- 0:43And Conrad did or the other way around.
- 0:45They haven't yet. So I'll basically plot it out
- 0:47the whole season so PSI heart did Zhang life Nathan's doing
- 0:52make loss. Conrad's do full circle.
- 0:56Pete's doing State of Decay. You're doing, were he's gay
- 1:00Mark. Wohlers is doing people are
- 1:01shocked, and that's really gone out.
- 1:03And Jason was doing the Godless It's a pretty as a good lineup
- 1:08for the season. Yeah, you know.
- 1:10Yeah, but yeah, this is of the trilogy.
- 1:14The ending is where we're starting.
- 1:16Yes. Hooray.
- 1:17And from with the best story outside.
- 1:20Yeah, I'd agree with that. Right.
- 1:24Okay. So here we go.
- 1:26Wow. That's uh can't do it in 5 4. 3
- 1:322 1. Go Hello, dear listeners, and
- 1:36welcome to a hamster with a blunt.
- 1:38Penknife the only Doctor Who commentary podcast, who is
- 1:41exactly the right sort of nothing.
- 1:44I'm Brendan I'm Joe. And today Joe has permitted me
- 1:53to comment on the sublime end to the east based Trilogy of
- 1:59stories with worriers gate. Thank you very much Joe.
- 2:04Why? My pleasure, I'm not super
- 2:06pleased. You kick you chose to come back.
- 2:09Frankly a story with a troubled production as I learned today
- 2:13for the first time. Yeah, yeah, we will get into
- 2:18that as we go along. But it's one of those ones where
- 2:21it's like, how did this get made.
- 2:23And I don't mean in terms of quality, I mean, actually, how
- 2:27did it happen? How did this get fitted?
- 2:29This could have been like my married and I love my mother and
- 2:32eat it. But you can see the scene
- 2:33showing in that where We have walked out the same thing
- 2:37happened here. What?
- 2:39He was cool. He was fired but it's a fairly
- 2:42seamless production. Yes, yeah it's it really is it
- 2:46really is quite extraordinary right?
- 2:49Shall we get into episode 1? I'm salivating.
- 2:53Sorry. Part part 1.
- 2:54We're in the late 70s, our part 1.
- 2:56You know what I do when I was putting together, the hamster
- 3:00blog, I don't know where the parts and the episodes are.
- 3:03I did a lot of guessing Imperious, their periods
- 3:06represents a apart? I think, I think pretty much
- 3:11when you get to robot robot changes to parts and I think
- 3:17there are some some outliers I think there might be one or two
- 3:22episodes in the bakery on one or two parts in the Pertwee era but
- 3:25the he's pretty much a clean break.
- 3:27It's kind of like It's kind of like until Peter Davison.
- 3:35The doctor is always credited as Doctor Who except I think in
- 3:39image of the fender where he's credited as the doctor, that's
- 3:42the one that's one difference and then Peter Davison comes
- 3:45along and J. And T says what the character's
- 3:46name isn't Doctor? Who I think I think the
- 3:49production team know that Doctor Who fans like us all flow and a
- 3:53predictability and they do this on but it's like with the
- 3:55production codes we're in a few of the places.
- 3:59Even things are missed or escapes.
- 4:02And, you know, it's supposed to be like said said, said, and
- 4:04then, you know what this has to do with Warriors gate, I've got
- 4:09no idea what the action code for is a gate was Well, that's a
- 4:16good point. Let's look that up in my
- 4:19compiling history here. Okay, but it is a sort of guess
- 4:23that does extreme amounts of research.
- 4:25I heartily approve, the rest of you people that come on this
- 4:28podcast. Shame on you, you're getting the
- 4:31Game of Thrones through the streets.
- 4:35Hey, hey hey. Is it a big sectional?
- 4:43Warriors, get in there. Let's see how long was acting on
- 4:47worries. Gauges starts on page, 46, and
- 4:53runs through to page 77. So, 32 Pages very big, isn't it?
