ROYCE BARTLETT: (Voice Over) It's foolishness to think that someone who's hell bent on violating the law against murder will magically be stopped by a gun control law!

Norm Maynor, Singing: Politicians that infringe on our God given rights, He calls him out, he's not here to play! So turn it on, tune in, crank it up!! Royce Bartlett and the Shooting Straight Show!! Let's go! Let's go!!

ROYCE BARTLETT: Yes, you heard the man turn it on, tune it in and crank it up. We are locked and loaded on the Shooting Straight Radio Podcast, also known as Second Amendment University. I am Royce your host and Professor Emeritus of Second Amendment studies, pouring it to you from both barrels with 100% felt recoil and no suppressor whatsoever. And of course, all while being heavily saturated with gunshot residue, toxic masculinity and a faint yet wildly tantalizing whiff of the Cologne of my people, Hoppes #9! Shootingstraightradio.com is where you can catch all of the episodes of the Shooting Straight Radio Podcast. And if you don't have a current podcast platform you'd like to listen on, that'll do just fine. All of the episodes are auto loaded there from I Heart Radio. Also, you can catch the Voice of the Blue podcast I've been commissioned to produce that for the American police Hall of Fame, some very riveting stories right from the mouths of those who lived the incidents that they talk about. It's pretty incredible stuff. And if you'd like to see the human face, put back on the law enforcement profession, tune in to voice of the blue, you can catch it on probably, probably about 10 different podcast platforms now.
• 2:51
ROYCE BARTLETT: So check that out, too. Let's get right into things as I always like to do. You know, we had some close friends over at the house just a day or two ago and had a little fall party had some food and such like that had a great time. And as usual, the conversation always morphed into politics. While why did that happen? I wonder? Well, probably because politics affects literally every facet of our lives, which in and of itself is absolutely galling to me. It shouldn't, but it does. And the reason it does is because we have evil people in high places who feel that they need to interfere in every portion of our lives. But we were discussing recent governmental transgressions and what we should do about them and one of my friends made the statement that, quote, "if they do away with a second amendment, we're screwed". And my blood pressure went up about 120 points right off the bat. My reply was "Says who? How does repealing the Second Amendment do away with the right itself? And since when do we allow them to violate the supreme law without defiance without resistance?" We need to grow our American testicles back people, and we need to let them drop yesterday. Okay? We need to remind ourselves and our government about who's really in charge here. Had we not ever established the first precedent back in 1934 of compliance with illegal laws, the Senate would not presently be considering the 2022 assault weapons ban right now. But they are and I don't know about you people, but I'm infuriated with this. I'm infuriated with them and I'm kind of pissed off at the rest of us too, you because we've been sitting back and allowing them to steamroll us without even the slightest resistance. Now, I realize they've got kind of an upper hand, since they took over the gun industry back in beginning in 1934. And they have controlled it ever since. In other words, the government has put its hands in the industry and taken it over, for all intents and purposes, but they need to be reminded who's in charge, and it's not them. So, I'm going to drive this principle into the ears of every listener of this program for the next few months, if not the next few years. We the People are the final arbiters of what we will accept and what we will not, the government is not the final authority, let's remember this, they answer to us, not vice versa, okay? Now let's get that defeatist crap out of our heads and straighten up our backs.
• 6:05
ROYCE BARTLETT: Let's let our testicles drop.
• 6:05
ROYCE BARTLETT: And let's start being the Americans that our founders wanted us to be. Now, I believe this nation is under attack. And I think many of you out there do too. It's under attack from within, and that by people in government positions who are purposely creating various societal maladies, like excessive violence and financial hardship. Every one of those things afflicting American society right now was engineered, it was man made, it was not an accident. It was not the product of just stupid decision making. Don't mistake malice for ignorance, people, because that's what we often do.
• 6:50
ROYCE BARTLETT: But this is actual malicious action against the American people and their rights. It has nothing to do with misguided decision making. Never forget that this is being done in order to create confusion, and to destabilize this country and society as a whole. Well, why why would they do that? Well, because people who are confused and put in fear are easily manipulated. That's why ranchers and cattle drivers know how to drive an entire herd of cows and bulls with the mere crack of a whip. It puts them all under fear, and they're all following the guy in front. And they're easy to control, the entire herd. And that's a lot what politicians and others do to the American people all the time.
• 7:47
ROYCE BARTLETT: Now, first, I will tell you that one sure way to damage local economies, (and this is what's being done in this day and age right now), and that is by elevating violent crime levels within a particular society or city, even. Because what happens then once crime rates go up, businesses move out. Well, the natural consequence of that is jobs become scarce. And that area becomes a depressed area.
