  And because Jesus is the reason for the season, I thought it
• 0:12
  would be great to have an episode where we take a look at
• 0:15
  the final words spoken by Jesus as he's about to depart this
• 0:21
  world of his bestowal and the words that he says to certain
• 0:24
  groups over the appearances that he made just prior to his final
• 0:30
  departure. And it's very interesting when
• 0:32
  you look at the last few things. You know, when you and I, when
• 0:36
  we know we're about to leave for vacation or we're about to go
• 0:39
  off on a new adventure, we choose our words very carefully
• 0:44
  when we know that they're going to be the last final words.
• 0:46
  And when you think about the fact that here is this man, this
• 0:50
  man, God really, who knew that his time was short and this is
• 0:55
  the master of the universe, this is the create creator son.
• 0:59
  And he had some final words that he wanted to express before he
• 1:03
  departed. And this occurred to me that,
• 1:08
  you know, because of the importance of them being his
• 1:10
  final words, I went and I looked and I I looked at the different
• 1:13
  people that he chose to associate with in those final
• 1:16
  moments and the things that he chose to say not only to general
• 1:20
  believers in one part of of Israel but in another with his
• 1:26
  apostles and his disciples. And then He goes and He's visits
• 1:29
  other believers that are scattered about.
• 1:32
  And it's amazing to read these final words and compare what he
• 1:37
  said to each of the different groups.
• 1:38
  And we'll do that in just a moment here on The Ranch Radio
• 1:42

  Radio Podcast. It is the reason for the season

  we're going to focus on. Jesus and the final words that
• 2:28
  He spoke to those around him during those final days and
• 2:32
  hours of His life. This was after His resurrection.
• 2:36
  These are the words of the Master Son after he had been
• 2:39
  resurrected on that Sunday morning from the tomb of Joseph.
• 2:45
  And he began to appear before His apostles and disciples and
• 2:51
  fellow believers in that region where He was.
• 2:55
  And I took to paper 193 and began to examine the last four
• 3:00
  or five times that he appeared before the assembled believers
• 3:05
  and the words that he chose to use in each of those situations.
• 3:08
  And I and I think it's appropriate and and I know that
• 3:11
  it'll be inspiring for me to be able to share these words with
• 3:14
  you. So why don't we just dig right
• 3:17
  in and talk about the final appearances before His apostles
• 3:22
  and his disciples? And it reads from paper 93.
• 3:28
  On this evening, the Jerusalem believers had made their first
• 3:31
  attempt to get together since the resurrection.
• 3:34
  Assembled here at this time were the 11 apostles, the Women's
• 3:38
  Corps, That's the Women's Evangelical Corps and their
• 3:42
  associates, and about 50 other leading disciples of the master,
• 3:45
  including a number of Greeks. This company of believers have
• 3:50
  been visiting informally for about 1/2 an hour, when suddenly
• 3:55
  the Maracha master appeared in full view and immediately began
• 3:59
  to instruct them. Said Jesus, Peace be upon you.
• 4:06
  This is the most representative group of believers, apostles and
• 4:09
  disciples, both men and women, to which I have appeared since
• 4:14
  the time of my deliverance from the flesh.
• 4:17
  I now call you to witness that I told you beforehand that my
• 4:22
  sojourn among you must come to an end.
• 4:25
  I told you that presently I must return to the Father, And then I
• 4:29
  plainly told you how the chief priests and the rulers of the
• 4:33
  Jews would deliver me up to be put to death, and that I would
• 4:38
  rise from the grave. Why, then, did you allow
• 4:42
  yourself to become so disconcerted by all of this when
• 4:46
  it came to pass? And why were you so surprised
• 4:50
  when I rose from the tomb on the third day?
• 4:54
  You failed to believe me because you heard my words without
• 4:58
  comprehending the meaning thereof.
• 5:02
  And now you should give ear to my words, lest you again make
• 5:05
  the mistake of hearing my teaching with the mind while in
• 5:09
  your heart you failed to comprehend the meaning.
• 5:14
  From the beginning of My sojourn as one of you, I taught you that
• 5:18
  my one purpose was to reveal my Father in heaven To his children
• 5:22
  on earth I have lived the God, revealing bestowal that you
• 5:27
  might experience the God knowing career.
• 5:30
  I revealed God as your Father in heaven.
• 5:34
  I have revealed you as the sons of God on earth.
• 5:38
  It is a fact that God loves you His sons.