- 4:59Yeah, it. Well yes, yes, yes.
- 5:05Big one. That is, that is an impressive
- 5:07size. I have to say I expected nothing
- 5:09less from you, shall we skip into episode 1?
- 5:14I think we shall. We probably should do anyway.
- 5:19Why does this always happen when you come on here?
- 5:22All right. It's my fruity tones episode 3
- 5:27last time, we haven't even got into a fight, okay?
- 5:31Okay. My husband's not home anything
- 5:33quite a shame. In 5, 4, 3 2 1.
- 5:45Let's go. I have a question for you.
- 5:49Straight off the bat. Yes, when did you first watch or
- 5:53is gay? I think I must have been about
- 5:5813 or 14, okay? It was a story.
- 6:02We didn't catch and record when I was a kid.
- 6:06So I think we missed full circle and we must worry is gate and
- 6:14State of Decay. I found really scary so I don't
- 6:16watch much of these based Trilogy at all.
- 6:20Yeah. And then a friend the made make
- 6:24copies for me all full circle and worries day.
- 6:27And I absolutely just adored worry is gay because time I saw
- 6:31it so it definitely would have been between the ages of 13 and
- 6:3415 but I first saw this. Why all accounts this opening
- 6:39sequence threatened to push the entire production like over time
- 6:46from the off that poor choices in The documentary that if you
- 6:51got this right? This intro, which is so unique,
- 6:55isn't it? This intro?
- 6:56Yes. Yes, sir.
- 6:57People would be sucked into the story and on board of it.
- 7:00I think he's frying. Absolutely.
- 7:03And you know what, it's, it's exactly the same thought that
- 7:06Graham Williams had because G Williams knowing he had to
- 7:09compete with sort of Star Wars. Yeah, and the craze that came
- 7:15from that, you watch most G willing stories and it starts An
- 7:19impressive model shot or an impressive panning shot that
- 7:22sets the tone. And that's exactly what happens
- 7:26here. This this long bit here and we
- 7:32can see for instance, past the Kilroy graffiti there, there is
- 7:35a light that led to massive problems because it pulls Works
- 7:43wanted to incorporate the real Studio lighting their cameras
- 7:48shooting Into the lighting gutters.
- 7:52Yeah, and that was a big No-No. So several reasons, first of
- 7:55all, everything you see on camera is meant to be part of
- 7:58the set design. And so that way, if a producer
- 8:02is watching this story and really likes the set design,
- 8:05they hire that set designer but if it's the lighting the set
- 8:09designers getting credit for something they didn't do.
- 8:11Right? So that's the one thing of it
- 8:14that's the credit think the other thing is the detriment
- 8:16thing. If the director shoots the It's
- 8:20and whoever's watching, doesn't know, that's a conscious Choice
- 8:22by the director. The lighting director looks like
- 8:25an idiot. Right?
- 8:27Yeah. And so I mean they're both good
- 8:29points. They're both could put but you
- 8:31know it won't be sticking these days.
- 8:33Oh yes. Great Cole.
- 8:35Isn't it? Because this absolutely but it
- 8:39did lead to a production stoppage in production of
- 8:42several hours. Really?
- 8:44What was like that? Yes.
- 8:48Yeah. Yeah.
- 8:48Yeah. Which is why you know, when you
- 8:51hear about that you like but there's only there's only two or
- 8:53three lights. It's like yeah, there were meant
- 8:54to be a lot more and that was the negotiation.
- 8:58Another thing that stopped production of this studio
- 9:00session for about an hour. Was this Gantry there up or?
- 9:04That's right. Yeah, the lighting manager said,
- 9:06is this actually safe and stop production for an hour so it
- 9:09could be inspected and they did actually find the loose bolts
- 9:12that could have come loose and collapsed.
