Humber Biden has launched a
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: new meme cryptocurrency app. called Slaptop. Basically, it's the dollar
- 1:40:27Speaker 1: sign and then laptop. But if you read it, it
- 1:40:30Speaker 1: looks like Slaptop. So I'm calling it Slaptop. That promptly
- 1:40:34Speaker 1: crashed 98% in one hour. Humper Biden, in attempts to
- 1:40:38Speaker 1: turn the laptop from hell scandal into a cryptocurrency called Slaptop,
- 1:40:43Speaker 1: that's what I call it, upon launching the coin, crashed
- 1:40:46Speaker 1: 98% in its first hour of trading. Coindesk reports that
- 1:40:50Speaker 1: Humper posted Slaptop September 9th on X. with a video
- 1:40:55Speaker 1: referencing years of media coverage of the laptop from hell
- 1:40:58Speaker 1: that he left at a Delaware repair shop. Sources cited
- 1:41:02Speaker 1: by the journal say that the token will run on
- 1:41:05Speaker 1: base blockchain, which operates under the Coinbase Global. The coin
- 1:41:09Speaker 1: began trading at $ 190 in its first few minutes, but
- 1:41:13Speaker 1: then quickly crashed down to $ 2. 15 as of the writing
- 1:41:18Speaker 1: of the article, a drop of more than 98%. According
- 1:41:24Speaker 1: to Coinbase, coins were distributed to market makers and an
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: unknown address ahead of today's launch. Now, Humper first teased
- 1:41:31Speaker 1: the venture back in June in an ex post mocking
- 1:41:33Speaker 1: what he called a manufactured political distraction. Things we were
- 1:41:39Speaker 1: told to fight about me, laptop, vaccines, transgenders in sports, pronouns.
- 1:41:47Speaker 1: We were told to fight about that. Last time I checked,
- 1:41:51Speaker 1: there's actual dudes in sports. The only time they want
- 1:41:54Speaker 1: to prevent dudes in sports is when dudes are calling
- 1:41:56Speaker 1: out dudes in sports. He followed up with a reply
- 1:42:00Speaker 1: laying out his views on digital currency. Fiat is a sham.
- 1:42:04Speaker 1: The banking class is corrupt. Decentralized digital currency and blockchain
- 1:42:08Speaker 1: are the inevitable future, and the incumbents will fight it
- 1:42:11Speaker 1: to the death. In July, Humper published a Substack post
- 1:42:14Speaker 1: walking through the contents of the laptop and his history
- 1:42:17Speaker 1: of addiction in unusually direct terms. So the laptop, here's
- 1:42:22Speaker 1: what was on it. 20 years of my life on
- 1:42:24Speaker 1: a version of it or a version of it. He
- 1:42:26Speaker 1: described what he called the accumulation of a life lived
- 1:42:30Speaker 1: while addicted. Messages sent at hours that don't belong to
- 1:42:34Speaker 1: anyone sober. Photographs I would never have taken in daylight.
- 1:42:37Speaker 1: A record of every way a body can fail its
- 1:42:40Speaker 1: owner when the owner has stopped trying to help. None
- 1:42:43Speaker 1: of it is a single dramatic moment. It is accumulation.
- 1:42:46Speaker 1: The slow daily work of an addict doing the thing
- 1:42:49Speaker 1: that is killing him because the alternative feels like dying faster.
- 1:42:52Speaker 1: This is a guy who is doing crack. Doing cocaine.
- 1:42:59Speaker 1: As well as crack. Cocaine. Multiple pictures and videos of
- 1:43:04Speaker 1: him with hookers and some say underage hookers. I don't know.
- 1:43:07Speaker 1: I never saw the contents of the laptop. Saw clips
- 1:43:10Speaker 1: that I guess people had posted. But now Humper's trying
- 1:43:15Speaker 1: to cash in on the laptop. Remember those paintings he
- 1:43:19Speaker 1: was doing while his daddy was quote unquote president? And
- 1:43:24Speaker 1: people were buying those paintings for.
- 1:43:27Speaker 9: $ 500, 000.
- 1:43:28Speaker 1: They don't seem to be buying them anymore these days.
- 1:43:30Speaker 1: I wonder why that is. Why would they stop buying
- 1:43:33Speaker 1: those paintings? Oh, that's right. You don't have access. So
- 1:43:39Speaker 1: now he's moved over to cryptocurrency, which I don't think
- 1:43:41Speaker 1: could be named better, at least what I'm going to
- 1:43:43Speaker 1: call it, Slap Top. All right, let's take a short break.
- 1:43:46Speaker 1: We got Chris in spring. Chris, hold on for me.
- 1:43:48Speaker 1: I'm going to get to you on the other side.