• 8:15
ROYCE BARTLETT: Crime picks up, and it's natural that there's a void left there, once law and order has been taken away. And the lawful, hardworking people that are able to will move away. And once that happens, the natural consequence is for crime rates to climb in those areas. Now, I believe that various and sundry Soros backed attorneys general and district attorneys across America are absolutely guilty of exactly what I just said. Soros has a history of destabilizing nations, economically, it's something he loves to do. It's fun to him, he makes sport of it. And they're doing that in multiple states and cities across America. You know, this, I know this, like the guy Gascon out in San Francisco, that there's no mistaking what he is doing. He was, he is, Soros backed. All of these other ones are backed by George Soros. And for the life of me, I cannot understand why George Soros is still walking free and breathing free air. But what they're doing is they're destabilizing economies. They're destabilizing entire cities and the economies in those cities. And I believe these are flagrant, treasonous acts, and that every attorney general and district attorney involved in these particular actions need to be arrested and held without bail until their trial for treason. Yes, I said treason. I I don't use that word lightly, people. I'm telling you what they are doing is waging warfare against the United States, either economically or otherwise. It is a crime and they should be in jail. I believe these are indeed treasonous acts, every one of these people needs to be in jail. They should be charged,[because], like I said, they're waging war against the people.
• 10:28
ROYCE BARTLETT: And frankly, after they're tried and found guilty, or if they're tried and found guilty, I think they need to have a date with the gallows. Yes, I said the gallows, they need to be made an example of publicly by death by hanging. That's right. The penalty for treason. So that's exactly what this is, people, make no mistake about it. Again, I say this is not just this stupid decision making. This is purposeful. It is malicious. It is deliberate. It is aggression, aggressive action against the United States, and the people. I have now this article, I believe from the Blaze..... I didn't write it down, anyway, It's an article by Joseph McKinnon. And the title is"Pennsylvania House report Attributes Catastrophic Rise in Violent Crime in Philadelphia to Democrat District Attorney Larry Krasner". And he is now facing impeachment. Now. Good. I say he should not just be facing impeachment, though, he should be facing arrest. But the article goes like this and I'll intersperse my generous contributions throughout the entire article, of course.
• 11:52
ROYCE BARTLETT: "Pennsylvania lawmakers missed no words in a damning new report issued on Monday that detailed Democrat District Attorney Larry Krasner, his various shortcomings as well as the fallout of his leftist policies.
• 12:10
ROYCE BARTLETT: The Second Interim Report, as it's titled, produced by the House Select Committee on restoring law and order...." By the way, that's a 63 page long report and just let the title of the report and all of the implications there sink in, just think about that here. The title again. Okay.
• 12:34
ROYCE BARTLETT: Under only the title of the committee, "the House Select Committee on restoring law and order". These people formed a committee with the intentions of restoring something that should have never, ever been done away with in the first place. How did this happen? Well, this very District Attorney here, uh, Larry Krasner, by the way, Larry Krasner is also one of the signees on the lawsuit against,... I'm sorry, the lawsuit by Mexico against United States gun manufacturers. Are you aware of that? Okay, so this man is not only actively trying to stir up violent crime and basically exacerbate it in Philadelphia, he's also trying to disarm you and me. And yes, the good people of Philadelphia, you too. So. "The second interim report produced by the House Select Committee on restoring law and order, stated that the George Soros backed Philadelphia District Attorney, quote, 'has contributed to a catastrophic rise in violent crime at the expense of public safety, and failed to integrate and effectuate his progressive policies with any success'. That is indeed a pretty damning report, especially in light of the fact this guy by signing onto the lawsuit with Mexico against United States gun manufacturers claimed that it was for public safety. But yet here he is in Philadelphia, proving that he has no such designs. That's right. He doesn't care about public safety. If he did, he'd actually be prosecuting criminals instead of turning them back out on the street. Back to the article.
• 14:38
ROYCE BARTLETT: "The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that the committee voted five to zero to send the 63 page report to the house, which voted 189 to 11 on October 24, to accept it. While the report did not explicitly demand that Krasner be impeached, the chairman of the committee Republican State Representative John Lawrence, Republican out of Lancaster, stated on Monday.
• 15:06
ROYCE BARTLETT: Today's report is by no means a conclusion of the committee's work. The investigation into the historic crime and violence in Philadelphia and recommendations for possible solutions will continue in earnest over the coming weeks. Pennsylvania House Republicans announced Wednesday that they were filing Articles of Impeachment stating that(quote) 'impeachment is one of the Pennsylvania constitutions strongest tools for the General Assembly to hold on an elected official to account and adding that Krasner had overseen a year of record bloodshed'." Again, let this sink in. Now let ALL the implications sink in. This district attorney is essentially assisting, enabling, and, in a very real sense, orchestrating murders, rapes, muggings, assaults, batteries, carjackings, and much more by simply not doing his job. Wow.