- 9:15Yeah, There's the behind-the-scenes stories that I
- 9:18don't tell where they lost, half the cars, they've none of the
- 9:20vaccines. So what do you think about
- 9:24Captain mannering turning up in a doctor who Story?
- 9:28Look, I actually think it's a great choice.
- 9:32Doctor Who very rarely goes, for sort of hard-bitten say star
- 9:40trek-like captains. And so here they've gone for,
- 9:45you know, a bond. Should blokes.
- 9:48Whoo, you know, there's sort of construed as working class
- 9:52except for, rorvick the manner in character who was absolutely
- 9:56explicitly based on Captain Mallory.
- 9:58This was another shot that got pulled.
- 9:59Joyce in trouble, the spinning coin.
- 10:01Because with the zoom, there, they're like, yeah, great.
- 10:04The image starts to break raised, doesn't it?
- 10:07Yeah. But yeah, again, artistically
- 10:09stylistic any, it's incredible, isn't it?
- 10:12Yeah, you know, I think, I think he was a bit ahead of his time
- 10:16here. Bit like love at Bickford.
- 10:18He's Trying to be clear absolute like cinematic as me.
- 10:21What on a BBC a budget yes and okay the wireframe Tardis there
- 10:30is actually a model made out of wood.
- 10:33It's a wireframe physical model. Wow it's not computer generated
- 10:38at all. You can see it on.
- 10:40I believe in the Blu-ray in the special features and you're
- 10:44going to surprise me. So you bought it on eBay and you
- 10:46got it here right now. No, I did not.
- 10:51We've gone from that incredible Direction in the spaceship, you
- 10:56all the paths and Fades and video effects to a long shot of
- 11:01that overly, very stagey Tardis, console room, shaking about and
- 11:07it almost like the contrast between his Ambitions as a
- 11:10director. And what could be achieved is
- 11:12like highlighted between those two things?
- 11:14There isn't it like yeah. Yeah absolutely.
- 11:17And especially I'm the time The scenes were delayed by delays to
- 11:21be scenes and everything knocked on.
- 11:23So it was probably with the charter sense, okay?
- 11:26Let's just get him in and what do, you know, as much as we got
- 11:31Clifford Rose? As the lead get actor, a guest
- 11:33actor in Captain razzak. We also have Kenneth cope here,
- 11:39terrific. Yeah, right hopkirk himself.
- 11:44From Randall and hopkirk deceased, I think without the
- 11:47comedy of these characters, this would be a very dry story,
- 11:50wouldn't it? Yes.
- 11:52Yes. And especially Daddy Lane here.
- 11:57Laughing out that fire. Two or three years ago called
- 12:03about five years ago, Robert, when, when we do a complete
- 12:06marathon of this, that as an adult, I watched away and I
- 12:08went. Yeah.
- 12:10All right, but even here with this tired of seen Paul Jones is
- 12:17trying something new here, like usually people clustered around
- 12:20the console and there, we've got the dr.
- 12:22Romano, and a drinking free three, very distinct positions.
- 12:25You know, put a tongue that you bought a house, does not know
- 12:28what to do with his hands, if you read that.
- 12:30That book blue box. Boy.
- 12:32Very bizarrely written in the third person by himself.
- 12:36Yes, he describes acting in these things and it sounds like
- 12:43it was just poisonous the atmosphere in that set.
- 12:46Yeah, absolutely. Like at this stage Tom is still
- 12:51ill. And, you know, it was the same
- 12:55illness that in State of Decay meant that he had to have his
- 12:57hair putting curlers He's here I'm curled.
- 13:01It is notice. He always lives.
- 13:03Well yeah, it's just something but it's not like he's usual
- 13:08tight curl. Yes, he and Leila.
- 13:11We're going through another rough patch.
- 13:14And of course, Matt Matthew Waterhouse turns up to work with
- 13:16his childhood hero and finds this angry sick actor, swearing
- 13:23like a trooper and he knows he's on his way ours.
- 13:26Well, it doesn't leak. So it's almost like what about
- 13:28why I've got to be nice to this kit, you know.