• 5:41
  By faith in my word, this fact becomes and eternal and living
• 5:46
  truth in your hearts, when by living faith you become divinely
• 5:52
  God, conscious. You are then born of the Spirit
• 5:55
  as children of light and life, even the eternal life wherewith
• 6:00
  you shall ascend the universe of universes and attain the
• 6:04
  experience of finding God the Father on Paradise, he
• 6:09
  continued. I admonish you ever to remember
• 6:12
  that your mission among men is to proclaim the gospel of the
• 6:16
  Kingdom, the reality of the Father of God, and the truth of
• 6:20
  sonship of man. Proclaim the whole truth of the
• 6:24
  good news, not just a part of the saving gospel.
• 6:28
  Your message is not changed by my resurrection experience.
• 6:33
  Sonship with God by faith is still the saving truth of the
• 6:37
  gospel of the Kingdom. You are to go forth preaching
• 6:42
  the love of God and the service of man.
• 6:46
  That which the world needs most to know is this.
• 6:50
  Men are the sons of God, and through faith they can actually
• 6:55
  realize and daily experience this ennobling truth.
• 7:00
  My bestowal should help all men to know that they are the
• 7:04
  children of God. But such knowledge will not
• 7:07
  suffice if they fail personally to faith.
• 7:10
  Grasp the saving truth that they are the living spirit, sons of
• 7:14
  the Eternal Father. The gospel of the Kingdom is
• 7:17
  concerned with only the love of the Father and the service of
• 7:21
  his children on earth, he continued.
• 7:25
  Among yourselves here you share the knowledge that I have risen
• 7:28
  from the dead, but that is not strange.
• 7:31
  I have the power to lay down my life and take it up again.
• 7:35
  The Father gives such power to his Paradise Sons.
• 7:39
  You should there rather be stirred in your hearts by the
• 7:41
  knowledge that the dead of an age entered upon the eternal
• 7:46
  ascent. Soon after I left Joseph's new
• 7:49
  tomb, I lived my life in the flesh to show how you can,
• 7:55
  through loving service become God, revealing to your fellow
• 7:59
  men, even as by loving you and serving you as I have become
• 8:04
  God. Revealing to you, I have lived
• 8:07
  among you as the Son of Man, that you and all other men might
• 8:11
  know that you are all indeed the sons of God.
• 8:13
  Therefore go you now into all the world preaching this gospel
• 8:19
  of the Kingdom of heaven to all men.
• 8:22
  Love all men as I have loved you.
• 8:24
  Serve your fellow mortals as as I have served you freely.
• 8:27
  You have received freely gift only tarry in Jerusalem, while I
• 8:32
  go on to the Father. And until I send you the Spirit
• 8:35
  of Truth, he shall lead you into the enlarged truth, and I will
• 8:39
  go with you into all of the world.
• 8:41
  I am with you always, and my peace I leave with you.
• 8:46
  And when the Master had spoken to them, he vanished from their
• 8:50
  sight. So then, a short time later, a
• 8:53
  final appearance before General believers.
• 8:55
  At about 4:00 on Sabbath afternoon, May 13th, the Master
• 9:00
  appeared to Nalda and about the 75 Samaritan believers near
• 9:05
  Jacob's well at Socar. The believers were in the habit
• 9:09
  of meeting at this place near where Jesus had spoke, spoken to
• 9:13
  Nalda concerning the water of life.
• 9:16
  On this day, just as they had finished their discussions on
• 9:19
  the reported resurrection, Jesus suddenly appeared before them,
• 9:22
  saying, Peace be upon you. You rejoice to know that I am
• 9:28
  the resurrection and the life. But this will avail you nothing
• 9:32
  unless you are first born of the eternal Spirit, thereby coming
• 9:36
  to possess by faith the gift of eternal life.
• 9:40
  If you are the faith sons of my Father, you shall never die.
• 9:43
  You shall not perish. The gospel of the Kingdom has
• 9:47
  taught you that all men are the sons of God, and this good news
• 9:51
  concerning the love of the Heavenly Father for his children
• 9:53
  on earth must be carried to all the world.
• 9:58
  The time has come when you worship God neither in Gerizim
• 10:01
  nor at Jerusalem, but where you are as you are in spirit and in
• 10:07
  truth, it is your faith that saves your souls.
• 10:12
  Salvation is the gift of God to all who believe they are his
• 10:15
  sons. But be not deceived.