- 1:43:49Speaker 1: I don't want to cut you short. So we're going
- 1:43:50Speaker 1: to take a short break. We'll come back, wrap up
- 1:43:52Speaker 1: today's show. We'll get to Chris on spring. And if
- 1:43:54Speaker 1: you want to get behind Chris, 281-558-KSCV, 281-558-5738. We'll be

- 1:47:47Speaker 1: You know, Lucas, there's a new movie coming out called Hope.
- 1:47:50Speaker 1: I think it comes out today. It's a South Korean movie,
- 1:47:53Speaker 1: but it's got Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander in it.
- 1:47:58Speaker 1: And I think it's a, I don't know if it's
- 1:48:01Speaker 1: an alien movie, but it's very much action just from
- 1:48:03Speaker 1: the trailer. I may have to go see it. Maybe
- 1:48:07Speaker 1: another one I go see in the theater. I don't know.
- 1:48:09Speaker 6: Oh, dang.
- 1:48:09Speaker 16: I'll go check out the trailer.
- 1:48:11Speaker 1: Okay, go check out the trailer and tell me what
- 1:48:12Speaker 1: you think. All right, welcome back to Chris X Radio.
- 1:48:14Speaker 1: You reached the final segment of the program. We're going
- 1:48:16Speaker 1: to wrap things up. We'll come back tomorrow, do our
- 1:48:18Speaker 1: Friday show on Thursday. get you geared up for the weekend.
- 1:48:21Speaker 1: It seemed to get here a little quicker this week
- 1:48:23Speaker 1: because of the holiday on Monday. But nonetheless, the Amigos
- 1:48:26Speaker 1: always take over on Friday, so we'll do our Friday
- 1:48:28Speaker 1: show on Thursday. Tomorrow, maybe we'll have some Chris X files.
- 1:48:32Speaker 1: Told you guys I was teasing that a little bit.
- 1:48:34Speaker 1: Let's go to the phones before we run out of time.
- 1:48:36Speaker 1: Let's go to Chris listening in spring. Chris, thank you
- 1:48:38Speaker 1: very much for hanging on. Welcome to Chris X Radio.
- 1:48:42Speaker 28: Hey, buddy.
- 1:48:42Speaker 3: Happy birthday to your dad.
- 1:48:44Speaker 1: Thank you, Chris. I appreciate that.
- 1:48:47Speaker 3: And it looks like the turnout in Dallas is already
- 1:48:50Speaker 3: getting a good turnout there, so that might dissuade a
- 1:48:54Speaker 3: couple leftists from not going to the polls. But, you know,
- 1:48:57Speaker 3: I did want to talk about, you know, the commissioner's court.
- 1:49:01Speaker 3: This is year five now of a deficit. I think
- 1:49:04Speaker 3: I already told you last week I pulled my poll tag.
- 1:49:07Speaker 3: They can– They can come up. What are they going
- 1:49:10Speaker 3: to do? Like, I don't I don't even care at
- 1:49:11Speaker 3: this point. I am not going to give those leftists
- 1:49:14Speaker 3: a revenue. I'm just not going to do it. They
- 1:49:16Speaker 3: don't let us vote on anything. So why am I
- 1:49:18Speaker 3: going to why am I going to participate in this game,
- 1:49:21Speaker 3: this extortion? So I'm encouraging the millennials just take your
- 1:49:27Speaker 3: poll tag or call your credit card company, cancel it.
- 1:49:30Speaker 3: Let's show these people who runs the state of Texas.
- 1:49:34Speaker 3: It's not leftist, okay? It's good citizens who care about
- 1:49:38Speaker 3: balancing the budget. If Austin can do it, the big
- 1:49:43Speaker 3: cities should be able to do it. What else is there?
- 1:49:48Speaker 1: You know, Chris, first of all, I won't recommend anyone
- 1:49:50Speaker 1: not paying the tolls. I'm all about freedom and that
- 1:49:54Speaker 1: kind of stuff, but I don't want to do anything
- 1:49:56Speaker 1: that would encourage people to possibly get in trouble with
- 1:49:58Speaker 1: the law, and that includes you. But your point is
- 1:50:00Speaker 1: so salient and so valid because, once again, first of all,
- 1:50:05Speaker 1: what are they doing with the money? But second of all,
- 1:50:08Speaker 1: you talk about the five years of commissioner's court. Since
- 1:50:10Speaker 1: he's left, he's taken over, and now we're getting the
- 1:50:13Speaker 1: biggest tax increase in Harris County history. And are they
- 1:50:17Speaker 1: providing better services than they were before? Are we getting
- 1:50:19Speaker 1: any of that?
- 1:50:20Speaker 12: No.
- 1:50:21Speaker 1: It's trash. And they hate guys like you that point
- 1:50:25Speaker 1: that out.
- 1:50:27Speaker 3: Well, uh, just to be clear though, Chris, it's not
- 1:50:31Speaker 3: really illegal. Who under what authority do they have to
- 1:50:35Speaker 3: charge us for a toll road that they said once
- 1:50:37Speaker 3: it was built and paid off, they were going to
- 1:50:39Speaker 3: stop charging. Furthermore, it's a sitting parking lot. Every, uh,
- 1:50:46Speaker 3: it's fine. I don't, I, we got to do something.