- 13:30Like yeah. Yeah, it wasn't happy with the
- 13:32character of a drink either was he?
- 13:34Like he didn't want to be surrounded by Young geeky kids.
- 13:37No. No.
- 13:40And here we have Michael Munger Warren.
- 13:42Who will later be a Salted by a car LED mutant in.
- 13:46Resurrection of the dead? Yes, he is.
- 13:50Shit hot in that, isn't it? My God, that's him and Aldo.
- 13:59Here, the older of the repairman.
- 14:01Yeah, is played by Freddy Earl, who is Christopher?
- 14:07Hamilton bid Meade's father-in-law.
- 14:09No, yes now that's yellow. Trivia that you're here for
- 14:14tonight. I wonder if his father knows.
- 14:18Arrogance, has rubbed off on him because I'll tell you something.
- 14:21I don't we're going to talk about this phrase, big mixer out
- 14:24it. I'll tell you something.
- 14:25At the end of the documentary, he has the nerve to look into
- 14:28the camera and say, Well done Paul Joyce and yeah, well done
- 14:32me mate. Yeah, is he thinks he's really
- 14:40really good and he is very weak. Yeah, exactly exactly.
- 14:45Exactly. It's like you you can criticize
- 14:48him for praising himself, but he also deserves the prize is one
- 14:55of the best written seasons is certainly one of the best
- 14:57structured Seasons. Yes.
- 15:02Oh, wow. Look at this.
- 15:03Yeah. I do absolutely love that shot
- 15:12and they just move around each other and Lane seems to realize
- 15:16here that he could have just died.
- 15:20You know what, right? Once upon time I was gonna get a
- 15:22soda. Yeah.
- 15:22And I had a reaction. Yeah, I claims like that.
- 15:24I'm like I've clocked, couldn't talk on.
- 15:27Say sorry. I'm so sorry.
- 15:30That's why. That's why people that's why
- 15:31people come to my podcast. All right?
- 15:34That's why people Asuna quite contrasting colors going on.
- 15:43In this console room, isn't there?
- 15:44Lots of racing whites? Yeah, I mean, what was amazing
- 15:48was, June. Hudson designed a much more
- 15:50elaborate outfit for Romana something.
- 15:54A bit more akin to her horns of 91 book with layers and what
- 15:59have you but more and more of a cocoa more fancy and June was
- 16:05Wearing a tunic like Ramana is wearing and John nathan-turner
- 16:10said to her, but darling, this is lovely and simple and less
- 16:13fussy and we'll focus more on Lila can can she have something
- 16:17like what you're wearing? And I think it's absolutely the
- 16:20right choice. I love the Simplicity of
- 16:22Ramona's. Outfitting.
- 16:23This one, the Simplicity and I love the sleeves but yes, the
- 16:28crazy sleeves are she's well, I so when I got married, I had to
- 16:33groomsmaids and We're both in that sort of blood red eye.
- 16:38I love that color, especially against that we were in like a
- 16:41white Marquee. So the contrast of the red
- 16:43against the white, it just makes it an in this.
- 16:46There's a lot of white, isn't it?
- 16:47There's a lot of like yeah, we did things like that.
- 16:51Yeah, speaking of here is the void very simple video effect,
- 16:55showing the striations of love the timelines.
- 16:59Hmm. Well yes, very simple but
- 17:02apparently, it took Joyce a lot of Time in the gallery.
- 17:07And I think I think possibly even a couple of years later as
- 17:09sort of corn tail and Harry Advanced.
- 17:11It would have been easier but at the time, you know, they were
- 17:15really there were really pushing this.
- 17:17There's even a bit later where they can't turn our use of the
- 17:23scene sync technology that have been used in Meg, loss.
- 17:26It was shot. It was fine.
- 17:28It was just cut for time, right? Unfortunately.
- 17:31Yeah, and I'll point that out when we get there.