• 10:18
  While salvation is the free gift of God and is bestowed upon all
• 10:22
  who accepted by faith, there follows the experience of
• 10:26
  bearing the fruits of the Spirit life as it is lived in the
• 10:30
  flesh. The acceptance of the doctrine
• 10:33
  of the fatherhood of God implies that you also freely accept the
• 10:38
  associated truth of the brotherhood of man.
• 10:43
  And if man is your brother, he's even more than your neighbor,
• 10:46
  whom the Father requires you to love as yourself, your brother
• 10:51
  being of your own family, you will not only love with a family
• 10:54
  affection, but you will also serve as you would serve
• 10:58
  yourself. And you will thus love and serve
• 11:01
  your brother, because you, being my brethren, have been thus
• 11:05
  loved and served by me. Go then into all the world
• 11:09
  telling this good news to all creatures of every race, tribe,
• 11:13
  and nation. My spirit shall go before you,
• 11:18
  and I will be with you always. And then the masters. 18th
• 11:23
  Marantia appearance was a tire on Tuesday, May 16th, at a
• 11:29
  little before 9:00 in the evening, again he appeared at
• 11:32
  the close of a meeting of believers, as they were about to
• 11:35
  disperse, saying, peace be upon you.
• 11:38
  You rejoice to know that the Son of Man has risen from the dead,
• 11:42
  because you thereby know that you and your brethren shall also
• 11:45
  survive mortal death. But such survival is dependent
• 11:49
  on you having been previously born of the Spirit of truth
• 11:52
  seeking and finding. God.
• 11:55
  The bread of life and the water thereof are given only to those
• 11:59
  who hunger for truth and thirst for righteousness for God.

  The fact that the dead rise is not the gospel of the Kingdom.
• 12:08
  These great truths and these universe facts are all related
• 12:12
  to the gospel, and that they are part of the result of believing
• 12:15
  the good news and are embraced in the subsequent experience of
• 12:19
  those who by faith become in deed and in truth the
• 12:23
  everlasting sons of the eternal God.
• 12:26
  My Father sent me into the world to proclaim the salvation of
• 12:29
  sonship to all men, and so I send you abroad to preach the
• 12:33
  salvation of sonship. Salvation is the free gift of
• 12:37
  God, but those who are born of the Spirit will immediately
• 12:41
  begin to show forth the fruits of the Spirit in loving service
• 12:45
  to their fellow creatures and the fruits of the Divine Spirit
• 12:49
  which are yielded in the lives of spirit born and God knowing
• 12:53
  mortals. And here are their qualities,
• 12:56
  loving service, unselfish devotion, courageous loyalty,
• 13:01
  sincere fairness, enlightened honesty, undying hope, confident
• 13:07
  trust, merciful ministry, unfailing goodness, forgiving
• 13:11
  tolerance, and enduring peace. If professed believers bear not
• 13:16
  these fruits of the Divine Spirit in their lives, they are
• 13:18
  dead. The spirit of truth is not in
• 13:21
  them. They are useless branches on the
• 13:23
  living vine, and they soon will be taken away.
• 13:27
  My father requires of the children of faith that they bear
• 13:30
  much spirit fruit. If therefore, you are not
• 13:32
  fruitful, he will dig about your roots and cut away your
• 13:36
  unfruitful branches. Increasingly, you must yield the
• 13:39
  fruits of the Spirit as you progress heavenward in the
• 13:42
  Kingdom of God. You may enter the Kingdom as a
• 13:46
  child, but the Father requires that you grow up grace by grace
• 13:49
  to the full stature of spiritual adulthood.
• 13:53
  And when you go abroad to tell all nations the good news of the
• 13:56
  gospel, I will go before you, and my spirit of truth shall
• 14:01
  abide in your hearts. My peace I leave with you.
• 14:07
  And then the Master disappeared from their sight.
• 14:10
  And now we're at the final appearance of the Master to His
• 14:13
  apostles at the same place by the way of the Last Supper,
• 14:16
  Mary, Mark's House, it reads from paper 193, chapter 3.
• 14:22
  Early Thursday morning, May 18th, Jesus made his last
• 14:26
  appearance on earth as a Marantia personality.
• 14:29
  As the 11 apostles were about to sit down for breakfast in the
• 14:33
  upper Chamber of Mary Mark's home, Jesus appeared to them and
• 14:36
  said, peace be upon you. I have asked you to tarry here
• 14:40
  in Jerusalem until I ascend to the Father, even until I send
• 14:44
  you the Spirit of truth, who shall soon be poured out upon
• 14:47
  all flesh, and who shall endow you with the power from on high?
• 14:53
  Simon Zelitz interrupted Jesus, asking.