- 1:50:48Speaker 3: Cause Rodney Ellis is, he's running the show now guys.
- 1:50:51Speaker 1: And, um, He's a godfather.
- 1:50:53Speaker 3: And like Betancourt said, there are no statutes on the
- 1:50:57Speaker 3: books to constrain these people from the budget. We can
- 1:51:00Speaker 3: audit every ballot in Harris County, but we cannot make
- 1:51:03Speaker 3: them pass the balanced budget. And you're not going to
- 1:51:06Speaker 3: do that because there's too many Democrats in the Texas House. So,
- 1:51:10Speaker 3: you know, I thought we were a supermajority state. I
- 1:51:12Speaker 3: guess we're a little short there, and that's unfortunate. But
- 1:51:16Speaker 3: we are a fiscal responsible state. These Darwin zones better
- 1:51:20Speaker 3: get it together. They better act like they care because
- 1:51:24Speaker 3: they're going to destroy our whole situation here. The Texas
- 1:51:28Speaker 3: bond ratings will deteriorate if they don't fix this.
- 1:51:30Speaker 4: Thanks, buddy.
- 1:51:31Speaker 1: Yeah, thanks for the call, Chris. Always good to hear
- 1:51:32Speaker 1: from you. Yeah, I don't know. I just don't want
- 1:51:34Speaker 1: anybody spending a bunch of time fighting in court. And
- 1:51:36Speaker 1: you might win. I mean, I don't know. I wouldn't
- 1:51:40Speaker 1: suggest anybody do anything. And you're right. Once again, these
- 1:51:44Speaker 1: were supposed to be, once again, as you mentioned, when
- 1:51:47Speaker 1: it was paid off, but they always end up selling
- 1:51:49Speaker 1: them and then never stop charging for the toll roads.
- 1:51:52Speaker 1: So there is that. All right, let's go to El
- 1:51:54Speaker 1: Marco here before we run out of time. Marco, thanks
- 1:51:56Speaker 1: for hanging on. Welcome to ChrisXRadio.
- 1:51:59Speaker 25: Yeah, Chris, I'm just dovetailing off of that, and we
- 1:52:02Speaker 25: talked about it before, too, and he just mentioned it,
- 1:52:04Speaker 25: Chris did, that.
- 1:52:06Speaker 25: I don't know about refusing to pay tolls, but something
- 1:52:09Speaker 25: to precipitate to get legal action because it's got to
- 1:52:12Speaker 25: be presented in court. How can they be allowed to
- 1:52:15Speaker 25: continue to charge? There was never any other legal documentations
- 1:52:20Speaker 25: or there wasn't anything that said, oh, we, you know,
- 1:52:23Speaker 25: even though it would be a lie, but they said, oh,
- 1:52:25Speaker 25: I guess we missed it. You know, it still costs
- 1:52:28Speaker 25: this much money to run the thing. I got to
- 1:52:30Speaker 25: believe that to expose it, you know, put it under the,
- 1:52:33Speaker 25: like they say, the light of that and show it
- 1:52:37Speaker 25: that they could be exposed. And then at that point,
- 1:52:41Speaker 25: obviously it would open a big class action for everybody
- 1:52:45Speaker 25: that's been paying it all these extra years.
- 1:52:48Speaker 1: You know, it's, thanks for the call. We're out of
- 1:52:50Speaker 1: time now. So, you know, it's, it, it seems like
- 1:52:54Speaker 1: that would be a bit of fraud if you were
- 1:52:56Speaker 1: going to do it that way. But once again, I
- 1:52:58Speaker 1: don't know what the legality is. I have no idea.
- 1:53:01Speaker 1: It may be like the red light cameras may have
- 1:53:02Speaker 1: a real difficult time proving it in court. We got
- 1:53:06Speaker 1: Mike on line, but Mike, I don't have time. I
- 1:53:08Speaker 1: don't want to cut you off, so we don't really
- 1:53:09Speaker 1: have time to get to you. So maybe you'll call
- 1:53:11Speaker 1: in tomorrow on our Friday show on Thursday. We'll talk
- 1:53:13Speaker 1: about whatever, and that includes tolls if you want. But
- 1:53:15Speaker 1: we're literally out of time. Yeah, I don't know when
- 1:53:17Speaker 1: it comes to the toll roads. I really don't know
- 1:53:20Speaker 1: what the legality is. I know that Austin is nothing
- 1:53:22Speaker 1: but toll roads now, and that seems to be the
- 1:53:24Speaker 1: wave of the future. So it's amazing how our taxes
- 1:53:27Speaker 1: go to pay for the roads, and then we got
- 1:53:29Speaker 1: to pay to drive on the roads that our taxes