- 17:34Look, I Slow motion is coming through the Tardis.
- 17:37You just didn't have shots like this in like the mid 70s.
- 17:41We were definitely moving into that video age.
- 17:43Weren't we in season eight? Yes, yeah.
- 17:46Yeah, and yes, absolutely. And this Gantry said this was
- 17:52also bigger than originally envisioned, right?
- 17:55Okay, so yeah, it was higher up than envisioned in the script
- 18:00but it does allow us to get these these shots imposing Yeah.
- 18:05Yes. Highly.
- 18:07Highly imposing and of course we have Mr. Sagan here who is an
- 18:12Awakening for many. We've all got her are Awakening.
- 18:18Care has a certain way. Yeah, I mean for me it's
- 18:23actually give up oh my word. Yeah, that's understandable.
- 18:32So I Halls, he came on because favorite recently and his was
- 18:35You know, the young you went to mr.
- 18:38McQuaid. Guy's eyes eyes in the dark,
- 18:40that that guy. Yeah, Soldier not Sylvester
- 18:43McCoy. Oh my word.
- 18:44No, she's Perkins. Paper played by Christian and
- 18:48Holt who is the son of space? 1999 Estonian hold hell, is that
- 18:55Series 2 space 1999? He plays Tony the deshi, you
- 19:00know about space 1999. You know that I found out the
- 19:04other day. And I know, you know this but I
- 19:06just have to share my complete shock about it that the the
- 19:10daughter of Barbara Bain and Martin Lando is Drusilla from
- 19:16Buffy. Yes, yes, I hell and Ramona,
- 19:24Swedish. She can act.
- 19:26Yes, yes, she's really good with parents, honestly.
- 19:29Yeah, I saw something once where I think it was a pro and I I
- 19:35thought she was in it and she was really, really terrible.
- 19:37But then I checked the credits and it wasn't her and I was very
- 19:40happy when we apply right, you know?
- 19:44Oh yeah, we're almost at the end, we've got nine more to get
- 19:47through. You could probably pull that any
- 19:49actor in this, you know, they probably turned up in a Playa or
- 19:52some point. Oh, yeah, it's one.
- 19:54It's one of those interchangeable things like
- 19:57blank, Seventh, Doctor, Who, you know, you need any one of those
- 20:00pyro cast. You'll find a Doctor Who actor
- 20:02in there somewhere. The the copilot from horns of
- 20:07nyman is Roger Ackroyd in Poirot in the murder of not back and
- 20:12Terrace Malcolm Terrace and there's actually really good.
- 20:16He's really good. What are you talking about?
- 20:19He's amazing at the copilot. We can scum this.
- 20:26Yeah, this is beautiful. Just be Rock wandering around.
- 20:32So is he like a different time zone or something?
- 20:34Because he's he's in kind of, he was in slow motion where they
- 20:38were all in regular time, I'm going to need you to explain
- 20:42some of this to me like a summer so you don't get he has, he has
- 20:46now synchronized with their time if you like.
- 20:52So if you imagine, for instance, something like, okay, for
- 20:58Untitled Star Trek project, you haven't done the next phase.
- 21:01Yet. But have you seen the next phase
- 21:04when they're when they're running through the walls?
- 21:06Exactly. And they have to, they have to
- 21:08come back in to face with everyone else.
- 21:10That's what Barack was doing. That's a terrific we thank you
- 21:14for that or rather he was bringing the Tardis into phase
- 21:19with him with him so that they can help.
- 21:23Okay, now I would have none of it because he was smoking like
- 21:25you wouldn't believe yeah yeah yeah Paul Cowboy he goes for
- 21:29heroin this. Yeah, yeah.
- 21:31Well, you know it was all part of the bid made JN T thought
- 21:36that canine was too powerful. So they successively depower him
- 21:41over the course of the series. You know?