• 16:21
ROYCE BARTLETT: This is someone who's supposed to be upholding law and order and he's doing the exact opposite. Again, impeachment?
• 16:29
ROYCE BARTLETT: Well, no, no, no, no, not impeachment. This is purposeful.
• 16:33
ROYCE BARTLETT: This is a purposeful dereliction of duty. And in so doing, he is causing the harm and the deaths of many people in Pennsylvania.
• 16:45
ROYCE BARTLETT: THAT, my friends, warrants far more than just impeachment. Back to the article. "Last year, the city set an all time record with 559 murders. The Philadelphia Tribune reported that as of the September 30 400 people had been murdered so far this year, although part of the problem is that the Philadelphia Police Department is grossly understaffed." Gee, now why would that be? Oh, yeah. All that 'defund the police' crap.
• 17:18
ROYCE BARTLETT: Yeah, that's probably what it is. "The report released by state lawmakers this week indicated that much of the crime can be attributed to Krasner's progressive policies, his handling of criminal cases and abject failure to respond in any meaningful way to the current crisis." Wow. You chew on that while we take a brief commercial break. We'll be right back.

• 23:01
ROYCE BARTLETT: So we're in this article about DA Larry Krasner in Pennsylvania and how his dereliction of duty is aiding and abetting the criminal element. They're spiking murders and violent crime through the roof. And we were discussing how, essentially, he is guilty of enabling those, and not just enabling them, but very, in a very real sense orchestrating these violent crimes spike by his inaction. And these reports coming out, they've been setting all time highs for murders 559 murders last year in Philadelphia. Wow. The Philadelphia Tribune reported that as of September 30, and 2020 to 400 people had been murdered so far. My goodness man. The article continues. "The Select Committee noted that to date to in 2022, quote, 65% of all violent offenses have been withdrawn and other words withdrawn from prosecution by the district attorney's office or dismissed by the courts, resulting in no prosecution for those crimes. Violent Crimes include murders, non fatal shootings, rape robberies and aggravated assault." People? Are you grasping this? Yes, murders are not being prosecuted. rapes are not being prosecuted, aggravated battery with a firearm, non fatal shootings that is not prosecuted robberies aggravated assault with a deadly weapon not prosecuted by the DEA, or are recommended by the DA to The judge to drop the charges.
• 25:03
ROYCE BARTLETT: The article continues. "The report noted that Krasners DAO withdrawals cases at an alarming rate as compared to District Attorney's Offices in other Pennsylvania counties. The data reveals that in 2019, and 2020, charges associated with certain firearms offenses, were withdrawn by the DA to the district attorney's office at a rate of 18 to 20%, respectively, compared to the respective statewide averages of 8% and 10%. Krasner's approach to crime has allegedly emboldened criminals,.." (Allegedly my posterior end!) "...who understand that the likelihood that they will be arrested is slim, and once caught, the likelihood the likelihood that they will be prosecuted and incarcerated is minimal." Well, that's first chapter out of the book of Duh, if you don't punish offenders, they become emboldened to do it again, and on a greater level to a higher degree. Krasner's Office also implemented a policy whereby it would reduce or neutralize more consequential sentences or convictions to spare non criminal citizens, er non-citizens, I mean, from deportation after they committed crimes in Philadelphia. So he's also covering for people who have already violated the law to come here illegally across the border, without, you know, doing it the correct way, the lawful way. And now he's sparing them from deportation after they're committing violent crimes in Philadelphia. And you want to tell me, this is just some sort of a misguided idea on his part, just well, you know what, "let's give this a try and see if the bad guys will just play nice with us if we play nice with them?" You people know good and dad-gum-stinkin-well, that ain't the case! And one instance, a child pornography charge was pled to a summary offense solely because the defendant was an illegal immigrant. Okay, so now, not only are we allowing these law breakers to come into our nation illegally, that's, you know, that means "against the law", but now, we're not going to prosecute them either when they are arrested for child rape, child pornography and such like that? Gee, what could possibly go wrong? Well, you would think that being faced with this report, and Mr. Crowder would go"Okay, I know you guys think this looks bad, but really, I'm really trying my best", but then No, no, no, he actually doubles down. Yes, rather than change direction or realign his prosecutorial priorities. Mr.
• 28:07
ROYCE BARTLETT: Krasner actually hired a group of attorneys from Washington DC, and he sued the select committee in an attempt to stop the investigation, and then tried to set up roadblocks at every turn to thwart that investigation! Are you grasping this? Now, listen, Krasner is not the only one, DA Gascon out there in San Francisco there and multiple others, the one in Chicago and in many key cities throughout America, this crap is happening.