• 14:56
  Then, master, will you restore the Kingdom?
• 14:59
  And will we see the glory of God manifested on earth?
• 15:03
  When Jesus had listened to Simon's question, he answered.
• 15:06
  Simon, you still cling to your old ideas about the Jewish
• 15:10
  Messiah and the material Kingdom, but you will receive
• 15:15
  spiritual power after the Spirit has descended upon you, and you
• 15:19
  will presently go into all the world preaching this gospel of
• 15:22
  the Kingdom. As the Father sent me into the
• 15:24
  world, so do I send you. And I wish he would love and
• 15:28
  trust one another. And then, when he had thus
• 15:32
  finished spoken, he beckoned them to come with him, and he
• 15:35
  led them out to the Mount of Olives, where he bade them
• 15:38
  farewell preparatory to departing from our world
• 15:42
  Urantia. This was a solemn journey to
• 15:45
  Olivet. Not a word was spoken by any of
• 15:48
  the apostles from the time they left the upper chamber until
• 15:51
  Jesus paused with them on the Mount of Olives and in his final
• 15:55
  appearance with the apostles. It was about 7:30 Thursday
• 16:00
  morning, May 18th, when Jesus arrived on the western slope of
• 16:05
  Mount Olivet, with his 11th silent and somewhat bewildered
• 16:08
  apostles. From this location, about 2/3
• 16:11
  the way up the mountain, they could look out over Jerusalem
• 16:15
  and down upon Gethsemane. Jesus now prepared to say his
• 16:19
  last farewell to the apostles before he took leave of Urantia.
• 16:24
  And as he stood there before them without being directed,
• 16:27
  they knelt about him in a circle.
• 16:30
  And the Master said, I bode you to Terry in Jerusalem until you
• 16:34
  were endowed with the power from on high.
• 16:37
  I am now about to take leave of you.
• 16:39
  I'm about to ascend to my Father, and soon, very soon, we
• 16:43
  will send into this world of my sojourn the spirit of Truth.
• 16:48
  And when he has come, you shall begin the new proclamation of
• 16:52
  the gospel of the Kingdom, first in Jerusalem, and then on to the
• 16:56
  uttermost parts of the world. Love men with the love wherewith
• 17:00
  I have loved you and serve your fellow mortals, even as I have
• 17:04
  served you by the spirit fruits of your lives.
• 17:06
  Impel souls to believe the truth that man is the son of God, and
• 17:11
  that all men are brethren. Remember all I have taught you
• 17:14
  and the life I have lived among you.
• 17:17
  My love overshadows you. My spirit will dwell with you,
• 17:23
  and my peace shall abide upon you.
• 17:26
  Farewell. When the Marancha master had the
• 17:29
  spoken, he vanished from their sight.
• 17:32
  This so-called ascension of Jesus was in no way different
• 17:35
  from his other disappearances from mortal vision during the 40
• 17:39
  days of his career in spirit form the Morontia form on
• 17:43
  Urantia. So in summary, as Jesus was
• 17:48
  speaking to the Apostles, his emphasis has always been to
• 17:53
  reveal God as a Father and that we are the sons of God on earth
• 17:58
  and that he loves us and that through this process it means
• 18:01
  nothing unless we're born of the Spirit.
• 18:04
  And what is being born of the Spirit about recognizing sonship
• 18:07
  with God. And in doing so, Jesus taught we
• 18:11
  would have eternal life by accepting this truth with the
• 18:15
  second group, who are perhaps a little less aware of the full
• 18:19
  teachings of Jesus. He simply proclaimed the gospel,
• 18:23
  which is God as your father and you are spirit brothers of the
• 18:27
  same Father and that the Kingdom belongs to all children who love
• 18:31
  gods and serve each other. At Tyre he says he introduces
• 18:37
  the concept more fully of being born of the Spirit.
• 18:41
  The intellectual approach to religion is useless unless you
• 18:46
  can be born of the spirit and understand the spiritual import
• 18:50
  of your faith and that is what connects you to God.
• 18:55
  And then his final words of dissertation to his apostles.
• 18:59
  Love each other as I have loved you.
• 19:00
  Serve each other as you would serve yourself, and remember the
• 19:05
  gospel, the fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of man.
• 19:10
  And that remains to this day the gospel that is the gospel.
• 19:14
  Now, whatever else we've managed to add to it all these
• 19:17
  centuries. Well, but let us remember in
• 19:21
  this Christmas season the words of Jesus on those final days.
• 19:26