- 21:43He gets water logged in Leisure Hive, which means is batteries,
- 21:49run down quicker. He gets his head knocked off in
- 21:52Full Circle. I'm sorry when they decapitate
- 21:54him. I was almost out.
- 21:55Then I was like, this is Ian? What about General grogger?
- 21:58Gives them a boot up the ass. Well, built.
- 22:01Fraser said he would only do it if he got to if you got to kick
- 22:04canine. So they Rose Valley like this is
- 22:06why we like Beatrice labor better because she wanted to
- 22:08come but she wanted to pay him and be nice to him, you know?
- 22:12Yeah. Yeah.
- 22:13Give him a Lycra camera. That's a lovely story from
- 22:18Matrix limit and also, yeah, something I think James he was
- 22:23conscious of in this story is, you know, he was very aware that
- 22:29we've grown Williams and companion.
- 22:31Patches. They just kind of happened.
- 22:35There was no build-up to it. So here Romanus signals that she
- 22:38intends to leave because since Meg laws, we've been told that
- 22:42she's going to have to be dragged back to Gallifrey.
- 22:45Yeah. So you know they built up to it
- 22:48and really all of J and T's companion departures.
- 22:54Are given very sensible reasons in the story.
- 22:57Yeah, I would agree with that. Yeah, yeah, I mean even Tegan's
- 23:01that is quite abrupt, it's it's under it's understandable.
- 23:05Some people would say this is very abrupt, wouldn't they?
- 23:08But I think you're right. I think this seeded into the
- 23:10story file better. Yeah.
- 23:12Some people's what's interesting there is you've got he's asking
- 23:15about in space. So this is about his continuing
- 23:17adventures and in the same breath she's talking about.
- 23:20So it's like the two companions are essentially tagging each
- 23:23other because ones out and we're having a concert.
- 23:26It's just a shame that these two I can kind of tell these two
- 23:29didn't get on. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 23:33And while, you know, LOL, LOL, sort of sense that she was
- 23:41unimpressed by Matthews, lack of professionalism.
- 23:44So for instance, when they were shooting State of Decay and he's
- 23:46in that lovely outfit, that all con puts him in.
- 23:49Yes, well he can take Brendan come, he didn't take off the
- 23:59outfit when he went to lunch, okay?
- 24:02Lala saw that as a very imperfect.
- 24:06Of course, Lala was friends with the costume designer, June
- 24:09Hudson, and is sort of understood the work that went
- 24:11into it and it's actually her contempt for him.
- 24:16Has absolutely extended it a past Doctor, Who because she's
- 24:20at conventions now, and she says, scathing things about
- 24:22nephew, all I ask, Oh yeah. And you have to think that they
- 24:27should come a time. Where are you?
- 24:29Unless of course, And I'm not speculating this about making
- 24:35what has, but if there is a situation where someone has
- 24:37suffered abuse say with the rift between Nicola Bryant and J and
- 24:41T, I completely understand that there are some things that are
- 24:46unforgivable, but I think a slightly unsatisfactory working
- 24:51relationship in 1918. Yeah, maybe should be reviewed,
- 24:56same time. You're not under any obligation
- 24:58to like anyone. That's very true and I, I always
- 25:01admire your honesty and she's very Really.
- 25:03Yeah. In a couple of yes.
- 25:05Very honest. It can be quite comfortable
- 25:06sometimes but it's kind of more interesting than people just
- 25:09going. Oh well, it was lovely with a
- 25:12lovely time, you know? Yeah, that's true.
- 25:14That's true. And I think I think, for
- 25:16Matthews part of it, you know, Matthew is aware of all this and
- 25:18kind of just goes well, you know, maybe I want a little shit
- 25:22and the interesting thing is I think over as time has gone on,
- 25:25he's matured into a very thoughtful man, Matthew was
- 25:28house. And if you have you seen the
- 25:30when Toby hey, do had like a weekend with him and hey.
- 25:33Hastings. It's beautiful.