• 28:46
ROYCE BARTLETT: Listen again, don't you mistake ignorance, or don't mistake malice for ignorance. This is malice. Pure and simple. This is purposeful. They are trying to spike the violent crime rates.
• 29:02
ROYCE BARTLETT: And in so doing, they're attacking us financially because they know violent crime shuts down economies in whatever areas that it blossoms in and flourishes freely. Krasner actually sent a letter to members of that committee, and he actually denied blame for the chaos that he has been orchestrating there. And he even actually said that my you know,"my methods are sound". Yeah.
• 29:29
ROYCE BARTLETT: And this is what he wrote. He said, "criminologists know what works to prevent crime". You know what Mr. Krasner? You and your criminologist could all grab yourselves a big old five pound sledge hammer, little handheld one, and head yourself to the sand pile. You criminologist and you Mr Krasner, don't know beans. I tell you what, you get me some old country bumpkin out of the backfield of Tennessee and I'd put him in charge of this before I put him put YOU in charge of this, Mr. Krasner; at least he would know what to do. (Krasner comment continues) "The criminologist know what works to prevent crime." Yes, the real ones do and they know this ain't it! (Krasner comments continue)"It is not love for the NRA[that works]...." Oh, what brought that on Mr. Krasner? Oh, yes, your extreme hatred for gun owners and the Second Amendment.
• 30:23
ROYCE BARTLETT: He continued; "Opposition to reasonable gun regulations or draconian sentences, all leading criminology criminal logical reports show zero correlation between crime and progressive reform prosecution." So what you're saying Mr. Krasner is we should trust the science, like we were supposed to do with the COVID crap. Hmm. Right. Yeah.
• 30:54
ROYCE BARTLETT: You're presiding over the district attorney's office in a city that has been setting murder rate records. And your comment now to (get this next comment)... He said "every decision I make as district attorney is with the goal of seeking justice and improving public safety. We are winning." Are you as gobsmacked as I am right now? Yes, speechless, once again, by the weapons grade stupidity coming out of this man's mouth. And they're talking about impeachment. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, not impeachment. jail without bail.
• 31:48
ROYCE BARTLETT: Yes, hold him there without the benefit of being able to post bail.
• 31:55
ROYCE BARTLETT: Not only that, the good citizens of Pennsylvania, the lawful citizenry, all of you people up there, if you want to shut this crap down, don't you depend on you electing the right person, YOU are the right people to shut this down. YOU are the ones that need to take to the streets with your firearms on your persons.
• 32:17
ROYCE BARTLETT: Let your local police know "we are here to back you up. But we are also here to shut down this crime." Travel in groups, take to the streets in large numbers.
• 32:26
ROYCE BARTLETT: And you let the criminal elements there know, not just the ones in low places, but the ones in high places in the DA's office, you let them know that their collective crime spree is officially over. That's how you deal with violent crime. I don't care what the criminologist say, I don't care what communists like Mr. Krasner say, or DA Gascon out there in San Fran-dad-gum-cisco, or any other place. Your progressive policies do not work to shut down violent criminals or crime. The only thing that shuts down bad guys is good guys who are armed and willing to use force to shut them down. That's the only way to deal with crap like that.
• 33:13
ROYCE BARTLETT: That's how you also show your district attorney's office that"we are serious about fighting crime, even if YOU are not, and we are going to shut it down here on the streets of Philadelphia." Well, that's all I got for this edition of the Shooting Straight Radio Podcast.
• 33:29
ROYCE BARTLETT: Hey, catch the next episode. I'm going to tell you remember, I've told you before about how the infringement cartels, the Moms Demand and Giffords and Brady and all them how they really don't want to stop spree shootings because they need a steady stream of victims to use as pawns and props for this disarmament crusade. You remember I told you that right?
• 33:55
ROYCE BARTLETT: Well, I'm going to be going through an article bout that very thing where one of, a, a survivor whose fiancee was shot and killed, how he was taken and paraded and used as a pawn and as a prop, and he has something to say about it. That's gonna be on the next episode of the shooting straight radio podcast, I will catch you then in there until then, you keep in contact with your local representatives on the county level, the state level and definitely on the federal level and you let them know where you stand. You make sure that they know your name by heart every time they see an email from you or see the caller ID with your name on it. That's how often you need to be in contact with them. You keep a loaded handgun on your person, you get some training and you be able to shut down the bad guys that bring violence to you.
• 34:55
ROYCE BARTLETT: Because we cannot trust those in authority to do so. Number one, they can't always be there in a split second. Number two, you might live in a city like Philadelphia, where you have a district attorney who will not prosecute the crime. Keep your head on a swivel and never forget incoming rounds always have the right of way. Royce out