- 25:34It's gorgeous and beautiful. And he just comes across as a
- 25:37very smart, very sweet. Very thoughtful, man.
- 25:41In fact, is Hastings just down the road from our might, you
- 25:43know, knock him up for a cup of tea.
- 25:46Sorry, no, just a couple, just a couple.
- 25:48I think he'd enjoy that. Sorry, did you just see that
- 25:54astonishment cobweb Laden banquet?
- 25:57I will say, yes, it's extraordinary and the stuff with
- 26:02walking through the I was done with mirrors and perspect
- 26:08sheeting to sort of achieve the transparency effect, but also,
- 26:12you know, walk behind one and through another.
- 26:15And it's so it's so very good. I don't think we have any photos
- 26:19of the setup. Unfortunately, I watch the photo
- 26:21gallery just before we started recording.
- 26:25June, husband says, on the documentary on the behind the
- 26:28sofa. So she's on the behind the
- 26:30circular that originally Lee, he wanted to do it with Quicksilver
- 26:35so he wanted to see. Oh, yes, but but that was
- 26:38absolutely veto because obviously it's toxic and it's
- 26:41you know, blah blah, blah, but it just goes to show like the
- 26:44breath of his ambition with the visual.
- 26:46Yes, I have a feeling that somewhere on the Blu-ray.
- 26:50We do have a test footage where they, you know, no one, no one's
- 26:54hand that we're near it, but they get to one of the ferrule
- 26:57they dip to a glove in in the Quicksilver you know?
- 27:03Just just for those close-ups. And yes, it didn't end up being
- 27:06used. And I think possibly, unless you
- 27:09can do the ripple effect on the full thing.
- 27:11That's, that's the right decision.
- 27:12In my opinion, we have the gun, the gun, damn robot, who were
- 27:17originally called the Shogun robots.
- 27:21But they decided, you know, let's not use a real human
- 27:25cultural thing here, like everything else in this story.
- 27:29I think they are terrifically designed, but they look It's
- 27:33very impressive. Do you have some tells a story
- 27:35about them as well about how the BBC refused to pay her taxi fare
- 27:39because she had bags and bags of good and bad parts that needed
- 27:43to get to a set. Seriously were like, no, we're
- 27:46not, we're not paying for you to take your shopping from A to B.
- 27:49So, that's how she purrs it. But she's like, I've got a
- 27:51shopping bags full of gun, dance here and we're not going to have
- 27:54any robots. If you don't let me get there,
- 27:57she says, you know, oh yes, yeah absolutely.
- 28:01Oh I think, I think, you know I I think that's why everyone
- 28:04loved her because she had the gumption and she also had the
- 28:09talent, and I don't know if she still does it, but about five
- 28:14years ago, she was teaching fashion design at universities.
- 28:18And what she would do is she would give the students a
- 28:22classic Doctor Who story. Wow, and very often.
- 28:25Not even once she worked on and said, I want you to design the
- 28:29costumes for this and as Annex As an example and they are out
- 28:34there, she did. Suggested costume designs for
- 28:43the two doctors and I'm again, novel.
- 28:50I can't remember which, but he has, she would do well, shakes
- 28:54of. She did concept designs for
- 28:58Paul, Mars novels for Iris, wild time, the Blue Angel, and the
- 29:04Scarlet empress. And she's down the one she's
- 29:07done. Actual like fantastic drawing
- 29:11the virus while type in this you know, like the Last Vegas are as
- 29:14wild time. I don't see occasionally one as
- 29:17well. It crazy theaters.
- 29:18And yeah, this she said she was interesting about her visa, her
- 29:24memory of the Fabrics that she used.
- 29:27The time it took to do the budget.
- 29:30She had to work with. It's Crystal Clear?
- 29:32No, she's not a young woman, you know?
- 29:34No no, that's against physics, extraordinary.
- 29:38Extraordinary woman, right? So we are at the end of part 1.
- 29:45So I see. Twelve.
